Starting point is 00:08:48 They gave me a call. I had to go ahead and put them on game with some things. I'm sorry. Gil's a read-up next. Black men get to ask the questions. I got to give them the secret sauce. I'm sorry. Hey.
Starting point is 00:09:00 But let's get into this thing. So let's talk a little bit about Drake. He's been out in L.A. doing shows and pulling up to the through the lens runs. They're doing over at Campbell Hall looking like the magnificent We got the The photo There it is With the Fubo shirt that you got to give them love sure is that was that early 2000s? Well, that's 90s, right? 95, 97?
Starting point is 00:09:28 Yeah, that's the mid-90s. That's that look right there. 2000s, they're saying, Gil. Took over. I wasn't in college. I was still in football from the basketball locker rooms. But why the pink clamps, though? That's all I got to question.
Starting point is 00:09:45 You can wear which one. You got the you got pink Rats yeah, I like the thing when you part your hair the little clamp things you put on it to separate everything. Yeah, it's pink I just want to know why the pink ones listen. I'm gonna be honest with y'all When you got your own plane you can do what you want I do just understand that you can one but why pink though just just they say real men we're pink I do I plenty pink in my closet but I got peach yeah I'm saying I got like that's not pretty I got some pink I got I got some pink plenty pink in my because I'm half a man but a woman might have did that.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Oh, he's already one or two. He's a grown-ass man, but I just like that color. But Drake had a show. Hey. Oh, well. Drake had a show at Staples Center last night and made his grand entrance with LeBron and Bronny. They pulled up. Good to see Bronny doing well after the health scare.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Got time for the Drake show. You can tell he a hooper hooper, right? Who else is that? Got his sweats tucked into his socks. Bronny, I don't know who the other gentleman was, maybe security, but Drake took some time out of the show to show some love to Bron. Said he was one of the first people to support him. Came to his mixtape release party back in 2009 in Toronto.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Now they're both out here doing it. But, you know, obviously Drake's got some NBA NBA influence the work he does with the Raptors But God need to ask you first. What's your favorite Drake song? Favorite tricks or one you can name on this show I Like all his radio hits and I ain't gonna lie Anything that's on the radio I'm loving it, but I ain even gonna lie. Radio hits. Anything that's on the radio, I'm loving it. I ain't gonna lie. I got a whole Drake mix tape. That's real shit.
Starting point is 00:11:32 It's so many. Mika, how about yourself? What's your favorite Drake song? Drake's my favorite rapper. I can't even give you a favorite Drake song. There's too many. Way too many. But shout out the most recent album gone. I think it went platinum the Honestly, never mind. I think that just went plan people said that was like his worst album. That's album is amazing He's still getting like the little euro pop shit, whatever but Drake can't miss. Hmm. Okay about yourself
Starting point is 00:12:04 Probably off of... Mixtape. What is it? Girls Love Drake. Mixtape. Okay. What is it? Ball Out. Cannonball song.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Yeah. Yeah, I like the... Yeah. ...references and... ...shitty making. Yeah, no, it's pretty cool. Yeah, no, you got some good shit out there though We got shot we only have one person on this couch that drags on but that just means he has too many hitters over
Starting point is 00:12:30 Was over just was that a title of a song over boom? Yeah, you can't yeah That was that real that was like my basketball time and you thought it was all like that was it 9 a.m In Dallas freestyle with one of them Dallas Dallas do you know you're probably not a fan I don't know like you can't be a fan have one I have too many Well the concert look hard no music no none of us got that where y'all go I'm going to Houston on September 17 now my daughter, my daughter went. She went the opening night. For sure.
Starting point is 00:13:06 But what's the best concert you've been to? Beyonce. Ooh, how long ago? This was like when I was with the Washington Wizards. Came in. She actually signed the jersey for me. Put her name on it, number one. Signed the jersey.
Starting point is 00:13:22 And then just watching her perform. I downloaded every Beyonce song after that. Oh She was popping that thing Cuz I just did like we teamed up for some charity stuff, right? So she was like, yeah, I want you to be the man that I grind on. Whoa. That was terrifying. At the concerts? Yeah, my hormones. I'm sorry, I can't do that on stage.
Starting point is 00:13:49 I'd be, nah, nah, nah, nah, we're not going to do that. I went up there, they didn't, yeah, I was. Yeah, I came down to Boulder, you know what I mean? I can't fake it. Favorite concert? Hard Knock Life joint. Oh, back in the day. Dallas.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Yeah, that one. Then I went to Yankee Stadium. Hov at Yankee Stadium. I went to that one. There's a theme here. Rihanna. Obviously Beyonce's amazing. I've seen her too. But Rihanna's my favorite. I've seen her about three times in concert, three different albums she put out. Her music speaks to me. It's real nasty,
Starting point is 00:14:32 sexy. It's about smoking weed and just being a real bitch. She's a good time. She puts on a great show. I haven't been to a whole lot of concerts, though. I got a phobia of people standing behind me. So I don't, if it ain't a certain setup, I can't go. I'm just being honest. You got to get it sweet. No, no, no. I like being like, but I just, I got to be,
Starting point is 00:14:55 it got to be a certain angle. Your back got to get against the wall. Yeah, I just, people walking behind me and standing out, they're bumping you, and I just, I. Yeah. You got to get drunk. When I sound'm drunk. Everybody above it to me. Everybody just spilled drinks on me T-pain and I remember watching T-pain and Usher was a good one. T-pain was opening up for Usher. That was yeah, I went to us a show
Starting point is 00:15:20 Yeah, they be a We was in Miami. He had that big-ass bed on the stage. He can't get away with this shit now, probably, but he bringing chicks up on the stage.
Starting point is 00:15:32 They land up, and he just, I'm like, yo, this boy. Not in this day. I know. I did see Usher in Vegas, and that was,
Starting point is 00:15:40 that was, it's worth it. Oh, my God. Yeah, that's a good show. If you ain't been, you better go. That's a relationship ender right there. Why is it a relationship in there? I'm saying to your girl saying to you what? He does that every single
Starting point is 00:15:59 Is over but what's wrong I'm saying if you're well, what is that? Yeah, what's wrong with it? I'm saying the man my wife there we own this because we went to the show Yeah, you said on the stage They had the two tables on the stage if he would have came over there and started singing sir Like what am I going right? Like if she stand up and all I can start like then like what I'm Fighting with some yeah, like no like that's part of we know that we know if it was the other way around No, and I was Beyonce now came over. Because we know that's, we know if it was the other way around. No. And that was Beyonce. No. Came over there singing to you over there, baby boy.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Yeah, you know, we'd be in trouble like a motherfucker. No, you would not. No woman would even trip. Like, I think that any man that's going to trip off of Usher singing to your girl, first of all, his wife is there, his kids are there. Like, this is a part of his show. It's a performance. Nah, I know what it is. Yeah, you insecure if you're having a problem with that.
Starting point is 00:16:46 You know what I'm saying? Let Rihanna sing to me. But you're single. Let her sing. No, my relationship. Let her sing to me. That's probably because you're my girl right there. What's going to happen?
Starting point is 00:16:56 Huh? What's going to happen? I'm enjoying myself. Your girl going to leave you after that? Then she was never really your girl. Exactly. I got a DM full of X's. If you take it to the next level, grab her, put your tongue in her mouth.
Starting point is 00:17:10 That's different. Grop her and all that, then yeah, then yeah, that's probable cause. You might not see Rihanna again. You gotta go for her. You gotta go for her. I take your shot. You gonna risk it all? Risk it all. That's why you ain't got her.
Starting point is 00:17:23 You gonna be single forever. God I'm talking about that Kiki Palmer music Yeah, I heard he left He's regular it was only if that pushed it over the edge. The shit was rock. Yeah, it was rocky going They got an argument going Going to the fun concert right? I'm saying hey, they was added going to the fucking concert right? I'm saying they was added going to the concert She like me let let him come over and see me watch what I do Right and then to for you to put it on social media like this relax, bro
Starting point is 00:17:54 Like you let us you see to your wife. Yeah, that's fine I'm not I'm taking two steps It's a different scenario if he grab her bring her down That's a different story That's a different story Now if he do that I got probable cause to go out there and choke slam All the people You know what I'm saying Now if he do that now I got probable cause to go out there and choke slam
Starting point is 00:18:33 He's a good performer like I said But if he take break out there and start grinding on and I'm saying lay down with his head between a lid I'm then we got a fucking problem. Yeah We good brother I do you I'm saying I'm a fan shit I'm a singing song with you Here I stand right now There's a 50th anniversary of hip-hop and we all know hip-hop a hoop go hand-in-hand rappers want to be Hoopers Who would want to be rappers me? So looking back Gil and Kane Kane, you've both been featured
Starting point is 00:19:05 in several rap songs. What's your favorite song hearing your name drum? Probably, I mean, you know, because it was Jay-Z, you know, Under Pressure. It didn't get released, him and Dr. Dre. You know, so yeah. There's multiple? Yeah. If you go search...
Starting point is 00:19:26 Yeah, there's a few, but I don't know, man. I think I was more enthused that Scarface knew who the fuck I was. Okay. Like, I met him earlier. He was like, I know, I'm introducing myself. He's like, nah, Mo Cliff. And I ran out. I'm like, man!
Starting point is 00:19:41 I turned around and told my partner, hey, man, Face know me, dawg! Face know me. I know you want to ask me, but I just turned around told my partner. Amen face. No me I Know you want to ask me but I was actually interrupts. You know what shit I feel bad because I didn't know that I didn't read the Questions before the show I don't remember his name, but he's you know I'm like a local rapper that actually shouted me out for the deals that I did with my husband getting him paid and everything Okay, man, I'm so mad. I'm so mad. I'm so sorry, whoever you are.
Starting point is 00:20:07 They're going to put it in the chat. Somebody going to go Google it. I got shouted out in a rap song. Best and worst thing going. Yeah. I'm trying to find it right now. Hold on. Chat, if you know,
Starting point is 00:20:22 because y'all know everything. I'm going to find it. Local from where? Which which area I think it's from either Atlanta or Florida so what you guys think about the people that salty that they didn't get like certain recognition or they didn't have certain things in a city like yeah I think about that what do you mean well there's like Atlanta um which is was a big like they had a big moment in hip-hop there was no acknowledgement of them as their you know the 50 years of hip-hop.
Starting point is 00:20:48 You know how they should have went like City of Heroes. Oh, the BETO. Oh, the BETO. They just didn't really represent. They didn't have. It should have been. Jermaine Dupri. A lot of Jermaine Dupri.
Starting point is 00:20:58 They should have did like, instead of just that. There should have been a bunch of different representations of it. And they just kind of blew it. So they only did New York or something? They moved around, but they just missed a lot. There should have been more than that award show alone. There should have been other stuff. People were very upset because they felt like their hard work and their lane wasn't recognized when they had their moment you know what it's when they do stuff like that it's um sometimes you don't identify with the
Starting point is 00:21:33 person who actually opened up the lane you you you find the person you always get to the person who is driving down the lane but always miss the person who actually bought the car yeah yeah who opened it up so sometimes you know those guys like yo he this was my style yeah he made it poppin but i'm the one who started you always miss that person and even also like they focus on the rappers a lot and it's not always like on the producers the people that actually made the beats they get left behind too yo how much credit did Eton get for getting you open? No.
Starting point is 00:22:08 One full flat. He didn't move out of the way a little bit. You made a point. He didn't get no credit for setting them wall over screens. You're right. That's what happens. The star gets all the shots.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Gil averaged 29. Off screens, off the shots. Yeah, average 29, shit. Off screens, off this thing, and nobody know his name. You know what I'm saying? Big fella. Big fella with the, you know, big fella. Yeah. With the big fella. Yeah, him.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Yeah, big, yeah. Muscle. With the Syracuse, you know, big, big, big man. That's all he is. Yeah, yeah. Oh, my God. Let's keep this thing moving and shaking. Former Lakers and two-time NBA champion
Starting point is 00:22:45 Lamar Odom got bullied by Twitter this weekend for what they deemed an unsatisfactory TV viewing experience. We got... LO was just trying to watch some USA basketball. Ha ha! He posted this. This tweet.
Starting point is 00:23:01 That's an Airbnb. He said, we tuned in USA basketball. Yeah, that's, you know, people had issues with the walls being... That wall's too big, man. First of all, he has a high ceiling. That's a nice home. That's 30 feet? I can tell that the ceiling is high. That's already a plus for me. I don't care how big it is. Yeah, that's 20, 25, yeah. But does the wall need some ambiance? Yeah, maybe he just moved in. Maybe he just got it. Maybe he just got on his feet. you never know what people are going through maybe he's an nba player that's single that's what that looked like but i get it but no listen single nba player i just all that is i hear you i hear you i was going to costco to buy some paper towels and when when you walk in, you know they got the electronic safety TV right there. I bought a 65-inch for $1,400. Actually,
Starting point is 00:23:51 85-inch for $1,400. So he could get one, you're saying? You ain't got to spend $9,000. Yeah. That's what, a 42-inch? No.
