Welcome back to Gills Arena, presented by Underdog.
Whoop-Woo!
Thursday here in the arena. How everybody feeling?
Fly.
Look at fly. You up. A brooch, I believe.
A brooch.
Not a roach.
What is it? Some light.
Something like.
I cannot afford, but.
You see something on his shirt? It's a roach.
It's not a brooch.
Damn food
Ladies, gentlemen, we are back
We are back
Flick it off
That's all you do, you know

See, mine is the only one that comes with that.
It's only in a certain of my people that come like this.
That's real?
I thought my shit fell off.
They didn't get those.
They didn't get old.
They did get old out.
You crazy as hell.
Wow.
Gildon got one, Swag.
No, no.
It's a basketball.
He liked this with a basketball.
It's just a regular.
Okay.
It's a regular.
Next is Swaggy.
Represented Tough Crowd.
Tough Crowd University.
We got Mr. B.
Brandon, Jenny.
And on this side of the couch, we have the distinguished gentleman from Oak Clip, former number one pick, Canyon Martin, back here with us.
And last but not least, the man they call Championship Charles, Money Making Sonny, the dream killer, amongst other things.
Cemetery Larry, Rashad McCann, NCAA champion of the world.
Got that bill.
So, Shah, I saw you in the Cooper flag jersey yesterday.
we will have some things to discuss relating Cooper.
Okay.
It's okay.
It's the familiarity or lack thereof
with certain facets of NBA history.
But here's what's cracking in Gil's arena today.
The Warriors were stagnant this offseason
waiting for Caming's deal to get done.
Do the dubs have enough to be competitive
in the West this season?
Wimby had a productive offseason after his sophomore year
was cut short by injury.
How much of a leap will the Spurs
and their franchise player take in year three?
And Dallas is experimenting with number one pick.
Cooper Flag running the one this season while they wait for Kyrie to return.
What's the math ceiling with or without Kyrie this season?
But before we get into all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog.
New Underdog users, we got a special deal for you.
Use code Gil.

we're out audio versions available on Apple, Spotify,
wherever you get your podcast.
So we talked about the Lakers.
Yesterday, let's talk about the other team in Los Angeles.
Clippers is one of the biggest stories this off season
after a bombshell report from respected journalist Pablo Tori
on his Pablo Tori finds out show.
Tori is a legend that Clippers owner Steve Balmer
circumvented the salary cap by funneling bred to Kauai
through a partnership with a green banking company called Aspiration,
the crux of potential salary cap circumvention
is that Balmer reportedly invested $50 million
in aspiration in September 2021
with the Clippers agreeing to a $300 million
sponsorship deal with the company that same month
in April 2022
the company allegedly gave Kauai
a four-year $28 million no-show sponsorship deal
nine months after Kauai signed an extension
with the Clippers. God is good.
Getting paid not to work.
Getting paid not to work. Ladies and gentlemen,
so Bombers claimed he was scammed by the company
did nothing wrong. League is investigating the situation
but doesn't expect to finish that investigation
until after All-Star break,
which is mighty convenient considering Bomber
and the Clippers are hosting All-Star Weekend
in Los Angeles this February.
So Adam Silver previously said he was unaware
of aspiration for acknowledging he was aware of the company
and recently was reported
that the NBA vetted and approved
the $300 million sponsorship deal
between the Clippers and aspiration in 2021.
So, I mean, who don't like to get paid not to work?
So a question for you, fine gentleman, on this couch.
Do you guys have any issue with Bomber
allegedly giving Kauai a no-show job to put some extra bread in his pocket.
We know who don't have a problem with it.
Yeah, I got amnesty.
That's the same thing.
$66 million not to show up.
Damn.
Sit on the couch.
Oh, yeah.
Dame Lennon right now getting paid not to show up.
They've got the $1.13.
I got a problem with it.
Mr. M.M.
What's your problem with Kauai getting bread under the table?
Allegedly for a no-show job.
Well, I have a problem with it coming out.
And I think the fact that, you know,
you've got these small market teams that can't keep players
and you got this owner that's just buying players, basically.
I know it's been going on and happening,
but it just shows how corrupted the league could look like.
I mean, you already have trust issues with the NBA
because of the Donahey gambling thing.
And now you've got an owner out here just paying players under the table.
It's kind of like, okay, so this is what the league is about.
I mean, you already, like, the fans already got trust issues.
Everybody already think it's already a scam and already think it's, they already got their favorite.
So it's like, this is coming out again.
The Clippers is on some bullshit again.
Balmer, the richest owner.
I feel like, they're not doing nothing, though.
I feel like if they was winning, it would be an issue.
But this clip isn't going to clipper.
So you're just paying people just to pay people just, just like a homie, huh, man.
You go $28 million just to.
Yeah, but it's good.
I don't mind it, but I'm saying it's getting out.
So now it's like...
You mind that it's getting out.
Yeah, I just got a problem with it getting out.
Like, it's bad business.
Like, you're supposed to be this business guy
and you're getting your business coming out like that.
It's kind of sloppy.
Well, Aspirations filed for bankruptcy.
Obviously, Pablo Tori spent hours and hours researching,
checked the bankruptcy filing,
saw that Kauai had a company in there,
K-O-2 Aspirations, the LLC.
That was Oates and Bread that he did not receive.
I mean, that's like a side chick coming out on you.
right and it's not your fault she decided to come out right i can't hold you accountable for that um
you know what i mean but that you know what i mean when they're like don't let it don't let it
i don't want to see it in my face like it wasn't in your face we was doing it behind your back
right you know not with bit i mean we expect a chick to say something no what i'm saying
no no no no no no no all the time yeah but what i'm saying tell me what chick hold water
honesty, I think my whole is right.
I think my work is honest.
I think my work is honest.
But I'm pretty sure they didn't do the deal for the deal to come out.
Your work is honest.
Nah, yeah, sometimes.
They just forgot they raised the shit off that line, bro.
That's all.
A lot of line items on you.
There was a lot of line item.
They just forgot that one.
They forgot that one and they just,
this dude who ain't got nothing that's better to do with his time.
And go, like, how bored you got to be.
No, no, no. This is what he do.
He finds out. He's a journalist. He do his job.
All right. Very well.
Pablo Torrey finds out. He'd be finding the shit out.
I'll go look a few places, too. Go look over there.
So he's just decided to look at that or someone told him to go look over there.
At the end of the day, it's this.
I think somebody told him.
At the end of the day, it's really about a week.
It's really about a salary cap.
A salary cap is a way for the,
broker owners to have
a chance against
the richer owners. So they
try to even the playing field by putting
this hard cap on and say,
we all play under the same
umbrella. So if you make a million
or you make a billion,
we all are eating
at the same table.
And someone who's making more
money, I don't want to eat at your table.
I'm sorry.
There's a first class
for a reason. There's first class.
Then there's some extra shit back there.
I wouldn't know because I don't sit back here.
Then there's there's shit by the door, the bathroom, right?
Deal with that.
If I make way more money than you, don't tell me how to spend it.
So if I want to secretly pay you one to the table, I'm going to do it.
Okay, so then if I want to go recruit other players.
Do it.
Then let me, and don't find me.
Nobody, who does?
They do find players.
Huh?
Do we want to look into how Greek is staying over there and how his brother getting paid?
Come on, we funneling the money somehow.
Everybody's doing.
Milwaukee ain't got no money.
Because Milwaukee ain't got no money to keep Greek over there,
but Greek is staying there.
Happy and smile,
and I guarantee if they start looking in his portfolio,
he got builders that he didn't pay for.
But let it be known, though.
No, no.
Because we've got to let it be known with everything else.
It's been going on for years, man.
Legacy.
Come on, man, this is business.
Yeah, but it's getting out there, though.
So now this is another issue.
Come on.
Hey, hey, there's me.
All right.
Okay.
Hey, all them boys is over in Golden State.
I'm pretty sure they got a lot of investments
that they didn't know nothing about it.
They don't know about it.
We don't know about their money in real things.
I believe it.
That's what happens.
I mean, yeah, when you're winning, that's what happened.
But I said, I can't pay you because of this salary cap.
But look, my boy's starting up a company.
It's about to go rush today.
Put some money in.
I'm not mad about that.
Boom, you're going to blow.
I'm not mad about that.
But why are you letting it get out?
It's not like he let him.
I thought it got out.
You got too much money to let.
You got out.
Paul George's told.
Let's shift over this side, Cemetery Larry.
You tell me how to spend my money.
I like the jacket.
I just want you to know.
I appreciate it, man.
I know too much about this shit.
I know way too much.
Can you say what you feel comfortable and safe saying without?
We did what?
Collective bargaining agreement twice already?
No, 1999.
There's been a few.
I think we were in the rest of this.
2011?
Mm-hmm.
I was in 2008.
2005.
These things happen to balance the sheets for all the owners.
And then when they kicked Donald Sterling out, they paid them how much money?
Two billion dollars believe the team or so far.
He got 1.2 of that, if I'm not mistaken.
Some people believe that was overpriced.
So when you overpriced a sale for somebody who has unlimited money can come in, it's an unfair
playing field now.
So now everybody can ramp up their sheets.
based on where he starts.
He's up here, everybody else is down here.
Who's the only one that can play unfair?
Him.
So what's come out is he's been playing unfair
because he overpaid for a franchise.
10 billion for the Lakers.
Is that overpriced?
Barely.
So now the Lakers can potentially
do what they need to do to make moves
because the cap goes up for a certain guy.
So it's like Pablo finally found out that it's,
he found out this shit was going on with the leverage of the playing field,
like you're saying.
If we're going to play fair,
they're going to be another collective of bargaining agreement.
Everybody's going to go back to the drawing board and figure out,
hey, man, how can he,
how is he being able to do this with them, man, we're not.
That's all the difference is.
It's just numbers and dummies that don't want to read the numbers and figure out what's really going on.
Bombers feels like he's smarter than other people.
Who jumped out in front of bomber to say, hey, hey, hey, hey, guys.
The other person who was doing it?
Mark Cuban stepped in trying to stop shit.
Pablo crushed him too.
Mark, we know what you was doing to in 2011.
Trying to balance the motherfucking books after winning the championship and not bringing none of them players back to win another one.
But nobody found none of this shit out, so nobody really fucking cares.
But now that they found it out, God should care.
And not about Kauai getting money under the table, because we talked about this on the
Mons podcast, Joe Smith, when Timberwolves, when he was supposed to get that money from them,
they crushed them.
Timberwolves paid for that.
So now we're looking at a situation where we're going to continue this trend.
If I'm the bucks, I'm trying to figure out how I can get...
If I'm New York, if I'm, everybody trying to figure out.
Pablo and the midst of finding out about Brunce's deal with the name.
But could this bring an issue though, like another lockout or something?
Like if people are finding out that, okay, well, this is what they're doing?
Okay.
Adam Silver works for who?
The owners.
The owners.
Yeah, the owners.
So if we're all doing it, are you really going to find something out?
In February come, are you going to find out that I'm doing something wrong?
No.
You're rich as owner.
He's the richest owner.
I'm the richest owner.
You're really going to find out if I did something wrong.
And then you got, you know, you got a New York over there sitting here like,
so what's you going to do, boss?
You're going to look at us next.
You got Mickey over in Miami sitting there like, yeah, what's you over there doing?
Mickey ain't even did nothing yet.
I remember there wasn't a Lamar James and it was.
Yeah.
I mean, they got billboard.
They got everything that they needed.
It's, it happens.
right it's it's not something that nobody else in that sport has tried to keep their team right
there's a salary cap that's a handicap to some people and they got to try to figure out around
it i mean if you look at football if you go back san francisco san francisco 409ers winning all those
championship in the 90s that's what they were doing deferring money yeah i'll owe you uh i'm
owe you eight when you retire and then pay you.
That's all they're doing.
I mean, some players are right now still getting paid
that people don't know about because
of the salary cap that, you know, I want
to pay you all your money, but
we're going to show this much on the books.
We're going to show this much off just to keep our team.
What just happened, though?
The Boston Celtics won a championship
and did what?
Okay, everybody.
Oh, sold.
Yeah.
Nobody asked no questions about why.
Period.
But when you're trying to balance the books of what,
Jason Tatum,
Dailin Brown,
you look at the Luca situation.
Mark drops out, but then they get rid of Luca
because who don't want to pay that tab?
That's a lot.
And we want to pay who?
All this shit makes sense
if you look a little deeper
and you see that the business side of it all
is about numbers and books
and checks and balances.
And us players
really don't want to go down that far
that rabbit hole because it becomes Chinese to us because we're not understanding what they
doing on the backside that's why I say when Mark Cuban come out he flags signaling to all the
other owners you better get y'all shit together because they come in to check your books next
get your shit right checks and balances but it ain't I mean from their side it ain't bad because
it's business but if we're looking from it from an outside standpoint we're looking like
oh man could they pay Kaua to do this and he came over here it looked crazy
It looked crazy, but it's just what it is.
So we asked the chat, you work for me, you get fired.
We asked to say if they had a problem with Kauai getting bred under a table, 60% of the
chat said no.
Yeah, it's no problem.
Because we all want to get paid under the table.
It's just coming out.
Over, under, on the side?
Huh?
Is that free?
I don't know.
No, I mean.
Is he getting paid under the table?
Under the table?
If he's saying, if Kauai is saying I showed up and I did all this shit, it's
Is it under the table?
Or is it just a separate deal?
Don't know.
No, nothing about it.
Look, because you said it, you called it out.
He got 28 million to come sit in the chair.
You called it out before it all happened.
Before they all called it out, you said it's like, what I would do.
This is what I would do.
Bermatim, it was perfect, right?
So I was like, God damn, this niggas on top of that shit like that.
Like, what?
But it made sense.
It made perfect sense.
Like, if I'm going to be able to do it because that was a part of the new,
was it the new ruler?
If something happened.
where you could, the second apron,
where you could potentially do some shit like that.
The players could invest in the league
and there's a bunch of different things.
So if it's no show and then he not playing for 20-something games
and then all of a sudden his payment late,
he all of a sudden get paid and then pop up he and them lineup.
That's some different shit.
You're not playing and then you all of a sudden plan
when you get paid.
That's different because now that's affecting a team.
That's affecting our record.
That's affecting the playoffs based on you doing the under the table deal.
So you think he over the
playing in the NBA
like he's playing in Europe list
I ain't playing until you pay me
But that's what the find is
On my side deal
The finders looked like
That's what the fondest panned out to look
Like he played a week later
After he got paid
That's why I said the news coming out
The news coming out in the NBA game
On the side deal
On the side deal
Like no man
That's great
Why is a man of principal can't
My money
I mean straight up
I have not there's only it's only big it's only big markets right you're talking about big markets who's trying to win championships right you're not talking about you know Charlotte and Detroit Pistons and stuff like that right those you know Memphis sack they don't they don't have they don't have no reason to try to keep these players and do these deals you're talking about real big cities LA New York
Chicago, Dallas, right?
You're talking about teams that I need this player,
but he's going to push me over the salary cap,
but he's worth all of it.
I don't want to see him leave,
so I'm going to make a side deal with him.
Right?
Oh, yeah, he asked him for a hundred,
and he signed back for 60.
If you think he just took a $40 million pay cut
to come play for, no.
I had to make sure he got his bread.
It's some other way.
So Bronson?
Look at me like that.
What I'm just saying, man?
So Brunson, I'm just saying.
Okay, cool.
You think a nigga turned down $300 million inside of $120 something?
Alright.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Especially coming from the owner who just pays everybody.
I'm putting cases on all.
Oh, you get you.
So what happens if the Clippers get in trouble though?
If they get found guilty, they get some shit.
He gets shaved.
Draft picks.
They may get fined some draft picks.
Find, fine draft picks.
Some draft picks are just back home still?
My guess is with this investigation likely going past All-Star weekend,
they're going to kind of wait until after.
They're going to have to do something.
Shea got traded in 2019.
I thought that was all a part of it.
No.
You got to do something.
It ain't going to be.
Well, they were trying to make it part of them.
No, that was the internet stuff trying to pretend that this happened.
This happened for this trade.
This was the second deal.
That was a Pitchieger.
Don't smack you on the wrist.
I want to Shayback.
I want to smack you on the wrist.
Come back to L.A.
You know what?
I look now.
Swaggy, we cannot get a Shayback.
Why does Shay want to be back?
Like, think about that.
He won an MVP.
We're going to take the MVP away from him.
You're going to take the MVP away from him.
You're going to take the MVP away.
He's going to say, all of this is in a void.
I mean, it just.
Yeah, you come on back.
Now he benefits.
You come on back, take your ass back to Toronto.
Now you got to move the whole.
NBA again, and then say
Indiana, y'all really won the championship
because they was uninvolved. Like, you can't know.
Obama, shit.
No, it's going to be, it's going to be, this look
suspect, we're just going to find y'all,
we're going to keep an eye on y'all, y'all going to be on probation.
They don't never have no high draft pick, no fucking
way, so we don't.
Hey, listen,
every time we've heard
in the media, just so you can see how the NBA works,
we heard somebody getting called at the airport
plenty of times
with marijuana.
Paraphernalia.
Never heard. Not one drug test being
positive
on that same person.
All them drug tests they do after 60 and 70
points, ain't not one
of them been tested high or nothing.
They're not doing... Listen, they're not doing nothing.
They're not making their league look bad.
It's the NBA. This is not football.
The football is an NFL brand.
They don't care about the players.
The NBA players run the league
So they're not gonna sit there and try to trip a player up because it makes them look bad
So we know that
They could be slanging it too though
You don't have to smoke it
You could be slanging if you get caught to them
Now let's get to the basketball side of things
Can you Franklin same? I don't be smoking this shit
Clippers finished fifth in the west
They were 50 and 32 same record as the Lakers and Nuggets but lost that tiebreaker
ended up losing in the Nuggets in the first round in seven games.
