Episode Date: July 1, 2025Gil's Arena Reacts To Damian Lillard CUT By The Milwaukee Bucks as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew react to the Milwaukee Bucks making a move to sign Myles Turner and release future Hall of Fame...r Damian Lillard in the process. They break down what this move means for the Bucks who are looking to rebuild a championship contender around Giannis Antetokounmpo and debate if releasing Dame will be the final straw for the Greek Freak to finally demand a trade. They then grade what has been an active offseason for the Houston Rockets who made a massive move for Kevin Durant and signed hoopers like Clint Capela & Dorian Finney-Smith and debate if these moves were enough for H-Town to compete with the OKC Thunder at the top of the Western Conference, before reacting to KD's appearance alongside LeBron & Steve Nash on the Mind The Game Podcast. Next, they take another look at the stagnant offseason for LeBron James & The Los Angeles Lakers who have positioned themselves as Deandre Ayton or bust, sparking a debate on if the team should just hang it up and clear cap space for 2027. Finally they whip around the NBA to cover various moves from the opening day of NBA Free Agency like Jordan Clarkson signing with the New York Knicks, D'Angelo Russell signing with the Dallas Mavericks and Michael Porter Jr getting shipped away from the Denver Nuggets by Nikola Jokic before discussing what's next for Jonathan Kuminga & The Golden State Warriors as their contract battle has stretched into NBA Free Agency. Before we take our summer hiatus.
Why you don't pick?
See, I'm merely a host.
But you're part of the couch though.

I don't like competition, but I will participate with y'all.
Yeah, it's just like you part of the couch.
Only do little league pickers.
I'm saying, but you're part of the couch.
So it just only makes sense.
OK.
Well, if the people want me to do it.
See what your knowledge is, because you do this,
and see what you just think is only fair. Maybe I do it. Maybe I do it. Well, you know
People when they do things they include themselves in there like when they do a Sunday pillow
I'm not so they pick games on Sunday. You never see two guys. It's pressing
I'm getting
I'm gonna press the big I would join the lights get a light
I know you're busy man. I do little league
All day, huh? Jobie guy I do the live pick if that's why I don't I don't do the pre I'll be in the moment like okay
Show hey about to get it going. Hey harder because you see it doesn't work. Yeah
Hit it in the heart just change Normally if I see a team struggling I'll be to hit it in, and it's like, oh, I'll just change.
Normally, if I see a team struggling, I'll be like, all right, they're going to get
it going.
Dodgers struggling the first couple of innings, like, all right, they're going to get the
best going.
You know, they're going to get to work, but I always get betrayed.
It's hard to pick.
You'll be trying to get like three or four, and then by the time you get ready to put
your money in it and change your line.
Little goddamn quarter to the end.
Too late.
Yeah, that's the worst.
Try to get it in a commercial break.
But here are the scores after five partner packs
since you guys asked.
Kenyon and Gil are tied with four out of five correct picks.
Mr. B and Swaggy each have three out of five correct.
And Rashad, you have two out of five right so far,
but I'm expecting a big comeback in the near future.
I really got three out of four.
I didn't do it.
No, you showed up to work and did not do the pick'em.
You there for it? Forfeited that pick'em. I don't think it's fair. I didn't work that day. didn't do it showed up to work. It did not do the pick them you verify
Forfeited that picker. I don't think I don't think that day
Once you walk in the door your clock. They said whether you work or not you have to submit. Yeah
I don't what is what is what it said? That's that is the best for you for not
You know show to the game
Yeah, absolutely
Definitely that happened in a big three you sure you go. Yeah, it. Definitely. That happened in the big three. You didn't show up, you teased like hell.
It goes on your record.
It goes on your record.
That's how it goes here in Gills Arena presented by 100.
But let's take a look at our crew partner pack for today.
If we can, let's keep it riding.
So if you use this partner pack, you can win nearly 14 times your bread.
It is boosted.
But let's take a look.
So we've got, Ken, you got Max Fried,
San Fernando Valley legend, higher 4.5 strikeouts.
Went to Montclair Prep, I think ended
Harbor West Lake somewhere else,
prep shut down under some unfortunate circumstances.
Swaggy, you have Christopher Sanchez,
higher 4.5 strikeouts.
Brandon, you got Juan Soto, I know black,
higher 0.5 total bases.
Rashad, you got Kelsey Mitchell, lower point five three pointers made and give you have Courtney Williams higher twenty two point five
points rebounds and assists he does a boosted packed worth
More than 13 times your bread if you ride with it
So, let's see what the chat has to say if they're riding whoo
That is not falling in line. We got we will stall. We will stall. Hey, they gonna lose again
Letting the market correct itself. Give me a second. I'm five five yesterday. Oh, yeah
Y'all better fuck with us on underdog. You already know what time it is. Hope keep these lights on. Ah
mmm
51% is riding. I'm gonna go ahead and call it now.
51% is riding, we got it over.
We got it, now 53%, alright, let's keep it moving.
Good job, Chad, way to be reactive in the moment.
If you like these picks, go ahead and add our crew partner
pack on the underdog app.
If you don't have underdog download the app,
use promo code GIL, get $1,000 in bonus cash
plus a special pick them.
And if you can't watch the show live with us on YouTube,
we have audio version available on Apple, Spotify,
wherever you get your podcasts.
So, we're gonna start this show talking about
Mr. B's Milwaukee Bucks,
who made the biggest splash of the day.
Several moves going on, retained a bunch of players.
Got a big creative move, let go of a legend,
future Hall of Famer.
So it started with the announcement
that the Bucks were signing Miles Turner.
So let's take a look at that.
Deal with Turner is four years, $107 million including player option in year four, 15%
trade kicker, that information courtesy of Shoms.
But when this deal was announced, a lot of people were like, well, how are the Bucs going
to make this happen?
They don't have no bread to get it going.
But the Bucs cleared up some cap space.
And how, you may ask?
Let's take a look at what they did.
So Bucs are waving Damian Lillard, stretching the remaining $113 million on
his contract in order to acquire Miles Turner.
As you may recall,
Dame suffered a torn Achilles in this postseason, played through a cap strain,
gave his all to the team to help them in their playoff push and the team paid him back by telling him don't come to
work here's your bread. So Chris Haynes is reporting that Yanis wasn't happy about Dane
being wave so the only comment we have fromannis so far is this IG story.
Which says mood, I don't know what's going on right now, man, Yannis smoking cigar.
Chris Haynes report has a lot of validity to it.
Chris Haynes related to Yannis' wife.
Just as context in this situation.
But Mr. B, we'll start with you.
You're very active today.
The app formerly known his Twitter.
I think found out a little later in the game
that Damian Lillard was going to be
waived for this deal to happen.
But what was your initial reaction to the Bucs
waving Dame and signing Miles Turner?
Well, my first reaction was the fact
that we just like owing people money.
So I had to go back and make sure they owe me some money.
I mean, because they owe, we owe two coaches, we owe Dane money.
So we just in the hole.
Tell them I ain't got it.
Right now.
Milwaukee.
I mean, but getting Miles Turner was, you know, I mean, you know, he's younger than
Brooke Lopez.
They kind of do the same thing.
So that kind of evens itself out a little bit.
I just don't know what directions we're going in.
We still don't have a closer.
We don't have anybody like Chris Middleton.
I feel like getting Dane when we got Dane.
His chemistry with Giannis wasn't really there.
So that was already a failure.
Freak time.
So yeah, I kind of really didn't understand really the move.
But I'm happy for Dane. You know, he gets his money.
He actually has a chance now to actually go where he wants to go.
So for his sake it's good.
And for the Bucs, we just got to wait and see.
So Dane, five years, $22 million a year on Bobby Bonilla Day.
As you may recall, Bonilla gets a payment every single year, July 1st.
Yeah.
Good bread.
Let's move over to this side of the couch. Money-Making Sonny, what do you
think about the Bucks? Signing Miles Turner, taking away from the Pacers. He
was the longest tenured Pacer at that point. Spent 10 seasons in Indiana, was
the constant subject of trade rumors. Soon as he got some free agency, he took
his bread and dipped him in Milwaukee. But in order to do so they had to wave Dame Lillard. The buck stops here.
That's it. That's it. The buck stops here. It stops here. Why does the buck stop here? I mean it's just nasty work.
Like you said they owe a lot of people so it's just free bread at this point. And Dane was going to be out for a whole year, so
trying to rationalize with what they're thinking about moving forward.
Even with Giannis uncertainty, what he want to do as an owner,
you get rid of Brooke, you already got rid of Middleton.
That whole championship field is gone.
So your mind's where it will rebuild.
But it's like, do we rebuild with Giannis?
Or do we start over completely?
So owing all that money is like trying to say,
like, are we going to take a few years off?
Or are we still going to keep going?
So I don't know what's going on, but it
looks like it stopped.
Everything has stopped.
Stops here.
Let's shift over to Swaggy. Swaggy, what do you think about the Bucks?
Sign of miles turn to waving, dang.
Just Milwaukee being Milwaukee.
You know, just...
Your Milwaukee family still looking for you?
They still looking for a lot of people now I see.
A lot of people owe them money in Milwaukee.
It just...man, Milwaukee is just dead man just they ain't got no who's
they point guard now? Kevin Porter Jr. right now? Just let Porter and fucking Kyle Kuzma
just shoot all the shots and just forget about Milwaukee for the next couple years.
and just forget about Milwaukee for the next couple years.
Can you, how do you feel about the Bucks? Signing Miles Turner away from the Pacers,
arch nemesis in the Eastern Conference,
but waving Damian Lillard to do so.
Start with the day, they interesting move.
Unexpected by a lot of people, but they had to move some money with the signing, interesting move, unexpected,
by a lot of people, but they had to move some money
with the sign at them, I was turning them,
so someone's gonna have to give.
But yeah, nah, it's shit, to B's point,
like, shit, how much they got over there?
Yeah.
Hey, shit, it's just, at an influx, hey, you want a job?
Cool, you want a job?
Cool, fire you, fire you, fire you, fire you.
Fire, fire.
Listen, man, this shit's amazing.
Let me get that check.
All right, hey.
How many guys?
I want a job.
Yeah, shit, we all.
Shit, shit.
Doc next.
Something on the media side, something.
Doc next, yeah, Doc know what's going on.
Something.
Doc next, he gotta walk away with another check.
Doc, no.
So, what does Mouse Turner do for the books?
Because in my opinion, you just move furniture.
Brooke Lopez signed him with a liberty.
You just move furniture.
You just move the table from this corner to that corner.
Absolutely.
That's all.
Absolutely.
You're a little younger, though.
Absolutely.
That's it.
That's it.
Absolutely.
OK, you wonder how young. OK, this table, you just move furniture. You wiped it off a little bit. That's all
Okay, I know that's this table for the just you wiped it off a little bit you wipe the dust off unless it's a block They both play them free throw line free throw line 100%
No rebounds just black like they're not going no
Rebounds in the finals. Yes
Brook has five. On the pick and roll.
But Lopez has 13 and five last.
Yeah, 13.
Yes, five rebounds.
He could play better defense than Brook.
Miles on the pick and roll?
Cause that's what the-
No.
He was better.
They was seeking him out.
In the fight, seeking him out.
Brook just, he just, he here.
He can't move.
He's a real statue.
He can, but he just, he being dropped so much
that it's like, it's hard to come up and get back.
He's a real statue.
Yeah, you go right around.
He's like 37 too.
Oh, he's 37?
And he's 30, so he's got 10 years.
That's a better move.
That's a younger move, but what does it do for 29?
With the Yonis, you still need more.
You still got Bobby Portis, right?
Yeah, Bobby Portis right what
you got Bobby Portis Gary Harris the foreign prince kept him in that role
I was trying to got some experience yeah I'm saying they kept Bobby in that role
I think the Bucks played better with Bobby Portis on the floor from what I've
noticed Bobby's better than Kuzma, agreed? No, different.
Yeah.
Different.
Because Bobby can play the four.
Bobby can play the three.
Bobby can play the three, too.
But he's a footballer.
When he comes in, he plays it.
Because you can't put a small on Bobby.
I think you can put a small on Kuz, and you get something
different.
You put a small on Bobby, he put you in their post.
But that's what I'm saying.
Kuz not going to do that.
Kuz don't go put you down there in the post.
That's what Bobby is.
That's what I'm saying is different. Well, I want do that. Kuzma's gonna go put you down there in the post. That's what Bobby's... That's what I'm saying is different.
Well, I wanna say, not say better,
let's just say more valuable.
I wouldn't even say that.
When he's in the game.
I wouldn't even say that.
Bobby's a more valuable player.
That's why they bring him off the bench.
But you need an aggressive Kyle Kuzma.
You need an aggressive mindset of Kyle Kuzma.
Yeah, but that's determined on him.
Like he's gotta turn it on.
Turn it on this year.
We know Bobby's gonna, that's a consistent Bobby. He don't have to turn it, when Bobby turned it on him. He's got to turn it on. Turn it on this year. We know Bobby's going to, that's a consistent Bobby.
He don't have to turn it, when Bobby turn it on,
he giving us 22, 24.
Yeah, like when he turn it on.
But a regular Bobby is giving us 16.
Why is Bobby here?
16, 16.
Why is Bobby here?
Solid, off the bench.
We need the cowhose when they was playing with the Lakers
that didn't give a fuck what we was playing with.
But he lost, he's gone.
But he didn't give a fuck.
Yeah, I'm saying, he need to come back. That guy that played for the L lost, he's gone. But he didn't give a fuck.
Yeah, I'm saying, he need to come back.
That guy that played for the Lakers,
that shot that bitch every time he touched her damn there.
You think Doc don't let him play like that?
He need to in order for Doc to keep his job.
I mean, we don't have no score.
I mean, who the fuck?
But you still got Yannis looking at it.
Kevin Porter can score.
Yeah.
Yannis gonna be looking at Kooz like,
yo, what are you doing, bro?
Garrett Trent still right here.
Yeah.
So we need a closer. Yo, what do you think about this Garrett Rint still right here. We need a closer.
What do you think about this home move?
We need a real hooper.
Bucks bringing in Miles Turner.
So the Pacers have previously said they'd be willing to go into the luxury tax during the postseason.
Halliburton gets hurt and they said fuck all that.
We keeping our breath.
But also from the Bucks side, Dane playing with the calf strain,
turning into an Achilles injury.
Been battling through injury
throughout the past two seasons in Milwaukee,
trying to give his all to this team.
And them just saying, here, take this bread,
don't even come to work.
Let me ask an upgrade from Brook Lopez.
Kuzma has one more year under his belt, Bobby Portis,
just to play the whole season this year, right so
So we that's gonna help. I mean, you know, it's before we hope it's good. I mean, you know already been in here
You know you got you know, as long as they keep majority of people that was there last year adding
retained a lot of that roster Adding miles helps them As long as they keep majority of the people that was there last year, Adding retained
a lot of that roster.
Adding Miles helps them.
You know, that guy that filled that point guard void.
And we're going to see if Mr. B stays a Bucs fan.
He has to.
It sounds like just from the history of what we know
about him, he's going to decide not to be a Bucks fan.
He's going to crash out real soon.
Yeah, he's going to crash out real,
oh, he's going to be mad real soon.
Maybe in the next 48 hours.
You know, if they get a certain point guard over there.
There are some point guards that are still on the
free agency market right now.
What point guard are they looking at real hard. Is it an older one?
Real cheap ready to go He played point goal! That's not a one baby! All year long!
He's going to play all 82!
He's playing all 82!
He's saying Clifford?
Yes!
Yes!
Damn!
I just want to know
if B going to be on the sideline
doing his thing?
Doing his thing. Jumping and dancing. So, doing his thing.
Hey, E.
Yeah, that's it.
That's it, that's over with.
You want, my answer is right here.
I was just wondering.
Mr. B, if this unnamed point guard
did decide to come to Milwaukee,
he wants to wear number three,
would you give him your blessing?
Or he gotta pick a new number.
Oh my gosh.
Or he gotta pick a new number.
Ow! Number three, doing that shit. He wants to wear number three. Would you give him your blessing?
See if you loyal to are you loyal to the bucks or you gotta to the idea you gotta pick a new number You can't work three. Why would you even want to wear that number?
Stay for
Hmm There's no for Clifford Stay for Mmm
Even 48 hours, you know, I have Monday, but Monday
Talk about basketball
You talk about fuck the age and all that you talk about basketball
You talking about, fuck the age and all that, you talking about basketball, it helps.
It definitely fucking helps.
I don't get, listen, fuck personal field.
Anything we think, have to say, whatever, it helps.
Smart plays down the end, controls the game.
Definitely helps.
Make sure the right person gets the ball all the time.
