Gil's Arena - Gil's Arena TROLLS The Celtics For Choking Game 1

Episode Date: September 10, 2026

Gil's Arena Reacts To A THRILLING Night of NBA Playoff Basketball as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew return to the arena and break down an incredible night of upsets in the 2nd Round of the NBA ...Playoffs. They start things off with the reigning champs as the Boston Celtics choked away a 20 point 2nd half lead to fall to the New York Knicks in overtime and discuss if this win for New York showed more about the Celtics or their feisty opponent. They also break down how the Celtics' affinity for shooting 3 pointers at a high clip came back to bite them on an off night for Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown and debate if Jalen Brunson is the perfect leader for this Knicks squad. They predict if this Game 1 upset will carry the Knicks throughout the series before turning their attention to the West, where Nikola Jokic shined and set up Aaron Gordon for another game winning shot to carry the Denver Nuggets over the OKC Thunder in Game One. The Gil's Arena Crew debates what has gotten into Gordon after hitting multiple game winners this season and highlight how Nikola Jokic's insane stat line and ability to coach the team after the firing of Mike Malone is proving he's the NBA's Best Player. Finally, they give Gregg Popovich his flowers after the legendary head coach announced his retirement this season and discuss his incredible impact on the game of basketball, before giving their series predictions for the matchup between the Golden State Warriors & Minnesota Timberwolves. Starting point is 00:08:10 basketball in just a moment. But today, Netflix released Untold Shooting Guards. The story of how a wager between Wizards, teammates, Gilbert Arenas and Javars Crenton went too far. So here is the trailer for the film. That was the trailer from Untold
Starting point is 00:08:26 Shooting Guards, now streaming on Netflix. So good what was it like to put yourself back in that situation for this document? Like, I never left. Stop, man. Stop. No. That's serious, man. That's why I got in trouble, right?
Starting point is 00:08:44 Can't take shit. No, it was good, man. Like, I did it. I did the doc, you know, because of Javaris, right? You know, this is one of them things that, you know, you know, I could have told a story a long time ago and had it be a one-sided story, but I just didn't think that was fair to someone else who was part of it. So, you know, I was waiting to, you know, he got out and then we can, you know, tell our story together
Starting point is 00:09:15 because there's so many moving parts. But me telling the story, you know, with last year versus when I first retired, very different outlook. You know, when I was in a real dark place and, you know, thinking, you know, the world was against me, it could have went down a real bad rabbit hole, you know, so, you know, but, you know, I liked it. I stayed up to 12, you know, to watch it. Oh, man. Hey, man, I see you. I see you in your head.
Starting point is 00:09:49 I see you in your ghetto break. What was that? You had your ghetto break? What was that? I was going through a deep heart. Oh, I'm going to say, don't you ever. Don't you ever could on a dark looking like, too. I was fucked up too. I was just aptly.
Starting point is 00:10:02 I was up to fuck them too. I could have did not community too. That's the story reason why I never got to play at that, motherfucker. When I went to the Wizards, that shit was mayhem because of all that shit. Oh, you was right after? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:16 That shit was... No, it was good, though. I saw it. That's dope. Man, brother, I'm sorry, man. No, I saw it. You drafted me in the big three. You know, dark. You know, dark.
Starting point is 00:10:26 You're right. Being dark at that time, boy. They ain't one of us. For sure. I was the casualty all that shit. Yeah, I ain't going to. I walked into the Wizards' locker room. This nigga was acting hurt and shit.
Starting point is 00:10:41 I said, where up? What I'm at? Where I'm at, man? Acting. Fing. He was like, my knee. I said, him and Dre Blatch. I was like, oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:10:51 I had my stats. He was done. They was trying to... I'm averaging 17. I ain't messing with me at the time. You know, they traded Brown. him in, they're trying to push me to the back. I'm like, I ain't going to mess up my 18.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Hey, hey. He's a smart man. I wish I knew that thing. That's up. So, y'all's going to ask you, but I already know the answer. But how much have you changed since the gun incident in the Wizards Locker? I don't know. I ain't played cars since.
Starting point is 00:11:23 I have not played no car since. Do have battle mode. Hopefully battle mode does not get it. No, I mean, it was never really a problem. He's not. No, it was never really. about, you know, have you seen it? It wasn't about actually gambling.
Starting point is 00:11:37 It was more about, you know, just, you know, respecting teammates when you're angry, you know. And also weapons. Your collection. You see that? Transporting. You see that, that tiger. That tiger was hard.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Boy, couldn't find that nowhere. Man, I was mad when he took that one. The wizard's probably better off not letting you travel to the Phoenix Suns games. I remember some of them, but there was a gold I mean, you know, Gold Desert, he's a little, you know, Smith and Weston 500. You can't shoot that. That shit looked like it was 1975.
Starting point is 00:12:11 How old was you? No cameras was. When he was a kid? Oh, you see, you see? Hit the game winner, you know, three on three hoop it up. I was in early. Damn, I was in early. That was in three, hoop it up.
Starting point is 00:12:25 But for everybody out there, make sure you check out Untow's Shooting Guards, now streaming on Netflix. So let's keep this movie yesterday. was the Met Gala in New York City. So this year's dress code was tailored for you. Was basically paying homage to tailoring black style, exploring the history of black dandyism, whatever that means. Have no clue.
Starting point is 00:12:48 But stars to utter affair, as it always is. So let's take a look at some of the fits and see what our resident fashion designer, Mr. B, has to say about them. First up, we have director and Nick Superfan, Spike Lee, along with his wife, Tanya Lewis Lee. In their fits he got the next cap on It's normal doing what he do We also have a representative normal I mean that's pretty normal for what they're going it's supposed to be a little bit more crazy
Starting point is 00:13:15 Yeah, you're supposed to be going crazy for his fit man. You got to be a better designer Extraordinary expert bro come on break it down. What is he wearing? A black come on man, what is he wearing my niggas? What is she wearing? What are we doing? We supposed to be listening to the Grammy red carpet right? I'm black. I'm on man. What is he wearing? What are we doing? We're supposed to be listening to the Grammy red carpet right? now. Dandy? What's dandy? Like the jiggle-boo outfits?
Starting point is 00:13:36 I don't think it's the jiggle-boo outfits. Like Dick Tracy? It's a style of attitude characterized by exaggerated attention to personal appearance and manner, often associated with a fine taste and a sense of self-expression. Again, do you know what any of that shit means? But those words look good. The word whatever you want. Where would you dig?
Starting point is 00:13:58 Express yourself. Yeah, express yourself. So next up we have WMBA All-Star Angel Reese Oh yes, you're out there? Oh yeah, I like that I ain't doing her thing okay I like that all black You're rocking with the fitness yeah I like the hair everything Okay so next up we have artists and visionary Andre 3000 is that part piano on his back
Starting point is 00:14:21 Let's go I mean That's a photo that's a photo That's a real that's a real no that's real no that's real No, that's real. Came with a piano. No, what I'm saying? Is that a trash bag? They didn't let him.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I didn't let him. Black, just black trash bag. Yeah, he did. Yeah, he did. You can't get in the door with that. Politiago. You can't try it. You gotta take it off.
Starting point is 00:14:46 You gotta go in like this. You gotta take it off. They gotta roll it in. No way. You can't walk in with that. Apparently, he's also too. Now that's very Andre Thucan. He's in that bag.
Starting point is 00:14:55 That bag. What's in that bag? There's in that bag. There's not been no sandwiches sitting in there. There's not been no sandwiches sitting in there. What's in the box? That's a trash bag though. Come on, man.
Starting point is 00:15:05 That's a glad. It looked like a fucking... Upcoming, seven piano sketches come from Andre 3000. Like a parachute, man. Then we have producer, artist, Louis Vuitton, creative director, Farrell. The pearl. The pearl. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Yeah. Yeah, that's, I mean, yeah. I mean, he and the Louis V. Yeah, I'm rolling. Coat. You got a pearl jacket. That's all pearl. Yep.
Starting point is 00:15:29 And last thing, we have rapper. Actor of Fashion icon, ASAP Rocky. Let's take a look at ASAP Rocky's fit. He killed it. If we can, please, Mr. Powell. He's getting it right. You know, Louis Vuitton, man, going crazy lately. That's Aesap Rockies fit at the Met Gala,
Starting point is 00:15:47 which none of us were invited to. That's definitely something I would wear. Is that a gun? Yes. On the umbrella. Yeah, because he just got off. That's funny. Right?
Starting point is 00:15:57 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. See, he do the shit I do. the shit I do. 50 games. Petsion in coming. 50 games incoming.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Get your ass in trouble. Showing his partner, yeah, brother. And quick, if we could put a camera on Gil, Gil, your fashion choice today, you got the Hardin's and the Hardball jersey. Yeah. G-baby?
Starting point is 00:16:16 G-baby. Got the G-baby? He got the G-baby. You got the G-baby. You're going to have people doing the age of Braves like that. G-baby. That's a piece of legend, G-baby.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Yeah. So, yeah, like I said, we were not invited to the Meggala yet again. Mr. B, hopefully one day you'll get the invite for us out there and represent Gilles Rina
Starting point is 00:16:33 and present about underdog Woo-Woo. So first and last people we showed here are from New York. So let's discuss New York's basketball team if we can.
Starting point is 00:16:42 If you watch this show yesterday, you heard both Swaggy P and Mr. B say the Knicks don't have a chance against the Celtics in the Eastern semis.
Starting point is 00:16:49 You guys just say that we could play the tape if you'd like or you can just on the tape. Don't play it in your mind. Everybody go back and watch
Starting point is 00:16:56 yesterday show after this show. Leave it up for the entire time. Also said Jalen Brayette. Johnson has not been the best guard in the 2025 playoffs thus far. That was the criteria.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Best guard, you guys did not agree. Would those words ring true in game one? Let's take a look at the highlights. So Celties went four and O against the Knicks in the regular season. So surely they were going to cruise here or so they thought. Jason Tatum came out hot scoring 14 points in the first quarter on 4 for 8 shooting. For the rest of the game, though, Tatum scored nine more points on 3 for 15 shooting. He ended the night with 23 and 16 rebounds.
Starting point is 00:17:31 He was four of 15 from three. Jalen Brown had 23.7 rebounds at five assists, struggling from three-point range as well, like many of the Celtics did last night, going one for 10 on the night. Derek White had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Drew Holiday added 16 and six rebounds of his own. Chris Stap's Porzingis, also known as Tingis Pinguish,
Starting point is 00:17:49 left in the middle of the game with an illness, did not return. Celtics looked good early, leading by 16 points at halftime. At half Celtics were shooting 5 for 23 from 3 point range, 22%, but it was not. a huge concern since they were up big at that time. Boston's league got as high as 20 points in the middle of third quarter. Swaggy Pete put the broom emojis in the Girls Arena group chat at that point,
Starting point is 00:18:11 but the Knicks had other ideas. New York, Surge had the lead to nine points by the end of the third quarter. O.G. Ananobe had 29 for the game, including 20 in the third and fourth quarters combined. Jalen Brunson had 29 as well, including 20 in the third and fourth quarters combined. Kat was in foul trouble for most of the night, but still managed to get a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Josh Hart, 14 and 11 rebounds. So Brunson scored eight straight points late in the fourth quarter to give the Knicks a 97-91 lead. Celtics went on a 7-0 run to take the lead back at 98-97.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Brunton found Nolbe in the corner for a three to give the Knicks a two-point lead. But Drew Holliday tied the game with the driving layup. Tatum, pulled up for three in a tie and missed giving the Knicks a chance to steal it later in the game. They did not. Brunton had a great look to floater, but missed the game. Winters sent the game to overtime. In the OT period, Knicks outscored the Celtics 8 to 5. McHale Bridges, two critical steals in a corner three that swung the momentum in the Knicks during that OT.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Bridges played 51 minutes, ended with 8.7 assists, six rebounds in three steals. So, Missed threes were the story of this one for the Celtics. Celtics, 15 for 60 from the three-point line, 25 percent set an NBA record with 63-point attempts, set an NBA playoff record with 45. miss threes. No, no, you didn't write what I said when he put the broom. What did you say when Swaggy put the broom?
Starting point is 00:19:36 I said, if the Nick shot free throws better, Knicks can win this game. Boston's having that horrible three-point game that 10 for 40 stat. You did reply with that. We do have the time stamps on it for any who doubt.
Starting point is 00:19:53 You had to make sure the people knew you put... No, because I heard... He said yours. Put the broom. No, because you didn't have to jump in on my situation. I just wanted to make sure. You did put brooms in the group.
Starting point is 00:20:05 You put brooms in the group? It's still brooms. Gentlemen sweet. Like I said, Celtics' playoff record, 45 missed threes in the game. Yeah, talking about it. Was game one more about the Knicks comeback or the Celtics choking and living and dying by the three? I ain't Celtics choking in, you know? Just a little rusty, that's all.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Just getting the rust out. Getting the rust out. Yeah. Jason Taylor would be throwing hell man. three is up. That's my only thing. I still think they are championship team, but he got to stop going to the hell, Mary. Four for 15 from three in the game for Tatum. A lot of those questionable. Yeah. Yeah. Especially late in the game. I mean, I like the next fight, but I still see the next one in the series, though. Yeah, they miss a lot of threes, but they won't shoot like that again next game.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Mr. Cemetery, Larry, former Celtics fan, current Knicks fan, the battle of your two, your two teams. Do you feel like you made the right decision? After the Celts won the championship, last summer, you said, see y'all later, I'm going over, taking my talents to the Big Apple, New York Knickerbockers. They get the win in game one. Was this win about the Knicks and their big comeback or the Celtics choking? Hi, I'm Larry.
Starting point is 00:21:26 By the way. I make predictions, and they come to four. Fewition. That's just how it go around here. I mean, you got to get used to it I tell y'all some shit y'all fucking listen and give me credit what I'm fucking right Thank you Brendan yesterday you held it down by what you said Rashad said that buddy would do what he did buddy did what he did The next is doing what they doing like I said Let's go live by the three die by the three
Starting point is 00:22:05 They're gonna keep doing the same shit till they make them. And that same thing happened to me at 24 the other day. I was up 10 to 3, underestimated him. I ended up losing the game of 13. Kept shooting 3. It's bullshit. So it happens, you know. You get comfortable, you up 20.
Starting point is 00:22:27 You start throwing up shit, and then next thing you know, you lose. Man, it's over here. So that was a decision you made. Well, you know. To be on the losing end of the game. No, it just happens. You know, fucking around.
Starting point is 00:22:44 They stole them. And then that's like the basketball guys messing with like, just because you did this, I'm going to let this happen, you know. Guess what happens when you fuck around? It's all right. You know what happens next. You fucking find out, nigga. It's called fuck around and find out.
Starting point is 00:23:01 They didn't even come back when Brunson was in the game, too. You know, Bronson came in when they was probably down six, you know, kind of saved the day a little bit. Mm. Mm. But the only thing I'm kind of mad about is Jason Tatum taking that three for game. I feel when you got cat on you and you J.T. I think you should be able to take him to the hole, get a better shot.
Starting point is 00:23:28 But those are the type of things that's going to make Jason Taylor to be like LeBron, one of the most hated because of them type of shot. shots you shot for game. So they're going. What was Jalen Brown from the field? Jalen Brown was 7 for 20 in the game 1 for 10 from 3. They both was trash. So there ain't nobody else to take that last shot, really.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Both the J's, 46 points, but they were 14 or 43 from the field. 3 for 15. A lot of quick shots, too. Did he say he was still? White shot, white shot, a lot of quick shots. Tatum 4 for 15 from 3. 4 for 15 from 3. Jalen Brown, 1 for 20.
Starting point is 00:24:04 10 from three there combined. No, they shot themselves out of the game. And that was to tied up? Or was that shot, the three-pointer was to win? A game. They was tied up? It was tied up. Yeah, that's crazy. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:24:17 But I get what he's saying when he has a complaint about that. Because that's a bailout. That's a bell him out. That's what we preach. You hear that. Coach, don't bell them out. Don't bail him out with a jumper, bro. It's tie game.
Starting point is 00:24:29 They got to give you a foul or you're going to get a clean shot. Don't bail him out. So we watched this game on playback last night before we watched Thunder Nuggets, which we'll talk about a little bit later in the show. McGill, Celtics, 63-point attempts, NBA record 105 points in this game. I mean, then we have a big discussion about this. We have talked about it. I said this was going to happen.
Starting point is 00:25:02 They have these 10-for-60-type games, and they don't shoot enough twos to offset it. You know, you shoot 180 points worth of threes. and you score 105, 100, 100, 110, you're not gonna win a game if somebody's just going for twos. And there goes this game. They're gonna have another one. That's the motto.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Out of a seven-game series, you're gonna have two games like this, you're gonna have a game in a half where your lights out, you're gonna win, and then you're gonna have a normal game where you're probably like 38% from the three. And now you're playing against a guy, which is Brunson. You know, I had, I said, Yonis,
Starting point is 00:25:42 You have a guy who they're not going to chuck a bunch of threes. You're going to got a guy who does come in there and try to get his mid-range shots on. So, you know, they don't shoot enough twos when they're having bad three-point. Like you shot 63s. 63s, 37-2s. That's crazy. The Knicks, 37-3s, 52s, but they were 17 for 37 from the three-point line, 46% in the game. Compared to the Celtics, 25%.
