Good.
Good to go.
Productive weekend.

Some issues were resolved.
Some issues were ignited.
A lot of stuff going on.
But this is Gills Arena presented by Underdog.
I'm merely your host, Josiah Johnson.
And as always, we got the NBA.
An NBA 2K content creator.
No, no, no.
No, no.
You can switch back.
NBA 2K legend.
Yeah, yeah.
You're a realtor.
You're here with us.
You're a legend now?
Ring 16.
I was one of the 16 players shows from California to be in the Creators League.
Uh-oh.
You feel me?
Congrats to Gil.
16.
Only in California or top 16 in California?
But every state gets 16?
I don't know.
Wait, wait.
The Creators League.
Because Wyoming can't get 16.
They can get one and a half.
I know.
I know.
Because a lot of.
Okay.
Happy to hear that.
Is it?
Turn.
It's by skill.
Okay.
I'm just saying like you're about 1540 up.
No, no.
Oh, yeah.
And then I just beat
senior division today.
Again.
Get him in a championship.
Well.
Easy work.
That's how it goes.
Triple double.
One assists off.
See the next to go.
We got NBA champion of the world swaggy.
Pied Nick Young back in the world.
That's great.
Swaggy.
A lot going on in your world.
Yeah, man.
We may get to some of that this week.
You got a lot of things.
people coming at you. I'll just keep it real.
You're great, you know.
Every year at you?
Yeah, I'm just, you know.
Every year is somebody though in the couch.
Multiple this time.
But on this side of the couch,
we got the distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff,
former number one pick, Kenyon Martin,
back here with him.
And representing tough crowd
and a card-carrying country club member,
we got Mr. B, Brandon Jennings here.
Here.
Oh!
Ho!
Tiger Wool.
We got a lot to discuss on this doubleheader today.
We got arena gridiron coming up after us, but here's what's cracking in Gill's arena today.
LeBron's double-digit scoring streak came to an end, but the Wash King showed he still has something left in the tank.
Do the purple and gold have enough to be contenders in the West?
Some people close to the Lakers have some interesting opinions we will discuss.
Duelan Bid has been battling injuries again playing less than half.
playing less than half of the team's games this season.
How should the Sixers approach utilizing the former MVP moving forward?
And Kevin Durant joined a prestigious club of legendary bucket getters.
Where does this offensive skill set stack up against the all-time grates?
But before we get into all that, as always, this episode is presented by Underdog.

So we've got to start with the biggest story from the weekend.
After nearly 19 years in an NBA record, 1,27 straight games,
scoring in double figures, LeBron Street came to an end in the most LeBron way possible.
Let's take a look.
Just make sure you get the last shot in regulation.
So sitting at eight points with a chance to keep the first.
streak alive in the final moments of a game against the Raptors in Toronto. LeBron
said nay. Dimeed up Rui Hachamore to make the right basketball play scores high to
120. Rui hit a buzzer beating three to give the Lakers a win in the city appropriately
nicknamed LeBronto. Ah, you see it. So, Brown struggled offensive in the game, going
4-17 from the field, missing all five of his three-point
but he did have 11 assists with no turnovers.
Obviously the most important of those assists.
This pass to Rui Hotamora.
It's the end of the error, ladies and gentlemen.
I always love seeing Brown make the right basketball play.
So afterwards, Brown offered these thoughts
about ending his double-digit scoring streak
with a game-winning assist.
Playing the game the right way.
You always make the right play.
That's just been my M.O.
That's how I was taught the game.
I've done that my whole career.
There was not even one second guessing that.
Once they doubled AR and the ball got sworn to me,
I know it's a numbers game.
We got a four and three advantage.
And I was just trying to put the ball on time on target
and right in a ruy socket in his shot pocket and he knocked it down.
Now that the streak hasn't ended for you,
what feelings did you have, if any, what about it you do?
None.
We won.
Have you been covering my career?
you know, I've always, I'll just make the right play.
That's all the matters.
Win, lose, a draw.
You make the right play, the game guys have always, always given back to me.
No matter if there's a win or loss or whatever, that's just how I was raised,
and that's how I always play the game.
That's how he was raised, and that's how he plays the game.
Braun's double-digit scoring streak went from January 6, 2007,
all the way through December 1st, 2025.
That's nearly 7,000 days.
And Bronn has more finals appearances than single-digit scoring games.
in his career.
So Gil start with you.
Do you respect LeBron for sacrificing his double duty to scoring streak to get the win?
Okay, as a player, as a player, I'm just saying, the game is tired, though, you know what
mean?
I miss that shot.
We can go to overtime or I can make it, I can be the hero, but, you know, let's just be
honest.
What he did is why he gets knocked for not being Kobe or Jordan, right?
They use this as he's not a killer.
If he misses, if Rui misses it, they blame LeBron for making the open right pass of basketball.
So, you know, you have to celebrate when he does, and they do hit it, right?
You're talking about the game is on the line, right?
if win is the most important part of the game
then he made the winning play and he got rewarded
right is either win a game or win your street
he chose game
I wouldn't have
we're going overtime and then I deal with that in overtime
I mean he was 4 for 17 so I mean the nigger was playing bad
he had chances he tried to get double digits I know he had chances
I mean I'm just saying 4 for 17 going to go for 525 you know
in overtime, but, you know, he chose the right play, and that's what his career is about.
And he doesn't get credit for that because greatness from past, what greatness is,
is making those shots by yourself.
So he don't get compared to making the right play.
He gets flak for that.
And, you know, obviously he'll take that win and keep it moving.
Shift over to the side of the couch canyon watching LeBron in that game.
8 points, chance to go to 10, make the right basketball play, Ruiz Hatrimor, get the win.
He had plenty of chance to get the team.
Like, yeah, you'd be, well, you'd be killing me with your wording sometimes, Joe.
LeBron sacrificed his scoring streak.
No, he did not.
He could have went to the bucket, he got a leg up.
No, the dude jumped in front of him.
No, he didn't.
He couldn't have got to the basket.
It's LeBron, can you?
But, no, man, this is.
Like he said, man, he'd make the right play always, man.
And to Gil's point, if Rui misses it, it's bronze fault.
Like, just what it is.
It's just what it is.
It went in.
You know, he's always leaned on that.
So,
pause of denialability, right?
When you, I made the right play.
If you were in bronze position in that moment,
you're going to make the right play as well?
Yeah, because what was he going to do?
Right, I mean, later.
Forced to pull up, like, you're 4 for 17 at that point.
It ain't going.
Make it 4 for 17.
You're 4 of 17 at that point.
Him, knowing him, he is not going to shoot that.
So he made the play that he was normally going to make, that he always makes.
So, yeah, now, I mean, that builds team morale.
That builds confidence in Roe when the game is on the line.
So, no, that's dope.
I mean, he's also done this before, though.
I think he's had this situation up in OKC.
Remember when he passed the ball to someone else and they think he was on Miami.
So, I mean, every time LeBron's in this situation, I think his basketball IQ is always high,
so he's going to make the right decision regardless.
You can go back to when he got the block in game seven against the Warriors.
You know, got the block, you know, got it to Kyrie.
It's the right decision.
He could have went and got the ball, but, you know, he just understands moments.
And that's always been, that's always one thing I've loved about Bron.
Like, he understands when to go and when to make the right play.
You can tell that's why he's doing the right thing, so his career ended in the right way.
If you're going to end your streak, you'll end it in that type of fashion.
Karma is on his side, you know.
If he would miss that shot, he'd have been talking negative about him.
You know, he's always treated the game right, did the right things,
continue to do the right things over 20-some years in the NBA.
That's why you got to consider them to go, man.
You know it's funny?
I'm just be honest with you.
From the basketball side, that was a win-win situation.
And you make the pass because it doesn't cost you if you miss it.
Right?
The score is tied.
It's not like you're down one and I got to throw that bitch to Rui, right?
It's a tie game.
So if I make it and he misses it, we go to overtime, right?
There's no one talks about that because.
As long as we went in overtime, no one's going to say anything.
So it's not like the actual game was on the line and there was a result.
You had five more minutes to play if Ruy misses that.
So that's not the same type of pressure if you're down one or down two and you're making that play.
Well, he's still going to throw it over there.
Yeah, he's still going to throw it over.
I know he did it against us.
He's throwing the ball over there.
Trust what I'm saying.
He's been in this situation before, so I don't know why.
But I mean, we don't need to say pressure like that.
There ain't no pressure because you get over time.
overtime is on your side.
That is the easiest game winner to take
is if you miss it,
you're going over time.
Yeah, but he would have missed it all time out.
That's what I was going to ask you.
How much faith do you think Brian actually had
in Rui making that shot?
He wasn't going overtime.
You were watching on playback,
rest of peace to playback as well.
That's a whole other conversation,
but you were watching on playback.
You're good with his watch party.
We talked about I had to jump on
for this historical moment,
but how much faith do you think Brian actually had
in Rui taking that shot?
He had a lot of faith.
Because he passed it.
But like you said, score tied.
So if you miss.
Yeah, but I mean, we get five more minutes.
Right, it's, you know, I'm pretty sure he wasn't a pass and it's a certain other players on that team.
Right, I don't get fuck.
Who was in that corner?
But, you know, he trusted Rudy would take the shot.