Starting point is 00:24:04 32-inch? No, no, man. No, that looks like a 36. Hell no. That's what a 42 inch no 32 it no no This is this is so high taller the top of the fireplace this is 2025 that has to be a 70 No So big yeah, I think it's the proportions. It's the angle that is going That is not a small TV. It looks like a 36 small girl This to the jumbotron is a 36 what it's a it says a 55 inch But Twitter quickly got to pack and hold them up force them into buying a new TV expeditiously. Let's see you posted this one The following day.
Starting point is 00:24:46 See what I mean? But look how big he is. You can't even tell. It looks like it's the same TV. That's peer pressure. You know what I'm saying? He went to Costco. You sure he bought a new one? Yeah. What a course. It looked like the same one. It's mounting. He just got a different angle.
Starting point is 00:25:02 You can tell it's bigger because it's across the fireplace. It's across the fireplace. It's past the fireplace. It's not the same TV. You can tell it's bigger because it's across the fireplace. It's across the fireplace. Yeah, it's past the fireplace. It's not the same TV, bro. It's past the fireplace. I'm gathering it is because you got to get a different mount because you can't use the same mount for that small-ass TV.
Starting point is 00:25:21 He did it that fast? He probably had somebody come out. I'm taking it as he just moved in. He wanted to watch something immediately. The people did say they couldn't come out to this day. He had, listen, I got y'all here now. Go to put this up. I'm going to go with that.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Are we going to go with that one? The fact that he lived in here for a couple years now. Are we going to go with that? We can't be a couple years and there's nothing on the wall. There's nothing anywhere. That's man shit Have you ever been to a single NBA player? I'm gonna fuck how much money he got if he don't have a girl Nine rooms only three of them got furniture the other six
Starting point is 00:26:10 About the living room though half We look closer don't just look at autumn shirt if we got the the clothes I can see titties. Oh, sure. I thought you were saying he has titties. I can see titties. Hey, no, no. I can see titties. He's wild. I would just say, that man's wild. I had him in the big three. What's wild about him? So I'm in the big three. So he's on my team.
Starting point is 00:26:36 He's my captain, right? So he's my captain. So I get his check, and I got to give him his check. All right. So he hits me in the hotel and say, yo, you got my check? I was like, yeah, yeah, I got it. Right? And he was like, oh yeah, bring it to my room. Gave me the room.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Went up. I told him, yo, I'm about to be up there in a couple minutes. He was like, alright, bet. Knock on the door. He ain't having sex. He comes to the door. Maybe he wanted you to join. Booty ball, he answered the door. Normally, normally, he'll answer the door and, you know, just give me a check. Nah, not Lamar.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Lamar swung the door open, walked back to the bed. Shorty just bent over Nick He just hit face pointed. I think he like wait for him to come back. This niggas ball. Yeah Yeah, all's Johnson. They just put it on the table. I'm like that's big dig energy Sure look nice though My man close door what I was like, oh this was me that bitch under the door. Here you go I was like I just it just caught me off guard. You know, just like, all right. You know what, Gil?
Starting point is 00:27:46 What you doing on? Let me say something. Let me say something. You might have just threw this man under the bus. That's what I said. You- What if he had a girl and he was cheating? It was his girl. Oh, that was his girl?
Starting point is 00:27:57 Yeah. And he let you see her like that? She had her face down, so I just- Face down ass up? Oh. Shout out to the- I just saw Lamar yesterday. Oh yeah. Hands down funniest dude I ever met. This is Gil's arena summer vibes.
Starting point is 00:28:12 I wish I could be on the team with him. This is Gil's arena summer vibes. That man has fun. These vibes are out of pocket right now. I hope that was his girl. What's the worst time that you've been clowned on social media? If you can remember you Clowned like like where it was true. They were just just hate me could be hey, you know
Starting point is 00:28:32 he all time Every comment I make I get packed up for it There was no social media when the shack. Yeah, cuz because he active. That would have been... He active on... I can only imagine. He enjoys it. He thrives on it. Oh, I like that shit.
Starting point is 00:28:50 You thrive on it. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he likes it. That's why he keeps posting me. Like, he's really... You're getting on my nerves. What'd I do? You're annoying.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Let it go, okay? I won the leadership argument. I won. Stop asking people who won. I won. It's a question. You asked it two different posts already. I won. Stop asking people who won. I won. It's a question. You asked it two different posts already. I won. Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:08 No, this last one I didn't ask. Yes, you did. I did not ask the last one. I just said man shit. I didn't ask. That was a whole different edit. Continue while I do a little research on him. I know you don't use social media too heavy,
Starting point is 00:29:22 but in your active social media days, did you ever get clout for anything Like clown on office call a clown when I made the comment about Jeremy Lin's hair Oh the dreads. Yeah, what'd you say? Yeah reminder And people just they ran rapid with it. Oh, no the wigger the wigger Yeah, no, no, no,igger? No, I just said, like somebody telling his last name, Lin.
Starting point is 00:29:48 Like, I didn't mean nothing, but the fact that, no, I just found it hilarious that he had dreads. And when I spoke to him, after I spoke to him, and we laughed about it, I just think it's hilarious that the Asian guy with dreads. I just think it's the funniest thing in the world to me. And he agreed with me, but media and people ran with it.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Like, I'm a racist, nah, and all kind of. I'm like. They called you a racist? Oh, yeah. Oh, you already know. Oh, they still going at it. Oh, I just erased a dude on my page yesterday. I'm talking, like, let me just.
Starting point is 00:30:21 For saying that you thought it was weird that an Asian man wore dreads? Yeah. That makes you racist? I guess. racist i guess it's 2022 this was years ago this wouldn't happen now yeah this is when when he did it here's your last you can't write read what was before but it said who's winning this argument oh i didn't put that i didn't put that but point proven that you're asking again no no but i didn't put that I didn't put that but point proof that you're asking again But I didn't put that I was winning the argument So people are gonna come in and say who won the argument I won, right? Do you agree that I want so then you should be happy I'm posting it
Starting point is 00:30:54 I think you keep winning you get keep this winning you get more winning speaking of winning my most viral moments up were, of course, when I got my husband fired from the Dolphins, is what everybody says, when I intentionally got him fired because I was already trying to get him a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Dolphins offered him for one year, four million dollars, tried to force him to keep that contract. I was like, no, we don't want that. Let him go as a free agent. They were threatening him, saying no team will sign you because your wife has disrespected the quarterback. I was like, don't listen to him.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Get out of the contract. Tell them no thank you. We don't want it. Sign with the Bucs. Three years, $26 million. Well, some flex on them then. Is there still beef with the Dolphins? No, we squashed that.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Y'all good? He's in the alumni. Yeah, it was all business. It was a business moved by both of us we were both trying to hustle each other and i won again let him know got him out of the contract got him into a new one got the bag got out of there with his head still safe no injuries no issues all good well you know football dudes are janky as fuck so yes very get your bread while you can get it that That's why I had to get involved.
Starting point is 00:32:06 It's a nice shirt, Gil. It is nice. You didn't came on this bit with some questionable shit on from Adidas, but that's a nice shirt, though. He had on a jersey, a collared shirt jersey one day, and that wasn't... Was it soccer? Yeah, I don't know what it
Starting point is 00:32:24 was. If they make... It was gold and whatever't... Was it soccer? Yeah, I don't know what it was. This... If they make... It was gold and purple, whatever the color of the shit was. Yeah, that gold. Yeah, the gold, that gold. I wasn't too fond of that one. I would actually wear that shirt. Yeah, that's a nice...
Starting point is 00:32:33 A woman could wear that. Yeah, I just looked up. Yeah, that's a nice shirt, bro. You got the salmon on this side, the peach on the other side. Yeah, I like that. Purple, teal. I rock the hell out of that. That's nice.
Starting point is 00:32:43 I low-key think she's trying to put me in the LGBT community. Why? You feel me? Like a... She went down your color scheme? Yeah, there's like salmon, peach, purple, yellow, like the light yellow. Teal. Wait, hold on.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Teal? No. All the Pascal colors. Listen, you look good in a lot of men can't buy those colors. You look good in it. I'm over here questioning myself. I'm like here questioning myself. I'm like, wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:33:07 What kind of colors is this? I like men that can wear colors. You know, they're not afraid to wear nice colors. Okay, all right. You know, I got to, okay, all right. Oh, God. He's so childish. I'm just over here checking, like, one more color and I'm part of the community.
Starting point is 00:33:20 Okay, I get it. So this is a basketball show. It is the off season. We do have a little basketball to talk about. I know people in the chat are whining, but the reason I said is because I was buying some shorts, right? And it was black but then had the the colors so I'm going up there say, hey, you know, that's uh That comes from the rainbow. Yeah, it comes from the section Was it in Target? I think these are my shorts not this is a leader store. Oh, was it in Target? I was like, these are nice shorts. Nah, this is a Zita store. Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:48 But it was the LGBT community section. You didn't even know this. No, I just seen the shorts, and I was like, oh, this is nice-ass shorts right there. Yeah, I'm gonna wear it. And I had to look like, wait, what colors make it, like, is there like a certain color pattern? It's a rainbow. It's a rainbow. So,
Starting point is 00:34:03 okay, so all the colors that's in the rainbow, if it's all on one shirt. If it's a rainbow. No. So, okay, so all the colors that's in the rainbow, if it's all on one shirt. If it's a rainbow of colors, there's seven I believe in a row, then that's probably the answer. Well, then how about if it's a Care Bear? Care Bears? I love Care Bears. No, that was just the grumpy one that had the clouds right here Okay, that was back in the day before LG that they claimed the rainbow. They have the radio
Starting point is 00:34:30 You're gonna get us packed up by multiple people. No, no It's all this question long as it's not the full rainbow, you know, it's a couple colors of this. I'll be good Did you buy it? Nope. You do you should bought the shorts. I was trying Where would you be but let's get this movie we talked about lamar odom uh watching team us let's talk a little bit about team usa remained undefeated in their exhibition games in preparation for the world cup you said they were going to win gold but you said the team wasn't up to a par but they wouldn't go why do you say that what what is why do you keep saying that just stop saying it's not because they're d they not. Everybody's a D though, right? You said F.
Starting point is 00:35:07 No, I said F. You said F. Can we bump them up to a C minor? No. Gil. No summer school. Gil, what other teams have their A and B squads there? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:35:15 What other countries? No, I'm saying if we're going to grade the team by all the talent we have in the NBA, this is considered an F. No. This is the team that we put together for FIBA. No, I know what we put. They're an A. Actually? They're an F. No, this is the team that we put together for FIBA. They're an A. Actually? They're an A.
Starting point is 00:35:30 They're undefeated. They're going to win the gold. I'm just saying as individual talents. I get his point. What I'm saying is no other country has their A teams either. Everybody has their reserves. They're missing their stars.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Yeah, the stars. That's what I. Well, they're missing their stars. Yeah, the stars. That's what I'm saying. They're missing their number one guy. We're missing... Yeah, they're missing just their number one guy. They're missing their number... Everybody else playing. But we don't need any.
Starting point is 00:35:54 They're missing their one guy. We're the USA. We don't need any of those. That's why we're still an A squad because these are still some really good NBA players and we're still undefeated and we're probably going to win it. We're A teams.
Starting point is 00:36:04 I wouldn't go far. Against them, I'm just saying, why don't we all call them F? I wouldn't go that far. still some really good NBA players and we're still undefeated and we're probably going to win it. We're eight against them. I wouldn't go far. I'm just saying why don't we all like call them F. I wouldn't go that far. I wouldn't go that far. Nobody wants to play. Your F is a squad that's not going to medal. Yes. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:36:17 That's not true. F compared to what we have in United States. We know that. We're grading on a curve. I'm grading on what we got. Like if I had to pick my best two point guards, right, you're talking about, okay, you know, Steph and then who?
Starting point is 00:36:31 Kyrie? Alright, that's A. Then B is who? Dame and who? C? So by the time we get the F, nigga, that's what we got. Right there. Right? And we do that in every position. That's what we got on USA. We do not have the A, B, C, or D.
Starting point is 00:36:47 But we know that. Okay, that's all I was saying. F, Gil. He doesn't say you're mean. I'm just being factual. You're mean. But if we take every position and say, hey, grade everyone on their ranking compared to the position they put. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:37:03 He's right. There's only two people that are like, you got Ant-, who would be, like, probably a B in his position. Thank you. Right? Then you have Jared Jack, who would probably be a B in his position. Everybody else, right? Well, let's talk about the B, Ant-Man. Team USA had a close call against Germany this weekend.
Starting point is 00:37:19 They were trailing in the fourth quarter. Anthony Edwards put the squad on his back, dropped 34 points in the game, making plays on both sides of the floor. So after the game, Steve Kerr has some high praise for Ant-Man, saying he's unquestionably the guy, you can see it, you can see he knows it, but now the team knows it, and I think the fans see it. He genuinely believes he's the best player in the gym every single night, and he's such a dynamic young player, I think he's taking the lead.
