Gil's Arena - Gil's Arena Throws A SPOOKY Halloween Special
Episode Date: October 30, 2025Gil's Arena Throws A SPOOKY Halloween Special as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew Return to Gil's Arena to celebrate Halloween & the start of an incredible NBA Season with a terrifyingly special ...episode of everyone's favorite hoops podcast. They tip off the show reacting to another Austin Reaves masterclass as Lemon Daddy continued his unbelievable run as the Los Angeles Lakers #1 options with LeBron James & Luka Doncic out with injury and debate if the Lakers actually have a shot if their 2 superstars need time off this season. Next, they react to an old school NBA rivalry brewing between Anthony Edwards & Shai Gilgeous Alexander as the young superstars threw jabs at each other in recent marketing for their signature shoes and debate if Ant-Man is on the same level as Shai despite not winning nearly as many accolades as the Oklahoma City Thunder's reigning MVP winner before reacting to VJ Edgecombe & Tyrese Maxey leading the Philadelphia 76ers to an improbable 4-0 start, sparking a debate on the ceiling of this team when Joel Embiid finally starts to look like his MVP self. They then break down the offensive onslaught to start the NBA season as the league has seen over a dozen 40 point games and a record breaking four 50 burgers in the first 2 weeks of NBA action, launching a discussion on if offense has simply become too good in the modern NBA before they break down the the international dominance taking over the association led by Victor Wembanyama, Shai, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic and debate if this will be the first time we see an all international All NBA first team. Finally, react to Michael Jordan's recent comments on the load management problem in the NBA on NBC and celebrate Halloween with a spooky secret scary segment. PLEASE give us a Like and Subscribe!! Here's what's cracking in Gil's Arena today.
Austin Reeves continued his hot start in the game-winning buzzer beater to lift the Lakers
over the wolves
is Lim and Daddy
the Lakers leader
until further notice.
The Sixers are off
to a four and no start
thanks in large part
to their dynamic duo
in the back court
but what's the ceiling
when Joelle and B's
minute's restriction
gets lifted
and there was a league
record 135
international players
on opening day
rosters.
Will this be the first time

all foreign

So there were 10 games around the league Wednesday, but we're going to start with the best one
of the night. Lakers and Wools met for the second time in less than a week, Wednesday
in Minnesota, following the Purple and Goals win at home last Friday.
This time the Lakers were without both LeBron and Luca and the Wools were down, Ant Man
and it recovered from a hamstring injury.
So Lakers were up four at the half and 11 after three.
We pick up the action in the fourth quarter.
Let's take a look at what we got.
So despite an off shooting night, Austin Reeves finished with 28 points in a career high
tying 16 assists going 9 for 14 from the field.
Jake Laravia had his best game as a Laker, dropping a season high, 27 points on 10th of 11 shooting, including 5 and 6 from deep.
La Ravie had 25 total points of the first four games this season, and DeAndre Aden added 17 and 10 boards.
He was 8 for 11 from the field.
It's Aiden's second double-double this season.
So Julius Randall picked up the slack for the wolves, dropping 22 of his game high, 32 points in the first half, along with six assists.
And Jada McDaniels had a 30 piece as well, along with seven rebounds.
So Lakers were up by as much as 16 midway through the fourth.
quarter when the wolves came storming back with a 21-5 run capped off by Julius Randall's
layup to take a one-point lead with 10 seconds remaining.
But with the game on the line, it was Limmon Daddy time as a Lakers' current number one option
put the team on his back.
You got a double team hit a 10-foot floater in Dante DiVincenzo's grill at the buzzer
or game.
Oh, you see it.
You see the red light.
Lakers improved at 3 and 2 on the season, 2 and 1 without Luca in the lineup.
Should be noted they were also without Gabe Vincent and Marcus Smart for this.
one and LeBron as well has not played a game this season expect to be back
at some point in mid-November so after the game J.J. Reddick had high praise for Austin
Reeves but last year I think he established himself as a as a bad dude you know
a bad again I can't use certain words but this is this is kind of who he is he
had that stretch you know for three and a half months of the regular season last year
or whatever it is, where he's 22, 7, and 6,
or whatever the numbers were.
But he's done it.
For me, I think the big thing is he's established himself
as like the leader.
You know, he's one of the leaders or the leader on the court.
And that's big time.
That's what we want.
That's what we need from him.
So Reeves is the first Lakers since Jerry West
to average 40 points in 10 assists in a three game span.
Limitaddy also got some major love on social.
with Luca tweeting a goat emoji,
LeBron exclaiming A. M-Fing R
and two-time champion
a former number one coldest
American Caucasian Laker
Austin Caruso or Alex Caruso
saying AR cold, L.O.L.
So Reeves averaged 34 points, 10 assists,
six rebounds this season.
Doing this thing is Limit Daddy.
McGill will start with you,
our resident Lakers fan.
How impressive has Austin Reeves been
in the Lakers' first five games this season?
Talk your shit.
Apote de limo.
No, I mean, I thought it was gonna be one and four right now, you know, over four, one and five.
But, you know, we're three and two.
Three and two.
Without who?
Without who?
Without LeBron.
Without Luca.
Did not have Gay Vincent Marcus Martin this guy.
Shamar Moore.
Okay, let's try it again.
They was without who?
Third again.
LeBron and Luca.
Okay, that's it.
Period.
Without LeBron and Luca.
and you've seen what we have like he has been he's been doing his thing um i know they wish
they paid him you know whatever his intention is because at this point there's some things
you just can't rewind and you can't not unsee what he's been doing he's been showing that he's
dominant getting doubled he's been showing he can dominate with those guys on the court without
those guys on the court and you know at this point i know they need to start negotiating
with him because, you know, he hits free agency
is going to be in trouble.
So, Lakers did offer him a four-year $90 million.
That was last year.
In the summer.
That was last year.
He declined it.
That's in the summer.
One of the bad on himself.
The numbers are saying the whole different thing right now.
What they say they're saying.
Huh?
What they're saying?
Max.
$2.40?
Max.
Anywhere from 220 to 240.
Mm-hmm.
Depending on, depending on what they want to give up.
But, you know, he's been showing his.
thing right now, got us in a position where, you know, those guys can take a little bit more
rest. You know, you ain't got to rush back because we're three and two.
Three and two. I like it. Only five games, pimping. Hey, that's, hey, we were supposed to be
going to five. Pay and pimping. What do you think about Austin Reed's hot start?
I bought me a jersey, too. I didn't have Austin, New Jersey. No, I didn't have any of
New Jersey. No, not even last year? I don't, I don't, I'm just, I don't buy the help. I mean?
No, I support, but I don't buy that.
I don't usually buy.
I don't buy the help.
The help?
The help?
That's insane.
The help.
He just said that he proved last year that he was that, he, that he's that motherful.
But Luca came.
No, no, I get Luke.
That's all I said.
So I usually have three players on a team.
Luca, Bronny, and Bronn, those are the three jerseys I have.
Is Bronny not the help?
But you don't think, but you don't think when they started naming him, like, Lim and Daddy,
it was time to get the jersey?
He really wanted to embrace AR-15.
He didn't want to embrace that.
But he's embraced Lemon Daddy.
You've seen the billboard all throughout.
AR-15 is a whole different swag.
The help is.
Right?
So now that he's established yourself.
Let me see.
Who was the help on this?
There's no help up there.
Huh?
There's no help.
Those are all-stars.
Westbrook had help.
Let's switch over there.
He had help with KD.
That's triple-double first one.
That's not a help.
Yeah, but he was on the team with KD.
When KD won the MVP.
So he was the help.
So he was the help.
So you have a help, you have the help right there.
Then he turned into a triple double guy, that's that jersey, triple double.
30, 11, 11.
We're not going to disrespect that, man.
That man ain't never been to help.
That man ain't never been to help.
That man ain't never been to help on somebody's MVP team.
When Katie was MVP, you were the help.
Yeah.
You were sitting there watching the NBA.
I ain't never been to help.
So I was sitting there watching.
That's disrespectful.
No what I'm saying is I didn't have a jersey then.
When he was triple double, I had it.
He ain't.
Austin Reeves, I didn't have it.
Then he's doing this thing now, I have it.
We all have somebody one time.
Yeah, for sure.
Everybody's...
But he ain't been to help.
Everybody's...
Not in OKC.
It reminds me of Nola.
When I was down and out, Nola saved me, man.
He helped you.
Help me.
Came back and whoop that trick.
And you remember her, the white girl, that's him.
A.R. Nola.
He don't remember the movie.
Help me on the flow.
Oh, right there.
No.
Right there, too.
It, oh, my God, I'm gonna raise my hip hands now.
Mr. Bitton.
I'm just saying, no, he said.
I mean, I'm just looking at two help, like, no, when they got the jerseys.
I'm not going to say what jersey is one of that.
That number eight, that jersey right there.
That was the help.
No.
Not 24.
It is getting chilly in the arena right now.
I'm not going to say what jersey is you.
That's not the help.
Okay.
All right.
This is, you can't take on this.
Let's shift to this side of the couch, talk to the feds first.
Officer K.
Are you okay today?
Yes, I'm okay.
You said Austin Reeves, I don't get the help jersey.
Last year, he was the third option, the help.
This year, right now he's the number one option.
I bought the jersey.
That's all I'm saying.
So you bought the jersey for five games?
But I have it now.
But he's still the help.
Not right now.
MVP.
Right now, you've got to go ahead.
Right now, how much is he happening?
My bad.
So if I'm a little somebody team watching them win MVP, they have to help.
You just sitting there, well, I'm the best.
How much is the average right now?
34 Tennessee.
34 right now.
Six rebounds.
That's what I bought the jersey.
You feel me?
I got you.
Yeah, okay.
So Officer Kenyon, how impressive is Austin Reeves
start to this season be with Luca and LeBron's sideline?
This is what I have a issue with just concern with teams, right?
People that's making decisions.
when you're looking at a guy
like Austin Reeves played last year
like did you think he was going to get worse
like this is my thing
like did you think he was going to digress
you got a 40 year old guy over here
was on his way out the door
you're going to rely on this kid
so why not just get it out the way in pain
right
just go ahead and like stop
like all these games these teams
play it's unnecessary
and then you've
he's going to free it
he's not signing that right now
Unless it's the max.
So unless they give him the max and he's not signed,
he's going into free agency.
And there's a good potential that he can walk.
So y'all playing these games with these people, man,
when you know you can use them.
Same thing with Camilla, this kid,
you keep playing these games.
As we said on this show, y'all say it all the time,
play stupid games.
Yeah, stupid prizes, right?
Mm-hmm.
I'm, yeah, but he has been doing his thing so far this year.
when much needed, the help was needed.
They're not helping to start.
No, no, you can, he was the help.
The help was needed.
The help was needed.
The help was needed in this case.
I never, I never seen that.
I never seen that meeting.
That kind of help average 34.
They all look the same.
Jake looked just like, they don't know.
How much is Jack averaging?
I don't know.
Last night he did.
I couldn't tell who was who.
Not 34.
Yeah, but, yeah, no, man.
You need glasses.
Y'all fighting the hell.
No, like the kid is, he's proven that what he is, man.
Like, he's proving his trajectory is, he's on the rise.
So when your two main guys who you're depending on or out,
there's more opportunities for him, like he proved last year.
Stretch, like he said it was average 22, 7, and 6.
Like, those numbers are not going anywhere.
He's only going to get better.
His confidence is only going to grow, the more opportunity.
And he's proven like, hey, you can, at a 40-year-old guy,
he's been great, but we can.
So last year, AR, arguably the best third option in the league.
Some on this couch felt that way.
Some didn't.
The Lakers offered him $49 million.
That was the most that they could offer.
That was the most they could offer.
That was the most they could offer from that.
They ain't enough.
That was the most they could offer from.
Obviously, Reeves rejected that.
That was a courtesy gesture.
This current NBA is in this economy and the NBA where other guys are getting paid
that's doing less for their team?
89 for him in this city for that team?
more they no no but 240 is sick too well it's going to be more well listen i don't know if it's
going to be 240 but he deserved more than 89 so that's so i hunted more sure i'm saying so that's
what i'm saying so for sure he's not 1805 i'm thinking 185 i'm thinking he's going to get
18 if he keep going i'm thinking one because 240 you got to make all NBA team dollars that's the
matter to do that if he if that if that if he if he's going to get one if he's going to get one of you
continues this trajectory and he's averaging and he's
made third team, then it's a no-brainer.
185-190-185-120? Yeah.
185-19.
So let's move on to the master chef.
So you've got a lot of seasonings, a lot of things cooking.
It is snowing in Los Angeles
for the Lakers. Okay.
Okay. Make sure it's good to go.
Yes.
But how impressive has Austin Reeves been to start this season?
And do you think he's earning that max contract
this summer?
I think his trajectory is,
It's solid for any other team except for the Lakers.
I think the Lakers don't have no strategic plan to keep two of the same players on the
same team without really extending their roster.
I always say that they're looking for Joker.
So in order to get somebody like Joker to accompany Luca, you're not going to pay Austin
Reeves Max to keep him there.
It wouldn't make any sense if you're the Lakers.
So when he got the 55, I think that was a 55 for two or some shit.
Who Austin?
Yeah.
He signed like the 4 for 504, whatever.
So the Spurs at all from, I believe, somewhere like the 4 for 80 range.
Back then, took less bread, team friendly deal with the Lakers, stay in LA.
So even back then it was like to me, it was comparing him to Malik Munk.
It was trying to figure out where he placed, you know, when it comes to those guards that
can actually do what he does.
And he's obviously shown more progression throughout the years.
And what he's doing right now is what he's supposed to do.
Next man up, you know, it's my team now.
Everybody's down.
Let me do my thing.
But at the same time, if you can do what Luca do, why y'all on the same team.
And then you got LeBron doing what Luca do.
You do what Luca do.
Y'all three on the same team, somebody need the ball.
Everybody not going to have the same numbers.
So if you look at that, you say, does Austin Reeves belong?
on the Lakers, and does he get these numbers if he's not on the Lakers?
Regardless of his progression, I really think that we would have to wait and see what he can do on other teams.
And I think what he's doing now is showcasing.
He's showcasing his ability for other teams to see what he can do.
And if other teams see his trajectory being a max player, they may consider that.
But I don't see him as being no all-star right now.
I don't see him picking up his production outside of being next to another superstar.
that's going to demand the ball.
So you look at Maxie, you look at VJ,
Vijay don't demand the ball.
He's a, I pick it up.
Austin is kind of showing himself
to be a demand the ball type of guy.
So I think that's one of the things.
Well, VJ played with a guy
who ain't going to throw it to him
and other guy with his mental restrictions.
He ain't got no choice.
Well, Vijay really can't really speak right now.
He's a rookie, so he can't really.
And then Maxi, listen, trust me.
Yeah, he can't really say.
But so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so,
Austin Reeves can do this on the team?
I'm a question.
I do.
I think so.
I think if he was with the Bucks or if he was with.
There's confidence, man.
Once you had that success, man, and your confidence is...
I mean, he's five years in.
He's been playing with the Lakers.
It's style of...
It's a style of...
It's a style of...
I mean, yeah, yeah.
I mean, he spent five years with LeBron,
and I feel like...
And he creates his own...
It's easy to take that away from somebody like, oh, A.R, though.
But he creates his own...
He's not like that.
It's a playmaker.
I agree with that point.
He's not a safe.
They're playing around with that kid.
He started off like that.
But that's not who he is.
That's not who a lot of guys are.
Like I said, Malik Monk not playing in the...
He was on the Lakers.
Him and Austin Reeves was beside each other.
They picked Austin because Austin would be willing to take the money they would offer him.
Malik wouldn't.
So then you got to get rid of Malik because he's going to be worth this money if we give him the ball.
And we show him, like, go get this money.
