Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi there, I'm Ryan Reynolds, and I have a list of things I like to have on set. It's just little things, like two freshly cracked eggs, scrambled, with crispy hash brown, sausage crumble, and creamy chipotle sauce from Tim Hortons. From my rider to Tim's menu, try my new Scrambled Eggs Loaded Breakfast Box. Podcasts are great because they help us make the most out of our routine. We learn about the fall of the Ottoman Empire while we drive, keep up with news while we take the dog for a walk, or turn folding laundry into a comedy show.

Starting point is 00:01:43 Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil Welcome back to Gil's Arena presented by Underdog Fantasy. What up, bro? It's Tuesday. We back.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Titty Tuesday. Pause. Hold up. This is what the chat said, HR, if we have an HR. They said, leave it open. I don't know what that means. Leave the shirt open? Yeah, you know, 100 men, 200 men said leave it open.
Starting point is 00:02:17 We trying to get to 10K. We will do whatever's necessary. 10K, I take the whole shirt off and we, no, I'm just playing. Is that again? No. I'm just joking. It's the chat, not me, it's what the whole shirt off. Is that it again? I'm just joking. It's the chat, not me. It's what the chat's saying. I'm joking.
Starting point is 00:02:30 I'm joking. I'll leave it cracked. We'll leave it cracked. This is why we're the realest show on YouTube. Turn up. Back with the living legend Gilbert Arenas. We got Brandon Jennings. Freedom as always. whoop whoop.
Starting point is 00:02:45 And we got Mikko Grimes back in the arena. We got tons of stuff to talk about today. He stole game two, but will they steal the series? I know, I need the limp brush, Gil. Serious team. I know, I need the limp brush. I tried the limp brush and I missed a spot. Like I said, he stole home court,
Starting point is 00:03:04 but will they steal the series? Don't answer yet, Gil, but you said they was going to get swept. Will Team USA be a dream team or a nightmare? And soon-to-be free agent Kyrie Irving is reportedly trying to recruit LeBron to the Mavs, but he ain't going to have a contract with the Mavs yet. But before we get into all that, the show's brought to you by Underdog Fantasy. Make sure you go ahead and download the app if you have not already.
Starting point is 00:03:28 We've been seeing a lot of y'all show. Y'all support us and we appreciate you. Use promo code Gills Arena. You see it on the screen and they will match your first deposit up to $100. Underdog. They did. What I'm saying is the math ain't mathin' right right now.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Right? So if I win four out of five, how much do I get? Are you insured or you brought it up? Yes, insured. Yeah, how does that go? I don't know. See? How much are you bettin'?
Starting point is 00:03:55 I bet like 100 for 2,000. Yeah, but the best choice is to get. We don't bet. We just put 100 on the pick up. I'll throw 100. That's the question I had too. And then it says when. And then I think it goes.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Thousand. You got four out of five though. Then I get four out of five. It'd be like $62. How much do you expect to win and you got one wrong? Insurance, what's the insurance for? But you got a raw duck. Yeah, what is the insurance for?
Starting point is 00:04:16 Insurance basically, if you do a pick up with three, four, five, you get two out of three or four out of five, whatever, you still get some bread back. I didn't get any bread back. Cause you missed two probably. You just said you missed two. One, whatever, you still get some bread back. I didn't get any bread back. Cause you missed two, probably. You just said if you missed two. One.
Starting point is 00:04:28 No, you can miss up to one. Only, oh. Yeah, so if you get four out of five and you bet 100, I think you get 500. No. No. If you miss one and you got insurance, right? If you bet 100 and it's what, 2,000 or 1,000?
Starting point is 00:04:41 Yeah, you'll be like happy. I think it'd be 150. 150. Not $150. Yeah. You won something, though, girl. That's the most important thing. I'd be doing all these picks, man.
Starting point is 00:04:51 It'd be $52, $62. It'd be so embarrassing. I can't show the actual number. So I got to, like, angle it. I got to angle it. So it shows I won four out of five, but I don't want people like, yeah, you did all that for 47 cents.
Starting point is 00:05:07 But you winning is the most important thing. You see all my winners over there. I see them in the chat. $52, $62. Wait, you guys can see each other's winnings? No, we post it. You don't win, so you don't post. First of all, don't do that because I only played once.
Starting point is 00:05:20 I'm only lost once. Don't say I don't win. That's like implying that I've played a shit ton of times and I just So far you're 0-1 that's not winning get in the game where we need Rashad's picks Rashad not here today I know if he was he'd have a lot to say about the heat tying series 1-1 that confidence coffee Lord Man he be like he be he be picking baseball he be picking I can't wait Yeah, can you put college too? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:45 I can't wait to college. And remember, everybody in the chat, we see y'all pulling up. We do our Mostly Fans segment at the end of the show. Go ahead and drop your question in the chat. You can spam us, ask that thing a thousand times. Let's trick this algorithm, keep running these numbers up. We will feature the best questions at the end of the show.
Starting point is 00:06:00 But if you wanna get your questions boosted up to the top, go ahead and hit that subscribe button. You can throw a like on here too too, if you feel so inclined, and we'll get that going. And as a reminder for everybody who can't watch the show live, we got audio versions on Spotify every single episode. Help us run the numbers up on Spotify so we can get it back there. I know them payouts are a little janky on Spotify,
Starting point is 00:06:19 according to all the music artists that we talk to. But nonetheless, and last but not least, we got a special programming note. Tomorrow, Wednesday, for game three of the finals, we will not be doing our regularly scheduled show. We will have a watch party. Party will start at 7 p.m. Pacific, 10 p.m. Eastern, somewhere around the third quarter.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Tune in with us. Lock in with us. We're going to go all the way through. We're going to do a nice post-game show. I'll be here for most of it, Gilbez. You know I have other obligations I got to get to, other bags to get to. But I'm gonna stay with y'all as long as I can.
Starting point is 00:06:47 I'm gonna really like y'all forever. First of all, you're the one who's having us change it to Wednesday. I had the things I needed to take care of. Now you got some things to take care of after the show, too. I'm a man of many talents. So you say you got a curfew.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Just tell us you got a curfew. You got a curfew? My boot trip is here. Too many days. Too many days in Gil's Arena. You was really at Gil's Arena? Yes. I was here at work. Where else am I going to be?
Starting point is 00:07:11 Look, I'm a big, fat black man. Where else can I move? Big, fat black man. Everybody sees how I move. All right, but let's get into this show. First things first, we got to talk a little bit about, quote, unquote, Team USA. So, USA Basketball Executive Director Grant Hill and Coach Steve Kerr are assembling Team USA's 12-man roster for the FIBA Basketball World Championships in the
Starting point is 00:07:30 Philippines later this summer. So, so far they got Anthony Edwards, Austin Reeves, Kel Bridges, Tyrese Halliburton, Bobby Portis, and Jalen Brunson have all reportedly committed. Monday it was also reported that Jaron Jackson Jr. and Brandon Ingram will also join the team with four remaining roster spots that need to be filled. Oh, look at that, we got nice ass graphics and everything. We're small, we small. Hell, Bridges. Wait, wait, wait, wait, this is for,
Starting point is 00:07:55 wait, what's this for? Team USA. FIBA World Championships in the Philippines. Oh, FIBA, okay, this ain't, I'm about to say, they ain't making these things. This is not the Olympic team. I'm about to say, whoa, we about to get our ass whooped. So I gotta ask, looking at that roster,
Starting point is 00:08:06 is Team USA cooking with this roster or is Team USA cooked? Cooking with this roster for FIBA? But it's not a complete roster. This is fine for FIBA. I mean. There's no forwards. But nobody on that list should be on the real team. No, I mean, the only person who will probably make the real team here
Starting point is 00:08:24 will probably be Anthony Edwards Other than that, this is a feeble. This is a feeble team Jaron Jackson jr. Defensive player of the year Jalen Brunson the legend Make the feet the world the wood one Austin Reeves next year year's team? The 2024 team? 2024, I'm sure. No, fuck no. There's only Anthony Edwards to make that team.
Starting point is 00:08:48 This whole crew, only Anthony Edwards to make that team. And that's maybe. Austin Reeves, Mr. Dependable. For the US Olympic team to go represent us for the gold? Captain America, Caucasian man on the team. First of all, let's not act like it's a bunch of our stars don't even want to play. No star plays in the FIBA game. No, but I'm saying the Olympics, there's a lot of players that don't even want to play. No star plays in the FIBA game. No, but I'm saying the Olympics,
Starting point is 00:09:07 like there's a lot of players that don't even want to play. Not in the Olympics, no, for sure. The Olympics. No, for sure the Olympics. Because the Olympics is in Paris, right? Yeah, they going to Paris. Yeah, they going to Paris. Niggas is going to Paris.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Niggas is going to Paris. Niggas in Paris. Niggas is going to Paris. Yeah, for sure, they going to Paris. Fashion week and fashion week is right after that. Oh, see, y'all know all that. Are they going to Hooper or are they going to fashion? I'm going for fashion.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Wait, when is it? Wait a minute. The Olympics is next summer. FIBA is the one you have to qualify for the Olympics. So the, the, the, the, the, these are the up and coming guys. So like, Morant will be for the next one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:48 And he got to be on this one. So we got the 2019 FIBA squad. I can just read that list real quick for you guys, just for the sake of comparison. Derek White, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Harris, Marcus Smart, Harrison Barnes, Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, Mason Plumlee, Miles Turner, Brooke Lopez, Chris Middleton, and Kemba Walker.
Starting point is 00:10:04 I'll be honest, I'm sorry, you stopped me. Was there any NBA players on that team? Yes, there was. You heard of Donovan Mitchell. Stop. Oh, okay, yeah. I told you, once you start hearing the... I heard Derek White and then...
Starting point is 00:10:15 You blacked out? I just checked the... You should have started with Donovan Mitchell. As soon as you said Derek White, I was like, oh shit. I was reading them in number order. I'm sorry. Based on jersey number. So we talked a little bit about stars.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Brandon, you think guys are going to show up for Paris 2024. But what's it going to take to keep NBA stars wanting to play for Team USA? I mean. Maybe if we get disrespected. Maybe that's what it takes. Like us getting dogged out, embarrassed, and people having some sense of pride in it and wanting to reclaim
Starting point is 00:10:48 our spot at the top. It's basically like 04 and 06. I think we can, though. The Europeans are better. Their teams are better. A lot of these teams are better. They played good basketball. They played for years together. If you take the politics out of
Starting point is 00:11:03 USA basketball, then the stars will play. Yeah. Okay. See, it's so political, right? Whatever shoe company is the guy, right? Nike. Nike is going to only want Nike players. This is corny.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Right? They're not going to want to see. They're not going to want to see, they're not going to want to promote Steph Curry's shoe because the shoe kids got to wear their shoes. They're not going to promote the Pumas. Why? LaMelo Ball is not on there, right? So you're not going to promote other shoe companies.
Starting point is 00:11:37 So it becomes one of those things where, you know, Puma's not going to want to, they're not going to be interested, you know, so LaMelo's not going to want to to be even though he wants to put on a team right? Steph Curry's like I felt that way after my rookie year Yeah, too when I had a great rookie year like I felt like I wasn't getting invited cuz I was with another yep That's it. That is the reason and because you like like, you know in that type of situation, you know You're around everybody. So it's like I was I was Adidas. So I was getting screwed over because of the Adidas. Yeah And then with Dwight Howard,
Starting point is 00:12:06 that was a big old controversy with Dwight Howard. When Dwight Howard was on the team, right? He was the only other Adidas guy. You see, what's the name, putting his foot in front of Dwight's house, so you can see there were Adidas. It's wild. It was Coach K, Coach K was putting his shoe,
Starting point is 00:12:22 they were covering up his shoe. But that's why we're losing though. The only reason why Dwight Howard even probably got picked, because he was the best bit. He was the best almost best player. That's why these teams are better than us. They don't give a shit about that. I know.
Starting point is 00:12:33 They hooping. They're practicing four years in a row together. This is their goal. This is what they're trying to do. Us, we have our own lives. We got our own shit. And it's like, oh, do I want to play for this country? It's my summer. It's my time off. for this country? Yeah, it's my summer.
Starting point is 00:12:45 It's my time off. It's this and that. Rob Markman That's so crazy. That's how AAU is too. Like whatever shoe program you with, it's like, well, we don't want to go play at Nike or Nike players can't come play. So you don't really get to play against the best competition a lot in high school anymore because everybody's so addicted to the shoes.
Starting point is 00:12:59 And it's like- Rob Markman It shouldn't even matter because let's say Nike or Adidas, you guys have the best games. The fact that you're not letting the kids that are Nike kids come in or Adidas kids go in, you're messing, you're literally messing up your shit too. Like if you were Adidas team and there's a Nike tournament Let's go play a tournament go play what when they're trying to go play When they're but if you go if you were a deep you go there you whoop Everyone's ass it kind of kind of changes shit or Nike comes to your and whoop your team
Starting point is 00:13:40 But the fact that you guys stay away from each other just makes the... So good to play devil's advocate. When we were coming up, it wasn't really everybody all playing the same tournament. You get the Nike squads, you get the squads, Reeboks, whoever was coming through. But now looking back on it, do you think there was a bunch of shady shit going on behind the scenes? Because if I'm an AAU ref, I'm getting what, $70 to ref that game. The Nike team comes through, all right, here, you can go to the warehouse, get whatever you want.
Starting point is 00:14:03 We just need that whistle. We just need that whistle. He changed the game. Yeah, he changed it. The Nike team comes through all right here. You can go to the warehouse get whatever you want, but it It doesn't matter at that point because in those tournaments we got to see all of the talent Yeah, we got to see the DC assaults of Carlos boozers and yeah, he goes all these teams That's make that mixed in plan, right? That's where you get to really test your talent. There's kids that would never see, like there's kids in high school in Zion's class that never got to play against him, right? Until you get into the NBA. I'm like, oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Right? Like you think you're number one. You think you're better than him and you don't really get to test your skill because you were the Adidas there with Nike. Right? Like some kids, some kids, they got to go on a Nike team just so they can get invited to the USA basketball. Right?
Starting point is 00:14:52 Oh, damn. You know, I want to make the McDonald's. I got to play the Adidas so I can get invited to McDonald's. Right? There's just, it's just, it's so, it's so dumb. Yeah. Even like the Drew League, obviously switching from Nike to Adidas, LeBron pulled up. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:15:08 We got to cover that logo up. That was ghetto. Because even my AAU days, I remember AAU was Sonny Vaccaro, he had the big time tournament, right? And he had his tournaments, and I remember we was Reebok, but we would still go to Bob Givens, we would go to Houston, all these Nikes, and beat everybody. I remember Derrick Rose and Eric Gordon, they came to the Reebok tournament big time, and they played.
Starting point is 00:15:31 So that was rare. But a lot of these teams, we never played against the Pumps. David Pump and them, they was running from us. They had Drew Holiday. They had James Harden. They was running from us, and we was trying to get in tournaments with them. But they would always lose or be ducking us or holding up the bracket. They dodged the fate?
Starting point is 00:15:48 Huh? They dodged the fate? Yeah, for sure. David Plumper and them, they dodged us. They dodged the SAA. I don't, man listen, if I think I have the best team in the country and I'm about to play against you, I need you to, I need to see. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:01 That's what I love about swimming. I can't keep saying I'm the best, but then there's a force out there that looks better to me. If you're gonna beat me, beat me so I can see what I need to add. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Right, I need to.
Starting point is 00:16:14 But you know dudes not moving like that nowadays. They were ducking all smoke. That's why I love Bob Gibbons' tournament. Couldn't duck, it didn't matter what, no shoe program, Bob Gibbons just put on the best tournament. Can't duck, there's no, I mean. See, even Vegas back in the day, that's where everybody collided.
Starting point is 00:16:26 You came through, you got to see who was who, what was what. Easter classic. They should've just had one big tournament. I was cool. Like AAU back in the day, 13, 12 and under. Remember that? Like you go to AAU tournaments that age,
Starting point is 00:16:37 you just play against everybody. Cocoa Beach, Utah. I'm seeing kids, right? And this is no disrespect to the youth. When you say that say something like that, you're usually about to be disrespectful, but go ahead. Facts, you're right. Like I see kids who are varsity players
Starting point is 00:16:56 playing the national schedule, which means you're playing against 17, 18, even 19-year-olds in high school, dominating, and then when AAU comes come you're playing 16 you For fucking yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Why yeah to win so you can win Win some trophy that no one really gives a fuck about yeah, they do they do no one cares. They do somebody knows No one people like to who has the most AAU trophies? I don't know. Who does? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:26 But think about this. Think about this. Think about this. Imagine, I'm obviously not, we're not in this group of people, but imagine if you have a kid that's playing AAU and you don't know, you don't really know what the best program is, but if a program comes to you and they're like, we got all these trophies. Of course you're going to want to put your kid in there, right? Unsuspecting parents, like people that don't know anything.
