They discuss if the Suns are fully cooked this season and debate the best landing spots for Durant this offseason, before reacting to James Harden changing the NCAA landscape by bankrolling his alma mater's NIL fund. Finally, they break down another masterclass in the Garden for Stephen Curry as the Golden State Warriors took down the New York Knicks and moved to 9-1 with Jimmy Butler in the lineup sparking a HOSTILE Gil's Arena Debate on if Butler saved the Dubs' season and brought them back into the NBA Championship picture. Starting point is 00:00:48 Whoa, whoa! Whoa, whoa! Because of the material, you can't cut them. We just talking about Gil's Zympic. Clothes not fitting no more. That shit crazy. Send them over here. Why you put that on me?
Starting point is 00:01:02 This is Zympic degree. What was he talking about? The ozippy side of the couch. That's me. I'm old school. I'm old school, baby. I'm like the 80s. Straight crack.
Starting point is 00:01:18 I'm just saying. See, that wasn't... I was having a conversation with somebody the other day. Or you could be like a functioning crackhead. Uh-huh. There's, there's, Mary and Barry wasn't a functioning crackhead. He was a functioning, yeah. Fucking functioning crackhead. Mayor of D.C. was a real live crackhead.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Half the 80s, half that? Yeah. Half the 80s singer. Yeah. Singers, look at them. Functioning. Like, one in the city. Wait, wait, I'm talking about crack.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Crack. Nigga that got the hard shit. He was on crack. You, wait, I'm talking about crack. Crack. Nigga, they got the hard shit. He was on crack! You smoke crack, don't you? He smoked crack. Boy, don't you smoke crack. Running the city. How you tell him off?
Starting point is 00:01:56 Toronto Mayor Rob Ford also on crack. Wait, what? Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was also on crack. Who that? Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. Absolutely. The producer wanted to let us know for bringing balance to crack usage. He definitely was.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Just relegated to a bit. Functioning crackheads, brother. That's the shit. Yeah. Canadians smoke crack, too. Yes. It is not universal to the hood. He freed this.
Starting point is 00:02:19 But this is Gil Zerino presented by Underdog. Woof, woof. As always, we got the legend Gilbert Redis here with us. What up, what up, what up? We got NBA champion of the world bringing his championship experience to this program. Swaggy Pete, Nick Young, back on the couch. And on this side, we got the bully from Oak Cliff, former number one pick, Canyon Martin. Good job.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Way to clap, everybody. See? Me and Canyon don't even have to check y'all. Me and Kane. I ain't even got to do one of these. Yeah. And representing Tough Crowd, Tough Crowd University, we got Mr. B, Brandon Jennings back here with us.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Come on! I like that. I like the sound effect. I like that. Okay. Yeah. Look here. He of the thing. I like that. Yeah. He was on first take all dressed up. See?

Our traditional version, mobile vertical version. Pick whichever one you want to watch. Just make sure you support the show. Here's what's cracking in the arena today. Crack.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Crack. Speaking of crack. LeBron became the first player to surpass 50,000 total points and oldest to win Player of the Month. Will Father Time retire before Bron does? Okay, it's a legitimate question.
Starting point is 00:03:35 He's still going. We're not talking about that. What? Go ahead. Finish your thing. What'd I do? Nothing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Some exquisite hosting? That's not it? Yeah. The Suns overcame a 23-point deficit to beat the Clippers, but an in-game exchange with Kevin Durant and head coach Mike Budenhoser had KD calling out the media for pushing false narratives. We will discuss.
Starting point is 00:03:55 And Steph got his 10th straight win in Madison Square Garden to move the Dubs into the sixth spot in the West. Did the Jimmy Butler trade save the Warriors' season? Okay, just want to make sure. Permission to proceed? Okay. Before we get into all that, as always, the show is brought to you

And we appreciate y'all for all the love and support of the show. All right, so let's get into it. Monday, Kyrie Irving suffered a season-ending torn ACL in the first quarter of the Mavs' loss to the Kings.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Tuesday, Ky was on IG Live and appeared to be in good spirits while giving his followers an update. It hurts. It hasn't been 48 hours since I tore my ACL, but the recovery process already started mentally, spiritually, emotionally. So just wanted to let you guys know I'm okay. And I will be okay moving forward. It does suck a lot. I ain't going to lie to you guys. It's, yeah, this one stings for sure.
Starting point is 00:06:18 But I have a great supportive system around me. I have incredible family members and friends. And I know I'm supported not just here in America, but internationally. And I'm not on this journey alone. The proper perspective, you know, I gave it all this season. I was giving it all, you know, starting in the summertime after we lost in the finals. You know, it's been a lot of change that's happened very quickly over the last month and some change um you know so i've been dealing with emotions just with that too um and uh i'll have time to kind of go deeper into those emotions when i have the the time but as of right now i'm gonna take it in stride i just wanted to tell you guys I love you, and I'll be updating you guys.
Starting point is 00:07:08 I don't know when, but I'm not going to get silent or try to run away from the pain or run away from telling you guys the truth of what's going on. You know, you guys are part of my journey and part of my process. So tough month for Kyrie, like he alluded to. Lost his hermano, Luka Doncic, traded to the Lakers. Thank you, Nico Harrison.
Starting point is 00:07:31 But obviously, torn ACL after that. Everybody on this couch has dealt with major injuries during your player career. What advice would you give Kyrie as he begins the recovery process for his torn ACL? No, he's doing it, man. He's doing it. Surrounding himself by positive people.
Starting point is 00:07:53 There's nothing that you can do about the other side of it now. Society of control, the injury happened. So you can't harp on it. If you do, then it's gonna linger in your soul. Like you said, mentally, like, that's the biggest hurdle. The physical aspect of it you will recover from through surgery, rehab, and this, that. But, yeah, now, as long as you are
Starting point is 00:08:23 focused on the other side of it and not right now, which you have to be. Like you said, it sucks. We all know it sucks. As long as you're looking at what it's gonna be after, what you're going through, then you'll be all right. But yeah, I wasn't here yesterday when y'all spoke on it either.
Starting point is 00:08:40 And we not, like you still... Yeah, I sent in, the people basically tried to allude to the increased workload and minutes that Kyrie were playing. Might have been a contributing factor to this injury. We're not going to do that, man. Like people. We didn't set time. No, we didn't.
Starting point is 00:08:55 We did, but other people did. Like, and it's right away. People that ain't said shit in a while and other folks trying to allude to the fact that because they traded Luka Kyrie was playing more minutes. He's playing the same amount. He's playing minutes, man. Like, guys get hurt.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Guys are playing 37, 38 minutes a night in this NBA. If he don't get bumped and his knee don't—we're not talking about none of this, so let's not start this narrative. Them folks are already under the gun, down there. Nika already under the gun. Yeah. Right? So now you just, people want to pile on now.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Oh, she riding him too much, playing him too much, and trading Luka. Shouldn't have never traded. We all know that, right? We all feel that. Some people feel he made a mistake trading Luka, this, that, and the third. But Kyrie's injury had nothing.
Starting point is 00:09:43 It's not a direct correlation because of how many minutes he's playing, man. Like, it's just not. Nothing to do with playing. He landed on his foot, lost his footing. No, the dude bumped it. If he don't get bumped, he don't hyperextend. Now we're not having this conversation, so it had nothing to do with the minutes that he's playing.
Starting point is 00:10:02 It was a dumb narrative that they were trying to push it. Which is why we did not push it on this program. We were discussing the group chat. Give people attention and calling people names and shit like that. But, no, we're not going to fucking do that, man. That shit ain't cool. Like, injuries happen. Injuries are a part of sports, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:10:20 We all done been through it. Freak shit. Some other, like, can't tell like, shit that's like my senior year, right? I go down, Huggs shouldn't have been playing and like, no, like, shouldn't have played the first game of the conference front. Like, no, no, you can't do that. Shit happens, man. Injuries are a part of sports, man. But in some instances, do that, like, a lot, like say the Derrick Rose situation, is that because of the coach?
