Episode Date: December 10, 2024

Jimmy Butler's Trade Rumors SHAKE UP Gil's Arena as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew react to the reports that Jimmy Butler & The Miami Heat are exploring trade options and predict what contender... will take a run at Jimmy & what that trade would look like. They then venture to the great city of New York where Gil & the Crew react to Juan Soto's INSANE Contract and decision to leave the New York Yankees for the Mets before breaking down Karl Anthony-Towns' continued success with the New York Knicks, where the Big Bodega is playing like the best big in the NBA's Eastern Conference. Next, Gil's Arena breaks down the up and down season for the Golden State Warriors, reacting to Draymond Green's comments on swapping starting positions with Jonathan Kuminga and debating if the Dubs are leveraging Kuminga's minutes in order to boost his value and move him for a superstar piece to pair with Steph Curry & Draymond. Finally, Gil, Sheryl Swoopes and the rest of the crew react to Time Magazine naming Caitlin Clark the athlete of the year and discuss what this means for the future of women's sports. As always, we got the legend Gilbert Arenas here with us. What's up, Gil? What up? What up? About to become a food critic. Yeah, yeah. You about to make...
Starting point is 00:01:00 I like it. I like it. I don't know if I can. Why? Certain foods mixed together, I'll throw up. I have... My palate is bad. That's why you just do something simple, like we said. Sausage with mayonnaise. What was the... Yeah, that was good. That's nasty. Like, I ate a quesadilla and the cheese
Starting point is 00:01:18 mixed with, like, the barbecue sauce that I ate right before that. Threw all that up. Gross. You put barbecue sauce on the quesadilla? I have a saucepan. I know. Why would you put barbecue sauce on the quesadilla? I have a sauce. I know. Why would you put barbecue sauce on the quesadilla? No, not on the quesadilla. I had chicken wings.
Starting point is 00:01:29 But then you ain't listening. Well, why are you missing? I said the chicken, the barbecue sauce. You didn't say nothing about chicken wings. You didn't say chicken wings. No, I said the barbecue. You said before. You didn't say that.
Starting point is 00:01:36 You said before, but we didn't. Before. He didn't put it all together. I didn't know you was going to ask that question. There was sauce on a particular. Oh. Thank you. Like you were dipping it in the sauce.
Starting point is 00:01:44 It only happens with chicken. We there. Or like I eat it too fast, a particular... Thank you. Like, you're dipping it in the sauce. It only happens with chicken. We there. Like, I eat it too fast, joint wanna come up. I know, it's weird. That's a lot of people. Like, if I'm... Like, let's say... Well, stop eating.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Let's say there's sauce, like, they got ketchup or barbecue sauce and it's been sitting there for, like, 40 minutes, my stomach will start turning. It's just smelling it. I'm with you. Mm. Certain things. Yeah. But, yeah, you got... Stop eating. Well, any who. It tastes so good, I'm black you. Certain things. Yeah. Stop eating. Well, any who.
Starting point is 00:02:05 It tastes so good. I'm black. It is. We got four-time WNBA champion of the world, Cheryl Swoop, back here with us. What? Listen. Oh, wait. You had your photo yesterday. You got your Gills Arena Season 3 merch today.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Oh, you didn't even have to go to gillsarenamerch.com to get it. How do you know I didn't? Oh, damn. I didn't, but I'm just letting you know was about to say, oh, refighting. Because we see your box. Because I was going to ask if they gave you some shit today, but I see they did, so I was going to ask.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Kidding. I was a little bit at a time. A little bit at a time. Another grievance addressed. Another wrong right. I was trying to be petty today. We got it. It's nice, too.
Starting point is 00:02:42 She in there like the WNBA. Yeah. Damn. At's nice too. She in there like the WNBA. Damn. At least I could get some product from the W, though. And we got former number one pick, current number one domino player, Kenya Martin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Yeah. Playing for eyebrows. What he playing for? What he playing for? I bet you. Oh yeah, no, you wanna get it in, I'll play for you, listen, whatever. Playing for eyebrows. What are you playing for? What are you playing for? How about you? Oh, yeah, no, you want to get in, I'll play for you, listen, whatever. What, are you playing for eyebrows?
Starting point is 00:03:09 He playing for eyebrows. Oh, yeah, dude, you talking about me. Want to start stressing over it? Yeah. Yeah, look, people going to walk around like this, or I kid you. I told him to bet his eyebrows, he left. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Playing for eyebrows here in the arena. Oh, yeah. We can play right here on the arena. $100 for eyebrows, like, wow. Playing for eyebrows here in the arena. Oh, yeah. We can play right here on the arena. $100 for eyebrows? Like, man. That $100, yeah. You can't run around. I know. So, like, did he think he was going to beat you?
Starting point is 00:03:36 Is that why he was like, I'll take that bet? Oh, and I just showed them a picture of me shaving somebody out before from playing dominoes. Pay your debts. It wasn't the picture of me shaving somebody out there before from playing dominoes. Pay your debts. It wasn't the picture of the shaving. It was the left hand grip. It was the way he was on them. Ooh!
Starting point is 00:03:52 Yes. Like, don't do it. Don't show ass. I knew he was going to try to renege, right? Listen, the domino, the game wasn't, domino wasn't out of my hand good. I was on him. Gang!
Starting point is 00:04:06 Yeah, he was like, he looked like he don't want the camera, no. His temple, his temple was making his eyes close. He should have waxed him. He should have waxed him. That shit would have hurt. I had no time for him to renege. He just took a regular razor.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Right to his joint. No reneging. Damn. Right? No. For all the fans out there, we still got two viewing options for you. Our traditional version, mobile vertical version.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Pick whichever one you want to watch. Just make sure you support the show. Here's what's cracking in the arena today. The Big Bodega hit a big bucket on the Raptors to endear himself even more to the Knicks faithful. Is Cat the second best big in the East right now? We know the Greek freak got the top spot, but he number two. Draymond Green says he's willing to come off the bench so Jonathan Kaminga can start.
Starting point is 00:04:50 But with reports the Warriors are looking for another starter paired with Steph Curry, will the fourth-year forward be in the Dubs' long-term plans? And Chris Paul passed Jason Kidd to move into second place on the all-time assist list. We're the CP3 rank among the best pure point guards in NBA history. But before we get into all that, as always,
Starting point is 00:05:07 this show is brought to you by Underdog. Download the app, use promo code GILL, you get $1,000 in bonus cash, plus a special pick-em. As for tonight, GILL has some picks up in his partner pack on the Underdog app. Ladies and gentlemen, it's the NBA Cup quarterfinals. Come on, y'all, what y'all think? Dang it, you went, you went.
Starting point is 00:05:24 You got five picks. You got Jalen Suggs under 2.5 three, y'all. What y'all think? Dang it. You went. You went. You got five picks. You got Jalen Suggs under 2.5 three-pointers made. That's... Mo Wagner... Wagner. ...lowered 1.5 first-quarter rebounds. Because he's coming at the end. SGA, higher 41.5 points rebounds assists. He's always gonna give you that 30.
Starting point is 00:05:40 It's a little fluctuation, but see if you can make that happen. Jalen Williams, higher 22.5 points versus the Mavs. And Isaiah Hartenstein, higher 3.5 assists tonight, also against the Mavs. How's everyone feel about Gil's picks? I know one of them up there. You know one of them up there? There's always someone that's good.
Starting point is 00:06:03 There's one betrayal, always. See, I'm only doing those first quarter ones. I just got done watching Jalen Suggs play two consecutive games, and I asked KJ when did Jalen Suggs become a shooter. God damn it. I don't want to break you. I don't want to be the bear. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:18 He was shooting them up, and I thought he was a driver. He was a driver and defender, right? Well, he out there shooting that bitch. So you might not get that one. But he might have a bad game. Making three threes is, you know what I'm saying? You got to make... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Yeah. Yeah, I'm with you. He got to make three for Gil to lose. So that's doable. But I'm just saying he's been shooting the ball well. Yeah, he's been putting him. Yeah. So we asked the chat, are's been shooting the ball well. Yeah, he's been shooting a lot. Yeah. So we asked the chat, are you riding or fading Gil's picks?
Starting point is 00:06:49 Wait. I don't know. He's going to make three. 68% said they're fading. Gil, they are not rolling with your partner pack tonight. If you are rolling with the dough, you can win close to 15 times your bread on the underdog. 15 times.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Just take insurance. Yeah, that Mo Wagner joint. He comes in at the end, right? His brother out. But how many minutes. He comes in at the end, right? His brother out. But how many minutes? He comes in at the end, but how many minutes? But his brother out, though. How many?
Starting point is 00:07:10 Yeah, but Franz and Paolo out? Franz and Paolo. Yeah, so come on, Gil. That's why you got to watch the magic. I don't know about that one. With the same injury. That's just crazy. That oblique, that torn oblique, that's
Starting point is 00:07:21 some suspicions going on in Orlando. But I'm just saying, it's... So Suggs has four made threes in each of his last three games. The bottom three, I'm good with. The first two... Oh, they don't have them starting. They still don't have them starting, though. They didn't? Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:35 But we'll see. You may get some luck. If you like these picks and want to rival them. I went into the play-by-play and everything. Yeah. Head to the other doghouse. When does he come in? I'm with you now.
Starting point is 00:07:48 I'm saying it could be a good, yeah, if you come in the game late to get two rebounds late. But we shall see. He is a big. NBA Cup. I just thought about it. He is a big. Since I didn't watch, I don't watch Magic.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Yeah, obviously they gonna. Told you. They gonna get me. Add them to your league pass. They're going to get me. God damn it. Add them to your league pass. But as always, we do mostly. I got the Disney package, man.
Starting point is 00:08:12 We do mostly at the end of every show. If you drop a good question in the chat with your underdog username, and we use it on this program, $50 bonus to your underdog account. If you send us a video, mostlyfansgill at gmail.com, and we use that video on the show, $100 bonus to your account. If you can't watch the show with us live on YouTube, we got audio versions available on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcasts. So, yes, we are predominantly a basketball show,
Starting point is 00:08:30 but there's a baseball player who just signed for so much bread, we can't ignore it here on Gil's Arena. That's right, Juan Soto, the 26-year-old Dominican outfielder who led the Yankees to the 2024 World Series. And as you may recall, they got smacked by the Dodgers in the 2024 World Series, and as you may recall, they got smacked by the Dodgers in the 2024 World Series. But nonetheless, Juan Soto just signed a 15-year, $765 million deal with the crosstown rival Mets. That is $51 million per season for the next 15 years.
Starting point is 00:08:58 That's crazy. The largest deal in pro sports history. There are no deferrals in the contract either. And not to pocket watch, but Soto's contract averages out to $4.25 million per month, $140,000 a day. $140,000
Starting point is 00:09:13 a day. Close to $6,000 an hour. $100 a minute, $1.62 every single second for the next 15 years. But here's the crazy part, Gil. It could get even bigger. Reports also indicate Soto can opt out
Starting point is 00:09:28 after the 2029 season, but the Mets can void that opt-out by giving Soto a $4 million annual raise of $55 million per year for the remaining 10 years of the deal. That would bring the deal to $805 million total. Damn. Well, you said...
Starting point is 00:09:46 I know blood! It may go... I may. You know what time it is. I can get at least 20 bucks deal. I can get at least 20. Damn. You said 140 what?
Starting point is 00:09:56 Sorry, Sean. I had to do that. $147,000 a day? $140,000 a day. $140,000 a day. $139,626. A day. In three cents.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Don't forget the three cents. Oh, no. It makes sense now. I see why black people want to be drug dealers. Oh, no. Because if this is impressive, they were making, what, a million dollars a day? Some people. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Freeway Ricky Ross, come talk to him, brother. Come talk to him, man. Man, just come talk to yourself. Come talk to him, man. Come talk to him and just... Wow. Listen, just consult me. Whatever CIA agent you had, I know he got a son who's following in his footsteps, brother.
Starting point is 00:10:38 God damn, I'm sorry. This is impressive. What y'all did is impressive. I don't know how Juan Soto got translated to the dope. That's nine times this. Nine times this. A day. It's not a 15-year runway, though, Gil.
Starting point is 00:10:57 You might get about three. Three years. Three years. Three years, a billionaire. Cool. So is any of that guaranteed? Do they have guarantees? That bread is guaranteed.
Starting point is 00:11:07 All guaranteed. Baseball janky salary cap doesn't really exist. You can do whatever you want. I'm sitting on my phone the other day, came across my thing. It was like the other evening, right? It was almost bedtime for my son, right? Wow.
Starting point is 00:11:19 She came across the thing. I said, hey, come on, I'm about to go to the bathroom. Hey, get that blue flame out. Get that blue flame out. Get that blue flame out, baby. You heard it enough. Dead ass jack. Oh, yeah. I think that number is equal to currently what Tom Brady and LeBron have made in their total careers.
Starting point is 00:11:39 LeBron will surpass that in the next couple of years. But it's a couple million dollars more than what Tom Brady and LeBron made over the lifetime of their contract. And they played for 20 years. Wow. At this point. Wow. LeBron, you're 22. I know black.
Starting point is 00:11:51 40 years worth of sports. 15 years. I mean, that's a long contract, right? That's good for baseball. Yeah, so he's 26 right now, but baseball, you can play a lot longer. If he sees through the whole life of the contract. He's 26. He's 41. He's 41.
Starting point is 00:12:05 He's still getting. Huh? He's 41 at the end of it. But have others pointed out that Brad might be different by then. No, that's what I'm saying. Would that be considered a good deal by the time he gets to. Probably not, but that's why in that five-year window. Okay, but right now, guess what?
Starting point is 00:12:20 It's a hell of a deal. Because I'm like, you know, if he's 26 by 31, he'd be a whole different player. So his value would be way more than it. I mean, it has the potential in baseball. We'll see in the next five, ten years who's getting billion dollars. They don't have opt-outs
Starting point is 00:12:37 in basketball. Like, 15 years, opt-out after five, another opt-out after ten. So he can opt-out after 2029, but then the Mets could say, slow down, playboy, here's four more million dollars a year for the next ten years, so extra 40 mil on that deal. Five years? Six years? Five years? Yeah, but that, I mean, just mathematically,
Starting point is 00:12:58 I mean, if he's, I mean, obviously he's that dude. Five years from now, most likely he'll have an MVP while he's that dude. Five years from now, most likely he'll have an MVP while he's that. Adding four more million per year is not even, that's just like. But there's definitely probably bonuses and shit in there. Well, that financial security right now though, I got 765.
Starting point is 00:13:18 But you're not gonna sign it? Oh no, no, what? Sign it. You know what I mean? I ain't say that, King of the Day. I'm looking at eight years from now, what it's going to be. No, I'll just take the $10 million.
Starting point is 00:13:28 I'll wait. I'll wait. Just give me the two. How much are they? $140,000? A day? That's what I was just watching. The BM and all that. I was like, I'll make a million dollars a day. He's like, okay.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Is that $365 million making a million dollars a day. I'm like, OK. Wow. But he was having that. Is that $365 million a year? Wait a minute. But he wasn't. That's where that came up at. Like, damn. Yeah. But.
Starting point is 00:13:53 I'm saying of that million, I'm saying them dudes probably keeping $200,000. They were shipping the eight. The rest of that, that other eight was going, no, it was going back to. Back to the government. No, no. The debates, yes. The government, absolutely, it was going back to... Back to the government. No, no. Yes, government, absolutely, of that field.
Starting point is 00:14:09 And let's go fund another war in another country. But... Damn. Yeah, crazy to hear. And producers reminded me, Magic signed that 25-year, $25 million deal back in the day. He got out of it the first year, right? And that was crazy, but sounded great.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Because Chris Webber signed, what, a $99 million deal for 10 years, and after the first year, he got out of that. Right? Something like that. Let me double-check. Them number-one pick deals used to be crazy. Yeah. But the problem with it is,
Starting point is 00:14:39 it seemed like it was bad for them because they were signing nine 10-year deals, and that, like Big Dog, that was his only contract, that rookie deal. That rookie deal, right. Those were crazy back in the day. What was Big Dog, like 8 for 64, something crazy like that? Yeah, yeah, that was it.
Starting point is 00:14:55 I remember. So naturally, Yankees fans were in their feelings after Soto relocated to a different borough. So we saw a similar move last season after Shohei Otani dipped from the Angels to join the Dodgers and helped lead them to the World Series title, as you may recall,
Starting point is 00:15:10 against those same New York Yankees that Soto left. But how tough is it to lose a superstar to a rival team? All right, that's... I don't know if... What's his name? Juan Soto. Where he from? Dominican. I know black.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Amazing. Right? He don't give a fuck about your rivalry. He wants his money. Right? I still live in New York. I don't have to move. Like, Ohtani, like, he's not from here. He don't give a fuck about who's who. Not at all. Right?
Starting point is 00:15:45 Who got me the money? That's it, right? I don't care. Just give me my money. Yeah. So we see... Y'all figure that shit out. We've seen tons of Mets go to the Yankees on the other side,
Starting point is 00:15:55 so now it's kind of flipping. But it feels like, obviously, the Yankees, or the Lakers of New York, miss more closer to the Clippers. But who would get this type of contract if there was no salary cap in the NBA? Right now? Right now?
Starting point is 00:16:16 Damn. I'm gonna say Nikola. I'm gonna say Jokic, Giannis. Giannis. Luka? Yeah. Yeah. Probably. Huh? I said probably. Luca. Yeah, Luca, Giannis, and Nicola.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Would you throw Wimby into that mix? What's so funny is if he was up... Not yet. If he was up... If he was up... You gonna do it just because? Yeah, because you gotta lock him in. So, yeah, because he's that kind of a talent. Mm-hmm. Yeah, you're not going to, you're not going to, you're not even going to negotiate, like,
Starting point is 00:16:48 and fuck around and lose them to the Mets. Yeah. I can see Tatum, Tatum are not stuck, because then Brown's going to get it too. It's enough for them. Yeah. It's, yeah, we said we wouldn't win. It's enough for them guys around.
Starting point is 00:17:01 We got them generational guys that's. That's just a lot of money. Well, shout out to Juan Soto. Dang, that's crazy. Yes. That's crazy. So we're going to keep showing love to the Dominican Republic. There was only one game played in the NBA last night as the Knicks went up to Toronto to take on the Raptors.