Starting point is 00:17:49 But it's a money grab for the group, not the player. The player themselves, you are playing 17U your whole high school, and then you jump to play 16U so you can dominate. Your 30 and 30 does not impress anyone. It gives you false hope. It's false hope. It's true.
Starting point is 00:18:05 But a lot of people don't know that. So you're saying like a kid that's a freshman, right? And he's playing varsity. And then AAU. Varsity. Yeah, varsity. Starting. Starting varsity, averaging 30, and then go back and play 15U.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Yeah, no. Yeah. Yeah, no. Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy. That's crazy. Yeah, that's crazy. 15U.
Starting point is 00:18:21 This is the worst part. This is the worst part. You're already 17, but you're a hold back. And then you come back and play 16 years because of the grade. Yeah. There's no such thing as, listen, there's no such thing as getting exposed.
Starting point is 00:18:38 No, you're just learning. It's learning. Yeah. Right? I agree. It's learning. It's never, there's no such thing. When I played against, you know, let's say Kenny, Bruno, or Baron Davis, It's learning. Yeah. Right? I agree. It's learning.
Starting point is 00:18:45 It's never... There's no such thing... When I played against Kenny, Bruno, or Baron Davis and they whooped me, that's a learning lesson. It lets me know where I really am. What year were you born? 82. This is not... Everything's on a Summer Jam screen now. You see what I'm saying? When you were playing, there was no social media.
Starting point is 00:19:04 There was no way for people to be like, you know, running your shit back on their page and all that kind of stuff. Now these kids are embarrassed. They're scared to like, you know, have a social media, a viral moment against somebody like that's a big thing now. Like that's a thing. All we had back in the day was SoCal Hoops. I must say, Clark Francis.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Yeah, all of them. That paper. Oh, that paper. I'm number two? Okay, I didn't shake his hand. But they would always put favorable write-ups, so if you did get cooked by somebody, it wouldn't be worded, it wouldn't be like, oh, Gil got served. It would be nice.
Starting point is 00:19:34 But nowadays, even the writers are rude. They want somebody to, they want to create a viral tweet, a viral moment of their article where people are like, oh my god So what's up say you got cooked you touched earth on this? Yeah, but you get better and that's what it bears get embarrassed get get embarrassed feel that feel that pain
Starting point is 00:19:56 Right feel that pain and if you don't want to feel that again get better Yeah, don't bring your ass back out here. You better. Well ultimately, however y'all cut them highlights up, at some point you're gonna have to really see, but everything now is predicated on. In fact, you can have a whole, listen, them highlights and we from LA and we play on this team, I heard some feelings. Cause, listen, everybody gonna say,
Starting point is 00:20:20 yeah, we beat the hell out of them. But what'd you do with me? I gave you 55 at halftime. 55 and a half. That sounds nuts. 50 with running shoes on. That sounds nuts. Yeah, you lost by 30.
Starting point is 00:20:32 And you got your feelings hurt. That do sound nuts because it's 20 minutes running clock, too. Running clock. And it's like, so a nigga getting 50. Running clock. It be happening like that. A point every 30 seconds. Like, listen. listen in the first half
Starting point is 00:20:48 I believe it that's real shit. So question for you guys back to Team USA Has Team USA peaked or will we ever see a team as good as the dream team or the redeem team again? Hypothetically we have the stars like there. Nobody cares like we did then. For me, it's always about who's gonna play. But can a redeem team beat the dream team? No. That's been a conversation debate. I'm not going against Mike.
Starting point is 00:21:14 I don't know. They can. No, because it all depends on, are we taking the actual players or the names? No, the players. Because Bird, Bird's trash. Merge out of me. You know, Magic, washed.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Christian Ligner, no. Wait, Magic was washed? Oh yeah. Yeah, he was. Magic was on the edge. I don't think Magic was washed. Go look at that practice. Magic's toe was right here on the edge of water. I mean, he was still.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Come on, Carl. Come on. You're 6'9", but you're not the feature. You're not really. You're not in the game. I think a big part of it might be who's coaching. Steve Kerr. Because, like, honestly, it's about, like, the personalities
Starting point is 00:22:03 and all that kind of shit. They should have put Zeke on that team. Dominique Wilkins should have made the team, too. Zeke definitely should have been. It's one of those things where they have the bigs. They will have the bigs. Yeah. It depends on what type.
Starting point is 00:22:24 They will have the bigs because they got top-notch bigs. Right? They got Ewing. They got David Robinson. Yeah. And... Oh, wait. Carmelone.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Carmelone, Barkley was there. Barkley was there. They got some beast. Christian Layton and all sorts of people. Don't say it. You know what I mean? When it comes to the bigs, yeah, it becomes a problem. When it comes to the bigs, yeah, it becomes a problem.
Starting point is 00:22:47 When it comes to everyone else, it depends. You ain't bending his mic. But this is... Not that mic. Not that young. That was Mike coming out party. That was Mike like...
Starting point is 00:23:00 That was two chips in, Mike. Yeah. Here's the real question. And if you want to... I look at it like this. When you say who has the best team, you say, all right, we take this group, we take our team, right, and then we take them off the side. Build another team with the leftovers. After the starting five?
Starting point is 00:23:23 No, no. After you take the Dream Team and you take the Redeem Team, you move them aside. Take that roster and say, all right, now build another team. Right?
Starting point is 00:23:33 So you got Zeke. You got... Dominique. Dominique. I mean, you got Dominique, Zeke. You'll have Shaq on that one. Right? And then go from there.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Who's left over on this team? The Redeem Team that didn't make that team Yeah, cuz I think Michael Red was on that No, no, no Wait, I like it was it was Harden on a team mellow Yep Because we don't take the best of the best we take the best that fits with our
Starting point is 00:24:02 Key players so how many teams how many players in the league after you take the teams how many more teams of greatness? Can you build that let you know with the leftovers? That's what's the leftovers? Yeah. Yeah It'll be the I think Paul Pierce. It'll be the read it'll be the redeem, but it'll be the redeem team It'll be the redeem team side because all the other stars that were still dominant that just didn't play. Zeke meeting the criteria but not being selected still hurts. That's so messed up. That needs to be a soundbite. Like I look at it like, I look at it like, okay, you know, one of those is just an argument.
Starting point is 00:24:41 All right, let's just remove both and then build new teams from whatever's left over. So let's see who maximized their talent in that era. So we can't say, so the Redeem team didn't maximize if, you said Michael Red's making the team? No, no. He was on the team. No, he was on the 08 team. Yes. He wasn't better than like Paul Pierce.
Starting point is 00:25:01 He wasn't top 25 in the league at that point. Right? So you know what I mean? So you're gonna have, you know, they have Christian Laitner when you got Shaq now. There's more players, I think, on the Redeem team available. Available left. Yeah, the extras.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Penny? We got a fact from the research, like I said, Michael Ray was on the O-18, but didn't play in the gold medal game and it was his birthday. Oh! Can't get up, man. Are you serious?
Starting point is 00:25:26 You can't get a minute on his birthday, Coach K? Sidebar. So I watched that Dennis Rodman Rich and Shameless thing. Yo, Theo Ratliff, you remember he got hurt in that playoffs or whatever? I don't know if you guys remember this. He got hurt, and I found out from that documentary that he had surgery, closed on his house, and got traded on the same day. That's kinda messed up.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Well technically, maybe he closed on his house because he got traded. No, he didn't even know. He didn't even know. The man was in tears. And he got traded? Yes, but Mutombo bought the house. And he got traded? Yes. But Mutombo bought the house. Who he got traded for?
Starting point is 00:26:08 I'll take it. That's an easy sell though. Right. So I don't feel sorry about that. We got to the finals. But just imagine how hurt that was. Imagine landing. You're on the plane, landing, we're talking with your boys, yeah, you about to kill them tonight.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Soon as you land, you've been traded. Now you got to go back to a regular airport. A regular airport. Regular airport. Chill-ass idea. Let's talk a little bit just about the state of American hoops. So top three vote-getters for MVP this season were all international players. And we've got plenty of American stars coming up,
Starting point is 00:26:36 but we're still searching for that superstar on the Kobe, LeBron, or Steph level. How can American hoopers compete with this international takeover? You said compete like they're taking over. The voting, you mean? Top three players in the league right now. Well. No, no, no. The top three players are not international.
Starting point is 00:26:57 The top three. Vote getters. Let's say that. Top three MVP vote getters. Vote getters. Not players. And Embiid, I think, is technically American. He could play for.
Starting point is 00:27:04 I mean, with those three, they're definitely in the top five right now. Top getters. Not players. And Embiid I think is technically American. He could play for a... I mean, well those three, they're definitely in the top five right now. Top five, yeah. Okay. Three best players in the league. Based on... Because they're getting double votes. They're getting double votes.
Starting point is 00:27:13 And we got Luka as well. You're getting the American votes and you're getting the international votes. No, not for... Who's the most popular? Yes. Who leads in all-star voting? Not the Minton Nationals. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:28 And they have a whole other country to help them. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So that's how I look at it. Who's the most popular? Well, we're seeing that gap be closed, right? We're far removed from the days when the Dream Team is smacking dudes by 60, getting photos taken during the game.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Okay, let's just understand this. Where's Luka from? Slovenia. Slovenia, right? That means he technically has all of that country to vote for him. Correct. For sure. Plus Dallas and the fans he accumulates here. So he has a big advantage.
Starting point is 00:27:58 That's what I just said. Right? Why doesn't it show up in voting? Because China. He should be having eight, 10 million. But Slovenian population, 2.1 million. We got China. That's a whole nother, we got two big countries. America got China.
Starting point is 00:28:13 But not if you're a Chinese player. Like didn't Yao beat out Shaq for votes? But that should be, that should actually happen. I'm talking about just on the court, what we're seeing now. I think Tatum was four. I mean, you know, we're gone from those days when American players dominated the NBA.
Starting point is 00:28:33 That's because of you. I think European players are just better than us right now. They start from a younger age. These guys are pros at 15, 16 years old. Like Rubio was a pro at 14 years old. So their advantage and their mindsets, like they've already been pros way before us. And I think that's where we should start going.
Starting point is 00:28:49 And they're taught better basketball. Like they just are. Like they just are. They play all five positions. It doesn't matter how tall you are. You're going to learn how to shoot at center. And they play every day. You're going to learn how to dribble at center.
Starting point is 00:29:03 You know what I mean? We're not doing that We see somebody big what we do put them in a post dress and man I'll bop the fuck out one of them in and asking The players okay. I want to hear that shit Shake the table one of them in the man, they also play more basketball. Yeah, yeah, like they practice every day Like they're constantly in the gym. They're advantage at a certain age at a certain age. At a certain age, yes, from basically what, eight? Twelve, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Okay, that's when they can become basically twelve. But Luka was pro at 11, right? He was signed at 11, right? Probably something like that. I thought Jokic played at 12. No, he played at Boston at what, 12? What was the age of Luka when he played against Boston? It was like 14, 15.
Starting point is 00:29:48 I thought he was a little bit older. Okay, so shit, you're playing against an NBA team. Rubio was at the U.S. Remember Rubio for the USA? He was like 14. So you're getting the experience and the knowledge early. Luka was 16 when he played this year. Yeah, so 16.
Starting point is 00:30:03 You're 16-year-olds playing against 20, 25, 30, 35-year-old pros. So no matter what they're doing to you, you're learning. You're a computer. It's just like a big brother and a little brother, right? You have your big brother trying to move, that's five years older. You're trying the same move five years younger. Which means by the time you get to the same age as that brother, you have a different weaponry than he did.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Right? That's the advantage. So the Europeans have an advantage because they're learning everything the NBA is learning at 12. They're learning how to be pros at 12, 13, 14 years old. We're learning at 21, 19 years old. So they have that five-year, six-year gap. So at the same age, they're more dominant. Now, when you get to the 30s, it's a different thing.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Because everybody caught up. Because they're caught up. And what we have is they have the smarts and the discipline. We have the athleticism. So it's going to take us five, six years to get that. Once we have it, then it's... Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:09 They have better teaching than us too. Yeah. If we didn't have to go to middle school or high school and just say, you can pick the elite. If there was a program, Adidas, Adidas, Ad you know if you build a program oh my god right but we've got
Starting point is 00:31:27 like IMG we've got that's all that shit is you know you pick a straight Adidas you pick a straight basketball
Starting point is 00:31:34 housing where you personally select the individuals that you think will be the next generation right
Starting point is 00:31:43 you're inviting them. There's no politics. Everything is paid for by you. You have to be recruited and invited to this place. From there, three, four days of training and all of that, there's no way European
Starting point is 00:32:00 can catch up. You're playing a pro. Now you're taking this group and playing them overseas. Playing them overseas all summer. I'm about to say, okay. So now you're taking them, playing them overseas all summer. They're coming back, training. Like, our kids go to school. Yeah. Another advantage for a high school kid in this era is
Starting point is 00:32:16 you can practice before practice. Yeah. Or after practice. Like, you know, the gifted kids in America, they're somehow either, they have team practice and they're practicing after school. Or they wake up America, they're somehow either they have team practice and they're practicing after school. Yeah. Or they wake up early, they practice, and they have the team practice.
Starting point is 00:32:30 From there, you know, we're just using, you know, our God-given gifts. So we talked about this a little bit earlier, but I wanted to touch on it again. Is the shoe circuit brand of AAU helping or hurting American basketball? I think it's hurting. Right. I think it's hurting. I think kids should be able to sign and go play wherever they want to. It don't matter. If I'm a kid in high school, I'm wearing any shoe. Unless you're signing me
Starting point is 00:32:52 to a deal. Like, if you ain't signing me to a deal, I should be able to go anywhere and play. That's what I did my senior year. I went anywhere and played. I was wearing your shoes. I was wearing everybody's stuff. I didn't care. But like you mentioned now, and we were talking about earlier, you see it now the Nike guys just play against Nike guys. So there's not, you know, a lot of talented players
Starting point is 00:33:08 in the EYBL, but that's not the best pool of talent in America, you got Adidas, you got Under Armour, everybody's got their own circuits that they're running. Do we need to shift to more of a model where the cream of the crop are going against each other, iron sharpens iron, having to play each other regardless of what shoes they're wearing. She just have a shoe tournament.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Everybody come together, whoever has a shoe brand, come together like butt cheeks, and let's get it. It hurts the kids because, like the kids don't actually understand what it is. They know my daughter plays on Team Why Not, right? And she wears Kobe's, but she can't wear Kobe's on Team Why Not. She's got to wear those Jordans of Westbrook Jordans. So she's like, why can't I just wear my Kobe's?
Starting point is 00:34:01 They're Nike. I ain't Jordan. But why can't I? You ain'tes? They're Nike. And Jordan. But why can't I? Like, you ain't paying me. Because it's the team. So what ends up happening is this is a team sponsor. The coach, I mean. That's your, you wear, when you're coaching us, wear your Jordans.
Starting point is 00:34:21 This has nothing to do with the fucking kids. If they got to wear their uniforms, there's Jordan uniforms. But when it comes to their shoes, they should wear, like if you give them free shoes, give them free shoes. Other than that, they shouldn't be obligated
Starting point is 00:34:32 because they don't get no benefit for it. They don't get no benefit for it. Some shoes don't even fit, like, like, it's not comfortable. Like, the art,
Starting point is 00:34:42 I have a high arch, so I can't even wear certain shoes. And I wouldn't, I wouldn't want to wear no Jordans if it ain't the retros. Yes. Like, I feel funny. Like, the art, I have a high art, so I can't even wear certain shoes. And I wouldn't want to wear no Jordans if it ain't the retros. Yes. Yeah. I'm sorry. Like, I want to wear my Grinches. You're not wearing Westbrook.
Starting point is 00:34:51 You know, it's like the Grinches. Like, my son do the same thing. It's like, you know, these shoes feel comfortable. He's like, can I wear these shoes? Yeah, you can't. You can't wear your Hardens over to the USA basketball rink. No. That's crazy to me.
Starting point is 00:35:05 That is weird. That's crazy to me. That is weird. That's crazy. You just handicap everything. You know, everything is too political. And when political kicks in, talent pool is mediocre. It's washed down. You're washing your talent when you use political agendas. And that's the bad part about it.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Which European don't have. They don't give a shit. They don't have shoe contracts, do they? No, it's just the team. They probably do now. Like the team and then. Their team will have like maybe a sponsor or something like that, but you're not obligated.