Starting point is 00:37:42 So we've seen the Ant-Man, MJ memes, and those comparisons aren't as far-fetched as people might think. Let's see. One of my favorites. They really do look related a little bit. Like, they kind of do. They should have gave them a low cut. So this offseason,
Starting point is 00:37:58 Ant just signed a $260 million deal if he makes an All-NBA team. It was a max extension. So looking at Ant and coming in this league now year four, what's Anthony Edwards stealing for you just in terms of what he can do in his career? I mean, it's high. I mean, you know, we knew how good
Starting point is 00:38:13 he was. I mean, the fact that he was coming off the bench lets y'all know what type of bullshit it was on. But no, no, we can see- And he indeed is, guy. I'm not going to say- We can see how dominant he was just from when he came into the league and he's answering
Starting point is 00:38:31 questions and the way he talk. You can say he had that kind of confidence. Yeah. I think he play on both sides of the ball. He compete. You know what I'm saying? He a real live competitor and he Like you say like once you got that confidence and you believe like as much as he yeah and the way he approaches it. Yeah Well confidence been there. I mean he said he's the best at everything
Starting point is 00:39:01 Anyone from day one A1 from day one, but you what I'm talking about? Yeah. The A1 from day one. But, you know, when you look at Anthony Edwards, what do you think his ceiling could be? Can he get to that? I don't want to say Jordan level. I don't want people packing us up being disrespectful. I hate doing that, too. It's a Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Because that puts a lot of pressure, unnecessary pressure to be what people call the goat. Yeah. But I think that his ceiling is high simply because he doesn't really have any weaknesses in his game. You know, he's still young. There's still so much room to grow in, even though he's still great. Like, I just feel like he's going to really take the league by storm, hopefully. You know, he comes, there's always a little drama behind him. But, yeah, he's probably got to get out of Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Probably got to get out of Minnesota. Yeah. Unless they build around him. You never know I don't people won't want to go there, but you never know. I mean you guys play with Draft Yeah, that's the only way it's gonna happen. Mm-hmm. That's the way it should happen It should but I'm just saying how long is the but I'm like here for right? Yeah All right. I get get loyalty I get it
Starting point is 00:40:06 and teams draft at you you want to take them here and do those things, but if you was here for a certain while and Shit, I ain't getting no younger You got to start Things wrong with Minnesota though. It's part of nobody. Nobody wants to go there. Nobody going to going to Minnesota. Minnesota, Michigan, Memphis. Not rocking with them? What does Cleveland fit? What about Cleveland, Detroit?
Starting point is 00:40:31 What do they all fit as far as Minnesota? That's part of Michigan. Then you go ahead and go on the 4th M, Milwaukee. I'm saying as far as free agents. People are not free agents unless they just not signed to those places. Just be honest.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Historically, unless you re-sign your own star and drafting another guy and you make a trade for Drew Holiday because you got a star and another guy already. Drew likes you. I can fit into that, so I don't mind going to Milwaukee. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:11 But a free agent not picking to go to Minnesota. They're just not. They haven't. You have to overpay. You know what I'm saying? They haven't. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:41:21 What free agent in history has picked? Guy that was up for something has picked Minnesota. True. Remember we had Thomas Bryant on the show, and he said that was their toughest series. So just hearing that and knowing that they aren't even complete, they don't even have a good, solid roster,
Starting point is 00:41:40 they get one more player in there, a free agent might see that as an opportunity to go steal a chip. Go for it. You got two. Listen, you got to play. That shit ain't winning. First of all, they got to pay them. And then you got, as we speak right now, Minnesota, they ain't winning shit.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Well, yeah. Well, yeah. Now, with them two dudes, they got to stand each other up. Stand each other up. So it's just what it is to me. You know what I'm saying? I like Anthony Ellis a lot. I like watching him play.
Starting point is 00:42:05 He's been on a bad team in a bad city, but I like him. You know what I'm saying? I like Anthony Ellis a lot. I like watching him play. He's been on a bad team in a bad city, but I like him. You know what I'm saying? Well, I got to give him a shout out, too. I like him. I did something very thirsty and ghetto. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I was in New York. I had never seen a game at Madison Square Garden, and they were playing against them.
Starting point is 00:42:21 And I was like, I wanted tickets. The game was sold out. I went in his DMs, and I asked him if I could like, I wanted tickets. The game was sold out. I went in his DMs and I asked him if I could get tickets to the game. I was like, I will pay you
Starting point is 00:42:30 for the tickets. I just can't. I know players get tickets, right? He gave me the tickets. He left them at Will Call. And I thought that was, I was like,
Starting point is 00:42:37 can I give you the money? He was like, no, I don't need no money for it. Appreciate you. And I went to the game and I had a time. First time ever
Starting point is 00:42:43 in Madison. Rudy Gobert? No, Anthony Evans. Oh, I didn't see it to the game and I had a time first time ever in Mass Cooper no Anthony no that's not thirsty that's just that's to do I looked on the roster and I was like damn I know he you know I'm thinking of myself like I'm just gonna ask somebody and I asked him and he left the ticket I thought I going to ask somebody. And I asked him. And he left the tickets. At first I was scared. I was just like, he's probably going to leave me the tickets. But he did.
Starting point is 00:43:09 You should have hit him back like, I'm at courtside. So, with this. I didn't even care what his seats were. They were still pretty. They were pieces of seats. So, did he. I'm going to come back to you in a second. So, did he.
Starting point is 00:43:19 So, with this current USA team of. What are y'all laughing at? Of the players that's on the roster now who you think they gonna bring back for the for the and the errors beyond that about JJ who the defensive player here he is so oh oh Oh, maybe. He is so rude. There's two players that might make the team. We got to see these people. I didn't hear what she said.
Starting point is 00:43:53 So did he leave you players' passes in the tickets? No. Oh, no pass. Okay. He ain't treated like to work. What? Leave the tickets, no passes. What would I need passes for? Oh, no, it was because we're players Me and my homegirl went in You talk to players that's why he had to come back to you, okay
Starting point is 00:44:30 So what do you do with the player pad what it would see some other like me I mean, I mean we want to see you after yeah, I'm saying you wait in the family section Yeah, but you know if we already have some I was the only reason I know that is because I saw other people's family I knew like they were cheering like they had on certain jury's house. Oh, I'm in the family section, but no there was no There was no link up there was no hey you want to come no it was it was not we don't say that on the ground That was my first Every ticket at Madison Square Garden. Are we staying tonight? Every ticket at Madison Square Garden is like a thousand entry level. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:45:09 I'm just saying. Anything you get in there. And I offered to pay. I was like, I have money for my ticket. It's just sold out. And he was like, no, I'll get it. But he probably rejected that. We get that all the time. But nigga, the one thing.
Starting point is 00:45:20 They offer money. They offer money. One thing for sure. Two things for sure. He wasn't going to let you pay for the tickets, for one. That's one. You know what I'm saying? For two, I don't know his situation.
Starting point is 00:45:29 I don't know if you're in a relationship or not. Me either. I'm not going to speculate here. This is all speculation. I'm going to speculate that he's not in a relationship. This is my speculation. You asked for tickets. He scrolled.
Starting point is 00:45:45 Shit, yeah. Yeah, to the Tuesday. Okay. Leave it to me. He was just being a good young human being. We're in New York, too. New York. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:56 She was trying to come to the game. She asked for two. She got a friend. Oh, yeah, for sure. He just wanted more Timberwolves fans in the building. I'm 21, 22 years old. I'm thinking, yeah, for sure. He just wanted more Timberwolves fans in the building. 21, 22 years old? I'm thinking 22-year-old Kenyon.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Yeah. Well, he was very respectful. Not 45, Mary. I'm thinking 22. He just wanted more Timberwolves fans in the building. So what you doing later on? Absolutely. Because I said I wanted to buy the tickets, and he said, no, thanks. My family's not coming to the game, so I had tickets anyway that I wasn't using. And I said, well, thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:46:28 He's just a fine young gentleman looking out. You know how many we get on the road, right? Yeah. How many did you get on the road? Two. Two. Well, he gave them to me. So for him to give you them two.
Starting point is 00:46:42 In New York? In New York. Shit. He said his family wasn't going to the games. So I was like, oh, OK. Where you from? You from Atlanta? Atlanta, Georgia.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Shit. If we was in Atlanta, he said his family ain't going. OK, cool. That man in New York. That man looks, scroll, action. Two. Even if he had, trust had trust what he said he probably had
Starting point is 00:47:06 eight people at the game hey somebody got two hey anybody got two somebody got somebody then you go to
Starting point is 00:47:15 the mother hey man I need two action I need two put in the family I just wanted to say thank you it was very nice
Starting point is 00:47:22 a gentleman doing gentleman that was very nice hey man go a Gentleman doing gentlemen very nice. Go ahead. I may go access such a place I mean you got sent a ball boy to the home team locker room go ask them I mean you got to do you got to go ahead cuz you got a home one of the team. Yeah Maybe I don't know. He told me his family wasn't cool for the money. Just said no I have two extra. My family's not here, so you can have it. We get what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:47:49 We understand what was relayed to you. But we're giving you the back story. This is how we work. This is how we work. We got action. That was no action. A fine young gentleman. There was no action.
Starting point is 00:48:03 He didn't ask to meet up with me. No, no, no. I'll give you the tickets you tell you asked me what I'm doing after also. Yeah Can't I can't I can't seem thirsty I do mine. Yeah a fire young gentleman Just looking out trying to get some more terrible offense report We can't get nobody on this couch You guys are wild here so good you say and let me keep this thing try to get it back on track I get a call from underdog again Y'all reckless reckless nature. Oh my God. You're saying answer only one. I'm going to read off
Starting point is 00:48:47 the roster to you. Paolo Banchero, Mikael Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Halliburton, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingrams, Jaren Jackson Jr., Cam Johnson, Walker Kessler, Bobby Portis, Austin Reed. Can you just throw Bobby Portis on there so we don't get fucked up if we run... Paolo. Bobby Portis don't even start on his team. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:49:03 You have to see him somewhere. Paolo maybe. Paolo. Paolo maybe. I like him. Paolo could be there. Yes, don't even start on his teeth. It doesn't matter, Gil. You'll have to see him somewhere. Paulo, maybe. Paulo. Paulo, maybe. I like him. Paulo could be there. Yes, absolutely. Austin Reed, but I know you guys are feeling it.
Starting point is 00:49:10 Yeah, you will. I'm not. I'm not. Come on. I think he's talented. We got about three. Okay. Three.
Starting point is 00:49:15 We got three right now. You're being respectful. Good. Three. Tyrese Halliburton, does he deserve some love? Okay. Potentially. Him?
Starting point is 00:49:22 Look at Gil. I'm saying, at that position, at what he do, at his skill set, what he do? He'll pass for his guy. Two years from now, maybe. Two years. He'll be playing awesome. He'll be playing great. Pass for his guy, right?
Starting point is 00:49:33 He get off the ball. He's solid. He makes shots when he's like. 3.5. We got 3.5. Okay. Two years from now? Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:39 Okay. Because other guys, other big time point guards, name-wise, might not want to play. You know what I'm saying? So he's definitely a guy that's like, no, because his skill said, what do you do? You know what I'm saying? So guess what I need you to do? We've been working together for a long time now. You got to start lying, all right?
Starting point is 00:49:58 Because these dudes watch the show. We're trying to get them on. Three points. Then after we get them on, you can say whatever you feel. No, no, no, but I'm just being honest. You want me to lie to you? That's got to lie. That's what your parents are for. them on three point after we get them on that's what your parents are for your friends so this is the thing they should know but this is the thing no see this is the end with this and we all been critiqued you know I'm saying you've been critiqued mm-hmm yeah people had
Starting point is 00:50:23 shit to talk I had people talk shit about me like I'm saying? He's been critiqued. Mm-hmm. Yeah. People have shit to talk. I have people talk shit about me. Like, I don't... Yeah. It's whether it get to you or not. Yeah. If you let it get to you... But we are... We have a show.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Yeah. There's a way to say it. Your facial expression. When he says certain things, you're like... Yeah. The look. So I get it. When I go home, my wife be like,
Starting point is 00:50:42 you can't say... Why you do that? Why you say that? Okay. Let's just... Okay. All right. So look. Let me just be honest with you. Yeah. Please I get it when I go home. My wife be like, you can't say that. Why you do that? Why you say that? Okay, all right. So look, let me just be honest with you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:48 Please be honest. I don't even start from my NBA team, but I think I can represent America when it counts. Really? That's the American dream. Is that what's in my brain? That's the American dream. It's only because everybody doesn't want to play.
Starting point is 00:51:00 No, that's the cap. That's the lie right there. You think guys want to play? Everybody wants to play. But just not World Cup teams. No, everybody wants to play. It's just that are you inviting these guys for a try? So let me give you an example. What he's talking about.
Starting point is 00:51:16 In 03, the 03 team we took to Puerto Rico to qualify for the Olympics in 04. Look the team up. Team that went to Puerto Rico. qualify for the Olympics in 04. Look the team up. Team that went to Puerto Rico. Look the team up. Doing it right now. That was at-
Starting point is 00:51:28 The 03 team that went to Puerto Rico, look it up. Tell me, and please read those names. Oh God. No, listen at this, Ross. Prove a point. Was this- FIBO. The Turn Money America squad?
