Episode Date: May 13, 2024Gil's Arena Reacts To The Denver Nuggets & Indiana Pacers MASSIVE Comebacks in the NBA Playoffs as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew break down how both teams battled back to even their series aft...er going down 2-0 and flip the playoffs on their head. They discuss how Tyrese Haliburton & The Pacers defensive prowess were able to hold Jalen Brunson in check for Games 3 & 4 and debate if Coach Thibs' INTENSE rotations are doing more harm than good as the New York Knicks starters appear to be running out of gas. They then move over to the West to break down the Denver Nuggets adjustments in the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves that allowed the team to battle back and open up the floor for Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon to fight off Anthony Edwards' career game of 44 points. They then move on to the Dallas Mavericks shocking 2-1 lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder as Kyrie Irving's veteran leadership and playoff experience is reshaping the series before sprinkling in some Boston Celtics talk with a debate over Jayson Tatum's lose-lose situation with the media. Y'all don't know what goes on in practice,
or the locker room. Welcome back to Gil's Arena,
presented by Underdog Fantasy.
Woo-woo!
Woo-woo!
Another glorious Monday in the arena.
Sorry we took so long to get started,
but good things come to those who wait.
What's the numbers up?
New numbers on... Somebody got a case of the numbers up? The new numbers on me.
Somebody got a case of the Mondays.
The case of the Mondays.
I heard you got to hop in the booth soon.
Who, me?
No, no, no.
Not for me.
You was on the intro.
Yeah, I'm on the intro.
You got to get some
residuals for that.
So you're not going to respond?
That ain't got nothing to do with me.
Okay.
You know what I mean?
I'm just part of the hit on both sides.
You can play both sides.
But this is Gil's Arena presented by Underdog Fantasy.
As always, we got the legend Gilbert Arenas here with us.
What's happening?
We got Kenya Martin back on the couch.
What's that?
More like it.
Okay.
The crew has revolted, Kenyon.
I'm revolted.
I am.
For sure.
And we got Cheryl Swoops joining us shortly.
Woo-woo!
Woo-woo!
But here's what's cracking in the arena today.
The Pacers smacked the Knicks in Game 4 to tie the series, while injuries and a heavy
workload for Tibbs' tight rotation derailed New York's season.
Jason Tatum had his best game of the playoffs to help the Celtics bounce back from an embarrassing
Game 2 loss and take a 2-1 series lead, but are the Celtics really a super team?
And the Nuggets won both games against the Wolves in Minnesota to tie the series and
take back the momentum, but will they snap against the Wolves in Minnesota to tie the series and take back the momentum.
But will they snap their home losing streak in game five?
But before we get into all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog Fantasy.
Please help us help you. Download the app. Use promo code GILL.
And you can receive up to $250 in bonus cash and a special pick.
So we got two games tonight. The most popular picks are on the screen below.
So ride with them or fade with them.
But have fun tonight watching the games and playing Pick'Em with your friends at Underdog Fantasy.
So let's look at some of those picks.
We got SGA, higher 13.5 rebounds plus assists. Donovan Mitchell, higher 41.5 points rebounds and assists.
Jason Tatum, lower on 10 rebounds.
And Luka, higher on 28.5 points.
Like I said, ride with him or not.
It's your choice.
But get your bread up with Underdog Fantasy.

So let's get right into some hoops.
You said higher on Donovan Mitchell what?
41.5.
41.
Points, rebounds, assists.
He got a, he might have a 30 piece.
You like that?
I don't know, but okay, what was the other one?
Tatum, lower 10 rebounds.
I got that one, next one.
Luca, higher 28.5 points.
Are you rolling with him?
Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and take those. Okay, and then SGA, higher 13.5 points. Are you rolling with them? Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and take those.
Okay.
And then SGA, higher 13.5 rebounds and assists.
The Mavs and Thunder get ready for game four.
You good?
You getting your girl?
Okay, okay, okay.
I had to look.
I had to look.
Okay, I like those, man.
I might get four and low, baby.
Okay, you can go. Man,, I like those, man. You know what I mean? I might get four and low, baby. Okay, you can go.
Man, proceed.
Thank you, Gil.
So the NBA held their draft lottery Sunday.
Ping pong balls bounced in the Hawks' favor
as they landed the number one pick
for the first time in franchise history.
Hawks had just a 3% chance of winning the lottery,
fifth lowest odds for a team to secure the top pick
since the lottery began in 1985.
Wizards got the second pick.
Rockets got the third pick.
Spurs got the fourth and eighth picks.
And the Pistons, who were the worst team in the league this season, dropped to fifth.
Unlike last year's Wimby Sweet Stakes, there is no clear-cut top pick.
General consensus is this is one of the weaker drafts in recent memory.
But question for you, Gil.
How would you feel about the Hawks getting the number one pick
if you were Trae Young?
I'd be excited.
I mean, you know, you get the number one pick.
You know, for what's coming in the draft for him, right,
it's a seven-foot French kid who can do exactly,
not quite everything Wimby can do,
but, you know, you have a seven-foot guy kid who can do exactly, not quite everything Wimby can do,
but you have a seven-foot guy who's a center,
who can put the ball on the floor,
who can shoot, who can dive.
So it's no different between him going to Spurs
or staying where he's at.
So for him, if he's gonna go to the Spurs,
he might as well just stay home.
So you think Alex Sarg could be at the level of a Wimby?
We don't know.
But he has all the tangibles, right?
You know, he's a big guard, center-type style.
That's his comparable where you come into the league.
We don't know the defensive part of it because that's not what they're doing.
Offensively, he brings the ball up the court.
He can dribble.
Not as quite the moves that Wimby has, but he's doing what he does.
So we've seen what Wimby did this season, Rookie of the Year, generational rookie season.
You're saying if you, Trey, don't think about going to the Spurs and playing with that and
kind of put your faith in this Hawk squad?
Why do I say that?
Okay, I'm just, that's why I gotta just...
One is a mega star in a sense of media attention
So but you know for that type of player if you're trey
I mean are you gonna go to send it to me to put the same style or you're gonna stay home?
So can I saw you over here?
You know you have some thoughts on this situation if you were trey
How would you feel about the Hawks getting the number one pick I thought that was the wording of the question. Y'all act like fucking Magic Johnson coming to take his position.
I don't see Magic Johnson getting drafted this year.
No, but I'm saying, would you be excited?
Not necessarily a guard.
Yeah, he still has a home.
He doesn't have a job.
It's not like he doesn't have a job.
He's good.
Building for the future.
They had a chance to get in this year.
They had a lot of injuries.
Things like that happened this year.
So, yeah, if you're a franchise player and y'all get the number one pick,
yeah, to help you and better the roster, yeah, why not?
Okay.
Yeah, but, yeah, it's, yeah, people like, yeah,
Trey needs the lead, Trey needs the lead, Trey needs the lead.
It ain't John Wall coming to them. Yeah, yeah. When the Wizards got the number one pick, like, oh, Trey needs the lead, Trey needs the lead, Trey needs the lead. It ain't John Wall coming through them.
Yeah, yeah.
When the Wizards got the number one pick, like, oh, shit, I'm out of here.
Penny Hardaway coming through the door, like, that ain't, like, no.
It's the most ideal year for them to get the number one pick if you're a franchise player.
Yeah, yeah.
It's not like who.
To help bolster the roster, surrounding pieces that you already have.
And you can get the kid in.
Because you still got Ken Capella.
He can play the five still.
So you can come back to four.
So you can help him.
He ain't got to bang and do all those things that Wimby had to do as a rookie.
So that can help him out if they choose to go that route. But, no.
Yeah, Trey, you'd be good, though.
I'll bring you to my next question. There's been a lot of uncertainty about trey's future in atlanta with the hawks like we talked about and discussed
some potential other suitors i think the lakers were mentioned a while ago uh doesn't look like
that's gonna come into fruition as trey switched agencies yeah that doesn't yeah spurs also have
been mentioned you can't play with like trey can't play next to LeBron James.
It's just not going to work.
Yeah.
No, it's no different than when, you know, when Jordan, Kobe,
people didn't realize they never had a traditional point guard.
They didn't have guys who created the offense and did all that assist and all.
They didn't have those type of guys.
They had guys who either just defensive guys
or guys who were spot-up shooters, right?
So, you know, certain players can't play with those type of players
because what makes a Steve Nash or Chris Paul great
is that they're creating all the plays for everyone else.
A great player don't need you to create the play for him.
He can create it for himself.
So that's where usually a clash happens.
So it brings me to my next question, though.
Is it the right time for the Hawks to hit the reset button in free trade,
or do you think ride it out and see how this season goes?
When are they?
But they haven't made the playoff three times since he's been there
or something like that?
No, they haven't gotten out of the first round since, I think, 2021.
Hey, it's fucking three. Okay.
Do something to help him.
Quit changing coaches every year.
Do something to help him.
It's not always the guy's fault.
The guy's numbers are what they are
and they have been that since he came in.
Just because people
dislike him is a problem for people right now
he's a problem for people because they dislike it whatever reason because he got to bust an
ass mm-hmm and then you know about it and he's unapologetic about it so now give him some help
yeah been a consistent and I guess what I'm is, looking at you got this number one pick,
we'll see what they decide to do with the pick.
But from Trey's standpoint.
Yeah, they need to get an identity.
They need to know how they're going to play.
But, like, just keep changing coaches year in, year out, every other year,
year and a half.
You got a new coach.
Like, that's not a recipe for winning.
Like, he shows up and does his job, night in and night out.
He makes people around him better.
So it's not like he's out there, he's averaging 35 and three assists.
No, he's consistent double, damn near double-double every night.
So, yeah.
Even with Hawks, I mean, he's 25 years old.
So you're talking about blow it up.
Blow it up with what?
To bring back a bunch of 22, 23, 24, 25 year olds.
So that's the thing, this is not the 90s and the 80s where the guys are coming in at 22, 23 years old.
Four years later, five years later, five years
later they're 28, 29.
These guys are coming in at 18, 19 years old, playing five, six years and still only 24,
25, 26, right?
So that's what we're not realizing.
So when people will say, oh, we need to just blow it up and go younger, the motherfuckers
is young. They are young.
Like Tatum.
Tatum's been to the Eastern Conference Finals four times,
the finals two times, and he's only 25.
Right?
So, you know, all this blowing up and getting rid of it.
They're young.
They're still young.
So you still got a lot of time with these guys.
Yeah.
You're talking about 10 years, huh, right?
Yeah, 25 is young.
And before we proceed, we got the goat on the couch.
Cheryl Swoop back in the building.
OK.
I see you repping.
We're going to talk about that.
We got some signature shoe news in the works.
I don't even have to say anything.
OK.
You see something new?
Let me look.
Let me look. Let's go, Deuce Deuce!
Uh-oh. I mean, it could have been a little bigger. You're supposed to say, I moved over,
Lou. Yeah, you had to move over to see the Deuce Deuce on the floor. You heard enough.
Could have been a little bigger, but it's all good. Damn. It should be a little bit
bigger than ours, right? You're right.
Yeah, you're right.
We're going to have to clean that up.
It looks so good.
We got to put it on the side and make it a little.
It's good.
We got the floor refurbished.
Sometimes we just can't think team.
You know what I mean?
You got to be individual.
I know I'm getting off topic
because I have to respond to posts and stuff
because y'all be on the show when I'm not here, y'all.
Y'all forget about a sister.
We forget.
Y'all don't,
but Rashad does.
What he do?
You know what he did?
I had to comment.
I was like,
you showing everybody love,
but you forgot about me.
Oh.
You remember?
Yeah.
Yeah, thanks.
Okay.
Well, Rashad will be back
later this week.
Somebody said it.
He'll be here tomorrow.
I was probably you
because you always. I'm consistent. I'm a Kenyan. This later this week. Somebody said it. He'll be here tomorrow. I thought it was probably you because you always.
I'm consistent.
I'm a Kenyan.
This one right here.
I think I'm the one who said it.
Yeah.
It was you.
I'm just going to take credit for it.
I'm just going to take credit for it.
You did.
Let's keep it draft-centric.
So other draft news.
According to Shams, Bronny James will forego his remaining college eligibility and stay in the draft.
Bronny's been fully cleared to play in the league
and will participate in the draft combine this week.
So, question for everybody on this couch.
We've talked about it, but Bronny making the right move staying in the draft?
I personally don't think so.
And why don't you think so?
Okay.
Just needs to play a little more. And why don't you take soccer? just
Needs to play a little more
Like even look like some more minutes on the floor and the player like it's the freshman year was interrupted. Yeah
I'm not saying that he don't know how to play but he needs more minutes on the floor. I think playing at a high level
Mm-hmm Like you just can't not play then go and play at the highest level man.
It's different. NBA is not easy man. Like this, I don't want like people get this
shit confused like like it's not easy to play in the NBA. It's not. Like the 15th
guy can go. He's just the first eight guys, nine guys are better than him.
So yeah I just want to be able to go somewhere
where we can get more minutes on the floor then.
Yeah.
Because just looking at his size, he's going to have to play point.
And that, hey, good luck.
That's a hell of a position to come into
and not having to play against the
The better guards it's like it like in college learning how to defend guys on ball be like
like say this freshman was interrupted but
Wishing nothing but success in the best in this decision
But I just want just more minutes for him on the floor then make the decision
That's all do you think he's doing it to have a chance to play?
With or against his dad absolutely. It's there
When your dad says it
You probably been talking about it at home as well. Yeah, definitely pressures, you know
Even more pressure even more the pressures already there because who you are and
Then your dad says that
I think it adds it adds to it adds to that that pressure should I have to do
this now because if I wait another year two years like you never know like but
and it's unfortunate pressure mm-hmm like not to just be able to make the decision but it's their family. Mm-hmm.
Like, not to just be able to make the decision, but, hey, it's their family, wishing
nothing but the best in their decision.
But like I said, I just wish she would just have more minutes on the floor, because this
freshman year was interrupted, so.
And is he, I'm sorry, is he projected to, like, go top?
Anywhere from...
10, 15?
Like anywhere from mid-first round to late-second round.
Which is the, okay, when you're talking about just stock, right,
for a young kid, when you're talking about 18, 19,
it's not really about you being great right now or good right now
So what happens is you you they come out and then say all right?
Can you get drafted late first round?
right
Early second. Yeah, if so
You didn't really do nothing in college,
right?
It got interrupted
and we can get you drafted right now.
If you go back,
if you go back to college
and you don't do too well,
you might not get drafted.
The optics of
you got a full year,
you trained all year,
right?
You're coming into a new system.
We get to pick at your
game a lot more. Right now, it was hard to pick at his game because of the hard thing, right? He was
coming off the bench. So we don't know him. We don't really know him because we get to use their
skills. He was hurt, right? He came in in the middle of the season. So it's easier for them
to say, all right, we don't really know much about him. He goes to play by himself. He's going to jump. He's going to
shoot. He's going to do all this stuff. No
contact with anybody.
He can sneak into
top 17, top 25 pick.
That's all you want. You want the foot in the
door and say, all right, we got him in
versus somebody like a Miles Simons
who should have came out when he's hot.
Then he goes back and we're like,
all right, he's too... The longer longer you stay in you get to start picking
Change for him because of who he is or because of who his dad is because of who is that is you give him one more?
Year where we get to sit there are he's fully healthy and you get to watch and look and everything
He does is gonna be magnified. So you picking the right school would have been key because he was in the portal.
Picking the right school would have been key.
I'm going to ask you this.
With everything you just said, right, they don't know.
I'm saying the scouts, the GMs, they don't know, right?
They haven't had time to pick holes in his game and critique and things that he can't do and wish they go on point out more than the things that you can do it is
When they do find out
Are you drafting?
But but you already dragged them but is it setting him up for failure though, right?
Because you know that G League is a graveyard. Mm-hmm
once you
Get in there be like he's not what we thought then
Right. Mm-hmm send him to the G League and to get back at that age
Once people because they gonna call wherever the team is. So what's this? so why didn't it... Wow.
