Episode Date: December 10, 2025The Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Is DESTROYING The Milwaukee Bucks Locker Room according to Gilbert Arenas as Gil & The Gil's Arena Crew react to Giannis reportedly meeting with his Bucks teammates to ...address ongoing trade rumors and debate how the Greek Freak should be handling this situation as his uncertain future in Milwaukee is already causing problems inside the organization. They then react to the NBA Cup quarterfinals as the New York Knicks punched their ticket to Las Vegas with a win over the Toronto Raptors and break down what has been an up and down season for the Knicks. They debate who should be part of the team's Big 3 alongside Jalen Brunson & Karl Anthony Towns and argue over who is the most expendable out of Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby or Josh Hart as the team decides whether or not they need to make a big splash to improve their roster. They then move over to another power house in the NBA's Eastern Conference as Jaylen Brown has put together a career season for the Boston Celtics while serving as the team's #1 option in the absence of Jayson Tatum and debate what a successful season looks like for the C's before reacting to Brown's comments on floppers with a direct shot at Shai Gilgeous Alexander. Welcome back to Gills Arena, presented by Underdog.
Whoa, whoa!
A little light on the couch today, or not.
Or not?
Or not.
We all we got, we all we need.
How are everybody feeling today?
Doing good.
Right, you just came from hooping?
Yeah, you know what I'm trying to get my cardio, lose some weight, you know?
Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh.
Miss BC, you're rocking the Jay-Z.
Hey, rockabella, yeah, the whole, with the S. Doc Carter's, you know, I get down.
Okay.
Inspiration from the DiddyDock, what?
Huh?
With the sticky glasses?
Yeah, with the, and then the death row, you know.
I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I just inspired.
He inspired you back to the 90s, you know?
Can you made a cameo in the Diddy Doc, I heard?
Uh, not a person.
No, I'm sitting there watching to join in the little ballroom.
I'm like, hey, I know that jersey.
It counts.
Yeah, one of the, somebody had on that net's jersey in the little ballroom.
He made the dock.
Yeah, I was sitting there and saying, hey, I made it.
Made the dock.
That's the number one everywhere.
Back down to Elmary Lane.
But this is Gil's Arena presented by Underdog.
Woo-W-W-W!
I'm merely host Josiah Johnson.
Sadly, Gil is not with us today dealing with some personal matters,
but we'll be back in the arena soon.
However, we do have NBA champion of the world Swaggy Pete.
Nick Young here with us.
I didn't hear it.
There it is.
Give my shit.
Give me my shit.
On this side of the couch represent tough crowd
and a card-carrying country club member,
Mr. B. Brandon Jennings.
The rock is in the building.
And on this side, the distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff,
former number one pick, Kenyon Martin, back here with us.
And last but not least, the man they call Cemetery Larry, NCAA champion of the
world Rashad McCants, back in the arena.
The spike bat is one of those days.
Enthusiastic.
Yeah, you know, days off.
See, I get to watch some shit.
Hopefully we circle back to some topics.
You know, we are always free to circle back to whatever you want to.
We're always free panel, brother.
Gill's not here, so we have leeway, as Chris Paul would like to say.
Okay.
Percentages only go up when Gil not here.
Get those numbers up, but we got a lot to discuss.
Here's what's cracking in Gil's Arena today.
The Knicks are headed to Send City for the chance at an NBA Cup championship.
But does Brunson have a strong enough supporting cast to lead him to their first finals since 1999?
Jalen Brown has been putting together a career year for Boston without Tatum.
Are the Celtics still a legit threat in the East?
They've been playing very, very well lately.
The East is wide open.
And Janus reportedly met with some Bucks teammates to tell them to avoid the outside noise
and focus on basketball.
What does Milwaukee need to do to keep their franchise player with the franchise?
But before we get into all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog.

So let's start right away in Milwaukee.
So while Yannis's future in Milwaukee remains unclear
with the Greek freak sideline for the next few weeks
while dealing with a calf strain,
there are varying reports about what's going on behind the scenes.
So according to Shams,
the Bucks are in discussions with Yannis' agent about his status
and the locker room is starting to feel the tension
between Yannis and the team.
NBA insider Chris Haines also delivered an interesting report
during an appearance on NBA TV's The Association Tuesday night
saying that sources told him Yannis recently met
with some of his Bucks teammates to address the trade rumors.
So according to Haynes, Yannis' message was to focus on basketball
and to not let the outside noise distract them
while also relaying he can't control what goes on
or what even happens to him.
I don't know if I believe that to be true, but it is what it is.
What we do know is the Bucks are currently 10 and 15, sitting at 10th in the Eastern Conference,
and they've lost 10 of their last 12 games.
Mr. B, Mr. 414, Mr. Bucks, and 6th.
If you were the Bucks, how would you approach this situation with Yon is moving forward?
How would I approach the situation?
I mean, it's up to him.
I mean, the meeting is not a big deal.
I mean, that's what you're supposed to do, you know, as a leader.
when your team is struggling
and guys are on the team
that's playing for contracts too.
So at the end of the day,
you know you should just focus on basketball.
Whatever happens with him has nothing to do with the team
or has anything to do with any other other players
because you still got a job to do.
So the bucks, they're going to do what they got to do
that's best for them and for the future.
And I'm sure Yonis is going to do what's best for him
for his future.
So I think everybody just needs to just let it go
and just focus on basketball.
Okay.
Because it's just repeating news.
been happening for the last five years. So if he's leave, he leaves. If he doesn't, he doesn't.
At the end of the day, you've got to play basketball. So just focus on basketball.
Obviously, Sean's reported that the Knicks and Bucks were in preliminary trade talks back in
August with Yannis expressing desire. We're hearing a bunch of different thing. Winnhorst said that
Yannis had requested the trade, then Backtrack said he hadn't. Chris Haynes obviously has
his sources telling him what's going on. But let's move over to this side cemetery later.
We see the situation going on with Yannis in the Bucks. If you were the Bucks, how would you approach
the situation moving forward?
Is it time to start thinking about looking at some of these offers or men, defensive, be honest, keep him with the franchise?
If I'm the Bucks, hmm, if I'm the Bucks, what am I thinking?
It's based on his energy, because if his energy is disconnected from what we're trying to do, I'm definitely shipping them off.
I'm not going to sit around and wait for, you know, him to request or for, you know, for, you know,
the public opinion to sway what we need to do.
You said if it's a business, which the NBA has shown to reveal that it's more of a business
than it is a sport.
So at this particular juncture, we look at what the bugs need to do internally after
they've made so many mistakes repeatedly back to back to back, getting rid of coaches, getting
rid of players, you know, not really getting nothing for Dame Lillard, not really appeasing
what Yannis has been asking and requesting for.
I think as an organization, it's time to rebuild wholeheartedly.
And I think with that decision, you got to look at the assets on the table and see where
you can shop everybody.
This is not a Yonis thing now.
You break up Yonis and, like we've heard, 90% of the team, you're going to get rid of 90%
get rid of 100%.
Just start fresh.
Start fresh.
There's no reason not to.
So regardless of who's playing well, that would be if I'm the Bucks, for sure.
Yeah.
So just stand on that Bucke side.
You got Yonis Kenyon under contract this season, next season,
has a player option after 2027 that summer,
has voiced his concerns repeatedly about wanting to be in a winning organization.
And shot at your point, the Bucks have made a lot of decisions.
It seems like he's at least known or, you know, approved of some of those.
Obviously, there were reports that he wasn't rocking with Dame getting waived.
One of Miles Turner didn't realize what it was going to take for him to get there.
but now you've got multiple seasons now
first round playoff exits for a guy who wants to
bring another championship add another
piece of hardware to his resume
if you're the bucks how are you looking at this thing
yeah
like shy said Brandon said like
it just depends on him
it depends on his energy depends on what he wants to do
moving forward and you have to
act accordingly like he
is an integral part of what you
have done
he did bring you a championship
So those things have to go into account,
but what does it look like for him moving forward?
What is his energy like, like Rashad said,
what is his locker room present?
So things like this need to be said from him.
Like let's just go play basketball.
You guys play basketball
and whatever happened is going to happen.
Yeah, we, to continue this,
to continue this same song and dance year in,
out off season what he's going to do because of moves have been made that wasn't in their
favor to to go out and get another championship I think so and where are we now right is our
roster good enough with the honest to go out and compete which I think that answer is no
because you just don't fall off a map fall off the cliff if he's out this way you
And so, yeah, I think you evaluated closely on how he is and if there's an opportunity to get some draft picks and things, like some first round picks from some teams and put him in a right situation.
Some more like, yeah.
Yo, if you go to New York, who has more pressure, him or Luca?
To win a champion.
John is goes to New York.
It just depends on who they have to give up.
Yeah, for real.
But it's, I mean, it's the East, so we are expecting.
You know what I'm saying?
You were expecting, like, if he goes to the next and they trade for Kat,
and he goes there, you know, like.
Yeah, shit.
Who has more.
I think it's, they would become a favorite.
They'll become the favorite in East.
So the pressure would be there to.
Yeah, I think.
But I really, like, Luca, I don't, the pressure is not there yet.
to LeBron leaves.
Okay.
I don't think he's facing that pressure until LeBron steps away.
There's a shadow there.
I'm going to just...
But keep in real, we talk about the East, the difference between making the finals
and winning the finals.
If you're looking at this Oklahoma City Thunder Squad right now,
and you're any of these superstar guys around the league that want to win a chip,
what's the best path to accomplish that?
Would not go to the West, I can tell you that.
But to stay away for the West.
It seems like Oklahoma City is, though.
There's too many superstars in the West too.
Like you're gonna be, yeah, your best chance
is staying in the East.
Oklahoma ain't all superstars.
They got like, you gotta get the right road players too,
I feel like, like for Bucks to be the Bucks,
I feel like they gotta get the right role players.
They've been shooting for the stars,
getting superstars and things ain't working.
They gonna mess around and do another dumb trade
for yon is going to get mad again we're going to be talking about this all over again do you think
is the feeling of trying to get back to the finals when teams win like they want that feeling back
so they make desperate moves or risky moves it'd be like to keep that we got better to keep the
fan base and be like we got better when we made them right we didn't have to right you like
you think yeah some teams do that like to where it's like we could just stay we're walking
Walking.
Yeah.
Getting rid of Drew and all that, that shit hurt.
Yeah.
Well, we could have just stayed right where we were at, right?
And just kept, just.
Yeah, like that, like you really think about basketball.
They, Janice and Drew, I mean, Yonis and Drew, that group, or the healthy Chris Middleton,
they played well together because they all, they did something different, right?
Yeah, if you wanted to upgrade anything, it's the five position.
Or if you want to change anything, because you can go out and get you another seven-footed that play from free-thold.
footed that play from free throw line to free throw line.
Yeah.
So that's Brooke Lopez. That's all he was, what?
Three point lines. Three point line.
Just it's for me, it's hoop.
Like when I want to talk hoop, I want to talk the totality of how year to year, right,
if teams are competing, there's going to be that one team that we see that's going
to be above shoulders, head and shoulders of everybody else for this season, particularly.
Every season after that is still back to who.
Everybody got an equal chance.
No matter how well you're playing in the beginning,
how well you're playing at the end,
it's still basketball.
It's still, we have a chance to go out there and beat these guys,
whether it's a seven games sweep or first round exit,
whatever it is, these teams can play bad.
Guys can come in and shoot bad.
We can go in there and play good defense.
I'm thinking this year is not an Oklahoma City
sweep. I think everyone's with the propaganda and the promotion of how well they're
planned. They didn't change their team. They didn't upgrade. You got the West. Houston's
playing well. New York's playing well. Certain teams are playing well. Certain teams aren't.
Then we look at what hoop is. It's ups and downs. Gamer runs. It's how you get your
chemistry going when you need to win six in a row, seven in a row.
We start talking about hoop later in the season, when these teams start playing better.
These teams are playing good, start playing a little bit worse.
They lose a couple games in a row.
Competition started to spike up.
I looked at basketball being basketball again, just like it was last year.
Last year basketball was basketball because OKC made a run.
They came in, they made motherfuckers play.
They challenged everybody.
But guess who else did?
The same shit they did.
the Indiana fucking Pacers
and that's not a likely
team that we're like oh they're going to make it to the
fucking finals not thinking that
and they still got there
I'm talking about right now
and their best player is not one of the top 15
best players in the league
you don't think highly top 15
16 right at 16
oh okay he's 16
that's 16
he's not a bad I'm just saying like
Indiana wasn't picked
above everybody else, but they play hard, they play smart, they play together.
If we get back to Hoop as an individual league, these teams all have a chance.
So when you say you don't think the Thunder obviously didn't improve the roster,
but we're able to keep their big three-quarter together.
Got a lot of young guys, especially now they're getting a ton of opportunities to play four
quarters.
If you put in this position, start the season 23-1, obviously tied their franchise record
with a 15-game winning streak, potential to set a new one.
They had the biggest free agency that you, the free agent you can possibly get, that's
experience.
Yeah.
a young team winning and winning it, it was tough.
Like the Denver series was tough.
The Indiana series was tough, but they found a way.
So I think those experience carried over to this season.
That's why they came out, motherfucking balls to the wall, right?
They learned how to win in tough and close games.
And if She's, like, just a matter, like,
She haven't played fourth quarters.
So winning, if they need him to start playing fourth quarters,
They closed or hasn't been after he hasn't been in a position to have to close games yet.
Boston Celtics, when they won the championship next season, we was expecting Jason Tatum to come out with something to prove.
Yeah, that was the thing.
He did.
Started hot.
Everybody's like, all right, now this is the guy we wanted to see in the finals, blah, blah, blah, zay, blah.
Same when Yolkish, them won.
They won it.
We wanted to see more Jamal Murray.
But they didn't get better, though.
100% but they still had the team chemistry the chemistry's there so the chemistry carries over like we're talking about right now their chemistry's carrying over we don't see anybody jumping out of us with their team but she's doing what she do just like yoker's going joker's going to do what he do anybody who wins the championship you're coming back with that same rivado you want something to prove whether it's jalen brown or tatum or yokers or murray or it's now jalen williams has to come in and he has to say now i've been out half time and these guys guys
guys been winning without me. I got something to prove now. But the rest of the league got
to actually take that as a slight. Like, we got to challenge them now. We can't just let
them walk through the whole shit. That's why I say it's like when you're a hooper, you take that
challenge. Well, I can hear you. I'm pretty sure the rest of the league, like, tonight
going to be our night. They're taking that challenge and they're going out of their smack,
you know, but we're not saying it's people just being tonight. But we know is OKC has been.
the weakest strength of schedule
up to date.
It's been proven.
So when you can show that,
you can show that we really haven't been
playing the tougher teams yet.
We got momentum based on our schedule.
Now, we're good.
The problem, too, though,
that's a lot of mid around the league.
It is.
That's why I said a lot of good teams
are playing bad.
A lot of good teams.