Starting point is 00:35:39 You do not have to wear it. Yeah, I'm about to say, yeah. You don't have to wear it? No. Yeah, see, that's how it should be. Yeah, our team had like little donated Nike's, whatever, I wasn't wearing them. Oh yeah, you don't have to wear that shit. How that's how should be our team had like little Donated new Nikes what I'm wasn't wearing Like don't I was wearing McGrady's overseas like I love those. No, I'm not saying Adidas is big overseas
Starting point is 00:35:54 Yes, I was wearing you know, my son's in it going there flying in Italy right now. They're gonna play overseas Oh, I saw him on your road. Yeah, Adidas your old and Nike has a huge deal with FIBA Just gotta put that out there for you guys. But got a hypothetical for you guys. So in light of the news that the Saudi-backed Live Golf Tour and the PGA are merging, got a question for you. So say you're an aging NBA superstar like LeBron or Steph, right? Career kind of, you know, you're on the decline.
Starting point is 00:36:20 How much would an international team need to offer you to convince you to leave the NBA to go play overseas? 200 million. A year? 200 million. A year? Probably, maybe... If it's one game a week, possibly. Because why would you do that?
Starting point is 00:36:36 When you say aging, how... I don't think a young guy would do it, but like, Brandon, you were a trendsetter going from high school straight overseas. Now NIL has kind of neutralized that, but at some point you can get a guy who's kind of, not even on their last leg, but somebody like a Steph or LeBron who's in the twilight of their career, got four or five years left. If I come in and say, I'll give you 200 million dollars a year. Me, I'm going.
Starting point is 00:37:02 For three years. Me, me, yes. I'm going to Me, yes. I'm going to take 300 million. 300 each? Or just 100 million each? 300 million a year. So I get a billion dollars.
Starting point is 00:37:17 I mean, if I'm LeBron, I'm already getting a billion now. But that's what I'm saying. I don't know if LeBron has a number to leave. Because it's like you're not even in your own country. It's just a lot. Somebody that's already a billionaire. I don't see LeBron doing it. Or Steph. Steph, I don't.
Starting point is 00:37:33 It's a 99. 99. There's only probably two players maybe? Maybe. Three? I don't see KD. I don't see KD going either. Westbrook.
Starting point is 00:37:48 No, I could see like a James Harden. I could see Westbrook. James Harden. Facts. Yeah. You pay James Harden a million a year to go overseas? A hundred million, yeah. A hundred million a year?
Starting point is 00:37:57 For three years? Yeah. That's 300 million. You break it down. But like we talked about before the show, that also now applies pressure to the league. Sally Kaepernick, all that other shit. I don't know if it'll happen in our lifetime, but like we talked about before the show, that also now applies pressure to the league. Mm-hmm. Sally Papp and all that other shit. Yeah. I don't know if it'll happen in our lifetime, but it's definitely-
Starting point is 00:38:09 Nah, the only way the league will impact the league is if they offer that to John Morant, Tatum. Luka. Mm-mm. Luka's overseas. I don't care No, who else who's came into the league what's what's a new Anthony Edwards Anthony Edwards a lamella type of mellow like if if if
Starting point is 00:38:35 Overseas can take those like the fit the new face of the NBA and I can mess up the stats in their trajectory by paying them 100 million a year to shift it off But you would need like a James or somebody to do it first like you would need an older guy Establish the tone. Tell you yeah, it's at the tone Here's someone go to Anthony Edwards right now if someone go to Anthony Edwards right now Italy team or Paris team and say 300 million a year for three years. You play one game a week. You don't have to practice some stupid shit like that.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Here's your home. Here's your what's-her-name. That'd be a hard you'd be sitting there like, I think he would do it. Just three years and you come back at 26, 27. I'd bet him out. It'd have to be a strong enough name too.
Starting point is 00:39:26 That's why I say LeBron or some people that are already established, that are established over in places like China. The youth won't care about that. But how you get the return on your investment. What I'm saying is if I'm John Moran, if I'm Anthony Edwards, if I'm LaMelo, I don't care what LeBron's doing at his age. He has all of his stats. So what he's doing makes sense to him, right?
Starting point is 00:39:45 Now, if you took, let's say, if I'm Tatum, and I go over there, and you're like, I'm Tatum and John Morant just signed 300 million a year for three years. I'm like. I'm sitting there like. Or even 100 million. How much?
Starting point is 00:40:02 100, yeah, even I'll be sitting there like, hey man, hey, what country is it in? You're gonna pique my interest. For sure. If someone who's supposed to be with me takes off for three years and, I don't know. Different.
Starting point is 00:40:20 I'm gone. 100 million a year for three years, I'm gone. I come right back. Gone, and then you come back. Three years? I'm gone. I come right back. Gone. And then you come back. Three years? You hooped. Like it's not like you fell out of shape.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Three years? My teammates shit? Yeah! Have you done? Have you done? Like when is Greek the Freak a free agent? Oh, I don't know. Let's pull it up.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Three years? Oh, he ain't a free agent this year? Greek the Freak? No. Middleton I think is the only one that's got the player option. Yeah, Greek the Freak was a free agent this year and he'd be like, in his country, Greece offered him $150 a year? And he starts entertaining that?
Starting point is 00:40:56 I'd be the buck. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's figure this out. Milwaukee's yours. That statue up there. That statue would be a plus. That's the air retire in his out. Walkie's yours. That statue up there. That statue be up there. That's the air retire his jersey now.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Right now. So Giannis can opt out after a 25 season. Yeah, I'm talking about right now, like right now, like, bruh. Two years, that's two years. So they just did that to go. You'll freak the hell out of me. You'll scare the hell out of me if I'm the Bucs.
Starting point is 00:41:21 Liv was coming in, scooping everybody up, giving me. They were scooping everybody. But guys like Tiger, a lot of guys said they not rolling with it, but it's like one of those type of countries that has just disposable bread. Mm-hmm. You know, the petrodollars, as they say. They were trying to find the players
Starting point is 00:41:34 and do all, suing them and all this stuff. Yeah, and now they all like together, right? Now they in a set foot. Yeah, so it's like if Tiger would've got that money, he would've got like 900 million. He should've did it. And still would've been able to do his thing. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Yeah, that's wild. The ones that jumped off the ledge, I respect I can tell you this. I respect it. It's Tiger Woods If Tiger Woods won 900 for the next three years Tiger Woods gonna get 900 for the next year. It's like Because his name alone stamps the it's stamps whatever it is. Yeah So you mentioned Ja before. Let's talk a little bit about Ja and the latest going on with his situation. Before the NBA Finals started last week, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver shed some new light on Ja's future. We've uncovered a fair amount of additional information, I think, since I was still asked about the situation. I would say we probably could have brought it to a head now, but we made the decision.
Starting point is 00:42:31 And I believe the Players Association agrees with us that it would be unfair to these players and these teams in the middle of the series to announce the results of that investigation. And given that we're, of course, in the off season, he has now been suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies indefinitely, and so nothing would have changed anyway in the next few weeks. It seemed better to park that at the moment,
Starting point is 00:42:58 at least any public announcement. And my sense now is that shortly after the conclusion of the finals. What does that mean? So they uncovered a lot. They know they're going to suspend him. But we're not going to tell y'all now because we don't want to take away from the finals. We're just going to make y'all think about this shit.
Starting point is 00:43:15 So what the fuck are you mentioning? Yeah, you literally just distracted us. We're going to talk about it now, I guess. So it's like, shut up. All you need to do, we're doing some fact-finding, gathering information. We'll let y'all know at a later date. But by saying that in the cryptic message Seems like they go, you know, it's gonna be some shit coming. So based on silver comment So yeah, say it or don't just say it and get out. I hate when people do that
Starting point is 00:43:36 I got out, you know, I got to tell you some I'll tell you later. No You gonna tell me right now if you don't tell me right now Fuck about it. No, I'm just gonna just say whatever the fuck I want to tell me right now. If you don't tell me right now, you're going to tell me, I don't give a fuck about it. I was annoying. Now I'm just going to just say whatever the fuck I want to say to you now just to fucking piss you off so you can now say it. I'm going to give you a whooping, but I'm going to wait three weeks to give it to you and let you just think about it. Three weeks come, I ain't do shit.
Starting point is 00:43:56 You know what I mean? I forgot I did this shit. I ain't do shit. But based on Silver's comments, what kind of punishment do you expect the league to hand down? I know one thing. If it ain't really bad, they just jacked us for nothing. They just jacked us off.
Starting point is 00:44:10 It's gotta be so bad because why are you doing a press conference to tell us there's gonna be another press conference to tell us? Like, shut up. Like Springer said, get on with it, motherfucker. Just do it. Listen, I can tell you this 1000%. Like Springer said, get on with it, motherfucker. Just do it. Listen, I can tell you this 1,000%. Whatever they come up with is going to be made up. What you mean?
Starting point is 00:44:35 Today. Whatever they suspend them for is not actually a rule. They're making it up. It's going to be a made-up thing. And then that's going to be going forward. If anybody ever does this new thing that they're going to create, 25, 17, 32, whatever the fuck they make up, they just made it up. It has nothing to do with the policy.
Starting point is 00:44:58 So there's nothing in the rule book he's getting suspended for. This is going to be created just for him. And what about the fact that they said that they found other information? Was it illegal? Is there a criminal investigation? So they don't give a fuck. I think they're going to give them
Starting point is 00:45:19 30, 50 games. Somewhere 30 to 50? You guys would just not let them suspend They're just suspending the whole season then. Because it's not. It's tight. Listen, it's going to be some type of wording. It's going to be like league policy. Immoral clause.
Starting point is 00:45:41 It's going to be some dumb shit that people can go, oh yeah, that's what it is. Because gun charge is like one in three games. You would know, huh? It's one in three games. So they're going to use other things that has nothing to do with it. So it'd be like a moral clause, infraction.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Detrimental. You can't use that anymore. Why not? Detrimental to the organization, which means the organization gets to do what they want to do. Okay. So it has to be some type of infraction for the NBA. Oh, the NBA, okay. Moral infraction policy of a star player. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Claws towards the kid. It's going to be something they make it up. I mean, it's definitely going to be different. This era, I mean, the era that we live in is different. Kids see it. You know, they're trying to, you know, I'm just saying just saying the league gonna try to be a little bit more hard on them Oh hard on what? The fact that he was yeah, yeah just being like, you know, like I know as the time goes
Starting point is 00:46:34 It'd be you know at the time goes into certain stuff like he's a brand like you're in Gil All right, like you're just like your incident, right? The guns in locker room like if he would have brought guns in the locker room Mm-hmm, he would be done for the whole year. Uh-huh. So it's different It's just a different time and error and what we're you know around now. I'm just saying who's this following? What What rapper do those kids listen to NBA Young? Okay, right let me say it again So they listen to the same person he listens to right? Say it again. NBA Young Boys. So they listen to the same person he listens to, right?
Starting point is 00:47:05 Uh-huh. So when they listen to the same lyrics, what are they doing? The same shit. Same shit, right? They ain't got no guns. But I know they don't, but they're doing the same exact thing. I mean, but it's a dance, though. Middle school in the game, they hit a three,
Starting point is 00:47:19 and they be sitting there doing this in the game. That's what they do. What he's doing to them, what he is actually doing, those kids are doing. They don't see nothing different. But you're the face of the league. But I get the
Starting point is 00:47:35 moral part of it. But the people who are mad, they're the older group that don't understand what this generation is. Right? So all the kids is like, first of all, if you don't put his shoes back on the market, we're not buying no other Nikes. Yeah. So Nike's like, all right, let's go ahead and release it. Sold out.
Starting point is 00:47:53 They quietly released it. Sold out. They didn't even announce it. No big rollout. Because Nike was getting hit up by them. But you get 5,000, 6,000, 100, thousand kids mad cuz they don't know what the hell's going on That's what the problem is either. You don't put his shoes back up. We're not buying no other Nikes. It was a kid boycott Soon as that shoe hit so you don't want to do that. You don't have no kid boycott
Starting point is 00:48:18 Say you're Nike. Do you secretly? Enjoy this because you're getting more bread? You sold out in 10 minutes? Less. Yeah. You have Bryce James. Wearing it. Wearing it. Which means they only wear Jordans.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Kobe. Kobe. And now Josh. Some of them. There was a name you left out. They ain't Rocky Dasher. No, dad. I didn't say the bar.
Starting point is 00:48:44 You said Jordan Kobe's. Oh Jordan, Kobe's and they dad. Wait, they don't wear Jordans. They do. They wore Jordans to the record breaker. Yes, they do. I ain't never seen them wear they dad shoes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They do?
Starting point is 00:48:55 They need to be the ones before they come out. But now they got- The ones nobody can get. Now they have Jaws, right? You know, you ain't even seen them in Kyrie's and Katie's like that. No. So you know you gotta sit there and in Kyrie's and Katie's like that so you know you got to sit there and your dad I need to because they got sold out so you know they didn't get it dad make that call yeah that's what I'm saying they were probably chilling at the crib but that's but that's how
Starting point is 00:49:18 that's how big the name is to the youth right so you're penalized when you're penalizing like it's it's a weird, it's a, there's only a few people that have this kind of hold. Like same thing with Kyrie. Right? Well, actually, I mean.
Starting point is 00:49:35 Those kids didn't understand what was going on and they don't care. They don't care, yeah. They don't want to listen to what you say. I don't care about a fucking movie that I'm never going to watch.
Starting point is 00:49:43 I'm seven. Where the fucking shoes at? I didn't even see the link. My son, my son. I was like, yeah, I said, yeah, my son. I told my son he's loving it. I said, yeah, you know, we can't, you know, the Kyrie's are done.
Starting point is 00:49:56 He looked at me like I did something to the man. My son wears Kyrie's. I mean, hold on, brother. I didn't do nothing to his white folks. Yeah, my son wears Kyrie's too. White folks is doing this. I be, brother. Take these agent zeros, dog.
Starting point is 00:50:08 I thought it was strange. Like, when Bryce wore the shoes, I just knew the media was going to attack LeBron and be like, oh, you're condoning what Ja did, and you're letting your kid wear the shoes? Like, what does that mean? You couldn't even say nothing They couldn't say nothing because in ten minutes
Starting point is 00:50:30 Yeah Assess you the fastest I mean that's the fastest selling shoes since our Jordan. Yeah, or Kanye or Kanye West Maybe everybody should put a gun in a night. Nah, you gotta have, like, you, it's, listen. You gotta be the guy, too. You gotta be the guy. Even if you don't like the guy, even if you don't like that player themselves, this is how strong a personality is. Even if you do not like him,
Starting point is 00:50:57 if your kid is telling you this is the shoe they want, if you say no, you the bad guy. True. True. Not whatever he did. is the shoe they want. If you say no, you the bad guy. True. True. Not whatever he did. They don't care nothing about none of that. They don't know adult life. They know they want to sit there with the Ja Morant's doing the Ja Morant dance. That's it. That dance is called the Ja Morant dance. Not the person who admitted it. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:51:22 It's not gritty. I don't like his gritty though. Tell it to gritty. I don't like his gritty, though. Tell it to your son. I'm pretty sure he's gritty and all through. Yeah, he is, but he also agrees with me. But it's very feminine gritty that he does. I'm sorry. Because he can't do the real one.
Starting point is 00:51:37 He can't do the real one. Yeah. But it was created off of young boy. Yeah. That's real. He got the AI effect. That's for sure It's the AI effect. It's only him in AI to me He is the Iverson so good he's so good that
Starting point is 00:51:58 No matter what you try to do. No matter this is too strong for a great father for corporate He's got the the youth. He's got the youth. He has the youth. How can you fight that? It's your aura. It's the aura. You can't control the aura. The aura is crazy.
Starting point is 00:52:14 On that court, it's just dreads just flying, like dunking on my face. It's crazy. What's so funny is he's the type of kid, this is how much power. If he cut his dreads, kids will cut their dreads. Kids will cut their dread dreams are cutting for sure because when I was in got the braids and we got everybody got sure Sure, sure sure. What's your I agree with? Yeah. Yeah, a lot of us got the braids cuz the AI we were tender headed We fought through it the sweat and the tears
Starting point is 00:52:40 That she used to hurt like... Motherfucker, right here. The hang was always the kid. Then you'd be forced into the genuines. The genuines. The genuines. Nasty. We got 7,300 of y'all in the chat right now. We appreciate you. Come on.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Come on. Let's talk a little bit more about Ja. Morant recently unfollowed his longtime friend who filmed the video on IG Live. I think it was the same friend who got in a situation with the laser pointer, we'll just say, in the tunnel with the Pacers. You guys both played in the league, and you've had, you know, crew before. Sometimes that we're doing a little too much, you had to make a decision. So, we've talked about this a little bit before, but how hard is it to actually cut off your friends? And what is Ja doing that signal to you? Um, one, he didn't cut off his friend. He just unfollowed him on social media to make
Starting point is 00:53:33 it seem like he cut off his friend. In this day and age? No, that was for everybody else. I'mma follow your burner. I'mma follow your burner. They still kicking it every day, I bet. Like, he's not at the age to really understand that everyone is not, everyone can't go to the next level. Yeah. Right?