Starting point is 00:17:17 Let's take a look at a few highlights. So every Knicks starter scored in double figures in this one. Nice back goal. Good pass. Knicks had a scare when Jalen Brunson had to leave the game briefly with an ankle injury after accidentally stepping on the foot of a Raptors fan courtside. That's happened a couple times with Jalen, right? He's like, shit, bro.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Get that ankle insurance. But Brunson would eventually return and finish the game with 20 points, 11 assists on 7 for 13 shooting in 35 minutes. Carol Breedis had an efficient 23 points on 9 for 14 shooting, including 5 for 8 from 3, adding on to a hot stretch of games he's been on recently. And showing love to the Dominican, the big bodega, Carl Anthony Towns returned to the lineup
Starting point is 00:17:53 after missing the previous game with a sore right knee. He showed out once again, dropping 24 points, 15 boards, and 6 assists on 7 for 13 shooting. Bam! With the Knicks holding the two point lead in the game on the line. Hit this big three with six seconds remaining. That had him doing every classic Knicks selly known to man.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Melos three to the dome, followed by the classic John Stark showing the New York jersey on his jersey to the road fans. Cat could also be seen telling someone in the crowd, "'Hey, hey, next time, ho-ass n-word. Towns has become a go-to guy for the Knicks on a
Starting point is 00:18:30 night-in, night-out basis. I can't find me. That's what he said. Just merely repeating, hey, hey, next time. He was turnt up. So Cat's averaging 25.1 points, a career-high 13.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists this season, while shooting a career-high 45% from deep.
Starting point is 00:18:45 And his 20 double-doubles are the second most in the league behind Sabonis. So I've got to ask you, has Cap played like the best big in the East besides Giannis so far this season? Yeah. So number two in East? Number two big man in Adam Silver's Eastern Conference.
Starting point is 00:19:03 25-13. It's not really hard to do. What is... I mean, he's only played five games, so that don't matter. Who? Ben Chero. Yeah, Paolo. What is he?
Starting point is 00:19:15 He's a three. Yeah. Three, four, one, two. Fuck it, fuck it. Three, four, four, three. He's big, though. He's big. But he's not a big.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Not a big. Yeah, because Giannis is leading the league in scoring. Yeah, Giannis. And he's averaging, like, 12. And shooting over 61%. Like, 61% from the field or some shit. Probably in discussion for best big in the league. Obviously, if Joker wasn't doing what Joker's doing.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Still in the argument for it. Yeah, yeah. Still not, it's not even, no. Yeah, so. It's not really, yeah. We'll see, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Now he's been playing like,
Starting point is 00:19:56 you know, you put him in the conversation, he's in the conversation, best big in the league, not just in East. That's crazy that you can be considered soft your whole career, right? And then you go to a city where they eat soft alive and he's thriving. Yes. Are you surprised at all to see that?
Starting point is 00:20:17 I've seen a lot less pressure. There's nobody on the planet. You've got to play a certain way. Huh? You've got to play a certain way. You put that jersey on, though. I know,, nobody on the planet. You gotta play a certain way. Huh? You gotta play a certain way. You put that jersey on, dog. I know, and that's the problem. No one thought, like, mentally, like,
Starting point is 00:20:30 he would be able to stand, you know, New York's, you know, pressure. Heaven forbid he have a bad month. Yeah. Then we'll see. Yeah. The bad months. He have a bad stretch. Then we'll see. When they got him on the back of that post,
Starting point is 00:20:50 they made a meme out of it. Absolutely, the big bodega. They got people that came up with some fancy cartoon of him. But sometimes a change is what you need. New York City rats at the cat or some shit like that. And I'll just say New York. It'll be something crazy. They'll come up with something, trust me.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Change his name from cat to rat. Yeah. I'm just like, no. But he's been playing well, but no. So when you put that Knick jersey on, man, it just... We know how it can get in there. Mm-hmm. All right?
Starting point is 00:21:22 We know how it can get in there. So you have to adapt to it or... Yeah. And, Gil, you've talked about what it's like going into Madison Square Garden on the visiting team. Amazing. But, Kenyon, for yourself, what was it like putting on that Knicks jersey and playing for New York fans in the Garden? I'm the wrong person to ask, dog. I'm just being honest.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yeah. Because I play like they like. You know what I'm saying? So I don't, it wasn't like I put the Knicks jersey on and I started playing hard. Like, no. Right? You play a good system, but just. Yeah, but getting love, like, even when I played for the Nets.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Right? I used to get love from the Knicks fans. Right? My first four was over there. So it was getting love from them then. And then just happened to put that jersey on now. And my mother was like, man, I'm glad you're on our side now. I'm glad you're on.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Because, man, I would love to know my four years with the Knicks, how many times we lost to the Knicks. It might have been. Please look that up, Steve. Yes, sir. My first four years, how many times we lost to the Knicks? Not often. More so.
Starting point is 00:22:28 But so, but for people to have in question about how hard you play, how people called you soft and all that, and for you to, so far this season, be able to change the narrative that people have had of you, it's great for him. But no, for me, it was, shit, it change the narrative that people have had of you, it's great for him. But no, for me, it was, shit, it's the way I play every night. So it was never going to be a chance for you to boo me or tell me
Starting point is 00:22:53 it just wasn't going to ever happen. Because for one, my game is never predicated on making shots or missing shots. I'm just saying that. I've never been built on that. I'm going to go out and we're going to lace them up and every possession is going to mean something.
Starting point is 00:23:09 So he's to that point now. He's averaging. Leading the league in rebounding. So it's coming out. And sure, how impressive just to see Cat playing in Minnesota, no pressure, now in New York. Taking that responsibility, joining the star in Jalen Brunson,
Starting point is 00:23:27 who literally Knicks were his squad last year. I think it's, and I said this just a second ago, sometimes that's all you need is, like, a fresh start. And going to New York is, I think everybody knows it, the pressure that you're going to be under. And Cat's like, I don't want to hear that. I don't want to see it. I don't want to be a part of it.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I think it's impressive. And then you have Jalen Brunson, who probably welcomed him with open arms. And to me, Jalen Brunson's a really, really good leader and good teammate for Cat to be able to play with, to play alongside. And I think Cat's having a hell of a season right now. He is balling.
Starting point is 00:24:09 And, Kane, you asked what your record was versus the Knicks, your first four seasons with the Nets. You were 10-3 versus the Knicks in your first four. Sweeping the playoffs. So, what, 14-3? Okay, okay. So, they loved you. Okay, sweet.
Starting point is 00:24:21 Yeah, so, like, the point I was... 11-3? 14-3, including playoffs. 15. Four games. What? like the point I was- 11 and three? 14 and three including playoffs. 15. Hmm? Four games. What? 11. No, so he was 10 and three. 10 and three in the regular season.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Regular season 10 and three you had the playoffs. You swapped them for 14 and three. Yeah we brought Broom out and foot the ass. Oh I had 36 and like 13 and five, game four. On they floor in the garden. Who was on that team? Was that the Eddie Curry team? No it was before him.
Starting point is 00:24:45 It was the old niggas. My bad. In the playoffs? I thought you said Knicks. No, I said old niggas. I did too. Okay. I said it was the old niggas.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Okay, that's... It's three. But thank you for clarifying. Who was on that team? Who was on that team? One more time to sweep it. We can sweep the... Kurt, the big, the guards was Penny, Steph.
Starting point is 00:25:03 Penny. Oh, that team. Penny, Steph. Penny, Steph, Omar, Steph. Oh, that team. Penny, Steph. Penny, Steph, Omar, Bird. Oh, wow. Kirk Thomas, Nazi Muhammad, Shandon, and the legend. And they had a lot of bigs. Legend.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Yeah, yeah. I remember that Shandon and that. Vin Baker. They had Vin, they had Othello Harrington. Yeah, yeah. Shout out Othello. They had a bunch of bigs. Whole bunch of undersized.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Yeah. Ooh, Mike Sweeney. Ooh, the legend. Man, he was nice. Yo, they was rotating me. A killer. You was getting them in foul trouble? Busting their ass.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Yo. They just kept rotating the man, huh? Busting their ass. So they tried to put small guys on me, Shandon. Man, listen, it is. But to my point I was making, if you play the way we played then and how certain guys that put their uniform on, they adapt to you. They gravitate towards a certain kind of playground basketball, right? They like for you to play like you're playing outside. of playground basketball, right?
Starting point is 00:26:05 They like for you to play like you playing outside, right? You know, the only flaw of a Knick fan is they love basketball, right? No matter who playing. That's the negative. Yes. It doesn't matter who is giving them the great basketball. It's the problem because imagine you a Nick point guard, right?
Starting point is 00:26:34 And Steph Curry's coming in there. Steph Curry hits a few threes. Nick fans is, oh shit, it's a gonna be a, so they cheering. This motherfucker fucked up. Like yo, wait a minute. No, I was there. I was there. But that's what it is.
Starting point is 00:26:53 What is the score on us, 55? 54. 54. Who's Steph? Oh, breakout game, absolutely, I was there. I witnessed it like firsthand. These, absolutely, sorry, first goddamn hand. That little ice game over, caught fire in, these, absolutely. Sorry, first goddamn hand.
Starting point is 00:27:05 It look like skin of a guy. Caught fire in that bitch, man. But that's what I'm saying, it's- And they got the going in there for him, like he at home. And like he was at Oracle. Yep. Better than Oracle.
Starting point is 00:27:18 You know what I'm saying? It was like he was at Oracle. I know. It felt a little bit better, and it was, hey, so to your point, absolutely. Like I used to just see it on their face when a star player gets in, you got a guard, they guard the dude, and that dude like,
Starting point is 00:27:30 hell yeah, ha-ha, buck it. Started walking down the fence, like, it's like, no, y'all don't know how to be fans. This is not how you do it. You're supposed to be booing that man. Fuck him. Fuck him and his jersey. Amen.
Starting point is 00:27:47 It's supposed to be cheering. They will turn on you. They'll turn on you and cheer for the Steph Curry. Yeah, you can't do that. You can't do that. I know you enjoy the greatness of the game itself because you're a purist, but there's not... No.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Treat them like Trey Young. As you point out, you were at that game, what was it, February 27, 2013. Steph, 54 points, seven assists, six rebounds. He was 18 for 28 from the field, 11 for 13 from three. Three. Isn't that good?
Starting point is 00:28:23 Yo, man. Damn. He in and out behind the back and front of our bench. But Nick's got the win, though. Boom, boom, and dog. And shot that. I was like, who is this? You know, right?
Starting point is 00:28:38 I was like, man, that was my first time seeing him up close. I was like, hey, man, this boy finna change this. So we asked the chat, is Cat the second best big in the East after Giannis? 65% said yes. 28% said no. But 6% said he's better than Giannis.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Okay. New York fans, I respect it. Absolutely. Stay with y'all. It's okay to be delusional. Who would be the other person? I don't know. Who would be second? I don't know. That's why I was like, who? The 28% is going off of?
Starting point is 00:29:09 Who's the second? Oh, yeah. You asked question. Yeah, and I wouldn't get that answer. Mobley? I shot a lot of free throws that day. Damn. Huh?
Starting point is 00:29:20 No, Mobley's still not taking the whole lead. He just, yes, but. Mobley, yeah. He got to get out there. He ain't really. Yes. He ain't really playing. Yes, but he's not.
Starting point is 00:29:32 I mean, that's like voters. He's hurt, but he's still playing. So, yep. We know Embiid is him. You're not wrong. Right? The couple games he has played, he was 34, and then he had played the other day, he had 19 in the second.
Starting point is 00:29:48 So, no, it's... Not wrong. Not wrong at all. But he got to be out there. All right. Cat has been available. And the most important ability is available. That's what somebody say, yeah. Embiid, you're like, yeah, but come on. Come on.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Yeah. He ain't been playing a lot. We ain't even factor him in. No, we can't at this point. He wasn't even optioned. Not on. Yeah. He ain't been playing a lot. We ain't even factored him in. We can't at this point. He wasn't even optioned. Not at this season. So, Cheryl, you brought up Jalen Brunson, so let's give some love to Jalen Brunson.
Starting point is 00:30:12 After being dubbed the king in New York for leading the Knicks to a second place finish in the East and making his first all-star in all NBA teams last season, Brunson took a pay cut this summer to help the Knicks build a championship-level roster, has sacrificed his own stats and potential individual accolades for the good of the team this season.
Starting point is 00:30:27 So after averaging 29-7 in four rebounds last season, Brunson averaging 25, career-high eight assists, three rebounds so far this season. He's taken four less shots per game, but shooting a career-high 43% from deep. So how much credit does Jalen Brunson deserve for sacrificing his own individual numbers for the good of the team? What?
Starting point is 00:30:47 Yeah. Go ahead, Gil. Is he sacrificing? Yeah, I heard everything you said, but. He averaged eight assists? The majority of that was without Randall. What was he shooting when Randall was there? Oh, let me pull it up.
Starting point is 00:31:01 You know, so that's. Yeah, but he is averaging eight assists though. So he is averaging eight assists. So. Huh? He is averaging eight assists, so that's a career high, so... You want to see what Julius Randall last season? Yeah, what he was averaging when Julius Randall,
Starting point is 00:31:12 because, you know, if there was another player there, it seems like he does, you know... He will defer, but I'm just saying coming off of a second team all-NBA season, trajectory or scoring
Starting point is 00:31:22 should be going this way. It's my team, my run. But he still can make it doing this, though. Yeah. That's a selfish player doing that. Yeah. It's my team. I still can make it doing this though. That's a selfish player doing that. Yeah. So he can still, he still can make second team average of 25 and eight.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Yeah. So with round 25, last season. So two more assists. So last season it was 27, seven assists, four rebounds at 44 games. Oh,
Starting point is 00:31:41 so last year. Okay. So yeah. So two less points. So he still can make all NBA doing this. Yeah. So he is yeah, so. Yeah, my bad. So two less points. So he still can make an All-NBA doing this. Yeah. So he is an All-NBA average of 25 and 8. Yep.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely All-NBA player. Yeah. So now this is. But that's the point of it. When your team gets better, your numbers are supposed to go down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Absolutely. You have to factor, like, people don't factor that in. Yeah. Absolutely. You have to fact, like, people don't factor that in. Like, if I'm averaging 35 by myself, and then you add two people, and I'm averaging 26, I didn't get worse. I got better people with me. You got better people around you. Because if I try to average 35, goddammit,
Starting point is 00:32:18 I'm selfish as a bitch. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So Sheryl, you play, I'm not calling the Knicks super team, but you played on the super team, won four trips in the WNBA. How were y'all able to come together?
Starting point is 00:32:28 And was there any conversations about who's getting shots or whatever, or was it just natural flow of the game? No, it wasn't a conversation. It was- It was three people shooting the ball. Yeah, I mean, it wasn't a conversation of, all right, so tonight it's your turn, tomorrow is your turn.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I mean, we just played basketball. Like, at the end of the day, for us, it was about, like, winning. It was about getting another championship. It was about getting another ring. So if you got an average 30 this season, then you average 30. But it also wasn't just about the scoring, right? Like, we played both ends of the floor, and I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:09 It was just different. And number 14 shot the ball, number 22 shot the ball, number 7 shot the ball. But the other players on the team, though, understood what their role was on that team. Yeah. Go! Go, Cheryl. You got her.
Starting point is 00:33:31 You got her. You got her. No. But you know, but yeah. Need some water? No, it wasn't. It wasn't. Yeah, I'm on.
Starting point is 00:33:42 What is that? I'm like, they had a marathon, right? She run down the side of the court with like, ah. Soon as she could, because you know they didn't have fans. And they didn't have fans in your stadium because it's WNBA. They didn't have what? Fans, air conditioning. Doing it, girl.
Starting point is 00:33:58 That's what he was saying. No, I just assumed. I'm just assuming that if the NBA had air conditioning, y'all probably just had. Don't assume. Don't assume. Mm-mm. Don't assume.
Starting point is 00:34:11 No, I'm just laughing because we see today, like, the NCAA men's locker rooms, and then they got, like, the two, three weights in the closet. That was during the pandemic. That was some years ago. Four. When they got weights in the closet. That was during the pandemic. That was some years ago. Four. When they got called out. Four, that was four.
Starting point is 00:34:30 So imagine doing something like that. I don't understand what you're laughing at. Phil, I don't know. I'm laughing at... You were with them striking distance. You were well with them. I'm waiting for the explanation. No, I'm like, you can just only imagine like,
Starting point is 00:34:44 damn, they probably had no AC. Because he got some good looking eyebrows. Oh, we're going to take those eyebrows. One on one for Gil's eyebrows. He got some real good looking eyebrows. So y'all had AC, so we can just get that up, yeah? Well, we played in the same facility
Starting point is 00:35:00 that the Rockets played in. So if they had AC, we had AC. OK. Go ahead. No, no. the Rockets played in, so if they had AC, we had AC. Okay. Go ahead. No, no. This is the Clippers, then I would have to question that. The Clippers back in the 90s. YMCA.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Yeah. The local YMCA. The Clippers don't have a team. Nail on the wall. But let's take, so last season versus this season. So last season, Nick, shooting stats. Brunson led the team 21 shot attempts a game. Randall was second with 18.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Audrey Barrett had 15. Dante DiVincenzo had 12. This season, Brunson, 17 shot attempts per game. Cats at 17 as well. Brunson, 17.3.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Cats, 16.8. McHale Bridges, close to 15. OG and Inovi, close to 14. But it seemed like, you know.
Starting point is 00:35:43 It's a balanced team. Yeah, it's dope. That they're all rocking and rolling with each other. I mean, they're gonna be dangerous at the end because, you see, Mikael is, like, hitting the shots now, especially from the D-ball, so... I did pick them. They should. I mean, they should be all right. Like, really.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Like, it's just matchups when they get to the playoffs. So if they're clicking at the right time, they can upset anybody. And you guys, they're going to expose the matchups. Yeah. Whoever it is, because shot distribution is there for a guy to get it going. Yeah. Right? And any given day, we know what Catty gonna do,
Starting point is 00:36:25 we know what Jalen gonna do, but the way them guys getting 12 a night, 13 a night, 14 a night, like that's, they can get it going and that can turn into the 17, 18 a night going 15 for 17 and shit like that. So it's... Yeah, you're talking about like, even in like a, let's say like a grinded out playoff series, you know, you have like a Mikael Bridges, who's, you know talking about like even in like a, let's say, like a grinded-out playoff series, you know,
Starting point is 00:36:46 you have like a Mikael Bridges who's, you know, third option. He can fuck around and take over the series because, you know, he's the equalizer. So you brought Mikael Bridges. Let's talk about Mikael Bridges a little bit. OG, yeah. So in five December games, Mikael Bridges averaging 22 points on 56% shooting from the field, 45% from three.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Looking more like the player the Knicks acquired from Brooklyn this offseason. So, Gil, what changes for the Knicks when Bridges is a weapon offensively? Nothing changes. When you look at his shots, he took good shots. They just wasn't going in. He's just glad he stayed confident in his ability. It's only going to improve there moving forward. Um, you know, he's just glad he stayed confident, you know, in his ability. It's only going to improve there moving forward.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Do you think, you know, we saw some issues with the shot mechanics before season, preseason. Do you think that's improving? Is that behind him? No. It's going to be an up-and-down, you know, season for it, right? It's, you know, beginning of the season kind of looked good. Then it fell off. Now it's back to good. You know, there's going to be, you know, five, ten games where it looks bad again, right?