You know where it's going.
Hey, you know what he gonna do, listen man.
It helps.
Yes it does.
Yes it does. He's a master of the. Does it help? Yes, it does.
Yes, it does.
But he's a master of the thing that Giannis needs.
Yes, it does.
Pick and roll.
And to get in this, but listen, get your ass on the block, big fella.
Yes, I got you.
He want an impon guard.
Does that take it out with Giannis' hands up?
It's good.
Because he can pick and choose when he want it, though.
Every day, he can get it when he want it.
Listen, man, you know the way that shit is, Nick.
When that shit get tight, though, you can't- Slow it down. After running over people with motherfucking two minutes to go in the game, don't forget it when you listen man You know the way that shit is Nick when that shit get tight down you can't slow it down
I thought running over people with motherfucking two minutes to go in the game door. Listen, you're getting charged
You got four files and you run them up
On the game
I got you come set this and roll stop this
I got you come set this and roll stop it slow down
And I still got my little me when I'm late grip that imminent Blake Griffin, yeah only two people gonna shoot that bitch in the fourth
Yeah, hey with my
Rolling rise about like me listen, Nick dead ass, Brandon dead ass. No, no I hear you.
Mouth turn, let you do what you do best.
I hear you.
You wanna spot up and shoot that bitch,
he gonna do it.
Watch it from here.
Bobby Portis you like to do,
Cow fools will use, hey,
only person that's gonna suffer a little bit is KPJ
cause he like to muffle, get that bitch and dance with him.
You can bring him on, look.
But I'm saying he coming off the bitch so they won't be on the floor.
So you can bring him and Bobby off. What is Doc gonna do right away?
Going right back to the Clippers. The Clippers system. What's that system?
Pick and roll with pick and pop actually with Mounce pick and pop with the Deonis
Duckian. Yeah because you got a different dynamic because- Pick and pop with Deanna's duck in with everybody else stretched.
You had two rollers.
Yep.
And Deandre and Blake.
Blake became somewhat pick and pop guy, but it was up to 16, 17.
Miles Turner popping the three.
Bobby Porter's popping the three.
Hitting that money.
Is there a lineup where they play Kuzma, Porter, I mean, Porter?
Yeah, I think so.
Deanna's and Turner? I was thinking about that, but you would put Kuzma, Porter, I mean Portis. I think so. Giannis and Turner.
I was thinking about that, but you put Kuzma at the two.
Yeah.
Big ass lineup.
Yeah.
Just to fuck people up.
Just to fuck them up for us.
But I think if he does go there,
he'd rather go small than go big.
Because Kuzma's big skilled people.
It's hard to have a team full of those though. Like, they got enough that can actually like,
you can play the two and you can play the one
and we can all be solid for basketball, yeah.
Like, take it, that's what I said,
take all our feelings.
Yeah, for sure, for sure, for sure.
To win here.
Yannis and Kuz can guard one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because there's nothing else out there.
That's what I was thinking.
So, if you really want to get free,
yeah, you can, yeah, Yannis at the five,
Bobby at the four, Kuz, yeah, that's it. Yeah, that one, you're honest at the five Bobby at the four cool. Yeah, that's yeah that one right there
I like better as it stands right now. Let's take a look at the Bucs current projected starting five
Any season obviously more moves may be made in the near future. So until
They bring in another potential point guard option
You got KPJ at the one Gary Trent jr
Who resigned as well the two coups at the three Yonis at the four miles Turner
Well, hey them top two dudes aggressive I mean we definitely we top five for sure these
But that five there easy that's pretty stupid
top three absolutely
with Boston being hurt. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I mean what happened if I go to him? I'm just honest goes down with this team is no hope
No, he said top three with CP three yes way
You got everybody
No, no, no, you can't with that one guy go to New York we're here
So this guy if he go down if Yanis go down with this group,
y'all are, he's nothing.
What we not making a playoff?
Nothing.
If they get Chris Paul and Yanis go down, Bobby Porter's,
say Bobby Porter.
We're not getting the playoffs at all.
No, no.
Y'all not beating the Wizards.
No, all right.
Without Yanis?
All right.
All right. Listen, we make it, if Yanis go down, we put Bobby there, we right without Yonis. All right. All right. All right. Listen, we make it if Yonis go down
We put Bobby there. We're still without y'all. I feel a force
Bucks fucked up without y'all. I feel you're baiting him into a crash
Marcus Marcus smart
Middleton is barely known right now as they get a SAR who else the watch to just get
Still aggressive
Who was the four somebody else?
They got somebody else it's like all bad
Your dope or rough we appreciate you upgrading rough grades
Because it, so.
Free Jumpstart Trial Day.
It takes a lot of the,
the coaching out of Doc's hands.
With CP being on the floor.
It's a lot of familiarity there and.
You know what CP gonna do.
You know you're gonna get a good shot.
So, Pala, can we show that starting five
one more time, please?
Clea, I have a question for you.
So we see the starting five,
but we know the most important person
in the starting five is Giannis.
Like I mentioned, Chris Haynes reporting,
Giannis very upset with how the Bucs did, dang.
Also has been applying the pressure
with this Bucs organization to make some moves,
bring some players in,
to keep his championship window open. Do you think the Bucs have done enough
to keep Giannis happy with these off-season moves so far?
We'll see in 48 hours like y'all said.
Is there any other? I mean they stole somebody that they wasn't expecting to get, I mean, it does help. I mean, you know, you lose them, you lose 20, but 26, 25 and what, six?
Get miles, help stretch the floor.
You have every 16 to seven, two blocks last season.
Question, does the, so with this,
as stand right there, if, just say CP don't go.
Does the ball move better with that five without dame?
It moves better.
Just a little slower.
Probably less possessions in the game, but it's controlled.
What they probably need right, you know, you maximize every
possession, especially in the last five six minutes.
There won't be no wild shots taken.
So they won't lose those close games, you know, where turn over two bad shots, you know, a
charge, everything is going to be, I mean, they'd be tough.
It's the Eastern Conference.
If they get, you know, Chris, they should be top three.
So even without CPT right now, as it stands with this roster right now.
And it's still wild. Then none. We're gonna stick to it.
And it's still wild.
Then none of that five minutes even matter because.
The top 16.
Yeah, top six, top seven.
Top 16 without Chris Paul.
Wild, then you got Kevin Porter.
Like he's just gonna be doing what Kuzma gonna be doing,
what Kuzma do.
Yonis is gonna be Yonis.
Yeah, we need some type of structure.
We need some type of structure.
What's in the East?
We need structure, man.
But I'm just saying, you'll lose Kansas. You wouldn't wanna lose. We need structure right now. need some type of structure. What's in the East we need structure
You got you wouldn't want to lose we need structure right now there any structure Yeah, we need structure bad seriously because and I think they got the Hawks making move
That will put structure in the game. No
If there were I hate to do if Dane wasn't hurt with that traded him this summer
If Dane wasn't hurt, would they have traded him this summer?
Say that again? No, I mean, if it wasn't hurt, then he would have been playing
and it could have been, we don't know.
How y'all think Dane feel about this?
I know that's-
Excited.
If I'm Dane, I'm happy.
He's happy as hell.
I mean, I'm still getting my money
and now I can pick where I want to go.
Sean, how do you think Dane feels?
I think we all agree. He's elated.
22 million for the next five years.
The word that he used.
To not live in Milwaukee.
He's extremely excited about this.
I think so.
And you know it's a buyout.
I'll give you 22 million for the next five years
and you just don't have to live in Milwaukee.
I don't know he happy about getting his money,
but Dane never seen this happen
and said, Dane, getting waved and all that
Nobody's seeing getting waved for all your money
Usually it's a buyout and me you gotta negotiate
You gotta usually negotiate for a buyout right that means like if you owe me 120 what 125
113 now I gotta try to figure out how much I'm gonna give you back, like 95 and all that.
No, no, no, no, he gets to wake up.
He gets to wake up all 113
and then he can sign a new deal for extra money.
What I say yesterday, Nick.
I was like, Nick, what I said in the last day.
I'm like, no, I don't like that number.
Like, no, I don't like that number.
I don't like that number.
I don't like that number I don't like that number
you know like that number neither like so what number you like my number
like that number right there I'll take that one
I don't hey man hey listen hey man buyout then sign this motherfucker together
listen you see are you watching me on that contract me and buyout then sign this motherfucker together. Listen, this on A. Nick, are you watching this? Nick, there's only one name on that contract.
Me and Buyout then sign this motherfucker together.
My name.
He's extremely happy.
You can tell he ain't wanna be in Milwaukee anyway.
God damn it, listen, we not doing none of that.
Thank you, it's in the choir city.
Oh my.
Look, that was an agreement they reached.
Yeah, I need a.
They reached that.
Look, let me go somewhere and y'all gonna give me my money.
He like, gotcha.
He go to Miami.
So he gonna take somebody, he gonna give him his money?
That's where he's going.
He like, good bridge. What do you mean? He's going to Miami. So that was my next question. He's going, you're gonna give me my money. He like, cops. He's going to Miami. He's gonna take somebody, he gonna give him his money. That's where he's like, good brief. What do you mean?
He's going to Miami.
So that was my next question.
He's going to Miami.
Do you think David loves Miami as much as Pierre Pryor?
Not right now.
What?
Or can you make a move back to the back?
He's only going for zero for the O.
He's clear to go, his homie's clear to go.
He only wants to go for Jimmy, though.
No, he can't.
I think he'll just sit right now
and then see what the layout is
and then sign someone in February. He needs, yeah, whatever it is. He's just chill right now to do his rehab and you sign someone
Huh who playing well, what can I go fit in?
She says I'm getting my bread this year. Hey, you don't need a vet
British
I don't like the fact that I'm out the league. That's what it is
Me I need a home like I I need to work my jacket around I don't think you have you right now
In a good place. Oh, yeah, I get the pic you get all your money and pick where you want to go
This is what ace Bailey was trying to do. Yeah, get his money
It's willing to take a discount this
First time is career you could do it
to take a discount. This is the first time in his career he can do it. Now you literally get to sit back the beginning, because you're rehabbing, the
beginning of the year and sit there and do one of these. Yeah.
Whatever he signs is extra money, there's extra money like his
contract is with his contract so he's making more money now because whatever
he signs for is added so basically
he got a listen nick he got a five year 113 million dollar deal here
to do shit to kill somebody's
i'm good he's out the league so let me put you you in Dame's position now. You got 5 years under 13 million.
Let people forget about you. You got 5 years under 13 million guaranteed. Do you spend this season ring chasing?
One year deal. Go to OKC. Go somewhere that has the potential to win a ring and then figure it out beyond that or do you try to get somewhere else?
So what did we say was first? You do what first?
Get your money.
Get your money.
And then what was second?
Ring.
So therefore you answer your own question.
They gave me my money.
Josiah.
Josiah, you answer your own question.
There we go.
OKC would be a prime destination for you.
I'm signing every February.
They ain't coming up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
OKC.
Every February, what's up?
I'm not doing nothing. One year, one year. I'm not doing up? I'm not doing all that.
I'm not doing all that.
I'm not doing all that.
Houston, what y'all talking about?
What y'all got going on over there?
Y'all say y'all got it.
See, I'm not doing all that.
I'm free.
Where can they come and start, right?
Houston?
Orlando?
Is it about starting though right now?
What I'm saying-
No, he can't start in Houston.
Definitely Orlando.
When he comes back, once he comes back, no, once he comes back and
they start next year and he done healed, is him and Fred.
Yeah.
Okay.
You gotta play defense for that coach.
The best defense is a good offense.
Sacramento.
So you gonna send him to the grave, so you just gonna throw the dirt on him? I'm just looking at places.
So you just gonna throw the dirt on him?
They just signed Dennis.
So you just gonna put the dirt on him in Sacramento?
I was just throwing some shit out there.
You gonna send the grave yard and put the dirt on him?
Might as well bury him.
Minnesota.
That's what you're doing sending him there.
Minnesota?
Now you're talking an interesting concept right there.
That's how Mike Conley.
That's how Mike Finley got his ring, right?
He got that ring like that too, right?
Just like that.
San Antonio, when he got the back in Minnesota.
He was like, what's going on in Minnesota?
Got Amnesty out.
And he was, you think he like Conley?
You think he gonna look like, he gonna look like Mike Conley?
Oh, I was just dang.
35 would be 36.
Yeah, 35, yeah.
Or 34, he'll be 35 in two weeks off Achilles at 36
You know how long does guy how long does they play then
That one year rehab gonna be shit at 37 Yeah, I love it. Hey, man. In theory, at least another five years. That's $22 million a buck. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
That's something I'm not...
That one year of rehab is going to be some shit at 37.
What?
He's going to be swelling up out of nowhere.
He's 34.
He's going to be 35.
So if he's an injury in man, 34 is about to be 35 in two weeks.
So yeah, he got some time.
He got another year and a half.
He's going to be 35.
He...
How would y'all feel if Dane went to the Warriors to play with Steph back to his home? That's 36-37 right there.
And that's, that's, that Kiwis put three years on you.
No, that's our era.
That's new man.
That's old man.
Gore?
Yeah, not this, not this era.
But he don't, no, no, no, no, no.
So it's two injuries, right?
Hey, but remember, he don't jump, man.
It's two plays, he don't jump off one foot.
It's a tearing eruption, right?
Yep, off two. So what if Dane, he don't lose nothing? He got And run, run, run. But remember, he don't jump. It's two ways to get a go. It's a tearing eruption, right?
Yeah, it's off two.
So what did Dane do?
He don't lose nothing.
He had an eruption.
Oh, damn.
So he got a year out.
He's a whole year out.
Shit.
Achilles affect your upper band.
It affects up.
The whole shebang.
It don't affect running.
It affects jumping.
I know, but did he look like Dane from Portland and Milwaukee?
The thing is, it's already come.
But he don't rely on athleticism.
He'll be coming down there.
Dane was dunking on me.
He's like KD. He don't rely on that.
It's more shooting in things than speed and athleticism.
So I think he'll be okay after, but we'll see.
But no, it's very interesting.
Like Marlo said, one of those good problems.
Good problem to have, I got five years to figure it out.
No.
Shit, shit, shit.
I got three months.
I got a few months to figure it out.
You see what I did?
I was figuring it out.
I got a little confidence.
This is a nice ass thing.
You ain't gonna lie.
Just be honest.
Lookin' for the herring, boy.
You ain't gonna lie.
Once in like six months, once in like six, eight months go by,
it's hard to done got a whole bunch of checks to sit on the couch
to then say, hey man, we got, We got add on, we got 100,000 for you a month
to come on over here, you can fly.
And to add on to it, right?
But to add on to it what he's doing.
He want that, he want that.
This happens, he's spending more time
with his kids now, bruh.
Yep, start seeing shit you ain't seen before.
Taking them to school, picking them all this shit, it matters, dog. Yeah, start seeing shit you ain't seen before. Taking him to school, picking him, all this shit
matters all, come routine and that shit.
All this work, man, when you're making the King's ransom
for doing nothing.
I gotta go hang out with my kids.
Man, somebody come get you.
Somebody come get you.
Somebody come get you.
That's like after a year and a half.
Y'all better come stop me.
I'm about to say, you're gonna miss that role.
That's how I bring it to you. He's single. He's single. I know, I'm single. He ain't gonna miss it. The role going to miss that road. That's how you single single.
I know I'm saying the road get to come to him.
Yeah.
You missed the road.
I did not.
He gonna play again.
I'm just saying this that road.
We will see where Dame is up.
Let's shift back to the Yana to the books.
We talked about Yana's if you should be happy or not with the moves of Bucks, may we ask the chat have the Bucks done
enough to keep Yonis happy? 83% of the chat says no. Damn. I think they could trade. They could make
a trade. Yonis would look really good in the Lakers. You need somebody at that wall. That's cool man.
Little firecrackers in the back. You need somebody at that wall. Fireworks in the arena and around the NBA. So just back to how the Bucks did Dame.
I just saw it.
What's up?
Good graphic.
Sexton, Colin Sexton.
Who did somebody like that?
No, he went to...
Where'd he go?
Oh, he got Trayvon?
You talked to him.
He's the Hornets.
He and the Hornets was the Hornets.
Got Trayvon.
Jay Z to the New York.
So in terms of how the Bucks did Dame, where does waving Dame rank in terms of the coldest moves you've seen a franchise do
That's I mean that's not bad
Very warm move
Yeah, they both agreed and they both worked out for both team
Yeah, so good for both parties in this all his money. Yeah, he got all his money
The Bucks was able to get somebody.
Oh, and he can go where he want to go.
And some.
I say this is that's the American dream.
I know you got to say this is what I know.
You got to put this money in.