Starting point is 00:26:08 And this is the one you can't trick off right if you're the Knicks. when they have this poor shooting night and look they were up 20 they were feeling themselves bro you gotta look at the reality of the situation if they played the game they play all season and they fucking missed all them threes that ain't got nothing to do it however fuck we play we did everything we were supposed to win the game and they got a they got to figure out what we how to stop us because we know them at they best they can just make a bunch of threes but we know if we get in we get into their their shot making ability they're wide open comfortable They're going to miss shots.
Starting point is 00:26:44 We just need to convert. And I think that everybody underestimated the Nix, and I kept saying, Knicks Nuggets, Nicks Wool. So the game plan is to hope they miss shots? No. It's live by the three, die by the three. A lot of those open looks, too, is just a... Right here?
Starting point is 00:27:00 Yeah, a lot of open looks. Not they were breaking, but got to capitalize on those misses, get this win. Percentages. It's a game of percentages. You're going one-on-one. You got to be able to create. a shot other than the three, too.
Starting point is 00:27:14 That'd be my thing with Jason Taylor. It'd just be like you'd be doing moves just to get a contested three instead of really getting somewhere. So that'd be my thing. But they team, so they got so many players. I still think they're the best team. But that right
Starting point is 00:27:30 there yesterday, that annoyed me. I ain't like that. Yeah, we talked about in the Magic series, too. Obviously, the Magic weren't a successful in stopping the Celtics, but it came up with a game plan to try and limit their three-point attempt. So the Celtics have shown that they can playing win different ways, but I've set the record for most three-pointers made in the season. They weren't going to really switch up who they are.
Starting point is 00:27:50 No, you can't. You had success doing it, so why would you? We had one bad game where we gave up because we shot ourselves out. All right, but let's come back tomorrow and do it again. It's not going to be the same results. We talk adjustments in real time. We talk coaching, strategies, right, offense. Since we praise offense so much, Joe, Missoula is just less. And them dudes just run around and shoot threes and they have.
Starting point is 00:28:14 We liked it because they go in. And we like, yo, Boston's good when they making threes. When they're missing threes, they look bad. They look like they don't have no offense, no leader, no nothing. But when you've been handed down somebody else's creation, it stops. It's a limitation of that. So you can only work with what you got. You got to figure it out from there.
Starting point is 00:28:36 I don't think he's going to figure it out if you got to make a justice. But that got them a championship, though. What adjustments they need to make? Talent got them a championship. But what adjustments they need to make, though? Like, I mean, it's working. The second. We just had a bad game.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Oh, or it's just it's probably harder than the first. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. So you mean to tell me you miss a playoff high, historic high, 45, and you telling me you don't need to make an adjustment? I want to go shoot some twos, okay. I'm asking the question. But I'm a still three. If you just broke the historic record, all-time playoff missed threes, you don't need to make an adjustment? and you want to go break that record.
Starting point is 00:29:12 But, Sean, do you look at it like that or do you say, if we made two more threes, we win this game by three points? We shot ourselves out. Still now. Say it again if you make two more three more.
Starting point is 00:29:20 We shot ourselves out. We got comfortable. Like Swaggy said, they got comfortable. That's like saying if we made three more twos. Yeah, that's fair. I mean, I do agree. Jason Tatum does need to go to the rim and do that, yeah. A team that shot 37% for the season.
Starting point is 00:29:33 We shoot 25 in this game. He'll said this. They've made their fritos. We ain't even really having a compromise. That's fair. Nick 17 for 31 from the free throw line 50. So if you pay attention to the metrics, we ain't having no conversation about what the fuck y'all talking about because that's right there. They made free throws, boom.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Talking about one game. How many losses they had this year? Don't we always talk about one game after the first 21? They're 16 and 21 regular season. And they cruise through the whole season. Yeah. You haven't no debate, man. Y'all just saying one thing.
Starting point is 00:30:09 I mean, it's not a debate. I mean, that's just how we're just how we're going to do. That's just how we feel. They got a debate for him. They need everybody. What happened to? He just left the game with an illness? Diarrhea.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Like I said, thought the game was over. Diarrhea. Thought the game was over. Diarria. That was up 20, right? Game ain't ever over. Let me take my shoes off. Damn ain't never over.
Starting point is 00:30:33 We're fighting for something. So we asked the chat, what was the main story in game one? We gave him Knicks comeback or Celtics' choke job. 53% said the Knicks come back. So speaking of the Knicks, Knicks Captain Jalen Brunson was asked about putting the team on his back after the game and was quick to dismiss that idea. Exactly. It's not about putting the team my back. It's just I have confidence of them.
Starting point is 00:30:54 They have confidence in me. And we're going to go out there. We're going to compete. We're going to find the best way to attack his possession. So, yeah, it may look like I get the credit, but it's a credit to them. It's not just me. So you look at Brunson, obviously undersized guard. What makes Brunton the ideal leader for this Knicks squad?
Starting point is 00:31:16 Tough. Mentally tough. Sure. Like it's, I mean, he's one of those, I mean, he's, it's like he was born in New York. I don't know, you know, if he's from New York, if he was born in New York, but he has that New York spirit where, you know, mentally you can't break him, physically can't break him, you can't bully him. And, you know, he's a hooper-tooper, right?
Starting point is 00:31:39 No matter what the score is, he's out there going. hard and he has a knack for putting that ball in the basket so I mean he's really looking for something too like he really looking for some pops on this coaching staff that help it doesn't even at that makes you real look over it does it's them the worst one you want to play with right he was daddy the coach like ah damn that help a little bit right so bruns it from new jersey oh so much tougher Much tougher? No, just kidding.
Starting point is 00:32:15 I'm from Jersey as well, good. Okay. Underappreciated state, the guard state. No. Is Brunson making the case for... Could he be the face of the league? No. If they win, if he win in New York.
Starting point is 00:32:30 There's only one face of the league. I'm just saying could, I'm asking, but I don't believe because it's size, but could he be... No? Nope. So he just... Did you have your kids ask for a Brunson jersey or shoes? Okay. Yep, I'm going to tell it true.
Starting point is 00:32:47 My kids have asked for a Brunson. If you watch playback, you see it. Your basketball play don't have nothing to do with you to face. Is Bronson? It's not the, you know, that's not the best player in the league in the face of the league as two different people. Could Bronson ever Trump, Luca? Huh? Like, can Bronson ever Trump, Luca?
Starting point is 00:33:05 Like, they used to try to say James Hardin and K.D. Or James Hardin and Russ? If Bronson win it? If Bronson win it? Any Trump, Luca? As a what? As a super talent? As a guard.
Starting point is 00:33:21 I mean, his position. You think he better now? No, why better now? No, I'm just saying if he win, if he win. In New York, that's... He got things that Luca need, though. Yeah. He do got things that.
Starting point is 00:33:36 I think the question is, could he be MVP? Can he be MVP? Yeah. I mean, I don't know that'd be. That'd be hard, is not? You know what? I just need to know. You got to do it.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Going to why he's not better. Tell me why he's not better. I'm asking. I'm asking, too. I mean, if you're telling me to go in the alley and pick somebody I go in the alley with, I'm picking Brunsson. With show?
Starting point is 00:33:57 Over Luca. Yeah. Sure. But Luca can get it like, I don't know, I'm a chill. Come on. Look, Luca. You can get it.
Starting point is 00:34:06 You're not here to chill. No, for show. This is a arena, Jordan. Man, Luca got that. That's the thing you see about Luca. That's the thing you see about Luca. kind of, he worried about other shit too much when Bronson just, every
Starting point is 00:34:18 play is he locked in. So that's going to end up, you're going to end up winning like that. Oh, yeah. You're going to end up winning like that. You know what I'm saying? I think if Luca get that, though, it ain't no stopping Luca, he kind of argue and do other shit too much.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Yeah, to the rest. You got to the finals first. Luca got there. You know what? But sometimes you don't need to describe who the best, you don't need to reach certain things. Like, you don't need to
Starting point is 00:34:44 Like Iverson, he ain't never won a chip, but him winning that game won, he solidified itself. But I'm what I'm saying? Like, that's how I feel. You kind of got to see what people's situation is and then judge them off each situation is different. I do a different type of scouting report with niggas, right? So my scouting report with Jalen Brunson is experience, pedigree, great parenting. He is Jesus shuttle's worth and his daddy. is Jake's shoulders work without the penitenti-
Starting point is 00:35:16 minus the the prisoner. You know what I'm saying? Talking about the push, the grit. The help. When you got experience from AAU winning, go to college and you win, go to the motherfucking NBA, you got a chance to win too.
Starting point is 00:35:30 So you're showing pedigree throughout your whole career that this is not a fluke. This ain't no coincidence what I'm doing here and immediately answered the question as if I've been preparing this way my whole life. Media train and everything. It's not about, me. We all trust each other.
Starting point is 00:35:46 That's basketball. High-level podcaster as well. Shout out to the roommate show. I love what he bringing. New York needed it. Finally, a real leader. That's the NBA. They need a lot of leaders. They need a lot of leaders that also can play. They need that.
Starting point is 00:36:02 For sure. All right. Let's talk about Bruce's Nova Nick teammate. Despite our off-shooting night, Mikhail Bridges came up big for the Knicks in overtime. Two Big Stills. He's in the Clutch Corner 3. played 51 minutes in this game. So there's been a lot of criticism about the compensation it took to bring Bridges in with the Knicks
Starting point is 00:36:19 five first round picks to the Nets to acquire him. Has Bridges proven to be worth the haul he was traded for? Yeah, I think so. Ain't missed the game? Ain't missed the game, man. And just, but he was making a lot of big plays. You know, he had that Draymond type game, like took over the game without scoring type shit to me.
Starting point is 00:36:44 He was getting loose balls. Him and Josh Hart, I want to say. They had big rebounds when you needed it, hookbacks, got steals, yeah, playing defense. Bridges. Yeah. He's available. Yeah. Like, somebody reliable.
Starting point is 00:37:03 You got somebody every night. Every night. He had that big still. They had that big still last night. Yeah. Two big stills. Two big still. Starting to play defense.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Championship time. His celebration get on my nerves. I hate the celebration. No, not Jaylen Bryson, McHale. What would McCell be doing? He'd be doing a little head shit. Do you feel a British has been proven to be worth the hall he was traded for? I was looking at what he actually got traded for.
Starting point is 00:37:40 How many first round picks? Five. They haven't been. They haven't came up yet, right? Let me double check for you. Five first rounds. Five of them? Damn, that's a lot.
Starting point is 00:37:52 I don't know about that. That's some KV type move, man. Yeah. Unprotected first round pick of 2025. Unprotected first in 27, 29, 2031. Protected for who? What?
Starting point is 00:38:06 For what team? The next. The Knicks. The next trade of five first round picks. Five. Unprotected first in 25, 27, 29, 2031. unprotected picks swap in 2028. And then a-
Starting point is 00:38:17 I'll wait to ask me this in 2031. And then a top... But two picks this year. So top four protected 20-25 first-round pick via the Bucks as well. So they get the Nix pick and the Bucks pick this year and then picks in 27, 29,
Starting point is 00:38:32 31 in the pick-swap in 28. And let me know when it's over because they might fuck around and get some legendary shit in there and then we're going to be like, yeah, nah, it wasn't worth it. But as it stands right now, it's not looking at it's...
Starting point is 00:38:45 I'm going to say it's bad, but... I mean, obviously, yeah. I mean, you know, you got one that's playing, and the other ones that's, you know, future. So you can't, you know, just, you can't really see what, you know,
Starting point is 00:38:57 they traded for. So, you know, those are the things that you got to wait later on and see if it was worth it. But right now, yes, because he's playing, he's putting up numbers, he's doing what it takes to win. So Mr. Being Swaggy,
Starting point is 00:39:09 you both are very confident that Southwigs will make easy work out of the Knicks in game one and in this series. So on behalf of Knicks fans everywhere, mainly our resident Knicks fan, Steve. He called me. He said, would you guys like to apologize to Nick's fans and change your series
Starting point is 00:39:23 prediction? Wait, wait, wait. No. No, I mean, no, I'm not changing, but I am going to give it up to Brunson now. Knicks fans have cautioned that this is your last opportunity to change your pig. If not, you've got to stay on that side for the direction of the series. No, I know I said Tyrese Hallibor was the best guard, but I'm going to go back and say Jaylen Bronson is the best guard right now. I'm sure Nick's, I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:39:44 After I see what happened the night. Every night is going to change. They're going to flip-flop. Yeah, it just depends on what happens. He's exactly. We got it. I like to say Bridges did all right, you know. Got to give it up for my corners.
Starting point is 00:39:57 He's not a corner. Good corner. Defense and hit three is in that corner. Absolutely. You can't change what a corner of a year is. Yeah, you can. Never. He's not.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Bronson is the store. Mm-hmm. Bridge. Elite corner? Elite corner. Available? Available? corner.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Liberty three minutes. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. He didn't change this. It ain't no corner. I think he was a hybrid corner. Look, see, look, he said it ain't.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Remember Quentin Ross? No. No. The clippers started. Two guard. Corner nigg is no love. Corner nigger from the core. Chefaloza.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Corner niggas. No, he played a lot of minutes. Chepalosa played a lot of minutes. Where was he at? Where was no. No, no, no, no, no. That's not a corner, nigger. Just the important.
Starting point is 00:40:48 A corner nigger sits in a corner. What's the job? Go to the corner, bro. And you barely get to do that, though. A quarter, they can barely get to do corner, shit. No, that's not a corner. You're not, you know, you're not a six man.
Starting point is 00:41:02 You're not a nigger. How are you going to tell me when a corner is? Brunson, when Brunson at the top of the key, where is everybody else? The nigg you're talking about they're allowed on the corner. They're not the nigg is allowed on the corner. You gotta have a certain amount to get on. to get on the corner. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:16 15 minutes or more is you- Sam how now in the corner? Not the corner. A corner call cash. Yeah, that's a corner. That's not the corner, that's not the corner, man.
Starting point is 00:41:26 A corner, nigger that got to get his ass in a corner. Come in four minutes, sit in the corner. You got the top of the key. Yeah, I'm 35. If you're playing over 30, that's right. It don't matter. You're in the corner. You're not out of 36 minutes.
Starting point is 00:41:39 KCP. What is Casey? What is Casey? What is KCP? What is a corner? in a corner. No, that's, there's five spots. What are you got to sit somewhere?
Starting point is 00:41:48 What is KCP? KCP is not a corner. Corner. Corner. Corner. So you and KCP is the same? Corner. Corner.
Starting point is 00:41:57 You ain't, you ain't get KCP shit up. You and KCP is the same. You J.R. Smith is KCP now. No y'all not. If Nick don't got a play renter for him, he's in the corner. Thank you. If the coach ain't saying zip, Nick or, uh, zip for up. Zip for him.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Don't get laid up. Thank you. Yes, we do. Because if we not get the play, where we at? Where are we at if we not getting the play? I've never seen a nigger. We just always go on. No, tell me.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Don't do that. Tell me what we at. Where are we at if the play is not for us and we're in the game? We're just trying to like, we're just trying to stay in as long as we can. We're waiting for the swing, right? Swing swing. We're in the corner, V. Are we not in a corner?
Starting point is 00:42:38 I know. I'm the ultimate corner, nigger. When it's my time to shine when Kobe was out? You are good? When he came back? Get your ass in that corner. Hey, no. Wait for the bad.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Wait for the bad. When Kobe's gone, the corner, nigga is still the corner nigger. The corner, nigger is still the corner, nigger. It's only stars and corners. No, there's nothing else. There's nothing else. You can't put nothing else. It's a star that can tell the nigger to get to the corner.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Anybody that get home to go to the corner. You got to change. You got to tell the two, nigg. In the corner, he doesn't change. He doesn't change. He can't change. It's not change it. The Lee Cornynese get to stay in the house.
Starting point is 00:43:16 The corner corner, corner nigga, like he said, he got to actually sub being for Kobe. That's the, the nigger in the trap that get to actually take the calls tonight. I get to, yeah. A hybrid corner corner. He got to town. I get to step in. And yeah, I'm running a cell tonight. It comes through me.
Starting point is 00:43:34 You do not. He's back tomorrow. When he gets back tomorrow, y'all do that. As I said, they turn the corner nigga into a spot. You only don't know what a corner nigga is. You can't be a stop. corner instead of the time. If Kobe leaves, you couldn't take me in the corner.
Starting point is 00:43:49 If Kobe's out and you're getting the ball, you're not a corner dude. A corner dude is a corner dude. Not at the moment. Not at the corner of the floor. Whatever, if somebody else could tell you to go to the corner, that's the star player. Thank you. So what I say is, if they're in corners. Yep.
Starting point is 00:44:06 It's a star player saying you get your ass in the corner. Nick, don't have no question. Don't ask no question. If yon just has a ball and Dane, get into corner. They ain't made no corner, nigg. They didn't be saying. No, everybody else got to get in the corner, though. No, you just have to start players.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Is this your temporary corner. Get your ass in the corner, my nigger. Whoever out there, Doc River, get your ass in the corner. They didn't turn everybody in the corner. Get your ass in the corner too, nigga. They become corners. Everybody in some corner. Oh, that's the stars.
Starting point is 00:44:37 Mellow. Mello was a corner, nigger at the time. Mello who? Come on the way out? Come up. He found out exactly what a corner niggins. He was. But he was really getting to seem like a cornernish.