I just don't want... Because there's a lot of variables in this.
There's a lot of variables that could go great.
It could definitely go in his favor, definitely.
But to play devil's advocate just to give him something else to think about, that's a
realistic possibility because they don't know i think
right now it's it's the possibility of you know just like you know you
you're really thinking about let's take the father out of it right and it's just him standing on his
own he has a chance to be drafted late first second round today do you go back to college and chance it to be drafted in the same spot or not
at all because because I get to really go out there like right now I can we you can put him
in a one-on-one draft you know you know how they work out one-on-one yeah and he can perform well
in that absolutely right cuz he can shoot he can dribble he can jump so when you're sending me play against these cones
I can play good. I play the fuck out these cones
You know, so, you know getting getting drafted is usually the easiest part of it and from there
It's it's the willingness and of being a pro. So, you know, if you
once you get drafted, now
either you want to be an NBA
player, and you want to party and
all that, so you get your ass into the G League,
right, trying to fit in
with the rest of them, or you go in there and
try to be as professional as possible, and they
say, alright, we're going to keep you up
and groom you a little bit better.
Right, so... Is there a chance
he could play with LeBron?
I think that's
in the 90s.
90% Tom? 90%? Yes.
Getting drafted with
that 17th pick or
they have a late second round.
See, that's the...
They need help.
Yes.
All right.
Yeah, but that won't happen in the draft.
There ain't no help coming in the draft.
Okay, so good.
This is the Lakers.
All right, cool.
I'm with you.
So with that said, I get it.
Yeah, there ain't no...
You know, you don't...
Yeah.
You draft him at 17.
Do they have an early second?
So they got the 55th pick. Yeah. Yeah, draft you draft him at 17. Do they have early second? So they got out the 55th pick me. Yeah
Yeah
Somebody gonna be an ass and pick him. Well, I can tell you the right now. I'm gonna be
I can tell you this right now if this is a week draft
If this is a week draft, you gotta to watch out for whoever got 15, 16.
Because I know once I have your son, I know you have to play ball now.
Because you're not going to trust me to develop him, right?
I'll be talking to you.
I'm going to send him to the D-League, little shit like that.
Right?
And I'm going to force you to give me something.
Yeah, for him.
Absolutely.
I don't care what it is.
Yeah.
It's Coke machine.
You're going to give me something.
You're going to give me something, motherfucker. Your last jersey. I don't give a fuck what it is. Yeah. Yeah, it's coke
Your last Jersey I don't give a fuck what it is
Okay, that's Ray listen LeBron's last Jersey that 40,000-point jury you're gonna give me some
That's gonna be worth some cash
The crib and I'm telling you I'm one one of those types. Like, I'm looking like 15, 16.
This is ass.
Yeah.
You know what?
Yeah.
Or you might get somebody to go older, man.
Like, this is the thing.
Why does it have, like, damn going and trying to get a 19, 20-year-old.
Go get somebody who can actually help you play right now.
Because I'm pretty sure there's a 22 23 year old That's in this draft right now
That could help that can show up day one the training camp
That could actually help you and we talked about at that spot last season
You got a guy like Jaime hot gas who the Lakers passed on but yes
You know steak for your guy in college came in ready to be plugged in on a well
Yeah, for one he played for Mick Cronin.
I don't know if anybody
knows anything about Mick Cronin.
You're going to play hard.
He coached up under Bob Huggins.
You're going to
play hard if nothing else.
If nothing else, you're going to defend
and you're going to play hard.
He came in ready.
And be prepared to deal with anything.
Yeah, be prepared.
Absolutely.
Usually after the lottery, usually if you look at just the years past,
after the lottery, so pick 16 to 25, those are the guys you're trying to find anyway.
Those great college players that are ready to play right now because the
people who are picking in that draft are usually uh older teams pretty good they just need one
player to put them over the top so you're really getting those type of players anyway
yeah you can go to just hand pick some of these universities who you know are good college coaches
the villanovas the I'm saying like yeah
But guys who've been there grooming guys to play basketball the right way
So yeah, they talk about this draft
They're comparing a lot to the 2013 draft where Anthony Bennett was taking number one
But you had a guy like Giannis there at 15. So there's guys that you can grab now developed on that
So you need to come in
But that's scouting in but even even you can't even say you can't say
It is a found me. Yeah, they found yon is right. Oh they developed
Long as on big hands
Yeah, we can't teach you do something so yeah when people talk about potential
Yeah, it's still on you to develop it. It's oh you're honest to do this
So we asked the Cheshire Bronny go back to school?
Over 3,000 votes, 74% said yes.
We will see how it all plays out,
but he will be at the draft combine this week.
I think that'll give us a much clearer picture of what to expect.
He ain't going back to school.
No, he's not going back.
But what to expect come draft time.
If it ends up working out.
I think just the thing with Bronny,
he's in a lot different position than a lot of kids.
He's already got a ton of bread. I'm just saying. It's a different situation. Before we get on to out, I think just to think with Brian he's in a lot different position than a lot of kids He already got a ton of bread
It's a different situation before we get out. I got another question
Take his name off of it and just his size
And his skill six was a six three. Oh, what is this room? That's without you they I saw it it today is said what with without you without shoes
He said it was like six one. So he's six. So he's six three
playing basketball
Six three take his name off of it just the size with no war with the amount of experience he had in college
Everything do you think is see I gotta see it like what is he?
Is he jumping about but what a 40 40 anywhere from 40 44, right? college everything do you think is see I gotta see it like what is he is he
jumping about but what a 40 40 anywhere from 40 44 right so you're looking at
about what net he ain't jumping at I don't think it is he look like he be
getting up there on that jump in a bit well I don't know a Sierra Canyon don't
don't do that don't do that I know my son played there I know the Lord I know
that but you are there one or a foreign I know they lower the rim. I know that, but you are.
That one on that far end?
I know they lower the rim a little bit.
You walk in the gym at that rim there?
I know.
And KJ get off the floor with the best of them.
And I used to be looking at him and Cash is like,
geez.
Yeah, I know, dog.
I'm just saying.
You know what I'm saying?
They use that rim for, you know.
Yeah, workouts.
Yeah, workouts. Absolutely, yeah workout your workout
Because he so his freshman year right he didn't play
halfway right is hard or
so came in he came in
Later in the season later in the season the card coming coming back from the cardiac arrest complication
Oh, so really you have to...
Well, college is just one year, right?
So really all you have to go off of
is what he did at Sierra Canyon.
And it's a little glimpse.
That's what I'm saying.
It's little glimpses.
There's no different than like...
I mean, Zach Levine played a little bit.
Yeah, but...
Peyton...
Peyton Washington. Peyton, You know, he didn't play that
You know, he didn't play that much
He only averaged three points himself
But those were guys
But Peyton Watson
Six nine
I know, I know
But what ends up happening is
You're just looking for like
Can I use him?
So him coming into the draft is more going to be like
He's going to probably be where Drew Holiday is now.
Not the young one who was a one-on-one player.
The one that's now, right, more coming into as a defensive player.
He has some spot-up shots.
Depending on what type of player he's playing with.
You know, if he's playing with a dominant ball guy.
You know, he's just there to hit shots.
Hit open shots and play deep.
Because he knows how to play.
Like, I've seen him play since his freshman year in high school.
Knows how to play the game.
Has been taught how to play the game.
Absolutely.
He just needs to be a little taller.
Kane, like you mentioned, he was measured at, I think,
6'1 1⁄2 without shoes.
Had, like, a 6'7 wingspan,
which I think may bode well in his favor.
It's just that it's, you're not going to, even though you see the John Morant style of play,
he's not going to be that type.
He's not that popular.
So he's not going to go to a team that's, like, in the development mode.
So the Detroit Pistons, the Charlotte, Houston Rockets, Spurs, Washington.
No.
None of them.
Right now, he has to go into where you have veteran players.
There's no pressure on them.
The Lakers are going to find a way to get him.
Oh, no.
He's staying in L.A.
There.
Yeah.
Fuck around Clippers, Mike.
As I said, some scoundrels in the draft. What? Yeah. There yeah fuck around Clippers Mike
Scoundrels in the draft. Yeah, what yeah, oh we said talking about the draft lottery. Oh, we're moving on
What the hell is the Houston Rockets doing what they're gonna do with the fourth pick like what the way I got the third third Okay, my bad shit fuck
Three four four you got sent they got Whitmore Eason sangoon Fuck. Okay. Who? Damn. Two, three, four, four.
You got to send.
They got Whitmore, Eason, Sangoon, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith.
They got a whole bunch.
It's a gumbo and the best seasoning I write.
God damn it.
That's about to be a bad taste.
That's a nasty gumbo.
That's a nasty.
You got the third pick again.
Like, what?
Who?
How? Who? How?
Who you going to go get?
What do you just sign Fred Van Fleet?
You just sign him point guard.
Dylan Brooks, you just gave him money.
They can, I mean, they can, they can.
I mean.
You got Steven Adams.
What the hell do you possibly need?
It's a good, it's a good problem to have.
It is.
I got a third pick. What's happening? Yeah, which I might talk after that's what I'm thinking by talking Lakers
anybody was anybody who who needs something but it feels like one of those
like if this last year with that third pick you can move you can make some
motion happen it feels like this year but listen best I could do I don't give
up what nobody say third pick is the third pick There's an there's two all-stars in that month. Yeah, for sure. You gotta go find you gotta find them
You got there's somebody in there. There's two all-stars. This math is there's two all-stars somewhere around here
You just gotta go. I gotta find out who he is
So let's let's get into some current basketball
Wolves got smacked by 27 in game three
But we're an NBA best
21-4 after a loss this season
entering their game four showdown
with the defending champs.
But the Nuggets makeshift
big three of Jokic, Murray, and A.G.
took back the momentum
and home court advantage
with a much-needed win.
So let me ask you this.
So there was 21-3
the game before that one, right?
After the loss?
Yeah.
No, that was their first... Before the loss. No, that was their first game through.
So now they're 21-5.
So Nuggets jumped out to a 16-point lead in the second quarter,
but the Wolves cut it to seven with 48 seconds remaining.
Then they let the Nuggets go on an 8-0 run in the final 20 seconds.
You see Joker catching Ant-Man slipping right there.
So this was really where it all shifted. MPJ got the dunk.
Jamal Murray. See, he hit that half
quarter. So that capped off that
8-0 run in 20 seconds. Then he stared down.
It looked like Kevin Harlan at first, but
it was actually Reggie Miller, Jamal Crawford,
the TNT crew. Why would he be staring at Kevin
Harlan? Whatever. I'm just saying.
I'm saying Reggie said he's on the game.
And Kevin Harlan's face like, no, we got two Hall of Famers sitting at the table.
But he know Kevin Harland about that.
But Jokic dominated the Wolves.
Big man finished with 35 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, three steals,
including 16 points in the fourth quarter.
Aaron Gordon made his first 10 shots, finished 11-12 from the field.
Gordon became the first player in NBA history to put up at least 27-7-6
while shooting 90% from the field in a became the first player in NBA history to put up at least 27 7 and 6 while shooting 90%
from the field in a playoff game.
Jamal Murray had 19 points, 8 dimes,
5 rebounds, including 12 points in the third quarter.
Yeah.
This is that same shit.
This is the same thing I was saying earlier.
Can you go back to the first clip?
First, second clip. Back and to the
left. I would love to play him, boy.
Let me show you that first defense.
It's the first defense.
Right there.
I was regarding Joker.
No, not that one.
Not this.
He's burping him.
I'm going to show you that.
Okay.
Because it's cat.
Right here.
Right here.
Stop.
Go bear.
Okay.
Okay.
If you're cat, who are you blocking?
Right?
I have a shot blocker on him. That's the reason the player the year shot on him
Yeah, so and this is what I was saying if this was switch you have Rudy in the back that can decide to jump or not
Cat is gonna he's done it twice
Rudy has him under control. He's gonna jump jump straight up. What are you doing back there defensively?
Because what happens is you jump out of place to give Aaron Gordon a pass.
It's your man that they're passing the ball to.
You don't need to be doing it because you don't impact nothing.
Well, you're not doing anything right now.
You have no clue where your man is.
I see it all the time.
He does it every time.
That's why he doesn't need to be to help defender. So keep going a little bit
Yeah, all right and press play right? Here you go. Look at him. He's already out now Rudy's still there Rudy
Look, yeah, you don't have to come over, you know unnecessary, right? Yeah, why why did it slow motion? Yeah?
Wow, no doubt they had a few questionable plays in the game. But those are the questions.
Those are the questions.
Is Towns playing the help side big when he should be the on-the-ball big?
Even if he's on the ball, he's still getting burped.
He's burping.
I'd rather you burp and then I can choose to, like, all right,
that looks a little difficult.
Let me sit back.
But he's still coming over, though.
Sometimes.
He did a couple of flips. sometimes he did it let's go
let's go let's fast forward a little bit let's play it out again uh-oh because i know he's he
stayed stayed ground on some of them but this is g tail see right there he stayed see keep going
i wish i had it he stayed on that one you wish you was i wish i had it like because
you need the clicker gill we're working on that right now somebody wish you was? I wish I had it, like, because... You need the clicker, Gil.
We're working on that right now.
Somebody hop on Amazon.
Yeah, nah, we good.
But, nah, it's... But even this player, I mean...
Yeah, but he and they are necessarily helping off the corner.
Like, strong side corner, they're unnecessarily helping off of.
Like, you're the...
No need.
You're the best defender in the league.
We have to be able to trust you to guard your man.
Yeah, Jamal Murray was 0-1.
That's tough.
Yeah, that's tough.
That's tough.
That's real tough.
That was tough, too, though.
So, on the Wolves' side, Ant led the Wolves with a new playoff career high,
franchise record 44 points, along with five rebounds, four assists.
His fourth career 40-point game and third this postseason.
Cat had an off-night finishing with 13-12.
Right here.
Watch, he's going to jump out of again.
Watch.
Here come Cat.
He commits too early.
Look at it.
You can't do that, dog.
He's fading away.
He does it every time.
Just playing with them
Like what are you gonna do if you like what you did? You're not gonna block it. You just in no man's land
Also, who is this Anderson number one?
Like where was he going? You're guarding Jamal Murray who?
Has been on fire the whole game. I look like look where you're just going. That's real right you're going up
Where is he going now?
Go back now fast for a little bit. Yeah, cuz he could eat the towards your mom
Yeah, like I completely don't hear this moment. Yeah for why don't I think?
There are four three three four people on yeah, he could
He'd manipulate him. Yeah, he's them. Playing with their emotions. He's nice, though.
But you can't be Minnesota going back home up 2-0.
And not get one.
And not get one.
Yeah, that's...
Yeah.
Yeah, because I thought they was...
The way they looked at home,
and I thought Denver was in trouble.
You would expect that the Wolves
would at least win one or two.
At least get one.
At least win one or two. I know what they're thinking. You would expect the world to at least
Wanted to I know what they think I know they looking at her Rudy like a uh
Mmm, what a trophy not even with a tree
Paternity leave you ever heard of paternity leave we're gonna go ahead and let you
Don't sit back at, because we got this without you. They were. We handled it without you. They did.
Hey, on the road.
This is the eighth time in NBA history the road team has won the first four games of the series.
Now the Nuggets are headed back home looking to get the first home win of the series.
But for all you, what adjustments have the Nuggets made offensively to get back in the rhythm?
Just match the intensity, man, defensively. And they told their best player to go be the best player in the league, go be MVP.
Lunchtime.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Sometimes that's what it, it's that simple sometimes.
And I also think that's where like the whole we've been here before, like the experience
comes in.