You know, if he misses it, we go to overtime.
But he trusted the guy to take it.
That's why he passed it.
Rudy has been shooting well from the corner.
He's shooting 50%.
So he is the best shooter on the court.
And, you know, percentage-wise.
So, not like he shot to pass that bitch.
Did he play very well?
No, I'm just saying from the three.
If he was sitting at the three, I mean, now you're questioning shot,
but that really is the best shooter on the team.
From that corner.
So, you know, he in the corner.
Numbers game, like he said.
So as I mentioned prior to last Thursday,
the last time LeBron scored under 10 points in the NBA game
was January 5th, 2007.
Bronte was two years old.
Beyonce's irreplaceable was the top song on the charts.
The iPhone wasn't really.
Police Jet and Gil that very night, January 5th, 2007, you had your million dollar 25th birthday party.
Yeah.
Let's take a look.
Look at Gil.
Oh, that ain't since then?
Yeah.
Mary and Berry was in attendance.
The Coke in his nose.
It's a nose.
Star-Suttered Affair nearly 7,500 guests, performances by Little Wayne, T.I., Buster Rhymes, in game.
Buster Rimes.
Yeah, it was.
Like I said?
Hallelujah.
God.
You're doing Bill.
The word was inattended.
Also, should be noted, who was that party hosted by?
Um, P. Diddy at that point.
No, no, no.
It was P. Diddy at that point.
P. Diddy, when he came to LA, I got, he was in New York then.
2007.
Was it a year?
2007.
Yeah.
He was puffed.
Nick.
Daddy.
Oh.
No.
No.
His name was Puff.
Daddy.
You party with him.
No, it wasn't P. Diddy, no, Mr. Love, no P. Dot Diddy.
Whatever his name is.
I want some love.
When they start changing their names, that's where you got to watch out.
It was puffing.
Daddy, he still had the puff in his name.
When they started changing his name, you got to start watching out.
There was no Cassie yet.
When they started changing their name, you got to watch out.
I'm just, I'm just being honest.
It wasn't Cassius, so none of these claims was in in motion.
When they start their chance.
That's what you know something.
This shit.
I'm like, brother love.
Like, wait a minute.
Brother, what?
Brother love.
One of the original freakoffs, if you will.
But, you know, in all sincerity, what was the motivation to throw a million-dollar party for your 21st birthday?
I was trying to be famous.
How did it benefit you on and off the course?
So Adidas, so I was trying to get a new contract from Adidas, and they said my name wasn't big enough.
Even though I was already a two-time all-star, two-time NBA player.
They just said, yeah, your aculeys is there.
but your name ain't.
So then I set with PR group, Sasha Jones,
and we came up with an idea to get some buzz.
And it was basically throw this big celebrity party
around our, get ready for All-Star Weekend,
and then everybody's voting.
So then I hit Little Wayne up first,
he told me he don't do parties, right?
You know what I mean?
So he was like, you gotta get a host first.
Once you land a host, so I hit Jay-Z,
And he said, like $500,000.
And he said, because I don't want to do it.
So I'm just going to hype my number up.
And if you give it to me, look it, I'll take it.
And then he said, you know, ask beyond.
I said, what's her?
$700,000.
Look at what?
So he was like, ask me.
He said, ask Puff.
Puff is the party king.
He'll have your shit hype once you label, once you get his name, then everybody else will follow.
And sure enough, I got the, I got Puff to sign off, and then everything else fell in order.
How much was that for Puff?
$250,000.
Damn.
It was $250,000.
So it was supposed to be just a million.
part that ended up being a two million dollars.
It was $2 million because I had all the flights,
so I did a deal with, uh, uh,
what's their line blue?
JetBlue.
I did a, uh, I did a deal with a, uh,
jet blue to fly, to have private flights
for everybody to come from LA and New York.
And then I rented out two, four seasons,
two four seasons, every room in four seasons.
A season, we're not doing.
And then I had, I had, I had,
I had, I had American,
I had American Express.
Black Card.
Black Card collab with me,
and they sent the invitations with their name on it.
So it was my face, their name,
and that was the invite.
Hey, Gil, you're not paying a $7.50 for Vianz?
No.
At that point, irreplaceable, good.
No, no, no, because they said they don't want to do it.
Yeah, but they height, they number up so much
that they don't want to do it,
and it was more about trying to get their awareness,
So at that time, it's all right, you know.
And I was thinking, no, I was thinking if I'm thinking, Beyonce, though,
you're getting, you're getting all the votes.
Like, Beyonce, but I got all the votes.
Yeah, but you're getting.
I mean, yeah, yeah, they're still worked out.
All-Star voting behind the way and way for guard.
So what ends up happening is I took, I took over, I beat out Vince Carter to be the starter
in the All-Star and then ended up signing a $40 million deal.
And I was only asking for two.
They didn't even want to give me two.
So I ended up signing a $40 million deal in Vegas, and then...
Don't get the Elvis is as well.
I mean, I end up losing that, you know, when I decided to get on the ground.
No, no, I mean, it worked out.
No, I'm just saying you end up spending $2 million at the...
Yeah, spent $2 million in $2 million in Vince Carter.
Yeah, I'm definitely spending that $7.50.
You know, they said Vince back then was having signing parties.
For sure.
Right, where they were having signing autograph parties, where they were signing, so I did the same thing.
They seem to work out, $40 million.
That's party ever in D.C.
But I say, take from someone who liked the party in my day.
Two million?
Then you had to prove with me.
I'm doing that.
Yeah, too, yeah.
I'm doing it.
For Beyonce?
$750 for show for her.
No, I'm just saying to win all-star vote.
Everybody else, I got to figure out how to get here.
To win all-star votes and it ended up happening, so.
Yeah, I mean, yeah.
It ended up happening.
I was only asking for $2 million.
I was just like that.
Things that people cherish.
It was $8 million.
It was $8 million.
million dollars for four years.
No.
Fucked them all's 12 votes.
So to me, that's you 40 million, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I'm saying it worked out.
No, it worked out perfectly.
And then that's when my name became real big and, you know.
Always good to go back down.
They were going to get, Beyonce.
Did they spend the fraction.
Say a lot.
What they get?
A fraction.
Three million at first?
No, they were trying to get.
It was a $8 million for four years, so a four-year, $8 million
deal.
And they said no to that.
Damn.
Then he threw the party.
Then it turned into an 8 for 40.
Yep.
That's big bread.
Then you already had a shoe with them by that time.
Yeah.
And he was only offering you $8 million.
And you had a shoe and all that.
That's crazy.
No, no, no, no.
Nigger, they said no on the four-year.
They said no.
What a shoe?
By now?
I had a shoe in the store.
Yeah, I was still under there.
So I was a free agent.
Yeah.
So I have a signature shoe.
Yeah.
But I was only making, what, $250 to $500,000.
So my contract was coming up.
We was at two millionaires like, yeah, your name ain't big enough for two million a year.
Ah, damn.
How your name ain't big enough for two men, but you got a signature shoe?
That's what I'm saying.
The fuck sisters that make.
Well, these people that make these marketing, see these decisions with these comments are fucking crazy.
Give him a shoe, but name ain't big now.
They ain't big enough.
Shit on with the other way around.
Right?
Don't go the other way, you got to get your name big, then they get your shoe?
Yeah.
The fuck is wrong with people.
7,500 people.
Congratulations, Gil, shit.
Wait a day.
Good job.
7500.
Same argument, huh?
Yeah, well, good job, shit.
Well, let's keep it moving.
So after taking an L in Beantown to the Celtics on Friday on the second night of a back-to-back,
Purple and Gold had their regular starting lineup back-in-action Sunday in Philly against the Sixers
with Luca back with the team after dipping to Slovenia for the birth of his second child
and LeBron back in action after injury, managing.
in Boston. The King in Slovenian Jesus put on a show while putting Philly in a pack.
Let's take a look at the highlights if we can, please.
So Luke can show minimal signs of rust after missing the past two games.
Came through with 19 points in the first half, ended with 31 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists
for his second triple double this season.
And Brian was doing this thing as well.
Starting a new double district, continuing the United States.
Double-digit scoring streak.
Tyrus Maxie led the Sixers with 28 and nine dimes
while Joelle and Bean struggled to find his offense.
Finishing with 16 points on 4 of 21 shooting,
including 0 for 8 from distance.
And B did hit all eight of his free throws, though.
And Austin Reeves struggled as well,
putting up a season low 11 points
on three of 16 shooting.
Sixers on top early.
They led by about seven at the break.
Lakers started to find their rhythm
In the second half, LeBron showed he can still get buckets at a high level and distribute that thing.
He had a season high, 29 points 12 of 17 shooting, including four of six from beyond the arc, along with seven boards and six dimes.
But, clutch time, he really shined.
Brown scored 12 to that 29, fourth quarter, 10 of those points coming in the clutch.
He went four for four from the field in that time frame, doing his thing.
And after being hit in a jump at times, he's up with a minute remaining.
Bronn continued his damage with back-to-back buckets to put the Lakers up five.
Lucas sealed the win with a pair of free throws.
LeBron came through the defense assignment, almost like he knew what the Sixers were doing.
He told the Lakers know how to what was going to happen, proceeded to get the steel.
Lakers improved a league leading 8-0 in clutch games this season.