Starting point is 00:44:51 But that's what I'm saying. No matter who was in the game, he was going to get the blue wheel and Jamar Crawford was never cornered. Never. They were elite cornered. They were never cornered. No. They're on the Mount Westmore's. Did they sound in the game where the stars wasn't in the game?
Starting point is 00:45:05 They started and got the ball right away. They started to get the ball right. Yeah. That means that just like Nick, when Kobe out, it's. It's my show. You ain't a corner. That ain't a corner of this. You are,
Starting point is 00:45:17 that's a fucking sick man on the second option. Hey, Jordan, when the stars subbed in, what happened? Was it steal your show? Go back to the corner. Right, my nigga. Vanished to the corner. Back to the corner, you go. It's just a little corner, there.
Starting point is 00:45:31 Corners. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Melody. When you're on the plane, you get treated like corner, when you're in a locker roll, you get treated like, corner nicks, always corner nix. All you are. Ain't no nothing.
Starting point is 00:45:43 I'm giving them fuck, who's on the court? Your ass is staying on the bitch and they're going to put your ass two, three minutes. I wouldn't know. What I felt in that corner. He felt it one time and said, fuck the end-jay. All corner niggas know what it feel like. All corner niggas know what it feel like.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Every corner, nigga, no. I had felt the Memphis, Gil, being in the corner, nigga. You hated it, right? How many minutes did I play? Did you hate it? How many minutes did I play? 13. Huh, I wish.
Starting point is 00:46:10 I wish I played 13 minutes. Shit, I'd have been part of the rotation for fucking 13 minutes. You're talking about. So a question for you, Jordan, how does one get treated like a corner on the plane? You feel it. Everywhere. You just, you got to wait to get on. You got to wait to get your food.
Starting point is 00:46:27 All that shit. Corner niggins is. Talk about it. You get, feet. Are you getting the same meal as the stars and you're getting the reason? No, no. Everything went out. Then you get the second shit.
Starting point is 00:46:36 And you're looking around and everybody eating but you. We don't get to sit with the video guys. You don't get to take them. Nah, nah, nah, nah. Come in early, bring your ass in earlier. Gotta play three on three versus the coaches. Extra cardio. You don't get the dinner tags, you don't get none of the text.
Starting point is 00:46:56 No dinner, no dinner, no. No dinner. The work look at some crazy. Work looking at some crazy, like, damn. Be cold now, it's levels, man. They feel cold. They don't level. They don't.
Starting point is 00:47:08 They jump down. They jump down. They jump down. Oh, yeah, yeah. We call it Davey. You feel it with the work. Yeah. Yeah, you feel the work.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Yeah. They try to judge you. Damn, pre-judged. Yeah, they be like how many minutes you play tonight. So, what is the Cartier Martin? Why you're not sweating? Huh? Why you not swaying tonight?
Starting point is 00:47:27 Did you play? Who on a? Huh? Wait, wait. So you want the same level as him? Wait, who? Yeah, it's corners on. Who you say?
Starting point is 00:47:35 A player when everybody was gone. It's different levels. Cartier Martin. Cartier. Cardier. Oh yeah, he's a corner. Oh yeah, he's a corner. Man, he can hoot.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Yeah, corner. No starters, everybody gone. You're still getting four minutes. No, he can hoot. Well, I mean, yeah, he hooped in a corner. Five minutes. It's a corner. It's a corner.
Starting point is 00:47:57 No, not his level to the corner. It is. I always say that. I'm on Mount Rushmore. You know, I'm on the president. I'm like, you know, I let you guys. You got fame from being a corner. It's other corner niggies that enticing him in his corner.
Starting point is 00:48:10 So do you feel like you're, though? Jason Terry. Yeah, I know what it feels. That's the hard. That's not a quarter. You giving six men quarters? Jason Terry's a corner. What is he doing, Jay?
Starting point is 00:48:22 He get to play. I know, guys. All right, look, we're talking what he get to do. We're talking about where the fuck does he go when the nigger dirt got the ball. Yeah, hey, that's what I'm saying? Where the fuck do you go? Hey, dirt got the ball. Not the store.
Starting point is 00:48:35 Get to your fucking squad or a knicker song, man. Don't say I'm right. You better not say I'm right. Where I'm right? We're not going to go. Sit over here. Where else you're going to go? We say yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:48:45 You don't fucking agree with me over there. Where else you're going? Like, we're going to talk about how you played in your sister, the mayor, sit in the quarter. They said, you're over there while I got the ball, nigga. You're talking about, like, Gereg. Genoblee. When I got the ball, Tim Duncan, where are you supposed to be?
Starting point is 00:49:01 You said, you get those are the kids. On that. You're not, you don't get no place for you. You just swing, swing, and if it gets to you. Open shot. You got to do both. The stars, corners, and liquor stores. The liquor stores. The liquor stores.
Starting point is 00:49:16 The patch of beer leaves in. They get dirty, yeah. They go in the round. They go into the ride. So maybe, me, I never know, ah, go get it. So if Kobe is the star, where's the console? Is that how old? Biggs not really involved.
Starting point is 00:49:32 That's what they, okay. Murder world peace. Metal world peace. The game one. He was on the Lakers, yeah. On the game one for sure. I said they become. So but Steve Blame.
Starting point is 00:49:42 Liquorneux don't know. Lick of stow niggas get too many minutes. Yeah, look at the, they have a function. They have a function, my nigga. Just because they be diving over all that. They're not on any corner. They just don't stand on any corner. They just don't be out there.
Starting point is 00:49:55 Man, I'm out here to get some liquor, bro. Y'all niggas just out here standing around, waiting for some shit to have. They got shame bass. Those are guys that a corner do. They ain't got a lot of things. They ain't got a playoffice. They ain't got. I don't get fuck who you got on the
Starting point is 00:50:13 trap every time you get it trapped them right here they got that shit look at those got that right yeah yeah dry it's dry like before Rudy they got
Starting point is 00:50:22 they got before Rudy Goldberg got the ball he will be considered the quote they don't get to watch they got the dry shit on the mouth
Starting point is 00:50:28 yeah they're they be hustling too hard ah the dry shit on they can be breathing out their mouth they can breathe back the nose nigger
Starting point is 00:50:38 you That stops all that, yeah. He definitely got drinks. These are the type of basketball discussions you can come to expect on Gil's Arena presented by underdog woo-woo. But let's shift it over to the Celtics. You get funny with it. So ask for the Celtics side of things.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Playoff record, 45 missed threes. Like I mentioned earlier, 63-point attempts were also a playoff record. Here's Joe Missoula when asked about the Celtics shot selection in the second half when 34 of the Celtics' 41 shot attempts were threes. Yeah, I mean, I think for the most part, obviously, and over the course of the game you always can find you know five, ten shots that you want to be better at but I thought throughout the night
Starting point is 00:51:15 for the most part we fought for good looks throughout the game but yeah you can find five to ten that we could be better at and it's hard to look Joe Mazzula in his eyes I'm gonna be honest but do you agree with Joe Muzula saying the Celtics fought for good looks against the Knicks? Right? Like damn, nigga?
Starting point is 00:51:35 Yeah, I agree what he said about the 10 shots like yeah you look back maybe 10 3 we shouldn't have took. For sure. Whatever that changed the game. So that's it right there. But do you feel like they fought for good looks or was it too much settling for threes in this game?
Starting point is 00:51:47 A certain point is... I didn't like a lot of white shots yesterday, Derek White shots. He shot a lot of quick threes. Like, I would love to have that feeling not worrying about nothing. When you catch you just shoot that motherfucker, but I feel like he rushed a lot of those a little bit. The confidence he'd given him. He got that 40 ball.
Starting point is 00:52:07 He'd been consistent with shooting at three. Now, like I said, they're not running plays. That's why he's free to shoot that shit when he's still. That's the question I have with my brothers. How good is Derek White? You tell us how good you think he is. I think he has the perfect role. He got the perfect role to get him.
Starting point is 00:52:26 He gets to do whatever, but he's still like four or five shit. But he get to do whatever. And you got to go better. He's good enough to do whatever? And I'm against the Derek White debate. My brothers think he's great. Of course, you got talent. He thinks he's great.
Starting point is 00:52:46 But, yeah, dude. He's like it for his role, right? Yeah, a solid corner. He's a corner guy? He's a superstar, low-key. Hey, all. He can be a lot. He can be honest, man.
Starting point is 00:53:02 You got to be honest. If he ain't your homie, if he's not your homie, you got to be honest. That's what the NBA do. Take time. The NBA made them sweet just like Dylan Brooks. Dylan Brooks sweet. The NBA made them sweet. That's my thing.
Starting point is 00:53:17 And we don't know it until we said like, motherfuckers don't see it until you listen to somebody say, hey man, he's sweet. Don't y'all don't see it? Y'all don't see that? It ain't like that. It ain't like that. The Thompson twins will push up on your ass and make you switch up your game and you thought you was nice and you got to bring your shit out now.
Starting point is 00:53:35 I like that type of defense. Bring that shit out you was working on. that cone. I want to see that cone shit you was doing on Instagram, bro. Show us that pregame shit you'd be doing. Yeah, give me that. You think of Derek White?
Starting point is 00:53:49 I don't know, I got to give it the Day of White. For that, I mean... Who? The Darry White. For that system and how they play, I mean, he carved out a perfect role. That's what I'm saying. I mean, you're talking about someone who has...
Starting point is 00:54:02 He has the same job as everybody else. He can take whatever shot he wants. He gets to go out there. and play free and for being the fourth sometimes fifth option I mean if Prozinger is playing he's literally the fifth option right so the fact that the fifth option on that team can
Starting point is 00:54:20 basically if he decide he want to shoot 40 points worth of shots nobody's going to look at him I mean that's a hell of a role because you get to take 40 shots and no matter how you shot the ball no one's going to be judging you they got two other motherfuckers they got to worry about before we get to Hey, man. Hey, Dary, you shot bad today. Nobody gets to that point.
Starting point is 00:54:44 Nobody's going to look at your output and say, hey, man, you lost us the game. Derek White, six for 18 in the game, five for six, eight for three. And he didn't do no podium. He went home. He shot the first one. You want those three? Seven for 20. Seven for 20 for Jalen Brown.
Starting point is 00:55:02 Seven for 23 for Jason Tatum. Derek White, six for 18. So they all got almost 20 shots apiece. That nigga win. Home. All three of them. That's a lot of possessions, don't. How many threes all together?
Starting point is 00:55:16 Between the three. Between the three. Ten for 41. Before 15. 10 for 41 from three combined. What of y'all was in between the three? Derek White, five for 16 from three. So he still hit five threes.
Starting point is 00:55:34 He got the shot. Tatum still hit four threes. Think about hitting four threes and five threes in the game. If you even five for ten or four for eight. 16 of them, five for six. But we're talking about just the makes. Let's just talk about just the makes. You hit four threes.
Starting point is 00:55:48 That's a lot. Mm-hmm. Hitting five threes in the game. Yeah, for sure, yeah, for sure. Then you go, you say you shot 18 of them. Five for, yeah. Five for 16. At number six.
Starting point is 00:56:01 At the number six. At the number five. You shot. That's a lot. You're in trouble. At the fifth. I'm like, God damn. 163s for drag yeah i'm gonna go to the hole yeah yeah i keep shooting it bro he's
Starting point is 00:56:11 no that they got fuck it that's good that's great program i mean yeah yeah yeah brown one yeah yeah right i'm coming to play off he gonna be he gonna go five he gonna go seven like he had 16 three shot we were too yeah we was taking fortune as a team i was after 16 from three i think uh one for two from two he only shot two two 50 percent from two uh Derek White. And your fifth option, he gets it. And then he shots, 16-3s? That's, oh.
Starting point is 00:56:38 You know, not looking at the 16-3s is cool. Y'all not looking at the cold part. He didn't do no interview after. He got away with, we got a video. He got away with robbery. Yeah. Jason Taylor. Come on, man.
Starting point is 00:56:53 And you got a fucking in there who's shooting the same amount of shots playing bad. Just took his shower, got his kids and girlfriend, walked on home. That's my friend. He said the news like, damn, that's fuck, that nigga played horrible. That's my beef. That's cold. I would love that. Buddy Hill just had to deal with the same shit too.
Starting point is 00:57:12 Getting introduced to Stepford, his team at that ball. Like nobody cares what white or holiday do. No, that's what I said. They confidence. No matter what they do, it falls on Jason Tatum and Brown. But they're the stars, though. They confidence got to be crazy high. Like you walk in every night just, you know, I get 20 of them up.
Starting point is 00:57:32 Man, Derek White literally smoked cigarettes right after the game. Nah, he here y'all. He'd hear y'all. He would have never cut his hair if he didn't hear the minute. He's like this. Wait till the next game, though. Take the six to ten more. Wait till the next game.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Y'all thought that was some shit. I missed them. I was missing. Wait till I started hitting this shit. Gil has left the arena and discussed. Derek White's 163s, but Jason Tadam was asked. Jason Tatum was asked if the physicality of the game caused him to avoid driving at times during the game.
Starting point is 00:58:06 Here's what he said. I mean, it's the playoffs. Like, you know, we probably should just play without the refs. Like, we just how physical it is. So, you know, that don't really cross my mind. Celtics never trailed in a series in route to the title last season. Jalen Brown was asked to reflect on that and on how the series changed after the way they lost game one. Obviously, we had a historic night of missed three-pointers, et cetera.
Starting point is 00:58:37 We'll take a look and kind of see what the energy was. But in reality, you almost got to have a short-term memory, throw it away. You're ready for game two. We don't have time to let stuff carry over. So, you know, we make adjustments when we come ready to play on our home floor. So do you believe the momentum of this game will carry over to game two? Yeah, what does he mean by? We shouldn't just play with refs.
Starting point is 00:59:05 He was going to foul, bro. Hmm? Huh? When was he getting foul? He shot 15 threes. Then went to the hole a couple times. So not enough to get no foul? So that's why you don't go to the basket for that last one?
Starting point is 00:59:18 Because don't you want to get fouled and go to the free throw? He's afraid they're not going to go. Seven free throw attempts in the game. You're afraid they're not going to call it. It's a turnover. Tatum also had five turnovers in this game. Yeah. He's afraid of turning the ball over.
Starting point is 00:59:31 Better to shoot a three. shooter three. Nah. Sabel yourself out. You learn, though. You still, y'all act like Jason Tatum is 35 years old or something. What, 27, 26? Guess where he play at?
Starting point is 00:59:46 It doesn't. He won a championship. He didn't. It doesn't mean you don't matter. It's one game, brother. He didn't the average 30-something this whole season. People was quiet, but the first time he had a bad game, everybody, oh, you don't want to go to the whole, want to talk to him.
Starting point is 01:00:01 I'll talk to her, I'll talk about him. They just whip Orlando ass. He was averaging 35, 37, 38. That's what they did. They won. They won, right? And then this happened. Then they won, right?
Starting point is 01:00:14 But he was saying, why? What are you just saying? You keep saying you just saying? I don't hear no praise for Jason Tatum. Why? He just lost the game. He's not waiting for him to fail to say some shit. That's the only thing I don't like about it.
Starting point is 01:00:26 Well, that's the only time we get to say shit. It's quiet win. It's four and once week. The next Apollo ass, he's busting their ass, but it's quiet. New York come to town. You lose. Palo Pish, and then we say shit.
Starting point is 01:00:40 It sounds like... Right. So guess what you got to do? He don't do this. You got to not lose. It sounds like Braun hate, huh? Yeah, it sounds like Brian. Well, Gil did point out that
Starting point is 01:00:51 you're the face. With the Brown no longer in the playoffs, they need to shift the hay somewhere else. Don't go there, man. It seems like it's moving over to be. Don't do that, though. I'm bringing that shadow over there to Jason Taylor like that man.
Starting point is 01:01:02 He didn't ask for that. People thrive off negativity. He ain't got to ask for it. They'll give it to him. You did issue him a challenge earlier in the season. Yeah, no, I mean, he's fine. I mean, Nick is right. I mean, shit, he averaged 30 in the first round.
Starting point is 01:01:20 You know, but he is the easiest person to pick on, the easiest superstar to pick on. So they always gonna do that, no matter if they have a good game or bad game. I think with Tatum, they kind of, Gave him praise since he's been in the league. So now people looking to hate on him because he's been getting praised so early. So they'd be looking to hate on him. But it is a little, he got to get to the cup.
Starting point is 01:01:39 That's it. That's all we asked. He's seen to send a message in that first round series that, you know, with the bone bruising his wrist, still averaging 30 a game, three straight games over 35. It's weird what people call hate when I guess we all got to praise you good or bad. Is it just to do the admiration though? No criticism, right?
Starting point is 01:01:57 If they have a bad game, we can't say nothing because we're hating. You have a good game, we don't say nothing. Oh, we don't want to give them credit. No, that's what hating is. If they play bad and you bash them and then they play good and you pretend it didn't happen. That's what hating is.
Starting point is 01:02:18 That's actually how it works. If they play good and you say something good about it, and then if they play bad, you say something bad about it, then you're a neutral party. I thought so you play good You play good and you don't say nothing Yeah, I ain't see that Right
Starting point is 01:02:36 He said, hey! Oh, don't say no You play bad, I say something Play good, I don't say shit Play bad, I got something to say. That's hating? Yeah, well Yeah, I mean, but like if you just play good All the time That's impossible, right?
