Gil's Arena - Gil's Arena RETURNS To Recap A WILD NBA Offseason
Episode Date: October 15, 2025Gil's Arena RETURNS To Recap A WILD NBA Offseason as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew re-enter Gil's Arena to break down what went on in and around the association during our summer break. They s...tart the show off by discussing Giannis Antetokounmpo's future with the Milwaukee Bucks as rumors continue to swirl that the Greek Freak wants out of Cream City and react to Giannis continuously putting pressure on the Bucks to improve the team & keep him happy by doing things like adding both his brothers to the end of the bench. The GA Crew & Mr. B give their expectations for the Bucks this season and debate what it would take for Giannis to force his way out of Milwaukee and on to a team like the New York Knicks. Next, they bring back everyone's favorite topic as they highlight the current state of the Los Angeles Lakers and give their expectations for Luka Doncic's first full season playing in purple & gold. They break down what a full season of Luka & LeBron James will look like and debate if the Lakers are doing LeBron dirty by clearly handing the keys over to Luka as the King recovers from injury in potentially the final NBA season of his career. They then highlight another new face in a new place as they break down Kevin Durant's arrival to the Houston Rockets and debate if KD makes the Rockets a true contender as the future NBA Hall of Famer looks to finally guide his team on a deep playoff run for the first time since his days with the Golden State Warriors. Finally, they react to a seemingly productive offseason for Victor Wembanyama as the San Antonio Spurs young superstar was seen training all over the globe and give their expectations for the French phenom's 3rd season, debating if he will finally take the leap into the upper tier of NBA Superstars. Welcome back to season four of Gills Arena, presented my underdog.
Woo-W-W-W-W-W-W-W!
Hold up.
W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W.
W-W-W-W-W!
Just making sure the Woo-W-W-W-W-W-W.
How everybody, family.
Good to see all you fine gentlemen back here on this couch, Season 4.
Good.
We good?
Good.
All right, let's get it.
As I said, this is GILF,
This is Gilzreen.
I'm merely a host Josiah Johnson, better known as King Josiah on the internet, and as always,
we got the legend.
Gilbert Arenas here with us.
And we have most of our legendary cast for this very special episode.
We're going to start up first with NBA champion of the world swaggy P, Nick Young.
Yes.
Oh!
Man, I'm going to cheer you, but I got flying.
You got new audio swagger, special forces.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
They had you shook out there.
I like it.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Uh-huh.
Represented tough crowd,
Tough Crowd University.
We got Mr. Big Brandon Jennings.
And on this side of the couch,
we have the distinguished gentleman
from Oak Cliff, former number one pick,
Kenyon Martin.
And last but not least,
the man.
known as Sima Terry Larry, NCAA champion of the world.
Rashid McCannes, back here on the couch.
Darth Vader with the Green Saber.
I see the vision.
See?
You don't understand.
They had to explain it to son.
We got it.
Well, we got a lot in store for y'all.
Glad to be back.
It's our first show of the season.
Here's what's cracking in the arena today.
The Luca Donchik era has officially begun for the Lakers.
But how will LeBron and Luca handle the changing of the guard
and what could be bronze last season in the league.
The Rockets now have their go-to guy in future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant,
but how much will not having a true beat PG to start the season
be a problem for Houston?
And Janus put the bucks on notice once again,
but are the Greek Freaks Days really numbered in Milwaukee?
But before we get into all that, as always,
this show is brought to you by Underdog.
New to Underdog, use code Gil, get $100 of bonus funds or bonus entries
when you play your first $5 entry, win or lose.
And to kick off the NBA season,
They're the site-wide KD Gimmie pick you don't want to miss, plus daily promos all month long.
And as always, we can't watch the show live with us on YouTube.
We have audio version available on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcast.
So we finally back, took our longest break, I think in the history of Gil's Arena.
But before we look ahead to season four, we've got to look back at how far we've come.
We got our chat back.
The chat is evil.
Yeah, the real chat is back.
The disrespectful chat.
The disrespectful chat is already.
The hate is already started.
God bless y'all.
I thought we lost y'all.
We told y'all don't change up on it.
It said, can you been on mass in season one?
There you go.
They said, can you back?
And say, Rishaw, I got the pee-wee outfit on.
Pee-Ruburnet outfit.
Yeah, so we're back.
You know, Josiah still.
Look like you need those.
We're good.
We're good.
We're back.
Welcome back, baby.
Yeah.
There you go for the chat.
There you go for the chat.
I've been on my Chicago.
Of course, Steve is a cutting weight.
And all you lost a seven.
Okay, it's tough out here.
It was 15, but
had some ox tail.
He gained all that back.
He even had me stress.
He gained that something back when he woke up.
Waterway.
He fucking yawned and took the snap.
Expanded.
But before we look ahead to season four,
we got to look back at how far we've come.
So when we first started Gil's Arena in 2023
right after all-star break, a lot of people didn't think this show
was going to be shit. They doubted us, even prayed for us to fail, but sadly for those misguided
souls, those prayers were not answered. Over the past two plus years, we've been giving
basketball fans around the world the cure for the common show. Only thing running this numbers
famine, business bent booming, 400 episodes, more than 900 million views on YouTube and billions more
across our Gil's arena social media channels. And Gil, you know this, but for the first seven
months of 2025, we were not only the top basketball show on YouTube, we were the number one
sports show on YouTube based on total viewership so everybody here crew included
give yourselves a round of applause great job great job but then in August something
unfortunate happened something that broke our ankles worse than an AI
crossover Taylor Swift became our new top of the future Mrs. Kelsey made an
appearance on her main boot Travis's new height show temporarily pushed us out to
paint I ain't go a lot it was a great episode the life of a show girl but we
Here at Gills, we need a good challenge, and we take pleasure in proving our doubters
wrong.
So like a wise woman once said, leave one wolf alive, and the sheep are never safe.
So with that, we're going to get back and doing what we do better.
There ain't no damn woman.
Get your game of throws up, Jill.
Leave one wolf alive.
That's not a real one.
That was a writer.
That was a male writer.
All right, with that, let's get back into it.
So we're going to start in the east where the ongoing saga with the Greek freak in the
buck continues heading into this season.
So after the past few years, Giannis has made it clear he wants to be in a winning situation,
whether that's in Milwaukee or another destination.
But it's stated repeatedly, he wants to bring another title to Cream City
and is committed to the Bucks for the time being.
But since winning the chip in 2021, the Bucks have won only one playoff series
with three straight first round exits.
The last one bringing an end to the freak time era.
Bucks waved and stretched Damien Lillard this off season.
He did get all of his $113 million dollars.
Shout out to Dan for that.
Dan's last game in the Buc's uniform, sadly.
ruptured his Achilles, but back with the Blazers,
look and get back right.
But according to Shams, in a report by ESPN,
the Bucks and Nix discussed a potential Yannish trade
back in August, with Shams saying New York
is the Greek-Feeds' preferred destination
if he were ever to dip from Milwaukee.
So Yannis was asked about the Nix trade rumors recently
had this response.
I'm here.
So all the other extra stuff does not matter.
I think I've communicated my teammates,
communicate with the people that I respect and love,
that the moment that I step in on this court
or in this facility, where this jersey,
the rest does not matter.
I'm locked into whatever I have in front of me.
Now, if in six, seven months, I changed my mind.
I think that's human too.
You're allowed to make any decision you want.
But I'm locked in.
I'm locked into this team.
I'm locked into these guys, to this group,
and to my coach staff, and to myself.
Six, seven months, Yon said.
Bucks received the message loud and clear
and are showing just how committed they are to keeping Yannis happy.
So back in August, they brought back his big bro, Thanassus, on a one-year deal.
And Monday it was announced they were signing his younger brother, Alex, to a two-way deal.
It's the first time in NBA history that three brothers are all on active roster contracts with the same team.
Lovar Ball's dream became the Anacupo Bros. reality.
But question for you, Gil, do you respect Janus for constantly applying the pressure to the Bucks?
Of course. I mean, you know, when you're talking about, you know, being elite, you know, it's, you can only do so much, you know, with your ability and your talent, you know, to get to that next level, to be a champion, to be consistent. And in playoff realm, you know, it's the organization. The organization has to, you know, want to spend, want to pay and have the same vision of winning, you know. So the fact that he's always
showed the idea that he can leave at any moment
it always kept him saying all right
we'll try to make things work right when you think about other teams
just history itself is if you was in one of those cities
that wasn't into winning it was just into their money
they never improved that that team so the fact that he's always
you know hey hey I'm winning leave I want to leave I want to win
if you're not about winning then I need to be out of here
the fact that he's done it has at least kept them relevant
Let's shift over this side shot looking at Yannis situation, the Bucks he's set for years now.
One of a winning team, three straight first round exits, haven't got past the second round since winning the chip in 2021.
You respect Yannis for constantly applying the pressure with this Bucks organization.
I'm going to say respect aside.
There's only one winner at the end of the year.
And you ask for racing for wanting to win every year.
It's commendable.
But, you know, the only thing he can do is get better.
better every year, you know, and being a leader, being the voice, being the face of the
franchise, you've all felt like those type of guys have control over who comes onto the
rosters.
And obviously him bringing his, you know, the full house, family matters, TGI Friday,
he then brung them all together.
So that means he has some type of leeway to be able to have his family reunion come to the
team instead of going to get some viable pieces to go help him win the championship that
he so willingly says that he wants to win, it says a lot, it says that he's going to have
more pressure than ever this year.
And seeing that they didn't get to pick up Russell Westbrook, who was readily available,
and there's a lot of other free ages still readily available that could be picked up.
The books are just going to be where they've been the last four years, trying to get in,
trying to stay in. They don't look like a favorite. They got some solid pieces, but nothing
that's going to take them over to hump in the east. So good luck. Good try. I want to hear no
excuses. Ken, what do you think about Janus? Constantly applying the pressure with the Bucks,
tell him he wants a winning team, and if not, he will take his talents elsewhere.
Yeah, when you won somewhere and you've basically rebuilt that organization from your hard work and dedication to your craft, yeah, you can make those demands, you can hold their feet to the fire.
Yeah, because you know what he's going to bring to the table night in and night out.
So it's not a big ask for him to ask that, but to go out and execute that ask, is.
has seemed a tall task for the front office right so with the coaching staff that he's
been having to endure after Boonehosa left so it's been it's been this roller
coaster of a of an organization since he's been a staple of that but I can't
yeah to continuously have to remind an organization that
you're trying to win, that's never a good thing.
I'll let you back over to this side of the couch.
Swaggy, got a ton of family, Milwaukee looking for you.
Say you don't call them back.
But what do you think about the Yana's situation going on right now?
And him saying he's committed for at least the next six or seven months?
I think it's Milwaukee, you know.
Who want to come to Milwaukee?
I think the East is wide open.
It's the time when Milwaukee win when other teams is hurt.
Yonah is the best player in the East.
He's gonna be hard to stop him.
You need to make him happy.
I'll get all his brothers, you know.
Like, get the whole family, get the oldest brother
that ain't played in a couple years.
You're all back.
Not oppressive.
You know, Boston ain't Boston right now.
Right now, I think, Milwaukee got a chance.
As far as it's kept, they got a chance for sure.
I hate to say it.
Mr. Bucks is six, Mr. B. Brandon Jennings.
I'm Milwaukee Brewer's fan too, but we won't pressure you about that.
What do you think about this whole situation with Yannis and constantly applying the pressure with this Bucks organization?
I mean, I think them signing his brother, I mean, knowing that both his brothers would be like the 14th and 15th man.
His brother Alex, which he'll be probably in the G league a lot, so he'll be back and forth.
And then, you know, with the East, the way the East is, I think anybody right now in the East has a chance, especially with Yonis being the best player in the East.
You know, this is the first time Yonis will play with a young team too since his first.
couple years so it's a team that would be getting up and down you know we got
Miles Turner so you know he's a big he's a big step from Brooke Lopez because
we had trouble on the defensive end and yeah we should be top five or top three
in the East or in the league in three-point bill goes so I got a question yeah
what does his brother being on the staff have to do fucking winning like I'm
curious more support well well well face time fucking work well he lost the
Oral support.
Like, what does that have to do with them, like, affecting winning?
Well, the NASA has a lot to do with affecting winning.
Well, his leadership and then the fact that he comes in there, he works every day.
Who isn't listening to him?
Everybody.
Everybody.
About what?
About basketball.
They're talking Greek.
He's out of averaging 31 and 14 year in year out.
The NASDAG ain't got shit to do with that.
Yeah, you do.
You can ask anybody.
What's honest average last year?
You can ask anybody who's his...
30.4-11 rebounds the game.
He was there.
He was in the family room waiting, waiting for baby.
He was in the family room waiting for baby, bro.
I listen to my brother.
He ain't played.
Who?
I listen to my brother.
He ain't play in the NBA.
You act like your brother.
You don't listen to your family.
Listen to, I said, see that y'all want to.
That's what you know.
Y'all hear what you want to hear.
That ain't what the fuck I said.
I said, how did them being on the roster affect winning?
This is what I said.
But that ain't.
Well, the NASA energy, well, the NASA's energy has a lot to do with that.
Last year.
Energy win.
The nasty.
Doing what?
Doing what?
Being there.
Being a leader working hard every day.
It's a lot of God.
Getting the whole team, getting together.
I mean, yeah, locker room.
That matters.
Man, he in the way.
No, he's in a way.
No, he ain't in a way.
He ain't in a way.
So, Gil, you said that Yonis lost to oral.
There's two spots they can give somebody else.
For sure.
There's two spots, brother.
Somebody else that fucking didn't work.
they ass off to get.
I mean, well, you gotta want to come there, too.
So maybe they don't want to come to me.
I'm sure they have.
They didn't, I'm sure they have.
I'm sure the walking bucks have.
They didn't call everybody.
Well, who, he wants them there?
Well, who they need to call?
I'm saying, they didn't call everybody because they got.
I'm sure they called the people that they wanted.
No, they did.
They got the two that they wanted.
No, I'm sure they called other players that they want.
They just got those two.
No, they know.
There's a whole lot of free agents.
There's a whole lot of free agents.
And a lot of free agents that want to go there.
No, they got to offer them.
Who didn't, I don't know who they, I'm sure they did offer.
I'm probably, they just, but you don't know.
I'm sure they did.
You assume me.
I'm sure they did.
I'm sure they did.
Well, that's good, but you assume me.
I'm sure they did.
I'm sure the Milwaukee Bucks organization, called, got the phone, it was like, yo.
Who?
So they settled for the Nassas and his brother?
Then ask me.
So, so, so, so they settled for the two hundred de Koubo brothers.
No, I don't think so other people was available.
And they say, do they want to come there?
You know what?
But do they want to come there?
Fuck, Russ.
Fuck Ben Simmons.
Fuck these dudes.
We don't go to them to.
But do they want to come there?
We don't know that.
That's what I'm saying.
But you don't know if they offer tonight.
That's what I'm saying.
You said you sure they did.
I'm sure if I'm a gym, I'm sure I'm going to pick up the phone and call us.
Russbrook.
He's a top 75 player.
I mean, I'm not that stupid.
So let's get back to something Gil said real quick.
We back.
We're back, baby.
We are all right.
We're back, baby.
But Gil, you said Janus lost the oral support, but he brought in the moral support.
I believe referring to a report that his family has opted to move
back to Greece, let him stay in
war. Yeah. So the fact that he lost his wife and
kids, because they're going to stay, they're going to stay
in Greece.
Lost the happy times. They have to bring
on the bros.
So he lost
his family. So they said, all right, listen,
what you need? I need my bros.
So they brought his brothers on.
They keep him grounded, you know.
And, you know, wife and kids usually kept him grounded.
But the fact that he lost those, you know,
the season, so they brought his... I hear y'all.
But let me ask you all, so.
the fact the words that's coming out of this man mouth
that it's about winning and losing, right?
Damn that shit.
Like, none of that shit matters.
So that's what he's, like,
his brothers don't have to be there
for him to still feel to not feel that way.
Like, whether they're there or not,
he is still saying,
I want to win.
And if you don't, like, so.
I mean, they're the 14th and family section.
Yeah, they got a family role in the family section
and right behind.
You can come to every game.
They can come to every single game.
can be as moral support.
But I'm saying
the 14 to 15, man, they're not helping you
in.
Like, yeah, so it doesn't even matter.
That was my question.
That was my question.
So you can put anybody there.
So they put more support.
My point.
He is, that's the point.
And Gil, apparently, Yon has refuted that report
said his family is going to still be.
I'm saying, that's the point.
That's the point I'm making, Gil.
That's the point, exactly.
So we've had lengthy debates about
nepotism in the league.
Obviously, there's been criticism
of some star players bringing in
family members to join the team.