Now Malik got to get this money.
got to go be a journeyman based on his skill set and what he's not willing to take.
That's why that 55, he took that 55 because you need them like, hey, listen, who give you this?
Hold on, hold on, what, so back up, back up, back up.
Malik Monk, he took the money from Sacramento, right?
No, when he got, when he became a free agent, and he left.
Right.
Because he wasn't willing to take where AR was going to take.
And that was 55.
He got what, but, but then he, but then Malik get 40?
Probably got less.
I think Malik got less.
But they're not willing to give him that bread knowing that he's going to be worth more than that.
Malik Moore is going to, he's going to showcase that he's worth more than that.
How?
Who Malik?
Yeah.
Did he get for?
So Austin got the four for 54, but let me, uh, let me check.
Oh, I could be wrong.
I think he got me wrong.
Oh, he did?
Okay.
Oh, okay.
Oh, so I'm not bugging?
No, no, you are.
Because he's signed.
That was the, that was happening.
So he took, he got more money to go somewhere else.
No, no, that was.
Because they didn't.
They were, he wasn't willing to take less.
I just said that.
So how am I bugging?
That was 24.
He's not going to give them this bread.
Yeah.
So I'm going to give it to Austin.
I'm going to go ahead and get my bread.
No, he got the mid-level.
He signed a two-for-19 with the Kings.
Two-for-19 for the Kings, uh, 22 and then signed that.
They both could have stayed.
So he decided.
They just wanted more opportunity, but.
They wasn't willing to give them to eat that opportunity.
But people, yeah, too.
You got to wait.
That's what I'm saying.
You gotta take the opportunity.
People with AR and Monk's type of skill set,
you could play a lot of roles out there.
You know how to fit in and be in the corner dude.
You know how to be the last second dude.
You know how to beat a shot clock running out kind of guy.
You get a ball to him and make him create.
So he could fit into any system.
But for me, I've seen this before, you know.
From Jordan Poole's or Lou Wills, you can't say.
New Will.
Will.
Jordan Boo, average 22.
With Steph Curry by his style.
He averaged 20.
And won a championship.
With Steph Curry.
And we have seen him by himself.
It's a different style.
That's what I'm saying.
You've seen him by itself.
So it's easily could take somebody like AR.
But we see A.R.
That's a great point.
That's a great point.
No, not a legit.
Superstar name.
If you don't have a legit superstar name,
and you just a guy like A.R.
And them guys like Jordan Poole,
they give you a little inch to be that.
If you don't pan out, they don't pan out,
become Jordan Poole in New Orleans.
No, Jordan Poole went on that motherfucking luncheon.
Like, Jordan Poo didn't learn nothing in Golden State.
Yeah, but that's what we're talking about.
He didn't out a thing in Golden State.
He went out to Washington and took all of them bad habits that he had as a rookie.
He didn't learn anything, even though he was on a winning championship team this and the third.
And that's what I was around KD, was around all of them dudes.
He didn't learn nothing.
But say the good part.
Stay all the good stuff.
There's nothing good.
There's nothing good.
There's nothing good.
We're talking about when he left.
When he was there.
When he was detained.
He talked about when he left, they're going to get that point, yeah.
No, there's nothing good about him when you left.
I don't care about Gold and State.
So, AR, I don't care about Golden State.
Right, he has left.
Right, no, AR hasn't left.
But we've seen AR with nothing else.
So therefore, we've seen Jordan Pool with nothing.
He has stepped down.
We see what he looked at.
All right.
Talk about him.
Have you seen this before?
No, we didn't.
That's all right.
We've seen him on a championship team
and then he went to a team that had nothing.
And,
And we see the way he was.
Okay.
Are you all the championship teams?
No.
No.
No.
We see what he looks like with nothing.
All right.
Yeah.
But we see him with nothing.
He didn't play with fucking Steph Curry every game.
He said I gave him 40 on the Warriors.
What are you talking about?
What happened when he left?
I'm not told him.
But that's what I'm saying.
When they gave him the team.
When he gave him his own team.
Thank you.
We see him.
When he gave his own team, he didn't do shit.
That's what he's saying about A.
We don't think his own team.
You don't know what can happen.
This is Diggas is down.
We see that's a bullshit on that.
Nick, you are right?
We don't know, but I'm just saying if he was put in that situation,
I think A.R. style of play the way he plays, basketball.
It's better fitting to be on his own, to be the number one on the team.
He's on a better team.
That's all I'm saying.
And because who we played in the last year.
He played in the last five years, well, he picked us some good habits.
No, no, no, no.
The team he's been playing.
with the last three games is the damn wizard.
So stop.
No, it's still a Laker uniform.
Oh my God, so it's a uniform that made it better.
So when Jordan Poole went to, what happened when you had a uniform off?
You were, you had a big hit.
Yeah.
18, yeah.
You can't disrespect.
So when Jordan Poo left, right?
No, no.
What the fuck you're talking about?
You're number zero.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I remember.
So when Jordan Poole left, right,
we were all under pressure.
Yeah.
He loved in Golden State.
Well, he said as much.
We were all under the impression that he learned something,
being on championship caliber,
being under the Warriors organization, all those times.
We were hoping that he took good habits
and we'll take some of those things to Washington.
Those things didn't happen.
All we can do is say the same thing from all series, right?
Being LeBron and LeBron these last five years,
all we can, six or whatever it is, it's going to be.
All we can hope is that you learn something positive
from being around a profession.
And if you're in a situation to have your own team,
you take a lot of them leaders.
quality and the positive qualities of winning to a different team.
That's how we can hope for, but we don't know.
But what we are he is right now, he's showing all the right qualities.
So you're more confident in Austin Reeves?
Yes, than Jordan Poole.
Has Jordan Poole said all the right things?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, said all these.
I'm bringing all this warriors, you know, the work.
I just like who Austin Reeves been around.
No.
Because you can win a championship, and you can still, I mean, there's a lot of people that win championships
that don't have the same championship mentality everywhere they go.
When you go to a bunch of teams, to a team with nobody who know what it is to win,
how can you know, there ain't no just take what I learned.
Why not?
Because everybody don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
Yeah, but everybody's looking at you like you're crazy.
Yeah, but everybody should be listening to you if you're the champion.
But they're not listening to you.
Okay, well, then that's so good there.
Because they've been out here trying to get their shit.
I mean, that's their problem.
Yes, that's their problem.
It's not a Jordan school.
That's not a Jordan fool problem.
So Jimmy Butler, right?
Jimmy Butler ain't won nothing yet.
But what do people say about him?
Everywhere he goes.
He's a problem.
He's a winner.
He's a problem.
He brings winning ways and he changes the culture within certain situations.
Yes.
And on the flip side of that coin, when it ain't going that way, he becomes the problem.
Absolutely, yes.
So in the weirdness, it's not that the same thing?
No, he's not.
He's taking, no, he's bringing the good qualities first.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
Jordan wouldn't bring anything positive to Washington.
Yeah, I hear what you said.
Yep, I hear what you said.
Why didn't he?
Because we saw the first game he played.
He's playing the way.
And the way he was playing.
Run to the corner three.
And his teammate knows how to play.
When his teammate was like, we saw that shit.
The same thing he was doing on the winning team.
Same thing he was doing on the winning team.
Jordan Poole.
So you got to wait with that shit because of who you're playing with.
You can't get away with that shit now.
So now you got to come in.
So everything that you learned, then bring it over here.
Why you not bring it over here?
What was I doing on the winning team?
It's the Wizards.
What was I doing?
Because he's a bitch your ass.
Okay.
So you put Austin Reeves.
On Brooklyn.
You put Austin Reeves on Brooklyn.
You think he's going to go away from what he learned from five years with LeBron James
and go over there and just be like, go fucking.
It's a different team.
I'm asking you, but do you think he's going to stop?
He said Austin Rees.
It's going to stop doing what he do.
It's a fucking star in a near that people don't kind of respect, but really, I don't know.
It's up in the air.
Niggins respect Jimmy Butler.
His name is solidified.
A.R. coming in, he got two games to show us.
So what about Jordan Poole then?
Five.
So what about Jordan Poole?
That's what about Jordan.
That's what I'm going.
I'm saying as a wicket.
What about Jordan 4, though?
What about Jordan 4, though?
457 and 7.
If I'm already, it's still like.
Before Luca went down, he's averaging 26 and 10.
Yeah, but what about...
Remember, he's the shooting guard averaging 10 assists.
So that means think about what he's bringing to the game.
But what about Jordan 4th?
He's 26 and 10, like he's a number one option, while the other guy is averaging 49.
Yeah, his game is multifamily.
Like, come on.
He can play...
The number one options average in 49.
You don't stumble into 16 assists.
Hell no, hell no.
With Ruy, with Banderbilt, Aiton, with nothing out there, too.
I don't get up for who you out there.
You can be out there with everybody.
You can be out there with everybody.
You don't stumbling to 16 assists.
So I'm just, I don't, you can be out there with fucking Steph, Katie, you got the motherfucker
be able to play, make, and get that ball to the right goddamn people.
And still was able to get to.
And still, to your point, the guys who are out there with, yeah.
Yeah.
That's it.
Ruey.
Vanderbilt.
Hey, Rue ain't one of nothing.
Which is that?
Which is?
That was out there.
Vanderbiltz ain't won nothing.
Jose and Kyle's wrong.
That had led the league in this one year.
Uh, 8 and A1, nothing.
God damn connect in Smith, Jr., brawny,
that's his team.
He's a playmaker.
He's a point guard.
He's a point making point guard.
So what are you saying?
I'm saying, A.R.
Put them on another team and niggas can't shoot.
They ain't gonna be 16 assists.
Niggas can't shoot on that team.
He just said it.
I know you were talking, right?
Who he just played with the other day was trashed?
16.
This ain't hard.
Who has 28 on the, on the Lakers?
The other kid, the white kid, not real.
Jake.
What is his name?
Jake from Austin.
What did they get Jake for?
Six million dollars.
What they get, no, what did they?
We didn't even know who he was.
What reason did they pull him on the team for?
We don't know.
We don't know that.
We don't know that.
We don't know that.
Okay.
You know who, you know who, you know that.
Okay.
I know who.
Bring this guy here because he can hit.
He can hit shots.
What do Rui do?
I mean, I googled him.
What do, Rui? Can Rui shoot?
No.
No, he can't shoot now.
Streaky?
He's solid?
Is he solid?
He said the last guy that you just named was streaky, too.
Can he an open shot?
He's a little of guys can hit an open shot.
Hit the open shot, bro.
Well, we're going to have it.
Six, seven points, three points.
Time I, he can shoot.
So, yeah.
Now he's open.
Now I can shoot.
I'm open.
I'm open.
So you're saying it's easy to get 16 assists?
I'm open.
So what you're saying?
I'm not saying nothing, man.
I'm just crazy.
I'm asking you a specific question.
I'm asking you a specific question.
So you're saying it's easy to get 16 to 6 in the big game?
I never said that.
That's what I'm asking.
No, I didn't say that.
I didn't assume, shit, I asked you a question.
No, I did not say that.
I asked you a question.
I did not say that.
So therefore you got to be able to play make.
I think I got 16 once.
In order to get 16 to six, you got to be able to play.
Guys got to be able to make shots.
But you got to be able to get the ball there and make the right plays,
the right passes, this, that, and the third.
A lot of these dudes gets to the same spot Austin Reeves getting to last night,
and they're shooting that bitch.
He made a decision that I'm going to be the, I've seen the way these other guys play LeBron do,
and I'm going to implement, because I'm pretty sure JJ Reddy had that conversation with him.
No, he was shooting.
He was having a bad shoot night.
Yeah, that's, yeah.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, he did, he did, which is fine.
He did, he did, he still was able to get 16, so that means.
I mean, I'm watching the game.
It's no bad night.
There's no bad night.
There's no bad night.
There's no bad night.
Oh, man.
Any shot 24 times.
That's my thing, still shot the ball 24 times.
So he was still his same aggressive.
aggressive self for himself and playmaking to get 16 assists so and how many free throws at
he shoot seven we don't do it like four i just a pool i mean the 20 seven without self average like
20 something in the game 28 and 16 on the bad basketball player into this conversation
all right now he's a bad basketball yes he is he was blessed to be on a good fucking team he's a bad
basketball player and he averaged 20 on the same that don't mean he can that don't mean he's a good
basketball player, man.
So this don't mean he's a good basketball.
This don't mean this.
It's the same thing.
That's he was number three last year in the West.
They're not number three with this line up.
But it's still they are.
But it's not bad.
Come on, man.
Y'all, he's not bad basketball.
You're trying to.
So, Jordan Poole played a bad basket.
I don't agree.
Well, that's your opinion.
That's your opinion.
It's your opinion, exactly.
And I'm entitled to.
We disagree.
And I'm entitled to.
So therefore.
So you think Cam Thomas play good basketball too?
Of course.
Of course.
Him?
Oh, okay.
He's going to say, yeah.
Because he's scoring the ball.
I love AR type.
He's part of that group, too.
No, he's not.
No, he's not.
He can't have 40 and nothing else on the board but turnovers.
Yo, they had 40 and nothing else but turn over.
I ain't going to lie.
I wish I could have had 40 in zero.
But they double team.
And what you could have high assists?
19.
And he was on the team.
I didn't try again.
What's you average an assist?
I was, I was, what?
An assist per game.
Like, I had a Quran.
I average five.
All right.
He averaged four.
He average four.
What the fuck is he talking about?
Damn.
Gil, your career high is 16 assists.
Oh, damn.
Versed the piss in November 21st, 2010.
John Wall was out, and then I had to beat John Wall
because it was just true nigga pass in the ball.
I wasn't trying to get kicked off the team yet.
You had me out that year.
You put me on.
All right, man.
Okay, I'll do what I don't do.
I believe in your career you have 49 games with 10 or more assists.
Yes, shit.
I mean, and I feel like it would be more, but no, no.
Antoine could shoot, I had shooters on my, I didn't have shoes.
But yeah, I'm going to say it was eight, nine, eight, nine, eight, nine, eight, eight, eight, eight, eight, eight,
but we're still like that, right?
But we were in, um, it was an offense.
It was in the offense.
It was in the system.
We was in the system.
What's the difference?
How many?
We already went through this.
How did his, how do his look and how do his look?
How do his look?
The board on average four.
Same.
No one.
Not the same.
How many of them?
That's like two.
That boy don't average four since.
Like two.
Yeah, you know there's three.
You know how like I was past, so just keep going down.
Keep going down.
That's going to go out for four games.
And your selfishness didn't look, it didn't look selfish when you had me on a team.
They looked selfish when I left.
Because now you want to do you.
Who else going to do something?
What the fuck is we're talking about?
Who are you going to let score?
Three point two assists this season.
Brother, you know how selfishness you are?
You stole an end.
bound pass for the game winner from Kobe.
I won the game.
I know.
But I know, but it's like, whoa.
I made it.
He did make it.
He didn't sound selfish to me.
No, you made it.
It's still sound selfish.
Oh, it's not selfish.
I'm joining them.
Give me the ball and get out the damn way.
All that shit is not selfish.
That's part of the play.
That's called winning time.
Oh, but okay.
You know, I'm trying to win.
I'm, I'm long.
That's called part of the play.
In too much.
You saw, we saw what Reeves did with Luke in the lineup.
Mm-hmm.
motherfucker on beating up so we still trying to figure out who side to be on right now so we saw
what we saw what Reeves did with Luca in the lineup we have yet to see what
Reeves will do with LeBron and Luca in the lineup yeah also we know what he's
gonna do but how does Reeves shift into the number two option impact LeBron's role
with this team LeBron has previously at Lakers Media Day yes no problem being a
corner boy this season shifting to that role did he average last year who
Austin 20th and the third
option? 20 and six?