Cleveland, Orlando,
fucking Dallas,
fucking San Antonio
they're not playing the best basketball
They don't have their best players
Exactly what I'm saying
He's in Phoenix
Don't got Jalen Green
They still they're in the middle
It's a lot of guys
A lot of teams
They got a chance to get their ass whipped
In the seven games
But they still have contention
Where they can provide a challenge
To the team that look like it's easy
And that's just me talking about life
It ain't happened yet through 24 games
It ain't happened yet
We haven't been trying to challenge them every night
No
They just win
It's young teams
Just out there
Trying to prove themselves
Individually
These are not teams
Plans
Yeah man
These are not teams playing
We're not
I'm not feeling
You discredit the boys
They're 23 and one shot
That's cool
Like no
Them boys 23 and one
They have to put
And every team
They play
Every team
Is it the NBA team
Strength of schedule matters
Strength of schedule matters
Just like the college football
System
They plan an NBA
You don't get
Notre Dame
didn't get in
Because they ain't ever been in the conference
Then we got shit to do with the NBA.
All right.
They ain't never been in the conference.
So you guys ain't never been to God.
Nobody worth playing on the East.
That's their fault.
They ain't nobody fault.
They got to get, now they got to prove it.
Are they, is their schedule in the, the number three in the league,
beat the Lakers by 30?
Who did the Lakers have?
Who didn't and Lakers have that game?
So they didn't have Jalen Williams either.
So what are you saying?
Exactly.
So what are you saying?
So where they're out there, they didn't have their team,
come back around.
You got smack by 30.
Come back around.
No.
You got to play Houston again.
that you're going to smack them again.
We'll see.
They're going to smack them again.
We will see. We're not going to stay it on bias.
They're going to smack them again.
I'm talking who.
I'm not talking.
I'm not talking.
I'm not talking.
The hoop battery is.
Yes, it is.
So you want to talk.
But the fact is the future schedule is the worst in the league.
The fact is they're 23 and 1.
That's a stat.
That's a stat.
And the stat is that is 23 and 1.
Josiah.
There's a stat.
The weekends.
The.
Strength the schedule in the league.
That's our time.
Yes.
23 and 1.
Yeah, that's for them game.
I think, but I think the difference.
He's going to get this.
The difference with these other teams
that won a championship, right?
You saw Selju went to try to run it back with their...
So was you saying that last year when Cleveland won't
winning all them games in a row?
They weren't playing nobody?
What?
What?
What?
Water?
What?
Was I what?
Was I what?
Was you saying that with Cleveland won in all the games in a row?
They didn't play nobody?
Because they were playing guys.
What do you mean?
They were.
They were.
playing guys. They didn't have the worst stricters
schedule. That's the difference.
They're hooping, right? They hooping, right? They hooping.
They were playing teams that were
good. 23 and 1.
Not playing the worst teams in the NBA.
23 and 1.
Send them to the team league.
Y'all know this.
23 and 1.
How are you acting like?
If we're in college basketball, we start our
first 10 games.
Non-conference teams that don't have a name.
We start our whole season on Penn and O.
We're talking about NBA.
Number one, we ain't played nobody yet.
I used to see Pittsburgh do that all the time back.
Come on, bro.
We know this is a thing.
Talking about the NBA here.
The thing.
The thing.
The worst teams in the NBA.
The worst teams in the NBA.
You have played all the worst teams.
College basketball into this conversation.
I'm going to bring all the metrics I need.
To understand.
There's no understanding.
Obviously, that's the NBA.
It's an NBA show.
They did, but 23 and I think the difference in this Thunder team
and some of these other squads.
Celtics tried to run it back,
but obviously came to those financial.
issues had to break up the team. The Thunder
have so many assets that even if they
do thumble to a roadblock
they can make a bunch of fuck you trades
year to year just to keep
this championship window open. Not to say they
have to, but looking at them
now, 23 and 1. The fact
that you won a championship and you came back the next
year starting off like this says a lot.
They have capital to play with it. They said a lot with the
Warriors too. It did.
The fuck are we talking about it. It came back and won.
They came back and won. They didn't come back and win
shit. They went to everything. They did. They did. They
And then they came back and won the next year.
And then they came back and won the next year again.
What are we talking about?
Are you on that thing?
When they came back, they lost, right?
73 and they came back and won.
Then they came back and won again, right?
All right, let's talk.
They didn't have Steph Curry, they didn't have Faye Thompson.
They didn't have all those guys.
Oklahoma City has got Shade Gilders Alexander and all of them do is 23 and one.
So all those shit y'all talking about, I don't get a fuck about.
They're 23 and 1.
I guess the same 30 teams every year that's in the fucking NBA.
Let's talk who?
The same 30 teams.
The other 29.
Say no college shit.
Say no randoms.
That's cool.
23 and 1.
I said what I see.
Soon to be 24 and 1.
Like Kelly Robinson said.
I gave my take.
Hey, like Kelly Robinson said, 48 is no, soon to be 49 and oh.
I gave my day.
But let the chat tell it.
It's obvious.
Oh, yeah, yeah, we can do that.
We can do all right.
Because we know who talk, who not.
Yeah, we talk.
Or that.
Because y'all are just 23 and 1.
Y'all can just say shit.
Y'all ain't proving nothing.
You're not talking.
You ain't.
Okay, okay.
Yeah!
Because what does the fucking president?
What does the schedule?
They have the worst.
They have the what?
They have the what?
They have the what?
23 and one.
And what?
Okay.
And with that state, that don't mean nothing.
They are 23.
Okay.
We talked about it.
That's all right.
That's a point.
That's a point.
That's the point.
They don't got no saying.
They're not giving me nothing but just talking.
Guess what the same point is.
Niggas.
Twenty three and one.
Come on, my niggas.
Two three and one.
You don't get me.
Go to the chat.
Stop going to college.
You know the chat.
You know the chat.
You know the chat.
You all know the chat.
And find anything.
You know the chat's fuck with me.
Because they like real shit.
23 and 1.
They like real shit.
They like the facts.
The facts is 23 and 1.
But they are they like the fact.
They like what they see.
They like what they see.
Is that a fact, Josiah?
And they like what they see.
They have just played several, several fourth quarter.
11 fourth quarters that he has not played in?
They like what they see, man.
See what they're still averaging.
But now back to Yannis.
So back to Yannis said he wants to win the championship.
I'm saying if you're looking at this Thunder Squad
and thinking about all these teams that you want to trade with,
do those teams put you in actual position to compete with this Thunder Squad as constructed?
Obviously, industries, a lot of stuff can happen throughout the rest of it.
You'll be all right.
No.
Oh, New York?
It just hope you can get over.
If you can go to that's going to put them over the hump with Yonah, so.
So when you look at this situation, Mr. B, what's the chance of the bucks
don't trade Yonis before the deadline?
If they're going to do anything, you trade them at the end of the year so you have more leverage in the end of the season.
You won't get, you won't have much leverage during the middle of the season.
So if you're going to do anything, you do it at the end of the season.
Do it in the summer?
Yeah.
Summer, summer time.
So you think y'all will be on the Bucks by the February 5th trade deadline, 2026?
If I'm the Bucks, fuck, yeah.
You're not going nowhere.
You or your brother.
I want to get, if I'm the Bucks, I want to get rid of you.
quick fast and in a hurry okay so you think they did they try to make that move
they have to make the move that is just be stupid on their part because they'll
be able to get more for them at the end of the year so so we asked the chat
who has more pressure to win a chip Luca with the Lakers or Yannis if he did end
up going to the Knicks 54% say Luca it is the Lakers he is Slovenian Jesus but

be honest some good ones going on all right well we had some NBA cup action last night let's get
into it's the NBA cup quarterfinals tipped off tuesday night with an eastern conference double
header rafters were undefeated in NBA cup group play to take the top spot in the east
During a stretch in which they went 13 and 1, Toronto's cooled off since then, though, going 1 and 5 in their last six games, entering the matchup with former Nick R.J. Barrett's sideline since November 23rd with a knee sprain.
Meanwhile, the Knicks and their high-powered offense were in the quarterfinals for the third straight season, looking to advance to Sin City for the first time.
So New York proved to be too much for Toronto on this one when Jalen Brunson putting the team on his back.
Let's take a look at the highlights if we can, please.
So Brunson and Brunson.
Brandon Ingram both came out firing to start the game with the Knicks captain putting
up 20 in the first quarter while Ingram had 17 of his team high 31 in the first frame
as well. Raptors were up four after the first quarter but then things fell apart. Toronto missed
13 of their first 15 shot attempts finished 5 for 21 in the second quarter getting outscored 34
to 13 as the Knicks took a 17 point lead into the break, never looked back leading this game by as
much as 24 points. So Brunton had a season high 26 points in the first half finished with 35
connected on six of his nine three-point attempts.
Josh Hart added a season-high 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting,
including four of seven from deep.
The Big Bodega had 14 points and 16 rebounds.
McKell Bridges added 15 in OG.
And we had 13, six boards and two blocks,
along with two steals against his former team.
That's nice.
The Knicks got a much-needed road win
to improve the four and six away from the crib.
They have struggled, I think, 13 to 1 at home so far this season.
They were three and six on the road entering this game and proved to four and six.
Thanks a lot to plays like that.
You see Jaylen Brunson.
I heard doing the thing.
They look like playoffs.
Nick.
It looks like going back.
It looked like losing in the finals next.
Man, that team is nice.
This is a very nice squad.
Like I said, Nick.
Punch their ticket to Vegas for the final four.
So looking at this game, what's the biggest take?
away from the Knicks' quarterfinal win over the Raptors in the NBA Cup.
Shaw, what do you think about this Knicks squad?
You feel what my squad do, finally getting their chemistry together.
Cat figured out where he's fit in.
I think it would be a bad decision on their part to try to get rid of any of the pieces right now
because they're starting to get their lather going.
They're starting to get a little bit of momentum, figuring out who need to be where,
who taking what shots.
They're playing a good defense.
I like Mitchell Robinson getting his shit together.
He's getting his momentum going.
I think Jordan Clarkson starting his spot on the team.
They look good.
They look energized.
I think Mike finally got what he needed to get over to them
as far as messaging of what they want to do.
I think that's good on his part because it's early.
Usually that happens in the first year later in the season.
But they look good.
They look solid.
I think if they sustain it.
Michael Bridges looks great
Josh Hart
Get him to rebound a little bit more
Like he was doing before
I think it can be another breakout season for the Knicks
I think there were two and three to start this season
15 and 4 since then
So I've seemed to figure it out
I want to say their offense was fifth highest in the league last season
I think they're third now so Mike Brown is
What he's been known to do
It ain't 23 and 1
But you know what I'm saying
You know what I'm saying
I'm just talking who it ain't 23 and 1
You know what I'm saying
The Pistons ain't 23 and 1
It's certain, you know what I'm saying, but momentum is momentum.
You know what I'm saying?
You're talking when you can hoop, you know what I'm saying?
All them players.
Go out there and you compete, you know what I'm saying?
They play the teams that's on the schedule.
They look good, you know what I'm saying?
Playing the team just on the fifth.
I think about, I'm playing Toronto, man.
I believe fifth right now, but they've been struggling as,
fifth in the east right now, but they've been struggling as a little late.
Playing NBA teams?
Uh, can you, I think, I believe all the teams in the NBA, other than
preseason.
Oh, they play the team that's right?
They play the team that the team that the NBA made on the schedule?
So they can't control that, right?
I don't think the teams are allowed to pick things.
Oh, but they have to play the games, though, right?
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
Like, they can't pick it at you like, listen, this team's struggling.
They don't want to play this team like they struggle.
They didn't.
They didn't.
Not to my knowledge.
Okay, all right, cool.
They just playing the team.
Kind of.
But I'm merely a hoax.
What's they record?
What is they record?
The Raptors?
No, no, no.
The Knicks 17 to 7.
So they got 7.
What are the next to 2 and 3, 15, and 4 since, man, 17 to 7?
Uh-huh.
What about them?
Are they going to get to the point?
to the finals? I think they can't out of east, but they're going to have to find another
true score and somebody get the ball out of Brunson's hand because we saw last year what
happens when they just put a bigger guard on them. They got a different. I do like, I do
like Bridges and I do like OG. I mean, they average around 14, 15 a night, so that's fine
right there, but they're going to do something with Kat. I don't think it's the office and
the defense of what Mike Brown's about. I get it, but we're talking about when, let's talk
who. Now we talk about when we get to the playoffs, right? And we put that bigger guard on
Brunton and you know how he'd get when you know bigger guard you ain't got no other true
ball handling or no two score so that's what the Knicks gonna have to go do they got to give
them the ball they'll get there but you know let's talk who we saw what happened last year
they got a feature town I could have swore when we was talking who we were saying that
brunson is not even the number one option for a team like the nix we've hadn't had a conversation
before and that's that's been the discourse that brunson can't lead them to a championship
until finals people have said this right in years past
A different brunt in this year, though, getting to it early.
I think second in the league, a first quarter scoring.
Changing it up.
And they need bigger guards off against two.
He's going first instead of fourth now.
Getting them off to a good start.
I can't just tell you what's going on?
Merely hosting.
So he's going first and fourth instead of the whole game.
Just, I think, focusing on that emphasis of putting up points quick.
I think if he is doing it that way, then, yeah, it's cool.
It's still been the closer that he has been.
Be a more of a team player.
Come on, man, you know down the stretch king.
They need another truck, for it.
Towns when you have 14.
Let's talk hoop.
Your Towns is...
You average 22 and 12.
We know how that get.
He's averaging what?
Big 22 and 12.
He's averaging 22 and 12 of the center for the New York Knicks.
As your second option.
You playing the 5?
The second option should be averaging 25.
Really?
Really?
Man, that don't sound like hoot to me.
That don't sound like hoot to me.
You're 22 and 12 for a center in the New York Knicks.
For him?
That plays on the...
Sounds like hoop to me.
No.
He's getting to it.
And let's say he's playing bad.
There's 22 and 12.
He's not playing great.
I thought we was talking.
It's cool.
I thought we was talking who.
How much is Brunson average?
How about 20?
28?
He's been complaining.
Brunson's averaging 28?
Yeah.
It's not going to win your final.
Damn, that's not enough.
Not to win a final.
Not enough.
You get there all you want.
They got there all you want.
They have not got there since 1999.
Cool.
But I think they have experience on their side as well.
Like, most of the last few years, how it has went down.
They get back to that point with a different voice in the locker room.
What boy?
Mike.
With Mike Brown, that different voice.
And I think guys would be fresher now.
He's not wearing guys out in that regard, playing guys should 42 a night in the regular season.
Team shit.
Spread the minutes out.
And relying on other guys.
So I think the Knicks have a chance to come out of the east I do.
because it's wide open for them
to get back to the finals this year.
Facts.
So I think they have, yeah,
I think 22 and 12 as a second option is good enough
when your lead guys average in 28.
To win it all.
Yeah, I think 22 and 12 consistently.
No, to win it.
Yeah, to win it?
I think he's not getting,
I'm not saying they're going on.
He's not even averaging that.
I'm not picking them if they were to match up.
I'm not picking it right today.
I'm not picking them up Oklahoma City today.
All we going to do is for the bigger.
on Brunson.
But that would be a good match.
All we're going to do is put a bigger on Brunson.
Like OG and...
They will...
I hear...
And the thing...
The thing they do have bodies to throw at him.
OKC is going to...
He's going to throw a lot of bodies.
OKC is going to beat them in fine.
We have two combos.
We have a two combos.
Let's merge them into one.