Starting point is 00:10:47 No, wear and tear. Like you playing a lot of minutes and playing, you get tendinitis. You get fucking stress fracture in your foot. You don't tear your ACL because you, like, you strong. Them dudes trained. It's a freak movement. This man was strong as ox
Starting point is 00:11:05 when he tore like his Achilles you're not it could happen it can't like to anybody dudes as big like get out
Starting point is 00:11:13 that situation not that I'm talking about like being up 20 and Derrick Rose still playing shit like that nah that's
Starting point is 00:11:20 like because his is freak of nature type of stuff so like let's say ACL right a lot of females sports athletes Because his is freak of nature type of stuff. So let's say ACL, right? A lot of females, sports athletes, they tear their ACL because of the hips. That and this muscle, they fucking quad. Yeah, so their hips, the way their hips is lined, what happens is they knee bends in, right?
Starting point is 00:11:40 So over time, just from being little to wherever, at some point, if they are active, it's going to happen, no matter what they're doing. Because if they're not focused on tightening it up and doing the correct exercises to strengthen that knee up because of the default, then that happens. So just even as athletes, we have to understand our bodies, too, to understand the proper exercise that we've got to do. How we walk. Not like somebody bumped him. It was actually a foot. and our bodies too, to understand the proper exercise that we gotta do. How we walk, like, all of it, and the right. Yeah, especially if it's just, not like somebody bumped him, his,
Starting point is 00:12:08 it was actually a foot, he landed on somebody's foot, and then twisted, like somebody like Derrick Rose, where it's just a plant here, unless he, they already knew what his body type was, and really did prevention, then that would've happened at some point in time. So, I saw this doctor. He did a thing on Kyrie's injury,
Starting point is 00:12:29 and before we knew it was ACL, he listed, like, seven possible things that it could have been. ACL was one of them, right? It could have been his patella. He could have ruptured his patella. He could have quad. It could have been because of the way he hyperextended.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Like, it could have been anything. It could have been, like, a few thingserextended. It could have been anything. It could have been a few things. Ligaments, yeah, ligaments. It could have been a meniscus, the PCL. He could have tore everything in his knee. It's just fortunate that he just did the ACL, which is, we know medicine now, which rehab and all that. It's gonna be fine, but it could have been
Starting point is 00:13:02 a number of things. It had nothing to do with the meniscus. Yeah, I know that. Kyrie also reassured fans that he's not retiring, he's gonna be fine, but it's it could have been a number of things. Yeah, it had nothing to do with the ministry Yeah, I know Kyrie also reassured fans that he's not retiring. He's gonna come back. Yeah, you better I mean, I think for me too with my injury I was able to reflect on my life and wasn't the first time I was ever got hurt Like for a long time like you had to sit down So for me, I was able to reflect on my life and be able to you know see what was around me Was able to take a trip to China like different things So I was able to actually figure out who I was as a person during that time
Starting point is 00:13:32 So a lot of time to be able to reflect right now. He's with 33. I'll be 33. I think March Like like he got a lot of years. Hey, yeah modern medicine the way it is, you know So like that's a good like I remember when I told Kevin Durant after Kevin Durant Tours Achilles and I said Don't put this blame on the coaching staff Know yourself. This is the championship game If I erase your memory a hundred times god dammit, you're going to go out there 100 times.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Right? That's just the athlete in you. But I'm saying, don't use this as negativity. For you yourself, this is going to be the first time that you're out for an extended period of time. You get to admire what you've accomplished so far. So when you get back healthy, you can see where you want to go.
Starting point is 00:14:26 I said, unless an athlete gets injured, we don't know what we're doing. We're robots. We're machines. Since we started this, we do not know who we are. Nope. Like, we don't know the us
Starting point is 00:14:40 outside the basketball. We only know what we're doing. Training, eating, sleeping, this, that, playing, scoring 30. You got to erase that to do this. You got down to it. Like, we don't really get to enjoy nothing about our life. Like, I can watch highlights and don't remember none of it.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Unless it's like the big moments, game winning here. For the most part, I don't remember all my game winners. I don't remember people I dunked on and people who dunked on me. Because that's our our life So, you know with Kai is it's gonna be a time where he gets the process sit back shit if I'm him There's a 12-hour video of all your highlights. Just watch it watch that shit. That's just amazing. God damn it I'm sitting like I did it month. I thought I can guard him ain't no motherfucking way And that's you know, that's what happens until you you you know, when you retire, you're sitting trying to figure out how to.
Starting point is 00:15:28 But this is a time where you get to really reflect on how good you really are. And why people sit there buying shoes and celebrating you. And it's caught on film, God damn it. I can tell you that for damn sure. Yeah. So you were saying, so people that's not kneed are more likely to have ACL injuries? Because you were saying, like, the knees, man. Your knees kneed.
Starting point is 00:15:53 So if I was not kneeded, my shit would? Eventually, at some point. So anybody that run like this? Or bowlegged? Yeah. I'm bowlegged. Bowleg is out. You're training on the muscles, man, around. Yeah, so you have to train on the muscles around.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Everything around that knee. Because you can't change your structure. How about I say, you can't change the knock knees. No, but that's why you got to make sure you tighten everything that's full. We just want to send our love out to Kyrie Hope for a speedy recovery. Keep your spirits up, man. Keep your spirits up. Not to say this is the easy part, but everybody love out to Kyrie. Hope for a speedy recovery.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Keep your spirits up, man. Keep your spirits up. Not to say this is the easy part, but everybody's reaching out. Everybody's showing love right now. But obviously, it's going to be months and months and months. In two months. Yeah. In a month, huh?
Starting point is 00:16:39 I don't think that's tough at this age. They're not talking about you. They're thinking about you. That's when it's... For me, witnessing, like... I'm not saying he's not the same age as how Kobe was, but just seeing that... Is he going to be out for... Seeing the struggle with him, trying to get back.
Starting point is 00:16:52 But there's a difference. Like, Achilles is... It's a... Like, Achilles is something you got to jump off of. Yeah. Like, so if a football player ruptures Achilles, he can still play. Because he can go up and down
Starting point is 00:17:05 It's lift off right so you know Kai's injury. He's not really Lifting like that And then it's shown I mean over over over history so far, you know with the last 10 15 years ACL boys 2025 as a ACL it did he mother's coming back? But we're gonna sit in there Adrian Peterson was out motherfucking six months. He came back and won NFL MVP. Yeah. Off of, yeah, so.
Starting point is 00:17:30 With that injury used to be back in the day versus what it is now with modern medicine. It was career ending. It was career ending. That seems better now. That's not career ending like it used to be. Used to be, not at all. Like Achilles is the only one that's still. But even KD. What's with Meta had? No. Because he ain't never been predicated on this. Not at all like Achilles is the only one that's still but even Katie
Starting point is 00:17:52 Okay, cuz he ain't never been predicated on Katie. Yes. No KD was this leg. He jumps off this leg Okay, so that was actually rare. Usually it's your dominant jumping leg So it didn't stop Katie from representing with John Wall John Wall. It was his left leg, but he's a right leg jumper. That's why he likes dunking with his left. Because Clay's was what? Clay was all his strong leg. What was Medda's? Remember Medda came back a week or something like that? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:18:16 In the playoffs? Yeah, we, yeah. I mean, I'm just being honest. I didn't notice. There wasn't no agency. Probably, I think it was a meniscus. Meniscus. Something like that.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Meniscus. But I mean, his. You don't need that, man. His thigh't no agency. Probably, I think it was a meniscus. Meniscus. Yeah, meniscus. But I mean, his... You don't need that motherfucker. His thigh's so strong. You know what I mean? His thigh's so strong that he probably didn't feel it. Yeah, JR came back.