Let's get some smoke.
He's the corner.
LeBron.
I'm getting it.
I'm getting it.
20.6 assists and 5 rebound.
Okay.
Every three games playing 35 minutes for game.
So 26 and 5.
That's what he did as a third option.
So ask that question again.
And now with him shifting to a second option, how does that impact with LeBron's role
be with the team?
You're just assuming he's going to go to the second or third.
No matter what, he's going to at least give us 26 and 5.
At least 20,000.
26 and 5 as the third option.
If he's the second option, he might give us 26-7-and-7.
No matter how you look at this, he's going to give us 26 and 5.
We can count on him to produce.
And that's for Reeves.
And that's for Reeves.
That's for Reeve.
But now, with LeBron coming back, second team all-N-Bia top six in the NBA last season.
We did that, man, it's never been.
He averaged with LeBron and Luca last year.
We're trying to pretend that they did.
He didn't play together already.
Yeah, but that was a different Luca Gill, acclimating himself to Los Angeles.
But he doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
They know how to play with him.
77 was still here.
LeBron James is going to rely on, if he's smart, and we know he is, he's going to rely
on those two foul baiters to get them in the foul and the penalty so LeBron doesn't
have to take those hit.
So between those two guys, they're going to take at least.
to take at least six hits a quarter, which that means you're not hitting LeBron,
and if you do, he's going to the free throw line.
That's what a smart basketball player at his age would do.
So he would gain a lot of free throws because Austin Reeves is getting hit and Lucas getting hit.
So simple.
We asked the chat, will Liam and Daddy push LeBron to the corner, make him a corner boy?
56% of the chat says no, but let's talk Reeves real quickly before we move on.
So like we discussed on the show yesterday,
20 and 5.
Reeves in the final year of his deal can opt out this off season, be eligible.
What did he do when he had a team by the time?
Who cares?
Who cares?
And how many games did they win?
De Maudeau for what?
20.
Who cares?
20 and 5?
How many games they were in the basement of the league?
Man, who cares if he average 20 and 5?
That's what I just said about Austin Reeves.
They didn't win.
He had his own team.
He averaged 20 and 5 and he sucked.
He was a third option on Golden State and they won the championship.
So the next year.
Yeah, 17 and the year he won.
But they made the playoffs.
Learned from a good situation.
The Lakers.
Four option.
Four option.
Four option.
Who's the fourth option?
Jordan Poole was a fourth option on Golden State.
He was 20.
He came off the bitch.
You don't know what I keep talking about Golden State.
He came up the bench.
No, we're talking about when he was by himself.
So y'all talking about AR today.
We talked about AR the third option, ART.
No, we took the two stars off.
And he's the number one option.
20 and 5.
No, he did not average 20 and 5.
20 and 5.
As the number one option.
20 and 5.
Not as the number one option.
He's told off of three games.
What did he average last year?
No, so his first...
As a third option.
What is the third option?
The third option, he average as a 26 and 5.
But listen, Jordan Poole...
As 20 and 5 as the fourth option.
Jordan Poo...
As a third option score.
And the champion.
You want to put Draymond Green in there.
No, they have Wiggins.
They have Wiggin.
Oh, my God.
Who passed the ball of Wiggins?
So, Wiggins ain't got the ball since the win.
George Poole is an option before.
Pull your powder out.
All right, man.
So pool average 20 and 5 assists last year with the Warriors.
His first season with the Wizards, it was 17 and four.
Next season, though, was 21 and 5.
And with the Pelicans.
Wait, hold on. So he went down.
20.5.
Three points.
20.
20.
Remember, we thought it was an average 30.
Right.
Yeah, no, no, we all said it.
We said it.
It's on this year.
agree with if he thought he was going, you know, get to the line.
We all said the same.
Went out there, average 17.
And then he came back to do what?
2017 and four.
And he came to do what?
He had a rough year.
Then he averaged 21 to next year.
He had a rough year.
And he came in an average.
We played basketball.
You have a rough year.
You know what I'm saying?
Don't say good things about his good.
He bounced back.
I'm not.
21 and 5.
I'm not going to bounce back.
There ain't no bounce back.
I don't bounce back when you're the number one option.
That's not a bounce.
That's terrible basketball.
And it's your team.
It's not.
man.
Nick, Nick, let me ask you this, Nick, if you, Nick, if you were, Nick, if you was, Nick, if you were, Nick, would you average 21 on that wizard team?
By yourself.
No, no, no, nigga, don't do that.
Don't do that.
Don't do that.
Tyler hero been the number of hours.
Nick, Nick, you have 18 with the Lakers right with Kobe on your team, right?
I don't know how to get foul.
Can I get some power?
You have 18 with Kobe on your team?
Yeah.
So, let me ask the question again, Nick.
Can you give me some.
If you're the number one option on.
The Wizards team that Jordan Poole is on, would you only average 21?
Because I've never been the number one option.
I don't know how to feel.
I know how to get my...
You play like a number one.
Just look at me and say, I don't want to answer your question, Ken.
You play like one.
Nick, just tell me you don't want to answer my question.
I said you play like one.
Your mentality is like a number of numbers.
In games without Kobe and number, yes, I averaged 20-some.
That means you was the number one option, right?
Yeah.
Okay, that answered the question, right?
No, he didn't answer my question.
He said, would you average over 21?
He said, would you average over 21.
He didn't answer my question.
If you average in 20.
That's the thing.
They will let you.
You're the number one option.
Yeah.
That group is gone.
You can shoot whatever.
You can shoot whatever.
You can shoot whenever.
You're by yourself now.
I'm just saying.
You might happen to 30.
If you say yes, you're making their point.
No.
Just say no.
Just say no.
Just so they can stop.
Okay.
No.
I wouldn't average all that shit, guys.
In this error?
Chill.
Because if I say yes,
because we know better than that,
we know that he would average more than 21 points
if Nick Young was the number one
on the team that George Poole was on.
We know that as a fact.
How do we know that as a fact?
Because he averaged 18 when a guy when he was not, Nick.
Nick, what option was you when COVID when you average 18?
Nick.
At Christmas, I mean, that'd be heard, didn't he ever...
Kmart say something good.
Nick, what, hey, no I'm saying, but Nick, what...
What option were you when you on the team with Kobe, Brian?
What option were you?
Shit.
These motherfuckers cooking over here.
With COVID, it's Kobe, not playing...
But if he's playing with what our...
If Kobe's not playing this?
If he's not playing this?
Oh.
So you were, but...
Three, yeah, yeah, three, four.
So your average 20, you average, you average, you know,
you're average, you know, it's possible.
When Colby's out, your average went up, I'm assuming.
Cool.
All right, thank you.
That's all.
The Wizards, you're averaging 25, buddy.
I'm sorry, I just, I'm just, I just, I just have to take the ball 25 times a night.
Because the way they plan to this air.
But that's the problem, though.
You didn't have a conscience.
You don't say that's a problem if somebody's shooting.
No, no.
No, no.
We're just saying what you would average, though.
No, we're just saying what you would average.
As well as the score.
But today's era, this is your error.
Cam Thomas is just the score.
We don't look, Jordan Poole is just, he's not making plays.
He's not making plays for anybody else.
He average five assists.
If we got the ball in my hand, a lot of more joy of the game, anybody can average fucking five assists.
I did.
They running everything through me, I can average five assists.
I did.
Yes.
Do you actually average 10 assists?
If I have the ball for 40 minutes?
You actually have 10 assists.
If I can't get five.
But you only play two games.
Yeah, I was hurt.
I can't get a clip.
That's how good I was.
If you forced me to.
past average tennisist.
But you...
But I worked on my...
I worked on my wife.
I worked on my wife.
Hey, somebody else on the Wizards.
Right now?
Right now?
Right now?
Yeah.
For real.
That organization, come on.
Which one?
The one we were at?
Yeah.
Good-ass organization.
They paid me.
When I left, horrible.
Jordan Pool on the Pelicans now.
Now, A1.
Oh, Jordan Pull on the Pelicans now.
He's on the Pelicans.
Oh.
So he over there with Zion.
So what are you gonna do now?
Same shit you did before?
Same shit he did before.
So what he's doing now is averaging 17 and 3.
What I just say?
Is that back to 17?
I know but 14.
He is going to average 17 for a year.
He could average 20 because there's another player that's going to take all that person.
What is he ever 17?
When Dejante Murray come back.
Let's talk about...
You get to be free because he get to go back to what it was.
You go into the Whirl.
When the niggas come back, 20, 19.
26 and 5.
18.
26 and 5.
20, no, 26.
20, no, 26 and 45.
20, 6 rebounds, 5, 6.
First of all, 20 points, period, 6 rebounds, period, 5 assists, period.
Hey, keep playing well, AR, man.
Hey, I just know what the best.
Keep doing it.
He's going to average at least 25 this year when it's all done,
because he's already at 34.
34 is going to come off of.
He's going to have some horrible nights.
We're talking about nasty.
Like, damn.
Some playing 35 minutes and you got three.
You got to have a lot of them.
Yeah, I see that.
Not with him.
Let's talk about another exciting white on this Lakers roster.
Jake La Ravia had his best game as a Laker.
And during the game, La Ravia.
From all state.
Gil, let me do my read.
Okay.
It's all in there.
It's all in there if you just believe it.
Oh, you wrote your shit.
It's all in there if you just believe.
Tyler Perry.
Tyler Perry of Hosting.
We're paying out 30 scripts in a day.
But Jake LaRavia had his best game as a Laker during the game.
La Ravia could be seen exchange in words with Ant Man
and Edwards had this exchange with the Wolves fan as well.
That's what I'm saying.
Who is number 12?
That's what I'm saying.
I don't know.
So I bet you know now, Anthony.
Number 12 is Jake LaRavia, Homi.
Better known in Gills Arena as Jake from Allstate.
First player, the Lakers called with free agents.
opened back in June, signed a two-year $12 million deal.
So obviously, Rob Polenka is Laker's gym.
It gets a lot of heat, a lot of flak.
But how much credit does Palinca deserve
for signing Jake LaRabia?
Because we were doing a free agency special
when that deal went down.
We didn't know the fuck Jake LaRabia was.
Say it.
Say what you're about to say.
I agree.
Go I'm just saying.
Go on saying.
Say it pimpses yet.
Whatever he was about to say, I agree.
Preseason, who the fuck was he?
Game one, two, three, and four.
Okay, so.
Yeah, one good game.
Yeah.
What do all white boys do very well?
Drink beer.
And what?
Good credit score.
And what?
How fun and like?
And what?
How fun and life?
Y'all see.
I don't want to answer the question.
What do the white boys do?
I'm just naming everything they do.
Okay.
What's the whole reason we're going to bring this nigga on our team for?
Okay.
Okay, now everybody's zombies now.
They said Jay got that stuff.
I saw it last night.
No, they said Jay got the thing.
Yeah, one more to the middle.
Why did the A.R.
Got the stuff.
Oh.
It's three of them.
Hey.
We don't got no Gordon Heywood.
We ain't got just one triple pull-up type.
We got the, we got the, we got the round of think Jake could do.
Oh, yeah.
Shoot the ball.
Hey, because we all was thinking, like, who the hell they signed first?
Yeah.
Like, who was like, who the fuck is this?
Who was number 12?
We at Venice Beach, we see a white boy come on his court.
We can be like, hey, we know he can do what?
Yeah, you better pick him.
We know he could do what?
Shoot.
All right.
And play hard.
And play hard.
He's going to guard whoever.
Until you have to go against all three.
All of them.
He's going to guard one through five.
That's weird.
Pop, bop, bop.
That's why I be talking to this is so special, because it's rare for him.
Hey, I do know that.
Cool.
Don't be mad at it.
I'm not, but I was.
Same thing you said about Jay Will.
like Jay Will, like, fucking that niggas up.
That'll be going to turn me against A.R.
I'm saying, all right.
You turn yourself.
I mean, I don't know if we're giving Paliga that much credit.
I mean, we got to wait and see what else he do.
I mean, just one game.
Huh?
You said it.
Yo, we overran.
I got only one game for him, but it's.
We know, like, they tried to, like, ship dog to connect already.
We know that.
How he feel now, watch the other white boy just come in and just be like.
Nah, he did.
He did good yesterday.
But I'm overall, though.
No, Kenna, he did it.
Overall, though.
He had 15 in the game.
Oh, Kinekentz out there.
I was that overall.
No, he didn't.
He had 39?
What?
In college?
So, last year.
And they were about to cut A.R.
as y'all was all.
Let Kineck play mode.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I remember that.
I remember that.
I remember that shit.
Ooh.
He was affecting Bronny's minute too.
He was like, yeah, man, sit him down.
He's not passing the brownie enough.
Come on, man.
Get a guy out of here.
But Kenyon, let me ask them to that.
to that, Dr. Connect, I remember that.
24 years old.
Yeah, I like the Nick.
Jake LaRaveree, 23 years old.
But they picked him last year when he was 23.
But my point is, he's not going to stay the same age.
But my point is, I'm older, getting less burned than he bringing this young dude now who's getting more shining.
But Dawes Connect played well at the time he was given last year.
Before they tried the shit because you needed the bid.
Yeah, for sure.
He didn't have a good trip.
He played well in the Jake role that he was given last year.
So you just, like.
But he had one good game.
A couple more six.
Yeah, one good game.
No, no.
No, no.
He had no.
19, 14, 27, 37.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
Oh, no, I thought you're talking about.
I think that's why we tried him.
He was looking good.
The Dots Connect played well last year.
And then he came back six, six, five to the
fucking head up.
Hey, so.
You affected the Austin Reed.
They traded them and traded them back.
He came back.
You got enough money for all you, but,
take that five-hour flight to Charlotte just to come back.
Come on, man.
Charlotte Airport.
Oh, shit got received.
Yeah, you're sitting here.
You're sitting there.
How about the Charlotte airport?
Last question we move on, Gil, looking at this.
You've been living in LA to go to Charlotte.
Let's, yeah.
That's a rough flight, boy.
Five hours.
And then they're going to get rescinded, you like.
Amen.
Looking at this Lakers squad right now, Gil.
You said they could be one and four, oh and five potentially.
Three and two right now.
How much confidence do you have in the supporting cast
once LeBron and Luca do come back?
Are we back in the championship?
Back in the championship, ma'am.
Ladies gentlemen, we are back in championship,
three and two?
Three and two?
Yeah, yeah.
Three and a team in the league.
Come on, man.
Go, look who we play.
You got to be happy.
Look who we can play.
We beat everybody.
Y'all said we was going to not be.
Warriors.
We beat the Kings.
We beat the wolves twice.
We beat the wolves twice.
But we beat the wolves twice.
But we beat the wolves twice.
Second night of a back-to-back, very difficult.
We beat the wolves twice.
The Ant-Man.
We were going to be one and four.
Huh?
No, Luca wasn't either.
No, LeBron.
That sound like a scrimmish.
For the front, three and seven.
That's a right now.
A scrimmings that we want.
Hold on.
That's all right now.
Three and two.
Hold on.
We had Bucca when they said one and four and oh and five.
Mm.
All right.
Three and two.
All of that they will take our three and two with our roster right now.
Minnesota is in trouble.
Without Ant Man, they're in trouble.
They in trouble.
They in trouble with them.
They're in trouble.
Because we beat them twice.
Man, they are in trouble.
We beat them with them without.
I can see Amman.
Get on up out of there.
All right, we beat him so bad he had a hamstring problem at his party.
He was too focused on that.
Gray bowler though.
Go burn every game with him.
Did you see your man?
Did you see your man?
No, but I'm just saying, but did you see the, but you see your man though?
Okay, thank you.
Hey, man, I'm glad you're saying it.
Teammates here on the couch.
Happy Halloween to everybody.
No, the motherfucker, Rudy Gaubert, put his ass and motherfucking got all the active defensive player of the year.