Reup Hardin with a two-year extension built around their big three.
This off-season surrounded Kauai Hardin and Zubach with a solid supporting cast.
They traded Norm Powell to get John Collins.
Also signed Bradley Bill, Brooke Lopez, and CP3.
So when you look at this Clippers team on paper heading to this season,
how would you grade the Clippers' off-season moves?
Kenney, we'll start with you.
A-A-R-P?
A-A-R-P.
Fucking Social Security.
Damn.
The veterans, the vets.
The unctioned that's...
40-year-old, a 37-year-old, another 37-year-old, a 36-year-old, 35-year-old.
Listen, bruh.
The last day.
What, shit, what a year?
He definitely can get some burn with the clippers.
Shit.
So how you feel about this squad?
A lot of people seem to be very excited about this team.
Obviously, Kauai is kind of the X-factor if he can play this season to shift the butt.
You got Zubaku stepping into an important role, Hardin, who bawled out last season in Kauai's absence.
Before this, do they understand how fast the NBA is now?
Like, I don't, like, this is real, do they not realize, like, at that one, two, three position what this NBA has become?
Listen, man.
Like, dude, it's athleticism built on top of speed, strength, and a more athleticism.
speed like dude y'all just getting older like that that shit like okay but yeah i think it's everybody's
last dance i mean it's tyton loo's last dance it's james hardin's last dance it's cp3's last
dance when we're talking about just in l.a with the clippers like they got to blow this up after
this it don't make sense to keep it around just for the sake of you know the nostalgia of old
players playing together and trying to get it together.
I think we've seen the CP in LA before.
I think he's trying to just ride this wave on out.
James Harden is still trying to find out if he can still run a team fully
and then try to play back seat to Kauai whether or not, you know, he's going to play
the full season or not.
And then you still got Zubox.
I mean, he played well, but I mean, to have him still there after all these years
with nobody to really have his back and play off of him,
it's just difficult to see that.
Brooke Lopez comes in and they think that that's going to be
that's going to be a changer.
I just don't see that being a mover.
It's not moving the needle for them.
They're slower.
Yeah, for sure.
Clippers got an old starting five.
I think the oldest starting five potentially heading into this season.
But still have step playing at a high level.
I don't see.
Y'all not rolling with this clip?
I'm rolling.
How often do they stay healthy, all of these guys?
And then where do John Collins fit in this play?
Because he's aggressive offensively, so where does he fit in this fray at?
Eat it off the glass.
And it's not a con.
Get it off the glass.
So you, so James plays slow, then you put CP in and he's going to play slower.
Slower.
Like, that shit.
Man, but think about the West though.
It's a lot of old motherfuckers in the West too.
Who?
The motherfuckers that won at the average last, you know the team that won last year, right?
23 years old.
You know the team.
You got the one.
They're not a threat.
They're not a threat in this.
They're not a threat in this.
Houston younger than them.
You got O KC younger than them.
Minnesota younger than them.
You might be.
They got Dallas one younger than them.
San Antonio younger than them.
Sacramento younger than them.
Like, you know.
Sack got some old motherfuckers.
They younger than the clip.
A couple old.
This whole team is old.
Whole team old, bro.
Like, KD is old.
Is Nick Batoon is still on there?
Nick Batoon is still on there.
What's take starting line?
Four quarters training.
The trainer is all.
You know the trainer in there for like 35.
Jane, 39, 40, 40, 7.
45.
That's what it was.
I'm not saying these guys can't play basketball.
But this NBA is getting younger and fast and more athletic.
But that will always mean that is good.
You can't have all y'all collectively on one team.
That will always mean that shun.
mean that shooting fast threes is good who says shooting fast that's what all they do i said
plan fast nick i said plan so you hear what you want to hear but they're playing fast they're playing
fast and they run it so what is the new NBA is so let's ask you this so i know what you're saying
yeah i hear you let me ask you this and james hard and when he was leading the league and scoring all
was he known to being ever stay in front of anybody then no he wasn't so what you think this james
hard to go do it in front of it's what I'm saying yes what you I hear you yes this
listen bro it ain't just I know what you're saying is slow they're but yeah that shit
ain't going to work right so you're going to do that shit in regular season you're going to be
a seventh seed eight C fighting to get in because if got if everybody stay healthy
regular season them dudes don't care about the regularies you got three dudes on there
doesn't really care about the regular season and them the young dudes Zubach John Collins
And shit.
You got boggy, boggy?
Okay.
He's 30.
Derek Jones?
Well, I'm just saying, if I come down making smart plays and you coming down shooting
the ball fast, I'm putting my...
But the tempo, he's talking about the tempo in the game...
I'm gonna take my three possessions versus your one.
Yeah, no.
But does that shift at all in the post season?
Game slows down.
It helps them in the post season.
It helps them, but you got to get there first.
That's fair.
If this clipper team was put together five or seven years ago, I would say they have a...
Shit.
Like a content...
I had a change five or seven years ago, beat.
What?
playing the clip of five, seven years ago.
No, no, I'm talking about this team would be a contender.
Like, this team, five, seven years ago.
But, you know, James Hardin, he was fifth in minutes last year.
Yep.
So I don't know if he can do that again.
Like he just said, C.P. on his last leg.
Brooke Lopez, we saw him last year on a drop coverage.
That's why we were getting killed with them corner threes.
And the clipbers is just a bad organization.
So it's a bad, right organization.
They break bread under the table, though, a legend.
Chris Paul has to play 40 minutes.
He's on me.
Chris Paul, Chris Paul, one leg in and one leg out.
All the time.
Yeah.
He had 10 assists last night in 18 minutes.
But what did that take away from James?
James had three assists.
And you can't play them together.
James settled down.
He ain't in the club every night.
Right.
So he's in love.
So he's out there staying home.
Yeah.
We ain't seen him in love James yet.
He was top five in minutes last year.
But he's in love now.
He's saving his leg.
He's in love now.
That love's going to be taking new legs.
You're watching love.
Ain't white, tell him.
Yeah, Netflix is an issue.
He's not in the club.
He's at home.
He's watching back.
Them dudes have built some overtime.
For Bradley Bill over there too.
Like, they have built some over time, right?
Yes, but I'm just, I look at the landscape of the league.
And the team that won in last year, I look at Minnesota.
I look at where San Antonio headed.
I look at them dudes, where Denver still is.
Like, I can't see them, like, why I still him?
Yeah.
But after that.
Attack.
We're attacking up all game.
Kawai's still him, but after that.
Lopez is hard enough to have?
We saw that last year.
Not like he was.
Attack his ass.
Attack Brooke Lopez.
Yeah, I mean.
Go I still first, second team all NBA, bro.
Yeah, there's going to be a couple.
This is a couple of matchups that they'll have a problem.
Hard 13.
When carrying, I get it, when carrying the love for Kauai, 37 games.
Yeah, I mean.
So, yes, he deserved that.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's usually have a, usually you come off the bitch with younger.
With younger guys, right?
The fact that they're coming off the bench with older guys, like you're older.
You got a 40 year old coming off your bench and 37 you're coming off your beach of 37
you're coming on.
Batum, Battoe, but you also got boogie, baguress and CP coming up 37, 3740.
That's right.
Coming off the bench.
But are you guys?
Like so, no, I don't.
I don't know.
I mean, it all depends.
That's what I'm saying.
It all depends.
It all depends.
The Lakers is better.
The Laker is better.
It all depends on how it's played.
The Laker Lakers are pretty trash.
You know, it depends.
They got to have some young guys that can push.
They're not.
No, they're not.
They're not trash.
But you got Bradley Bill who's going to basically try to defend,
they're going to use him to defend everybody.
That's the one name fucking forgot.
We always forget about.
So if you look at their projector started five is Hardin' Bill, Kauai, John Collins, Zubach.
So, John, so basically John, no, to find him.
Because John Collins, John Collins and Bill, they'll
young enough to do most of the defensive things for Kauai and James when they play those
very fast hybrid guys.
So what's the starting lineup for the niggins?
That was the potential starting line.
So basically they'll run-
So John Collins is going to be the second guy.
So basically James Hardin is going to conserve a lot of energy and try to get the 13-14
assist and let Collins and Kauai do their thing and Bradley.
be able to play more defense.
The problem is, if you're trying to put CP, Batoon, and Lopez in the game,
while other teams is coming up with young guys just getting up and down,
that could be a problem.
So they might have to play small ball and plays.
It ain't eight teams and NBA better than that lineup right.
Here's my problem.
I said, sub.
They're going to be fighting for the, they're going to be fighting for the, they're going to be fighting in a place game.
That's a solid start five.
That's that.
You said a team, though.
I said better than that line.
No, you said I'd say 18's better than that line.
That's a solid 35.
They're 18s better than that start in 5.
That's a good thing.
18s and NBA?
Better than that start 5.
What were they asking Bradley Bill to do last year with the sons?
They was asking him to play more defense.
No.
No, he was a defender.
They're trying to.
Same role.
Drew Holliday.
The same role.
And they was like, we can't find out where to, where to acclimate you
Just go out there and be our defender.
We don't have a defender.
It's Kevin Durant, Booker.
You're the one that can play defense.
Let's see what you can do to offset this.
Like we got firepower.
Cool.
You go to the clippers.
You accept this role as being a defender now.
When you got Kauai Linder, who is a defender,
how does it look for Bradley Bill not to be like Norman Powell?
How is it going to benefit the Clippers?
If you're not coming out with the firepower, I wouldn't start Bradley Bill.
Oh, here you go, yeah.
I would bring him off the bench and let him be himself.
Let him be Brad that can come out.
So who you got coming off the bench that's giving you firepower?
But not boogie, boogie.
Bogi, bogey.
So which one would you rather have to give you firepower off the bench?
Who you have been to starting the line of them to give you firepower?
You got James Hard to Gawad Leonard.
Oh, so you're going to play them 40 minutes?
Well, you already have a formula that's been there for three-year.
It's a three-year formula.
That's a young guy that's a young young.
And you can't take away Zubot.
So you're saying Hardin, Kauai, and Zubots with a young John Collins, and you throw somebody
else like a Derek Jones or Boggy in there to play your defense and let Bradley Bill be your
Norman Powell because you're going to need that.
They tried him coming off the bench in Phoenix.
That shit was a...
You don't need to do that to him.
It was.
Like, Bradley Bill might average 20.
He averaged 18 last shit.
No, starting.
No way.
They need to fire power.
Yeah.
James gonna be a facilitator.
Like James is gonna be, what's the name's gonna be probably option two?
John Collins is aggressive.
He's gonna be aggressive.
He's shooting at that.
He's aggressive.
You throw the ball.
That's what you need to.
He's firing it.
Like that, like if they play this right,
they can fuck around them near B up their top six, seven, and scoring.
If you play it right, because John,
Conn is gonna put them up and then you let Bradley build and then Kauai doing his thing James Harden playing a little bit faster
It sounds like it sounds like Phoenix it's still no
No, it sounds like Phoenix is I'd be like you know they had three guys
They were gonna be heard no they had three ISO guys here's 4 20
I so what's the difference now is Kauai not an ISO guy? No, he's a system guy oh my lord
So Kwai Lent is not an I so hold the ball no fucking perimeter and do his thing
No, a quick shot.
He's wonderful.
James Hardness.
Is he an ISO guy?
Yeah.
Not no more.
It's a weird ISO, but it's a weird.
But I can give it to you.
Please.
So now what Tyrone Lewis is going to have to do with Bradley Bill is put him into what, actions, right?
Because he's not an ISO guy.
Brad Bill, not an ISO.
He's a come off, downscreens, Clay Thompson, right.
So if that's not our offense, and it's just, we're talking about the starting lineup,
that means we're going to have to change our whole formula in there.
formula. How did you think Powell got scoring?
He was off the offense. He was off the
beat? No, no, he started.
So did the clip was out? That was
the whole season.
Did the clippers get better or did they get worse?
Did they get better? Huh? Did they get worse?
They got old. They just moved
older. They got older. They just moved this table over
there. That's what I'm saying.
Put that table over here.
That's all this table over here.
No. But that table without.
Bro, badly.
You know what?
So how old that shit look a little bit better?
How old is that?
Yeah.
How old is that?
What?
30.
31?
Yeah, 30.
I knew I should have put that right there.
Yeah, yeah.
They put a flower on this table here.
They took the ashtray off and this with them laying like, yo, you know what?
Hmm.
Norm Powell 32 to answer your question.
But this same, tie for third in the West, obviously slipped a fit with tiebreakers.
With tiebreakers, you think they can replicate that
and be at that level again this season?
No, sure, okay?
Can he says no?
No.
Hell no.
Hell, yeah.
Because I think other teams got better that they did.
I think other teams got better, so that's...
So as it's Brooke Lopez and Bradley Peele, we ask,
and if they moved to Neville.
No, in Collison and Kawhi.
And Kawhi.
So this is why, you're putting more than the new edition.
No, I'm saying as far as the new additions, Brooke Lopez and Bradley.
But hell, hell do you have to say a healthy,
Healthy Kawhi.
Because this is the first year he's actually going into the season,
he's been playing in pre-dead again.
Did he get all his money?
He got all his money.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, the checks was clear.
He's getting all this, for his show job.
I don't know.
He'll be here opening day.
Yeah, so this is the first time he's actually been helping.
And, well, they're still old as shit.
How many years has it been before he actually came into the season out there?
That's like, you're at least four or five.
That's what I'm saying.
That's going to take a toll.
So that's a new, that's a new player.
Yeah, that's a.
They're like, yeah, we got Chris Paul.
They're like, we got Kauai.
Man.
Yeah.
We play best friends and we could go.
Damn.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
We're going to stay in the Western Conference and stay in the beautiful state of California.
Just head up north just a little bit.
So the Warriors were stagnant early on in a free agency as they dealt with Jonathan
Kaminga's prolonged contract negotiation.
In late September, Kamingia, the Warriors ended the stalemate with Kamingia agreeing to a two-year, $48.5 million deal with the team,
which includes a team option.
So according to Shams, the deal is designed to be ripped up and renegotiated next summer.
But Kaminga is now trade eligible on January 15th, but a rumor trade to the Kings is now complicated with Keegan Murray, signing a $540 million rookie extension Wednesday.
But looking at this situation, we've had a lot of varying opinions on Kaminga.
His contract negotiates the Warriors some.
Like Shottor said, Kaminga, get the hell out of there.
It's the burning building.
Others said, figure it out.
Did Camiga make the right decision
re-upping with the Warriors on a two-year deal?
He said, did he make the right decision?
Just the own?
Or the only?
Also had an option for a three-year-72 million.
Say it again?
Yeah, the option for a three-year-s72 million
or he could have took his qualifying offer.
Believe no trade clause this season
and been an unrestricted free agent next season.
I don't like the team option shit.
Yeah, it's very, uh...
Once again, they got him by his nuts, man.
I mean, he'll be going by Austin.
Sorry.
Try to find something for him.
Find a trade.
All they did was this.
You want this deal?
No.
All right.
What's that?
Got the deal.
What's that?
Yeah, yeah, let's do it.
It's the same deal that they offered at the beginning of the season.
Hey, what's that?
What's that?
Look at.
I'm just saying, like, I feel.
bad because
listen we see your talent
and we understand the market
we've been there, we've done that
I've tried to warn you that
hey the deal you've got to
they're offering you
you got to sign that now because it's not
going to get any better is going to get worse
so instead of signing the 120 something
they offered you they just took three years off
of the same money that they offered you
before and you played a whole year
so that means you really didn't get no interest
on what you did. I believe the
5-420 according to reports
was the initial offer.
Kaminga felt disrespected by that.
That was supposed to just get the conversation going.
Now this deal.
It's the same deal, but three years less.
But shorter.
So you played a whole year,
and it didn't bump up not $50, not $100.
So you played a whole year for free.
Some shit you could have got a year before,
and most likely this deal he got right now,
he could have got that after his second year.
He knocked on that door and said,
hey, let me get that two years.
You sure?
Okay
They're happy
Like this is robbery
You robbed this young fella
And then the second year
The team option second
That shit wild, bro
Who the fuck is his agent?
Huh?
Who the fuck is his agent?
Like
He's good firm on it
He made him at the mall
He had to in the middle
The pool court at the club room
Kiyos
Nicky that's a man
Why y' y'all watch
He has to set the dude
They're selling the shit to clean the all white shit.
I'm walking by, I got on some all whites.
And you want me to clean your Jones?
No, you want me to clean your all white?
No, no, he's going to trash when I get done.
My nigga, I don't clean them.
You don't clean the all white shit, you don't know me?
Oh, let me get some new ones, man, okay.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, man.
Like, who let him sign that, get a team the second option?
After what they proved, they're going to do it in the last two years.
Like, that shit, wow.
You think he had a chance, though?
Yes.
To change it?
Give me a one year, dude, dude.
So one, the only one year-
One for five, I don't give a fuck.
Whatever it is, man, I'll play for the minimum.
I don't want to, you'll keep your-office.
That was the qualifying offer.
He could have took for $8 million.
You can keep your option.
Eight million, it would have made him an unrestricted free agent.
After this season, I would have a no-trade clause.
I would have took it.
Oh, it would have had a no-trade clause in it.
I would have took it.
Nice, tough.
I would have took it.
You're not getting the option with me, man.
The collusion you avoid based on waiting that out,
and they're hitting free agency
and everybody's in
there we not go.
There are these
they're made you look crazy.
Yeah, you look crazy.
They're telling everybody
about it.
You get more than you.
You'll get more than you.
Let's try.
He would have been all right.
I would have signed the shit.
Nah.
I would assign that one day.
I would have been on my fucking
20.
I'd have been on my head.
I got to know who I am.
I'm coming off the bench right now.
I'm coming off the bench.
We still got more.
We still got more.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm coming off the bench.
This is what I'm averaging.
This new CBA is very,
I know my money.