Starting point is 00:51:44 Yeah. Hold on, let me, let me. I'm not that savvy on the internet. Was this the Tournament of the Americans squad? Yes. Hold on. Let me, I'm not that savvy on the internet. Then we all know what happened in 04 with the Olympics, right? We all know what happened. So this is the squad you were on, right? Yes. Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, Tracy McGrady, Jermaine O'Neal, Vince Carter, Nick Hollison,
Starting point is 00:52:02 Mike Bibby, Kanya Martin, Ray Allen, Tim Duncan, Elton Brand, Richard Jefferson. That team don't go to the Olympics? Ooh, that's a squad. Yes. That team don't go... They don't take... So that's the team that should've went to the Olympics?
Starting point is 00:52:15 Yes. They didn't? No. They took Braun, Melo, and then what they'd go over there and do? Shit the bed. I mean, Nick Collison shouldn't be in there, but other than that, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:26 Just imagine, though. You know what I'm saying? We got to be great. They changed the team from the 0-4 team to the 0-4 team, too. They took J-Kid. Did RJ go? J-Kid, Richard Jefferson. Let me pull it up.
Starting point is 00:52:42 So that roster for the Olympic team was Allen Iverson, Stephon Maher, Barry Dwyane Wade, Carlos Boozer, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Emeka Okafor, Sean Marion, Amari Stoudemire, Tim Duncan, Lamar Odom, Richard Jefferson. Man, so they just changed the whole team up. That previous team, we beat the hell out of that team. Out of Puerto Rico? You know what I'm saying? We matched them two teams up.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Oh, the 2003 team versus the 2014? We cooking them. So why'd they team versus the 2014? We cooking. So why'd they do that? I have no idea. They didn't even invite me. I just came off All-Star. I just came off All-Star, signed my match deal, and I don't even get... I play it on...
Starting point is 00:53:14 And don't even get to come back. No invite, no call? Nothing. Nothing. Damn. Sick. What I hate about it all is you're saying that you don't fit. How the fuck do you know what I do? In some scenarios.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Yeah. Like, I'm supposed to shoot 30 shots on this team. Yeah. So you're taking what I do on this team and you're trying to apply it to that. I know I can't shoot 30 shots. I got LeBron, James, DeWayne, Wade, Carmelo, Anthony on the motherfucking team. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:49 But you're already prejudging what you want. Then what the fuck is there a tryout for? Yeah. Fuck tryout. Just say, this is the team I want, and get it over with. Don't have motherfuckers come out there changing their games to fit America, and then you say, aw, we don't like your... No, the fuck you don't like my style. You didn need to give it a try
Starting point is 00:54:05 I just made all-star team average 16 and a half points Yeah, that's so that was all-star every 16 a point. How'd you feel about that? Did you did you feel away? Yeah, yeah, I felt the way like want to go to the fucking Olympics I didn't play it on every other you listen to thing in college. I played on the college world university. We went to Spain I played on the USA team. We went to Spain. I played on the USA team. We went to the Goodwill Games in Australia. I play on this team to qualify to go to the Olympics. And to go to the fucking Olympics, I don't fucking get to go.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Did it tickle your belly when they lost? You know what I'm saying? Did it tickle your belly? Yeah, I was like, what the fuck y'all get? Absolutely. I'm that guy. You mean political? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:41 Stop playing political games. Stop playing political games. So there just no hit? There come a point where you're like, all right, y'all going to hit me or what's going on? Did you mean political? Yeah, stop playing political games. Stop playing political games. So, what's the thing? So, there just no hit... There come a point where you're like, all right, y'all going to hit me or what's going on or you just kind of wait... Did you reach out?
Starting point is 00:54:49 No, no, I didn't reach out. Like, I had... I would have went if they would have... But I was worried about my contract and I'm saying... I didn't get an offer from Jersey. So, that was... I was free agent or something.
Starting point is 00:55:01 But still, I still would have went. It was out of my control. There was nothing I could do. My work was already done. You had the same phone number, same email. You didn't change. Everything was the same. Agents the same.
Starting point is 00:55:13 They reaching out. No, it just. Wow. Even with the trace on it, it's like, oh, he don't fit the style. How do you know? To get me to come to USA Basketball in 03, I just got married. I didn't even go on my honeymoon. Wow. I went to Puerto Rico. They
Starting point is 00:55:31 Wow, I'm fresh off of bachelor party lit met wed night Next day get a phone call This car my long mom Passed away and asked me to come right I go down there Have a bit they didn't drug test me and then I'll come. Right? I go down there, have a bit, they didn't drug test me or nothing. I come out. He's like, thank God. But I go down there,
Starting point is 00:55:51 I've been working out all day, I go down there and do my thing. I'm a hooper. I show up. A hooper, yeah, that's what I do. You can always have a honeymoon. Took her with me, that was my honeymoon. Watch me play. It was a free honeymoon. Puerto Rico, very nice saying but territory don't play in every other USA situation when it's time for the show
Starting point is 00:56:12 Hmm. Yeah, I felt the way and I told you man. It's so political like they just try like you patent It's like you patent stats for people you like Wait a minute. I mean, yes, and what shoot did you have a shoe deal? I? Was then I was with year four, I was with Reebok. That might be what. That might be. I was with Reebok. We're going to see, Coach K, next year at Summer League.
Starting point is 00:56:35 Let's run up on it. This is the year. Let's run up on it. We've seen him creeping through the- He probably got mafia ties. I ain't stupid. Fuck the moolies, the big moolies. Talk my shit from my home.
Starting point is 00:56:48 This is Larry Brown, Pop, Oliver Purnell. Oh, wow. You got the squad. They just left you hanging. That fucked up. You did the hard part, and then they let the young bucks come in and not get the glory that's when so I it was my My first time around Tracy's since we had to fight So we I had to walk in and be like a pot like my bad Then we had to squash the shit did before we played first game. Did you mean it though?
Starting point is 00:57:20 Yeah, no, it was a horrible situation. It was I understood why he felt the way you know I'm saying Cuz I had already what had a couple flavors and a fight up to that point and I found him hard and he felt away I got the swinging What happened then also before the game before we play our first game I had Yeah, yeah team. I got no fight to up in Puerto Rico at some point. We was about to What happened then? So before the game, before we played our first game, I had to... Yeah. T-Mac got into a fight too, I think Puerto Rico at some point. We was about to. With Puerto Rico?
Starting point is 00:57:52 Yeah, all of Puerto Rico. Yeah, we would have been... He was like, I'm clearing here. They probably would have rushed us in that motherfucker. We got into an Argentina over there. Yeah, we was just talking shit. That shit was rowdy. we was having blasts well Larry Brown boy come on Allen really Chuck really Allen you just gonna
Starting point is 00:58:16 turn to let's talk a little bit about about Anthony Edwards though so he's averaged 20 a game since he came in the league, coming off his best numbers last year, I think like 24 a game. But just for you guys, just in terms of being in the league, when did the game start becoming easier for you as players? Like what season? I mean, my rookie season, like after I studied and sat there for a while, before I really got to play, it was like an untouchable league.
Starting point is 00:58:53 I didn't belong. Instead of glorifying everybody's talent, I started looking for flaws and weaknesses on how I can play this game. And once I realized my strengths compared to everyone else, it became easy at that point. And from there, it's just getting the reps, understanding, getting the strength, learning the tricks. Like, the only thing that's different between, you know, like a second, third-year player from a vet
Starting point is 00:59:23 is all the tricks that that vet knows Right. So it's like once you start dialing in real eyes and Like your go-to moves get to your spots fuck all the dancing because people are too smart on defensive end Once you get that part down then it becomes an easy game Okay, how about yourself year two year two makes sense Yeah, I had Jakey and Okay, how about yourself? Year two. Year two makes sense? Yeah, I had J-Kid and... Oh. That was easy.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Oh, yeah, no, but I realized, like, playing certain guys and playing in certain situations, if you're not more athletic than me, stronger than me, and you're not going to play harder than me, then I win. You know what I'm saying? And I realized that. I realized it my rookie year a little bit, but then me playing with J. Kidd and the situations
Starting point is 01:00:18 he put me in and the way we were playing and all that, like year two, I... Yeah. Then year three, it was like oh yeah we started sweeping people in the playoffs you know I'm saying like year three it was it was over you know I'm saying so for and for year four we should expect to see even a bigger leap like even even his playoffs against Denver he averaged 31 yeah he was yeah it was good so yeah yeah no he probably had the but he had the biggest average against them in the playoffs. Yeah, no. He a problem.
Starting point is 01:00:47 He's probably like Thomas Bryant said that. He just didn't do it. He a big guard. He a big guard. If you put something, they run certain things from him. He fearless. He got the dog. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:56 He wanted it. You know what I'm saying? He competitive at the rim. He shoot it well. I'm pretty sure he's worked on that shot even more than some because I mean it's that's the way people starting to try to plan planning for the jump shot not to drive because he get downhill and he and they'll They coach him in a way where they don't force him to either three or lay up shit I'm saying shoot mid-range jump shot. So if that's in this game and he's able to do that I
Starting point is 01:01:24 Think it's I'm saying I got like the Tim he was able to do that, I think it's, I'm saying. It feels like the Timberwolves are ready to give him the keys. He's their best bet. I think it's his fucking team. It's definitely his team. He should have it. It's definitely his team. There's no question about it, what team it is.
Starting point is 01:01:38 Yeah. And you talked about just kind of learning tips and tricks as the years went on. What's the first trick or tip that you remember picking up from a veteran? Probably watching Gary Payton defend the post Right. He was on the right side. So he has his hand here and he used to dig his fingers into the players hip Right. So no matter how strong you know, so he's digging into the hip which makes you know like so if i if i'm pivoting with this foot and he's digging into this hip it makes this guy like do one of these travel every time so whenever i had like antoine walk post me i got it on this
Starting point is 01:02:17 side if we was on that side with his head double come over here and double but that was one of those like those little chicken wing Defensive players on there. That's my best defense right there in the post Yeah So you really see and the thing is you didn't have to do it that way like the way I used to do it I grabbed I put this hand on you on the baseline side and I do the same thing. Mm-hmm I just I'm saying oh you just grab just squeeze If I feel you know, you can feel somebody getting ready to say I didn't I didn't want you to try I could just feel when you get ready to make your move and if I'm squeezing sometimes somebody react they they doing this
Starting point is 01:02:52 Stop me from yeah And then when you get ready to spin or whatever move you get ready to make I feel it That's why guys do this shit on the baseline side and get spun off Bullshit. Fire. They think you didn't push them. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So now I go here, and I have this one here.
Starting point is 01:03:11 You know what I'm saying? Yeah. But some of the vet shit I learned earlier, who, like, I think Sherman Douglas, like, I think he the one that told me I like to pull a chair on people. Like, they're pulling the chair. Like, Sherman's smart as as hell like my rookie year. I'm saying I had him in Johnny Newman As rookie I had to old dude that been around all the tricks You know I'm saying without something like that, but yeah, not everyone like learning them little things. I'm saying help. I'm saying a nigga named Sherman. You know that's an old... Douglas.
Starting point is 01:03:48 I'm not running to a young nigga named Sherman, I don't think. You probably won't. That's like 33 or older. Sherman, Sherman, Sherman, Sherman. Sherman Club. But what's something like a tip or trick that they taught you off the court
Starting point is 01:04:00 that made your life easier as a professional? Nothing. Stop. Eric Dampier. That made your life easier as a professional nothing. No stop Eric Dampier He said he'll go in here go like couch shopping furniture shopping and he'll see like a like something he wants and If that's something he wants he'll wait till it goes on clearance And then he'll go by what if it's gone what they run out
Starting point is 01:04:32 You just you wait just wait. That's so well. I don't know and if I say my name that's from that That's so well. I just never like yeah, I like this road. Just to be in my room. I want you just by now You know when the clearance here to be $500 cheaper, but did you just make a Smart move hey, how you a rich yeah I mean I didn't listen I want this shit I won't shark time we wait six months for the whole house empty I'm just curious like you got vets you know stuff that they're telling y'all that damn it's actually very beneficial I know I curious, like you got vets, you know, stuff that they're telling y'all that damn, it's actually very beneficial. I just saw, like, not necessarily telling me something, but me just watching, like I said, like Johnny Newman carrying a briefcase around. Like, why is he got a briefcase? What you doing? He doing business. Like, he got business stuff with him.
Starting point is 01:05:22 He got his stuff out. He just, son. Jay knew what he was doing, man. He got real estate here. He doing this and doing that. He conducting real business. That's hard. That's hard.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Yeah, like, yeah, this is what I saw as a rookie. Like, I'm... Man, suitcase for the... Like, briefly, that real life, it was a leather joint, but it wasn't like, it was like a... But he had everywhere we went. He had other streams of income. Yeah. Smart.
Starting point is 01:05:49 Because he had been in the league, shit, I don't know what year Johnny Newman got drafted. And this is 2000, so J. New probably got drafted in like 86 or some shit. Yeesh. No, he had been around, you know what I'm saying? Like, him and Shashone got drafted in 88, I think. Like, so to me, like, it had been. Had some OGs. Yeah. been around you know I'm saying I am answer sure I'm gonna draft in 88 I think all right oh geez yeah I got drafted in 2000 they've been around for a while that was a last year but oh 506 I carry the suitcase but what it was just money in there though say to the game huh where does it close Where? The strip club or something? What is that? On the work? Jail!