Motherfucker, where is he at?
Not where he's supposed to be.
On the bench, got that's on the game on the line.
Defensive player in the year needs to be on the bench.
Defensive player in the year, he needs to be on the bench when the game on the line is fucking crazy.
That is wild.
That's a wild statement.
It's getting spooky around the NBA, especially in Minnesota.

You got, it's built in already.
You don't need it.
All you got to do it, hey, listen, you could have did this shit on the top.
You would have created.
Everything you just put on inside, you would have created.
I don't really fuck with the police.
Hey, well, hey.
Taking my holes off the stroll.
Taking my holes off the strode.
Taking my holes off the stroll.
The police here.
I'm like, that niggins make your thing.
Take it.
My heart stress.
Hey, that's, trust me.
So.
There's no moisture going on when you ever need that.
That's for damn sure.
Dinner is almost the hands.
You put on back.
Speaking of Ant Man, I'm doing with the hamstring injury, but we got a friendly robbery
brewing in the Western Conference between Anthony Edwards and SGA.
Both players have their own signature shoes.
Amman with Adidas, SGA with Converse.
I have one on each foot because you didn't notice.
Go Converse.
And both have used the marketing obsession.
The marketing of said shoes to take shots at each other.
So let's take a look.
So it started last season after The Thunder
Eliminate the Wolves in the Western Conference Finals
and Converse dropped this spot featuring an ant.
Ending with the tagline, nothing left to say.
Unbelievable. Playing off Ant Man's believed that tagline.
So during the interview with Complex,
Ant saw that promo for the first time had this reaction.
This is for Converse and Shay.
Oh.
Yeah.
Nothing left to say.
Unbelievable.
I mean, listen, if they're doing something to say something about me when they ain't
say nothing about them, that means we're doing something right.
If you still worry about me, that mean we're doing something right.
Yes, you're right.
We don't feel no type of way about it.
We don't have something back.
We're going to come back.
We don't worry about it.
We did not worry about what Aunt got his give back recently in listing the services of
Kat Williams in the ongoing series to promote his AE2s.
Here is a snippet of what Kat had to say in the commercial.
Now I know what y'all going to say.
There's a certain two guard, not named Anthony Edwards, who's all the rage right now.
I can't deny it.
He's doing his thing.
But he's lucky his game is as smooth as his little poems, because them shoes, no thank you.
The game left that brand behind for a reason.
What else we bring him back?
Cigarettes in the locker room?
Then I could play.
But I digress.
Back to hand.
This young man, the one who made your favorite Hooper's favorite hoops you,
He didn't just upgrade.
He evolved.
Don't believe me?
Fine. Stupid is free.
I ain't gonna lie. That was hard, Cat.
Ain't you forget something though?
Ah, yes. This boy here is the truth.
Believe that.
Okay. Not bad, not bad.
Who is free?
Stupid is free.
So SJ was asked about and clapping by
back and him recently offered this response.
Is there any talk in the locker room of the commercials that Anthony Edwards is doing talking
crazy to you?
Is there any chatter?
Good question.
You want to say?
Great question.
I mean, like, it's the business of marketing.
You talk about things that are hot and going to get clicks to get kicks yourself.
So I completely understand it.
It's all fun in games, though.
Nothing doesn't impact my sales if you guys can tell.
No, sir.
Yeah.
All right, guys.
So at this current juncture, SGA has the upper hand on the court coming off the season
in which has the MVP, finals, MVP, and scoring title while leading the thunder to their
first chip.
But Ant does the bigger numbers in terms of shoe sales with SGA just releasing his first signature
shoe in the summer.
But that initial limited drop did sell out a minute.
Pull out fast.
And Swaggy, you are...
Oh, man.
You're thankful enough.
And you're pimping to bless me with one half of a pair of NG.
line is out there waiting in line.
You're fine for waiting in line?
Early.
For a pair of SGA?
They camped out.
You allowed that?
Eyes on the concrete?
Don't look up.
And what do they sell those shoes?
They sell them at the foot locker.
Yeah, for locker.
You know, I don't go to nobody.
Nike.
So what are your thoughts on Ant Man firing back at SGA
with his new A.E2, Adidas commercial?
You all know you're biased?
Yeah, I'm off. I mean, I'm all for just rivalries.
So, you know, if you can help
each other sell, help each other, like create this rivalry.
They're both young.
So, you know, this is something we can see for a minute.
So I like it.
Let's move over to the master chef.
You got fries cooking, noodles and noodles.
My bad.
We potato regular.
You reminded me.
Your shit is cooking.
Okay.
Well seasoned, adequate amount of seasoning.
The checkers.
That's all you got this.
Checkers, French fries.
We were there thoughts on Ant Man firing back at SGA with his new A.E2 Adidas
commercial.
yourself at all cause.
Dude's a champion, he led the league and all the things that he did.
If you're gonna fire, you gotta throw some bombs.
I'm saying, bomb first.
You gotta just forget who, don't forget who you're bombing at.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, you gotta win the war.
It's a battle though.
Going back and forth, it's a battle.
But when the war is over, if that man win again,
sit your ass down somewhere, man.
Who needs to sit?
Oh.
Oh, ain't gonna have to sit his ass down somewhere.
Every man come back and come back.
Yeah, you move the fuck around.
He might see me in his nightmare.
Right, man.
Or you just hold up that ring and don't say nothing at all.
Two rings.
He's like, man, I got two of these.
I'm Eddie Kruger, Freddie Kruber's cousin.
But let's shift over.
The officer kid.
What are you thinking about this whole rival between?
Eddie Kroger?
Yeah, you don't want to read the chat.
What did they say?
They're mean, Gil?
It's finishing with Kruger.
It's just starting a little heavier, you know what I mean?
Heavy.
Ruger.
I'm just saying, the name at the beginning is all large.
Just throwing you under the bus for no reason, man.
But as I previously said to the chat, we would love to see pictures of your faces so we can comment as well.
No, this one about you, there's a body.
There's more body shaming.
Well, naturally.
We love to see this.
That's their go-to.
A blessed and fortunate chat.
McCain, we were talking before the show.
SGA, you said, you know, we don't want to do the face of the league discourse, but you said that he is.
But you said that he is taking over that title?
Yeah, no, Shea is, in my opinion,
becoming, if not, the face the NBA.
Says all the right things.
He's inviting to these friendly competitions,
marketable sell shoes.
I think it's good for the league.
I think it's good for the league to have two of the up-and-coming stars
on the biggest stage.
displaying personality displaying creativity um yeah so i think it's dope man i think it's dope
only thing i want cat with you got to shade not a two guard but i give him what they're
what they're going for i'm anal with shit when they come to stuff like that is you said there's
another two guard out here i hear you but it's but yeah it's it's semantics at this point
i got but it's good for the game and it's good for them too it's good for sales obviously
and it's on his second,
Shea is on his first, but not.
And ultimately, Shea got that, like,
let's not forget,
like Shea does have Nike behind him.
I know it's Congress,
but it is Nike at the end of the day.
So if they're heading in the right direction
as marketing,
far as spending,
far as getting him out there.
So I like it.
I like it.
For me, I like it.
I don't, you know, I don't,
For both, because you ain't seen a good pair of Adidas in a long time, man.
And the last person to wear Converse was, like, the big name, D-Way, but I've never seen
a good shoe, or a shoe out, really, you know, so I don't think nobody bought some Converse.
I don't know why.
Back in the 80s and the 70s.
That's what I'm saying.
So, for the shade to have, like, this first drop, sell-out and this Converse, it's kind
That's dope, man.
Yeah.
Last man, I leave Mr. Fris.
Also known as Mr. Bidus had some.
His shoes?
No, James Hardin shoes.
I'm about to say the James Hardin's shoe.
All of James was hard last year.
The new one he bought the drop was crazy.
No, but I like the rival.
I mean, I love Ant, man.
I just love his, he just going to keep talking, like Gary Payton to me.
So, you know, you got Adidas, you got Converse, you got two of the youngest stars that are going to be around for a long time.
So I'm loving it.
It's what the NBA needs.
It's a new era anyway.
So we got to find some type of new rivals
and things like that.
The follow-up job,
does this feel like a real rivalry
or does aunt need to get his way to the first shot?
I know you said he need to get it right first
because if he gets sat down again.
He's winning in this regard.
He just got a win on the floor.
Like, he's a set of my shoes.
He just got to.
Yeah.
He just got to beat him in the playoffs.
He beat him around.
He can meet him.
But good luck.
Good luck.
How long he been in the league?
Who's that?
He's 28.
He's been in the long league.
How long?
Was he doing what he doing when he was his first four years?
He didn't have a signature shoe, no.
All right, yeah.
So who's really winning at the end of the day?
I mean, they're both running, but I mean, they're both winning.
They're both winning.
They're weird.
You know, that's winning that championship.
Like I said, if you're going on sales of shoes, then you would say, eh, but if you're going on overall sales of shoes, career, everything, that you go SGA.
go SGA.
I don't know.
Man, just won MVP, finals, MVP, Eastern Conference MVP.
They didn't make no...
13 all NBA, listen, brady.
They don't get no...
Third year in the league.
Who's third year?
He didn't.
I'm saying Shay didn't.
He didn't make no Western Conference final.
So who's in that third year, though?
How many times that Anthony Edwards been there?
Just asking who's in...
Back to back.
Who's in the third year?
What year is this one?
Five?
He's 24.
He's 24.
I mean, at the same age.
I think so, yeah.
Six.
Oh, and it's 24?
It's going to, this is six year.
Six years.
So Shay is big bro.
Cool.
Cool.
Cool.
I like it.
I like it.
Yeah, it's it.
It's healthy, man.
They both winning.
Yeah, it's healthy and I'm a fan of both, so it's like.
And they both win.
Yeah.
It's kind of hard.
So.
Do what are you researching?
They both three-time All-Stars.
Yeah.
Oh, so I see what you're saying long-term, you think, you think long-term?
I don't know, I mean, no, he started on the team where he came off the,
he ain't done.
No, no, but what she did last year, right, that puts him in a whole different category,
and man's going to have to, he's going to have to move.
Like, at the same pace, it's in front, at that same pace.
Yes.
But last year, SGA jumped and, you know,
Anne's going to have to get up there at some point.
I get it.
You know, that was a big-ass leap.
Big ass leap.
At 24 and 24, yeah.
If you want to compare a 24-year-old, I'll guess.
Absolutely.
So before we move on, Gil, I actually talked to the chat,
and they said that they didn't say any of those things that you said.
Yes.
They said that came from you.
Teddy Graham.
I didn't say big.
I'm saying everything is private.
You can't pay attention to these.
Teddy Grinch.
You said Teddy, right.
Did you say Teddy?
See, he got their poncho on.
Oh, yeah, because they said Teddy Graham.
Yeah, you're about to make me turn state witness.
I'm just saying, I said it's a bunch of headings.
He did everything, sir.
Yo, he got it up under the poncho.
He over there's a ticket.
He's taking a shot.
It's fine.
Snitching on me.
Director Posit coming in three days.
So I will forgive you.
But let's keep this thing moved.
Woo-whoop to that.
Thank you.
Not off the underdog.
Who-whoop.
Y'all been real.
Slow with the woo-wolves around here, man.
It's Halloween.
This year, Halloween came on a weekend.
Start of the season has seen a scoring explosion around the league
with individual bucket getting reaching unprecedented levels.
So let's take a look at what's been going on.
During the first week of the NBA season,
there were a record 1640-point performances,
including four 50-point games,
which is also an NBA record for the opening week of the season.
Wimby got these things rolling with the career,
40 points against the Mavs in the first game of the season, and four of those 40-point
games came from the Lakers with Luca dropping back-to-back 40 pieces to start the season.
Austin Reeves coming through with 51 and 41 in back-to-back games with Lucas sideline.
Tyreece Maxie also had two 40-point games, while Aaron Gordon, SGA, and Lurie Marketing joined
Reeves with the 50 pieces.
God, see you smiling.
I know you love it.
So the scoring started has been attributed to an increased pace along with an increase in free
throws, but I'm going to start with our resident defensive expert first.
But has the offense been that good or has the defense been that bad?
How many dudes last year averaged over 30?
It was like a record number, right?
I don't know the exact number, but it was a record number of guys average over 30 points.
Guys can score the ball.
Don't give me.
God's work on their craft.
There's some really gifted individual scores in this league.
I don't think whether it's bad defense, whatever you want to classify it as, it's not being emphasized during the regular season.
So whatever you want to classify it as, man, guys are, this is double the next output, man, is crazy.
Yeah, I don't know to classify it as bad defense.
or guys are really good, man, and, yeah, it's got off to a rapid scoring pace,
so that number is going to break some records this year, I'm assuming,
as far as 40, 50-point games in the season.
So let's buckle up.
Let's shift on this.
Mr. B.
Bucking it to yourself.
Got to work very early in your career, 55 piece.
I mean, I just think, yeah, I know I saw my, I was up there for that 09, 2010.
I just think guys are just, just the offense is just getting so much better, man.
I mean, you see the money going up, guys are getting paid for scoring.
So, I mean, if your mentality is going to the league is just score.
So you've got to be able to put the ball in the bucket today.
I mean, with the defense, you know, I don't know if they're doing shell drills anymore.
I mean, obviously they don't have training camp anymore, right?
So you can't really get your defensive schemes all together.
So, I mean, yeah, this is what's going to happen.
But we talk about that.
Pride.
There's no pride anymore.
I'm going to go ahead and say there.
There's no individual pride.
But the pride used to come from a lot of the teaching, though, too.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like training, you know, like all that, so with none of that, it's like, they just.
Like, we're just pride to get better, like, you know you bad, right?
We don't have training camp.
We're not working on this as a team.
We're not doing these things.
I only spent one year in college or I came from Europe.
AAU basketball are not teaching me these good habits.
By the time I get to the league, I got a lot of bad habits, right?
So where does the individual pride to, you know what?
Whether there's 1% better defense, however you want to, listen, I'm tired of getting straight line.
I want to do it to make two moves instead of straight line.
Like, just where's the individual?
I ain't saying you got to be fucking Tony Allen.
I ain't saying you got to be Gary Payton or Alvin Robertson or.
none of these dudes, I'm not saying that.
But where's the individual pride when a guy get, like, listen, man,
coach put me on him, right?
If he cooked me, that's what I'm saying.
But if he cooked me, but I'm taking the challenge that, listen,
I'm going to make him work for this bucket better than you could have.
That's all I'm saying.
Where's the individual?
We don't know if they're not doing that.
Yeah, but where's the individual part of going to go see guys who were great defenders?
Like, you'll go see somebody who was a great,
offensive player, right?
So if you know that the league is struck,
why don't I go see Akeem, right?
Why don't I go see a...
Who said they're not?
I mean, we don't...
I mean, we always hear about guys,
oh, going to see Hakeen.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
But, like, why we don't hear about guys
going to go see Tony Allen.
Because it's not sexy.
It's not sexy.
It's not sexy.
Because chicks dig the long ball.
You do, but...
That's just what that's...
Swagger, do your hose, like you shit.
So they're not going to seek out
post-defense on how to stop
a guy in the post or how many, what did you do on the perimeter to stop?
They're not going to seek that out.
In this day, in the era, I don't know if in the way they shoot the ball,
he wasn't programmed to do that.
So defenders, do you drop some of these guys in any era, I think they'll still score
if it's the same system.
It's hard to play defense when somebody throw it up and you can shoot it right away.
But how much is paid?
Get up.
That used to be back in the day.
How much is pace and spacing, impact?
We didn't do that.
If they pulled up, you got to get the 60s up.
Yeah.
It's about, it isn't about, it ain't about speed.
Used to be one shooter, one guy that can score, and a half of extra guy.
Then eventually it was two guys, then two and a half.