You got to say it.
Appreciate it.
What is this?
What is this ranking?
Good.
Good.
Not bad.
What is this rank in terms of the warmest moves you see in an NBA?
What's going to get in the email?
I'm doctoring that motherfucker right now. What is the way they rank in terms of the warmest moves you've seen in the NBA. What's gonna get an email? I'm doctor sign that motherfucker right now? Right now, bro.
Damn right, in terms of the warmest moves
you've seen a friend touch.
This is probably up there with top five best moves
that can happen for a player.
I'm gonna pay you five.
Because you gotta remember, whatever, like, you know Shay?
Bro, he just signed a deal.
He gotta play for that.
He does?
Go ask John Wall how that shit.
I know he wanted to play, but go ask him.
40-40 this year, 42 this year, 44 this year, 46 this year.
To do absolutely nothing.
Come on, man.
It's like hitting the lottery.
This is literally hitting the lottery.
45, 47.
$42 million, 40, 46.
Like I said, he wanted to play, yes.
I have to prove it.
No, I said no.
He wanted to play.
I don't want to play.
Bust.
Stop.
It's in his eyes.
But if, oh cool, I want to play too,
but you give me, listen.
How much did we get?
Oh, okay.
Is it over you? 22 million a year for nine, five, five years. but you give you listen
That's what they owe on top of the contract but they can probably extend it how they want to
Five years 22 you can pay five years 22 million dollars to not live in Milwaukee.. But who got the best deal ever is Bobby Bonilla.
On Bobby Bonilla Day?
Listen, Jack.
That's baseball, right?
Baseball.
How many more?
God damn.
Every July 1st, you get a check.
He ain't picked up a bat since Weinstein.
What's the year?
Give us the year.
2001.
This man ain't picked up a baseball bat since 2001
And he has been getting paid up
You talk about a deal. I black mine stopped
2016 okay talking about a deal
You make it me listen one point one nine million dollars every July 1st. That's my part for next in the morning
the Portland owner
They didn't do good by then. He'll be 72 years old
Portland it was a difference a whole different little field
But now I think Milwaukee done right by them important
No, I did him in the owner was riffing at the end owner GM Joe Cronin
He didn't want he didn't want Dame by the team and then of that. So instead Dame where he wanted to go right?
So Dame Dame think about that happening twice today and then
traded drew holiday to the so that's a that's a great move
by the ownership to actually do it that way just so he don't
have that residual following him or thinking that it was him
the whole time and you know, he had a career what he did in
Portland.
Now he gets you know, figure out what he want to do now
get all his money it's a great move from both sides that's
we always bash the other side. He didn't want to go to Miami. Yeah let's just say he had a if he had
workout the day for his his Achilles I got 1000% for sure he he didn't show up.
It goes that fast I don't think he just got hurt. No, no, I'm just saying, you know, he got rehab. It's Tuesday.
He woke up, was like, hey man.
All right, man, look.
He didn't know, right?
Yeah, all right, man, look. I'm about to...
It's July weekend.
Yeah, man, I'm gonna go ahead and tell you. I'll see you Monday, man.
I'm about to go to St. Martin's.
Nah.
Buy up a PJ, baby.
Word.
Tell him six hoes, man, when you go to St. Martin's.
Five to PJ, baby.
Six honorable women.
Private.
I'm going to go high.
Shout out Bobby Bonilla.
Come on, name post how you really feel.
Bobby Bonilla.
Nah, he Can't do it
Take this bread and leave all right well
Let's see this movement since we're talking about bread like you like you mentioned SGA a lot of bread coming
But he actually has to show up to work to get his bread so Shay Gillis Alexander coming off a season where he swept all
the awards
MVP Western Conference finals MVP and finals MVP in addition to a scoring title so to the victor go the spoils SGA agreed to a maximum four-year 285 million
dollar extension with the Thunder that will keep them in OKC until the 2030-31
season. So SGA's contract has an average annual value of 71.25 million
dollars per season which is the richest in NBA history.
God damn.
Beautiful moment.
But when you look at this, what's left for SGA to achieve in the NBA?
Fuck.
More money, more time.
71.
His second extension with the Thunder.
71.
I mean, well deserved.
For sure.
That's what happens when you win, boy.
That's what happens when you win. You. That's what happens when you win, boy.
Shout out to Bond Alexander as well for breeding an MVP and for shooting at that.
Yeah, I'm gonna say, we dominated the whole year. Thank you. Did everything and won.
Just want to take a moment for SGA. All I do is win, win. We should be playing that song.
moment for SGA? All I do is win, win.
We should be playing that song shit.
I ain't never seen no shit like this.
Win MVP, finals MVP, championship, 71 a year.
All in one year.
God love him something.
God does love SGA.
He stays consistent.
Man, he got the right white woman.
I love him.
I told you.
The one that don't argue with him.
Why y'all don't listen to me?
You don't listen.
I think she had black.
You don't listen.
You don't listen at all.
I got like 10%.
It's like her granddaddy, granddaddy.
Yeah, like Quincey Jones.
Like Quincey Jones.
She played all the white movies with your No, I think her daddy's black.
No, I think her daddy's black.
Yeah, daddy's black.
He was in her life.
Papa was a rolling stone, man.
Papa was a rolling stone.
But he was in her life.
We don't know if she's black.
That matters.
She don't know what she is.
No, that matters.
Girl of sinners.
No, no, no, that matters.
She's his wife.
That's what she said.
I'm your mother.
You got him in your life.
It matters.
You're all sweaters.
Get that man a big piece of chicken, she know.
Yes.
Focus on basketball, I got the rest of this shit.
I take any.
Not amply seasoned, but nonetheless.
You tell me you ain't got no outside stress.
Woo, what?
No home, no inside stress.
Come home.
Walk your sister in there.
So what is SGA's super back extension?
We can do it all together.
We used to come in with scratches.
We almost got killed on the freeway with me.
Right?
Damn, brother.
Living rough.
We were super weird.
I wish I could have came home.
I didn't cheat enough.
That caught the pressure.
I was cheating every road trip.
It was Thanksgiving together.
No, we did.
Just the two of us.
You guys, Thanksgiving was just the two of us.
We ain't never been that happy. What?
It was just the two of you together Thanksgiving.
So then when you getting scratched on that side, you getting damn here.
Y'all was, huh?
Yes sir, he getting scratched on his side.
We damn near getting killed on the freeway,
run off, hit bop bop on the freeway.
Right. Yeah.
When Thanksgiving come, hey man,
I got all this food, what you wanna do with it?
Let's eat man.
Let's be together man.
Pfft.
Thank you Lord.
Thank you Lord. You have two brothers that came together. What I do with it together
We had three cakes
But what does this mean for the Thunder's championship window moving forward? They got the MVP locked in. It's just looking very, very.
Yeah, it does.
Hey, there's a light at the end of the tunnel, they tunnel short.
And there ain't a train coming.
It's they glistening, bruh.
Hey, I ain't moving forward.
They listen, bruh.
Hey, I ain't moving forward.
Team friendly, man, like.
I think it saves a couple million. Yeah, a couple hundred.
Now we're like, per million a year.
A lot of hundred?
What?
A hundred?
No, I think the way it'll break down,
he'll obviously be eligible for another extension
now sooner, but.
I'll be out here sooner.
Cause he didn't sign next summer.
Yeah, you're so good. Because he didn't sign next summer.
That helps chat.
Now you just got to seal down the other two.
Yeah, that helps chat.
So you go all in with that big three,
and then obviously when it gets to that point,
not going to be there for a little bit, but figure out the rest.
You see the gaps.
But what you got already, you ain't got to change much, man.
You got to change some pieces because somebody
will get somebody else some money. Of course, especially ain't got to change much, man. You got to change some pieces because somebody's going to get somebody else some money.
Of course, especially if they go back to back, it's just going to be tough to keep it as
is.
But you can, they ain't going to be able to keep the top nine.
You know what I'm saying?
It's going to be hard to keep the top three.
I mean, I think Lou Dort is probably the one that's going to have to, he's going to have
to take that hassle. He's going to have to take that, yeah,... He's gonna have to take that Hazel.
He's gonna have to take that...
If he wants to stay there,
because you got Chet, you got, you know,
Williams up,
and they're gonna have to sign a rookie extension.
Both of them gonna be looking for Mac.
So, Thunder have Dork for two more years.
They got a team option next summer.
What's that football should they do?
Oh next summer, yeah.
Because all this money we're going to kick in next summer, right?
Team off for Hardenstein, team off for Lew Dork, team off for Kendrick Williams.
You got Wiggins?
Huh?
The shooter off the bench that was hitting all those shots.
Wait, man, you never answered this question.
What was that?
You asked me questions?
What is that you can invest into the team?
What is that?
What is that?
Nobody has explained that yet.
With the CBA?
Yes.
With the new one?
Yes.
Where you can invest in the team.
What does that option look like? With the contract new one? Yes. Where you can invest in the team. Like, what does that option look like?
With the contract, right?
Don't know, couldn't tell you, Killa.
Thanks.
Let me look it up for you.
That's a real thing.
Yeah, that's something.
Like, what is it?
So it allows NBA players to invest
in both NBA and WNBA teams, but with specific limitations
to ensure competitive integrity and prevent undue influence
on team operations.
competitive integrity and prevent undue influence on team operations. So that can be negotiated through most likely loophole.
I can negotiate that through my contract.
So they can invest in teams, in NBA teams through approved investment funds and they
can invest in WNBA teams not currently owned by NBA owners.
Okay, okay cool.
Now let's say one of them young boys, one of them young boys
decide I want to take half my money and then the other half put it into the Bucks organization.
Not Bucks. You can't do that, I mean not the Bucks, I'm sorry. Thunder, right? I go into the
thunder. But I can do that, right? I think it's through the union.
That's what I'm saying.
It's kind of a, you put it in an equity fund.
I'm investing in this team specifically.
It's in like an account where it's invested for.
Sort of like a trust and so.
Yeah, so they're not giving you a little piece of the team.
It's not like that.
I think it's through the union
and you can invest in an equity fund.
So basically this doesn't help any of the teams there
because they can't use it against their cap.
No, I get it.
They won't sell you.
Oh, I was about to say the problem.
It's an opportunity for the players to make money.
Is that what it is?
Yes.
It's another opportunity to make money.
But you can't use your contract money.
You got to use your money in your bank account.
Alright, give it to me first.
Well, it comes there.
Transfer.
I'll catch you next year.
Transfer.
Frontload this thing.
Thank you.
Okay.
Once again, shout out SGA, getting the back.
285.
That's what I was trying to figure out.
There can be some loopholes, you can use that.
85 and what?
Over four years.
Loopholes. So, that 85 over four years. So
Kicks in next season
The thunder will have some decisions to make down the road not sweating anytime so
They're good again good problems that coming off a chip
Chance great chance to go back to back man. I did all that and then got paid super paid
As a free agent. Yeah, so they gotta win six day games next year?
No, he's still, I mean,
he got Jaylen Brown and Tatum who both signed
the super maxes, I believe.
After they won the championship, right?
Yeah, and back to back summers,
and then obviously something.
But he wasn't MVP finals MVP, he was all that too?
It don't matter.
No, before he signed before.
Max is max.
No, like he didn't get extra for it.
He did everything.
Tatum signed last summer, he didn't get extra for it. He get everything. Tatum signed last summer, he didn't get extra.
That's what I'm saying, he got everything
like you dreamed of in one year.
Yeah, yeah.
Think about it.
That's what comes with the game.
All the money, MVP, championships, finals, MVP.
First team, fucking the number one team, like everything.
Just all he need is just call 2K right now
and say, man, I want to be on the cover.
I got to be on 100?
Oh, they're going to call him.
Yeah, yeah, let me be on the cover.
This year, this year.
You got to be the first one.
Oh, yeah.
Well, as I say, God is good.
Is he 99?
No.
He's not 99 on the game?
98 is the highest you can get.
We will see.
All right, well, let's keep this in the Western Conference. I'll push off of MJ. Houston Rockets have been busy over the last two weeks. So on
the eve of game seven of the finals, news of the Kevin Durant trade broke.
Since then they've agreed to extensions with head coach Emea Adoka, Stephen
Adams, and Jabari Smith Jr. signed a five-year, $122 million rookie extension.
Resigned Fred Van Vliet after they had the team option worked out a deal with
him best he spread that over two years so that Rockets had a team option on
Vanfleet uh-huh so you know made it a two year
oh how much he was making he was gonna make like 43 or something so it's
basically same 40 and then it just sprinkle a little bit more on it. Okay, a little bit more spread it on two.
Okay, Fred, I got money on you.
Take that.
That's it.
I'll fuck with you, Fred.
But now in the last 24 hours, they've agreed to terms with free agent center Click Capello on a three-year, $22 million deal.
And for Dorian Finney Smith, also known during his Lakers time as Black and Milds,
to a four-year, $53 million deal. And for during finish Smith also known during his Lakers time as black and milds
Before your 53 million dollar do
You can't take a nickname with him dog also known during his later time
During his Laker time. Oh, that was his later. I'm trying to fuck
Fuck him. He's not part of this
Well, technically technically
Technically, I got me some Houston shit just against I need to jump ship, you know, I'm ready ready, right? So, you know, you know got no black and just call them black
It's called a black just called him black. His name is just Dorian miles
He's just mild
No more black and mild in La La Land. The Lakers shot.
But looking at what the Rockets have done this offseason, how would you grade the Rockets offseason moves?
We're going to start with you Mr. B.
Charles, are you going to raise your hand?
No.
You got it any time.
Are we going to come back to the black and mild thing?
You can talk black and mild.
Yeah, go ahead.
No, I'm just talking about what they did to them. Yeah, what the Lakers did to their reports are awful
You wasn't gonna talk about that
Talk about what the Lakers
But Rob Blake was calling around his knee was fucked up
And then they team found out about it. Wow.
That's why they signed him.
Bad wheel y'all.
You don't even want him dog.
You might want this.
They ain't put this in the car facts.
Here you go.
You really gotta let me.
You really gotta let me.
You really gotta let me.
There you go.
Damn. You really gotta let me. Y really gotta let me. Damn.
You really gotta let me.
Y'all don't even want him, man. Just let him stay.
He cool, man. We're gonna pay him less.
We're gonna pay him less anyway.
I wouldn't pay him that. That nigga need fuck.
Come on, man. Don't do that, dude.
You can have him if you want to.
Come on, man.
But yeah, Dorian Phinney Smith, like I said,
$43 million deal, opted out of the final year of
his Lakers contract.
They do know the Aaron Fox. Hey, why is he on the mark? Why
y'all don't know? I remember Darren Fox came in when I said
that's what they do. And I said he wasn't going, he wasn't
gonna get that all NBA team. No, it's not in their best
interest. So I'm gonna pay whoever, say whatever,
not to vote for you, that's what they do.
It's cold.
Daddy just got called.
He just got called to see what they do behind the scenes.
They've been doing it.
If I wanna keep my product,
I'm gonna say whatever I need for it
to be given the way I want it just like JJJ
Hey, I don't need you making 350. I want you at 250. So I'm gonna say hey, I'll pay every listen
I'll pay every reporter 500 thousand a million extra just don't vote for him. I
Don't need him to make that team. Isn't that collusion? Yeah! Well, the NFL just got caught up.
Wait, isn't that what?
With the Lamar Jackson situation.
I mean, it's just hard to prove collusion, man.
Yeah.
I've been in there.
I've been there.
I've been there.
You don't want him.
I've been there trying to figure out, what the fuck
are they saying back there?
I can't get no calls back.
I don't know what's going on.
You keep giving me all these fucking excuses and shit
Just trying to figure out why I can't get no fucking workouts They told everybody the whole league don't answer no fucking calls
Yeah, you think the GMs are all in a group test and if so, who's the green bubbling?
It's a group one the government is doing.
Just random saying shit about players.
Don't even touch that motherfucker.
I wouldn't touch that motherfucker with a slowpoke.
Free agent, we looking at their phone.
Hey, call my phone and see if it still works.
Nothing. It works.
It works.
I ain't getting nothing. No offers, no nothing.
You start seeing motherfuckers get signed.
He's like, damn.
Damn.
Are they calling you?
No?
All right.
Yeah.
They be doing that, man.
Our producer of the East Coast High.
Nico Erson is the green bubble.
The green bubble, Nico.
Nico the green bubble.
What y'all need?
But back to the Rockets, like I said, a lot of moves.
KD, Black and Mob, previously known as.
Back to Dory, Steven Adams, he made a dope lock up.
A. Fred Van Vliet.
A. You're giving the Rockets A.
A. For their offseason move.
A plus.
A plus plus. Two double.
So what's their potential starting line up first
before you think?