Starting point is 00:18:31 We call him motherfucker Wolverine. Who? JR? Yeah. JR came back like three weeks. Like, damn, Wolverine. Man, that motherfucker legs so strong. I don't need that motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I can do that for summer. I don't jump off that one nowhere. I jump off this other one. Like, okay. Like, dude, you know you... Who was the player who had two? Dennis one. No way. I jump off this other one. Like, okay. Like, dude, you know you. Yeah. Who was the player who had two?
Starting point is 00:18:49 Dennis Smith. Dennis Smith. Yeah. He had two. Two ACLs. He had two ACLs? Damn. Damn.
Starting point is 00:18:57 He didn't know it because he tore it. He tore it and went in there. He went in there to fix it. Like, oh, you can just take this one out. You can get it. Yeah, you're good. Let me just drain this fluid. You can be back tomorrow.

Perhaps a Gil's Arena retreat to your farm, Gil, just to survey the products. I'm sitting on the floor. Do some shows for you. All good. But let's get into some basketball. The Suns have been on struggle mode as of late, losing eight of their last nine games before their nationally televised matchup against the Clippers Tuesday night.
Starting point is 00:21:06 And early on, it appeared they were headed for another L until a huge performance from KD and former Villanova standout Colin Gillespie helped save the game and quite possibly the Suns' season. Let's take a look at the highlights. So, Suns were down as much as 23 in the third quarter, but rallied back in the fourth quarter to get the much-needed win. Kevin Durant came through with 34.7 rebounds and four dimes, scoring 19 of those points in the fourth quarter to help fuel the Suns' comeback. And Gillespie, who won chips with both Villanova and the Nuggets, had a huge fourth quarter as well, scoring all 10 of his points in the final period.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Who's that, Grayson? Uh-uh. Let's just take a look at some of this comeback right here. There we go. Okay. That's championship experience, Swaggy. Right there for you. You don't need them corners, I'm telling you. Like I said, KD did his thing.
Starting point is 00:21:56 19 in that fourth quarter. There you go. Just put KD out there. You couldn't do that in the 80s there, boy. Zubac could just be sitting right there doing motherfucking nothing. There you go. I don't see nobody out there. There we go. There he is. Kevin Wayne Durant. Like I said, late in the game, Suns up two. Gillespie hits this huge three-pointer.
Starting point is 00:22:24 Oh, my God. To seal the game. Boom. Suns up two. Gillespie hits this huge three-pointer. Oh, my God. To seal the game. Boom. So, Devin Booker added 17 points, eight dimes. Bradley Beal got the start, but went scoreless in 15 minutes of action, leaving the game at halftime with a calf injury. Visa Zubat had a career-high 35 points, along with 10 boards for the Clippers. He was 15 for 19 from the field.
Starting point is 00:22:44 James Harden had 21 points and 15 dimes. Kawhi also had 21 in the game. Suns outscored the Clippers 43-22 in the fourth quarter to hand L.A.'s other team their third straight loss. Clippers have lost six of their last seven games and have fallen to the ninth spot in the West. The Suns are still in 11th,
Starting point is 00:22:59 three games behind the Mavs for the final playing spot, but only five games behind the Dubs for the sixth spot. So after the game, Durant's former teammate Draymond Green had high praise for KD, tweeting the following. Dray said, back against the wall, Slim pushed all his chips to the middle of the table and wheeled them to a dub. One of the more impressive performances I've seen from Trey Five. So I want to ask you gentlemen on the couch,
Starting point is 00:23:23 all played a lot of basketball, been in situations like this. What does a comeback win like this show you about this Sun squad? What place they in? 11. Currently 11th team. 11, nothing. Backs against the wall.
Starting point is 00:23:34 You said squad or player? How many games they got left? Squad. How many games they have left? They have, excuse me. That was a squad win right there. That was a 19. That was a team win. 20. They have 30 games
Starting point is 00:23:49 20 games left 20 20 20 games left 20 games left obviously the Mavs dealing with their situation They're dealing with but like I said only five games behind the Dubs or the six pot. That's a lot of games That is it don't show anything. Yeah, I'm not me. I'm not rolling. I Mean it's one of them See, I'm a back at home. I Mean good win, but yeah good win, but it doesn't don't prove nothing like they They got a tough six game stretch there It can't it could boost confidence for the other guys. I feel like
Starting point is 00:24:21 To know cuz you don't need them guys. Need them guys for what? Nick, Dan, Lemon? Then you're going to need them for the rest of the team. What, to stay in 11? The rest of the push. You think the Mavs stay in 10? For the playing game. What did you get in that playing game?
Starting point is 00:24:34 You said team, right? You didn't say the player. What does that do for Kevin Durant? No, he said the squad. A member of the Phoenix Suns. Yeah, he said the squad. AD squad. The entirety of the squad.
Starting point is 00:24:45 A team that features Kevin Durant. I don't know what it does for them. They was getting their ass whooped. Kevin Durant, 17 points in the fourth quarter. 19. What it do to him is let you... 19? I know what it does for him.
Starting point is 00:24:59 19 what? Motherfucker, that's what I do. I've been doing it, so, you know. See? It's shit like that, see? Championship experience, yeah. You see them other guys, what they was doing? It wasn't just KD at in the fourth quarter. No, it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:25:14 No, it was a guy who played that nobody expect to do, that ain't on the scouting report. What'd he do? It was Colin Gillespie on a two-way contract. Colin Gillespie on a two-way contract. He showed up off the fucking plane, Nick. What was it? He hit that game with it.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Who gave it to him? Kool. KD. How many points did he have in the fourth quarter? Who? Gillespie had 10 points in the fourth quarter. KD had 19. And you're just talking about KD.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Yeah, because all eyes on other guys. No, hell. See, that's the shit. See, that's what I'm talking about. So he was getting the ball, doing his own bop-bop, getting his own thing? Or was KD getting double? He passed it.
Starting point is 00:25:47 No, no, no. He drove it out. Didn't see nobody. Took it to the hall. I seen that. One play. One play. Show it.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Show it. All you got to do is show it. Wide open three-pointer. Highlights is better than KD's down there. Highlights better than KD's? You're just talking now. Colin, okay. He's the game winner.
Starting point is 00:26:04 You're just talking. Ten points in the fourth quarter. All ten of his points. He got some big points in the fourth. It was. Easy for a guy that's not on the scouting report. The game's still on. They were already ahead.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Still got to make it. They were up two. Easy for him. There's no pressure on none of them shots. He still got to make them. There's no pressure. It's a comeback. It is pressure when you came back. They was down 20.
Starting point is 00:26:29 If he missed it, oh well. When you come back like that, it ain't pressure? If he missed it, it's like why did Kevin Durant pass him the goddamn ball? That's why. Because that was a good... That's the narrative. I'm just saying, but that's the narrative. I guarantee if he would have missed it, Phoenix Suns fans would be like, why the fuck is he
Starting point is 00:26:43 out here? You scored 19 points in the first... You just going 19 straight you go, you know But he has seven in the I didn't see Bobo Yeah, the Savior boat boat. Oh, well to save you off night for Bobo. So Bobo to have a good Star starting now But this make You are you phone you can't do that? Yes, you can't do that. You can't disrespect my corners.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Yes, you can. First of all, Bobo, Mr. Enzo, the problem with Bobo is... For your corners. For your corners. You're disrespecting. You don't know how I feel. Who built these corners up? Bobo's problem right now is we done seen what you do, so we can't allow you to play no more. Oh, it's always...