Today, all five can put the ball in the basket.
So when you're talking about health,
upside and try to get back, that doesn't even exist anymore.
You have to have one-on-one defense with a dude who has 300 new moves to the same
defensive principles that was created in the 60s and the 70s.
If I'm right-handed, you're going to push me left.
Okay, you're going to push me.
That means you're going to give me left because they're supposed to be a nail guy.
That nail guy don't exist anymore because that's a shooter and that's a dead over.
So now that's Luke or LeBron James Wright.
So when I come and go, you don't have that stop anymore.
Yes, to your, yeah, absolutely.
What you're saying, 100% correct, absolutely.
So if the help is not there anymore, why am I forcing you to a direction, right?
So this is what I'm talking about, the individual pride, the individual, all of these
individual things come into play at, you know what I'm saying?
Okay, the help is not there, but if you want to do it, you might be late, right?
You can help you get back.
Contest it.
I'm just saying, but if you wanted to, you could.
Be in the passing lane, be up, just discourage some things, do your work early.
I'm saying, he still might make it.
He still might boom, boom you and get to the basket and find the guy in the corner and do all.
Yeah, all those things can exist still, absolutely.
But if I know that I got four of the shooters on the floor, why am I forcing you left?
Why am I forcing you right?
You know what I'm saying?
Try to stand?
That's what I'm saying.
So why are they, they're not teaching these guys and there's the individual pride to go watch film, be like,
go watch film, be like, damn, I'm bad.
Right?
Exactly.
Damn, I'm bad.
I got something different.
That's all I'm saying, because you can't always ask for fucking help.
The master chef would like to interject.
I like to talk who.
I like to talk being a student of the game.
And one thing we should know is the defense is not, like you guys said, sexy and it's not
entertaining.
So if you're trying to make basketball more entertaining and you're trying to get the scoring
up because the chicks love the long ball.
Chick dig the long bar, baby.
So that would mean that the emphasis would not be on defense
and training camp.
It wouldn't be the emphasis in practice.
I think that the game never changes, only the players.
So if the game doesn't change and the emphasis,
when I was growing up, was on defensive field goal percentage.
It was on deflections.
It was on getting stops, collectively as a group.
We need to get a stop, three stops in a row, to be precise.
So when you get three stops in a row, the defensive field goal,
percentage goes down and your fast break percentage goes up that's where the
offense comes in but now if we're saying that the nail guy which is for the
fans the nail guy is the guy at the free throw line if that nail guy is no
longer there because this guy can shoot it's not because the defense don't want to
give up the three-pointer is because they don't teach it anymore because the
percentages never lie regardless of how this guy can shoot that guy can shoot
We've always put these defenses in play for a reason.
So if you have ball pressure, if you're pressuring the ball,
that means these guys don't have the leniency to just sit there with the ball above their head
and pass the ball and pick the defense off.
Everybody's up.
Everybody's playing hard.
If we say cut the court off in three different ways.
If you got the ball on the wing, I'm cutting the court off to make you go baseline.
There is no middle.
Now, we've got one-on-one and we got help.
The one thing these guys aren't doing is talking.
We need to talk on defense.
Why are we not talking?
I got the ball.
I got the help.
I got this.
I got that.
When we talk hoop and we play hoop, you can see the difference in the defensive intensity.
Yesterday, you talked about Zach Levine.
Does he look like he wants to play?
Does he look like he wants to go out there and stop guys?
There are certain guys out there.
You look and you're like, man, he has no interest in playing defense at all.
So if the defense is not a part of the concept of what we're going to do,
of what we're going to do to stop guys to get the ball back
so that we can try to score like it was with San Antonio,
like it was with the Lakers.
All these guys had emphasis on, bro,
we played first defense.
It's defense first.
Now it's not because back then, what, points per game,
where like 100, 104, 104.
So that means some game.
But it was easy to play defense back there
because you only had two people that could score.
It ain't about me, it was emphasis.
I mean, you only had two people that could
So it's easy to play defense.
I'm a sitting here.
I'm a coaching emphasis.
I hear y'all absolutely because, yeah, guys were limited out there, right?
They weren't limited.
Guys were not limited.
It's still the same two guys on every team.
It's just that they're allowing other guys to shoot more.
These guys play defense a little bit.
Who?
What guy?
They play defense.
Who?
Oklahoma City, yes.
Oklahoma City.
San Antonio does.
He got paid because he played defense.
And he was getting cooked.
Who that?
Jalen, not.
Well, it's supposed to be a great deal.
Yeah, they're supposed to be a 15th.
He is.
He's first, second team all due to.
Yes, he is that.
And you still, if somebody shoot 29 times, he's only 18 shots.
So what are you saying?
I'm saying, now, if they, y'all was trash back in the day.
Say it again?
It wasn't trash.
But it was like, you couldn't shoot like these guys shooting that.
Okay, I said that.
They didn't even have a three-point line at one point.
So now these guys, y'all used to get excited off of Jamal Crawford one play.
Everybody's doing some Jamal Crawford shit.
Everybody can guard that.
You can guard that.
That's a high, listen, that is a low percentage shot.
Jamal Crawford's a low percentage shot.
You shoot the ball.
If we're going to sit back and say our emphasis as a team,
Jamal Crawford is shooting 30%.
I was in the league when they pressed.
I was in the league when they pressed.
Let's hear me out.
Two, two, one.
We are.
Palaisers put a two, two, one with that.
That old-ass team.
Yeah.
So individual prize defensive, right?
Yo.
So if I'm guarding you 25 possessions, right?
And I make, of 25 possession, I make you go 9 for 25.
I guarded you 25, like you were saying with the Lugel, right?
Jalen Brown.
Jalen Brown with the Lucas, right?
If I guard you individually on, you shoot the ball 25 times on me, and I make you go eight or nine for 25, I had a fucking great day defensive.
Yeah.
But he still had.
And you had.
And he had 28 and 12 and 9.
And I had a good day defensively.
So everybody's praising that 30.
Everybody's praising that 30, right?
But I held you, listen, you missed fucking 16 of your.
And we won the game.
Low free throws.
You had four or five free throws.
I had low fouls.
I had a good defensive day, but that's not getting praised, right?
At all.
But my thing is, to your point, the individual pride, right, is, like, to that point, right,
if I know there's a score and I'm guarding a guy.
I know for a fact I'm not going to shut him out.
And I pride myself on defense.
I know this.
I know guys are going to score.
I, from fucking dirt, Kobe, Tim, I've guarded everybody.
I'm not going to shut them dudes down.
I know that.
But my individual pride each and every possession told me, hey, I know I'm not going to stop
him every time.
If I make you take a contested shot, you might make it, you might, whatever it is.
I didn't let you straight line me
I didn't let you go to your A move
So add this, add this in
I'm winning now if I make you go to B
C
That's what I'm saying
But that news don't do that
It's just not a straight line list
I get the ball
They go to ABC
They go to ABC is cool
For no reason for no reason though
What he just said
For no reason though individual individual pride
Right
That's what you're saying that needs to be important
Right yes
First and foremost
You add that to the team pride
Now, Kenyon's individual pride is on him to say, I'm going to try to stop this niggins.
But if he's the only one doing it, if he's the only one doing it, guess what?
If the other four guys feel like he feels, I got to get a hand up.
I got to get in the passing lane.
I got to stop.
I got to talk.
I got to step in and take this charge.
We look different.
It's not just the individual guy to get to go home and sit.
I did my job.
No, we actually have an emphasis that if Kenyon come in the locker room,
And they still might make it.
But look, if you come in the locker room and he's saying, man, what the fuck?
He feel like he's doing it all.
But if he come in the locker room, he say, yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
Way to help right there.
Way to get my back right there.
But you still lose games.
But we can look at the mirror.
We can look at the mirror and we can say, we play good tonight.
Okay.
They can live in the show fucking 28 times.
And me saying there's no defenders in the league.
They'll play deep.
If he shot that bit 20 times and he was motherfucking 21 for 28, then no.
He was 9 to 25.
9 or 24.
And the game winner, like it doesn't matter.
Like, it do matter.
Because you just said they don't play deep.
You're right.
You know, the point is you can play all the good defense, all the shit.
He makes a flow of a game, but then it goes back to what we're saying.
So it's multi-layer, right?
He's playing great defense on AR, right?
but then you got fucking Rudy in the game.
Rudy out there, fuck it up.
Put him in the pick and roll, split the pick and roll.
So it's all the good defenses man didn't play, making them do all this shit.
Then you put Rudy in the pick row.
Rudy has to have that pride.
And it goes to shit.
Rudy has to have that prize.
He has to have the prize.
He has four.
He has four.
In that moment, Rudy has always failed in that moment, he's always failed because that's not his strong.
So now that's the coach and has to take him out of that position.
He needs to have a pride.
He got four or five.
All right, so we're going to bring it back to you.
You got a foot Nyes-Reed in that position.
We're going to bring it back to our era and let a five-man switch on me, and I average 30.
Matumbo.
Matumbo.
Let Matumbo bring his ass out there on the island.
God damn.
All first team defenders at the guard position got ISO.
What are we doing?
What the fuck is they going to happen to Matumbo?
What do we think?
Kim Duncan.
We're going to shrink the floor.
Everybody come in and make you over pass to the wing.
You didn't take him to pass to the league.
Leave us around the team.
I have to drink the floor.
Did you do it?
You didn't win.
You didn't win.
Yes, I did.
We were literally baking you doing that because we know you're not going to win the game.
I played on the team with Matambo and I'm going to tell you right now, if he would
have been out that motherfucker on Garland Gill, I would have ran that Gill.
Ain't no goddamn way.
I'm going to leave Matambo out that motherfucker.
We know.
We know.
Man, Dee got that motherfucker going at him.
Did he get him.
Hey, he did.
You get it.
Mothoguble go get down there with that Isle Herring and shit and get motherfucking.
Yeah.
Like the difference is, we shot 10 threes a game.
Yes, they're shooting 55.
It's, there's 10.
So if there's only 10 threes being, that means we can all sit, wait for this guy,
bump him, do all.
There's no bump no more.
That guy is sitting at a three-point line.
You think about a bump shot.
They only won't stress base.
They're playing the percent.
They're shooting 40.
They're playing the percent.
They're shooting 40 more threes.
We're playing the percentage.
I think we all so.
That's a lot.
That's a lot.
We're not talking about two.
They're shooting 40%.
That's a lot.
Whatever decisions you think you're going to do doesn't exist anymore.
30 what?
I think like mid 30s.
Mid 30s?
Let me try.
40 of them.
Mid 30.
So if the percentage is not changing, no matter how many getting up, you're still shooting a low percentage.
If I shoot, if I shot 10 at 30%, and I shoot 40 to 55 at 30%, it's the same, huh?
I just think the offense of players just have a lot more leeway today.
That's why it's hard to defend.
There's more points though.
Like he said, back then it was an A move.
Now they're doing B, Steve's moves.
Yeah, they're doing B and C before A.
It's so hard to stop people.
It's going to A, B, C.
When I first came into the league,
you got your A move off.
If you ain't got it, man, swing that shit, bro.
Now it's like, I got the B and the C.
Because you came in what my career was going to tell you.
Hey, young fella.
Hey, I'm coming off.
Oh, hey, I'm coming off, coming this way,
nigga, we didn't ran this pin down.
He's not doing right now.
That was the air though, for real.
I'm in this right corner, nigga, hey, young fella.
No, for real.
It wasn't no B-C.
I'm not out here dancing with you.
I either got to get past you or swing that my father.
Look at this line.
Look at this line.
Tell me how you're going to play this lineup.
You got Derek Fisher and Kobe at the 1-2.
And you got Devin George, Samaki Walker,
and Robert Hoare.
And they shot 13 threes.
Damn.
Derek Fisher shot most of them.
Devin George probably got like three.
He got more.
That's what I mean.
Now Derek Fisher's shooting 10 threes in today's era.
Yeah.
Because we do it.
He gets to shoot 10.
Devin George gets to shoot 10.
Why isn't you named the Phoenix Suns, Rosson, that was shooting a lot of three?
So we, so we, why don't have that problem?
And you see how hard they got.
Why you use the worst?
I used the best team.
That team swept us, so.
Oh, okay, come on.
You said, who was on that team?
And David George made threes, Robert Ory made three,
Derek Fisher made three.
They made enough threes for you to play what?
Yes.
One.
One, no.
Amen.
He doesn't made one.
He doesn't made one.
Let me.
Was the reason they were shooting three is the reason they was winning.
No, but that's the reason they were shooting three is the reason they was winning.
What was the reason they was winning?
Two-pointers.
High percentage field goals.
We're not a three-point shooting team.
No, they was winning because they had 34 down there.
Oh, is that a high percentage shot?
That's what I just said.
That's the highest ever.
That's the highest ever.
But that's the highest ever.
It don't get no higher.
Talking in circles, what are we talking about?
We don't go in circles.
It's a higher place.
It's a layup.
But my thing is, man, we watch these games day and day.
Benix 10-3s.
So we watched these games day in and day.
We shot 10-3s back then?
So here is the issue, right?
So here's the issue.
So we watch the regular season for 82 games.
They play harder right now in the end season turning because they get a little bonus check.
If they played that hard year-round, NBA would be a better product.
But these dudes go 82 games and these guys are scoring at a rampant pace
and defense is not emphasized for most teams.
So you get to the playoffs.
And now you want to start trying to implement schemes, effort, IQ, all these things in a playoff series.
It's not going to work for every team.
Free throws is an issue, right?
Guys filed during the regular season
because they don't know how to play defense.
They're not going to learn how to play individual defense in the playoffs.
So those files, the Jalen Bronsons, the Shays,
all these guys that's high free throw shooters,
Jimmy Butler's and all these guys,
their numbers are going to go up in the playoffs
because these dudes don't know how to play defense in the regular season.
So it's benefiting those guys even more.
So it's not going to change.
The defense in the regular season is not going to change unless individual pride kicks in because, like I said, it's fast-paced.
The rules have been put in to benefit offense in most sports.
So that's what it is.
So they want the game fast in baseball.
They want the game fast in football.
They want the game fast in NBA.
They want all of these things fast.
You can't touch the quarterback.
Defense of pass interference.
So they want the game fast.
They won't touchdowns.
They want three-pointers.
They want home runs.
So it is what it is.
Offense rules, defense is not sexy, we know that, but in order to win, championships and certain, you're going to have to play some defense eventually.
You don't think they'll start for you.
Wait, hold on, hold on, let me read this out for you before you that.
Like that.
They try.
So in our era, the sons, the sons themselves was probably the hardest team to scheme against because they had multiple guys that could shoot the ball.
Yeah.
When any, they had Amari Sotomayor who was a rim threat, right?
That team was very hard to scheme for during regular season.
It was just a nightmare.
What were you about to say?
So this season, teams are averaging 118 points per game.
That would be the third highest all time.
Suns averaged 14 threes a game with that team.
They were averaging last year 42.5.
There was a team who had shot 42 threes.
33.
What I'm saying?
So let me read.
So I'm saying, so now everybody, like, every team is like the sun.
They're playing like the sun.
We couldn't help on anything because you got, if we help try to stop that, there's a three-point shooter right there.
There's a three-point shoulder rolling.
If you flinch, he's dunking.
If you don't pull over, that's a dunk.
If you do pull over, that's a lob.
Right?
I mean, it was just, it was just a difficult thing.
Right.
Right.
It was bad.
Bill stopped spotting up.
I was a fun team.
That's what I was in.
Every team.
So let me have some more context for you.
So 118 points of game would be the third highest total NBA history.
First is the 61-602 season, 118.8 points per game.
Second, 60-61, 118.
1 points per game.
No threes.
37-3s per game now this season with the 118.
Obviously, those paces a lot higher.