Now Yannis has not one, but two of his
brothers on the Bucks roster. So y'all cool with Yonis
leveraging his power to bring his
brothers into this team. If that's what's
going to keep him happy and keep him in Milwaukee. Hell yeah, it's
my team. It's okay if the star players flexes on the team,
it says, you're my family here.
Whatever he say go? Okay.
Nah, man, that's not. Yeah, that's what losing
brings. Yeah, man. He said
goal. He won't. He won't. He won't.
He won't. They all won't. They all won him and
So therefore he won't be their own man.
That's exactly what's going on.
Therefore, he won't be the only.
He's signaling that I'm probably going to leave after this year.
We're going to have a little kumbach yab.
Therefore, it's-
And that's cool, too.
Exit soon come.
Yeah.
About six, seven months.
The Bucs have him here.
But let's talk about this actual team.
So Bucks made some off-season moves to strengthen the roster.
They grabbed Miles Turner from the Pace with the Free Agency,
along with Cole, Anthony from the Magic,
re-signed Bobby Portis, Kevin Porter, Jr.
And Gary Trell.
Trent Jr. Now look to roll out a projected starting lineup of KPJ, Gary Trent, Kyle
Kuzma, Yannis, and Miles Turner, along with a solid bench anchored by Bobby Porter's.
As we know, East's wide open, Celties don't have Tatum, Pacers don't have Halliburton, but
the Knicks, Magic, and Pistons are in the mix as well to compete for that top spot.
So Mr. B., how much faith do you have in this Buck Squad to come out of the East this
season?
I think I just said it, but I mean, I think they have a good chance just with the East
being down.
before Janus being one of the best players in the league in it every game long as he stay healthy
I think the bucks have a chance like I said getting Miles Turner getting cold getting those guys
us being able to play fast pace being up and down and being a three point threat so you know
getting Janus to come down drive and kick a lot you know hit big shots man if this is going to be
Janus's last year or whatever if I'm on this team I'm gonna go all out because you know this is
my chance to be able to play for a contract and be able to get my name out there so
You know, if I'm a player that's playing with Yonis this year, I'm going, I'm going all out.
Gil, obviously, you and Doc Rivers, man the fences, you're a Doc Rivers fan now.
How much faith do you have with the Buc's yourself?
Yes.
That's Marquette.
Rionis and Doc Rivers in this Buc Squad to come out of the East this season.
I mean, you have Knicks, Cleveland's going to be top dogs right now.
I'm not really, I'm not really sold on Orlando.
um i'm not sold on them in the playoffs right um they were healthy in the playoffs last year
and you know they're still young so you know i don't think they're going to be a real threat
you know until probably next season's after this um so i mean bucks man this bucks with this lineup
with this roster they have veterans they have young guys they have one-on-one players they have
have flat-out shooters. They have six men. They have a full, full team of guys who can just
put the ball in the basket and defend. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if, you know,
they're in the Eastern Conference Championship and making it into the championship. Like,
the way the landscape is, Miami defending Janus, that team ain't there like that. Boston,
they're not there like that. The team that ran a match.
out of the building in Indiana.
They're not healthy, so.
But you still got the calf?
The only, yeah.
Yeah, that's, you know what I mean?
So it's, it's, that might turn.
You know, I mean, I'm not, I'm not, you know,
we see what the calves are in the playoffs too, right?
That's Donovan Mitchell, right?
Everyone still seems young, but, you know, they've learned.
So they're gonna be better, but you know,
you're talking about very experience,
like, Buck's team individually, you got Miles
who went to the championship,
who's going to add, you know, add to Yannis, they could be a favorite, you know, after the first two weeks.
Let's see how they're starting up, to see how they look.
But on paper, they should be top three easy.
Let's have to decide.
Y'all got faith in this Buc Squad.
Yonis, he got his brothers on the team now.
They got Miles Turner.
Who wants the blueprint?
Oh, shit.
That patient blueprint.
No, I always got faith in Yonis because of how he plays the game, right?
Always. Like, anytime he laces him up, he gives itself a chance.
So if you put the right pieces around him and coaching don't have coaching moments, right,
that they've been known to have.
But, no, they're definitely top three team in the East right now in the landscape of it.
After that, we'll see.
They have games to play.
You know, there's always a sleeper team.
Somebody always plays better than they are.
somebody always gets hurt so yeah but right now as we start any situation that yonis is in
and there's a down year for the league overall he always gives himself a chance to own his
because of his approach so we see what's him to teller i see your face right now what do you think
about this buck squad and the prospects in the east this season calves new york cleveland
i mean calves new york indiana three right but pacer's no haliburton you got you got a match
The Magic Squad.
Those three, right?
Paolo Bancara.
Orlando.
Wagi, Wagi.
Philly.
Philly.
I say Charlotte's better than the Bucks right now.
When we talk about real like, poop, when you're talking about injuries, the injuries are going to be the reason why the bucks are going to be good this year at some point everybody's going to get healthy.
Right?
At some point everybody's going to be.
Everybody's going to be.
But Mathrin's actually looking a little bit better
than he's looked.
He's probably gonna insert himself into the starting lineup.
We got Jordan Clarkson for the New York Knicks
that added a lot of flavor for what we got going over there.
I think the East win completely healthy,
which will be mid-season, everybody's gonna look different, right?
But you look at that lineup with the bucks,
could you name it again?
Kevin Porter, Jr., Gary Trent.
Kyle Kuzma, Yannis at the 4th, I'm disappointed
Miles Turner at the 5, we got Bobby Porch coming off the bench.
I'm not, I'm gonna let him talk.
If that was me saying, I'm gonna let him talk.
No, I'm gonna get, no, I'm gonna let him finish his statement.
I'm just saying.
Let me John, we are back to the fourth.
So I'm trying to, oh, hell would have broke out.
I'm trying not, you not.
No, I'm trying to be, you not me.
So you're not me.
You're not me.
You're not me.
I'm trying to finish his statement.
You're not me.
You can't, if I was you, you're gonna teamack it over here now.
If if, if, if it was me, nigger, please, I do this.
Okay?
So I got, what was the roster?
So I got two questions.
What was the roster again?
So I got a two-part question.
Kevin Porter Jr.
Gary Trent, Kyle Cousman.
Right, somebody that had to come in and fight his way to that position.
Because Dame is out.
Gary Trent, Jr. was a sixth man for the Toronto Raptors.
He comes in, steals a position.
Cal Cousma got shipped out, shipped in.
Miles Turner, you're using that as some type of like protocol for what he helped,
which he was the reason kind of why we didn't go further.
Okay, so you're using all these different things to say like this is going to help Milwaukee.
It ain't helping Milwaukee do nothing.
They're going to have more timeouts in the game.
More timeouts than any team in the league.
Charlie.
Timeouts.
Time out.
Time out.
Time out.
Time out.
I can name two.
Thank you.
That's what I'm saying.
Miles Bridges and Ball.
Thank you.
Mello.
That's two, there's two more than the Milwaukee.
La Mello.
La Mello.
Lamello.
For one.
Lamello.
Them two.
And Brandon Miller.
A young fellow.
Them three.
He out, right?
More than, that's more than Milwaukee Bucks.
You heard that.
That's what they say, all right?
I say the Atlanta Hawks over this.
Fuck.
Charlotte. Say Atlanta.
I say Atlanta. Better
than the Milwaukee Bucks.
Why not?
If we're talking who? I ain't
just talking. We talk who, so you're not going to put the Charlotte
harness. I'll put both. I'm putting
Charlotte and Atlanta.
So I got another question for you.
So you're not changing teams this year?
Because you didn't change teams the last
three seasons. So you're over there talking
about we when you're talking about the Knicks. So I just want to
know if you jump a ship like you normally
do. Simmetry. You're yet to make a decision.
about his team.
We do have a little bit of time.
Yeah, listen, one thing for sure,
two things for certain.
He's had ample time
because we ain't been in this bitch.
He's had ample time
to motherfucker make his mind up.
Several months for reflection.
I'm still thinking.
Still thinking.
I'm still thinking.
When you started yet?
I do notice a jersey
I don't get the suit.
No, okay.
I'll just make it short.
I don't know if we're transitioning into that yet.
No, no.
We have to bring up some things.
We're going to talk about them
tomorrow we have some things to discuss because you didn't see Charlotte play at all last year you
didn't watch that at all that was last year but they they my last year I seen a lot of players
play a lot of 13th place last year stripes and spots come to mind if you don't get better this
year it's a problem I think everybody got better at some point itself for them walkie buck and
they missing young fell out so who brandy miller out so what he out with a ACL there was a something of
the sort but anything of the sort what did he do
They're better than Milwaukee.
You got her in something?
No, no.
As you know, I'm not well versed on things going on this time.
I thought I seen them in the preseason game.
I thought I seen him playing.
Okay, you could have.
He's dealt with injury in the previous year.
But they ain't go steal him, them, and them, they ain't going to, they're playing Charlotte.
It's still mellow, mellow ball, a mellow ball.
I hate the bucks.
I don't like the bucks.
Why don't you like the bucks?
The bucks don't like Milwaukee.
The bucks don't like the buck.
A fine city.
Hell no.
I want to tell my dog to go there.
Mr. B, you have anything to say?
No, next subject.
Like you can walk you just by nothing?
Okay, not feeling it.
Bucks is sick.
Not entertaining.
Brewers and six tour.
We'll see.
Okay, make sure.
Brewers.
We got basketball.
No.
We got, oh, I forgot, we called me.
But last but not least on this, Janice's time before we move on.
Realistically, what would it take for Yanis to want a dip from Milwaukee
to take his talent to the Big Apple?
Like Shams said, it's either Milwaukee or New York.
They tried to work the framework of a deal.
Didn't get too far in those discussions.
There's also reports that the NASS has the option to sign with the Knicks as well,
but decided to come to the Bucks.
Oh, the RISD?
You said, what will make him want a dip?
What would make him want a dip?
How bad of a season would the Bucks need to have for him to be like I'm in there?
Like Gil said, they got to get to East and Conference Finals or anything other than that, he's out.
I think
But Janice ain't been healthy too
in the playoffs lately
But
Yonis
Just for shits and giggles, right?
Probably not
Who do you trade?
All right for the Knicks?
Yeah, that's what I want to know
In order to still be competitive
Who do you trade?
So the game of Kel Bridges his bread
He's not eligible to trade
February 1st but you obviously got OG CAP
No, there's no next season
He played this year out
and B said if they don't make it to the East of Commerce
Finals, he's out, right?
Because they got to, because he's not a free agent.
So, Nick's, I mean,
because he just extended.
Most likely, Knicks had just say Brunton's off the table,
you're going to have a picket everybody else.
Yeah.
So it all depends.
That's nasty basketball.
So it depends on like what bucks won't,
what Buck Swamp from.
You know, yeah, you start.
But then it's not a good,
those two are not a good.
And now two teams are trying to fucking put this puzzle together that don't fit to try to go out and compete now because you got all these smalls that's going to have to go to go to Milwaukee.
Yeah. And like, don't make sense.
There's only one. There's only one player.
You got to give a town, huh?
Who?
No, I mean, yeah, they're going to town.
Don't think the bus for you necessarily want to.
That's a lot of bread on the salary cap to bring crime in these towns.
But then you got him and miles turn out that motherfucker playing out on the perimeter.
Like, they can build a better.
So it's, they can build a better team.
I thought it was a third.
But, you know, it's not going to take anything, but it's just a good trade because at the end of the day, he won it out.
Right?
His sights were on New York.
You have to be a third.
You know what I mean?
So, you know, the fact that he was, I'm willing to leave me.
Four, five, six, 17.
Hell of picks.
It'll be one of them blockbuster, historic trades that he needs to play with a, 34 players got traded.
He needs to play with a brown.
No, he can't play.
He can't play with a bunch.
He can't play with a boss.
Yon is under contract for the next two seasons has a player option 2027 that he could also.
Ross had that ball to him.
You have to trade him to work.
You have to trade him to, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's,
you got to treat him like, more like, a Mara Stademeyer.
Yes.
Right?
And that's how you, that's the kind of point guard you need.
So you needed a Hallie or, um, a lamello ball type of guy who is willing to pass.
pass knows how to pass has that vision that's doing pick and roll so yeah huh him and
tray young his idea that's the perfect because that's that pick and roll you dive i'm throwing a
lob like that's that playing him i'm gonna knock your head that that that sounds like the better
trade that would probably happen is him that uh him over there i think yonis was stuck in a basement in
Atlanta at a certain point right before he got draft.
Before he got the draft, because Atlanta spotted him, and they
was hiding him, yeah, they were hiding him there.
Wait, for real?
Yeah, they were hiding him in Atlanta.
Like the, the Norley's inmate.
I'm trying to figure out who, I forgot who house he was staying at.
I forgot who house he was staying at, just hiding there working out.
Hey, this man, witness protective.
Yep, and then, Bucks heard about it.
Oh, shit.
I believe that coach ended up going to the program.
Yeah, the coach that was there ended up going to the bucks and gave him a rundown.
The whole Boonehouser crew.
Wow.
Wow.
Now we're stuck in the closet.
Like, shit.
But we will see how the situation goes, Milwaukee.
We got this, hey, got this stuff in the closet over here, man.
Listen, y'all, hey, y'all.
We got a Greco Nigerian down in the basement.
Yeah, he's stuck in the closet.
Like the movie.
They are up there.
Remember that movie?
They are up there.
All right, let's keep this thing moving.

All right, let's shift over to the Western Conference.
Talk about the most important team in the West of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Lakers stunned the basketball world during Black History Month,
pulling off arguably the biggest mid-season trade in league history to land Luca Donchick.
So after finishing the third in the West, their season came to an abrupt end in the first round of the playoffs.
Yes, Ken, sir.
You don't want to talk about the champs first from the West?
Like, we're going to talk about the champs.
Damn, you saw the final.
Damn, that's crazy, no.
We forgot they won a champ in shape.
That's how it's irrelevant.
That's all.
Go ahead.
I mean, you got the shoes on.
I'm sorry.
It made me think.
It was just blue.
That's all.
Can you saw the final numbers?
So we only got two days a week.
We got to run numbers up, okay?
We are trying to keep the lights on wrist due.
We will talk about SGA and the OKC Thunder as time permits.
We're talking about time.
We're not talking Friday today.
We got time restraints.
We have time restraints two days a week.
But last said, the Lakers finished third in the West.
Season came to abrupt end in the first round of playoffs at the hands of end.
playoffs at the hands of Ant Man and the Wolves who made light work of the Leuca
Bronchik duo.
This offseason, as expected, Luca agreed to a $365 million max extension to keep him with
the Lakers until at least 2028, officially beginning the Luca era for the purple and gold.
This summer, Slovenia and Jesus was absolutely dominant.
Pop that smoke.
Representing his homeland in Eurobasket, you can give him some smoke.
I know you love Luca.
You big, big, just big Luca fan.
World's biggest Luca fan.
Like I said, Luca dominant Eurobasket.
Get averaging 35 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, three steals, while also being nominated
for the best defender in the tournament, which may surprise something.
Look out there like that.
What?
Hey, look up.
He's talking up, Stan.
He also pulled up the training camp looking slim and trim on that Luzempic.
So despite being listed, it's 14 pounds heavier than he was last season, but we all know
muscle weighs more to fat.
Luca made his preseason debut, Tuesday night against the Suns, had 25-7 boards, four assists,
and 22 minutes of action.
There's 22 easy work.
Oh, shit.
Exciting wife.
MVP.
MVP.
MVP.
Luka.
Basha.
I'm going to ask you first.
What's your expectations for Luca in his first full season with the Lakers?
Expectations.
For Luca Jermaine Doctor.
Probably to put all that weight back on.
I mean, I'm gonna be singing free willy by the end of the season again.
Yeah, it's that.
Figuring out who to bring in, because Brian going to be in and out of the rotation, man.
You know, he's going to be stressed.
He's going to be smoking cigarettes like Joker by the end in the back.
Like Blotty Devon.
Give me a dart, goddamn.
These niggas is stressing me out.
You're stressing me out.
You see JJ in the press conferences.
don't even know what to say.
What you think he's going to be trying to figure out what
Luca's saying in the language he's speaking.
He's sitting there.
What's you saying, Luca?
Fuck you, JJ.
Look at that shit.
Run the fucking play. Pick and roll.
Give me a ball.
Give me the rug. Get off the way.
Let's shift over to this side. Mr. B.
Yeah, I think Luca would be in MVP talks this year.
Averaging around 28, 30, 8 and 8.
Probably more than that.
At time.
Right, that was half time.
You said, half time stats, right?
Then you said 28, 8, 8, right?
That's what you said, 28?
28?
I don't disrespect that white man.
That's a good white man.
So would you think 35?