Starting point is 01:06:28 Was it all one? Depends on where we was going. We were going to the strip club, all ones, all hundreds. Yeah, see I... Like what was your walk, like what was you walking around with? Exactly. That's crazy. How much money was you walking around with? Only enough to gamble on the plane. So what? How much?
Starting point is 01:06:45 A quarter million. You gambled a lot. A quarter million? No, no, no, no. I had a couple of team members that had $250 on them. Oh, my God. Did they have security? $250.
Starting point is 01:06:55 In a bag. That locker room shit was $1,100. Walking around with $250. And it's hard to play a bourree with somebody like that. Yeah, nah, we didn't. If they're taking five, they're going't they taking five and they're gonna take five. Yeah, we was on credit It was on credit was I'll use and shit. We was in that sit out I'd have teammates that had big pockets like that like Antoine didn't he didn't gamble so he didn't yeah
Starting point is 01:07:17 So yeah after a while you had to show you had a certain amount to play I think we had like yeah, so yeah like 10 grand in order to play Because that I owe you shit because people wouldn't play it We're paying like they just shot him. It was trying to play the dead off. No, you gotta pay me Oh, no, no, we yeah, you're gonna be oh, no, you had to pay before you yeah before the next right now That's what we started and they just want pants. So now you got to prove you got 10 grand order getting the game Oh, they else $25
Starting point is 01:07:43 We started somebody started at... Somebody started at a hundred. Oh, no. We ain't had that... Earl Boykins, Jared Jeffries, the shot... Earl was playing with us. I know Earl played, but that's it. Earl was playing with us.
Starting point is 01:07:56 How did Boo Ray become the game of choice? I don't know. Why not? He was playing Tom. We started off at Tom. Started off at Tom. When I got into Tom. We used to play Tom. Nigga off at Tonk. Started off at Tonk. When I got there, it was Tonk. We used to play Tonk.
Starting point is 01:08:07 Nigga Rod Thorne used to get on the plane before. His nigga said everything because he sat in the first seat on the bus. Rod Thorne used to play cards with us. He got his Diet Coke already on the plane. We sit down and laid the blanket out on the table. Got the cards ready, all that. So I can count on one hand how many times, like, how many team flights I actually do we didn't play cards 15 years
Starting point is 01:08:29 Right we play cards like a lot that Batman impact I'm saying beret but I don't know why I became the choice like always He's curious. Just like this turn. I didn't like guts like guys play guts. I hate it It's the dumbest game ever to me. Like, you get, like, it's poker-based, so you're trying to get, like, a pair, three of a kind, flush. But you look at your hand, everybody ante up, and you hold your cards up and say, one, two, three, drop.
Starting point is 01:08:59 And if you don't drop your cards, that means you in. Okay. So if you drop them, then you're out. You just get out of it at the beginning. Okay. Yeah, but then you look and then everybody see who got the best hand. So you don't get extra cards? It's whatever you get dropped out?
Starting point is 01:09:11 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I don't know. That's not a game. I don't like that. Because to me, there ain't no thinking to it. Yeah. You can't actually strategize against people. You can't.
Starting point is 01:09:20 It's like then you get caught holding. Oh, you in. If you hesitate to drop your card, you're thinking about it. One, they drop you. Then you drop. hold are you in like as you if you hesitate to drop it all you thinking about you Wanting a dry you I think you drop now you end up Man, and there's NASA argument in that park radio Fucking six thousand now you I'm not finna match the pot. They could if I get them down like NASA argument on the plane But a lot of beef started on those team Guts to see if you got the best team.
Starting point is 01:09:46 I get it. I get it. Guts is a TV show on Nickelodeon for a lot of us from that generation. That's what we... They tried to stop us from drinking on the team plan. How they do that? They tried to. I said they tried to.
Starting point is 01:10:00 Oh. I'm a grown ass man. I got kids at home. Y'all tell me I can play for y'all, but I can't have a drink after I'm a grown-ass man. I got kids at home. Y'all tell me I can play for y'all, but I can't have a drink after I'm done. But y'all can drink wine, red wine, on the front of the plane, but I can't have a beverage?
Starting point is 01:10:12 Right. Try me. We can't serve y'all. You ain't got to serve me. I serve my damn self. I ain't playing with y'all. But no, yeah. I ain't playing with y'all. I ain't playing with y'all.
Starting point is 01:10:26 In our team, there's nobody ever come to blows. There's been a few heated. Is that why they stopped the drinking? They thought people would get drunk and get drunk? We get loud. Music playing. Some people trying to sleep. Fuck your nap. Fuck your nap.
Starting point is 01:10:41 Fuck your nap. You want a nap, by some earplugs noise Fucking sleep mask So I made so of course like one situation I had I booed one hand, I got booed for like 33. 100? Thousand? Thousand, thousand. Woo!
Starting point is 01:11:10 Right? The hand before, some nigga, like not a hand nigga get out and said, I don't want y'all to laugh at me if I get booed. I get booed, this nigga laugh. Oh, you wanted to fight. Boy! Man, listen. boo this nigga laugh oh you want to fight boy man listen i'm listen you go sit your ass in the back of the plane and if i hear you say one word i'm gonna whoop your ass on here oh my and you can't
Starting point is 01:11:35 play with us no more for the rest of the year i don't want to laugh at me if I get booed and I get booed and you sneak You know somebody hand bad when he asked for five right and he get it and then mother start laughing he's what You got no books in. What's funny? You start looking around trying to figure out how to get out of this head. Nah, you can't. Nah, man. Boy, you go in the back of this bitch and you say one word. They're going to have to land this bitch. Listen, I'm telling you, wherever we are, they're going to have to land this motherfucker. I'm a tennis player with me and you.
Starting point is 01:12:22 Boy, we're playing for real money. That's funny. So, 33 guy I said the most we ever the most was probably like in one hand probably 11 grand shit shit We were playing like them Cleveland games and the man that we weren't playing him game. Oh, you want to play the game? We weren't playing issues now. I wouldn't play't playing the LeBron games? We weren't playing them games. Now, I wouldn't have played cards if them kind of games we was going to be starting at 500. Nigga, starting at 500. So there's only, by the time we land, we have five grand a hand or something. Like, we're not doing that, dog. We start at 100.
Starting point is 01:12:57 LeBron put the pressure on people. He started with 500. 500. 500 a hand. 500 a hand. That's not fair. That's probably the most expensive. And imagine if it's six guys guys the marriage you got six guys in
Starting point is 01:13:08 That because you can play up to six guys. Imagine you 500 and six guys six green Messy somebody get booed first hand first hand first hand you get booed. So it just keeps rolling Yeah, when you if nobody wins the pot everybody any everybody any up plus whoever got booed They got somebody standing get booed just said and get booed. Just have the pot, $6,000. Just have us four playing. All four of us staying. Mm-hmm. Right?
Starting point is 01:13:31 Two books, two books, one book, no books. Mm-hmm. Each one of y'all got to put up $500. I got to put up the two grand. Whatever's in there. I got to put up the two grand. Mm-hmm. Right?
Starting point is 01:13:43 Oh, crazy. Mm-hmm. So now it's $2,000, $4,000. So now it's... $55,000. $55,000. In the pot right now. That's just off the jump. $55,000.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Now whoever got booed... And we play again, right? Yeah. And I just say, it repeat. Or this time, he get three books. Yeah. Get one. You don't get none. You don't get none.
Starting point is 01:14:06 I don't get none. We both got it. We got it. We put $5,500 in. Now it's $11,000. Plus his $500. Plus his $500. It's $12,000 in the pot right now.
Starting point is 01:14:17 Yeah. We want two hands. Yeah. Wheel's just going up. Because we started playing on the ground? We ain't letting the plane get off the ground. We playing as the plane taking off. Everybody hold your shit. Hold your shit. Yeah I know the dealer with like I Cuz you know if the dealer if you miss do if you miss they'll master pot master pot some other start turning on the air
Starting point is 01:14:40 Like a minute. Yeah, Amy that the other side so when he flicks it, that wind blow it. It's all kind of shit. This is the most wild shit. We try to get you to misdeal. That's our thing. I play with guys, listen man, like we'll ask, we'll make you misdeal. You do some BS to them, they're going to make you misdeal. They might not get you back right away.
Starting point is 01:15:03 It might be seven, nine, eight, nine, ten hands later. Uh-huh. Look at his hand. Keep four and ask for three. Miss deal. Oh, no. No, I ask for such and such. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Oh, yes. Oh, it's going to be cheap. No, nigga, you said give me two. No. Yeah. Oh, my God. Now you got it. Yeah. Now it's BS in the game. Now you got give me two. Nah. Yeah. Oh, my God. Now you got it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:25 Now it's BS in the game. Now you got to start watching the cards. Oh, yeah. Nah. Oh, listen, man. Y'all are nice. Yeah. Nah, that's why.
Starting point is 01:15:35 Nigga, Oak slapped Tar on the head. Let's tell you when to go pan. She wants this now. I'm going to slap you every time I see you. I ain't panning you. Oh, here you go. Right after the game. What? 65? Oh, you going to slap you every time I see you. I ain't paying you. Oh, here you go. Right after the game. What?
Starting point is 01:15:47 65? Oh, you're going to pay me, Jack. So, speaking of beef, Gil, it looks like you got a burgeoning beef on your hands with another NBA legend, Robert Ory. Wait, you said legend. Seven rings. Oh, my God. See, that's what I'm saying. You're so disrespectful.
Starting point is 01:16:04 I was about to defend you in this whole shit by the cave Legend I'm thinking okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah Bob. You got a name. No, no, you're gonna write your big job Bob just saying the ex NBA player No, cuz I heard his comments and I'm trying to figure out we are squashing we're trying to hear black go black box But let's go ahead play the video so we can hear what Big Shot Bob had to say. Gilbert didn't like the roster. He said,
Starting point is 01:16:28 quote, you see what Steve Kerr got? A sorry ass group. Some of them probably don't even start for their own team. My wife brought me, she put this on my radar.
Starting point is 01:16:39 She brought this to my attention because he also said something about me this week. And you go through these periods where I think guys are just pissed off at the world for whatever it may be and i think gilbert at this point is just trying to get you know clicks and my my wife wanted me to respond to him what he said about what did he say about you you know you know when he came out and he was talking about whose career we talked about his who career would you rather have oh yeah
Starting point is 01:17:02 it's hard to mind and he went on to say i didn't even read it i told my wife i didn't want to hear it because you know i don't argue with idiots because you know the person on the outside don't know who he is so i um i just i don't want to hear it she's like he said this you should respond i'm like i give a two what he said about me but it says something that i was basically a guy who just you know, wrote coattails of every team. I was on to my shit So before we get this started, I have no people Robert or I'm doing the big shot by podcast I'm rolling with Robert or but I will say he said he wasn't gonna respond I seen a big-ass topic bar that whole video said Robert spots and Gilbert to read this
Starting point is 01:17:43 but give you watch that video. Choose your words wisely because... Now before we set it up. So he admitted that... He didn't read it. He didn't read the part. So what did you say? So what was he saying? No, I'm just saying why is he responding? If you didn't read it... He did read it, obviously.
Starting point is 01:17:59 It was nothing to read. It was a video. That's what I'm saying. But you always write a whole fucking novel when you post something. But I read. Okay. Oh, was it an IG post or was it... No, no, no. It was a video, but here's... That's what I'm saying. But you always write a whole fucking novel when you post something. But I read. Okay. Oh, was it an IG post or was it another video? No, no, no. It was the video when you asked me seven rings or 300 million. I said 300 million. Yeah. Right? I said he wasn't... So, basically, they had a whole fucking
Starting point is 01:18:15 discussion. Mm-hmm. On shit that I ain't even say. We have the video here. On shit I didn't... First of all, they started off this video by saying that Gilbert Arenas said that some of these guys don't even start. And then the white dude said, I don't think that's necessarily true. Right? Which means when you read the lineup, there shouldn't be not, you got one person to come off the bench.
Starting point is 01:18:44 Everybody else is supposed to be starters Robert already put up two Right, which he's stupid too because obviously he don't know the USA team because there's four Right, that's four people who don't start on a USA team. So necessarily not true means there should only be one So you're stupid already because you don't know the team. Bunch of jackass. I'm the idiot. But you don't know the roster. Four people on the USA team do not start.
Starting point is 01:19:10 So your statement right there was actually false. So I was right. Now you're having a fucking 30-minute discussion about some shit that you're wrong anyway. Then you got Bob over here. Not even Robert. Bob. Mr. Ory. Bob said he didn't even listen to it.
Starting point is 01:19:26 He ain't even watch it. Then why the fuck are you commenting? He did. But I didn't say nothing about you playing on somebody else's back. I said you wasn't a main guy to have main money like a Steph Curry. Let's run the clip so we can hear exactly what you said. I need to run it bad. James Harden
Starting point is 01:19:41 $300 million, no ring. Or would you take Robert Horry $5656 million, with six rings and seven. Which one do you take? I'm taking the $300 million. I think James is the winner. He's been to the finals. Do you take Robert Horry or do you take James? I said I take Robert Horry.