Purple and Gold's first win in Philly in eight years.
Brown also moved in the second place all time.
The regular season wins list, breaking a tie with Robert Parrish, with 1,015 career.
wins just 59 behind Kareem's NBA record. While extending his double
due to scoring streak and games played in the United States to 1,276 games, it's a
scoring streak, can't it? Where's it? You said he had, wait, wait, wait. He needs
what? What is the next goal? Most career wins by a player. How many more
wins he need for that? Trenly Kareem right now. I believe he needs 59 wins to tie him. I
I think 60 to surpass him.
He's not retiring and shit there.
That's going to happen.
Two more years.
Go to O.K.C.
One more years.
One more.
But looking at that game, that Lakers crew back in action, he got two more years.
A win is a win, I don't know.
I don't got to be the man to win the game.
Corrine wasn't the man when he was winning them games at the end.
He got him, but 59 isn't that much, though.
I know, right.
You don't need two more years for 59.
That nigga playing two more years.
No, I can't see that.
Biggest takeaway from the Lakers win over the Sixers.
Like I said, bronze season, high 29.
Lucas second triple double this season.
Austin Reef struggling was average 29 the game.
I'm in this thing.
11 points in this one.
Man, something about Philly when, like, the older guys come there.
I remember when Kobe came there, he did the same thing.
It's just something about playing out there.
I don't know what it is.
The fan base is crazy.
But you can tell, like when, as you get older, you take days off, you feel fresher,
you came out fresher, you didn't play against Boston.
He gonna need games like this.
One dunk to get his, get an old guy going, man, for sure.
One dunk, one ticket.
I don't know, at 40, that's impressive, man.
Like y'all say, at 18, that's impressive.
At 40, this is more impressive.
Not as high as he once was, but you're looking at the, you're looking at the, you're looking at this.
this Lakers squad against the Sixers,
getting back in the win column,
finishing the road trip,
two or three games.
We're your biggest takeaways
from the Lakers win over the Sixers.
I didn't,
I didn't, just be honest,
I didn't take away shit.
It's another game on their road,
on their road trip.
They got to finish it off, right?
I mean,
once they got that win in Toronto,
So, I mean, you kind of, you know, when you're talking about the West Coast trip,
the worst thing you want to do is go 0 for 4 or 1 for 3.
Sure.
Right?
So, you know, the fact that they got, what, 2, 3 wins on this road trip?
So, I got 3 game road trip with Toronto, Boston, the finish in Philly.
Yeah, so they got two, you know, so they did what they did.
The one thing they didn't want to go is 0-3.
So once they won that first game is kind of, whew.
This shit terrible now.
Three-game road trip, really?
Three-game road trip.
Like, going out east for three games?
Like, come on.
You used to be five.
What?
Seven.
Sometimes seven,
yeah.
Seven and ten.
Try that one.
The Grammy weekend?
It was like seven in a week.
I missed that one.
I missed that one.
Try that seven games in ten days for your age.
I did the five and seven.
Yes.
Do that one.
You know five and seven.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you, yeah, them two.
Yeah.
Three game road trip.
What is the seven game road trip in ten days feel like?
Hell.
For all us.
Sorry Hoopers.
Shit.
Two big bags?
Yeah.
You're back back and that thing?
Back back to back.
All back to back.
All back to back.
All back to back.
Yeah, back-to-back, day off, back-to-back, day off, back-to-back, day off and then the game.
No, that's crazy.
No, no, that's...
Try that one on for size.
Who I said, this shit crazy, man.
Like, you're gonna...
Motherfucking sitting out.
Like, three-game road trip, people sit out.
Like, no.
Like, three games, like, no, you gotta play all three of these, killer.
Yeah, but that's where they do the schedule.
Like, once...
So once they won Toronto, then it was like, all right,
We're going to take off against Boston since he's back-to-back and be fresh for Philly.
I dig it.
Yeah, but shit.
That was a hard, you know, so funny, if 40 years old from LeBron looked 40 against Toronto.
Because they had all defenders, young defenders, dudes who do lock down, right?
They lock down, as long as it, they can jump, they're athletic.
So the one team that was going to lock him up is them, right?
You got five dudes who they are playing defense, right?
I don't know where they rank.
They've got to be ranked in the top five.
Because, I mean, it's one through five playing D, and they're on the same accord.
I would rather the Boston game.
Yeah.
Boston and Philly didn't have played that game.
Yeah, I would set the fuck out that game.
I would set that one out.
Rappers currently eighth in defense.
Brandon Eagle, Barnes, all that, man,
the same size, all, listen.
But you're talking, like, the NBA schedule maker,
Celtics had a back-to-back.
Lakers have it back-to-back.
You got a Lakers' Celtics game on a Friday.
Brian said, no, I'm just saying.
He got his ass, hey, listen, that last,
that Toronto game, you got worn the fuck out.
I'm the shit.
I'm the shit, but then Lakers.
Sunday, one o'clock on.
Ficked up.
And they're leaving, and they leaving.
They leave in customs, so they don't get in at three.
They probably got in five o'clock, so, yeah, I'm sitting out this.
You're taking one of the oldest rivalries, though,
one of the most marquee matchup, and kind of relegating it to a Friday.
It should have went them, then Philly, and then that Sunday.
Yeah.
And you ain't got the same work in Toronto no more?
The Toronto is not having the same work.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, that new Toronto game that you always talked on Sunday.
That motherfucker over with and out of there.
And they get out of everybody three o'clock.
We're out of Toronto.
They'd be back home by eight.
No, fact, no, fact.
That was that good game.
Yeah.
Let's talk about another situation going on.
Lakers currently 17 and 6, tied with the Nuggets for second place in the West.
LeBron's agent, Rich Paul, has some interesting thoughts about the team
during the debut episode of his game over show with Max Kellerman,
saying LeBron will be a Laker for the rest of the season.
But Paul also noting he doesn't have faith in this current roster
to be a true contender in the West.
Let's take a listen.
Like, I personally don't think the Lakers are good enough to be contenders right now.
Not right now.
When you say contenders, what do you mean?
I don't think they have enough to get to the Western Conference Fund.
I don't think they have enough to get to really contend.
Going to the playoffs, we've seen last year, they ran into athleticism and length.
They struggle.
So when you look at it now, athleticism, length, shooting,
speed right because now can the lakers play fast i don't think so and style of play you can't you
know that style of play it's going to be very easy to guard okay i saw you're watching the clip
uh rich paul spinning or tripping said the lakers aren't a contender with their current ruff
i don't know if he's spitting or tripping uh but when is it cool for agents
to speak in this manner, bro.
Like, when?
Like, when did it become okay?
For agents to come out in this manner, like, to,
like, I've never heard.
I've been around this game for a while.
Like, if you want you to speak up for your guys,
for your player in that manner, I understand that.
But when is it okay to, like,
they ain't good enough?
Like, when you got guys on the team,
like, what type of shit is that?
Like, that shit wild.
Like, spit Nordtrip, I don't know, but this is an interesting thing going on.
That you are an active NBA agent and you have a show.
Like, this shit is wild to me.
What you're going to be comment on other people and shit like this.
Like, cool, like, more power to him if you got the means to do it.
But, like, that, like, it's interesting that you are.
are active, one of the top agents in the business.
And this platform to,
this platform is not, from what I'm gathering,
it's not you speaking on the business of basketball
and you're trying to educate people further
in that field, because you have been
one of the more successful agents out there.
This is not that.
If he was doing that, I ain't got shit to say.
But you come in on how good
good this team is is very interesting to me so the premise of the show is
Kellerman and Rich Paul discussing the most pressing topics in sports and
culture so they do what are we doing but yeah they are trying to do what we
are doing here yeah and not one of us represent players so but it's just I
just think it's interesting so spitting tripping interesting
Do you think the Lakers with this roster as is, we talked about this little bit last week?
No. I don't, I, no.
I think right now, if I had to guess everybody's healthy, Brian, Luca, Reeves, healthy.
Fourth best team, fifth best team.
In the Western Conference?
Ooh.
Even with, uh.
In the fourth, yeah.
Because I don't think they can be Houston and like if Houston's healthy and I don't think they can.
Rich, I think echoed those same sentiments.
Oklahoma City.
In Denver as well.
Denver as well.
The baby burping, yeah.
Yeah, you know, and that's go without saying what I think about Nicola, so.
How many teams are really contenders, though, like from the West that you would say, like three or four?
Yeah, it's, yeah.
It's going to be a Western Conference Championship, no matter of it.
Whoever gets out of the West is going to win.
Yeah, I said it.
Do not talk to the Cavs on this?
Not at all.
No.
They are.
Yeah.
mid as the kids will say right now
but shifting over the side guilt
Rich Paul spitting or tripping
saying that this Lakers current team
has constructed is not a contender
If the top three teams are contenders
Then he would be spitting
I guess he would be spitting facts
In the sense of
What he's pointing out right
We're not athletic enough to play against certain
teams in the playoffs
our style the style of play that we are playing
you know give the ball to Luca
he sets a pick everyone sits and stands
and then he tries to manipulate the big
and then he will take
long stepback shots
which we don't have no offensive rebounding for
we really rarely get those offensive rebounds
most of the shots that Luca will make
or Rees will make is
wow shots like oh okay
So when you're talking about the basic of basketball, we don't really get easy buckets.