Starting point is 01:02:57 Yeah, So then that is impossible for me to have to hate on you. What's the fake? Good? All that. That's what makes me any so easy. My body is flawless, my niggas. It's real simple fucking math.
Starting point is 01:03:07 What options do we fucking out? I've never seen somebody play good. I never seen somebody perfect. No. Exactly. No, but Jason Tatum is playing good though. So it's like, I'm going to praise him. Last night.
Starting point is 01:03:20 We're criticizing them right now. Y'all talking about is just one game. When he just had it. great series. Yeah, but I don't see nobody say anything good about Jason. Yeah. You ain't reading in the right places. I don't see anybody say anything. I'm reading. The people in Boston love them. They talk good about them
Starting point is 01:03:37 every day. Go to the Boston threads. I go to everybody. Yeah. Not a desirable location. What are we talking about, man? We'll skip over. Shout out to Boston. All right. I'll take that one too. Fuck it. All right. You're going to get to me. I'll take it anyway. God damn.
Starting point is 01:03:55 I said it in my head. No, has refrained from giving. Hold on. Not on time. Can we do it one more time, please, say, all good, man. Let's get the timing, get the timing, correct. There's a lot going on in the arena right.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Two on one, two in the body bad. Wait, hold on. Two in the body bad. Two in the body bad. Hold on. So if something about a bad game, you say something bad, but if they have a good game, you won't say anything.
Starting point is 01:04:19 He said, just play good all the time. I don't have to say nothing. That's the solution. Isn't that the solution? Who in the NBA has ever played good? Come on, Joe, stop laughing. It ain't funny. If you play good all the time,
Starting point is 01:04:31 nobody can say nothing bad about it. But who's done that? Who hasn't had anything bad to say about them? Is that not hating in itself, though? Which star hasn't been criticized? Criticized? What the fuck are we talking about then? Criticize?
Starting point is 01:04:44 Why we don't criticize? Criticize? We do. But if they play good all the time and you don't give them praise, isn't that hating in itself as well? Isn't that just as bad? I was just a fan of these niggas.
Starting point is 01:04:55 I was just praising them because they just want. So you're not talking to me. I'm just asking you a question. Okay, I'm just making sure. You were a Celtics fan? So I'm not a part of the hate. Made the decision to go to the bill.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Not a part of that. But I see the white and on the walls. When you lose, you play bad, you should get, you want to be the face of NBA? We can't, come on, stop. Stop. Penalty of leadership. So when he plays good,
Starting point is 01:05:21 he don't expect nothing. Isn't it an expectation for me to be great? I'm not patting myself on the back. when I work hard to do this shit. This ain't nothing new when I make these shots. I make them every fucking day. I shoot it every fucking day. I should make it.
Starting point is 01:05:37 I hold myself accountable. Cool. I do have something to say, but I don't know. Well, this is Gills Arena, presented my hundred dog. Whoop. And you do cut the check, so please. Thank you, my head. Lori Stewart.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Is that? Here we go. Don't look at me. Because y'all both, y'all both was anti-tatum, right? Mm-mm. Okay. I was pro-J. Pro-Jay.
Starting point is 01:06:11 Jalen Brown. Now, okay, so the, now I got to ask you, have you ever criticized Jalen Brown for playing not good? Yeah, losing his left hand. When? You know he didn't play not good yesterday. When he wasn't. He didn't.
Starting point is 01:06:27 And he was talking about Tatum the whole time. Like, I'm just asking, like, anybody in the chat, have he ever said anything? criticized Jalen Brown. I never criticized Jason Tatum either. So what are we talking about? All right, what's up Joe? Come on, man. We stuck in mid-air. Yeah, there we go. Doing my husband, you guys have your mom. No, I was just wondering, I was just wondering. Because if he doesn't know the difference, how Tatum, because you know he don't like Tatum for some reason, when Tatum plays good,
Starting point is 01:07:02 he don't do nothing, anybody plays bad, he says something when Jason Tatum, when When Brown plays good, he praises him when he plays bad, he doesn't see nothing. Right? I'm just saying, now, that's how it's criticizing versus just hating something. That's the definition of it. When you got to go out your way to pretend you didn't see it or go out your way to point out little things that make it seem like the players playing bad, worse than they do. That's what the definition of being hated or hating someone.
Starting point is 01:07:31 I'm not saying that's what you do, I'm just saying just for. But does that come to the territory for Tatum being the face of the Celtics, with Telti, face the league, being the number one option, as we've had arguments about here on this couch. I mean, as a basketball player, man, I think we want to be judged for what we're doing. We don't care about you criticizing our game. But if I'm playing good, don't pretend you didn't see it. And then you're waiting for me to play bad. That's some bullshit.
Starting point is 01:07:55 Right? I can't respect what you're saying. I got 20 straight games of 40, and you ain't say shit. Muffer have 10 points. Oh, this is why he can't beat the face of the lead. Muffalo only had 10 points. They lost by 40. Like, no, no.
Starting point is 01:08:08 God, damn. Here's a perfect example. You can't do that, dog. Here's a perfect example. Right. That's what I'm saying. Here's a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Floyd Mayweather.
Starting point is 01:08:19 All right. You want me to go ahead and do the research for that? Okay, every fucking match everybody wanted him to lose. Guess what he never fucking did. It's hard to criticize Floyd Mayweather. Well, he doesn't play a team sport. It doesn't play a team sport. I know.
Starting point is 01:08:36 Doesn't matter. It never gave his critics an opportunity. It does. It never gave his critics an opportunity. I think, yeah, I think things, especially in basketball, things is already, like they put the story on one thing already. So they already put like Jason Taylor better than Jalen Brown. So then, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:08:59 The expectations is different. So it's like why y'all not just telling what's going on? Like Jalen Brown may be just as good as Jason Taylor. They never really said that. So that always made the Hooper, the eye that's watching it mad. Because it's like, hold up. They both really doing the same thing out here. And I think that's where to criticize him it comes from from Jason Taylor
Starting point is 01:09:21 because it's like, y'all crowned him as soon as he got in the league. Now, he did everything that made him a superstar steal. You know what I'm saying? Even winning this chip, how he had the, you know, that's what was part of the USA hate. It was because they started hating on them, like, you know what I'm saying? And that's just where it's making Jason Taylor kind of fight through
Starting point is 01:09:41 the storyline of what they created for him early. And then Jalen Brown, on the hand, it's like you've seen how good he is, but he never getting to love. So then you just want, even the way he got the MVP, you could tell they was trying to get that shit to Jackson Tatum still. You know what I'm saying? He had to, you know, it had to go his way so much.
Starting point is 01:10:00 So I think that's what be making, you know, the criticism on Jason Taylor's. Taylor comes so hard because it's like he never got it from the start. And there's so many people that had to fight for something and didn't earn it. You know what I'm saying? So it'd be that. Talk your shit. Yeah, it'd be that a little bit.
Starting point is 01:10:15 But at the same time, Jason Tatum is doing everything for him to be who he is. You know what I'm saying? I don't want that to be missing screw. Wait, he didn't have to fight? Wait, wait, so how he did everything he's supposed to do, but not get the praise for it. No, he did he do get his praise. He just get it before he did. just get it before he do the shit a little bit and then other people got to do shit and then get their praise.
Starting point is 01:10:39 He didn't get criticism early. Yeah, he didn't get criticism early. Now he's getting it and it's uncomfortable because I never got it. Well, I mean, it wasn't his team no early though. It don't matter. You're going to get criticized. No. No.
Starting point is 01:10:50 No. No. Criticism is waiting. But didn't they have it when they were telling them to break the team up and this team can't get it done and they keep making whole friends? But when he came, he wasn't a guy. He wasn't. They were still young then. It was we still ain't criticizing yet.
Starting point is 01:11:07 Hey, we're right. We still haven't even started. It was Carrey. It was Carrey. Was he in Isaiah? You was knowing that Jalen Brown and Jason Taylor was the future, though. Yeah. You was knowing that.
Starting point is 01:11:18 That year, yeah, but I didn't really. But people wanted to wait a day time, though. Lit up a couple years ago. But let's keep this thing moving. Starting point is 01:13:14 Let's keep it moving. Let me take this ass, Brendan. Before the chat, before we move on to the next conversation, producers wanted to let you know, Shodd that we asked the chat, is it obvious? We put that poll up four minutes ago. 71% of the chat said yes. But let's keep it moving. Switch over to the Western Conference.
Starting point is 01:13:31 Top two MVP candidates to Coliochich, Shay Gildes Alexander. Is it obvious? Let it go. He was just flowing. Why are you going to interrupt the flow? 71% said yet? I got to see these.
Starting point is 01:13:43 Feel free to take out your phone, take out a computer, go to YouTube, the Gills Arena page. You can participate in a poll. Like I'm underline hate going on over there. No, I'm just saying. That's what you just in.
Starting point is 01:13:55 Good bars. Right, you took all the good bars. You did take all the good bars. But let's switch all the good bars. Let's switch over our focus to the Western Conference. Top two MVP candidates, Nicole Yolk, Shea Gildes-Alexander, led their teams into a playoff battle. Because OKC swept the Grizzlies and the Nuggets went to seven games with the Clippers.
Starting point is 01:14:11 There was a huge rest differential entering this game. Thunder were on eight days of rest while the Nuggets were on just one day of rest after blowing out the Clippers in Game 7 on their home floor this past Saturday. Let's see how big of a difference it would make in this game. Paula, run those highlights, please, if you don't mind. OKC was 35 and 6 at home during the regular season, also won their first two home playoff game to make it 37 and 6 overall entering game one. But the Nuggets were responsible for one of those losses when the teams met for back-to-back games in OKC back in early March.
Starting point is 01:14:39 Thunder led for the majority of the game. There are only two lead changes all night. SGA, 33 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in just one turnover in 40 minutes. Alex Caruso brought his championship experience to the Thunder. Bright spot off the bench dropping 20 points on 7 for 12 shooting. Also had six assists and five steals. Chad Holmgren scored 12 points on 5 for 11. and Jalen Williams had 16 points on 5 for 20 shooting.
Starting point is 01:15:02 The Joker was dominant in this game yet again, 42 points, 22 rebounds, 6 assists. Only three other players have posted a 40, 25 playoff game, Janice, Shaq, and Wilt, who did it twice. Aaron Gordon had 22 points and 14 rebounds, including the biggest shot of the game, which we'll get to shortly, while Jamal Murray added 21 points, six rebounds and six assists.
Starting point is 01:15:23 Russell Westbrook did his thing off the bench, scoring 18 points on 7 for 13 shooting, played the entire fourth quarter, mostly in favor of Michael Porter Jr. who only had two points on one of eight shooting. With over six and a half minutes to go, Thunder led by 13 points. The Nuggets chipped away at that lead
Starting point is 01:15:39 where Yolkis putting up 18 points in the fourth quarter, Chet Holmgren. Let's watch this first though. Oops. Here's the three. Right at Harkinstein's Grill. It's called Hand Down Men Down. Cut the lead to one.
Starting point is 01:15:52 We were watching this game on playback. SGA right here made the decision to get the dunk with 11 seconds remaining And with Yokch out of the game, the Thunder elected to foul up three. Aaron Gordon made those free throws and Chek Holmgren had a chance to extend the lead back to three. Miss those two free throws. Great pass. Got the rebound kicked into Westbrook, we found Aaron Gordon.
Starting point is 01:16:10 Hit the three in Chet Holmgren's grill to add insult to injury. OKC didn't have any timeouts left. They had tricked off one earlier in the quarter by challenging the SGA foul on Yokic that even Shay told head coach Mark Dagnall not to challenge. So full court desperation to hear from Jaylon. didn't go. Aaron Gordon, second game winner of the playoffs after hitting the first game winning buzzer beating dunk in the NBA playoff history in game four the first round against the Clippers. When you look at Aaron Gordon, I think Joker after the game, said he was one of his best teammates, if not the best teammate he's ever had in his career. Aaron Gordon had been very, very vital for the Nuggets in this postseason run. We talked about the game winner over the Clippers with the dunk hitting this big three. Still game one on the Thunder's home court. What has gotten into Aaron Gordon lately? His confidence is high. I think after that game winner that he had with the Clippers, you know, you need one of those games in the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:17:05 And I think that's just been helping his confidence. He played big last night, hitting big shots, rebound and everything. So, but like I said, his confidence is just high, really high right now. So I'm happy for him. They asked him after the game about that shot, he said, he, they said, you know what's going in. He said, I knew it wasn't a miss when it left his hands hit it in. And Chet Hungry's griddle.
Starting point is 01:17:25 After Chet missed the two free throws, could extend the lead back to three. We talked about Thunder, made the decision to file up three in that situation. Did it a couple of times. Ended up costing them. But let's shift over to Nicola Yolkich, likely not to win the MVP. Didn't you just ask a question? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:43 Do you want to answer you? No, go ahead. No, go. Go. You got a G-Badby. No, no. What do you think about what's going on with Aaron Gordon lately? Nothing.
Starting point is 01:17:52 Nothing. Nothing. He's who been playing well, man. He always will him playing well. I just didn't know. I just said, I was, yeah. No, he always been, like, he's like the perfect fit. He's been playing, like, the perfect role player for that team for him, the others.
Starting point is 01:18:11 Yeah, he's a tough matchup sometimes. He's aggressive. Got some moves with him every once in a while. I feel like this coach just give him a little more confidence a little bit, too. Maybe Adam. No. Yoke is the coach. He'd be coached the hell out of them.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Been spotted several times since the coaching change, running the huddles. Man. What do you think about Aaron Gordon when he's been doing lately? That uppercut is what got him doing better. See, that's the only reason you wanted to do. The motherfucker who uppercut in his ass is that's what got into him. Two-tham look like.
Starting point is 01:18:50 That's right. Get my back right. Before that black guy, trash. Trash. After that black guy. Superstar. Who upper cut?
Starting point is 01:18:59 We don't know yet. We don't know. But whoever it is, is the MVP. Could have been one of the Jokers, brother. They got look on their side too, but I don't know. That's crazy. But do you call the luck, though? Down 13, midway through the four?
Starting point is 01:19:13 A championship experience, but it's a little bit of luck too. One day. Rush two. Let's do. One interview, close. Next interview. You need luck. Every championship run, you need a little bit of luck.
Starting point is 01:19:24 It's always going to happen. A little bit luck. A little bit looking at the name. He was there. He was a chance. We're talking about basketball. We're talking about, man, one stop at a time, bro. Get a fucking stop.
Starting point is 01:19:37 Let's run our offense. Let's get another fucking stop. Hey, we four-oh. You see the heat. You feel it, right? They sweat and let's get one more. Time out. Y'all ain't see how easy that was.
Starting point is 01:19:52 We did that in a minute. Let's do it again. Again, how much was we down? 13. 13 and the fourth. 13. We do that twice. We down one.
Starting point is 01:20:03 Similar experience in the first round, too. Came back for multiple. Stop, get a stop. That's basketball, bro. It's play. It's hoop. Man, get a stop, girl, lock up. We got one stop.
Starting point is 01:20:15 We used to do the drill. Three stops with one point. Yeah. Three stops one point. Come on, man. I ain't like how OKC played that. Yeah. They filed.
Starting point is 01:20:26 They filed. after Shea got that dunk, they filed somebody so quick. That was crazy. I ain't get that one. We'll talk a little bit more in depth about that shortly, but the questionable decisions, that challenge came back to bite them, even SGA telling Dagnan, no, which you rarely see nowadays.
Starting point is 01:20:48 Players unwilling to admit that they were in the wrong. But it ended up costing it wasn't even necessarily the filing, too. That was the issue. Obviously, Chad Hunger makes those free time. It's a different ball game. He missed two big free throws. Let's talk about Yolkits real quick where we move on to the thunder side of things. Historic line, join Yonis, Shackenwood, is the only players ever to post a 40, 20, and 5 stat line
Starting point is 01:21:10 in a playoff game. Talk about the MVP race, obviously down the two between Yokch and SGA. S.J. Looking like he's going to win the MVP. Does the historic line from Yokch prove that he deserved to be the MVP this season? You said it's looking like he's going to win it? SGA, that's a... I don't know, the media fight, and that's...
Starting point is 01:21:30 Both are already in, been tabulated. Oh, but not just waiting for the announcement. They do this so long. They wait for a long. I hope he do. No, he do. He do. I hope.
Starting point is 01:21:42 Both have been in. Swacked them, niggas. Send him home. Show you who the captain is. You saying that's what the Nuggets need to do to the thunder? Oh, oh, swack them. Send him on packing. I don't like how anybody can shoot for you for O K-C-C. But yeah, I think, yo,
Starting point is 01:21:57 I think Yokic is, he's making his case. He's making his case. We say. Yeah, I wanted the SGA to win it all year. And you know what I'm saying? But I think Yolkich is for sure. Just the way he coaching his team and the way he care a little more. I like any player that's care right now.
Starting point is 01:22:16 Anybody that care a little bit, I'm on your side. So speaking of that, there's often jokes flying online about Yokkich, not caring, only wanting to tend to his horses back home in Serbia. But look at this clip from last night. Showed some of the fire intensity he has. Leave the huddle. Player coach. Die.
Starting point is 01:22:37 I like him better than the coach. They watch what they want to watch. I don't like that idea, dog. That shit is... What you mean? Yeah. All day. All day.
Starting point is 01:22:49 All day. Whiskey. Whisquebatte. I pointed out when we was playing. When we was watching the game and I was like, look how... Look at Yolkits right now. Yep. Wanted to quit.