Starting point is 00:37:49 And it's just trying to make that shot consistent for him, you know, from now moving to the rest of his career. Ken, you like what you're seeing from Mikael Bridges? Oh, yeah. In this recent stretch? We knew he could play. It was just the thing, why did he mess with his shot, was the question. We knew he could play. It was just the thing why did he mess with his shot was the question. We knew he could play.
Starting point is 00:38:09 We knew it was doable. We knew he was going to play a lot of games and a lot of minutes. Yeah. So, no, I mean, he's been the player. Like you said, he's been the player who the Knicks thought they were getting when they traded for him over the summer. So, no, it is working in their favor to the point I don't think they're missing Dante DiVincenzo too much.
Starting point is 00:38:30 He's filling that void. Yeah, nah, man, they gonna be all right, man. Like, they're a force to be reckoned with. And they still getting a guy coming back, you know what I'm saying, Mitchell Robinson, still coming back, which is gonna help. He might have to come off the bench, which is good for them.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Who? Mitchell Robinson. I don't think you start him. You don't think so? You mess up the chemistry with them guys. Like, there's too many games now. I'm saying, Cat playing the five, you're playing well at the five. You're thriving at the five.
Starting point is 00:39:01 So I wouldn't disrupt that. Because it changes the way you play. What if you're on one of those... If you put him in the starting lineup? Yeah, it changes the way you play. Because you're playing the five now, you're playing OG and Inouye at the four. So, it just changes the way you play.
Starting point is 00:39:16 I think with the starting lineup. That's just my opinion. You think they do what most coaches do? Wait till one of those four-game, five-game skids, and be like, oh, no, we going to switch it up, you know? Oh, yeah, then you do it. Oh, then you do it, right? Then you do it. But to throw him in, he's supposed to come back soon, right?
Starting point is 00:39:35 So he's soon. So they're playing well. Cat is playing well. I think it just disrupts the chemistry that they've built so far this year with that five. It's been the same five, so it's... So we're going to talk a little Raptors, too. On Raptors' side of things, their all-star Scottie Barnes left the game after a collision with Carl Anthony Towns. Did not return. We have the video.
Starting point is 00:40:00 So Barnes is on the ground at one point mouthing the words, I can't feel my foot, which he said several times. He was not able to put any pressure on that ankle as he left the court. Barnes received clean x-rays on his ankle. Monday will be reevaluated today. So he missed 11 games earlier this season due to a right orbital fracture, which is why you're seeing him wearing the goggles. But how cautious should the Raptors be with Scottie Barnes?
Starting point is 00:40:23 7-18 right now, not a ton to play for, but... Yeah, he said he can't feel his foot, so why they worry about his ankle? That's my thought. He didn't say, I can't feel my leg! It makes sense. I'm a logical guy, man.
Starting point is 00:40:42 Sorry. No, he just said, I can't feel my foot. Right? He said, I can't feel my foot. Right, he said, he's saying I can't feel my foot. I saw the ankle as part of. At least they were still there. It's a part of, you can x-ray the ankle. I get that, but they're giving us the points on his ankle when he didn't say his ankle was.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Is that Achilles? No, he said he was grabbing his foot. He said, I can't feel my foot. I can't feel my foot. You know what I'm saying is like, for like, like think about it, it's like if his Achilles went out and you know, he's trying to wiggle his foot. Yeah. He can't.
Starting point is 00:41:10 You know what I'm saying? I can't feel it. I dig it. And what it could be that too. So I have a question. Could be. Right. So he cracked his orbital bone, right?
Starting point is 00:41:18 And he wearing them goggles. No, if you get hit again, that ain't gonna stop a motherfucking thing. Them goggles? No. Ain't gonna stop shit. The goggles. Hell no. Got my nose broken, got hit in my shit again. Listen, Jack, man, listen, I'm gonna go sit the fuck down.
Starting point is 00:41:33 They didn't give you the Zorro mask? That's what you need, the Zorro mask. Played in that motherfucker's brain. Yeah, but even wearing that, if you get hit again... How uncomfortable? I know Kobe wore it for a show. How uncomfortable is that Zorro mask? I tried not to wear it, and they told me I can't play. I uncomfortable? I know Kobe wore it for a show. How uncomfortable is that? I tried not to wear it, and they told me I can't play. I just imagine how hot and sweaty it gets underneath it.
Starting point is 00:41:49 I tried not to wear it, and they told me I couldn't play. So you said, all right, I'll wear it. Yeah, I'll wear it. That shit bad. But it ain't gonna stop me. I never had to wear goggles. But does that mess with your vision? The mask did.
Starting point is 00:42:03 But I couldn't imagine. I wasn't wearing no goggles. The regular goggles? You're not a goggle guy? What? That's disgusting work. You look disgusting. That's the only person.
Starting point is 00:42:16 I'm talking about the look. Only person that did work in goggles was Amari Stoudemire. Facts. In Korea, right? As much as you saw what he did when he got registered with Free Tho. Pulled them bitches up.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Yeah, he did. Uh-huh, shit, fuck it. Pulled them bitches down. They didn't have goggles. Kareem. Kareem didn't play in goggles. Kareem, my bad, Cap. I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:42:36 My bad, I forgot about Cap. I mean, he made it look good for people to try it again. Did he though? You know, like. No, I don't know. But he had the old, them joints was like. I'm just saying, but he was still giving people work with the again. Did he, though? You know, like, he had the old, them joints was like. I'm just saying, but he was still giving people work with the goggles?
Starting point is 00:42:48 Them joints, yeah. Did he start with goggles? When did he start? I think he got something to the eye. What year? What year? Yeah, yeah, but goggles disgusting. Went to UCLA, because I thought he spent,
Starting point is 00:43:00 I thought he went to UCLA and he spent a ton of time in the Jules Stein Eye Center. Like, he had to, sit in the dark. In college? Let me double check. Oh, so he came from college. That's when he started wearing them? Huh?
Starting point is 00:43:09 Amari didn't go to college. No, no. Not Amari. We're talking about Kareem. Oh, I'm sorry. Well, you're the Kareem. Oh, wait. I thought he started wearing them.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Fingering on his eye from Don Nelson suffered a corneal abrasion. Who? Kareem. Kareem. In the pros. I think 74, 75, I believe. Yeah, he was in the pros. Yeah, OK. So 74, 75, I believe. Yeah, he was in the... Yeah, that's...
Starting point is 00:43:26 So he was already MVP's in the... Yeah, he was... But getting... Yeah, nah. Yeah, we can't warn him in the 70s. He got the goggles on. That's disgusting. I... Because you're wearing all kind of nails, people slapping up. If you put goggles on, man, I'm going to just be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Your chances of being the dude is very slim, man. It's just very slim. Question for the couch. Would you- Very slim. Would you rather wear goggles for an entire season? I'd rather wear knee brace, motherfucker. Would you rather wear goggles for an entire season or wear double zero for an entire season?
Starting point is 00:43:58 Double zero. Double zero. You're double zero over the couch? Double zero, for sure. Double zero. 54. You can put Double zero. 54. 54. 54. You can put ground on that motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:44:08 For me, I have a better chance to get buckets with 54 and brown than goddamn having goggles on. Is that because you think wearing the goggles is ugly? One, if you got goggles on and how we see it, you have bad vision. If you have bad vision, obviously your jumper ain't like that. You can't see. You know, for some people, we're goggles for protection. We're judging you.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Some people wear goggles for protection, like you got poked in your eye. If you got to protect your eye. The goggles and the 54, so much except. Well, that's a real nasty one. You know, I like goggles and 54. Horace Grant did it. With the part. With the part.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Goggles and. With the part though. People like Horace Grant. Horace Grant. He wore 54 with goggles. Goggles, right? Was it Michael Jordan? Yes, Horace Grant wore 54 with goggles.
Starting point is 00:45:01 Was it Scottie Pippen? It was Horace Grant. With 54 on. Your name is Horace. Yes. You wear goggles. Absolutely. Yeah, it's a bad, it's all, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:12 But it all goes together. I know it's bad. I be out there looking at eggs. Horace and Harvey. Kids with goggles, and I just be like. Kids with what? With goggles on. With goggles.
Starting point is 00:45:22 They ain't even got the DC to get them goggles. They ought to throw regular glasses on. Regular glasses. But they do have a strap on. With goggles on. They ain't even got the DC to give them goggles. No. They ought to have regular glasses on. The regular glasses. But they do have a strap on. With the strap on them. And I just be wanting to go at them. Go at them. Lunch meat.
Starting point is 00:45:35 When I was little, I had regular glasses with the strap. Nasty work. Because I couldn't see without them, but I didn't want goggles. Nasty work. I be wanting to tell the parents, like, you can just save $20 every goddamn weekend. On the tickets?
Starting point is 00:45:51 On the tickets and the parking. Trust me, because it's over. Poor baby. Bro. Let the babies wear their hats. I see it right now. This shit, what you trying to do? This shit?
Starting point is 00:46:01 I get to just push the button. Think about the mannerisms that come with it. Just push them up. That is so true. Oh, my God. Trying to dribble a basketball and push your shit up, right? The ball coming to you. Boom.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Like, damn. No disrespect to the visually challenged out there. No, I wear glasses now. I couldn't imagine trying to- I am so sorry to all the cute girls out there. Hey, man, I see it. Like I said, the cute girls out there. Hey man, I see it. Like I said, I coached fifth grade girls back. I see it.
Starting point is 00:46:28 That was me. Right? That was me. I would have been like, go at her. Go at what? Because I'm bringing the ball up your right glasses. See, I'm diabolical when it comes to hoop, right? I want them to knock your glasses off.
Starting point is 00:46:40 So you can be trying to pick them bitches up while the game going on. Right? You looking for them motherfuckers. Throw them off the court. That is so mean. Like, I'm horrible. That is so mean. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Hey, go at her. What's the... Her. Her. The one with the glasses. The one with the glasses on. I'll call a timeout. Pick the glasses. The one with the glasses on the weak link.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Yeah, yeah. Sometimes you get hit and the glasses end up doing this. Yes, absolutely. No, you're lying. Crooked glasses. First of all, let me fix my glasses. on the weekly. Sometimes you get hit and the glasses end up doing this. Yes, absolutely. Oh, you're lying. Crooked glasses. First of all, let me fix my glasses. I'm going to say,
Starting point is 00:47:10 they probably better now because the lens pop out and shit. You got to... Trying to pop your lens. Coach got to call a timeout and shit because you got to put your lens back in. Hold on. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:47:21 Hold on. The chat said Bryce James catching strays right now. We have tons of respect. Oh, I didn't want to... Hold on, hold on. What? Because I know somebody. Let's hold on. The chance that Bryce James catching straight right now, we have tons of respect. Oh, I didn't want to be there. Hold on, hold on. What?
Starting point is 00:47:27 Because I know somebody who's son wear glasses. I know he's going to be scared. I just want to make sure. Gil, please. He just called. Gil, please. There is no need. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:47:40 Hey, just does your son wear glasses? Man. Like does he play basketball in glasses? Nick Young on the FaceTime said anybody in glasses gets dragged. Oh, you can't be looking at ass like that out there. Oh, my God. This is Nick talking about his son. Oh, I'm sorry. That's too much money to make. Anybody with glasses get dragged.
Starting point is 00:48:15 He's like, man, you can't wear glasses out there, man. You're going to get dragged. You just can't see, dog. You just got to figure it out. Oh, my God. Aim for the one in the middle. Absolutely, man. Y'all hurt me with that. We out there just, hey, go get the dog. You just got to figure it out. Oh, my God. Aim for the one in the middle. Absolutely, man. Y'all hurt me.
Starting point is 00:48:25 We out there just... What? Squint. Hey, go get the baby. You better squint. Contacts. All right, well, let's... Let's better play like this.
Starting point is 00:48:35 Contacts, man. You better get squint. Look at that. It might take us all day to get him in before the game, baby. Hey, son, you're going to miss school today. We got to put these in. Oh, my God. All right. You're going to want these contacts, dog. Let, son, you're going to miss school today. We got to put these in. Oh, my God. You're going to want these contacts, dog.
Starting point is 00:48:47 Let's keep this thing moving. Busy mornings, late nights, working through lunch. We might have another one. All right, we got to start from the top because we got a bag related activity. Go ahead while you look it up. Let me do it now. Hold on one second. Busy mornings, late nights, working through lunch.

Starting point is 00:49:35 Does Legend... Does Legend... Does Legend play basketball with glasses on? Goggles. He wears goggles. He's calling Brandon. Mr. B, Brandon Jenner B. Now I see why he got his ass whooped and mad in the king seat.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Huh? No way. I think you can see with the goggles on too. That's OK. We know. We over here talking about how, like, people who wear goggles get dragged. Because when you're on the court and somebody got goggles on, you drag them.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Mr. B. Brandon Jennings currently on the phone right now. Y'all are so mean. So who has been dragged that has goggles on? Everybody in life. Everybody. That's not true. He said horse bread. So he got to put contacts on, man. He got to get the contacts on, man.
Starting point is 00:50:25 He got to get the contacts. Lacey. Bo Outlaw. Oh. Bo Outlaw. It's Bo Outlaw. No. Bo Outlaw.
Starting point is 00:50:34 His mama named him Charles. I agree. Charles Bo Outlaw. Mama named him Charles. I agree. You agree he got drafted? No, he did not. He averaged two points.
Starting point is 00:50:42 Listen, hey. So there's a story. There's a story I heard about Bo Knight. I said Kareem. Yo. Kareem? Yeah? Somebody told Bo.
Starting point is 00:50:52 No, he did not. Stop that. Sure, somebody told Bo. Hey, Bo, you're playing hard, but you're killing us. You're telling us to put the contacts in, man. You're playing hard, but y'all want to leave Bo alone. He's going to be targeted, man. Man, Bo, but y'all don't leave ball alone. He's going to be targeted, man. Man, Bo went to the same Juco.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Leave ball alone. He got to lead with that. He played in the NBA with that. I know he did. I'll see you after the show. So Gil's called Nick Young and Mr. B. Reggie Jackson, he got a ring. Yeah, tell him, B.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Reggie Jackson got 80 million. He's still an athlete. Oh, he said Reggie Jackson got $80 million. He's still an athlete. Oh, he said Reggie Jackson got $80 million. He got glasses. We talking about Reggie Jackson in Philly right now. All right. He don't need no...
Starting point is 00:51:32 And he got a ring. He don't need no goggles. Tell him, B. Big game James Worthy. James Worthy. He also wore mismatched shoes just a minute ago. Buck Williams back in the day. James Worthy.
Starting point is 00:51:42 Big game James. But Kurt Rambis did, too. All right. You saw Kurt Rambis. Kurt Rambis did, too. Game James. But Kurt Rambis did too. You saw Kurt Rambis. Kurt Rambis did too. You can't take Kurt Rambis in. There's five guys that we didn't name. Out of 400 and...
Starting point is 00:51:54 I didn't hear any good ones. Big Game James. I heard you say Kurt Rambis and motherfucker Bo Outlaw. James Worthy. James Worthy. Hakeem.
Starting point is 00:52:04 James. Hakeem. No, Hakeem He didn't wear glasses. Those was different. Hakeem wore goggles. They wore old old old. Those shits was tribal or something. That don't count. It was brief. That don't count.
Starting point is 00:52:16 It was a brief stint. It was a brief. He wore them. No, no, no, no. Not like James Worthy. He only wore the photo with the goggles on it. He only used them when he had the crew. No, no, Hakeem, you're not going to do that to him.. Not like James Worth. He the only one with the photo with the goggles on. He only used them when he had the cr- Like the cr- no, no.
Starting point is 00:52:26 How can you not go do that to him? It's all- It's like Amari. The baby's wearing glasses. Something happened. Amari got his retina. Like, if he gets scratched again. He still wore it.
Starting point is 00:52:34 Because if he gets scratched again, it was he was going to lose his vision. Well, he wore them. It was just a- Rip wore the mask. It was just a thing. Rip wore the mask. He didn't come in wearing glasses.
Starting point is 00:52:43 But he wore them. He wore a mask. He wore a mask. He wore a mask. Same difference. Doggles, mask, same difference. He still got some shit on his face. Hey, that shit on your lip got some shit on this lip. I was like, yeah. Kurt Rambis, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:59 I didn't say it. I didn't say it. You didn't say it like that. I didn't say it like, ooh. I said, Kurt Rambis. I was like, hey, son. You going to be like the great Kurt Rambis. Hallelujah. Y'all are funny.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Kurt Rambis getting slander. Well, no, I'm just saying. I'm just saying. You talking about, like, looking up to something. Yeah, daddy, anybody who wears glasses was good. Yeah! You know, Horace Grant, Bo Outlaw, motherfuckers who like to fight and foul people.
Starting point is 00:53:35 There you go, son. Hey, be aggressive. All right, but let's keep this thing moving. So the Wolves and Warriors split their two-game series this weekend in the Bay. Ant-Man dropped a 30-piece and led the Warriors to victory Friday. After hitting a big bucket late in the fourth quarter, he exchanged some trash talk with Steph Curry.
Starting point is 00:53:52 What the? Boop. Ooh. Steph merely told him right back, here's my favorite part though. Shut up, N-word. Yeah, the Warriors got their get back on Sunday. Ant-Man learned a valuable lesson. So that was Saturday?
Starting point is 00:54:21 That was Friday. Friday. He screamed, yeah, yeah, Steph, Steph, Steph, right back. That's all Steph said as he walked into bed. Where he got there, get back on Sunday. Ant-Man learned a valuable lesson about poking the light-skinned bear that is Steph Curry. So Steph finished with a game-high 30 points,
Starting point is 00:54:37 along with eight assists and four rebounds. He was five for 11 from three in the game. It was Steph's 37th 30-point game since turning 35, which is second most in the league history for a guard behind MJ, who had 39 such games after turning 35. Buddy Hill broke out of his shooting slump, had 27 points going 7 for 13 from deep, along with three steals and a season-high 35 minutes.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Jonathan Kaminga added 20.7 rebounds, two steals and three blocks in his fourth straight start. Ant-Man finished the game with 27 points, five boards, and six assists. He was 10 for 19 from the field, five for nine from three. But it didn't matter. Steph Curry had that work for him. Obviously, Steph and Ant have a great relationship. Ant reached out to Steph, I think, before the season and during the Olympics
Starting point is 00:55:20 about how to get his jumper right. We saw the surge in Ant-Man shooting threes, trying to be like Steph. But this was a good game this weekend. I'm gonna attack this bitch. Rudy Gobert found himself on the wrong side of a few buckets in the game, including that one in the third quarter.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Game was back and forth. I saw that coming a mile away. And tried to rally the troops. And it wasn't over for Gobert. Yes, late in the game, he got back screened. Draymond took him to the cup. That's so weird. Then pulled out the night-night celly.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Hey! Uh, some... No, stop right there. Right at Gobert. No, no, stop. Why does that look like he might have just elbowed the shit out of his man in the back? It does look like it.