But I mean
and what I saw too on me because I'm sure what I saw is they cool Anthony
Edwards doing what he do or not and limited everybody else so is he gonna be
aggressive and he's gonna do his thing but the rest of them guys they feed off
of his energy and his getting to the basket and making plays. So that's what I saw. Like they put one on him and then double team him and make them
other guys. I'm saying limit them other guys. It feels like Ant's been there for the most
part. In the first couple games, we saw everybody else kind of rallying behind him. But now
it's just like, y'all going to help me or not? Yeah, Murray's playing better than he
did the first two games.
He's hitting shots.
Offensively, they haven't done nothing
different. They're still shooting the same
amount of threes.
Still not getting to the free throw line
either side.
No one's done anything different besides
Murray's just playing a lot better
than he was the first two games.
When it comes to just details, you know,
obviously you can see Timberwolves just failing on the detail part of it
where you're getting easier shots for everybody else.
Like, if you set that and let Joker hit those shots or take those shots,
you wouldn't be giving Aaron Gordon, you know, 20-something points a game because
he's just sitting there just waiting for you to just slip.
He'd probably go get him.
I guarantee you he can block it.
Go block it.
Go block it.
God, what's going on over there?
Shit, mix two threes in there.
Mix two corner threes in there.
It feels like the league knew what they were doing when they didn't suspend Jamal Murray
for game three for throwing the heat pad and all that other shenanigans in there.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
We need that series.
If Wolves lose this series, they're going to be talking about that.
They're going to be talking about game three.
They're going to be talking about game three.
He should not have been there.
Definitely going to be a conversation.
Sure you weren't feeling it?
Which part?
Jamal.
I mean
No, okay No, but but there are the champs like it doesn't really matter
being down o2 going on the road, that's where I think the experience in the like
We are just not gonna lose these games. We're gonna go back home tie it up and the series is over
so I know us as Laker fans,
we were trying to smoke the Nuggets pack prematurely
just because of the lingering.
But everybody else I felt like was doing it too.
Did people bury the Nuggets prematurely?
Of course. I mean, you lose. I mean, come on.
You lose two at home. It don't matter who it is.
You're losing two at home.
It was married. They earned it.
Two at home with an ass married. They earned it. Two at home
with an ass whooping
on the second one. I mean, this is not...
You know, let's just be honest.
It's not like, oh yeah, we have faith.
You lost two at home. The second one was
an ass whooping. Them coming back
home fully healthy,
ready. I'm not going to lie.
It felt good.
I picked Denver to win it all.
Just imagine the way I'm like, damn, that's what y'all.
It felt good.
Yeah, but you at least gotta get one at home.
Yeah.
Like you gotta do what happens.
You just can't, and you can't come out and get smacked in game four.
You at least gotta make it competitive.
I mean, we'll see what happens in game five, but it feels very easily
like the Nuggets
doing the same thing.
They're going to
pack off the Wolves.
Minnesota is over for y'all.
Go home.
The series is over.
It's 4-2.
And that's what I mean.
This has a 4-2 feeling now.
You know, it has a game seven.
You do?
Yeah.
Denver wins at home.
Minnesota.
Minnesota finally wins at home, and then it goes back.
Yeah, I think they're going to get them in six.
They're going to.
But I was wrong.
Yeah.
We get emotional after each game.
Because it's the playoffs, so we know we go home and we register different, but, you know.
No, we didn't.
But it's still.
The decision watching the Denver, gets, it wasn't emotional.
It was us watching the damn game.
Like, yo.
And they going on the road for two.
Like, man, they be lucky to get one.
Like, that's the mentality.
Wolves lost by eight points.
If they don't have that 8-0 stretch to end the second quarter,
or at least don't let Jamal Murray hit that 55-footer.
It just feels like.
You ain't letting me.
I mean, I'm saying it was a bad inbounds pass.
Terrible decision.
As soon as he let that bitch go,
I watched the game occasionally. I'm like, oh, that's good.
That's what it felt like.
That was one of the ones where I was like, oh, shit.
Those are the ones you go back into the locker room
and be like, fuck, we lost.
Just that play because
everything is going against you at that point
in time, right?
It's all like she ain't working hitting shit
And then you turn it over and then you turn it over then he throw it up there didn't go in you go back to
Like tonight. Yeah
Walk to the locker room and foster out this motherfucker to God
Hey, I don't want to bust Rudy out, but he did it again.
He can't help himself.
He makes me laugh.
What?
I don't want to do it, but let's just say he already got fired one time for doing that shit.
Stop it.
He tried to do the money sign again.
Yeah, he did the money sign again.
I'll hit him again then.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
You know somebody reported it. Yeah was in conclusion with Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray also hit it in game two and I don't think I find for that
Scott fought he had a baby. I'm not sleeping enough. Like y'all know how it's got foster call some motor he said
You just got in trouble for that stop took the lower on you tonight business, let it go, bro My best part of the whole game. Yeah, you just got in trouble for that. Stop, dawg. Took the lower on you tonight, bitch. Just let it go, bro.
My best part of the whole game.
Yeah, you know somebody reported it.
Motherfucking Nicola pulled a chair on Rudy.
Yeah.
I know you were going to appreciate that.
I was proud.
Oh, he made me proud.
No, that was my thing, Charlotte.
I lived.
What happened?
I lived to pull a chair on a big man.
Uh-huh.
Okay.
And then for another big to do it.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
The stronger one, too.
Stronger big.
Oh, yeah.
It was amazing.
Had him out there seawalking.
Shout out Jamal Crawford.
Yonkish did it to Rudy.
Yeah.
Made Rudy over there
trying to pound with them bones.
What?
Did he fall?
Moved and moved.
No, he traveled.
Oh, it's the best shit ever.
Oh, you fight with him
because he been fighting with him
because the first he hit him
and he phone with
The ball was attorney was asked for a file. I'm gonna get his ass this time
Stone baby nothing fighting you say like a big-ass do like that on Joker side just
My god, yeah, he was a man. So y'all not gonna call three seconds
Because you can't grab the paint. Oh, it's one two three
Is that the same game where that was huh?
When I really was trying to help him up any slip and they ended up scissor
Yeah, when it ain't going right brother it ain't going for but it's moments like that. You just see like oh
Yeah Moments like that you just see like, oh, this is, yeah.
So immediately after the game,
and we got to talk about the bright spot for the Wolves,
Anthony Edwards, 22 years old.
Like I said, new playoff career, hot new franchise record.
But immediately after the game,
Ant-Man has some words for Jamal Murray as he was leaving the court, you know.
And that's the thing.
Ant has this.
Ant-Man always got something.
He's ready.
You know what I mean?
Unwavering. And that's the thing. Ant has this. Ant-Man always got something. He's ready. You know what I mean? Yeah.
Unwavering.
And it still looks like he believes it at this point.
But I don't know if the rest of his squad does.
But during his post-game press conference,
Ant broke down his exchange with Murray.
Anthony, did you have any words with Jamal
or any of the Nuggets at the end of the game there?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I just told his ass.
That's what we love that.
Keep talking that.
That's what we like.
Well, I love it, you know.
He didn't say nothing back, but I'm pretty sure you heard me.
They heard me.
Yeah, we live for that.
Most important part of that was, well, I love it.
I don't know about the rest of y'all.
I love it.
I can't speak for my teammates, but I love it.
In the last dance, the dude Ant-Man has drawn comparisons to said,
that's a sign of a good man if he can talk shit when it's even score
or talk shit when you're behind score.
Ant's been talking since before the first tip-off.
But what are your thoughts on Ant-Man welcoming Smoke like this?
You know, what is really good character and character building is he never you he never shows like like disappointment
right and his teammates and his performance like like you know like we've played even
when when shit ain't going our way we like we like it's over like you can see it on our face
him he's always smiling he always jab even there he already already has a grin on our face. Him, he's always smiling. He's always yapping. Even there, he already has a grin on his face.
Like, he's already smiling.
And it's like, it seems like you root for him because the energy that he possesses, it just seems so positive.
It's his enthusiasm to compete.
Yeah.
It's like he just wants to compete.
He don't care about.
Yeah.
He's enthused about the competition of this no matter who you put in front of yep
And you have like you see you have to root for somebody like that you can't help but to look like he's energetic about it
Oh shit, I told his ass shit
It doesn't matter yeah, they're at home or if they're on the road like he's the same
No, no, sure. I feel like it's during your career, but just how important yeah for sure you did
Yeah, okay, but how does that help a team? I have that confidence
But to Gil's point I wasn't gonna sit in a press conference if we got a SB
Right and with a smile on my face
No, you were gonna know if I was pissed that we just lost and
For him to say I love it. I don't know about my teammates like that
I haven't really seen him throw any other team is under but him like right having that moment of clarity like now
This is what I'm built for but yeah, so you
You know alpha he doesn't say he doesn't leave dog around us. So he had to be built for that
Yeah, right. It's important. be built for that. Yeah, and it is important. If he built for that,
everybody else will follow.
Like, he's just
talking shit to Jamal.
Y'all just lost
two games at home.
Uh-huh.
And he's like, all right.
Talking shit to him
off the floor.
Like, because you got
to think about it.
Look at the other side
when they were down 0-2.
Throwing heat packs
or something.
I don't want to talk
to the media no more.
Leave it there.
Leave it there
about talking to the media.
He's just like,
this is the game right we went up
today they back to now we got to go back there what's happening yeah that's not like that's
what i said the spirit itself just seems so positive right when you're talking about like
having someone be the face of your team the face of the league you don't it's like you don't have
to ever worry about anything
really happening negative.
Unless there's just some blurb out there.
It seems like he's always in control of his emotions.
But he does have Conley over there too.
Who's never gotten a
technical ever.
You do got mild mannered people
who really know how to control their emotions.
That's crazy.
You know if he mad, he really mad.
So I'm gonna know the refs like, yo, maybe I'll get
mentioned. Like who? Conley? Conley could
probably basically do whatever the fuck he wanted to do
and the refs would be like, we probably
deserve that.
He's the one guy that could.
Extending it beyond
the Wolves were great in game four when
Ant was on the floor, but without him it was a different story.
Edwards played 45 minutes, were great in game four when it was on the floor, but without him it was a different story Edwards played 45 minutes 20 seconds in game four and the Wolves were plus five in those minutes, but they were minus 13
Damn in the two minutes and 40 seconds that he was on the bench Wow
So is a man writing a check with his mouth that his team won't be able to catch
To this team because I ain't worried about it
45 Won't be able to catch to this team because I ain't worried about it Y'all gotta help me catch my credit is good, but I need y'all to cosign
Like you seen that I guess it was a stat that someone they put up or
Jamal Murray was playing the most minutes since me.
Where I played 47.6 minutes in the playoff series.
And you know how I said, why are y'all subbing?
Because I remember, you know they got LeBron James over there, right?
They got LeBron James.
I don't give a fuck if LeBron James out for five.
By the time he get back in, we need to have a cushion for ourselves.
Same with Jokic and somebody like that, right?
There's some series that you have to play your stars the whole game.
Yeah, you should never come out.
You can.
This is a chance.
MVP, three-time MVPvp finals mvp right if he
gets back to the finals it could be finals mvp again yeah when he goes out of the game take
advantage no you know what i mean there's take advantage that means keeping this motherfucking
in right there's just some there's just some forces out there you don't have the luxury to
sub and you shouldn't even think about subbing.
Well, the coach shouldn't think about it,
and you should think about coming out.
This is one of them.
Ann played 42 minutes game one,
37 minutes game two and three,
45 minutes last night,
but is it to the point now?
37, like...
Blowout.
Yeah, that's what I said.
Unless it's a blowout, this is...
No.
You got to play the whole game.
So you see some 48-minute games coming in?
I see some Tibbs, some Tibbs games over there where you...
I'm a workie.
What I'm saying is every series is different.
Yeah.
Every matchup is different.
You have to play to your matchup.
So, you know, you didn't have to play 47 minutes last series
because, you know, we dominated.
This series, you might have to play 47 minutes last series because you know we dominated this series You might have to play 47 to 48 minutes the next series you might get to play 41 minutes or 37
Right, it's it it varies. This is not one of those where as you can see
to
Two minutes and 40 seconds minus 13 is goddamn. That's the game. Where's the game right there? Yeah, you know he's 22 so he young you got it you can wrestle in a series though man absolutely
maybe coming sooner than expected but let's head over i'm just saying yeah you know you know i want
to see the nuggets get put in the pack for selfish reasons biased journalist but it ain't
we're feeling good after game two all right and i knew it ain't he was feeling good
after game two
alright
and I knew it wouldn't last
I had to get the jokes out
while you could
but
game three's alright
we'll get them next time
because
LA
LA Wolves fans
are going through it
right now
LA Wolves
the Lakers started
in Minneapolis
alright
you want the dude
to beat you up
to get beat up
yeah yeah
that's usually how it works that's usually how it works you're going whooping you're going whooping Started in Minneapolis. I do to beat you up to get beat up
No you do it yeah
But let's move over to the lot of fan bases was created
That's a lot of family. I could I couldn't be the goddamn it is you get up for no ghetto
Are you seeing it with the brownies the Celtics fans rooting for the
You know back in the day we see all types of craziness for LeBron's downfall But the game is the game let's head over to the East first three games of the Knicks Pacers series
We're each decided in the final minute of the game
But the Knicks were banged up and burnt out heading into game four and the Pacers gave them their version of a Sunday service
So Pacers started the game on a 34 11 run
Never looked back leading by as much as 43 points in the game. Yeah, it was
It was nasty very boring, but if you were Pacers fan, I'm sure very very
enjoyable and exciting
Tyrese Halliburton finished with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
TJ McConnell had another solid performance off the bench, 15 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals.
And Neesmith had 8 points and 12 rebounds, but was big on the defensive end,
keeping Brunson in check for the second straight game.
On the other side, Nova Knicks all struggled in this one.
Brunson had 18 points, but he was 6 for 17 from the field, 0 for 5 from 3.
Snapped his streak of 20 straight playoff games with 20 or more points.
Dante DiVincenzo had his worst game of the series, 3 for 13 with 7 points.
Josh Hart, 2 points and 3 rebounds in 24 minutes.
Wow.
He had 4 straight double-doubles before that.
And Alec Burks was one of the few bright spots for the Knicks,
taking advantage of his
opportunity for the second straight game. He had 20 points, 23 minutes. But the Knicks shot 33%
from the field, 19% from behind the arc, suffered their worst loss of the season. So we talk about
just the heavy workload. The Tibbs has put this rotation through. They now are down four key
players. Are the Knicks starters feeling the effects of the heavy workload they've shoulder throughout these playoffs?
They'll say what you gotta say that he just made no what I'm saying is it's this is
You have the best technology, right?
You have the best medical staff.
You have everything to your disposal.
You have the legs, sleeves.
You got, motherfucker, the cryo chambers.
You got all of this, right?
If everybody before you was playing 45 to 48 minutes...
82 games a year, right? And they played from game one, went to the finals every year.
I'm sorry, I can't.
This is normal.
I guess because the game playing time has been diluted to everybody playing 32, 33 minutes,
but they wonder why everybody's being hurt.
Right?
Josh Hart ain't been hurt.
Right?
The guys who's playing 43 to 48 minutes ain't been hurt.
So are they playing too much?
No.
I can call it game start.
First time out is at the nine-minute mark.
Nobody really went hard anyway, but if I think somebody's going to be tired, I call it at the 10.50.
As soon as you get up, go down two times.
Time out, if I want to do that.
They're making it seem like these motherfuckers are playing 12 straight minutes of basketball up and down, back and forth.
No, we can, there's a timeout every three minutes
From the NBA itself so those good TV timeout, I just don't like
They're conditioned to play this yeah
They're conditioned to play 40 plus games. We're just so we're just so conditioned in watching players play 36 minutes.
And so we're like,
oh, man, these guys are going too long.
Oh, man.
Because I think for me,
you're trying to win a championship.
And so because of that goal,
you have to have your best players on the floor, whether that's playing the whole game.
Sometimes you got to play through not an injury, but you got to play through pain.
Right.
Because there's a difference in pain and being injured.