Starting point is 01:23:01 I was walking. Yeah. Yelling at the bit. I'm like, man, if anybody else would have done this shit. But that's how I go, though. Right, they talk about Luca Kra. I'm like, look at this man. They on a fast, but he's, oh.
Starting point is 01:23:15 Like, I'm saying, like, the whole game until they start coming back now. Now you got the energy. What? Doing that shit. Somebody. I was sitting there watching. I was like, yo, this man has a birthday. body language ever.
Starting point is 01:23:28 This shit is horrible. Every play, this man was like... For sure. Yep, every single time. For sure. But there's one thing that when we was watching the game, I said, man, it looks like
Starting point is 01:23:41 Denver's not playing very well. It looks like OKC is balling, but they only down 10. Right? I'm saying? This just looks like a real big comeback. Like it just It doesn't look like the score doesn't look how it's playing. And Denver didn't play very well.
Starting point is 01:24:04 Right? They didn't shoot the ball very well. They had more free throws, had more offensive rebounds, had more rebounds. They outrebounded a team that had two seven footers, which is weird. And it just seems like, well, if y'all couldn't blow them out why they had this performance, right? you had way more assisting them. Like it was just an ugly game for dinner and they pulled it out. I'm like, eh.
Starting point is 01:24:31 That's the thing about basketball on how it is today. It is that like OKC is sometimes when the corner nigga just ain't supposed to shoot. You know what I'm saying? You just ain't supposed to shoot and everybody OKC can shoot. And that'd be hurting sometimes. It's probably like Boston. Yeah, you can't. It just looked right like, hell yeah, we want you to shoot it.
Starting point is 01:24:51 You know, we don't care if you make it or not. The fact that you get to shoot, let us know later in the game. we're gonna be straight. And that's how okay, that's where it evens out because it's like, man, everybody ain't supposed to be shooting man. Whether if you, if you could shoot or not, you just like. Jalen Williams remind me of Brandon Bowman. A lot of similarities, six-eight, shoot the mid-range, tough, tough defendant. He young though. Jailen Williams can get a second gear man you get him a chance I just think the Nuggets experience is going to kill him in the end yeah it's gonna kill him in the end SGA can't do it by itself I don't think
Starting point is 01:25:38 I think he'll know how to win he don't know a win yet I think the Nuggets shot how they're supposed to shoot though they ain't really a three-point shooting team like that to me and also all these first all these teams have been blowing everybody out I don't think they was ready for these comebacks. Like, OKC blew out fucking Memphis. I thought they probably thought the same thing's going to happen once you get a big lead. It was going to chill, but, no, you're playing against a totally different team now.
Starting point is 01:26:12 So I think both teams got a rule to awakening from Boston to OKC. Yeah, that's a matchup, too. We're not going to forget about Cleveland. But Boston played bad. But they were still up morning. But I'm saying they played bad. OKC didn't play bad. Denver was playing bad.
Starting point is 01:26:29 Thunder, least blown leads in the NBA this season. That's what I'm saying. Don't forget about Cleveland. Oh, that ain't Cleveland. All the top C's lost. The team that thought it was sweet. Yeah. But there's certain teams like the Knicks, the Nuggets,
Starting point is 01:26:43 they know who they're going to. You know what I'm saying? That'd be important in that fourth. When you don't know who you're going to and everybody... Up anything. Go sit in the corner. Them go to guys scare you. Right.
Starting point is 01:26:54 Oh, shit. So you talked about Yogi's body language, but we saw that clip, him fired up. We sent clips since Mike Malone got booted. I'm laughing how to switch up. It's so real, dog. When I said they only had one star, the other motherfuckers is too young. Oh, God. You can go on this.
Starting point is 01:27:18 It's crazy now. Man, they're still winning now. No, I'm just saying that, you know. Well, you said they can still win it? I got one player that's that's that's proven everybody else is kind of young and But the way they lost the way okay so we got Hartstoy got caruso Oh shit oh my god caruso oh my god 20 in the game well yeah don't disrespect
Starting point is 01:27:43 20 off the bitch yeah five steals if caruso is you If that's what you're relying on that he has to be your second best player Hey I rather I rely on cruso Caruso over brown whatever the motherfucker man On Denver. Christian Brown? Chris Brown. Who's who don't play on Denver?
Starting point is 01:28:02 Christian Brown? He's saying, no, I mean, he don't play. What is that got to do? They're not relying on. That's how they're right. No, they don't. Last night they did.
Starting point is 01:28:11 For three, that's two. He had a double double. He had a double. Clippers. Clippers and games, seven. We're not talking about Christian Brown. We're talking about who is OKC second option. We know.
Starting point is 01:28:24 The same thing I said, who is it? Is he good enough to help carry the load. What was Denver second option? Jamal Murray. And then you got Aaron Gordon? Aaron Gordon. You all said, well, but if you take out Aaron Gordon, we have Murray, who is a proven
Starting point is 01:28:40 second option. He used to be a first option until he got hurt. So you have those two, that if Yolkidge goes down, we know who's good enough to carry. And I said, OK, C, don't have that. Their second best player is a very young kid. And we talked about that with SGA's pops as well, and he acknowledged that Jalen Williams Young coming into his, But, man, he still, you know,
Starting point is 01:28:59 I mean, that's what I said. Like, quite a new playoff experience just yet. When you, when you look at the group, it's a veteran team, but their, their second and third main piece is still just very young right now. And I, I, I, I, you can see it like Jalen and Chet, right? They're young. They're going to do some young, they're going to do some young people shit. Right. They play as a group.
Starting point is 01:29:23 Yeah, they play as a group. But when they, when I need you to do it, that young shit come out. And I'm like, well, you know, Denver like, them vets, like, they're not going to take no bullshit. Like, they're not going to take no bullshit shots. Like, even with Christian Brown, he's still hesitant on some of the shit he do. Right? He's like, ah. I mean, so even when he got that, like, even when he got that rebound, remember he was hesitant.
Starting point is 01:29:46 He was going to get ready to go and he was like, let me go ahead and give it up. Yeah. And I know when Russ got it was like, oh, shit. Oh, yeah. Oh, shit, Russ. Russell is shit I was a little nervous He made that back
Starting point is 01:30:02 I said oh all right Yeah quick for when we continue Everybody who's watching stream If you have an audio issues Refresh very quickly Get right back to the show But let's keep it going But yeah you talk about that last play
Starting point is 01:30:14 Young and all Can we talk about the last play Young and all They still lost off What the coach told him to do though Nah that's irrelevant And we're going to talk about that in a second No
Starting point is 01:30:25 That's just irrelevant. Because he got to make them free throws. He makes the free throws. It's a different ball. But there were some coaching misgues from Dagnol in that game. And he said fouling on threes
Starting point is 01:30:36 is a philosophy they have, but you had Yolkitch on the bench. SGA got that dunk. They thought they were going to file in that situation to be able to get Joker back in. Foul right away. That leads to these opportunities. Obviously, hindsight 2020.
Starting point is 01:30:47 But on the OKC side, Shea remains confident that his team will bounce back after letting the lead slip away in game one. Yeah. It should be fun. There you go. We're going to find out what we're made of.
Starting point is 01:31:02 We're really made of. I love you. And we couldn't expect it to be smooth sailing this whole journey. No journey in life is, and we know that. And today is a bump in the road. Unexpected. No one expects to lose, especially that way. But it's the game of life.
Starting point is 01:31:16 So it's about how you respond to getting knocked down. And that's what we got to do next game. Listen, that's what I was watching the motherfucker. I was like five or 20 looking at this gatorade recently. Yeah, you know, so this gatorade. The ingrained is like, thirst quencher. She was hot, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:40 Jalen won, five or 20 in the game. All-Star edition. They needed that game. Horrible out of bounds play. It's horrible out of bounce play, right? You know, you, Shay, you just got a back door. Obviously, it was going to take away.
Starting point is 01:31:57 You're supposed to get the ball again. The person who's taking the ball out of bounds for rules, you're supposed to give him the ball. Say the ball. Give it to somebody young and some young shit, but you're supposed to give it to your best player, the best player who just, you know, so you got a guy up there who ain't been in them situations before,
Starting point is 01:32:15 and you miss both free throws. It's fouling too early, too. They're filing too early too. Okay, see. You see. They filed a man, like soon when he touched the ball, they just touched me. He couldn't even put to let something clock.
Starting point is 01:32:28 run out before you file. Right? If you're going to do that, at least let them dribble up the court. That got to take a couple seconds off. I don't like fouling. I don't either. I would have just let them. I don't like fouling.
Starting point is 01:32:40 I don't like fouling up three. It is designed for an ale. Give it points away. It don't make sense. Yeah. Because now if they make their true free dose, they're going to file you. Now you got to make you.
Starting point is 01:32:53 Now you got to meet you. Put the pressure back on you. Yeah, because if he misses it, they got a foul game over. If he makes it, I got the last shot. I don't lose. So it's the situation like I've always asked.
Starting point is 01:33:08 That was done yesterday. Powell, can you cue up that last play from the highlight when you get a second? The Rust of Aaron Gordon game winner from the highlight. We'll get Paulo a second to get that going. Hardest working man. I mean, we can talk about. We can talk about what OKC didn't do all day. I'd rather talk about what Russell Westbrook did do in the final play.
Starting point is 01:33:37 Our advanced technology. Which was the one thing that I think separates Russ from everybody else, even when he plays reckless at times. Right here, right here. The next one. Yeah, you can start it from right here if you don't mind. All right, so what I remember about basketball, pitch your head right here, stop it. All right here.
Starting point is 01:34:02 What I was taught about basketball, whether it's point guard or shooting guard, get the ball cross the midline. Cross the midline is going towards the middle of the floor, which collapses the whole defense for an open shot. Russell Westbrook is the standard point guard who understands that. And the moment he caught it, he looked up and he's seen it. The only thing he could do was the attack, and he seemed, seen with him. He seemed what he seemed, he was a wide open man.
Starting point is 01:34:32 And that's Aaron Gore having the intelligence to run the floor space out. Check got to make a decision, late, bottoms. That's all Russ. That's all basketball savvy, push the bright. Because if Russ keeps the ball in his right hand and he tries to go baseline, it's a dead play. I think a lot of us thought that was going to be Russ. You know, Russ only knows one speed. Clock left.
Starting point is 01:34:58 I think in that moment he stopped thinking about himself and he was like, I need to make a play for somebody. And we're in transition, three, four seconds left. I think he made the perfect play, the perfect basketball play for the win. And it was in real time. And I applaud. I want to applaud. Look how hard joke on right in for that movie. I mean, they didn't need a three though, but I get it.
Starting point is 01:35:23 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's still five seconds left when he got it. I mean, they down once. You don't need a three, but I mean, I take it. It's a comfortable shot. Running into it. We work on that right there. I mean, I mean, I ain't going to front.
Starting point is 01:35:39 I mean, I ain't going to front. You could get him a little bit and touch half court, come back. That's the drill we do. Touch half court. Oh, that shot, will we? All night. No, I mean, no, it's a good shot. I'm just saying Ruska still could have went down the middle some more and get them to.
Starting point is 01:35:57 Almost dribble with us. Turned off his foot. Yeah, you already know. He did exactly what you're supposed to do. We've seen both sides. He missed that. We didn't need a three. If he misses that, that was a horrible play.
Starting point is 01:36:09 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Great shot. Right, that's what I'm saying. But you don't need a three. You can't have a three. If he missed a shot. But you don't need a three. Who is the worst shooter on the court?
Starting point is 01:36:20 Right. That's their position to shoot. Right here. So, I mean, as a defensive team, you're living with that. You're living with who Russ? With the ball? You're loving, you're, you're, you're, the word,
Starting point is 01:36:30 Aaron Gordon, no, you're, no, Aaron Gordon. You're living with Aaron Gordon and shooting three. Shooting the thing with Chad closing. And that's why Chet was basically stopping Russ from getting in the basket. And they didn't get a three, so he could have went white, I mean, the Nuggets happy they're getting the catch, even if it's right. Yeah, no, no, I mean, both sides is happy. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:36:48 Right, you're like, okay, that ain't Yolkish, that ain't Murray, okay, we cool. Both sides can't be happy. One side, one, one side lost. I'm just talking about at this moment. moment. We're stopping right now. Game. Not talking about the game. Game.
Starting point is 01:37:00 I'm Aaron Gordon. That's game. Because guess what I just did? I just, I had a game winner before. A dunk. I hit a three to time. I think I put us in position before that with a three. Yeah, he's a game before that.
Starting point is 01:37:12 I hit a three to put us in position. Everybody knows I can hit this shot. What you're talking about? We're in position for a reason. Dunk, don't chat earlier in this game. A lot. All right. Well, let's talk thundersided things.
Starting point is 01:37:26 So OKC head coach Mark Dagnall. Took the blame for the thunder fouling up three and deciding to go back and forth with free throws, which ultimately hurt them. Here's what he said. The fouling up three, that's on me. I think given the foul and getting the foul executed is critical. So if there's something to be learned from that, it's probably given it too early on my part. But that's not on the players. They're executing what I'm telling to do.
Starting point is 01:37:52 He said that that is the thunder philosophy. They always foul up three. At that point, Yolkich out of the game. He had five foul. Files, SGA gets that dunk, they foul right away. I've always asked the coach, why do y'all do that? And I've never heard one smart, responsible answers. Like, that's what they were taught.
Starting point is 01:38:12 That's what they teach. I've never understood it. Because if they do miss game over, if they make it, it's just tight game, bro. It is the right time to do it, I feel like. Under three or two. You're giving them two points. But if I'm up three, and it's like, two or three seconds left, I could see it then.
Starting point is 01:38:31 But not 13. I was like 10 seconds left. Like I said, Yokish on the bench at that point. They were trying to sub them back in, thought they were going to play the foul game. SGA gets that dunk. Remember I said that? I was like, I mean, they score when they're going to hit these two free throws. They're still about nine seconds left.
Starting point is 01:38:47 I can still score again and then fouling like there's too much, too many possession. The other part of that conversation, SGA 90% free throw shooter, should he took it that dunk there. I'm saying get the two points. right always. When you have to dump? Or you try and burn a little more. Get the no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:39:04 You got to get your point. They were talking about on inside the NBA. I think the thought probably was about. No, no, no. They hit game winners. Don't you worry about that. But I'm thinking the same thing. None of them got the ball talking about, like,
Starting point is 01:39:15 so this ain't even in conversation. And I was rolling with the kids to put me over on my pick and my underdog. I needed 32.5 points. I'll say, dunk it. The problem is, it's, as a coach, you ran a play that got a wide open layup. And then you double back on the same play.
Starting point is 01:39:36 Like they're that stupid. Run another play, something different to make sure your guy gets the ball. To make sure your guy, the MVP or the runner up gets the ball. If this was Denver, there's only two people that was going to get the ball in that situation. your Yokage. Murray first, Yokin' second. If I can't give them the ball, fuck a timeout.
Starting point is 01:40:06 Anytime you try to be smarter than the game, that shit always going to show. Coaches, they'll be trying to do some shit like that. Like, come on, man. How are you going to get some niggins to point? What are we doing? You stay on the sideline. At the end of day, you still on the sideline. You ain't doing the hooping shit.
Starting point is 01:40:23 So why are you giving niggins point? For real. Give a dickest points. Dang. That n'am. That niggas don't want to be at that freak-thil. Yeah. We saw it last night. For real.
Starting point is 01:40:31 That ball feel like a brick. Mm-hmm. That ball get heavy. All seven foot just... That's the, that ball get heavy, tapped on the chest at the free throw. That shit got so heavy. Christian Brown didn't even want to rebound.
Starting point is 01:40:41 But how did that feel, though? You saw, you saw Westbrook. Yeah, they was like, man, fuck that. I was like... Yeah, I was like... You saw Westbrook peel out on the second-minute's free throw to get it, but I was there before that stuff. Brown was like, man, I don't...
Starting point is 01:40:56 Yeah, Christian Brown came like, like that. They were both just looking at it. You don't want to be at that line? That's why Russ knew. They said, I'm passing this one. Not today. They're not going to be today. Survey, Russ. When you surveyed not. It's not on me to. It was like, don't file me at the free time.
Starting point is 01:41:11 Was you the past? I don't want that. I don't want that. Well, Russ. Yeah, that was a great play. That was a great play. You would have made that pass? Yeah, hopefully I would have.
Starting point is 01:41:20 Shit. Man, that was a great play. I'd hit that motherfucker in the writing. Bop! Right back left, would. See? See? See, I told you.
Starting point is 01:41:28 I told you. Yee. I told you. I told you. You're down one. You're down one. They got the best shot. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:41:37 I'm getting booed. Oh, I get booed at the end of the game. If I'm going to get booed, I'm getting booed on my own. Right? I'm not getting booed trying to make a good play. No. That was a nigga that was a nigga that said, you had a franchise. Uh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:49 I never had a franchise. Oh, I was like, hold up. And I know you're not passing to my fucking lower than you. Get up me. No, man. No, man. I mean, that was a good play for Russ. Yeah, Russ.
Starting point is 01:42:01 Come on, because you're going to make that play every single time. Come on, no. Huh? We just seen Rush jump in the air and throw it off a nigga. The nigga checking him. We didn't see Russ do that, so we got a phrase, Russ. Not for sure. You got to.