Starting point is 00:56:04 Like, just... Boo! Like, he just... Sacre bleu. Why does that look like he might have just elbowed the shit I just made in the back? It does look like it. Boo! Sacre bleu. Gobert, barbecue chicken. Draymond, got to give him some love. Did not choke Gobert in either of those two games. Don't do that. Very chokeable.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Rudy, a very chokeable human. Don't do that. You know, you see Rudy. Oh, I can choke. Let's grapple. But, uh, let's just grapple real quick.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Some light sparring for some cardio. But, uh, like I said, Dre pulled out Steph's night-night celebration.
Starting point is 00:56:36 Put Gobert and the Warriors to sleep. What did the Warriors show you in their win over the Wolves this past Sunday? Bouncing back
Starting point is 00:56:42 after that loss. They had had a five game losing streak for Kameka helped get them out of that with a win over the Rockets. Needed that big win on Sunday. You can't play right now. Sacre bleu. Steve, what you over there doing? How you doing? No, I'm talking about B.
Starting point is 00:56:57 So you going to play while I'm on the show? What he do? We playing dominoes on the app. Your brother going to play while I'm on the show? What'd he do? We playing dominoes on the app. Your brother going to play while I'm working right now. Oh, y'all playing? Y'all have a domino game going on? But he moved.
Starting point is 00:57:14 You said, OK. He said, I want my eyebrows shaved. Wow. Wow. Wow. We got side missions going on. Yeah, y'all doing a lot. He said, you just go play right now. So who did they take out of the lineup?
Starting point is 00:57:39 So they went small with that crew. I think DP2 ended up getting the start. So Looney's out. No. He ain't been there. He been out. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:47 Who's been starting for Kaminga to start? Draymond. So they've been rolling Draymond. I think Trace Jackson Davis at points. Tray Jackson. Oh. Who is it? So he did not play, okay.
Starting point is 00:58:00 All right. So what was the question, Usai? Just, I don't even know. Yeah, what was the question, sorry.? Just, I don't even know. Yeah, what was the question? Sorry. I already got my check for this one. But the way the Warriors show you in their win over the Wolves Sunday. Hmm? No.
Starting point is 00:58:14 They've been playing well so far this season, man. We knew they was going to bounce back. They wasn't going to stay in that slump they was in. Listen, they got Steph Curry. What you think? No, they. I'm saying. They got Curry, don't count Steph out. Prudent for Ant-Man to, obviously, Ant-Man a big talker.
Starting point is 00:58:35 Ducks no smoke. Yeah. I love Ant-Man. I mean, it's not like he, I mean, he's not ducking it, but he ain't winning the smoke talk. He ain't winning the smoke talk. I can say that for sure. He's talking, but it's not ducking it, but he ain't winning the smoke talk. He ain't winning the smoke talk. I can say that for sure. He's talking, but it's not. You got to know who you're talking to.
Starting point is 00:58:50 If y'all had a home and home and you did that. There. There and then they was coming to y'all place. Yeah. Yeah, you can't talk shit and you got to come right back in a bit. Like two days later. Yeah. You can talk shit if you come back.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Yeah, yeah. See you on our floor or something like that. That's why Steph said, right back. Mm-hmm. Real simple. We'll see you right back. Yeah. I got something for you.
Starting point is 00:59:14 Most definitely. All right, well, let's... Yeah, and as we pointed out, I think last season, Ant said he wasn't ducking any smoke with the Warriors, wanted to face them in the playoffs. We did not get that playoff matchup. May get it this season. But let's shift a little bit and talk about Jonathan Kaminga.
Starting point is 00:59:29 Career-high 33 points Thursday in a win against the Rockets with both Steph and Draymond out, helping the Warriors snap their five-game losing streak, extend their winning streak against the Rockets to 15 games. So on Friday, Draymond was back in action, but came off the bench for the first time this season as Kaminga got the start. After that game, Dray was asked about in action but came off the bench for the first time this season as Kaminga got the start. After that game, Dray was asked about not starting and had this response.
Starting point is 00:59:51 Coach just called and asked. He said it's something he was thinking about. And he wanted to know if I was okay with it. Of course I'm okay with it. You know, I have been one of J.K.'s biggest fans since he's been here. And so if he has an opportunity to start, you can't be hypocritical. And they're like, yo, we want him to start, but it'll be for you. And you can't be like, ah, it's not for me.
Starting point is 01:00:19 That don't work. I'm a fan of his. I want to see him do well. So if his opportunity goes through me, then it is what it is. You know, that's his opportunity, and he earned the opportunity. I am a product of my vet being willing to take a backseat for me. So you got to give back what came to you. That's what this is about.
Starting point is 01:00:46 I mean, you terrible. So, Bo Dre and Kaminga started on Sunday, and the win is Kerwin with a small lineup. But what's your reaction to Draymond saying he's willing to come off the bench for Kaminga to start? No, that's big, and what the last part of it. Um, so that's how he got his opportunity, right? So for him not to forget that, cuz we can all get jaded.
Starting point is 01:01:12 So he fought championships in, made a lot of money, been a starter for it all, right? We can all get jaded in those moments and get lost in it. So now for him to be aware of that and to buy into it, now that says a lot, man. And for him to, yeah, just, this is what being a leader is about. Right, you can be vocal, you can be all those other things.
Starting point is 01:01:38 That's our leader conversation. But this is what a leader is about. 100%. And we've never questioned what that about. I never have. I've never questioned Draymond's leadership. Right, never. Whatever he had going on, no matter what it was,
Starting point is 01:01:53 all the antics, the fights, the choke, whatever it is, I've never questioned his leadership. Yep. So this is prime example of that. Maybe some missteps along the way, but instrumental. It happens, he's human. Building the dynasty, yeah, exactly. He's human and he plays with emotion.
Starting point is 01:02:09 So at times do we think he could have controlled it? Absolutely, but that's why he is four time champion. That's why he is where he is in his career. He's gotten the best out of that ability. Yep, 100%. Not the best shooter, not the best dribbler, not the best,, but four-time champion, and he's been a huge part of that. Yeah, I think he's a great leader. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:31 To your point, we had this conversation yesterday. I think Drayvon's a great leader. And for him to say I would be hypocritical if I wasn't like, yeah, he can start for me. And to me, I think at the end of the day, it should be about winning. And if putting Kaminga in the starting lineup and bringing Dre off the bench is going to put you in a better position to win games, then I say, great, do it.
Starting point is 01:02:56 But I also think bringing Dre off the bench gives Golden State a different look. It gives them something that maybe they didn't have before bringing someone else off the bench. So kudos to Dre. Yeah, that's definitely a great example of leadership. And it was just for one game. The ability to second unit. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:17 Just for one game. Obviously, they opted to go with, I think, an analytics-driven lineup in that second game against the Wolves. I think their analytics guy went to Kerr and said, this lineup with GP2 starting and Dre and Kaminga all starting would make the most sense. But I think Steph had this to say about Kaminga getting the start over Dre. He might have said, the experimental phase of trying to unlock new looks,
Starting point is 01:03:41 new go-to sets, put the ball in his hands, it's time for that for sure. So we had talked about Kaminga obviously not agreeing to an extension. I think those numbers versus what he wanted versus what the Warriors offering different, Gil, you've been very vocal in. They're going to try a strong army to get you to sign that deal one way or the other since he's a restricted free agent. But do you like to see that move, especially with Dre, as a vet leader on that squad, willing
Starting point is 01:04:05 to sacrifice? Already got his bag, obviously signed that four-year deal. It's going to be a contradiction, right? Kaminga's a scorer, Dray's still a, it's, everybody thrives, you know, Steph, and everybody thrives off of how Draymond plays, right? He sacrifices his scoring for everyone else. So when the starting five is not playing well, the only look will be Kaminga to remove and bring him back off the bench because he's focused on scoring. So I don't see it lasting because if they lose three,
Starting point is 01:04:53 four in a row and they're starting off bad, they're going to look at him like it's his fault, no matter how good he's playing. It's been one game. The one game that they did play, they lost. Yep. So they don't really have any real measurable on it. The game he did take over, they wasn't there.
Starting point is 01:05:12 Against the Rocks when he had that 33 pick. And I'm pretty sure after that 33, he's like, oh, shit, you know, this is who he is. Let's start him. And then they end up losing that game. Yeah, he had like 13 in that first loss. And then, what 6-17. Draymond came off the bench 50%, 10 points, 6 assists.
Starting point is 01:05:30 He led the team in assists coming off the bench. Yeah, and then you put them together on Sunday. So it's one of those things where you can see him, you can see Kirk backtracking on this move, and it's experimental for a couple games, and then he'll probably try to figure out what his lineup is. So I'll add another interesting element and layer to the Kaminga situation.
Starting point is 01:05:52 Reports the Warriors are interested in bringing in another star player to pair with Steph. For that to happen, it would likely mean Kaminga being included in the trade. Does it feel like the Warriors are trying to maximize Kaminga's trade value? They had him on the bench earlier in the season. Now he's going on to start four straight games.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Trying to showcase him a little bit, perhaps. That happens. I'm saying, have you guys seen that happen on a team before? If they're really thinking about getting a trade for him, yeah, you want people to see what he can do. Have you seen that go downward? Oh, no, I mean, yeah, of course. Like, if you're trying to trade somebody,
Starting point is 01:06:34 you know, when we see those random dudes out there, like, damn, he ain't even come off the bench. He got 35 minutes, got 20 points. We're like, damn, they should start him more often than he's traded the next day, right? So they want to, you know, they show people that you're in shape. Not in shape. You're not hurt.
Starting point is 01:06:52 You can play. Who are they thinking about trading? They haven't specified who they would get rid of. They're just saying that they want to bring in a star potentially to pair with Steph. For what, two years? I mean, what is the goal here? One, two years? Trying to get another championship.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Yeah. In the next one, two years? Yes. Or at least give the appearance that they are assembling a roster that is capable of doing stuff. I, I. I... That's what I'm saying. Unless you're trying to win it, like, you literally, like, I want to win a championship, like, to give him his fifth, makes sense. Other than that, I don't know why I'm appearing
Starting point is 01:07:40 to try to win one if I don't need to. Four is good enough. Yeah. If he's 33, then yeah. Is 35? 35 turning 36? He's 36, will be turning 37 March 14th, 2025. If that is the case.
Starting point is 01:08:06 And I guess the question is, should the Warriors still be prioritizing keeping Steph happy? It ain't about keeping him happy. It's about winning, bro. But that's my point. He said he wants to be on a competitive team. He wants to win. Okay, well, they competitive now.
Starting point is 01:08:22 Competitive means just going out there, just playing. They don't want to have a chance. They don't want to be where they have been in previous years. He's under contract through 2027.
Starting point is 01:08:31 Yeah, so he won't have a chance until he's done. That's what you... I think he's going to play the Madden and that's going to be it. You think he's what? So he's done 2027.
Starting point is 01:08:41 You think he's going to play out this contract? I think so. Who, Steph? Yes. And you think he'll retire? Yeah, you think he's gonna play out this contract? I think so. Who, Steph? Yes. And you think he'll retire? Yeah, he'll play these three, I'm gonna be last.
Starting point is 01:08:49 This season and the next two seasons out. Yeah, this season and the next two. Sorry, and how old is he? He's 37. He'll be 37 in March. 37 in March. Yeah, he'll be 39 turn to 40, the way he play. Yeah. So you, turn to 40, the way he play? Yeah. Sometimes I say you're going to trade the future,
Starting point is 01:09:10 your future guys to bring in a star. I mean, depending on how young that star is. But don't be telling me you're trying to bring in, what, LeBron or somebody in their high 30s also. That's just dumb. It's just dumb. He bringing in a young star so when Curry leaves, he can take over. Takes over.
Starting point is 01:09:33 Right? Because at this position, at this point, you're trying to... Like, he can still be the number one option, but you're trying to have really a 1B that can just, the very next year be 1A. And just carry the load. And Curry just has his moments throughout the season. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:56 You don't need Curry trying to carry the load and win a championship. Well, I mean, it's the same thing we said about LeBron. Guys getting up older in years can still be the quote number one option on paper, but you want to have that guy. At the beginning when we was winning, AD was doing 80.
Starting point is 01:10:13 Yeah. And AD's still balling. You'd like to think now when LeBron leaves, AD's going to take over that franchise. I feel like the Warriors have that situation in place right now. It feels like kind of when Dre and Steph ride off to the sunset. Yeah, they don't have an all-NBA player
Starting point is 01:10:26 other than Steph right now, but... It's like they don't know what... It seems like they don't know what direction they want to move in. They have an idea because, like, okay, he can still do his thing. Do we... Do we try to build a championship? But by the time you get championship ready...
Starting point is 01:10:44 Yeah. He might not be in championship form anymore. Like, you got to realize he's about to be 37. Like, next year's 37, 38. If you don't win it then, the following year is 38, 39. And Ward's kind of in a tough spot, fifth in the way. Yeah, 24 months. From this season. Yeah, from this season, 24 months,
Starting point is 01:11:10 and you're talking about a whole different player. Warriors fifth in the West right now. For that five-game losing streak, they were up near the top of the Western Conference. So they've shown flashes and potential in what they can do. But if you're Steph now in this situation, can you, like you said, I only got two and a half seasons left, you think he just stays and...
Starting point is 01:11:28 If you're talking about, like, the perfect person right now for him, Giannis. I mean, when you're talking about age and dominance that can just turn over, probably Giannis. Um, that's, you know, that's not in a situation where he's stable. Other than that, there's really nobody out there that can put him in a championship contender
Starting point is 01:11:54 within the next two years. You're gonna need multiple pieces. Yeah. And asset-wise, they probably don't have. I mean, in order to bring in Giannis, you'd have to give up. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:07 Yeah. Yeah, that part. What about, we talked about this, you talked about Embiid yesterday, but what about somebody like Embiid? No. Or is that just too much of a gamble? Nah. Based on his?
Starting point is 01:12:24 Yeah, because you don't know how much he's actually gonna play And yeah Okay, you know obviously you watch every Sixers game for the most part Yesterday Gil said in bees knee Looks like a wheel with no brake pad basically trying to stop What are you seeing from him out there? Obviously, only played one game that big. Three finally playing one full game together.
Starting point is 01:12:54 It looks he's wearing a brace for one. And it looks bulky, looks heavy. There was a play early on and and he was kind of scared to land on it. So he both feet and you can see him, he got scared. He hopped off of it, right? And he fell for no reason. Yeah. Right?
Starting point is 01:13:17 So mentally, you can tell he don't trust it. If it is right, he don't trust it. And or it's not right. And so, shot a lot of jump shots. Yeah. Was very aggressive. Yeah. Was very, very aggressive for being his first game back.
Starting point is 01:13:39 No, if he is healthy, man, we know what he can be, man. But yeah, no, it just, that knee didn't, it didn't, to me, know what he can be, man. But, yeah, no, it just didn't need him. It didn't, to me, it didn't look stable at times. And he still had 30. Yeah, he still had 30. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:54 That's what I'm saying. I'm looking at him like, you're missing all this time. You done had the whole summer, right? You started off the season and start. There was no surgery. You're coming back and the way you look, I'm like, this is all, this is just cartilage. He probably just don't have cartilage at this point. Right, and they're just trying to figure out
Starting point is 01:14:14 how to keep the inflammation down. So it don't, so one, he can never practice. At this point, if it's what I think it is there's he can't practice you can't really do much on treadmill in them right you got a cinnamon like pool right he got to get all of his cardio low impact you have the altar G G if you have the all three try to put them on that but still that you're still doing something other than that you got pool workouts the whole time, and you're trying to keep him off his feet. So why would a team trade for him?
Starting point is 01:14:48 Because they don't know. They don't know what we know. Well, they don't. You think I'm going to give you all this? But they know he's injured, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's all right. Just had a little tweak, a little tweak,
Starting point is 01:15:00 a little long practice. But so yeah, this car is very, very reliable. Right, MVP, look at the mileage on it, right? You done flipped them damn mileage back. You know how they do it on the car, they done flip that shit back. Yeah, they gonna roll it back on him. 87, got 33 miles on it, like 33,000 miles.
Starting point is 01:15:19 You're like, wait a minute, this don't even make sense. Yeah, but he's still who he is, man. I saw him play later in that game, though. I forgot. It was like a loose ball or something, but he like flopped and just fell to the ground. I'm just watching this like, you know your knee's already janky. Trying to sell a call, just like unnecessary in my opinion.
Starting point is 01:15:37 But if your knee's messed up, why stop doing all that unnecessary falling. Yeah, no. And it's a delicate situation for the team, of course, man, because you want him to play, right? You want him to play, but you don't know if he's going to play every game, so the other guys got to adapt and adjust to that in and out of the lineup, man, which is tough. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:12 It's tough for them, like him and PG trying to understand one another, right? Him, PG, and Maxie trying to learn how to play together. So it's a lot that come with that, man. It's more an opinion than something that is actually factual. If you know he's not going to be in and out of, if you know he's going to be in and out of the lineup, should you just move on with the play calling to somebody else? Right?
Starting point is 01:16:46 I know it's easier to say, knowing damn well when he go to that court, the motherfucking ball coming to me. That's tough. Absolutely. But, you know what I mean? Like, but we're at the point where you're not even, like, our offense was built for you, and we have to fit in. And at this point,
Starting point is 01:16:58 you're not the number one option anymore because you can't sustain it. You're not going to be here 10 games in a row. So you sit here playing four games and I'm here 10 and we sit here going to you when the four you come, fuck all that. You going to have to get in where you fit in. I hear you, but the way that I'm sitting here,
Starting point is 01:17:19 I watched you, I trust him. At one point he had more shot attempts than minutes. Yeah. So, you have to... I hear you, absolutely. He's so big. He take up space, so he... You can say all that shit.
Starting point is 01:17:37 If he just want to stand in the way and force you to throw him the ball, that's what he gonna do. Yeah. Right? Whatever play you run, he's just gonna go stand in the way and make you throw him the ball.