Those first two seasons that I mentioned,
they were taking the highest scoring average
108 field goal attempts per game
in 6061 they were taking
109.4 field goal attempts again
37 free throw attempts
30 fast as shit
I thought we played fast in Jersey
thought we played fast in Jersey
yeah yeah not for real
just to say how crazy
I thought we was running
I thought I was on a fast break team
And Tennessee now, right?
So you see that shit old to the 60s?
The 60s.
Like, I thought we were saying, but you hear that shit.
Yeah.
That's more than two shot attempts a minute.
I'm saying, they're going.
That's what I'm saying.
They're getting them up, bro.
It's hard to, but let's switch to the other side of this season.
So this season we've seen a-dverage 29, threes.
How many do we have?
We got 14.
This season, we've seen a trend of teams picking up 94 feet, though.
Going on around the league.
So I think steals rate is up,
turnover's rate is up in this low sample size.
This is from John Hollinger.
So I'm saying it's not like it's a lack of effort.
But these dudes are throwing the ball to the other team.
They implement something because they, with this position, this basketball,
they got guys bringing the ball up the fools, not traditional point guards.
It's throughout the league, right?
So a lot of un-forced turnovers.
It's just what it is, man.
The fastest you play, you're going to make more mistakes.
That's what it is.
The faster you play, you're going to make mistakes.
Master Chef, I see you have raised your hand again.
You could just interject whenever you want to.
I don't let everybody cook and even get my turn.
You know what I'm saying?
I feel like when the players come to the actual bench
and the coach is not emphasizing what they,
let's just say what the stats say.
Stats are going to show us what the game is selling.
So you come to the bench and you say,
guys, they are shooting 59% from the field
and 50% from the three.
What is our solution to this?
We got to slow the game down.
we got to get out to shooters, run them off the line, and we got to make them take non-painted
twos, contested twos, contested rims, layups.
If there's no contested layups, if there's offensive putbacks, if there's no boxing out,
these are all things that result to high percentage shots.
So if they're shooting 59% from the field and 50 from the three, we have to change something.
None of the teams are changing their schemes.
They're continuing to do the same thing every team.
They follow in the template.
The template is it, hey, we're just going to let these guys shoot threes
and everyone shoots threes better than they did before.
So why would we just continue to let guys just hoist up threes?
The percentages is the same, but they're taking more.
That means the points are going to be higher, obviously.
But as a coach, the emphasis has to be on what is working for the other team
and how we stop that.
And I don't think that that's changing anything because you wouldn't put Rudy
go bear in a position to do that way, AR.
You wouldn't put guys in the position to switch off on Luca or switch off on Shay if you
don't have guys packed in to make sure they're passing to the shooters.
And then the effort, the effort to get out to the shooter and get a hand up is different.
The sense of urgency for that is different because it's not emphasized.
You're not being rewarded for your efforts, so why would you go out there and do it?
You don't think they up?
They play it up.
It's just, they should have them have.
Are you being rewarded for having it?
for having a bag or you get rewarded for stopping somebody?
Both.
Both.
I can't tell you.
If you can do both.
You said run the guy off of three.
If you can do both like that boy in Oklahoma City, you get paid.
If you're running everybody off the three, who's protecting the basket?
If we're also in that three point line, then you run me off mine and I'm going to go to make a layup and then you stop me.
That's the three.
We just talked about shell drill yesterday, didn't we?
Yep.
Okay, so what are we talking about?
Excuse me?
We just talked about shell drill.
So if you run them off the line.
You run me off of three.
Help the helper.
I drive.
I drive.
Who's wide open.
So wide over three.
Who's wide open three?
Somebody.
Somebody.
Whoever you want to help.
Who's helping?
Who's helping though?
When you help, what do you do when you help defensively?
Rotate.
You rotate.
So we know that.
So is that not the solution?
Yeah, rotate.
Rotate.
Yeah, you rotate.
Swing, swing. I'm rotating.
I'm rotating.
It's called a scramble.
We're scrambling.
A shooter on the court like before.
There ain't no dead shooter.
There's no more bathees out there with the tween, swing, swing,
anything systematic basketball while I'm shooting.
There's always going to be a threat.
It's always going to be a threat.
I'm waiting.
Run up Jimmy Butler and then help off of Curry.
You're not talking about me.
Fuck Jimmy Butler, we had to do that with KD.
Fuck Jimmy Butler.
We had to do it with KD.
How are we going to stop them?
You did?
Nobody did.
You got to figure it out.
They got to figure it.
God did.
God had to stop him.
Why didn't they go on the feet?
Jesus, how didn't they go undefeated?
Because they got hurt.
Jesus stopped them.
Why didn't they go undefeated?
No team has.
Okay.
You can be beat.
Okay, you can be beat.
You can be beat.
We can stop you.
Yeah, but not in the playoffs they didn't.
The playoffs they didn't.
I mean, they ran.
Oh, you're talking about just beat the team one time.
I thought that's going to talk about.
We beat the sons once.
Shoot.
We beat the one.
I'll be San Antonio once.
During the year they won a championship.
Defense matters.
It matters.
It does.
It doesn't matter.
Like I said, we all know eventually you're going to have to get some stops.
Yeah, that's just what it is, man.
Like, yeah, everybody can't, you just can't go bucket for bucket.
Eventually, you're going to have to put some guys out there, like-minded guys to your point,
game playing.
We're all on the same accord.
We're all taking this shit individually.
Our pride is up here.
We're trying our best to stay in front our man.
We're trying to help do the...
So, yeah, we all, as long as you can, we're all...
All long as you get that effort and all that,
you're going to have some decent results.
Let's play devil's advocate.
Because when some guys are out there playing defense
and they can't hit a corner shot like vandal or some shit,
y'all kill that man.
Yeah.
You all kill that man.
He's trying hard as fuck to play defense.
Put it on.
He can't make a shot, man.
Get this motherfucker.
That's all out here.
Guess what?
Train them.
And guess what?
That's all I here.
Yeah, you're right.
Give me him.
Give me Reggie Evans, give me all of those guys motherfucklers every day.
Hey, give me the muffles every single day.
I'm going to say, all that together.
But the reason it is, if you're not all up together, I need one of them on my team.
I need one.
But that's the same word.
I need one junkyard dog that listen.
You need a lick of a stove.
No, but that's a guy.
He's going to get a little bit of liquor store.
He can't shoot.
The niggas back and that's who's helping on the drive.
Corner niggas can shoot.
He can shoot.
He's a man is the one that's helping stopping all the net.
So he's the one that's getting all a shot.
So if he can't miss a shot,
he'd give me a piece of that, Tucker.
If he can't make a shot, then he's irrelevant at that point.
Give me a piece of a touchdown.
You leave him.
Now, he got two old ones.
Guess what?
And he knows his game whether he's going to, listen, and I respect Vando.
Guess what he ain't going to do.
If he missed one, maybe two.
Then he's going to start back door.
He's going to back door.
He's going to motherfucker, get that bitch and dribble that bitch out the corner,
hand off one in the room, A.R. fucking Luca.
He going, listen, he knows himself.
So I'm not mad at him.
Listen, I know that I'm limited out this bitch.
I'm going to do what I do well.
If you put me in, you know what you get.
If you don't put me in, hey, I want to play, but hey, I get it.
Shit.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
But that's him.
He's on, like, Ben, he gets him out.
He shouldn't be out there if he ain't shooting him.
Yeah, yeah, I need to open.
I mean, like, how many of us really today, if we play today in our prime,
think we can stop some of these guys?
No, anything about stopping him.
How many players do you think you can stop?
Just a little bit.
Huh?
Yeah.
Defensively?
In this current NBA?
Nobody can't stop.
Well, I didn't stop.
But you know what I mean.
I mean, you know.
We definitely got to be in safety.
On the perimeter, I might struggle a little bit.
Austin Reed giving you 50.
Okay.
Huh?
I got you.
Okay.
It's on that way.
Fee and giving you 55.
Fact.
Okay.
I can guard Conley.
I didn't guard Conley.
I didn't guard.
I got Conley.
The old day.
I didn't guard at them top five, six scores in league before, so I know how them niggas get down.
Has there ever been one option that shot over 20 shots and has every point?
Like I shaked out.
That's what I'm saying.
Has they ever been?
I got held to three once.
I got held.
I mean, I didn't take 20 shots, but I did get held to three.
It was a rough.
But you probably shot and missed like nine straight.
It was a rough one at night.
It was playing against, yeah.
It was like, and I asked you all the question.
If you're out there on the island, right, guarding somebody who can really go out there and give you that.
And you're here, I got your help on the left.
I got your help on the right.
Now, hold on, hold on.
Because I'm going to see how y'all be biased with this shit.
Before I even finish, before I even finish, I got help on your left.
I got help on your right.
Hey, listen, go ahead, do your thing.
We got you.
Y'all telling me it don't matter.
Oh, it does.
Okay, so why, okay, what we're about, y'all was about to say some other stuff.
51, 40, 8.9.
I got your help.
I got your help.
I love and I see it.
I got the help.
Hey, hey.
I'm going to tell you what happened.
I got the help.
You got it right.
Yeah, playing D.
As soon as you hear, I got your left.
What does he do?
Move up, son.
Boom.
Don't back up, please, Gil.
Naturally, you hear, I got your help.
You adjust, as soon as I see that foot move,
God's done, and I'm gone.
Good teams, no.
We're going to, hey, he's going to do.
We know, we know he's not going to pass it.
You know, he's not going to pass that, bitch.
As a person with the ball, you're seeing how far that guy really is to see what move you're going to do.
Now they can do this shit.
They could do it.
Before you thought about doing it.
You thought about, like, man, if I dribble too much, man.
I tried and I get stuck with that.
I just like how y'all is acting like y'all don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.
It's weird.
You're trying to do a move like, damn, to a he's like, yo, God.
Everybody is thought today in the base.
That's what I'm talking about.
Back to the Smitty, the half-speed,
they can give you all it is.
I'm like, yo, you ever try to guards?
Steve Francis?
Oh, yeah, man.
I've seen that.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God.
Steve can beat you, bring you right back.
Yeah.
Cross you.
Hey, hey, you beat.
Ha!
Yo.
All right?
Just shoot that.
Shoot the shit out.
Hey, hazy, poofo, boom.
Hands up, stop, stop, stop.
Bring you right back.
Like, have you beat and cross you to bring you back to do the same shit again.
Hey, think about that.
Think about that old two.
Houston Rockies team and put them in today's game.
A bunch of highlights, a bunch of losses.
It was all, every position was one-on-one.
A bunch of fucking highlights, a bunch of fucking losses.
That's what we promote him, bro.
I'm talking about who?
No, you're talking about old.
Talk about today's who.
I don't want to hear about back in the day defense.
You don't want to hear about defense.
We don't want to hear about winning defense.
The defense that O KC was playing.
The defense that O KC, they won the championship was playing.
That's one team.
That's one team.
You're talking about it.
You're talking about the one team.
We're talking about the whole one.
They got a lot of defense.
Why did they win?
Because they played defense.
They have a lot of defenders.
The way they play defense in the old days.
They have a lot of defense.
They got a lot.
They got a lot.
They got a lot.
They got a lot.
They got a lot.
They got a lot of defense.
Watch.
Hey, people shot, man.
Everybody's shooting three on the team.
And they're shooting.
Vando, Caruso.
Close out.
Close out.
Hey, Van derr.
Those two guys, Dort, they wouldn't even shoot in our era.
They wouldn't even get a ball up in our era.
What they need to get a ball for.
What you're talking about, right?
You better get off that.
What you need to shoot for?
What should do you need to shoot for?
Huh?
Man, you shoot.
Them shot.
Now, imagine a lot of people, they're not.
Now, imagine if Caruso and Dort didn't hit shot.
Oh, man.
Now imagine if those guys didn't hit those shots.
shots, now it'd be harder for the guard.
If you know two people aren't shooting in the game,
two defenders that's not shooting in the game,
the reason SGA can do this, do his thing,
is because those two guys let that bitch fly.
So now you have to, like, oh, shit,
I got to play defense a little bit.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, we didn't look up plenty of time.
No, it was easier to defend.
Oh, for six.
Oh, six, and he kept shooting.
No, no, come on in our area,
it was easier to defend, though.
It was easier to defend it.
I mean, I'm not trying to put him,
but I had a guy, like, named him.
I had a guy on my team named Luke Babute.
They will leave him open and just will literally be out there before.
No, no, no, no, I'm just saying, I mean.
No, no, no discipline, this wouldn't be.
Like, he knows what I'm talking about.
Listen, go.
Go pull up to sleep.
Wow, wow, wow, wow.
I intentionally fouled Chuck Hayes.
So he couldn't shoot.
So he can go to the, we need to go to the line to shoot the free throw, bro.
Like, there were guys out.
Yes.
They had that unnecessary reaction to his free throw.
Yes.
I'm saying, no, those guys
out there were going to throw it to the post,
post the man that fade away.
Please don't help.
Hey, you, and I'm,
this is the way it used to go, right?
Please throw it to him.
Y'all run a play.
I'm gonna tell you.
I'm playing behind in the post for a reason.
I ain't trying to front three-quarter.
Please throw it here.
Like, please throw this ball to this boy.
And we were so easy.
And I bet today, they do not hear that today.
It was so easy to guard right then.
We had to hear that.
Help defense.
We had to put it in the zone.
No, they put the zone because of the Shaq.
Put in the zone because of AI.
It was Shaq and Kobe because we couldn't guard the motherfuckers one-on-one
or more because Kobe was going one-on-one and then Shaq was by himself down there.
So the league got scared, so they put a zone in so we can kind of funnel Shaq.
I mean, we can kind of funnel Kobe.
And then we could put one in front of Shaq, one behind Shaq.
I know you wouldn't notice because you wasn't-
You wasn't in the NBA.
To the store Shaq was in the league before he got with Kobe.
And then Kobe turned into what?
Was they playing in a zone then?
No, no.
Okay.
So what the fuck are we talking about?
When did Kobe turn into what?
When did Kobe?
Shaq was playing before.
How about this?
How about this?
Since you wasn't in the NBA venue?
How many years?
When did we put the zone in?
Since I wasn't in the NBA, don't ask me the question.
No, we don't talk.
Yes.
You'll talk.
That's how you switched the goal post.
No, can you talk about some shit that I can't talk about.
Yeah.
Cooking you.
Yes.
When did the zone get in?
Thousand.
Can you, can you, can you, can you, can you,
after Alan Iverson had three straight score titles?
Can you Google it?
Yeah.
What, just Google?
I'm losing, I'm doing it.
Alan I.
He's, just let's go to.
2001, 2002 season.
O two season.
O two season.
Oh, two season, who won three championships then?
Man, they try.
Hey, hey, hey, who won three championships by that, that season after that summer?
The Lakers.
The Lakers.
Who just turned into goddamn black men?
So now there's a Superman and a Batman on the same team.
I thought he was robbed.
I thought he was robbed.
When he was robbing and was man-in-maid's when he turned into Batman.
Zoned him because we can't guard him.
How the fuck you're going to tell us what happened in our league?
Okay.
Our league.
Okay.
This is what we doing?
This is what we doing?
Everybody's saying.
Is this what we're doing?
We start excluding niggas from the purpose.
I mean, it's right.
Let's try it again.
Let's try it again.
What are we're doing?
Let's try it again.
Since you said Alan Iverson, I asked you the year for a reason.
Who won three in a row?
Before that?
No.
Before the championship.
I'm not saying.
Who was the most dominant team then?
And then Kobe became who?
And a 1A?
So you got Kobe as 1A, Shaquille O'Neill is 1B.
We couldn't stop Shaquille O'Neill by ourselves.
by ourselves, we couldn't stop Kobe by ourselves, so they implemented a zone to help everybody.
So if Kobe's over there, we can kind of like here and then everybody in front of shack
because we couldn't guard these two.