Starting point is 00:53:54 Everyone's personality is not built for every door you're going to unlock. Right? Yeah. He was a great friend growing up. Great friend, you know, first couple years in the NBA. But you're a superstar now. So the problem becomes he has to be a superstar friend and understand that. If he can't be the superstar friend, then that's when you have to let him go.
Starting point is 00:54:26 As friends, you have to give your friend the opportunity to see if he's- To fuck up? No, basically. No, to see if he can go to the next level with you. If not, it's like, yo, I got to figure out... When I open up a door, just like anything, like tell my son with girlfriends, you got high school girlfriends, right? When you go to college, you open up a whole nother door. Right? When you're a rookie, you open up a whole nother door.
Starting point is 00:54:50 When you're a max player, whole nother door. Like, there's levels to everything. And that level comes with financial advisors, friends, people that's going to help you make money. There's levels. So to have a friend come with you, he has to be able to adapt also. I want to hear him because you didn't have no crew for real. You had a crew.
Starting point is 00:55:13 I want to hear you answer that question. Yeah, well, my crew was always older than me. So I always felt like I could be able to learn from them. But actually, I was doing the teaching. Yeah, you were. At a young age. So I think that was one of my downfalls too, I could be able to learn from them, but actually I was doing the teaching. Yeah, you were. At a young age. So I think that was one of my downfalls too,
Starting point is 00:55:31 is like me trying to play basketball and also control five or seven different niggas in a crib. And it's like, like you just said, like you have to grow with the person. And, you know, one thing I've learned too is also that, you know, when God is inviting you places, like everybody can't go. Because that's how you miss out on your blessing. So I just think, you know, for Jah, he is young. It is going to be hard to tell your long friend, you know, your longtime friend no or they can't go.
Starting point is 00:55:52 But, you know, the position that he's in, and I wish I would have known, like, the position I was in for Milwaukee being a franchise player, like, I should have just said a lot of no's and everybody just can't go. But instead, I felt like I needed seven, eight guys to look cool when it's like at the end of the day, it ain't. It's just a bill at the end of the day. That's the kind of stuff that needs to be said. What you just said, like that's what needs to be said
Starting point is 00:56:14 to all of these players. Like after the fact, like let me tell you what I learned. I had a crew, I was doing this and that. Everywhere you go, you gotta pay for these niggas, everything like they gotta eat. They only eating if y'all feeding them. They're only flying if y'all paying for the flights. They're only getting pussy if y'all providing. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:56:31 Everything. So now that you're older, I feel like they need to know that because they need to see, like, it's not worth it. No, they have to go through it. Sometimes you need to learn from other people's mistakes. Yeah, but that's why the NBA, that's why we was talking about the NBA transition. Like, why don't they have us in there? Because...
Starting point is 00:56:46 Like, you know what I'm saying, why don't we have to talk to them? It's like, I know what's finna come with y'all. I know what you got and I know what you finna do. You finna make all these dudes look cool around you,
Starting point is 00:56:53 give them clothes, give them jewelry, give them all this stuff. But then the first time you get hurt or anything happen, we gonna see how many people still with you.
Starting point is 00:57:00 You need somebody to take you to the, you know, your appointments if you have surgery and it has... They're not pulling up. They're not. Because appointments if you have surgery and has it they're not Pulling up they not they because you're if you're not providing that vibe They're not really there for you and they low-key worse than the women
Starting point is 00:57:12 But you see dudes circle jump like no the circle I mean like I can't wish to the women I did everything is what we doing. Yeah, yeah, I can say I can tell you this When you look at the elites Right their circle was small as hell and most of them met most of a circle when they played Right after they like Kobe who was Kobe circle Nobody This is wife and I was in nobody Nobody because he was already being taught. He was already being taught by the Michael Jordan and all that right He would call Michael Jordan himself and try to figure out how to move or this move and and I mean so
Starting point is 00:57:54 Warren Buffett and all that that he already Like the the league like nobody knows this, you know, you have rookie hazing When Kobe got drafted they told the team he's off-limits. You you have rookie hazing when Kobe got drafted. They told the team he's off limits. You can't rookie haze him. He's exempt from all rookie hazing. That's lit. So he already had the power.
Starting point is 00:58:18 He already had the bodyguards. So he was a rookie that came in and they already had bodyguards for him. Right, which already puts a whole different type of element into the play. So, you know, so there's things that he was granted that all the other superstars or whatever friends he had, it was already cut off by the time he was there. He was already out of there. But he also played for the Lakers.
Starting point is 00:58:39 Yeah. LeBron James. I mean, you know, the organization is different. Yeah. LeBron James, you know, Richie is two teammates Right here two teammates Richie That's it Yeah, that there's no new ones. But the difference between them is what what are y'all gonna do? What do y'all want to do?
Starting point is 00:59:00 See, that's the question that all these kids got asked drama rent John Moran asks you, what do you want to do in life? Yeah. Hang around me all day is not what you want. That's, no. What do you want to do? Do you want to be an agent? Do you want to be a financial advisor? Do you want to be a marketing guy?
Starting point is 00:59:14 Fuck on business or something. What do you want to do that can help the movement? If you want to help me, what do you want to do to help me? But he's not, like, at that age, you ain't thinking that. I know you're not. Like, you know what I'm to do? But he's not, like, at that age, you ain't thinking that. I know you're not. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, he's not thinking that.
Starting point is 00:59:30 And that's why I was like, okay, well, where's his mom? Like, what is his mom? Like, everybody keep bringing up his dad. Like, everybody keep bringing up his dad. Like, his dad needs to be. Because that's the one we see. But I also heard the mom was the one that made the phone call for him to come up there and do certain stuff. So it's like, okay, well, what type of advice is she giving him, too, though? None.
Starting point is 00:59:43 Think about this. So I saw an interview Snoop did not too long ago and he was talking about master P It took Matt grown-ass Snoop Dogg to talk to master P about getting rid of his crew You see what I'm saying? So it's almost like it's the messenger. Mm-hmm You have to find the right messenger because Snoop wasn't listening to anybody else. Death Row was going down. It was a lot of shit going on and Master P was the only person that could get to him and say, get rid of all these niggas, all this stuff you're doing. It's like weight from you elevating to where you really need to go.
Starting point is 01:00:18 And a lot of times hanging with your friends can get you killed, can get you put in jail, you in bad situations and you're a star. Get you robbed because a lot of your friends be jealous of you too. They get you put in jail. You're in bad situations and you're a star. Get you robbed because a lot of your friends will be jealous of you too. They want to be you. Yeah, but they start trying to take on your persona too, but they don't got to be in the gym like you do. They don't got the bread or the gym. But you know, they don't have to put in the work like you do, but they get to do. It's kind of like people in the
Starting point is 01:00:36 clubs out here, right? People that have to show up to the clubs. I was partying with Brandon. I was partying with Gil, but were you in the gym with Brandon and Gil for the 10 hours before they, that was the reward for the work that they did already. Even if they in the gym, what are you doing? Rebound.
Starting point is 01:00:49 I'm just saying. Yeah, rebound. Like, hey. But that's what I'm saying. That's why the question when you're younger, like, that's why we get to speak. When you're, you got to ask the question, what do you want to do? Yeah. Period.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Yeah. Waking up every day and watching and doing all that, being a fanboy. Nah, what do you want to do? Like Richie wanted to be, Richie wanted to be an agent. Are you wanting to be agent? So let's do that. This is where I'm supposed to be. I supposed to be climbing to Michael Jordan. So I know what I supposed to do. You supposed to, what do you want? You want to be an agent? All right. This is the, this is the road. You got to take classes. You got to do that. You got to sign up. Boom. You want to be a manager. All right. I'm supposed to do. You're supposed to, what do you want? You want to be an agent? All right, this is the road. You got to take classes. You got to do that. You got to sign up.
Starting point is 01:01:27 Boom. You want to be a manager? All right, I'm going to hook you up with these people that are managers. You sit in with them every single day and learn how to be
Starting point is 01:01:34 a marketing manager. We will meet together. If our plans work by the time we get here, we're going to be dominant. But they also got to want it. The reason it worked is because they really wanted it. They wanted it. They wanted it.
Starting point is 01:01:52 They wanted it. They wanted it. They also knew who they were around too. A lot of people just don't know who they be around. They just be like going with the flow. Just seeing a dude. Yes. Because it's easy.
Starting point is 01:02:00 You can't get the LeBron. Like me. And we talk all the time. If it comes to business, I gotta talk to Math. Yeah, his boy. Go through Math, but that's the power he gave. So he knows if it goes through Math and Math actually talks to him about it,
Starting point is 01:02:19 that means Math done vetted it to the point. The work been done. It had already been done. So LeBron ain't gonna never question nothing Mav or Richie has to say because he knows by the time it gets to him, it's already been fully vetted.
Starting point is 01:02:34 And all he has to do is say, alright, bet. I'm about to say, yeah, you can't get on the zone with LeBron. And you gotta trust your friends like that too. That comes from them actually going through the growing pains and learning their craft and getting there, performing at the high level. Because sometimes you can give somebody the water and lead the hoe. That don't mean they gonna drink it.
Starting point is 01:02:54 But you can't make them drink it. Because it's hard to be your own man. It's hard to be your own man when you're around somebody that got it. It's like, you know, because you trying to, then you become envy and then it's competition. It's like, man, you just go in your lane, I'm going to go in my lane like man, you just going your lane. I'm gonna go in my lane and it's always got the group you out of here How many times did you hear? We're trying to eat or when we go eat For the point where it flipped her initially like oh we're gonna do this till was like damn
Starting point is 01:03:16 I'm not trying to take out any more meals me just it was just more like just after workout summer workouts Like I've been in the gym since eight to one, coming back home. And then you can still sleep on the couch, playing video games. And it was like, and what are we doing? Nothing. I'm going to bed. Like, are they in the fridge taking your favorite beverages
Starting point is 01:03:34 and your favorite snacks? I mean, I have a, I had a chef there. I always had my chef. So my chef was always cooking, but you know, it was just like, you know, they, you know, they eating good. Like they eat like they, you know, they going out there, you know, like, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. So it was like, you know, that was, you know, it was just like, you know, they eating good. Like, they eating like they, you know, they going out there.
Starting point is 01:03:45 You know what I'm saying? Yeah. So it was like, you know, that was my downfall of it, making people feel like they was me. And it was like when I should have made them earn it. Yeah. And that's just true. Or at least they had to contribute in some kind of way.
Starting point is 01:04:01 You know what I'm saying? No, they don't. No, they don't. They contribute to something. That's what I'm saying. Like, that's not, like, I don't have friends like that. Like, I'm rude though, because. Yeah, like I had a situation where I got touched
Starting point is 01:04:13 before in a club by someone. What do you mean touched? Like, no, you know, like, I fight. Oh. He said, I fight. I fight, I fight. I'm a woman, I'm a woman, I'll say that. And it's just like, I was with so many people
Starting point is 01:04:24 and I'm the one that got touched out of the whole crew and nobody did nothing. That's when I changed. That's what made me change my whole view of everybody in my life. Like family, friends, everything. That's the night when I changed everything around me. That's when I started having trust issues. You realized you was really by yourself.
Starting point is 01:04:40 You was with a crew but you was really by yourself. Yeah, but I'm by myself. It's like, oh, okay. And I don't care what I did. It don't matter. I'm paying for all this. Yeah. It was a little crude, but you were really by yourself. Yeah, but I'm by myself. It's like, oh, okay. And I don't care what I did. It don't matter. I'm paying for all this. Yeah. Like, you know.
Starting point is 01:04:48 That's real shit. Yeah. That's when I knew. I don't even buy my friends food. If somebody touched me, I got four friends that are putting hands on any bitch to touch me.
Starting point is 01:04:59 I ain't got to buy them. No, no. That's when you know you locked in with people. You know, they looking out. But now the people I got around me now, if you touch me now, yeah, right. It's on. But the problem is this.
Starting point is 01:05:09 So it's like, you know. We got your back. You know, that's the thing. For some reason, we always have our boys around us like they're bodyguards. Yeah. Like they're bodyguards knowing that that's your fault. It is. No, no.
Starting point is 01:05:26 I'm taking full responsibility for everything. You know 100% they probably never got in fights. And they've never been the first one to swing on nobody, right? You know that. But you think because of the superhero mentality you have, it just automatically transferred, right? Knowing if a brawl hit out, I I know 60s niggas about the front Right, but we don't we don't we don't think about that in real time
Starting point is 01:05:51 So it has to have something to happen and you brought just like the James situation him slapping the dude He should have never slapped him No, whoever he was with autumn all the niggas and he be with they should have slapped him Yeah, and we don't even know what's getting slapped for he might be the dude that does all the things That's what I'm saying. He might be like, the table wasn't ready. I thought I told you to call. I thought I told you to call.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Whatever. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. I thought the table ain't ready. Smack him. They don't got my eyes. I just told you. Oh, yellow peanut.
Starting point is 01:06:18 Uh! Like, that's what we don't know what the pimp slap was for. I don't know if y'all watch Succession, but every once in a while, you need some boar on the floor. You got to weed out. You got to boar on the pimp slap was for. I don't know if y'all watch Succession, but every once in a while you need some boar on the floor. You gotta weed out, you gotta boar on the floor and weed them out. I'll slap somebody for my friends too though. I'm keeping real.
Starting point is 01:06:31 That's a real friend though. And me too. And it's like, well why am I doing it? Like, but yeah. They got me, I got them. And I am a fighter. I am with the shits and I like hanging with girls that are with the shits too.
Starting point is 01:06:43 Like we don't start nothing now. But we definitely with it if it jump off. So you spoke about LeBron and his entourage earlier. Bron's back in the news again. Kyrie Irving set to become a free agent in a few weeks. And much has been made about a possible reunion with LeBron. Most thought that reunion would be on the Lakers.
Starting point is 01:07:01 Kyrie reportedly has other plans. So according to Shams, sources Kyrie Irving has reached out to Lakers star LeBron James in attempts to see if James would come to Dallas. Irving is a free agent this offseason. So on Monday, The Athletic reported that the late hold on. That's a 30 million. Yeah, I'm about to say that's it. 30.6 million views. Yeah. Yeah. 30 million. I'm doing numbers But that's, like look at the final tweets and look at this LeBron. He doing numbers. Rumors. Nah, I got a new rumor too then. What is it? Rumors out. Give it to a Gil.
Starting point is 01:07:35 Flip this off chat and put it up. No, I'm going on my Twitter. You gonna put a rumor out? Yep. Fuck it. Cause you can't just, How the fuck do we know Kyrie said this shit? We don't.
Starting point is 01:07:48 See? Nah, alright. I got some shit for y'all. Oh boy. Was the source to say? Well, Shams is a reliable human being. Let me go see some more.
Starting point is 01:08:00 Based on other information that he's broke, we may know who some of his sources could potentially be. And this very well be close to, you know, a source that is one of these two people that he's mentioning in this tweet. Okay.
Starting point is 01:08:13 So I'm just saying. I'll just leave it at that. But Sean's always obviously, you know, just report shit to report it. But Athletic on Monday reported Lakers still aren't interested in adding Kyrie to the team, which, again, when I see all this see all this shit if I am the Lakers why come why am I gonna report? Yeah, we want Kyrie now that crazy like it's all you know, I mean and Perrin and all that's just like no But we're not yeah, we'll never sign Kyrie. We would never trade D low for Kyrie Who said that I'm just saying that all I'm saying like we would never do a sign in trade
Starting point is 01:08:43 What you know you gonna say whatever you got to say to get it done But LeBron has two years remaining on his Lakers contract with the final year being a player option So just looking at this situation who has more leverage right now LeBron or the Lakers? Who has more leverage leverage What do you mean like as far as like if he's gonna sign back with him? I mean if you're the bar right right now, you've pondered retirement. You're 38. You had the janky foot.
Starting point is 01:09:07 He's not retiring. You dethroned the Warriors. And that's what I'm saying. You're coming back to this Lakers squad. Janky foot. You dethroned the Warriors. But, however, you did lose to the Nuggets in the least amount of games possible for them to advance.
Starting point is 01:09:18 I like how you worded that. Yeah, we don't say the S word around here. But obviously looking at this roster, you want to get back to a championship level, I would imagine. You got to keep LeBron, so LeBron has all the leverage. Now we're cracking. How do you get back there without that piece? It doesn't even make sense.