Starting point is 01:42:16 Hey, no, you don't call no time. I just go. Russ got it like, wait, wait, oh. Okay. All right. Young West probably. I think there might have been out of timeouts at that point, though. He coming into a seven.
Starting point is 01:42:28 He said like I get on the court just to mess shit up. Yeah. He knows itself nothing. Yeah. But he said, An old team too? That's the Westbrook experience. You gotta take the good with the bad.
Starting point is 01:42:38 May, shot, mid-shots? Still, turnovers, you never know what you're going to do good. He really playing his best basketball, we've even seen. No, yeah, this is... This is great basketball from Russ. Yeah. Yeah. MVP season was great, but he was still out of his mind.
Starting point is 01:42:53 Game be out of his mind. You know what he... When you see him control like this, you gotta fuck him. How is we not rooting for? How is we not rooting for us to win a chip and solidify himself in history? Basically after that situation that happened with the Clippers last season.
Starting point is 01:43:08 He's getting cloned. He's fighting for it. He's fighting for it. He won't. He can feel that shit close. It's close. It's close. And he with Joker?
Starting point is 01:43:19 He with somebody he can get it with. Back in O.K. You know what in O.B. It's because of how he won't. He won another championship. They're going to say Joker the best player to every play. It's because how Russ plays everything is so boom.
Starting point is 01:43:32 Yeah. Right? Like his steals, his rebounds, the nigga, Mr. Leia. Like, everything is so explosive when he does bad, it looks bad. Right? Missalaya been fouling a nigga at the three-point line. Like, you just, it just comes in waves, and it's like you just got to, you just got to take it. Like, you know, like you got to have a minute.
Starting point is 01:43:51 That's what I'm saying. How many times I know you can play with a lot of coaches before y'all win pro? Mm-hmm. It wouldn't have been too many coaches that would let y'all do that rush and still made it to the next level. Yeah, yeah, you're right. It would have been. You know what I'm saying? They'd be like, no, this nigga out of his mind.
Starting point is 01:44:09 Get him, you know what I'm saying? He's nothing like that. He too wild. He was flying, though. I feel you. He'd fly head first into some shit, though. Nah, not Young Russ. Young Rush?
Starting point is 01:44:21 That's a crush. He's a lot. The finals now. Come on, man. Young Russ is a good. Young Russ different hoax in the middy. He still played with that patient speed. We never found out why KD left,
Starting point is 01:44:33 but I think it got something to do with that crazy shit. No, no, no. If Kiki was in that corner, that motherfucker would have went right. Oh, shit. What is it? He's talking about. He ain't the only MVP. No fact.
Starting point is 01:44:48 That's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy. He would have went on. No, this is come on, man. The freeze-out okay-D. So quickly before we move on. He just.
Starting point is 01:44:56 tries to play too perfect sometimes. I think a lot of his mistakes comes from he's trying to play too perfect. Russ don't know the word perfect. He don't get a fuck about perfect. Like sometimes he'd be making moves and I'm like, nah, that's the one you take. And he's... They'd be thinking. Just be thinking too much.
Starting point is 01:45:12 Yeah, just be thinking too much sometimes. The critics, man. It's the... He's good when he's not thinking. You ask Russ, he said, man, it's a part of the game making mistakes when you play hard. Man. You're going to make more mistakes when you play that hard. If you would have got eight, seven turnovers a game for your whole 10, 12 year career, you would.
Starting point is 01:45:31 That's not the stat. Nah. Nah. That ain't the stat? What is it? Eight seven turnovers a game for Russ is insane, bro. What is it? Don't say that's going.
Starting point is 01:45:38 I'm just saying that sounds crazy. I'm just saying that sounds crazy for Russ as a point guard. And you know, that's insane. But I get what you saying. Russbrook, four turnovers per game. Four turnovers, he averaged in about what? Nine, ten. He averaged it.
Starting point is 01:45:54 Four. Eight and four. That was a great year. He's two and one. I wanted him to win the MVP. For four years. He's two and one. He's two and one.
Starting point is 01:46:02 But Russ, when you play that reckless, right? But you know how to play. The coach's going to love it because you're playing with purpose. It's purposeful. Well, it's all that's purpose. I love it. Some people he said didn't like him, man.
Starting point is 01:46:16 I love that thing. The only way to disarm Russ is to wear some shit he don't like. Everybody. He's going to check you. I like him. He's just not on that. That level were straight. Everybody needs that same string though.
Starting point is 01:46:28 Like, you know what I'm saying? B. Jen is at the point when, if you would have been doing that shit, you were not out there long time ago. No, I feel like everybody that's trying to create some going to get turnovers now. If you're out there, everybody that's creating. Highland Youngs, they get turnovers and shit too. But you got to do it your way. That's what he do.
Starting point is 01:46:47 He said, I'm going to do it my way. It's going to be Russell Westbrook in the history books. You can be like... At the end of the day, you got to have that fuck it. That's the only way to survive. Yeah, fuck it. You know, you know why a lot of coaches actually like him? Because he plays so hard.
Starting point is 01:47:05 So when you're talking about practice, when you talk about preparation, when you're talking about the game, and you're telling the coach to judge who he wants on the court, Russell Westbrook is going to always stand out to them. Because he does one thing that you're begging your team to do, go hard give me effort that old saying
Starting point is 01:47:28 just go out there and play hard and then he'd be like wait hold on you got to play smart too but with him just go out there and play hard you know what I mean and I think that's where he lies with coaches like the coaches like I want him on my team right because if he can get
Starting point is 01:47:46 just one or two other players or go as hard as him we're good you know it's just the media just has this thing because they look at a whole bunch of of empty shit that has nothing to do with the game itself. Mm-hmm. You know, you bash your dude for getting rebounds. That's effort, motherfucker.
Starting point is 01:48:01 You mad at him for just effort? Yeah. I'm with you. I'm with you. Crazy. So, Thunder 1, average margin of each year, nearly 13 points per game. You think they bounce back in game too? Okay.
Starting point is 01:48:29 Oh yeah. For sure. They better. Am I the only team that thing, the only person I think okay, see you're going to win it. Yeah, probably. Going to win the series. I'm the only person? I'm the only person?
Starting point is 01:48:41 I think so. I don't know. Yeah, I think so. I think they can win it, but I ain't as confident as they record like the first person. You're not the only person, man. Oh. I don't think so. Yeah, they're not winning it.
Starting point is 01:48:54 This series now. You don't think so? No. Oh, no. No. Too much yo-kish. Right now. last night's game, like, you played well, y'all played well, they played bad day one.
Starting point is 01:49:08 You know what I mean? And that's, and that's, that's the only thing I don't, I'm questioning that they played well. They played well to win by 20 and they lost it. So if Denver plays well, too, like, what do we? So how much pressure is on them going into this game too, though? Because you go down O2 and you got to go to Denver for two games. Dave. Demmer just came from a seven-game series.
Starting point is 01:49:31 That's what I'm saying like it was against them they was tired they was I don't know I You know I mean I got to see how game two is played I mean I think okay see had too much rest too though They didn't play bad though it's not like I know but you know it's just that like even with the calves play a little bad Remember the calves like they play like there's some They both shot 42% both shots 42% for 9 man Jaylorne was 5 for 20 they both shot 42% That's 42%? Five for 20? That's one player.
Starting point is 01:50:02 I think he's talking to you. That's not, never mind. No, but they play good. That's not playing good. We just killed Welfarekawler for that. What? Boston for shooting them type of shots. No, I said the team.
Starting point is 01:50:14 They both shot 42% from the field. Then OKC shot better from the three. Denver shot better from the free throw line. Sean, are you feeling a nugget sweep? Lakers in five. We are not talking about teams that are not in the post season currently Snick on dope a dog food
Starting point is 01:50:34 Lakers in five Don't we got a game tonight Remember we'll have a game tonight against No no we got the sweet right Remember the sweet? Remember the sweet? Nobody said anything about it. We got a suite remember I had my own And y'all had y'all on play tonight
Starting point is 01:50:49 Lakers and five right Lakers played a day I don't know but it's been other good games Yeah why you got to? Oh no no better game than Lakers and five Worry about the C Calf. Shit, Calf. Ain't no better game in the Lakers in five.
Starting point is 01:51:02 It's Laker Day and we're talking Lakers today. Oh, no, hold on. We're supposed to take we're about talking Lakers. Come on, man. How long that man? Are you worried about the jersey? What's the day? And then when?
Starting point is 01:51:16 Stop! Oh, Tuesday! It is safety, Maya. You miss me? You mean you say you miss me, Nick? Damn. Homey? So yeah, I think...
Starting point is 01:51:33 Yeah, Lakers in five. Like I said, I got Ongi. Yeah, put up some music so we can do a little job to it. I'll put my belt on. I got okay, see, first off. We ain't doing Lakers in five no more? We had tacos yesterday. Oh, okay, you're over it.
Starting point is 01:51:50 I mean, shit, bucks at home. I mean, shit, bucks at home. Now, Lakers is clowning me, but now it's like the, It's like the clown is here. He did this. Yeah, boo, I'm here. No, Lakers in five. I said, Lucas.
Starting point is 01:52:05 Luca. You said, remember y'all with Luca, Luca, Luca, Luca. Did this nigger just get out of jail? Like, like, this last, Luka, Lugick up. That thing was supposed to do the weekend. The nigga just got out, that shit.
Starting point is 01:52:21 Yeah. This is weird now. We're in the second round. Hey, that's what happened when they, they put me in jail. They kept me off, I gotta get my shit off. I don't know when I'm gonna go back to jail. See, let me get back in this shit.
Starting point is 01:52:36 I don't know when I'm going to go back to jail. I don't know where, see it. I never know. I wake up and it ain't my turn today. See it. Because I love to come in on a Monday when you know what folks was talking that bullshit. There was no Laker conversation on Monday. Yeah, I know it ain't no Laker conversation.
Starting point is 01:52:51 We know. I'm trying to help you talk about the Lakers. Not interested. We're talking about teams currently in the playoffs. I mean, his chat. I told you all his chat GBT was fucked up. Lake Queen updated. You gotta hit the update button, maybe update.
Starting point is 01:53:04 Update, just update your software. Luca, right? Talk to Alexa. Talk to Alexa. They got a new thing, Gemini or some shit I heard. You gotta fucking Gemini. What's that one? You know, that's a classic one.
Starting point is 01:53:16 Ooh, I am. He got the most LeBron jersey on the couch. Because I thought he was gonna win the chip this year. Oh, okay. I'm sorry. He told who he was going all the way. I invested in this shit. Damn.
Starting point is 01:53:27 Now I got to pack this shit up and go to K and cool. Should it have stayed right there in the back. Keep it for next year. You're about seven days too late? It'll be pertinent in the 2026. That nigger shit, Laker's like what sure the fans will appreciate Lakers and Furn. Damn.
Starting point is 01:53:42 That joke been killed all the weekend. But guess who's laughing now? Nobody. Me. Oh. Oh, this niggins are. ass shit. Yeah, I could laugh at my own
Starting point is 01:54:00 jokes too, nigga. What fuck is y'all niggas talking about? Lakers in five, like I said. We're talking about current playoff team. They don't like that shit, huh? Come on, man. Pick the energy up. Y'all niggas had good Laker energy. Now y'all
Starting point is 01:54:18 you're watching from afar. Bucks and Lakers. You laugh like that. Bucs and Lakers. Now y'all got shit to say about the winning teams. That's like that again. Y'all. He's back to the weird old time, man. Let the winner team talk, man.
Starting point is 01:54:32 That's it. Let the winters. That's it. Now, pick routine so you can enter the conversation. Winning team is Cleveland. Can we talk about Cleveland? That's the winning team. Come on.
Starting point is 01:54:40 I thought we were talking basketball. He said, we talk of Cleveland. Don't you deserve a seat? Yeah, Cleveland. I'm just saying, you picked Cleveland, didn't you? Nobody else over here picked Cleveland. Hey, just the hate. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:54:54 To bring a. You got to bring it. better than that, Nick. No, we're just talking about it. Out of nowhere, why do you want to talk about LeBrona and Lakers a week later? I wasn't here when y'all was. That's your problem.
Starting point is 01:55:06 I don't know. I had my clown outfit. You did wear a clown outfit. I guess I just passed the party next time. I wasn't scheduled. I was taking off the schedule. I'm just going to show up then. I'm just saying I had mine last week.
Starting point is 01:55:19 I had the clown off it last week. I had the clown off it last week. You got drugs on this week with that LeBron shirt. That motherfucker out of here. Oh, so he is. is the clown. He's out of here, baby. Buddy.
Starting point is 01:55:31 Verify that quick. Aughty. He's talking to you, you to LeBron. Adi. You get clutch, you. Don't do that. Don't switch up. Stay on this side.
Starting point is 01:55:42 I'm a Knicks fan. 2026. Big Nick interview. Brunt said. Brut said. Brutson. Brutson. Bruton.
Starting point is 01:55:51 Brunt sand and genuine. Jellybrat. Well, let's talk a little... Hold on. We ain't gonna cue the free willie music. We do not have the legal means of doing it. They're not gonna play my music. Ain't gonna play free willie music.
Starting point is 01:56:07 Shit, the Michael Jackson estate very... Everybody was waiting on it. Do do-do-do-do. Very litigious. Do you. Keep it under nine seconds. Go ahead, man. We ain't playing it because...
Starting point is 01:56:19 I have fun. We're supposed to be here with me. We're supposed to be doing this to gather. Talking about last. Oh, all right. We have shifted our focus to curve play. You know what dance that is. Hey man, y'all remember when John Moran was throwing the grenades?
Starting point is 01:56:38 But let's keep his moves. So, Jordan, we have you on this couch. We got Warriors Wolves meeting in the Western Semite. You spent a season with the Warriors the year before they won a championship. We got to play with Youngstaff, Clay, Draymond. What do you remember from your time with Golden State? What was it like playing with that Young Splash Brothers crew and Draymond? Man, I remember Mark Jackson hating on the Knicks.
Starting point is 01:57:02 That is a fine memory to have? No, no, for sure. But, I mean, you could tell that they was, when I got traded there, it was me, Marshawn Brooks, Andre Goodala, Steph, Clay, Andrew Bogart, David Lee. So you could just tell that they was on the something. And Drayman was, Jermaine O'Neill, Drayman was in the second year already leading and talking too much. So you could just tell that they was on their way. And I think Mark Jackson did a good job of motivating Steph in a way, you know, because I remember
Starting point is 01:57:35 Steph used to not want to do one-on-one battles with Chris Paul and Mark Jackson used to make him like, hey, the only way we're going to beat them if you go at him. And that was, you know, stuff, that was all stuff needed for real, was that little battery in his back. But you could tell they was going to do all this a little bit. I mean, you ain't know he was going to change the game like that. But it's great to see. So even in that season there, you knew the Warriors had a chance to be special.
Starting point is 01:58:03 Yeah, yeah. They had to play me a little more. We could have won it that year, you know what I'm saying? That's. But, no, you can tell that it's going to be special. I mean, the vibe around there, just being in the bay. And the way Mark Jackson was pushing Clay and Steph, you could tell that it was a little different from the rest of the NBA, just the juice around now.
Starting point is 01:58:23 How was Mark Jackson? Yeah, coach. I mean, he ain't played me. I know, I feel, you know, I feel like you should be back in the NBA. I'm like, shit, you got the same draw I got. You know what I'm saying? You ain't get back in there? I ain't get back in there.
Starting point is 01:58:38 So that's how I feel about my Jackson. You think your style was just too early? I think my personality was too much, too, because I care too much about just wanting to play. Nobody can see that. We can't see that from what we see, so talk about that. What was about your personality that made it? My competitiveness, I mean, I like, when I was in D.C., if I would have just shut it up and just been a shitty-ass team and accepted it, I would have got my money. But the fact that I wanted to, like, try to prove something, you know, it kind of, it wasn't with the program.
Starting point is 01:59:12 Yeah, against it. Yeah, it didn't, you know, it didn't make sense to them. So that was like, of course, my style, you know, I felt I was a point guard, and I used my scoring to open. up things. And I feel like that's how, you know, all the six, four, six five point guards who get the ball, I feel like that's, it's their time now. So I do feel like I'm just ahead a little bit. But I mean, even like you, Stephen Francis, Steve Franchise, I mean, Baron Davis, like if they would have been, if y'all have been playing now, I feel like that's the same thing at the point. Like, it'd have been ugly, you know, just the freedom of what you
Starting point is 01:59:48 get to play with. So, yeah, definitely. Definitely. It was like a little more person. Because Instagram and social media had just came out too. It was a better time. I was doing, yeah, I was doing funny stuff. Yeah, I was already on that. But they didn't like that. Early. Yeah, it just kind of.
Starting point is 02:00:05 Too early. They didn't like that shit. A little bit. So after your NBA career, you had a successful international career, like I mentioned, we're averaging 43 points per game and Chinese basketball association. Go ahead, Swank. What do you think of all this one-on-one stuff? Like, why nobody ain't called you out?