Yeah, around here.
Like James Harden 35?
Probably more.
No LeBron James.
Lakers 18 and 10 with Luca following the trade last season.
Luca did miss some time though.
30.
Doing with the ham.
You're back in 19.
I mean, but it's Lucas team now, though.
So I know Luke moving forward is going to be easier for the Lakers to move on from Brown.
Unnecessary, Brandon.
This was a Lucas.
No, I'm just, it's his team.
I mean, that's the biggest issue.
How will I bring him to treat the situation?
Is he ready to be a number two?
Like, this is the first time of his career where he'll have to literally be a number two, a Robin.
Just want to win.
We're just monitoring situations, minding our business, dealing with the Skyatikas.
But let's get back to.
The Luca Gil, obviously, the biggest Luca Dante fan in Los Angeles now, Slovenia, Jesus.
Slovenian.
What's the question?
You got real nervous, though, when Brown looked like he might retire, but it was a Hennessy promo, I just want to point that out.
Yeah, I was just from...
All of a sudden, you were appreciative.
You was a little appreciative.
You know, I get paid, right?
So I was just promoting it, you know, getting the hype out there, you know what I mean?
I already knew he already knew he wasn't going away.
The clutch check.
Just had the hype.
the machine up, man.
You fell for it, right?
You feel for it.
No, we told you three years.
We still got three years left.
All right, what did you say?
What are your expectations for Luca Donchick
in his first full season with the lekers?
He has the keys now.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's looking for the backstreet boys.
He out there driving porches with the squad.
Oh, yeah, so everybody talking about his weight.
He came in shape last year in Dallas.
He got hurt, got fat.
Right, that's how that worked.
And then he came in here.
Being fat, what do you average 28, what?
Last season?
Yeah.
About 28, 8.
Okay, so then he went lost weight, and then what did he average in, what did he average in, what did he average in the West Side Overseas?
In Eurobasket, 2025, he averaged 35 points, nine rebound, seven assists, three steals.
Oh, three steals.
Right.
And they play hard, right?
Okay, so I'm expecting, I'm expecting that he is going to flirt with a triple-double all season might hit it.
If he don't hit it, he's going to be shy from the assist part because the rest of our team.
He's going to lead the league in scoring.
For sure.
Yeah, for sure.
For sure.
Easy.
He's going to lead the league and score.
For sure.
Over Yonis?
Over SBA?
For sure.
Man, it's not even a debate.
Have you seen the team?
I'm just saying.
We got a dude that just went up and down like Carter.
He looked like my player.
When I went to the wreck, and I'm just out there running because I don't know where to go,
that's what Marcus Smart did last night.
So we got those on the team for sure he's taking all the shots.
And Marcus Smart just wanted to take elbow.
Yeah, he just...
You just see the SGA last night?
No, I seen SGA, but SJ is trying to win another championship.
He had 30 in like 19 minutes.
He's trying to win another championship.
We got a guy.
The LeBron goal?
If LeBron ain't going to be playing and then the rest of the team looks the way it looks,
right a bunch of, you know, no squad wreck players,
he's going to be out there.
He's going to be out there, Chuck and baby.
He's going to average about 35 for sure.
Easy work.
No way.
Marcus Mark, I don't want the ball.
He's fucking time down.
Easy work.
In no way.
They don't play that way.
They don't play that way, so he's going to average 35.
He said there ain't no way he let in the day that he's not going to double team, Luca.
I said these teams don't play that way.
They switch everything.
He's going to have to 75.
I don't even know what double team mean.
All right.
Have you all seen a double team?
None of this NBA.
What is that?
They don't double team like they switch and they really think they can go.
somebody.
They don't even love what a double team is today.
It's 6-11.
Switch!
Yes.
I have to like this goddamn post right here.
Put his hand.
You know, he's laying that bitch up.
Like, no, no, it's.
No, Luke's really good.
You don't have the type of year that, but I just want to know, like, it's,
all that second option shit sound good to that ball start going and he out there.
Like, I hear you, and I think this is, like I said,
the future is for Lucas to be the leader of the Los Angeles
Leger, I agree with that, but human nature, man.
Like, I just, like...
So at Lakers Media Day, LeBron did say that he was comfortable
with being a corner boy.
He was a corner nigga last year.
Wait, he was a corner nigga last year.
He was second option last year.
It wasn't known.
Yes, it was known.
That fourth quarter.
That was all Luca.
He was said.
It was not known last year that it was Lucas team.
You've never seen LeBron take wide open threes like he did last year.
Because his ass is in the corner, chilling like Roole.
You didn't know the difference between him or Rooze.
So him getting his ass kicked the way he did.
So him getting his ass kicked the way he did against him, he's cool with that.
Being the second option.
You don't think when that shit gets, I can't.
I see that.
Word by the theory.
Yeah, okay.
Regular season.
We know we're doing regular season.
You worry about the thing.
No, listen, it's going to be too far gone.
far gone by then.
That's what I said.
I'm willing to see how LeBron going to treat this situation.
That's what I want to know, right?
As being a number two, as playing Robin.
And when he got his ass kicked last year the way he did, right?
He don't care.
How he's going to react to that?
Like, no, fuck that.
We tried it y'all away.
It didn't work.
It's the first time in Brown's career where he would have to be the second off.
That's known.
So this is, hmm.
He's going to be missing games.
I don't want to play.
I didn't hire you.
I didn't hire you.
JJ switched up after the podcast.
That's all I'm saying.
He actually knew.
He's a golfer now.
Golf from him.
You don't care of him.
He's a golfer now.
20 million.
Shit, I don't be chilling too.
He's drinking henny.
He's in the whiteball.
He's in that corner now.
When you get to that henny, you turn into a corner, nigg.
Y'all really think he's going to sit over there and just be waiting on the ball to come over there, really?
That's what he was going last year.
That came in a BSOP.
B-SOP in that mug doing all that?
Yeah, that was LeBron.
Three, three in the corner.
What did they get them?
And that's my point.
They got their ass kick doing it.
That was a new team, though.
They got who?
That was a team that did not have Jake LaRavi again.
This team just put together.
No, they got, they got...
They got what?
This team just put together as well.
We got some...
We just got no complaining about one...
No, we got some better pieces to be about seven-seat.
You got the other exciting white...
So it's the norm.
Yeah, no, no.
Six, seven.
Yeah, we can seven seed, maybe six, and then we win first round.
You feel me?
Like, I think we're going to get out of first round.
You get past first round.
Yeah, you're not talking championship.
You know, I got a, I got a, huh?
Champions.
No, no, no, no, no.
LeBron ain't there, so I'm not going to be delusional.
That's reasonable.
If LeBron's going to be playing in the first round.
Yeah.
You know, if LeBron was there, then it's on championship.
Like, on paper.
Y'all might be the seven best team on paper in the West.
Hell, man, no.
On paper in the West?
On paper in the West, y'all might be the seven.
Yeah, think about the West.
Name.
There's only a shame, huh?
Shane, Joker.
You're not putting them seven.
I said, might be.
Nah.
Hey, that's why I said, might be.
Hey, hey.
I'm being generous.
We're going to be around six to Sam.
Yeah.
Go to state?
You're better than go to state?
We better.
Yeah, we got that.
Yeah.
That old-ass team?
Golden State?
Y'all not better than Houston, Golden State.
No, they self-sacromania.
They self-sabotized, so we.
But on paper, I said on paper, Sacramento's stacked.
Five, three, six, five.
On paper, Sacramento, on stack.
Stack this fuck.
It just got a little more stack, which we'll talk about.
Yeah, so if you look at it, like, yeah, y'all,
championship, I hear you.
And Brun taking the seconds, backseat, I hear you.
So I want to see it, right?
It sounds good, but I want to see it.
Seven, eight.
Yeah, season champions?
They're going to be three players.
They don't even know what to do.
Well, they're going to be so tired of him by game 34.
They're going to be tough.
They're going to be so sick of DeAndre, 80 by 34.
They're going to get him 15.
15.
Yeah.
He's going to be like, well, y'all didn't give me the ball.
You're a good.
It ain't right.
Looka took that Dallas team to the chips.
And then we got the picking and roll with me.
And we got Aiton up there now.
Come on, man.
Come on, man.
We need to have that conversation with Marcus.
Listen, this is not,
this is not Boston, right?
You don't have to just run up and down the court, man,
and play defense.
This is not the East Coast.
We need you to perform, brother.
We need you to take some, don't be afraid to take some shots, man.
No.
It's like, he's just patched.
No, that was no, that was dead.
That was the East Coast grind.
You sit there, pick up full court, take charges,
run back and forth, the corner to the corner.
You don't have to do this.
You got the purple and gold on, brother.
You want to him to try to score?
Take some shots.
You got to take some shot.
He didn't take a shot yesterday.
He don't need to take a shot.
Yes.
You got to make it easy, man.
You got to make it easy.
Gary Butler, that's his thing.
Not in this era.
Jared Bullard.
You just back.
35 ball on all the guards.
What's cooking the liquor?
Oh, you don't play 2K.
I wouldn't shoot with Marcus.
He's a straight 2K player that just sit there and play defense.
Like, people really be.
People really be doing those builds.
I'm gonna just go out here and just play defense all day,
run up and down.
That's what you need.
No, no, man.
We're trying to win a game, man.
I need you out there running up and down.
Everybody didn't do something.
Nah.
Two K-play.
Defense is crazy.
Before we move on, just curious, as our resident expert
on all things being a corner boy,
what's it like making that shift in embracing the lifestyle
of a corner boy?
Oh, man.
He's making a shift.
Yeah, it's tough.
Huh?
A slagy question.
No, it's harder for us all-stars, because they can't, they can't take it.
That's why this might be LeBron last year, because it's hard sitting in that corner just
waiting for the ball.
You all think this gonna be his last year?
Yeah, I think, I don't know.
Like that's a real thought?
I think so.
Not a chance.
What?
He can't be a corner than a fath, it's hard.
After this year, you got two more years, man.
Oh, you get lonely over there in that corner.
No, he's going to get the ball a little bit tired.
The life of a corner boy.
Only when Luke will go out, but it ain't the same.
He ain't used to that.
Y'all can't take that shit.
So let's shift focus to LeBron.
LeBron expected to miss the next three to four weeks
while dealing with the Skyatikas in his right side.
The Skyatikas is my auntie calls it.
Will miss the first season opener in his record 23 season.
NBA career will likely be sidelined for Elisa Laker's first ten games.
Yeah, about a mama now.
We'll see you after the birthday.
Yeah, that's, you know, I don't want to go.
You know, yeah.
The New Year.
It's a new year.
Three to four weeks in Lakers talking.
You might not see LeBrontoe 2027, just, you know, we're still waiting to see what we think of none at.
But missing his first season opener in his career, a period of 22 straight, we'll miss this one.
Second team all-N-Ba last season, top six in MVP voting on an expiring contract for the first time in his career, but does hold some leverage with the no-trade clause.
after I'm into the final year of his deal.
But after he opted in, his agent
Rich Paul
had a message that Brian wanted to let it be known.
He still wants to be on a winning team
and will be monitoring the Lakers
and evaluating what's best for him
at this stage of his career.
That was a real quote.
That wasn't a fake quote.
That was for Rich Paul.
That's what he told.
But that was after he opted in back in the summer.
I think it's been,
it's reemerged on social media.
We're monitoring.
That's what he means.
But he did say, we understand.
There's no time lines.
There's the Luca time.
line, obviously, for the future, but what about the
win now timeline? Well, that wasn't a centelle,
that was a central. That was central.
Jesus.
Like a...
Through Rich Paul, Clutchport, Steve. Like a nosy
name of picking out the window.
I mean, since you knickers over there, doing.
All right, they ain't doing nothing yet.
So, I mean, we got to be honest.
It's hard to not notice the tension
there, obviously. Took Luca to the
Backstreet Boys concert. Did not take
LeBron to usher Brony, not at the
Backstree Boys concert. LeBron
wasn't either.
Hold on, what?
He took the team to the Backstreet Board.
After Lucas signed his extension, the Lakers took Lippon.
And Ronnie didn't go?
Bronte was unavailable.
He had a prior commitment.
NBA Youngboy.
Prior commitment.
He was an NBA Youngboy concert.
And I wanted that way.
Tell me why.
Why your bingers couldn't show up?
Tell me why.
Prior commitment.
Tell me why.
He was with KJ. Jr., but it was with KJ. Jr., but a delightless.
I see him in here.
Was there in spirit?
It was a real, yeah, N-Wise.
So it seems like, but Luke and LeBron been thrust into this situation.
Luke has a tremendous amount of respect for LeBron, obviously,
but the Lakers more or less.
Snatched the Key said, here you go, Luke.
He does.
He rose with LeBron.
So how do you see the Luca LeBron partnership playing out this season?
It's however easy LeBron was.
to make it because at this point he's the one on the outside right he's 41 right the fact that
you're still playing this long is you know we you know we do have to give it up to you but at the end
of the day you got one two three more years so it's it's his team and you got a feeling where
you're getting so i mean if you want to make it hard cool but at the end of the day he's still
going to be here right then no matter how you look at it
Luca is going to be here.
We know you're not.
In the next three years, you're going to be retired.
So if you want to make it easy and let's try to win
or you can be disgruntled and say,
hey, man, I don't like the way I don't think we can win,
give me a trade, trade out.
Either way, there's going to be 77 is going to be in that purple and gold.
And that's just the facts of it.
And, you know, we would love to see them try to win together.
And, you know, if he's going to try to win that next championship that he's searching for,
if he's searching for, you know, having someone like Luca will make it easier for him.
Because you have somebody who is flirting with a triple double when he plays.
It's like he is you with a better skill set of scoring and passing the ball.
Right?
He doesn't have the athleticism of LeBron Jane,
but it's two LeBron Jameses.
It's a very athletic one and a very skilled one.
So you're putting them both together, like, play off of each other
and actually go try to win, right?
We didn't have all the pieces right now,
but you stay one more year, hey, maybe we can get one next year.
Right?
And the fact that he didn't take a pay cut
and then we'd look at the free agency this year,
eh, I wouldn't have took a pay cut.
Why a decision?
There was nobody.
There was nobody.
There was nobody here to pay.
You think he could handle not having that power no more, though.
For having that power and being able to leverage anything you want over your whole career and now just cut off like that.
I mean, that's tough.
This should mean.
It should, but can you handle that?
But can you handle that?
But Mr. B., where can he go?
Los Angeles Lakers.
You don't run this?
Where can he go, sir?
No tradecloth.
Like, mentally for him.
Yeah, but you don't run the Lakers, though.
This is the whole game.
He did?
He did.
He ran what?
He did run the Lakers now.
He did.
Man, listen, if he don't want to be here, listen, we can, we can, yeah, you can go?
I'm not saying, I'm just saying you think can't he handle that, not having the power that he always had.
I don't think the Lakers care if he can.
The thing is, do you want to be here or not?
Like, at this point, because, like he said, 77 going to be here.
So let us know what you're going to do, bro.
That's, that's, that's, that's LeBron.
I don't know.
That's tough.
Being a superstar for something like that.
I mean, that's going to say, it's all.
It's on it.
It's on him.
That's on him.
Does he if he wants to?
I mean, they did the same thing.
Right now, it don't look like he can handle it.
They did the same shit to Russ.
No, he's not.
Russ is...
He's putting the cars that's dealt.
That's all his way.
Do your gentlemen think the Brown falls in line?
How does this end?
I just, I'm a big believer of keeping it a buck.
You know what I'm saying?
Keeping the trail.
Niggas in the way.
They need to move around.
Holding shit up.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, a lot of things could have happened.
Like, let's just be honest.
When LeBron is locked in, he makes the runs.
He takes his team to the next level.
When he's locked in, he don't look locked in at all this summer.
Even when he was with AD, him and AD were locked in.
For at least three years, they were locked in.
They still didn't have pieces that could take them where they wanted to go.
But we knew when they, them two guys got on the floor together,
the Lakers could make a run, whether it was going to third or going to fifth or six
or even getting out of the play in.
We knew that the Lakers with LeBron locked in, we going to do this.
Not being ready for the season, opener, not being locked in with Luca.
DeAndre Aiton comes in, whether you're locked in with Austin Reeves or not,
like the team will have no cohesiveness right now.
You were more locked in with JJ when he wasn't the fucking coach, when you was on the podcast,
then you are now that he is the coach and trying to figure out why JJ is saying,
man, I got to accept guys where they are.
You know, I can't expect guys to come in and have the Kobe mindset.
Is that what Jay J.J. says?
I don't know.
I just heard it through the great vibes, getting DMs.
And I'm just like, yeah, it makes sense.