If you had a good agent, you would have known that CBA was coming.
And you said, you said, Giddy, Camt, Thomas, Cominga, office in the first one to sign a, I said, there was $120, they all wanted it.
I said, the first one say they're going to take a hundred, you're going to get your money.
And that was the Giddler.
And then everybody else who got screwed.
I said, the first one to take the hundred, you good, everybody else is in trouble.
And that's, like, because you got to know, you got to know your value in that moment of time.
You got to know that
Gotta read the room
I got to read the room
I got you got cam over there
Like listen bro
You're getting double
You get double damn near
Top three in the league
Look where you are
Look at your style of play
Right
Your value is there
I don't know how many people
Is gonna accept
How will you play this game
Around the league
Like you're
They're gonna make you a six man
100%
Yeah
That style is a six
Sixth man in this league, especially after your last comments.
Oh, you know, I don't know if I was weird.
You know what I mean?
Why would you say that?
Okay, I don't know.
I'm trying to pass.
Ask the who.
You know what I mean?
So it's one of those things where you are a starter and your value of that money is in that
city playing that style.
You go anywhere else.
You're going to be glorified six man and they're not paying you that type of money.
So you're signing this one year deal thinking you're by the average, I mean, not thinking, you're
going to average 20 something.
going to the market
and they're going to sit there and say the same thing
but it's a real issue
with these guys overestimating
what the market has previously been
this new CBA a lot of teams
just frankly didn't have the bread
and weren't going to come off of it
with these aprons and
previous years is fucking the market
up in these players head up
right but they're fucking the players head up
previous years
you're seeing guys who you know
that you're like shit I'm way bad
in him well I'm doing that
I'm averaging this and I'm averaging that
you saw dudes getting 34
35 million
like shit wait till my time come up well your time here and the money and they're showing you
it ain't that this ain't that let's be honest the game hasn't changed when it comes to the six
man payout since jamar crawford nick nick young jr smith Nate robinson everybody got robbed
man nobody got paid their value and it hasn't changed since anybody coming off the bench even
norm power like now like he's going to he should deserve a lot more but you're going to get what
we value this position at six months
man. You come off, it don't matter. 20 a game, 17, 19, 22, it don't matter. You're not
starting. You give us what we asked for. So, like he said, if Cam is going to pigeonhole himself
to be this guy in outside of Brooklyn, bro, it's not going to look good. It's not going to be
what? What? They're trying to get 1.30? He said it. They're looking at, they're looking at 30 million
a year. They're looking at 30 million a year. No, I'm looking at this person. No, I'm
looking at this person got paid a year before.
Chandler Parsons and all of them dudes
that got a hundred.
They got a hundred dudes that got all them,
all that bread.
They're like, shit.
I'm better than that.
Man, I'm better than him.
I'm better than him.
You're turning down 120, though.
And I'm saying, but at that point,
pocket watch and Nick.
You got to, that's what I said.
You got to know your value to that team
and know your value in the open market.
I can't, I don't know your relationship with that owner.
Yeah, why he's, I don't know why he's paying you that money.
Exactly.
So I can't be looking at your pocket, talking about, well, if he get this from what he's doing,
he's averaging 18 and 5, I'm averaging 22, I need more than that.
And they're like, well, I don't, hmm, yeah, I can happen.
But the Giller, the Giller's averaging 18, 7 and 7.
Hmm?
Gilly, Giddy's averaging 18, 19, 7, and 7, and he played a little bit of defense.
Like, Cam, you averaging 22, but you give us nothing but this.
So, yeah, so to that point, right, what?
What else are you around, what do people view you as around this league, right?
Yeah.
Like, so you're a ball stopper, you yourself, you don't play no deal.
Like, you don't, like, these things don't fare well with a whole lot of the people, to Gil's point.
And your value is in Brooklyn.
It can't get that label off you, no.
It's hard to get off you, man.
Because that's your role now.
That's your role now.
You come in and give us buckets and it's all we know.
Hey, Blue, I was stuck.
Hey, Blue, you spin record.
All you do is.
All you do is.
Don't for all you do.
A paying you nothing.
Yeah, you can't your boys, nothing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That shit hurt.
Like, what's the funny is, like, was it, who else took a qualifying offer?
Did Quinn Grah and sick one?
No.
I think he was looking for 30, too.
He was looking for, it was four of them.
It was looking for 30.
It was funny as going into the open market, if they both had.
Yeah, he signed a qualifying offer.
He did?
Yeah.
But who?
The Knicks.
The sixth.
Philly.
Okay.
What so funny is.
My mistake.
He will get paid, like you will pay him faster than you pay.
Camp.
Kim.
Quint.
What's the difference between the two?
Do more.
Do more.
Yeah, Grimes, do more.
Just do more.
Deep, pass ball, deep, score when you need them.
Whatever you need, you'll do it.
The reports where he was looking for 25 million a year ended up taking out qualifying.
That's what I'm saying.
Like 25 a year?
If he bumped it down to 20?
For you to look out there, it'd be like, yeah, I'm worth 25.
But just knowing what the end, like, look at your team.
Just look in the locker room you in there, right?
You see, you got Joel in that motherfucker.
Yeah, yeah.
You got PG in there.
You got Maxie in there.
And you look at yourself.
You're like, yeah, I'm worth 20.
Yeah, I'm like them, them are the other three.
And McCain.
Hey, McCain.
No, not even him.
He on a rookie deal.
No, he was better than, he was actually better.
But he was better than, but he was better than.
But I'm just saying, just far as the money now, you look around this locker room and you value, you look, your honest self and be like,
yeah they gonna get me 25 they gave joel make like no like naive man but what to me what's the
difference between like cam and a r like a r would get 150 or something one AR play defense
AR actually still plays basketball he can pass he can pass he can he's gonna pass he's gonna
make plays but i don't know that's him with lebron jane lemon daddy so he's sports the paper
We don't know what he is by losing situation.
That's why I'm saying how they're looking though.
He's like, well, but I can't make me and A.R.
And A.R. would get 100 more than me.
Yeah, A.R. is playing basketball.
You, here, you're going to do this.
They're going to do this.
Here, you see you right here?
You took a fade three people out of bounds like you,
Kobe Bryant without the Kobe.
And he made it.
And there's four people under the basket by themselves doing this.
But if I make it, what's the difference?
You make it, we still, it's a good shot.
It's a good shot for you.
It's a good shot for you.
So you're literally playing one or four.
Like you're playing a one on four.
He has to, though.
That's the thing I don't get.
He has to play that way.
Why?
Because who he's going to pass it to?
Who says you has to?
No, Nick.
Oh.
So if you put AR in his role,
AR doing the same thing, he going to get treated like that?
He averages.
What's the stats?
Austin.
Austin Ridge?
No, no, no, no.
So Nick.
Cam Thomas.
They have to lose it no matter if he take them shot to not.
Thank you.
So pass the fucking ball to your teammates.
Trust somebody.
So Cam Thomas.
Or average 40.
24, 4, 6, 3 rebounds.
Yeah, now, that's the same.
Now, if he average...
24 and 3.
If he average 18, 7, and 7, 7, they pay that man.
He didn't even got to get the rebounds.
That's what I'm saying.
It looked different.
It looked different.
He didn't even got to get the rebound.
Nick, he ain't even got to get the rebound.
It's past that bitch.
He averaged 18, 19, and 7 assists.
Damn, the, he can still average 3 rebounds.
You know why?
I mean, let me tell you why.
Because he averages seven assists, that means that tells you if I give him the ball,
he's going to make the right play.
He tried to make the right play.
This thing, we're helping putting these labels on somebody.
That's the thing I'm like.
What's the difference between him and Devin Booker when he got fucking paid?
All he did was shut and shoot the fucking ball.
He didn't pass the shit.
He went for 71 on the motherfucker.
They didn't pass it.
He still got paid.
What's the difference between him and Camel?
Cam, what are the nigger name?
Cam Thomas?
Cam only played 25 games on last season.
You want a team where somebody has to score.
You can't blame him up a treat them different
because he's scoring the fucking ball.
I don't get this shit.
You want a motherfucker to score.
Yeah, I get you.
How much the average?
Who?
Cam.
Cam Thomas.
Hold on me pull it back up, you know, I got 18.
24, right?
24, 4 assists, three runs.
Only played 25 games last season, though, dealing with hamstring issue.
24 year before that, too.
Hey.
Who was more selfish?
Me or him?
You?
Me more selfish.
hours more assists more rebounds more points
and then two other people average 20 also
I made my selfishness
look different
it's selfishness to look selfish
are you know what I'm saying like you can be selfish
guys so you don't even look
your point did Devin Booker look selfish
no
did Daven Booker look selfish
man I answered a question
I know you're trying to fight for
your point, and I get it.
But did he live selfish?
Yes.
It's a law for 71, but nobody, the whole team was mad.
No, he was.
It was cheering.
They lost the game.
They were scared and they're like a girl.
Hey, did you know how I know?
I was a mad as a motherfucker at Tyson channel.
Yes.
I was hot at Tyson.
Y'all, think of what you're doing?
Because Isaiah Thomas was hot.
He was like, we was whooping.
I was mad at Tyson.
I hold Tyson up here.
He was like, no, come on.
You know how, you know, you know, you know there's some shots.
There's some shots, there's some shots that a person to take, and he'd be like, oh, come on.
He knows, because he, he'll do it.
But if he don't, it's, it's those shots, he does that a lot.
You be like, yo, you didn't have, yeah, come on, you didn't have to.
I'm hot, I'm high.
Everybody's shooting those shots.
No, but he should, what I'm saying is, if he has, let's say, 15, if he's only taking 15 shots.
How many shots?
of the game.
14 look like, yo, come on.
That's the problem.
Swing now.
You only need three.
Swing that.
You got 14.
You're like, all right, so Vanana shoot,
doing 14 like this and he average 24.
That makes him even better.
Take 18, 18 shots for game last year.
Nick, guess what?
That's the problem.
Just 18.
18 to get 34.
It's going to look worse this year because Michael poured over there,
motherfucker.
Oh, yeah, we're not having none of that.
Look at when he shoot.
We were like, oh.
Hey, listen, Nick.
And it's going to get worse.
And he's 200.
Because they're going to be out there,
He shoot it, I shoot it, he shoot it, I shoot, he shoot it.
My turn.
He might as well, don't score.
My turn.
Anybody that go to Brooklyn, if you score on the ass team, just don't score.
Wait, you know who played in Brooklyn?
You know who played in Brooklyn?
Dennis Schroeder.
That's what you're saying.
You know Dennis Roder.
You know him, right?
He averaged 18 in Brooklyn.
He averaged 20.
18.
18.9 or something like that?
It was 20 in one point.
Bro.
What was he doing?
He was not passing that bitch.
Like that 24 just don't look right.
It either got to be 18 or 29.
You know what I mean?
Like it's the 24, the 24, the way he plays doesn't look right.
And he got 15 wins.
Yeah.
They don't want him to be a star.
He's not star quality.
No, think about it.
His 24 look more selfish than Shea Brunson's.
You know what I mean?
Lucas, they have to 30-something.
But how he looks makes it look bad.
And they ball-domin.
That's what I'm saying.
And he don't have to fall.
Like that.
He just shoot that bitch.
Just shoot him.
Yeah.
The fact that they ball dominant still don't even look like it.
Hey, I don't remember that old school night commercial?
24 or 24?
You're gonna call the fun police on him?
You ain't even letting the ball touch the ground.
God damn, Patrick.
That's the same.
It's 24 and 34, bro.
No, hell.
What was that play?
It wasn't this year.
It was the last year, right, where he got the rebound.
Right?
It was, no, he got the rebound like this.
And then just bounced it and then did a full.
fade away. Didn't look at the rim, just turned on. It went in. But he was just like, wait.
No, I'm not passing it. That's hard. I thought it was so hard to score in a league.
I thought if he scored it. No, no, 24 is easy. He gets double. Like, he is that dude.
It's just 24 is not the number you want for how he plays it. Nick, in the 30s.
So in the 25 games he played, right? He's getting double team in a lot of them games. He gets 18
shots up still getting double team.
Yeah.
That's forcing it.
That's good.
That's good.
Don't hang like that's bad.
They have to have 18 shots.
How much would you average if you have 18 shots?
I'm a lot of going to double.
Know what I'm saying?
If you had 18 shots again, how much you average it?
More than 24, right?
Hey, man, you don't need more than 24.
You only double people that's good.
More than 20 to 5.
Are you going to have 24, right?
Hey, hold on, I got one for you.
I would hope.
So he shoots about 18 times a night, right, when he played.
Which is not a lot.
Huh?
I'm feeling.
I got one.
Mello left the league and scoring when he played for the Knicks, right?
He shot the ball 22 times a night.
So there's four more shots to Mello shot than this kid.
He let the league is scoring.
Well, just ask about,
Shee average, though.
I'm a different area, though.
Shay average.
Yeah, I'm just said, but I just went back because people looked at Mello
as selfish at that time, right?
Yep.
But he left the league in scoring.
This kid don't average in 24.
Shade 22.
Philo-go attempts per game,
average 35 points per year.
How old is it?
How old is Cam?
About 24.
20 averaging.
Cam, Tom, 24 years old.
Nick, you average 13 shots
average 18 points.
Okay.
Five more shots, Nick.
I'll be 24.
See, Cam.
Alright, let's shift back over
That's why your ass was a six man
Let's ship back
He don't get foul
He don't go to the foul line
He shoot, he don't go to the foul line
I didn't go to the foul line
No, and okay so
Doesn't that make you more one-dimensional
If you're not going to the foul line
You're settling for everything
No, so in basketball term
Everything with these niggins is Hensy Pool
That is his problem
Because he's a two-foot jumper
He don't get fouled
It looks like so
So when somebody like
I know I don't supposed to
Shoot, does I pump fake get that?
Go to the free throw line.
It don't count against me, but I'm getting the points.
Right?
So if he learned how to get filed, those 18 shots, he's already at 27.
He don't look selfish.
But the fact that he don't get fouled and all those are actually jump shots.
Like, one of a jump, he's like, he's going to spin out.
Spend out and fatal with you.
I think that was a lot.
Austin Reeves, take a game.
Lemon Daddy.
If Austin, if he, what does Austin Reeve do that he don't do?
Get to the line?
How many shots do?
All right.
All right.
Computer freezing.
I think he's like 13, 14.
Yeah, I think that's too many questions.
Hold on.
Show jobs, son.
Definitely not, can you?
I'm merely a host, not a researcher.
Yeah, that's eight.
Please get up the same.
They fired the research department.
So, Arthur Reeves, last season, average 20 points with 14 shot attempts.
14 shot at 10.
So if he, listen, five free throw...
Wait, but look, Nick.
But what do A.R. do to get his point?
But AR don't get double team.
That's even worse.
No, he gets to the line.
Those are easy points.
So if he get into the line on 14 shots and he averaging 20, give him four more shots,
and he's still getting to the line, he might be 25, 26.
No, no.
We don't know what he's going to be if you're getting double team.
He got Luca and LeBron.
They don't know what he going to be in the number.
Luca LeBron, he's averaging 26 and 5.
If I'm able to take it to the hole, because I know Luca getting covered in LeBron right here,
the lane wide open, that's an easy point.
But it's the six and the five with it.
So it looks like he's giving the ball up.
That's what I'm saying.
He can do the same stuff.
If he just add two more assists to it, he looks more valuable.
Yo, y'all trying to, yo, he's not going to get it.
It's like looking in the mirror.
It's crazy, bro.
You're watching Cam play like, that's my dog, yeah.
That's my dog, yeah, shoot that bitch, Cam.
It's crazy, bro.
Somebody that average 24 and still can't get paid.
We're trying to tell you why.
Yeah, we're trying to tell you why.
Yeah, we're trying to argue with us.
Yeah, we're trying to tell you why.
make sense to me.
Because, yeah, yeah.
How do you think he'll look on the Lakers if he played on the Lakers if him and
Austin Reeves switch?
We don't know.
How would Austin Reeves look getting double team?
You can say I don't know, man.
We're asking you.
I don't know.
How are Austin Reed look getting double team?
We don't think if Austin Reed go to Brooklyn, he's going to average 30?
Do you think he don't know?
No.
We don't think.
Do you think Austin Reed is a good passer?
Do you think he knows how to pass out of a double team?
Have he seen him in that situation?
You just can't lay with somebody like it's just a dumb-abash basketball football
He won't average 30, but all I know is to shoot.
Austin Reeves are average about 8-9.
I'm on this team.
I have to do that.
That's what he's shown so far.
Who am I passing that to on Brooklyn?
Please tell me.
I'm sure if Cam Thomas was on the Lakers and he averaged like 18 or 7,
it would look better than that 20.
Like it would.
That's better.
That's what I'm saying.
It would get offered more, way more.
18-19-19.
18-7-17 looks better than his, his 20-right right now.
Well, let's, like, Giddy.
What did he?
So this game has changed to, they call them sheet stuffers.
So what we thought like 33 and 5, like hell yeah, that's today's 21, 7 and 7.
Right?
So they're valuing people who are the 10, 9, and 8, that's 25, 7 and 8.
They want someone who's doing every single thing.
I can move you around.
They don't want, they don't, they don't want, they don't want the 33 and three no more.
Got you.
We can keep your balls stopped.
They want, they want that international look where those got, my star player is affecting the game,
rebounding, scoring, passing.
And that's what they're looking at.
That's why Giddy can get a hundred while everybody else is sitting there like.
No team is like that.
There ain't one team is star players like that.
Brunson don't do none of that shit.
Shit, Yokish?
The only person do is.
Yonkish.
Yonis.
All of your roles?
That kid in Blaze?
What was the kid in Blaz?
Luca.
Danny Avvia?
How much he made?
Let me see you.
Did he just get?
I guarantee he's going to get 100 plus.
So Americans don't do it.
We don't know how to do nothing.