Don't even matter.
Don't even matter.
KD, Black and Mild.
What out they line up?
The same lineup they had last year was number two.
A, Thomas, KD.
No, it was they took care of their coach.
Thompson, Brooks, family group.
Now I'm talking about now.
It's going to be A, Thompson, Brooks, and now I'm talking about now it's gonna be a Thompson, KD, Van Vliet, the center, the little joker, and who's the powerful?
Jabari? With Capella, Steven Adams on the bench,
Tari Easton, Cam Wimor, Jayshon Tate resigned, Dame Lillard potentially, Tari Easton.
You got the number on what he signed for? Yeah.
You got the number for what he signed for?
I think it's two for 50 or something like that, but let me double check.
Two for 50.
Yeah, they had it with about five, about eight more million dollars to it and just spread
it on two years.
So he had one year 40 left and they just had it like-
They should be the favorites.
They had like 10 more million.
Is it a- Yeah, he had a 45 million dollar team option
They gave him five million as a team option
The Rockets had a team option for him for 45 million they declined the team option gave him two for 50
So basically like we're gonna decline this unless you're ready to talk
So he took five more million to extend that. He couldn't get, he could have got more than that somewhere else.
Two year 50. I mean, this economy.
But why would you leave?
But why would you leave?
I'm just saying.
But why would you leave?
If you could get more money than some of us,
but why would you leave?
You don't have your championship ring.
Possibly go get you another one, why would you leave?
Best situation for him. Get your ass right where you at.
So moving on to Mr. B,
how would you grade the Rockets offseason moves thus far?
I'm gonna go the same, A, A plus, A.
So you'll say A plus plus, are you going A or A plus?
I'm gonna go A.
Okay.
I like the fact that we signed the codes to care the codes.
They got KD, a guy that can get 27 tonight and you still got your young
pieces. So you know if you're trying to compete for a championship and you're
trying to move forward, having a guy like KD, a guy that just likes to hoop and
you know he's gonna a lot of things that they can learn from him I think is gonna
benefit them. Let's shift over to you Canyon. How would you grade the Rockets
offseason moves thus far? A plus. A plus.
Damn.
No, you locked your coach up, who you believe in.
You was the second seed last year.
You can only, you're looking up at one team.
They won it.
Think you got better with your roster, everybody.
So I'm...
It is a lot better.
Yeah, it does.
That's another year playing for him,
another understanding, and you add that plug and play player man and it's it's a recipe
for success. So barring injury, everybody's healthy. Yeah, we all know
winning is a learned behavior. I think they got a taste of it last year.
Yeah, you bring a winner in in KD.
Dory and Fannie Smith helps.
So you replace what you lost in Dillon Brooks for his defense and
been able to guard multiple positions.
So now, yeah, it's, yeah.
All right, let's move over to Money Making Sonny.
How would you grade the Rockets off-season moves?
As Swaggy walks past the camera. It's okay.
We are a live show.
Y'all gotta do what y'all gotta do.
I'm drinking water.
A with a triple.
A with a triple A.
It makes them extremely dangerous now.
I mean, the thing that they did miss was a guy who could
slow the ball down, slow the game down, crunch time, take
good shots, be efficient with those shots.
They was missing that leadership as far as a vet
that can actually show them outside of Van Vliet that
execution is important.
I think they were playing hero ball at certain points where
he couldn't get them under control.
I think somebody like KD, he's going to get respect
immediately just because of the resume and legacy.
But I think his proven track record is consistency and
efficiency and being able to know that in crunch time
moments, give me the ball, y'all don't have to worry about none.
I don't think they ever had those type of options.
That puts them kind of over the top.
If you really think about them being number two all year
with Jalen Green, him not knowing what to do
in those positions, KD's season vet,
it's an opportunity for him to really ride off in the sunset
and try to get him one with this type of team.
Maybe his best opportunity is obviously
in his movement from the Warriors.
What Allstate does, it allows,
because they're number one options, the IPC.
They're going to play through him.
And what happened, KD out there, you can't double.
He gets to play one-on-one now.
You put Thompson in the dunker.
You put Jabari,ari's a spacer.
I mean, he's a slash, Thompson kid is a slash.
You put him in the dunker at times.
But Sangoon gets to play one on one.
So Fred makes shots, Jabari makes shots, KD makes shots,
and you put Dory and Finney makes shots.
So you put people around that can make shots.
Use of dangerous.
Swanky, let's move on to you. How would you grade the Rockets off season?
I would say, you know, at first I wasn't fun on this team,
but now I give them an A plus, you know.
I like the mentality of putting the ring before the, you know,
taking the pay cut, Van Fleet taking the pay cut just to try
to win the championship.
He already has a ring.
Wait a minute.
He took a pay cut.
Did he?
Little circle.
He got five minutes.
Little circle.
He didn't really have an option in this.
Holy shit.
Yeah.
Don't do that, man.
Don't do that.
Don't just do that.
There's nothing to do. He just did it. No, he did that. There's nothing to do. He just did it.
No, he did not. There's nothing to do.
It was a team option.
It was a team option.
Can I get a shot?
The team said you're not getting this bread.
He wanted to play option.
He said full circle.
No, it's not a full circle.
He could have got more.
Y'all reach him.
He took a pay cut?
No, y'all reach him.
All right, man.
Come on, man.
Don't do that, man.
A forced pay cut if you... Y'all reach him. Come on man, you don't know that man. A forced pay cut if you
reachin now, your arms ain't that long. Yeah, not a seven foot wingspan.
I got you, I got you. So what makes y'all think he took a pay cut? Nothing.
Nothing.
I don't want to get into that.
I'm just asking because he's not,
since y'all, since your man reached it,
I just want to know what makes y'all think he took a pay cut?
There was some key king.
I just, real question.
Because if y'all think he took a pay cut.
What was his last contract?
I think it was like a three for one, 31, 40,
but team option in the final year.
OK.
So what was that team option?
For 40? 45 million.
He only got five more million?
For two more years.
The team option, not a player option, team.
So the team could have decided what they wanted to do.
You don't think Kevin Durant's worth more?
We're not talking about Kevin Durant.
See, the fuck is, how he getting this conversation?
We talking about Fred.
We talking about Fred Van Vliet.
We not talking about Kevin Durant.
So, so once again.
So we're not talking about Kevin Durant.
No, we're not talking about him.
Once again, so y'all want to reach.
What you want, 40 and 1 and be a free agent or?
No, it's.
No, that's it.
What's the world?
Basically, you're old 40 million.
45.
And I'm saying, as an owner, I don't want you for $40 million.
For 45.
And I can say, OK, I'll go be a free agent.
Go be a free agent.
Now you got to go get a contract.
Yeah, and I guarantee I could get one.
Sign the three.
$40 million for one year.
I could get more than what I'm going to get.
You want to go get 45.
40 million for one year.
All right, now we're going to have Van Fleet.
Red Van Fleet?
No. 40 million for one season? 45 for one go get 45
40 million for one 45
It was a team option, you know, he said two years ago
No, he had a team option with the rocket
If nothing happens, he could have got 45 they threw it out
The rock is here The Rockets decline that team up one somewhere got 46 45 they threw it out
The Rock is to climb that team up
46 the team said we know we don't want you for 45 million for one year and he could have been a free He would have been a free agent. They split that so now you got 50 for two years 50 for two. Yes
So instead of making 45 he's making 25. So you got to the team. So it's like 46. So the team is like,
he was the free.
He said player option on Ben's Lee second.
He was on market right now.
He just got 25.
Oh, so he more or less lost 20.
He lost 20 million.
Nick, he was on the market.
He got 25.
You think he would have got more than 45?
He thought he got one year for 45 million.
46.
He said more.
He said more.
Come on.
So who's gonna pick?
He said,
I asked contract with what? So he would have got 48. 3 for 129. He said more. Come on, Aaron.
So who's gonna pay?
He said more.
So he would have got 48 million.
Three for $129 million.
46 million.
Yeah.
Who has more than $1 million?
One million more dollars than 45 or 46.
No one has more than $46 million to give Fred.
Who out there has 46 million?
He could have got more than that.
Who?
For sure.
Who where?
Everywhere.
Who where?
Where?
Everywhere would not be an option for him.
Who got money?
For point guards.
For point guards?
Who can't get money for everybody, right?
There's 29 other teams.
Brooklyn Nets, the only team that has money.
Tell us who, Nick.
Brooklyn Nets?
Who just got paid?
Miles Turner's got what?
One something?
107.
They had to cut, so he couldn't go there?
They had to cut, dang.
They had to cut.
What do Minnesota do?
Do Minnesota need a point guard?
They can't afford it.
Free for 100 for Julie, 5 for 125.
No, what I'm saying is they don't have it
You know like if he thought he had the money out there here to win
But there's nobody who has that type of money for him in free agency, but what if you wanted to stay?
Miami I mean you got to think about if he
Team did not did the team denied it the option team options
So the team declined his option not a option. So it was a team option.
So the team declined his option.
Not a player.
So you can go be a free agent
or you can take this two for 50.
Stay in Houston, keep all your stuff in this box.
Stay here or we go good luck out there in the open market.
And he took the two for 50 so he'd know.
Cause the market fucked up right now.
This year is a little off.
This year is off, next year,
this is a different story but right now,
for what they are.
Point guards, it's points.
Number two, what was his numbers?
It was a smart move for him.
Nobody need point guards.
For 46 million?
For 46 million dollars.
Nobody need point guards, man, I wanna prove.
Garland is 39.
So if they pick up that option, what happens?
Vampe fleet averaged 14, 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
But do they trade him?
Do they move him?
Who's going to trade for 45 million friends?
With a multi-team, you can move people.
They can't sign Jabari.
They can't go sign Clint Capella.
They couldn't have signed this group just now.
They couldn't have signed none of them.
They couldn't have signed Black and Mild.
They couldn't have got none of them.
But nobody's taking that 45 million. that's what y'all missing here
Right know if they sign him they don't
That's why it was a team option, but if he would have stayed in wherever you said
That's why it was a team option in the last year when the playoff even have nothing on the market
You're missing
Take a straight about 45
I'm 45 million, I'm talking about a straight? Think about it, 45 million?
Think about it, 45 million, I gotta pay you 45 just at a KD.
That means I can't sign for that expiring contract.
The three people they just signed.
Oh, not 45.
That's too much.
That's a lot of money.
That's a whole lot.
So what if it's the same thing with this team?
Yeah, so I'm saying I'm not gonna give you this money, what do you got?
We'll get the 2.6, it's a team though.
Cause then he'll have to play out that one year and then...
No, no, this year's not given to you. Walk. Because it's business-wise. It's a Lebron. And then what they got? 16 because then you have to play out that one year and then no
Walk because it's business
Walk
If you still want to be the point guard here how much you gonna take
Forcing you to do Van Fleet average 14 and 6 last season
14 and 6 14 to 6 or for $45 million? Nobody won't.
That's dope dog food.
Rough grand fleet.
Nobody's saying that for $46 million.
I'm saying, won't you listen to all 48 million?
Not in $45 million, dawg.
Signing trades.
They didn't want him for $40 million. Obviously, they didn't want him for $46 million.
What'd they sign him for?
Back then.
But it had the team option on it. He signed that three-year You averaged 46. Back then. I needed it.
Back then.
That's why we team up.
But it had the team option on it.
He signed that three-year deal with the Rockets, 2023.
How many times did he get 40?
So I figured with the number breakdown, but he got two seasons of that bread.
40.
Yeah, yeah.
And then the team option.
I had all the money two years ago.
If I signed him, I signed Dillon Brooks, right?
That was...
So you really kind of owed me 46.
45 million.
No, no. You owe me shit.? Oh, no, you're all you shit
I gave it to you. We gave you 50 for two you gave me. Yeah, you gave me your 46
Remember this is when was it two years ago when we signed?
What was his name?
Three letter we ain't seen him since he left my name that gave
Yeah, that's that that summer when Gabe just got money. We
But no time out go cuz you said gave three letters, but you were thinking Sam as the name
You learned his name
It was that it was that it was that it was that some are just like whoa getting money
Yeah, Vincent
Got Fred
Better would have shared it. That's why you never gave me a grade for the Rockets offseason game a plus
Okay, there's a lot going on before that
Yeah favorite so the first time in the couch history you all agreed. Rockets got an A or higher on their offseason moves.
I think they will be a dominant force in the Western Conference, potentially competing
with the Thunder to go with the finals.
Let's talk about the Rockets, one of their newest additions.
So LeBron released a new episode of his Mind the Game podcast today, and the special guest
was Kevin Durant.
Braun took the time to give KD his proper flowers
in front of the world.
Let's take a listen.
He hasn't.
I don't want to speak like you're not here,
but you're so great.
I like to do it sometimes.
Thank you, brother.
Appreciate it.
He hasn't shot 150% since like 2012.
And in a league that doesn't talk about efficiency enough,
because I'm one of those efficiency guys.
Like I hate going out there
Just chucking up shots or you know looking at the box score
and I was maybe 8 for 23 or 9 for 25 or
6 for 18 like you're gonna have those nights for sure
Yeah, you know but for the majority of the season like being efficient, you know, it's something I've always prided myself on and
this guy is when it comes to three level score three-pointers mid-range below the below the Gary Payton area below the Malone area and
finishing is um we haven't had a score as equipped as KD in our league. I appreciate that.
What the fuck?
This is Gil's Arena presenting 100 Dolls.
We do what we want to do here.
Never heard of it Steve.
So we're all in our 30s and 40s,
but would you guys consider this first off glazing on Lebron's part?
Was Lebron glazing KD in that clip?
Nah, just give him some of his flowers.
Speaking of facts. It's important.
Showing love.
So what is he supposed to do to his guest?
Glaze me. So what is he supposed to do to his guest?
Glaze, giving someone too much respect for what they do.
So just liking your favorite players, glaze, or just liking them?
Well, it's really a Lebron der just like what is really a LeBron
Just being too positive like you're too positive like LeBron supporters are known as
What is your Jordan fan?
Hey, what about a perfect?
technically glazers to go but
Glazing, okay, I don't have any fans get a tattoo AI glazedzing. Okay. Yeah, but not referred to that only a negative derogatory
So what is he supposed to say about his guess? He has a guess on his show
What does he post come on that motherfucking say you terrible?
We came back 3-1 on these motherfuckers.
That ain't shit.
They had to call you to the...
Come on, man.
Yeah, go rescue these motherfuckers, man.
I would have been nicer just to put that on there.
No.
Yeah, it would have been a fact.
Yeah, I'm efficient.
I'm proud of myself for being efficient.
You know what I'm saying?
No, all right.
But in all sincerity, what's it like to hear LeBron give KD flowers while both are still
in the league balling the latter stages of their career?
The nose fell off.
For some reason I just got the urge to get a jumbo jack.
I got a jack in the box. I got a jack in the box.
Lebron constantly does it while he's been doing it
throughout his giving his peers their respect and flowers.
So nothing different.
I love it.
They've been through a lot of battles.
You know?
You know, they played in how many finals together?
Maybe three against each other? Yeah, we've been together and shit. You know, they played in how many finals together?
Maybe three against each other?
Well, one actually and then...
So, I mean, I love it, man.
I mean, every time they played against each other,
they put on a show for us.
You know, you're talking about two of the greatest athletes
to ever play in the NBA, so, you know,
it's good to see them sit down and just have talk.
Have a hoop talk.
So, yeah, fuck all that.
Cool.
Steve, what was the question you asked, Steve?
Answer this, Gil.
Shut up and dribble.
I didn't play basketball like you guys.
He said the Gary Payton area and the Karl Malone area.
What are those areas? What are those areas?
I assume like post.
Wait, what?
What are those areas?
On Mid-Post, around the 17, 18 foot.
Like, is that what it is?
Old school 90s, 80s area.
But, so why not just say that?
I mean, if you-
Like, that's a, like, don't, like, you just trying to
You know why?
You motherfuckers that much smarter than everybody.
We get it, dude.
You got it.
You know, but-
Because they didn't want to-
They're minding the game, Parker. Mind the game, man. They're minding the game. Because they didn't want to say the Jordan or Kobe era.
So this is the thing, right?
So hold on.
So you're so, who's watching these podcasts, right?
The Jordan is mid-range.
Like who's watching these shows?
People are trying to learn about the game being minded.
Fans.
Uh-huh.
You're talking, so you need to, as we do constantly,
you're talking lame in terms, right?
You gotta break it down to like, you got people that just,
they a fan of Lebron, they don't know basketball terminology,
you know, the Gary Payton area, the Carmelone area.
Like, no, just say the mid-range.
But like, you can say that, but slag, like...
Normally on the show, they'll put up little pop-up boxes.