No, they have a...
Yes.
Thank you, Josiah.
I feel like...
They have a chance.
This is good for New York confidence
if they make it to the end-season tournament.
That's all it's about.
They confidence is just in.
Get over the hunt.
Like this type of stuff they need.
Like, they never really experienced winning.
They ain't made it to no final.
They plan for a million dollars.
That's what they plan for.
They ain't playing for the real ground.
You know what you can do with that?
Yeah, that's fine.
Exactly.
And that's what they're going to get.
If they keep it up like this right now,
if they don't get cat the fuck up out of there,
you know what's going to happen.
They need to get cat.
They need a true score, dog.
All I got to do is go put Davey
or put somebody on Bruntz in during the finals
and you know what time it is.
Wow.
That's all Indiana did too.
We're going to just keep throwing
somebody at you all day.
Ain't nothing changing?
It's the same shit.
Stop playing.
They got a heart.
That's fine.
You can have all that.
Them other dudes over there.
OK, see, it's not clucking around.
Let's be honest.
Wow.
Okay, C.
Bro, they got more.
That's a young team that won a championship
came out the next year like this.
Like, what are we talking about?
They're not playing around out there.
They're going to see.
They're going to play each other.
Thankfully, well, we will see.
Swaggers.
Better go get that boy.
Go get that boy
What happened to that
Yeah
Okay
You better go get that boy
I guess now we see what that's about
We see what that boy
We see what that rants about
It ain't even hoop tall
It's just one his boy to be over there
We want his boy to be over there with us
We're good
New York is good
Listen
New York is good
We don't got to get nothing
New York better do that
We're good
I ain't listen nothing over there
I'm talking about what New York got to do
You see I got the
Rockefeller, I got the real name on me.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm talking real New York who are we talking about.
Go ask about me in New York and Rucker.
Everybody.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's fair.
That's not fair.
That's not fair.
That is fair.
You know, look fair.
Y'all, looking at that.
He was in Brooklyn.
It wasn't in New York, okay?
He was in Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Nets, okay?
Well, Katz start the season.
He was kind of struggling to find him with the offense.
Got courtside with Brooklyn.
But y'all tell them.
22 and 12 is a number two option.
Okay.
I'm saying 22 and 12 is a number two option.
Adam Silver's modern NBA?
I said it's good enough.
It is good.
I don't think it's enough to win the finals.
That's all.
I'm not saying they're not going to get there.
It's just not enough to win it.
So in order to average 22, you've got to have some game, you know,
you got to have a couple 30s.
There's a big state average, ain't.
It's not never average 20, though.
He can give you 18 boards.
Yeah, he could get you for sure.
Over there, up in the, you got that bitch going.
Here, let's average 20, like.
Yeah.
Only two teams in the league that have
225 point per game scores so far.
I believe that is the Lakers with Luke
and Austin Reams and then the Nuggets with Joker
and Jamal Murray.
So they're the third team.
Oh, no, they've got Brunson at 28
and then 225.
225 per game.
Hmm.
Sounds good to me.
Michelle, you feel like Jailen Brunson
can take this supporting cast
and get them out of these?
They're not even playing their best basketball right now.
That's the difference when you're talking who?
Look at while everybody's playing.
The only team playing really good basketball is OKC right now.
And Houston.
Houston's playing really good basketball.
Those two teams are playing very good basketball right now.
Everybody else is trying to find their way.
And once everybody starts hitting their stride,
you're going to start seeing basketball play a different way.
Everybody's going to be competing differently.
That's all I've been meaning to say the whole time.
Pistons have also been playing very fair.
Lakers been playing good, too.
They hit their stride, and other teams go beat more.
motherfucker.
Okay.
Oh.
Is it something about the time?
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
I was about to say is it time for B.I. to become like a star.
Take over a team, yeah.
Because Toronto.
Do it feel like the Rosen timed over there?
Did it feel reminiscent of how the Rosen was over there?
Boston, Boston, 8 and 2, the last 10.
We will talk.
What about the number one option that's all been,
I can't wait to get to that one.
Let's take on New York and Toronto right now.
I can't wait to get to that one option.
We will be speaking about Jaylen Brown momentarily.
Damn, what's up, man.
No, I'm just saying.
You know, y'all was clown to me about that Jalen Brown shit.
And it's starting to look like he really is the number, the number one option.
Yeah, he is not that the man.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no, no, no, we can get him up out of here.
We can get him out of it.
Why is trying to keep people out?
You mean, I'm just saying, bro, I'm just saying, y'all was clowning Jalen Brown,
and it looked like everything I was saying.
The only thing people clown Jalen Brown about is that, that, that Beijing.
That's right, he leaving his mark.
He's leaving his mark.
Keep leaving his mark at all times.
He keep leaving his mark.
I don't care if he can't go left or not.
I know one thing he's been given the last, the number one option.
The number one option is that's from Orlando to Cleveland to Detroit.
So the match your question.
So he averaging now with the other dude average with both of them there, right?
Who?
Who?
You said, oh, yeah, he averaging 30.
Your feet don't fit, no.
Yeah, he averaging 30.
Yeah, he average in 30 right now.
Who?
Uh-huh, who, no.
He's averaging 30 right now.
Jayla Brown, without a left hand.
So, but.
So without, without.
Without Jason Tatum and out Audum on the guard.
How many of the average when he was there, though?
Jason Tatum average 30 with Jalen Brown.
But he averaged in 30 without him.
He should be averaging like 37, 38 if he's supposed to be.
37.
Right?
They're in third right now.
No, we're talking about him.
No, he shouldn't.
No, he shouldn't be doing what he's doing right now.
Why not?
He shouldn't be doing what he's doing right now.
So it's going to put out, it should be 35, 36?
This is still his career numbers right now.
We've got to be honest.
This is still his career numbers.
Derek White's supposed to be doing more.
But he's not.
So that says a lot about.
So Jalen Brown is expecting somebody to pick up slack.
But they're not, though, but they're not, though, right?
Exactly.
So he can't be too selfish and him still wins.
If he's the man, though, right?
He's running the way, it's winning basketball, him average.
I get what you saying.
If the man is out.
But he's playing winning basketball average in 30.
By himself.
If he was averaging 37, it wouldn't be winning basketball.
No, it wouldn't be.
He wouldn't be.
He wouldn't be.
He wouldn't be.
He wouldn't be.
He wouldn't be doing his job.
Well, he's not doing his job.
So now I got to go out here and go get 30.
I just gave the Lakers 38 Nate
He's supposed to get 30 though
I just gave
I just gave
Hey hey yo
Are you boy over there in Cleveland
Yeah triple double
He got that
Your boy up in um
Shook just not responding to that
Shug is shaking his head
28 to 30 dollars
I'm just saying the last couple
I'm just saying the last five games
I'm just saying that's the number one option
We're going to talk
Jaylon and just a moment
We are currently talking
The New York Knicks
The NBA Cup
The thrilling exhilarating NBA Cup
I'm listening yeah
We talked about
Bring excitement back to the
You talking about Brandonino
You're talking about Brian Niro
Yeah, it ain't a real start.
That's somebody fucking, he should have went to the Milwaukee or something.
I mean, he looked way better than Scotty than me when he out there.
That's what I'm saying.
I think they forced Scotty to look a certain way.
Got to do more.
B.I.
score.
We know that.
No, and I agree.
Scottie do do more, but B.I, like he's saying, is he being the, he looks like the star guy.
Yeah.
Okay, I dig it.
But what if you add, Yonis, that's like a team like that.
Yeah.
With, like, B.I. and Barnes.
Like, he need players like that to me.
No, he needs shot makers.
Bia is not a shopmaker?
No, he needs to catch and shoot guys.
Bihai is a rhythm score.
Yeah, I know.
Bia is a bucket.
He's a bucket, but he got to massage that thing.
Biai got to get to his.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He got to see it like the two or three of those to win.
He needs.
Look how much the team is.
No, defensively.
No, for sure.
Yeah, like somebody like that?
For sure, man, you're not getting.
What's up?
You're trying to pay him taxes.
Yeah, that's the only thing.
Sufficient Raptors discourse.
for the Walkie to trade.
Back to this Knicks squad, so we know Jalen Brunson.
Man, fuck the Knicks, God damn.
This is trapped.
We acting like they're the Lakers.
Come, let's stop.
Move on.
We're talking about OG pushing this shit, and come on.
Fuck, go to Jaylon Brown.
I want to hear more of this shit.
We're building a detention, like as we like to call up.
We talked about Brunson, okay, fucking town.
This would be quick.
But we did talk about Brunson and Towns, that's my point.
So the Knicks have their,
They're big, too solidified.
But obviously, when you look at this team, Brunson leads away 28 points per game,
seeking his third straight, all-in-being, all-star periods.
Kat, 22, and 12.
Yeah, leading the league and rebounding.
Third member up for debate.
Nix are 8-1 since Josh Hart entered the starting lineup.
He had a season-high 21 points last night.
OG starting to find himself since returning from hamstring injury,
putting up 16 to 5.
Then you got Iron Man McHale Bridges doing it on both ends,
top five and steals, 16.4 points per game.
So when you look at this Knicks,
consider the third member of the next quote unquote big three.
You don't need a big three.
It's interchangeable.
I like that.
I'm about to go there.
As long as the other three guys do their job, night in, night out, consistently.
And they're doing that and you got a couple guys off the bench doing their job.
You don't need a third score to be out there clogging shit up.
Ball stopping.
Forcing it.
Right? Yeah, you don't need another ball stopper.
You need somebody that's going to do his job, be able to get you 15, 16 points a night,
consistently. You got the other guy that's going to get your 14, 15 consistently.
Do off the bench, you're going to give you 16, 17 off the bench consistently.
That's what you need.
I like that because when you look at that, they go back to the old school way.
When you had the two main guys and then you had your corner niggas that was out there.
We didn't know who was going to get the corner today, but I got the block.
I got it. I got to take care.
So you got what?
They came my way today.
You got Clarkson.
They came my way today.
O.G. came my way today.
Got McHale.
Hey, it comes.
But then you got Josh Hart.
You got four motherfuckers that might come their way.
Two of them might go off.
And we might blow a team out if all three of us get going.
But we just need consistency from our main two guys.
Make sure y'all do what y'all are supposed to do.
We got y'all back.
I don't think they could have a third score because they style of play.
They hold the ball too much.
They, like, OK, see, everybody shoot the goddamn ball.
But New York, you're bringing it up.
Bronson picking rolls.
It's just a cart.
Very subtle.
Yeah, it's so stagnant.
They can't have a third.
Somebody else averaging them.
Like, who's the third score for OKC to talk?
Don't matter.
Chad.
They can't have there.
They got Chuck Williams and Shay.
In New York, you can only have two.
The ball stopped too much over there.
All the other points will come off of a corner three's and putbacks.
Yeah, rebounds and put back.
Everybody's interchangeable, so they don't need a third option.
Yeah, the other guy, they all just work hard.
Lighter workload this season, too.
We talked about Tibbs last year.
This season, I want to say, Knicks had five players in the top 20 minutes per game.
Yeah.
This season only two.
The starting five was in the top 20.
All five in the top 20 minutes played.
This season, only two of that starting five.
But that's where the confidence comes in.
But do that style win basketball, though?
where you got to let it sustain itself to find out.
We can't never find out because they're trying to change up to this.
Or we need a third score.
We need this.
To me, that's the bravado that fucks up the team having putting pressure on that one guy
who could be the third option.
Hey, man, you need to do more.
But then you got four guys looking at each other like,
coach is giving us more minutes.
Before we was all logged in trying to figure out who was going to play.
He's sharing the sugar.
He's like, look, I'm giving y'all all confidence to prove yourself.
Prove that you deserve these men.
You're giving them crumbs, that's what you do.
For Mike Brown?
Crums.
You're giving them other four crumbs.
Mike Brown?
You give him a heart, the bridges.
So when we're on the corner, do we make good of the crumbs that we get?
Well, of course.
All right, so that's what you do.
Are they?
You get you take the brick and you make that you flip that bitch.
Hey, if you don't flip it, customers ain't coming around today.
You got to figure it out.
That's not sustainable, brother.
It is.
Fighting for the crumbs, bro?
Yes, bro.
You could listen.
That calls like rips in the locker room.
No, I ain't passing to that.
You know what we always going to have?
Crumbs.
There's always going to be some crumbs here.
But see, what happens is state property.
On the corner, on the corner, it's levels.
What hand you roll up with it?
I ain't eating.
I ain't eating.
So what you can't have is what happened.
I mean, that's the people who are doing life.
They ain't eaten.
They start complaining.
Right.
What you can't have with the corner of the shit
happened to doubt it today
when the nigg didn't swing the ball to deal up in the corner.
Thank you.
Like, that's when shit get treated.
But long as that, you swing, swing it.
And you're playing good basketball.
Listen, you swing, swing it.
I'm going to do the same for you.
I have to, yeah.
If you don't swing, if you swing and you shoot or fake it, I'm going to do the same thing
the next trip.
If you're in the corner, I'm, oh, shit, he did, oh.
He hit me with that shit.
Oh, shit.
That's all I'm saying.
The fake pass.
Yeah.
But if they don't do that, they don't do that what you're going to do?
New York don't be on that.
But what's his name, Bridges?
My not Bridges, my not Bridges, the young one, the youngest of them.
McBride.
He's got to get his shit off.
He's got paid like Clarkson and fucking Bridges.
But guess what his role is, though?
His role is Davian Mitchell.
He in there to hoop.
He in there to defend to turn the volume up.
Now, if he gets going, we love.
I love it because McBride can get going.
Mitchell?
He kind of like how Gabe Vincent was in Miami,
how Kendrick Nunn was in Miami.
He wasn't expecting you to do the shit,
but when you do get it going, hell yeah, good job.
But if you all, niggas, sit your ass down.
But you do need that consistency
as him coming off the bench knowing that's his role
to shoot the ball and score and be like the six,
the main six men.
But look, we got him in Clarkson.
So who's more experienced?
It is, but they've been bringing in Brian Moore, though.
Because he plays defense, right?
Clarkson is just Lou Will.
He's trying to shoot that bitch.
But that's if we need it.
I think that's what Mike Brown is realizing.
We need this right now, George, go in.
For sure.
We need this right now.
Hey, Deuce, go in here and get him.
Be a pest.
I like that kind of camaraderie that he's bringing to the team.
Because before Tibado was just telling my fucking, just go just, I'm going to work you.
I'm going to work you.
Quint Dickey
So looking at these
Nick's squad, Nixon won eight of their last
nine games, a point differential, plus
137, second in the east
as they head to Vegas for the NBA Cup
semifinals.
Is this Knicks roster or enough
or should they look to add a piece
to finally bring a ring back to the guard?
Not make the finals, but if they want to bring a ring
back.
Like I said in the beginning,
when we talk
who and we talk about the chemistry
and the longevity of every team,
team catching their stride, the Knicks, what they did last year, how they put that
shit together, even though they, did O.G. get hurt in the end? What was our
discrepancy? I think that was it. O.G. went down.
So you look at how that all happened and we had a coach that didn't understand playing
the full roster. Those things changed. We beat Indiana. We beat Indiana. But it's coach.
Coach and two in the playoffs.
Trey Cat.