Starting point is 02:00:20 No, they call me. I just need to get, you know, I just need to get paid. without way. You feel me? Like, if I'm going to do a one-on-one versus, like, you think you could play play Stevenson with me, man? Yeah, I mean, I can play anybody. Honestly, I just need to get paid for it. I ain't never really,
Starting point is 02:00:36 you know, I ain't get my second check in the league. It is, right? It is. So, yeah, so I ain't just going for the 10K or the I need, you know, the whole thing. Right. But I love to go jump. I mean, I love that, just like the
Starting point is 02:00:50 big three, like anything that's basketball in the United States, I feel like it's a time for it to pop off. That's why I'm even relevant because I went and did, I did the crew league, the TBT, you know, the big three. Yeah, like I didn't did shit that necessarily an NBA player wouldn't do. But it didn't keep me relevant, you know what I'm saying? So I love to jump in and you just got to,
Starting point is 02:01:15 it was hard for me keeping my name even relevant. So, you know, for me to jump in and you're going to get me some bread. Well, you back here on Gills were presented by a hundred dog, whoop, keeping your name, So yeah, successful international career also played in the big three on the enemy squad. Coach by our very own swagging team. Yeah, yeah. He took over for Gil.
Starting point is 02:01:34 He took over for Gil. LA Ride. LA Ride. LA Ride. Okay. But Swaggy Pete took over for Gil. He changed it. Guided your team to a championship.
Starting point is 02:01:44 The LA team, the LA team. I didn't want the... The enemies had too much Gil arena. Is there a new enemies? Oh, okay. Is there new enemies? Ain't no more enemies. You're the enemy, motherfucker.
Starting point is 02:01:56 You're the enemy. Ain't no more enemy. What's your colors? I was the same? Black and red. There ain't no more enemies. Jordan, what's Swaggy Pete like as a head coach? Oh, man.
Starting point is 02:02:10 You know, first we're going to see if he show up. Then if he show up, oh, he'd be coaching. You know, he'd be coaching. He keeps us all in a lie. He say the shit to me that no other player that the players are going to say. So he keeps me in check, you know what kind of things does he say to me?
Starting point is 02:02:28 He said, hey, man, you can't be scaring the players like that, man. You say shit like. Because they, you know, they're young and they're sensitive. And I go a little too hard. He's a good player's coach. I'd rather play for him than any coach in the big thing, you know what I'm saying? Okay. And even any other coach on this?
Starting point is 02:02:45 Okay, swag? My dog. That's why you're getting the big money, man. You know what I already talking? You were also. You're talking about the money. We need to talk about this money. Gil, also coaching the Big Three.
Starting point is 02:02:55 Crazy. You started it, though. You started it, though, Gil. Let me get some doubt. I appreciate it. Nah, y'all don't know. You rebound for me, too. You lucky.
Starting point is 02:03:07 You lucky. I ain't never said I wasn't great. Didn't win one to a man? No, you lucky. I remember a time. I remember a time where we was going to the draft process. And you didn't want to knock. nail one of the niggins that you got.
Starting point is 02:03:23 I didn't know. He didn't want one eye. Oh, I got a niggum with one eye. You didn't want him. Yeah. You didn't want nobody. I didn't know. I didn't mind.
Starting point is 02:03:32 Never mind. I heard what he said. I didn't know. I didn't know. The second or second, the second year, though. Like the first year, cool. The second year when I was like, you're going to be like kind of the coach.
Starting point is 02:03:43 Because I'm, man, I still want to play, man. So don't have this brother. Don't have a problem on there because he was. Hey, never said no shit like that. You're a lie to have, boy. I ain't never said that. Listen, when I got there, I had to say that. The team you wanted?
Starting point is 02:03:58 Nick, I didn't know he was playing. I know you didn't know he was playing. I know you didn't know he was playing. Until he played with me. You wasn't coach, bitch. Hey, man, draft my boy. How many people you wanted me to draft up that sorry-ass most wanted teeth?
Starting point is 02:04:14 No, we still got Elijah. It worked out. No, we have Elijah. It worked out. You picked up. I said, man. No, no, no, no. No, no.
Starting point is 02:04:22 No, no, no. I'm talking about my team. The left-hand guard. The left-hand guard. I'm talking about the team that won a championship for me. No, the left-hand. Say it, say, same. Left-hand.
Starting point is 02:04:32 Left-hand. Left-hand. No, he's one. No, is that left-handed. Yeah. He left-handed, he can shoot the three. We had them. We had him, and you wanted to make him a man.
Starting point is 02:04:42 I forgot. Yeah. Oh. I don't know his name. I don't know his name. Let me get a shout- Sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, that's what we wanted. That's what we wanted.
Starting point is 02:04:55 And I'm like, hell no, huh? Yeah, I thought it was in China's and shit. It worked, no. We were getting to that story another day, man. No, no, I thought he was in China. And once he came on our team that day, that one time, that's what you're open. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we ain't doing that. We ain't doing that.
Starting point is 02:05:14 Brother, this is the second year. They're trying to split us up. I know, I mean, you know, the first year, I just did some replacement. That's what I was. That's what I was playing. I was a replacement. And then that second year going on the draft, I got to say I got to make him a caton.
Starting point is 02:05:26 Man, what the bozart? I didn't say no, that was the third year. He wanted to get rid of it, bro. I was plotting on the big three, though. I was looking at, you know, trilogy when Rashid won, you know what I'm saying? Get some love to Rashide in the Trilogies. Then Joe Johnson, he put a stamp on it.
Starting point is 02:05:43 No, it made it legitimate, though. I see him now. We made it a lot of. They don't want to play. I was there. I was there at first year with Joe Johnson. We can do what? We can do a live on three.
Starting point is 02:05:54 Joe Johnson stamped that shit. We can do another three on three against them. We can't play. You know, but we made it, you know, we made it kind of cool, made the young people like it a little bit. So I'm appreciative of the position. You're going to play again? Yeah, we're going to play.
Starting point is 02:06:07 Yeah, excited to. Who y'all got now? It's me, Dwight, Elijah. Hopefully we picked two more good guys. Are y'all? Is your all three? Yeah. Are y'all going to win right there?
Starting point is 02:06:19 That's five, baby. Yeah, I got to. You all? You're glad? You're in the pool? You're about to make a return? You know, you're a- fucking around.
Starting point is 02:06:28 You ain't trying to play. You're America's most wondering right now. They put some money on your head, man. There's a huge risk to collect it. Very huge risk. You have former hoopers. You have battle rappers. You have a lot of different stuff going on.
Starting point is 02:06:45 They all tried. They all have failed. Dominating Twitter. Oh, yeah. Who's next? They said Ruffle calling That's why Who's next?
Starting point is 02:06:53 Who? Ray Felton That's why they said Ray Felon playing So I thought about picking them too So I ain't a fan I ain't a fan
Starting point is 02:07:05 I just because Both of them up Pick Michelle Annams Where do you bring this championship Who got Most of the United Make them play together Make them be friends
Starting point is 02:07:16 Give us that winning spirit We weren't we weren't We wasn't friends when we won the first time. Shit, we just going to win again. Nika, pass me the ball. I'm going to score. Move out the way.
Starting point is 02:07:29 Do what you did back then. Pass a move. History repeating itself. Swaggy bringing this championship experience of head coaching. Speaking of head coaches, Cavs head coach, Kenny Atkinson was named Coach of the Year.
Starting point is 02:07:43 Let's take a look. What's his name? Who? The North Carolina do. There's a lot of y'all. The loud tip. I forgot his name. We all forgot his name.
Starting point is 02:08:00 Let's keep this moving. Caves' head coach Kenny Ackinson was named Coach of the Year. Let's take a look if we can, Pallow, with that. Particular clip at our disposal, he received 59 out of a possible 100 first place votes, beating out J.B. Bickerstaff of the Pistons and E. May Idocha of the Rockets. Atkinson led the cab of 64 wins in the number one seat in the Eastern Conference. A very remarkable jump for the cabs going from fourth to first.
Starting point is 02:08:28 But you also had Bickerstive Pistons historic year. I think tripled their win total from the previous year, EMA Adoka, leading the rockets of the two seed in the Western Conference, which you guys have all said is the varsity conference in the NBA. So do you agree with Kenny Ackison winning coach of the year over J.B. Bickershaft in EMA, Oka. What was Detroit last year in the standings? He didn't even make it. 10th?
Starting point is 02:08:52 No, they were, I think, 14th or 15th. Whoa. Last, 14 to 68 last year, 15th in the east. Doka, she don't won that. Jumped up to sixth in the Eastern Conference. In Doka, whatever. 14 wins last season. 44 wins this season.
Starting point is 02:09:06 Yeah, but they went on that crazy, like, Winner Street, though. They went on a crazy winning streak, though. You wasn't in the playoffs last year, and you jumped to, what, third seat? Rockets were 11th last year, 41 and 41. Second? Oh, yes. Damn, shit, he could have got it to...
Starting point is 02:09:22 Jumped up to second in the Western Conference with a record of 52 and 30, plus 11 improvement. That's crazy. And especially after what happened in the situation. Calvert 48 and 34 last year, 64 and 18. I think... 64 and 18, it's crazy. It's crazy. That's crazy, though. We went 30 more games? This is won 30 more games.
Starting point is 02:09:47 I believe the Rock is won 11 more games. games, calves, they won. Let me do the math again. Fucking up. Damn. Yeah, there's a lot of credit being given to a man who has two teams in the playoffs
Starting point is 02:10:02 and forged relationships with both sides. One quicker than the other, Detroit, Cleveland, and you look at E-May, he'd go down to Houston. It's a shit show. For real. Shit show. But he put his imprint as a player on that team, which is also why he needs some offensive
Starting point is 02:10:27 assistant coaches to offset what he's so good at, which is the identity of their team, is how he played. Defense of mindset, play hustle, strategy, Popovich, all that. But he needs an offensive side. It's going to get Jalen Green more shots. This is going to get Easton's more shots, Javarie Smith more shots, get those guys involved. But I think between him and J.B. They've done more than the phenomenal.
Starting point is 02:10:54 It should be a co-coach of the year between them, too. Have there ever been a co-coach of the year? Like, can they do that? I'll disagree with that. Yeah, I'm rolling. Kenny did a great job, though. He put them in position. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:11:06 But it ain't his team. It ain't his team? It ain't his team. He's the current? Yeah. 64 wins, man. Plus 16 win, improve me. number one team in the Eastern Conference.
Starting point is 02:11:22 Three, twelve game winning streaks? Started out 15 and 0. Start out 15 and no. Now that's crazy. Haddique the player three times? You could have gave it to anyone. I don't think anybody would have complained.
Starting point is 02:11:37 But, I mean, Cavs, I mean, no one believed that they were going to keep the number one seed the whole year. Like, when they was on winning streaks, no one gave a fuck. Right? So, you know, the fact that they did win 68 games.
Starting point is 02:11:56 You know, that's, you know, Rockets 44. I mean, you know what I mean? 44, 48 is not really, you know, so, I mean, you know, the right person got it. I mean, it's not like it was a landslide. It was only 59 out of 100, you know. It was tough. But you're good with that. If this was like 2005, they would have had a clean suite.
Starting point is 02:12:20 They would have had an MVP, too. MVP? If it was 2005, why you say that? It's like the sun. They would have a defense player every year, a coach of the year in the MVP. Donald McI Mitchell would have been an MVP? Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:12:38 No. You only give it to him or Shea. I think Shay would have been MVP then for sure. Nah, is that exactly what he's saying? Because they came out of nowhere to be the number one seat. And he said they got coached- Yeah, but Shay, number- Shay-numbered.
Starting point is 02:12:53 Kobe's numbers was crazy. Yeah, but Kobe wasn't number one, though. Shea in them number one. So is Donovan. Yeah, so- But so is Shea-in-them-she's averaging over 30. They got coach of the year, defensive player at a year,
Starting point is 02:13:06 and a star player has regulated his game so the team can be number one. That's Steve Natt. That was the Steve Natch. One was number one and stayed number one. That was my Steve-N-A. But is Donovan Mitchell playing like an MVP? Yeah, why wouldn't he be?
Starting point is 02:13:20 Oh, you want him to be flashy and shit? No, I'm just saying, is he playing like an MVP? Like, is he playing like, is he playing like? The best player on the, you said he could not be the best player on the winning team. On a championship team. That's what you said. Is it not a championship team? We'll see.
Starting point is 02:13:35 No, I'm asking you right now. 68 wins is not a championship team? It's a good, yeah, they had a good season. But we're about to see down the playoffs if they're a championship team. I mean, the only reason they didn't win. I mean, didn't you just say, if you make it to the championship team. championship and don't win, you're not, it's not a chance, it's not a successful year. Was the Boston Telt is a championship
Starting point is 02:13:53 team last year? Yes, they won, right? No, before they won, going to be, going up, where they are, will we consider them to be a championship team? You told me, if a team get to the championship and they don't win it, that's not a successful season or a championship team. Did you not say that? Correct. Okay. So we're going to know. So we don't know. Until they get there. Do they look like a championship team? No. Not right now.
Starting point is 02:14:15 Cleveland Cavaliers do not look like a championship team. No, they just lost. So until they win it, until they get to the finals and win it, then we'll see. When Steve Nash won his MVP, the team won 29 games the year before, and he just added him and he won 62. But it wouldn't matter because that was the big jump from that team. What was Cleveland spot last year? Fourth, I think, right?
Starting point is 02:14:42 So you've been four to one. No, no, but fourth, and it was fourth because Donovanche was hurt majority of the year. But still, you're fourth. Like, I remember, he didn't get him. He didn't get to make all NBA team because he didn't play six. So he missed a lot of games and they still made fourth. But you're fourth. And the team that you beat out won the championship and you jumped them.
Starting point is 02:15:03 So that would give him the edge. There's Garland over there too now. 2962. Derek Garland. He's good. He's an all-star. He's like, he's what he's supposed. No, he's a big part of that success.
Starting point is 02:15:15 That's why I said they don't look like a championship team right now. They ain't got Derr's Garland. So we asked the chat. Is Kenny Atkinson the right pick for coach of the year? 44% said yes. 35% thought J.B. Bickerstaff should have got it. 20% thought E. Mae Addoke should got it. So let's take a look at the brackets to see where the Cavs stand in the Eastern Conference right now.
Starting point is 02:15:37 Ain't going to need Garland. Took that game one loss to the Pacers. Darius Garland missed the Cav's last three playoff games with a sprain left big toe. Listed as questionable for game two against the Pacers. Evan Mowley, DeAndre Hunter. We also be listed as questionable with ankle and thumb injuries. respectively, Kenny Atkins initially said that they were doubtful, but it shifted. It's not questionable.
Starting point is 02:15:59 Y'all got that bracket for the West? So we do have that bracket available for the West or conference? Oh, God, that looks so nice. Many Lakers, baby. We plan Golden State tonight. Go. Stupid. Let's go.
Starting point is 02:16:12 Go, Amen. Amen. Amen. I got that man. Amen tonight. It's in Minnesota too, right? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:22 That's the face right there. But talking back. What's the name coming back, Garland? He's questionable for tonight. There was talks with the game one. No, it is. That's what reports have been. But they're also reports saying he would try to make a return game too.
Starting point is 02:16:38 What is it? Sprane left. Oh, you gotta put that plate in this shit. Does that plate help? It stops you from bending it. But is that, yes. It's the shit, yeah. The plate don't really do it.
Starting point is 02:16:51 It stops you from moving, But is it worth playing with the plate in your shoe that don't let your foot bend? Or take a cortisol. Oh, yeah, because you're going to need something for a... Toward all, I mean, you can take a tourtile. You lose your mobility, so... He ain't going to feel shit. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:17:08 He's a little bit. Uh-huh. Yeah, yeah. All that is. Shoot me and my... Yeah. You know that shit black. That's dark black.
Starting point is 02:17:20 That's dark black. So how worried should the cabs be about the injuries to Garland, Mowbly, Hunter, especially considering that they lost game one. On Mowley, too? Yeah. Mowbly and Hunter got injured on back-to-back possession in the fourth quarter of the game one loss. Yeah, they need them. I mean, Indiana got a little, they got a little swagger with them too right now.
Starting point is 02:17:42 That's going to be hard to just fight off. Tyrese fight. He using that overrated. to turn him up a little bit. So it's going to be hard to beat him. I think they're going to whip their ass. I think Cleveland was just focused on Boston and they underestimate him.
Starting point is 02:18:03 Well, let's see today. You can't underestimate a team that went to the East Conference Finals last year. Well, it's Indiana. It's the guys that... He still don't respect to Indiana like that. Cleveland kind of, they relying on some guys that I just don't know about.
Starting point is 02:18:16 You know what I'm saying? I like Donovan. But then when you, I forgot my... My God. Jerome. Yeah. What, Hunter? He got a little too.
Starting point is 02:18:25 Ty Jerome with him. I like him. No, yeah. But you can't rely on them yet. You know, and you got to eat them, though. They're like, he's Derek White. Like, wait a minute, bro. Right.
Starting point is 02:18:36 Wait a minute. Relax, man. It's over for him. No, Garland, you need them. I know you do. I know you do. Gentlemen sweet. They don't get them boys back in two games.
Starting point is 02:18:49 It's a gentleman's sweet. I would love to play against, like, if that's the team I'm going to get. Hunter and Mobley hurt. Yep. That's over there. Like, if they don't play tonight or they play in hobble. They go down two o, it's nasty. It's over there.
Starting point is 02:19:04 Like, if this was a healthy end. If it was a healthy Cavs team, they can't afford nobody. We're not talking about, but they're not actually healthy. It's not healthy. Yeah. If they were Mitchell against Indiana? Yeah. Mitchell by and Joe.