Starting point is 01:19:54 I'm the winner. My mentality is not money-based. It's not driven on that. I don't win. I'm upset. He had seven championships and he made $54 million, which clearly tells you he was never a main guy. Like Steph, his money matches his winning as the main player. Just because you won. Robert Orr is never gonna be like I won s***.
Starting point is 01:20:14 He's gonna say man, I was on teams that won. I made 54 million in my career. It may not be good to him, but for me to make 54 and to win House 300 million a loser. I changed my Balls about winning right? Yeah getting paid getting 300 million. That's winning So we got the clip as you point out you just are Robert or isn't the main guy. I think seven championships I don't think he was the mega on in that team. That's not a knock or slander. His whole rant had nothing to do with what I said. He said you were coattailing, chasing. He said that, but you didn't. He said it, so that means he's projecting. But that was the excerpt of the clip. As everybody
Starting point is 01:20:59 knows, we don't remember half the shit we say on the show after we wrap. Y'all probably talked for about 25, 30 minutes. You may have been en in rage at some point. No, I'm just pointing out that he was on the coattail of nobody He said that about himself. So that's his problem So that's so that's why it was relayed to him as like you said his wife's to him He should have watched he should have watched it. I'm saying, you know, there's Shit get lost in translation. That's why you shouldn't text Pick up the fucking phone and call. Or you listen to some shit or watch some shit yourself.
Starting point is 01:21:29 And come up with your own conclusion on what was said. You know what I'm saying? I just hate that when you attack somebody, you attack them on something that they actually are right on. Like I said that some of know, that some of them, some means more than two. Some of them don't start. I worded it correctly. I didn't say a couple.
Starting point is 01:21:52 A couple means two or more. Some, three, right? There's four. So I'm right, right? And the fact that, you know, you got a white guy trying to correct you, like he's about that work I can see why they only get 300 views
Starting point is 01:22:14 I'm not mad at big shot Rob. I'm mad at the co-host Okay, cuz the co-host that you're you got one job. What job is to get it it correct? Yeah, right you get to get it correct That's one job one job is to see what I said Understand what I said and then relay it properly. Yes and play the clip They got this they got the same access to how we just played give us Let me play it for you so you can see before you respond Yeah, you look perturbed right now little fired up But I just I don't shop Bob did say that that he was asked to come, I believe, on No Chill.
Starting point is 01:22:49 But we're going to make the offer to bring him on to Gil's Arena. No, I'm fine with Big Shot. Look, he got his own nickname. He gets his own nickname. You got your cool. You know what I mean? Big Shot Bob. But I was a Laker fan, so I, you know.
Starting point is 01:23:00 He said he has no beef with you either. He called you, what did he call you, an idiot? Mm-hmm. He don know go back and forth idiots Well, obviously I'm right you'd idiot right now and you shouldn't go back and forth with you Is all I'm saying and then he threw some shots in there. What do you say? He said I hope This is it. This is what I know, you know that little jack is some type of shit I do he said, you know, you know, I ain't got no beef beef with him Hope he wins the championship. You know I ain't playing no more Be wins you know I'm gonna take the high road here
Starting point is 01:23:37 Hope he wins the championship one day and get into the Hall of Fame like I all right, that's the kind of game we playing. Okay, Bob, I got it. Okay, all right. He's lit. That was cute. And then, you know, his co-host. He ain't going to win. He ain't going to make it to the Hall of Fame. Nigga, I know. You got to keep throwing it in my face.
Starting point is 01:23:56 That ain't the end all to be all, my nigga. Gil, you're rich, okay? We are in your basement right now. Your basement bigger than my house. I'm not rich. I live in an apartment building. We are in your basement right now your basement is bigger than my house I'm not rich I live in an apartment building we are in your rented studio I'm rented
Starting point is 01:24:09 barely making ends meet underdog fantasy gave all the bread to cam and may underdog gave I think Gary would disagree with you underdog gave all the bread to cam and may we do this shit pro bono
Starting point is 01:24:24 we do all this shit pro bono. We do all this shit for free. We do it for the love. To get our reps up. It's our love of content making. To get the reps up. I am also poor. Y'all said you dropped out of the crib this morning.
Starting point is 01:24:42 I had to get you a whistle. You know where I live now. If some shit go down. Actually, I don't. I was... You hit the Yeah, do something. You know where I live now, though, so I'm gonna have some shit go down. Actually, I don't. I was... You hit the horn, and oh shit. You were like this? And then I had to realize, oh, that's Josiah.
Starting point is 01:24:50 I'm not gonna tell people what kind of car you drive, but if you're in the San Fernando Valley area, it's very easy to know which car you're in, or somebody who's in the region. Yes. It has my name on it. That is stupid. Dummy. I know. There you go! I know. That is stupid. Dummy. I know.
Starting point is 01:25:05 There you go. I know. But let's squash the beef. Big shot, Bob. You want to come on the show. We would love to have you. I just want to know if he has a chance to turn in them seven rings for $300 million,
Starting point is 01:25:20 what would he do with it? That felt like a TV show right there. I don't know. I mean, I can only ask people who actually won rings, right? I mean, that's the only, I can't, you know. It's easy for me to say what I'll do. 356 is a big leap, though. But what we asked you was different, was different.
Starting point is 01:25:38 It was like, what, 20 million that you gave her? No, no, no, you said 50. When I give back 50 for a ring. You said 50 for one ring. Yeah, 50 for one ring. You still wouldn for one ring. Yeah, 50 for one ring. You still wouldn't do it, yeah. It was a question. I just asked.
Starting point is 01:25:48 I mean, why is that even a question? I just wanted to know. Why the fuck is that even a question? The argument was made that with that ring, you could make bread off of it. What, selling it? No, no, no, not selling it. Then Gil pointed out. No, it was more about being put in a different category.
Starting point is 01:26:05 There's a lot of things that you can't say about a champion. You know what I mean? And that was all it was. Just because this motherfucker got a ring. No, but he was 172 million. I can think of a long list of people who got fucking rings that didn't do jack shit. But he did. They participated in fucking training camp and put their jersey on each night.
Starting point is 01:26:28 But Gil did. He was a star of his team. He was a leader. That's why I asked him. You know, like when you're the star and you're the leader, it's different than somebody that's on the bench that's not making the money he made. I just wanted to know what he would say. And man, that's what I said.
Starting point is 01:26:41 When you're playing and someone said you're guaranteed a ring and you know But it'll cost you 50 million to get this ring as a player when you're playing in real time That sounds like a great idea when you retire and you're a businessman Fuck no We got 50 minute like I gotta try to make 50 million like I'll 90 million. Because that's what we said. We got 50 million. Like, I got to try to make 50 million. Like, I'll be sitting at that ring like, man, the rest of my life it might cost me 50 million. They were trying to kind of give me that for like six years. Nah, this ain't even worth it.
Starting point is 01:27:16 Gil, as you pointed out, you can get a ring on eBay right now for about 10,000. And to what point would, like, BJ and his shit, I'm winning already. Winning is the money, yeah. Man, I grew up in the projects. They had roaches. Mm-hmm. Fuck. For real?
Starting point is 01:27:32 Huh? Yeah, I grew up in the projects, man. Apartments, yeah. They ain't bought you. They ain't bought your house. Yeah. We was clean. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:39 We got neighbors, nigga. Your neighbors will give you roaches. Yeah. I remember that. You know what I'm saying? It ain't about you. My mom went and cussed out our neighbor one time because she kept a nasty house.
Starting point is 01:27:49 Listen, we got to set for my mom's lead to work, to go to work before we went to school. We got to set the foggers off in the apartment before we leave to go to school, bro. Mm-hmm. Projects. Yeah. So you mean to tell me, fuck them rings.
Starting point is 01:28:03 No, I got that part. I'm thinking about, damn, roaches in the house. Fuck them rings, nigga., fuck them rings? No, I got that part. I'm thinking about, damn, Ruggies in the house. Fuck them rings. Hey, them rings cool. Yeah, I waited the two finals. I would love to have won one. So y'all done eaten Raisin Bran growing up, huh? No, you bet not.
Starting point is 01:28:16 No, you bet not. Because they too close. Hey, too close, Jack. Cereal? Raisin bread? That's the first thing the Rutgers go to. That's no go. It's easy to get in the box.
Starting point is 01:28:31 It's already open, that little flat pickin' right in there. Raisin bread, no, you got colors. Fruity peb, fruit loose, you got to do colors. Captain Crunch. Or if it was just Frosted Flakes, them brown. They're a certain brown. They ain't that dark brown.
Starting point is 01:28:48 Yeah. Do you remember those smacks, those sugar smacks? Them too. Those look like roaches. They look like roaches. The smacks, the frog or the bear on them. Yeah. The honey smacks. Yeah, them look like roaches. They're serious. They're the good, all the best ones.
Starting point is 01:29:04 Yes. That's why I indulge one. Yes, why don't now? Don't even look at me don't have two days. It's good old You took me to dark I see a roach now. I'm losing my mind. Oh, that little hissing sound. I might move. Wait, roaches hiss? If you get close, yeah, they make that little hiss. No, we're talking about the regna. No, we're not. You're talking about cockroaches.
Starting point is 01:29:30 Oh, you're talking about the roaches. We're talking about house roaches. We're talking about house roaches. We're talking about them things that multiply in millions. Yeah, you see them when they're pregnant with that little baby on the back. And you know they used to go around. You'd see a bunch of them little sacks. Oh, they had babies.
Starting point is 01:29:49 Oh, what? You can't relate, huh? Turn the light on. Boy, listen. I'm having a problem with the maggots outside. Hey, we do have a maggot issue in the community.
Starting point is 01:29:57 It's a cricket issue at my house. A cricket issue. LA crickets. Yeah, maggots. Like, from the trash can, it's like they try to get to the garage,
Starting point is 01:30:04 and I be up... Why don't you clean your trash can?...six in the morning just spraying. Yeah, they got a little company Like, from the trash can, it's like they try to get to the garage, and I be up... Why don't you clean your trash can? ...six in the morning just spraying. Yeah, they got a little company that come by and clean your trash. No, they come get it off, but it just seems like from the trash can, they just want to gravitate to the garage. So, six in the morning, I just be spraying down like I'm a sole survivor. Not this garage, goddamn.
Starting point is 01:30:22 I mean, that motherfucker just sprays. Oh, my God. All morning, all day. Oh, no. It's worse. It's, that motherfucker just sprays. Oh, my gosh. All morning, all day. Oh, my gosh. It's like, this is my job. I only get maggots when I leave my, when I dump my trash after a week. Like, if I, like, I travel a lot,
Starting point is 01:30:33 so if I don't put the trash, if the trash can don't go out or whatever, that's the only time I've ever seen maggots. Man, we, it comes every Friday, so, like, you got a whole week? It's a whole week. Do you skip? Would your trash don't come twice a week
Starting point is 01:30:47 trash I should come on Tuesday I got kids we come on to trash out no yeah we grew up now but roaches real bro yeah but I'm bringing neighbors on we ain't going back ain't going back. We ain't going back. We even had rats. My grandmother had rats. Didn't have those. I see why you carry a knife. You just carry a gun.
Starting point is 01:31:10 You know my little country. My country? You know my little country. Tricks and shit. You and that motherfucker just. St. Louis, yeah. Okay, all right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:18 Yeah, I mean, I grew up, you know, I grew up poor. I ain't ashamed to say it. But you're doing big things now. Hey, I climbed out. Yeah, we were doing big things. We were doing big things. We were doing big things. We were doing big things. We were doing, I mean, I grew up, you know, grew up poor. I ain't ashamed to say it.
Starting point is 01:31:26 But you're doing big things now. Hey, I climbed out. Yeah, if we would have had a house in certain parts of Dallas where our house would have been, I'm pretty sure we would have probably had rats if we was able to afford a house. Because you're going to live in certain areas if you can get a house, you know what I'm saying?

Starting point is 01:32:20 You read on the TV Let him run across the screen on the TV. Let's keep this thing moving. We got to talk a little bit about James Harden and that Sixers situation, which continues to wage on. The NBA is stepping in. They hit Harden where it hurts the most, his pockets. So Woj posted this tweet earlier today. NBA's finest Sixers star James Harden, 100,000 for his recent comments referring to franchise president Daryl Morey as a liar, sources
Starting point is 01:32:46 tell ESPN. Woj also added some context to the fine. He said for the league's purposes on the fine, Harden comments that he would never be a part of an organization that included Morey, played a bigger part in the fine. Sources said it touched on the league's rules concerning public trade demands.
Starting point is 01:33:03 So the NBA said Harden indicated he would not perform the services called under his player contract unless traded to another team. Obviously, the NBA started that investigation after all this shit went down. Harden clarified, though, that he called Morey a liar for allegedly telling him he would get a trade done quickly after Harden opted in to the final year of his deal. That trade has not happened. So I want to start with you, Goods.