We, because Lucas slower, we put ourselves in half court, right?
Now, when you put yourself in half court, obviously you take LeBron out of the game
because he needs a fast break.
He needs to have his momentum going.
So you take him out and then he becomes just a half court player being 40.
Being a half court player in his 20s and 30s was hard for him.
So being 40, what are you going to do is get the ball and he going to take a three.
or a step back three or a step back jumper right there's no trying to get all the way to that basket
they don't have the foot speed anymore so that will limit us um keeping up with those guys there's just
a lot of bad traits that we have every time they think they get fouled they're going to sit there and do
one of these right that's a fast break so we yeah so we get they give about 15 points in fast break
and it's always this it's never because they stole the ball and went it's always this or some wild pass so
There's a lot of things we're going to clean up.
We don't, even though our record is here,
we don't look stable as a championship contending team.
If we was in the east, I'd be like, yeah, shit, we're going to be there.
But in the West, oh, man.
Too finesse, too.
Our four big stars are.
You guys need to make a move?
Are more finesse.
You don't have no athleticism.
Nobody like a straight line and dunk on somebody like that.
And I think we struggle against teams.
like that for sure. Like the OKCs, even Minnesota, things like that. When they move and get
up in here, Paul. You need to go pick, cherry pick off Sacramento team. They got some pieces
that can help y'all. No, I'm serious. They got a couple pieces that y'all can move a couple
pieces that y'all can utilize. Yeah, even with someone like, that's what I said,
I'm saying, whoever over that motherfucker, they got. Like, even somebody like a market smart.
Yeah, they got some...
That was cool four, five years ago.
Yeah.
Being a small guard as a defensive player.
They got six, seven, six, nine dudes that do that same thing.
Okay.
But they can challenge shots.
They can rebound.
They can duck in.
They can dunk, right?
You know, Marcus Smart is a really athletic Vando at this point.
I mean, that's what that position looks like.
So you'll rather play Vando at the shooting guard and let him pick up full court, right?
That's your defender now.
Right?
It's the size where you can swing.
and he can hold the big man up and little things like that.
So we got to get rid of a few pieces that we just don't need.
We don't need, we don't need Kiva at this point.
We don't need connect.
We don't need, you know, Marcus Smart.
If we're going to keep Marcus Smart, then we get rid of Shamar Moore, right?
And then go get some athletic guys.
Like who can keep up?
But like, but like who are you looking for?
I don't know.
Look, me?
I'm going to say, Zach Levine is not the right fit.
Because Austin Reeves came into his own.
Like, DeMarty Rosen is not the right fit because Austin Reeves came into his own.
So you, like, but you can cherry pick off of that team.
But they got some good pieces, young pieces.
Like, McDermott, shoot the shit out the ball.
Somebody like him.
Like, we're standing like somebody that, it's pieces that they have over there.
Like, me.
And other teams as well.
I'm not playing Gabe.
I don't need him.
Right?
I'm playing Nick.
I'm playing the guard.
Nick Smith.
I'm playing him.
Like, his game is so fast, they have to react, right?
Like, he is so aggressive.
He gets to the lane quick, right?
So that means because he can get to the lane that fast, you have to collapse.
He's going to have open passes easier, right?
Versus Gabe, you're just going to shoot the three and sit out there, right?
So it's one of these contests here, contest that way,
because you're going to take one side step versus this young kid is fast.
He's trying to get to the basket.
You have to collapse.
Now you're making these open passes.
I don't know why they don't play them.
ask you a question. Would I know that my basketball brain say no. But do you think like
Sabonis could work in something like like for y'all? Yes. Because he's he's athletic.
He's actually in. Yeah. Okay. He's at the four. Yeah, he's an hour. I mean,
at the five. I'm just thinking, but does it take his his best attribute away? Because you
would you have to change the offense a little bit because he passes the ball well?
If I have Sabonis, I am changing office a little bit, right?
I'm going to go through him also because he can do exactly what you can do, Luca.
I mean, not without dribbling the ball and, you know, waste of stock clock.
Yeah, see, that's what I mean.
It's like, you like him, like because I don't, ain't cool, but he don't rebound the ball at a high clip like that.
He's not just.
Yeah, that's what I was mean.
And you get more out of Sabonis with the past and the same amount of points to be more,
but it's like you get more out.
Of that, then...
What are you giving up to get some bonus, though?
I just named...
We just named it.
We just named it.
They're taking that.
Yes, they got some decisions to make.
I mean, there's a lot of teams that have some decisions to make.
Pelicans as well with...
A comminga type.
Like somebody...
A liar, you like...
Here's a problem that we don't see and it affects us in a playoffs.
How we get to the free-door line, if we're not to
If we're not getting those calls, we're done.
Look at all the fouls that they get,
Luca and AR, right?
It's always bumping one-hitting shots, right?
So when they don't get calls,
how stupid do they look when they're playing?
Because their fouls come,
their fouls is not, we're going up and we get fouled.
Their foul is trying to throw it in
and then take the shot and get bumped and do the hip.
They feel you on their hip, and they throw that.
So if the refs decide to hold the whistle,
And then the playoffs
We don't have anyone who's getting
Filed naturally
The playoffs, they do too
Yeah, they hold it on the playoffs
So we, you know, if we play against a team
Let's say we play against OKC
They have established
That they are aggressive defensively
So they're not going to be penalized
For certain things
So we're going up there trying to do some of these
Fast break
That's why he lost by 40s in them
Fast break
Yeah
Fast break
You know what I mean?
and we'll get blown the fuck out by them
because they're not going to give the calls
that we get during regular season.
That's like our four stars hate that.
They hate when people touching them
and like playing aggressive on them.
Like Luca hate that.
LeBron can't take that no more.
He can't take like a dork garden him full court.
My fucking used to plan freely.
Yeah.
They letting them play free.
You're real close to them.
That shit is just like the shots they take, man.
It's so, it's so.
New Orleans.
No New Orleans got some.
Every possession.
Every possession is just like...
Offense is nasty.
It's like you manipulating the game, boom, he's on your hip.
You do a step back to the three to shoot over the guy.
Like, it went in, yeah, but it's like...
When you're already there.
Like, I'm starting to trust Rui a lot more because he has the...
He takes the easiest shots out of everybody.
You know what I mean?
It's just like, you're sitting there like, ah, it's really, but he takes the easiest shots.
versus everybody else you have to go they work on the hard shots though
Gil huh like they work on the harder shots now I feel like like like back like
and which is I mean I mean I know I don't know is this okay that's just what
they do now yeah like the easiest shot I don't know what it is maybe the
easiest shot doesn't look cool enough I don't know yeah the pull up and that's
the problem that they don't look good when they're talking about on my
highlights like oh I shot ten of these in a row and I'm probably ten of these in
And I know why we ain't going to win the championship.
You know what I'm saying?
Straight two at you, Jay.
I'm just,
because Rui will take that one droble pull up.
Yeah.
The mother niggins is going to step.
The mother two going to step back.
He do look so mechanical when he takes out.
I'll take that right now.
Right.
That's steady basketball that we can live on those shots.
We can't win.
What did Austin Reeds go for?
11 points.
No, what was the shots?
I think three for 16 or something.
Yeah, yeah.
Now, look at all those misses.
Yeah, the one, how they look.
Yeah, it should look.
He looks back.
looks bad. So, you know, when you get in the playoffs and you've got two people looking like
that. Yeah.
All right. Well, let's shift over to the other side, to the Sixers side of things.
Tyrese Maxis merged a bona fide star in the league while taking on the role of the face
of the Sixers franchise with former MVP Joel Embed and Paul George being sidelined
repeatedly with injuries. So Sunday mark just the second time the season that Maxie, Paul
George, and Embed have played together. Embedd has been dealing with lingering knee issues,
which limit him to 19 games last season.
And so far this season, he's only played in nine of the Sixers, 23 games.
So he's averaging 18.6 rebounds, three assists, 25 minutes per game,
but 4121.285 shooting splits.
So recently, Embed had this to say about not being able to be on the floor with Maxi
as much as he wants to.
I do feel bad, but, you know, it's unfortunate.
You can only control what you can control.
I don't think there's any
If anybody thinks that
I don't want to play every game
That's the problem
But I think history has shown that
I would do anything
Just to play one game of basketball
So, you know, I do feel bad
Obviously the minutes that he has to play
The load that he has to handle
I've been there
You know, I know I know it feels
But, you know
You just got to
You know, trust, have to trust
And you know, what you do
and in God and, you know, be okay with the fact that whatever happens happens, if I have
something happened to me like it happened, what, you know, what can I do? Just go out and rehab
and come back as soon as possible. You know, that's, you know, that's the mindset.
So Bita showed some flashes in his limited minutes. The season scoring 20 or more in five
of the nine games he's played in. But at this point, it looks doubtful he'll be able to return
to his MVP for him anytime soon.
How much faith should the Sixers having him be returning to a star level?
Zero.
Yeah.
Not even, not one?
Not to move on, man.
Yeah.
And it's not even like, you know, I see.
It's so hard.
You know, I see he's trying.
To say goodbye.
They grew from.
To yesterday.
It's sad, man.
Yeah.
I mean, I can see that he's trying to play, but I just, his body, his knees, they just can't hold up.