But they haven't, so...
With the explain... But that was just a social clip, so...
Yeah, he's probably just...
Yeah, he's talking to us.
That's the block, ain't it?
He's talking to us.
That's the block.
Ain't that the block?
Because he said mid-range. He said three mid range.
Gary Payne area.
Oh, now I understand.
Carmelo playing two areas on the floor.
Yeah, so this one is more post up to mid range
versus Jordan and Kobe three to mid range.
I'm saying it was Carmelo playing in the elbow
to the post, the post to elbow.
Picking road to pop, he's shooting the elbow.
It's that area.
I get what, I know what the fuck he's saying,
he talking to us.
But, you got-
Isn't that the Mello area?
Like, isn't that the Mello area?
No. No.
No. One of them.
Isn't that the Paul Pierce?
Is it the Paul Pierce area?
One of them.
No.
What about the T-Mac?
Is it the T-Mac area?
No. No.
No?
Jamal Mashburn?
No? Yeah. Yeah. You could say. No, no, no, Jamal Mastburn But it's it's a big dog, yes, it is dog. Yes big dog
Kind of kind of so car played in both of those areas. We get it
Gary Payton was a post-up player. Go get a face to back people down. That's the post up
Yeah, I know car Malone played in the post
Because he was a fucking powerful back then,
they ran post-ups.
Gary Payne used to back people down
if he had a smaller guard on him
or a guard who he thought he had an advantage on.
He gonna, yeah.
He like Andre Miller.
He gonna, Dre gonna try to back the seven,
yeah he gonna have to lose.
He gonna give a fuck.
He gonna motherfucking hit your ass.
Right?
It would kinda been easier if you said Kareem, like Hakeem, Elijah one.
Yeah.
All right.
Look what I was saying there.
Tim Duncan.
Tim Duncan there.
That's the poster there.
Kevin Carden.
That's the poster.
Yeah, it's a lot of people.
But I'm just saying, what I'm saying is, so you want to break it down to the fans that
watch the game.
Like to Josiah's point, they used to put the, when he would give one of his LeBron terms,
they would put it up underneath the definition
that they were getting.
Yeah, that's good.
I'm gonna say that'd be good for people to look up.
Yeah, because I think on the actual show,
they still do that.
Oh, they still do it?
Look up where?
Oh, this is somebody else.
It's a social clip.
Oh, it's a social clip.
This was just a social breakout clip.
They can't look the Karl Malone area up
and Gary Payton up there on the floor. I don't think he said area. Area. Area. Area on the
floor. I thought you said liberal. Era. Area on the floor Nick. Where they play basketball.
Where they like to receive the ball in order to try to put it through the orange thing. But it's LeBron.
Fuck.
Let him be LeBron.
What's wrong with saying that type of stuff?
Because you got fans that don't understand those terms is what I'm saying, Nick.
Yeah, we don't understand.
They squashed it all the time.
Because of those players.
It's a lot of players playing that area, LeBron.
Like, like goddamn.
But those are players that he chose the name, yes, but I'm just saying, say what, it's the mid-range, the post-area, these guys played in those areas, like for the layman's, I'm talking about for the people that don't.
Below the free throw line.
Like just not, because he's speaking us, when he, when he, I know he's having the conversation with Steve Nash, but he's talking, the fans, the people that's watching it be like what
the fuck is he like what does that mean? You gotta remember too right he like most of
the time but most of the conversations he has is with players so you know he's
just getting the media to learn how to transfer our locker room talk to them
they're not gonna use that ever. Yeah I mean it's gonna take him up it's gonna
take him a minute. He gonna have to keep saying But they not gonna use that ever. Yeah, I mean, it's gonna take him a minute.
He gonna have to keep saying that shit.
Keep going it, keep going it.
He gonna have to keep saying it,
but it's just, it's the conversation.
Who does it now in this era?
I mean, this year, like this year,
who could he have said?
The LeBron area?
No, he don't post the LeBron, don't post the.
They shoot the LeFedrois.
Yeah, why did he just call it the LeBron area?
Just said the most.
Cola. Right. My area. Yeah, that's my area. it the little brown area? Just said the most. The Cola.
My area.
My area.
Yeah, that's my area.
That's all I'm gonna say.
Who's supposed to have that?
Brunson.
Brunson Shea.
Drew Holiday.
It's just easier just below the free throw line.
That's all I'm gonna say.
We understood it.
Attacking free throw line.
I've never heard those terminologies.
That's why Steve said, I've never heard those terminologies. That's what Steve said.
I've never heard nobody reference it as those players.
Those two just in specific.
That was my first time here.
I thought that was something you guys all know.
I just see he probably just want people to know.
Because usually when we think about that.
No, he made that shit up in real time as he was talking.
I thought it was a level of game that I have never minded.
You see, I was lying when I said it.
Y'all can't come up with nobody that post up this thing. So, I was lying when I did it. Motionless.
Y'all can't come up with nobody that post up this thing.
So Sean, I got a question before we move on.
Is it obvious?
Okay, that's one to the nine.
But respect LeBron for taking the time to bring KD on,
give him his love, give him his flowers,
while both are still in the league.
It is an important part of the game.
Yeah.
It is.
Is it usually...
Do y'all respect the people that you respect?
Usually all greats acknowledge their counterparts. When have they not?
Was there every time somebody gave you your love or gave you your flowers?
I was more great.
You were great.
LeBron can't look at me.
LeBron and Steve Nash gave you some love. I was really appreciated. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Oh, I'm talking about, can you stick with what I say?
The greats, man.
When Magic and Bird and they used to give each other their flowers, stick to them.
Okay?
Like, damn, that's what I'm talking about.
The greats.
The top tier.
Like, when you're on a certain level, they respect, because they understand the work
ethic and the sacrifice it takes to get to that level
And since they're on that level they usually always
But my push other they're respecting like you know, I like my question for you guys
Magic everybody. I mean one of the greats ever complimented your game specifically that made you say, alright
Brought a flutter to your heart, a smile to your face, Brian. He remember when magic, you know, when the magic, when the USA, joy used to come down.
And he said, I was like, you better get him back.
Get him back.
You better get him back.
So you said what?
You said, you said what, great?
I was like, hey!
Come on, man. So you said what you said great
Don't act like y'all didn't love that
Great that I come that come on. Yeah, but as anybody you've considered one of the great somebody you looked up to a respected in the game show you some love
That you really appreciate it
Yeah, Shaq Dwayne Wade, okay
Steve Nash, hmm
God is good
You guys don't like compliments I see this mark girl
Hanging with mr. Cooper said I was I he said Mark Gurren. Yeah, I like compliments.
Hanging with Mr. Cooper said I was alright.
He said you were alright.
Was that during his stand with the Warriors?
Nope.
Hanging with Mr. Cooper.
Yeah, hanging with Mr. Cooper.
He got a 10 day for the Warriors.
Wait, Tommy Sheppard too.
Leon, he told me I was good too.
He said keep shooting that thing.
Tommy Sheppard ran the same place.
They were in the same downstream.
The guys came from Gill.
They can't have raised where we were.
The little motivation speech Gill used to give me.
Thomas Shepard came back down from 30.
Thomas Shepard.
Yeah.
I remember.
Was that Thomas Shepard who passed it to himself
and got that dunk?
No, that was number 57.
Right?
That was number 57.
The light came to him.
Passed it to himself?
Yeah. Ice King Gar was hooping on there with the red jersey. God bless. 57 right 57 the light to itself
Gar was hooping on there with the red
God bless. Well, let's keep this thing moving today's podcast is sponsored by row

Your Rose Pox ass every time on Snapchat and shit.
You don't enjoy it?
Hell no.
Swaggy you give it a heart every time you see it.
I'm like tired of seeing this shit, I ain't gotten it.
So we talked about Lebron. I thought you said you're tired of looking at her
every day, this 15 years.
We talked about-
In a rose box.
LeBron, you had a rose box.
You can get me in your trouble.
Yeah, I get in trouble.
Oh my God, I get in trouble.
So much shit.
So we talked about LeBron and Katie.
Now let's talk a little bit about LeBron's team.
We gotta talk a little Lakers, They are America's team as well.
So they lost Black and Mild during Phenny Smith at Rockets, but signed for Jake Larravia
to a two-year, $12 million deal. According to a report from the Athletics, Dan Wojci,
Larravia was the first player Rob Palinka called when free agency opened Monday
with Palinka and Jake Day-Reddick selling him on the Lakers brand and how giving him a detailed vision
of how the Lakers plan to utilize him.
The first call 3 p.m. hit, we got to call Jake Larravia.
Gil, you had a great reaction to this signing
on social media, so let's take a look at that.
Hey, Smoke.
Never in my life have I ever seen a bench player
be signed so fast during free agency.
So this is what we're doing now, signing Jake from Allstate.
The nerve of this post saying breaking news, breaking news is if we sign Kamiga, that's
breaking news.
If we sign Aten who just hit the market breaking news
If we stole miles Turner from Indiana breaking news
Right nigga who average six points last year that ain't breaking news. You a damn fool, huh?
You we could have got him the last that right before training camp you could have had him
try out huh he had a six-point you could have had him try to fuck out to see if he
can make the team you're gonna put the nigga with brawny put him in summer league with
brawny shit he probably won't make that god damn it so go up visibly frustrated again
3 p.m. yesterday pacific free agency opened up get Jake Larravia on the phone, please
First call
First feed dog
Lakers
Lakers still got a sign
Jake Larravia
You caught him Jake from all state guilt just as a reminder in that corner, damn. I know you know. Jake Larabia. You called him Jake from Allstate, Gil.
Just as a reminder in that video.
Allstate, a rough year.
I remember a time.
It's gonna be a rough year for the Lakers.
I remember a time where
just the names, just like, you know,
just everybody piggybacking off each other just,
and then later on
August when nobody really cares you know you'd be like oh hey man y'all just signed a little
dude you know him? I don't know him. Like yeah they said yeah that's...
Nah, you did.
Right before training camp you done said it.
I haven't been like that.
That never in my life.
The corners is always in my life.
Never.
The end of the week.
Not the first, not the first day, the first call.
The end of the week is for the corner.
Yeah, the first three days of stuff.
Like this is 1950, just like, just the whole fall,
white only, white only call members.
Boom, boom, boom. Hey, how you doing?
We just, we see you adding the paper. It going white. God damn. It going back boom boom. Hey, we just we see you add in the paper
They even had that back then it wasn't even that dumb
The Lakers has never had this many on one team the Rick not the plate we already have two players That's okay already. You already have Trace Laker. Three.
I forgot.
Can they go in there?
No.
You already have Trace Laker.
Can't play all three of them.
That's no defense.
The glory road.
Jerry West is looking up like, what the hell?
What is this going on?
I didn't have that many whites on my team.
Glory, glory.
That's the new owner.
The new owner did that.
He must be cousins with the owner.
I know Jerry Weston sitting there like, what in the Boston is going on here?
Look at these niggas.
There was a reason Boston fell off from all these years.
They ain't won a championship since.
All right, well, okay, congrats, Jake.
Welcome to the...
To be honest, I really, it kinda confused me
because when you look at it real fast,
you kinda think it was, I thought it was Austin Reeves,
just like the college version of it.
I thought, oh shit, Austin, son, what the fuck is this?
Okay, well, in other news,
the Lakers are looking for a starting center in free agency.
The options are dwindling.
Oh really?
Brooke Lopez went to the Clippers on a free rate $10 million deal.
Maybe if they was on the phone with Brooke Lopez first.
First!
First!
And then Jake, like I'm pretty sure they could have got Jake will be sitting there now
They've been doing what New York was doing calling around and checking
Your center needs some Starbucks and some what you're sending need over there doing. Yo, center needs some Starbucks or something. What you center need over there?
So Brooklyn, uh, Brooke Lopez went to the Clippers to your 18 million dollar,
they're a clink of pellets.
It's like buying shoelaces before you buy the shoes.
Like, yeah, I want the MJ's over there, everybody in line and you go buy your,
you go buy your laces first.
Shit, it's gonna be some cold ass.
They got a good age. You all right?
You got time, Gil?
In a bit of good news, Gil.
There's no good news unless we find that other one, man.
The Bahamian.
Deandre Aiden is still available after being bought off by the Trailblazers.
We still got the mid-level, right?
39-year-old Al Horford is still available as well, if that does anything for you.
Man, listen. I know black I'm listen listen
listen if we sign our motherfucking brother you're gonna do that if we wasn't
athletic last year last year we wasn't athletic you just signed Jake. Okay idea You just saw me we still got a fan though
He gonna be a leg in front
So let's but Deandre Aiden still available but here's the caveat guilt
Aiden initially signed with the Pacers back in the day sign that offer sheet with them before the Suns match it
He had to come back to Phoenix as you may know the Pacers
Do not have miles Turner anymore. Oh, they could be in the Humphrey new center as well
But is it Deandre Aiden or bust for the Lakers and free agency?
That's why I do the thinking
You wanted to go to Indiana
Be the star center we need you
Look at the Andre have the same agent. We just came up
Bear down if I said anything about you, I know you guys man. Is he ready for that Laker coach? No
Already trying to go somewhere else. No, thank you culture is dangerous. Please. I believe we're ready for it
They'll boo his ass. We believe it great
We won't bully ahead
Oh, we won't boo you here No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Have you been watching? I'm just saying so how we approach those brothers are starving Why don't they make it just on your face on the lake and start our only fans? So y'all just do that
Thinking about it. We got a
Some working out there. Yeah, I like the work. It's not there. No, see that's the problem Well, that's the problem with that. So let's talk about the future of the Lakers
That's the problem. That's the problem with that. So let's talk about the future of the Lakers
Yesterday Shams reported that Lakers are prioritizing two-year contracts right now in the hopes of freeing up a max salary slot in
2027 so this comes on the heels of the statement made by Rich Paul that is client Lebron wants to prioritize winning right now
Seems like those two timelines
Are not aligning Ron in his last year with the Lakers
But smart for the Lakers to be looking ahead to free up cap space for 2027.
Go ask you first.
Lakers fan since 1996.
Oh, Kobe Flex, I'm Lakers fan.
Yeah.
I've been talking all that shit yesterday
through everything we did for y'all.
All this shit was in me.
Brought you Bronin. Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, Artishev, According to reports, Luca will sign his extension in August. Bron in the last year of his deal,
many believe this will be his last year with the Lakers.
What do we do to clear up cap space?
Sign two-year deals.
So for 2027, you'll have a lot of bread.
It's gonna be a rough year next year.
So that's what we did to clear up cap space?
Okay, so.
They're prioritizing your contract.
Bucks send a nigga home with his money cleared up
Capspace, okay. That looks like it's cleared up. Okay
Still on the cap for the next five years though. What Houston did was trade
Hey, I'm not giving you this money unless you go take just five more and extend it for two cleared up money
We got we had bronze say give me my 53 we had Austin
said hell no we ain't going I'm not signing for a I don't see what we cleared
up are you acting like a mouth and then we we had no money We cleared up to keep black and mild
then then
We we then we called Jake first thing we did was call Jake
First thing y'all did was sold a team y'all sold a team first
You got out the shit facts for 10 billion out of digger to go. He like look at the shit. We in
Go get Jake. Let's go get this nigga named Jake.
But that ain't Jake Paul.
We gonna pace this shit around here.
This my white second.
Rob, give me some good news.
I don't got Jake.
What my mama's doing out there, man?
We just gonna be alright.
Six years gone down the drain.
I just paid $10 billion value wage for this team.
What we got?
We gonna be alright, man. Can't get the six years back. No we good.
I know I mean we gonna be alright. I mean just two years from now.
They could just be looking for the next L.A.S.
Jake A.R. and I got the Wizards and I got the Lakers. Yeah it's gonna be some hard times.
Yeah well you know they saying don't nobody wanna play for them. We got Luca.
They saying nobody wanna play for the Lakers. Everybody wanna play for the we got Luca. They say nobody right now everybody wanna play for the Lakers not everybody
Next year everybody don't want to play
I'm just saying playing for the Lakers is dangerous
I get the marketing but shit they go crazy about you behind like they said like Devo
They go we gonna bully you the fuck out here get out of here
Beasley talk, okay, y'all like man when I was in the late good day
Beasley can't say a motherfucking thing What you gonna be? That's a stupid mullah. Damn. That's what he said. Damn. Damn, boy.
Jesus.
Man.
Lord of Pippin.
You said Michael Beasley.
No, I said.
Oh, he had a COVID brain right then.
He was getting that.
No, we didn't say Michael Beasley.
Hot COVID.
You said Beasley.
They were talking about Michael Beasley.