But you can't take away when Brian is locked in what the fuck can happen and what kind of
of impact he has on the game. I just think at this time it's just about everything else
but winning. And for the Los Angeles Lakers to make a real run at championship aspirations
with Alucadontage who has been to the finals, who got a little taste of what it feels like
to be there and get close to the championship with Kyrie Irvin, to not do it with
LeBron James to come back and say, all right, let's run it back.
Let's see if we can get closer this time.
And for them not to have a cohesive union in chemistry right now,
like I have sciatica.
So I know what that shit feel like.
That shit ain't no fucking joke.
But it looked like a goddamn joke to me.
You had that psychology?
The sciatica.
He took psychology.
He took psychology.
I took psychology.
I took psychology.
The sciatica.
Oh, ayahuasca?
Ayahuasca.
Yeah, what did you ask?
Ayahuasca.
What is it, though?
What is it?
It's a nerve dentia.
Thiatica?
Aysocatic.
Atirwanda.
Hotel Rwanda?
You said anything.
The sciatica.
Asiaticus?
Catechis.
Is it inflammation of sciatine nerve?
No, what?
It's nerve damage?
It's a nerve inflammation.
It can go from your neck all the way down to you.
Yeah, yeah.
That shit hurt.
That shit hurt.
I swear I had that shit.
I put you down.
All shit, everything didn't go numb, you know what I'm saying?
But that was a whole issue.
If he locked in, he'll be going.
Yeah, that was syphilis.
That's what they said.
They said.
They said that.
They said that.
Yeah, you said.
If I didn't get it treated, it would turn it to be a psychologist.
I didn't get it treated so it turned it.
Yeah.
Oh shit.
Turn into psychology.
It was mental.
I was a mental thing.
Oh, shit.
I know what you had.
Because you know that.
You know that one.
I gave it to him.
That was from Charlotte.
That was old girl.
Old girl and Charlotte better.
She's.
Like you do, but,
but, Shod, you said you don't think LeBron's locked in.
We asked the chat, is LeBron locked in?
Fifty-eight percent of the chat agrees you.
He says, no.
Let's shift it this side.
Do you guys feel like LeBron's locked in?
Look, he's playing golf.
He's still getting his work in.
I don't think he can control.
whether he gets a sciatica or not.
Listen, I mean, you got somebody who's on his 20-30 or playing when he's playing.
Damn, let him be.
I mean, I can't challenge, you know, if he's locked in or not locked in.
I can't, you know, I can't, you know, give you a professional answer, you know, about a year 23, right?
He's approached this game.
All right.
As one of the greats, he's done played as one of the greats.
And, you know, we watched them, you know, dominate from the beginning of season,
end of the season through Olympics.
Like, we watch his work, work out.
Like, we've seen him golfing the rain.
So we know when he is about his business, he's about his business.
So my only concern about all of it is, is there was something Aiton said when they asked,
you know, how you guys coming together.
And he's basically said that we ain't.
We ain't been together.
At all.
like wait like wait what do you mean like that together y'all haven't ran no nothing together as a unit
that that's the one thing that says aye man okay we're playing games without lebron or looker he's
yeah so he hasn't like so he hasn't got to work with neither of these guys to understand timing
understand anything and man you're not you're not going to win a championship you know going
into training camp you're going all the way to preseason and you ain't played with the big three
or the big four that's not that i'm sorry
you ain't winning like that right um so you know that's the only thing that concern me is like
all right man like winning the championship for the group ain't ain't serious at this moment
in time so you don't feel like the lakers really have a championship as for it no no you ain't
practice yet but as a group and and you and you got you got your injury so you ain't going to be
around a team you know 10 15 games to the season to win a I mean like when do y'all get to play
As a leader, when do we get to know each other?
As a leader, though, when do we get to know each other?
You can be there.
You can be there, though.
As a leader, you can actually be there.
Not practicing, but just being that guy.
What do you locked in if the LeBron look like?
Do anybody know that?
Miami Heat.
I mean, whatever, I mean.
But he was still out doing.
No, what I'm saying is, when they was in Miami Heat,
they were together as a unit, though.
They were together as a group.
All the TikTok challenges in Miami?
No, but I'm saying there was a group.
They wasn't having that, man.
They went to lunch.
They went to dinner together.
They went to movies together.
LeBron makes you do that.
He makes you be a team.
But so the fact that these guys
have to practice together, though.
Like, come on, look, think about where we are.
I know, but they haven't been practicing together.
But they haven't practiced.
That's the only time you do it is summertime.
Wherever he had, playing in the
lead, losing weight, locked in.
LeBron 40 is something.
He's out here trying to figure out
if he's going to be a Laker or somewhere.
Yeah, but that's what I'm saying.
But we're in October.
But he's still LeBron.
No, LeBron is LeBron.
We're talking about a team thing.
So, like, let's imagine me and you on the same team.
And me and you never worked out yet.
I don't know what you do.
I don't know what you like, right?
That's going to, it's going to take some time.
So the fact that they're not doing this in training camp or in practice, like,
oh, let me see how you like you like your passes.
How do you like your lives?
Do you like bounce passes?
You know better, bro.
You play with the ones.
I was saying, I was on the, that's what I'm saying.
Steve Kurt told us don't come, don't touch a ball.
Don't come back into a training camp.
But when you got there, when you got there, Nate.
Go on vacation.
Was those guys already locked in with each other when you got there?
Answer that question, though.
They played together, but they didn't see you in the summertime.
But you already know each other.
They know each of the road.
They don't, they ain't even got to do that.
You got new players on this team.
Like, one is a main guy that, does he, is he a pop guy?
how does he roll guy that's what I'm saying it's like you would you would try to get that
before the season but you know we had training camp to learn that's all they don't got training
camp yeah that shit looks like freezing started like that but the timing a actually said in a in a press
conference the timing with lucca I got to figure out you know how to go get the lob because it's
his eyes that show when to go and I ain't really locked in with his how he do it yet so now
you got to learn on the fly now now that's a turnover here a turn over here a turn
Turn over there, now you got to go in the huddle and be like, my bad, I'm still trying to get acclimated to how you throw lives when we could have been doing this shit.
When I got signed, the moment I got signed as a leader, I'm like, let me go get with the big fella, because I'm going to need him.
But you can because you're playing overseas?
You can when you get back.
And now they're doing it now.
He's been back.
He ain't worked out.
Remember, he just got a full month.
But they haven't.
Luke had been recovering from Eurobasket.
hasn't practiced much with the Lakers.
This is what Aiden said,
that he hasn't got an opportunity
to really get out there
with LeBron and Luka yet
to figure it out.
Obviously, Aiden been playing in these games.
They played together for the first time.
Him and Luca played for the first time.
That was Luka's first game back.
So he was really out there like,
I don't know what Lucas did.
It's hard to figure out this come set of screen.
That is not hard.
Enroll?
If you can't do that,
if you can't do that,
picking pop guys,
picking roll guys.
Like, when you went from Marlbury,
to Jake here, right?
Very different players, right?
Like, how long did it take for you to just know
what Jason Kee was going to do?
Like, when he wanted you to spin
just without saying stuff.
Oh, you're just, yeah, look.
Like, there's things, and he got to know
how you spin, how fast this spin is, like,
on this side.
Like, he had to teach, he had to teach you to.
That shit, he was.
No, some of that shit, he was just throwing him off.
Yeah, just do it.
Sometimes he just like, you get, yeah, yeah.
Sometimes you can be standing right in front of him.
He just thought about it really.
Oh, shit.
Expect me to go get it.
Yeah, I was like, oh, shit.
So, but yeah, that's how you got it.
But how many, how many, how many games into the season
before you was, you know what to do?
All you're going to do is just jump.
Yeah, because some of that shit, that motherfucker.
Yeah.
It's so hard to jump.
It's so hard to jump.
You ducking out the way of the ball and shit.
But it was, I'm saying, it took them, it took them a couple.
Remember, they went to the final two years.
Two years, but it took them a couple months to realize,
to realize, oh, this is, if he's seeing an inch, he's throwing.
I got to go get everything.
Because he's used to ballberry just coming down.
I got to wait to figure it out.
Now I run.
Now he's throwing that motherfucker like, and I'm douging out the way or there.
Who is that to?
My bad.
Shit, I'm not used to this.
Yeah, like.
This FedEx first is the next day delivery.
Okay, this same day.
It's that hard to pick and roll and get a rebound.
You shouldn't play a little bit.
That's what I'm saying.
Hey, my finger tell you to come here, you can't understand, come here.
Okay, just get the fuck out the game.
And you can't move towards me and set up the screen, just get the fuck out of the game.
So you can have anybody here.
If you see me throw the ball up and you don't jump and try to get it, get the fuck out the game.
You don't need eight.
If you don't say, if I say get out the way and you don't move, just get out of the game.
It's so easy.
You don't need eight and then.
You can be any.
You can pick any four-five then, right?
Shit, he's had.
Luke had.
That's fuck.
So you don't need.
I'm just saying Luke I'm asking you saying if you just got a roll and just run and dunk then you can put anybody there man
right now you have Jackson Haynes and you have Jackson Hayes and Coloco baby just throw a
just roll we're just catching a roll man you know you need a skill big man play with a guy like that
that can catch the ball and score the ball man not just some head
When I told it in here, what's so, all right, what the fuck he needs to learn from Luca that's so hard?
He didn't even, Norman, I'll look at you.
I'll look at you, you know, to get the ball.
How he's scored?
I'm going to look at you this way and you jump.
How does DeAndre A.
get his point?
I'm going to do this and then your turn to spin.
It ain't so hard to set a goddamn screen, bro.
Let's talk.
Nick, let's talk who.
It is.
How does DeAndre Aiton get his points?
That's, you don't say you don't know.
He's just going to pick him on.
Just say you don't know.
All right, bro.
Say you don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know nothing about.
DeAndre A.
Gets gets his points in the mid post on picking pops.
Picking pops, right?
Picking pops.
So what do you got to do?
If he's rolling.
So what the fuck do you got to do?
If my point is that, if I tell you come here, what are you doing?
I'm popping.
Oh, so you're going to pop without the pitch.
This is what I do.
I don't get it.
All right, so you're going to pop without the pick.
Get the fuck out the game.
Is that called a slip?
Get out the game.
Is it called a slip, Nick?
Get out the game.
I thought we was talking who.
I thought we didn't talk to who.
No, I'm going to complain.
Is it a big and slip?
Do you slip?
Do you slip to pick?
Do we slip the pick?
Do you ever slip the pick?
If you slip any time, you're going to get the fuck out.
Being funny, I get it.
But at some point, we've got to talk who.
And we are.
So, okay.
All right, make it hard.
Is it a pick and pop or not?
You're going to slip every time.
That's what you're telling me.
If I don't set a screen, what is that?
What am I doing?
You're going to slip every time.
If I'm not set a screen, what is it?
You're going to slip every time.
All right.
So what's going to happen when you do that every time?
It's a one-on-one or a switch.
You're with Jackson Hayes.
Nick.
God damn.
You can't make it harder than what it is.
Luca is set, come set to pick and roll.
It ain't no pick.
It's just a switch.
Now I'm going on one-on-one.
That's Luca basketball.
Is it not?
I'm not going to argue with you.
Is it not?
Come on now.
We're here to argue.
Come on.
You know what to argue, too?
Come on, man.
Come on, man.
That's going to be the third one.
I just want to talk hoop, bro.
That's it.
Let's talk who you being funny.
I get it.
Yes, you're not making no sense.
If DeAndre Aiton is a pick and pop player and we don't work on pick and pop.
What?
He's not going to pick.
It's a slip out.
If he's slipping out, nigga, that's a pop.
Yes.
This is what I do because I'm getting my shot here.
I'm a shooter.
I'm a shoot of a big man that should shoot the little mid-range.
and I'm gonna pop, he's just gonna pop, baby.
You're telling me he popping every time.
Bro, you're right.
Okay, I know I'm right.
I'm telling you you right.
No, but you're talking about, oh, just roll to the basket.
Just roll to the basket and no, nigga, that's not what I do.
That's not how I'm effective.
He's going to be with Jackson Hayes.
He's popped, but you don't pick.
I'm just letting you know that.
And Lakers going to be where?
He needs.
Where the Lakers are going to be?
Where the Lakers going to be?
Trash.
Trash.
Trash.
Trash.
Trash.
Trash.
Six or seven.
Like he said, you can put anybody out there to do the shit he's saying.
We ain't talking no who.
Where he can get his 18, 19, what he used to getting.
On a picking pot, let me get this.
Let me get my shot going.
But what's a real expectation for DeAndre ate with this Lakers squad?
I think somewhere in the 14 to 10 range he's average for the last seven seasons.
He need way more than that.
That's why I say him getting in there with Luca finding out what his soft spots,
sweet spots, all the spots he need.
to get him to 18-19
because you're going to need that from him
but if you're not going to cater to that
you're going to give him 12, 14
he ain't going to have shit
y'all going to be trash
y'all going to be looking at him like he's the problem
he's going to be like I ain't get to practice
with you motherfuckers even let you know where I'm good at
right
I just like the pot
no
he right though with Aitin
like if Aitin can
if Aiton can be
the third option
over A.R?
If A.N.
If A. can be the third, I mean, if he can actually be
the third option and A.R.
is the fourth option. We will be
real good.
Real tough. Like, I mean, just think about what I'm saying.
If he's a big, dominant force down there,
like he's catching lobs and they're putting him in the post
and he has that post presence
and he's averaging about 18 and A.R. is average about 17.
That's a good-ass team now
He needs to play like a visa Zubat
Like did last year
But did he do it
He needs to play like a visa Zubok
Last year Zubach
Yes
Okay not the one of the
No last year
Yeah yeah yeah
Look at him
He's averaging those
He is the third option
In order for the Lakers to do anything
This season
DeAndre Aton has to be the third option
You can't rely on three perimeter players
To be your main guys
You need somebody
You can fucking throw the ball to
When you need a bucket
To get teams in a penalty
Along with the penetration
That Luca pits on the defense
And the brunt, you need somebody
Who's a lot up there at the rim
Somebody can throw the ball two on the block
To slow the game down at times
He can do that
He has to be the third option
And when in his career
Has he ever been a lot like that?
I know, but never been alive
Because he had nobody to throw it
He had Chris Paul
No, who?
When he was with the sons.
He was with the sons.
Chris Paul is Bob City.
But D. Book's the number one, it's not the same.
That wasn't the same live city.
He's where he averaged 18 and 9.
He averaged 18 and 9 with that team.
That's what I'm saying.
He knew how to get him where it's a different animal though.
What I'm saying is he ain't never been a live threat.
DeAndre Aiton never been the guy to go to get the live.
He's always been like a Lamarcus Aldridge.
He's been the guy.
Come over here.
Let me get my little.
shit off. This is where my sweet spot is not being a tough guy.
But then I've been allowed to have six points to his average.
It would if that was his game.
But that is his game. The difference is. He has to do both. He's not
Mao's turn. He's not Brooke Lopez. Right? He's not
Carl Anthony Towns. He's not those guys, right?
He's more athletic than those guys. Yes. For sure.
So therefore, if you put, what is saying, if you put him in a situation
to where you having conversations with him, but if he had the time to work with those guys,
in the preseason to be able to mix it up practice the live practice the midi pop to 1617 where he wants to catch it at right yes yeah but so he can but it's a different animal with lucre than chris paul is what i'm saying right
he can get back to that the 18 19 to night and he's the third option at being an average being your little pick and pop you can 12 13 points you've been a lot that that's 6 to 8 more yeah getting to the line because you're
shoot a decent clip from the line so now you're at the 19 20 points game now you're the third
option and I think it works how we get there if we ain't practicing together it's conversations
man at time because they're on the floor together if they're on the floor together all you can do is talk
it out and over time let it naturally progress but you've got to talk these situations out when
Jackson Hayes in the game when Koloko is in the game or when the other guys in the game with
them you so when you threw that to him so what did you see it's those things that you have to do
you're not spending the time together.
The difference is, Jackson Hayes hasn't established himself to do nothing else but go to the fucking rim and get the line.
That's all we know.
Luca knows that.
You're going to go catch this shit, bro.
When I get deep into the pace, boom, I'm going to throw it to you because this is all you know.
But now we got DeAndre Aiton, who has more to his game than just going to go get the fucking live.
He's thinking, DeAndre's thinking, hey, I'm going to read the floor.
I can get this little elbow.
I can get in the little mid-range post over here to get out of his way and not just be that thread now
That's the communication. We got to go. It's like hey look at what point
Should I roll at what point? Should I go?
I'm over here in my sweet spot waiting to get out of your way. It's almost like I'm in the doghouse
Where I know I can hit this Luke lonely boom little sweet about this man
But if I'm not communicating that with Luca
Luca going in there expecting the shit the Jackson Hayes is doing he
He's like, bro, go to the fucking John.