We beat Indiana.
And if we beat Indiana, do you think that there will be a better series between OKC?
I don't think y'all beat Boston if they had a different coach.
I don't think you beat Boston if you had a different coach.
Better series than a seven game series shot?
Yeah.
They would have swept the Knicks.
They would have swept the Knicks.
Because who got hurt in that series?
OG got hurt.
They would have swept the Knicks, y'all.
The Hollberg got.
Cat would have went to a...
Come on, man.
But, remember y'all.
down there 20 points every game in Boston.
If you had a different coach that tell you not to shoot this.
No, that wasn't the reason why.
Them niggas was gassed out.
They shot threes over and over.
They was gassed out.
You don't remember McHale Bridges before the series was like,
bro, can we get some rest?
No, I'm talking about Boston and New York.
Me too.
I'm talking about, yes.
That series, they were tired.
They were tired, and they still got over the hump.
So this year,
it's going to go down the coaching and sometimes.
It is.
It is.
But what does Mike do what you said?
What does Mike do different?
He connects with the players
and try to figure out what they feel
and how your body, all that shit.
So if he can give you that,
going into the playoffs,
it's a whole different game plan, bro.
It's all coaching styles
when it come down to that shit.
Yeah.
Mr. B, you think this next roster
is enough or should they try to bring?
To get to the finals.
Yeah, they have enough to get to the finals.
They didn't know.
So follow to that.
Who's the most expendable core piece
if the Knicks didn't want to try to add another story?
You know who it is.
We just talked about it.
I mean, that's what you need, you know?
Sounds is the most...
All that shit sounds good.
All that shit, that's...
That's...
That's...
That's sound good.
That sounds like some college level type shit.
But what we're talking about right here, you got to...
You always want to trade me.
You need somebody.
I'm always going to train me.
We ain't.
We ain't...
I'm trading me.
Leave me.
Like, yeah, go on.
Yeah.
Leave me out of it.
That's cute.
Y'all ain't keep training him, bro.
Leave me alone.
Leave me alone.
Keep throwing me into this seat, man.
I ain't do nothing to none of y'all.
For real, though.
Productive day here.
Of course.
It's arena, no, Gil.
Gil's Arena, because I'm out of Woo-Woo.
Hopefully, Gil's watching.
Wherever he is.
Gil.
I'm going to be
pounds all day to day.
We would.
No, no, no.
What you mean?
We have a lot of beef in the streets
right now.
We don't need to
add any more.
It's very hard out here.
Let's keep this thing moving.
Watch your bag.
You got my bag.

Appreciate you as always see a geek
for holding this down. So you guys
wanted to talk Jalen Brown.
We had a little teaser, but now let's really
get into it. We had an appetite. Let's get into the main
course. Jaylon Brown had been holding down
the fort for the Celtics with Jason Tatum's sideline
while recovering from his Achilles' injury.
Brown has put up 30 or more
in six of his last seven games, including
two 40 pieces, and is averaging 33.7
rebound, seven assists in that span,
shooting 49% from the field,
percent from deep. So his 13, 30-point games this season are the most, or more than he had
all of last season, including the playoffs, had 10 total last season, including playoffs. 13 so far
to start this season. Boston has won five straight games, 10 of their last 12, while beating
four of the top six teams in the east, and the second best team in the West in the Lakers,
who did not have Luke or LeBron, but did not matter. And for the season, Brown's averaging career
highs with 29.1 points, 4.9 assists, along with 6.2 rebounds, missing just one of the
Celtics 24 games so far.
Boston, currently 15 and 9, holding down the third spot in the east.
Mr. B, we'll start with you.
No, you received a lot of flack in years past.
Yeah.
For your opinions about Jalen Brown, how impressive has Jaylen Brown been as the Celtics
number one option this season?
I mean, it's been very impressive.
The fact that they started off, they started off looking like it was going to be really
bad for them.
But, you know, I think when everybody was climbing,
his hairstyle and then you know he just locked in and then started going crazy
but he has a lot experience man I mean you know a lot of people wanted to say
he wasn't he didn't deserve the finals MVP and everything because of Jason
Tatum but obviously Jason Tatum is down and his team is not really that good and
he's having actually a career here so that says a lot about him for a guy that
they say can't go left but he plays both sides of the floor so I mean I'm just
trying to figure out you know where was I wrong
when I was talking that shit about him.
Well, what, being the number one?
Being the number one option in that, that got,
that the other guy that you like, Jason Tatum,
that he can move around.
Because that's what it's looking like.
What?
Like, you know.
I'm just saying, when you get a chance,
no, hold on, what we always say on here,
when you get a chance to be the number one option
and you see that thing go in,
and from the looks of it,
hold on, let me go on my phone because,
I mean, the shit that he was doing
against these top five teams,
I mean, he got, he saw Apollo, you know, 30-something.
He saw Kay, 40-some.
He saw your boy, Anthony Edwards, 40-something.
Then he went to go down there in Cleveland and triple-double on all number one options.
That they said that this guy was never, could be a number one option.
And then he, for five straight games, then went to L.A., 30 and 8-N-8.
So I'm just trying to figure out where the fuck was I wrong when I was talking about Jalen Brown.
So I have a question.
Oh, yeah.
I have a question.
if the number one guy goes out where does the number he was never so a r he was never he was never he was never the number one guy is what i'm trying to say
no no no what i'm trying to say is the number one guy that y'all was hyping was never the number one guy this is what i'm trying to tell y'all right how's how i don't know i'm not so if so let me ask you this brandon
the third and east so i'm asking your question right if a individual player right yes leads his team in every category that they're
is to be counted for, right?
Is he not the number one,
is he not the best of the number one option on their team?
No, because what were you doing on that other end?
Who were you guarding on that other end?
I didn't actually do that too.
No, but that's part of the game.
That's part of the game, that's part of the game, right?
That's part of the game.
That's part of the game.
So I'm cool, so I'm going to go,
what I do and also guard the best player.
So you didn't answer my question.
What?
You didn't answer my question.
Who cares about numbers?
We're talking about what you do.
In every category?
What category?
So is Nicole not the best player on this team?
Let me ask you a question.
Is Nicola not the best player on his team?
Okay, can you, let's do this?
Say, thank you.
Can you answer my question before you ask me one?
Can you answer my question first?
And then I would gladly answer yours.
Okay, brother, now it's back, baby.
I would gladly answer yours.
I'm just trying to, so obviously it wasn't enough.
In history, right, guys that's led their team in every category.
Was Kevin Garnett, when he was on the Minnesota Timber was, he was.
The number one option?
Knowledge is coming.
Well, see the number one option on that team.
Because he's the number one option on that team.
Because you let the team in every category, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right.
Nicola leads his team in them to them in every category.
Is he not the best play on that team?
Is he not the best play on that team?
But what do you always say?
They got to play both sides, right?
Right, right, right.
Are you a guy about both sides?
I am.
I am.
And I can recognize who's the best play on the team.
Okay.
So you're a guy by both sides.
So don't talk about the numbers.
Because, because, because if they hit, if you, if you know,
If they get, if y'all go to the finals and J-Kid is leading everything and scoring,
but you guard a sack and locking sack down, who's the best player on the team?
That didn't happen.
But if it does happen, because that's what happened within this situation.
He's leading everything, but I'm locking down the best player on this team.
So if you're locking down sack and y'all win, but Jason Kidd is doing,
and they give you finals MVP, they won't?
Locking him down.
Because you're locking down the best player?
You average 39.
Who are you locked down?
If you're like, and y'all win.
Eagle Dalla.
Who?
Who?
Who?
Who.
No, no.
He's talking about Luca.
He's talking about when they, when they beat that, and he locked them.
You let the team.
Back to my question.
Back to my question.
If they kid is leading the team and all that and you're doing this and second.
And they give you finals MVP because of what you did defensively and what your numbers are.
You're not saying nothing.
Not when the guy, listen, we're talking about a real situation.
That, that, all these situations.
You said number one?
Are you fighting for number one option?
So let's go back to my initial question.
No, he said because he's leading everything.
No, let's go back to my initial question then.
Okay.
If the number one guy goes down, and there is a second option on the team, where does the second option go?
Does he go to three?
To number one.
But I always felt like he was number one.
You guys said he was number one.
He wasn't number one.
Okay.
Well, to me, I mean, well, he has the hardwood to prove it.
No, no.
Where's the hardwood in your, where's the hardwood when you're doing your zoos?
Jason Tatum?
I don't see that trophy.
I don't see none of that shit.
Where is it at?
So when we're talking about when he went, when Jayla Brown is doing, oh no, when Jaylor Brown is doing his doom.
Where's your hard?
Where's their hard?
Where are doing this?
I'm just saying, when Jaylor Brown got it, they ain't back there.
They ain't.
Okay.
So who was the number one guy?
And guess what?
And guess what?
Who wasn't on any teams, first team, second, team, 13.
But watch this.
So Brandon.
Yes.
So Brown make one?
So that trophy that you just spoke of, that's a.
that Jalen Brown's established me, right?
Both of them.
The one that said at his establishment, MVP trophy, right?
The finals MVP trophy, right?
Yes.
Does he have that trophy without the other guy?
No, does Michael Jordan have all that?
No, that is what I asked.
Does anybody?
Does anybody?
That ain't what I asked you.
You was the number one guy.
There ain't what I asked to.
Answer my question.
No.
Does he have that MVP trophy at home without that other guy?
No.
Lead the team is scoring?
Rebound, assist, free throw attempts, free throw makes, fucking minutes played.
Dude, does he have that trophy at home without that guy doing all of those things?
No, no kid.
No, he doesn't.
No, he doesn't.
No, he doesn't.
No, he doesn't.
He does it.
He does it.
No, he does it.
Yeah, Jaylon, MVP of finals.
I'm just saying the boy doing his thing.
Yes, he is.
He's supposed to him.
He's opposed to him.
Because they said he, I wish Gil was here.
Because, God damn it, Gil said he couldn't go left and it doesn't look like he need a
Wait, what are you are?
Still can't go down.
What are you arguing?
The art is supposed to go up.
When your number one option is not there, when Luca's not player, AR fucking average 40.
So AR better than Luca?
What, my argument is that he was always, my argument, my argument was that he was always,
He's supposed to score.
My argument was that he was always the number one option because he played both sides of the floor.
Hey, Nick, that was a good.
Is he better than Luca?
Is he?
Is he?
He's better than Luca?
Man, stop.
I'm asking you're crazy.
Hey, hey.
People are watching.
Hey, people are watching.
What have AR been doing without a Zooka out there?
He don't have a hard way out there.
He don't have the hard one of the team to the final.
This is a valid conversation.
They are putting up 40 pieces.
He made him, you make it.
This is what he's saying.
He's saying, listen, you can say Tatum's better, but I can say Brown's better.
He can live, me living in now.
But why could you say Brown's better than Tatum?
I would never, I don't want to.
I said, why could you?
Why could you say it?
It's because he plays both sides.
But Tatum does too, though.
He's not, he's out there like Cooper.
Tatum doesn't guard the best player.
You know why?
Kobe does.
When it came down to it, Kobe guarded the best player.
Oh, so now we're comparing him to me.
I'm just saying, I'm just, I'm just saying, hey, it looked like it.
I mean, the boy started his own brand of it.
I mean, you know.
Mr. We were not in comparison.
We're just trying to use an example.
I'm just saying, man.
I'm just saying we got we got a defender we got a guy right here
that play both sides of the floor
Jason Taylor does everything he's been nine six ten
conversation come on man yeah so y'all going to get okay so now we're going
against a guy that played both sides I don't hear shit off then about the both sides
the never is never been Jason Taylor don't play defense I never heard that he plays
both sides I never heard Jason Tatum doesn't play defense and I've never heard Jason
Tatum be like yo I got that motherfucker the night mm I ain't never heard bro
shit shit shit
I got him tonight.
I got, I got Luca in the final scene.
Hey, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, I got him.
No, no, Nick, Nick, Nick, the conversation.
This was the conversation.
I got him.
Jalen Brown said at the beginning of the year, last year, when before, no, before they won the championship,
that his whole thing was, I want to be all defense.
I'm going to guard the best player every single game.
I want to prove myself as a defender.
That don't make you number one.
It doesn't, listen.
That's not, what?
That's not my point.
That's not my point.
My point is, my point is he went out and proved that by winning the championship with him guarding the best player.
That'll make you number one option.
That's not what my point is.
Okay.
My point is he proved that he can play defense.
He proved that he can not only play defense, but take over the fucking game.
He proved he can play defense.
Both sides of the game.
No, no, no.
Because at the end of the day, I got finals MVP of the east and I got finals MVP of the finals.
Look at my hardware and my zoom.
Good.
With the lights and everybody back there.
You don't have that.
You got the choice.
He got Harry.
Look, you don't have this hardware.
Okay.
Who's saying that?
He said that to step Curry before he won one.
And then he went to go.
Then he had to go get it.
Three more time.
He didn't have to go get it.
He said it.
Look, that pissed him off because he's like, you know what?
I don't got that back here.
He just has one final.
He couldn't even do the Zooms no more until he got it.
He was like, you know what?
I know that.
I know that.
He had to do.
He had to go.
He has to say.
That's what I got one before you.
But that doesn't make him better than Steph.
Oh, it doesn't.
All right then.
It's just getting hardware.
So why are we saying this makes him better than Taylor.
Because we see it, we see what he does without Tater.
We ain't never seen what Equal Dollar did.
We ain't never seen with Jalen Brown in the game.
The same stats he got.
They'll average that with him there.
We have never seen what Equal Dollar did without Steffing him.
Now put Equal Dollar and half step in him.
He was an all-star.
He was All-Star and Philly.
He was All-Star and Philly.
Jaylor Brown? Hey, man, Jason Taylor, the guy with the Jordan's shit and everything that I want to hype up the Postal Town.
Man, listen, watch out. This is my shit.
There's a reason why you hype me up.
That's fine.
Because I'm number one when I'm, I mean, I'm number one when I average 29 in the east.
I'm number one when I average 10th.
Yeah, but you ain't taking that hardware.
Oh, number one.
No, no.
No, no.
Hey, you robbing when it's time to do this.
Yeah, you robbing.
Hey, Brandon.
Hey, Josiah got a stat for you.
Okay, my bad.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Josai got a stat for you.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
First Team, All-N-B-X selection.
Who's that to speak of?
I mean.
Jason Taylor?
How many?
First team.
Where the trophy's at in Zoom?
That shit.
What they have?
The plaque.
I think you get a plaque.
You get a plaque.
Okay.
Well, what he did.
You don't know.
Brown don't know what it is.
He don't need to know.
He don't know what the fuck Brown got.
Oh, hey, listen, the next Zoom, Jason Tatum and Brown do, show your hardware.
Yeah.
They're going to have four.
Do we think that they zoom each other?
That shit look to be time Jason Tatum.
Yeah, man.
You got it done.
Got it done.
I ain't go hard.
All he doing is posting that gold medal back there
that he didn't play in.
Cool. That's cool. He got it.
Four firsts. Damn. Four first team.
He got invited. Where's the plaque?
At least I got invited.
They said, that's what they think about you.
They said, that's what they think about you.
That's low blow. Y'all is doing low blows.