Starting point is 01:33:24 The NBA sent in a warning to other star players that are trying to force trades? Wait, so the player can get fined for his comments about wanting to be traded, but the owners or the general manager can't be fined for saying, we're not going to trade him or we're not going to do this fast. They shouldn't be both sides. Yeah, they both seem like they were. If Maury's saying, yo, we want to do a trade and I want to get the maximum value for a guy,
Starting point is 01:33:54 how come you're hard in the can now say, I think the league is just trying to strong arm and punk the players? That's absolutely what's happening. I mean, either we don't talk about it at all or you just find both sides. It feels like if they initiate it
Starting point is 01:34:08 or if they, you know, because Maury's comments I think came out before the China stuff but obviously things have been going on for a long time
Starting point is 01:34:13 but if Maury says that and makes that public record then Harden should be able to respond to that and say, trade me. Like you said, you wanted to trade me
Starting point is 01:34:20 for, you know. That's what I'm saying because if they said it's not for calling him a liar because that's what they said we're going to investigate for him you know. That's what I'm saying, because if they said it's not for calling him a liar, because that's what they said, we're going to investigate for him, for his comments saying liar, right? He did lie.
Starting point is 01:34:32 Right? He lied. How is that wrong, but what they did, isn't it wrong? And I think the initial reports or the allegations were that he was promised some type of long-term deal if he would have took less bread. I think that's against the CBA.
Starting point is 01:34:47 It's been explained. So just him speaking on it. Well, I can't call it. So we're saying James is getting fined $100,000 for calling him a liar? Publicly? But also... Well, then tell him, Sue me. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:59 Why is the NBA stepping in then? Yeah, that's so crazy. I don't get it. I don't think they clarified. Not more the liar comment. That was the initial tweet. But that it touched on the league's rules concerning public trade. So then it was more about him saying, I will never play for an organization, not saying he's a liar.
Starting point is 01:35:15 Yeah, I will never play for an organization. Is that because he's trying to tell other players, hey, don't play for Maury. He will lie to you? Is that what it's about? I think more or less he's saying, I will never play for them. And he's under contract. So by the letter of your contract. You can say all that shit he want. Training camp ain't fucking started yet. The season ain't started.
Starting point is 01:35:31 You can say everything you want. We're going to see what's going on in about another five weeks. Once them training camp doors open, will he be there? I think they don't want to see this James Harden in camp. They don't want to see what he about to do. So do you get fined for, I mean, do the league get fined or the team get fined when they say this player will no longer be playing in this uniform? And then that player is sitting.
Starting point is 01:35:52 Yeah, they do say that. That's what I'm saying. They do say that shit. Wow. And the player's just sitting there. He will no longer be in a uniform for us until we trade him. They don't get fined for that. Not at all.
Starting point is 01:36:05 Hey, James, tell them ited for that. Not at all. This pocket, hey, tell him, hey, James, tell him it's pocket change. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:09 Cereal box money. The cereal box money, fam. No, for him, man. Raising bread. No,
Starting point is 01:36:15 for him, he probably dropped that off to him on the way. Hey, man, grab my bag, man. Give me some of this.
Starting point is 01:36:22 Hey, this is little baby money. Little baby just gave it to me. I'll give it to y'all. Hey, man, bring my bag. Yeah. Do this little baby money. He just gave it to me. I give it to y'all Bring my bag. Yeah. No, do you think he got a bag got a money counter in the bag? They take their bread this I like well how they take it Take it out to shake for you give them all pennies if you want to be a dump truck, right?
Starting point is 01:36:48 It's gonna be cool gonna be it'll be your check stood then it got a little thing on the back of it It shows up on there Where at the bottom deduction is gonna have a minus 100,000 thousand See that deduction they have it on the little stove on the bottom Deduction hundred thousand do we think he got the hundred thousand dollar fine? It should have been a 50, but because he repeated himself, they doubled it up. He said it twice.
Starting point is 01:37:10 Nah. That's too Negro. Adam Silver. I mean, that's what's in it. Adam Silver trying to show a look. You know what I'm saying? They're just upset that it's him. I think Adam Silver trying to show he's still, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:37:23 He got a little David Stern in him. As I said, it just don't make no sense if you're not doing it to the other side when they do it. Yeah. Because then the other side, the hunter, right? Because if it was David Stern,
Starting point is 01:37:33 that hunter would be 250. 250. And probably missing games. Tell you that shit right now. I can tell you that shit right now. If it was David Stern, that would have been 250. 250 plus games.
Starting point is 01:37:45 Yeah, absolutely. Man wasn't fucking around at all. Rest in peace. Rest in peace, David. No, listen, hey, he got my ass in line. Listen, son, if you want to continue to be a part of this NBA, you're going to change your ways. I'm going to break you. That was the break.
Starting point is 01:38:04 No, it wasn't. It wasn't break my pocket. I was going to be done. Your pockets. No, that was the break. Yeah. No, no. It wasn't no break my pockets. No, I was going to be done. Oh, he's going to put you out. Yeah. One more game. Did you hear what I said?
Starting point is 01:38:12 Yeah. If you want to continue to be a part of this NBA, you'll change your ways. He told me you're going to take these 50 games and you ain't going to say shit. Yes, absolutely. Shotgun was a shot. I'm just going on vacation. Yeah. You gonna take these 50 games and you ain't gonna say shit Season next year off right? Yeah, but I ain't do nothing 50 games, but I ain't do nothing 50 games or I can go after your contract. You said 50, right? Yes We got 50 more. Okay cool I don't know. This is a good deal. See you next year. Top of the rocker. Can I change my number? Yeah, change your number.
Starting point is 01:38:47 What number you want? Nine. Oh, I got you nine. Go ahead, put that order in now. We'll print that for you, nine. This is a good number on you. This is good, yeah. Shit.
Starting point is 01:38:58 Yeah, buddy, man. Listen, Jack. So looking at this Harden situation, what should Harden do to try and get traded, to actually try to make it happen? Man, shit, I don't see anything to do. Is the talking good for him? I think the best thing he can do is just actually cook.
Starting point is 01:39:11 Just cook. Why not? You got to play cook. Let somebody see that, you know, because everybody said he played a different style of basketball to, you know, fit the team, right? So do what you do. Play how you play. Fuck it. Who cares if y'all win? Do what James Harden does and then see if they get rid of you then
Starting point is 01:39:30 It's that that means it's like when you were on the outside that sounds like amazing in theory, right? Now if I'm the organization You have their plan number one basketball you're playing great average and 30 doing all this shit Why the fuck am I trading you man? Where am I gonna treat that guy? I'm the number one team and you're doing your thing why my trade is going to be upset because he's not getting the ball But what I'm saying is if we're winning and you're doing everything you supposed to be do to make your your trade value going up I look stupid now trading you because whatever happens after that goes on me So if I trade you and then now we go from number one and number two or five i look like the idiot so why
Starting point is 01:40:10 they were already up there how they still lost they still didn't get out of the second round so if i were you i would just cook to show the next team i'm going to i still got it his hands raised are we talking about the same team that Ben Simmons didn't play for? Yes, that one. The same team, right? There's a history. Your back hurt?
Starting point is 01:40:35 Yeah. I'm just saying. Same shit, right? It's the same. Disgruntled before the season start. Yeah. Season start. Yeah. Season start. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:50 I'm just saying. Training camp. Yeah, I'm just saying. Find a training camp. They're going to make him look bad. I'm just saying, man. But should he show up? Because it already started.
Starting point is 01:40:57 Because he could jeopardize next season now if he missed the morning 30 minutes. No, man. He's going to show up because he wants to get his check. This is, and like and like I just said to your point gear if this is 60 point triple-double James Harden we talking about It's a different conversation. Mm-hmm. This is not that James Harden Let's call it still talented big play don't get me wrong by anything, but this is not that James Harden
Starting point is 01:41:23 The willingness to put up with the bullshit is here now. You know what I'm saying? Mm-hmm. Now that mother... Last year it was here. This year, like, now with this recent shit, like, yo... Now it's like we're not finna put up with it. But why would we?
Starting point is 01:41:43 So now, to your point, we're going to make you look, we're going to start putting rooms out, this, that, that, and it's going to look bad now. We're just going to start tarnishing even more. Now next, because you got one, it ain't like you got
Starting point is 01:41:55 three, four years on the deal. You got one year on your deal. You're trying to, if you're trying to stick around, it's not the way to go about it. On both sides, though. Yeah. Philly going to win either way.
Starting point is 01:42:09 The team going to win either way it go, dog. Not really. Because they going to win. The reason, you know what I'm saying? They won't. Championship? No, because guess what? Because after next year, guess what?
Starting point is 01:42:21 He's out of there. No, guess what? The Philadelphia 76ers is still going to be a of there. Now, guess what? The Philadelphia 76 is still going to be a fucking organization. Yeah, that's right. It's not guaranteed after next season that James Harden will have a job. Do you think he's done?
Starting point is 01:42:36 It ain't about him. It ain't about him. It ain't nobody wanting him. It's a different NBA, man. Okay. I hear what you're saying. It's a different NBA man. Okay. I hear what you saying They it's different league man But that's why I feel like and they will prove up as they've proven they will continue to prove point to us It's our shit. We run this is not y'all. Well, you can say okay players run. Okay, cool. I'm sure
Starting point is 01:43:04 Contract up. See ya This is what is because team still will be in Philly. Do you really think no team would sign him next year? Absolutely, that's a great chance. Yes, not he let the league in assists. No, no somebody sign Okay, I hear you somebody so I mean, you know worst case scenario He's 22 and 10 but it is you to get the opportunity to prove that this year? That's what I'm saying. That's why I say he should cook. He got one year on his deal.
Starting point is 01:43:29 Is he going to get the opportunity to go out and do 22 and 10? If what you just said, training camp start, he not there, it's disgruntled, all this shit going on. Somebody going to trade for him. Yeah. Somebody. This is the NBA. Everyone don't like Philly.
Starting point is 01:43:43 I just don't like the way teams go about getting rid of the player. This is like I have an ex and I'm trying to get rid of my ex to the next man. Why would I tell you all her flaws? Hell no, I want this removed. She cooks, she cleans, she do this five times a day, she do that. Oh yeah, she's a great partner. Oh, she don't even talk back. Oh yeah, she keep the cooks clean. Yeah, but you know five times a day. She do that. Oh, yeah. She's a great partner Oh, she don't even talk back. Oh, yeah. She keep the house clean. Yeah Take this
Starting point is 01:44:12 By the way, but but the whole saying is one man's trash is another man's trash, right? trash It starts with T, but it still, it comes back trash. I hear you. It looks like trash. I hear you. It looks like gold until you bite into it. But I'm just speaking in this situation. I just don't, like, yeah, James' talent, yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:44:34 But all the shit that come with that talent is not the same talent that, you know what I'm saying? So, therefore, if I'm trying to win now and we got certain pieces, does Jane fit this? Or if I got young guys, why would I? This is history. You know what I'm saying? Why would I want him around my young guys? You know what I'm saying? So it's right now, for him, there's more cons than pros moving forward. You know what I'm saying so this yeah right now For him there's more cons than pros
Starting point is 01:45:08 For you know, but this that's why I say if he just says, you know what fuck it y'all not trading me I would just show up. I don't have to be you know, Kiki when everybody I'm coming here to do my job I'm gonna get buckets. I might not listen to what y'all saying about passing this other guy the ball I might look him off a couple times if are saying about passing this other guy the ball. I might look him off a couple times if I feel like I got the matchup. I'm going to do what James Harden does
Starting point is 01:45:30 and just continue. Play the season. That ain't the way to go. You can't go that way either. Now you got the MVP over here motherfucking mad. Then now they got to trade me. That's my point.
Starting point is 01:45:39 Now they got to trade me. Boy, no, they don't have to trade you. They don't have to trade you. Here's the thing to trade you. They don't have to trade you. Here's the thing. The other side of it. He shows value, though. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:45:48 Another team might see that as value. Why am I playing that way? Not playing that way when you got the MVP, who's your best player now. Why am I jeopardizing my record and this happiness for you to prove a point? No, he's still winning, though. Still winning. Still playing. You don't know.
Starting point is 01:46:04 I don't know. Why do I trust you? Why do I trust you when you go out't know I don't know what I'm that why do I trust you? What do I trust you when I when you go out there? I don't know what you're gonna do Yeah, so they're gonna hang on the line We've got to win this game and you decide to take a 50-foot just to prove a point to lose the game I come out and draw a playoff for Embiid to do this thing and you come out and fucking run a pick and roll and shoot that bitch. But they're making him play.
Starting point is 01:46:29 They're telling him they're not trading him. What are they going to do with him? How did I start my statement? Ben Simmons. He's been sitting for the whole season. I'm going to find him. I can't wait to see what happens. They don't have no... They're not going to play James Harden this year.