Starting point is 00:27:23 We can't allow you to play no more because you're a free agent. So, motherfucker, I don't need you going out there asking for $50 to $100 million. What? Because they wasn't expecting it. But they ain't going to pay. Are they trying to get rid of KD? Are they trying to get rid of KD anyway this year?
Starting point is 00:27:38 I want to, like, 1,000%. Might as well. And I'm going to tell you right now, sorry, any smart general manager an agent already seen enough That there's really no you do so you might as well go out there and just win and just try to win future like You already seen enough. I'm crying tears of a muffin Salute to Bobo though. Yeah, but do they keep I mean, but do they keep Katie this like this I mean why not play Bobo like
Starting point is 00:28:05 it's you can't afford Bobo making 2.4 million dollars he's gonna be a free 2.4 million dollars what was he averaging before tonight as a starter let me see Bobo's for like 18 25 20 some years old he's averaging 22 9 and something reserve in like 18 18 89 what do you 18, 18 and 9. Uh-huh. What do you think he's gonna demand and put him back on the bench? Yeah, so you gonna put his ass back on the bench? He started this game only played nine minutes. He went for five at two points.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Thank you. Put his ass nine minutes. Hold on. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Yes. Started him nine minutes, didn't play him no more. He started, played nine minutes, no injury. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Sit down. No, that's what I'm saying. Like, I don't like that. Where did he go from the field? One, one for five. No, he only played nine minutes. Five shots up in nine minutes. Like, I don't like that. Where did he go from the field? One. He only played nine minutes. Five shots up in nine minutes? Oh, five.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Yeah. They already know what they on. A shot of, I like it. I like his aggressiveness. I ain't going to be out this bitch doing cardio. I can tell you that. A shot of minutes. Down 20?
Starting point is 00:28:58 It wasn't down 20. It was. It was the beginning of the game. That's why they came back, motherfucker. It's the beginning of the game. He played nine minutes. They were down 23 and a third. He played nine minutes. He had no shit.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Yes, he did. Nine minutes? It wasn't his fault? Oh, nine ain't his fault. So it ain't five guys, so not so... They wasn't down 15 or something. So it's all on him. You going down 15, you shoot five shots in a row,
Starting point is 00:29:20 they come back and make five. It's all on him? You down 12. It's all on him? No. 12. It's all on him? No. Huh? Bradley Bill was out there, too. I didn't see him no more.
Starting point is 00:29:30 He wasn't in none of those. He played more minutes than Bo Bo and got hurt. Bo Bo played. Hold on. Hold on. He played more minutes than Bo Bo and got hurt. So riddle me that shit. So Bo Bo got subbed out the first quarter at the seven-minute mark, didn't get back into the third quarter.
Starting point is 00:29:48 Oh, wow. And played the first two minutes. And then played the first two. They playing with him mentally. They trying to get his numbers down. They ain't got to get his numbers down. I was there, Golden State, my second year. Nobody going to pay him.
Starting point is 00:30:00 I'm averaging 18-9-9, no triple-double. Three minutes. Sub. Two minutes. Sub. Fucking my shit up. So I said, alright. I'm not passing the ball no more. I'm not going to get no rebounds. Every time I get the ball, I'm just shooting it. Hey, man. You make up excuses every year. I've been there. I've been there. It's your contract year. You're at 2.5.
Starting point is 00:30:20 If I want you, you think I want you to jump? Look at my roster. Do I want you to jump to 30 million a Year, so I'm gonna bench your motherfucking ass. I'm an 11 spot I'm an 11 spot. Why do I want you to ball? So think about what I'm saying think about what I'm saying It gets in the sons were down 11 forward Bobo got subbed out the first you are too quick You are shining my team you are so you're not getting that means you were free agent if you're averaging 18 You're gonna man what it's 15 to 20 million. Yeah, why would I want you to play?
Starting point is 00:30:51 I don't mean I gotta pay you but what I'm saying is why would I want you to play it? The market is gonna demand it. It's all gonna be wanna win. We're in the 11th spot We're not we're trying to keep you for the look. I'm gonna leave you for some cheap shit. Wait, so we don't sabotage Just for Bobo. Wait, so we gonna sabotage just for Bobo? That's what we're saying. We gonna sabotage our whole season for Bobo. You're my future man. Get out of here.
Starting point is 00:31:12 I've seen it happen before, Swag. They gonna sabotage him. They gonna continue to play and try to get in the playoff, but he's gonna be affected by whatever decision they're being made. This is my four-man or my five-man moving forward. If I can get you to sign a two-year 16 million dollar deal god damn it good. Yeah, and you gonna sign it But I'm saying is you gonna sign it? Hey, okay, Katie go. I got you I don't want you to Katie gone and you saw $30 make you mad and make you not want to be here
Starting point is 00:31:41 What the fuck? What's the point? All right, so let's talk about KD a little bit. What are you talking about? You talking about y'all just going to keep fucking up Bobo like it's every excuse for Bobo to fucking succeed. Oh, the coach fucking with him. I don't know why he's not playing. Oh, this and that. He's the star.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Play Bobo like the fuck. So who puts him in the game? No, it's not. Shit, he didn't play for five years. Who controls his narrative? It don't matter. Does he control his own narrative? Shit, yes.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Who, Bobo? It seems like you have an issue with Bobo. So he controls his his narrative? It don't matter. Does he control his own narrative? Shit, yes. Who, Bobo? It seems like you have an issue with Bobo. Hold on, hold on, hold on. So he controls his own narrative? Yes. Bobo controls his own narrative? Yes. So he subbed himself out.
Starting point is 00:32:13 So he subbed himself out. So he's made a decision that all them DNPs he had that was, I don't want to fucking play, don't play me, he made that decision. Is what your dumb ass saying. Mine's not doing something in practice. I didn't ask you that. That's gotta be. I didn't fucking ask you that. It's what your dumb ass saying. Must not doing something in practice. I didn't ask you that. That's gotta be. I didn't fucking ask you that.
Starting point is 00:32:28 That's controlling your own career. My question was, is he making a decision not to put him in the game? If he busting they ass in practice. Is he making a decision not to put himself in the game? No, no. The coach gonna put something in the game. Is he making a decision or a decision made from James Jones, Boone Hoser, not to play this man? Not to play him at all.
Starting point is 00:32:43 No matter what he's doing. Okay, I get it. Swaggy, do you have a vision, no matter what he's doing. Okay, I get it. Swaggy, do you have an issue with the ball? They're proving that. No, I don't. Obviously, you do. Good, that's a good answer. I got to have an issue with him because I don't see what y'all see.
Starting point is 00:32:54 Yes, obviously, it's something. Okay. Because you ain't watching him play. I get it. I don't even know if he was there when Andre Blas, you might as well call Andre Blas by this deal. I was with Andre Blas. When he signed the deal?
Starting point is 00:33:08 When he offered him about 49 million? And he was celebrating, got in trouble that night, you know, tried to, you know, do what he little did. That's different. No, then he came back the next day, and that five-year 49 turned into five-year 15? Mm. That's because of a mistake he made.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Five years. But what I'm saying is they still wanted that for five years, right? They ain't taking their years down. Five years, 15. I want you for five years. So here, you look like you balling. You were playing. You were starting.
Starting point is 00:33:44 This is what you're averaging as a starter. I don't want to pay you that. If Katie leaves and I can get you as a chief. And I'm a free agent. I know how you've been doing me. I can go get the same thing you've given me somewhere else. I'm going to fuck your minutes up so no one's offering you that. But I'm saying it's too late. The world's seen it.