Starting point is 02:19:15 No. No, is Mitchell out there trying to take that one on, that that part of, he got it. He got to personal, though. But he got to. Yeah, but he played different when it's another point guard that's like... You try to rely on the rest of your teammates. This is not, this is not it.
Starting point is 02:19:28 You shot like 30. You need your point guard to do that. You rely on you and your point guard rely on everybody else. If you're trying to say, all right, I'm going to take away my score to then give them the ball. That becomes a problem. If he has 10 assists, he has 10 assists, 15 shots, they're not winning. But they had to be hitting for them to win. That's kind of what he did all year.
Starting point is 02:19:50 So they sacrifice all year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Barlin. So that's what I was saying about him. Him doing that all year puts him in a very bad spot now. Yeah. Because they're looking at you like now take all the shots. And you're still trying to play team ball because it's already imprinted in your mind.
Starting point is 02:20:06 So I look at it now like they don't got a chance because we can key in on the things y'all lack. And I always said to the homie, y'all need all the players healthy. Y'all need Hunter at 100%. You need Todron hitting at all cylinders. You need Okoro coming in there, playing fast. If anybody have an off game, it's all. It's off. Struz's got to hit.
Starting point is 02:20:29 Everybody got to be hitting on all cylinders. Man, me didn't seem crazy as shit. As long as you have, no, what I'm saying, as long as you have Mowbly, healthy, you're good, but if him and Garland's out. Nah. And Hunter. And Hunter.
Starting point is 02:20:45 I mean. Hunter is a big piece for him, though. Steph has some PE teachers out there with him playing by itself against Houston that one game. PE teachers? He do. Rolf. Yeah, but Steph are different. Yeah, the Steph effect is a thing a little bit.
Starting point is 02:21:02 It's a thing a little bit. But that's why they always struggling because they do be playing with a whole bunch of, like, who is this? Got a whole bunch of caddies with him. It's too many. They still pull back. Was it game three? Something like that? Got this golf buddy with him.
Starting point is 02:21:19 But even if there was somebody that you recognize, they're still gonna be running around like the rest of the motherfuckers out there looking the same way. Now, Steph gotta go one more. Steph don't go one-on-one enough no more. You see what happened with a man? Tired, man.
Starting point is 02:21:32 I feel it. No, he's got to go. He'd be doing so much. That's why he got rid of Jordan Poole, though. Yeah. But that's why they got Buddy Hill, though. Nah. And he didn't go.
Starting point is 02:21:43 And, he didn't. And he ain't. He ain't like. Who got that? I like it. But y'all didn't see the reason why he had that game, right? That mutant that's chasing. You gotta get a nigga off you one time.
Starting point is 02:21:52 You gotta just let him know about it. He did. He did against, what's the name, at the top of the key? He went one or green. That was a big. No, no, green. He had green at the top of the key. Boom, boom, boom.
Starting point is 02:22:02 Step back. Ah, bye. Bye-bye. Is that alien that be guarding them? You gotta keep him off. You gotta set a whole bunch of back day. Set them a whole bunch of back there. Set them picks in the back court.
Starting point is 02:22:12 Fuck that, don't. Just get them off me, God. God damn. Alright, let's shift over. He'll run out of the end. He's like at halftime. He's subbed another twin. Right?
Starting point is 02:22:21 They don't play in the same thing. They don't play at the same time. So, Amman Timberwolves, host Chef Curry and the Warriors in game one in the Western Conference semis. Let's take a look at the West Brackets again to see where things stand. Shott another so make you very happy. But six verse seven matchup in Minnesota. That's six. So Nuggets leave the Thunder 101, Timberwolves kickoff action tonight.
Starting point is 02:22:44 Who are you taking in the Wool's Warriors? And then how much? many games. Lakers in five. Lakers are not currently in the playoffs. What's the name of the Minnesota? The Minneapolis Lakers. Okay. Where their birth plan. Come on, man. Let's get it right. Lakers in five. Come on, guys. Play along. Lakers and Timberville. I am a basketball historian. They have joined forces. Shout out Elgin'Bel. I know what I'm doing, man. Come on, Ant, man. They didn't have the Minneapolis. I want to go worse. I'm going to go worse. I'm going to work. I got the NPLLFOR if you want to
Starting point is 02:23:18 I don't want to go against the Warriors, Fred, because that's my... But I would like to see... I feel like Ant Man is on the, like, he want to go at all, like, the Kings are like, cut their heads off, LeBron, KD. And that's like some little brother shit, like you can't wait to be able to beat your big brother type shit. So I feel like he motivated for that. And I want to see how he played against Jimmy Butler. So what you got? Made the nigger Green go for, I'm going to go,
Starting point is 02:23:49 I'm going to go Wolves and seven. I'm going to Atman. Even though I like the Warriors team, it's an even series. It's an even way. I gotta go with the energy that Ant bring, man, that aura. I think that trumps all. I think it trumps all. Yeah, it does for me.
Starting point is 02:24:11 That's why I was mad they play the Lakers, real. Gilbert the Reams. I want to see. I'm going for Ant Man, Curry, and June Butler. Right? I'm going to see how Rudy doing against Dremont. Protect your neck, Rudy.
Starting point is 02:24:31 But I'm going, I'm rooting for those three. Sacray Blue. You say, crazy. You know, nigga, you got to see him again. It's going to be some league group PTSD. I see it. I don't know what I mean? Like, Rudy's going to have to come out
Starting point is 02:24:43 like dunking them off on the first plate. I don't see it. Because if you, if you just let him over time just keep knacking at you, yeah, he's going to fuck you up. Like, you got a first-played, like, goal-tend his shit. Throw it back at his face or something. I don't see Draymond. Or hard-fowl.
Starting point is 02:24:58 And that's the, you got to. I don't. Because, Draymond, this is much away from getting kicked out the series. So you might as well just sacrifice yourself. They can't win without Draymond. So, Rudy, listen, you better just, hey, I would go on there and start doing little shit like this. Let him do all this.
Starting point is 02:25:15 extra shit, kick us both out. Fuck him. That's the fact. He started to hit Dreemann back. That's a fact, dog. That's a fact. Now, listen. It's a great plan.
Starting point is 02:25:24 Ant Edwards has had a talk with Rudy, and he said, listen, we're not ever going to have that problem again. Because you made me look soft. And I ain't having that shit. So when these niggas come in here and they think they own that shit, hey, McDaniels, come here. Jew, come here, man. We ain't had you last time.
Starting point is 02:25:44 That d'nigot try that shit again, man. man, we all standing up. What's up? Ain't no more leaving Rudy on no island. We got to show them the energy that we're not having that no more because that's what beat us. For sure.
Starting point is 02:25:54 I'm not having that. I think on that energy because that's true leadership. Like, now, listen, him taking a shot at Rudy is taking a shot at me. And listen, Rudy, I need you to fight back, nigga.
Starting point is 02:26:06 I think Dremont has two more texts to play with at a disposal. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. One is coming for sure in this series. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 02:26:15 I'm going into the game, that's all I'm thinking about. Did you save it or do you still? No, you're trying to get it out the way now. You try to get it out the way right now. Yeah, you're trying. If I'm Rudy, amen, say whatever the fuck you want to him, he's going to lose it at some point. I'm banking, I'm banking on the over on the loss.
Starting point is 02:26:29 If I'm Rudy, I ain't got control. No, he doesn't have no control. It's just dirty. But if you ever look at his hits, it be the randomest shit ever. It's not random. You don't see him coming. You don't see it coming. Random.
Starting point is 02:26:44 They do that shit on. purpose. My fucker, swipe at the ball. The one on Terry Easton was on purpose. That one he flipped. That one of a fan flick was crazy. He knew he was right there. Come on.
Starting point is 02:26:56 Come on. Come on. Come on, dog. The leg is not that out of control. You didn't even roll that hard. Why? Come on, dog. And then he dropped kicked him for real.
Starting point is 02:27:05 You can, that's like the second. After he's done doing his crazy shit, how he tried to look so composed after. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I did that. Like, I got my shit off. Step back. Yeah, I did that.
Starting point is 02:27:19 Graemean also has his young boy. I got one off today. Frank Jackson Davis, past fans, Bradens grad. Add that one to the highlight. Like that he's talking to him. Like, then he got, somebody got a button over there. He definitely talking to him.
Starting point is 02:27:27 And then he's going to get on the podcast and talk about this. Turn it off. Turn it on. Turn it off. He has other teammates that could take some of the Tex and flagrants. Nah, it's all him.
Starting point is 02:27:39 He was boxing, though. I forgot. Rueblood. It was boxing. That's why you didn't go to none of games. He said he was looking for you, Roos. I was in Paris. He was looking for you. I was in Paris. He didn't start boxing into his... He doesn't like you. He doesn't like a lot of people. Most of us on this couch are
Starting point is 02:27:58 blogging. The only person he should like is Stremont Green. He loved me. That's the mother who who choked him. Me and Rudy are movies. He just told me he's in what we do that. Yes. We, we French, I saw with French kissing on French friends. Y'all better pay attention to the French fries. Let's move on to mostly. Prince kisses, Chris fries. Prince toast. Vigand what else you want? The Prince Miss fake at all.
Starting point is 02:28:21 The FrisBing at all. They're going to, what? Mostly fans presented by Underdog. Download the app. Use promo code Gil. Get up to $1,000 of bonus cash plus a special pick-em. We got one question from underdog user, A-Money, 0.
Starting point is 02:28:35 Who are the best forwards of all times when it comes to ball-handling skills? Best forwards of all times when it comes to ball-handling? Forward. Forward. Forward. That includes, like, small-forward? I just says forward so you can small power
Starting point is 02:28:49 Is it a nigga that that's really a three man that's playing forward Small forward or real or real power? Oh small four counts too? It says forward. It's not the thing between smaller power. Okay, so sure I'm gonna go power for it They said with a handle with in small forward. I got so you got Tracy McGree. Oh shit Trace McGree. Oh shit Trace McGree. I'm gonna go power forward Yeah, you go, Paul. I'm gonna go KG. Tim Duncan in there. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:29:19 Duncan in there. Oh, hello. Yeah, probably Lamar. Yeah. Yeah. Magic Johnson, right? Oh. Technically.
Starting point is 02:29:33 I mean. No, but that small, he was small for it. But I mean, if, what, six, nine, 15? I'll go. You play. Grand Hill. He'll be a shooting guard. He was a shooting guard, point guard.
Starting point is 02:29:46 This was a forward, play point guard. That's a who, that's a basketball question right there. Right, man, this is mostly fans. No, Drenlon Green. Oh. Small forward. Does initiate that. Julius Randon.
Starting point is 02:30:07 Power forward, like power forward, power forward, power for. Shit, Mike Beasley. You got a mark, you got a little Mark who's even power forward. Power Ford. Mike Beasley. The chat is saying Paul George. That's small Ford. It's a Ford.
Starting point is 02:30:21 Yeah. Paul George. I thought we all said Power Ford. Yeah. You can't change the mostly fans. They just said Ford. They just said Ford. Oh, no, but I thought he was like,
Starting point is 02:30:29 we're just going to do Power for it because anybody can be small Ford. I can put myself as a small Ford. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. What about KD? I didn't see nobody take it from KD. Probably, Paul. I mean, if we're going to, if small for is allowed, then you got to say Paul George.
Starting point is 02:30:47 He's the only one I got that thing on him. I'm about saying Melo had that thing. I'm about saying Melo had that clip on him. He had, yeah. He was not. No, he was not. Yeah, he doesn't hit that. He was bored.
Starting point is 02:31:05 You got a, he was a little. A shirt. Nobody handles? Like, Paul George is the one that has handles. Like, you try to jam him. He knows how to get out of it. He handled it more. He handled the ball more.
Starting point is 02:31:19 Mello didn't have to do it, but he could, mellow had wiggle, boy. At that size. I'm probably. You say yourself? I'm going to go myself. Small for it. I could dribble out of any situation.
Starting point is 02:31:34 I felt like, yeah, shit. Get it off. Get it off. Get it off. Are you crazy? Get it off. Shit. There's a dis between ball handle and hand,
Starting point is 02:31:46 and having handles. There's a lot of people who have handles, can't ball handle. Like, if you pick them up full court. They're going to struggle. Like, Luca struggles if you pick his ass up full court. But he got enough handles and a half court. There's a lot of people that's like that. Like saying, you can't dribble.
Starting point is 02:32:03 Say, Chris Weber? As a power forward? Yeah, Power 4. Oh, Chris Weber. But I'll take, like, I'll take Lamar Oldham over him, though. Lamar was a point guard. Yeah, Lamar, yeah. Yeah, he was like he was and one trick every like he was a point guard so
Starting point is 02:32:21 Shout out to Lamar Otto go power. I like C-Web I do like C-Web I do like C-Web I do like C-Web and he was a great pastor Trying to think is somebody else I'm like passing that my missus I know that's gonna hurt that's a high level and it's not T-Mack and it's gonna hurt too Fuck it's gonna hurt see what we're comfortable and I'm thinking small for I'm thinking so so so we do so small I was gonna say Joe Johnson be the small floor Joe Johnson Joe Johnson But that's the difference But that's like ball handling No Paul Pyrin' thing we're just saying
Starting point is 02:32:56 Yeah he ain't got So Kauai Leonard is the same thing He has to know Yeah, he got ball handle Penning Hardaway? Paul had hands on point guard Oh, you see L.A, he's on that bitch He's on that bitch, he's on that bitch, Iso.
Starting point is 02:33:11 He's on that bitch Iso. We're on the string suit. DG got that bitch on a string string I was about to say MASHburn, but he had moves. He didn't have, like he had, he had, moves, yeah, he had, yeah, yeah. That's what Jalen Green need, because he got handles, he need moves. He need no one to go to.
Starting point is 02:33:30 He needs to. God damn, who they working with. That's what they just doing cone shit, man. He ain't doing no... Cones and trash, man. You gotta get to your spot, bro. Where is your spots at? Jailen Brunson, the only motherfuck out there, like,
Starting point is 02:33:45 There like you can't stop me from getting there ever even if I turn my back. Do you have Winby on powerful? What about Turkleu? I think he is sending him. Okay. He was running the one. He can handle it. Wimby.
Starting point is 02:34:00 At least I'm about Lamar. Shout out Wimby. A good place for us to stop today. Yonis? What? Yonis. Not handles. He can dribble.
Starting point is 02:34:10 Yon is not about to cross nobody. What about Turkle? He's not dribbling just dribble. He's going to dribble and just dribble. He was running the one for it. But he was like, he was like Luca, give it to him in a half court and then go from there. When you're talking about like if you put a full court press on Lamar, Odom, he can get through it. Okay.
Starting point is 02:34:28 Oh the bitch between your legs. Like you ain't. Damn, I'm missing somebody. Oh my God, that's gonna hurt. That's gonna hurt. Not Tim Thomas either. A lot of them didn't get the show they handled. That's what I'd be saying.
Starting point is 02:34:44 They had handles, but they never had to use them shit. They sure niggins. Antoine Walker. That's why I had a shimmy shimmy, yeah. It's half-course shimmy shaking. And that Mike Beasley was a good one too. And he didn't ever have to use his handle. He got crazy hands.
Starting point is 02:34:59 Yeah, that's beautiful. I'm gonna Beasley. Michael Beasie can get to. I go KD for I go Beasley. Ain't handles have been in the move? Going into a move. If you say somebody got handles, you're usually thinking they can do moves. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:35:13 But it is like what he was saying, there's a difference between. So the Steph guy handles, or do he got ball handers? He got both. He just don't use his shit enough. Where did he get handles from? Where did he get handles from? He said he worked his ass on his freshman here. You don't work on handles.
Starting point is 02:35:29 You work on ballhanding. Where do you get the handles from? I know, but then you just start doing stuff. It just becomes like, yeah, it becomes natural. It's like, somebody checking me. If you're working on it, it just. Playing on the street, playing in the hood. Your swag comes from your handles.
Starting point is 02:35:46 All that shit comes from playing with me. You ain't ever played with before. But when you didn't hear just doing this. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, that's the tennis. Mike and Drew. That CP, though. He got ball handled, but CP never had handles.
Starting point is 02:35:58 When he was young, he had, well, I think step got both. Like, Steph got both. Because he used to get his ability. It's this big. Tube socks. He had six. He hit that gross per six one. Niggins C.P. was a whole different dude.
Starting point is 02:36:13 When he was going against Tony Parker early. He was with New Orleans. I mean, he was. He was handles, wasn't it? Steve Nash handles or ball handling? Huh. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:36:26 Yeah. Yeah. Ball has had that bitch on the street. Yeah, it's like he- ball handler or is it handles? Jamar Crawford, ball handle or handles? Handles. All right, my niggas, we know the difference.
Starting point is 02:36:36 But Steve Nash is like both though. Yeah. Is it or is it the most advanced ball handling that we've seen? That's the advanced ball handling. It is kind of dribble, bro. Steve Nash, handles are? Steve Francis, handles a motherfucking? All right.
Starting point is 02:36:52 They ain't ball handling? I hear you. They're ball handling. That it comes here. They come here. They go what? Jason Taylor. Ball handling?
Starting point is 02:37:04 All these things are not ball handling. Because they ain't really got... Garland got handles. Some people can't get past people. Yeah, you got to be able to get past people. With the moves you make. Boom, boom. What was that move we just seen?
Starting point is 02:37:16 Who hit the nigga with the... Was that old? SGA. No, that was... Murray. He got some handles. He got some handles. He got a little bit.