Starting point is 01:17:44 See, that's that vent. That's that vent. That's that Gary Payton... Yeah, it's hard to do. Yeah. Right? Whatever play you run, he's just going to go stand in the way and make you throw him the ball. See, that's that Gary Payton. Yeah, but it's hard to do that, though. That's that Gary Payton and Shaquille. No, I'm saying it's hard to do what he's saying. Right? Like, yeah, it makes sense, but even him being injured and the way he is, when he is out there playing,
Starting point is 01:18:04 he still can give you 30, 35. You hit 31 and 12. Yeah. First game back. And so that's why it's hard to be like, yeah, you're saying, well, you're not the number one option anymore. And then he's going to have 19 in the second quarter. It's hard.
Starting point is 01:18:24 I know. It's like when you're. Unless he's like to have 19 in the second quarter. It's hard to... I know. It's like... Unless he's like, you know what, y'all? But that's going to be something that he's going to have to, like, he's going to have to
Starting point is 01:18:31 or a vet. Because as long as he goes out there, he's number one option, everyone is going to... No, no. Everyone is like, we got to give him the ball.
Starting point is 01:18:40 You get to run fast, run fast, 20, we give you the ball and then he comes back and you got to sit there like... Yeah, I don't think that's it, though. Yeah, yeah, Big Philly, you going to be here tomorrow? Like, nah, you're going to be like, yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 01:18:52 See y'all tomorrow! And then he comes back the next game, you're like, ah, nigga, just sit down. Like, it's... But as a player, how hard is that to deal with? Like, one day I could be the man. All right, now the man is back. I got to... You see it because, you know...
Starting point is 01:19:10 Trust me, opponents use it. Damn, bro, I thought this was your team, boy. My, like... Shit, they out there, man. He's just the option two now, huh? You ain't getting no shots in the three minutes. You better go out there and check your few a few. You start using it against them. And, you know, they got two guards that's eager, that's healthy, that's ready to go.
Starting point is 01:19:34 You got a bunch of young kids that, I'm just going to be honest, they don't look happy when Embiid is out there. Because it's like, yeah, you're good, but we sitting here practicing every day, and, you know, we trying to establish ourselves, and you're not healthy, and you're too selfish to take a back seat. It reminded me of when...
Starting point is 01:20:00 Yeah, but when does the coach step in? No, that's not a coach thing. Well, he's not going to do it. When Shaq went to Miami, him and Dwyane Wade fought over who's the number one option. When Gary Payton, so when they got the veterans over there, Shaq didn't start the season with them. Dwyane Wade was out there moving.
Starting point is 01:20:26 They played Lakers. Dwyane was matching Kobe. Shaq got in his feelings because he came back home and he wasn't getting the ball like that. And Gary had to sit with Shaq and said, hey, listen, it's young boys' team. You're going to have to be second option. I came here to win a championship. So I'm telling you, like Yvette, we played together. We're going to have to be second option. I came here to win a championship.
Starting point is 01:20:45 So I'm telling you, like Yvette, we play together. We're going to go through him. Even though you're the big fella, you're the big fella. But we're going to move with him. So who's that person on the Sixers? It's Embiid. Right. And he's not going to do that.
Starting point is 01:21:04 They have somebody that's old do that. They have somebody. That's old enough to... Kyle Lowry. Hmm. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Does he listen to Kyle Lowry? Who doesn't he listen to?
Starting point is 01:21:18 Okay. Pat Baird. He gotta put... He gotta, like... Somebody has to have stripes like him. That's the problem. Somebody has to have stripes like him. That's the problem. Somebody has to have the same stripes, same all-stars, all-MASO. Paul George, possibly, is the only one who can be like, hey, man.
Starting point is 01:21:36 Paul George ain't healthy. No, because he came in. You brought me in, too. Yeah, I came here to play. I come here to play, and we supposed to be winning. Hey, listen, both of us ain't right right now. Let's move, let's move with them. Let them carry the load until we get our shit together.
Starting point is 01:21:51 You know, let them carry us to like February off our break. So that's something Paul George will have to go there and be, have that sit down and say, listen, the young boys is moving and they playing well, they playing together. We're going to have to get in where we fit in, pick our spots. Right? Our numbers is gonna be down. But as long as we're winning, we can pick those numbers back up at the end of the season.
Starting point is 01:22:13 Right? We'll be a better team. That's, you know, but that's hard to do. I'm not gonna lie. You couldn't tell me that shit when I was in Wizards. Hey, Gil, you just coming back. You know, this is Karan's team and Antoine. I was not trying to hear that shit. I might be going...
Starting point is 01:22:29 I might be... One leg, goddammit. One full flat. You can see them over here like... This ain't going to end well. As I said, the theory is from someone who's been there, when you got to move to a side, but reality is,
Starting point is 01:22:50 man, it ain't going to happen. Yeah. It's hard to tell former MVP. Success, former success is a bitch. Yeah. Right? Because he knows what he is, and he knows what he can do against this talent. Right? Because he knows what he is, and he knows what he can do against this talent.
Starting point is 01:23:07 Right? So, to dial that back when you out there, like Gil said, he wasn't going to try to hit that shit when he was averaging 29. He come back, like, he talking about this is, man, whatever. Whatever. Sure. One for a flat. But that's what makes Draymond.
Starting point is 01:23:25 Like, when Draymond says, oh, I'll come off the bench. No, I wasn't even averaging 29. He started Francisco Elson in front of me. I threatened to beat the dude up. I wasn't averaging 29, and I wouldn't trust me, so. That's right. Kenya, back in the lineup, please. They said, yo. No, they suspended me.
Starting point is 01:23:50 You know how disrespectful this is? Oh, my God. Yo, we're no back in the lineup. Yo, they suspended me. I'm going to beat your motherfucking ass. Okay. Yeah. He's probably like, coach, I don't want to start.
Starting point is 01:24:03 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Pop told me to ask from my spot back. I'm just thinking, as a coach, as a coach, right? You just sitting in the little coach's meeting, right? And then King, you walk in. I just only can imagine just, uh. No, they stepped back. Hey, so uh.
Starting point is 01:24:19 I bet they did. You started looking around, what's the problem? Like, why Why you here? Can we help you? Yeah, yeah. This ain't no one's ever happy to see Kenya come in the office. We want him in the office.
Starting point is 01:24:37 Like a guard come in, hey, how you doing? Come on in. How you doing? Kenya come in, everybody's like, whoa. I know. Goddamn. Do we have a meeting with this? Yeah. Who called? We started looking around like, oh.
Starting point is 01:24:50 Oh, my God. This sound like a head coach convo. No, it's real. So to his point, right, that year when that shit happened, the exit meeting, right, didn't nobody tell me about it. Oh, my God. Right? I was going up there to clean my locker and shit out. They was getting out.
Starting point is 01:25:07 They was getting out to exit me. They just like, everybody was sitting in the locker room. Uh-huh. So I walk in, and it got quiet. And I just was like, oh, shit. Uh-huh. I used to just be like, oh, shit. What'd you say when you walked in?
Starting point is 01:25:21 Nothing. You just walked in? You didn't say shit to anybody? Because everybody was probably like, ah. I didn't say shit to nobody. Mm-hmm. Mm. Nobody. Because my last interaction with everybody,
Starting point is 01:25:30 I had threatened to beat the head coach up and threatened to beat everybody up on the team. That was the last conversation I had had with anybody. So was the head coach in the room when you walked in? No, he had just went in. I had just missed him. Oh, my God. Did you?
Starting point is 01:25:43 Right? It was like, it was... Wait, I had just missed him. Oh, my God. Did you? Right? It was like, it was. Wait, wait, wait, wait. But why did you want to beat the head coach up? Oh, he played me seven minutes in the playoff game. What'd you say to him? Huh? What did you say to him?
Starting point is 01:25:55 Oh, man, I threatened that man's life. Yeah, sure enough, I just, man, listen. Oh, my God. Because I had made up to that point, right? I'm out there playing basically on one. I'm trying to get ready for the playoffs, man. No, I just, man, listen. Oh, my God. Because I had made up to that point, right? I'm out there playing basically on one. I'm trying to get ready for the playoffs, man. We talked about this, right? If you're my coach, we have a conversation, right?
Starting point is 01:26:13 I'm going to get ready. I'm going to set up the last cup game, get ready for the playoffs. And you're like, all right, cool. And you play me seven minutes. We just lost game one. Started the dude in game one, right? Got a problem. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:26:28 It ain't like I spazzed out in game one. You did it game one. I go to you after game one, we lost. Y'all back in the line of game two, we lost game one. Now I'm gonna start a dude again. Hmm. Hmm. Okay. So you know where it went from there. Now I'm going to start dude again. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.
Starting point is 01:26:45 Okay. So you know where it went from there, right? Uh-huh. It was the, all right. All right. Time coming in, like. Yeah, you played me seven minutes. Listen, seven game minutes.
Starting point is 01:26:59 Seven. Seven. Seven game minutes. So that means that's a whole bunch of looking and mad doggers. Oh, I sat up on him. Zay, what did? I sat up on the end of that chair. He said, Buck.
Starting point is 01:27:14 He called Greg Buckley name. Buck, go get Nahari. Oh, damn, buddy. He's like, motherfucker, so you can see me? Wait. Oh, I sat all the way up on the end of that motherfucker, buddy. So then, he's like, motherfucker, so you can see me? Wait. I sat all the way up on the end of that motherfucker, too. Looking right down at him. Uh...
Starting point is 01:27:34 Cool. Watching the clock now. Ain't even watching the game. Game going on. I'm watching the clock. I had already made my mind up. Just wait. No time-outs. I had already made my mind up. Yeah. Just wait, dog. That shit, no timeouts. I had already made my mind up. That shit just dwindling down.
Starting point is 01:27:48 I'm just watching it. This. This. This. Four, three, two. I was already up and going to the back of the locker room. Right? By the time everybody got in the locker room, everybody came in.
Starting point is 01:28:00 As soon as they sat down, I hopped up. Mm-hmm. Right? Then they little meeting in the hallway. You know the stables-hmm. Right? They in their little meeting in the hallway. You know the stables? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The coaches meet in the hallway. Like, this is the team.
Starting point is 01:28:10 They meet in the hallway, right? Soon as they get out of the way, as soon as all the players come in, the trainers, everybody come in, I go right out there. They in their little huddle. Mm-hmm. I walk right in between them. Like y'all said, everybody backed up. Right?
Starting point is 01:28:28 I don't know. I can't hold it in. Normally, assistant coaches grab, like, they ain't gonna let players go after a coach. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:28:36 They took a step back. All of them. Shit. They was probably already talking, so, you think Ken really mad at you?
Starting point is 01:28:44 You know what's going on? Okay. Because I know I can't say I lost track of the game. That shit don't work with him. No. You know, you can tell a young person, oh, you know what, the game got out of him. You know, I forgot.
Starting point is 01:28:56 I got your next game. That shit ain't working on Kenyon. Wow. No, but look, you know how I, that's how I knew because when you're playing In a game and You see a player that's sitting At the edge like this doing one of these
Starting point is 01:29:11 You already know Shit went south Right coach didn't call his number And he just He gotta sit in front of him so you can make sure he sees you I sit on the last seat Ain't no missing him now He called in front of him so you can make sure he sees you. I sit on the last seat. Everybody know, I turn the last seat. Ain't no missing him now.
Starting point is 01:29:30 He called, Buck, get Eddie. Buck. Whoa. Buck played a two. You know all this, right? Greg Buckner, two guard, three at best. Eddie Naira played my position. He a four.
Starting point is 01:29:45 Damn, that makes it even worse. And as a player, dog, you'd be so like, you'd be like, come on, come on. You see what I mean? He's right here, dog. Okay, don't do that. He's right here. And you start starting, like, listen, because he's sitting there.
Starting point is 01:29:59 So you start sitting, watching the game like this. It's like... Can the ball hear you? Shit. So he playing on the team with Caron and Stackhouse. Yeah. So he know, right? He know.
Starting point is 01:30:15 So I go back in the locker room after I did threaten him. I go back in the locker room, dog, and I threaten, listen, everybody on the team, bro. You motherfuckers ain't shit, y'all. Ain't gonna never win shit, y'all. Soft, y'all. Anybody feel a way, say something. I already know those conversations.
Starting point is 01:30:36 Just look down. Don't look at him. Don't look at him. He's like, don't look at him. Don't look at him. I would have raised my hand and said, all right. Hey, that's because you know't look at him, don't look at him. I would have raised my hand and said, all right. That's because you know when they say that.
Starting point is 01:30:49 That's going to fuck him up, can't you? Joe, if you would have said, I would probably went off on you. Hey, no, because you know when they make the statement, they want to see who actually looks in their eyes. Because they start looking at whoever they don't like first. They look at them first. So you automatically just look down and start talking to them. Don't look up, don't to yourself. He knows that guy. Don't look up.
Starting point is 01:31:06 That's what would happen. He's going to give a three, four, five-second scan. Yeah. Then he's going to keep going where he got to go. I went and turned my chair around in my locker. I turned my back there, everybody, put that towel over my head. I'm sitting there just crying.
Starting point is 01:31:22 Oh. Just. Yeah. They're just flowing, and I'm. I felt somebody Just, they just flowing. And I'm, I felt somebody come over there and tap me. It's Gurg. B-I-A Gurg over there. Easy Timmy.
Starting point is 01:31:31 Easy Timmy. Right, I'm in that bit. So the team go out for the third quarter. I'm still in the locker room. That was halftime? Yes. Oh shit. I thought the game was over.
Starting point is 01:31:46 I thought that was the end of the game. That was the halftime. Yes. I said he played me seven minutes in the second quarter. No, I thought we was talking about the game. No. I thought the game was over. No.
Starting point is 01:32:01 No. Damn. He was on the wall, man. He wasn't listening, bruh. Hey, what are you doing? No. No. Damn. He was on the wall, man. He wasn't listening, bro. Hey, what are you doing? No. Wow.
Starting point is 01:32:11 I gave you a whole game. Listen, hold on. I thought it was the game. I gave you a whole game and a half. No, no. Game one, right? Game one, we lose. I come to you.
Starting point is 01:32:27 First half of the second game, you on the same bullshit. It ain't finna get no better. No, no, wait, wait. No, I'm not gonna give you the opportunity to fuck and keep fucking with me, bro. So you came in probably with the first, the last three minutes, and then played the first... To like the nine-minute mark.
Starting point is 01:32:42 Yeah. And then put me back in. Mm. Of the first half. Yeah the nine-minute mark. Yeah. It didn't put me back in. Of the first half. Yeah. The writing was on the wall, bro. Oh, shit. This is the first half.
Starting point is 01:32:51 Yes. That change. Yo, and what ad insult to everybody, right? Listen. Oh, my God. Because now you can't go nowhere. No, I can't. No.
Starting point is 01:33:04 I'm talking about the play. Oh, yeah. So, no. Listen. Hold on. I called my No, I can't. No. I'm talking about the players. Oh, yeah. So, no. Listen, hold on. I called my assistant, right? Listen. Yeah, the game ain't over. Yo, I called my assistant.
Starting point is 01:33:14 Every other game, you get a car service. Because, you know, I'm leaving. We're playing at Staples. Mm-hmm. After the game, I'm getting a car. I'm going. I'm not staying with it. So, hey, man, where the car at? You got a car here?
Starting point is 01:33:23 At halftime? At halftime. You know what? I roll with... I'm going to beat your motherfucking ass up. No, I didn't hang the phone up. So you roll with somebody, right? Wow.
Starting point is 01:33:38 So you were going to leave at halftime. Absolutely. 1000%. So what'd you end up doing? Did you go back out? You didn't go back out? Late in the fourth quarter. With your clothes on?
Starting point is 01:33:51 No, I stayed in my uniform. My eyes were bloodshot red, bro. My mom called me. You know how many missed calls I had from my mom, bro? She didn't see me on the bench. So she thought something had happened. Something did happen. Something did happen.
Starting point is 01:34:04 Just wasn't what she had thought. So she called something had happened. Something did happen. Yeah, something did happen. Just wasn't what she had thought. Like, she called, so she called her brother. Like, you made your mom call my phone, bro. I'm like, hey, man, just call her, tell her I'm good. But, hey, I didn't. You didn't want to talk to her. I didn't want to talk to nobody. Yeah, I, yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:20 Had. I thought it was the end. No, had. No, because, no, no, no. Now you have to put it all in perspective. So when he stayed back there, you know that third quarter bench? Yeah. It's normal.
Starting point is 01:34:31 Yeah, they looking. Woo! You got to keep checking, make sure he ain't coming. Nope. That fourth quarter, he coming, he coming. So it was like, so we already know, look. It was just a tap. King of the seat, space, space, he coming, he coming. OK. So it was like, so we already know, look. It was just a tap. King of seat, space, space, space.
Starting point is 01:34:50 They sharing chairs. Scoot over, scoot over. Two people sitting on one. Two people sitting on one chair. Sure, he had already lit the wick, right? He lit the wick when he said he was gonna start in game two. Oh man.
Starting point is 01:35:07 Right? Yeah. He lit the wick already. So by the end of the first half of the second game, oh, it was boom time. Like it was, trust me. Hey man, I'm sorry man. I just thought it was the game.
Starting point is 01:35:23 No, not at all. I was like seven minutes for the game. God damn. You was sitting there just counting down. I wasn't going to give you the opportunity to keep fucking with me. You had already been fucking with me. I wasn't going to give you the opportunity. We were going to dip this shit in the bud.
Starting point is 01:35:37 Right now. At halftime. Right now. I wasn't going to wait. So did you? Oh, shit. Just twice a day. I'm sorry. So did you? Oh, shit. Just twice today. I'm sorry, y'all.
Starting point is 01:35:48 The more I think about it, this motherfucker crazy. The more I think. Like, I'm just trying to think, like, halftime coming in, y'all thinking about the halftime speech? Oh, my God, Gil. Oh, my God, y'all are too much today. Shit, I spit it out. Because there's nobody...
Starting point is 01:36:17 The whole crew out here ducking. You spraying the crew, Gil. No, I did it earlier I never did it earlier. I did it earlier. I see why they backed up. They was not expecting that shit to happen. That was the last thing they said. Hey, man.
Starting point is 01:36:33 I'm trying not to cry. Oh, no. Oh, shit. OK, but wait. So did you actually talk to Coach Ahaz when you walked up in the room? What? What happened?
Starting point is 01:36:45 I called him fat motherfucker. I'd kick your ass. You playing with me out here? You lucky. What did he say? Nothing. Not one word. What did the assistant say? Not one word. This is the half-time. Oh my God. All right, let's go out there
Starting point is 01:37:02 and get him. No, that's it. This half-time speech was done. Yeah. So when you finished, you went back in the locker room? And cussed everybody on the team. Why? What'd they do? They played.