You're going to go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Hey, let's go.
Hey, let's go.
What they do?
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let it go.
Let it go.
Let it go.
You're going too fucking far now.
They got it.
They got it.
They got it.
Got it.
All right.
All right.
Let it go.
Let it get it off.
Oh,
Bigs, you're gone too far.
And here we got invited.
Yeah.
That's how you feel.
Damn.
Let him go.
Let him go.
Yeah, let him go.
Let him go.
Let him go.
This is a rap battle.
You got to have your bars right.
You brought it up.
That's going to stop the whole battle.
God damn, my dick.
You're going to talk about my mama too.
Shit.
Leave my mom out of this, man.
Talk about my ghost.
I didn't get invited.
Yeah, man.
That's cool.
Hey, guess what?
Guess what?
They took Derek White over you.
Yeah.
Oh, see, see, see, see, see, see.
Somebody else, too.
See?
You're not made fair.
It was three of them.
We had rules to this shit.
It was three of them.
I thought they wasn't going to get me.
I came in here, I thought y'all wasn't going to say that shit.
We had rules in this shit, I said, I had them.
I said, I got these boys today.
You was on the road, but you bought the Olympics in up, so I got a head.
Man, you teed that bitch up, and I said, and judged at a bomb.
Hey, wait a minute, at least he was here, dig.
I was in line for my mail.
All right, all right, y'all got it.
Y'all got it.
I keep you that.
One, two, skip two.
You know, that's fucking.
That's fucking hilarious.
Two-go medals.
Drew Holiday also two go medals.
One, that's remember.
Three.
Yeah, all right.
Two teams.
You know, he started his own brand.
They took the fourth option over you.
They took the fourth option over you.
They took three players from the team.
That's smart.
Your second option right now, went over you.
How much he average?
How much he average right now?
Which one?
15, 16.
I bet you be at the all-star game.
Not enough.
I bet you'd be at the all-star game.
You're going to make the all-star game?
Who?
Who?
Oh, yes.
I thought you were talking about it.
I said, I thought you meant Dirtwood.
They're going to say, fuck no.
Man, man, check that nigga cut.
All right?
You get me so mad, bro.
I'm saying, I'm having 14 on an adult, but he can't get 14.
I'm still here.
He can't get 14 on a underdog?
I'm still here.
I'm still here.
I'm still here.
Like, as you do underdog pick him, you have to start to know the players that you can
actually believe in to execute and those that will betray you.
Y'all made me believe in him like the world forced him on us.
Like he's just at the perfect year.
I'm like, what are you talking about?
I'm saying, you got to defend our corner.
I'm just saying, you was like, man, you were getting him all that.
They tricked me.
I never said you could give it to him, he could do all that.
You was like, yeah, he's nice, bro.
I was like, jerk, what?
With the hair, it's easy to beat up when you got motherfucking.
But that's what I'm saying.
Tatum, Brown, Porzinger's, Holiday.
That's what I was saying, I was saying it was fool going.
I was saying it was fool going.
I was like, lo.
He's getting them points because of them.
And then next year come.
We're going to see the real white dude in him.
That you can work at FedEx for real, man.
You go to the FedEx out of the FedEx.
Let me get this.
I'm sitting in this ear.
I didn't check your ID and everything.
He don't give you no break.
No break.
You don't go.
You're going to throw the box in.
Nah, you know what supervisor.
He did a jusky skit.
What?
Working.
That'd be telling everybody.
You're telling everybody.
You're going to wait a minute.
Hey, boss is 15 minutes late.
You got to take my mouth.
My boss watching.
He can't do it.
They're way too much.
He's going to charge extra.
You got to charge extra.
Man.
Motherfucker.
They third, though.
I think, Sean, Mr.B.
You guys were both very high on Jalen Brown.
There were some heated intense debates here in Gills Arena presented by a hundred dog who-woop
during the 20-204 NBA finals.
I'm just saying, man, give the man his respect.
That's all.
You know what I'm saying?
That's all.
You know, they count on his hair.
He left his mark.
He's still leaving his mark.
leaving his mark.
He killed.
Like, you know, it's what he do.
Got his own shoe with shit.
I have a question.
Why do, why would do, like, they act like that, like you put that shit on, though.
You got to go wash it out.
Like, you got to get the child, dog.
It's a product.
It's a kill.
So this is the same thing, right?
So that means like, so.
Another thing, your man don't take baths, bro.
You get in there, don't watch his part his body, though.
Don't watch his body.
So that means he put us clothes on, right, before the game.
He take him off nicely, right?
So the durag on.
So like you're doing all, oh, durang on probably.
Yeah.
Hopefully we buttoned up.
It's the whole process.
Okay, okay.
You're losing your hair.
It's the whole process.
To like not get hit to like, you know what I'm saying.
It's like it's a lot going on.
You don't rub it, it'll stay.
Yeah, it'll stay.
It's right.
But you're trying not to have contact.
Y'all need to leave them alone, man.
Y'all know nothing about it.
It's not.
It's a contact sport.
My roof.
My roof.
Relax.
Relax.
My roof.
My roof.
See, you wouldn't even.
You wouldn't even post me.
I got to live here.
Nigger, let me put this shit in my head and y'all leave me alone.
It's the Boston barbershops, but y'all don't be on Instagram seeing all the guys go to Turkey and get their shit down.
Like, you know, you can do that.
You know, they be.
Is there nowhere closer than Turkey?
It's a whole, that's a whole airport full of ball heads of a bunch of a person.
I've seen that one.
Yeah.
I see that one.
I mean, on Twitter, I mean, on Twitter or Instagram.
A whole, it's a whole airport.
What?
What?
It's looking crazy.
So was it just a bunch of bald niggas and turkey that.
banded together and said, we got to fight.
They shouldn't be talking about the women
on more flying to get the work done.
Yeah, they in the fucking airport all half-ed,
looking crazy as a motherfucker.
Like that.
Just look like a bunch of spiders.
Is it like pubs?
Yeah, that's nasty.
They just walk around like,
they just walk around, say, brother shit,
way, same doctor.
Same doctor.
That mowgast, like you're turkey.
Y'all, you're nasty words.
Stop, man.
I'm about to get the beer, shit.
I'm going to turkey.
No, McKist.
But you got to die.
You got to die.
Come on, let's go to get it.
I feel perfect.
I swear to God, they're going to have you.
Let's go to get it.
Hey, but get what?
You got the sense to know, though.
I'm just saying, it can nothing you can do about it.
No, but they're going to have.
I don't know if they, it's the same flight.
Everybody take them, but they'd be having them all on the same flight.
So, McKinnell, they're going to have you, bro.
Turkish Airlines.
They could be like, nah, they see it.
Take that motherfuck off.
Take that motherfucker off.
Take that.
Take that motherfucker off.
Let us see that.
The motherfucking land at Miami airport, all them chicks got them donuts.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, they got the sitting donuts, you know where they been.
I can't.
I can't go for them, bro.
That's why the man and the men, y'all,
talk about the women getting their bodies, you know,
because they'd be seeing y'all in Turkey.
I got to go to Turkey.
I'm going to Turkey.
Man shit.
Mugugler.
Don't go to Turkey.
Take that shit off.
I'm letting y'all know.
If I ever go ball, I'm going to Turkey, I'm going.
Just go home, dog.
Women prefer the other way.
Can you imagine me?
Just go home.
Hey, women prefer the other way, trust me.
I mean, I have tattoos all on my head, so.
Go ahead and go there.
I prefer you to do that.
I never had a ball head.
Just get your dog.
That's bald?
What, the line?
Yeah.
Just having that line.
Yeah.
Get that nice little face.
Yeah, get that nice little face.
You're lining up your scalp.
Hey, this Dodbollah.
Bollah, that's Di Bollah.
Go to the barbershop.
Line this.
Go ahead and line.
Go ahead and line my line up, bro.
It's already there.
It's already there.
You gotta do a lot.
I'm not saying if I ever.
So down south we got shags and down.
You'll be old with drenched.
So a nigga had bald to a shag.
Bald shag?
Bald shag.
With the fade and all.
He's got nothing up here,
but he had a little bit.
That's like the little rat-tale shit.
They'd be fade that shit right here.
Niggas is crazy.
But I'm trust me,
women prefer you to go ahead and cut that shit off.
Yep.
I've had plenty of conversations.
Listen, would you prefer me walking around with my roof wide open?
Or this shit is right wide?
Lucky niggins is like this thought.
Look, he got all this hair, see it.
No, look, look, yeah.
Michael Warren, just cut it off.
You didn't cut my shit bald.
You did.
You're a baseball to my girl.
He's crazy.
You know that.
Fake jacket can you right here.
But that's not the feeling back to the door, right?
Tupac.
All the good, all the people that was dominant, that was really good, was bald.
Yeah.
Even then right.
Everybody.
When I had that ball head with my head, she'd be like, ooh, Tupac.
Tupac.
That's how she's dancing on you?
I was like, yeah, baby.
She rubbed your head and says, Tupac.
Yeah.
For sure.
For sure.
You learn something new every day here in Gilles Arena presented by underdog.
All right.
Thank you, guys.
With bigie glasses.
All right, well, let's...
Let's talk about another situation involving Jalen Brown that I'm sure will get a good debate discussion on.
So Jalen Brown has also been doing work in the streamer game, covering a variety of topics, including his fake hair line, amongst other things.
So during the stream, recently, he had this to say about flopping, taking over the league.
This new generation, this new era.
new era, the floppers.
If you want to, if you want to be a great
player, you got to sell your soul.
You got to be a flopper.
If you want to be an MVP, you want to be
top of the top. You got to sell
your soul and just be a flopper.
Find those MVP's on the back. You know what I mean?
Y'all tell me,
what y'all want me to do.
He broke it to the whole thing. Y'all want me to be on that.
I can do it. I can start going
to practice and, like, working
on, like, working on, throwing my head.
You know what I mean?
Working on, hey.
Just as soon as somebody touches, hey.
All right, wait, can we go back and just stop it?
Y'all see them topies.
So you just put a screen grab of the video.
I'm just telling you the greatness.
That's a hotel.
Like, just look at the greatness.
That's a hotel.
Finals.
That's a hell line.
No, no, no, no.
Back there, you see it in the back.
That's all Beijing.
Yeah, yeah.
You see it all in the back.
In Beijing bottle.
Look at that.
Beijing bottle.
Look at that.
That's a hotel.
I'm just telling you, the Zoom.
Just look at the greatness.
Look at the Zoom.
Look at the Zoom.
I'm being greatness.
You have to have hardware on your Zoom, ladies and gentlemen, okay?
Sam.
Something.
Bay Gene on your Zoom.
It's a golf.
But...
A little sign.
And if you don't mind, can we play what Jaylon Brown actually said again, just so the
Couch...
New Generation is you were...
Floppers.
If you want to...
If you want to be a great player, you got to sell your soul.
You got to be a flopper.
If you want to be an MVP, you want to be top of the top, you got to sell your soul and just be a
flopper.
Oh, he's talking about shit.
You know what I mean?
Y'all tell me
what y'all want me to do.
Y'all want me to be on that.
I could do it.
I can start going to practice and like working on like
like working on throwing my head.
You know what I mean?
Working on, hey.
As soon as somebody touches, hey.
So this seems like a shot at SGA.
And Luca and Luca.
Luke has not won a MVP.
But he said MVP and other things.
Okay.
So I'm just pushing in.
Both of those, you want me, get to the free throw line a lot.
SGA leads the league with 235 free throw attempts so far this season,
but currently second behind Luca with 10.2 attempts per game.
So when you guys hear Jalen Brown saying this,
what are your thoughts about Jalen Brown's comments on floppers and selling his soul?
It's the NBA's fault.
Man, it's a part of the game now.
I mean, I think it's the NBA's fault for allowing it.
I don't know about selling a soul.
Like, what does that mean?
Like, you're selling your soul from not playing the game of basketball
from not understanding, like, how to get to, like, easier shots and get out?
Ethical hoopers, as I believe is referred to.
I mean, no, I just think it's, I mean, flopping is an IQ thing.
I feel like that's just a thing to where you know the defense is going to foul
and you have, you can get the refs to be able to make a call.
Do I like flopping, no.
I remember playing against Devin Harris all the time.
And every time he came down, he was flopped.
So, like, you know he's hitting the free to line, you know, every time.
So, yeah, I get it with flying, but I just selling your soul, I think it's just part of the game.
I would say this.
It's the easiest way to get a bucket.
It's the easiest way to get to the line.
But if we talk in who, guys like Kyrie Irvin, I want that contact.
I want the hardest bucket I can get.
We go to the advanced expert level of bucket getting.
This is why, listen, this is why Kobe Bean Bryant took the hardest shot.
He was the hardest, toughest shot maker.
Michael Jordan, tough shot maker.
You know how much he was getting hit where he could have flop and got to the line 20, 30 times a game?
I can't let you go there.
There are certain guys that can play through contact.
This is what happens.
But look, Nick, where you from?
Where you from?
You played in the back then.
Did you play in a pack, what is it, Pac 12?
Fact 10.
Back 10.
You beat Carolina.
He played in the Pac-10.
You played in the Pac-T-A-Lah, All right, all right, Big East.
Right, the Conference of Champions, I see.
All right, the Conference of Champion.
When you are cut from a certain, because Kenya had this conversation based on coming out West and they're staying a certain.
So if you're playing this type of way and you used to, uh, that's the easiest way to get a bucket.
If we had 24 hours.
We're in 24-hour and you call foul every time.
Why do I want to score hard?
I'm asking a question, though.
If we play at 24-hour fitness and you call in foul every time.
I do.
And you do?
Don't touch me.
Do you know why you do?
Because you want an easy bucket.
I do.
And you don't know how to get a hard bucket.
No, there's no such thing.
Yeah, yeah.
Who wore our buckets?
Everybody who play at the advanced level.
That's why you have a book.
That's why you got the book of Eli?
If Kobe wanted a harder shot, he went to pump-fake.
He didn't do, he wouldn't do this to get you off your feet to get it in his head.
Did you make it hard for Kobe Bean, Brian, to get a fucking bucket?
So why did he pump it?
Hard.
If he wanted it hard, he just tried a shoe over again.
No, no, he wouldn't.
He would get blocked.
Thank you.
That's a harder shot.
No, it's not.
The harder shot is the counter, nigger.
No, it's not.
Yes, it is.
Because you know what you're going to do.
What's the counter to two dribbles?
The harder shot is a faded way to shoe over a long motherfucker like that.
Nah, two dribbles.
Not to shoot win his hand.
Oh, Kenyon ain't going for it.
Let me spin back.
He's pump fake again.
He's still not going for it.
Let me reverse hivets.
You want to be able to make hard shots.
Let me reverse hivet off the glass.
You want to be able to make hard shots.
You don't want to have to take hard shots for every shot.
If you can get foul based on flopping.
We're talking about flopping, though.
We're not just talking about getting foul.
We're not talking about getting foul, Nick.
We're talking about flopping.
That's called faking, nigger.
That's being a face.
ass nigger.
Hey.
You're big faking fuck out here.
You flopping and you're
That's what he's talking, fake ass nigger.
Your flop, that's why he says selling your-
No, no.
He's why he said-
He don't know how to score.