And with that pace, that Maxi and VJ.
he's playing right now it's going to be tough man like they're establishing their back
court and he just doesn't fit with their with their own right now and that's due to him not
being able to move laterally and doing all these things you could tell him his face and he's trying
but you know just an unfortunate situation for him you know should have been tried yeah i mean back
when we said last year we said that he should have sat down at the Olympics and uh he should
have took care of his body and he didn't supporting his country though mr bick no no whatever
side.
I'm talking about this man in Korea.
Like, I hear you, Joe.
We got our goal.
We got our gold.
We did.
I was going to get the goal.
We was going to get the goal.
She, yeah.
You propelled us.
But my thing, yeah, no, it's, it should have been there at that, bro.
It's unfortunate.
Yeah, to.
Someone who's dealt with knee issues, right, major in knee issues.
I'm, like, baffled of, is it him?
Is it the team?
Is it a combination of both?
Is it a, like, I don't want to play through pain?
Is it the team not, they ask them what your pain threshold is,
and you're letting them know honestly how you feel in?
Or you, like, I don't know what it is, right?
Well, I mean, previously in Bita said,
He's not really feeling the minute's restriction
wants to try to play as much as possible.
So working with the team to manage that
to obviously get the best results
to maximize him the season.
You want quality life after basketball, yes.
But if you say you want to play,
so it just go back to other people
that play through things
that we know something wrong with guys.
We know these things, and guys play through things
at times.
I just don't.
It's confused.
of play don't play play play play play play play play play play play play play play play
like it's either you're gonna let him ride it out and then when the shit just
wheels fall off the wheels gonna fall off i'm saying so that's what it's up we're on three less
they're on one wheel now like the other three then fell off you're on one wheel now so it's
and play in the Olympics.
You do other things.
And so things have transpired
where it questioned the organization
on certain how you handle him.
I just, I don't.
Playing the Olympics, we played 19 games.
Yeah, we all thought it was a mistake, right?
That last season, now it's played nine of the 23 games this season.
Missed nine straight games has played three of the last five games
for the sixers.
So play the game sat, play the game set.
Yeah, that's, can't build no type of chemistry,
none of that stuff with the team.
And like you say, B, they play fast now.
So in order to slow down to accommodate him
is a detriment to the team.
So what do you do?
Do you move on?
Do you not playing?
Do you go back to playing half-court basketball again?
Do it like this is just...
I move on.
You got to move on.
So he's under contract through a 28, 29 season.
It's his career.
So I get playing for the USA and the gold medal,
but he should have like...
His knee has been done.
I know, but...
Planning USA basketball,
or not, right?
It's going to be like this.
Knee is done.
It's been done.
But we don't, I mean, we-
No, they've been on.
But you're still putting, you're still putting stuff on your knee.
So take off that whole summer and let's just see what happens.
We're gonna see what happened.
Same thing, same thing.
He took, who was the last time he played?
When was the last time he played?
I'm saying, he'll play in the last year.
He set out.
He set out all damn summer.
Came back, look what we are.
No, I'm talking about the Olympic summer, right?
But what I'm saying is the knee is done.
There's nothing.
Yeah.
And he's done for you.
That ship sales.
It takes you from 45 to 41.
You're still good.
32 to 26.
He's done.
Right?
There's nothing he can sue.
Right?
That's what I'm saying?
I get it.
He never ran like a deal.
But that's what I'm saying?
So what ends up happening is it's a Ferrari player.
You got three wheels that are spares.
One has a boot on it.
You want to drive on the freeway, no, no, no.
First of all, even if you had another spare wheel, those wills ain't made for that car.
The knee you have right now ain't made for your body.
Unless you get on Exhibit and a little cocaine and you get down.
I'm just saying.
I don't have a hard like this.
Don't go, hey, but the knee going to be good.
How tall is he 611?
You better be 611, 201.
You better be one of those.
Because he don't have the body type to sit out.
Because he don't have the body type to sit out.
You can't be sitting at that 385.
You know, those 285.
Those days are over.
Take that shot.
Those days is over with you.
In a shot.
Oh.
You better.
You better look like Ken Marr?
You better come back as a three.
And me, you see this?
That's three.
Like, the next time we see it, me, you better look like Wendy, Goddemy before the rest of your three.
You don't look like, I'll be out there pain free.
Out there pain free, right?
You don't need no goddamn weight on that on them bones.
It's over.
But, Philly organization is shut it down.
It is.
If there was a football player, he would have been shutting down.
Like, yeah, I can.
can't do it, dialysis, this shit, this shit hurt.
If they was realistic with themselves,
they would have shut them down because
they can see it on x-rays, an MRI.
Yeah. Yeah, what is this?
He got holes.
They're like they're eating themselves.
So he can't play no more, right?
And they don't do the surgery I had no more.
And they don't do this.
And they, they shoot him up, whatever we need.
We're going to put them out there for 30 minutes.
tonight. We need, we're going to give you the ball every game, every play down there.
We need you to have 45 and then we're going to put his ass on the market.
Yeah, well, and sell him.
He probably needed, though, because the organization is terrible.
They don't matter where he's going.
He probably do need a new medical staff.
The knee ain't, I don't get to fuck, where you're taking?
The AI was hurt all the time.
Remember I told you the facility was in the 24-hour fitness.
Like, that shit was crazy, though.
He got a 24-hour fitness doctor.
That's what I'm saying.
He probably needs just new every team, man.
He ain't changed.
And he ain't going back to him.
How slow he played, he could come to the Lakers.
We just play as slow as him.
Everybody on our team's slow.
He can't play back to backs.
He can't play back to backs on our team.
He can't play four games in five nights.
He can't play four-s-low-ass team.
Right now, he can't play two games in nine days.
I mean, how much rest do you need?
The more rest, the more it hurt when you play.
Because I didn't tell you probably after every game, that bitch still swells up.
And you got to drain it, throw some cortisone in.
He probably cortisone up.
He's got no ligament's now.
Liggin' men's weak.
1990s over there in the Philly.
Cortizone and ice.
That's all they do over there.
Did y'all see the knee.
Cortezone and ice.
Get him an ice pack.
The knee brace he had.
They look like a cast.
Philly is so behind, man.
So Embed signed a three-year $193 million extension back in 2024.
That extension is on the start, I believe, until next season, though.
Free money.
26, 27, 27, 27, 28, 28, 29.
That's the shit right there.
I, dude, he ain't healthy when he signed it.
He wasn't nowhere near healthy when he signed it.
Man.
Was it that the playoff year when he went to play against New York?
That's when he got a...
He played them a couple games in New York right now.
That's when he got the extension?
And he took him a seven?
Mm-hmm.
That's when he got.
Yeah, I mean, they don't make...
I mean, obviously we can see from the decision making that they're not making great decisions.
Oh, you did.
Because even in a draft where they could have drafted the Queen Kid who had a triple double,
he's one of the youngest triple doubles
who's a five man
who can put the ball in the basket
who can pass the ball
the black yokitch
that could have been your drive pick to replace this
you got him and drumming over that motherfucker
that's taking up space literally
at this point there's no point right
like I mean if you're the organization
the smartest thing you can do at this point
is say hey big fella
sit down
you're done
right
Young fellas, do y'all.
Got to help.
Get, get going.
We need y'all for next year.
So y'all go get that experience.
That's the smartest thing you can do.
You keep pulling him in and out and in and out.
Those guys is going to always say, all right, I mean,
Max is at the point where he noticed his team,
so he's going to do what he's going to do.
But everybody else is going to be like, oh, it's still in B.
We're going to try to give him the ball a little bit.
Right.
So the fact that they're going to slow down, their development,
every time he gets put on the court, right?
You're changing your offense every time he get on the court
because the offense is really made for him when he's there
and then max it when he's not.
Like McCain in, you drafted him last year,
your first round, VJ this year, yeah.
Yeah, it's just a decision they've made out there.
Like, you still got Kyle Lari on the roster.
You still got Eric Gordon on the roster.
PJ, PJ, the four-year-two.
Is he still over there?
Yes, though.
Wait, what guards?
Eric Gordon and Kyle Lari is still over that motherfucker fucking nigga
just on the roster.
They're chilling.
They're chilling.
They're chilling.
They're telling.
And they got Kelly Ubray still over there.
They're just, I don't know.
They're just, I don't know.
They're, hey.
Kelly done all right, though.
I like Kelly.
I like Kelly.
I like Kelly.
I've been to Kelly Uber.
Man.
Yeah.
But Zunami Poppy compete.
All right.
Would that be the same thing as Andrew Binal?
Remember they team traded for him?
He ain't ever played a game.
He just drifted at all.
Yeah, right.
Yeah.
I think ever since that Jimmy Buck, they should have
There's stupid organizations out there.
Somebody's going to trade hard.
Three-year-hundred-nine-three million dollars left on this deal?
Wait, what?
Him and Zion go together.
$93 million.
You got free money.
Welcome to the team.
Me, you, John.
Welcome.
Welcome.
I ain't going to lie to you.
It feels good.
It feels good.
He ain't going to be sad.
I can tell you that for Dale show.
Sit home.
You can sit here.
You can be like, there am I want to be out there.
But one thing you do, when that game is over after you finish watching it,
you don't have to drain that knee.
Ice and you ain't got to do none of that.