Go to the John.
Look, man, Luke are smart.
Like, look, Luke is smart.
First of all, Luke is going to make him better.
There's two things that you cannot do.
You cannot mention the Charlotte Hornets and Luke Longley in the same day.
Why?
That's bad hoot.
Oh, Luke Longley.
That's a bad hoot.
Oh, okay.
We talk a different hoop then.
No, we can't show Luke's only respect.
He gives him a reason about a hundred-down-old.
So, like, even when he was with Chris Paul, remember, Chris Paul's six.
six foot trying to throw a lob.
Lucas, all of them, you're 6'10.
So when he gets into there,
usually he's taller than everybody else.
So you are, once Luca hits the paint,
your big man is activated.
He has forced to try to challenge that shot.
That's where he's going to get a lot of,
he's going to get a lot of, he's going to get a lot of handoff.
There's going to be a lot of this, for sure.
That's spacing, ain't it?
Isn't that spacing?
No, it's just reading the play.
He's reading the play.
So he's going to go to the,
so what your point is,
so I hear it was, so,
You're saying his comfortable ability is the areas that Anthony Davis plays.
Yes.
Right?
Yeah.
And what do we say about Anthony Davis, Porzingis play a little soft sometimes?
But they play in them areas and they're not going to deviate from that at times.
And we think it's a detriment, right?
To the team and to what they try to do as far as winning.
You got to be able to do more.
If he's hell bent on just staying in that pick and pop area, that's not going to work.
If the more Luca penetrates, you have to be on line with him for those,
that you're saying the fake the shot the this the done to the lie yeah so it's all of
those things and not just being a fucking robot yeah right not being a robot like shit i just
want the ball here right right i'm not moving if you don't throw it then it's like come on
dude like but luca IQ if you're going to be able to put him in positions to where he's
going to get easy but he's not even without even knowing he just if he was if he was expecting him
he don't see him there, hey, when I go this way, I need you to, so it's those conversations
or just sitting them down.
I don't, like I said, I've never been around there.
I don't know if he can process film or words or action, whatever it is.
I'm saying, because everybody's different when they come to this, right?
I didn't play with some guys that was hell of athletes, but you can't show them, you can't walk,
you got to show them, like, you can't show them on film, you got to actually go on the floor,
listen, put his body here, put another person here, you can't, ain't no cones and talking to,
No, they need to ask for fucking people out there.
They can see where they need to go, where they need, like, you need to think for them.
And they can help you, but you got to think for them.
I don't know if that's DeAndre Aden, if not, but we shall see how this transpires.
That's what I'm saying.
If he was the fourth option, like we was talking about, he would be that guy that we don't
care about what you're comfortable with.
You get your shit off the glass, big fella.
But y'all saying, if he can be the third option, the Lakers can make a move,
that means we got to find out what to do to get him.
him in his comfort zone during the game, whether it's in the first quarter, the third quarter,
hey, we're going to DeAndre, J.J. draw some shit up, small little picking pot for DeAndre
for three straight possessions where he can catch you or catch and make a move, post up,
whatever. Those sweet spots are going to help him get comfortable with doing all the other
shit, whether it's rolling and going to get the lob, whether it's getting in the dunk or going
underneath. All of those small things come
with being comfortable and communicating
that, hey, bro, we actually want you to be
the third option. We want to get you involved.
But you got Austin Reeves
trying to get an extension
this season, put up 20 pieces
in each of the Lakers first three preseason games. I'm just
saying he's still going to get his money.
But I'm trying to get these buckets. It might look different if he's
not the third score, but he's
proven enough to where
they know what he can be. I'm saying
he's probably thinking in his head, I'm trying to show you all
the second option. I hear you, but
yeah, that's
yeah. I mean, it's
what you're thinking. What's what's going to happen.
It's right out of here. Come out here
with that bull shit, hey.
But it's something with all, Bron, he's going to have to be
the second option. Yeah, until
Brian come back. Like he's one, it's like he has to
go from two to four. It's
one of those. So he's the one who needs to make the sacrifice?
No, no, he has to step up
right now.
And then once we're good. If we want to be good,
if Aiton don't step up, they'll say,
I want to be the third option, let's do this, and he takes a back seat and he just out there,
then we're not going to be as strong.
He needs to be very dominant down there.
And because you have Luca, you have AR who knows how to get fouls, right?
You got foul baiters.
And then added that with him down there, he shoots 87% for the frito line.
So shit, that is a big change.
It's a big change.
It's a big point.
Because you look at the clippers, right?
You say Zubop.
Norm Powell.
Norm Powell, AR.
Norm Powell
Kauai go down
Norm Powell go to what
Number two
Number two
Number two
Remember the conversation
We had about going back
From number two
To the number four
Right
So if Zubak has established
Hisself as a dominant number three
I know what I'm gonna get
I'm gonna get my shit off
On number three
James is obviously the number one
Because Kau's out
Kauai come back
This is LeB
LeB
One A, one B.
Now, Zuba, hey, look, you keep doing your thing, but Norm.
This ain't normal no more.
This is, you got the, now.
Now, where's Norm now?
Take your answer to this.
All right.
All right, Norm.
Stop, bitch.
It's hot down there.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
Hey, we, but you were saying,
oh, he's going to start when Kauai comes.
He's going to be the number two when Kauai comes back.
He's going to beat, no.
If he comes back.
ship his ass right we were talking about what was we talking about corner we were talking about it's tough to go back you and exactly that's what we were talking about it's going to happen though you were saying when co-ops come back he's still going to be norm he still going to be no he still going to be no he was trying to be no he was going to be he did not stop his shit he did not stop doing what he was still i'm still me that's why he went to this
Now he can go to be himself in Miami.
Norm, you and your 24.
It's hard, let me beat that number two.
You can go.
You can't go.
I said, it's hard.
I said that.
I'm late.
I don't know.
He is going back to it.
If they ask, Norm, do you count your money?
Do you want to stay or do you want to go?
No, I'm going to go.
I'm almost a all-star.
You're going to tell me, I'm almost an all-star.
You count your money already.
Like, ooh, I get to go to this.
I'm not coming back to this shit.
I get to go back to the east and go be a all-star.
Why I say, you know what, I feel good.
Come on, right.
You got no show job.
We got no-mojo on this thing.
Hey, this guy like us, man.
Hey, it's like the arm to come to the car, right?
You sit in the front seat.
He just opened the door, like, get your ass in the back.
He didn't even say that.
He'll just open and look at you.
You know what that open means.
Yeah, just open the door and just step back and look at you like.
It starts squeaking.
And Norm was like us.
Yeah, this is the old school car with the front seat.
He got the...
Yeah, he got the front seat.
We were starving for four.
We were starving for four games.
Yeah, we're going to serve you all that.
Let's keep this thing moving.
Today's show is sponsored by Rough Greens.
Sometimes in life, if you want to get to the truth, you've got to look at the numbers.
Unfortunately, 50% of all dogs over 10 years old will die of cancer.
The other 40% to 50% will suffer miserably from skin issues or joint problems.
And this is widely attributed to your dog's diet.
These numbers are what inspired Dr. Dennis Black to create rough greens.

All right, well, let's keep it in the Western Conference.
Talk about what's going down in Houston.
So after a second place finished in the Western Conference last season,
but first round exit by Chef Curry and the Warriors,
Rockets made a blockbuster deal before the finals even ended,
landing KD from the Suns in exchange for Jalen Green and Dylan Brooks
in an NBA record, 7-Team Trade.
One of the biggest issues Houston had last season was the lack of a go-to guy
and it bit them in the booty cheeks.
Come playoff time.
Now they've added one of the most prolific bucket getters in NBA history in Durant coming off a season where he averaged 27.6 rebounds, four assists in 62.
He would have made all-NBA if he hit that 65-game threshold.
He had, what, 53, I think what, 53, 42, 84 shooting splits, if I'm not mistaken.
Now they pair him with a young solid core, including All-Star Alpern-Shangoon, all-defense, first-teamon-Mann-Thompson, along with Jamarie Smith, Jr., Stephen Adams.
Doreen Fennie Smith, formerly known as Black-Miles.
Black and Miles.
Formerly known as Black and Miles
did not get to take that name
with him to Houston.
In Clint Capella,
Rockets were dealt with a devastating blow
before the season even started.
Losing starting point guard,
Fred Van Fleet,
to a torn ACL,
likely have a sideline for this season.
But looking at this roster,
this Rocket Squad,
what they have on this roster right now,
Kevin Wayne Durant,
doing his thing,
does Kevin Durant make the Rockets
a legit championship contender
in a tough Western conference?
I mean, I can't say, then, okay, OKC is young, but their starting five wasn't young.
That wasn't a young starting five.
The rest of the bench that wasn't playing was very young players, right?
That made the team look young.
But when you're talking about Caruso, you're talking about Dor.
You're talking about Shia at 26.
You're talking about Harkinstein.
That's an older group, right?
This team is young.
this is a very young team
they play hard
I like them
they listen they can
because of the lineup that
I said I wouldn't have paid
I wouldn't have paid
Fred for
because I would have put
Aeman at the point
here would have been my point coming into the season
so I didn't need to pay him
we got a good deal two for 50
right cool but I didn't need to
I didn't need to pay him because I thought that having this young boy, that's six, seven, six, eight, six.
Wow, I don't know how to a freak of nature coming downhill.
There's no guard, there's no point guard in the league that can stop him from coming in the league.
You can post him up and he's at the basket with that ability.
He's very dangerous and he's very selfish, right?
So I would have put the ball in his hands.
Now you have, damn near everybody else, 611 and above makes for a very dangerous.
very, very, could be unguarable team.
Very tall line.
So when you're talking about what, they had, last night,
they had, what, Katie at the two at one point?
They wrote out with Aymn six, seven, the KD.
Thank you.
Yeah, they have, yeah, they had, yeah, they had,
they had, they had, they had, Katie at the two.
He gonna be just like Ben Simmons.
No.
No, he's just coming down, he'll, he can triple.
Who's guard him?
David Booker all over again,
trying to make somebody a point guard?
But he's not a score.
Yeah, he's not a scorer.
He is a passer.
He is like Ben Simmons.
Yeah, he's literally, he's a past, like,
He's going to try to get in there and pass the ball.
So you have KD after 2, you got, yes, Nguyen, Boone, you got-Barrie Smith and, I think, Stephen Adlerc.
He played point-garten.
Yeah, he played.
So this is not his first year, like, trying not to be point-gall.
What happened to Shepard?
I'm about saying, so, they just wait for him.
They come in a past.
Yeah, they messed up with that.
That was a horrible.
That was a horrible.
They seem to think he's going to step up.
No, what I'm saying.
It was a hell's a shooter.
It was a horrible pick by them with everything they had.
Right, you already, you have that type of guy already that he wasn't playing.
What was the other kid, the disgruntled kid that was there?
Dylan Brooks.
No, no, no, no, the score, the real score.
Camp.
Cam.
Whitmore?
Yeah, you're talking about you already have that.
You know what I mean?
A dude that can just get flat out bucket.
So we'll see how they use him.
He'll be a backup, but their lineup is so big.
They're going to, it's going to be crazy.
They're going to look like the USA.
the China team.
Can we're with the Wizards now.
During the Olympics,
they're going to look like the China team
during the Olympics.
Everybody, you know,
6-11 and above on the court.
Damn.
So let's shift at this side.
Obviously, Kevin Durant,
big pickup.
We talked about the Rockets problem last season,
especially in the playoffs,
not having a go-to guy.
Jalen Green obviously left much
to be desired in that first-round series.
Stroget at a time,
I think, had one good game in that series.
But how much has KD move the needle
for this Rocket Squad
in the tough Western Conference this season?
No, he's the only,
In my opinion, he's the only plug-in-play player in the NBA.
So you put him in any situation,
they're going to have a chance if they already had something in the cupboard already,
which Houston did.
Alpign San Goun is going to be the first option.
They're going to play through him.
Willing passer.
So I think keeping that formula and letting KD be who he is,
which is that efficient player,
where you could,
continuously run your cuts and have Sangoon make all the plays and pass him be your leading
assist guy with Fred being out.
So I think it doesn't hurt you, Fred being out, because he's not your primary ball handler.
You get a bigger team on the floor.
So, yeah, I like Houston's chances with the addition of Kevin Durant, of course.
But, no, I like what they did.
And KD is going to bring a different energy and winning lens to that locker room,
which I think Ami Oka can utilize having another voice, another veteran voice,
another winning voice in that locker room, I think can go a long way.
They also obviously have a relationship from their time with the Nets together.
So another thing, so they got Stephen Adams and Kekapela, like.
Jeff Green too.
Coming off the bench.
I mean, you remember Sanguong they had them at the five.
Four and five, they got them long four.
I mean, their lineup is great.
I mean, the possibility of this lineup is just real crazy.
Got Tari Easton Steele, they got Jayshon and Tate Steele.
Yeah, Easton had 20 last night.
Easton, Jabari Smith, Tate off the bench.
He's a great coach.
Shree Shepherd off the bench.
He's a game.
I'm glad to play.
Clint Capella.
Yeah.
Defing.
Coming in.
Yeah.
Black and mild.
He'll be getting them guys.
Black him out.
He might be the odd one out.
He might be the odd one out.
They paid him, though.
Now, they're probably using when they put Sangoon at four.
When they put Sangoon at the five, when they put Sanguon at the five, they'll put him in at the four.
And they have all Shush team.
Black and Brown.
As I said, like, when you're talking about a mobile team, that's a crazy team.
You can put the ball in Jay Sean Tate's hand, too.
He makes plays.
Yep.
He's a willing pass.
Like, yeah, so.
So, do you believe in this Rocket Squad?
squad I don't know now that I'm looking um because they lose Brooks green
Whitmore you looking at bringing KD in and I'm thinking that Fred was going
to be the one person that was going to allow the action that actually happened in
Golden State which was point guard KD action Steph KV picking roles like how do you
You guard this, you're going to switch it.
Whatever you do, somebody going to hit.
Fred can hit this shot, high percentage.
Losing him loses that action.
So now you've got to depend on a bunch of rim runners, slashes.
So now the whole game plan changes around that one player being able to change an action on a pick and roll, pick and slip, pick and mismatch.
Now you got Aiman Thompson running that with KD.
if you don't bring Reed Shepard in and run that
you don't have a viable shooter
that's going to be running this action
so now if we're going through Sangoon
and let's say Sangoon is at the four
Stephen Adams at the five
got another big foot motherfucker running around
slow in the dunker just in the way
of the rim runners and the slashers
so to me they got a lot of
trying to figure out how to get a KD off
without
fucking up the cohesion
of the offense, whatever that offense looks like at this point because you've had to change
the offense if you don't go through Sangoon and your actions aren't to get K.D. to open
shot. So if you're not getting KD. to open shot and you don't have a Jalen Green or a Dillen
Brooks that can space the floor and hit these shots, now what you got?
Inconsistency.
Inconsistency.
With Jalen Green and Dylan Brooks.
But you got it now with the guys that can't give you 20. You can't give you 20 again.
Yeah, you can.
Who?
Who's giving you 20 a game?
They can, the capability.
You know what I'm saying?
Where's the capability?
What do you mean?
So Jalen Green, Dylan Brooks were your second and third.
Then you have friends.
You ain't beat nobody, Dylan Brooks, your third option.
They were number two in the West.
What you mean?
They were beating people.
They were beating people, though.
And lost to a lesson.
They were number two.
Lost to a seven seat.
With y'all, I get it.
I argue.
No, this is where they.
This is a facts.
That's the facts.
This is where they were, though.
They were where?
They were number two.
What's the fact?
Is that the fact?
Beat by 17.
Fact number two.
So they were doing what they needed to do to be number two with the formula they had.
Inject KD to this formula with a Fred, without a dealing, without a jailing.
It's like, losing Fred.
It hurts a lot because now you don't have the options.
You don't got the firepower.
You're looking at that part of it.
That's a good part, right?
You're picking roll.
you got a pop you fred is small and he can shoot right the difference is is you have amen
let's say they're playing golden slit again who is step garden yes yeah we take him to the post
right yeah now you're forced to double now that pick and roll again with that guy if you don't
if you don't switch it he's going downhill at the ramp right if you're going under he is not that's
west you're going we got help we got help we got help you're not going on
got no, you're going under.
Yeah, he does.
You're crazy as hell.
He will.
You're going under, you're going, because they had, there was a three on him now.
There was a three on him before.
Now there's a point guard on him now.
Yeah, moving him is a smart.
Are you not realizing, there was a three, then he was posting up.
Now you're putting a point guard on him, which he's going to post up the whole time.
Now that pick and roll comes.
If you switch it, who is the point guard switching on?
Kevin Durant.