He said, sell your soul.
That's why he said, you want me to do that?
To be able to sell a fucking call.
Because everybody can do it.
Number one know how to sales calls.
I don't have to sell a call if I know how to get a call,
nigger.
I can run through you.
I'm going to run through you.
There you go. That's his game.
I'm going to make you call it. I ain't got to
but why not? Ain't that like
IQ of the game? No.
For real. No. Why make it harder?
Yeah. Well, I asked Kyrie because he'd make it hard.
Oh, you know? Oh, he knows. Super crazy part.
I don't think Tyree making it hard.
Damn, bro.
A lot of opposable moments about this discreet.
Welcome, welcome.
Difficult.
We use difficult.
Man, we are grown, man.
Man, man, stop.
Diffic.
Guy make it too old.
I'm getting told for that.
Turn it off.
I got to talk.
No, turn it off.
I'm getting tough, but I got to talk, man.
I love women.
Yeah, welcome.
Welcome.
You know how to make it hard, for real.
We make difficult plays.
No, he'd be making a hard place.
Hard and smoking.
But everybody who who know the difference, man,
you know the fucking difference.
If I'm playing defense on you.
And you're like, uh,
so every time,
so what about Yonis?
If you're picking Devin Harris up and he flopping every fucking five seconds,
and they're giving him that shit,
You got three fucking fouls off two flops.
That's not smart.
That's not smart basketball to me.
Of nothing I'm doing.
Nothing you're doing, bro.
He just knows if I go,
if Brandon,
if Brandon just guard me full of court,
he's just right here,
I'm gonna just go up and it's like,
what's the name?
What am I doing?
The Martin, the Martin dude that used to shit like,
Kevin Martin, same guy, the same guy.
The same guy.
Kevin Martin, Lou Will, all that shit is a gift,
oh, I ain't no gift.
That is.
Ain't no gift.
All this, all the, it's like.
All right, look, if you was at,
But which one do they take more, though?
You get criticized
of being a bad shot maker.
That's a tough shot compared to other people.
No, that's a bad shopmaker is considered a person
to take hard shot.
And you flopping and you're getting fouled
is two different things.
Like, Lou Will get some of those are fouls
when he put himself in position to get fouled.
But when you flop, that is different than getting foul.
If I hit you out of position,
Brunson gets you up and then he
throw into you. That's not a flop.
You're out of position. That's a smart play.
That's what Gil be talking about.
But when you flopping, that's the punk shit.
That's when I didn't touch you.
That's when you're just trying to sell it
because you got nothing else for your game.
This is all you got is selling that bullshit.
If I can get you out the game, that's smart.
It seems like he's taking a shot at SGA,
but it feels like SJ has more to his game
than just flopping.
It has been dubbed a foul merchant, foul bader,
all those other derogatory time.
We all watching the game.
Ain't that high IQ?
So you talk, so Shod coming from a place
to somebody where you play like physical defense, right?
Because everybody don't play de-so for you and for me,
if a motherfucker do that,
like you punk-ass, nigga.
Yeah, like I'm hot.
Play through it.
So my thing is, so the way I handle it,
I'm going to have a quick two.
You got to get this other one.
I'm going to have a, shortly after,
I am picking up my second.
I have to.
Yeah, I got to get my wife.
Yeah, I got to feel like that.
I wasn't taking advantage of the one job.
So therefore, I'm going to pick up a second one and I'm going to walk straight to the bench.
Guess what?
That's me.
Right here.
Hand up.
I won.
I got the two hardest defenders out of the game.
I won.
Depends on who.
And I got, who coming in for y'all?
Reggie.
Terry Kittles.
I'm going at his leg.
I'm going out of the game.
and Reggie Evans is coming in, you better, hey.
But you're thinking that smart.
What we were in Denver, hey, you better hope,
Ken don't get that second one.
Man.
Because Reggie coming in, nigga.
He's going to file you worried.
Hey, good luck.
He got Carrie Kittles coming after her.
Or Ben Horn, I'm going at his legs.
It's just a different who perspective, bro.
When you know, I ain't got to do that to get one up on you.
I think it's high.
I don't have a high.
It's hype.
That's why.
And it's just,
it's bail out.
And it's just getting the reps to understand,
Yeah, oh.
If the reps take it away,
if the reps take it away,
they're doing the playoffs.
If you take away the flop,
I'm not talking about the IQ shit.
How they swallow the whistle in the playoffs, right?
Like, when you flop and they give you a flop,
bro, if they take that away, it's a turnover.
What does the flop look like a foul, though?
That's like what Gil was saying about Luke and they are, right?
That's how Gil was saying about Luke and they are,
like every time they're doing this shit, right?
Yep.
So when you flop and they don't call it, now it looks extra bad, right?
And you don't run back, all that shit.
Yeah, both, like, I think it's,
but y'all brought up to do Kevin Martin, like,
yeah, them do, like, so they, they work on that shit, man,
like you on their hip, you got your arm on them.
What?
They work on, like, all that shit is like,
both of y'all are saying, it's high- IQ shit.
For sure.
I think it's softball playing basketball
with a lot of dudes, right?
I barely touch and you fall a fuck out of the bat.
Like, that shit is weak.
If I got you out of position, I'd be different.
That's a different.
That's a different.
I don't know about other ways of fucking.
That's a high-acue shit.
That's not a flop.
Nick, that's not a flop.
I can't even do that.
But I'm talking about if I got you out of position,
you go back.
You go by.
That's a quick first step.
I'm out of position now.
And you draw a foul on me.
That's not a flop.
He's talking about just me come and guard you and you just, ah.
You just like, you're going up and down the court,
you didn't did this shit seven times.
Come on, bro.
They're going to call one of them.
Do you feel like that?
You know what I'm saying?
That is not, we embrace all wearing Gil's arena for.
And we all looking like, bro, are you good, bro?
What are you going?
Now, so now you drive to the basket, right?
I got- I hate that, yeah.
I know, so now we put the real situation doing that shit.
We all thought Dirk used to do that shit, right?
Yeah, he did.
So therefore he did the shit.
They called one, he'd do it.
Okay, let me help.
Let me really hit you.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I got, they, but it's the real shit.
Like, if you're going to.
Do it then.
Yeah.
Some of them motherfuckers, that shit, like, all right, niggins.
Do you put SGA and Luka AR in that category, though?
Sometimes people do be playing over-aggressive.
No.
And you can't.
You have bad.
That's the one, that's the one you use to your back.
That's the IQ shit I think y'all talking about.
You got a Lou door on you and he's trying to establish I'm playing aggressive against you tonight.
Now, now, it's not to say that he can't.
He can't, but when he goes overboard with the aggression, he's.
with the aggression.
He's pushing me all over the place.
Like, I got to get one on him.
I got to get one.
You keep pushing you out every time two hands on you.
Ron Artecette, shit, Stephen Jackson, shit.
God, they're like, those guys, you try to get the two quick files on them.
I got it.
I know you're aggressive.
Yeah, so I want to get you out the game.
If we are in our momentum, if we got our lather going, we're like, all right, defensively,
I know I'm on this shit.
I know what he's doing here.
I know what he's doing there.
The only thing he can do is flop.
Yeah, he wants you off him.
Well, pump, fake, yeah.
Because I'm on his, I'm on it.
I'm on this, I'm on that.
Like, now you have to flop.
You got a fun thing.
But the overaggressive guys, like you said, is a fun thing.
But if I'm coming down playing D and I'm like, you know, I'm trying to stop you.
And then you hit me with a pump faking, you know, okay, that's one thing.
That's me.
That's my motherfucker.
But if you're just coming down and I'm just playing and if I got a little and it's like, it's like, all right.
It's like, all right, God damn, my d'clock.
Because if I want to do that.
That's a foul.
Boom.
Oh, my heck.
But that's not a flop, though, Nick.
That's the you have literally created contact.
It's a fast on me.
Nah, but we're saying,
Eve, I don't hit you with the shoulder.
And I avoid that.
And then you're expecting me to hit you, but I don't.
I move.
And you go,
they don't see the contact.
They just see you flopping.
And a lot of that happens when you don't have the ball.
That's what he's saying, too.
So Sam, when he's trying to come down and he's just doing like,
he's like, uh, like this is like, bro, I'm not even doing,
I'm right here.
Richard Hamilton used to do all this shit.
Can't go a rip on the,
fucking go around here yeah yeah all that shit you just gonna stop and make you run him over yeah yeah
yeah that shit him or reggie miller yeah like yeah like yeah it's high a cue damn it's like
so it worked both way i'm just saying the flop shit to me is like the duke shit when the duke nigger
don't want to meet you at the top of block he want to take a fucking charge he want to stand here
oh it's what the fission baddie yeah yeah and all the motherfuckers man's like
bro we here to i'm about to bang on you meet me at the scot
Me at the time.
Nah, no, I'm taking this charge on you, bro.
That makes you fall in shit.
Yeah, you get hurt and all that type of shit.
You get hurt on me at the top.
See, y'all, see the thing is, he's taking one.
Y'all got to make him pay for it.
No, you need a fuck out.
You put your knee right in your mother, shit.
You're right on.
Land on you and everything.
I'm all right in my cushion.
Right there.
And then you won't take another one too.
You won't take another one.
One damn son.
I'll be old now.
100%
You won't stand in there for another one
and that's goddamn accurate
It's just a different type of hoot
That's all I'm saying
It's different type of
I watched him
When I was coming up
He was one of my idols
When I was watching
Defense all the scream shit
That's my culture bro
So when I took that as a guard
And I took that approach
To the guard side
Playing defense like that
Blocking the niggish shot
Get that shit out of here
motherfucker all that
meant something
So when you should
see a nigga flailing and flopping, you out there trying to deny, and he, uh, come on,
bro, get that weak-ass shit out of here, man, we ain't, don't, we ain't on that.
And I'm talking to him like that, like, bro, what's up, bro, you good?
Why are you flopping?
Relax.
They didn't even say flopping back then, though.
I never heard of it.
We were just bitch-ass-naggot-knit shit.
Yeah.
It was more like, stop back on your little bitch.
Yeah, that.
I never heard of what fucking say flop back in the day.
You flopping, bro.
Somebody like a bitch.
That's exactly what it was.
That's exactly what it was.
That's soft-ass shit.
Yeah.
Like, what was the same flop?
We used to say soft-ass Europe.
Soft-ass shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's that soft-ass shit.
The only thing I had in my game, right, that was a resembling.
I didn't take real charges in the league, right?
Because I meet you.
But for me, my thing is, like, I would slide which slide in the view.
Oh, that was the only thing I had in my game, right?
Like, you're flying defensively, a nigga, hey, that was a lot.
And that didn't even look like it.
It didn't look like it.
It didn't look for.
It didn't look like it.
They weren't going forward.
Hey, Ken, you think if you would have took more charges,
they would have gave you more love defensively?
Probably so.
But because you was challenging everything, you ain't care about.
You know what I'm saying?
I just feel like because of what they think defensive is.
Oh, Kenyon taking two or three charges today.
Instead of hard foul or instead of hard foul and trying to meet him at the realm,
they would have looked at you as like, oh, yeah, he's a defensive guy.
Like, you know, not.
Okay.
Absolutely.
That definitely plays the point.
No, no, I know.
If you're getting, if you're getting categorized as a fowler,
yeah, an aggressive.
I'm a fouler and not a defense or a foul.
I average over a steel and over a block of game like every year.
Right, right, right.
Over a steal and over a block of game, every single year.
But to your point, if I took more charges.
Yeah, those are, like, they'll look at you like, oh shit.
Oh, yeah, he give this, though, they don't count me on the ball
and changing the shot.
Same thing, it's just that you're keeping the ball and play.
Yeah, you know what you're keeping the ball and play with it.
But now, that makes sense.
So I don't, like, that's why it's, like, the defense of the thing is.
Both of them was, I think both work, though.
Niggins not going to the hole knowing that you're going to get thrown on the ground, too.
Yeah, but from the people that's looking at it.
But that's for us, essentially, for the player, but they don't see that.
They're not looking at that.
They're not looking at that.
First of all, he's keeping the game going because he's challenging.
So block or not, but with a charge, it's like, take it out, boom, boom.
And it's a foul on the other team.
It's a turnover on the other team.
Nine and a half times out of ten, right?
If it was a wing or a big.
I was on the ball nine and a half times out of ten, right?
So contesting shots consistently, making guys take tough shots,
there's no stat for that.
So me, me, contested shots and all the rebounds down, of course,
but always on the fucking ball.
We switch, I'm switching picking rolls on the perimeter with a guard.
My job is to make you take a contestant, too.
My job is not to let you get a body for pressure on defense.
Rudy Gates, remember in the game for game on the line?
Game seven, oh, yes.
Vince, Rudy, all you name it, brother, for game.
But they taught us that.
No easy, no easy lay-ups.
You see the ball on the fast break, you'd be like,
go get it.
But it's crazy, though.
It's crazy.
If he take more charges, he's looked at, like, you know,
they're respecting a, and it's like, I'm challenging,
I'm keeping the ball and play, he's missing, and we're, like,
you know what I'm going?
Like, where's the stop in that?
There ain't, he's just like a deflection.
Like, you get, you get credit for the flexion.
Yes, it is a deflection.
You get credit for deflection, but you don't get credit for
being, like, yeah.
Changing the shot, yeah.
Like D'Andre Jordan used to be one of the scariest niggins.
You go in there, try to throw that shit up.
Dwight, him and Dwight Howard, get that fucking.
And then him and Marcus Camby played on the same team, my nigga.
Do you understand what that means?
A defensive player of the year.
Him and Marcus can be on the same team, four or five.
Niggas, stop.
You better dunk it.
You better dunk it.
You can't dunk it.
You better, you have to dunk it.
And then if I go out, you got MC blocking shot him in,
but you got MC blocking shots still,
then you got Nate Ney and Reggie taking charge.
Nihara taking charge.
Yeah, all three of them.
That's where they went to the Western Conference finals, right?
After the Nihara wasn't ever, yeah, but we still,
but Neney taking charges, Reggie take charges,
Nihara was taking charge, me and MC blocking shit.
So good luck.
Man.
And it wasn't like niggas were slouchers on the perimeter,
niggas, stay with you.
Roger straight straight to the, to the motherfucking, big guys.
What happened after that year y'all lost to the Lakers?
They traded.
They blew it up.
2011, they traded.
Johnson and Mello.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
To the Knicks.
Yeah.
The year y'all went.
2010, 2010.
They traded.
They did two years in a row, right?
That's what I'm saying.
Y'all played the Lakers.
In the Western Conference Final.
They swept us one year, and then we played them in the Western Conference Finals
and threw the ball away twice.
Yeah.
Out of balance plays.
Yeah, blew the team up.
That first day when Mello and them got to the Knicks,
we were their first game when Mello came.
They woofed our ass.
They'd be set us up.
It was like one of the ones.
They was crying to hear Knicks fans.
They was like the chosen one is coming back.
It was crazy.
It was crazy.
The garden was shut down.
His first game is a Nick.
His first game as a Nick.
They cleared down the lights.
He did his intro through the thing.
I said, we're not winning this game tonight.
They whipped my ass.
Hey, that's how he was.
We played Boston the first game, and they had
KD and, what?