Starting point is 01:37:16 They existed. They planned for him. All right, well. Oh, God, what? They planned for him. Oh, my God. Let's keep this thing going. No, shit. Oh, I believe you. I'm going to leave it on, because everybody else knows this. I told this story before. Has Sprewell never choked PJ Carlissimo?
Starting point is 01:37:27 George would have got beat up. That's the only thing that stopped you. PJ Carlissimo. I knew the result. No, what stopped him was it was only one half. No. No, because if he would have did the same shit in the second half, he would have been beaten up.
Starting point is 01:37:35 I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know.
Starting point is 01:37:43 I know. I know. I know. I know. I bro. I knew the result. No, what stopped him was it was only one half. No. No, because if he would have did the same shit in the second half, he would have been chosen. I wouldn't give him the opportunity. Yeah, but he didn't go back out. If he would have held it in at the half time
Starting point is 01:37:59 and did the second half, and it was the same shit, that motherfucker would have stopped. Oh, yes. I knew it, so I wasn't gonna get my opportunity. All right, well, let's take... Let's take a quick half-time break on this show and let you know that this... Gil's really responsible for Underdog.
Starting point is 01:38:15 Go ahead, download that. That shit was funny. Use promo code GIL, get up to $1,000 in bonus cash, plus a special. Pick him. It was about to cry. Make sure you take hire on K.J. Martin for anything that you do. But Chris Paul added another milestone to his Hall of Fame career on Sunday.
Starting point is 01:38:32 So CP3 inbounded the ball to Wimby, who proceeded to hit a three. The dime was Chris Paul's 12,092nd of his career, passing Jason Kidd for second on the all-time assist list. Paul was honored during the timeout. Did you say 12,000? 12,092nd. 12? 12,092nd.
Starting point is 01:38:52 12,000. Look, Ashley, we're going to have to have a talk. We're going to have to have a talk. Did you just say 12,000? Hey, hey, 12,092nd. Don't look at him. Don't look at him. Whatever you said, I said.
Starting point is 01:39:01 Hey, whatever you said, I said. I'm saying, did you say 12 or 12? No, yep. Don't even look at him. Don't make eye contact. I'm just asking. I'm just asking. Oh, no. Don't do it, Joe.
Starting point is 01:39:18 Don't do it. Oh, my God. You're guilt tripping, Kay. You told me to ask for my feedback. Oh, no. 12,092nd. Oh, shit. And're guilt tripping, kid. You're talking about your ass for my feedback. Oh, no. 12,092nd. Oh, shit. I stumbled on it. I was trying to do the math in my head.
Starting point is 01:39:30 I thought you said 12,000. 12,092nd of his career. Passing Jason Kidd for second on the all-time assistant. I made a check. Check can't even stop laughing. Oh my God. This shit's funny. Y'all are some real haters, but
Starting point is 01:39:46 appreciate it. The chat's like, don't look at him. Don't look at him. I'm just going to read the rest of this with my head down now. 12,092nd of his career passing. Jason Kidd for second on the all-time list. Paul was honored during a timeout. Standing ovation.
Starting point is 01:40:01 Video tribute as the Spurs went on to get the win over the Pelicans. CP3 now has 12,099 career assists, but still got a ways to go to even get within striking distance of John Stockton, who holds an all-time record with 15,806 career dimes. But just reflecting on CP3's career, and we're going to talk Stockton in a second. Please just talk Stockton.
Starting point is 01:40:25 Because there's been a—we'll talk Stockton first, then we'll give CB3 a flower. But there's been an outcry on social media saying some of those assists are foo-gazy. No, real assists. Back then, it was real assists. Back then, it was real assists. There was no to that, gather two-step, put the ball back down, you at home, we gonna get you to lay it.
Starting point is 01:40:43 No. No, fuck that. Let's put some respect on John Stockton. First of all, his durability and his availability is outrageous. Facts. Chad, if y'all are not in the know, go look up John Stockton
Starting point is 01:41:04 each season, how many gamesall are not in the know, go look up John Stockton each season, how many games he played year in, year out. Regular season games, not included. They're making the playoffs every year, too. He was. And deep run. But just look at his regular season games played year in, year out. That's why he has 15,000 assists.
Starting point is 01:41:21 15. Which nobody is going to touch. 15,000. It's one of those, man, like. 17 of the seasons he played every game in that season. 17 seasons? 17 seasons. Not including like a lockout 50-game season, but.
Starting point is 01:41:34 I can tell you this. If he was a. The funny part is. That's light work. If he was a score. Boy. He will have the scoring record. That's right. If he was the actual score. Yeah, he will have the scoring record. If he was the actual score, he will have the scoring record.
Starting point is 01:41:49 I mean, you're talking about 17 seasons. That's why the guy who was passing it to his top... Led the NBA in assists for nine straight seasons. From 88 to 96. On layups. Because it was not like they had people who can actually shoot that motherfucker from out there. Nine straight seasons. Like, it's impressive.
Starting point is 01:42:12 No one's going to break. It's one of those that's not going to be broken. That's what I'm saying. CP3 had to play. That is impressive. Six, seven more seasons even to get close. An average. Yeah. Come on, man. But let's shift it back to CP3.
Starting point is 01:42:24 Yes. Obviously, longevity. But let's shift it back to CP3. Yes. Obviously, longevity. I think he gets the knock because he's never won a ring in his career, but what he's been able to do. Neither did John Stockton. Exactly. Where does CP3 rank amongst the best pure point guards in NBA history? Pure points?
Starting point is 01:42:38 Pure point guard. I can only go into people I've seen play. Yeah. You got, was it Magic, right? Pass first. So just pass first, right? Pass first, yeah. So Magic. So Magic has the most career assists per game in NBA history, 11.2.
Starting point is 01:42:55 Stockton second with 10.5. Trey Young third at 9.7. Oscar Robinson fourth, 9.5. CB, 3.5. But would you have Oscar Robinson as a peer point? I would not. You would not? Okay, okay. So it would you have Oscar Robinson as a peer point? I would not. You would not? Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:43:07 So it would be like Mark Jackson, Steve Nash, J-Kid. Throw magic in there right here. Absolutely. What is he ranked in? Top three, three, four? Four? Three, four? Yeah, because you get... Three, four? Four. Three, four?
Starting point is 01:43:27 Yeah, because you get- You know what our, you know what I think our problems are sometimes? Is we understand durability, but for some reason we don't respect it as we should. Right? So when we say, you know, right? Most likely you probably have, what, J-Kid? Because we're thinking about how the game was played
Starting point is 01:43:52 and how he made it look, right? So when we say pure point, who was a better pure point guard? You're like J-Kid all day, right? And we're not going to give, we're not going to give, you know, CP his credit for lasting longer. We're not going to, he will be considered a tortoise. Right? One's the rabbit, one is the tortoise.
Starting point is 01:44:19 We don't give the tortoise the credit for actually winning the race because the rabbit ran around looking fast and doing all this. But the story is, who won? Nessie! The tortoise actually won. So we do that. We do that a lot where we don't give him the full credit for being great for longer.
Starting point is 01:44:43 Right? Yeah, you might not have been a 10 level, but you was a consistent eight across the board and you finished. There's going to be years where J-Kid was a 10. He was playing like a 10. Yeah. And he was like, well, he played like a 10 for five years.
Starting point is 01:44:58 He played like an eight for 12. Right? That's, you know, you know what I mean? Yeah. And we don't give credit to the longevity of the person being greater for longer. Yeah, no, he is definitely... That is a good point. You have to just look at,
Starting point is 01:45:12 he made guys around him better. Yeah, made teams better. He defended... He defends still. Still defends, yeah. Like, people don't think Chris Paul doesn't defend. Like, Chris Paul defends. In the still defends, yeah. People don't think Chris Paul doesn't defend. Chris Paul defends. In the post, on the perimeter, he competes.
Starting point is 01:45:32 Yeah, so me competing against Chris Paul for years and then playing on the team with him for a season. Yeah, no, he makes everybody around him better. Is that why people don't have him in the conversation as one of the best ever? Because he hasn't won a championship? Yeah, but John Stock makes everybody around him better. Well, is that why people don't have him in the conversation as one of the best ever? Because he hasn't won a championship? Yeah, but John Stockton didn't either, so you still have to put...
Starting point is 01:45:49 Agreed. So you have to... I agree with that. You have to... Because you have to look at what they did with their career. Damn the numbers, right? I mean, damn the rings or not, right? Chris Paul in his 20 seasons,
Starting point is 01:46:01 nine All-NBA selections, including four first teams. Oh, excuse me, 11 All-NBA selections, including four first teams. Oh, excuse me, 11 All-NBA selections, including four first teams. Nine all-defensive selections, including seven first teams. Yeah, no, man, he's a complete basketball player. He is one of the last of his kind. Mm-hmm. So enjoy why he's last, right? And for him to be in a situation he's in now wasn't a mistake. Mm-hm. So, enjoy why it's last, right? Cuz he- Yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:25 And for him to be in the situation he's in now wasn't a mistake. Young big needs a point guard. I speak from experience. Mm-hm. Right? Need a pass first guy to get the best out of that ability. And so, them bringing J. Kidd into my second year was monumental.
Starting point is 01:46:50 J. Kidd, Chris Paul is in my second year. So it's yeah. Spurs 22 wins last season. I've seen 82 games that they're 12 and 12 this season. Like when we okay, when we judge, guys who didn't win championships, right, why don't we ever factor in the organization?
Starting point is 01:47:11 And, like... Because people are limited in their thought process. Like, it's like, like, some of these guys that you say, well, he didn't win a championship, some of these guys
Starting point is 01:47:19 was never on a team that actually even had a chance to win a championship. Like, they never actually got a chance to say, this is a chance. There's no team Chris Paul has been on that went into the year like, oh, they're favored to win, and he failed.
Starting point is 01:47:38 Right? That's never really been the case. Like, him... They weren't favored, but I think the Houston team, him and James, they had the best shot. They had the best shot, but they wasn't like... One of them Clippers teams, they...
Starting point is 01:47:50 But, damn, unfortunately, they... Damn, I don't want to do that. But one of them Clippers teams, they could have, but the coaches that they had... I said they could have, but that's what I'm saying. It wasn't lined up like you said it could have been. But isn't that what we do when we talk about the GOAT? that they had. I said it could have, but that's what I'm saying. It's like, it wasn't lined up like you said it could have been. But isn't that what we do when we talk about the GOAT?
Starting point is 01:48:10 What, championships? Yeah. I know. If you didn't win a championship, you can't be considered in that conversation. But all of them have, so. Like, it's like. Maybe on the men's side. Because your organization, y'all are smarter.
Starting point is 01:48:29 Because you got people that are smarter than the people that I got behind me. Doesn't make you better than me, right? It doesn't, but that's how we do it. Like Allen Iverson, right? Yeah. We can't say he didn't win the championship because he failed. They failed to put anybody with him that was good enough.
Starting point is 01:48:50 Like, they didn't put anybody in that Philly team around him that was going to have him win a championship. Like, it was... I agree with you. You know what I'm saying? But that's what I'm saying. So we can't... When that conversation comes up,
Starting point is 01:49:04 people immediately say, well, he or she can't be in that conversation of dope because they never won a championship. There's just some. Yeah, but like you said, people's thought process don't let them go that deep into it to think about team and organization pieces they didn't have or they didn't build the team around that player's strengths.
Starting point is 01:49:25 People don't think about that. They just look at the individual player. Because you might have a hell of a season, but the pieces around you or that team that the organization put together, like there's no way in hell you're ever going to win the championship. But it doesn't mean that you're not the player that you are. Because everybody that we think of, right, the ones who we consider greats of their era,
Starting point is 01:49:48 that didn't win, that we know of, right? Not the guys that I... Before us, yeah. Charles, Pat. See, Charles had teams that he could have won. Could have, but I'm saying Charles didn't. They don't diminish what he... Did Pat ever have a team that...
Starting point is 01:50:02 I don't think so. Because... Because they're in of East, right? So you're playing against that monster, Karl Malone and Johnson. Yeah, that's what I said. So guys, now you put CP in there, you put who else?
Starting point is 01:50:12 One of the greats. Steve Nash. Steve Nash. You put James Harden in that? Eventually. Yeah, he just never... You have to right now because he hasn't yet. Probably won't.
Starting point is 01:50:28 Probably won't, unfortunately. But it's. But made the playoffs every, you know what I mean. Made the playoffs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You didn't have to make the playoffs, right? That's a great accomplishment. That's consistency but.
Starting point is 01:50:40 Yeah. Whatever you want to add after it. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Whatever you want to add after it, right? Yeah. So there's room for anybody's interpretation of why he didn't, right? He made the playoffs every year, but... Yeah. Right?
Starting point is 01:50:54 But they say didn't win a ring, but obviously you guys have all hooped. Cheryl, you won, you know, four chips in your time. But y'all know how hard it is to actually win those championships. Yes. And when you hear people who've never done it try and diminish and take down somebody's accomplishments, we know how hard it is to actually win those championships. And when you hear people who've never done it try and diminish and take down somebody's accomplishments,
Starting point is 01:51:07 we know how hard it is just to even get to the league at all. Like I said, you got, like, just things you just got to factor in, all of it. Like, you have to factor in it all when you're making arguments about who's the greatest, who's... Um...who's above who. Like, team organization has to play a part. Right? Because just like in football,
Starting point is 01:51:33 I'm pretty sure there's baseball, football, there's a team you get drafted to, it's a grave, it's a graveyard. Right? And you're like, damn, I hope I don't go to that too. However long you're in that graveyard, that's your career. Yeah. Right? So you're sitting there like, I hope I don't go to that, too. However long you're in that graveyard, that's your career. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:46 Right? So you're sitting there like, like I mean before, you got drafted to the Clippers. You can't be, you have no legacy. Like, let's just think about it. Before, like, newer, any Clipper, who gives a fuck how good you were supposed to be? Your legacy was done. You had none. Because it was three years and done. The organization itself was not trying to win. They were just, you come in. You had none. Because it was three years and done.
Starting point is 01:52:05 The organization itself was not trying to win. They were just, you come in, we pay you your rookie salary, you get the fuck on. So three of your years, four of your years is wasted. But that counts against you. Yeah. If you're in Charlotte, what is your legacy? Let's just be honest.
Starting point is 01:52:22 What is your legacy there? You can't be a great. There's a reason all the greats. When you think of the top 50, when you think about the top 50, what is it, 38, 39 came from big city teams? I think the smallest market in top 10, if we think about the top 10 right now, only Tim Duncan from a small market team is in there.
Starting point is 01:52:47 Lakers, Chicago, Boston. What's happening? What the fuck? So being in an organization that's about winning is helpful to your career, right? Dodgers, Yankees, Sox. More Dodgers beyond. What I'm just saying. You land as a baseball player in those three
Starting point is 01:53:07 and you're good, you're a Hall of Famer. The rest of y'all, y'all got to really put in their work. Put in work work just to get to the Dodgers, Yankees, and Red Sox
Starting point is 01:53:21 so people can see who you really are. For the Astros. For the Astros in there too. Astros? Yeah, don't be a hater. Recently. Don't be a hater. Recently, situation's going on.
Starting point is 01:53:33 Recently. In Houston. Oh, you know, we're doing a little, some extra benefits. Everybody talking about LeBron. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. When he went to Miami. Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James.
Starting point is 01:53:43 When he went to Miami, won those suit ships, then he came back. Mm. Hey, y'all. Got my legacy. Come on back home. Thank you, son. Right?
Starting point is 01:53:54 Dip. Dip, bring a chip to Cleveland. He got his badges somewhere else and then came back, just to be honest. That's real. Am I saying something wrong? No, you're not good. No, he did.
Starting point is 01:54:06 He went and got badges somewhere. He got the unlock key somewhere else and then came back because nobody else wanted to come there to help him unlock a small market and win a championship. Tim Duncan won five championships and when you talk about greats, everybody's like,
Starting point is 01:54:21 yeah, yeah, yeah. He's all right, yeah, yeah. Best power forward of the game. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Best power forward in the game. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So what about this Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, Magic, Bird, you know, the big three talk of Boston, Chicago, Lakers greats? That's...
Starting point is 01:54:44 That's fair. That's your teams. That's... That's fair. That's your teams. That's your top ten. Let's keep this moving and talk about a situation going on in South Beach. So news coming out of Miami today. Shams reported that the Heat are open to listening to offers for Jimmy Butler.
Starting point is 01:55:03 Butler reportedly prefers to join a win-now contender if a trade is made. And local reports out of Miami indicate that the Heat star did not speak to media after practice today following the release of this report. So look at the Heat right now. They are 12-10, 12-11. Hold on. You're absolutely 12-10 right now. They are 12-10, 12-11. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:55:28 You're absolutely 12-10 right now, fifth in the Eastern Conference. Jimmy Butler. It's like NIL right now over there, huh? Jimmy Butler, last year of his year, has a player option this summer, so he can become an unrestricted free agent if he so chooses.
Starting point is 01:55:45 So the Heat are kind of in a tough situation. They've got until Black History Month to decide if they want to keep him on the roster or... Yeah, you can't trust Jimmy, boy. That motherfucker... That motherfucker look you right in the eye, be like, yeah, I'm right here with you. And then as soon as he leaves,
Starting point is 01:55:58 right out of that goddamn contract, you get nothing for him. Yeah, there were reports that he won this summer but decided to bet on himself. The Heat did not give him an extension, just based on how the team had been. Pat Riley was pretty stern in saying that they were going to wait and see. I get it. But should the Heat
Starting point is 01:56:13 move Jimmy Buckets before the trade deadline? And, just to be honest, they have no choice. Just turned 35 years old. At this point,, they have no choice. Just turned 35 years old. At this point, they really have no choice because he's one of those. He's like Kawhi. He can go into free agency and then wake up
Starting point is 01:56:38 and just be like, I don't even want to be here no more, and go, and you got nothing for him. Man, he can go to that same team that you was going to trade him for. They just added him. So, you know, it's one of those things where it's like, what do you think Jimmy's going to do?
Starting point is 01:56:54 If you can't confidently say he's not going to opt out, then you have to trade him. I mean, he's surely going to opt out, probably. But it's just a matter of, yeah, am I going to stay here? Or what's the bread going to opt out, probably. But it's just a matter of, yeah, am I going to stay here? Or what's the bread going to look like? Jimmy got some fuck you in his system.
Starting point is 01:57:10 I know, right? A good deal. A good deal of it. He got fuck you in his system to a high degree. So, yeah, to your point. This is just people you you just gotta look at like, his exit in Minnesota, right? Give me the third team, whoop this ass and then do an interview right after talking about
Starting point is 01:57:35 like, yeah, he moves by his own beat. So you know, if you're going to state warriors, you know, you're talking about comminging them, yeah. What about the Bucks? We're all about to say Milwaukee. Moving Middleton, maybe some other pieces. He helped change the culture. Pat? Pat didn't take Middleton, man.