Is this a rat?
They're going to retire him?
Just be a good vet.
Come on, good fella.
Come on.
Sit on the side.
Put your suit on.
Come on, guys.
Come on.
I believe in it.
Did you just do one of those?
He just got to get traded.
That's an extra $30 million.
That's an extra $30 million.
Just sitting there.
Shit, trust me.
He's a MVP.
Hey, hey, get down there.
Do one of those.
Help the coach.
Yeah, I'll be an assistant.
Shit.
And he signed two years, 45 for two.
I'm in Philly, though.
He goes, yeah.
Two cutthroat, bro.
They don't like that shit.
Oh, well.
They got no choice.
It ain't brotherly love.
But they don't have no choice.
I know.
This point.
It ain't brotherly love.
It ain't no brotherly love out there.
There ain't nothing they can do.
The knee is the knee.
Knee done, dog.
Because I'm pretty sure at this point in life,
he's done tried at all.
Regenicant, he doesn't tried it all.
He doesn't stuck everything.
Yeah, micro fracture, sir.
He stuck everything in D.
Nick, what'd that do to us?
I played after.
I've had two.
Okay, let's try to do.
He couldn't jump from the beginning.
I know.
Can you?
So, he, what'd that do to the rest of the people?
That was, okay?
You're superhuman, so you had two.
You can still jump through it.
Run through it.
The rest of us, it's over.
For three years.
Three more years?
Just chilling.
Yeah, no.
To get that, because I remember we was with New York, man.
That's sick.
I'm about to go back, bro.
No, he got my impression.
Yeah.
But I'm saying, but his knee, like, Amari, like,
he, of course, he was a similar thing where he wanted to play.
And when he did, he looked good, but he physically, like, couldn't play more than 25 minutes.
Yep.
So, I'm like, damn, that's that look good last night.
You know, he ended up getting that thing drain, man.
He's like, and he can't play tonight.
Like, damn.
So he looked good.
Like, like, he said, he's averaging what he scored 20 in the last of the games that he's played.
So 25 of the nine games, averaging 18.
team right now.
Yeah, so when he's out there,
he's still resemblance of himself.
In 25 minutes for games.
Yeah, so that's putting in work
because you've got a featuring,
but you just don't want him out there.
That's the same thing we play with that.
Like, you've got a featuring because he still can put the ball
in the basket and he still demands attention.
But if he can't physically do it night in, night out,
when he's, yeah, you've got to protect him.
To your point, just sit him down.
It is actually worse than we would think.
And the reason is it's the way he plays the game ain't taxing on his knee compared to everyone else.
It's not like he has to get off the floor and dunk shit back and he don't have to do that.
Right?
So he's not lifting and jumping.
It's just simple movement going up and down back and forth.
Here doing some jazz, go off the, and that's bothering.
But that's what I'm saying.
It's the way he played.
But the way he was always on the ground.
Yeah, he used to fall.
He was always on the ground.
You know why he falls?
Because he can't land on it the way he wants to.
He can't go, ah!
They told him to just fall down.
The organization told him to fall down.
The organization told him to fall.
That's what I'm saying.
They're so behind, bro.
Just fall down.
Okay.
All right, we're going to pray for a bit.
I hope that at some point he can get back to that level,
But you guys say, we know where Hope works at, Kay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
She's working at double shift.
She's definitely working a double shift with that knee.
Yeah, absolutely.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
So, KD, joined some elite company this weekend
and the Rockets win over the Suns on Friday night.
Katie knocked down a 10-foot fadeaway on his former team,
midway through the first quarter to become the eighth player in NBA history
to reach 31,000 points, joining Will Kareem, MJ, Carl Malone, Kobe,
Dirk, and LeBron as the only players.
in league history to reach the feat.
Finish the game with 28 points, now has scored 31,024 points in his career.
So after accomplishing the milestone, KD reflected on what it means to him to be amongst
the greatest scores in league history.
As you're coming up into the league, you look at these guys as heroes, and you put them
on pedestals, and you look at their accomplishments as sometimes unreachable, you know.
But then you just get on that road to trying to do your thing, and that's how I did since 2009.
2008, I've been focused on trying to be the best player I can be, and they set a standard
for each player when they left the league, and I tried to live up to that standard.
I wouldn't say compete.
I'll try to compete with them or overtake them, but guys like Will, Michael, Kobe, I'm missing
so many guys.
They just set a standard that I try to reach every day, you know, so I didn't look at them
as something that was out of my realm or I just felt like if I if I locked in and did what I did
I could be mentioning the same breath as those guys so that's the confidence I had but I knew it was
going to be a tough journey so I got more to do I'm grateful to still be playing and and hopefully
I keep doing this keep moving up the charts well you look at KD an array of offensive moves
ability to get buckets at multiple levels but would impress you the most about KD's offensive
skill set it's unguardable man it's unguarded I think for a guy his size at that
height to the things that he can be able to do with the ball his balance being able to
flow it's so effortless easy bucky you know it's just easy you know it's just like
the perfect mechanic for a shot for a big man he's in that club of 50 40 90 and just
for you know we never seen anything like that from a guy that's that that that size that
that can score like that from anywhere on the floor,
his IQ of the game, and just his love for the game too.
And I think that's a lot of it that comes from it.
His hard work is being a student
and wanting to always get better.
So I mean, we'll probably never see nothing like that.
I mean, I will never say never, but it's going to be hard.
Like Kevin Durant is one of those ones that's like,
you know, when you mentioned elite score at the top of the top,
that's who he is.
For sure.
No, what I take from it
is what if he shot more threes like if he like what he would be like just no fact like
I looked at the all-time three list where he is ranked and far as points like if he shot more
threes like he like I just like Paul Georgia had him on the all-time threes list made it's
crazy so if he that not he'll be at 31 and
beyond like already long time ago and the fact that he didn't conform his game to the new
NBA is he didn't listen to the noise he didn't he stuck with his guns he knew what the
how he has been effective um and he stuck with it and he like brandon said me he's perfected
his craft at at the highest level from the work that he puts in fighting through injuries coming
back from what some would consider career ending injuries, yeah, and to still remain at the
highest level in doing it, yeah, you got to tilt your hat to me, man.
To be that, to be a guard with that skill set and that size, man, is something for kids
to strive for, right?
Not only to be a big with your back to the bads, but you can be a 6-11 guard.
So he's setting a standard for kids to come.
that length and skill set so yeah 31,000 yeah that's yeah because the way the game is going
a lot of kids should be watching Kevin Grant like I know I used to say Paul George a lot
because of his size too but Kevin the Rent might be that guy too to me Katie's a generational
talent man I mean he changed the game had a lot of people coming in trying to be trying to find
kD's like the Austin days and the fucking remember everybody had to be six to ten that could
shoot and handle shit but the name just is man being playing next to him in practice
I thought I could score anybody he was just cooking me in one-on-one I ain't gonna lie I
never been cooked like that I was cooked like how I cooked you when he played one-on-one
I felt like that though he's a different breed the game came easy and he missed
two years with injuries so you
I mean, have the Achilles injuries bounce back.
Two, 50, 40, 90 seasons in his career, 2013, 20, 23.
I think Larry Bird, Steve National, only had the players.
Yeah.
In the NBA history to accomplish that feat.
Yeah, he's different, bro.
And every time did he miss it?
I'm saying, shooting 89 from, some shit like that, right?
39 from 3 and shit like that.
Like, it's a couple of 88.
Yeah, 88, 8.9.
Like, come on, man.
That's like, 47.
I mean, it's really, it's really, it's really,
impressive of who he came in the game as, right?
It's he, he was all of 610, 16.75 without his shoes as a rookie in Chicago.
That was his height.
I don't know where they got 6'9 from.
He was never 6'9 and no nothing.
I've seen his measurements.
he came in as a guard-like player with those things.
That means whoever taught him the game at an early age
was a pure basketball mind
because he is old school 90s basketball
with new generation tendencies, right?
One, two, pull up.
And the name is Easy Money, Sniper,
meaning one, two, pull up, fade,
I'm not going to play.
If I need to cross, cross, I'll do it, but it's cross, cross, cross, straight to the shot.
He doesn't play with his food, right?
He's taking advantage of it.
He ain't sitting here with the tween to it, and he has the Paul George package.
He just makes it simple basketball.
But the most impressive thing that nobody knows about Kevin Durant is he sacrificed everything for basketball.
yeah no no girlfriend every time he had a girlfriend basketball comes first second third right
I'm not taking nobody serious until I'm until the game is over with no kids because I want to
focus on this I can do all that stuff after the game is over with like he literally just sits at
home play video games watch film go workout come back watch for it yeah I don't know how he played like
Play video games.
I don't know how you play like that.
The Holy Trinity for basketball.
Did you ever hear when Simba said, so Simba's over his house in Phoenix, right?
Simba said, so, you know, we're sitting there watching, you know, watching film, talking.
And then Simba's like, all right, man, I'm about to be, I'm about to be out, man.
I'll be back in two hours.
He said this.
What you mean?
Where are you going?
I'm about to go, you know, chill.
No, we don't do that.
Nassus.
We don't do that.
Nah, you ain't going into the studio?