It was like the chosen one was coming.
They were like black jeans.
They were like, he's coming back to New York home town.
Oh, man.
In Boston.
I know what you're talking about.
That feeling.
New York was crying.
They said, this is it.
We're on.
We got, like, the fact that they traded Chonsie with him,
I was livid.
Johnson, yeah.
Johnson looked like he was out of it, though.
Yeah, he was home, dog.
Yeah, he was home, Colorado.
Because, like, I remember talking to Chauncee during that game, and just a lot.
He was just like, man, this shit, like, he wasn't, he wasn't ready for that.
No, he was at home.
He thought he was, he was at the crib, though.
Yeah, he from them, yeah.
He from them.
Oh, okay, okay.
I'm saying, so to get, and that's your second stint there.
Yeah, yeah.
So you're thinking this, it was the second time there.
So it's, and they trade a big shot, and, I'm saying, we knew the mellow shit was coming eventually.
He was.
But then, they motherfuck could trade a big shot with him, man, Joe.
I was like, ah, hey, man.
Yeah, Chaunsey was off there.
For Wilson, Taylor and Gallinari.
Hey, what my peak slip at?
Hey, goddamn.
Shit.
I remember that.
That was a man.
Monsk was not.
Mons golf, all the...
Would you say?
Moll's shot terrible that day.
Mellon shot like 30 shots that day.
Yon's situation is similar.
What?
To the Mello and Denver.
See, see, the thing about Mello,
see, the thing about Mello, though,
like, Mello was born in New York.
So, like, when he came, like...
No, I'm talking about just, like, in the locker room knowing, like...
Oh.
Because everybody was talking about when Mello getting traded.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I'm saying, oh, I thought you were saying if Yonis went to New York.
Like, when Mello went there, it was like...
They was like, yo, God, like, God came.
Like, it was just like, you know, they was going crazy.
And we was right in the middle of that shit.
I'm like, man, we're trying to get our ass beat.
Damn.
It was crazy.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
It was an interstate battle.
for the NBA Cup quarterfinal opening
between the top-seated magic, fourth-seated heat.
We're still talking about basketball.
NBA Cup, Swaggy.
This is a basketball show.
I'm going to let them cook, man.
Trying to get my check for the day.
Let me see, Orlando.
We want to talk about that Rich Paul show.
Go ahead, which one?
We spoke about the yesterday, man.
What do you want to bring back up that you miss?
What did you want to circle back on?
Yeah.
Because we ain't talking about Orlando.
We're going to give them some love.
No, man.
We gave them a lot.
The ball, bang through the ball.
We have a quota that we have to reach every season.
So we talked about the Raptors today for a good six minutes.
We say them six minutes, now.
Put them in the bank.
Put them in the bank.
We're going to put them in the bank.
Okay, we got 15.
We got to be good.
I'm going to see.
We got a 15 moment.
We got unlimited time here and gives her any percent by a dog, woo, who, whoa.
I just remember it was like some, he came on the show and called me a hater.
Everybody just kind of just let that shit go.
Who?
Rich.
Rich called you a header?
Yeah, I'm a header.
I'm one of our episodes.
I was not on.
I sit up.
So I'm just trying to wonder why we've been giving motherfuckers love on our shit,
and they don't be giving us love on their shit.
You know what I'm saying?
We can cover their shit.
Oh, Rich Paul's, he ain't say a goddamn thing about Gilzorino on that motherfucker.
He didn't say shit.
Woof, woo.
It's like he got two podcasts.
What are we doing?
I'm looking at me all.
Look at me talking time.
Look up, he was right here.
This is my camera, I can look in the camera or I can look away.
I can look back there too, nigger, what's going to do?
He's not on Zoom.
He engaged with me, nigger, shit.
He was like, nigger, leave me out of me, nigger.
That's not me.
I told you sit up.
I said it was coming, sit up.
I said, I sat up, right?
So you're so bad when you look at it, he'd be so mad when you look at it.
He was like, man.
He's making it personal.
It's not me.
He's like, why you look at it?
I'm just talking.
I don't want to look at him.
He ain't a zone.
He don't want no smoking the streets.
He don't want no smoking the streets.
Man, I'm just saying.
No, but I just thought it was weird, man.
Like the conversation that the fact that Max and Rich Paul has a podcast and like I said yesterday,
it's just not about what they, their richest field of business, which is basketball, but you're in the business.
side of it, not in the wins and lost his business.
And for you to be speaking on that and how good a team is,
I just found interesting, man.
Like, he called you a hater on here?
I know.
Like, no, no, wait, when he came here,
when he was sitting here next to him?
No, no, no, it was thinking it was in Vegas.
Yeah, he remember.
Oh, I wasn't on a shoulder in, see.
Wait, wait, why are you looking at me, motherfucker?
I wasn't on the shoulder in.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, I'm just saying he did it.
But I wasn't, wait, wait, hold on, wait, wait, wait, wait.
All-Star, yeah, all-star.
Yeah, all-star.
Okay, yeah.
Oh, all, oh, yeah, yeah.
But look, this is all I'm saying is.
Yeah, the one when they told us that we ain't work every day.
Yeah.
That show.
That show.
Say I was a hater because I don't know.
But look, this is what I'm saying.
I'm just like, do your fucking thing.
I'm just like, look, get it off.
Do your thing.
If we're going to talk who, right, y'all seen the Eddie Murphy documentary, right?
He had the little puppet things.
He got two things.
Eddie the goat, though.
Right?
Somebody telling this nigga to say some shit.
And he owned a podcast?
saying some shit. You got clients, you got, do you doing your thing? Well, you ain't really
promoting the game. Like, you got to promote the game, bro. Let's promote the game. We
ain't got to promote certain players. You got a bigger, man, look, let's just talk hoop. Let's talk
fucking hoop, bro. We don't have to do nothing else. I respect everybody craft. I'm on the type of
time where if we are talking positive, it ain't going to make good for the game because the game
needs to be critiqued.
So if everybody's catching sensitivity problems
like Ralph Trasvantz,
you know what I'm saying?
We can't talk about certain things.
Sometimes some of these people
I mean, we could talk about anything,
but at the end of the day, like,
and they hear shit like that bad thing, you know.
But no, no, yeah.
Even you, I was mad when people talk shit
about us on ESPN, like that shit.
But when they hear from a player point of it.
If somebody say something about me, I'm gonna say something.
I don't give a fucking.
If it's true or not.
You got something to say, then be ready.
Be ready for me to say something.
And you better have your bars ready because I got a lot of bars.
Because they're in a business.
A lot of motherfuckers.
We're in the business where it's critics.
It's fucking motherfuckers to come in here that's going to talk about the bad
shit you do and the good shit you do.
Everybody got a voice.
That's fine.
Exactly.
That's why he has a podcast.
So, to King's point, he can have one.
When you got a podcast and you're an active agent and you can tell guys that you should be
trying to trade this guy,
if you tried to trade that guy,
it's unfair to the other agent.
No, it's not.
You get your ass,
another agent to get his ass out there,
it started his own podcast.
I'm not saying about creating the podcast,
I'm talking about by creating the narrative.
It don't matter.
It don't matter.
Agents create narratives all the time behind the scenes.
So I'm not,
I'm not dealing with that shit.
Because an agent is the worst thing to happen.
Behind the scene.
So I'm behind a coach.
I agree.
Agents are caught.
So at the end day,
if he going to find a way to make his voice,
into what it is cool more agents should be start being more
motherfucking honest about what they feel all because at the end of the day
you sitting there getting two for three three percent awesome shit that you
ain't got nothing to do with well fuck it like at the end of the day you
a agent is full of shit any fucking way 100% so I'm gonna be honest with you
like you're talking about managing me at the end of the end of day you
already in cohoops with this team that person that person that person
at the end of day you know I'm happy so I am happy that
agent is finally talking yeah because I
want to know how much full of shit you are in there you go that's okay so that's what
you're all right cool my point that's fine we know you full of shit at the end day because at the
day you know that agent you're going to do what you do first of all if i'm signing to you
then that means that i'm already in competition with the next motherfucker that you sign with so you're
going to leverage me to some less anyway so at the end of the day as a young person coming in
i feel like what you should do is take the same route i do get into this business early learn
what it is so that you can do what you want to do you
can hire your homeboy to be agent at the end of the day.
That's all he did. You can hire a lawyer to be,
your lawyer at the end of the day going to get 2%
of anything you do anyway in life.
So if we're talking about an agent, I mean,
shit, look at my numbers. My numbers is 25, 7 and
7. Hey, lawyer, go tell them what I need.
So here's the question. You can just pay
the hourly two and save a little bit. Exactly. I have
this question. So are the Lakers fucking
contenders?
At this current juncture, number two in the
West? Come on. So tell me
this. Why would he say the Lakers are
not contenders when they clearly are?
That was his personal opinion.
I know that.
So if your personal opinion, like if they're number three in the NBA
and you're saying they're not contenders,
your client, your main client has been pushed to the number three position
on this team that he does not get an extension for.
On an expiring contract.
It doesn't add up.
I'm just saying it don't add up for you to make that type of distinction
knowing that it's false.
when they're clearly contenders.
Are they better than OKC at this point?
Do you really believe the Lakers are a championship team right now?
I told Kenyon on Emon Shumper's podcast
if Bronn comes out and plays the way he needs to,
they could definitely be contenders, bro.
If LeBron James shows up.
He just talked about they need to know.
Which he did not, because this was before the song.
He did not show up the way he was supposed to,
and they still are contenders.
So that speaks of the Lakers
having not even a strong roster
to even be where they're supposed to be, but they're playing in contention.
So to say that is to make it all the narrative look like the Lakers don't have something
that we don't see.
We're all watching the play.
They don't.
They don't, though.
But we're watching them.
But we're watching them.
So if they don't, that mean OKC don't, nigga.
They OKC do.
How?
We see.
They're winning.
Bro.
So are the Lakers.
Oh, we see.
We see.
I see too.
They got everything.
OKC got everything.
Rent the schedule.
Okay, okay.
Okay, see, worst string the schedule league.
Lakers are 18.
And it all, look.
If we say OKC can be contenders, why can't the Lakers?
When the fucking Lakers record says what it is,
they got two players averaging almost 30 a game.
What are we talking about?
But we're talking about the regular season Lakers.
I think Rich Pau was quick to specify that come playoffs.
They ain't never had this type of momentum.
But they were three in the West last season come playoffs.
They ain't never had Austin.
Reeves playing like this.
Austin Reeves wasn't playing like this last year.
My father limo, turn his water off in the play.
Listen, at the end of the day, signing with agent
likes signing with a record label.
Whoever the hottest artist, that's who
get the most butt.
And then you got your marketing manager
that they're going to bring in, and then they're going to
market you off that.
So that's just, I mean, that's just some knowledge for every
young coming.
Ain't bad to sign with agent.
I'm just saying, you could teach your
homies that you're living in the house with
with people.
If you don't want your agent all in the videos.
Listen, I'm, no.
I'm just saying I'm being dead serious for these youngings.
You can sign with an agent all you want.
And if your agent is going to start doing like that,
like I said, with Rich Paul, then that's just where it is.
But at the end of the day, remember, when you sign with an agency that has other clients,
you are just one of them.
So we're going to get to you when we feel like it.
Darry McGuire.
Unless your numbers are what they are, then yeah, we're going to give you that much attention.
I mean, that's with anything in life.
Bob sugar.
It's Cush.
Cushman.
So all he's doing is just opening up more stuff for other agents to now we got to hear they bullshit.
So that brings me my question, though, should my agents be open and transparent and do podcasts of their own?
Yes, yes, you know why?
Yes, because you always say you want to know the truth about what's going on out here.
They don't tell you the truth.
No, no, no, it's not about the truth.
No, no, no, it's not about the truth.
But you can sit here and hear how they talk.
I mean, we know how agents are.
We know how people, it's another, it's the same thing.
They gave us an opportunity to be in media.
Let's hear what the agent's got to say.
No, because I want to just hear what's the basketball part of it.
So you want to hear them talk about wins and losses or basketball.
I want to hear you talk about everything.
If you ain't trying to help improve the business of basketball for agents
and other agents coming after you, how they can be better and what things need to change within the business.
If you're not talking about that, I don't want to hear you talking about winnings and loss because you ain't ever played.
I don't want to fucking hear that shit for me.
Now we just got another opinion.
I want to talk about what you can know.
But they look at us just like another opinion.
No, but we actually have perspective.
Yeah, we played.
I'm talking who.
But an agent can, though, because the agent will be like
Oh, you can't get it.
But I'm just saying, they're going to feel like they can.
He knows his business, right?
Everybody feels like that.
He gets to talking about collective bargaining agreement
and all that's in the rule.
I'm going to get to talking about down screens, back screen, side.
I'm going to bring it up terminology, basketball.
What's the time we're going to run.
Yeah, what's up.
Draw me up.
end of the game play motherfucker but isn't the collective agreement everything part of basketball
all that stuff is part of that business that's the business that's the business of that's the business
they got to win the loss part to where the youngest got to understand but they ain't that he just said
he said the team ain't good he's talking about wins and loss and the team ain't good well right now
is what we're telling is that's what we want to know now we want to know about what you
doing to help these youngers like like like what do you do as an agent yeah that's what i want
to hear to get these players so yeah that's what we that's why you made the assumption
of what you made yeah that's what you're like that's what you're
That's what we want to know now.
We don't care about what you got to say about the game.
Yeah, that's what I want to hear.
That's what I want to hear.
Okay.
That's what I want to hear.
And that's fair.
Yeah.
And that's fair.
What are you doing to help this 19 year old be a better person to be a better man off the floor?
Okay.
And that's fair.
But that's what?
Rich Paul is not just an agent.
He's a, a influencer, a celebrity.
He's a celebrity.
He goes with a businessman.
A businessman.
All right.
Well, let's talk about that.
If your agent is a celebrity.
I'm with it.
Listen, I hear you, Nick, but he's LeBron's friend.
Of course you're going to be famous.
People don't know Bill Duffy or just words.
Well, let's talk about.
We can't find them.
We can't find them to you guys.
You know what I'm saying?
Don't bring the specific team to it.
Regular agent.
Y'all know who Ari Gold is, right?
Can't find them.
No, we can't find him.
But we can't find him.
Oh, no, you can't find Arigo.
So we, so you can't box somebody into something.
That's what thing.
We put in boxes like you can't do nothing else but this.
That's not it.
But that's not what we're saying.
That's not what we're saying.
Because if we was doing that, I would ask the question,
why didn't another agent come on the show?
Why we have him on three times?
Because he's a celebrity though.
I asked him.
I'm just asking.
He was on here three times.
We didn't have bills.
No other.
We didn't have no other agents.
I don't know who that is.
We were opening up the platform to have the same conversations he had.
Time outside.
That's fair.
All these people are welcome to come to Gill's representative
under door.
But they have.
Have y'all extended the invitation?
We didn't extend the invitation.
So how the fuck he'd get her then?
He asked to come on.
He wanted to come on three times.
Y'all could have said no.
But you chose not to.
If Bill Duff, he said he wanted to come on the show, we would say yes.
But he didn't.
But so who's fault is that way we do business is
anybody that call up want to come on the show, we say, yeah.
Not anybody.