Starting point is 01:58:00 You don't think so? No, probably not him. Unless you can get off his car. He gonna take something back., man. You don't think so? No, probably not him. Unless you can get off his car. He gonna take something back. He can slave for a while. Got some young guys. He gonna need some young guys.
Starting point is 01:58:12 Yeah, yeah. He gonna need some. You got some young talent over there. Put him in the field. You got some young shooters over there. Middleton also in the last year, he has a player option. Oh, so does.
Starting point is 01:58:22 This summer as well. I'm just... has a player option this summer as well. Same situation. If you're going to lose him anyway. You can get something for Jimmy now. But yeah, you may get some other assets. Any big free agents? Like, I don't understand. Like, let's say I have Jimmy and he wants to walk.
Starting point is 01:58:44 Why am I so afraid to let him go and get nothing back I get back money that's what I think I say that initially right I get back to 40 50 million debt that he left with like I didn't bring back some pretty I don't got pieces right I got money that I can use to go get pieces. Like, I'd be confused on why teams be so scared to let players walk. I think the way the CBA is structured now, it makes more sense to keep them and sign them
Starting point is 01:59:18 and then move them that way. You have a little bit more flexibility. Because sometimes that walk don't give you as much cap space as you would hope for, as opposed to retaining them and being able to move them that way, I believe. But, yeah, we're looking at the free agency list. I mean, some names, but... What kind of names?
Starting point is 01:59:37 Yeah, so Kyrie, I believe, has a player option. He ain't going nowhere. Bron got a player option. Brandon Ingram. Julius Randle has a player option. He ain't going nowhere. Bron got a player option. Brandon Ingram. Julius Randle has a player option. Yeah. Miles Turner. I'm just looking.
Starting point is 01:59:54 Yeah, Middleton has that player option. Nas Reed has a player option. D-Lo will be a free agent. Yeah. Then some restricted guys as well in that mix, but... Ooh. How old is Bam? Bam is...
Starting point is 02:00:17 29, 30. He's in his 30s. Bam is 27. Yeah. Yeah. I aged him. Damn. Yeah, so... So you're letting Jimmy...
Starting point is 02:00:30 Bam turns 28 in a second. You're letting Jimmy go because, I mean, you got to keep it kind of decent because Bam's there. You don't want to just waste his years. Got him, Tyler Hero. Tyler Hero. So you got to bring...
Starting point is 02:00:42 Kameka could be good for them. Right? But we had talked about that earlier in the Warrior Session. Do you want to now pair 37-year-old Steph... With Jimmy Butler? Yeah, yeah. Because you already have that... With the 35-year-old...
Starting point is 02:01:01 Is Jimmy that guy, though, to push you over the hump to win a championship with Steph. So I don't... No, I already have... Yeah. I already have a Draymond that keeps order. When we talk about the Warriors, who is... I mean, you ain't talking about Giannis. I'm just saying, like, who is that guy
Starting point is 02:01:17 that make that move and right away it's like, all right. It puts him back being, like, the third, second option where he can just really control the game from the little things he do. Jimmy? There's a lot of what-ifs in this situation, man. But you do think, obviously, with him having the player option, become a free agent, knowing his track record,
Starting point is 02:01:38 of saying, fuck y'all. I'm not even going to take a chance. It's just one of those situations that I can't, you can't afford to take that chance. Right, it's... Like he can literally just wake up and say, all right, I'm going to Philly. I want to be with MB.
Starting point is 02:02:00 Like that's, you get nothing for that. So you're going to have to try to, you know, make a trade and get something back. You're going to have to try to get something back at this point. And other teams know this as well. So probably not going to be everything you want. Tough deal with Pat Riley,
Starting point is 02:02:20 that whole heat culture situation. Even Riley, there's talk about, you know, potentially... Moving him? He might be, you know... Put Spogel up top? Yeah, don't know how much longer he's going to be running things. There's no difference with Spogel. Da Vida.
Starting point is 02:02:36 Then, everybody, we will monitor the situation and see what's going down. So we have some interesting news on the WNBA front. Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has been named Time Magazine's Athlete of the Year. So the award, which has been distributed since 2019, Clark becomes the first WNBA player to ever win this award.
Starting point is 02:03:00 We see the album cover, or excuse me, the magazine cover. I'm not here fucking up. It looked like an album cover and you're done. With the baggy pants. But Cheryl, I'll start with you. What's your reaction to Kaitlyn Clark winning Time Magazine Athlete of the Year? I don't think I'm surprised.
Starting point is 02:03:19 I'm curious to know who the other candidates were, but the fact that that's the very first WNBA player to ever win Time Magazine Athlete of the Year is pretty special. And my question is, like the criteria, is it based off of her performance on the court, which, yeah, she had a great year, or is it more about the impact that she had on the game this season? I'm sure a mix of both. Obviously, WNBA saw record viewership numbers across the board.
Starting point is 02:03:55 Her team's played in a lot of those games. No, I think it's great, not just for her. I think it's great for the league, right? Like everybody talked about the recognition that she brought to the W this season. So for her to be Time Magazine Athlete of the Year, I think it's it's really great for the league. So in the Time article, Clark had a strong quote acknowledging her privilege. Here's what she said. I want to say I've earned every single thing. But as a white person, there is privilege. A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been black players.
Starting point is 02:04:25 This league has kind of been built on them. The more we can appreciate that, highlight that, talk about that, and then you continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible, I think it's very important. I have to continue to try to change that. The more we can elevate black women, that's going to be a beautiful thing. So, yeah, when you hear Kaitlyn say that, because Kaitlyn, obviously, in the media, has been very, you know.
Starting point is 02:04:49 She has a great marketing team. Yeah, I'm not, I'm not. I'm just hooping. She's trying to stay at the barbecue, god damn it, because, yeah. She stayed, she was invited to the barbecue. She got the cookout. But when you hear that, thoughts on Kaitlyn Clark saying
Starting point is 02:05:03 she wants to use her platform to elevate black women in the WNBA. It's been instrumental, obviously, in building that league to what it is. Okay. So what's the... Since it's 2019, right? I mean, we... It's five years?
Starting point is 02:05:23 So... What? Who's 2019? Because I see LeBron. The women's national team in soccer. It was somebody from the... It was the team? The women's national team in soccer.
Starting point is 02:05:33 Won it in 2019? Yeah. The whole team? The whole team. Yeah. Because they won the... The women's World Cup. Okay, so 2020 was LeBron. 2021, Simone Biles.
Starting point is 02:05:48 2022, Aaron Judge. And then 2023, Messi from the soccer world. So this is just probably just the impact of the sport. Little bit of every, I mean, it's a little bit of everything, right? So... Yeah, I mean, no doubt. When you just think about athletes of this year...
Starting point is 02:06:11 Yeah. It's her, uh... the swimmer. What swimmer? For Olympics. Katie Ledecky. Katie Ledecky. Her performance, you know, in the Olympics. You can put Simone Biles back in there. You can put her back in there.
Starting point is 02:06:26 Probably LeBron from his Olympics plus, you know. I mean, hell. From the season Olympics. You can put Asia Wilson in there. That was just basketball. Well, so that's what I'm saying. Was it just the performance on the court or everything else? It's global.
Starting point is 02:06:43 I think it's everything. I think it's everything. Yeah. It's everything. Um... Right? Yeah, it's just... Yeah, I'm trying to figure out who's, like, impact just... Are you saying athlete of the year? You're saying most influential athlete of the year?
Starting point is 02:06:56 Nah, but it's all, like, or... Who in the actual... their sport of play... Yes. It's a little bit of both. Like, when you say it, we just say yes. She impacted the economy, man. Yeah. She impacted for the WNBA.
Starting point is 02:07:07 For sure. Like, you're talking about views. Like, this is college. This is college 2W. So you got to, it's everything, right? So, you know, when you're talking about, you know, athlete, you're talking about her college run. Yeah, the run she had last year. Her college run to.
Starting point is 02:07:24 Into her rookie year to now, to date. Yeah. Yeah, the run she had last year. Her college run to... Into her rookie year, to now, to date. Yeah. The women's college tournament, I believe. All the eyes she brought to the league this year. Yeah. Outperforming the men's. Oh, shit, yeah, yeah. You got to think, yes.
Starting point is 02:07:35 Yeah. Right, as, you know, when you say Asia, you got to be like, well, that's in a W. Caitlyn was college and W. It's a combination of that and just impact, man. So, yeah. I mean, listen, it's good for the W because it just keeps putting a light on the sport
Starting point is 02:07:53 for everybody else to eat. And, you know, sometimes, you know, just as athletes, you know, we are competitive by nature. And, you know, we don't like when someone's getting something that we don't think they deserve when we've been in the game. But we have to understand, the more loaves that someone gets, the more crumbs everybody else gets, if you think of it like that.
Starting point is 02:08:21 If there's only one loaf, right? Can I get a slice? And we get a slice. I want some slices. We get a slice, we get one slice. A whole slice. If this person now has four loaves, we get four slices, right?
Starting point is 02:08:36 And I think the more walls get knocked down, there's more opportunity for everyone to just eat. And, you know, that's the better part. Might be the end piece, but... Yeah, yeah, it might be the end, but fuck it. You know, I'm gonna take it, because I wasn't getting shit before. I hate to say this.
Starting point is 02:08:52 Right? Yeah. Like, I don't give a fuck what they said. Look, I was buying Skims. Now I'm getting it for free, you know? Shit. Something simple as that. Right? Hey, hey. It was a little lemon. Hey, hey. I'm in the W. What's up?
Starting point is 02:09:06 Come on. Calm down. I know, Kaitlin. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on down here. We talked about the Valkyries having their expansion draft. We also talked about the Toronto Tempo coming to the league, I believe, in 2026, if I'm not mistaken.
Starting point is 02:09:20 Who? The Toronto Tempo. Yeah. So two expansion teams joined the WNBA. But in your mind, WNBA expansion good for the league right now to keep riding this wave and this increase of viewership? Or could it have a... What are you laughing at?
Starting point is 02:09:35 I was just trying to figure out, like... Because y'all... You know what? No, never mind. That's my focus. By 2026, y'all going to be in private. It should be all private because I'm commercial flights to... Private planes this past season.
Starting point is 02:09:49 I'm just saying, like, because I'm commercial flights to Toronto, I'm gonna be a motherfucker. Get held up in customs. So hopefully y'all all private by then. I don't play no more, so it doesn't matter. I'm just saying. Chartered flights this season. Hopefully by the 20th. Maybe not the most ideal planes for some teams
Starting point is 02:10:10 and a little kind of janky travel conditions. I'm like, okay. But do you think this expansion is going to be good for the league and helping the growth, or is it going to water things down a little bit, or is that just a necessary evil as the WNBA continues to grow? I don't know. I kind of look at it both sides.
Starting point is 02:10:27 I think it's great, like expansion. I think it's great as far as more opportunity, more jobs, more roster spots, because there's a lot of talent in the college game that gets cut when they come. They get cut because there's not enough roster spots or teams. So from that standpoint, I think it's really good. Because not only are you going to have more teams, more players, more jobs, more roster spots, you know, for players, there's also opportunity for just more jobs for coaches and everything else. You know, the other side of it is, are they expanding too quickly or too fast?
Starting point is 02:11:06 I don't know. Yeah, so 44 games, I believe next season. The finals will be seven game series. And the reason why I say I don't know is because I think people are finally like they're talking about it. They're excited about
Starting point is 02:11:21 it. You got sponsors who want to be a part of it. You just, just, they just want a piece, right? The fact that we're actually seriously, we're actually having this conversation says how much the league has grown and
Starting point is 02:11:35 how excited people are about it. And then when you have players like a Caitlin, a Angel, even a Kate Martin or Rekia Jackson, the, the new class that came in, I felt like they really took it to a different level. They brought in new eyes. They brought in people who never watched the W before.
Starting point is 02:11:54 And if we can continue to go down that route, I absolutely think it's great timing. I think it's good for the league. And I think it's in a good place. So you mentioned Kaitlyn Angel-Reese. Much has been made of that rivalry from college and then heading to the W this season. High school. What? It started in high school. It's been going. But Clark denies that there is any
Starting point is 02:12:16 issue between them in that same time arc. She said, quote, I don't get that at all. We're not best friends by any means, but we're very respectful of one another. Yes, we've had tremendous battles, but when have I ever guarded her and when has she guarded me? So do you agree that there's no rivalry between them? I do. Like, I really do agree with that. First of all, they play two totally different positions. So it's not like they're guarding each other, but it's good for the game, right? It's good for the game for the media to portray
Starting point is 02:12:44 it as, Caitlyn doesn't like Angel, Angel doesn't like Caitlyn. There's a rivalry there. Angel said the same thing. But it's good that people are actually talking about it. And any time you have Chicago playing Indiana, people are going to tune in because it's Angel versus Caitlyn. Yeah, I believe that's going to be the first game to kick off the next season.
Starting point is 02:13:04 Yeah, I think they're playing five times this season. Yeah, they're going to get their bread. But I think that ticket price, I think lowest ticket. Why do you do that? I hate when they do that for the first game. I agree with that. The season's starting anyway. You're going to watch.
Starting point is 02:13:17 Yeah. And then they're playing each other five times. Five. That ticket, though, the lowest ticket price, I think, was higher than 29 of the 30 NBA opening games from this past season, at least according to reports. So, I understand what you're saying, because you've been adamant about that across different sports,
Starting point is 02:13:33 about not wanting to put two of your best teams head-to-head against each other. So, one's got to start with a loss. The reason is, the numbers are already showing that both of them have an impact on viewership. So if Caitlyn's selling 20,000, Angel Reese is selling 15, 16, me putting them together to sell 20,000 makes no sense to me. One already sells 20,000.
Starting point is 02:13:57 One sells 15. So I would rather have them playing somebody else. You play this person. Get your 20,000. If we match you up with somebody, you're gonna get naturally 15. You might fuck around and get 20. It should be a double header.
Starting point is 02:14:11 Put New York, they wanted New York against Angel Reese and either, against Kaitlyn Clark, they both, you can put them against either. Like Dustin said, there's match-ups that you can use that makes sense. You put Asia and Vegas on in game one, you got the rear shift. Back to double header, back to back, got your rear shift.
Starting point is 02:14:30 Right? Yep, I'll put Kaitlin second. No doubt. Put Angel first, Kaitlin second, so you forcing them to watch fucking three hours of TV. So they're playing that game right now, it's scheduled in Game Bridge Fieldhouse. I mean, it's one thing if you do that game,
Starting point is 02:14:44 you do it in Lucas Oil stadium where the Colts play, and you try to now smash in the tennis room. You know, make it. How about this? They're still learning. That's all of it. All we can say is when it comes to capitalizing right now, they're still trying to figure it out.
Starting point is 02:14:59 Yeah, but we saw that with the Fever Sparks game this year where it was supposed to be, I believe, at Long Beach State. Moved it back to crypto. Ended up getting record crowd in there. So if you want to make a spectacle out, I can see that. But Cheryl, like you mentioned, they're going to play each other five times. So, you know, Ritz is going to be doing several points throughout that season. We're going to get those numbers back where they need to be.
Starting point is 02:15:19 Yeah, that, I don't know, five times to me just seems a little... Is it too thirsty? A little much. Yeah. In a sense of... It's almost like you're trying to force the rivalry or you're trying to force something. Like, five times is like, really?
Starting point is 02:15:39 Because to your point, regardless of who Indiana is playing, you're going to get 20,000 people. Mm-hmm. And Angel's going to bring another 15, 16, you're going to get 20,000 people. Mm-hmm. And Angel's going to bring another 15, 16, 17, 18, maybe 20. Mm-hmm. So, like, do you think by having them play each other on opening night, you're going to get 40,000? No.
Starting point is 02:15:58 Right? 20. Sold out. There's no extra tickets you can buy. Like, I just don't... But what about from the TV standpoint, though? Because obviously you got the live game viewership, the audience that's going to be there,
Starting point is 02:16:10 but then you got the millions of people at home. I mean, there's better match-ups, right? Like, you want both of them doing what they're doing so when they do meet up, it's like the championship. You're not building the championship. Why not put one of those games versus the defending champions? Because people are going to want to watch
Starting point is 02:16:34 the Liberty also. And so if you have the Liberty versus the Fever, that's a pretty good game for them. You have Angel versus Asia. Yeah. like that's a it's a pretty good game for you have you have uh angel versus aces yeah asia yeah right right that's cooked though i'm just yeah yeah but it don't matter you have page beckers right who's going to dallas that everybody is talking about so let's do page beckers versus
Starting point is 02:17:02 caitlin clark that's more of a rivalry. That used to be the order. Yeah, it was Paige Beckers, Kaitlyn Clark. And then Paige got hurt and she had all the injuries. Like, people are excited about that rivalry. Yeah. Really, we're all just building up to when Juju comes out, I think, at the end of the day.
Starting point is 02:17:23 Yeah, just like, you know, right now it's, right now it's, you know, the Demi should sit around. They should really sit and think about everything moving forward. Like, this is not just put a schedule together. It's like, there might be a year where they only play each other twice. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:17:39 Right, if you really want to, if you really want to milk it. And you're really going to watch it. Yeah. Because you're like, well, they're only playing each other twice. If you really want to milk it, I would're really going to watch it. Yeah. Because you're like, well, they're only playing each other twice. If you really want to milk it, I would not have played them motherfuckers this year. Not five times.
Starting point is 02:17:50 Mm. I wouldn't have played them. You're going to have the opposite effect, you think, with the five? I'm just saying, I wouldn't have played them this year. I think people are still going to watch. But I think it has a different effect if you know. You oversaturate those at that point.
Starting point is 02:18:02 If you know they're only playing each other once, right? Then you're like, damn, I got to make sure I watch this game. Boy, that's a hot ticket. Yeah, but you know they're playing each other five times, so you're like, well, I can miss the first three. Yeah, yeah. Ain't in no hurry. I ain't going to play again.
Starting point is 02:18:17 Yeah. Yeah. But if it's high quality, for example, like a show like Gilderina presented by Underdog that's on four days a week, You're gonna pull up every single day cause you never know what to expect. But you know the crew and the talent are gonna put together the best show possible. And with that in mind, let's move on to Mostly Fans.
Starting point is 02:18:34 Presented by our friends at Underdog. If you haven't done so already, please download the app, use promo code GIL, get up to a thousand dollars in bonus cash, plus a special pick-em. So. That song gets me, that music gets me every time. Yep.
Starting point is 02:18:46 Okay. First question from Underdog User. I had to read it twice. Yep, in my gray tee. How many threes and free throws y'all made in a row in practice? Did y'all ever see a teammate get hot like Dwight Howard said he made like 80 in a row in practice? The most threes you've made in practice? What's the most free throws in a row?