Starting point is 00:34:04 The world's already seen that as a starter, this is what he's going to do. His money's already made, so you might as well just use him. You can't rewind. It's like James Harden in OKC bringing him off the bench thinking if you keep him off the bench, he's going to sign six-man minutes. He's going to sign a six-man contract. And Houston's like, nah, that's a star. Come on over here. They try it? How many games have Bobo started?
Starting point is 00:34:30 Like six or seven, but I feel like that's a sufficient amount of Bobo talk for this show. We have a lot of other things to get in. Shout out, Bobo. You know we appreciate you. So late in the first quarter of the game, TNT cameras caught an interesting exchange between Durant and Suns head coach Mike Boothoser as KD headed to the sideline during a timeout. Let us take a look at it.
Starting point is 00:34:48 So this is what was shown on the game broadcast. Coach Bud and KD exchanged some words with Coach Bud. Grabbing KD's arm. KD rips his arm away. Don't touch me. As he heads to his seat on the bench. So that's what the TNT camera showed but Fox 12 sports anchor Cameron Cox posted an extended version of the exchange Which tells a more complete story. So let's take a look at that video
Starting point is 00:35:14 To pair with it. So there you see grabs Katie's arm. Well rips it away Boonehoser may or may not have said the n-word in his head They keep going. Oh, yeah, he definitely don't want to be here. It's over. It's over. It's over. What is the context?
Starting point is 00:35:32 What time is this? First quarter, about like three minutes ago in the first. Still like a three or four point game. I think it was an offensive breakdown. But now we see after what the cameras did not show they keep chatting Was that the nine-minute timeout or six minutes I'm out I think there was like around like maybe the six it was first quarter When the team came back from break they showed what was going on was only like a four or five point game but after you You know, it seemed like cooler heads prevailed
Starting point is 00:36:06 in that moment. So after the game, KD had this to say about the exchange. Yeah, that's what usually happens when you don't know the dynamics of a relationship. You catch something on TV, you get a quote and now you're pushing that narrative as if me and Bud don't do that shit all the time.
Starting point is 00:36:22 We're competitive as two individuals who want to see things done the right way and sometimes my way ain't the way that bud want to do it and vice versa and he allows me as a player on the team a veteran on the team to voice my opinion if i if we both didn't care we would never have stuff like that you know i'm saying so and i'm glad that the wind is going to sweep all of that stupid stuff under the rug because people couldn't wait. Even some people in Phoenix in here couldn't wait to run with that and say, oh, this is the reason why the team ain't playing well because of that specific thing. But come on, man.
Starting point is 00:36:55 That shows that me and Bud really care about trying to fight this ship and trying to win basketball games. So he understands where I'm coming from. I understand exactly where you're coming from. It's just the people on the outside don't know the dynamics of the relationship. So, you know,
Starting point is 00:37:09 in order for them to get some attention, they're going to run with stuff like that. I wish they'd cut to that and slow-mo that when me and him trying to,
Starting point is 00:37:19 when me and him coming to a solution together and we smiling on the bench and we tapping each other on the chest and slapping hands hard. I wish they would post that on instagram and twitter and say wow this is this is leadership right here but when we do that other shit that's gets attention that's just the nature of the world we in that's the nature of content and the nba in general so it's frustrating
Starting point is 00:37:40 when you see shit like that and you see the reaction to it. But, you know, I know deep down what it is between Bud and I. And he knows it too. And this ain't the first time we done got into it. Not even got into it. We had a quick disagreement and moved right on right after the next play. So it's not going to be the last either. And Bud knows that. And he respects how much I care and I respect how much he cares.
Starting point is 00:38:05 It's not going to be the last either. What are your thoughts on KD sticking up for Coach Bud and kind of trying to make sure to nip that false narrative in the bud for lack of a better word? I mean, they both are competitors, so, you know, things do happen in the heat of the moment of games. But, I mean, like you said, they went out there and won the game, so, you know, shit happens.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Like, it ain't, you know? It's low-hanging fruit at this point for people, right? Trade deadline passed. He didn't move. Everybody was trying to get him gone somewhere. Now the narrative is he's definitely leaving in the offseason, and they just waiting to find something to
Starting point is 00:38:48 Hang on to and and control their narrative and when you don't know the details of the conversation like he said so yeah, he's able to come in and and tell people exactly what it is he was in the situation and People assume and speculate all the time. And you know what they say when you assume. So... I'm glad they won. I'll tell you that much.
Starting point is 00:39:13 I'm glad they won. And I'm glad they was able to get through that. Because usually things linger. So... Like, I'm looking at the play. Um... Was it Boggy Boggy hits the three? Right, they come down, miss.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Boggy Boggy missed the layup. They get the offensive rebound. Boggy Boggy gets the three. And then Suns call a timeout. So whatever it was, it's that, right? Missassignment. Somebody's probably subbing in. Somebody's subbing out.
Starting point is 00:39:44 So it didn't have nothing to do with, like, some lingering shit. It's in the moment of that was going on, right? You know, and it probably was, like, when he said it, let us play. Now it makes sense. Like, instead of calling a timeout, let us play through it. So, you know, you don't know what's, like, KD probably is like, don't call a timeout, let us figure this shit ourselves. He's like, no, I want to call a timeout. A wateruck. We ain't got to sell them three guys who to rebound. Yeah
Starting point is 00:40:09 Yeah, so there's three guys on the bench No, no, sometimes like that be a thing where you know, like some things happen and coach want to call it time You know what a fucking time off already. We good. Absolutely right? Pissing off absolutely. It's cool. Relax. Yeah, they just scored fucking once, man. Goddamn. Like, yeah, it'd be like, yo, all right, we get it. Brandon, like you point out, like KD said,
Starting point is 00:40:33 now, because they won the game, that gets swept under the rug. Obviously, they lose that game, and it stays on that same trajectory. They're getting smacked by 23 points. It's a lot bigger talking point and issue. Yeah, I mean, and also, like, the last time that we saw KD have, like, an incident like that was with Draymond and with the Clippers when they had that little incident. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:51 And when Draymond did not give him the run. No, they didn't really. But it's always just a play. Like, it's a play, not, like, something that these people have beefs on. It's just a play usually that happens. So as a star player on the team, were your best relationships with your coaches
Starting point is 00:41:09 sort of contentious like that? Like they're going back and forth, disagreements, arguments? No, I mean, yeah. Like you are an extension to your coach, you know, but at the end of the day, you guys got both two different lenses, right? You're playing it in real time and he's trying to manage a game and sometimes that his management Can fuck up your your chemistry, right? It can you know, turn you turn your heater off, right?
Starting point is 00:41:40 So that that usually sometimes it's just imagine getting dunked on, right? And then, and one, and then he subs you out. So now you got dunked on and you can't get your get back, right? That becomes a problem. So there's little things and moments that, right? Get your ass dunked on. You be like, man, it's not a chance. Right?
Starting point is 00:42:04 Man, I was not a chance. What the fuck wrong with you over there, man? Oh, damn. Right? Then you, like... I'll walk by him and say something. Oh, you a whole-ass nigga? I'll walk right by him, look him dead in his face. You're going to take me out?
Starting point is 00:42:13 You're going to take me out right now? I bet. Look him dead or tell him over at the table. No, you might as well. Tell him over at the table, man, you might as well go sit down, dog. Have you sent somebody back to his wife? Man, go sit down, dog. Have you sent somebody back to us? Man, go sit down, bro. But you don't think this is like,
Starting point is 00:42:27 he's so used to the negativity that he had to defend himself all the time and feel like he had to say something? Yeah, I'm with it. Don't you see it? I'm with it. He broke like, damn, I got to defend myself.