Trey Young.
He does that stuff.
Double, double.
Jason Tatum.
Yep. Jason Tatum, full stats.
He signed a four year $55 million back in 2023.
So he's going to get this contract come up.
All right, well, let's shift this back to the Warriors, though,
which was the initial title.
of discussion. Appreciate this great conversation. This is Gills Arena
presented by Underdog Woo-W-W-W. That's the problem, man.
Woo-W-W-W? Glorify Sixth. We're still working. That was a pre-season
Woof Woof! Regular season, B-Hooke. Niggins got preseason
Woof. Let's get it out our system. All right. So I guess that's all you have to do
anytime we're in a debate. You did it, baby. You was a champ. You did it. I
know, see? Then I know. You were a champion with the Golden State Warrior. So we
Think I can snap his head off?
Don't do that, please.
He's just rare.
This is rare.
I'm pretty sure it's the only one.
No, no, they gave him out.
They get him out.
They're everywhere.
They're everywhere.
We asked the chat.
Did Kaminga make the right call?
61% of the chat says no.
But let's take a look at the Warriors in general heading to
this season.
So in addition to retained the Cominga,
Warriors also retained the Anthony Melton,
Gary Payton II, and Quinn in Post.
They signed out Horford to replace Kivan Looney
and brought in Seth Curry, brother of
Steph Curry.
Nepotism at his finest.
No, I'm just kidding.
I'm just kidding.
Steph deserve his job.
Words were 25 and 25 before the Jimmy Butler trade last season.
Finished the season 23 and 9, the team going 22 and 5 with Steph and Jimmy Buckets.
We're both in the lineup.
I'd help them secure the 7th seed, advance the second round of playoffs.
Obviously, Steph had the hamstring injury in that second round series, effectively end of the season.
But looking at this team, Steph has vocalized his desire to still be a part of a winning team,
a championship level squad.
Is this warrior squad
in their championship window still open?
Okay, I'm just letting you know, Gil.
Don't hate.
Damn.
I don't know they sign any, brother.
You ever been in the projects?
Once or twice.
There's bars on that window, huh?
So you can't come in or get out, right?
They don't open.
So there's no open window on this team right now.
That is too old, not enough
You think after what you saw after the trade down with Jimmy Bubble?
There's not enough attributes for how Steph plays.
How Steph plays, he's going to keep him relevant, but it's like he needs another guy that helps him move.
Buddy Hill.
Can he keep that up?
Buddy Hill, him, Buddy Hill.
Look, move Drummond to the bench.
Let Jimmy Butler play Remind, you know what I mean?
I would let Jimmy Butler need to buy in the business.
being the new Draymond.
He can play that position.
So what does Draymond do then?
He'd come off the bench and be the anchor.
Damn, man.
He won't everybody off the bench.
What is he giving us when he's starting?
He's giving us defense, now he's a great defensive player, but what is he given us?
What is the stats last year?
I think the window's open.
It's going to be six, six to seven.
Steve.
Steve Curry, shit.
Six to seven.
It ain't no disrespect.
It's adjusting to the time.
I mean, it's adjusting to the time.
Can't do no wrong.
9.6 rebounds, 6 assists.
9 6 and 6.
9 6 and 6.
So Jimmy can't give us that?
What was Jimmy's?
What was Jimmy's?
He was talking about Yonan and his brother still did the same thing.
We didn't hear one problem.
No, we, Seth is going to do it.
Seth is a good battle.
Where's Seth men at?
So with the Warriors, in Philly, he was in Charlotte last year.
Jimmy Butler average, 18, 6, and 6.
18, 6 and 6.
And his 30 games with the Warriors.
Come on, man.
What?
1866 Jimmy Butler 1866 in his 30 games with the Warriors last season
He averaged 1866 it looks quiet as fuck
Nash was complaint 186 and 6 and we was complaining about it too
Jimmy it looked like I'm on man you got to shoot some more 20 23 and 9 after the trade
22 and 5 with Jimmy and step together
I think the window still open that's they need they need
mr. B why they think the window still open because they got the greatest point guard ever
I mean he's not slowing down
So you see him running around and
I mean him alone is just going to always have them in the conversation
So I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on this war squad
Especially we saw after the trade downline last season
I know I get it I get it
Did we complain when when Clay Thompson moved to the bench?
Yes yes
So why did they do that
Wrong because it was stupid
Shake some shit up trying to shake some shit up
They did they shook it up
He was stupid
He broke in put his Minsky
in front of him, right?
And he didn't pay him out yet.
Where is it?
You moved?
He did it?
He went the torch to be passed to him.
What was that last year?
That was part of that next generation.
By the fire.
When they did that?
He said, he wanted the torch to be passed to him,
yeah, by the end with the fire on it.
They bench Clay Thompson.
Messed his mental love for Presidency.
And Pizzinski didn't turn out to be
what they thought he was going to be.
And they didn't pay play.
Butler though. You got Jimmy Butler that could come in, offset, all of the shit you're missing,
make the game faster. Like, you got to think about it. When Draymond's in the game with that
core, that core with Al Horford, you got one guy you can sit off of. If you put Jimmy Butler
in that position, you got to play all five guys now. It ain't saying nothing to bad about
Drake. It's like Drake can come off the bitch and anchor the second unit. Whoever that second
unit is, but you got a faster, more mobile, and you got a bigger threat in Jimmy
Butler that can give you 25, 30 coming off that four spot.
Then you got Buddy Hill in there.
Don't nobody knows stuff like Dreimmy at the four.
If you're playing small already, he's taller.
He's taller than Draymond.
Stephanie.
But he don't play bigger than Draymond.
He played defense.
He played defense.
He passed the ball.
He do everything Draymond do.
He don't know Steph like Draymond do though.
He don't do.
They got a connection, bro.
I'm telling you.
I think you keep.
You got our horse without you.
Oh, and you got.
Oh, so you got no protection at the rim.
You got, your center that got a five-foot-inch vertical.
We ain't been playing defense the last three years anyway,
so it don't even fucking matter.
So just get it and go.
Get it and go.
We fast.
There ain't no defense in the NBA no more.
Stop this being defensive.
They resign quitting the post, you said, correct?
They got quitting their post.
Come on the bench.
Like, I'm just, like, damn,
I'm telling you, they're playing with different lines.
Yeah, he should be started.
He should be started.
He started some games guys here.
They don't.
Not no out over Quinn Post will be your five.
Disgress the floor.
Yes.
Quinn's put your five on offense and then let Dreemond do what Dremont does.
Quinn Post will be your five.
The word's going to be better in Clard five in the NBA.
Mr. B.
No.
The Warriors are going to be better at the hook?
The Clippers, for sure.
You know why?
Why?
Because Jimmy Butler plays team basketball.
Right?
Great team basketball guy.
There's no, there's no defined second option.
for that team
right so there's like
Kaminga hasn't stepped up
and Buddy Hill has a step to say
yo I'm gonna be taking those 18 20 shots
and I'm gonna be that second guy
so Jimmy you can be the third
they don't have that yet
right now it's Steph playing Steph
and then a guy playing very great basketball
they don't have the clay
they don't have they don't have that guy
that says okay he's the number two
like we need that like that's the problem
Unless Kaminga can turn into that and say, we're guaranteeing 18 from him with Jimmy Buller averaging his 18, 6, and 6.
Now he's talking about different team.
So is Jimmy not number two?
Jimmy, I'm not number two?
It's hard to be at number two when Steve Kerr telling you to pass the ball to one person.
Look, you got Steph.
He's telling everybody that's buying one person.
Buddy Hill, Jimmy Butler and Al Horford.
That could be your starting five.
A very old.
So who's taking this?
So if your number two is averaging 18.
Would be the oldest 305 in the NBA after close to 37.
An NBA.
You're, like, you're, your second option.
They put post in.
Everybody is the second option to start.
The oldest state warrior.
Your second option is averaging 18.
Like, that's not a second option.
Like, your second option.
He's not going to, he's going to play good basketball.
He's going to go, like, so you need him as a curve.
But I think on that team, the way they have constructed it and the way they play,
you have in Steph average what he's going to average.
We know that whatever that is.
And Jimmy Butler and Kamiga averaging 18 apiece.
Yeah, that's what I said.
That's fine.
That's fine.
You can get away with that.
But if it's, but if it's 13, 12, 10.
You can get away with that.
See, they thought Pazinsky was going to be averaging 20 for Clay.
I mean, they're going through 30 years.
No way they thought that.
No way they thought that.
Nobody thought that.
That's why they did the shit.
Why you think they benched them?
He got...
They thought he thought he was going to average 20?
They thought he was going to make more open shots.
They thought he was going to make more open shots.
They thought he was going to make more open shots.
He just liked him because he reminded of him.
Play was on some booed, right?
He was not making a shot.
They didn't think he was going to average.
I hate that.
I hate with players.
Come in there.
Steve, Kurt, thought that he should be fired.
But Jeffey, only in his third season.
He thought that he should be fired.
Average 12 points per game last year.
Clay got, Clay was getting
a hoaxie with it.
Hey, Clay was getting talked down upon
because he wasn't making shots.
Average in 18 points a game.
This is he coming off at the A.C.L, though, wasn't it?
No.
No.
This is last.
Last year, the 20, 20, 23.
Well, this is because of the contract, right?
Shooting 43% shooting 38.
He was getting like, oh, yeah, we don't need him no more.
They thought Pazinski can do at least that.
You know, that's because he was making open shots.
Yeah, I would make open shots.
He ain't a better shoot than Clay?
And then I can, if Clay is goddamn Curry on the call, of course I can make some open shot.
Jordan Poole proved that.
No, but Jepowski averaged 12 points per game last season, shot 37% from 3.
40% from 3%.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, he shot 37% from 3%.
And average 12.
12, 11.7.
Can you know we round us?
I dig it.
And they benched clay.
They benched clay at 38% from 3.
Average in 18.
Man, y'all's, man.
Warriors, boy.
That's nasty.
Warriors top five.
They just didn't want to pay Clay.
We all know that was the deal, though.
They didn't want to pay that bread.
Warriors top five.
We believe he was going to leave at the time.
It was all new.
The Warriors are not liking to pay the bread.
All right, well, let's shift it forward to something that
Steph Curry may benefit from this season.
The NBA has some,
new foul rules that will likely benefit sharpshooters like Steph.
The first is the high five rule where a defender cannot hit a player on the hand during
their shooting motion.
The second is a delayed contact rule, meaning if the player is hit after his release, it can
still count as a foul.
So in response to the new rule changes, Steve Kerr had this to say.
Well, the biggest one is the high five rule, which, you know, we were, the coaches
association was part of in collaboration with the league.
you know the last few years we've really led defenders
get away with fouling jump shooters on hand you know we
call everything down low but guys have been allowed to
you know foul jump shooters and so they're tweaking the rules on that
they're not allowing as much contact their shooter
is allowed is now able to follow through
about the reason for the high five rule of guys shooting you know they literally
could high five and and that's now going to be a lot
now going to be foul.
And then the other one, like, where you release a shot and the guy comes in and just
hammers you on the wrist, you know, a full second after, that was a plan that the, the players
were just taking advantage of because of the rules.
And we're not going to allow that anymore, which is great, because there was, I think
there was a risk of players getting hurt.
So protecting shooters seems to be the main view.
Protecting shooters?
I love it.
I know how you guys feel, but we're going to start first with Kenyon as our resident.
Defensive expert.
Are you rolling with the NBA's new high-five and delayed contact rules for shooters this season?
I don't like the delayed contact thing.
I think guys should be allowed to follow through in your shot as part of it.
Yeah, so if they call in the high-five thing, yeah, I get it.
So guys, you should be able to follow through because contesting a shot is not making contact with the offensive player.
once the ball is gone
and shit
damn it halfway to the rim and I hit your arm
like I didn't affect your fucking shot
the ball is gone so
yeah I
I'm on the fence
actually I'm on the fence with that one
because you just can't come through and wipe a guy out
I get that
even then the ball is going
you're not affecting his shot unless you're affecting
where he's landing
so but yeah but the high-fire thing
I definitely understand it
and for them, for guys to complain about it,
for actually shooters to complain about,
they're not able to follow through in their shot
to complete their, yeah, so.
But it's all, I mean, this offensive way guys
finding how to get an advantage,
a competitive advantage, same thing,
so this is what it is.
Swagg, I see you over there smiling.
Oh man, I hate that hand part of the ball bullshit.
It's down low, it's down low.
I'm saying, hand part of the ball.
But it's not, though.
They know now 24, every time you touch me
it's a foul.
I love this shit.
You don't touch me while I shoot.
It's a foul.
I don't think of applause, then, Nick.
That's 24.
That 24, they didn't touch me.
Hey, foul.
Check it out.
Check it up.
Check it up.
Jack Boston. It's the new NBA rule.
This will be how you feel about these two new rule changes for this?
I'm glad because growing up, I mean, you are taught to shoot like this.
So with the follow-through, so for somebody to slap your hands,
I remember my rookie year Mike Bibby that was his thing again when he was guarding me was
slapping my hand after shots or something like that and I just think just for like injury wise
somebody come slapping hand you could dislocate a finger break somebody's finger so I'm glad
to clean it up Cemetery Larry how you feel about can we clarify again what the rule is so there's
two rules the first is the high five rule a defender cannot hit a player on the hand during their shooting motion
second delayed contact rule
meaning if the player is hit after his release
it can still count as a foul
okay it could still count
so it's gauging
both of those rules are
I'm shooting
can't touch me
it's a file
and it seems
will benefit Steph amongst other
sharpshooters in the league
it was already benefiting stuff
all shoes
yeah but he is
it was already benefiting him
and it benefits him with him
and James Hart was the ones
that was getting away with all that shit
every time.
Like you said, if it don't affect the shot,
if it's already gone, man,
all this is, I can hit you, I can do whatever.
That's just, that's a personal thing.
You got nothing to do.
You got nothing to do with the shot because the shot is gone.
So it should go in, shouldn't, whatever it is,
I know it's going.
That's the only thing the defense can do at that point
once you get the shot off is either hit your hand
or hit your elbow or hit your leg or something like that.
That's just to affect you mentally.
Thank you.
So if you miss it, you thinking it's because it is, and it ain't, you missed it because you just missed it.
No, it is because you already let the shot go.
No, you already let the shot go.
And then I need to land.
And then I hit you, right?
But all that landing and up, if I hit your elbow after it's gone and I hit you, right?
What's the rule?
What's the rule?
You got to let it land, right?
That's a you thing.
Right, right.
That's the same thing.
I'm not affecting your shot.
You are.
No, I'm not.
I'm affecting your mind.
Right.
So if I'm going to walk in a park and then you come over back.
I get to hit you.
I get to hit you.
Let me do my damn thing.
Now I get to hit you.
Now you're in my space that you want to over exaggerate the father through and shit.
Get in here, girl.
And that's how we were getting it back.
Yeah.
Why you hit me?
Why I'm talking about it?
Hell no.
Now I get to wipe you out.
Get in there.
Get in there, girl.
Let me talk to her.
That's like the same bad day.
And the same bad day.
Once you shoot, I can hit you in the boat here.
Right after you shoot it, boom, he took up, exactly and hauling through each.
Look up.
Maybe him in the phone here.
What?
It's not gone.
Now that would be a foul with the delayed contact.
No, I don't like nothing.
But that's the, that's the issue.
What he just said is exactly why they took it away.
What he said has nothing to do with defending anything.
Yeah, it's just you doing it.
Yes.
Right?
Yeah.
You shoot the ball.
It used to be.
We go behind, touch the back of the knee back of the lane.
You start doing, you know, sit here, do the poke in the thing.
Because now I know you do that, so it makes me want to shoot because I don't want to fit.
Like I said, I have to gain some type of competitive advantage.
We don't have none in that.
They take all the advantages away from all the defense and we have nothing.
So therefore, I've got to find some tricky shit to do.
And that's what it is.
But it's hard to get a whole move, jumping to the side, side step.
All that's saying is like, what they're saying, they can let me hit his elbow at least.
They're saying that, let me hit his elbow, he didn't step back three times trying to get me to foul in that day.
So shit, that's what they're doing.
And they're saying that because it's, it has no relevance why are you still touching the person?
Right?
So that's just like, well, in a sense is you are saying why you're shot because now he's consciously thinking about it because I'm not like play defense.
What do you need to hit his hand for?
because if you hit if you do this in an air ball they don't even call it a block yeah cool so it's not a block no
and it's contest you know what I mean it's a contest right it's like so like so it's so that's what I'm saying
you're not even calling this a block shot because it went short it is it's just nothing but if we do get the block
and he stick his leg out and he fall they get the block they call office no no I'm not just talking about that
I'm just talking about if I actually get the block and he fall,
they're giving me the foul on a clean block.
No, no, no, no.
I come and I tip it, and I'm anywhere near him.
I got to give him all this room to land.
We have no advantage as a defense.
Why are you jumping four full speed at a motherfucker?
No, I think because you're that good.
You're that good.
What are you jumping into me?
That's crazy.
But I get the plot.
But I get the block.
No, once you hit the ball, it's kind of like a, it's like a real.
It's like an invisible reset.
If I run into you, like if I fall into your body,
because you're doing this.
Show me.
Because you're doing this shit.
You know what I'm showing.
Show me.
Show me.
Show me.
Come on.
I'm going to shoot.
This is what this is this is going to come.
I'm going to shoot it.
Watch out.
And you block.
And you're still coming in to me like this.
Clean play.
No, because I got a leg.
He's going to keep.
He's not there's no.
He blocked it for me.
No.
Why are you running like this?
Let's go the other way.
Let's go the other way.
All right.
All right.
Well, you shoot and I don't get there.
Okay.
Shoot it.
File.
Why?
You already shot the ball.
But why are you touching?
Because I can't get close to you to get the block.
So don't do nothing.
You can't get closer.