Starting point is 01:46:48 So I'm just going... We can see what they did. They have no intentions of playing James Harden this year, knowing he don't want to play. Absolutely. So therefore, they have to create the narrative of him not wanting to play. So now they have to try to figure out little things in practice
Starting point is 01:47:04 to find him. That's why he should show up. No, it's too late now. It's too late. He should have shut the fuck up. It's too late, so now I got to find a reason for you not to go in the game. To your point,
Starting point is 01:47:18 you should have shut up and played with him. What if he doesn't do anything? What if he doesn't do anything wrong? So then you can't prove that he doesn't want to play? I got a phone in your pocket. I'm not going to give you the opportunity. I'm not going to give you the opportunity to prove me wrong. Ben Simmons had a water bottle.
Starting point is 01:47:37 They turned it into a cell phone. They're making Ben Simmons run 35 line drills. He's the best defensive player. He's an all defensive player. And they're talking about get on a defensive end. I mean get on defensive drills You know, I need to see how you play defense bitch. I'm first team two years straight, which really oh, oh you you're not going in Oh, you're not going in Detriment so Timmy can't play tomorrow Not wait to see that's a visibility. You can't play tomorrow. That's all they're going to do. They even
Starting point is 01:48:05 said it. Doc came in on bullshit. Going to pick on him until he bucks. How long I'm going to pick on James Harden every single day until he bucks. Do this James. Do this James. Do this James. Until he say nah man. Oh detrimental
Starting point is 01:48:21 to the team. You don't want to practice. He's already doing him as is. Off days. This nigga in Vegas, man. Oh, detriment to the team. You don't want to practice. He's already doing him as is. Off days. This nigga in Vegas, Houston. He's already doing him. Oh, I know. You know what I'm saying? They're going to use that against him.
Starting point is 01:48:33 So now it's a problem if he go. Now if he, everything is magnified. It's going to be magnified. Everything magnified at this point. Oh, he went to the club? Oh, yeah, that's team. We got that in the rule book right here. You can't leave the team facility.
Starting point is 01:48:46 Yeah. But the issue for the Sixers, though, one year left on Harden's deal, are they comfortable just letting that expire and letting him walk? No. They're not, no. That's what I'm saying. They got until February, basically, to pick some shit up. It's the whole theory of this. They think this is the 90s.
Starting point is 01:49:02 They're not realizing you're paying players 40-something million, 50-something million. One, two checks. That covers everything. So they think that every game check you miss, it will make you want to do something.
Starting point is 01:49:19 Not realizing, man, shoe contracts, you know, these apps. These guys are making so much money that. And he was willing to opt out of that. Yeah. He was going to opt out of that 36 or whatever it is. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:49:33 But that's the thing. They feel that, oh, yeah, we're going to, if he gets fined every single day, he'll probably want to get up. Same thing they did with Ben. Yeah, some people will. Yeah, some people will. Some people will. You're talking about a guy who has max deals, and you got apps, and you got friends, and you're like, I'm going to fucking make that contract.
Starting point is 01:49:51 Wine. You got a little baby giving him $100. What kind of relationship is this? This is a whole other era. My heart is not tripping on now trying to get another contract. I mean, I know he's got the bread, but from your guy's standpoint, now if I can get another. He won't another one. I'm saying I can get another $100 I mean, I know he's got the bread, but from your guy's standpoint, now if I can get another... He won't another one.
Starting point is 01:50:06 I'm saying I can get another 100, 200. I think he won't another one, but of course, we all want another thing, but it ain't fucking what we want. You give me that shit, if he can get the full year 125, 200, of course he's going to take it.
Starting point is 01:50:19 Absolutely, and I think that's what he, instead of going after this max money he was going after, that would have been more feasible for him to go in there with an extension for them people. And that's, we watch the games, dog. Honesty. I like James as a fucking person.
Starting point is 01:50:36 I really do. Cool as shit. Yes. Very cool. But if we're being honest about the game and where he is now. From a numbers standpoint, I know what you're saying, but led the league in assists. I'm just saying that 22 and 10- It's not a match. You got the fucking best player on your team.
Starting point is 01:50:53 It's not Boston. This is not Boston. Yeah, but is Jaylen Brown the best player on the Celtics? That's my fucking point, Joe. It's not Boston. We're not going to pay the second best player. That's not what they're going to do. That's all I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:51:04 That's not what they're going to do. That's all I'm saying. That's not what they're going to do. If they're going to pay somebody, they haven't paid Tyrese Maxey yet. He's proven that he's deserving of good money. They can't go and give James Max money and still be able to take care of Tyrese. They haven't paid him yet. And B, there's the man on the team. Get rid of Harden thenening that's what i'm
Starting point is 01:51:25 saying yeah but now we handicap because you're you make a lot of you have last year you deal you got baggage you ain't won a championship you did so it's more like i said there's more cons now than pros in this situation for teams him everything is just what it is that's what but that's that was my point. You're trying to give us all the bad stuff knowing that there's a buyer. And if I'm the buyer, I'm like, why would I buy that for that price?
Starting point is 01:51:57 You told me everything that's bad about it. I'll give you this for it. It's like the Carfax thing. Going for the Carfax, this Yeah. Going from Carfax, this motherfucker to a seven accident. Yeah, don't tell me
Starting point is 01:52:07 it's been a seven accident. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Tell me an old lady was driving and he ain't got no miles on that,
Starting point is 01:52:13 you know. He never drove it in the car. Yeah, tell me some shit that I want in here. Absolutely. Trick me.
Starting point is 01:52:17 Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Trick me. Oh, he was in Vegas. No, that wasn't him. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:21 You know, that's body double. Let me say, tell me any goddamn that was a body double that's why we ain't find him and then that was somebody who looked like james you're supposed to be lying to the buyer now you guys are so busy trying to tell us everything that's so bad about the player why you need to get rid of them not realizing the buyer on the other side is listening to.
Starting point is 01:52:45 Absolutely. You're not going to tell me that this is a Honda and try to, a Lambo money. Yeah. No, no, no, no, no, no. You better trick me. You better tell me it's Bugatti. Yeah. It's a Bugatti and then you're going to give me Lambo price.
Starting point is 01:52:58 Yeah. You know, I was going to ask, you know, 350,000 for it. You know, I'm going to give it to you because we're friends. Yeah. 200. 200. Like trick me, make me think I got a deal. Don't make it seem like it's 30,000 and you I'm going to give it to you because we're friends. Yeah. $200. $200. Like, trick me. Make me think I got a deal. Don't make it seem like it's $30,000
Starting point is 01:53:07 and you try to charge me $200. Absolutely. Fuck you. Yeah, no, I just... Right? Feel that. That's what it is right now. Yeah, you can't...
Starting point is 01:53:16 You asked me about my ex right now as a man. Oh, that's the best ex ever. Why did you dump her? I didn't... You know, it was a situation. It was me. It was me.
Starting point is 01:53:24 It was me. I was going through something me it was me it was me i was going through the wrong with yeah i left the toilet seat up it was just i i wasn't i wasn't right for her yeah i wasn't right for her i was too busy trying to but she's a good woman i wish i could take her back i wish i could get her back but you know she's good for you yeah yeah yeah uh-huh too much later why Why you lie to me too late nigga block what block As you was man, look
Starting point is 01:53:52 I just think is It's too far gone Mm-hmm. That's why I can't wait unless you listen Only way he makes it happen is you gonna have to give me exactly what you promised me plus something Thousand bottles of James Harden wine You're gonna have to do some give my money and beat out the Chinese Thousand on the first like to your point like he should have came shut up, shut up, just came and played basketball. Yeah. Shouldn't have had shit to say.
Starting point is 01:54:27 Okay, you want to get out of it. We all know you. I know I want to leave. I don't want to fucking be here. I'm going to show up, man. I'm going to be this person. Yeah. Just shut up.
Starting point is 01:54:38 But it's too late now. It's too late for my answer. But you know how petty, most of the times players want trades or like, it's never really over nothing serious. There's always something little anyway. But we so prima donna that once we're off the idea, we're off of it. No, no, it's a fact. Parking spaces, and you don't give my parking space. No, no, it's a no. Parking spaces?
Starting point is 01:55:05 Don't give my parking space? Oh, no, we can only speak on experience. Mm-hmm. I wanted out of Denver like fucking nothing other, dog. I wanted out. Out. I didn't want to play for George Carl. I fucking hated the ground he walked on, dog.
Starting point is 01:55:23 We had public altercation. Got suspended in the playoffs, all this. I showed up, I didn't say shit. Came to your job. I came to show up and get my fucking job, dog. You're a professional. Everybody knew I didn't want to fucking be there. I didn't have to tell nobody else.
Starting point is 01:55:44 Everybody knew I don't want to be be there. I didn't have to tell nobody else. Everybody knew I don't want to be here. Yeah. From just head coach. Don't get along at all. Can't make nothing happen, so I'm going to show up and do my job, dog. Mm-hmm. There's nothing I can do in this moment.
Starting point is 01:56:00 You know what I'm saying? Show up and do my job. Not finna give y'all y'all money, but I earned that. Mm-hmm. You know what I'm saying? I played my ass my job. Not finna give y'all y'all money, but I earned that. You know what I'm saying? I played my ass off for that. So, nah, let me get that. I'm gonna show up and do my job. Let me get that. Let me get that, dawg. Show up and do my job, and at the end of these
Starting point is 01:56:13 seven, I'll holler at you. That's what happened. You know what I'm saying? So, yeah, you just gotta show up and hoop, man. What you getting paid to do? Show up and hoop, dawg. Shut up. That's how it is, man. Now it's time for the last segment of the show. Most of you fans.
Starting point is 01:56:29 Wait. Oh, fuck. Never mind. What happened? What you got? Give a shout out. Do your thing. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:56:34 I want to give a shout out to Tough Fades and Frank Nitti. They won the Drew League Championship this weekend. Okay. Frank had 36, 9, and 6. This is his fourth MVP, second championship. He's been cooking, cooking. Most influential hooper coming out of California, if we're keeping it real. Jordan, shoe line.
Starting point is 01:56:57 Oh, he do have a Jordan shoe line. Shout out Frank Nitti. Tough fades. They beat a team that had four NBA players on it. And he gave them 36. That nigga is cooking. I really wish I could have seen him in the league. Nah, Frank is nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:11 Shout out Frank. And while we're in the, shout out Mo, shout out Sha'Carri Richmond too for winning that 100 meters. I'm finna sound like a hater. Okay. So you say, so what stopped it? Kids. Who's politics? Kids.
Starting point is 01:57:23 Also, but he had kids. What the fuck that has to do with anything? Well, when you're trying to... How. Also, but he had kids. Fuck that has to do with anything. Well, when you're trying to... How old was he when he had kids? Young. But you know, like... And his what? Hold on.
Starting point is 01:57:34 He was young. He was in 20s. Cal State LA alumni also. What happened was... I had my first child at 20. He didn't get drafted, and he played for the Lakers G League team, and he got hurt, right?
Starting point is 01:57:44 So then he had a kid, so he went to go work at Verizon to just make money to take care of his kid. And he just said, I can't even chase my dream. I got to take care of my son. I got to go get a job and bring some money in because he wasn't going to get drafted. He's going to have to take a longer route to get there. Instead of waiting on that money and trying to do that, he went and got a job. Real nigga. a longer route to get there instead of you know waiting on that money trying to do that he went and got a job real nigga then once he got started playing in the Drew League started getting all this recognition so I plan overseas and other NBA teams did give him a trial but at that time he was in his 30s so he didn't
Starting point is 01:58:15 really make it but this thing is a very no no he was one of them stories yes he should have made it yes he's one bad decisions. Yeah Okay, you know happens I can accept that one. Yeah, you're just bad decision. Thank you. Yes Okay, well shut up you so you sold me the book version Okay, I appreciate it I appreciate them saying the back story behind it. But yeah. But no, I just wanted to know, because he was a part of Big 3,
Starting point is 01:58:51 and I was just like, he played well in Big 3, but I just talk shit about him. I just like, who kid? Like, that's... He said, who kid? You know what I'm saying? Like, no. Who child is this?
Starting point is 01:59:00 Yeah, who child is this? He was hooping when he was in the thing, but I just didn't... But, and to my... If he was supposed to be this and dad And yeah, if there was this Stenuating circumstance that got in the way Not the key. That's what I said. We all stayed he plays That was a shooting guard, okay in college, okay
Starting point is 01:59:24 Yeah, there's kind but shit happens Okay Shit happens He did go get a job you still fucking who yeah, but the kid happened in the process of this other shit Verizon close that motherfucking 730. Okay You know get a kid to your parents. Yeah, I see you we get older Verizon close at 8 p.m. And they opened at fucking 9. I'll see you when you get older. I'll see you when you get older.
Starting point is 01:59:52 Shut up, pregnancy. Shut up. This is 14, 15 years old. That can't take nothing away. I ain't taking nothing off his plate. I just want to know, because we all heard stories of guys, we've all been around guys that should have made it for whatever reason.
Starting point is 02:00:08 And the third, and you sold me the book verse. You sold me the book verse. I gave the real answer. I'm trying to be quick. The shit happens. I'm with it. You know we're not doing shit quick. I appreciate shit happens. But anyway, shout out to Frankuff Faye, Frank Nitti. I was a something McCall way when shit happened too, shit.
Starting point is 02:00:29 So I can just say, hey, I fucking get it. Yeah.