So therefore.
Not anybody.
My point exactly.
You got to have a resume and credentials.
My point exactly.
You got to have a resume.
My point exactly.
You got to have a resume.
Exactly.
You got to have a resume.
But he built this motherfucker three times.
And?
I know, I knew him before he was rich.
He was shorty.
But I'm not damn rich.
This is shorty.
Now rich Paul.
Is it good at his job?
Yes.
The one thing I agree.
We don't take anything from it.
I'm not saying, but I'm just, he's, somebody people look at it in the, in the same.
So give us that then.
It's like a, not.
For sure.
I'm not going to call him ditty.
No, so give us.
You just, you just, you just called a ditty.
Nah, no, no, no.
Don't label that man is married.
He got, he's good.
He was a producer that always in the back, but he's in the front.
Diddy was a producer that's in the front.
So give us the game on how you manipulate these gyms and these presidents of these teams,
the finagle to get your guys in these places.
Tell us some of these things.
I don't want to hear you talking about the Lakers, not contenders right now when you got guys on the team.
That's what he did on this part.
And they're number three in the NBA.
But, but, but, but three different times.
But he also.
also should be able to give his
processors. He was available to come up.
So it's like Tim Hardaway.
But give us both.
If he wanted to come on again, Tim Hardaway
would. We're not bringing
Tim Hardaway back on.
Long as you give us both.
You're not bringing Tim Hardway back on.
Okay, let me see you this.
I'll give you this.
He's on the show with Max Kellerman, right?
Yes.
Max Kellerman got kicked off
of Stephen A. Smith's show because
he didn't play basketball.
He didn't play sports.
Well, for him, Max Kellerman, he got kicked
off the show because he was putting Stephen A
in packs's routine.
100% he was Muhammad Ali but this is what I'm saying when they actually happened it was well
Max doesn't have the resume in the in the credentials to talk so we should say ESP should talk so look
them two are getting together to do what they said they couldn't do they both getting together
and saying let's talk about what they say we can't because we didn't ever play guess what we're all
doing about we're all here talking about this game that we played but nobody else played
or if we were to talk about music right right if we were to all talk about
about music.
Okay.
I made music.
Uh-huh.
So I can talk about the process of music.
But I'm the manager.
But if you ain't never made music...
Right, but I'm the manager.
I'm just in there.
The other guys was like, what he's talking about?
He don't know.
He ain't never been in his new...
Well, Stephen they can talk to sports there.
That's a lot of people feel the same way, because that's how he felt about Max.
He felt like that about Max.
The same way they feel about Skip.
Ricky Sherman.
Stick in your lane.
Whatever you do, stay the same shit.
So is that what you're saying?
Stick to your lane.
You do stay in your lane.
No.
Or if you're going to talk about the game, talk about what you do, though.
Yes, that's all on.
That's my point, exactly, right?
That's fair.
That's fair.
That's fair.
That's fair.
Speak on agency.
What you're talking about?
Speak on the culture of basketball.
Speak on, but not wins and loss.
Who's good and who's not?
What does Stephen A do?
But isn't that a part of the culture of basketball?
He's a journalist.
He's a journalist?
So you talk about journalism.
He's not.
He's journalism?
To what?
To what?
To what?
To the sport?
So Stephen A, you just journal.
So Stephen A, you just journal.
Skip Bayliss, what do you do?
Journalists, journalists, too.
Oh, Stephen A, you both journalists in 30 years.
You just write type.
That's not journalist.
That's what they said.
That's what they said.
That's what we said.
You don't do shit to resolve sports.
If you ain't did it, don't do it.
That's what the journalist writes about sports.
No, no, no, no, no.
On the newspaper.
That's what we're saying.
If you tell a motherfucker up, you can't step out your box.
You see, and skip, skip, type, tight, journal, newspapers.
40 years.
Say the newspaper, don't put your face nowhere.
If you ever come out and say anything, your ass going back to typewriters.
Are any of you guys still with agents?
Typewriting.
Like, like after basketball?
No, no, no, no, no, I'm just asking the question.
You shoot hoops.
No, no, but, hey, but listen, no, what I'm going to say, you're like,
shut up and dribble.
You can't go nowhere else.
All right, so after basketball, right, you guys.
You fucking train.
So you guys, like, get done with your agent, right?
You guys go separate ways.
Do you guys go separate ways?
Do you guys get a manager?
or a marketing company.
So I transitioned to trying to coach in front of this stuff,
so my agent was helping me with,
I had the same life when I got done plan.
I was trying to transition to the side of it.
So he was helping me with that because he had the relationships.
So the business that we're in now,
I think the business that we all do right now on the couch, right?
If you want a best thing for us to do with,
get your coaching jobs too, would to be able to get a manager.
Yeah.
Because of what we do, because everything that we do now, right,
everything that we do now in our lives are outside of just,
it's basketball, right?
Marketing and ourselves.
It's marketing, right?
So that's why I'm saying.
saying an agent is good for it when you're coming in young boom boom you learn everything
get you right then after that i think the biggest thing is getting your lawyer and then you get
a marketing or a manager company that can help you push you worldwide right like worldwide
like i mean i mean that's just my life the thing you're talking about is entertainment
and that's why i'm talking about yeah you know where i got it if you want to be a coach
i'm not saying it's not bad i'm just saying ray a i told me that to my i know exactly where you
coming from with it. So, but I'm just saying, you know, since we're talking about agents.
But I do agree with all. Agents, if agents are going to do shows, they should talk about what
their business and then talk about the game. But you should just train because you can't
talk about it. What you did with play sports, so you go train some motherfuckers at 24-hour fitness.
You too. I did. You said we go train. That's what you can't talk about. You just got to train.
I'm not training nobody. I'm not training nobody, though. They can't do nothing outside what they
fucking job is. You know what my job is now. Whatever your job is.
Hey, Nick, you know what my job is now?
No, what you are.
I'm a jiggle-o.
You can't be that.
You know what I should be talking about?
No.
Work all day long.
You can't.
I can't.
I can't talk about that.
I'm a fucking expert.
But what we've seen?
All we see you do is who.
Yeah.
But now the podcast is available.
You can now see.
I see you at district training the motherfuckers.
I can show the work.
I can move with the work.
Stick to that.
I can go out here and show you how to mow.
I'm fucking Jigolo.
Yeah, like he said, sing the song.
And Nick Cannon's song.
I'm a diggerlo.
All in a lot, so ready.
I'm a jiggleow, spending lots of dough.
Hey, Nick Kennedy.
He, he, he, he's gone off the rows.
Let's come back.
We have one more thing to discuss.
No, come on, man.
For what?
There's one 30 now.
It's 1.30.
We do.
No, it'll be quick.
My bad.
It'll be quick.
We don't want to talk about them.
Go ahead, man.
We'll talk in basketball.
Orlando Magic.
For what?
We have to fulfill our quarter for the day.
No, we don't.
Talk hoop, man.
Just a little bit of hope and we'll be on our way.
Let's cover the bases, man.
Little hoop will be going our way.
So interstate battle for the NBA Cup opener between the top seed of magic and the four-seated
Heat Orlando was without Fas Wagner, also known as Wagi Wagiwagi, suffered a high-angle
spring Sunday during their loss of the Knicks, but they did have Palo Ban Carroll back in the lineup for his third straight game after missing the previous 10 with a groin injury.
Day after getting fined for unnecessarily beaning O.J. Ananovi with the ball, Desmond Bayne decided to ball out to recoup some of that bread to help send the magic to
Let's take a look at the highlights quickly and then we'll be on our merry way. It was enjoyable basketball, ladies
gentlemen. Two games last night. Shout out to Amazon Prime, a very, very premium offering.
That's what the game was on there. Yeah, the two games on Prime last night for the NBA Cup.
He jumped out to a 15-0 lead to start the game with the magic rally to pull them off.
I'll score Miami 3927 in second quarter. Norr Powell led the heat with 21.7 boards. Tyler
Hero had 20 and 7 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins and Bam out of bio chipping in 19.
18 apiece. But the story of this game was Desmond Bain. Bain tied his season high with 37 points going 14 to 24 from the field, 6 of 9 from distance, along with six rebounds and five assists.
Damn, nice move.
Oh.
Mm.
Nice move.
Hammer time, as they say.
Okay.
Yeah.
Good defense.
Hey.
What is that?
Anthony, I know black.
Vert dribbles?
I mean, vert.
Fuck it.
But like I said, Desmond Bain doing his thing, season high.
and high, 37 points.
Nice.
Good defense.
In the game.
Damn.
15 and that 37 came in the fourth quarter.
Tommy here on me.
Can you see the first play?
Can you see the first play?
The hero move?
Give us one second, Swaggy.
These are things that we're doing.
Hold, let me read this first.
15 at 37 came in the fourth quarter.
Bain disman Leheek defense with a variety of buckets.
Jayland Suggs had 20 on 17 to 13th shooting.
Palo Ban Carroll, 18 and 7.
Ward. Wendell Carter Jr. put up a double-double, 14 to 10. Magic got their third
win over the heat at home this season.
Damn. Miami dropping their four straight game to get eliminated from the cup. So before
we move on, can we show that first play for Swaggy, please? The Swaggy wants to stay here.
I did it wrong.
Ooh, ooh!
Okay.
That's it.
I thought he ran with it like Yannis that one.
Oh, no, no, no.
Okay.
That was a nice move.
That was a nice move.
So after the game, Bain talked about the extra financial motivation. He had to advance the
semis due to the $35,000 finding got from the league for firing a ball off Ananobe.
Oh, it's huge, man.
I mean, I just lost 35,000, so I got to go get it back somehow.
You know what I'm saying?
But I'm excited.
Great opportunity for us to play some meaningful basketball early in the season.
So I know the group's excited.
And for those who haven't seen it, there's a video of the lip reading from him and Ananobee from that.
Why did you do that?
Why did you do that?
I was falling out of bounds.
I said, no, you wasn't.
No, you wasn't.
Stop lying.
I was going out of bounds.
So look at this magic quickly.
You see the lip reading one up?
Magic have a solid young core.
They got two stars in Palo Bain, Carol Franz Wagner,
dishing some strong young talent and a steady score in Bain.
When you look at this team,
they haven't won a playoff series since
2010.
Damn.
Since when?
2010.
Took the Cavs at 7 in 2024, found themselves on the wrong side of a gentleman's sweep.
Was that the White House last year?
Or was he still there?
2010?
2010.
Yeah, I was in the last, my rookie year.
I was still in league.
Shit.
2010.
They were good back then.
They went to the finals that year.
No, that was what.
Yeah, with Courtney Lee.
I think that was Courtney Lee's like rookie.
I think that was Courtney Lee's like rookie year.
They broke the team up bad at that.
So they went to the conference finals that year.
They went to the,
the finals of previous year.
Yeah, I'm about say, okay.
Dwight Howard won defensive player of the year.
Okay, yeah, so I had just got drafted and I was like, yeah, I watched it.
I remember that.
We have not won a playoff series since 2010.
How much faith do you have in the magic to win a playoff series with this roster?
I'm bad.
Don't sleep on this, Orlando.
They're going to win a playoffs there.
We're currently fourth.
Win a playoff series?
Yeah.
Easter conference, just won.
Getting back to the finals and all that.
We're not having a finals talk.
And nobody going to do you know.
I believe currently fourth in the Eastern Conference right now.
Nobody want to go to Universal.
Don't nobody want to do all that family.
They're going to be playing.
They do what they do want to do the family stuff.
But I'm just saying like that days is over.
Universal this weekend, Express Pass.
The way to go.
I'm just letting y'all know.
Ain't anybody going down there.
Mario World, Mississippi.
Universal in Orlando and now has four different things.
They can win a series.
But then after that is.
First of all, if they meet Boston, they lose in the Boston.
So the Cleveland Cavaliers are currently seventh in Adam Silver's
Eastern Eastern Conference.
How much you on the back?
King.
How much you on the back?
They're going to beat the hells.
Call it.
Let's bet a front nine, can you?
Let's bet it.
Top 10 in the east.
That it.
You got the Pistons on the top spot 19 to 5 followed by the Knicks.
Celtics are third, magic fourth, raptors fifth, sixers are sixth, Cavs are seventh, heat or eighth, Hawks are ninth.
Oh, yeah.
They're going to beat the Hawks or...
They can win the first round.
They can get out the first round.
Not they see Boston.
They'll beat Philly.
If they see Boston first round, no way.
Jalen Brown will taking them out by himself.
They won't be.
playing them because they both be like three and four so I mean four or four or five
I mean I mean they can be a four or five they got a damn damn damn man one 15 nine
one 15 to 10 man that's sure it's very good very so not hard it is in Boston they can be
they can be they can be the six they can be the calves seven they can be the calf seven
bum asses bum ass men we know we know what that mean every when the playoffs
come we can't play again they're saying all right yeah
Low management.
But Jamal Jones are doing this thing out there.
You got this squad.
He got a plan.
Anthony Black playing well.
Yeah, y'all.
That's one of the teams I'm talking about that might not be playing well right now.
Yeah.
They can get their momentum going and make it to two.
Yeah.
To be number one for sure.
Obviously gave up a lot to get Desmond Bain, but Desmond Bain brings from a live.
Steady scoring a little, goes a little a while.
When he's average in 22?
He's about 19 the game right now.
As a third option?
At the third?
Hell yeah.
Obviously, Wagi, Wagi and Palibank here are both average in 20 pieces.
Mm.
Mm.
I like them.
I see Orlando, like, two more years.
They need, who's they point guard, fuck?
I want to ask y'all, why is Spoh fucking with the big fella where down there in Miami?
I don't know if y'all paying attention, but he's fucking with the big, the big
fellow who could play like, like Wimby and Chet, and he ain't playing him for some reason.
Oh, that boy.
That boy.
That boy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
For some money or something?
Yeah, I think he up for some bread or something.
They got him in the dog house.
It always goes back to that.
Dog house every time.
Yeah, dog house.
Yeah, trying to get him from cheap.
Trying to get their John to Camino.
Rangor.
I'm going to say trying to get their John at the Camino.
Trying to get him for the low.
For sure.
You can't say nothing to a guy like Spoke because it's like, oh, he's doing his thing, but it's
clearly the Pete Kerr shit.
Last year he was fucking, what for that?
The UCLA kid.
Hamey Hockey, Jr.?
He's still coming off the bench.
You know why that.
Like there's speculation we will not get into.
It's time to go.
Right.
It is.
It's time to go.
But sufficient magic discourse for the day.
Appreciate all you gentlemen.
Gil hope to be back in the arena.
Yeah.
So you know they're going to start speculating on why he wasn't here today.
You y'all know that, right?
As you know, Gil, a man of entry.
Why Gil wasn't here today.
You know, there's no telling him.
They're probably going to make up some shit.
Man of intrigue, it may involve a happy meal, you never know.
You know what I'm saying?
You're going to go visit him?
Yeah, man, the police got him.
I mean, I'm going to say that.
You were supposed to say that.
Out loud.
My fuck, he's on that Googling right now.
Say the police got him.
They got him.
We will allow Gil to tell you where he was when he returns to arena,
but this has been another episode of Gil's Arena,
presented by Underdog.
Whoa!
We'll see y'all tomorrow.