Starting point is 01:09:33 There's nobody. You'd have to put two or three players together to get the production that he has. Yeah. So I feel like he clearly has the advantage in this situation. I mean, the Lakers want to go back and start over and rebuild. Sure, it's going to take them years to just get back to a Lakers want to go back and start over and rebuild sure it's gonna take them like years You know to just get back to where a Lakers status But as of now the closest and the fastest way you get back to that championship is keeping LeBron James
Starting point is 01:09:54 And do you think LeBron at this stage of his career wanting to you know? Go out on top would be interested in a trade from the Lakers or is he staying with the Lakers to build up that squad? To get over the hump, you know four games away. I Mean, I personally just don't see him leaving going to Dallas Random Intentionally, but they even make the playoffs. They don't even have a good roster Like they don't even they gave away some of their best players. That's why they didn't finish the season strong They gave away the like very important three and D players
Starting point is 01:10:28 And then you got you just thought you add it because you added a possible 30 game a night player that that was gonna Get you to the playoffs. No, you gave away important key. So they would have to you know what I think this is my opinion But they would have to go get go back go get them dues back go You know build the roster up before you even come to LeBron and say, hey, you interested? Because like right now, what is he going back to? But if you're the Lakers, you see Bronny's at SC. That's right down the street from Crypto.com Arena, better known as Staples Center.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Bryce entering his junior year, likely going to Campbell Hall in the Valley. So these two sons are going to be out here. They so so nigga you ain't going to business and the business to end on here and everything quarter is headquarter. It would have to be the business is out here. It would have to be such a big temp. It would have to be something like Dallas Cowboys would have to give him percentage of ownership and he
Starting point is 01:11:18 and that's still he'll still guess that yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It would have to be Ronnie getting drafted there coming in. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:31 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:39 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah the fuck? Yeah. He said, aqua blue. Green, forest green, electric green. Like, what the fuck is wrong with y'all over there? Pine green, pine green.
Starting point is 01:11:51 It's like, come on. This is funny. That ain't no legacy. Those are not legacy colors. Like, you guys. Yeah. And we just gave you a mural. Yeah, like, the face was kind of giant.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't get back kind of giant. Yeah They got a lake Nobody else said never spec to the artist you done amazing job Just a little puffy I'll never be the one to critique but as I'm looking across ad pristine ad like damn I like ad for real. Look at Brian was Freaky, I don't know. I said Prestine, AD, like damn, oh, is that AD for real? And then I look at Brian, what's up? Tricky. I would've said it, this don't look like me. Fix it.
Starting point is 01:12:30 No. Fix it. I don't see him leaving. That be looking like he's ate a bunch of gluten, fix it. I don't see him leaving, and if you're Lakers, like, you giving me Luka? Right. Mavs ain't, yeah, Mavs ain't coming out for Luka.
Starting point is 01:12:44 Then if that's a thought, right, I'm going to trade you to Dallas, then Kyrie, won't you just come here and leave Luka there? Yeah. Like why are we going to team up to be in Dallas when we can just come here? But maybe he said that to try to get the interest. That's what I was thinking. It's a little trick going on right now. There's people fucking with each other right now, obviously.
Starting point is 01:13:04 We got a couple more weeks until free agency starts. But what message are the Lakers front office sending LeBron by not pursuing Kyrie? Or, as I would like to think, they're behind the scenes, like, look, nigga, we're going to tell them we're not pursuing Kyrie. I mean, at the end of the day, you don't know what's...
Starting point is 01:13:21 They came out and said they're not pursuing him? They've said it. I mean, this is all reports. Everybody's usually kind of media people. But sources and all that other good shit. Like, the team's not going to come out and say that. Like, it wasn't good. If they say that, then it's real.
Starting point is 01:13:35 You know, I don't like sources anyway. That's just me. Like, that's just me making up shit. Yeah, because you don't, that's the one thing I hate about the media. I'm a source. Yeah. I am. Right?
Starting point is 01:13:43 I'm my own source. I didn't say it was an actual new source. The sources say, which is me. Sources. Yeah, because you don't, that's one thing I hate about the media. I'm a source. Yeah. I am. Right? I'm my own source. I didn't say it was an actual news source. The sources say, which is me. Sources. Yeah, sources says Katie and Booker wanted to be traded to LeBron James. Sources say. I'm the source that said it. Look out of here.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Tweets. People just want news, man. You know. How do y'all feel? And then show a picture of me making a joke and then Katy laughing. I just got the laughing part of it. Like, yes, he ready to laugh.
Starting point is 01:14:10 I feel like there's way too much snitching going on and I understand the 24 hour news cycle and the need to constantly put stuff out there. But way too much shit be leaking. And like when I was a kid, you read these articles, you wouldn't realize, there's only like three or four niggas that could have possibly leaked it. So it's really a game of clue.
Starting point is 01:14:26 Like, guess who? Guess who? Like, oh, okay, it's one of y'all. So, you know what I mean? It's either coming from the team side, the player side, agents doing whatever they're doing. But just trying to like, I'm pretty sure this is on more of the, I'll say the Kyrie side because he needs to pique Dallas's interest
Starting point is 01:14:46 And he needs to pique Lakers interest that oh these two are talking they're thinking about team him up. All right, uh, let me let me go ahead Make a play first. All right, so I'll see this more of a Nah, this could be a LeBron. It's gonna be a LeBron side to to say. Oh, yeah, you all seen Kyrie at the game Y'all see Kyrie at the game. You all seen Kyrie at the game, he tried to give you up. Ah, it's gonna be four people. We see Phil Handy pick up Kyrie last week, I believe in the Tesla. And that had people like, what the fuck is going on?
Starting point is 01:15:14 He's been training. He's been training with him since his trainer. Since his trainer. But what else does Phil Handy do? What's his day job? I'm just saying. Yeah, I can't just like, that's one thing I can say. That's how I started. I can train your ass every day
Starting point is 01:15:27 if you're in LA. We know that that's his trainer every summer. He watches the tape. They do the breakdown. We can put that narrative out. Yes, you know, KD and LeBron. I mean, LeBron and Kyrie.
Starting point is 01:15:43 They teaming up because they're going to be in the gym together this summer. But I could be your trainer. Like every summer. I could be your trainer for the fall, winterD and LeBron. I mean, LeBron and Kyrie, they teaming up. Because they're going to be in the gym together this summer. But I could be your trainer. Like every summer. I could be your trainer for the fall, winter, and spring as well. All you got to do is just be nearby. Got this nice facility. But what I'm saying is we can put the narrative that this is a possible thing that can happen for Dallas. Because all you do is just catch them at the gym at the same time, knowing that they already train together every summer because of Phil.
Starting point is 01:16:06 So, brings me on to my next question. Which big three would you rather have? LeBron, AD, Kyrie, or LeBron, Luka, Kyrie? Wait, say it again? Which big three would you rather have? LeBron, AD, Kyrie, or LeBron, Luka, Kyrie? I'm taking Luka out of there. I don't, you know I'm not even a big A-D fan like that.
Starting point is 01:16:25 I'm taking the first one. Okay, well, it seems simple. You got three guys that's dominant with the ball. Yeah, I don't need the three dominant guys. I'll take a defensive player who can catch and shoot and fake injuries or whatever the fuck he does. I'll take that. I'll take it.
Starting point is 01:16:41 Since we're on the subject of big threes, if you can make a big three with any current players in the league right now, who are you taking? Joker, Devin Booker, KD. For my big three? Yeah. I'm taking Joker, Giannis, and Steph Curry. I'm taking Joker, Ky Kyrie and LeBron. I Like that one too
Starting point is 01:17:11 Yeah, I got point guards. Yes, I got you honest and can't nobody stop him so I ain't worried He could stop yourself. It's real three. That's fine. Was that three on three or just that's what we're starting That's your first you got a boat. I'm sorry. We're starting with victory Yeah, I started my three-man game Yeah, I like mine, too Who was yours gonna be a Stefan Stefan Yannis pick and roll and Joker that's nasty Joker Yannis Joker with Steph Yeah, I use my three because they all play my three because they can all play off the ball.
Starting point is 01:17:46 Back screen, switch. I'm going to put LeBron in the post a little bit with Joker at the top. Yeah, I'm not worried about LeBron in the post. Yeah, but it's a distraction. It's a distraction. You've got to make a decision. 45-foot fadeaway by the time he's finished with that move.
Starting point is 01:18:04 You should let the chat vote. Well, let's see what the chat's going to do what the chat does. But this again, we got what? It's three on three? Like a three on three match? Well, that's like that. Or just five or just three. I feel like just three. Just three.
Starting point is 01:18:18 And if you got to add two more, you got to build nine around it. I'm all right. Steph ain't guarding nobody Here's a garden book around my group. That's cool Cooking you got they got a garden book around my group. That's true, too But you got two other players you could put it with the defensive stopper. I Got I got Kevin Durant. So they got a guard with Giannis on Kevin Durant and LeBron's on Kevin Durant LeBron's on Kevin Durant. Yeah, and then who going on three of Joker gonna guard Joker See the reason because I have joke but this is because I have Joker I
Starting point is 01:18:59 Don't need a point guard at that point. So now I'm just gonna get a big bigger steps So, you know, I get, I need, you know, Devin Booker who can play one-on-one, create his own shot, one-two, pull up. Then I have Kevin Durant that do the same thing,
Starting point is 01:19:11 but he can catch and shoot, he can catch and shoot. I just wanted all shooters because I have Joker. Now if you get rid of Joker, now I got to go, then I'm using your lineup with Steph and Giannis
Starting point is 01:19:24 for that pick and roll. I have a better Amari and a better Nash. Yeah. I like yours though. Yours is good too though. See how we all come together and unify? I think we all got a good team. No, it's all good.
Starting point is 01:19:36 It doesn't all depend. It depends on them last two. It depends on them last two. Them last two is tricky. Them last two get tricky. Yeah. Because y'all got to get centers and I got to get defense somehow. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:47 Yeah. True. So we got about 8200 people in the chat right now. Good. You know, once we get to 10K, it's going to happen. There's nothing you can do about it. May not be this season. Only way we get to 10K.
Starting point is 01:19:56 It will be this year at some point. The only way we get to 10K is if I don't know it's getting close to 10K. As long as I know it's getting there. Everybody get out. Like if it's a YouTube 99. Everybody look, I got to. I'll wear it. I'll wear it. Go to my individual channel. I'm it's getting there. If it's a YouTube 99, everybody look, I got to. I'll wear it. I'll wear it.
Starting point is 01:20:07 Go to my individual channel. I'm about to get on. I'll say something. We got about 400 people in the chat right now, Gil. I'm going to close out on Thursday. Thursday, I'm going to wear a bikini. But they got to. I'm going to get the people in the chat.
Starting point is 01:20:21 All the women in the chat, you don't want to see that. Uh-uh. It's men in there. I'm classy. I'll put an itty-bitty teeny-weeny bikini on. But as y'all all know, this show is brought to you by Underdog Fantasy. And Underdog Fantasy has looked out for us. They've given us a show, but they're also lacing everybody out there
Starting point is 01:20:40 with a special Gills Arena promo for y'all. So if you're currently signed up or sign up for underdog fantasy now, we're gonna plug you with a special pick them. Jamal Murray's higher lower will be 0.5 points. He get one bucket. So you automatically win. What? You automatically win.
Starting point is 01:20:56 Well, in theory, I don't think I can say that cuz I don't wanna get underdog sued. There's a lot of haters with gambling organizations that also watch the show. They're giving you one guaranteed pick. Got it. Yeah. And this is for the Wednesday game? Yep.
Starting point is 01:21:10 Oh, I'm bad, okay. You know, pick them haters out there. I'm picking, I'm picking. But if he scores at least one point, then you knock out that pick and you gotta do at least one more, up to five more. For me, I'm always gonna hit the five just cause. I love it.
Starting point is 01:21:21 I don't wanna say the name, but I saw a guy bet $1,400, pick 1,400 if Vincent scored more than 21 points or something and he got a shit ton of money. Can we just do one pick on ours? It starts at two. No, that's a gambling site. So we're not gambling.
Starting point is 01:21:46 We are picking, we are fantasy. I'm not a gambler. You know, like, it's not my lane. We are pickers. I don't know any of the lingo. Don't fall for gibberish like that. So that wasn't true. No, it's true.
Starting point is 01:21:59 But think about the outcome, right? What do you mean? The outcome of what that possible number is. So what you do is you just sit there and look at, it's math at that point, right? If I can just bet across the board on those type of players. Pick them across. Yeah, pick, no, this is not, has nothing to do with it. Come on, you talk about gambling.
Starting point is 01:22:17 This is a different thing that has nothing to do with it. This is a different thing. Has nothing to do with it. Okay. This is gambling. This is real gambling. That's not what we do here. Yeah, we don't gamble here. So I can just take like, let's say 1400 bucks to win 400,000, right?
Starting point is 01:22:30 All I do is just bet $30,000 worth of bets and cover all the biggest possibilities. One of them is gonna hit. So I can say, all right, Caleb is gonna score 20. Love is gonna score 10, 15, you know, and you just do all those possibilities, right? So you spent 20, 30K. And you only show your win.
Starting point is 01:22:47 And you only show the win, because that's all that's important. So you're plus maybe 100,000, which is a good bet. You just gotta find those anomalies. But that's why you gotta use underdog. That's why we do pick'em. Find the good pick'em. We don't gotta worry about shit like that.
Starting point is 01:22:58 Jamal Murray will not let the light-skinned community down. He will get at least one point. I can't guarantee it. My man going. But I see it. But let's talk a little bit about NBA finals, man. You know, after getting get at least one point. I can't guarantee it, but I see it. Let's talk a little bit about NBA Finals, man. After getting cooked in game one, and many out there expecting the heat to get swept, some people on this couch, perhaps even. Only one.
Starting point is 01:23:16 Only one person says sweep. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I said sweep. If they did get a win, refs. And that is true. The refs was terrible. That was three calls in a row that was so bad. I know. Like, really bad.
Starting point is 01:23:28 It's the only way. It's the only way. So, he moved Kevin Love back in the starting lineup. Game Vincent was cooking, but they also have five players in double figures. They let Joker cook offensively, but contained the rest of the team to stun the Nuggets in game two to steal home court advantage, heading back to Miami on Wednesday. Like I already said, the thing about the Nuggets, you don't got to worry about any of these dudes
Starting point is 01:23:50 going to the club in South Beach. A lot of squares on the squad, you know. Dweebs, if you will. Look at this. Oh, and look at Bam. Bam's been cooking. I don't know if y'all saw his comment. Then they asked him the weight of these finals,
Starting point is 01:24:06 and he was like, me and my mom was living off of 12K. What does that mean? He said when he was coming up, him and his mom were living off 12K a year, so that's much weightier than what I got to deal with in these finals. Oh, okay. Trying to figure out where their meals was coming from. I'm not tripping on having to guard Joker. Oh, okay, that's what that means.
Starting point is 01:24:24 Somehow 12K, okay. Here's my living off 12K. You're like, shit. I don't know what that has to do with guarding someone who gave you 44. Just the weight of the final. Just the weight of the final. It has nothing to do with it.
Starting point is 01:24:35 Just the weight of the final. So now the series heads back to South Beach for game three. We got to know, I hate numbers like this but I'm gonna read it because fuck it. We here and underdog is putting it on. Mm-hm. The team that wins game three of the finals after they're going, after it's tied 1-1 go on to win 80% of the time. So question for you guys, what did the Heat show you in game two?
Starting point is 01:24:55 What? What did the- That they need to play Kevin Love. What? Wait, come on. What did the... That they need to play Kevin Love. What? Wait, come on. What did he do? Kevin Wesley Love? His presence. He was the difference maker, Gil.
Starting point is 01:25:13 His presence. He should have been playing game one. He's the only one that knows anything about the finals like that. He dropped a cool six in the first quarter. He was two for nine, but he was two for six from three. Ten rebounds, one assist, two steals. This is present. I mean, ten rebounds.
Starting point is 01:25:30 Listen, all that shit sounds cool, right, from the eye test, right? All that shit sounds amazing from the eye test, right? You went big, right? You went big in the first quarter, which the game is finished in the fourth quarter, where Kevin Love was not playing at all. He has no stats in the fourth. They went small. They went small in the fourth quarter. You know, the same small lineup they went with in the first quarter that got, they got the ass whooped early, right? They went small in the fourth quarter. Duncan Robinson came in, had eight points in like three minutes to get them back to
Starting point is 01:26:03 the league because they was getting the ass whooped again Let's get an ass whoop again. Yes six and ten he two for nine right next game two for six from three But what I'm saying is for fit What Kevin love brung had nothing that you're losing? You're down eight when the fourth quarter start he does not play in the fourth quarter for his presence to be known But they took a lead in the first though, right? But that's six and ten. If you take that, I mean, next game, say he go ten and ten. That's a big difference.