No, you said Malik. Oh, that's what I thought. That's what you said. That's what I thought. You said B. They were talking about Michael B. No, you said Malik.
Oh, that's all.
That's all I thought.
You said who you're saying?
Yes, that's who you're talking about.
Y'all talking about this person.
Yes.
Michael or Malik?
Malik.
Oh, yeah.
Malik.
All right.
Well, if you were Luka, how would you feel about all this discourse the last few days
surrounding the Lakers?
And would it make you want to stay in Los Angeles?
I can't move.
We do have a-
You just asked me like-
If you were in the role of Luka,
getting ready to sign an extension August 2nd,
and the Lakers said,
guess what, we got Jake Larravia coming to save the day.
I'ma wait.
But in 2027, we gonna have big bread.
That was- Get you yo. That. That was good. Oh, man.
Hey, man, can we cut somebody and then sign them back?
Like if bucks wanted Dane back, can they bring him back?
Why not?
Is that part of a rule? Yeah. If I waive you, I can't just sign
you back.
Is that problem, what I'm saying is that part of a...
That's part of the collective
part. How long do, how long
after I waive you?
What's the point of another team first?
So I can go to another team tomorrow and then
they waive me and I can come back?
And still get that five for 22?
Yeah, no the five is locked down.
Once I wave you, that's locked down.
If you go sign another deal and then they be like,
you know what, I wave you,
I can pick that player back up, right?
So you'd be getting two checks from the Bucks.
Yes.
And one from another team.
It's not happening.
No, it's not happening, but it's possible, right?
I think you have to wait a couple seasons
in order to go back to more.
It's a couple seasons or just a regular team?
So hear me out.
I wanna know if this is possible.
Okay, so Braun just signed his 53
and it kinda handicapped us.
So if I say, hey, we send your ass home and we cut him,
get outta here.
So who?
Just cut them.
Who put them?
Wait, let me finish the plan.
OK?
And then someone else signs them, like the Clippers, right?
And then they was like, you know what?
I had too many problems here.
We're going to cut you.
And then they cut them, and then we we signed them back the 53 is off our books
You get what I'm talking about now. We got 53 million dollars right now and we got brawn back with our team
We don't gotta wait two years because we got freed up
It's a long shot cuz I don't think no one's that
It's a long shot because I don't think no one's that. It's a very long shot.
Dope or what?
It's a long shot.
No, I'm just saying, but is that possible?
I'm just asking if it's possible.
Because all we need is someone that we got good relationships with like Dallas that can
sign them and cut them.
We did something for y'all.
You can sign Braun and then cut him and then he's back open to the market and we can get
him back
I'm just saying is that a thing that's possible? I don't think it is a possibility
You know loopholes is a loophole. It's a hell of a drug
All you need is someone it's a hell of a
Who doesn't want to be a winner
You had two deals, you know as a player and then And then when I left, you had the coaching money too.
Coach and player, baby.
Well, we will see what the Lakers have in store
in this free agency.
Always find a loophole.
We got Jake Larravia, we got their number one target.
I don't do that.
I don't do it, man.
I'm pretty sure that'd be collusion.
The Lakers did secure their number one free agent.
That's called COVID brain.
The first call.
Huh?
Call me Mike.
Mike Beasley.
It's 3 p.m. on Monday.
We got Larabi on the phone.
Hey, I'm just, nah, I know I'm not gonna say nothing about that, but you know when you
just see a motherfucker on the side of the runway and then you ask your questions, what
did he do to get here?
There's gonna be a day,
you're gonna see a motherfucker on the side, just chilling with the beard.
Is that gonna be you?
With the drink.
Talking about old times.
Talking about the arena.
With the basketball shorts on.
With the ball.
Saying, oh, what the shit that don't make sense
We know where it started from
In there done that
Ain't too cozy under the bridge
You found me on the street
Cozy under the bridge. You found me on the street.
It's cold under there.
It ain't too cozy out here.
It's cold in the store.
You gotta light the fire.
All right, well we will see what the lake is.
There's a trash bin over there.
Put some water in there.
I'm gonna tell y'all a story.
We will pray.
Oh, but we're gonna give a shout out.
I'm gonna tell y'all a story.
Somebody got a good smoke.
Give it to me.
Scary, hey, scary Terry's free.
Feds found him innocent.
Terry Rosier.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
Nah, they threw dirt on his name.
They did, for real.
I heard he told on Malik.
Pfft.
Ah!
Hey, nigga, come sub, come sub, yeah.
Sub!
Yeah, I'm about to sub, man.
I ain't food, nigga. I thought I told somebody who did, man. I'm gonna look over there. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, I Who did that push the button hey doesn't tell him to go dog
Go

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for watching this show today.
If it's our last it's been a pleasure.
When they wouldn't do it.
No, we didn't do it.
We didn't do it.
God damn thing.
I see the clip and I just said something.
That was it.
It just made sense both of them like how he get off of him.
Okay, that's what happened
I've seen this before
48 told me what about showing niggas the tape
Somebody with
I'm just saying I live for the motherfucking jail
I'm just saying I live for the motherfucking
Parlay for 5,000 I'm back in the streets. Five for five. My nigga, what? It's a nigga in Detroit. I'm on my way back here. You're probably from Detroit.
Five for five.
I'm in Detroit.
Five for five plus 12.
How much you put on it?
Four thousand dollars.
Four course meals.
You think I'm going to sit your dumb ass out?
They had a four course meal.
Let's keep this thing moving.
Much more free agency than the way you spend that money.
You don't want to spend that money.
So let's head over to the Eastern Conference.
I'm smoking a cigarette.
I'm smoking a cigarette.
I'm smoking a cigarette.
I'm smoking a cigarette.
I'm smoking a cigarette.
I'm smoking a cigarette.
I'm smoking a cigarette. I'm smoking a cigarette. I'm smoking a cigarette. I'm smoking a cigarette. I'm smoking a cigarette. Let's keep this thing moving. Much more free agency than this. You don't want to spend that money.
You don't want to spend that money.
So let's head over to the Eastern Conference.
Jordan Clarkson was bought off by the Jazz yesterday
in less than 24 hours path forward.
He was reported to be joining the New York Knicks
once he clears waivers.
So to celebrate the news, his former teammate on the Lakers,
Josh Hart, posted this on his IG story.
Let's take a look.
My boy, Jordan Clarkson, look at that.
Almost giving a high five.
As you may recall, Josh Hart.
Often left hanging.
But nice to see.
Former Lakers teammates reuniting in New York.
The Knicks bench struggled, a weakness that was exposed
by Indiana in this postseason.
Clarkson has 66 games, a score of 20 or more off the bench
over the last five seasons.
Most of any player in the league in that span.
Nicks also agree with Gershon Yabusele to a two year $12 million contract with
a player option in the second year.
You remember him from the Olympics, he did something to a certain player
that we won't talk about.
We didn't pay for that though.
Gershon.
You mean from Philly?
Yeah, Gershon Yabusele.
Are the Knicks your favorites in the Eastern Conference after strengthening their bench?
This question did not come from me, as you guys know.
Are they the favorites?
Are they the favorites in the Eastern Conference after strengthening their bench?
They ain't got a coach.
Fair question.
Do they have a coach yet?
No.
Okay, well then no.
Don't need one.
Do they need one?
Yes, yes.
I need a coach.
I just went last year to hit.
Yes, you need a coach.
Yes. You need somebody. You need a structure. you need a party this way last year to you. Yes, you need a coach. Yes
No, they did do you know tips tips was they come slash you they run saying get the ball no sir They have not a coach. No, sir. Something is the coaching part
That's not a coach. No, serving is the coaching part.
It's not a coach.
48, 48, 48, 48, 48.
Let me know if y'all need a son.
DSC.
Damn, he ain't a foul-trick.
You didn't want it?
Damn, he ain't a foul-trick.
Foul-trick, what'd I do?
How many he got?
How many he got?
What I?
I'm gonna take my chance.
You better not fail.
I'm gonna take my chance.
You better not fail.
Don't fail, brother. You better not fail. Don't fail!
B! Foul.
You're a cat. You're a cat. You're a good man.
Who else we got on this team?
Where's Patrick going at?
Goddamn, Coach.
I got three y'all can sit up and still take my chance.
You know he wasn't coaching. You know he wasn't setting up.
They fired a nigga for not something.
Yeah, that's sick.
Does this Clarkson move kind of shift away from Tibb's
defensive mentality, bringing in a famously one-way player
who gets buckets but maybe struggles on the defensive end?
How do we know he struggles?
Yeah.
That's...
Uh-oh.
It's just cause people said it.
That's called narrative.
Take a sip. Mm-hmm. It's true serum, but nonetheless this bug is on the offensive end doesn't seem like they're shifting away
We're playing all the New York Knickers play a they play they play defense
I'm pretty sure you can survive like one not because everybody else play the pretty sure they can say Bob play D with one person
It's a cat down play D either
So it don't do the two stars don't play.
But everybody else do their job.
Talked about the Knicks lacking a coach right now.
So according to reports, Mike Brown is the leader in the coaching search currently.
I like Mike.
Knicks also interview Don Staley.
Old school.
Come here.
Mike Brown or Mike Brown?
Wait, wait, Brown.
Wait, stop. Say that again. He's going to do it. He's going to Brown? Wait, wait, Brown. Brown. Wait, stop.
Say that again.
Oh, he's gonna do it.
He's gonna do it.
The next interview time?
He's gonna do it.
But he don't repeat.
He's gonna do it.
Okay.
But don't repeat.
It's new.
You're gonna do it.
You're gonna make him do it.
I'm telling you who they're gonna do it.
No, I thought he said Don Stanley.
A great coach.
We've all seen Eddie.
We know the powers that a woman coach could have in New York. Well, he did it
He didn't that team right there. You're going to say that they explain there you go. They're you know, that was AI
And not the one
Undercut contract she can be a coach of the next was interviewed. I'm not saying just I like the move for Jordan
Oh, no move for Jordan just I like the move for Jordan though the move for Jordan I like the move for Jordan what is the what what
coach has that actually like like they've been I'm serious like you got
rid of tips you got rid of tips that was the coach that got to where he got to, right?
And you fired him.
And then ever since, you're telling me you're taking this shit serious and you've been going
after coaches who already have jobs.
Currently under contract with every single one of them.
And Mike Brown is the only actual coach
That can say yes, I want the job and don't have no baggage coming with them currently unemployed
Okay, Mike Brown is the only real coach that they went after that actually can say I want to
But then Stanley just should just read up right now. Okay
So this is again all the front to get Rick Brunson Then Stanley just she just re-upped right? Don Stanley. Okay.
So it's just again all the front to get Rick Brunson. Hey, the city.
Just do it.
God damn it. Nobody give a fuck.
You just signed some more players.
I think the city's happy right now.
It'll be too obvious.
No.
It's obvious.
It's already obvious.
It's not.
It's not.
It's obvious.
Nobody knows what's going on.
Nobody has no idea.
What's wrong with the Daddy Vinnikon? We're gonna know. Huh? What's wrong with the Daddy Vinnikon? It's not nobody knows what's going on. Nobody has no idea
We're gonna know
Because it's just a thing my daddy said I could play
Yeah, you see how I plan out in the in the foot in the in the little little
League in the EU your daddy to coach you get all the way we went shit He gonna all the minutes, regardless. But now you don't never fuck up.
And y'all having private meetings at home and shit.
Hot chocolate at 2 a.m. and shit.
This is what we gonna run tomorrow.
We ain't gonna tell them.
Y'all setting up honnibals and shit.
Y'all know it.
I'm gonna give you the wink right here.
Don't pass that nigga the ball.
We see what happens when they let you run the show.
Hot chocolate.
2 a.m.
He's the only one that can coach his son.
No, he can't.
And check him.
He's the only one that checks him.
Yeah.
He's the only one.
He's the only one that checks him.
Yeah.
He's the only one.
The only one that checks him.
Because he's not the head coach.
Yeah, but.
If he was the head coach, he had to change it.
He had to change how he checked him.
He had to.
He can't do that in front of a group like he used to.
Why?
Because he's the head coach.
That's a different dynamic.
How I coached him when he was little all the way into now. He's the only one I thought I'd make more than you
Cool cool. Sit your ass down. What do you make more than you? Yeah, we got a ride home together. No, we don't
Know anything you think they live with him
As them to
Watch this we're growing up. Oh, no, it's Jake
Shultz worth it's the Jake's
Sure for sure, but that's what I'm saying. They ever if they bump his just like what is it gonna look like? It's a head coach just a coach you beefing with the head coach
It's gonna be crazy looks like the group that shit gonna look fucking terrible man
You can't be bringing y'all family problems in this month. I said in W who work for
The first you go here is some Like what be bringing y'all family problems in this month. Hey, who works for the first year you go here?
Now that shit ain't gonna work now when he's supposed to be the man
If he was some other like over Carl Austin Rivers. Yeah, baby
Dad was the one that made the decision
to sign him and do all that shit,
because he had, but this is, the man is already here.
I don't think that shit works.
Not in that city.
Another city maybe?
Oh, the players he love.
That city, you start losing, there was some shit
that can go on, boy, you know the shit, man, please.
New York Post, Park Pace, Brux, Boston.
Personal and brutal.
Ain't working.
They went and got every player Bronson love to play with.
Yeah.
You think Pop should take it?
They all know it's that.
That's a P-Food disaster.
Don't change nothing right now.
What's their potential say when they got mad at him?
Your dad run every time?
We'll see what happens when they let you run the show. Not that even Chizzo.
Yeah.
So it's been happening already.
We see what happens when they let you run the show.
It's been happening.
So, my bro just give it to him.
What did he say?
Yeah, him.
DeChico.
Him.
Chico.
But, no, I don't think that shit works, not with that team, not in that city, not with
the way that Jalen Brunson
already dominates the ball.
And who's the one who yells him to get off of it?
His daddy.
Yeah, because he's an assistant.
Yeah, you can yell that shit.
It's like the ring guy on the bottom.
The bottom guy can say shit,
but then you diss him.
So what happens when the father becomes head coach
and he can't check his son like he always does who doesn't now?
So with Jalen going that more for black listen, but I can't play for this motherfucker dog straight up
But he's your damn way
He go to dollar be like listen dog can't play for this man. Hey, man, what you pops is tripping he
Control-free. I know he was gonna act like this man. He pops tripping me one. Yeah
Do you think red reds dad regrets make him go to D bar and try to get the beach cruiser back? Did you see what he said?
No.
Is he not allowed to make no mistakes?
Where were they going to put the bike if they did get it?
So now, the only person you listen to is your father, right?
During the season.
So he's the one that keeps you in check.
Like, you see During the season. So he's the one that keeps you in check. Like you sit off the ball. Now who's gonna be the force of reason if the head
coaches the father now and he can't say nothing and then Brunson getting to do
him what Brunson can't do? I just flip this right?
Rick changed the offenses all together. One fourth left. No, no, no. He changed the
offense all together like we've been saying.
Put in the system, take the ball out of his hand, do all these things like we saying, then what?
And his numbers go from what they are to 17.
What I'm saying is who's the one that puts Brunson back in balance if his dad can't?
Because he's not going to listen to assistant coaching no more.
Who the fuck is this dude?
Well I see what he's saying. He's saying even if he do get out of line, if he set up a system for it,
he had to get in line because it's his dad.
Yeah.
Like we set up a system getting you off the ball.
That's like getting the ball out of LeVar Ball.
He's the only one who checked those boys, JBA champions.
But they can't play for him.
But they can't play for him.
It's not an NBA coach.
They don't like playing for him.
I hear you, but he's not an NBA head coach.
And they don't like playing for him. Off the court, but he's not an NBA head coach. And they don't like playing for him.
Off the court, yeah.
I hear you.
Yes, that's a different dynamic than that locker room,
them other guys.
We don't, listen, I hear you, yeah,
but I don't think at that team and that level,
the way it's been, that Rick,
I would love to see Rick get the job.
Dad, son, personally, yes.
I'm looking at the dynamic of the whole situation.
The team and everything.
How we looking at how you judging him.
Like I'm, I'm, I'm, I just.
But it's already here though.
He's already here.
But he's not the head though.
That's the difference.
He is.
It's like Sam Kasell showing favoritism to somebody.
He's like, he the assistant.
He know who's the head.
Come on, man.
It's not.
We don't know who the head.
So like he said, just, y'all stand up.
He going to that motherfucking man and be like, listen, he go talk to Leon and fucking
Wes and don't like, listen, man.
Dude, I can't, I can't play like this man.
Then what?
Then what?
I'm just fucking around man.
He gonna get the job.
But what?
Answer that question.
Answer that question.
Bronson took less money so he can get the job.
But answer that question though.
It's like your son's trying to fire you.