I'm going to the gym
I'm going to the gym
and then come back here
Yeah he said
Should you be working on the craft
Going to the studio
All that extra shit can wait
That ain't got that
That ain't helping your life
He said I'm going to the gym
Then I'm coming back here
To repeat what I just did
What I see here
I'm going to go work on it
And then I'm going to come back
And watch some more film
So you're going out there
Hang and doing shit for two hours
It's not part of the success
and he's like
shit let me just go on the booth then
and that's that was the mindset
like yeah all that hanging out
no we this is what we focus on
man we focus on trying to get better
and our crap and it shows
in the gym at like 2 a.m. after the club
yeah he's gonna go to the club
he went out here listen he's gonna go to the gym
first club then back to the gym
I was like being in the club like
oh man I didn't work out right
I was like in the club sometimes
working on his form and using that as an opportunity
to improve it
You want to go to the gym?
I said, man, what the fuck?
What are you?
Dr.
I'm going to see all these holes.
Drunk get a motherfucker.
You can't shoot a ball right now.
That's the separation.
I'm trying to shoot my other ball.
Right?
I'm trying to shoot.
Yes, absolutely.
Shoot the club.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You see, she's here over there.
I'm trying to de her up.
What?
What?
Glitch.
Yeah.
You're like, fuck that.
Let's go get a hundred shots.
I'm like.
She said she's face guard.
That's a separation, man.
She faces her.
She said she's a lockdown, okay.
She let me hold on one real quick.
Play video games.
Play video games all day, too, though.
We got to, I mean, work-life balance, right?
You've got to get the video game.
I don't know how you do that other stuff and play.
I don't know, bro.
But you appreciate the dedication and commitment.
I appreciate the dedication, but I got to have a girlfriend.
Not distraction, man.
I'm sorry.
No, you can have, no, you ain't got to have no girlfriend.
I can't be no.
old-ass dad, bro.
No, you can't have no girl.
Like, you can have a chick,
like, I get him, like, he just can't commit to you.
Yeah.
Oh, dad, man.
I'm not saying married, but I'm not a girlfriend.
I don't need your feelings.
I don't need your feelings.
The one thing that I do.
I don't think about, I just, I just say that because life skills.
Like, after basketball, you got to, now life starts.
Oh, I, oh, 100%.
So now, that's a whole other aspect of your life where you got to be ready for it.
Because having a kid and, and, huh?
Does he want children?
That's weird.
That's weird.
Hey, brother, man, I suggest you get to it.
I'm just saying that's me being,
people who don't want.
People who don't want.
Me being 47, having a seven-year-old.
Yeah.
I love him.
I mean, if you can't, that's one thing.
And that's one, if you can't, but don't want kids is weird to me.
No, what I'm saying is, if you think about his, you think about how he trains for the game,
he don't want to be that dude.
I'm leaving two, three, four, five times to the gym going to work out.
I'm not going to be a home father.
Oh, I'm with it.
Right?
I know, that's fun.
And I'm just saying, as us, we've been there before,
when we're going to the gym and be like,
why are you going to the gym again?
I don't need it.
I don't need, though.
Don't compromise.
But if you're explaining from the beginning, though,
like the thing about him, what I've gathered,
he is telling you from the door, like you said,
basketball is one, two, three, four in my life,
five in my life.
So if you're not willing to be six from the beginning,
then it's not going to work.
That's fine.
So if he's, if there's, if it's that understanding from the beginning,
then we, they avoid that, right?
The bitch and they complain about you always gone.
So, but if it's, you don't say that shit from the beginning.
You're going to be playing, she can be complaining when he's done.
Because you still want to go.
He got work, he had work, he got work.
No, no, I don't know, everybody at that level should have.
Everybody at that level should, I would hope.
That's what we want to work.
Come on in.
He just got to him.
He doesn't commit to it.
He doesn't not commend to it.
Listen, you come in, this is what it is.
For sure.
So, hey, you got to respect that for a nigga who stand on it and ain't had no kids.
Married to the game.
Married to the game.
The ball is the baby.
I dig it.
You got to, yeah, that's impressive.
Y' don't want to be Nick.
What the fuck is me, bitch?
See what I mean?
I'm going to be you.
No, I'm just saying, you don't want to be you.
I got a good life.
That's got a good life, baby.
That's why you do have.
Right, Brown got married, staff got married.
Oh, yeah.
They had kids.
And they got more wins.
What's they got to do with it?
That's them.
And they got more winnings, too.
So that way is the more stable way.
That's them.
They found the right one.
I'm just saying.
I'm just saying, the greatest hoopers.
They put one in her.
LeBron is from high school with his.
He probably didn't trust none of the DMB girl.
I'm just saying the greatest ever going to put one in her.
No, he had.
No, he had.
We got Ohio.
Drop this off with you.
Let me drop this off.
I'm so great.
I got to drop this off for you, man.
Let me drop this off with you.
Let me drop this greatness off in you.
No, let me stop.
The world does that.
They only got two.
That's why he only got two.
Who?
Who?
They compete.
And they're like, man, you ain't got one.
He ain't dropping a phone.
You can get you one.
I don't know how.
I don't know how we ended up here.
You got to get one.
He got let one.
You got let one.
That one all, man.
He can't be pulling out still at 40.
That's crazy.
You said what?
Swaggy, everybody's free to make their own decisions in life.
Whatever's best for them.
Everybody wrote their own rights.
Unnecessary.
Listen.
You got to commend him.
And Katie.
No, for sure.
Either he's, listen, he's very disciplined.
No, he definitely is.
And I'm saying with that aspect of it, listen.
Or his pull-out game, amazing.
Amazing.
He's Matt.
He's a shooter.
Hey, he showed.
He knows we're not to take a shot.
What?
That's what, that's a good one.
That's a good one.
You know how you go through a girl phone.
You know how you go through a girl phone.
You're like, yeah, that ain't the shot I want to take.
Does she Google my network?
Out.
No fact.
Not fact.
On and out.
Putting one on and put out.
That's crazy.
Well, you don't want to, what?
That's a hell of a discipline.
You put one on and pull out?
For sure.
Man, that's, what?
That's, yeah.
You don't want to be Nick.
You really don't trust it.
Who else was like?
Derek Geter.
Bitch, you keep saying that.
Right?
Derek Jeter was like that.
Right?
He just had girls, different girls.
You know what I'm saying?
But he kept his whole shit clean the whole year.
No.
I want to be Nick.
Yeah, he was out there's a thing.
That is the thing.
Yeah, yeah.
He wasn't like Katie.
They don't know who Katie dealing with.
He out here dating celebrities.
Yeah, but it's still the same.
I'm speaking facts.
No, you're not, bitch.
Say it.
Say me again.
watch. Okay, okay, okay. Language we do have.
I don't care. No, he's disrespectful.
Kids watching Guiltreen and put that in a lot. We're going back for.
Good job, guys. Y'all was ready.
All right, all right, what time? That's the word that you
choose. Correct. All the shit that we talk about
here, you go do. Okay, I pick my battles.
As you know.
All right. So look. Pick my battles on this couch very wide.
We can just be honest with ourselves. It is.
We started this show at 1130.30.
About 11.31 and a half.
You don't want to be Nick.
What will I do?
Two glasses of wine.
That's full lunch time.
And you gotta go home to his kids.
We know why.
I didn't even fit up the first one.
We know why.
We've seen your kids, Nick.
You don't want to be sober over there.
You gotta be drunk.
I feel you.
I see.
No, no.
I see it.
He ain't sitting there.
As soon as you walking in the house, you're like,
ah, damn.
Shit, he's a motherfucker's all that.
He hate Tuesdays.
Tuesdays is his early leave.
Shit.
Oh, you still know that?
You still know that?
You gotta go old.
Oh, you might still pick up your kids.
That's what's up, man.
You're a good dad, man.
You know the early day?
Yeah, I go after this.
I like kids.
I like my kids, though, just because you don't like your family.
I like them.
I like them, too.
I like them over at your house.
I can't wait through...
You can't wait till that kick in, huh?
No, no, I can't wait till my neck get old enough.
And you're gonna be 50, you're gonna be whipping your ass.
I can't wait.
When he turned from...
Bro, I'm going to be dead.
You're not going to wood.
I said you're going to be funny at all.
I don't know.
I'm going to say.
When he's finished shit, I'm in the upper brain.
You're going to be cold.
I'm going to just bust up in the motherfucker.
The uproo.
Anyhow, let's keep this thing moving.
So we've got to talk about a questionable moment that went down during the magic next game on Sunday.
Let's take a look.
Meanwhile through the fourth quarter of the nix up 11,
O.G. and then nobody tried to drive to a basket for a layup.
Jaylam took anthe-black converged on him.
Black stripping the balls, O.G. fell into the stanchion underneath the hoop.
And Desmond Bain were no expletable reason.
He fired the ball off of O.G.'s back.
It wasn't like he was trying to save the ball, as you can see.
You took the extra step, wound up.
To even do that, you got to have.
There's something wrong with you, bro.
What would you do that?
He didn't have to do none of that.
Yeah.
He just could have just dropped it off of it.
Yeah, that part.
That damn, wind up, bro.
Look, the wind up.
Boom.
And then say out of bound.
No, no.
Look, watch, watch.
But did they call a foul or anything or no?
The game of tech.
And he said, tech, tick.
The point is he bounces the ball.
Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Then the wind up...
No, look at...