Starting point is 01:26:32 That's somebody else. If you go ten and ten and lose by fifty, then you're going to be like, oh, we need to put Kevin. What I'm saying is, it's not, he wasn't a factor because he's down. In the third quarter, what I'm saying is when they make the comeback, when they make their comeback, Kevin Love is not on the court. They went back to the lineup that they start with every game. Right? This time, he hit threes. Like Duncan Robinson, who wasn't a factor in game one,
Starting point is 01:27:04 came in and hit threes. First of all, he hit the threes in Duncan Robinson who wasn't a factor in game one came in and hit threes. First of all, he hit the threes in fourth quarter. Duh, that's when I came back. That pissed me off. But that's what I'm saying. So it's the game changer was Duncan Robinson because he comes in the game when they're down eight and splash. But also, also them starting Kevin Love changed the game too.
Starting point is 01:27:25 We got a different lineup. Six and 10 is big in the finals. For not playing, he probably didn't know he was gonna play. No, he knew he was playing when they faked Caleb, when they faked Caleb being sick because they didn't want to make it seem like he got- I thought they said he had injury or something. No, he just did.
Starting point is 01:27:40 No, but Kevin Love- You have someone sick on the court around the team that can possibly get everybody else sick. Stop. Yeah. Right? Once he was warming up, okay, they just wanted to sub and wanted to make a reason.
Starting point is 01:27:52 Oh, Caleb was sick. Oh, got the altitude sickness. Now, it didn't do nothing to what they were getting killed with at the beginning of the game. Like, Gordon Haywood. I mean, Gordon. Aaron. He 5 for 7.
Starting point is 01:28:10 He's doing his thing still. You put a bigger lineup in to do what? Stop who? Yeah. Stop who? He had 44. That's fine. Because Kevin Love is too slow for him.
Starting point is 01:28:21 Kevin Love still had 10 rebounds, and that also helped Bam. Because if Kevin Love don't get those 10 rebounds, they don't win that game. What they did that nobody paid attention to is they stuck Jimmy on who? Murray. Murray. I bet you said that from the jump. That's the difference of the game. Look at the fuck with Kevin Love.
Starting point is 01:28:40 Like the narrative, oh, they went Kevin Love. The narrative, the eye test, the basketball IQ. You took Jimmy and you put him on Murray. The trained eye, if you will. You put him on Murray, which neutralized his ability to do what he wanted to do. Right? So all the switching and like that's what the change, the actual change was. You neutralized the guy who didn't look like he was going to be stopped.
Starting point is 01:29:09 So instead of having two players going off, now you just got the one. So you don't think a guy that's played in so many finals like Kevin Love is a big factor in this series? Not if he doesn't play when it actually counts. Like a guy that I'm like, oh,'re killing, you know, this guy's killing, Aaron Gordon's killing, you know, you, so I'm gonna take you off the bench, right? And then he's still five or seven, and then I'm putting you in in the fourth quarter
Starting point is 01:29:33 when we're down. It was almost like, just kidding. Right, what is it, you know, you're down. Like, I can say if, you know, I can say if Kevin Love came in in the fourth quarter, you're bringing Kevin in to start, so in to start so Gordon doesn't post up. Okay, he takes you off the dribble. Now you're on Joker and Joker's busting your ass.
Starting point is 01:29:56 I'm trying to figure out. But Joker, we got to leave Joker out of this. He's going to bust everybody's ass. No, no, he's going to bust everyone's ass for 20-something. He gave you 44. 41-11. 41. He's giving you 41, 11, 41. He's giving you 40 because of you are too slow for him or you're not big enough for him. So yeah, you you scored six and 10, but you're giving up a whole lot.
Starting point is 01:30:14 And then I put the group. They're using that narrative that that's why they won. It's a narrative. But I'm rolling. I'm rolling with the different. I'm rolling with the different lineup. But he got heated too. So I'm rolling.
Starting point is 01:30:26 Listen, I'm rolling with. Now that he gonna lose got heated six, too. I'm rolling with the – listen, I'm rolling with the – Now, he's going to lose, but – Did you change your mind? No, no. I mean, overall, I mean, he probably will lose the series. But, no, I think playing Kevin Love, a guy who's been in so many finals and experiences, they have a better chance just being out there. I think what the biggest thing happened is – the worst thing that could have happened to the Nuggets
Starting point is 01:30:41 is the way they won that first game. You come out like. They came out blazing. Like, you're chilling after that. Like, you think you done won the series. They were wide open. Miami was wide open in game one. Go look at that game.
Starting point is 01:30:55 They just missed. Yeah, it was players that. Flat out. 13-39 from three, I believe. Yeah, this next game, they were still wide open. Yeah. Because they weren't really guarding them. They were just kind of lazy getting there. There was a lot less effort in game two, a lot of bullshit and they just hit the shots. And the sad thing for Miami is that was probably the best game
Starting point is 01:31:13 I've seen them play in the whole playoffs and they still barely won. What I'm saying is it's you have Duncan Robertson who comes in who hits shots that you didn't account for. Other than that, they were getting their – Miami's getting their ass whooped again. Like, I don't – like, they're getting their ass whooped. And what Jimmy's great at is what he did in the last five minutes, right? Mm-hmm. Which was he – Closed. He closed about 14 out of the last 17 points.
Starting point is 01:31:43 Either he scored it or he assisted. And he played great D. Right? That was the thing. When you got to the last five minutes, Jimmy had 14 out of the last 17 points that he scored or created. Right? Other than that, Miami was getting their ass whooped
Starting point is 01:32:01 until Duncan Robinson came in and hit those shots. Right? Three, three, layup. Then shots. Right? Three. Three. Layup. Then they sub in Jimmy Nim. Three. Layup. And then they take on and move on.
Starting point is 01:32:12 Right? So, you know, Kevin Love to me, yeah, you can go big. You can put whatever big lineup you want in. At the end of the day, fourth quarter, if he didn't play zero minutes, then what the fuck are we talking about? Well, let's talk about playoff Jimmy a little bit. You mentioned he had to kind of shoulder the burden. Guarding Jamal Murray.
Starting point is 01:32:30 Scoring's been down a little bit. How does playoff Jimmy go back to being a playoff Jimmy? Because at some point, if the Heat want to win this series, his production on the offensive side is going to need to increase. Or do you think it doesn't? Denver's game plan is exactly what any coach is going to do. All right? You have one player. This one player creates the offense for everyone else.
Starting point is 01:32:59 This player is unselfish. Without this player, the rest of these guys can't function. So if he decides he's going to be unaggressive to make all these passes to all these unproven guys, I don't give a shit. I'm not going to say, oh, I'm going to now guard and do a whole game playing around Max and Gabe. That's who I want. I want them trying to score 20, 30 points. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:30 Why? I want them to do that. Like if Draymond Green, if we're sitting here and we got to sit here, I'm going to play Steph 101, Draymond Green score 40. If you're capable of scoring 40 for four games, be my guest. But I'm not going to sit there and say, oh, I'm going to protect. I'm going to sit here and start guarding some G League players
Starting point is 01:33:49 and then let Jimmy do his thing and go for 35-40. Yeah, you got to stop disrespecting. These are NBA basketball players. Yeah, he is so disrespectful. In the NBA finals. Listen, I'm not going to do a game plan for number 15, 14, and 13, and 12 on the team. You have to be an idiot. These are starters in the NBA finals.
Starting point is 01:34:12 These are starters. This is the NBA finals. This is at the highest, highest level. It gets no higher than this. So you better game plan for them. What? You got to game plan for the teammates. What's his name?
Starting point is 01:34:26 When the Lakers, when we was happy that he had 14 points in the fourth quarter. Lonnie Walker? Yeah. Imagine game plan. Did Lonnie Walker get your respect? Because Lonnie Walker had 14 points, you're going to now game plan for him? No, I want to see if you can do it every game. That's the point of being a pro.
Starting point is 01:34:41 But they have been doing it every game. Miami. They have been. But not according to him because he doesn't respect who they run into. No, they have not been doing this every game. Max, what did Max have? Zero. Now ten. You're averaging five. That first game was a dunk. Zero. That first game
Starting point is 01:34:57 was zero. It's not one player on Miami that's getting it. Zero. The dunking came off. Zero. What did he have last game? Ten. Averaging five. Do y'all know the average? I don't go by.
Starting point is 01:35:09 They had one good game, and now I'm. It's 5.5. Five. 5.5, 5.5. That's what those two average. Okay. It's one game. Seven for Strews.
Starting point is 01:35:19 Yo, is Tyler Hero coming back? Huh? Is Tyler Hero coming back? Yes. He said game three. That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. That was alleged, but now there's been another report that he might not come back at all So they lied in the last series. Oh, yeah
Starting point is 01:35:30 All right, let's let's just let's just let's let's be human beings here Human right? We're humans, right? Yeah close, right? We've had injuries, right? Yeah How can I be ready for game three? You ain't shot around then. But I'm not ready for game two? We're three days apart. It could be. 72 hours is going to do what?
Starting point is 01:35:54 You're saying, but what if they didn't want to just give him like some garbage minutes or something like that? It's 72. What the hell happened in my hand in 72 hours This is not glue. Right? I need 72 hours with a glue to stick Contact in that that he hadn't done contact in the Celtics series yet They hadn't cleared him for contact yet until like game seven or something Cleared for actual content, which means he hadn't even practiced with his own team. So, I mean, it's possible that you could.
Starting point is 01:36:27 So I'm not ready Sunday, but I'm ready Wednesday? Yeah, it's possible. Have you ever seen Mighty Ducks 2? Adam Banks, he came through with the, he could hold the stick. I'm not ready. You had to get that out. I'm not ready. That's one of my favorite movies.
Starting point is 01:36:42 I'm not ready Sunday, but I'm ready on Wednesday I'm not ready. I'm not ready Sunday, but I'm ready on Wednesday to play full. Or what? No, no, no. He's been doing practice or let's just say this. What if he was ready on Sunday and they was like, let's hold you to a Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:36:56 Playing at home might be a little bit more comfortable. Yeah. Anything's possible. Yeah. Because if it's like 80% healed, but we meet playing at home and the generation of the crowd is going to sit down and make it 100%. The magnetic force.
Starting point is 01:37:10 Here we go. Here we go. It's like the magnetic force of the hand. I don't know. I don't know. We don't know because they lie. If he was ready for game three, which means he was ready for game one. So I knew he wasn't playing game three because it just sounds stupid when they said it out loud.
Starting point is 01:37:26 I think if they would have lost game two, he'd be for sure game three. They might be stalling it just to... That means it ain't ready. Possibly. So you're trying to make me game plan for a dude. Yeah, yeah, but you should always just... I mean, you ain't even seen him play in a while.
Starting point is 01:37:42 I'm not worried. If he does play, he's going to come off the bench, right? He's going to come off the bench, play about 15 minutes. Who do I care? I'm Denver. Why do I care? Hey, man, we need to just see three of them things go in. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:53 I got to see three of them things go in, which is cool. Because based on your opinion, that's the non-Gene Lee player. That's a player that was actually drafted that has the potential now. I can say, listen, he would be a threat to me as a coach if he was playing in the Boston series, coming off the bench, playing 15, 17 minutes. Now you're telling me that he's going to come in
Starting point is 01:38:14 after playing game one? Two months ago, you come in now. I know it's Miami. I know he's going to be in shape. And then you're going to come in here in real-time Basketball and think I give two fucks about what you're gonna do tired Excited which means you're gonna be quick. You're gonna be so antsy Man, we're gonna run all my plays at you. Yeah, you be so disrespectful
Starting point is 01:38:39 Well, come on. We've been there before we've been there before this this listen This ain't no comeback to work and we ride. This is Grand Prix. If you ain't been. The finals. It ain't even know about the finals. You're going against guys who ain't missed nothing. You missed two months and then you're going to be in rhythm?
Starting point is 01:38:57 And it's the finals. The hand. You already know. Come on. She getting smacked. To be fair, we said the same thing about Andrew Wiggins. And he came back. He was solid.
Starting point is 01:39:07 Facts. Yeah. That's the only thing. But it wasn't a hand. But who do you go? Facts. Sacramento Kicks. But who is he playing against?
Starting point is 01:39:15 The Kings of Sacramento. What player? He wasn't guarding no Steph or no Clay. Who, Harrison Barnes? Yeah. Yo. Bro, I get a feel. Murray ain't giving him no feel.
Starting point is 01:39:28 Murray ain't giving him the feel. The only thing you're going to feel is me trying to score you the whole time. You know what? I will hit that hand, too. Every episode, somebody gets slandered unintentionally. Yeah, straight. Tyrone Hill a few episodes ago.
Starting point is 01:39:39 Tays are getting. Nobody told him to look like that. These men just minding their business. They're raised on being productive members of society. All I'm just saying is, like, my game plan is my game plan, right? If you're Denver, my game plan is, look, I'm sorry. They have three players who weren't drafted, right? I'm going to take this.
Starting point is 01:40:00 Let's take Jimmy Butler off and And then tell all of those guys. Get off. Make my team. Who's starting? Nobody. There's nobody on that Miami team that's starting on. Nah. Only Jimmy.
Starting point is 01:40:17 At the three, Jimmy's going against who? CP, Michael Porter Jr.? He'll start over Michael Porter Jr. Bam ain't starting over the Joker. Kevin Love ain't starting over Gordon. The two ain't starting. So what am I really sitting here talking about? I'm going to stick with Jimmy.
Starting point is 01:40:36 Jimmy, if you want to pass the ball to them and try to get 20 assists, do you. But there's no way I'm going fall for the okie doke and think gabe max duncan robinson is gonna keep playing the way they're playing if they do but think about this like i i hear what you're saying and it sounds like denver doesn't really respect them either based on game one and game two in my opinion but. But as you can see, they won game two. Cool. They won. So Miami is one of those teams where you let them linger and hang around.
Starting point is 01:41:12 You don't put them away. You can lose. So I'm not saying strategize or game plan, but you have to play them like real NBA players. Yes, you do. No, I don't. No, I don't. Yes, you do. You can walk around and lose. I don't. I have to issue. Do I don't know I don't know I don't you do know I don't lose. I don't I have NBA players.
Starting point is 01:41:29 Yeah, he is so I have NBA players. This is a series if those guys how many scored double digits for the head if four played well, okay, you got game one with those guys play well the next game. No. Right. I'm having guys who's not even performing right now. We're losing by three.
Starting point is 01:41:47 Michael Porter Jr., who averages, what, 18 points. He scored five. We lose by three. Murray didn't play well. We lost by three. You're right. That's what I'm saying. But you don't want that to keep happening. I am not. You don't want it to sneak up on you. We'll see. The only way you sneak up
Starting point is 01:42:04 on me is if Duncan Robinson scores 20-something a game, Max scores 20-something a game. Gabe has actually been the second best player in the playoffs, period. Yes, he is. Right? Do I think Bam is going to keep scoring 20? No. He can.
Starting point is 01:42:18 He can. No, he can't. Yes, he can. There's nothing in his resume that's going to keep saying. He can, though. At the end of the day, y'all haven't realized the one big thing. Just like Golden State, the other team don't shoot free throws. They're not free throw type of, like, Bam don't want to get hit. Max don't want to get hit.
Starting point is 01:42:44 Duncan Robinson don't want to get hit. Max don't want to get hit. Duncan Robinson don't want to get hit. So at some point in time, the game has to be played, right? So if one group is beating up on the other group down low, same thing what happened to the Golden State Warriors, right? The free throws is going to kill you. Yeah, the refs can sit there and start blowing the whistle on little threes and, oh, there's a three, shoot three free throw. They did that shit, right?
Starting point is 01:43:06 But at the end of the day. They are a better team. He shot two free throws game one. Game two, they shot 20, went 18 for 20, shot 90%, but the Nuggets shot 22. Yeah, 20. I wouldn't let Bam play one-on-one against Joker. Yeah. He can get 20 easy.
Starting point is 01:43:21 Give me. Yeah, he can. 20 on. Just come down off the wing and let him go. He's going to give you 20 doing what? Shooting jumpers. Not necessarily. I mean, if they're 13, 15 feet, I mean, he can make that.
Starting point is 01:43:36 Inside there, yeah. At the end of the day, I'm looking at consistency. That's what this game is about. Seven games is consistent. There's going to be a game that might be, there's going to be a team that might be hot one or two games. But that's why it's seven games. It's not who's the first one to one.