That's on your problem.
But the ball is gone.
But you still touch.
So if I block you, right?
You do that.
You know what I block you and then I hit you.
That's a foul.
That's a foul.
That's a foul.
At what point can I get the block?
No.
No.
I have to tell you.
Straight up.
Oh, yes.
Get the fuck out of here.
You got to give me something.
No.
No, let me hit your elbow after all of them.
These, they're wrong.
How?
If you block the ball, it's a reset.
You touch the ball already.
So if you fall on him,
it's like a block shot.
They've been calling it.
No.
They've got to let me play.
I blocked the shot and I know you.
They've been calling that a foul.
That's a foul.
They've been calling at a foul.
The time is simultaneously, right?
But if you block it and hit you at the same time,
they're going to call a foul.
If I block it then wipe you the fuck out,
there's nothing.
Get your ass up.
You think it's a thing that's landing.
What's the thing that landing?
You're not letting me land.
If you block me, I can't land, it's still a file.
The ball resets it.
Trust me.
If I block it, it's reset.
If he, if he challenged it on your head, it's still a file.
If he challenged it.
If he challenges your shot and he didn't touch nothing and he runs until you do this, that's a foul.
That's what they're calling a foul.
If once I block the shot, everything is even now.
We're both.
Let me land.
Why?
No matter if you block it and you run all into me, that's a foul.
All right, y'all crazy.
All right, I see.
It's a loose ball.
I already, the ball is not your position anymore.
Once I hit the ball, it's not your possession anymore.
I block it is a loose ball.
We both going after.
You shoot the ball.
Let's put the form.
If I shoot the ball, I shoot the ball.
I'm blocking and I keep coming like this and fuck you up.
That's not a foul.
Are you blocking it?
I'm still coming and knock your ass out.
If I shot the ball and you block it, now you're running to me?
Yeah.
Nick, I just do it all the time.
That's good.
Trying to get to the ball first.
Get to the ball first.
Once you hit the ball, once you hit the ball in.
Nineteen 869.
1988.
That's why that's why the layups with somebody, when they block it
and they run through them, they don't caught nothing.
Man, stop.
Because the play is still going.
The player's still going.
So if I get the block, I'm taking it off.
I'll kick you in your chair.
Just keep going.
If you're a foul.
If you're a dream mind, that's a file.
So, Gil, a question for you,
how much would your scoring have benefited
if these new rules were around when you were playing?
I trained with that.
We had shame bad here, man.
Do this shit.
But now you're getting a foul for those.
He put his hand in there.
I put my face, like he used to, back then they used to do this, right here.
Right there, put the hand in there, and you just, oh, you pretend you got hitting the eye and stuff like that, and then they called that off.
But we had this and that, what he does.
Yeah.
But all you do is just, hey, you just start doing stuff like that, you know what I mean.
So kick the field.
They used to, they used to do the, you know, the Bruce Boyan put the foot standing under you.
Right.
So now when you're shooting, you're trying to worry about where you're laying.
So he don't need to do this because you're sitting there like, you know, shit.
Kill O'Neill, you try to pull up a jumper and he did he do one of these right here.
You weren't about landing more than somebody touching you, but.
So it remains to be seeing how this rule...
You know, I would still get buckets. It don't matter.
Touch me, don't touch me, right?
You know what I mean?
So it remains to be seeing how these rules will impact the season, but how much of a lot?
It's going to be a lot.
It's going to be a lot.
How is going to affect the game is going to be fucking slower once again.
Because they're going to be calling this shit unnecessarily until they're going to figure it out.
Until they're going to really figured out.
They're going to be blowing the whistle on the whole lot.
You can't touch this at all.
The scores will be higher, though.
Scoring should be higher.
Yeah, scoring will be higher because there'd be more free throws at stop clock.
Yeah.
But now the game will be slower and fans will complain.
No, no, no, no.
The benefit's the three-point shooting that we're all doing now.
There's more three-point shots.
Free-throw merchant shots.
Now we're finding to contest those shots are now foul.
They don't want you contesting shots.
No, who's going to.
They want the scoring going on.
Like, he gets hit a little bit.
They don't want you to contest the shots.
He shoots this fast.
Yeah.
This is.
He gets a lot of contact
Brunson is going to eat
Brunson will eat a lot
because he follows through
Yeah, he follows through a lot
He stepped in his shot
Shade fucking round like average
40 they start calling
They start calling these little hits right here
Here and here
Not being able to follow through
Oh, Trey Young
Well how did that affect
Tray Young about to eat
Cricket Tish
You're going to play after I do it
The first time you shoot it and I do this
You can be like
Come on, ref, what's this? What's you doing?
Trey Young
about to eat.
What happened to just putting your stick on?
Yeah.
Like, why do I got to touch somebody when they should?
But that's what they call it off.
Why is this even an issue for defendants?
I'm mad, I can't touch it next.
I can't touch this thing no more.
Yeah.
So you're going to be in.
So you came in after, so during my, when I first came into the league and years after, right,
when they implemented this shit that y'all benefited from called freedom of movement.
Right?
Right.
No chucking.
None of that dumb as much.
Listen, Nick, y'all wouldn't have made it, man.
I'm telling you, Nick.
The free chuck round across the line.
You know, you cut the ball and you run through the lane?
You hit.
Oh, my God.
We had to hit you.
Each big, listen, each big, we are going to get one on you.
I'm going to get a free one.
Because you might come behind me instead of a rip back screen one time.
Yep.
And you might get a good one.
Mm-hmm.
I got you, little motherfucker.
I got you.
Guessing you.
You see a LAC cuts.
shit you come down and got you I'm gonna get you with the elbow too right that's a
problem like that's like college and then what's the once they got a
mental problem but no one thing out why you think like certain guy I had a hard
time and just look look no I play physical physical contact is wrong man
basketball I used to play that jail house ball yeah that was a jail house 24 you
play like you in jail we didn't have the NBA you don't play like jail you don't think about
Or you just ain't never been to jail.
It smelled like pine oil down here.
But I'm just saying.
Pine old city.
Think about an often to the gas chamber, right?
I know.
Look about pads.
Like brush screen, brush green the big man.
I lost two teeth doing that.
Yes, man.
Brush green is the worst.
No, Nick, you know how many the guards got cussed out.
Listen, you know how many guards got cussed out and field?
For not bump.
You got to bump.
For not bump in the big.
I remember that shit.
You asked, listen, call out, listen, Caliard rookie,
Look, listen, I ran through him.
He looked up at me like, God damn, Big Dog, I thought we was cool.
No, you were not cool.
You were not cool.
Yes.
Yes, Nick.
Because that's what we're talking about.
Why are we getting on the course?
I hurt people.
It's not football.
No, Nick.
Listen.
So the next time you went, the point I'm making is, if you went to go set that screen, guess what you're going to do?
Yep.
You're not going to, listen, because you're going to remember this, this is motherfucker
ran through me last time, though.
Thank you.
I remember that shit.
I remember we got a touch the part.
You're getting in trouble.
Denver Pick and Roll, you
are Mello, you're rolling down the middle.
If we don't bump you, what you're going to go
get?
It's a lob dump.
You had to bump him
on the road.
Hold him up, Lord, man.
Hold him up.
Stand him up.
Stand him up.
Stand him up.
That was the shit.
And the thing about me,
I'm going to invite that.
He wants to run into you.
I want you to be.
I want you to be.
there, so I can put my
forearm in your chest
and you're not going to do that no more.
Now he's going to, the coach is like, why you're not
standing in Kmart? Because now I catch the ball
out of the middle. Now I catch the ball at the dots
instead of the free throw line.
Yes, bro. That's what they take away.
That used to be the defense strategies, though.
The defense strategies bump the
big and get back to your own.
Now it's let the motherfucker run free
and jump and dunk. With no belt.
Those are called linemen. That's football.
Like when you hike the ball, you block
this is basketball. This is basketball.
If you don't need to touch people on the board.
I wish you had to did it.
This is ballerina.
These ballers, man.
I had this.
You're mad because I'm shooting the ball and you can't touch me.
Look, I would have to have the screen on.
Right here.
And he's mad, he can't run through you.
Like, what the fuck?
I'm going to turn.
I can't hurt this.
I'm running to.
They run cross four.
He's not, listen.
Cross four.
They've got to set a good screen on him.
I got to go out to get his shot.
Do y'all hear that?
Y'all, hear what y'all sound.
Y'all mad that they can't hurt a person because we set the screen.
We were not getting hurt, me.
Like, I'm trying to set the screen and you're mad.
I can't elbow you in the face.
You wasn't.
You wasn't getting hurt.
I wasn't.
I was.
I was so bad for you.
The first part of it is you set the cross screen, then you get the down screen.
America's play.
I hit you in your chest.
Now you can't go get your shot.
You late.
You're late coming up.
You go out.
You go out that mom, but you do this.
You run off you.
And the point guard waiting on you like, come on.
They're supposed to be coming off.
He's like,
cornerbacks do that.
Guess what I did my job?
The fire line, the cornerbacks do that before the fire your line.
That's why they took it off.
And guess what?
I affected the whole play.
Now, you know how many veneer?
That was the whole point.
Defensively, you have to do your job to affect the play.
You lost vener.
Bro, you know how many veneers I lost trying to do a brother?
I hit, I fouled Dallenberg.
Oh, he's wild too.
He ain't got no control.
He just like the fucking.
Sam Dallembert?
Yeah.
It was one of those fouls where I shouldn't have did it, right?
It was one of those, right?
He's trying to cross him.
I just did one of those, right?
And then the next play was chin, uh, it was chin 15.
I passed and go brush him.
Oh, you.
Woo!
Oh, I don't know, boom, as soon as I walked through, pop.
Too, too, too, wow.
Damn.
It was out there, pine, good.
Yes.
Hey, bro.
Hey, bro, you guys.
Hey, hey, I told him,
meet me after the game.
Did you meet him after the game?
Hell yeah, until they said he was a black belt.
So you did not meet him.
Man, I walked right in my locker room, man.
He forgot all about that.
He's a black belt.
Nick, getting screened by John Stockton,
it's a whole different ball game, dog.
Him and Jeff Hornichick.
Yeah, dirty Jeff.
Trying to get Carmelho's on the front screen.
And that back screen, they cut,
listen, they run a UCLA, cut off and cut off.
Come back up instead of back school.
Matt Hartford.
Matt Hartford is the worst.
Listen, dog.
I hate it playing against him, bro.
I'm still looking for Matt.
Matt is one of them.
You're like, yo, where he stay at.
And then if you try to do it against him, protecting him.
If you're in the chat, you have Matt Hartford can dress.
It was all that motherfuck.
Hey, what did Bob Cooney?
Dirty-ass green.
Bob Coosie.
Who?
Bob Coosie.
On that note, let's see.

Before I realized, I learned that first, yeah.
It was my first year.
Niggins was out of taking V's and C's early.
Oh, you call that cheating.
You're stacking the deck.
Oh, no, oh.
Knicks is taking V's and seeds as a 27-year-old.
Hey, niggins has 27-year-old
I'm like, yo, you niggins is diabolical, man.
Oh, man.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
Kate.
Well, I'm good.
No, no, no.
We wasn't taking that for the girl.
We were taking that for our girlfriend at home.
I'm made, man.
All that cheating we did, we still got to be excited when we get home.
Yeah, I did.
I'm not excited to see you.
But let me go ahead.
But there's some reverse effect, don't.
I need to make sure I'm ready with our train.
I'm not.
You're not ready.
For her, no.
No, you're not ready because you, so you've been on the road for 12 days.
Yes, having fun.
And you come home.
Back to that.
No, but I'm saying.
Back to that.
No, I'm saying.
you come back home to it, right?
That first one better be immediately.
So therefore you...
That's all, but they never noticed.
They never noticed.
They never got it.
We landed.
We landed.
Nickas's been on the road for 12 days.

Go on, bro.
No, no, there's five minutes back.
She's going home.
She's going to go out.

Oh, yeah.
You don't took some shit, little niggins.

This her thing, not fuck you didn't.
That's the furthest thing from her thoughts.
See, you have smart.
You have smart with me.
We had to worry about that.
It was just, we were just excited.
We were excited.
You better turn that.
You got five-game road trip.
Hey, game three, and you better turn it off.
I just have it.
I just do it back-to-back.
I miss you.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Gil's.

Right?
Ah, man, all right, it's been long enough.
Like, you got a child at odds and shit.
See what we did for our girlfriends and wives?
Let's kick this movie.
Back to basketball.
Back to basketball, please.
You're not going to finish this, and I just want you to know.
You can keep.
Case is a very good subject, though.
It's a very good subject.
And we have not an ample amount of time.
We have a lot of topics left to get into the show, but let's shift over to Dallas,
talk about the Mavs.
So Anthony Davis was the key Mabbs acquisition in Lucre trade last season.
Battled injuries, the team finished 10th in the West before losing to the Grizzlies in the 8-9 playing game.
So Davis underwent eye surgery this offseason and we'll wear protective goggles for the rest of his career.
But let's talk about something else going on with AD.
At the start of training camp, AD had Mab's fans concerned after showing up 15 pounds heavier
than he was to start training camp last season
going from 253 to 268 pounds.
So in response, David said,
I never want to come in at my playing weight
because then I lose weight during the season
and I'm too small.
He also added that he can lose 10 to 12 pounds very quickly.
But can we pull that photo that side by side up of...
I'm like Jamesworthy.
This is what he looks like at Matt's training camp.
That's what he looked like last season.
But should Matt fans be concerned
with AD showing up to training camp
15 pounds heavier than last season?
How many games as he played so far?
He played it all four of their preseason games.
And no one's complained.
Right, I watched him a little bit last night.
He's moving fine.
Yeah.
I mean, listen, he's been in league long enough to know his body, right?
You know, there's some guys in here that can drop weight fast, right?
You know, Kenyon, I'm pretty sure if you went in overweight, two days of training, you
Cambuette back to normal, right?
So, you know, there's guys
that can drop it and, you know.
How old is it? How old is it?
35?
30, 31, 31, 32.
Anthony Davis.
32 years old, 33 and March.
I mean, I'm not necessarily worried about him.
I mean.
Any concern?
I'm watching.
He got some criticism a couple weeks ago,
but has played in all four preseason games,
like you mentioned, Gil.
There's just certain body types need to come in shape
Because they gain weight during the season.
Then there's guys who lose weight.
Was it Paulo Ventura?
He loses about seven pounds per game from liquid.
So, you know, he's the type of guy that might want to come in a little bit heavier
knowing that he's going to lose it really fast, right?
So it's not like he can come in trying to, you know.
All the minutes he's going to play, he'll lose weight for sure.
How did you guys like coming in a training camp?
heavier, lighter.
What was your preferred?
In shape.
In shape.
For me in shape.
I felt like I have to be here.
I gained weight during this year.
I've never had a weight, probably.
I couldn't tell you, that shit didn't.
Getting on the scale didn't.
Wasn't a thing.
I ain't survived too many training camps.
I was only there a few times, so.
It didn't matter.
I was going to shape or not, nigga.
You're going to make this training camps or not?
He's probably being the best shape.
Oh, I didn't see my motherfuckers come in?
No, trust me.
Hey, so we come from the old school training camp days.
Nigs come in, boy, hey, what you made on all something?
Of course, you look crazy out here.
Like, you'd be sitting like, yo, this is about to hurt.
Hey, you're looking at them like, yeah, this is about to hurt you, bro.
You're going, you go.
And they're throwing up and all that.
Like, you didn't run nothing?
Nah.
Nah.
Yeah.
He didn't touch the ball?
Matter of fact, I was out drinking last night.
Huh?
I can't believe it's people that.
Because we have.
They use, they use training.
Because we had 30 days, right?
So they had, we had 30 days.
We had 30 days of training.
No, no.
No, we had 30 days before the season started.
So two weeks of training count.
Right.
And then three weeks of training camp then preseason.
Did we play seven games?
And we practiced in full practice.
It wasn't no 30 minute practices.
We practiced in every day.
By the time you got there.
Yeah.
When I first got in.
It was still two days when I got in.
We had mini camps before training camp.
So we had a small little mini camp.
Then we had training camp.
And then we had the preseason practices.
And then you had to go to GERVs up in Vegas.
Man, then we had GERG.
I mean, what the fuck?
That shit was nasty.
And then most veteran teams, right, y'all came in shape.
Right, y'all did y'all do training really hard?
In Denver, in Jersey?
What was it, Summer League?
Fuck yeah, in Jersey.
The easy run.
Had Byron Scott.
You got out of your mind.
At last year, we had an order to still, we had, boy.
And then going to Denver doing training camp in Denver,
show up out of the shape if you want to.
Out of the two.
It ended up in the back of that motherfucker ambulance.
We was good.
Nothing.
When you?
No, I'm talking about like...
This is the way our training camp was good.
We had to learn offense coach.
We got to learn office coach.
We got to learn office coach.
We got to spend the whole time doing this.
We got to spend the whole time.
I know that shit was funny with you.
No matter what you do, you will never take my spot.
That's what I said?
Oh, my bad.
I'm just being honest with you.
We were busting ass.
He said, you know what?
No matter what you do here in this practice,
you're gonna still be on that big chin for me.
I said, you're gonna feel pure shit.
You don't tell people shit like that.
You don't break people with that.
You still will be cheering for me.
Half of how many shots you make?
So you bitch, niggas get disrespectful in practice.
Because y'all, because you're trying to get, you got to get the hot.
Y'all's our game.
That's our game.
Don't let the third.
Don't let the second third string get in there.
So you might be having a good day.
You may be having a good week.
But the only thing I have is my starting job here.
And I'm going to let you know.
I ain't going nowhere.
I ain't going nowhere, nigger.
I ain't going nowhere, nigger.
I'm not even in his position, though.
I'm, I feel like I could get Steve, Steve.
You're talking.
But he took, I know, but.