That's why I wouldn't know.
Alan Iverson his own record saying, I know what he said that they put in the zone
defense after I averaged X amount of points and all of a sudden for the first time they played a zone.
So let me just tell you this.
So I'm just going to, I'm saying, I brought it up just because that's what Chuck said.
Because what I say don't matter, right?
Because he did play in that lead.
He did play in that league.
I didn't play in there.
Okay, cool.
Take me out the conversation.
No, you're in conversation.
But I'm not sitting here.
So I'm just going to say what he said.
So, I mean, damn.
God.
I'm saying, we can look at what you.
It's weird.
No, but I'm going to tell you right now.
Like, Mike, I'm looking up too bad.
I'm just letting you know facts, right?
I hear you.
Let me know facts.
Hey, I hear you.
I hear everything you say.
We hear you.
No, yes.
Y'all not listening.
I'm telling you.
I'm hearing what you're saying.
But you're saying.
But you're niggas is wow, man.
Like, people argue with niggas that was actually there.
That I actually, I'm a big.
I didn't play the guard position.
I played a power forward position for 15 years.
And I'm telling you, for facts, they did not put that rule in that zone for Alan Iverson.
Can I ask you a question?
When you play a zone, what does the zone do defensively to stop?
What does the zone stop?
Does it stop the post or does it stop the perimeter?
When you're playing against Shaquille O'Neill is, listen.
You're supposed to play a zone because they can't shoot.
Listen, man.
You play a zone because they can't shoot.
And they couldn't shoot.
So if you can't shoot, you play a zone so you can pack in the paint.
Yes.
Right.
So why would they want to pack in the paint?
Why would we play a zone?
So what if they want to pack into the paint?
If we know that this guy out here playing one-on-one is
passing everybody every and we need to pack the pace so he cannot come into the lane.
No, no.
No.
No.
So let me ask you.
Hold on.
I got a problem with you.
So that's the same conversation.
And remember, this same guy averaged more when he was with Orlando.
Same conversation.
He played better when he was in Orlando.
He had put up four numbers where they were not playing a zone.
Can I ask you?
Can y'all riddle me this, right?
They're not telling me exactly what I'm the time today.
From the year 2000, 2000, when I got drafted, right, 01, who was the number one pick?
It was a what?
Big.
No, 02, who was the number?
Big.
No, 3.
Oh, 4.
Braud was big, but still, but the point I'm making is they wasn't picking guards to stop Alan Iverson.
I can tell you that shit right now.
I said on this couch, and I'm going to say it here.
Certain bigs
for a certain period of time in the NBA
old Shaquille O'Neal money, man.
They got drafted
because of him.
Damn their skill set.
Didn't give a fuck if you
listen, if you could walk and chew gum
without falling, you had a good
and you were 611, 7 foot, 7 1,
you had a great chance of being drafted
because of Shaquille
O'Neill. And those guys, that shit
was not working. They put
a fucking zone in, one in front,
one behind, man.
For a reason.
It was running the train on them.
Yeah, yes.
Trying to.
Shit. I'm saying?
Every team had
about four big. Trust me. Listen,
dog. On my team,
Jason Collins,
Alonzo Morning,
DeKinebe,
Evan Eschmire, Todd McCullough, Aaron Williams,
all the five I played with.
And could not, listen, other than Zoa and Beak,
which they were on the other end of their career.
I forgot about DeKinbe.
On the other end of their career.
How do you stop Shaq?
Father time stopped Shaq.
Fowled.
No.
Foul, time, stop Shaq.
Fowling.
And father time.
How do you stop Alan Ivverson?
Father time stopped Shaq.
All the time.
How do you stop Alan Arverson in 1999, 2001, 2002 where he led the league in
Brown?
The zone won in yet.
How?
You put the zone in because you're going to end after that.
After he was laid in leading the league in three years.
He didn't win that, man.
We're talking about the team that won three straight championships, though.
Hold on, why don't.
Let's go back to the guy that's put emphasis on winning, right?
He just said we do all to win and to win and win, right?
So the team that won three championships have the most.
dominant player in the NBA at the time was just Kill O'Neill.
They just won three straight from.
They was winning, playing defense and winning.
They're doing all these things, right?
So therefore, they put a zone in and try to stop skill O'Neill.
It says right here.
Bill Jackson knows how to win, right?
2001, 2002.
Zone defense were officially allowed.
Coaches started testing them, especially to neutralize post-heavy offenses like
Shack and Kobe Lakers.
So in 2002-O-3, the Lakers were one of the main targets for the zone.
They were the most zone.
team in the NBA
when the zone was kicked in.
You're saying zone?
Zone.
In a very unique one.
Average.
Not 76.
A zone.
Alan Iverson led the league and scoring
three straight years.
How were we going to stop him?
We're going to believe what you want to believe.
How are we going to stop him?
Like, you're going to be what you want to believe.
How are you going to stop him?
Damn the facts.
You know, the fucking word is.
How are we going to stop Oliverson?
Like, that's what.
He doesn't understand what he says.
He's, we have Shaq, we can't guard him, right?
Kobe's coming into his own.
After this year, Kobe won, and they said he's A1, the year they all argue about.
Now imagine you have an A1 and a 1B on the same team.
One is a perimeter that nobody can guard by themselves, and then you got Shaq down there
that nobody can guard by themselves.
Zone.
That's when they put the zone in.
Let Derek Fisher shoot.
Let George, George Miking, George Hill, whoever they had on that side, we did not care.
George Miking and George.
We didn't even look that with them.
Kobe got the ball right here.
Both guards are sitting like this.
You got to pay some of these holes.
Please.
Please.
So it's safe to say that the zone defense neutralized shack.
They tried to.
They had to.
They didn't win no more after that, right?
I can tell you that.
Right?
Yeah, he left.
You said everybody was clap for years.
We was all happy.
Did we all stop Flynn?
Do you stop playing the zone?
Do we stop playing zone?
They put it in for, so now you want to change the argument.
I'm asking.
I'm not arguing.
I'm not arguing.
I'm asking the argument.
Because in 2005, Alan Iverson still won the score and
you're changing your stand.
No, I'm not.
Yes, you are.
I said Alan I just staying.
No, I'm not.
So you, so was the zone used a neutralized shack?
If it did.
Did it neutralize them?
Answer the question.
Yes, yes.
Yes.
It neutralized.
That's why it was putting in.
So they put the zone in and it worked.
So Chuck,
Chuck was still a scoring champion.
So the zone did nothing before him or else in the time?
He did nothing before.
He did nothing for T-Macketing.
That's what you're saying.
If it came, if it didn't stop me, it helped.
You tried.
It was never tried.
It stopped the person who it was meant for.
You tried.
It stopped the person who was meant for.
It was meant to neutralize Shack and Slown down Shack and Lakers.
It worked.
It wasn't put in for Al-Anaherson because there was no defense for Al-Anvibis.
Obviously, this is why they were.
put it in. There was no defense for. Obviously, you just
brought my boy. They didn't put his own in for him.
You proved my point. They didn't put a zone in for him. You're trying to change the
argument. So the zone came in to stop the lake. The zone came in the high school.
I'm trying to change the argument. I'm listening to Alan
Iverson saying. So damn the numbers.
I listen to Alan Iverson. So damn the fact that the data said that the Lakers were the
most zone. Because someone pulled up Alan Iverson saying it. So what is the zone?
So what does the data say?
Stop for me, too.
What is the data say?
What is the data say?
I don't know.
He just read the fucking dad.
I know exactly.
So we go with Chuck said with the doubt of saying.
So you go with your answer.
And the masses of everybody that was planned and what the zone was put in for go with that answer.
Go with that.
Cool.
I need the special one you got back in.
I got lean wing.
She'll be here.
The data says the zone was put in for the Lakers and you go out in hours and cool.
You win.
Cool.
They passed that the key.
And they said that's why Phil Jackson was.
asking for better shooters so you can have better spacing for you.
Cool.
Give him destiny.
That's for destiny.
She take care of you for this.
Doing good right now.
That's it.
That's destiny.
2003.
They were most zone team in 2002 and 2000.
You got a destiny.
And that's why Phil Jackson needed more shooters.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But Chuck was still average.
You're nothing.
Chuck was still average 30.
Hey, Gil, it's 1.30.
You're done.
Yeah, I just told him I'm done.
Okay.
Are you ready?
Are you low managing?
Low management.
Can we talk low management really quick when we get to our Halloween segment?
No, there's no Halloween.
Okay.
I said, do no Halloween.
There's a Halloween segment.
All right, we're going to move on to load management.
I'm just getting the producers ready for MJ.
We can get that clip ready.
So speaking of low management, Michael Jordan has continued his insights to excellent series
this week during the NBA on NBC's Coast to Coast, Tuesdays.
So MJ did another interview with Mike Tricco appears to be the same exact interview that they split up into multiple different sections.
So as soon as we get that video ready, let's hear MJ's stance on low management.
It shouldn't be needed, first and foremost.
You know, I never wanted to miss a game because it was an opportunity to prove.
It was something that I felt like, you know, the fans are there that watch me play.
I want to impress that guy way up on top who probably worked his ass off to get a ticket or to get money to buy the ticket.
You really cared about the guy who sat in the top deck at the palace in Auburn Hills to watch you when you came to Detroit?
Yeah, because I know he's probably yelling at me.
I want to shut him up.
He's calling all kinds of names.
I definitely want to shut him up.
You have a duty that if they're wanting to see you and as an entertainer, I want to show, right?
So if the guys are coming to watch me and play, I don't want to miss that opportunity.
Now, physically, if I can't do it, then I can't do it.
But physically, if I can do it, and I just don't feel like doing it.
it, that's a whole different lens.
So we've talked about this here in Gil's Arena,
presented by a hundred-dog woo-woo.
In the sentiment, I think a lot of people think it's the player
saying, no, I don't want to play tonight,
when really it's the teams that are pushing this load management,
which has now been replaced with injury management
as the league is more or less bound the load management side of it.
But do you agree with what MJ said about low management?
It's hard because he's speaking from
the player side of it, where back then, there was no load management.
There was no, let's protect our players for the longer of the investment.
It was, go out there, we're going to push you out there.
Hey, 10 weeks, you know, we're going to turn it into six.
So everybody went out there back then.
The question should have been, have you ever load managed as an owner?
Yeah.
You have Lonzo Ball, I mean a Lemella Ball.
that got hurt, and if you look at his numbers, he was load-managed.
Did he do that himself, or was that you making sure your asset was healthy?
So, you know, most of the time, as you can see, and it backfired, Embed,
never wanted to be load-managed.
He's complaining about his time.
He just complained about it.
So you see he got hurt trying to go out there.
You see Devin Donovan Mitchell tried to go out there to protect his money, got hurt.
You seen Holly, hamstring, came back, got hurt.
So the players are not necessarily in charge of,
can I go out there and do what I want to do.
As players, you don't want to lose your spot.
You don't want to get taken over by another guard
that's out there playing, so you're going to play if you can.
Today's game, it's higher than the player.
So, McHare Bridges, right?
Is he the only one that's exempt?
Iron man.
But do they hire, like,
what I'm saying?
Is he the only one that's exempt from, like, injured?
No, but, no.
Guys can be healthy.
No, guys are healthy, getting healthy scratches.
Oh, I thought it was injured players.
That's what it was to an extent,
but it was healthy guys, too,
that they were just trying to preserve for the lawsuit.
So let's say everybody's healthy, right?
Everybody's healthy in you,
seven games and ten nights,
how we used to have, like the shit we used to have, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We got seven and ten, five and seven.
They're going to sit these guys.
out. But is he, is McKell Bridges the only one that's exempt from that?
That's only a star thing though, right?
Huh?
No.
That's only for stars.
Is it?
Haunted than liquor stoves, it ain't no days off.
It's just like, well, they gotta work 24.
Yeah, because that is.
No designated cause he doesn't sit out at all.
No.
So, like, nobody says anything about low management with him.
Yeah, that's what, so that's why I'm asked.
But you remember, didn't they ask him a couple times?
So definitely, so is it in your thing?
in your so they get so do they come to the player be like you want to sit out night
or do they make a choice for you only this or is it in your contract now no how can i don't
think it's in your contract i mean i'm just because i can't imagine like you come into a guy like
him when he got this street going to be like we're going to sit you out and then you get like
no the fuck you're not right right right right right this is important to me so is it not
that for everybody else yeah see like general manager told me he said we have 82 games
And if I give you 10 years of 82 games, how can I extend?
Like, how many games are just useless?
Thoreway games?
Right?
How many throwaway games are out there?
So they came up with the number about 65.
Okay.
Right?
So they're like, okay, if we take these off, we can add them to the back end of your career.
Now that's why you see.
But how many games that add up to everybody's not going to make that long?
That's about three, four more years of your prime.
It depends.
For the SARS.
That's why a KD looks like this, the step looks like this.
Like, if you look at them.
years, they're, they're being added in the back end.
You know what I mean?
So that's, that's why our game, that's why the game is.
I hear you, but just like, so you low managing KD.
right?
And he goes down with the Achilles thing.
Just imagine if he never comes back and plays, then it's pointless.
But if a guy goes down, you're going to get, if you get hurt.
It's just, I hear you get it, but it doesn't make logical sense to me.
I hear you, I hear you, I'm just saying from 2017, 18 season, the most Curry played
your 69 games because injuries and and other things.
I think low management is bullshit.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Yeah, they, for sure, her do is that.
Yeah, see, I know that.
Like him, yeah, you, the way he fucking plays the game,
you have to get the game, you have to,
you have to, because he can't sustain that.
Yeah.
And, Steph, all that.
When I was there, they're training, it's training in some, I don't know,
man.
They knew where they was going to be in the player.
Yeah.
But they were low managed during the season,
because focus on a bigger picture.
They got 100 games for sure.
They don't practice, but the thing is, you don't fucking practice.
Right.
So they don't practice.
So that's the time to rest.
So that's the time to rest.
You're not practicing during the season.
They're not practicing or playing.
They're not.
No, they're practicing or planning.
So how much rest do you actually need?
You ain't practiced.
How much rest do you actually really practiced, like, hard and shit?
But we like, bad teams?
Bad teams?
Bad teams practice.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
We were 5 and 23.
They practiced.
If you were, if you being coached by Nate,
Macmilly, motherfucker. You was practice. Don't get fucking. How many wins?
Well, now, like, they'll just be sure you still in condition, you get your shots up, go through your shit, yeah, and go through the play.
And they stay getting hurt.
Chef Larry.
Yes.
But what year did load management come into play?
I have no idea.
2017.
No, it didn't.
It was before that.
I think pop started.
Just put a name on it.
I think pop started.
They put a name on it.
I got load management.
What year did load management come to prominence in NBA?
I haven't.
I don't know.
They started around 2010-ish, but that's like with Pops.
I remember they had that one game where they flew everybody back and they played
the heat and I'm almost in there beating the heat.
I think with the, you know, it had like...
There was a year before that OKC went to the championship, he kind of got mad that he felt
he got cheated out of the West Ham.
So when they played Miami, he sent these people back home and said, if y'all wanted
to see this, you've already seen in the championship.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Gangsta.
I was gangster.
That was a lot.
That was good.
Modern NBA practice of Lowe's management rose to prominence around two.
2017.
Cool.
The same?
Didn't that the word I just used?
Didn't that the word I just used?
Before you said no.
No, we said 2010.
And you had to add that extra.
The same year the league implemented new rules to limit how and win players and teams rest players.
While the concept of resting players had existed for longer, it's popularization as widespread strategy is linked to the late 2010.
So we're going to go from that.
That's cool.
The next year in 2018 was the first partnered sports betting operator.
Deal, load management, sports betting.
How does sports betting benefit from load management?
Anybody have any idea?