Look, look, he starts smiling
when they're happy, watch, watch right.
Nick, watch him.
Folling through and everything.
Yeah, right?
You know, the fall of through and everything, you know,
he's like, yeah, man, listen.
Can we see it one more time?
No, yeah.
It is the holiday season.
Watch it.
The gift that gives on give.
There's so many things inside.
Yeah, there's so many other things I missed the first 36 times I watch this.
Hey, you said, what was that?
Oh, I want to live in those bids, dick was clapping.
Stop clapping and shit.
But Ben tells the ref to go get OG after.
Hold on him, but his team has, who is the black getting ready to run back on office?
Like, oh, should we got the ball?
And then again, this angle right here, you can see Jalen Suss.
Realizing what happened.
The fact that he bounces against the shit.
I ain't never seen those shit like.
He could have took the ball and went out of the way.
So, Bain was given a tech.
It was also fined $35,000 by the league for throwing the game ball with force.
in an unsportsman-like manner.
But more on Bain,
a TikTok user put together a mashup
of some of the questionable moments
from Bain's career.
So let's take a look at that.
He's been problematic
throughout various points.
Some have mentioned
him playing with Dylan Brooks
and learning how to poke bears.
Despite the undersized arms.
You can get him
into a KD.
This play right.
This play right here, same thing he didn't even need to bounce it.
Right off his head.
That's because he kind of short and he's supposed to be a little taller.
Yeah.
He felt like he got a little man staring.
You got everything squashed.
And then we have last but not least.
You can tell he's one of them ones that's like...
No, that's fun.
And Zeno.
G money out there tripping, man.
Hey, no, like you see the top yeah, they're like G money.
As you can see, Bain living up to his name,
you think darkness is your ally, but you're merely
merely adopted the dark.
But let's get back to this latest installment.
What's your reaction, Desmond was firing the ball up for O.G.
and a number.
It was disrespectful, but it's still part of the game?
No.
It's part of the game.
If you're saving it, I don't know.
It's part of the game.
I got it.
I threw it off for you because I could have slipped.
So I driveled the ball.
He took it.
I driveled, picked it up.
Do that bitch at you.
No, that's not a point.
of the game.
No place in this.
It's still our ball, right?
Who ball was it?
Orlando's, right?
I just want to know what led to that.
Yeah.
Oh, something had to happen
to lead to that, and
I'm pretty sure for $30,000
he thought that shit was cool.
And didn't he laughing
and shit out there?
Oh, man.
Yeah, I mean,
listen, I mean, it's disrespectful,
but, hey.
The fact that he could
have went the other way with the ball.
So that, you know,
he could have just saved.
Could have grabbed the ball and dribble, ran the other ones.
That's why it's disrespectful.
I mean, there's plenty of times I'm pretty sure we wanted to do some shit like.
He could have been in his face.
Fire right off your face.
That's what I'm saying.
He got to fire it off in his face too.
I thought he did.
Lower back with the ball through.
You know, how hard that ball.
I can't see I never wanted to.
So, you know, how hard that ball got to hit your back to bounce that for?
How hard the ball got to hit your back the bounce?
From next, I'll throw it to the side.
Come on, man.
He probably said, ow.
We could see that one more time just for.
How are you reacting?
Why would you do that?
Just for research purposes.
Look how far from a whole mouth.
Oh, it flew way out.
Right here.
Right here.
I'm not even in the plane.
Look, he said, why would you do that?
I think it got him on his lower back if I'm not mistaken.
He said, why would you do that?
Oh, no.
Oh, it was a shoulder, yeah.
Look, watch this.
Why would you?
It was so fast.
I'm not even in the plane.
Why are you on your knees?
You can't protect yourself from the ball.
Hey, no, that's some hateful shit, you know.
He hate him.
You can't, like.
Ball up or
bitch
I was thinking
the same thing
That had to be
That followed through
The bitch
The big beat
Yes
Great
Great technique
Had the whole
Yeah
Yeah that's good one
I like that one
Yeah that
Yo
So can your question for you
Yeah sir
What are you doing
If Desmond Bain
The way ball
It's you like
I'm just asking
not current cany
not family man cany
proud father
all I'm gonna say is I'm not pushing
him that's awfully
yeah that was correct
see I've been trying to
now we don't got people
think it doesn't work on my
skills we don't damn they can't try to change
not the distinguished gentleman from
Oakland not that this thing was
during my playing time
let me let me pre-fraise that
during my playing time
yeah that wouldn't
went over well
oh no we know
that just
like fire the ball
yeah I got I got up set for less
so real less
yeah you got upset for
motherfuckin just standing up fast
just a dicker just hey
wait up
all right I just
too fast
my reflexes kicked
yeah yeah I wouldn't
react
see the thing you about it
I just referenced
See, the good Lord, don't put me in them kind of situations
because I am going to fail that.
Right?
So, y'all remember the whole joints of people
that's like the little bracelets, like,
what would Jesus do?
We need to make something like WWKD.
What would Kenyon do?
What would Kenyon do, right?
That's all aggression right there.
You see that on somebody.
You just walk away.
That's better be black and red.
That's said better be in red too.
I'm going to lose that.
I'm going to fail that test.
100% of the time.
He's a 100% of the time.
Oh, gee.
He's a foreigner, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, you're right, yeah, I'm, yeah.
Did you read that episode?
Yeah, that ain't going to go over the way.
From London, a fan of Gilzorina presented by $100 whoop.
And the thing is, so he got to him before anybody stepped in the way, so yeah, it wouldn't, yeah, definitely.
Because, you know, you got to get off first, because they're going to break it up.
Let me get two off real quick.
Tick, ding.
Yeah, I was going to be two quick ones.
Definitely two quick ones.
The two-hitter quitter.
It looked like to say, hey, man, why?
Yeah, that's what you did that?
Why would you do that, man?
Because there wasn't expecting nothing in the head.
And he got them little ass arms.
Oh, yeah.
Just keep your dude.
What?
He got them T-Rex joint.
He ain't got a chance, because I'm going to bink, bink him, and he going to be trying to grab me.
And his neck like this?
Yeah.
That shit's hilarious, though.
No, it was.
You see people throw the ball off people all the time.
The leg.
The legs.
Yeah, the niggas.
Yeah, niggas drop it off.
Boom and just let it.
Yeah, he followed through fire at that bitch.
Yeah, he meant that.
Great for him.
He meant that one.
That was a good one.
All right, well, now let's move on to mostly fans.
That was a good one.
Presented by Underdogs.
You get $75 in bonus entries when you play your first $5 with code,
Gil, win, or lose.
So we got one question from underdog user Milwaukee, Mike, said, is it better for the NBA if Janice ends up in the East or the West if he did happen to get traded?
East?
I'm going to say to East because the West has too many superstars right now.
And the West is just always tough.
So I think the NBA will benefit a lot if Janice is in the East and the Knicks jersey.
If it does happen, again, no.
I mean, yeah, if he does, you know, if he gets traded, I think he should go to the Knicks.
Varying reports, but according to most,
Yannis has not asked for a trade.
This is a question from Milwaukee, Mike, an underdog user.
Nothing to do with us.
No, he has stayed in the East.
I mean, because what happens in the West is
he's going to be taking somebody spot as a starter, right,
in the All-Star games.
So it's going to put somebody else who we like on a bench.
There are two all-star starters traded for each other.
Yeah, but that ain't going to happen.
Which is unlike you.
If you get somebody caliber.
Yeah, with LeBron, Lucas, Shay,
Yolk it, you're like,
up and coming marketing around,
but obviously he's going to be starting over one of them.
Curry, that's the next one of them.
So it's going to be him.
One of those going to have to sit.
So, no, keep his ass in the east, where he is the star.
He's the star in the east.
Like, those games come on at 4 o'clock, and, you know,
he gets seen.
So Jason Taylor comes back.
Jason Taylor comes back.
So those guys.
So you got to.
Huh?
But no, I don't know.
What is he?
Very good basketball.
I'm going to just be honest, I haven't seen a Cleveland Cavalier game.
Like Cleveland has to be, I'm just be honest, like last year,
you're going to have to go 15 games for us to block.
Listen, oh, shit, they're doing something over there.
They want all of them.
They want all of them.
And we still don't talk about it.
Nobody talks old.
I'm mad at it.
We talked about them in moderation.
No, I'm saying all of them are going last year.
We barely talk.
But the boy is hooping.
The boy is on the court and off the court.
Just saying, I like, I like how he's moving.
I love it.
Moving on the court and off the court.
I like the etiquette, young fella.
I haven't heard him.
Nobody watched Orlando no more.
Just look, you better, you better go 29 and 1.
You want anybody to go.
Yeah, he's over there.
He's high.
He got that Cali Good over there.
Shador has been bawling, so he's feeling good about it.
That's it.
Speaking of, like, I don't know we're about to go.
Have y'all ever seen anybody sabotage or some shit
more than they did that day?
That's crazy, bro.
The Cleveland shit.
That was crazy.
Technically, yeah.
But, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I've seen it on the Wizards.
I've seen it on the Wizards.
I've seen it on the Wizards, for sure.
And on that note, play.
I've seen this time.
Tons of more football talk coming up right now.
I don't like me, huh?
My knee hurts.
Let me know when he gets fired.
I'll be back.