I just know when we played, if coach would have looked my way even if i looked tired like do not take me out
of the game because i know there were times where i saw a player coming to the table and like gave
me eye contact right and i looked at coach i'm like i'm not coming out so so either put her in
for somebody else or send her back to the bench because we're trying to win a championship.
And it's not saying that those players aren't good enough, but you're not good enough to win the championship.
If it's regular season, come on.
Come on, sir.
Come on.
You can come in five minutes.
But then you got to come.
No.
That's the difference between good and great, though.
Y'all are good. Y'all are good.
Y'all are good.
You got two and a half minutes, girl.
I do need some water.
Coach, I need a water break once I get my water.
No, like, I don't understand it.
Well, before game three came, we talked just about Brunson, that foot injury.
Said you got to let him ride, you know, let him go and try and get one of those games.
Because obviously you now have the potential to go up 3-1.
Pacers now taking it, tied it up 2-2.
Well, you got to play the rest of the way now.
You got to go.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
He was going to take one off when I said it should have been game three.
Yeah.
Right.
If there was anyone he should have took off, it would have been game three.
But no, he just...
Ain't no more.
Ain't no days off now.
You're going to have the rest of the summer off.
In hindsight, do you feel like it was a good move for Brunson
to play those two games in Indiana?
Yeah, yeah, I had to.
I would say that if there was anything...
Game three was the game if he was going to take one off
because he was coming off the injury.
If he was going to take any game off of the game,
like three days, four days in between the game,
that would have been the one.
You played in both of them.
You didn't look that well in either one of them.
So going home, hopefully, if it feels better,
because they're going to need him.
Yeah.
And this is the problem.
It's still managing him during a game.
So if you know his foot hurt, don't have him bring the ball up where he's going to be pressured the whole game.
Thank you.
Yeah, don't make him just, hey, do the old Dwyane Wade.
Zipper him up in the half court.
I know it's his foot.
Tweak this foot.
I'm going to tweak this foot.
It's a little tweak.
Just a little tweak.
A little sore foot.
Yeah, we're just, because my feet are sore. I'm going to tweak this foot. Just a little tweak. Just a little tweak. A little sore foot.
Yeah, what does...
Because my feet are sore.
I don't do nothing.
It's got to be more than sore, because if it's a sore foot, you played through a sore
foot.
What is causing the soreness in that?
You know New Yorkers.
They're going to be like, oh, he broke it, and he's still like, no.
Just that's what's...
Something like that, because he's being pressure for a court, you're making a move more than
he needs to.
Yeah.
Yeah. Just bring it... Hey, let Josh Hart bring it up.
Whoever bring it up.
Give it up to him in the half court and let him go from there.
Yeah, because Indiana's doing what they're supposed to do.
Yeah.
Like, they're going to go pressure him because they know his foot is injured or sore or whatever it is.
But they're putting people in the game.
Boys get in the game panicking.
The one kid, Jericho, whatever it is, where they threw the ball, he bring the ball to
the floor.
This nigga stopped right before half court.
He stopped the pick up.
Right before half court.
Nigga, you take one more dribble, you are past the line where they stopped counting.
He stopped right before the line.
Oh my God.
Eight seconds.
Oh my gosh.
I'd be out there losing it, man.
Brain fart. Brain fart.
Brain fart.
Like, dribbling up,
Biles Turner is about from me to you.
Uh-huh.
That's half court.
Uh-huh.
He stopped right here,
miles or just close the distance.
I'm like, wow.
Wow.
Get your ass out of the game.
That's why you only play
for the second.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like, we haven't even seen this in,
when was the last time we seen someone getting ready to get subbed,
and then a player be like, nah.
Nah, I ain't doing that.
What, yeah, we haven't seen that?
Nah, nah, hell nah.
We haven't seen that motherfucker be like, aw, hey, coach.
And you sitting there, no.
He said no.
Yeah, because he could come in and punch you. Now you sit there that no?
Now you gotta walk your ass
Not a player no but that when you see a guy walk up there and then
And then he ended up same player walking his ass back. That means whoever he was going in said no. Yes
special
Right shoot your free throw and you know they're coming in for you
We've talked about that on my mission we go renegotiate
From back in you day, but who you got? Oh no
I get another shot. I get my oven down back
And we lock it in. No fouls. Oh, my God.
See, we get to the rest of this quarter. We lock it in.
No fouls.
Yeah.
See, we get to the rest of this quarter.
Move your feet.
Oh, my God.
But we've talked about the Knicks, you know, injury play.
Obviously, Julius Randle missed the entire playoff.
Mm-hmm.
Mitchell Robinson hurt.
Bogdanovich hurt.
O.G.
Ananobi dealing with his situation.
So, the Knicks are 26-5 with OG Ananobi this season.
13-16 without him.
How important has OG been
to the Knicks
and how will they fill his void
for the remainder of this series
if he cannot go?
How can he fill it?
How will...
How can he?
How will they?
All the players he subbed,
he got traded for.
Bring him back real quick.
No, he was filling the void.
That's what I'm saying.
He was.
He was filling the void for Julius Randle being out.
Yeah.
So, shit, what do you do now?
You can't trade nobody else.
Say it again now.
Double void.
Yeah.
Wait a minute.
Randle hurt his right shoulder, huh?
One of them.
Yeah, because it was Randall.
Yeah, like 80%.
Listen, first of all, you don't go right anyway.
You don't go right.
You don't know what your right hand look like anyway,
so can you come on back a little bit?
Yeah, right shoulder surgery.
Oh, yeah, so he had to end up having surgery?
Yeah, that was it.
That's why the season ended for him.
Okay.
But, I mean, you know, he don't use it anyway.
So just being that, just ah, just hit him with the shimmy, you know?
Ah.
Do you?
You know what I mean?
I mean, I seen dudes with just one arm out there.
You know what I mean?
So it's kind of the same.
You're just stupid.
What?
It's unnecessary.
That wasn't necessary.
It's true, though. You know what I mean? Motherfucker do a whole spin. No, I get it. And you stuck on the same on like how you keep going for the same thing I seen him cookie
That wasn't necessary
I've been saying I'm gonna be that only you don't be gonna be going in a circle
I'm going you gonna be going in a circle I'm guard you gonna be going in the circle
What never know where you never know where the show go man
Man, I got NBA players that had both and couldn't go to the so yeah like he's saying right now
I'll tell you the menu. I got some people that listen you ain't got no right blink in your car
Would do who only had one off so I know the feeling
What I know he got a jumper but god damn it I know
He going right he's going he is going right so let me just go
and ask you 1 000 right on this all every single time he's 101 there's nothing else
there's not too many things in this panel where you can say it's 100 yeah yeah i put money on
that one so you're good randall come on back man they need you let's talk a little bit about these
pacers uh what are the pacers shown you in these past two games back
at home? Kenny, you said it was going to be, obviously we know the energy of Madison Square Garden,
but coming back to Indianapolis. I played in that business playoff.
I knew it was going to be, they're going to be ready to play in there. White people
saying, man, I ain't seen a few flip. They giving them a finger, flipping them off.
What did you say? A few of the old white man sitting behind the basket flipping players
You look you make sure you look dead
Like yeah, hold out hold out. Yeah
Go shoot your feet though now
That's the one thing about fans, man. When it's loyalty,
it's loyalty.
They don't give a shit.
Like, for real, for real.
No, they did what they're supposed to.
They took care of home, man.
This is the way playoffs is.
And the unfortunate thing
for the team
who is the lower seed,
you got to win on the road.
Whoever got the higher seed don't have them
so that's
so Indiana gotta find out
a way to get a game
cause they can win at home
we know that
it's a tough environment
to play in
but
you gotta find a way
to get a win on the road
trying to get one in
Madison Square Garden
yeah you got it
even when they were arguing about the foul calls, right?
Like, come on, Indiana.
You're no different than Golden State.
Who's getting fouls for y'all?
Y'all complain, send all these non-calls.
78 plays, I believe.
78 plays, like.
You got a $35,000 check in the mail for it.
78 plays.
Damn. Not realizing. that review. Yes. Yes
Allegedly missed Wow not realizing that how many eight seventy eight
Right if mathematics says if a ref actually went by the rule book and called all the plays
They actually wouldn't be a game
There wouldn't be a game they don't have enough players game. They don't have enough players because the fouls, everybody would be fouled out.
Game's over.
Yeah.
Third quarter.
Yeah, yeah.
So they have to let the game go.
Because if they start calling everything in the room, but they start calling it-
The fans will be salty.
There's no game. So, you know, for the most part, they're missing about,
I think it was like 40% of calls.
Just for, just so there's a basketball game.
Just so there's some type of flow.
Flow, yeah.
Hi there, I'm Ryan Reynolds,
and I have a list of things I'd like to have on set.
It's just little things like two freshly cracked eggs,
scrambled with crispy hash brown, sausage crumble,
and creamy chipotle sauce from Tim Hortons.
From my rider to Tim's menu, try my new scrambled eggs loaded breakfast box.
I think about just, you know, how you playing Brunson, all these things.
Like, how do you...
I can see that.
I just can't sit there and just blow the whistle the whole time.
Yeah.
Yeah, because if they did, right, Jalen Brunson got fouled 18 times before he got to half court.
Yeah.
Bringing the ball up the floor.
I'm like, yeah, that's a foul.
That's a foul.
That's a foul.
That's a foul.
Yoga just shoots 40 free throws a game.
I mean, shit, every time he do that and you do one of these, foul.
Shit.
Foul.
God damn it, that's a foul.
Every time a man go to the basket, and one, foul.
You can call, or you can call a foul. Every time a man go to the basket, and one, foul. You can call,
or you can call carry every play.
Every play.
Every,
do and be able to.
Or carry, travel.
Be,
because soon as,
it's this and half court.
They call it a play,
they,
Yeah.
It's every,
everybody do it.
Ain't nobody just going to sit there
and do,
me, they doing this.
Right? That this. Right?
That drill.
Right?
Yeah, like you're patting a volleyball.
Okay, I'm not going to do this.
Yeah, that's not it.
And then as soon as you go into your mood, you...
Yep.
But do you think it was smarter for Rick Carlisle
to call out that officiating heading back home
knowing that they were more than likely to get a better whistle?
No, that was genius because if you did it
after game one, even though that's where all the calls were.
It wasn't all the calls
in game two, but the majority of those calls in game one.
But if you did it back in Madison
Square Garden, that would have been hectic.
So you do it going back home,
knowing your fan base is there,
knowing the NBA
is looking, we're going to monitor it more, right?
Knowing, Dan, if the game just played normal,
because you put eyes on it, it kind of makes everyone conscious, right,
of making certain calls because it's so lopsided.
So it was a great move for the mental purposes of it.
I know the answer to this, but I don't.
Why is everything public?
Like, why do everybody
know everything
that everybody does
about everything
every single fucking day?
Like, they sent this thing out
and that shit was immediate
that we knew about it.
Because you...
Right?
Because if I'm...
78 plus.
Remember,
because I want it out.
Yeah.
I publicly want it out
because I need...
I need everybody to see,
oh, it's 78. it could have been three. Yeah
300 calls
Because when you put it out somebody somebody's gonna see it
Don't get legs and send it to somebody
Nobody I'm do you said it I mean I'm gonna watch this like
Nobody I said you got to watch it.
Yeah, because the refs.
If I send it in to the league, you got to watch it.
The league's not going to watch all 78 plays.
Yeah, they are.
Yeah, they are.
They got somebody.
They got interns in the office.
Okay.
Somebody got a job.
Okay.
Just like a carry.
You know, I'm going to, gonna like probably like somebody like Brunson
You're gonna I'm gonna sit there and just be annoying and say Brunson by the rule book has carried
300 times and a half court and I'm just gonna be annoying to sit it in there and make them
Possibly call it a few times on them. Make them change it a little bit like when Allen Iverson's making a crossover
It's the teams that was complaining.
Like, that's illegal. That's this, this.
And you just send it.
Hopefully they change the rule.
At least call it once or twice during the game.
That's all I need, once or twice,
because you wasn't calling it at all before.
Yeah.
Man, that's all it is.
You're just being annoying.
That's what teams do.
Well, let's talk a little bit about Tyrese Halliburton.
Six points, eight assists in game one,
but in the last three games he's averaged 30.7 assists, five rebounds.
So how resilient has Tyrese Halliburton been
considering just how he's been viewed for the highs and lows
throughout the season?
We talked a lot about maybe him playing through a hamstring situation
to try and get that max extension bag,
but what has he shown you
in these past three games for the Pacers?
They didn't make the playoffs last year, right?
Indiana.
I'm, I'm, I think I know what that sounds like.
They did.
So he had those stats in game one.
So game one, six points, eight assists.
That was his first playoff game.
Mm-hmm.
Of the second round.
Huh? But still, in the game. Mm-hmm. Of the second round. Huh?
But still in the guard.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It...
Trust me.
He walked.
Walked out that motherfucking...
It was a different guard.
Let's just say this wasn't the same guard.
It was different.
We played here a lot the last two years.
Why does it look bigger?
Yeah.
Yeah, listen.
The walk up the ramp was different.
Like...
The fight was different.
The fight was different.
The fight was different. The fight was different. The fight was different. The fight was different. The fight was different. Why does it look bigger? Yeah.
Walk up the ramp was different.
Spike Lee looking a little bigger.
Yeah, it was different playing there for him, probably.
It's intimidating, especially with... He got it out of his system.
Spike Lee got a plus one.
That shit look like it was.
Is that Oprah?
They got Derrick Jr. and A-Rod over here.
Shit.
I thought he on Minnesota.
The hell he doing here?
It's just different, dog.
He probably was in the moment playing in the garden.
Bounce back.
Like, it's just still basketball.
In his mind, he just had to.
Still basketball. They guarding me the same way. They ain't doing nothing different. Yeah
And just look came out was
Loud I mean it's it's it's it's it's intense like when people say it
Yes, a lot different place to walk in the first round and fucking playing in New York Knicks
It's like, you know how you remember he said that shit, right?
A big difference.
He said, oh, this crowd ain't that bad.
You remember he said that?
Milwaukee, right?
He said that in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee, absolutely.
He said that about the guard.
They do not have those same sentiments.
They're not talking about your mama, your kids.
I'm pretty, hey.
Yeah, Milwaukee ain't doing that.
They ain't doing that nothing in Milwaukee.
They did, I think a cherry for brother
Yeah, a certain word that who did he said the Milwaukee fans Halliburton said they you know
That's a little bit. I mean your choice words even think about it beat up in did one person
Yeah, I know one person the crowd and other okay. Go to go to New York
It is gonna be more than one person
So they were spending on Trey young in the while he was trying to get to the tunnel. So it's different there
And then New York's big who?
Yeah, what it will fight. That's different in like Texas spit
Is spit varies from state to state the city the city. Maybe I'm not well versed in spit
I'm not well versed being spit on enough. I don't know but
By New Yorker is no different probably
Little anger
Like they saved that one for a little bit.
They've been saving that for the first quarter.
Ew.
Adequate teeth brushing.
Oh, my God.
We're lacking that, but in all seriousness.
Ew.
That's nasty.
Yo, we would have still been in the garden, man.
Probably came back with a son.
Somebody would have spit on him.
Or boy.
We would have been still in the garden.
Probably boy. Boy? I don't even find out who did this. Probably. Probably came back with a son
Found out who did
Would find out who did it not a wise right then and there would have been still in the garden
Four years
We ain't going nowhere
Yeah, I had to tell me during the game was in the league. He told me he was gonna spit on me
Another player a player. I told him please do it
Could be ripping your tongue got your mouth?
We gotta hear would be hammer spit on you because he was in his feeling I was torching him and his teammates was
Messing with today was talking. They was gonna trade me for him. Oh, it was... Damn.
So it was personal.
So I... And then I was just throwing him.
He was on the free throw line. I looked dead.
Did you tell him right then and there
he was going to pull his tongue out?