No.
Is your point, nigga?
We got to ask.
We got to ask Damien John.
Nick, you're making the point?
I'm asking the question.
We didn't ask you making the point, nigga.
Y'all don't got the answer.
No, it's your fucking statement,
we're not looking on the thing.
Because I'm asking a question
to the smart guys on the fucking panel.
Everybody got an answer for every fucking thing else.
You got no answers now?
Nobody got no answers to what?
Why they would actually have the deal
of partnering with a sports betting company.
You tell us.
How does load management affect
bedding?
Riddle me that.
You're not going to play tonight.
Okay.
What am I going to do?
Bet on somebody else?
Yes.
Like, when, Leen-Lean ain't always ready.
They got to go to the same.
They got to bat.
LeBron ain't play that shit.
Let me take this Austin Reeves home.
Isn't that what happened?
Yeah.
No, we don't know now.
I said, yeah.
I said, yeah, I get it.
I said, you know, I'm on my takes.
It's cool.
What we're trying to make you.
It's going to be like taking it to somebody else.
It's cool.
It's cool.
Like, you want to answer something random so you should.
These are obvious.
These are things that already came out.
Okay.
What are we talking about?
So you're saying it's a direct correlation?
No, I'm not saying nothing, man.
Go ahead.
I'm get it.
Nothing.
So you're not saying today with direct correlation?
And he didn't get the truth today.
Y'all be playing done when I'm trying.
Y'all be playing smart.
Y'all be playing smart.
What point are you making?
Like I said, it was your point.
I don't know the answer to it.
So you were reading it.
I'm making you cook.
Food on fire.
Yeah, the food on fire.
He ain't got to cook today.
Yeah.
Like I'm trying to make your point.
You know who in there.
You know who in there.
Overcooked.
You know who overcooked.
You know who overcooked.
That is not an answer.
He's so overcooked.
Earlier.
Go ahead.
Get your ass up out of here.
So you're saying low management and sports management direct correlation?
I'm not seeing nothing.
I do what y'all on.
I see what y'all on.
I'm asking the question.
I see what y'all low.
It's cool.
I see what y'all.
Are you saying it's a direct correlation?
Not saying nothing, man.
Y'all got it.
He's reading from here.
Y'all got it.
It ain't no answer, but he wanted us to answer.
It's the question.
We didn't go in there.
I asked you the question.
We don't know the answer.
You do know the answer.
You know the answer.
So he's in the direct correlation is what you're saying?
You know the answer.
Is the answer that you're saying
it's a direct correlation?
No, it's not.
Go ahead, Joe.
So I'm trying to answer the nigger question.
But you wasn't trying to answer the question
when I asked.
I'm asked.
You was reading this shit.
Tell us.
If you're not telling us,
so I'm asking the question.
Now you want to answer it, though.
It's a direct correlation?
I don't want to answer it because
I don't want to answer.
We already said if we just are going to bed
somebody else.
I thought I answered it.
All right, well,
my mouth.
Let's keep this thing moving on a positive note.
It is Halloween.
You see all these spider webs and decorations covering the arena.
So we're going to end the show today with a special segment.
We're calling scare or dare.
Care or dare?
We got some crazy shit going on here.
It's simple.
We're going to go around.
The circle on my ass, you scare or dare.
Hey, how are you doing?
Sam.
I brought some really spooky friends with me today.
Yeah, yeah.
Good.
Get that news it away from me.
I heard you want to see him.
I do not.
No, no.
They go horrible.
He don't see little idiot, pity.
That's true.
Let me ask him a question before you get started.
What do you think that little thing?
He's more afraid of you than you are getting.
No, he's not.
Yes, he is.
Guarantee, if you put it down and you walk towards, he's going to run.
He will run.
Absolutely.
It looks like flare off to try to show he bigger than he is.
Can I see him?
But guarantee you he will run.
This guy's name is bloody.
No, he got this thing on his one of them, listen.
You can even feed him some worms.
I have.
I'll take them.
Yeah, I love it.
Buddy, you're going to mess around and get so long.
You'll put right on your hand.
See, that's what happens when you...
When you in a...
When you're in the...
When you're like looking at you guys, yeah.
You used to rats and roaches in.
He's going to look on over.
There you go.
Y'all, I'm a private school baby.
You hungry?
Yeah, right.
You have reptile parties in my house for the ears.
So this guy's a bearded dragon from Australia.
You guys want to see him?
No, sure.
I'll take another worm.
Oh, I love it.
I love it.
Go for it.
You'll eat more than one.
You should put a...
One than one.
Put one in like a spaghetti.
Like a spaghetti.
You know?
He said like a spaghetti.
A noodle.
A noodle.
No, no, no.
You don't want that?
Well, no.
Your hands are tucked.
Pimps and lizards don't mix.
We're over here.
Yeah?
No, no.
All right here.
Grab a worm.
Here.
What up, big guy?
Oh my God.
Ah!
Yeah, he got .
There you go.
There you go.
There you go.
My ass fell, Mr. Dones.
He's thinking.
I got bitten in the ass today, sir.
But closer to the eyes, I don't go for.
Shit, I said, dark, please.
Please, please.
There we go.
He going to eat it now.
Okay, yum, yum.
You don't want that one?
He said he's full.
Yeah.
Nope.
He's picking him.
Y'all got anything else.
Oh, there you go.
Worms in the house now.
Yeah.
We got two more things we're going to see.
On this.

Okay, now the woo-whoops are good.

Swaggy, touch the lizard.
Man, give me that goddamn lizard.
Hey, that lizard is looking at king, like,
I knew you from someone.
Yeah.
I touch the next thing.
Got to watch you, Nick.
You're going to touch the next thing?
If you got the same type of thing.
Swaggy, in this era of seven,
you're ready to touch the next thing that comes out.
Are you sure?
We have one more surprise.
Maybe one more.
I don't know.
Good to see you, buddy.
I don't like lizards, snakes.
All right, little things.
I can't deal with roaches, rats.
I killed the lizard yesterday.
I'm running.
Oh, like sea turtle.
There's a lot of stuff I don't like.
Is it in the house?
Yeah.
On the bed.
A roach out in the bed.
A lizard on the bed.
A lizard.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Smash him up blood stain.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, they leave them.
You need little boys around here, see, listen.
I bring cash over here.
Cash or come over them up, pick him up.
Hey, look what I got.
Yeah.
Dirty little boys, man.
Hey.
We got one more surprise.
They'd be at the school picking them up and all kinds of shit.
I got scared.
I pulled the tail off of one at school.
Right, yeah.
I mean, what's up?
They're pulling the tail off of the school.
They're pulling the tails off of them and all.
The first thing to go.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, absolutely.
We'll see what's going down.
Damn kids, man.
I better.
They ain't got no peep.
Y'all play too much here.
Please.
Oh, ah!
Yeah, we're not.
Yeah, oh, no thank you.
Nope.
Not today.
They bite?
No, you're good.
No, they ain't.
This is Chico, this is Gizmo.
They're ball pythons.
Hey.
What are their name?
Chico and Gizmo.
Chico, run!
Run, Chico!
Run, Chico!
Man.
You got him, you go.
You got him.
You got him.
You got a necklace, too.
I can put him right this boy.
Oh, it's going to choke you.
On try?
You gonna do what, Nick?
You know that's poison.
What's poison?
I just gotta take it off like that.
Here, yeah, you can get two other time if you want.
Oh, you're about to choke the shit out.
One, one, one, fine.
Okay, okay.
All right, all right.
If you do it, if you die,
come on, let me do it.
Die with me, swag.
Stay calm, but he ain't big enough.
You're ready?
Okay, gizma.
Oh, no, it's gonna, it's gonna be good.
It's gonna be good.
Give you a hug.
Don't you're cool.
You all, brother.
You all right, brother.
Okay, okay, okay.
Okay, okay.
Oh my God.
No, for real.
Oh, my God.

I feel like I'm looking at him, man.
Look at it, oh my God.
All, please, get it.
Get it, get it, get it, get it.
It's like, man, ah, ah.
That wasn't pimping.
It's like.
That's not pimping.
That's not pimper.
Oh, he's so gentle.
Oh, that shit.
He's chilling.
Yeah, you're good?
No, you're good?
No.
Yeah, I'm not.
Come on, Gil?
I'm thinking more.
Come on, Gil.
I'm thinking one.
Shit not bad.
I'm just got a bird.
That's why I'm the frozen man.
Oh, that's it.
There you go.
We have ripped my kids at the house.
Hey, awesome.
Hey, awesome.
My kids are normal.
They just want to skateboards and stuff.
These people make some nice things,
so cold.
It's so cold.
They are more afraid of you than trust me.
Not that shit.
They're good.
I want one.
My wife won't let me have one, so.
Smart woman.
No, she's terrified.
We're here.
All right, we have kids, yeah.
Me and my, listen, me and the kids want one.
She's like, I'm not in this house.
Round your neck.
She's like, not in this house.
Pimp down, pimping in distress.
Damn, I am.
Shout out to the chat.
You know who the, I appreciate y'all.
Got that shit in their blood.
They're in this.
Halloween edition.
Gilles Green to present by Underdog Woo-W-W-W.
Pull up.
There we go.
Now y'all locked in.
The snakes did not say woof-woof.
They did not woof-woof.
I'm going to have to give me one of them.
Never held the snake before.
No way.
Me too.
I've never.
I've never.
That's my first.
I'm like, I'll low-key one.
That's the other one over there, that other one.
Yo, I have one that could eat, listen.
I held one that could eat one of us.
That's what you say.
So where you say?
Are you from?
Where are you from?
I grew up in Florida.
Okay.
Yeah.
So you're local?
No, I am local.
Yeah, I'm in LA.
Okay.
Yeah.
So I'm been trying to get out to, there's a popular reptile two, like an hour and a half away.
Yeah.
I know you're talking about.
Yeah.
So I follow him on phase.
Yeah, he got some stuff out there.
I like that.
Yeah.
Big, big, big, big snakes.
Yes.
One of us.
So you have one more surprise for us, I'm told?
Yes, I do.
Sounds good?
Yes.
All right.
Do we got to get to trick or treat?
That shit felt so cold, bro.
Let me sit your ass down, man.
You're embarrassing my pippin out here.
Pimping has been embarrassed.
Where the dogs at?
Y'all told him I can't bring Jack in here.
I'm out.
Y'all said, I can't bring Jack, so y'all want dogs?
You're the dog, motherfucker.
You're not to worry about a dog biting your ass.
You're the dog.
Dog under the bed.
Look at it.
You're the dog, motherfucker.
What's she blinking down?
My teammates, like, yo, man, how they gonna stop me?
Like a parent?
You don't know, like, grab a parent.
Mm.
Mm.
Bringing a big-ass eagle.
Okay, it's taking too long.
You don't take that long to get a little lizard.
You ain't gotta play me straight up one-on-one.
Now, four support titles.
Oh, hell dog.
Now you're tripping.
Hey, what the fuck.
Now you tripping.
This is silly.
Chili. Chili's a Dumeril Boa from Madagascar.
Okay, take his ass back to Madagascar.
Yeah. All right. Who wants her?
You tell her take her out right back.
Love it. Here.
Man, that's crazy.
That looks like an anaconda.
It's a boa.
It's snakes out there this big?
God damn.
It's bigger than that, bud.
Why y'all running?
Shout out high school.
That's nice.
That's nasty.
So what's the biggest snake on record?
On record?
I mean, we have a ton of boats, but those are gone.
Andaconda.
I got that.
Yeah.
Particularly the pythons, like in the Everglades.
They're huge.
They're huge.
18, 20 feet.
Yeah, exactly.
18 to 20 feet.
I think Anaconda with Jayla on Ice Cube back in the theater and I'm good.
Yeah, 18 to 20 feet.
I'm surprised you ain't got now.
You live by yourself.
They're brothers.
That's crazy.
We're happy and we're singing.
Good work.
You just keep the snakes at the crib?
I'll try.
I'll try.
Go for it.
Go for it.
Yeah.
They're great.
There's a booth right.
Yeah, no, they're good, man.
Y'all.
If you do it, I do it right now.
No, I'm going to put it on.
I'm going to put it on.
No, I don't want to, because if I touch it,
if I touch it and do something, I got to deal with him.
I'm like, p.
You are, yeah?
Choke his ass.
Choke his ass.
Choke his ass, can you?
Choke his ass with a snake.
Oh, ooh, ooh.
Can you look like?
Ooh.
Get that motherfucker to me.
Get that shit to me.
Get that shit to me.
If I drop it and stop it.
You start roaming around your house.
And you drop it, I'm out.
It's stupid.
I throw that motherfucker at you.
You want to be?
Yeah, I see it.
No, no, no brain.
Please don't throw it.
No.
Not on duty.
Not on duty.
That's the one that can choke you, right?
Yeah.
No, he's big.
He's cool.
Yeah, he's big enough to.
Yo.
Yeah, he's big enough to.
I'm saying?
Gil.
Yo, he's big enough to choke shit out.
Y'all hear a snake?
I don't know.
It's that big?
Oh, come on, man.
I don't want this big little.
Come on, man.
You're right.
It's good.
It's good.
I feel it.
I feel it.
It's good.
You're good.
It's good.
No.
Man.
Taking a turn.
It's talking to me.
Yeah.
There you.
Last down.
Oh, gil.
Anyone else?
Gilber.
Come on.
Throw that gill.
Come on.
Come on.
Just throw that gill.
No.
Come on.
I'm going to bird.
I'm going to do it.
I hear you.
I got you.
I'm doing for real.
Yeah, let's go, Nick.
Let's go, Nick.
Come on, Nick.
Come on, man.
Let's go.
Let's go.
You're already there.
You're already there.
You're already there.
Why are you coming this way?
Do you eat bite?
No.
It's a snake.
Oh, yes.
That snake's bite.
He has teeth.
A snake bite.
No, she's nice.
No, she has her teeth.
She used to eat, but she's not going to bite.
I trust this girl, trust me.
How do you know that?
Because she has.
She does a lot of shows with people.
She's in like over 3,000.
Okay, she's well-trained.
She's a good girl.
She's trained girl.
She's trained girl.
Never, not once.
Dead serious.
And if she did, she ain't going to tell you.
I'm trying to tell you on this.
I do it.
Come on in, the dog don't bite it.
You're good.
You're good.
I promise you.
Here.
Well, hold her and I got our head.
Okay, yeah, yeah.
Not the head, though.
The head is facing that way, fool.
Okay.
There, he's facing me.
No, look.
He's like, d' thing.
What's your face?
That's it.
Oh, boys, man.
We're not built for all this.
We're from California.
Y'all got snakes out here.
We got back yard.
Y'all got rattlesnakes.
Y'all got snakes that could actually
fucking kill you out here.
Them is cool.
They got rattlesnakes.
Y'all got snakes.
They can be fucking over.
They got rattlesnakes.
Oh, I've seen three at my house.
Yeah.
Yes, rattlesnakes.
You don't go outside.
We know.
We appreciate you.
Bye, everyone!
Why did y'all do that?
Snakes on the arena.
Damn, Halloween?
If I wanted to go to the zoo for Halloween, I was...
Get these motherfucking snakes out this motherfuckin arena.
That was fire.
I like that.
It is Halloween later, Joe.
Like that on this show gift.
Tomorrow's Gil.
Todd looking like that.
Oh, shit.
Man.
On that, no.
Yeah, that wasn't going.
That wasn't going.
On that, that's good.
I got scared two for a little bit.
I was like, yeah, that's tough.
I was like, yeah, that's cool.
We appreciate all y'all for pulling up to our Halloween special.
Thanks to everybody in chat.
Thank you to the good folks over at Underdog.
Everybody have a safe and blessed Halloween tomorrow.
But this has been another episode of Gilles Arena, presented by Underdog.