Boy, I'll ring your motherfucking dead.
My brother's trying to run up to the white man.
I can't do it.
He's trying to run up to the white man.
I'm playing devil's advocate.
We always throw hypotheticals out there.
He go in that muddle and listen, I can't do it.
I feel you, I reason with you.
But I think then what? What do you do? That's all I'm saying, so you didn't do it. I feel you by reason then what this one my thing then what what do you do?
This is all I'm saying. So you didn't hide it man. Just think about this
I think about your daddy because I go be no what they gonna say to him, but you asked for this
I'm even more than you can come you can't ask out of what if you don't ask for
No, what if he don't want but he asked for with the contract?
I took less money for this for me and my dad and me to pick my guys.
I'ma pick my guys.
My dad gonna post this, woo.
So I seen what you said earlier, I felt it.
But now that I'm looking at the contract situation, who the New York Knicks are right now, what
they're looking for, family, it makes more sense.
For that deal to happen and him take less money like that and then we asked for what I wouldn't want it
Like for what?
Rick to take over who's gonna tell him how hard is it not to show favoritism?
But that's like don't though. You're not the head coach yet. Gil. That's the
He's not making any decisions
So now it becomes You won't show favoritism to your son, you don't coach. He's not making any decisions. But what I'm saying is- But can you go out your way-
So Doc Griffin showed favoritism to his son?
So now it becomes-
Doc Griffin at first.
Now you didn't flip, so now you're not showing me
favoritism and you treat me a certain way
because you're not trying to show me favoritism.
Now look now, I feel a fucking certain way
as your goddamn son.
What I'm saying, what changes?
What changes? What changes? He makes no decision, he hasn as your goddamn son. What I'm saying, what changes? What changes?
What changes?
He's the star.
He has no decision making before if he's not the head coach.
So he doesn't get blamed for anything.
But he's the star.
What I'm asking you is-
You talking about the head coach?
No, what I'm asking you is-
But you said, sir, every star get favoritism.
What am I gonna do?
What is the father gonna do next year to show favoritism to a dude who takes all the...
Man!
I can say whatever you want.
Let me ask y'all a question.
But he did that under tears. He didn't do it for him.
Have y'all ever talked to anybody that Austin Rivers...
But what do you mean? What am I doing?
...in the Clippers?
Huh?
Have y'all ever had a conversation with anybody that was with Austin Rivers in the Clippers?
No, that's what I was asking. I said...
So, how was that?
So, I would bet money.
The majority of niggas in that locker room... What? What the fuck this nigga doing? So how was that? So I would bet money.
Majority niggas in that locker room.
What the fuck this nigga doing?
Austin said it. Austin said it was a problem for him.
And he's not even the star.
That's different because
the reason it's different is because
he doesn't play where he is.
He's coming here and this is
you're playing him now.
Yeah, you're playing him.
The other one already plays 45 minutes again. He takes all the shots. Yes. He don't pass in Alaska
Yeah, he already is God over there. So you coming in
The only way to say favoritism is basically to play them all 48 minutes as they take every shot
He's doing like he's doing that anyway, so you can't show favoritism
No, I don't take it away from other ways He's doing it anyway. Like he's doing it anyway so you can't show favoritism. No. Other ways though.
All you can do is take it away from him.
Other ways though.
All you can do is make him play more team basketball.
In other ways.
Which they're gonna like.
So but what does that do to him?
That's what I'm saying.
So if you take the ball out of his hand, he'd go from what, an average of 27?
Average of 25?
No, no, no, no.
I said 17.
I said 17.
No, that ain't it.
Get his ass out of here. That's what I'm saying. So no, you don no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, But you taught him the average 27. Was his dad there first? Did he? His dad was there first?
I thought they came together.
That's all right.
They have started on the staff and then.
So he the one that made the deal to come.
I brought you the king of New York.
No, his son.
So that make more sense, bro.
Yeah, his son was his son.
That make more sense.
No, he was an assistant,
cause he ain't going there to be like,
sign my fucking son.
Fuck, the front office made that decision.
But he came in with Tib, right?
Because Dallas botched the motherfucking deal, so. But he came in with Tibbs.
Came in with Tibbs and the Uncle Wes deal.
They brought him in collectively.
Ooh, but it just worked out, but I'm just like, yeah.
But it's just, I don't see that happening, to be honest with you.
So we asked to chat, are the Knicks favorites in the East?
64% of the chat says no.
We also asked to chat, should the Knicks hire Rick Brunton as head coach? 69% of the chat says no. We also asked the chat, should the Knicks hire Rick Brunson as head coach?
69% of the chat says no, not rolling.
But we got some more free agency info to get into us.
Swag, I feel like you're gonna like this story.
So let's get to the Dallas Mavix.
Drafter Cooper flagged first overall last week.
Continue to add depth to their roster
with Kyrie Irving out for most of next season
as he recovers from a torn ACL.
We all knew the Mavs would be looking for a point guard
and free agency. Well, yesterday they landed a point would be looking for a point guard and free agency.
Well, yesterday they landed a point guard
with experience as a starter and off the bench,
signing Little D-Lo, D'Angelo Russell,
to a two-year, $13 million deal.
I'ma like this one, that's sick.
I'ma go back to the Clarkson.
I like Clarkson for New York.
Great score off the bench, something they need.
Thank you, Swag.
You know, big market.
Swag, what's your reaction to the the the math signing little D-Lo?
Oh, man
They're gonna lose now
Can't have fun can't trust my fucking locker room
Camera what you gonna do? Hey, man, I was with this work last night. He walk in like damn
I shut the fuck up right? You got the glasses on
Damn, man Can't go out He walk in like damn shut the fuck up right you got the glasses I had somebody with a miss the belt buckle camera. He got the belt buckle
Come on man, who that motherfucker right. He got a camera and everything. He's got his shoes.
Everything.
He's got his camera.
He's got his camera all around him.
Can you see him?
He's him.
Nico, I knew it was your side, bro.
He's got a camera.
They're out.
They're out right now.
They're about to trade Luca.
No, I'm just kidding.
But let's take a look at the current Mavs roster
as it is constructed with the news of D'Angelo Russell come on over
So they got a D Kyrie. I was to be back at some point next season
Hopefully Cooper flag Clay Thompson Gaffer lively PJ Washington. Najee Marshall Max Christie
Little D Lowe's we mentioned Caleb Martin
Jayden Hardy
and Olivier Max sense prosper
Looks looks to be a very very very strong competitive roster heading into this season.
Will be very competitive in the Western Conference.
How much credit does Nico Harrison deserve for assembling this new look Mavs roster?
Solid.
That's excellent.
Solid team.
Like you said, yeah.
Damn!
Very competitive.
I know, we'll talk about it in a second.
We'll talk about it in a second.
You got Caleb Moore?
Yeah.
I already know what you're doing.
I already know.
I mean, when you get rid of a player like Luca, I mean, when you get rid of a player
like Luca, I mean, you should be able to make moves.
Russell.
You know?
I mean, um.
Yeah.
Yeah, Caleb Martin was there.
Yeah.
Artie can score the ball.
We should have got Caleb PJ Washington still side and
I'm your Marshall solid pro. He defend and make plays clay.
You know what he do got your bigs covered.
You had Cooper flag to that you get Kyrie Irving back late
season. You're in a good spot man.
So if I'm Jay kid the head coach.
Mad scientist. So yeah, if I'm Jay and Hardin a Hardy, I'm Jay, the head coach, mad scientist, so yeah, if I'm Jay and Hardin,
Hardee, I'm trying to take Clay Thompson's spot.
He got he got a game where he can kind of take his shit to another level.
That is not diminishing Clay, but I think just what his skill set is.
He can surprise that whole team.
And then you got Christie and Marshall, man.
They can match up with Houston, man.
They just missing the KD match up.
I mean, I think with a healthy Kyrie.
Yeah, I was gonna ask you what team you think
is more stacked, the Mavs or the Rockies?
I think Houston is, but I put them right next to them,
give them a chance with them.
So with Kyrie back, would you still feel the same way? Hell yeah.
Even with D-Lo, D-Lo in there I think D-Lo can, he can open up a little bit man he's capable of
doing some crazy shit but his consistency has always been off but they don't have no dynamic
guard outside of Jay and Harden that can actually do some shit off the dribble.
outside of Jane Harden that can actually do some shit off the dribble.
All the Texas teams are making moves.
I like them all, Spurs, Dallas, Houston.
It's gonna be a tough little conference.
I see it.
The swing gonna be tough.
Tough as fuck.
Tough.
Four game world.
Yeah, like you know what I'm saying,
like that little, just that little area right there.
That Texas swing gonna be tough.
Well that's an OKC swing too, the OKC swing.
Move on, move on, move on.
That's where you go.
One of them teams can meet in the playoffs first round.
100%.
OKC gonna have trouble though,
if they don't pick up something else.
Yeah.
Nah, they all right.
Nah.
Did they need to spend any money?
Cause they're showing in the finals is beatable.
What's going on?
With KD and Houston, them going against OKC,
that's one chance against them niggas Yeah. LKC didn't have the best
showing in the finals. So you think Max here, they're gonna give Max, Max and Hardy actual
playing time? They already gave Christie, they already gave Christie playing time. He played
a lot of ticks. But Hardy's like, he's he's microwave Feel like somebody on that roster may become expendable I think so to that I thought they need to make a move for somebody
They don't keep him all man. They took our e come back. They don't need
a little a
Marginal Hardy and can I see Marshall and Kevin Martin I can move them
Do you feel like clay Thompson may be impacted at all looking at this crew?
Yeah, eat to our move PJs, but I need a movie Do you feel like Klay Thompson may be impacted at all looking at this crew of young? He need to move P.J.
He need to move P.J.
Shoot, shoot.
Understandable.
Still Klay.
He still do what he do.
Still Klay.
Shoot that thing.
Again, good problems to have for some teams in the NBA.
Shout out Nikko, man.
They was ready to off him.
He ain't off yet. Yeah, iko, man. They was ready to off him. Still. He ain't off yet.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He still ain't off yet.
They still got him on the grill.
They just turned the fire down a little bit.
They still got him on the grill down there.
They just turned it down a little bit.
Extra crispy.
Turn him over.
Man, we already knew it was gonna happen.
They gonna win.
They gonna be like number one or two.
And he gonna get what is it?
Gym of the year.
Executive of the year. of the watch watch next year
We'll get booed. We'll get booed. I'm gonna get booed the whole year and then rewarded at the end
You think they're gonna be one or two?
Hell no, so we asked the chat who's the best team in Texas sixty three percent said the Rockets
24% said the Mavs 13% say Victor when Bama in the San Antonio
Rockets, 24% say the Mavs, 13% say Victor Wimbiamma in the San Antonio. So let's talk about some other moves going on with teams that are actually taking advantage
of the offseason to strengthen their rosters in the Western Conference.
Nuggets pushed OKC to seven games in the second round, but after losing that series, they've
started retooling the roster.
Yesterday, they traded Michael Porter Jr. in a 20-32 first round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Cam Johnson
actually tweeted out some footage of Joker cleaning out MPJ's locker.
We could take a look at that right now.
Yo, this should be an Olympic sport bro.
Wow. Wow. It's just a joke for me, but this was a serious move by the Nuggets.
I think the Nuggets got better with this move, sending MPJ to the nest, getting Cam Johnson
back in return.
Also freed up the cap space.
A great pickup.
That's how you show a nigga you don't like him.
He sends you to the graveyard.
You just go over there and die. He sends you to the graveyard.
He just go over there and die.
He was.
You want to go over there.
You can see it in his play though.
You can see it in his play this year that he wasn't really in tune as much.
I mean they definitely got Cam.
I mean I'm rolling.
Send him to the worst team in the league.
That Brooklyn team, him and Cam, whatever the nigger name is, it's a shooting boy.
Cam Thomas. Every time that. Every time that. Team with the visa him and can whatever they can a little shoot. Yeah, I'm Thomas
Every time that every time that yeah, empty j Mike average 28 Mike Yeah, he might ever 28 shoot that bitch a time. He got worried about passing nobody. Is he that type of player?
We watch in Seattle. No, uh, come on. We're watching him in Seattle. We're with to see him in Seattle
He's the shoe when we went to see him in Seattle? He had to shoot twice or three times. He shot that bitch every time.
He was not going in.
It ain't about winning or losing.
It wasn't a good...
So real quick on the Nets, guys.
Cam Thomas, assuming he resides in restricted free agent.
2.1 career assists per game.
Michael Porter Jr.
1.4 career assists per game.
Who will average more assists on
the Nets next season? Think about that. The dude that's averaging 2.1?
Nah, it depends on how much he gets. That's his career. He takes the lower every time
on the pickup. No, they put him at 1.5. Yeah. He might end up in double. And we'd be like,
f**k your ball, f**k your ball.
Stupid a** bounce pass.
He averaged one.
And double team.
Then he'd make the shot, then it's over.
They never put him at three.
It's always 1.5.
They never put him at two.
Two and a half.
No, they're gonna put him at two and a half.
He's sitting there like, man.
Getting that.
So, just looking at this move, what does it tell you
that Denver was willing to attach a first round
pick to this trade?
Get off that money.
Get off of that player.
Oh, they gave him a first round pick, too?
Yeah.
So if you're like 20, 31 or some shit.
And they're trying to stay.
I mean, they're trying to.
I mean, long as you have your kids,
you're trying to stay in that championship window.
Yeah, that's not just possible.
You got you, Marlbury, still. You got Tim Hardaway, Jr. So we're talking about something. You're trying to stay in that championship window
So we'll talk about something added Bruce Brown a well Bruce Brown as well yesterday for agency and this is wrong came back Yeah, he came back
This just in Tim Hardaway, Jr. Also going to the Nuggets on a one-year deal
So are the Nuggets back in championship contention out west with this squad?
Again, took the Thunder to seven games.
We're dealing with some injuries in that series.
I ain't gotta bring back Russ.
Is Russ on the team still or no?
Russ is.
I think he's opting out, right?
Yeah, he's opting out.
Russ is opting out.
That boy going over to him, man.
There have been some chatter about Russ potentially
to the Rockets, some other teams looking at him as well.
That's somebody to pass it to.
I mean, they're filling in that hole of
shooting for shooting.
You can't double now.
Cam hits him.
All that, all that.
Them two, yeah.
Cam gonna shoot that.
They gonna make them shit, too.
What is his career?
He ain't passing that motherfucking meeting.
I don't think he needs it.
He loads it.
He's like, he's got to. He's low, he's like.9.
He's like.9.
He's like.9.
He's like.9.
He's like.9.
He's like.9.
I mean, I mean, he a low assist guy too.
I mean, you got, yo, I just, I just, you need to make it.
Yeah, absolutely.
I'm a gay agent.
I'm going to you shoot.
I'm going to get it there.
They need more.
I, they need more.
To Michael Porter's credit.
They need more.
Like what?
They need another center?
Yeah, you gotta catch and shoot.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Back up from center?
Mm-hmm. Yeah, DeAndre Jordan was a free agent.
He left?
They got Valetrunes.
Did they pick him up?
They just got Valetrunes.
That's a good backup.
That's a great backup, actually.
Fuck around with your motherfuckers
in at the same time.
For sure.
Straight up.
Because Valetrunes ain't no motherfuckers' flop.
Christian Brown?
Yeah.
Brown and Brown.
So Brown and Brown, they got Bruce Brown and Christian
Brown, they two same players.
They gotta get a young boy, man, an opportunity
to see what he can do, man.
Point guard?
No, Watson.
We gotta see what he can do.
What about the straw?
What's his dudes?
Strother, Strawer?
Julian Strother?
Is that his name, Strother?
Point guard?
Yeah, I know.
I know. Man. I want to see the young boy. Got a commercial. Julian Strawhard. Is that his name? Strawhard? Point guard? I know.
I want to see the young boy.
Got a commercial.
They need some athletes.
Gordon coming back, hopefully he healthy.
You know, what are you doing?
He too young.
Watson's too young, bro.
You can tell he don't know what he be out there doing.
No, it was right coaching and all that shit.
He'd be all right, man.
But it seems like the Nuggets understood
what the championship went on.
Like more of a defensive man.
Yes, cause he ain't developed.
He's raw.
He's raw as fuck.
And he's not putting him in offensive play.
He's going to stick around in his league.
Listen, everybody can't shoot that motherfucker, man.
But you need to be able to shoot that motherfucker.
He can make shots.
He shoots him when these fucking opportunities come.
But if that ain't what they're telling him to do in order
to keep his job and stay on his team, then you're
going to do what you motherfucker' gotta do to stick around.
Like, that's all I'm sayin'.
Like, you gotta find your niche in this league, man.