On sight.
I know you did.
Listen, I told him, please do it.
Mm-hmm.
Me ripping your tongue out your mouth would be justified.
Ooh. That would hurt.
No, no, no. I didn't say that. Told him hurt. I know, I know.
Real time, dog.
That would hurt.
Food won't taste the same.
All my taste buds will come out again.
Ever again. You won't ever see it on the table.
You won't use that one again, I can tell you that.
That would be your last
time. I don't know if it was your
first, but it would be your last.
Your last. So going back to the it was your first, but got your last. But it would be your last.
So going back to the Garden for game five, do we expect the Knicks to right the ship?
Yeah.
Going back home, man.
It's going to be one of them series I think the way this is going, home team, go win.
Mm-hmm.
This feel like seven?
This feel like a seven.
Yeah, this definitely feels like a seven.
I think it depends on how...
Being that Jalen Brunson's not healthy.
I think it depends on how healthy Jalen Brunson, like how well he can play.
I mean, he got to have some bad, I mean, I know he the king, but the king got to have a couple bad games.
This is it.
That's all it is.
He just had a few bad games, and he going to bounce back.
But he's hurt.
That's what they say.
That's what they say.
He going to be fine tomorrow.
He will figure it out.
But like you say, yeah, a couple bad games,
but then rattled off those four straight 40-point games.
Now a couple more, you know, less than stellar performances.
Feels like he's due for another breakout.
But with the rest of this one.
So we asked the chat, are the Knicks too gassed to beat Indy?
Nearly 3,000 voters voters 58% said yes
Which is troubling because a lot of New Yorkers that watch this show
They're not doing shit around 2 30. I said 55% of
Who's gonna win a series 55 said
What what's what polls you be talking about?
No, I'm reading the ball and now's going to win. And now we said,
who wins the series,
55% say yes. You didn't let him
get to that one.
Oh, I didn't even know
that was a...
We try to keep our chat
very engaged in the show.
Okay.
A lot of polls.
Okay.
They get mad.
Just throw different
polls in there.
A lot of people in the chat
get mad when we put a poll up
and we don't read it
on the show and say,
what are we wasting
our time voting for?
So we're trying to give them
what they're looking for.
Yeah, I think if you do a poll poll you should definitely read it out every day
Yeah, sure like why I asked people you ain't tell us what the fucking results we petty
Our knowledge
Just trying to treat the algorithm know what they say yeah
Let's move back to the West. Mavs stole Game 2 in OKC thanks to big games from Luka and P.J. Washington.
And in Game 3, Washington came through with another dominant performance
to help the Mavs take a 2-1 lead in the series.
So Washington followed up his 29-point Game 2 performance
by leading the Mavs in scoring with 27 points and 6 rebounds.
He was 5 for 12 from 3.
Luka battled through more shooting struggles,
but finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists. He was 7 for 17 from the field, 1 for 12 from 3. Luka battled through more shooting struggles, but finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists.
He was 7 for 17 from the field, 1 for 4 from 3.
And Kyrie finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 7 dimes.
Came up big with 8 points in the fourth quarter.
He was 4 for 4 in the final period of the game.
But we're seeing some Luka, you know, getting
boof!
Doing his thing, but
it looks like the Mavs now have a
somewhat formidable big three with that
Luka, Kyrie, PJ, Washington
trio. That's an N-1?
Who didn't call that? Did not call it, and Luka
let the ref know about it. Yeah, that's
terrible, man. Wow. But Kyrie did
his thing in the fourth quarter.
Damn.
Damn.
That was tough.
Put Jalen Williams in the mixer.
And then back.
The Mavs up three.
Come here.
Me.
Wait.
Lefty.
So lefty.
Without touching it with the other hand.
I feel like all of those are fouls.
So on the Thunder side, SGA had 31 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 blocks,
but also had 5 turnovers.
It was 10 for 23 from the field.
And Chad Holmgren, 13 points, 4 big blocks.
Like, the 5 turnovers for a guy who's getting everybody involved is not a big deal.
Not a big deal.
No, like, it's...
I mean, he had 5 turnovers. Like, it's... He had five turnovers.
Like, the motherfucker got the ball in his hand 85% of the time.
Shit, he's trying to get...
People relying on him to get shots.
Like, people who get a lot of assists, too.
People who have the ball a lot, a lot of assists,
aggressive players, they turn the ball over.
Yeah.
Right?
Like, people don't realize...
Jokic turns the ball over three to four times
himself because there's just passes. He's
trying to make shit happen. He's got a couple
seven turnover, nine turnover game earlier
in the postseason. He's trying shit.
He's going to try some shit.
I played on a team with a guy
that led the league in turnovers.
Assist and turnovers.
Which, you know, would make so much.
He's trying shit.
A little bit more spin. this thing and turnovers. Which, you know, we'll make some. He's trying. Hummer's a striker. Yeah. I'm going to be like,
what?
Ah, a little bit more spin.
Next time.
There we go.
There we go.
Got it.
I'm going to keep this
two for one.
Absolutely.
So Mavs have won
two straight games,
like I said,
to take that 2-1 series lead.
After the game,
Kyrie reflected on
how his game has evolved
in recent years.
I've lost a few games in my career, man, and dealt with the pushback.
And I think the difference between me now and me a few years ago is just allowing those
external voices to infiltrate to what I believe the game is for me.
And I've been taught by some of the best of the best, so I need to trust that. You know, sometimes, you know, social networks can get in the fray of,
like, what you should be doing, and I think that's a dangerous place to be, so I like to be
surrounded with masters of the game, masters that are going to give me, you know, truth about the
basketball game and how I can continue to be better, and it's time to move forward.
So Kyrie's been balling in the second's like I know they hate talking to him. Mm-hmm. Just continue. I know they be just like damn it
And I like it you know to me
There's like one of those like you just be like he just outsmarted him in the conversation. they just be like, you motherfucker.
Should I do a passing notes? What y'all doing?
That's funny.
I'm going to get out your business.
But I go back to what you just said
when we were talking about should he
be on the Olympic team or not.
Like, Kyrie is Kyrie.
So just stuff like that and him being who he is,
to me, is why he would not be on the Olympic team.
So when you say you know they hate talking to him,
I just...
I love Kyrie.
I love Kyrie because he's real.
He is who he is.
It doesn't really matter what's going on.
But being who you are
will keep you from being on Olympic teams.
That's just my opinion.
Okay.
No, I have to put that out there.
They, uh...
Even with Luka struggling, like Luka's been struggling, right?
He had some shooting slumps throughout this postseason.
It's like everybody else that we didn't even pay attention to,
that we didn't really realize in the regular season
because it was dormant or that first series, right?
It's like they pop in now, right?
It's like everybody else is on the Mavs team.
The other, you know, teammates is really emerging
as great role players.
Like we're so focused on Luka and Kyrie
and then Tim Hardaway Jr.
Cause he came back this year.
He's back this year.
Right, so you got all that PJ Washington.
You got guys who stepping.
He's comfortable now.
Yeah, he's, so that's helping out a lot too.
So like even though Luka's playing bad,
everybody else is stepping up for yeah
But you can Luka can have those games like you still have Kyrie. Mm-hmm where he can carry quarters, right?
He carry halves he can last five minutes of the game. Luka can defer if he ain't got it going right
Leading up to it. Okay, he's seven for 17. I don't know how many shots it took him in the last five minutes
But you can defer to Kai
Right. Yeah, so you don't have to force it like before you probably would have forced it Mm-hmm at 7 for 17 if you ain't got it going it could have been
Should not 30. Mm-hmm. If you didn't have Kyrie there. Yeah for sure to show to some of that load
but not a day But no, they're playing well.
They're playing well and to your point Gil, yeah, the role players are showing up in a
way that is needed right now.
Show up, do your job, and then getting Tim Hardaway back was huge.
Somebody that can make shots.
Somebody who's like...
We always look at the final production on a stat.
And the stat doesn't show you the game and how it's played.
Absolutely.
And you mentioned it that, you know, Kyrie can...
He's playing bad, Luka's playing bad.
Kyrie's carrying it through three quarters.
And then all you need is Luka to be great now.
So yeah, the first three quarters, he played like dog shit.
And then, boom, four for four when we need him.
And that's the benefit of having another player with you.
Yeah, and we've seen that from Kyrie throughout the postseason.
I don't want to say chilling in the first half, but once it's...
It's vice versa, though.
It's always been that, though. It's always been that,
though. It's always been that. Even when Bron was playing well, Kyle was still the one
to make big shots. Put the ball
in his hand when we needed a play to be made.
He's always been that.
He's always been reliable in his
skill set and being able to do his job
and should be counted on
when big moments need to be had.
He's never shied away from it, and this is no different.
And I think he has something to prove this year, being comfortable being there for him
all year and having this playoff run.
I think he has something to prove, man.
So, yeah, Luka can, like I said, have subpar games.
And Kyle, like, I got this.
I think you had some Mavs fans in their feelings earlier in the season. I'm
Big Kyrie fan, but now it's paying off dividends
So that was my thing. They act like I said Luka was trash
and he shouldn't be in the league.
No.
I just stated I'm a Kyrie fan
and I'm a Hooper and Kyrie's skill.
I think Kyrie is a better basketball player.
That's taking nothing away from Luka.
At all.
But people are like,
what you know about the game?
You played it.
Just a little bit.
That's my favorite, though.
Just a little bit.
When somebody who's never hooped at a high level is like, oh, they never won that game.
You ain't got no MVPs in it.
It's like, but.
Now, you know the funny thing.
All these field wounds out here.
It's like, wait a minute.
And the best thing that's going right now is the, you know, because Jokic won the MVP.
Right?
So, you know, in the last 40 years, there's only
really like five. So it's like, how can
you say he's the weakest? And then I put the
list up. And then they'd
be like, well, his career
ain't over yet. All of them.
Like, there's not one
who tried to defend it after the list
comes up. Because it's Magic,
Bird, Michael Jordan,
LeBron. I said okay now your
kids is there where do you rank him right is he's the weakest out of the
group is he number five Wow and everybody like yeah but he ain't
finished yet so uh we'll discuss this when his career is over well it's the
critter when his career is over with I'll change it'll change it because if
you put him in front of bird I'd like the last 30 years right?
Yeah, I'm not a word my shit, right?
But they hear weak isn't right away, it's like we're talking about weakest and MVP
These are all high level focus on the word because they focus on words
Maybe well, that's a word if I said he's fifth out of five, like, oh, that ain't shit.
If I say he's the weakest or the worst,
everybody's like, oh, shit.
He said he's the worst.
He's the worst?
What did you ever do?
What did you ever do with your career?
Now it's that.
Yes.
Yeah.
If you really slow down and listen
and pay attention to the facts of it.
No, just key words, man.
That's what most people just say.
But like I said, now that tone is starting to change, but Kyrie's been balling in the second
half, particularly fourth quarter this postseason. He's averaging eight points while shooting
53% from the field and 53% from three in those fourth quarters. So how important has Kyrie's
veteran leadership been for the Mavs late in games this series?
You said veteran? Just, I mean...
Seasoned. I done been through these fellas. I got one of these.
He was doing that when he was younger. That's what he does, man.
That's his skill. His skill is...
He's never been afraid of the moment.
To your point, even when he was playing with LeBron, it was like,
give me the rock. I got it. And for me, I think he brings,
like he brings a sense of calm for the team,
whoever it is.
If it's Luka and Kyrie,
it's just like, I got it.
Never afraid of the moment.
I like the design on that jersey too.
I just now seeing the little...
Oh, the little, this part.
Oh, this right here?
Yeah, that shit dope.
Skills and readiness ladies.
Yeah, we live.
Yeah, we are.
We kind of go through everything.
No edits.
Yeah, I'm looking at that shit.
That shit dope.
We didn't even know they had that up in there.
Okay, we thought they was stupid.
I thought they was stupid.
I thought they was stupid.
I thought they was stupid.
I thought they was stupid. I thought they was stupid. I thought they was stupid. I thought they was stupid. I thought they was stupid. We ain't even know they had that up in there. Okay
You gotta stop the w trolling, right we're gonna be a Vegas Summer League the Aces are gonna run up on you. Yeah, I'm just
The ones who want to be cheap with the players I'm over here just calling it out
Y'all are white tonight tonight. Oh, my bad. Don't do that. Don't do that.
The undershirt don't match.
You laughing?
Got the wrong shorts.
They be treating... Come on, don't act like
they gonna be treating y'all that way.
Don't act like they be
treating... Y'all was way worse
back then.
Y'all show up, got the same
number. Somebody can play today. It was way worse back then. Y'all sure got the same number on.
Somebody couldn't play today.
It was really bad back then.
You got to just tape it.
That's what I'm saying.
If we laughing now, imagine when you got in.
It was really bad then.
I thought you was 21.
I thought you was 22.
They didn't put a piece of tape on you.
You're 21.
They got it on the back, not on the front.
The referee confused and shit.
Or the number was coming off.
I was like, damn.
We ain't ironing that back.
Got to put some duct tape.
Shut up, Gil.
What do you think about the news that the WNBA will be chartering flights?
Oh, that's a whole different topic.
I think it's great.
Are we going there now? We can. This is Gil's arena. We do whatever we want. Here's what's great. Are we going there now?
We can.
This is Gil's Arena.
We do whatever we want.
Here's what's interesting.
And I just found this out on my way here this morning.
So apparently, not every team is chartering right now.
I can think of one team that, you know.
I can think of two.
Two teams.
Maybe three.
Well, for home opener,
not even home opener,
season opener tomorrow,
what I read was Indiana.
They have their chartered fight
to Connecticut.
And for some reason, Minnesota,
they have a charter to Seattle
but every other team that's playing tomorrow doesn't have a charter here's
I'm gonna let you go because here's my issue with it of course Indiana's gonna
have a charter like everybody knows that here's my issue with the whole charter
thing because even back in the day, there were owners who said, like Les Alexander, who owned our team, was like, I have a private plane.
I want my team to fly.
And the league said, if every team can't fly charter, no team can fly charter.
Because y'all had a fair advantage.
That's what they say.
But my point being, so if that's the case case Indiana nor Minnesota should be flying charter. Yeah tomorrow
Let's everybody tell everybody is able to do it which well
Well, okay, if we if we think about it in the NBA
Detroit had their charter plane first
I don't know that so when they won their first championship, they were the only team flying
charter. A charter ain't got shit to do with that.
Shit. Bullshit. If we can play
the... No, you got to remember, back then
if we can... They'll play today
and then Detroit gets
out tonight and play.
The other teams are staying until the
morning. So they're flying... Think about it
back to back. I understand because
that's what we did. So think about a team to back i understand because y'all did so think
about a team but that is an advantage if you're landing going to the hotel and then playing in
a game and we just been sitting there oh they just got here they don't shoot around or nothing
so to my point if there's an advantage indiana nor minnesota should be chartering tomorrow
some you gotta think you gotta know what I'm saying, it has to,
someone has to,
someone has to walk first.
So if you don't allow anybody,
it should have been,
it should have been
walked back then.
And I hear you
because I say it all the time,
like somebody had to be first,
right?
But my point being is
you can't just change
the rules today
because of a certain player.
Yeah, because they don't want her going through the airport.
And you know what?
When Michael Jordan was going through the airport, they had to change the shit itself.
And I totally get that.
Like, I get it.
And I'm not mad at it.
But last year, Brittany Griner had to do it.
Which one?
She had to go through the airport.
Cool.
She can defend herself.
Stop.
Who's running up on her just up just be honest
Don't laugh because you don't come after you
Let me just I'm not doing that, dude. That's your point. All right. So fuck that. That's your point. All right, make a point. All right, maintain your composure.
Let me just stop.
Okay, make your point.
I'm going to let him laugh, and I ain't talking no more.
Okay.
But my point being, when all this stuff happened with Britney in Russia, right, she had death threats.
She had all of that stuff coming at her. Yeah.