It becomes a different pick and roll.
I think it would be a mistake started Stephen Adams at the 5.
I think Sangoon is just like anything.
You know how they start off.
You're going to start off big.
Yeah, but I think it's a mistake.
You're playing through him.
Play the first six minutes.
I just, yeah, I get it, man.
You can sub him for him, let him spell, let him spell Sangoon.
Hey, man, they had 21, a quick 21 last time.
You can't stop him going down here.
I'm rolling with his stuff.
They finally got that for sure score, somebody that they could put the ball in the hands and go get them a bucket.
Now they just stayed defensively like they were last year, they're going to be fine.
He's like a more athletic Westbrook coming down hill that actually knows how to move.
Like, he's one of those.
So that pick and roll coming in.
He can turn, if he turns the corner, I mean, you got Sangoon somewhere, you got Jabari somewhere, you got, what's the name, Stephen Adams ducked down.
Like, you, like, it's going to be different.
It's going to be hard to guard that.
If Jabari and Ethan can update shooting percentages.
We had a lot of tools, though.
It'll be dope.
They can update shooting percentages.
Eason and Jabari.
on that driving kick.
I'm still thinking that, like Nick said,
if we see that
Thompson is going to be doing this mismatchy shit
where he's a big guard
and we got to adjust to him.
Bro, the whole league going to adjust to that.
Like, are they playing him at the point?
We're going under.
He's a big Rondo.
He's a big Ray John Rondo.
So we're going to go under this motherfucker.
And if you think about comparing him to Westbrook,
he's more chaotic.
Russ was understood.
of mid-range.
I could come down, ah, and I had that.
Second year?
And then you're looking at him.
He'll turn it over more, but he's still going to make the right play.
He's smart enough to make the right play.
But think about it.
You got Adams in the dunker.
You got saying going over here.
You don't have the options that you were thinking.
I can't trust him.
You're talking about posting up.
Yeah.
You didn't see him last.
Everybody on that?
It's a second year.
Yeah, that's changing your offense.
You didn't see him last night?
But that's changing your offense.
Last night.
They got a small ass.
guards right to the post. You were forced to
double. Like he's too athletic
nothing. And then he's just
going to jump. He's a dog. He's a
rim guy. Like him, but the second
he... And they got a hell of a coach over there, man.
That's going to be a successful situation, man.
They're going to use... They're going to make
you guard them. And listen,
one thing for sure, he's old school.
Until you make a decision
and a change, he is going to throw that bitch
down every single time.
That's going to be a lot of...
They're just going to keep running it.
He's going to keep you. Like, if you ain't going to
I'm going to do nothing.
He's going to be a right.
I'm going to make you adjust.
I'm going to make you adjust to this man.
Then you still got this man.
That's what I'm saying.
He's not a guaranteeing that.
He's not a guaranteeing.
He's got to be guaranteed bucket.
He's getting to play one-on-one because you can't help on Kevin Durant.
Think about all the, let's what I said.
Think about everybody who has to guard him at the one.
That means Brunson is going down there.
Like he's putting Brunson in the post.
He's putting Garland in the post.
Like he's putting all these guards in the post.
You're forced to double.
But, nah, we're not.
Not doubling that.
You're not doubling them.
We're not doubling.
You're not doing that.
Play this straight up.
Man, we got to play this straight up.
He went to the free throw line nine times yesterday.
In 20 minutes.
He's going to have a crazy year.
20 minutes, tab 21 and 20 minutes.
Yeah.
Nine free throws.
That takes away from the ultimate game.
You know what?
This is the game plan over here.
Because you can.
They win?
They won that game.
You don't take away from the game plan.
I mean, any guy.
Where you think it take away from that goal?
Because he didn't get to take away from that game.
I don't, we're talking about the pre-130.
130 to 128, yeah.
I mean, both teams played good, but I see Alvarado did back down from that fucking match up.
He wasn't saying come double this.
He's saying, I got this.
Yep, yeah.
I got this.
All game.
He was five for eight, 21 points.
Nine free throw.
But what did he do?
He got kicked out the game?
No, wow.
It was the fight, right?
Yeah, we're going to show it in a second.
If you look at that situation, all you got to do, because he's erratic.
What are you talking about?
He's erratic.
No, he's not.
We're talking about basketball.
Yes, he are.
So that was a basketball play that he got kicked out on.
He didn't get kicked out.
He got a flavor one.
He got staying in the game.
So, yeah, I mean, he took him back down.
No, I'm not.
I'm looking at the play.
The play happened, and this is a point guard that's five inches short of him.
Yeah, can we show that point?
We head up.
We're not.
Listen, mention, name another point guard.
That's his fights here.
Let's take them.
And that's on the box out.
Colin Sexton.
That's on a box out.
Davian Mitchell.
But that's on the box out.
Don't matter.
What are you talking about?
We're talking about a post up here.
Yeah, it's on the box.
It's still a little guard.
That's a box out.
It's still a little guard.
That's a box out or a post up.
Come on, come on, Nick.
Come on, Nick.
There ain't no point guard going to be scared.
What the point guard do?
He got to drag him down.
Ain't a point guard going to be scared.
Get your ass down.
You're in your pony tail.
You saw you got motherfucking mushed.
But I do like, I do like...
For what it's worth, both men did, they did tap up and hug after the game.
Take that challenge.
Fear's competitors.
It don't matter.
The challenge, you're not taking the challenge.
The challenge is he took nine free throws, nine for nine.
He had 21.
Five for eight.
Ibarado did not foul out how many fouls that Ivarado had.
In 20 minutes.
Does he start on him?
In 20 minutes, he was crazy.
He had 20 minutes.
We had Marcus Smart for 20 minutes.
Got zero.
That's Mark is Mark and smart.
Stop.
When you come from the Wizards, you know.
That man looked like baby Jesus over there compared to what we got.
Come on, man.
He's in the city now, man.
Come on, he's in the city now.
Oh, God.
All right.
It's the first guy.
You could have took a shot of stuff.
It's not a shot.
Hey, three, two, one, take the shot of stuff.
I mean, out there for 20.
Got 20% up and down, man.
You gotta know what type of mindset you got not want to shoot in the game?
You gotta be really crazy.
Just to play basketball
Just running up and up and down
Have you ever
You ever got that part?
Just happy
Just happy
Like just
You know how sick you gotta be
The Nassie shoot
Oh my god
The Nassie came down
Sven Lay
They ain't called a lot
They ain't called a lot
We are back to Houston
We are back ladies gentlemen

I mean I mean they're gonna be a mass
I mean, they're going to be a matchup, they're going to be a match of a problem, like, a match
a problem with an old school coach.
Now, that's the thing, it's a matcher problem with the old school coach that comes from
matchup problems.
They built for the playoffs.
They built for the playoffs.
There'll be a bunch of tall people in the way right now.
Yeah, they build, but they're going to have a problem with them.
They've been, yeah.
Minnesota.
Like, they're going to be dangerous in the playoffs.
You're going to have to change your lot.
You're going to have to change your lineup so much just to try to play with them.
If they make the play.
They got Kevin Durant at the show.
shooting guard, brother. They got a full-time score. That's all he do is. At the shooting guard.
That means he's, that means he's ISO in the whole goddamn game. Yeah, man, playoff in two years.
So we asked the chat, does Kevin Durrett make the Rock is legit championship contender?
71% of the chat says yes that he does. Let's talk a little bit more about Katie. So
he's winning back-to-back finals, finals MVP's with the words, Katie's failed to replicate that level of success in his last two stops with the Nets and Sons.
So a question for the couch. We'll start with you, Mr. B.
How much pressure is on KD in his first season with the Rockets?
I mean, I think with Katie being a legit superstar, I mean, anywhere he goes, his pressure.
I think the pressure has always been since when he went to the Warriors,
and then he took his challenge to Brooklyn and then Phoenix.
But I think this year, you know, I think he would just be able to play
and just concentrate on basketball because he does have a coach that does like to speak up for his players.
And, you know, so I think, you know, with that aspect,
and then coming to a team that was number two last year,
You know, like Kenyon said, he's just a fit-in plug.
So anywhere he goes, he just fits right in.
So I think he'll be fine.
I think he'll be good this year.
Cane, is Kayee have any pressure on him with this Rocket Squad
based on how his career has panned out in post-Warriors era?
Pressure, yeah, he just want to win, man.
I don't know if there's added pressure than has already been there.
So you used a word that I was reading your little teleprompter
They're not supposed to know that Kane.
That's supposed to be off the dome.
You know you're not going to teleprone.
I read that eighth grade level.
You ain't going to go, what?
From you and your computer all for three seasons
to looking right in the camera.
So you say,
headers as usual, ladies, but do not believe then this is all in the dump.
So he has failed to replicate, right?
So you say he has failed to replicate his level.
I mean, there was expensive.
My thing is why the situation hadn't failed KD.
KD. That's fair.
Because he has been a staple that's been consistent in the net stop, right?
Phoenix stop. He's been the staple of that. I think the situations have failed him to help him replicate his success that he's had.
Because he's not going to where thinking that I'm trying to go win. I'm trying to do what I did over there.
Because I know how to win now. I'm trying to go take these winning ways over here. And I'm
still me. I'm still showing up. I'm still
one of, if not the best
five players in NBA.
So I think the situations have
failed him and he's always showing up
ready to go, ready to do it
his part. I think the
pieces and everything's, the circumstances,
injuries, COVID,
this, that, as everything
has gotten away of that.
He has been that. So the pressure
has always, it ain't changed
for him because he's always risen to the
occasion. No matter what the pressure
He shows Arcade, he shows up.
He does his job.
He shows up every single time.
Everybody else can't say that.
Cemetery, Larry.
Hot take, karma.
I think that the karma from the ultimate decision to leave Russ and them boys to go up there to Golden State,
ever since he won them two championships, there has been some type of injury that stopped his
momentum. When it comes down to Brooklyn, there was an injury, comes down to Phoenix, there
was injuries. Now as soon as he get there to Houston, first thing happened, injury. All
detrimental pieces too. These are not just a couple good dudes on the roster. He like how he said,
man, who I'm throwing it to, Doran Finney Smith? Right? It did reference that. So when you look
at everything from the Golden State back to back, the pieces that he needed to, it
duplicate that championship
swag, that championship environment
has been pieces that have went down. It's like
damn, if we don't lose
this piece, we're there.
If I don't have my foot on the line,
we're there. If
Bill and Bill can get on the same
page and Bill can stay healthy,
we're there.
So the pressure is
extremely high for
him here. Extremely
high. And there ain't
no more excuses.
So why you can't get it done?
Because this team was number two.
So they've already proven the whole swag to get them there.
They already had less pieces and less, no all-stars.
I don't think no all-stars on that team.
So you got a Hall of Famer coming in.
Chang'un, an All-Star last.
He was an All-Star.
Okay.
So you got a Hall of Famer coming in with pedigree, championship swag, the whole nine.
He got pressure on him.
So basically, you shifted Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks,
and replaced them with Kevin Durant.
Yeah, so if they get past the first round this year, is that a, is that a, is that a, is that good?
Is that enough to call it a successful season, you think?
Yeah.
Yeah, right?
They didn't get out the first round last year.
No, they lost the Warriors, but, no, I think, I think Katie got to win.
He has to win a ring?
I think so, after the Warriors.
Because every time you bring it up, it's like Steph one-on-one after.
Every time you try to do that debate where people were at, just for that reason, I feel like there's pressure on him to try to try to do it.
to win one, because he haven't got it done after the Warriors.
Not from lack of effort.
But what if they just have a good season and they get out the second play?
You can't keep leaving team for the team just to have a good season.
For me, I can't keep trading, getting traded just to have a good season.
Because I could have had a good season wherever I was.
I feel like everywhere he goes, he won to win the shit.
Yeah, that's his goal.
So he's showing up.
That's what I'm saying.
Has he not?
He's shown up every time.
What he did in Golden State, has he not done it everywhere else?
Because he's been averaging 27, 20.
He's averaged 28 on 50%, 45, and 88 from the...
We're talking about numbers instead of impact.
He has the impact, the impact, the same numbers.
It's the same numbers.
The impact that he had in the Golden State Warriors was insane.
No, the impact on him was insane.
What he did for that team.
God damn, y'all talking about...
What he did for that team.
Packing like when he was with Golden State, he did not have Stefan Curry,
who was arguing to be the number one point guard ever.
That was his running me.
What I'm saying, right?
Then you have Clay Thompson.
Now, you're telling me, everywhere he's went, he's had this crew,
and y'all said they failed doing that.
No, he has not had that.
He tore his Achilles, though.
He got hurt.
We're not comparing because Steph still got his crew.
You had it.
Step was winning.
He won the back.
That won't the championship before him, right?
He has bounced back.
They said to win the championship before, Katie.
Yes.
That means he had a championship resume and ingredients.
You added Kevin Durant.
They won two of them joints with Kevin Durant.
Then Kevin Durant left.
They didn't have a championship group where Kevin Durant.
This group is still a championship ingredients.
When he went to Phoenix, that's not a championship ingredients.
Katie, they have a championship ingredients.
Katie, they have a championship.
No.
With Berkeley?
What?
No.
They played together with 13 games?
Steve Nash was they coached.
They played 13 games.
Please tell them again, Ray.
They played 13 games.
Please tell them again, Bray.
Y'all making excuses.
Y'all making excuses.
You got hurt.
When he got hurt and when he got hurt in Golden State,
instead of you saying he left, it was he got hurt.
When he got hurt, he was not the same player.
The impact they're supposed to be.
all the shit that Katie brought.
Now, he can give you the same numbers.
We're not talking about numbers.
I'm not talking about numbers.
I'm talking about who Kevin Durant was when he got to go to the state and help them win.
If you go back to look at those highlights, how he was.
He was a different player.
But look at the team he was with them.
He was with a championship team.
I'm talking about the injury changed him.
But what changed?
The only thing changed right now is he's serviceable because he's an elite scorer.
He's an elite, consistent score.
Nothing's going to change about him going to get 27, 28 a game
because he knows how to do it.
He can shoot his ass off.
He's not as athletic.
He don't move the same.
It's the same.
When you look at Boston play against Servozo.
Did you just use Servalibault and Kevin Durant in the same bus?
He know what I'm saying, too.
He know what I'm saying, too.
He know what I'm saying.
He just want to be on the other side of it.
You know exactly what I'm saying.
The 28 ain't been sexy.
It ain't as sexy.
Because he got towards a killing.
Off his injury.
The numbers are going to be consistent.
He averaged 27, 7 and 5.
Played 35 games.
What about the other players he went there with?
Did they show up?
No.
Then the next year he averaged 30.
He average 37 and 7.
You all are forgetting.
He only played with this group that was supposed to win the championship about
13 games. They played 16
games together. If he played only 16
games with Curry
and Clay, they're not winning two championships.
So how can you say
he failed over there because they all got hurt and they
wasn't playing together? Because we know for sure
that when they got hurt in the championship, they lost.
Hold on, hold on. You said... When he went down,
they lost.
They lost. They lost when he was. They lost when he
went down against Toronto.
It was so, they were so happy
to God damn arena cheer
that he wasn't.
I remember.
And they didn't win.
I remember.
So you're saying, I'm leaving.
I'm going to team up with these two
because I know I can't win with them.
And we only play in our two years.
16 games together.
How are we supposed to win a championship?
But look, you want, you actually
and had a chance, though.
What happened?
The foot.
What?
What was it?
The foot on the line.
What stopped me from getting there?
The foot on the line.
It wasn't the other two.
guys to get to the next round it's stopping from getting to the next round if we get to the next round
if we get to if so we're all using ifs and we're not using 16 games and 16 games we're all using
ifs in this fall 10 games is a fact these are facts that's a fact so you just said if he played
on the golden state warriors with those guys were only 16 they're not so that's the if right
no that's did that's if yes man the fact is when he got hurt 16 games is it's a
They win.
The facts are his foot was on the line and he got him there.
Was the other two guys with him?
No, they weren't.
So who did he go?
So it means that he could get there without them guys.
Get your foot back a little bit.
Bring your foot back a little bit.
And we're there.
Get to where.
And we're to the championship.
That's not the championship game.
That's the next round.
We're getting to the campus.
That's the next round.
We're get there.
That was against Milwaukee.
That was against Milwaukee.
Right?
them we go play the Phoenix Suns no they aren't wrong you go play the Hawks the Hawks yeah the Hawks
yeah come on bro what we're talking about hey now you know we thought it was straight to
the championship it don't matter it's still a cake wall it's still a Kate wall right
I'm talking about ifs y'all want to lead with the hypothetical you why can't I won a
champion why can't I there's a fact there's a fact what is the fact who guys weren't
with him team that won the champion these are facts you should if no no we know the facts are right
i'm just saying steve nass was his coach the facts are that steve nash was his coach step in curvy
won't he got he went there with to go play with was fucking m i not there so these are facts
he has done him he has shown up authentically shown up in his craft showing up a deal what he's
supposed to do pre-a-cilees post-aqleas i agree with that at will
I agree with that.