You're just gonna be ready.
You're gonna be cheering for him no matter what.
I'm not even, I don't play a point guard.
That's the only thing, hey.
Look, how are you gonna tell you don't play your position?
No matter what you do.
No matter what you do, brother.
But a rook man.
I said, fuck the here.
No, J.R. used to be listening, boy, practice.
I know J.R. used to go, yeah.
Hey, man.
Torch your motherfuckers in practice, dog.
And Tay used to be trying to talk back and forth.
I was like, shut up, man.
He's cooking you.
This man is like, and J.R. letting him know too.
Yeah.
But that's the worst.
The sixth man, the sixth man be the worst.
He's the best one in practice.
Because he wants to be the star.
Man, he wants to be the starter.
So he's going full board and he got the second unit to pass him to the ball the whole time.
I know all about it.
They're hyping.
Hibing him too.
Get them.
Like, wait.
Come on.
No, I'd be like that.
No, they were getting mad to shoot around, all that shit.
They guys shoot all the shoot around.
What?
And go hard too.
What?
Nick, you told me.
It's supposed to be just walked through.
Nah, Nick.
I'm fucking in.
What?
We're going to fight.
You're going to be mad as hell because I'm shooting this shit.
Y'all niggas going to play defense today?
You're going to be bad because you're going to walk through that motherfucker and I'm going to
keep the shit out of you.
I'm going to keep the shit out of you.
I'm going to put everybody out.
Like, you know what?
Y'all get out.
Those are you just
like you know
today.
They'll just be the worst
out there.
Man.
Hey, Nick, you're Kobe.
You're going to be Kobe.
You're like, oh, man.
You're going to be T-Mack here.
A-I today.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
You know, I'm going to be, all right?
Close and over him.
T-Mack, has he pool?
Yeah, man, that ain't so game.
I was in cut.
Nigel, Nick, Michael Ray.
You, Michael Ray,
today.
I get to shoot him when I catch it.
I get to do that shit.
Nick, man, you on y' ain't.
You don't do that in the game.
Charlie Belling him in practice.
So let's get back to Anthony Davis, if you guys don't know.
It looks solid in the preseason.
He had 25.6 boards against the Jazz on Monday,
but played center for a good portion of that game.
As you may recall, AD has said repeatedly.
He's a power forward.
He doesn't want to play center that much.
And he had 18.9 boards in the MAX final preseason game
Wednesday against an underman Lakers squad.
So, good.
You talked about AD coming into Field of Void of Luca
to get Mazz fans back believing in the organization.
How much pressure is on 80 to make this Mazz squad a contender in a tough Western conference?
I think to be honest, as we can see, I don't want to be rude, but I don't think the math fans really are paying attention to Anthony Davis.
He brings them something.
He brings them something in that game.
They have hope.
They got a replacement that basically took the pressure off, and that is Cooper Flagg.
The Cooper Flag is the face of that franchise now.
So it's not about A.D. and Luca, like, during a game, it wasn't nothing about A.D. and Luke, it's, the Cooper Flag is, is, was saying.
Taking that attention. It's taking that attention. How he plays, they're going to be cheering for him.
It's, it's, it's Cooper Flagg mania right now. They're putting him at the point. He's at the point, he's going to, he's going to play very well, right, at that position, because obviously, taught him or more athletic, right? He can pass the ball, but he gets to basically do whatever he wants to do.
So, you know, Andy Davis can thank him.
So Andy Davis can go out here and average 28, 12,
and don't even have to really worry about people criticizing them.
So you feel like Flag is taking some of that pressure off of Andy?
Yeah, they got somebody to pick.
All of it, all of it.
Well, I've been making a-ckel-flag going to be a rookie at a year.
I like him at the one, too, until country comes back.
That's the thing.
That's fluff.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
I'll be taking one, like, the point guard position seems so easy nowadays.
Like, everybody could just play the one.
You know what you play with money.
Because it's not a position.
It's not a position no more.
Yeah.
Not a position no more.
Nobody's pressure on the ball no more.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's cool.
Traditional point guard.
Let him try to bring that ball up against that guy,
that boy in Miami, that Davion Mitchell boy.
Man.
They all got smart.
Yeah.
Go bigger.
All these owners went away from the idea of
of...
Magic Johnson.
Magic Johnson made everybody believe the point guard was this playmaker when he is this
unicorn of a six-nine guy.
gave him the ball he has vision right if you start looking up history that didn't exist the point
guard being your best player winning championships as a facilitator didn't work right Isaiah
thomas was a score guard play right him and step curry the only two guards in the last 40 50 years
being that small winning championships so if your point guard was the guy like the chris pauls
and, you know, I'm making your team better,
then you wasn't winning championship.
So when you look at Phil Jackson,
and all his guys are about six, four to six, six, spot-up guys,
defending guys.
They never played point guard, really.
The ball went to our best player,
and then everybody started following that motto.
But that's not a scoring guard, though.
So now you got LeBron James come in,
and you're like, all right, he plays the point.
We can just get two guys to guard the guards,
but we're going to put the ball in this.
hands. He can see over the defense, you know what I mean?
Oh, stop. You know, so then you got, you know, Yokic put him, get him the ball.
He's our point guard, right? You got Luca, like, so you started realizing that
Jason Tatum, what I'm saying is Jason, Jason Tatum, Drew Holliday, Drew Holliday wasn't playing
the point guard, get that ball to Jason. It doesn't want to assess, so there's no
players up anymore. I don't need you to set the play up.
I'm just going to give it to my best player, my best player control the community facility.
You're saying instead of Magic Johnson actually being a point guard, which he was not,
he was a player who could play point guard.
He can play the point guard.
Cooper, not no fucking point guard.
But he can play, run the play, bring it up, start the play, Joker.
He can dribble it up.
We can start with you starting the offense.
Now, what do you do to the traditional point guard?
You erase him from the equation.
His job was to bring the ball up.
call to play where everybody else gets in position and executes that.
Now we don't have that where it's like, now you're just a small guy.
Ain't no, Derek Fisher.
No, that's what happened.
Derek Fisher, you don't come up here and run no place.
Sit your ass in that corner.
You guard the other small guy.
Steve, Kurt, sit your ass in that corner.
You're not having, you know, Brian Shaw, two assists.
Kenny Smith, two assists.
Like, these guys wasn't sitting here getting 10, 15 assists because that means my best players is not getting the ball.
right the Steve Nash types wasn't actually winning championships
yeah right so like when you're looking at Cooper flag
do you want Cooper flag throwing you to lob and doing you back door at 610
or do you want a small guy trying to make that pass well they realize
get that ball like that same thing with you said sit there and get that ball up we sit here
and throw that over there we got this an advantage changes the game
putting the ball in yon his head Chris webber's hand
um dudes out of the L like you're going to pressure
Then somebody else.
Who?
Who?
Who?
That's what I'm saying.
That's cool.
Who are you to pressure?
What position?
What player?
Are you going to be?
You're going to put a guard?
I'll let him.
Bring it up so freely.
Now we're back.
Anthony Davis bringing it up.
Who's going to guard him?
Another big?
I'll just change the person and bring the ball.
Get the ball back to me.
What's that?
What's getting the ball up?
Who's guarding him?
His band?
Yeah.
No.
You got to think about who's not.
You got to think about who's.
guard them. I'm pressuring. If I'm playing
against teams is wanting to bring the
big, bringing the ball up, we are
pushing up with the guards.
So when we get to half
court, whenever they try to do that,
oh, we're going to the post, and we just switch off.
Switch off down the line, hey, you
take him big, and I'm going to stay up top.
You make you a real point guard. We're going to a zone.
That's what we're going to do. We're not going to allow
him to show me. You are the four men
guarding him. You are also
big. So he comes down, he passes up,
the guard, guard him, and then you're just going to switch off.
It's too much.
It ain't. It's a pass off zone.
It's a fast off.
Are you not really looking at it?
So now these dumb-ass basketball players that's in the NBA now to think.
That's what you're doing.
Think about what I'm saying.
You're bringing the ball up, right?
Cooper back.
You're guarding Cooper.
Yep, okay.
Full court.
Up until the point where he's like, damn, I got to get off the ball.
Now, after he gets off the ball, he's like, I'm about to run him to the post.
They're going to throw him.
around, you're going to say
invert.
Invert, bigger.
What's going to do the ball back to him and he's going to shoot the three?
And ain't no basketball player.
I'm saying that you're saying they're dumb enough.
I'm saying they're not smart enough to make that fucking play.
They're going to try to get it to get it to get it.
Get it to get it.
We all right.
Somebody might shoot it before they pass it.
Yeah, we already switch off.
It's only 15, 40 seconds that you got to do it anyway.
So what's going to happen is
I have not flag at the point.
Right?
Meaning you as a point is going to not guard Karee and you're going to guard me.
Kyrie's not there.
Yep.
That's the reason why Cooper brings it up.
Why my point because Kyrie not there.
So, okay.
Who's my point?
DeAngelo Russell.
Okay.
DeAngelo Russell.
So by his big man.
Hey, DeAngelo, here, go.
No way.
Yes.
No way.
We're not that.
What are you thinking about?
That's why they not letting D.
You have the ball and the point guard was this.
If you could just say Delo, go.
Go is you have a five man on you now.
If you are going to guard, you're going to stand.
You have a three man on you.
Five man you guard these.
So I'm bringing the ball.
Brandon is going to guard him.
Brandon is going to guard him.
Brandon is going to guard him.
So what was that?
Now, whoever's supposed to be guards.
Brandon is guard me now.
Yes.
So I'm going to go and then we go reset.
And then I'm going to reset.
I'm going to attack.
I'm going to attack.
I'm going to attack.
No, fucking attack.
We get back.
we load up so what about what so what about so what about so when i leave kenyon let me wait
he's oh he's going to leave me no he said no he's going to leave ken
Brandon go leave me and run and go how I'm on a fast break you're picking them up full
it ain't no fast break it's the ball and I'm picking up the ball
can you're picking up the ball yeah that's picking up the ball you're just going to throw it ahead
we're going to throw it ahead and you just don't go ISO on the on what they do this
Now, we're going to load up and stay this and bring it again.
We're going to make the play.
We're going to take it.
Who's taking that shot?
That's what the shot thing was.
Cooper flag is the three.
They want to run their offense.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Because I don't think y'all are paying attention to what y'all saying.
There's no offense.
Okay, let me just paint the picture.
All right, let's think.
He's the point guard.
He's the three, he's a three, though.
No.
But the point guard is going to guard him.
Yeah.
Right?
The point guard is going to guard him.
Yeah, he's going to guard him.
So you're going to pick him up 94 feet.
Yes.
I'm just off guard
So that means
His new man has to guard me
It's like a J. Right
Right right
Some of the best
Hold on
What do you think I'm standing
With this big man garden
It's not a big man
It's like a three man
Where is this
Sixth and three man
Guarding me?
Where is it where is
Daniel?
Let's talk about where you at
Oh damn they don't even come on
It's you guys
Like to talk
So you're talking about
Bring them in
We're talking about
This is
This is Kingan at the point
Right
Ball ball here
This guy's got
This guy's got the inbound guys down here
Down there
All we got is him
Here now you're going to invert here
No this is Brandon up here
Brandon's guard Kenyon
Uh huh
I'm here
All the way down
I'm here right here
Yep
With Brindens with Kenyon's man
And this guy, this guy's back.
So we're, it's four on five.
Okay, so four on five.
We actually got, we got four defenders back,
and we only got this motherfucker pressure in the ball.
He's going to pass the ball straight to me.
Get back.
Now Brandon gets back.
There's no, I'm on a fast break.
There's no bad thing.
That's the biggest man on the team.
I am the fastest guy.
Wait, this is what I'm the fastest guy going on.
But this guy.
This guy.
easy to bring up this guy's man can help this guy's
three man this guy's gonna happen right this guy's brand can help
listen I turn he's the three man you involve the bound of me right
I turn I see Brandon is on me I don't want to dribble against Brandon
right I'm gonna throw that motherfucker to me but they're still listen the guy who's
inbound in the ball right no one's guarding him think about what I'm saying no one's
guarding the inbounder okay oh one so his man is back he's a free man but he can
actually go double that guy y'all
him out throw the ball too.
He's not.
He can.
You created a fast break.
No, it's not a fast break.
It's not a fast break.
I got my fastest guy going against.
And the best defender is guarding.
No, the best defender is guarding Cooper Flack now.
On every team, the small four is the best defender damn near.
The point guard is only to put pressure to slow the ball up.
If you're going to pitch ahead, we still got four defenders back here.
You got the slowest four defenders.
You got two offensive players up here.
We got four defenders here.
We have a three.
A freelance guy that can literally, if you throw it ahead to Brandon's guy, he is there for a two-on-one.
My fastest guy with the ball, my real point guard with the ball, is going against the slowest people.
He created a fast break, going full speed.
Who will be saying is going to do that?
And what shots do the NBA, and what shots are they trying to get in here now?
He's going to create a problem.
They're going to get a weak side three.
That's the shot they want.
No, you want Cooper flag to have beat a point guy.
That's what y'all won't.
Y'all want Cooper Flair to be the point.
We're taking that away from y'all.
So now y'all throwing it ahead to doing some other shit.
To the real point.
To who?
You're giving it to DeAngelo Russell.
You're giving it to DeLow.
Okay.
So now y'all office has changed.
And this is what?
Your office has changed.
D'O is going to get in the gap and guess who over the fucking corner?
It's two guys on Dilo.
There's that damn sharp shoot old Clay Thompson's over in the corner.
Hey, it's two guys on Dilo.
You're thinking about what I'm saying.
The end-bounder guy is no.
There's no one guarding the endbinder.
So he's going to inbound.
He's going to sprint down, right?
The inbounder?
The inbounder?
Sprint down, right?
Right?
Because he's going to be waiting to see if he's going to...
He's going to probably try to screen for Cooper against you.
Okay, but say if Cooper don't want to dribble, he just want to pass it up.
Who is he passing it to my point guard?
It's a point guard.
Now, if we're guarding him, the other guy that's guarding the endbounder is back with him.
So there's not going to just be no turn and point.
be no turning on that shit.
You have to now slow the ball down
and wait for those other two offensive players
to calm down.
We don't get the four on three.
I don't know.
You're not.
We will cook y'all.
How about that?
We will cook y'all.
We don't have no chance.
We don't have to.
We heard you.
We heard you.
Shot Mozilla, the chatter is calling.
We will cook them.
We heard you.
We've done this plenty of times.
We came in the era where they did press.
I was on the back line on the press
so I can get the ball and go against whoever's sitting back there
because those guys are so fit.
The guards who can guard me, they're in the front doing the 2-21.
So smart coaches reverse it.
Put Karan and Antoine there.
No, Karan and they put Karan and AD there.
They put me in the back line.
The ball went from them to me, I'm gone.
That's it.
So let's pretend, let's play.
Who is like you in the league?
right now.
No, let's play Indiana.
Maxie is probably the only one.
Let's play Indiana.
Let's play Madsie.
Let's let's let's look.
But we're talking about the Dallas Maverick.
We're not talking about, now you just ask.
Who is in the league like him?
I keep out.
Now you want to talk about the team.
Because we're talking about the Dallas Maver's and Cooper Flack.
Who in the league is like here?
I give you two names.
We only talking about the Dallas Marvaries.
Like I imagine, like, no, what I'm saying is Cooper Flats.
Let's say Cooper the four.
He's the four.
Point.
But the four is going to go.
He's the three, four, three, four.
He's the three, four.
He wants to play four.
You got to have the three men, guard them.
If they play in Minnesota, I'm like, what's the name?
Daniels.
Daniels.
Press the motherfucker.
That's an even match.
Pass.
No, that's a defender.
He will make him worse.
Now they're the same size, Nick.
Now next team.
Nick.
They're the same size.
You're talking about this is.
I got 30 teams to do this too.
What?
You are looking like.
The center is guarding the guard.
Bro, you're putting somebody else.
There's Nick.
He is the three-man.
Nick.
So you change your matchups, right?
So if you have your point guard, guard your foreman, right?
Just for his, why he's bringing it up.
Can I talk?
Can I fucking talk?
I bet two niggas talk.
Let can you speak.
If you put your port guard on the four-man, right,
that's who he's matched up on defensively.
Right?
Pick him up.
To guard him.
at any point
front court
back court
between that 94 50
is how big
the basketball court is
yes and no
when you cross the line
to fucking play basketball
it's 5 on 5 yes or no
so if the
one man on your team
is going to 4 men
on the other team
how else are the matchups
going to go
you can put the 5 men
on the 5 man
right
3 man on the 3 man
The three, but what, so is there not going to be a mismatch with the no?
No, it's no.
You are missing.
It's not.
It's not.
They're not playing Cooper flag at the three, I'm saying that, or at the four.
He's playing the point guard.
He's no longer the four men.
Yes, he has someone else at the four.
He's playing the point guard.
So that means it's Cooper and four other guys.
Just because we start the game.
We start the game and as a press conference, I'd be like, you know what?
I'm going to put Steph Curry on.
I'm going to put Steph Curry at the center.
what did they just say
they were trying out Cooper flag
and I'm going to try Steph Kerr at the
did they just say that
it's step my fucking five man
do you know
if I come into the press
I'm like
today we're going to experiment
and start stuff
after five
the line up they rode out
we're going to put our five
what we're going to come out
this is the lineup
they brought out against the Lakers
so they had a Cooper flag
at the one
play at the two
PJ Washington three
Anthony Davis
at the four
Derek liability
no point guard was in the game
there was no fucking there was no
No point guard in the game.
Can you listen to me in?
Who's going on?
Just so they sound stupid.
Who's guarding him?
Man, pressed out.
Oh, God damn.
Who guarded?
What are they talking about?
What are they talking about?
What are they?
What is a big?
That's why is this?
We're up on them.
We're up.