But yet, she was still flying commercial going through the airport.
It wasn't that big a deal.
No. So now, because someone, fans are in the airport filming Indiana walking through the
airport, it's like, oh no, we can't have that, so we need a charter.
Listen, every single team should have a charter.
But I'm going back to what rules the league set.
The league fined New York Liberty, they fined them last year because he put his team on a private plane.
And you fined him and said, you can't
fly your team on a charter
because the rest of the teams can't fly charter.
So make that
shit make sense, because it doesn't.
I think the
W, the
organization itself
is not realizing that they're
handicapping progression, right?
You're handy.
You're this, the league's supposed to have been way further than what it is.
If you allow the teams, the owners who could afford planes, get the advantage.
I need you to have an advantage.
So God damn it.
I can complain about it so I can get it right.
So if these teams have their own private plane
and then they're coming whooping our ass,
now Chicago, now I want a private plane.
Now the other ones want one.
And that's what happened with Detroit.
Detroit has their own plane.
They go back to back while everybody else in the airport
and everybody's like, oh, fuck that.
This is an advantage.
We got to buy planes now.
Now they bought the planes.
So you need someone to go out, do it,
for everyone else to sit back and say, oh all we got to spend our money a little bit
because if you don't everybody uh-huh question
How many NBA teams play um
During the WNBA season none
How many what teams oh you said NBA team how many NBA teams? Whatever, you said NBA team. I mean an NBA team
Whatever I'm just saying whatever's left
There's a surplus or playing surely they available, hmm
The plane ain't in use and then they own them and the owners who own the W, own them. Own them. The same owners.
Ain't it the same?
Some.
Some.
Make it make sense, man.
Some.
But not all of them.
But still, they still can.
The plane's sitting there.
No.
Guess what?
I've said this for the past 10 years.
It doesn't make sense.
I'm not a mathematician or...
How many WNBA teams is it?
How many?
12.
It ain't 30.
No. It ain't 30. No. It's 12? It ain't 30. No.
It ain't 30.
No.
But how many NBA owners
have teams?
12?
It really isn't a lot.
12?
No.
No, but it's different.
Like, the teams that own
the NBA teams
don't own the WNBA teams.
Like, I know Ted Leone.
So, like, who does not?
Like, uh... There's not 12? LA. I got no tailie on this so like um who does not like
There's not 12 la no the sparks should be like
Same owner like probably like only like four or five. Okay that have the same owner probably that's
But that's what I'm saying, but go with that but think think about it. Still got enough planes. If, let's say...
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
And even the ones that don't,
like Mark Davis with the Aces.
Baller.
Baller with a ball.
He's like,
I want to fly my team to Toronto.
So let him.
Let him.
But the league said no.
See, but that's what I'm saying.
Let him.
The owner of the Liberty
last year said,
I want to fly my team to Toronto.
I thought they would have one.
The league said no.
You ain't got no... I think it's Josiah, right? Yeah. Dola doesn't own the Liberty. Liberty last year said I want to fly my team don't know about the
Bad a oh, yeah
But that was it because oh shit, right I forgot they got they got money in but that's I'm saying
But I don't the NBA you can't tell those owners that cake can't spend their money because you work for me, motherfucker.
Like, the WNBA, you work for me. How you gonna tell me that I can't spend my own...
Like, I want... I do not
want my girls walking through the...
They champions, back-to-back champions as an
MVP. You're not gonna tell me how to fly my...
Not only are you telling me I can't,
you fined me $500,000
for flying my team
charter. And any... Ooh, shit. Meanwhile, you could just get more charters with that fine money. What I'm saying is, it forced... You find me five hundred thousand dollars for flying my team charter and any bullshit
Meanwhile, you could just get more charters with that fine money. I'm not what I'm saying is it forces this person
Once once you're flying private and you're sitting here now you motherfucker 16 and no I'm sitting back here like yeah
I need to I need to money my own plane makes me buy one then it makes him buy one there
Well, it's a copycat league. So the more you keep saying you can't do it. You can't do it. You can't do it
Where's the progression of the league at that's I said this the it's the the top they're stuck somewhere
They're stuck me. There's just some people that stuck in a time zone that they can't get out. It will be there forever
Yeah, like yeah, yeah, you will be different like mm-hmm. When was the first who was the first team that tried to fly?
Like recently well just before well, I know the Liberty did Mm-hmm. Who was the first team that tried to fly? Like, recently?
Well, just before.
Well, I know the Liberty did.
With us?
Houston, you said Houston?
Well, Les Alexander was like, I'll fly y'all charter.
But it was like, oh, no, because no other owner had a charter or offered to do it.
Well, tell them to get their bread up.
Think about it.
If it happened back then, think about the progression now.
You know what I mean? No doubt.
No doubt at all.
To me, we shouldn't even be having this
conversation. You're
true. So is it first class seats
at least? Oh, no. No.
Hell no.
No, man.
It's middle
seats, not even aisle or window.
Sometimes it's middle. I'm just saying. I ain't going. That's just me, though. No, it's middle seats not even aisle or window. It's sometimes
Hmm. I'm just saying I ain't going I'm just that's just me though. No, it's true
Be greyhound
No, I'm just saying I'm just thinking like
I'm thinking like when they when the Commissioner made the big announcement like a couple weeks ago and said every team will fly charter
This year like players everybody was like yay
Well, she said for the 2425 season game. Of course she didn't so you get my charter flight. Did you fly charter? Right. You flew charter. Everybody did. How many games your ass going to fly charter?
You get on the team, there's three of y'all.
There's three teams on one plane.
No one had an answer as to when it started.
So just this morning, yesterday, whenever, she said,
Indiana's going to fly charter tomorrow and Minnesota will.
But the rest of the teams that play tomorrow you is still commercial
I'll be a
No doubt like I've been feeling like dude, don't tell me how to don't tell me how to spend my money
Right. This is not a this
Running the business is not fucking fair. Why are you trying to make it fair?
I agree with that 100%.
Because I'm pretty sure your salary is not the same as everybody else's salary.
The commissioner, your salary is not the same as everybody else's.
Right?
Agreed.
Mine isn't either.
So don't tell me how to spend it.
Well, because here's my question.
I want to pay Asia a million dollars.
God damn it, don't tell me I can't.
Let me do it.
Oh, everybody else is going to pay Asia a million dollars. God damn it. Don't tell me I can't. Let me do it. Oh, everybody else is going to pay.
Great.
Motherfucker, that means you're going to keep a job.
That means your salary gets to go up because the league is moving forward.
Don't tell me how to spend my money.
And so if Mark Davis says I'm flying my team charter, so let him.
Because you know why?
You know why.
Right?
Aces, they start flying private.
G14, classified.
Your charter is better than mine.
All the girls is over there looking like,
yeah, when I'm a free agent,
I know where I'm going.
It's the way the WNBA contract is set up.
I know where I'm going.
They already got that, though.
It's the WNBA.
I would do it in a heartbeat. It's the WNBA contract is set up the way they set up. I know what I'm going. Sure. They already got that, though. Since the WNBA. I would do it in a heartbeat.
Since the WNBA contract is set up the way they set up.
What?
He can afford everybody.
But they already got that.
Practice facility, I'm just saying.
He's already raised the bar.
He's treating them as a professional team.
Yep.
He has a professional.
And he should be.
He has professional athletes.
Mm-hmm.
So he's treating them as such.
Which. He has professional athletes. So he's treating them as such. He has professional athletes.
He has former athletes running his organization that all played in the WNBA.
Mark Davis is, to me, he has set the tone as to what any WBA organization should look like.
And they're still handicapping him.
I'm pretty sure he's pushing that thing to the limits.
For sure he is.
He's doing...
I bet them girls don't want that.
What I'm saying is...
He takes care of them.
Absolutely nothing.
What I'm saying is how does it effectively...
Housing free.
How does it effectively negatively?
If you allow the owners to do what they want to do. How does it affect? What is it? What are you afraid of?
If he was it if he like what are you afraid of what they're afraid of is that well you're afraid of what a duh
Rope the roll right something something that's that's just happening, oh, they're taking all the star players.
Well, I'm pretty sure there's other people with money
that's going to be like, well, you think you can just do this?
You think you're just going to run over me?
Let me turn it up, too.
It's competitive.
Business people are competitive.
Athletes are competitive.
So you try to turn it up, New York is going to try to turn it up, too.
Like, we got money over here, too.
Seattle, like, shit.
Where should we?
And that's what happens.
You're basically protecting the broke owners.
You can't.
You can't broke.
But that's what's going on now.
Everybody can't have it, so they got to travel.
Well, guess what?
Sell your team, then.
Yeah.
And that's it.
Sell your team.
Sell your team to somebody else that can get it done.
You should be able to have a team.
And that's what ends up happening. If someone who has money. Sell your team to somebody who else can get it done. You should be able to have a team.
And that's what ends up happening. If I got $100, you got a dollar.
Motherfucker, we not shopping from your standpoint.
Oh, you can only spend 25 cents? No, that's not how it works, bro.
Don't you get off the value of the dollar.
Yeah, I'm not. I'm going to be at Nobu's.
Ketchup.
Nobu's.
And then...
Ketchup.
What you say? All of them.
No booze.
Like they don't own it.
Plora, I'm going both.
You understand the thing, right?
Yes.
So even if you just say, okay, y'all, you put in a contract that we don't want y'all
to own a team plane.
Okay, cool.
Right?
Just to make it fair, you don't have to, you can't own one.
But to say that you can't still fly your girls commercial.
I mean private.
I mean charter, right?
Because there's enough planes.
Like we know, you can rent them out.
There's shit you can do.
Because it ain't like y'all got a whole lot of games each season.
No, there's not that many games.
I just don't understand.
It's the thought of this.
Why are you telling me what you you this is how does this is my team right so I have I'm thinking for this
organization right private plane chefs practice facility whatever right even in
the offseason if I want to pay my girls enough money so they don't go overseas
and I don't worry about them getting hurt. I should be able to do that.
I got to factor in all of this. You're telling
me that we're going to be all
handicap on pay. Now I have to worry
about some of my star players
going to another country, playing and possibly
getting hurt to fuck up my season.
So no.
If it's $85,000, I'm sorry. That's not
how this works. I make a little bit more
than that where I can afford more.
So all of that, right, to my point when I said,
so help me understand, based off of what the league has said,
so every team doesn't have a charter right now.
But you're okay with Indiana and Minnesota flying charter
tomorrow.
Yeah, and if I'm aces,
I'm going to complain.
Every team should.
And say, hey, well, I...
But every team should.
Well, we got one here
We got one here.
We got one here right here
ready to go.
We got one fueled up
ready to go.
Shit.
If I was Mark Davis,
I'd do it anyway.
I'd do it anyway.
But you probably will.
If I was him,
I'd do it anyway.
Especially two teams
doing it already.
Can't find me. I'd do it anyway. Do it anyway, yeah. You're right, I'd do it. I would do it anyway. Which he probably will. If I was him, I'd do it anyway. Especially two teams doing it already. You told me. Can't find me.
I'd do it anyway.
Do it anyway.
Yeah, you're right.
I'd do it.
I would do it.
And once you do it, then from there, because you're already.
What are you going to do at this point?
Nothing.
So you're going to come and tell me.
You're going to try to find me because I flew my team.
No, keep finding me.
Well, you can't.
You can't do that now.
You can't keep finding them.
Then they look bad on the league.
Yeah.
You can't.
It already looks bad. Because all you got to come out
and say what you're saying and what you're saying right.
This is me taking care of my players.
This is me doing for my players. This is
about my players' health and safety.
This is about...
So now you start to look like
shit as a league
if you keep finding them because they're
putting their team and their well-being and everything
how a professional team should be treated, they're putting this here.
Now, you look like shit as a league if you try to fight that.
It's like, whoever the commission is, do they not talk to the NBA?
Do they not follow the mold?
Like, we were doing the same thing, right?
And then there's some owners that come in that changes the locker room
They do things to help their program
Everybody else are seeing it. Yes, and then they want to do a copycat. Yes, everything is copycat
I I don't want you to have the best franchise. So I'm gonna set my shit up to
new arenas new
practice facility last year. So then
Phoenix the mercury saw that and they were like, oh we got to get on board Seattle. They just built this amazing
practice facility
So it's the same thing with charter flight. This owner says I am flying my team
charter
You should be like, all right, go ahead. And I get that, all the advantage and all of that shit, but that's not my fault.
It's not my problem.
But that's the thing.
You have to, everyone has an advantage.
I have to give you an advantage for everybody to step it up.
Right?
That's just life.
It's a competitive league.
This is business.
You're trying to play fair.
Yeah, and Kenyon, to your point, if you don't have a charter or can't afford it then you shouldn't be
able to own a team if you can't hang you got to get out the good that's what's
going to happen you're not gonna have a team that wants to play for you anyway
because shit everybody else over there balling yeah yeah I remember they what's
the name told me a story it mr. a. Poland, may he rest in peace. He said when he was owning the team, you know, this early years, he had Wes Unseld.
Right.
He said Wes Unseld.
He said back then everybody was roommates.
He said everybody was roommates.
So grown men roomating.
He said so.
We were roommates.
He said his.
We have roommates.
He said so Wes Unseld was my rookie.
He said so he had a veteran.
If the tie was on the door, my wife is here.
So he said, you know, so there was road trips where I have the rookie of the year and the MVP sleeping in the hallway.
Wow.
Because the player's right.
So the vet's in there.
So when A. Poland found out, he said,
I'm sorry, this will never happen again.
You're going to get to sweep the rest of your career,
and everybody get their own room.
So they were the first team.
Everybody had their own room.
And then once the league got out,
then everybody wants their own room.
And I mean, they're unique.
But you should.
You're talking about. Because you go to a different team, and you're like, y'all got roommates? Roommates? Right? Y'all got roommates? And then once the league got out then everybody wants their own room and then and I mean the unique
Different team
Talking about grown-ass men and women like we have roommates like I travel with my son
Mm-hmm. So when I had my son, I had a roommate so it's my roommate me my son my n travels. So if I didn't get a separate room,
it's going to be a big old party.
An old slumber party in there.
Yeah, like, to me, that's the type of stuff
that is a no-brainer.
So I had to pay the difference for my room
so I could have my own room.
Like, it just...
Yeah.
Sorry, I'm sorry.
That part has changed. They do have their own room. Okay, that's Yeah. Bro. Sorry. That part has changed.
They do have their own...
Okay.
That's good.
It's important.
Putting grown people in...
The tie on the door?
Come on, dawg.
But I mean, that's just...
The tie on the door...
That was real.
I mean, that's what...
It was a sock in college, but, you know, we didn't have a friend like that.
But we're in 2024.
Most of those owners are billionaires.
Heck, yeah.
Let the billionaires push out the millionaires.
It happened in the NBA.
If you ain't making motherfucking 1.5 billion, get the fuck on out of here.
Sell it to somebody else who wants it.
That's why all those teams are being sold because the Mark Cubans came in and the Dan
Gilberts came in and they're like, that tech money was coming in.
These old owners who, you know.
And real estate money wasn't getting no more.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Back then, you remember, but, you know, they bought the team for $1, $2, $5 million, you know, selling it for $350.
They made money.
But all the tele-owners is coming in, all this Microsoft money.
Yeah, changed the game up.
Steve Ballmer came in.
That's it, Steve Ballmer.
Get your money right if you're messing with me.
But let's keep this thing moving.
Back to NBA playoff talk.
So after getting embarrassed at home in a 24-point loss in game two,
questions arose about who was really the man on the Celtics squad.
Jason Tatum answered them by delivering his best game in the playoff so far
to help the Celtics take back home court advantage.
So Celtics took a nine-point lead in the break,
opened the third quarter on a 14-0 run
to extend the lead to 23.
Cavs went on a run to get it back within nine in the fourth,
but the Celtics tightened up,
took back control of the game.
Tatum led the Celtics with 33 points,
13 rebounds, and six assists.