Starting point is 01:43:54 Right. Anybody can win one game. And don't confuse. I think that, I call this a gentleman's sweep, but I'm saying you can't allow a team that you're better than to excel the way they did in game two like you just can't allow it that means they didn't excel yeah they did they hit all the same wide open shots they had in game one they hit all you cannot keep leaving them open you have to actually
Starting point is 01:44:16 guard them who who hit shots all of them duncan roberts the shots duncan robertson hit wasn't open not him but no he did no he did hit open shots. He did. And let me tell you, because I had him picked to not get eight points, so I was watching him like a fucking... But he coming off, picking, I mean, he's coming off, shooting behind the screen, shooting... No, but he was... No, but it was... Six feet behind the...
Starting point is 01:44:36 But, yeah, Gabe Vincent four for six, Strews four for ten, Kyle Lowry was two for three, Duncan Robinson was two for three. That's great. K-11 Butler. That's great. That's great to me. Miami's a good. That's great. That's great to me. Miami's a good shooting team. That's great to me.
Starting point is 01:44:48 They shot almost 50% from the three-point line. Thank you, I didn't even know the percentage. What I'm saying, they shot almost 50% in game two, like 33% game one. That's great. What do you feel like you're gonna see? Are you gonna see more at 50%? Because in game one, like you mentioned,
Starting point is 01:45:00 they missed a lot of open shots. They just tripped off a lot of open shots. They was nervous too. I think they was nervous. It's game one, it's game one. It's game one. Okay, let's just be honest here. One play, what did Duncan Robinson have?
Starting point is 01:45:13 10. It was two for three from the three. Two for three from three, three from five? And two layups, yeah. Four for five from the game. Four for five. How many minutes? 17.
Starting point is 01:45:22 17 minutes, which means the other, how many minutes? 17. The other what? 13 minutes he wasn't worth shit. He didn't even play. I know. No, what I'm saying is he didn't, the other 13 minutes he didn't do shit. Everyone's out in the beginning, the top of that fourth quarter when he catches fire.
Starting point is 01:45:46 Right. So he catches fire quick. He has a quick 10 quick points. Yes. That changed the game. Yes. The quick 10 points. Other than that, they're getting their ass whooped.
Starting point is 01:45:57 Killed me. They're getting their ass whooped. They're not getting their ass whooped. They were down eight. No, but there was a point where the heat was up, what, 15, 18, then the Nuggets went up. Yeah, they went back and forth. But when the Nuggets had that five-point lead
Starting point is 01:46:12 and they never went further, they lost the game right there. That's when that shift happened. They never finished the game. They never, like, put them away. No, it's not that. They were up eight when the subs are in, the starters aren't in, when Duncan Robinson comes in and Changes the game. Yes, I think junk was still in the game at that point. You have to at the beginning of fourth
Starting point is 01:46:31 They've been Murray. Yes that he Murray name was out But I'm saying he's coming in if that the game changed in a three-minute span Because you didn't game plan because you didn't think that they would hit shots because you were just like oh One player coming in changing the game your game plan has you up eight. Your game plan has you focusing on everybody. Like nobody's a nobody in the finals. You can't think like that. It's a run.
Starting point is 01:46:55 But I'm not going to sit there and focus on a guy who hit, he played 17 minutes. I say focus. He hit 10 points in three minutes. I'm not going to game plan for a player. I mean, you should. I mean, back at home, you know, they're going to. No, you're know you're gonna say oh when he comes in, you know, he's gonna hit shots Put your hand up, but I'm not gonna change my whole defense because I die
Starting point is 01:47:12 You just you advance it you you make it better. You have to you're playing a different he said yeah, I'm not doing nothing different I'm sorry I'll tell you one thing Miami gonna come out shooting that thing at home. Who? All right. When they on, they on. All right. Because Miami's a good arena, too. Good arena to play in.
Starting point is 01:47:31 It is fun. And it's bouncy. I've probably been to more Heat games than all Hawks. But those two arenas. I'm worrying about my own team offense. And I got to figure out how to get Michael Porter Jr. going. You know, he had five points. Well, hopefully he didn't go out in Miami. What I'm saying, my own team offense, and I got to figure out how to get Michael Porter Jr. going. You know, he had five points. Well, hopefully he didn't go out in Miami. What I'm saying, he had five points.
Starting point is 01:47:50 We lost by three. My guy who averages 18 had five. My guy who's averaging 28 last series, he only had 18. So I'm worried about my offense. I really don't give a shit what these G-Leaguers are doing. We'll see on the road. What these G-Leaguers are doing. I don't really care what these G-Leaguers are doing.
Starting point is 01:48:03 He's so disrespectful, dog. All right. I don't care what these G-Leaguers are doing. I don't really care what these G-leaguers are doing. He's so disrespectful, Todd. I don't care what these G-leaguers are doing. All right, so let's keep this thing moving. Steve Kerr was on Draymond's podcast, Breaking Down Game 2, and had this to say. I haven't talked to Spoh or anything like that, but I can see them in their coaches' meetings saying, Murray's the head of the snake.
Starting point is 01:48:23 Not Jokic. If you just look at it, you go, well, Jokic is the head of the snake. You know, not Jokic. Like, if you just look at it, you go, well, Jokic is the head of the snake. When you play a team, you sort of realize, wait a second, that guy's going to – he's going to dominate no matter what we do. So we got – this is the head of the snake. And I think they just decided Murray's the guy we got to stop. So you start Love, put Jimmy Butler on Murray, and then you saw, like saw they were blitzing Murray quite a bit and
Starting point is 01:48:47 really trying everything to take him out of the game. You know, you mentioned... And it worked. Exactly! So do you agree with Curry's assessment that Jamal Murray's the head of the snake? Yes. There's always been. That's why they never went anywhere, because the head was never there.
Starting point is 01:49:04 He was injured so many times. That's why they never flourished. I head was never there. He was injured so many times. That's why they never flourished. I hear a lot of people talking shit about Jokic and saying, oh, he ain't done shit. Why would you put him on your team? I haven't put him in the top five of this year. He hasn't done anything. I said, well, it's not like he was playing with somebody.
Starting point is 01:49:22 Every time it was time to go to the playoffs, it was time to get it done. Murray was injured and that's really who he needs. Like that, Jokic is gonna get his numbers. No, that's right. That's what I said. The key to the game was when they put Jimmy on Murray. Hasn't done a fucking cup of love. Yes, Miami won that game.
Starting point is 01:49:40 So do you make that- Hell no. At home? But do you make that sacrifice for game two, three, knowing you're gonna lose Jimmy's offensive production to try and shut down Jamal Murray. What do you make that sacrifice again for game three? Yes, because defensively you you can't put those guards on him for sure So you're gonna put your bit but Jimmy's losing his offense anyway, because my defense is is is programmed for him I'm guarding him
Starting point is 01:50:02 I'm worried about him if B Bam wants to be, listen, if Bam wants to go for the MVP, do you. I'm looking at your trajectory. You ain't you. This ain't you. So if you want to play out of body, for them to win, they have to do something they've never done before,
Starting point is 01:50:20 which is that's what I want. I don't want Jimmy to do what Jimmy does. A average 35. You got 15, he gave you 16, he gave you 13. I don't want that. I'm going to try to get him to 18 to 22. Now, you've been averaging 9 your whole career. Now you've got to average 25.
Starting point is 01:50:39 Hey, good luck. Good luck, I want to see it. I want to see it, but I'm not going to let you get 35 and then you still get your nine. No, no, no. You have to take over Jimmy's position. I mean, hey, I mean, listen, this is the last year, so you might as well be playing out of, you know, shit out of your mind. I want you to, I want you to, that's what I'm, I want, I want them to keep trying to
Starting point is 01:51:04 replace Jimmy. That is the point. Keep going, Max. You keep taking shots. Duncan Roberts, you want to keep trying because Jimmy's being done? You've done that before. When you get doubled in a game and then this guy, oh, she didn't double.
Starting point is 01:51:18 Let me go ahead and take my shot. Eventually, what ends up happening? Get your ass toasted. We'll see. The guy's cooking. You don't. One game. I'm not worried about listen. They gonna be shoot well at home 27 What a Caleb do 27 right 27 Right. That was that was just 27 all about to win the MVP and all that it whoo MVP zero three normal. He's back to normal
Starting point is 01:51:44 He's back to normal. He's back to normal. Okay, got it. Yeah, he had a great year. Oh, he's 20, 20, 20. Oh, he's the MVP. He's dishing that. Next year, he's zero and three. I don't...
Starting point is 01:51:53 All that foofy foof shit that everyone be, I don't go on. I don't do that, man. I played basketball. I know when to do. He wasn't the MVP of the finals. He was the MVP of the Eastern Conference. They were trying to make... But that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:52:06 I don't jump out the window for goofy stuff like that. You think a seven-game series? I know when my team. Would he average 20? 22. You think that's goofy to average 22 in a seven-game series? That's not goofy. Goofy to jump on.
Starting point is 01:52:21 That's not goofy. No, I'm sorry. He averaged 19. Yeah, 19.5. You have a 19. That's still not goofy. That's what's up That's not goofy. Yeah, y'all y'all Okay, cuz if you have 19 you had some 20 years of no, no, no just 18 26 was his highest. That's good Yeah, that's not goofy to me cool. He's getting MVP and everyone's celebrating 60% shooting though 50% would it Murray average last series?
Starting point is 01:52:45 There was no Western Conference mention. And he averaged more than both them two on Miami. But nobody... We already know that Denver's not getting any press. Nobody wants to talk about things. So why am I excited? Because a dude who... Not exciting.
Starting point is 01:52:59 That's the problem. No one expected... Jamal Murray was 33, 6, and 5. He averaged 33, six and five. Who won Western Conference MVP? Not Jamal Murray. Jamal Murray, and what did Jamal average at? 33.
Starting point is 01:53:15 33. Six and five. 33, six and five. And there was not a discussion on who was gonna win. And you telling me I'm supposed to be happy about dude who averaged 19? Oh, because he was terrible. We don't expect this. And you telling me I'm supposed to be happy about a dude who averaged 19? Oh, because he was terrible. We don't expect this.
Starting point is 01:53:29 And he did something out of body. Exactly. Exactly. Now he's back to regular body. So you don't want that Zero and three. You don't want that to be the reason
Starting point is 01:53:35 that you lose a championship. Zero and three. I'm good. I'm just saying. I would feel like shit if I underestimated. 1.5? Imagine losing the series
Starting point is 01:53:43 when you're called a G League roster. Like, imagine that. That's embarrassing. Imagine being in a locker room, right, as a coach, right, and you got a guy who's averaging 1.5, and you're trying to convince me as a player that we need to have a whole game playing against this dude. Nobody said that.
Starting point is 01:54:01 You putting words in everybody's mouth, Gilbert. I got Jimmy Butler right here. Stop Gilbert. I got Jimmy Butler right here. Stop it. I got Jimmy Butler right here, and then he passes the ball right there, and I run over there like he's Curry. Stop it. Stop it. I think you got to respect everybody on the floor.
Starting point is 01:54:14 I do, too. Oh. I do, too. Okay. I think you got to respect everybody on the floor. I respect every opponent. Every opponent. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 01:54:22 Gilbert, did you say that you have a trained eye when it comes to basketball? Yep. Okay, so after the games, Bo took issue with the question about turning Joker into a scorer or passer. Please. Final question on the left. Hey, Coach, Ramona Shelburne, ESPN.
Starting point is 01:54:36 This is probably oversimplifying things, but sometimes when teams play against Jokic, you turn him into a scorer, you turn him into a passer, and he controls the game. He only had four assists tonight. Yeah, that's ridiculous. You know, it's just, that's the untrained eye that says something like that. This guy's an incredible player.
Starting point is 01:54:56 You know, twice in two seasons he's been the best player on this planet. You can't just say, oh, make him a scorer. That's not how they play. They have so many different actions that just get you compromised. We have to focus on what we do. We try to do things the hard way
Starting point is 01:55:17 and he requires you to do many things the hard way. He has our full respect. Thank you. Thank you, Coach. There you go. Frustration. Because it's dumb as shit. the hard way. He has our full respect. Okay? Thank you. Thank you, Coach. There you go. Frustration.
Starting point is 01:55:29 Because it's the dumbest shit. You got to sit there and answer narratives that just doesn't even make sense to actual basketball knowledge. So were Spoh's comments really a big deal or was he just trying to stop potential bulletin board material for the Nuggets? No, it's truth. Like, you're saying because he had fucking 44. 41.
Starting point is 01:55:50 41, 11, or 4. Now, no one's going to say, like, oh, yeah, because Kevin Love was on him now. Like, no one wants to say that, right? The reason he had 41 is because you got someone slower on him. Amazing. Right? You're not going to say that. So it becomes the narrative, oh, we were just letting him score.
Starting point is 01:56:04 So we put Kevin Love on him, and then we're just going to guard everybody else. No, that's not how that works, man. He realized, chicken food. It's chicken food. Back up. Back up. Okay, love slander. I'm cooking.
Starting point is 01:56:18 Like, why am I not going to sit here and cook? Why are we playing off, and you just put someone who can't guard me? So I'm going to cook. That's fine. I not going to sit here and cook this? Why are we playing off and you just put someone who can't guard me? So I'm going to cook. That's fine. I'm going to cook. Keep scoring. But long as you can't do all this, that's fine. Because there is something to the fact of everyone not getting off from his assists.
Starting point is 01:56:37 There is something to that. That's how they play. That's the game plan. Let's make him a scorer. That's not a game plan. We're not going to go. Here, we're going to put Kevin Love out there so you can feel like go ahead and go for 50 and still lose.
Starting point is 01:56:47 As long as you ain't doing this, because these right here get them going. When he getting them back doors. Those four assists were Jokic's low for the playoffs. Just like, I know that's cool. If I'm cooking you, I don't want, what am I passing for? What was the stat they said? They're eight and one if he gets more than 10 assists. That's cap. It's true. That's a dumb. That's it because if he act that has to be false
Starting point is 01:57:09 It's not that has to be that has to be a false stat Why he averaged a triple double damn near a triple double for the season? So you're saying they're only in playoffs playoffs playoffs playoffs. Yes Playoffs the only game they yeah lost, which is this one, is when he didn't. Wait, didn't he have like 14 straight playoffs? I mean, he had 14 straight triple doubles. No, I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:57:32 Oh, so he's eight and two, I think, because the game's against Phoenix, he had over 10. So he had no triple doubles against? No, apparently not. If they saying it's eight and two. You can have 10 assists without, you know, you gotta have all the doubles.
Starting point is 01:57:49 Yeah, so game four. That's a game plan. That is a game plan. 11 assists, four boards. Don't let them get over 10 assists. And don't let them come in here getting these. Everybody's getting off like your whole team is rocking. The 10 assists is the problem, one,
Starting point is 01:58:02 because he's having 10 and Murray's gonna have six or seven. If he has 10, that's 20 assists. That's what I'm saying. That's a lot of points. But to say that we purposely let Kevin Love get his ass busted for us to win. You won because fucking Duncan Robinson came in and hit some shots. But you're not sending K-Love and Bam in there with the expectation that, oh, they're gonna
Starting point is 01:58:23 lock up Joker, right? Nobody. Oh, we just gonna contain. We just gonna do what we gotta do. Nobody can do that. But you're not sending K-Love and Bam in there with the expectation that, oh, they're going to lock up Joker, right? Nobody. Oh, we're just going to contain. We're just going to do what we got to do. They're going to get cooked. Nobody can do that. K-Love, I need 10, 15 rebounds. What I'm saying is, if I'm slow, they're going to get cooked.
Starting point is 01:58:33 Listen, if I put Kevin Love in and Kevin Love held him to about 21, then yeah, Kevin Love was a factor. But the fact that he actually exploded because the dude was too slow I'm not I can't you can't give credit to that That looks great. That looks great in the paper But we took away the we took away one of your one of your greatest things that you do is pass the ball You know you took you you took you didn't take away because I'm locked in I'm lucky. I'm getting the point You're you're you're, you're,
Starting point is 01:59:06 what you did, like, it's like you're changing two ingredients and you're trying to give one ingredient the key. When Jimmy Butler on Murray was the key, you took away Murray's scoring ability, which helps everyone else. So you took, that's what you took away from me.
Starting point is 01:59:25 You didn't take away Joker's dominance because at the end of the day, if he has 50-something, if he's scoring 50-something points worth of stuff, he's still getting to that. That's to say you're taking away, you're taking away, you're not, okay, you're taking away Kobe
Starting point is 01:59:41 and letting Shaq do what Shaq is going to do, knowing Shaq can't shoot free throws at the end of the game so I don't really have to worry about that. We're not even doing the show tomorrow, huh? Yeah we are. Watch party. No, but the daytime show. We're going to talk about all this in the watch party though.