Starting point is 00:42:39 No, it ain't defend. It ain't got nothing to do with him. Because he know like, it's a bigger picture. All you hear is people talk about the negative. And that's the problem. Like, you see. I get it, man.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Like, so this, when presented with bullshit, right? If he didn't say nothing, it would have been a big thing. For sure. So therefore, I'm going to address it. Oh, my God. And if they lost you? But what I'm saying is. We're going to address it.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Yeah. As media, the reason you don't have a relationship with the players like that is because of this. That's crazy. You have to understand content. Right? You've seen something happen.
Starting point is 00:43:23 They won. They look happy. You don't address it. You don't something happen. They won. They look happy. You don't address it. You don't need to. Right? You don't need to address it. You don't need to ask. There was a victory.
Starting point is 00:43:32 There was a win. Talk about the big-ass comeback. Talk about the 19 points. Keep it like that. The next day, you can probably ask, hey, what was it? You know what I mean? Like, you know, what was it? The dude of bullshit off the record? You know, what was it? You know what I mean? You want to tell me some secret it? You know what I mean? Like, oh, you know, what was it to do the bullshit off? the record
Starting point is 00:43:46 You want to tell me some secret shit? I mean, but other than that like you just turned a whole positive thing into the negative That's the problem with the athlete today saying that you guys are not praising What we're doing you're just like taking you're just critiquing everything that's bad and not... Even the shit that's good, they fucking trying to find something to critique. It's always a butt with shit.
Starting point is 00:44:15 And then he taught it gets to a point to where you fed up with it, right? Before it was just the beat writers, right? You dealt with a certain amount of guys. You might have had... If there was the beat writers, right? Mm-hmm. You dealt with a certain amount of guys. You might have had, if there was three beat writers from whatever, if there was a big city, you had more beat writers.
Starting point is 00:44:30 If there was a small, you had one guy that talked shit about you. Yep. That was always that guy. He's the negative columnist. He's always that guy, yeah. Then you got two guys that's going to write positive about the guys, and the one who's writing negative gets cussed out in the locker room And get treated bad in the press conferences and get the short answers and shit like that
Starting point is 00:44:50 Turn your motherfucking thing off Elaborate question right? This is what they end up doing right They'd be sitting in the back of it. Yeah. They'd be sitting in the middle of the place and they can get in. Hey, man, put your hat up. No, you motherfucker, get the fuck out of here. Let him ask his question. Let him ask his question.
Starting point is 00:45:14 Be like, no comment. No comment. No comment. Oh, listen. Let you ask that elaborate question to give you a one-word answer. Maybe. Yeah, maybe.
Starting point is 00:45:24 It ain't got nothing to do with the shit that you had. Yeah, yeah. Right? No, I was, listen, man, it was a dude in Denver. I, I, listen, he was one of them. Mm-hmm. And, dude, every chance I got. There's always one. Every chance I got. Always one. You just constantly
Starting point is 00:45:39 poking at the team, just digging, taking shots at everybody. Man, I'm like, dude, we come over there with that. You don't have no creativity. That's his creativity? Poking at the team just digging taking shots at everybody man. I'm like dude Come over there with you. Don't have no creativity That's just great. I mean, I know what I'm saying is no that's not nice like we all here in the same thing You don't have no Creativity it positive. There's no oh like I know okay LeBron hit
Starting point is 00:46:05 This or Katie you had 19 points in the Western End. Your brain can't tell you how to write this. Woo! He was like Superman, like KD from the... Like, you can't... You can sit there and get your shit out. Yeah, sure. But if they in second place, do that even be a thing?
Starting point is 00:46:23 Yes. It's still a thing? Yes. The negative writer goes still right negative He don't get fucking my people I'm off negative because because they had negativity before starting out the team one But that shit going in the three minutes of the first quarter. He's gonna get to it. Trust He is gonna get to the Kevin Durant get your hand off and pulling away from the coat Yeah, he's gonna get to that that. Is there trouble in paradise?
Starting point is 00:46:46 Yes. So speaking of trouble in paradise. Calling a win. KD's future with the Suns obviously still in doubt. On Sunday, Shams reported the Suns will work with KD to figure out a trade to a contender if the Suns don't make a run this season. So you might recall the Suns tried to trade KD at the deadline,
Starting point is 00:47:01 but he preferred to stay in Phoenix and finish the season rather than disrupt the chemistry of another team midseason. KD explained the situation recently on the Draymond Green podcast with Baron Davis. Do you want your career to end in Phoenix? I want my career to end on my terms. That's the only thing. Bingo. That's the only thing I'm worried about because I see a lot of dudes that don't get that opportunity. So I want to keep putting in that work to make that choice on my own. But as far as the Warriors, I didn't want to move.
Starting point is 00:47:27 And then as a player like me, I just, I cost a lot. Me going into your team in the middle of the season, it's going to be a big blow to any team I'm going to. I get why y'all want to trade me. Simple fact, that's just business. But for me looking at it, I'm just like, it just don't make sense for either side right now to go through that. When we just play the season out, and if that's the decision you want to make in the offseason, then you figure it out.
Starting point is 00:47:50 If I can't stop it, then why not? And then the narratives that's going to come with all that shit. I mean, I could play under the noise. It's a simple fact that, like, I didn't feel like it was a need to make that big of a change. Yeah, to press that issue. You know, and look what y'all doing right now. Dre, y'all looking good. Jimmy and D still got Camino on the way back,
Starting point is 00:48:09 so I didn't think it made sense. All right, so KD currently 36 years old. He's owed $55 million next season before coming to unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2026. Is it best for all parties involved for the Suns to trade KD in the offseason? I mean, they can't trade him right now, so, you know, if they're going to trade him, it hasn't been offseason.
Starting point is 00:48:30 The next chance you got. I mean, if he... What do you get back? I got a spot for him. I was thinking about it yesterday. I think that's where he might be going. Where? There was only one team that raised ticket prices just randomly for no motherfucking reason,
Starting point is 00:48:48 and it didn't make sense. Mm. Ooh. Is that team currently going through one of the 10 plagues right now? Yeah, that's one of them teams that's going through dark ages of the, you know, everybody smacking them, just everybody kicking them down. Your hometown. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:04 That was... Yeah. I would like to see them... Like, think about it. Oh, I'm thinking... Everybody's smacking them just everybody kicking them down. Mm-hmm your hometown Yeah, I would like to see my thing about it. Oh, I'm thinking I'm Different location What I'm saying like think about ticket price you can raise her it's no but I'm saying like I know what you're talking about Like ticket probably what the fuck you raising ticket prices getting raised. I know what you're talking about, but yeah. Like ticket prices, like what the fuck you raising ticket prices for? That's a squad. Can the Lakers get them? No, I think, listen, I think. We can do anything, Brandon, if you want.
Starting point is 00:49:35 I think there was a conversation in the play. Because you remember Kyrie and KD was fine. Were they? Yeah. They just, motherfuckers just hurt. They just, you know, we hurt, you got hurt, this person got hurt. And KD was fine. Were they? Yeah. They just, motherfuckers just hurt. They just, you know, we hurt, you got hurt, this person got hurt, this shit hit us. And motherfuckers like, yo, I don't want this energy around me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:53 So there have been talks that AD may not play another game for the Mavs this season as they deal with the turmoil. Also talks that they may try to move him. Listen, at this point, man, I think everybody is sitting here trying to figure out what the fuck to do. Yeah. Right? What are we trying to do here? And, you know, there's a couple pieces that's moving around.