At what point do we lose as a team, but it don't count to you as a player because
you're doing your part.
If we all lose as a team, we don't win.
And we get halfway there, at what point is it okay for you to just do your job?
I won.
I don't like the concept of us.
If we're supposed to wait at five and four of y'all are gone and I'm out here playing doing
my thing, y'all blame me for why we lost.
Not the niggas that's sitting on the couch?
next man up right next man up the next man up is a whole bunch of who right you
if luka go down right now no if luka go down right now and austin reeds go down right now and
austin reeds go down right now and we blame in aitin because we ain't making sure the player
and they're don't man we have you could have it with brady next man up he had six more years
after that year right or five more years after that season we talked about that we talked about
talking about James to him and Tyree.
No, James left.
I know.
What happened up in years, too?
He played with Devin Booker.
He played with David.
No, they didn't play together.
Who?
They also, they didn't play together.
Nick, they didn't play together.
No, he didn't win with Andrew Wiggins.
No, he did not win with Andrew Wiggins.
He won, he won.
And Jordan Poole.
And Jordan Poole.
No, no.
Yeah.
He talked about Jordan Poo and shit.
Yeah.
Oh, that's about that.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Hold on.
Wait, hold on.
Absolutely.
You're forgetting about Clay.
No, see, yeah.
Drayman, the guy who was there before he was there.
You're forgetting about the child.
Y'all moving to go for, you know.
You're forgetting about the original group that won a championship.
They added KD, one, two.
He left.
They added Wiggins and Pool.
They won.
The same group is still there, though.
They didn't change.
Yeah, they just took out one.
They just, they just, they just, these is here.
All right.
Let me put my...
Let me put the team on the window.
If he didn't play the 16 games with these guys, they wouldn't have won.
Y'all just used that hypothetical.
If KD only plays 16 games with this regular core...
They would have never won.
But then, they go pick a pool and wig is it win.
The original crew.
How the fuck does that make sense for you?
So you said, the original crew before KD won.
They won.
They won, right?
Then y'all said, if KD.
I said, you said only if KD only
plays 16 games with the
original crew, they would not have won.
They won the championship because it has just been KD.
So, after KD.
Lee, they bring in Jordan Poole and Wiggins and win.
And play with the same original crew.
And win.
If you was trying to make sense.
And win.
So are these two guys better than Kevin Durant?
The thing is,
If wiggies and pool came in and played 16 games in one, then you will be making sense.
But that's a if, right?
So let's talk about the facts here.
The facts that he only played six-time games with Kyrie Irvin and James Hardin together.
These are facts.
They did not win.
Since we're going to move on from the hypothetical, let's speak facts here.
The facts are that he has remained him pre-post-Aquillies.
He has shown up.
He can't help the fact that he went to Phoenix and Bradley Bill and that didn't work out
That's name on him the fact that they know him no all right so it's this fault that Bradley
Bill gets hurt what I'm done is this fault that Bradley Bill gets hurt
Is it is it is this fault that brady bill gets hurt is it is it is this fault that
Mugher did he down the coach and the main piece that he needs is this fault that Devin
Booker's coming in and out that's his fault like you see how you believe it's it's
That's all the whole COVID thing happened when they went to book.
So that's his fault.
You know that they suspended Kyrie.
That's his fault.
James Arnigott, is that his fault?
That's great.
I'm asking.
I'm just saying, bro, that's crazy.
These are the questions.
Are those situations Kevin Durant's fault?
No.
Well, yes.
At what point is it his fault?
Yeah, when do it become Kevin Durant for?
Wait, wait, wait, hold on.
Wait, hold on.
It's because of their personal issues?
Is everybody else fault?
Is this person issue?
Wait, wait, is Katie's fault?
because of their personal issues?
No, it's not.
It was just saying, at what point is it his?
It's never.
I mean, listen,
what they don't make him shit.
Katie always say, I'm just here to hoot, man.
Hey, when you just want to?
So how is that?
So how's that my part?
No, when they lost the championship,
when he got hurt and they cheered,
what did the media say?
Did they blame him for not winning a championship?
Oh, man, I don't remember.
Yeah, of course not.
I know they didn't blame, they didn't blame Kirby.
They didn't even think about it.
This is all shit, how they go win?
Not Kirby playing, y'all.
He's still playing.
They gave him leeway because obviously this one person or Clay got hurt too.
Clay got hurt.
Did they care about Clay?
Yes.
No, no, no, no.
Everybody knew.
I mean, everybody knew.
I mean, everybody knew was over when they got hurt.
When Katie, when Katie was gone, everybody was, oh shit.
But nobody blamed, nobody blamed Curry because they didn't win a championship.
because we recognize, oh, my God, it's going to be hard to win the championship
if two of your stars is gone.
Makes fucking sense.
Who gets the blame for LeBron not winning the championship the last five years?
Society.
Does LeBron get the blame?
Brian at 40?
I'm not talking about 40.
He wasn't 45 years ago.
Five years ago, we won a championship?
Five years ago, we won a championship.
I know.
Five years ago, we won championship.
He said after the after.
After the championship.
Before that too, before that two, who gets the blame.
Who gets the blame?
LeBron has gotten the blame.
No, no, no, yeah.
Because y'all want to blame LeBron.
No, he gets to blame.
No, the reason, no.
Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.
The sweep against San Antonio.
Your fault.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
So we win the championship.
We win a championship.
championship and we don't bring back
our championship team
to go back. That's LeBron's fault?
Ultimately, we don't bring back all those
beans.
No, but I'm saying no, but
okay, that big is that.
So we don't get it's
John is for the Milwaukee.
I'm saying no.
It's John is.
It's not. It's not. It's not. It's
false. But it's, but it's
yes. Yes. Yes.
Is John is fought in Milwaukee?
It's both going to say. It's not his fault,
but it is.
We can't blame the owner and the goddamn general manager for getting rid of him.
You know, LeBron can have a little bit of what he wants.
Yeah, God damn.
Let's keep this thing moving.
Hey, Denver, whose father was the winner to win last year?
I know what person they're not going to blame.
You got to talk about.
Oh, yeah, they're not blaming no Yolkes for no lost sister.
They're going back at the Denver Jr.
Don't not even look that way.
Mike George, they play everybody.
Michael Porter, Jr.
Fault.
Damn, Michael Borders, Junior's fault.
Damn, Russell Westbrook played three minutes.
It's his fault.
That should have made that goddamn layer.
Boy, that's crazy.
Well, Gil, speaking of Russell Westbrook, we got some breaking news to report.
So according to Shams, Westbrook has agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings to come back to the NBA for his 18th NBA season.
Yeah, every time, man.
Good time, man.
Every time, man.
Last season.
Last season.
You're 18.
He's back and gone.
Yeah, he's right.
It's got to stack at the end.
You're going to stack at the end.
It's all we need.
So after the opting out of the final year of his contract with the Nuggets become a free agent,
this offseason, there was no immediate market for Westbrook's services.
But according to Shams report, Westbrook's agent in the Kings maintained communication all offseason.
And now the nine-time all-star former MVP is found a home in Sacramento.
We'll join a king's roster that includes Demont de Sabonis,
DeMard de Rose, and Zach Levine,
and 2025, MVP, Dennis Schroeder.
Under head coach, Chrissy, Tick.
What, y'all said he, come on, man.
It's Sacramento.
They got seven chilies in the metropolitan area.
If they see the Sacramento, it's over.
Seven chilies, Brandon.
Go play bingo.
Yeah.
And this ain't me, Zach.
Barbecue sauce.
We are fans of Sacramento.
Like bingo, go milk a cow.
Yeah, it's lovely.
I mean, listen, listen.
I'm going to go out on the limb and say Sacramento and make the playoffs.
Okay, there we go.
There we go.
We love Sacramento.
Who knows?
Now, now, now, now.
I'm just talking about the city.
I'm just talking about the city.
Now, now let's do some media shit.
Seven Chili.
I'm not gonna make the play.
Remember, he just got put on his team.
If they don't make the play off, it's his fault.
Who they play with this?
Absolutely.
It's Russ's fault.
Russ messed up the chemistry.
Yes, absolutely.
Absolutely, they're going to blame my man.
I swear to God.
Yes, he will.
My man, they're going to blame my man.
Absolutely.
That's why.
What does Russ mean to that team as far as resume is concerned?
resume is concerned.
That's just going to drift off.
Resume and pedigree Russ is up here, top tier, right?
Yeah.
I mean, he does get the blame.
He always gets to blame.
He does.
He does.
He is.
So if anybody else with that type of resume come on any team and y'all don't make it,
then guess who's blaming it is?
They blame Melo.
Don't blame, man.
You blame when they show up and they don't play well.
They put all the blame on the motherfuckers, like,
told you this shouldn't have brought him here.
Russ had a solid season with the Nuggets.
Obviously last season we talked, Yokish, one.
Wanted Russell squad.
Play well in the games you started.
Gave him the Westbrook experience during the playoff.
What he's going to bring is he's going to bring in, we're going to come to practice, we're going to play, we're going to study, we're going to try to get better.
Like he's going to bring, he's going to bring what he brings, right, is are they going to be willing to accept it?
That's, that's the key, right?
It's, you know, it's, NBA is weird, right?
Sometimes if there's too many lazy people on the team,
the person who works the hardest is not like he is the bad locker room guy.
The guy who demands everybody to stand and work,
he becomes the bad locker room guy.
So if he goes on a team where everybody is trying to win,
everybody wants to work, then he's accepted.
It's just like Jimmy Bullard, bad locker room guy,
and then he goes to Miami, and then he's damn near God.
until you know him and you know what's them getting their beef and then you know
now he's a great locker room guy in Golden State right does Russ start that I was
just about to ask that top 75 they take the rut because they put me a big mug yeah
they put him back yeah they put the button they put the button yeah I'm a better six man
Malie Mike is a better six man no no no you got Schroeder you got shrewder you got shruder
you got Schroeder starts Russ comes off the bench but he's going to be a powerful guy
off the best. That's a tall ass boy.
It is. But listen.
Ooh, that's a tall ass, man. You want me to play behind Dennis?
How much did this?
I'm top 75. I'll walk in every day with my jacket.
I mean, you're up after MVP 25.
You've been playing so different.
You've been playing behind other guys already.
That's like when Chuck went to there's no difference.
And I said, you can't even come in here like that because, boy, you won.
You barely got in.
Let's get rid of all of that, though.
Let's say this.
But they've been talking all summer, though.
Let's say this.
Look at the team they get.
guy. The Rosen, Levine,
Keegan Murgy, Keegan Murray,
Malik Monk, Devin Carter.
Like, a sleeper is Devin Carter,
point guard, cold. He
one of the guys that's going to come off the bench with Russ.
You're talking about Malik Monk
coming off the bench. The second
squad for the Sat Kings
going to look good. And you're talking about pushing
the pace, right? I like Murray. Talking about pushing the pace.
I think Dennis Schroeder is
an offensive setter for
Sabonis, Levine,
and Dermar
Getting them involved
Getting them involved
He knows how to do it
It might be the
But he likes to score though
No he doesn't
No they play through sub bonus
But they play through Sabonor's smarter enough
To be able to go get those other guys
Oh no
He plays more than Russ
You want no
I'm not saying he's smarter than Russ
He got the thumb injury
She'll be out for at least a month
No
It just makes them more dynamic of a team
When Russ can come off the bench
And get him more firepower
You don't want him in money
You don't want him in money
You want Schroeder controlling that second unit.
Yeah, you want him, him, Monk coming off playing the way they play.
That would be a dangerous problem.
I don't know, man, Dennis Schroder, man.
He's nice, but he is.
I was losing to my star.
Russ with Belich, Monk on the second unit.
They know what they're doing.
I would lose them to my starters.
I mean, you know what, because you don't need Jenny Schroeder to be aggressive.
You don't need Dennis Stroder to be aggressive.
I thought was Zach Levine.
You're right.
You're not going to be.
Yes, he is.
He not.
He not.
He don't have a host, right.
But I won him two, so I want him in the second year.
No, you're right, you're right, you're right.
But the second you want to be you, Dennis and DeMarre?
Yeah, back door and cutting slice.
Because Russ will pass.
Dennis Roder's still trying to score.
Russ don't want to score.
I want Schroeder.
I want Schroeder.
At this point is Russ particularly, he going to try to leave the league and assist again if he starts.
Dennis Schroeder is not a better score than Russell Westbrook.
He's what?
He's not a better score.
Say it again?
Dennis Schroeder is not a better score.
Okay.
then he's a better score right now yes does he score more than him that's a different
no but he is but he just a natural score and how to get bucket he got more shit he got more
shit he got more he carries the whole country yes yeah did that more shit he carries
the whole country he know what he doing he got more shit and I'm the biggest
Russell Westbrook fan that he possibly be that little
Dennis got some shit a black man in Germany I'm thinking lining up I'm lining up
Russ versus Dennis and you're taking Dennis right now you're taking Dennis right now
I'm saying score.
You're not adding up the scorers.
Right now, yeah.
If they play one-on-one, I'm not saying one-on-one.
I'm saying one-on-one.
I'm saying scoring the ball in the office of saying.
Right now.
Dennis has more shit to him.
He's a better shooter from the perimeter than Russ.
He has more shit to him.
He's a better than you.
But other things are a part of scoring, too.
And Dennis has more shit to him.
Getting to the fucking pain, get into the line.
I'm going to get to the line.
I'm going to get to the line.
Dennis don't get to the line like that.
If we do all the same shit, I can shoot it better than you.
Who has more shit?
You got to catch that motherfucker.
If I lay the ball up more than you, who actually shoots a higher percentage?
And I shoot it better you from the perimeter.
Who is the better score?
Me.
I'm sure.
I'm hitting layups.
Who has a better mid range?
Who has a better post?
Who has a goal?
No.
Come on, man.
Better pick and roll.
No, no, we're not.
No, we're not.
There's two different things.
I believe right now.
You're saying right now.
We saw, y'all, y'all seeing it from a lens of what the teams have
been allowing him to do lately.
Russ can steal the base.
No, we're not saying he can.
You're changing.
You're changing. You want us to be saying that.
I'm not changing nothing.
You want us to be saying.
I know Russ is a better score than Dennis Rosen.
I know that.
I want Russell to be with the starting five where he can play off these guys,
play smart being that great atmosphere.
Coming off that bench, Wild Monk, I want Dennis Schroeder.
Dennis don't have an off switch.
Dennis Schroeder does not have an old switch.
He becomes, now, because it's like his, it's like his Euro team, where he gets to play with the ball, do whatever, meaning you can play.
But you need him and Monk is a slasher.
That's like Barbosa when he was with Golda's sake.
He becomes a very different player.
You put him as a starter.
Now he's like, oh, I got to pass the ball and stuff.
I take some waste.
Now I'm just out there.
Yeah, yeah.
So if I want to maximize both these guys, rush, you start, push the tempo, cut to dive.
I got all athletic.
I got all athletic.
I got three athletic motherfucking players now.
Russ is a hell of a cutter.
Russ is a hell of a cutter.
Russ goes back door.
Listen, put Russ out there with subonus.
Backdoor.
It's a fucking excellent choice.
Because back doors, his layups.
He knows how to screen.
Man, Russ is a complete basketball player.
Why didn't Russ start in Denver?
Why are you got two dudes?
They got that boy over there, that damn average 20 every year.
Russ started 36 games for the Nuggets last.
At the shooting guard.
Out of 75, they had a very good record.
But if you put Dennis and Malik at the...
But Russ also struck 52%.
Then you bring murder.
We'll go for 20.
It's a bad.
He's a shooter.
You got Devin Carter in the mix with them dudes.
It works.
You put Dennis shooter off the ball.
You can put Devin Carter on the ball.
You can let him still be aggressive.
Malik Monk is a slash.
He's your three.
Then you start fucking with your line up, this, that, and the third.
But it fits best for Russ to be out there with that start.
You got you guys.
Asking Dennis Schroeder to dial him back.
I don't think he can't.
They're going to be.
They're going to be.
They're going to be cutting off the ship.
I think they're going to be cladding.
Now you got three rim runners.
I think it's going to be stagnant.
Everybody on that damn has 40-year verticals.
No, they move.
This group don't sit corners.
This is not moving.
This is not sun.
This is not sun.
He's the only way they're moving.
Russ ain't going to shoot no threes.
He's trying to penetrate.
But that's their playing hard.
That's what he just said.
He just said three rim runners.
That's right.