He was 11 for 25 from the field,
but it was nine for nine from the line.
Jalen Brown bounced back
after a poor shooting performance in game two,
finishing with 28 points and nine rebounds.
He was 13 for 17 from the field.
Donovan Mitchell.
Ooh.
Yeah.
You see, Tana.
Ooh.
Uh-oh.
Wait.
Okay, I thought I was going to go with the left, but I should have known better.
Donovan Mitchell finished with 33 points and six rebounds, going 7 for 12 from three.
Evan Mobley had 17 and eight.
Darius Garland had 15.6 assists.
He was 6-15 from the field.
But let's go back to Tatum after the game.
Tatum talked about the media scrutiny he's gotten so far this postseason
despite the Celtics' team's success.
I wouldn't say I take it as disrespect, right?
Like I said, I don't always agree with what they say.
Maybe I feel like they're not watching everything else that I'm doing.
But that's not my job to focus on that. Right.
Or, you know, give it, you know, any attention.
My job is to be the best player that I can be for our team on any given night.
Yeah, I would love to make every shot I take.
And I know I can shoot better, and I will.
But at this time of the season,
as long as we win and we're trending in the right direction,
I know me scoring will come.
I've done that plenty and plenty of times.
So, you know, I just try to impact the game in other ways
and just dominate, you know, dominate the game
and not be defined as just a score.
Before you say something, is it me or he look like Ghost?
From Power, right?
He's starting to look like Ghost, right? He's starting to look like Ghost, right?
He started
Right, just there's some acting in this future. He can be you know next upcoming Power, you know spin-off
It could be Ghost Son, Rose Up, or Ghost...
To be a Hooper?
Brother
Well speaking of, I just saw the BMF new one
Fucking Shador Sanders.
Oh, he was in it?
He played his daddy.
Woo!
He's playing Deion.
He's playing Deion.
Oh, it was Shiloh.
It was the other.
Shiloh?
It was Shador, right?
Hold on, let me see.
Shiloh?
Shiloh.
Shiloh, Shador, one of them niggas.
Mm-hmm.
They all looking like, god damn, you're like, shit.
Yeah, that's, the NIL money is good right now.
Okay, well, yeah.
But what did y'all think about what Tatum had to say just about not taking the disrespect?
You know what I said the other day?
Yeah, because I did ask you about that.
He's got to be playing his best as long as they're winning and they get to the championship and pretty shit.
But that was before they got smacked by the Cavs in that game,
but they've been struggling game twos all postseason. Yeah, still, but still, it's just what it is.
I'm not worried about Jason Tatum.
Like I said, he was averaging a double-double without...
It was after game two.
Yeah.
You said it after game two.
No, it was before the loss.
I think that game two was on Thursday, if I'm not mistaken. Either way. No, you said it after game two. No, it was before the loss. I think that game two was on Thursday, if I'm not mistaken.
Either way.
No, you said it was game two, sir.
Either way.
Because if they played today, that means it was Wednesday, Saturday.
Hold on.
Yeah, I'm not worried about Jason.
Yeah, you know I get these days confused.
No, they played Thursday after.
Oh, after?
Yeah, so it was after game one.
Yeah, I'm not worried about Jason.
He's been here, been there, been there in big situations, man.
If you listen to him, he's more focused in on the winning aspect of it now.
And if it's ugly, it's ugly.
It's still a win.
It's still a win. So I think that's ugly, it's ugly. It's still a win. It's still a win.
So I think that that's growth, right?
Before, I have to score, I have to score, I have to score in order to give us a chance.
Like, no, okay, I can rebound the ball more.
I can average six, seven assists.
I can average 23, 24 and do these other things, and we put us in a position to win.
And it's helping give guys like Derrick White confidence and Pritch other things, and we put us in a position to win, and it's helping give guys like Derek White confidence
and Pritchard confidence, like guys' confidence that they needed
going into big games and big situations.
So if he can defer a little bit, whether it's intentionally
or him not making shots, it is what it is at this point
because ultimately, like in his words, all that matters is the win.
That's all that matters is getting a W.
So damn high it look and damn the critics.
It can be hate.
It can be whatever.
However they want to classify it, it is what it is.
But win's the only thing that is on Jason Tatum's radar right now.
Because the media is going to contradict they're going to contradict themselves anyway.
They're going to hate no matter what.
You know, you got them talking about a bunch of players, like, oh, they need to pass
the ball, get the rest of the team involved, because they're losing.
He's winning, and it's like, oh, he ain't doing enough.
Pick one, goddammit.
Do you want him to average 30 and a win? Like, you know, it's the game itself.
Whatever the game brings you, what it shows you, you take.
Right?
You know, some of these guys, they need their teammates a little bit more in these series.
Right?
Versus averaging 40 and stuff like that.
So that's why I say you're penalizing the dude for being successful, but then you preach success.
Only matters.
It's a fucking lie.
Stop lying, right?
Is it the individual and fuck my team, right?
Or is it, you know,
share the shit with my team and we win as a group, right?
Because, you know, we're watching you in real time pick and choose
is not a consistent thing you're picking and choosing on how you want to reward
people and it's confusing as fuck at this point yeah the playoff runs and the
finals run before I let you go sure the playoff runs and final runs that he has
before I don't know the exact numbers but I'm pretty sure he averaged more
points than he's averaging right
now. Yeah, for sure.
And it didn't work out, right?
So let me try something different. Different series.
But different series, but I'm saying overall,
his overall playoff numbers
probably greater
than these first
two rounds so far, right? Yeah.
But they're winning, right?
So he's like, well, maybe he's thinking,
well, let me do something different
because it didn't,
me scoring that way,
me averaging 28.
When I need to score 28,
like 30, I can do it,
but let me incorporate
other ways to help win,
to impact winning,
while my shot is not going.
So when my shots start going,
now I got all these other things that I didn't add in
to incorporate helping us win.
Averaging the double figures in rebounds.
Averaging seven assists.
Stuff like that where, okay, now my shot going,
now I'm efficient from the field.
Now I'm 12 for efficient from the field now now my I'm
12 for 17 from the field. I still got 13 rebounds and I got seven assists eight assists now and that's so
it's it's a give and take in this but I I
Just keep going back to they winning. Yeah, they haven't faced a lot of adversity in this post
You know, They haven't faced a lot of adversity in this postseason. No they haven't. The
six wins in the postseason, is this the largest amount by any playoff team?
Yes.
Through six games, through the first six games?
Through the first six wins.
The first six wins?
Yeah, there's six wins.
I'm pretty sure, unless it's the Bulls, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Bulls because
they wasn't even scoring that much to be blowing teams out by fucking 20-something.
So I'm pretty sure they're going to be one or two in victory margin in the playoffs.
Who?
Take me to that guy.
Boston.
Boston.
Oh. So when you're saying he's not playing well like it's
so stop looking at the individual look at the whole totality of it and it
motherfuckers is winning about 20 plus a game and not even saying a playing well
thing but like you're just saying the expectation that you're gonna go out and
average 30 every you know every series and do what you got to do but we're
winning so at the end of the day I'm impacting, I'm getting these guys around me ready for now
when we really got to face some adversity as the playoffs go on.
Not to say the Cavs.
They lost by what?
The Cavs won by what?
I mean, lost by 13?
Yeah.
That was the closest margin so far in one of their wins.
In their wins, yeah.
Who did they play the first round?
Nobody.
That's so out.
Jimmy was the other one.
Because I'm asking a question, right?
Yeah, the YMCA.
Miami.
Miami and Cleveland.
So is it that they're playing that well offensively
or their competition is not that good?
Both.
Both?
But that's what I said.
It was more about Jason Tatum not playing very well.
And I'm like.
They had the most wins in the league for a reason.
True that.
Right?
Like, they led the, like, so winning is a learned behavior.
We all know this.
For sure.
So they've learned how to win during the regular season.
Good, bad, big game, close game, whatever.
And they're playing against these same teams.
Right?
And he's a conference stealer.
They ain't changed conferences.
Fuck.
So, yeah, no, they're in a good position, man.
He's been tested.
Yeah, they've been tested. He's been tested. Yeah, they been tested.
He's been, he's fine.
They got the little hiccup out the way game too.
Like, you need a reminder when you're being dominant and that good.
You need a reminder sometimes.
And they got hit across the chin, and they got up off the canvas.
And they going 4-1 these boys.
And...
Yeah.
It's crazy.
We all see that.
And then Jay Tatum going to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Again.
Again.
And he can go in there and average 32 in this series,
and nobody have nothing to say.
Yeah.
Or he can go in there and do the same average double-double
and do what he's doing right now.
They make it to the finals.
So either way it goes.
All that matters is the winnings.
If he's averaging 40 and they're taking Ls, then...
Then they're going to have something to say.
Yeah, for sure.
Right?
Oh, he didn't get his teammates involved.
He's selfish.
That's the great thing about the media.
We are kind of in that.
Jason Tatum's not clutch.
I can make a narrative for anything.
Told you. Told you he wasn't clutch.
That is true.
Shots away from the moment.
I heard that shit this weekend.
Shots away from the moment.
I don't want to be giving dudes,
saying people names and all that on there,
but dude was like,
speaking about Jason Tatum
and in reference to,
like in big moments,
some guys want it, and then he said some guys say they want it,
but they don't want it.
Like, how you know, like, who are you to say this?
You ain't never played.
Right?
Have you ever been in this moment to say that you shied away from,
oh, you want it this big time, this moment? Have you ever been in this moment to say that you shied away from or you wanted this big time this moment? Have you ever been there to question this man and like what he built on internally?
And that's like the media in this regard do
Like talk the game mm-hmm, but stop questioning in dudes
If you ain't if you ain't been there
and been played at the highest level
and successful at the highest level
and played in games, meaningful games,
how can you question what somebody is internally
if you ain't never did it?
Yeah.
If you ain't never had that emotion
of being in that moment,
how can you question?
You can't.
Yeah.
But they try. Yeah, and they do it all the time. All the time. You can't. Yeah. But they try.
And they do it all the time.
All the time.
All the time.
Yeah.
It's big business.
It definitely is big business.
Rich too.
Rich too.
Questioning people's character and all that is definitely big business for people.
Right?
But you praise him with the same breath,
but then you question him when,
if there's a game six or a game seven,
then like, no, you think in a game six or a game seven,
I take me fancy.
So you mean to tell me you,
game six against the San Antonio Spurs, 2004 finals, I wanted to go fucking three for 23?
Right.
Right?
No, you know what today, y'all?
Shit, I ain't going to try to make none of them.
I'm just going to be out there just chucking.
I'm just going to be out there, bitch, just running up and down the floor, y'all.
I'm going to make the first couple. Yeah. And then I'm going to sprinkle one throughout. Right, yeah, I'm gonna take about, yeah, I'm gonna make the first couple.
Yeah.
And then I'm gonna sprinkle one throughout the game, y'all,
then we gonna lose in the finals.
Like, this is my plan.
Like, no.
Yeah.
Had a bad day.
Keenan clutch.
Yeah.
Huh?
Like, no, it ain't bad day at the office.
It just so happened it happened today.
Sometimes you just have a bad game.
And that's something...
They don't...
It happens.
What's so funny is it's...
And that's what I be trying to tell kids, right?
Stop listening, right?
If there's 82 games, right?
When you're talking about playing excellent, right, maybe 10 and 15, you're going to be on fucking fire.
You can't miss shit.
There's going to be 15 games where you can't make shit.
Yeah.
Right?
Don't worry about those games.
Right?
Those 30 games, get them the fuck out of here.
Right.
Them great ones, them bad ones.
Move them the fuck out of there. Then. Them great ones, them bad ones. Move them the fuck out of there.
Then you got the 50-something that's left.
Right?
Some of them, 10 maybe, you might have a horrible first half, perfect second half.
Perfect first half, horrible second half.
Some of your great games, you might 10, 22, 25, but you had a lot of free throws, right?
It all balances itself out.
You want to be, your consistency in your training keeps you above.
But those 15 to 15, those are, that's just natural, right?
You know, when your favorite player, like when Giannis, right, there's a game where
he probably went one for 15 from the free throw line, and then in the final game he
hit 15 for 15, he didn't do nothing different.
That perfect one just hit at the right motherfucking time, that's it.
Right, so they pretend that we supposed to be perfect players.
That's not how it is. Like, this guy shoots
38-40 from the
three-point line, 72 from the three.
That's just his game.
That's just his game.
He probably shoots better further.
Yeah. Right? When we've seen Nick
Van Exel, right? The reason he
damn near shot at the high school three
because he was horrible up close.
On that line.
It was too close for him.
That happens.
Right?
It's part of the game.
You got to let it play out.
But if you've never been in that situation, you don't know it.
You don't know it.
That's why I've said this time and time again, like let's, like
I would love to have a
like a panel
of us
that's did it
and people that's never done it
but think they can.
And let's talk
specific topics
and I told, we'll fry y'all
man. Like y'all making making like somebody from these big-time
Companies making all this money
We're for layover I will put you on a grill and hey, but you know you know you know you know
How they serve how to survival is it's they're not it's not like they're talking basketball itself,
the nuances of it, right?
They're talking what ifs
for the most part
and the matchups.
Who's better?
So we can talk hypothetical.
Can he play in this era, right?
Can this guy play in this era?
What if this guy did this?
They do a whole bunch of that too because it's topical
and then because
There's no real outcome
Everybody gets to win and be smart. Yeah. Yeah, but this actually talk the game like we can do that
We can do exactly what Gil said we can I would love to sit we can talk hypotheticals and what?
All this shit all day
right
The one thing that you can come up with. Mm-hmm. I
Got a rebuttal for yep, and it's gonna be a factual rebuttal
Right, you can talk in hypotheticals in what ifs and scenario all this shit you want
Mm-hmm, and I'm gonna come with a real situation
exact play exact game exact player exact time
So it defuse anything that this was anything that you can say in this moment
And that's like like so stop questioning Jason Tatum's intent or his character or whether he wants to shoot bad
or whether an athlete wants to play bad in this moment
or a quarterback wants to go out when the game is on the line
and throw three picks
or he wants to put the ball on the carpet and strip.
No, the dude made a great play.
He stripped it.
Yeah.
You're right.
He was holding it with one hand trying to stiff.
He did it for 17, 18 games in the Super Bowl.
He's been running the ball the same way.
He just so happened to do a great play today.
No, you're right.
Because I've never known anybody, any athlete to wake up and say,
you know what, I'm just, I think I'm going to miss every shot I shoot today.
I don't want to make one.
I know one athlete.
Well, I heard somebody say that.
That said today.
I heard somebody, well, I know somebody that said, I'm not going to know one athlete. Well, I heard somebody say that. That said that.
I heard somebody say that. Why, what?
I know a nigga that said,
I'm not going to shoot it today.
Yeah, I heard somebody say that.
I've heard that before.
Take my lower!
Well, I've heard,
I'm not going to shoot it today.
No, I'm just kidding.
And I probably was like,
good, you shouldn't shoot it.
Not from a high level.
But I never woke up, ever,
and say, you know what?
Hmm.
I just think,
I just think,
I'm not going to shoot it.
I'm sorry.
While you brush your teeth,
hmm. Yeah. I'm sorry. I looked at a motherfucker Hmm Why you brush your teeth hmm
I'm sorry. I look I looked at him over come in a locker room and like
Yeah, he don't have it
Jason Tatum didn't want to play well or didn't want to shoot the ball well or whatever
Yeah, I'm gonna try let me go ahead
Conversations with teammates I was like you should just pass today
It on don't take no shots look like you
Going on
Coach you came going through something else is going on matter of fact tell coach you can't play but k is your point we have those hypothetical discussion debates but it's more meaningful
coming absolutely from people that have experienced it at your level because you
can actually talk it more than just a barber shop put ourself in the situation and take
ourself out of there for sure so because we've been in it to know since 10. So I could react this way or not this way.
Or I did react this way.