Starting point is 00:50:17 There's only a few teams that's sitting there like, yo, we're trying to win. Fuck what they talking about, right? You got Golden State. You got Lakers. Obviously, Denver is still going to be trying to win, fuck what they talking about, right? You got Golden State, you got Lakers, obviously Denver is still going to be trying to win a championship. Thunder, of course.
Starting point is 00:50:32 I mean, they don't have no expenditures, right, to make any moves. Like, they probably have the biggest upside because they got low cost. I was about to say, what if he's going to Denver? No, no, not there. No, no, no. Going back to where you came from. Yeah, so they got the biggest upside that makes sense for...
Starting point is 00:50:50 Huh? They got OKC. Yes, Kevin Durant going back to Oklahoma City, bro. They got so many young pieces that will be attractive. Listen, I'm moving Chet for Kevin Durant. For sure. Pick, I'm moving Chet. Chet, five? Five for a couple of them picks. Chet, five picks. For Kevin Durant? For sure. Pick. I'm moving Chet. Chet, five?
Starting point is 00:51:05 Five for a couple of them picks. And Chet. Five picks? For Kevin Durant. Oh, for KD. You would make that move? Absolutely. No, no.
Starting point is 00:51:12 They number one. They number one with KD and KD? Yes. Enough to win it? With everything else they got. With Jalen Williams, he's off limits. He's got some defenders. Jalen's off limits.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Shea is off limits. I can throw Caruso. I can throw Caruso. Oh yeah, they got Weinstein. I can throw Caruso, Dermott. I'm keeping him with KD. Caruso, Dermott, Lou Dort. Lou Dort.
Starting point is 00:51:40 I don't even know his name. I got Isaiah Joe. They got Isaiah Joe. They got no he's a big guy like him. They got Isaiah Joe. They got pieces I can't do it, but I can't picks and I'm a big picks is the most I got picks to that But I couldn't see Phoenix Phoenix don't make date trying to build for the future, right? I'm doing that let's go and then like because he don't because at this point so okay, she'd be crazy Yeah, so it's about basketball for Katie and winning. So the best chance for him to possibly get another championship, this, that, and the third, is there. Is there.
Starting point is 00:52:07 If Kyrie didn't get hurt. If it's about... No, that would have been a play, but the only thing that actually makes sense... Playing Kyrie. The only thing that makes sense for Suns moving forward is him going back to OKC. Because I got everything there, Suns.
Starting point is 00:52:23 Now him going back... I like it. It's like the LeBron thing where you finish your career, you come back and win a championship, you're a hero again. Yes. So the thing is OKC wins a chip this year, let's just say hypothetically, they win a chip this year. They probably don't make that move. There's no need.
Starting point is 00:52:39 There's no need. They don't make that move, obviously. Okay, no, listen, listen. Even if you won't- There's no need, but I want a motherfucker dug it down. I want to become... Like Golden State did. I want to become that team.
Starting point is 00:52:52 So I still will make that move. I'm not going to be satisfied thinking that, because remember, KD's up. So I can't think I'm going to win another championship and the pit bull's on the loose. Yeah. Because wherever he goes, he goes to L.A., we don't win. He'd be able to go to Denver, we don't win.
Starting point is 00:53:09 He'd go to Dallas, that's compromised, right? Minnesota. His ass end up in, motherfucker, Milwaukee. Oh, shit. Right? So. Oh, shit, what? What I'm saying is, oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:53:19 No. The only move for OKC is that. If I'm OKC, I'm trying to. You don't think him and Ant would be good? Fuck no. No. Damn. Start Start watching basketball Nick, please Diapers Baby shark baby shark
Starting point is 00:53:43 Shit I don't know why I'm sitting if you see Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do They not playing like a team for him to just fit in. Which is... Like, he... But he's like that, man. I'm saying the teams we're talking about, they're already motioning like a team. All he has to come in is to be a hitman. And be him like he did in Golden State. Just be a hitman. He's too efficient, man. Like, you put him in that situation with Shea,
Starting point is 00:54:16 the way Shea get to the line? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Bro, listen, man, that shit's scary. Get Jalen Williams over there. Jalen Williams. I didn't see that one. I like that now, though.
Starting point is 00:54:24 I like that. So we asked the chat, will KD get traded this summer? 88% say yes. Damn! All right, well, let's talk about teams who aren't struggling right now, who are actually doing quite well. So after the Lakers got back-to-back wins over the Clippers this past weekend to win the season series,
Starting point is 00:54:39 Tuesday's game against the Lowly Pelicans could have been a trap game, but Leluka Brancic had the Pels in hell while making some history let's take a look at the highlights please so let's go early in the game lebron made history with his first bucket in the game knocking down a three to become the first player in league history to surpass 50 000 combined points in the regular season and playoffs lebron now the youngest player to reach 10k 20k 30k only player to reach 40K regular season points, and youngest and only player with 50,000 combined points. Luka dropped 17 points in the first quarter, finished with 30 points, 15 assists, and 8 rebounds. Luka, the fourth Laker ever to have a game with 30 points and 15 assists,
Starting point is 00:55:16 joining Magic, Jerry West, and LeBron. And LeBron and Luka... Yeah, Lakers showtime! And LeBron and Luka are the first Lakers duo ever to each have... Yeah, you a corner n***a, Bron! Ha ha ha! Yeah, you sit there and let me do my thing! So, LeBron and Luka, the first Lakers duo ever to each have 30 plus points
Starting point is 00:55:36 while each are making five or more threes in a game. Jackson Hayes was a perfect 8 for 8 in the first half against his former squad, finishing with 19 points and 10 boards. Dalton Kinnick dropped 13 points off the bench as well. And Bronny got his first bucket of the season at Staples Center in Bronny time, despite Dalton Connect not giving him the chance to get it. Oh, my goodness. Who was that?
Starting point is 00:55:57 We've seen the Zion Williamson. So Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 37.6 dimes, 17-for-20 deep in the field, dunking on Trey Jamison's life in what some are calling his official audition for the Lakers Lakers scored a season-high 136 points have now won seven straight games longest winning streak since 2021 So LeBron 50,000 points regular season playoffs combined only player in the NBA history to do so after the game LeBron was asked What's the hardest part about sustaining his high
Starting point is 00:56:26 level of play into his 40s and had this to say. It's not falling out of love with the process. I continue to fall in love with the process. That's the hardest thing every single year. It's a long season, it's 82 games, 41 of year. You know, it's gonna be a long season. It's 82 games, 41 of them on the road. It's a lot of travel, you know. And as you get older, it affects you, you know,
Starting point is 00:56:53 even differently in your family. It affects you even differently. So the process, you know, trying not to fall out of love with the process is always tough. I thought you'd be great. Angel does moves. Whoo!
Starting point is 00:57:09 Come on, man. You're bringing flies in here, man. There was no flies in here. There is flies in the arena before you came in here. Before you came in here, man, was everybody just talking. I'm not going to let you distract me. As soon as you walked in here, boom, fly. You're brung cussing.
Starting point is 00:57:24 This is LeBron time, don't you think? This is LeBron time in here boom fly you bring cuz it's LeBron time My clutch hey, it's LeBron time. Uh-huh. Very very nice clutch hat. I might add how many points he is LeBron had what 35? 34 34 34 MVP, yeah, whoever got to see the Lakers good luck man. That. That is what we wish for. And his son scored the same night. Shout out to them clutches. So LeBron was also named Player of the Month for February. He's now the oldest player to win the award,
Starting point is 00:57:57 which he's done so 41 times in his career, which is also a record. Average 29-11-7 per game in February. Lakers went 10-2 in that time frame. But let's go back to what he said in his postgame media availability. So, question for all of you. How hard is it to stay in love with the process? LeBron, you're 22. It's definitely hard because there's a lot of ups and downs through the process. But if you can find that middle ground through it all, you're going to be all right.