That's not.
They're playing split games.
That's the worst.
They're playing off the ball.
They throw it's a bonus and they all die.
I would have Scholar Ben ever to, like if you need a bucket, you throw it to the Rosen.
This is not one has the ball in the other center.
Throwers ball down with that though.
Who?
No.
That's why he doesn't need to be in.
Everybody's been.
He just played in Detroit with the.
And he played where you got the Rosen and like a man, that's not.
He played with LeBron.
Man, their offense.
I'm not playing.
I'm not playing.
I don't want them too in the game at the same time.
No.
Play them all the ball.
They play at the same position, bro.
Coming off the bench, energy, all of that, we're running, we're moving.
And Dennis Sotomay, they're not getting the ball.
Man, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, bro.
Ball goes to some bonus.
He's, he can't turn it off, bro.
He's turned it off the last two years.
Right.
He had to turn it on Brooklyn, he had to turn it on because it's Brooklyn.
He's been on 17 to the last two years.
Went to the lawyers and said, no, had to turn it down.
He had to turn it down.
You sit you over here on the bench.
But he's been on it.
I'm about to say,
it's been.
How many times he's been on last 13, 12?
Like, he's been on, you know what I'm saying?
Since Houston.
He's been on 17 to last three years, dog.
And you say you're not going to truck, like, so you want him start, you want that guy
start.
I won't, I won't, I'm going to start because he can be effective with that you.
When he's on them 17, what is he averaging?
Getting his open shots based on the bottom, like,
10, 11, 9, it ain't going to be no ice.
Anywhere in the 13 to 14 range,
you average 18.
He's been on seven teams in the last, 17 the last three years.
He's averaging 13, 14, 15.
He's not turning it off, man.
He don't know how.
So what is turning it off?
Him being out of the starters.
Is that eight points of game?
Are you saying eight points a game is turning it off?
You know your game with starters or without stars.
When did it ever?
Your shit is when you have to have it off.
No, we don't need him to turn it off.
I would rather have rest.
If he's out with the starters, I hear he's not.
People call it.
That's what I'm saying he's not capable of doing it.
If you're saying he's turning it on at 13.
No, he's always on.
I'm not saying he's turning anything on.
He's always on and he's at 13 a game.
Yes.
That's always starters though.
He's aggressive.
That's 13.
It's not right.
How many shots are you taking?
We don't know.
You didn't say none of that.
They don't say that.
It matters.
But you ain't use it in the content?
It matters with shot.
So can you score without shooting the ball, Rashah?
How many shots are we take it?
I know that for sure because Smart didn't do it.
Can you score without?
shooting the ball. He didn't shoot one ball, he had zero.
So the point I'm making is he's averaging 13 in these times.
How many shots is he taking to get this 13 is what I'm saying?
You need to shoot 90%.
I'm pretty sure.
But you just, you want me to pull up the stat of how many times he's shooting the game?
I can do that.
If you want to know, we can go to the stat.
Somewhere in the 11th to the 12 range for a game.
He's shooting the ball 12 times.
When he turned on that money from the state.
Lakers been, he's not, he's shooting the last, last year, nine, off the bench, 10, 11,
off the bench, 12, off the bench, 11, 11, 11, off the bench, 9.
So he can't turn it off.
So if he's in the starting lineup, we don't know how many times he's shooting.
He's shooting more than that.
You just said off the bench, off the bench, he's shooting it more than that if he starts.
For sure, because he's ball dominant.
He was more than that.
He was just cooking.
If these numbers are because he's coming off the bench, that's because I get to shoot the ball because I'm coming off the bench.
So he don't, he doesn't, you need scoring.
And when he does, if I'm in the starting lineup, I'm not going to be shooting that much because I have to play the points off position.
Exactly.
So I'm going to take less shots.
Exactly.
That's what I've been telling him.
No, no.
He's going to take less shots.
Because I got other scores.
I got two 20 points scores.
So now he's not effective.
I have Jack Levine and DeMarcozen.
Why do I need to be taking 10 shots?
What is that?
And then I got subonis.
Yo, who's another all star?
Why do I need?
I take less shots.
No.
He's proven.
the point. Exactly. I'm taking my 10. If he's used to taking 11, 12 shots off the bench,
and that's how great he is and how he plays and what he does in playoffs and stuff, and you say
starts, and you got two dudes who average 25 and 26, and you have some bonus, meaning I can't
shoot the ball. That means I got to sit in the corner and be Derek Fisher take three, five shots.
You're not doing nothing great for him. You lose a play. You're doing great for the team. You're doing great for the
team. It's doing it for
the team. So put Russ in.
Russ comes, and he's a fire plug.
Russ hasn't started
since when? Last year.
He started, he started 36
in a time. Did he start
the season? Did he start the season?
Did he start the season? He started.
Started 3675 due to end.
All right. So why y'all keep acting like y'all don't know what
I'm talking about?
Will you ask, stop? Come on, bro.
Come on, bro. You said what was the last time? He started
last year. Okay. Before
last year, when did Russell Westbrook
start when has he not been coming off the bench he's been coming off the bench
right okay when he already triple dublin was so dennis schroeder if we need if we want to win
with the sacramento kings with two almost 3 20 points scores we need you to play the effective
point guard position he don't know how yes he does no he does that's not that's not my
How about the guy who averaged the damn triple-dow?
Yeah, the person who led the league in his sense
How about that left the league in a six for three years?
Let's try him out.
The point guard being point guard.
So why didn't nobody else pick Russell Westbrook
to be the starting point guard if they came?
Go ask them that.
I don't know.
But y'all don't have an opinion?
That's the same thing.
Y'all don't have an opinion?
He's on soccer team.
Y'all don't have an opinion.
We're talking about his current.
Okay.
His current team did not pick him to come in and start
at the point guard position.
Do you know that?
Yes.
Yes.
We do know.
No, we don't know that.
We know that.
He just got signed a deck.
We don't know.
He would have been picked up before a training camp.
We don't know that.
He wanted more money.
Now y'all just making shit.
No, there's a fact.
Now, y'all just making shit.
These are facts.
Come on, man.
These are facts.
He wanted more money.
Come on, man.
God, there.
So we know who the best point guard is for point guard in.
Russell coming off the bench last year had a down year with six assists a game.
Dennis wrote a best year is six.
So he had a down year last year.
Last year, it was 6.2. Dennis' best year is 6.6 in Brooklyn.
Show who you want coming off the bench and who you want starting creating a team.
Yeah, I'm gonna go with you guys.
You want the six men coming off with the other six man and they be some six man duels.
And you let these all-stars and these superstars play together.
I don't want that.
If I'm a monk, I don't want that.
If you're a monk?
Yes.
I don't want that.
Nick, you have fun when you came out with y'all.
You're just a place where you love coming up to you.
All your, you, black, all you're not a real point, all right?
He's not a real point.
He don't, no, he don't average more than six.
No, he's average six.
He's average six.
He's average his international stats, right?
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
No, I'm talking about the NBA.
There one that says Spolman, man.
We're listening.
Not people.
We're talking about it.
I'm talking about it.
You said he's not a point guard.
He said he's not a point guard.
Not the teams he played on here.
So, no, I don't watch European basketball, so I don't know.
The Paris, Paris, and, I don't know about that.
I don't know about that.
15 and 9.
Let it finish.
I don't know.
You know, he's running the team for his Fibbys.
To get them championship.
Uh-huh.
He turned into a point.
Oh, he wasn't.
Right?
Because he's the best player on the team.
No, no.
knows how to play point guard to win the championship for his international team.
So when he comes to the Americas and he's forced to play when he has to play off the
bench, right, we pay off the bench.
What is your requirement when I say, listen, Dennis, we need you to do this all the bench?
Off the bench is the beat of the best, right?
Right, okay.
So if we plays you in the starting role, your role would now be the same role you have on your
international squad.
I know it would not because he's not the best player of his team.
14 and 9.
He's not the, he's not 20 and 9.
Not 25 and 9.
Wait.
Not 36 and 9.
14 points in 9 of 6.
You know what I'm saying is he can try to win.
They don't want me to win, but I'm already in.
I'm already in.
It don't matter.
He can pair his FIFA team where he's the best player in the country.
Where that means he does everything for the country.
And you want to start him in the NBA
where he's an afterthought in the starting five.
His bench squad is like him overseas.
That's why he dominates.
See, when he comes off the bench
and Monk is the next best player on the team
and then everybody else, he gets to run the show.
When he starts and he got 25, 26, damn near triple double guy,
he is irrelevant.
That means you go sit in the corner.
You don't run the program him.
You don't do nothing.
It becomes, it's the superstar team.
What he's not used to.
That's why he can't do that in the NBA
where he gets to be the best.
That's why we didn't know he was bawling like that
until we've seen him in fever.
Like, oh, shit, he can really do that thing.
Well, he's balling.
Yeah, he was bowling.
Do you?
And that's what I'm saying you need to do here for,
now, if he does the same thing.
He really needs to say, let's call the spade the spade.
He does his thing everywhere he goes.
Now, if he does that with the second unit, how good are they?
Because he can't do it on the first unit.
He can really play.
He started with him.
He bought in Atlanta.
He started.
Everywhere he goes.
He plays well.
Yeah.
We started.
But their team is on the team.
They know, but he's going to do him.
Two dudes that average 25 and 26.
And you got another who they play through.
Yes.
Who's getting snubbed every year for all-stars.
He's damnly going to be Mike County.
Just.
Why would you want him?
That's all we need.
What would you like?
No, he can't make it out of my job.
He wins international championships by being that guy.
What do you want to keep talking about international?
Because he's winning.
That's winning basketball.
He's winning.
He ain't won none of them yet.
It's winning.
Pass the ball, sharing the sugar.
That's over there.
It's a different game.
You need basketball is basketball.
No, it's not.
No, it's not.
We got Russ.
He's on a bench.
So he's going to come off the bench.
Basketball is basketball, right?
So in the NBA, can you knock the ball off the rim?
If it's on the rim, can you touch it?
If it's basketball is basketball.
Of course, you can not do that.
So it's not basketball is basketball.
Is the paint the same size over there?
Or it's a different shape?
Is it still the difference?
Now they change it back.
See?
God bless America.
They didn't come back and play the Americas.
Basketball ain't basketball.
Do they pop without picking?
Or pick it?
Because they do this sort of later
And on that note, ladies and gentlemen

The international, I don't know where he was going.
He said, we're international.
International.
The average, which was last year when Germany was winning,

Of course, traveling.
Of course.
I got the chance to be a part of the Slam Magazine's 2-on-2 alumni game with McDonald's All-American.
Me, Lou Will, Tia Cooper, and Deja Kelly.
So that was dope being out there with the kids and having my son be at Rucker Park for the first time and things like that.
So it was cool.
Swaggy P, obviously, special forces.
You did a lot of things.
Yeah, I did a lot of stuff, man.
We've seen the clip.
We've seen the clip.
What was the best part of your break this on?
Man, shit, I would say special forces for show, you know, climbing or jumping out of helicopters and shit.
We made Pat Bev cut his hair and shit.
He got tired of being a mechanic.
Now, you know, he looked like he got his life together, recovering an addict.
And yeah, you know, kids, you know, just chilling, looking good.
And I lost some weight, as y'all can see.
the gill workout, about 10 pound, 15 pounds.
What is the gill workouts, wagging?
Injection.
I heard he be out.
The ozimp, the gil zimp, right into the stomach.
You can't use the same spot over the other.
And I start knocking up around the stuff gear, you know what?
You have to move it around.
Mosquito bites.
That's what you call them when people rub on.
Let's go on this side of the couch quickly, Cemetery, Larry.
Best part of your break this summer.
Damn.
Oh, shit.
Got to reactivate my hands profile.
Back on his.
Back on his.
house calls and you know waiting the niggas leave town I'm saying I got that back
you know what I'm saying taking the workout I'm saying I just take the little pay cut
you know I'm saying I'm still broke but you know what I'm saying I make it I make it
work when I need to you know what I'm saying that's about it back on hands a tremendous
accomplishment shit it was it was a hiatus for a bit dry it was dry I was parked
not going to lie I was real parked for a while
I'm what I get it from, man.
Sliver came with the best part of your break this summer.
Making it on the other side of it, brother.
Being back here.
Making it on the other side.
It's your brother.
That's all.
At your age, yeah.
Last but not least, Gilbert J. Arenas, the J may stand for J.
I may stand for your head.
I don't know.
I have to get one on you today.
Now, we are peaceful.
It wouldn't be the shoulder, but we are a couch of peace and tranquility.
It was the best part of your break this summer.
And the America?
What the fuck is wrong with you?
I went to jail.
You learned a lot about yourself, Gil.
Went to jail, lost my name, lost two days, right?
You were out quickly, though.
The fuck was happy about my son, Josiah.
You were out quickly.
They lost my name.
They lost my name, like shit.
You see that?
They cut me out.
They cut that up.
There's just an extra rug in the back of,
just put the kilts from there.
You are free men?
That isn't part of the gunned thing.
That's a plug and play.
Hair packs.
It's a toupee.
There's a tupe right there, man.
He's going to snatch that off tomorrow, man, put down the regular shit.
Now, we will be back tomorrow.
You are a free man, though.
Are we going to be back?
Oh, man.
We were all stressed when you went down.
Glad you were back home, maybe.
End and out less than a day.
You're talking about it.
The only best thing about this something, man,
is Ronnie Chugay gave me the official.
NBA logo on my created player
So when I walk in them streets, baby
Yeah, they know I'm there
Right, they know I'm the real one
Spending a lot of time at the record
I'm the real one
So I just walk around just see like all my people's
Right
You know what I mean, who ready to do?
Right, so that was like kind of like the best
Other than that
But you got you know
It was free guilt till it was backward
It's been stressful something
So I don't know who are you getting all this
We're back here now
This is God is good
No.
They took off the ankle brace.
No, I never had one of those, man.
You answered your question.
My bill, my bill was like $10.
My best man.
You try to avoid it.
You go ahead and answer your shit too.
It was your best part.
It was your best part, Joe.
Blime 95.
Just getting to spend some time with the youth.
Gil gave you back contributing.
Hang out with yourself and this crew.
Seeing you get free, so we still had a job.
Man.
Tumontua was time.
Barely.
You weren't even in jail long enough to Boo Boo Boo.
No.
I think we're all golfers now, huh?
I got to get out there with y'all, too.
I'm a little ass man now.
Yeah, we need to play somebody else's show.
I'm the best player.
Golf?
Yeah, we're all golfers.
We got to play best ball.
Yeah, no.
Yeah, that's what we're going to do.
Because my man's this is over here.
These two over here.
Woo!
Boy, listen, he's going to have the great-ass outfits, right?
We know that we can count on him to move the ball wherever we need.
just remove because he going to hit the ball and take off right he don't wait for nobody
out his pocket right he'll try hey man it's right here he was so mad yeah he know what I'm talking about

So as we celebrate the beginning of season four, we got to give some love to a few members of our crew who are no longer with us.
First, we got to send a shout out to the legend Steve Martinez.
Producer Steve was the showrunner for season two and three of Gills Arena.
Steve was an integral part of the growth and success on the show.
Behind the scenes and in the front of them as well.
He was a voice you would often hear during episodes kicking knowledge and Nick's
propaganda. A veteran in the sports media game was stops at ESPN and Fox Sports
for coming over here. Steve brought structure stability to Gills Arena.
Steve Martinez, we appreciate you. Debra Goods was our production manager for the past
two seasons. Always with the extra mile to ensure that everything ran smoothly around here.
Deb handled the chaos that comes with managing a daily show of this magnitude with Grace.
Always made sure everyone got everything they needed. We appreciate you, Deb.
And last, but definitely not least, Palo Grasini.
Paolo was with Gills Arena from day one,
serving in a variety of roles simultaneously.
Paolo was our director, technical director,
assistant director, and creative designer,
also a lover of legendary T-shirts and movie quotes.
So a visionary with love and passion for all things,
production, and creative palo's was a fearless and tireless worker.
Paulo would often be in this basement seven days a week,
looking for ways to innovate and approve the show in any way possible.
Also, whenever you heard the,
they fucking up in the back audio clip.
They fucking up in the back.
It was Paolo playing that clip
to essentially clown himself.
But make no mistake, Gilles Arena isn't the show
you know in love without Paolo.
So Steve, Devin Paolo, we appreciate you.
Wish you all the best moving forward.
Everybody else in the chat,
appreciate you for rocking with us.
We'll be back tomorrow.
No, they are still here with it,
just not with the shows, why?
I say, hold on.
We got a show love.
We got to show love.
We did.
But this has been another episode
of Gills Arena, presented by underdog.
We'll see y'all tomorrow.
We'll see y'all tomorrow.
Thank you.