Or I saw somebody do this or I didn't.
So it's, right?
It's a little different how I've guarded him.
I've given this person buckets.
Like the person you're speaking of, like, we've gone.
That's why it's weird.
We've been playing a game since 10, 8, 5 years old. And you're trying to sit there and try to outsmart me and you took the fucking class in college
You went to
Right you went to school for journalism right a good no disrespect Joe,. Joe played. Joe played. Joe played. Nepotism, but nonetheless.
Joe been around it for a long time.
You been up your dad place, so that's why I said no.
Right?
What'd I do?
These dudes went to school for journalism.
Right? They're journalists.
Mm-hmm.
Okay, you made it to the top of whatever, like, the sports...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever that is.
...world, in TV world, whatever that is. You made it to the, yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever that is....world, TV world, whatever that is,
you made it to the top of, okay, cool.
But you're still naive and limited.
You're ignorant.
Mm-hmm.
You're ignorant to this
because you ain't never laid some out
and went out there and did it.
Yeah.
For sure.
You don't know how to play.
You don't know how to bounce.
You don't know... Like, you just know when somebody like oh, yeah, he took a two for one
Oh, yeah, two for one, right? You don't know what it means. You don't know what it looks like. You don't know why like it
We still questioning our culture is some of his plays let alone you
And to watch the game
I Appreciate And to watch the game, I appreciate Stan Van Gundy.
I appreciate Jeff Van Gundy.
I appreciate Hubie Brown.
I appreciate J.J. Reddick.
I appreciate Richard Jefferson.
I appreciate these guys.
Because they, same language, same feeling as I would say the same thing or do react in
the same way to these guys.
So those are the guys who get our vote and get our like damn.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What you said about Stan Van Gundy.
You said right on this couch and be like, if you had to be a coach, you'd stay in Van Gundy,
right? Stay in Van Gundy, yep.
As much as you disagree with him.
As much as you fucking disagree with him.
Right? To hear him
call the game,
just, I appreciate
it. That's what I'm saying, because
he's been in the situations, he's
seen it. You can see,
you can see a backdoor coming to Milo, like, oh, he's
playing too tight, he's about to jab and go backdoor.
And you can see, oh, that's a steal.
Like, we can read it all before.
Before it happens.
Before.
We tell you what's this out-of-bounds play, you won't know.
But Reggie Miller can know because he's played and been in so many that even today's plays,
he can say, oh, this is about to be a flare.
Oh, this is about to be, he's about to fake the screen and go back door.
He knows it.
He knows how the guy is running.
He knows the style.
He can call it out.
That's the difference.
And say, oh, this was his.
Oh, look, look.
He turned the ball over, crucial turnover.
Yeah, the player he was supposed to be passing the two messed up the play.
This place was supposed to be fake up, go back door.
He threw the back door, he stopped on the back door, which is a no-no.
If you're going to go back door, finish the back door.
And then you get that from a guy who, somebody else, like you said, somebody else is's gonna say he turned the ball over mm-hmm the player gonna explain why he turned it over yep in those moments so he just ain't gonna
give you that open it is turn it over yeah horrible decision by him again yeah
that's why I like people like here like Tony Romo do the game over be like goddamn Tony Romo smart
Yeah, just yeah, yeah
They're gonna clock it right here and they're gonna have this much time in the exact net people like hey
Same to me. I'm watching game people like that. How you know they about dude dude. Yeah
Boom my check I played. Yeah
You said with football players they will recall and what we doing that third down with three minutes ago
It was like the baby baby. This is the things you have to does this are the things that you have to remember
During the game timeout this and the play you got to think about a player motherfucker did in the first time you played him
Oh, he got me on the back door. I try to sneak up. This looked like the same play
from November
Right. Yes same play from November little idea by the running down
So I'm a fake up and I'm I know where you're going with it
Oh got the steal stupid and I remember like we have to do that's we had to remember that stuff
It's like that every intercept and Peyton man of you saw where he ran or he ran it wrong deliberately because he knew Peyton will Watch it. Yeah, then he played against him, but that's the players great. Yeah for sure
Let's let's keep this thing moving
Sure, I see you
Rocking the age of Wilson Jersey keep this thing moving. So Cheryl, I see you rocking the Asia Wilson jersey.
Big news. Came out this weekend.
So after much speculation
and pressure application, Nike's finally
putting some respect on Asia Wilson's name
with her own signature shoe.
I know where to smoke.
They repossessed the smoke machine.
They fucking up in the back.
We have two of them.
She posted this on social.
The answer to the question, she was wearing a sweatshirt.
Of course I have a shoe.com.
If you go to that, it links to her.
Her Nike website.
The two-time WNBA champ, Randy Finals MVP, made that announcement.
Her new A1 shoe will be debuting in 2025.
And Asia is the first black women's basketball player to have a signature shoe with Nike since
our very own Cheryl Swoop.
Know what I'm talking about?
Which is good to hear, but
damn, 22 years? Like, what are we doing?
That's been
a cool minute, as we would say.
Well, you gotta be, well, let me just say this.
Well, let me just,
who else has been as dumb? Any good cards? Well, you gotta be well, let me just say this and then good well, let me just
Write who else is done like shanked her yet machine. Here's my thing not like
From like but not like that and here's my thing and and I thought Asia actually
I Thought she handled the situation very well. I thought, you know, the questions she answered.
So I will say this.
Her shoe had kind of been in the works for about a year.
Oh, so you already knew.
I knew something was coming.
Well, you were plugged in.
But I also know what social media does, right?
So everybody was like, oh, so Nike decided to do this
because rumor is Caitlyn's getting her own shoe, right?
I say rumor because Nike hasn't put that out there anywhere. So everybody is saying that the reason
why Nike did it is because of the news, right? But I thought what Asia said was she didn't want
to rush anything. She wants the shoe, and it's not just a shoe. Like, it's a whole line, right?
For men, for women, for kids.
I actually kind of got a little emotional
because it kind of took me back to when I did mine.
And to be the first black female with a signature shoe
was kind of unheard of, right?
Like, Nike did something out of the box
that no one had ever done,
especially with a female. And so then when you look at the women now prior to Asia,
who have a signature shoe, right? You have Sabrina, you have Stewie,
Elena Deladon, but there are no other black women. Candace with Adidas, but there are no other black women.
So when Asia made her announcement the other day, I was just like, it just really touched
me and I wanted to just be a part of that and say something.
So I did a video and I sent it to her.
It just, for me, it's always been about uplifting women and leaving things better than you found it.
So for Asia to be the second black female athlete at Nike to get a signature shoe is, like, that's pretty special.
And especially when you see, like, the evolution of the game and where the game is going right now and all the shit we just talked about
because there's still so much more work we have to do.
And I said this to her,
there is no other player in this league today
that has been more dominant
and that deserves it more than she does
because she's put the time in,
she's put the work in,
and Asia's a hell of a player.
So absolutely, I had to rock the number 22 jersey today
Have they released your shoe? No
You can put it out there cuz I'm putting it out there go ahead. Oh, yeah, you know you mean we need to hear from
I've put it out there. I've said it so I'll put my idea out there. Here's an idea
I have it's just an idea because they do it on the man's side.
Yeah.
Right?
Uh-huh.
I was like, I was 22. Asia's 22. They need to have a whole, like, collection.
Collab?
Yeah, where there's a box. You get Asia's shoe. You get my shoe. And I don't know how they do that.
But something like that needs to happen.
Just put them in a box. That's what I'm saying. That goat pack. What'd you call it? The goat pack. Shoe and I don't know how they do that. But like that something like that needs to happen just put a
Me and me and Dame have a collab where
Is this it so it's like it's it's it's on my collection and have the shoe is his have to show is mine
Right. So one side is his face one side is my face money day mixed with agents
Right, so it's it's one of those things where even if they don't nice, right?
they do need to re-release it because if you don't want to give girls their signature shoe just bring back the original signature shoe for
Women and then just push that through the league.
They can do that.
So all the girls that's wearing Nike,
you know, hey.
Here's the swoops.
Same thing there with Kobe's.
Well, you know, there's
enough room for everybody.
Right? But I
read something somewhere where
somebody said something about well
Asia's just not that marketable this was before her shoe came out and you know
social media did their thing because they let him hear it but you know when I
look at everything that Asia has done and I'm not even talking about her
awards on the court and stuff she's done off the court, right? Like being listed as Time, what was it,
Time 100 Person of the Year,
and just signed a big Gatorade deal,
just did a big CarMax deal.
There's a reason why all these other companies and brands
want to be a part of Asia.
It's because she does the right thing,
she says the right thing,
and she could just play, right?
She's talented.
I couldn't be happier, more excited for her
because she absolutely has deserved it.
And the thing I really appreciate is
she just kind of sat back in the cut
and just waited for her time to come.
And her time is now.
She is her.
And you talk about just the social media outcry.
I don't think she ever really got involved with that.
But I think it's also to let Nike know,
like, no, we rocking with her.
She needs to have her shoes.
So I think she didn't ever really play into that.
It's the personality.
I mean, you know, when it comes to just selling stuff,
the person has to be able to sell.
Yes.
Because, you know, you can look at Jokic and say he's two-time MVP.
Yeah.
But I don't know what his shoes are.
I ain't rocking no jokers.
His shoes sounds like a three-time or four-time.
Oh, yeah, three times.
No, but you're right.
There's a whole group of little black girls running around this country from age fucking eight to fucking 14.
Yeah.
15.
Yeah.
Come on, man.
I think they do that. Sorry, and grown women, too. Grown women, too. And I mentioned everything else. Fucking 14. Yeah 15 Yeah
Sorry and grown women to own women too, but I mentioned everything else
Like I'm on your WNBA socks right now like
I'm financial. I'm gonna get my baby something. See this one. I'm so easy stuff. It's like you can't yeah, no doubt
No doubt like even her book. I didn't probably her book. They're probably using the man's matrix,
which you can't, where, you know,
players over a certain size don't sell shoes, right?
If you're over 6'9",
it doesn't really translate to kids,
because you're too big.
So, you know, those guys don't really sell shoes well.
It's usually guard form.
Yeah.
Right, but that's, you know,
WNBA girls are not fucking over 6'9",
so you should be fine.
Right?
I think sometimes
they're just scared to,
they're just scared
to try to envelope or...
Well, you know,
and to me the thing
that with Asia
that makes this right
is, like,
Asia identifies
with everybody.
Like, in every race. Mm-hmm. Black, white, brown, gay, straight. like, he should identify with everybody like,
in every race.
Mm-hmm.
Black,
white,
brown,
gay,
straight.
So,
like,
the excitement is there,
the need is there
and people are just like,
just excited about it.
I'm excited about it.
It just,
it's like about time.
Yeah.
I'm not going to be able
to buy it.
She's doing her thing.
Because, you know, Adidas... I'll give you a pair.
No, Adidas was just smarter,
you know what I mean?
No, I'll give you a pair.
You know, you used to Nike this and that
because, you know, we had Candace.
I'll still give you a pair.
I mean, Candace came with a candle,
right, had her shoes, her shoe.
You know, I'm just saying,
you know, Adidas...
And she has a candle.
She has a shoe?
Oh, no.
Yeah, yeah, you know.
I'm just saying, you know, Adidas,
you know, you know,
it came with a nice little package. The shoe came in it. You know, they gave it know, you know, it came with a nice little package the shoe came in it
You know, they gave it to the man and it came with a candle to shoes like so you got a shoe
We set the candle like five times, you know, I'm just letting you know just you know
Y'all just got a step it on y'all just might be just no outdated, you know give you the Asia
You need your shoe out quick. Come on
A swoosh one Come on to the Beatles. No, you're good. Come on to the Beatles. For any Hoopers, I want to be Hooper.
The A swoosh one.
You know I had to put the swoosh in there. They might just be a little outdated over there.
You know what I mean?
22.
How long has it been?
I'm surprised.
How many years?
20-some years.
Who's the other player besides Candace?
Whoa, relax.
Now you're asking important questions. Now you're asking important questions. I'm just saying. Whoa relax
Like now you ask
We got one more piece of sound to get to before the end of the show
Something coming our way out of Dallas, Texas. I believe
We were open shot. So I'm just sharing the ball, and our energy was great.
Okay, moving on.
That's why you got to make sure the computer's always on mute.
That's a teammate, for sure. That's a teammate for sure.
Sounded familiar, I'll say that.
That's 1,000% of teammates sitting in the back
doing just like this?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We ignorant like that.
I think that was somebody in the media
that's a little too thirsty, Gil.
I'm just saying.
You know, media get kicked out.
That's teammates.
I thought it was a teammate messing around and that plenty of times
But now it is mostly fans so

And I picked it myself, too
What is it you okay it wasn't him I don't know his name I just went and it was like what you want

All right. Thank you.
First, Molly's fans' questions from Underdog user KidFreshy13.
Yo, what up, Gil's Arena?
I got a question.
Why do the media try to put the Michael Jordan tag on people like Ant-Man?
Like, why don't they just let them put their own name?
I was watching the Halftime Show, and when Ant-Man was like,
I'm not Michael Jordan.
I'm trying to be my own person.
Stephen A was like, just accept it.
It's like, what if he don't want to?
He want to make his own name? So that's my question
I'm with you homie
It's called a
Career killer is easy way to kill your career. I mean, you know because everyone's gonna fall short, huh?
No, I just said cuz that's just what the media does though
Why is it? No, why is it always what I'm saying? It's just always the same person
But it's always Michael fucking Jordan dog
Yeah, that's the best plan to ever live like you
Just I got twelve hundred points motherfuckers. Do not name do not put me here
Let me start off throw out motherfucker who got 1200
He's number one let me let the pecking order go what the Judy's are
There's a bunch of people that I can go through before
him
Now let me get the year 12 before you start throwing out that but you might not ever be him cool
Don't just in my career. Oh, yeah, you're not as good. You didn't do what Michael Jordan did in year 12. Yeah, right
Yeah, he got he got six championships. You only got three you ain't good enough
I bitch because you named you put him in front of me Yeah. Right? He got six championships. You only got three. You ain't good enough.
Yeah.
Right, bitch?
Because you named... You put him in front of me.
Yeah.
What about Charles Barkley?
I'll be...
Fuck that, bitch.
You done put Charles Barkley there first.
You be like, oh, shitty pass, Charles.
Next up.
Next up.
Okay, that's how.
Start lower and...
Yeah, start lower, but that's what ends up happening. You put everybody at the fucking top person.
This boy 22 years old, man.
Of course we're going to fall short to God.
Okay.
The fuck?
Every time.
He's the next Jesus Christ.
Have you noticed every person that was supposed to be the next Michael Jordan all failed?
Try using someone else.
But that's how they do it.
You know that.
How about the next Harold Minor?
Shit, baby step me first.
Harold Minor, J.R.Roddick, let me get up the totem pole.
There we go.
Shit, get the Ray Allen.
Now we talking.
Let's go. Oh
But that is what the media does. Oh they do
We got white Michael Jordan. How about Luca? How about Larry Bird?
Huh too many Negro tendencies. It's just as always
It's always him. Okay, I'm good for what your skill you see out here. Ooh next Michael Jordan passing
Can't wait for the next player to be compared to Michael Jordan then they get mad like god Oh
So I'm done with this shit this dude right here I
Don't know who that is Ellie Dela Cruz
Yeah, yeah, okay He's black. No, he's Cuban. I ain't no Cuban. Is he Cuban? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Okay, see?
No, there he is.
They had him hit 1.5 runs and all that, and then like three, four games, it was zero.
Yeah, Ellie.
So I said, I'm going to take it low on that.
But he's good.
Okay.
I might not do that shit again.
So before we go, yesterday was Mother's Day, so Sherry sure we got a present for you
Of course, you know we all
Know We all, you know, contributed. Damn, Steve, you had nothing to do with it? Nope. No, it wasn't.

I said I got to go be with them on Mother's Day.