Like, whatever it is, if you wanna stick around
and be consistent and have a job,
you gotta, hey, whatever you do best
and whatever they askin' of you.
They always gonna have a job for a shooter, I know that.
And they always gonna have a job for a motherfucker
who'll get stopped, too.
Yeah, you shoot that bitch, that bitch bitch go in they got a job for you
You run around chase motherfuckers the last thing to go like what the Nuggets are doing on the ground joke, right though
Come on away. Yeah. Yeah, didn't come on the game
Yeah, cuz it was out Malik before he came off the bench Malik came off first. Yeah, and then they
Got Malik came off the bench. Malik came off first, yeah. And then they split. He was the middle of the year. Tell them how hard we're doing this.
They ain't got Malik or Tim.
Detroit, yeah, they missing two.
Two sharp shooters.
Mm.
They might be around Detroit.
Look, heading into this past season,
MPJ said this could be the Nuggets' last dance.
Turns out he was 100% accurate.
You said, go ahead and win, you know?
What? You see how he was playing? He had the ACN three. He had the one withgets last dance turns out he was 100% accurate. You see how he was playing?
He had the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, dance for the Nuggets. This is the last dance for you. When we seen one other light-skinned niggas had a black eye, we realized.
And it stopped.
What?
You see, he just woke up the next day.
He just, hey, man, so Russell is great for us.
As if all of us was.
He's good for us.
That's why he's like, man.
My guy was on his side.
Niggas like, we didn't get nothing.
He behind the motherfucker.
Niggas all on their own. And the other one over there.
Again.
And the other one over there, the way he was talking
was like, all right, so you out here, man.
We get it.
He didn't want to be there.
Yeah.
No, they didn't want him there.
It just seemed like people lost the spark
in trying to win around here.
Everybody ain't working hard around here.
Remember he was off.
But he didn't want to be there though.
Western Conference will remain stacked.
As we said, a lot of teams in the Western Conference
making good moves to strengthen their roster.
Others had other priorities.
Man, I'm trying to see.
3 p.m. Monday when the agency started.
And I done sent.
Y'all did make a move though write I don't send a huh?
Yeah, I don't say I don't see any
Yeah, absolutely when it's that fast absolutely
It don't like it
Don't say the other seat would say the other seat absolutely and that's great. I'm in DM and going how long
At least if they are you often 20?
I've been DMing. Oh
What is it
So this is my theory right go ahead if it's less than like four days oh
You go. Okay. Oh longer than four days. They do it. They tied up they came. That's my theory. I
Don't know if that's a smug positive or negative We got Boy you could have been a start over here you want to be a bitch nigga on the way You're gonna win! That's fake.
Boy, you could have been a starter over here. You wanna be a bitch nigga on the way.
What a sister team.
You could have been a starter with the Lakers.
You wanna be a bitch nigga with the sister team.
Didn't he already play for the Lakers already before?
Oh, he sure did.
He already played for the Lakers.
Cool, he could have played again.
2017-18 season.
He could have played again. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we got rid ofakers. Cool, he could have played again. 2017-18 season. He could have played again.
Oh, yeah, he sure did.
Yeah, we got him to win a championship.
That's why he ain't...
We could have brought you back to win a championship is what we just said.
Okay, okay.
All right, so one last piece of Nuggets business before we get to mostly fans.
So Nuggets president Josh Cronkite spoke on how quickly things changed in the NBA last
week in a press conference and included an interesting comment about the Joker as well.
You know, I think that for us as an organization, going into that second apron is not necessarily
something that we're scared of.
I think that there are rules around it that we needed to be very careful of with our injury
history.
The wrong person gets injured and very quickly you're into a scenario where that I never want to have
to contemplate and that's trading number 15.
And so, you know, we're very conscious of that pushing forward and, you know,
providing the resources that we can when the moment arrives.
But that second apron, is it a hard cap?
I'm not 100% sure, but it's something
that teams are obviously very aware of going forward
So trading number 15 number 15 being Nikola yokic
Immediately after Cronkite's comments the Nuggets went into damage control
Saying this is from Ben tender their executive VP of basketball ops recently promoted said
I would just urge you to listen to the quote again because if you listen to it you realize Josh didn't say that
And we would never trade Nikola
but should Josh Cronkite regret his choice of words talking about the second second apron saying if
The wrong player goes down. We might have to ponder
Getting rid of their franchise player Nikola Jokic
He's telling you the business of basketball I mean, I mean it's just true
He's telling you the business of basketball. I mean, it's just true.
If somebody got hurt and it actually stops their chances of winning,
then you're talking about rebuild,
and then from there you got to offload assets.
And if your biggest asset or your two biggest assets is Murray and Jokic,
and if Murray gets hurt, basically,
if Murray gets hurt and it kind of messes up the rest of this this team
Then we are forced to try to get under this
I mean it makes I mean business wise it's I mean we understand that part of it where you know once
We're just watching it with you know Boston
Mmm-hmm. I ain't sitting at all shit fire say, fire sale, man. God damn, fire sale, who wants something?
Tell me what you want, put a bid in.
Everybody want a bid in.
Put a bid in, put a bid in.
Well, it's not weird.
All these owners are selling and then all these teens
making these crazy moves all at once, shaking the shit up.
We ain't never seen it shook it up like this
because Joker going to the Lakers.
No.
Joker going to the Lakers?
Two years maybe.
Oh, 27.
47.
That's like that.
Joker going to play with Luka.
Huh?
Joker going to play with Luka for sure.
Yeah, three years maybe.
All right.
John is going to go to, Johnah's gonna go to the state.
I think that...
Who though? Steph only got two more years.
He'll go to this state.
He'll extend it for two more years.
Go to New York.
I've been to New York before I did that.
You go to New York before you go to this Golden State?
Steph would be crazy.
But Steph is what? Two more years?
Four more years.
Yeah.
The way he playing?
Yonah's put two more years on there.
I'm just raising the price.
But just think about the shake up.
Think about how that shakes up.
Does Jimmy stay?
Yes.
So you keep Jimmy and you keep Draymond?
No.
They just hold.
Yeah.
Oh.
Mmm.
Yeah, I mean, you gotta say, I mean, if you in the business of making money, you got to say, I mean, if you're in the business of making money, you got to
sell because this is most of these guys that like Jenny, right?
In reality, she's probably the richest owner now from the original cruise because most
of those guys were selling for 300 million, 400, 500, right?
You got to think about Bob Johnson then.
That's before them.
That's that crew.
So she is the head honcho of this.
Like, so when you're talking about these guys spending four, five, six, 10 billion,
they can't sell for a minute.
Because there's, their margin is too high so
now they got these guys got all stick in for the next 15-20 years until that
price goes up so now from there is you got to feed the beast there's only one
beast you can feed to get this everybody's profit up there's nothing you
can do in Milwaukee to raise the price of everybody. It's only the Lakers. Once Lakers high everybody just, you know what I mean?
It's an upward effect. So the Lakers being able to be the richest out of the original
crew, right? So all the origin, now you got these new owners
buying in that don't know nothing about the original crew,
the culture of the original crew,
which is how the NBA moved, right?
And now we've been shaking up, Dallas shake up,
certain things have turned shit on its head.
Like, we ain't never seen this, y'all ain't communicating,
y'all doing shit like this.
This is because these outside entities are coming in with no
knowledge of how the shit operates so now the players have to adjust fans got
to adjust that's what I'm saying about the shakeup like this is a whole reset
because you're seeing shit happen and we we never this ain't how we do business
this is how we do business before no this is how we do business. Before. No, this is how we do business. It's just at money time.
When they got Magic Johnson, won, then got Worthy, won, that right there is setting standards.
I'm not talking about the Lakers.
I'm talking about individual.
I'm talking about just all together, NBA business.
I'm talking about we never seen a player like Dane get waived.
Because they...
We just never seen a player like Dane get waved. Because they...
We just never seen certain things.
We never seen a player like Luca
outside of a Shaq trade like that.
To be like, y'all would do that?
What?
And no explanation, no clear understanding.
So these shake-ups are happening
because the owners are coming in and don't give a fuck.
There's new owners and it's new.
No, they know, because to get into this business,
the only way you can make money is if the lead dog leads.
Right?
If something happens to, like, if the number one franchise is,
let's say, New York Knicks and Lakers,
if Lakers did a dumb deal and sold for five billion, everybody's worth
has to drop. Naturally. So if you're Dallas and you're worth four billion
dollars and you give Luca up and they sell for let's say ten billion, you're
you automatically are worth five to six billion. So that deal
Made you money just like it made the bucks money. Let just like it made memphis everything trickles up so
Worst case scenario if you want to make money send your asset got them into the lakers
So the nets if we can get the Lakers to worth 20 billion,
everybody's trickling up.
That's just.
So when the Nets took over,
I don't remember the dude's name,
when he went and got Paul Pierce, KG,
and all that, had all that money, right?
How did that pan out for this new owner that came in?
It's fool's gold.
He thought you just go out here
and you just pay for a championship.
Thought he was gonna copy the model.
Then you got another owner to try to do the same thing with the Clippers.
You're just going to bring in here and get all this money and pay for all these players.
I'm going to buy a championship.
No, you're not.
It's not how it works.
I'm trying.
You're trying.
You're trying.
That's all you got to do.
But it becomes repetitive because the owners are looking at the model like, just go get
a bunch of big players and like he's saying the conversion on paper, we making money on
paper but it just looks like a failed mission in reality.
It's a failed mission for sure.
So that's what I'm saying about fucking up the whole shit with the outside coming in.
They're changing the landscape of how business is done so everybody's, you're looking at
trades being made, everything is fucked up.
There ain't no consistency,
because they come in trying to buy it out.
They're trying to buy championships.
That's what, I mean, that's the players and the what's-her-name.
Like it's, who's the last old owner?
13, 2013?
Is there a original owner still? Probably Blazers?
Because Cuban sold?
No.
What you sell for?
But isn't that, that's not family still in it?
The buses.
Orlando, right?
Cronkies.
Probably the buses.
Harrison, Mickey Harrison.
Miami.
Mickey, Miami.
Okay, so Mickey, oh and New York.
Dolan. Dolan.
Dolan.
He ain't never gonna sell.
I mean he will probably, but just when it gets to like 20 something billion.
Herb Simon.
Yeah, Herb Simon.
Yeah, see so guys like that, like if he's gonna sell, he's gonna sell within the next
two years because that franchise is worth how many billion?
Let me see that.
Five, two, three, four? four like three to four four three point six
I'm really value that three point six billion three point six billion. He could probably get four point five right now
We need to buy that motherfucker. Oh, he was doing he bought that motherfucker late like so he bought it for about less than 20 million
Yeah, yeah, like 11 so to get into it to get in sports now
You need head fun money
This is they're becoming billionaires because that was their business then.
Like basketball was their main business back then.
So, this is their sellout making all this profit, right?
The game of basketball is being abandoned
from the executive standpoint
because the information is not being passed along
to these new guys like this is how we do business.
They running it like a corporate business.
Who, this one? The new owners, the new owners are operating like a sea level
they're like they're running it more like if you if you think about the old
history and now the ones that's buying now are winning faster than way back
when back then it was business these guys are buying they're trying to buy
championships like like these it seemed like these are more fans coming in that actually like somewhat like basketball but they don't know what to buy championships. Like, it seems like these are more fans coming in
that actually somewhat like basketball.
But they don't know what to buy.
They're trying to buy the championships,
but they don't know what it takes to buy it.
They're just throwing money out there.
They're like, let's go get this, let's go get this.
Fuck the luxury tax.
Let's go get this, overpay him.
What are we doing?
You look back and you're like,
we just threw shit at the wall, hoping it'd stick.
And you know shit, don't do nothing but think.
They said it was like, Clippers are, you know, shit.
If it would have worked out, if they was helping.
Did you say if?
I'm saying, it could have worked out.
They just won a championship before he signed.
He was in Toronto then signed here.
I would have did the same thing if I had a chance to sign Kawhi.
Mm-hmm.
What about Paul Jordan?
Same.
Paul Jordan was an ABP candidate that year.
And then James Carton?
I would have did the same thing with him.
And then James Carton?
Top 75?
Got him on pennies on a dollar.
Got him taking pink cuts.
How did that work out?
Everybody, only one person wins.
Answer my question.
Only one person wins.
Just tell me how did it work out?
It was game seven against Denver.
Huh?
Game seven against Denver. How did it work out though?
So they still got James so what was a sign to your 80 million?
What else can you can you get James? Oh, I just want to know how did it work out?
Cuz boss and I didn't work out and work out it worked out
Did they win so?
Okay, I was just making you know where you ain't about winning no more I thought no but he's don't matter It worked out. It made it to the playoff. Did they win? So, if you want a chance to get out of the water.
Okay, I was just making sure.
So you know where you at.
It ain't about winning no more, I thought.
Rings don't matter.
Right?
Rings don't matter, remember?
My bad.
You're just trying to figure out how many
owners that was buying, you many owners that came in, buying, how many actually
– because I know Bucks, Golden State.
Who's fucking up in Philly?
Who's that owner?
Dallas.
So the new owners in the Golden State, they won right after they came in?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Who was that?
What was the name of the family?
It was cool.
The Warriors owners.
Lakeup and – Lakeup.
Yeah, they won two championships, right?
Soon as they came in.
Yeah.
Let me see.
That'd be dope.
So then the Warriors, so the Bugs two?
Bugs two.
Ownership came in and won right away?
Yeah.
Lakers when they come in and win.
So Laker bought them in 2010.
You say they just changed ownership?
Oh, he's one of them.
It's three different ownerships.
They have a new one now.
So I think Mark sold his.
So he sold after three years?
Yeah, after he won the championship, he got out.
Oh, shit.
And quickly.
Yeah, quickly.
And then now they have three new owners.
So now this new owner will be taking over.
Then they got another owner that takes over three years.
That's why the teams.
But they still own it, right?
But they switch who has the control base,
or they did previously until I think Haslem came in.
Interesting.
I don't know how it's breaking down now, but.
I think that's the lot.
I think that's where it fucks up too,
cause you have three different owners, so.
The game is the game.
Wait, so they switched who got control over the team?
Yeah, every three years.
Yeah, that's how they did pre,
but one of them sold their stake to Haslem.
Mark, right?
Yeah.
So there's the Warriors, the Bucks,
Denver had the Cronkies for a while.
I mean, how many other young,
I don't think they making the greatest decisions.
I just think they blind throwing shit
and just being corporate.

They got Lonzo Ball.
No, I'm just saying that's it.
That's a big gig.
Jello Ball's brother.
What the fuck?
I must word.
But Denver just got what? How many more pieces?
A lot.
Lakers just got two new pieces.
Three. It ain't got two new pieces.
Three.
It ain't been announced yet though,
so you got to wait till it's announced.
Dallas?
Yonis?
Dallas.
I thought we just said Dallas.
Yonis.
Cause they said Houston first, so besides Houston.
Dallas.
They say Dallas.
The Hawks don't slip.
Orlando. Orlando. Oh, Knicksicks. Nicks. Clarkson. Clarkson and they do that dunk on my brow. Gershon Ubecelli. Yeah.
Spurs. I don't know his name.
We're short on time. Well as you can, we have the 4th of July decorations here in
Gills Arena presented by Underdog.
We will be off the next couple days getting some much needed rest, celebrating with our
families, taking time during this holiday to reflect, to also see if the Lakers make
any more moves to give us more confidence coming back.

few days don't show up on the YouTube channel get all pissed off.
Yo what's up with them ranking Katelyn Clark 9 among guards though?
That is a level of hate that Trey Young has seen.
Facts.
Player ranking?
Did he believe with the-
Did he rank her what?
A player's rank, Kaitlyn Clark, the ninth best guard.
In the WBA.
Ninth?
I was about to say ninth best player.
Guard.
Guard?

Was she started?
Oh, media.
What did media rank her?
Five?
Six?
You already know.
Or nine, too.

her one didn't nine no fans three three

Okay, so players still in their feelings.
Kaylin Kobe's...
It was picking her up full court in the All-Star game and they ain't gonna say she nine.
You picking her up full court in the All-Star game?
They thought she was sweet.
Weird.
Y'all, why y'all knocking her on the floor and shit?
Why y'all doing all this shit?
It can't be that good.
It's the Kobe.
The shoes?

Her voice was 1.7, I believe.
No, what I'm saying is,
when she wasn't playing,
it went back
To what it was before
Her by herself as an awesome all-star voting
She out voted all the rest of them combined
But I know that's that's just her having the hype her name. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's gonna do it game
No, what I'm saying is so if so just more popular if you take the most popular
That everyone's fucking with her if you take her off the court