We're up.
We're up.
And listen, whoever
thought in the endbound.
When Gabe Biston was up?
Throw it.
That's Gay Bisson.
Put him in the polls.
I mean, that's going to be in the door.
How many points?
28.
Like y'all like, what are you talking about?
Huh?
Last night?
Wait, wait, wait.
Who at?
I'm going to say that Mab Squad did not look good against the Lakers team that didn't have
four of their starters.
But if my starting, if my starting, if my starting point guard, if my starting point guard
is 610, you're going to put your point guard on me.
If you put, if you're going to put the point guard on me, I don't need him dribbling.
We're just going to put him in the post, right?
Right? If you invert yours and put a bigger guy on him, I'm going to pick him.
I'm going to let him point because your guy is not used to.
That's why LeBron was great at the point guard position because they wasn't you.
Ron Artes picking him up full court, look dumb.
He had to wait for him at half court while he had a full steam ahead.
Right?
That why Ben Simmons looked great.
You got 610.
We ain't going to put them Steph Curry on him.
Draymond get him.
All right.
He looks great.
That's the offset.
Either because if you try to put a point guard on them, we're going to put him in the post
If you try to pick them up full court with your natural height, you're going to go full court on them.
And we're looking at simple basketball.
You think people are going to go, oh my God, guards guard of me, pass it, wait, let them switch.
Here I come.
Switch back.
Hey, yep, that's what it.
Switch, switch.
Nicky-knit-a-n-hore-shot.
It's a four on three.
I'm waiting for your booby-ass switch back.
It's a four on three.
literally it's four on three
it's the four on three
Cooper flag bringing it up
guard him until he passes the ball
when we get back to the half court
we're going to change
and you see what him
the ball up to be passing right
you throw it to me
so what I just explained to you right
your words was
guard him until he passes it right
he's the end ball to bound to me right
I'm trying to just pass it
it's still four on three
nigga it's still to man up here
yes it's like you
This is you inbound.
This is Cooper,
No, there ain't two defenders up here, my nigga.
So there's no, there's not worried about the screen.
No, no.
He's a dummy.
No.
That's what he said.
Now you know.
That's what I'm telling you.
That's what I got to do.
Bro, this is you're not listening.
Remember what you say.
You're going to run back.
You're not, you're not listening.
You said the other defender's going to run back.
Listen, there ain't no other defender.
We're back here.
We're dropped.
So it's going to be back here, right?
Yes.
So you're going to throw the ball into him.
He's going to screen.
He's going to set, yes.
He's going to have to do that all night.
He's going to have to do that all night.
We're going to have, because that's what they do.
What wouldn't he?
Okay, when you're a point guard, Brandon, to get the guy off of you.
When the endbound and bounder, inbounded to you.
I come from the free throw line.
And what happened?
No, when the endbounder, inbounded to you, and there was a guy in front of you.
To get that guy in front of you, did he not set a little screen for you to get off?
A little brush screen.
And then if he was still on you, he set another one to get him off you until you got past half court.
Then you set the offense up, right?
But the whole time there was never two guys up here.
It wasn't a full court press.
It was, I'm putting pressure on you to bring the ball up.
And this other guy that's inbounding the ball.
He needs to set a screen to get me off you because I put the pressure on.
The only way you press is the one if he's dribbling, yes or no.
How about this?
Before you answer, let's try this.
You in bowled the ball to me.
My God.
Right?
I hold the ball.
I see you.
Run right there.
Just run right there.
I'm holding.
I got 10 seconds, right?
Eight.
Eight.
Yeah.
Hey.
Go.
Get it to the goddamn guard and going to play handoff.
Now, I feel for, on,
and still for defenders,
yeah.
He's coming.
What is wrong with so?
He's crazy.
He's coming down to the ball now because no one's going in here.
And we're cool with that.
We're cool because he's a big game.
This is Gaffer to somebody.
We're cool.
P.J. Washington.
We're even cool.
He's ain't doing it.
You're missing the point.
They're on a fast break, though.
You're missing the point.
It's not a fast break.
I have Gafford dribbled in the ball, no pressure,
giving it to my point guard who has the mismatch on whoever.
Pick and roll, I, so there's nothing you can do now.
There's no mismatch.
You're giving it to Clay to go to work on somebody?
You're all, no, no, no.
Give it to PJ.
We said we invert when we get to have to win.
I'm trying to see.
We invert when we get to have to win.
How are you going to get back there?
It's four guys back.
They're not listening.
It's four defenders back, bro.
Okay.
No.
Okay.
His guy's already back.
He's already back.
He's already waiting.
He's already waiting.
Let's try it in.
Let's try it in.
Listen.
I'm protecting you.
We're protecting you.
And then when you try to guard him as a big,
we said, Brandon, stay high.
We got you.
Let's do it.
One at a time.
I'll take it out, right?
Brandon's guard him.
Listen, this is what's going to, listen, this is what I'm going to do.
I'm going to turn it face.
No, no, no, no, you're already gone, right?
So you guard me.
No, no, I'm no one's guarding you.
Nobody's guarding you.
Okay.
Nobody guard me.
Who?
Go, Gil.
I don't need that.
No, no, but this is what I'm going to do.
But I don't, I don't, I can do that?
Go, I don't.
I can do.
Brandon, follow him up.
Brandon, follow Gil.
His man.
Brandon, follow Gil.
My man, your man.
Your man, Kenyon.
Is that waiting to half a court?
That's like your man.
Your man.
You guard the other hand for.
I'm at a half cord.
You're waiting on you like this.
Come on.
This is my five men.
And don't matter.
And we can ever anybody of him.
Guard him.
Here.
You're a five.
You're guarding him.
Come on.
I have no idea.
No, I have no.
Person.
You end up.
Come on.
Come on.
You're waiting at half.
Come on.
You're waiting at a half.
You're the five.
Let's go.
Gentlemen, you're on a football field right now.
He's half court.
I'm half court.
I can't keep going back.
He can't go there.
But make it.
Do it.
All right, so let's do it.
So many of you, you throw it to you.
We're going to do it.
We're going to.
Now you want to.
I threw it in.
Throw it in.
You are you going to screen?
Or you're going to go down.
What you want to do?
What's going to do?
Where is his man?
No, his man is back.
His man is back.
I'm at the half court line.
His man is back.
So this, for Ships and Giggles, you at half court, Nick, right?
If I see you at half court, this is what I'm going to do.
This is one first plate.
Nick is talking.
Nick is talking to Randen's screen.
We let you.
On your left.
We let you set up.
You're playing the five.
You're playing the five.
No, there's your head.
No, there's no left for right in this situation.
Why is it not no left?
Why can't tell him left?
You can tell him, right?
Because I'm going to screen him, right?
Uh-huh.
And he's going to run at you.
Fast pace.
Listen.
I'm going to fool.
He's running out of fire.
I have a bad man sitting there like this.
It's like a box and one.
It's like a box and a one.
It's a four.
What I do?
And that guy coming out with a three, man.
All right, gentlemen.
Now the second one is,
but what is he going to do?
Now the second one is, all I have to do is turn in face.
He dips out.
I throw it to him.
Him and.
Now I do a dribble hand, though.
Now I'm giving a ball to you against a four or five or three.
I do a little head to go.
That's a variance for you.
Okay.
You don't need, you don't need to set a pick to get the switch.
You already got in that.
They already did it for you.
Now, we got them discombabba lady.
No.
They are not running what they planned on running.
That's why you don't see you.
They're not running what they planned on running.
But that's why you don't see.
That's why you can see Luca bringing the ball up because they're not going to put a small guy on him.
But Luca's a real point guard.
He's a Cooper flag is not.
Does the word?
Does the word guard Luca or do they guard Kyrie?
So he has one, a slow guy on him bringing the ball up.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Like he's running out of five men downhill downhill my good luck so good luck trying to stop him
Who is your fastest guy you got a bunch of four big ass four big you got five
dick motherfuckers ain't no fast think of running any ain't nobody
Hey how do you talking about he got b j gabber and fucking clay what fast thing is on the floor
d and fucking clay what fast name is going full speed tell me what fast dick is going full speed
No, no, no, no, no.
No.
Let's change the argument.
It's a fast-digger.
Who's a fast-dicker?
Let's change the argument.
Hold on.
Now the argument is who's fast now.
Now you want to move in.
No.
You got more.
Big motherfuckers.
Who's fast?
Let me stop.
Let me stop you all for a moment.
Let me stop.
Let me stop.
Who's the fast now?
Before we get to that, before we get to that, we ask the chat.
Is it obvious?
77% of the chat say yes.
Oh, God.
Damn.
I know this is we up there.
There's a reason that there's a reason that he's dunking on everybody.
I'm totally with the drop for.
Drop him.
There's a reason he's having fast break dunks and backdoor dunk because who's guard?
Nobody.
In front of bringing them up.
Backdoor dunk.
Game vizant.
But now we're just point guard.
That's to the point.
That's it.
He's not going to dribble it.
He's not going to dribble it.
He just, I know.
That's point blank period.
He turned as a point.
a small on him. He's not going to
dribble the ball up on this. He's going to
fuck the same. Boss and Celtics tried it
with LeBron where he was bringing
a ball up. They said, oh shit, put Ronda
on him. Right? Put Rondo on him.
Go to the past. Oh shit.
Kyrie.
Kyrie. Go at Paul Pierce.
They didn't wait for the office no more.
It's Clay P.J.
It's not
Larry.
It's not Lived.
It's Clay P.J.A.D.
It's not.
It's Clay.
And then the match for this, since you want to get up, so is Kyrie never playing basketball again?
And DiAngelo is not playing?
The only reason we're talking about this is because we're talking about this because Jayquins said he's going to put him at the program.
That's why the fuck we're talking about it.
All right.
Because Kyri is not planned.
We're going to experiment with people at the point.
Because Kylo was back in this game, way for Kyrie to come back.
Hey, I think when Kyrie come back, he's still going to play the way.
That's going to be even dangerous.
That's going to be more dangerous.
You know, we got to talk-
I want to not to play the point guard.
He wants to play the point.
All he's doing is just bringing the ball up the court to give it.
We know that happened.
We, any time he'd bring it up, go hit him.
Y'all sitting on the couch with us.
Jake, he'll coach that thing the way he wants to coach it.
So we got to talk about another situation.
A little deal-low.
We got to talk about another situation going on with Cooper Flag, very, very important.
So Flagg was put to the test recently and asked if he could name some NBA legend,
including one from this very show.
God damn.
Antswan, right?
Okay.
I didn't know who that was.
You stupid and shit.
Rashad McCants.
Shit.
I also don't know him.
He said, Rashad McCants, I also don't know him.
Cemetery Larry, what's your response to Duke alum, Cooper Flagg, saying he's unfamiliar with your game?
I see you in a Cooper Flagg jersey.
You know who he is.
Yeah.
I'm a fan.
I'm a fan.
Shit.
He ain't got to know me.
I know him.
And he better not miss no shots.
He better not turn that bitch over.
You know what I'm saying?
We're on next.
Oh, it's obvious.
all good. You know what I'm saying? It's cool. Everybody know me now. He's not to know me. He
let everybody know who I am. Do you have a body bag waiting for? Not yet. No, you can't mess with that
white man. Yeah, I'm not. No. That's American white man right there. You talk about that white man
your ass and be out of here. That's American white man. That's an American white man.
That's American white man. That's a man. Do I like vanilla or do I like vanilla? Do I like snow or do I like
No.
When have I not been about the Cooper flag?
I'm sorry you.
No, I ain't sorry.
God damn.
It's up, man.
He's a dude.
Fuck, dude.
That's no snow.
That's over in the Himalachian Mountains snow.
You don't know me.
That's pure.
I went to school.
He from Rhode Island.
I went to school.
That's Dakota, man.
It don't get no way.
It don't get no white.
It don't get no white.
They don't get no white in the back.
Where are you guys at?
They make loafers stuff.
Is it the I?
It's in the New England area.
New Hampshire, man.
I was up there with him.
I thought somebody in his family.
That is a pure,
It ain't been this area.
He better calm down for a figure some shit out.
Idea goes to Dell down here.
Huh?
Miller like, water light.
Miller light, mud like,
Taylor Swift.
Yeah.
Super Bowl.
All-American.
Man, that's halftime show.
No bad buddy.
They're taking him out for the half-time.
No bad buddy, no, no boyno.
No bad buddy, no.
You're in the ball for the halftime.
You're gone.
You bet.
I'm with it.
Yeah.
It's fucking is all good.
He's going to know me.
Okay.
He's going to know.
Hold on.
But the thing, hold on.
But listen, you are, you're diabolical, though,
for someone, and you got not just one jersey,
nigg.
You got two of you.
No.
I got more.
You came in Cooper Flag jersey yesterday, came in at Cooper Flagg, Road Jersey today.
That's crazy to me, like, don't know who he is.
You go out and buy money.
You spend money on this.
Yeah, I support.
I'm going to support.
Support his life.
He's going to know me.
He's going to know the show.
He's going to subscribe.
Man, fuck him.
Yeah.
That's why I'm like, fuck, heck.
You got to search you.
Hey, man.
Me, fuck him.
He's probably watching the Dallas game.
Coup, boys.
Let's go, coo!
Coo!
Go on line, like.
Oh, that shit.
That ain't that a lot of a bitch.
I don't know nothing about toll.
They don't know how you're told.
Let me go support.
She costs a lot of money too, goddamn.
You say, ain't she?
This is the authentic one.
Yeah, that's a good guy.
Did you see that motherfuckin' fat?
That's a Jordan.
He was in line.
He was in live.
No, I pushed the button on the line.
I pushed the button online.
That motherfucker came in three days.
It was, oh.
Expresship.
I need this ready for day two.
Day one, day two.
So day one came in the Caucasian super flag jersey.
Day two.
You shouldn't be offended.
You shouldn't.
I'm God.
He was born when you played.
He didn't know nobody.
He packed.
Nobody on that list.
He didn't know nobody.
Even the coaches.
No, he just said, because he knew him as coaches.
Yes.
He didn't know them.
That's crazy.
What's the funniest, one of the free agents that was this summer when we had a conversation, he didn't know who Vince Carter was.
He didn't know who Vince Carter was.
Man.
Nah, that's insane.
See, this is why, am I right?
Dead ass didn't know who did.
So, I said, what do you think about Vince?
He's like, who?
Vince Carter?
He was like, I was like, dunk contest, arm.
Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I don't think I've really seen him play.
Yeah, I was like, yeah.
So when I was with the buck,
so when I was with the bucks, though, right?
So when I was with the buck.
But Michael Jordan is his goat.
You don't know Vince Carter.
You look, I don't want to hear nothing.
These young niggas talk.
No, no, not him.
No, no, not him, not him.
So Jack Kidd made.
So I wonder if he gonna do Cupertrak, how he did them dudes in Milwaukee,
when Yonis and him was young, right?
Jake he was giving dudes tests.
Like, after shoot around and shit, they had a test.
That probably was one of them.
They had to sit down and take.
And it was about the history of the game, your teammates,
and he made the motherfucker, and they passed me, wasn't the motherfucker,
and I was like, I'd be goddamn if I feel this out.
The obvious shit.
Yeah, it was.
It was.
To me, it was.
It's if you watch the game and you've been around the game, you know, like, yeah, so they was giving them dudes tests after every shoot around.
They had to sit down, do their test before they leave, and if you did horribly, they'd call you out before the game.
You play 2K and NBA live in any of them shit.
You're supposed to know motherfuckers on the roster.
You're passing to the wrong.
They do.
You pass into the Lone and Bill Carr.
That's not bad, though.
First of all.
See what a student of the game.
Majority of us don't look like what we look like when we play.
Let's just be honest.
Right?
Let's just be honest, right?
Most of us won't know who Eric Snow is right now if we see it.
Why you keep...
Oh, shit.
Right?
You know, and there's just some guys out there.
We were like, oh, how are you doing?
You're unnecessary.
Now, I'm just saying, like, just being honest.
Did you say how y'all doing?
Hey, how y'all doing?
How y'all?
Who?
Who's in there?
Who in there?
Who in there?
There was a point...
That somebody says...
Any house got it down.
Eddie House got it down.
There was a point we didn't know who Eddie House was when he was doing.
Whoa.
It was like, is that house?
Not any house.
And then it came on Eddie Howl.
There's a few of them.
They all eat, you know what I mean?
They all eating at the same restaurant.
You know, they all eat at the restaurant.
You know, they all eat at the restaurant.
What's his name?
No more, please.
No more.
No more.
The niggas eating bloomin onions.
That's all eating bloomin onions.
That's all eating like this shit is.
I looked like.
I looked like I was too.
I'm calling a timeout to advance the ball.
Vance the ball.
We got to advance the ball.
We got to start the season when I was 2017.
We got two more things we got to talk about before we get on to the rest of our weekend.
You was 27?
Yeah.
See, I see other dudes that see this is my thing, right?
You was fat four months ago.
I was the most 250.
I never got two.
Special forces.
So you didn't look like you, if you don't use other people to gauge, like you see
dudes that came before you play with you and you see them and if that don't set off a
arms with you, because I've seen dudes
and we got done playing last 10 years, I'd be
damned. No, I'm not getting it far. I will
be damned
if I ever, listen, resemble
anything of a shell of myself.
No, no. So the thing is, you all
niggas don't see the thing. See, everybody, I play with you.
See, y'all not honest with y'all self because you
suppose, well, you don't use lotion and shit, so
you probably don't look in the mirror. You don't look
in the mirror when you, after you get out of the shower, you just
put your shit on. You drive and just get dressed.
Yeah, I don't need to get that. See, most people look in the mirror
at themselves when they get out of shower and shit,
They be in the mirror doing like they high-g shit you women got to draw off niggins just put your clothes on
Let me do all that people look at themselves in dry-off
Draws dry off
Most people look themselves in the mirror when they get out of the shower
So all you know all you're former players and athletes listen when you're in the mirror
When you look at yourself just do yourself this favor turn sideways
Yeah, yeah
See if you got this singing back
See it's in the back look at your phone back
And that's the little bit.