Starting point is 02:19:08 Do you care about those type of things? Sure, I see too many to remember. No, I just, because I really count how many I made in a row. It wasn't that. I was just working on, I need to make some shots. So, I don't know. I've never really. Free throws, I would probably count because I'm like, all right, I got to make X amount in a row before I move on make some shots. So, I don't know. I've never really... Free throws, I would probably count,
Starting point is 02:19:25 because I'm like, all right, I got to make X amount in a row before I move on to something else. But, um... I know it wasn't like Dwight Howard, 80. Hmm. See, I... Okay, so, we used to do that 100 three-point. Um, it was the, uh, Boston. Uh, Steph has the three-point. It was the Boston. Steph has the, what is it, 95 and 94.
Starting point is 02:19:50 I have 100 out of 104. I have 97 out of 100. OK, threes. Yeah, but I don't remember how many I made in a row, though. Like, I don't know how, like... Is there something you actually shouldn't even care about? Like not... Because the reason I don't know is because when I did those, I had my earphones on and
Starting point is 02:20:18 then from there it's just empty thought. Right? That's all shooting is. Who can not think? Right? You know, like when you're shooting, you start thinking about, did I leave think? Right? You know, like, when you're shooting, you start thinking about, did I leave the oven on? You know, where my phone at? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 02:20:29 So, right? So, you start messing with yourself. You start thinking. So, who can have, who can empty out their thoughts the longest? Yeah, for sure. You know, so, like, when I heard, you know, Curry, when he made 95, he made, what, like, 80 in a row? So, you know, I'm like, damn, I don't even know how many I, like when I heard, you know, Curry, when he made 95, he made what, like 80 in a row? I'm like, damn, I don't even,
Starting point is 02:20:47 I don't even know how many I made in a row. Like, I just don't have that number. No. No clue. Who's counting while you're working out? It looks great in practice. What happens when there's a hand in your face with 20,000 people in the area?
Starting point is 02:21:00 You're doing it for that, but. I mean, I know it's like, I know, like, just, like, stuff I can remember, like, 42, like, just jumpers, like, you know, you're counting, playing against, you know, Sam Cassell or something. You know what I mean? Like, we're shooting and, you know, trying to beat him. Like, other than that, it's like, when it got to working out and I'm shooting,
Starting point is 02:21:21 like, 100, you know, 500 shots, yeah, I don't. OK. For sure, for sure. Let's move on to our next question from underdog user 14flat. How much do you think Zion would benefit from a change of scenery? Mm.
Starting point is 02:21:40 Yeah, I think it'd be uniform. 100%. 100%. I just don't think just the atmosphere itself, the gym, wherever he lives, them roads, right? It's just the whole thing just brings the spirit down at this point. But New Orleans is just a big distraction.
Starting point is 02:22:03 They got gumbo everywhere, Cheryl. I'm a bigger gentleman, too. But it ain't like New Orleans gumbo. That's what I'm saying. But I'm saying everywhere in New Orleans, everywhere you go around the city, they got gumbo. There's too much gumbo.
Starting point is 02:22:15 But it's just got a lot going on there. You know what? That is the problem. It's a lot going on. If you think about New Orleans and you think about food, that's a problem. It is. They have a... It's a lot going on. A lot of culinary art. A lot of lot going on. If you think about New Orleans and you think about food, that's a problem. It is.
Starting point is 02:22:25 They have a... It's a lot going on. A lot of culinary art. A lot of food going on. Yeah, and if you're not disciplined enough to be like, you know what? In addition to Popeye's, which we have all across the country,
Starting point is 02:22:38 but New Orleans Popeye's is different, as you all know. You'll do it every time. I think about that kid when he was like, yeah, New Orleans, and the first thing that comes is food. Oh, it is? Beignets and mmm. It's bad. Chard board.
Starting point is 02:22:51 Chard board. Chard board, oysters. Yeah. Like, if you tell an NBA player, yeah, you're going to go to Miami, the first thing he thinks about is what? Food. Shrub club.
Starting point is 02:22:59 No, the work. The work. Oh, Miami. You said Miami. Miami, Atlanta, Shrub Club. Yeah. They ain't no food. We don't need to eat? No. Oh, Miami. You said Miami. Miami, Atlanta. Miami, yeah. There ain't no food. We don't need to eat. No.
Starting point is 02:23:08 You eat there. You eat at the club. But that's just... Not food. You know what I mean? So I just think that he needs to get out of that city itself just to cleanse himself. The fact that he's only, what, 25?
Starting point is 02:23:22 Like, I just... He needs a change of syndrome. He needs a change of syndrome. I just think, you know... You need to change his syndrome. He just needs to change his syndrome. I just think, you know... He needs to get out of New Orleans. And another thing that you got... Only 24 turned 25 next summer. Oh, my Lord.
Starting point is 02:23:31 So... What is the medical staff like for the Pelicans, bro? I'm just, I don't know. I'm just, this is the question, right? Do we need to get away from them? Is this this tension? Is this this? Like, you done fucked me up so much,
Starting point is 02:23:50 I don't want to touch y'all. Yeah, like, oh, I've been there. Yeah, you can't prescribe me aspirin. I'm good. And that's why I talk about people's greatness, right? I can tell you right now, there's 30 NBA teams. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:24:06 And there's 30 medical staffs, and then there's a ranking in those. Yeah, one got to be the best. One has to be the best, one has to be the last. Yeah. Same thing with, like, just locker rooms. There's the best, and then there's the last. Right? So when you're talking about why is he always injured,
Starting point is 02:24:26 you have to think about where this medical staff might be ranked. Like when we played, like you had knee surgeries, ankle surgeries. Phoenix? Hey, let's get down to Phoenix. They know something down there. People whose hurt is coming back over there, they have a different medical staff versus other teams. Right? Something over there, they knew how to get staff versus other teams. Right?
Starting point is 02:24:45 Something over there. They knew how to get their players back healthy. You know, so it's... That's a real thing. So when we say he's always hurt, it's like, there's more medical staff at this point. Who's the vet on their team? CJ McCullough.
Starting point is 02:25:02 Probably, right? Good vet. But it's not a vet for him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. To follow up to that question, what's the ideal city for Zion, just for health purposes? To get back healthy? I don't know if it's a city.
Starting point is 02:25:17 Utah. Probably a player. I mean, I would say Miami, just knowing, but I don't know. Oh, fuck. He wouldn't be able Oh, fuck. Fuck. He wouldn't be able to handle it. Fuck no. No.
Starting point is 02:25:28 He's cultured, Gil? Hell no. Gil? Huh? Utah, say that in Utah. Ooh, you got to have. That air is musty in Salt Lake City. Musty air, that's, you know, you got to give
Starting point is 02:25:39 John Stockton even more love. Cali? Los Angeles, perhaps? City closes at 2 for him, so it ain't really. I mean, you can still find after spots, but it's still 2 PM. Is that a thing for him? What? Does he go out?
Starting point is 02:25:53 In the Eddie Winslow film? No, he don't go out. But some of the things that he attaches to, he looking like we looking. He's googling, worst females possible. Hey, you looking for females, I'm like, doctor, swipe. Lawyer, swipe.
Starting point is 02:26:12 Stay-at-home girl, swipe, swipe. Right? Stripper, here we go. Right up my alley. Right up my alley. You know what I mean? So there's really certain cities, and then it still has to be what type of people,
Starting point is 02:26:27 what type of players that are going to be in the locker room with him that can help him in that journey, right? So, you know, having him around somebody like Giannis, that'll help. Right? You know, doing the extra work, keeping his body fit, that can help. You know what I mean? Just seeing a guy who probably take care of his body, who lives, who does all the extra stuff,
Starting point is 02:26:47 you need those. Hanging out with a whole bunch of skinny 20 year olds that's talking about drinking and going to eat, that don't help. Like him hanging around Brandon Ingram, eh. Brandon Ingram like, yeah, let me get four of them hamburgers.
Starting point is 02:27:03 Me too. Like, wait, no, no, wait, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa. Different metabolism. Whoa, wait a minute. What is that like a... This is not monkey see, monkey do here. Half a burger is for you, and that's...
Starting point is 02:27:17 Like a Golden State. Like Draymond and Steph. And that can really micromanage. Like, that's what he needed. Like, he needed good, great habits early in his career. Yeah. Yeah. But, like, I mean, you pointed out your regimen
Starting point is 02:27:33 when you hit the fourth season with... Yeah. I mean... Trust me, man, listen. It's there. I'm not even going to lie. Like, we had a team that came in, like, you know, the guards. Like, you know, Larry was thin, right?
Starting point is 02:27:45 Then we had Antonio Daniels, who got in shape. Antoine Jamerson always stayed in shape. Brennan Haywood, you know, Etan, damn, he only ate salads, right? Salads, his worst thing he ate was chips, right? He had to eat one bag of those a day. Then we had Michael Ruffin, who looked like Rambo 2. What's that, Rambo 2? Cut up my goddamn action figure.
Starting point is 02:28:06 Yeah, right? So I'm sitting around dudes that just took care of their bodies, right? So I used to get on a trip. I'd get on a scale all the time. And I remember I got on that. That motherfucker said, damn, 224. I done freaked out.
Starting point is 02:28:21 Man, it was drinking all that, trying to figure out how. I was drinking all the Gatorades. You know, so then we had to go to G2 and then pour half of that out to put water. And, you know, drink three, you know, that grape G2 was crack. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:28:37 Grape G2. I got to throw half of that out, put regular water in there with some electrolytes. You know, so it's just being around a team that really take care of themselves. I wouldn't mind him being in, uh... Uh... Boston.
Starting point is 02:28:55 Mm. They look like, you know, a group that, like, hold each other accountable. No, he just got to respect the people that's talking to him. Somebody who can identify with, you know, the problem he has. This his third season? No. Four? Six?
Starting point is 02:29:09 Oh, damn. I know that's what I'm saying. He's been in too long that the habits. Yeah. Now you're trying to break all the bad habits that he's done collected over here. Wow. Strip club and all that stuff. Stuff that just makes him feel good mentally.
Starting point is 02:29:24 Trust me, man. That shit hard, man. Like, when you see a young kid come in and he pick up real bad habits early, you be like, yeah, that's old for a young fella. That's old for you, man. You sitting already at the strip club taking shots, you know, living that life. You ain't going to get out of that. All right.
Starting point is 02:29:42 Well, our last question from underdog user BucketGitter207. I don't know who 206 and 205 are, but this is BucketGitter207. Cheryl, this question for you. I don't know why you would make yourself
Starting point is 02:29:54 the 207th BucketGitter on the list. BucketGitter number one. Okay, okay. He was born. Area code two. All right, I will take it back. The question for you, Cheryl. For me. 40 years girl, she don't know. Area code, too. All right, I will take it back. But question for you, Cheryl.
Starting point is 02:30:05 For me? 40 years girl, she don't know. It don't matter. There's something important to add 207 on it. Cheryl, do you think Juju Watkins would be the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft if she was eligible? Yeah. No question.
Starting point is 02:30:26 Yeah. When question. Yeah. When is this year's draft? If she was eligible. If she was eligible this year. Yeah, I do. No, I'm talking about the year that's coming up. This next one. The 2025.
Starting point is 02:30:39 The 2025, if she was available this year, she's the number one pick. In the 2025 WNBA. Yeah, that would be, that's Paige Becker's class. Yeah. Right? 2025. Yeah. Yeah. And it's no disrespect to Paige.
Starting point is 02:30:54 I love Paige Becker's, love her game. Paige is going to be really good. But Juju is, Juju built different. Yeah, that is a fair assessment. I picked the wrong college, but other than that, everything else, you know, can't fall different than that. Well, speaking of colleges, AJ. Yeah, we're going to talk about that tomorrow.
Starting point is 02:31:15 Oh. We're also going to talk about, uh, Is that? Huh? I'm not going to be here tomorrow, but y'all going to talk about it tomorrow. Is that's his religion? He Mormon?
Starting point is 02:31:25 Hell no! Seven million. That money Mormon. That money, whatever that is. Wherever you, I don't give a fuck. That he's playing, I thought. If you give me seven million, I'll support any God, whatever.
Starting point is 02:31:35 I'm with it, but can he? Is that number? They said seven million, that boy put what, hat? Yeah, I got the little, the little Mormon hat. Got it, got it. What does y'all need me to wear? Cause he gonna beat up eight months, so. Whatever, I don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 02:31:53 Yeah, he gonna beat up eight months. He'll learn about soaking amongst other things in the Mormon religion. He said, is he Mormon? And he's like, no, he's black, he's black. He can act like it. You gotta pay attention when I talk, all right? That's it.
Starting point is 02:32:07 That's that $8 million. We Mormon. We don't have folks. And Gil, I did not tell you, but I signed Elijah to a 360 deal, so we will be figuring our situation out, too, as we get ready for this market. We're fielding all offers, no school. Trust me, you ain't the only one who's trying to sign him to a 360. I can tell you that for sure.
Starting point is 02:32:25 I'll make it 359 and get one degree back. He can get one back, Gil. Let's get off there. Somebody's like, yeah, you know, we're going 50-50. Whatever you make, I get 50%. Like, wait a minute. Hold up. Wait a minute, Shug.
Starting point is 02:32:40 Now you're the Shugger. Bob, he's like, what does that mean? I was like, all right, I'm just looking at your life. All right, so look, this is how this works. We're going to take this dollar, right? Right? The government going to take half. So that's 50.
Starting point is 02:32:55 So you want half of the other half. And then somebody else want half of the 50, right? So you got 25. If you get married, she going to be trying to get higher. So that $1 you made, $12 in 50 cents. Brother, you broke. Well said.
Starting point is 02:33:15 And on that note, Cheryl, we appreciate you, as always, for pulling up to Arena looking magnificent in your Gills Arena Season 3 merch, where as a general consumer, you can buy at gillsarenamerch.com. Kenya, appreciate you as well. Okay, we also got
Starting point is 02:33:30 some Kenya sweaters. I suggest I suggest y'all better redo them sweaters. Y'all better think about George Carl. It was halftime. Kenya, what sweater? I didn't them sweaters. Y'all better think about George Carl. It was halftime. Katie, your sweater.
Starting point is 02:33:49 I didn't see your sweater. Oh, you weren't here for the bullshit. No. My mistake. My mistake. My mistake. I should have known better. No.
Starting point is 02:33:58 Oh, you didn't see the bullshit they made for me? Oh, did they make you? No. Oh, did y'all make sure of the sweater? No. Oh, they fucked us. I didn't even have a sweater. Oh, I got it.
Starting point is 02:34:05 Oh, hey, I'm snitching, too. Hey, sure, they spelled your name wrong on that thing. They just did it. On what? On this? I'm telling. Wait a minute, on what? Y'all put a fucking Christmas tree on the sweater for me.
Starting point is 02:34:15 I'm telling. Wait a minute. Damn, Nino. I'm telling. This shit bigger than Nino Brown. Damn, Nino. Ah. Ah.
Starting point is 02:34:23 They spelled my name wrong. On this thing right here. The thing that they got the fake dog. Oh, it looks correct to me, Sheryl. I don't know what you're talking about. Look at it. They corrected it. She said, I'm going to look at it.
Starting point is 02:34:33 I'm going to look at it. Oh, no. Not the glasses. The fact that they put the fake stuffed animal dog. Freedom. On Freedom on the list before me. Yeah. Before me as well, K.
Starting point is 02:34:43 I'm snitching. Absolutely. I said I was going to tell, too. They thought I was bullshitting. It'd be well, K. I'm snitching. I'm snitching. Absolutely. I said I was going to tell you, too. They thought I was bullshitting. It be so much shit going on when I ain't here. But listen, so we designed Christmas sweaters. So they wanted us to design Christmas sweaters, right?
Starting point is 02:34:54 So they gave all the crew the opportunity to design on a Christmas sweater, right? Uh-huh. I said I didn't care, right? I'm an open book. I don't... Just think of something, right? So you didn't design one? I didn't. I said, just think of something, right? Y'all know me. I've been on this motherfucker
Starting point is 02:35:07 since season one. Okay. Think of something. Guess what they put on the fucking shirt. I don't know. Fucking Christmas tree. Just Christmas tree. Yeah, I'm told it is actually a Quasar tree.
Starting point is 02:35:20 What's wrong with a Christmas tree? When you think of me to design something... It wouldn't have been a Christmas tree. Thank you, Cheryl. No. Right? Okay, just so you know. A long list of shit.
Starting point is 02:35:30 That's Rashad's. Yeah. That's Brendan's. Yeah. That's Nick's. That's mine. That's Alexi. It's Kenya's.
Starting point is 02:35:38 So yours looks like Lexi's. Thank you. Hershey gonna have rhinestones on it, they said. Okay, we can get you rhinestones if you want. At least you got one. We will, we will, no. Like I said, sure, like I said, listen.
Starting point is 02:35:52 So they buy, so you buy one of theirs and they give you mine for free. Right, I'm hearing reports though that your sweater is moving though. So first color was gray, right? The first one they sent, the color was gray. Then I look up and it's some bullshit burnt orange. All right?
Starting point is 02:36:07 Damn. In honor of Texas, a fine state. But that's not, that wasn't the thought process, trust me. No. At least you have one. They didn't even ask me what my favorite color was, right? They could've like, but then. Who was that, is that Steve?
Starting point is 02:36:22 No, no, Steve had nothing to do with this. See, so my thing is, right? Well, that's what you think, Ken. So, no, Steve didn't. Trust me. Because Steve would have said that. So this is where my thought process is behind it, right? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:36:33 When you came up with the design. Mm-hmm. Did they show it to you? Thank you, Cheryl. When you think, like, let me show him this to see. Yeah, and be like, do you like this? Because when have I ever been quiet on this motherfucker? That's.
Starting point is 02:36:45 Never. Thank you. Fair. Got something to say. At least you have one. That's fucked up they didn't make one, sure. That you can be mad about. That's fucked up they didn't make one, sure. We're in the process of addressing yet another group. See, the problem we have is... I don't have a face.
Starting point is 02:36:58 Why we got to keep addressing shit for y'all to make sure her just do is what I'm... None. I merely host Kenyon, as you know. That's all it says in my contract. None. I merely host Kenyon. Mine have two... Mine have two...
Starting point is 02:37:08 Ha-ha-ha! Nuts. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. See? You speak the truth. Shebo in here. Shebo. Hey. Shebo means steepo.
Starting point is 02:37:16 Hey. Man. I can tell you this. Rashad's is sold out. See? Oh. Oh. Of course. He had a great design. That's a really good design. Ken, we will get your theirs as well. But on that note, this has been a- Oh, we've been on the air the whole time.