Starting point is 01:59:55 No, because Rashad is in the chat. Yo, so how did they game plan for you in the playoffs? Knowing that you're a scorer, right? So what were they taking away from you in the playoffs? Like when guys, when you're in the playoffs, serious, what was the game plan for you in the playoffs? Knowing that you're a scorer, right? So what were they taking away from you in the playoffs? Like when guys, when you're in the playoffs, what was the game plan against you? Let them score? I don't know. And don't let them pass.
Starting point is 02:00:14 No, they're just trying to stop me from scoring. Because our offense was built for passing and backdooring. So you can't stop me from scoring because I'm a one-on-one player. So I can't stop me from scoring because I'm a one-on-one player. So I can break the offense and go at you
Starting point is 02:00:29 by yourself. So, you know, trying to contain me from scoring is what they were trying to do. So they put all big guys on me. They were running doubles. They were doing all that, but it didn't matter. We've done, we've, I played against LeBron. We played against him. So the scouting report,
Starting point is 02:00:45 first that started off is, all right, don't let him pass. Well, how do you not let someone pass that's passing? Right, it's not like, it's not cool. Oh, we're gonna let him score. What the fuck does that actually mean? All right, hey, go score. Go get a guarantee two points. Look at, what I'm saying, did you understand what I'm saying?
Starting point is 02:01:05 You see how it just sounds? Like he went from 20 to 40. So whoever he didn't pass to, he got the points anyway. But, but the difference is like if I'm playing in a game and you get 40 and I got seven, I didn't get off. And when I am open, I can't hit that shot because I'm not in rhythm because you're not passing to me like I normally get. Even if you're missing, you're getting shots.
Starting point is 02:01:28 That's a way of finding your rhythm. So if you're not even getting those shots, you kind of stifle everybody else from their rhythm of what they do. It's tricky. If between me and you averaged 40 and I got 41, I just did your job. Nah. That's... Not when...
Starting point is 02:01:45 If you tell me not... If you tell me not... Okay. But you didn't win, though, right? As a person that has never been you, I can tell you that if I can't... I can't hit a shot
Starting point is 02:01:56 that you need me to hit if I haven't shot the ball. I don't need you to hit it if I'm taking over your role. There's going to be moments where you will need someone to score besides you. They're wide open. Okay, but I'm taking over your role. No, there's going to be moments where you will need someone to score besides you. They're wide open.
Starting point is 02:02:06 Okay, but I'm taking over your role. No, you can't take over somebody's role. If we combine for 40 points, right, no matter how it is, 25 and 15, right, if it's 40 points and you have zero and I have 40 points, we are even. We might need to have more than 40 to win the game. But what I'm saying is we're even as a group.
Starting point is 02:02:24 But just because you're even doesn't mean that's what's going to win the game. You might need – we might need to meet 43 in that game. So another three has to come from one of us. But your role is already complete. It's someone else who fell off. If the game isn't over, if there's – like you said, if we average 40 together and it's 14, 15 seconds in the game, you don't get the shot and I get it, I can't hit it.
Starting point is 02:02:49 That's just a shot you didn't hit. That has nothing to do with it. Because of our program and the way we play, I'm usually getting five, six, seven, eight shots in the game. I didn't get them now because you got 40 and I got zero. So now when it comes down to that point in the game where they locking you up, now you can't get that 43. You got to pass to me. I got zero. So now when it comes down to that point in the game where they locking you up, now you can't get that 43. You got to pass to me.
Starting point is 02:03:08 I'm cold. I'm not in rhythm. But that's not – you didn't force me to ice you out. No, I didn't say you forced. Like when Kobe scored 81, right? How many people didn't get the ball? Yeah, but you didn't – You didn't – oh, we just want Kobe to score 81.
Starting point is 02:03:22 That can't get mad at them. What I'm saying is I don't want you – This is a close game. You need everybody oh we go. We just want to get mad at Everybody as long as the points are being got and it doesn't matter who they come from If we have enough not if it's not enough 41 and they lose that was three points because someone on the other team did something that they don't do But like you're trying to give credit to a defense when they didn't stop the guy at all because someone else scored. Is what I'm saying. Someone else did a job that we didn't think they were going to do. Duncan came in and hit four shots that we didn't think were going to happen. But Duncan is a shooter. But he's a shooter. I expect that. But he's been averaging four, three to four points every game. So he has 10. That's an
Starting point is 02:04:04 anomaly that I didn't expect. Now you talking about three, he been for three to four points every game. So he has ten That's that's an anomaly that I didn't expect now you sum out three he been averaging three for win He hasn't even been playing Duncan He was the one taking those shots that made him loose in game six but he's He's taking those same shots, yeah, but right now I just feel like it don't matter what your numbers are. If you ain't winning, it don't matter. So I feel like they did a great job. I play numbers.
Starting point is 02:04:30 Duncan Robinson in the playoffs this season, 9.1 points per game, two assists, 1.5. That's his average. That's his average. That's three threes a game that he's going to hit. Last series. The person that's killing me. You sure you want the last series?
Starting point is 02:04:44 Yes, we do. 11.4 points per game. Okay, so he didn't do nothing. Yeah, he did. He did what he does. He did what he does. So the person that's killing me really is Gabe. Yes.
Starting point is 02:04:54 That's the person that's actually killing me. 11 points in the playoffs is huge for a shooter. That's big. You know how. Sorry. He scored 10. We're not him. But shot 48% for three.
Starting point is 02:05:04 You know what? You too. He's averaging five for the. He's averaging five. He's averaging five, right, for this series? It's the moment. Because a dude had 10 points, y'all want to jump out the roof.
Starting point is 02:05:15 He's been doing his thing, though. It is his average. So 11.4 in the Eastern Conference Finals. In the finals so far through two games, 6.5 points, one assist. He's averaging six points. I'm good. Okay, off two games. Come on.
Starting point is 02:05:26 Off two games. Shot 48%. Shot 48% in the EF. Shot 46% in the finals. He's averaging six. He had 10 one games. Oh, God. Now, Gabe.
Starting point is 02:05:36 Now, I'm going to show you who the pepper is killing. Now, go to Gabe. That's who's killing me. Gabe been cooking all playoffs, though. No, this series, he's cooking. No, he didn't. He's cooking. He's killing me in this game. So, Gabe V. No, this series he's cooking. No, he didn't. He's killing me in this game. So Gabe Vinson in this series, 21 points,
Starting point is 02:05:48 four assists, one rebound. Shooting 57% from the field, 56% from three. That's who I need to focus on. No, he's killing me. In Eastern Conference Finals. He's killing me. Eastern Conference Finals, he was 16, two and two. He's killing me.
Starting point is 02:06:01 That's five extra points. He was shooting 48% from the field, 51% from the field. That's the same. That's five. Look at the field, 51% from the field. That's insane. Look at the shooting though. That's five extra. That's five extra. I lose by three. I lose by three, right?
Starting point is 02:06:11 Everyone else is under. All right. Everyone else is under. Am I right? What am I saying something wrong? You can't let- Ten, five. Ten, five.
Starting point is 02:06:20 Bro. Bro. Hey, Rashad is in the group chat right now. He's going crazy. He said he's coming for you tomorrow. He can't wait. Rashad can in the group chat right now. He's going crazy. He said he's coming for you tomorrow. Rashad can't wait. He said he's coming for you tomorrow. He's coming for me tomorrow by the time the game will be on.
Starting point is 02:06:32 So there's really nothing. That's why I said we're not doing the day show. We're going to talk during the game. But make sure. He can't talk because he only likes one player. But that player's not getting off. But he's off the confidence coffee. Rashad will be on the show tomorrow.
Starting point is 02:06:45 He's really not a Miami Heat fan. He's not. He jumped on that bad wave. He's a Jimmy Butler fan and Jimmy Butler's not playing. What team did Jimmy Butler play for? He wasn't even really... You're a LeBron James fan. And we go wherever LeBron goes and we support that team.
Starting point is 02:06:59 He's a Jimmy Butler fan. He's not a Miami Heat fan. A small Jimmy Butler fan. So he's the... This is Rashada in the chat. I hope y'all remember all these takes Gil given right now. Flame on tomorrow. You tripping, tripping. No pushback. Broke a love baby
Starting point is 02:07:15 garden two times. You capping. If you pick it and you lose, none of it matters. LOL. So if Jimmy had 40 with confidence and he lost game one, so we're both even. We're both even right now, so what is the conversation? We're both even. They got their home court.
Starting point is 02:07:31 It's one and one. But we're going to find out tomorrow. He will be on this couch for our watch party. He lost the confidence or one would come. When he lost, did he have confidence then or not? We don't know, right? So we only win when we win. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:07:43 Listen, to be honest, Rashad, I'm not talking to you tomorrow about any of this. The reason is, the reason is, when you lost, you went ghost. He did. Correct? He did. He didn't text nobody. He didn't want no conversation. I don't want to hear nothing from you when you win.
Starting point is 02:07:59 That's not how confidence works. You don't Dylan Brooks us. No, he going crazy. You don't Dylan Brooks us. Yo, he going crazy. You don't Dylan Brooks us, baby. If you have comp, after game one, you should have been talking that shit. I don't care, we got guaranteed two games. You said that's why?
Starting point is 02:08:14 That's confidence. Yo, he going crazy. He gonna pull up. You don't want to wait till you win to start talking. I don't, nah, nah, nah. Whatever's going on. Because what I'm going to do is I'm going to go, so I don't want to talk either now. I do, I feel you on that. This ain't my team, I don't want to talk now. I feel you on that. Whatever is going on with you. Because what I'm going to do is I'm going to go. So I don't want to talk either now.
Starting point is 02:08:25 I do. I feel you on that. This ain't my team. I don't want to talk now. I feel you on that. This is Gil's arena, though. I don't want to talk. I don't want to talk.
Starting point is 02:08:31 I don't want to talk. I don't want to talk. Whatever. But whatever is going to happen, make sure y'all pull up to our watch party tomorrow, 7 PM Pacific, 10 PM Eastern. We're watching game three. I'm wearing a Miami Heat jersey tomorrow. I'm wearing a Miami.
Starting point is 02:08:43 You can't talk to me. I'm a Miami Heat fan. Now it's time for my favorite. Hold on, because to be honest, everyone knows I'm a Laker fan. I'm really not a Denver fan because Denver beat us. So technically, I don't really got a team. I'm just speaking sports. You're just going.
Starting point is 02:08:58 Now, I got the Miami shoes. I got Miami jerseys on. I'm about to wear a Wade jersey now. Tom, don't talk to me. I'm wearing way I'm a heat fan now We didn't hear this man, I thought what did I say today? What did I say? I said, anybody talk to Rashad? Didn't I say that? I said, anybody talk to Rashad? Anybody? Yeah, he was quiet, but he going.
Starting point is 02:09:27 We're going to see. That's why we got a show tomorrow, but now it's time for Mostly Fans. I'm surprised he didn't. He should have pulled up. Scary ass. I just wanted to walk through the door right now. Yeah, he would have walked through with that cup. All right, so first question comes from-
Starting point is 02:09:44 Is it from a shot? Comes from Carlo Yu. Who was the teammate you trusted the most when passing the ball to? All of them. You trusted your teammates? Yeah. Okay. That was the reason I passed it. Other than that, I wasn't passing it.
Starting point is 02:09:59 Teammates I trusted? Like to do what? To make... To give it back? You gotta put it in context. So there's some players that I'll pass to... I would imagine passing the ball to make a shot, but... Like if I pass it to him, I know I can get it right back.
Starting point is 02:10:14 I trust you to pass it right back to me. Like to hit a big shot, I'll say Antoine, then Karan. Like Antoine to hit a shot that's coming from me. What about Deshaun? For one-on-one, I'm giving the ball to Karan. So Karan was our third option only because of me. I put him in the third option because making him the second option, I wouldn't have no assist because he's an ISO one-on-one player, right?
Starting point is 02:10:42 So for me to get assists, it was from Antoine. So I was getting, if I had, if I averaged five, four of them was coming from Antoine. Now, if I wasn't playing, Karan was the number one option. And I, we draw up a play for him, he's hitting that. I probably have to go with like one-on-one player, Monte Ellis, for sure sure giving him last second shot Like players for sure. I know I can get assists from Andre Drummond Greg Monroe
Starting point is 02:11:11 And yeah, I think that's about it at that time So last question from Jarrell Franklin Is LeBron winning another championship before he retires? Miko start with you. Yeah Yeah, okay Ron winning another championship before he retires. Let me go start with you. Yeah. He is. Yeah. Okay. Has to. With the Lakers? I don't know. But he's chasing it.
Starting point is 02:11:28 He's chasing greatness. I know he wants to beat Jordan. I know he wants six. So he can just say, cut this shit. I got six now. Now who's the GOAT? I know he wants to do that. So in my opinion, I don't think he retires without getting those two.
Starting point is 02:11:41 Until he gets school. He wants them. I don't think he gets another one. I don't think he wants them. I don't think he gets another one. I don't think he catches Kobe. I don't think they let him catch Kobe. Just like how they didn't let Kobe catch Blank with the CP3 trade. Damn. That was just cheating though.
Starting point is 02:11:55 That was that deep? I think it's that deep in the scheme of things. Like, yeah, we gave you the record. You know what I'm saying? We gave you the scoring record. We gave you four rings. You came to L.A. But he just, you know, I think people just, like, the way he does it, like, he does it his way.
Starting point is 02:12:09 Like, when you do it your way, they're going to penalize you for it. But the problem with it is if he plays. I don't think the people are going to win. If he's playing four more years, he's going to get one more championship. Yeah, because he can go anywhere he wants to. Because every year he's trying to get a championship. And somebody wants to play with him. He's going to demand trades.
Starting point is 02:12:24 Yeah, if that's forced in. People want to play with him. But then that's just forced in. championship. So he's going to demand trades. That's forced then. People want to play with him. But then that's just forced then. Well, I don't care how it happens. I don't give a damn if he does what Durant did. Go to the Warriors. A chip is a chip. A chip is a chip.
Starting point is 02:12:34 Like I see people that. That bubble ring. I was listening to somebody. Hey, hey. I was listening to somebody. Don't do that. I was listening to somebody and they were like, well, this ring don't count because Draymond Green went out.
Starting point is 02:12:50 Who fucking falls that? Kevin Love and Kyrie went out. That championship counts for them. Some people feel like the Bucks championship don't count. Because it's 72 games. Because we have this thing that if everybody's healthy, those are the only, everybody got to be healthy for the... Then if that's how we're playing it, then how about this?
Starting point is 02:13:13 Most of the people from the 50s championships shouldn't count because there's no black people. So when black people came in, shit got changed. So all the white people who got championships back, you can see how we can do stupid shit like that. Come on, people. Let's just... Whoever wins it, it counts. Even Torontos. That's not how agendas work here.
Starting point is 02:13:31 It's not about being rational. It's just about pissing off the person that you, the fan base you're trying to piss off, you can make a static, graphic, whatever. Should we change the logo? The NBA logo? To whose? Like, should it be somebody else?
Starting point is 02:13:43 Like Kobe? Here's my thing. What was the logo before it got changed? That's fair. That's a good question. What was the logo before? Or was it just NBA? Was it no logo? Or ABA?
Starting point is 02:13:56 Was it the ABA? I mean there was no logo. It was ABA and NBA. So who was the NBA logo before they gave it to Jerry West? That's a good question. Might not have been one. Red A no no I'm sure yeah it was just a white circle yeah conveniently this at National Basketball yeah circle okay so from 1969 to 2017 now you change it you know they're not gonna change it to they
Starting point is 02:14:22 can't change it to Jordan. Because that logo is his shoe, so they can't change it to that logo. Having it as Kobe. You can get the same type of silhouette. LeBron. The fro Kobe though. Fuck it, make it Bobo. Fro Kobe.
Starting point is 02:14:47 It's one of those things is I'm pretty sure, you know, Jerry West being the logo is not something he wanted. I don't know. You don't think he wanted that? He didn't get a bag for it. He didn't get a bag. They just used the silhouette of it. I would love it. Change the logo and get a four point shot.
Starting point is 02:14:57 What I'm saying, what did you change it to? You really want the league to die. A four point, like, I mean, they shoot it from... Yeah, but that's going to be the goal all the time now. That'll be fun. A four point shot would be all right. There was a time with no three point line, so. We might as well just make the big man extinct then
Starting point is 02:15:14 if we gonna put a four point line in there. Man, I made the big man extinct. Make a four point line, but if you shoot it and you miss, they take a point away. Ooh. I'm just fucking around. That would be lit. That would be lit. That would be lit. That would be crazy.
Starting point is 02:15:26 It wouldn't be a lot of those. Man, whoever wins a championship, if he get a championship and he get one, he get one. So, that is our show
Starting point is 02:15:33 for today, but a reminder, we got a special show tomorrow, watch party, 7 p.m. Pacific, 10 p.m. Eastern, somewhere around