And that's the little bit.
You got it.
You got it.
You got all this.
You're looking like your back on.
Or you look down, motherfucker.
You can't have my ass.
You ain't seen your man.
Like four years.
Oh, man.
I didn't happen.
So, do it.
I'm like everybody.
I'm still like you, man.
Hoggiss all still like a good.
You got Joe Johnson, Richard Jefferson.
Everybody, I'm like, ooh.
All right.
Shit, even Z.
Everybody's still in shape, too.
Shout out to Zbo.
I was looking at too, saying it.
I was like, you better.
Michelle, let's talk about something
that you brought up on the show yesterday.
You said you had more faith in the Hornets
this season than the Bucks.
Last night, La Mello Ball came through
with one of the best plays of the preseason.
Let's take a look if we can.
Mello got the ball, proceeded to nutmeg,
Jack Longdale, throw the lefty lob.
Brandon Miller.
Brandon Miller, who is not hurt.
who was not...
Who I gave an undisclosed, unnecessary injury yesterday.
But he was hurt both of the last season.
But I gave him a real injury.
I'd say the man had someone with his ACL, my bad.
Yeah, it was not.
It was not. Just his wrist gap.
Cool, my bad.
Yeah.
Yeah, B. Miller.
Look, this has the potential to be a very dynamic backcourt if they can stay healthy.
So the Mello's past three seasons, he's been marred by injuries played a total of 105 of a possible 246 games.
But average 24, 8, and 6 rebounds in that time.
Brandon Miller coming off a season where he was,
averageed 21 points per game for undergoing surgery on his right wrist.
He was at 21?
But he only played 27 games for that total season.
So Hornets...
Should be his good year.
So Hornets have the league's longest playoff drought at nine seasons.
Ten.
Not nine going into this season.
No.
Ten.
It gives you.
The season has yet to be played.
This East Conference is very weak, very weak.
The East is open.
Are the Hornets a playoff team if the L.O. Ball and Brandon Miller can stay healthy.
No, it didn't seem to it.
Yeah, they got a lot of faith in the Horn.
I'm looking at that crew right there.
Well, and this ain't made it not hard to sit at the playoff team.
I try to talk who I think they get.
If they stay healthy.
They're better than the bucks.
It's not hard to be a playoff team when they give you 10 chances to motherfucking do it.
Especially in the Eastern Conference.
And overall, you get 10 slots.
But you get about 34 wins and you are in the mix.
27 will get you in the East.
Facts.
So, yeah, it ain't hard to give you 10 teams, man.
So you can be dog shit and still.
have a chance so to say that is not to say much all you got to win one of them all you got
a 10 seed and you got a chance right so therefore i'm not yeah so if they're in the top 10
that's what y'all going with yeah but i'm sure they hope they're 10 out of the world it's 12 right
we're familiar with hopes occurred with 12 teams right there's 16 teams uh 50 that made 17 teams
16 teams in the hole in there's no way it's 6 to yeah so it was Washington i thought it was 8 to
You know what I mean?
Washington, BIM!
But didn't have the mellow ball from almost half the season.
Didn't have Brandon Miller for him.
Didn't have bridges either.
Yeah, I mean, they can make it.
They're a three dynamic player at 10?
Yeah, I mean, the playoffs.
In the Easter conference.
The top.
Yeah, in the east.
They got to be better than Philly who didn't make it.
Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto.
You can try to make it.
Yeah.
They didn't.
Yeah.
They'll be fighting.
Better than Toronto.
I mean, I don't know.
Were you about to say, are they better?
The only team they was better than was Washington.
They're not better in Toronto.
So they were better than Washington with...
So you're telling me they wasn't better than Brooklyn, but my man can't get paid.
See, that's what I'm saying.
They pay mellow, they pray Bridges, Miller, all the motherfuckers.
Two pick, number two pick, number two pick.
Did you see that?
You did the left hand with the left hand off?
I didn't put the nigga shoot over five people and make it?
Yeah.
Just saying.
Okay.
There's a talent.
That's some exciting wife joining the fray.
They mean he might want to just wonder why he ain't getting paid.
That man can miss do the luck, big, do that, miss 27 games, miss 407 games, missed 50 games,
and they're like, $2,250.
That's because it is.
You played all 82, huh?
Good boy.
Miles Gris.
Keep up the good work.
Miles Griggins played 64 games last season.
He reached straight seasons, 20 plus.
20 plus.
All he kept was, yeah, man.
You're good.
Hey, hey, we'll see you back.
Hey, we'll see you back next.
They'll see you back.
Go out.
They'll see you back.
They'll go out.
They'll take that free agency market, but we'll see you back.
Just need a name tag.
They let the game open.
They let the dog again.
Go ahead.
Come back.
Go ahead.
They didn't give a nigga no rough green.
Standing with his hair poked out of that bar.
They ain't even get their rough green.
Stand with the hair poked out the gate.
Just a little.
No, he's going to be back.
He ain't going to know, huh?
He ain't going to go get here.
Bashar, you think this Hornet squad-food over here, food over here.
I'm not saying playing.
I'm saying playoff team.
They'll finish top eight in Adam Silver's Eastern Conference.
No, they'll finish in the top eight.
No, the playing shit don't matter.
But what I'm saying is there will be the eighth seed or better.
No.
It might be better than Philly.
Making the actual playoffs, not the playing.
If they stay healthy, they can definitely make eight.
Okay.
Well, that's not better than the bucks.
That's your dumbness.
Because the buck's finishing top five.
All right, we got one more thing.
We got to talk.
We're running out of time.
This is our last show of the week, but we got to pack it all.
They'll be running out of time.
Yeah.
Because y'all always got shit to do it.
I ain't got nowhere to go, dude.
I got a little league game at 4.30.
Usually we can get up on a Thursday.
Now we're staying put.
And y'all ain't going to leave either.
You've got nowhere else to go.
We need y'all chat.
But Zion Williamson,
inner training camp looking slim and had this to say about getting his body
right and ready for this season.
We came up with a plan
from boxing to working out
on the football field a lot
to just different random workouts
and during that time frame last year
I really felt a shift in my body
to where I would look at him and go
dude it feels good to feel good
I haven't dealt like this since college, high school
just where I can walk in the gym
And I'm like, it just, I feel good.
It does feel good to feel good, ladies and gentlemen.
Hard work appears to be paying off as Williamson has appeared in three preseason games so far,
including the Pell's game against the Rockas his past Tuesday, where he did this.
A little vintage, Zion, if you will.
So after getting a steal, Zion came through with one of his patented 360 dunks.
Ooh, finished the game with 13 points, four steals and 23 minutes of action.
Right on, let's take me toes.
And we're watching this.
Why?
Because, King, it's preseason.
It's slim out here.
We got bills to pay.
No, I'm saying.
Y'all making a big deal about his win here.
He was doing this shit when he was motherfucking 300.
But he's bad.
And it looked more impressive when he was bigger, so.
It feels good to feel good.
Like, that's good.
People making a big deal about his weight and all this.
So we want to talk about Zan, preseason, three games, all it.
Look good, lost the weight, this stuff.
What happens if you come out hurt his hamstring again?
I hope he don't, but what happens?
No, I'm saying, but what happened?
No, we're having real conversations here.
real conversations here because it's been
all lower extremities, blow it, leg
but just hypothetical. I hope
nothing. I want to play all 82, make the playoffs
fucking make all NBA team like
we know he is. All of those things
I'm wishing and talking
into existence foreign. Devil's
advocate here by
chance.
The King says wait. So then what?
What happened to do we play all 80?
82. Yeah, I want him to.
But my thing is so
then you stretch and wave him a little
I think most of his injury came because he was carrying a lot of weight and that power is pulling.
Right?
You know what I mean?
Like, you jump, right?
And you can't control how fast you decide to get up.
Now, if you got an extra 50 pounds on you and you try to explode, you know, you're going to pull some things.
So I think most of his stuff is he was holding extra weight on during those takeoffs.
So, but sometimes I'm not saying NFL players are as athletic as I.
Yeah, but I've seen big dudes move before in a certain way, quick twitch moving.
I would say they are at that, but it's just the, this shit here, the quick, them dudes
are just as they have to be, because they're playing in four seconds, five second gaps.
They have to be explored.
Everyone in 40-yard dashes, them big diggers out there running four nines, and they're 310,
350, like, I've seen it.
So I'm glad he found what, I'm glad he found what works for him.
But, like, personally, I just.
I thought it was bad
I just think
I thought it was fucking bad luck
That's all I thought
You didn't think the way
Was the issue with that
I did I said it before
I said he needs to turn like a football player
Because he has that body
You're training
You're training with these rubber bands
With all that muscle doing this stuff right here
Their muscles ain't gonna be ready to fire like that
I dig you're gonna have to put some weight on that
I dig it
So again so and I that's what he did
I did boxing he did football stuff
Understanding and train like a football flip
I dig it
So came to your point
dealing with the injuries and the bad luck
Zion's played in 214 games his career, missed 258,
due to any during the entire, including the entire 21, 22 season.
Like 30 or fewer games and four of a six season in the league so far,
including last season.
But when he did play last season, he looked good.
25, 7 rebounds, 5 assists.
He always does.
257, damn.
And five assists.
Always does, though.
52% from the field.
Just turned 25.
Same shit about him as they do with Qua.
Right?
When he out there, shit.
Hey, just getting that.
Right there.
Y'all got to understand what it means to trim down, man.
What I do?
Y'all don't know what it's like to trim down, man.
How many, how many games did he miss?
So he only played 30 games, so he missed 52 games.
No, no, no, that's two years.
Two hundred fifty.
He was supposed to be dressed.
You can't compare, you can't compare Zion to Cam Thomas.
Five your hundred ninety seven main dollar extension.
He's you.
Back in 2020.
What I'm saying is, he made him.
Like what I'm saying is he missed half his career.
Mello did too.
He got mad.
Jod did too.
But what is his numbers?
25, 7, and 5.000.
Now, let me say anything.
You see them numbers, do you see that, that the two numbers look better?
It's like the, it ain't the 20-0, it's the other two numbers that look good.
The five and seven.
But question for the couch, should Pelican self-faith designed to be their franchise cornerstone?
Movie forward, can you?
Don't see why not.
Who else they're going to, who else is going to be?
Oh, yes.
Yeah, of course.
Yeah, that's nice, okay.
Now that he's done with,
He was supposed to do
Get rid of a lot of them holes
That's a lot of hole energy
Was he got off of him
He had a bad work energy
It's all in here
It's all in the neck
That's Ling Ling, that's Ling with the rubbing tug
You gotta learn how to adjust
Look at the neck
It's different, you gotta do some different shit
And he's been doing it
Staying off the carbs
He's off the carbs
He's no sugar
No bread
It's a really simple diet
Man, it's really
Get out of them streets
Stop watching that porn
He's good
he good
get them urges out of him
get the demons out of there
gotta get the urges
in the voodoo town
he gotta get that shit out of him
now he's good
he looked good
he on his tiptoes again
he's been on his tiptoes
he was in college
he's like yeah
I'm ready
I'm telling you
he's good
you ain't sitting here
he got the whole shit
this shit duck man
he looked like the whole
painted on figure bro
he's saying he went back
to skin clean
he didn't that bitch
he did look like AI in that
You got to college days, huh?
Where was he at?
Them college girls were treating him right.
Man, he came to the league.
He came to the league, got the North Carolina got to the hood rack.
And in the Orleans started to get stressed.
Man, put that little boo, boo, boo on it.
Walk around big, big Frida.
Man, mac and cheese and shit.
All that shit.
And they're tall-board-blood,
oh, man.
Flams, deniers, shit, he's standing, Cafe Dumas,
and shit.
Gumbo, everything.
Gump.
Bupa Gump, I just will say it is good to see Zion smiling when Zion happy Zion actually on the court.
I don't know about that goal team last year.
I've suffered a ton of injury.
I don't know about that gold tea, though.
That's the only thing I don't know about it.
It's too small for his head.
It's like small and his head big.
I'm like.
Lost too much weight.
Yeah.
You look like a little-ass kid with a big-ass head.
You don't like that gold tea, but you like the lips you had in that, that force show.
I didn't make my lips like that.
It's hot as fuck out there.
I couldn't breathe, bitch.
Yeah, I don't know.
You all didn't see that?
Can we put, no, no, no.
No, you don't put that.
Can we put the video?
I don't know if they're telling you to do.
Don't you put that shit up.
Yeah, yeah.
You got to see it.
Nick, I was this.
He was in the middle of heat.
It was done.
Crack head lips.
It was hot to the motherfucker.
No air.
Listen, next way is that, can we please about that?
It's why you look at your little?
Dry and a motherfucker up there.
Everybody looks like that, though.
He was really Dwight around the back.
You were Dwight around you.
He was really Dwight.
I was all, man, they ain't do big like that.
Life all night.
That's crazy.
And on bad note.
Y.

Yeah, 48.
Four for 45?
Yeah, it's a shooter.
Four for 45?
Yes, sir.
You can shoot that.

For game last year
I just guess
I just guess and I was right
Seven.
A bitch, I have a seven.
He's still mad about a follow dog.
On that note, let's move on to
mostly fair.
He's every seven.
He's a average seven.
I haven't been my way.

It's aggressive whoop-woo.
Okay.
Chihuahua with a pit bull, but we have one question from underdog user Skull Bowl.
Who is a rookie that should be on our radar but isn't?
Ricky that should be on our radar but isn't heading into the season.
We got to draft it.
Shoot.
All I'm going to be talking about is Ace Baby.
I'm going to be honest.
Shout out of Ace Bay dealing with some issues right now.
Tender night.
Pelicans big.
Hey, so the Derrick Queen from a...
Oh, Queen?
I like Queen.
I like Queen.
Like, he's like that black.
They did make some interesting moves so far.

Zero fears.
But, I mean, we know they, they know.
Harper?
Yeah.
Young Hanson.

Oh, I know.

No, he ain't, he ain't no rookie.
What's that?

Yeah, I'm gonna say Ace Bailey, too.
Ace Bailey.
I'm gonna say, uh, Vijay, what's the name?
Oh, I believe these rookies are on the radar.
Yeah, these are on the radar.
Lottery picks.
Lottery picks like a motherfucker.
They got a name and all lotter.
Furfee, though, Furfrey not?
Furby not, but everybody.
I'm going to say Cooper flag.
Cooper flag.
You're not on the radar.
I'm going to go over Cooper flag, this shit.
I'm saying, yeah, it's not on the radar currently.
It's valid.
I like Furfie.
Furfrey out there really yam and don't do it.
Young Hanson, I think, might have an interesting season with the Blazers.
Yeah, yeah.
I like, what we'll call it?
No, for Igor.
What's the name?
Igor or something like that?
From BYU, you play for the Brooklyn.
Hold on.
All overseas.
Hold on.
Igor.
Igor, Agor.
So as you know, it's free season for me too.
We're not even going to try to guess because we already know you messed the name up.
And they're paying for Brooklyn so nobody's going to where.
Igor, right?
Igor, Demi.
Okay.
Fix the 11-point card.
Lottery pick.
It's nine.
Take your lottery pick.
Oh, you're a lot of pick.
You're right?
You're right.
You're right.
We didn't think about them.
Of course, I'm going to hear a lottery pick.
Did not think about it.
Y'all didn't know he was in the league.
No, we didn't watch them.
We didn't.
I got on.
I didn't know.
Give me so.
Give me something.
That's a joke.
Don't get it.
Man.
That's like it.
Nah.
He gave you shit.
He gave you a goddamn thing.
Right.
He didn't know who he was.
So, but they're going to be very under the radar.
So they're going to be very under the radar.
Him and Cam are going to be out of their mug.
I said, never said Brooklyn.
I forgot.
Well, that brings the close to our final show of the week.
Good to be back.
to be back, launching season four,
pre-shirted as always an underdog.
Make sure you download that
his promo co-gill.
Furfee, not a rookie?
Not a rookie, I don't think.
That's what I was thinking.
He's not a rookie.
That was the first time I heard
is when he dunked on the Frenchman.
But I think he had played last year.
To America.
The Summer League.
Hold on.
You know, speaking of that G-League.
Just pretend like he a rookie.
What the fuck?
Did you all see that shit, this kid
played in G-League for two years
and went back to college?
Yeah.
You can go back.
God is good, Katie?
Oh, yeah.
You can do that now.
Yeah, I know.
That's crazy, yeah
Furby did play 50 games for the page of the page of us
That's crazy
Because the NIL offset being a pro
That's crazy
That's crazy
What wait, do we
Wait, wait, let me ask a question
You can go be a pro for two years and go back
Do we still have eligibility technically?
No, you sign with agent
No ex post factor
I don't know
They signed with an agent
Because he didn't sign with an agent
NIL agent
He reserved his amateur status
That's because he didn't sign with an agent.
Damn.
But most of them, don't they have agents?
Yeah.
No, it's not that kind of...
It's the collective.
It's not that kind of an agent.
It's different.
Yeah.
You can represent me from NIL, but you know...
I mean, it's not representing me to become a professional
that you represent me in NIL.
Field.
For my name, image, and like...
Yes, not for that.
Well, appreciate you, gentlemen.
It was great to have you back on the couch.
Appreciate everybody.
in the chat, especially all the talkies members.
Wait, so somebody who went straight out of high school?
Oh, never mind.
I sound like Nick.
My bad.
He signed with an agent.
What you mean?
He's not like me.
No, no, no.
Not that.
Not that.
You know we know you dumb.
And on that note, this has been another episode
of Gills Arena presented by Underdog.
We will see y'all next week.
I grew out of it.
I grew out of it.
I grew out of it.