Starting point is 00:58:24 I think he got great motivation. I Don't know. I think it's probably hard. I don't think to him he probably surpassed Who people try to compare him to yeah, I think the things he accomplished in the longevity For him it had to be just what winning another championship or just not wanting to be at home or something, playing with his son, because he done accomplished everything. 50,000 points, that's a lot of guys. Nobody's going to beat that, I don't think, never. So Bron currently averaging 24.9 points per game.
Starting point is 00:58:59 He has a streak of 20 straight seasons, averaging 25 or more. Streak potentially in jeopardy now. Still averaging. It's unbelievable. 25, nine assists, eight rebounds. You telling me if they don't stay in this second spot, he can't be MVP? Mm.
Starting point is 00:59:14 No. Mm. Y'all keep harping on this triple-double shit. I don't, I'm not rolling. Yo, he got a chance. Of course you wouldn't be, Nick. I done seen it already. Seen what? Seen the center do it before? Every year, if somebody had a triple-double.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Somebody averaged a triple-double every year. If you seen a nigga that was 40... Somebody averaged a triple-double every year. If you seen a nigga that was 40 averaging 20 or something, 24. I never seen... He's playing great. I seen triple-double. I never seen a nigga 40 years old.
Starting point is 00:59:37 Yeah, you haven't, because they... Yeah, uh-huh, sound good. Averaging down to 25, going for a championship. Like, that's also something I've never seen. I've never seen that. I done seen triple-double, triple-double, triple-double, triple-double. Have you? Averaging down to 25 going for a championship. That's also something I've never seen. I've never seen that. I've never seen triple-double, triple-double, triple-double, triple-double. That's all we basing it on.
Starting point is 00:59:49 I've never seen a 40-year-old take the face of the league still better than damn everybody in the NBA. So he's not better than that guy? Shit. Well, he's not. The team is better. He's not. He's a great basketball player, absolutely. We did virtually. Stop it. You's a great basketball player, absolutely. We did Berkeley.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Stop it. You know what the... Great, absolutely. The problem... Not even in the conversation. You know what the problem is? And it's showing with him. That... The people who came into the NBA writing for the NBA
Starting point is 01:00:27 didn't love the sport that they were writing for. It was a job. So they didn't love the process. They didn't love the process of, like, you've met, right? We've seen writers where they're genuinely excited to be in the arena, to talk to you, right? Like, hey, man, how's the family doing? Like, we've been there. So you're looking at a man, and I heard Skip say it, right?
Starting point is 01:01:00 He was basically saying, he gave him praise, like, you know, this is unbelievable to see a 40 year old man doing the things he's doing I can't fathom this and the response to it is this you can't fathom it is because if You actually opened your eyes You would have realized how fucking good he was when you was
Starting point is 01:01:26 Pretending he wasn't who he was yeah, right when he blow man. It don't look like he's slowing down He why is he still jumping like that well cuz when he was jumping jumping he was the motherfucker bumping his head on the rim But you were so negative about it. You didn't you didn't see your eyes was closed Right and that's the problem like as a fan be a fan of if you're gonna be a fan of a player in his greatness be a fan of just greatness itself so you can actually sit back and appreciate that these guys are really good like when I look at Steph and I see Steph do what he does, I remember asking myself,
Starting point is 01:02:06 how many shots do you motherfucking think he takes? This is crazy. I even DM'd him, hey, man, how many shots do you take a day? Because this is crazy. Right?
Starting point is 01:02:14 I'm still getting excited about how he makes shots and how he shoots shots. Like, you have to be excited with the process just like these guys are excited about working out because, listen, he could have retired a long time ago, just like
Starting point is 01:02:28 Steph could have retired a long time, just like Katie. They could have gave up on the process, got fat, but these guys has actually been working like they are still 20 years old, and we're really not looking at it like that. We're sitting here trying to figure out, like,
Starting point is 01:02:45 hey, who's the next one coming, man? Where the next one at? Who the, like, like, enjoy it. Because we're never going to, we're never going to see this type of dominance again. Not in our lifetime.
Starting point is 01:02:57 Whoever it is, ain't going to be, ain't in the NBA yet. So you talk about Skip Bayless, a notorious LeBron hitter, made millions of dollars hating on LeBron. Yeah, I don't care about that.
Starting point is 01:03:06 I'm just saying. But now even he has to. So if you're a bigot, hater has to not give you proper. That's my point. Yeah, because it ain't you. Well, okay, we get it, dude. Like, the dude, he's been doing the same thing consistently for you. Whatever you're saying don't matter, so you might as well just.
Starting point is 01:03:23 All right, we. Yeah. Yeah. But still, 45 dunks in the game, bro. Like, that's tough, bro. 40 years old and still got a chance to win two more rings. That's tough. You know what's funny? Like, in the position to win, to go get six. Still working out at 40 is tough. But that's what I'm saying. You could do all the working out, but... No, it's true. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:03:41 But I can tell you this, for you to last this long, you had to sacrifice a lot in your 1920s. This is not someone who's just one summer just figuring out, oh, shit, let me start working out in September. No, we've watched it. He's given us the blueprint. Think about it. Go back. You can go through his Instagram.
Starting point is 01:04:02 After every championship or when they lost, 48 hours later, he's posting he's in the gym. He's been shown that 48 hours later, he's in the gym working out for the next season, already working on his body, so he didn't let his body get out of shape. So he's shown us we're just blind. Like, I noticed, I realized how good Michael Jordan was when I'm watching LeBron. I know you take care
Starting point is 01:04:31 of your body very well. For sure. So, a man who retired three years, who drinks, parties, have fun. Smokes cigars. Smokes cigars.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Say he's coming back September 26th and then starts off the beginning of the season and is averaging 20 points. The fuck? Then come back the next year, play all 82 games, average of 20. That's impressive.
Starting point is 01:04:57 Like, I'm just, just to think about, just think about the concept. At the same age, averaging 20, but didn't take care of his body. And I'm sitting here like that's like a old bugatti just revving his engine up and going out there racing like you know some of these athletes god damn it they they are defining the odds and but you know if you know you got one of those type of bodies you
Starting point is 01:05:21 gotta you gotta take care of it from the beginning. You got the oil, you gotta, hey, 3,000 miles, get an oil change, these motherfuckers doing it at 2,000 miles, 1,500. They're not waiting to 3,000, go to 4,000, 5,000. Yeah, he don't got, he got don't cheat legs, like he don't cheat, he don't party. You can tell by the way he jumping now, he didn't do a lot of other a lot of This jumping now is just all arms brother. Hey, oh no, you see I doing this deal Brother what I was doing is his arms But his head this fall into the rim dog that old hit did you ever seen this? I like jump five times right now and Charlie done You ever seen him in a play you ever seen him when How you gonna jump five times right now and try to dunk? You ever seen him in a play?
Starting point is 01:06:07 Have you ever seen him when he's coming down the lane and his eye at the rim? All this is on. That's back then. This all on right now. He called a tip, Jim, and did that. This dude got a jam. This like, hey, Kian Martin right now can do about 15 squats and jump up there and tomahawk. Can you tomahawk still King?
Starting point is 01:06:25 It ain't it ain't it ain't a freshman sophomore can We gonna be like we gonna sit there and do the same line. Oh shit, right? But the whole shit back in the day was oh shit I know because that's his freak. That's his nature He's on my 44 People That's his freak. That's his nature. He's still done. He's on my 44 What I'm saying is like a home people what I'm saying is 44 inch vertical drop down to 37 inch vertical that that's our that's my peak That's his bottom end But that's what I'm saying. I know but that's but that's his bottom man. You acting like that's all or that's not
Starting point is 01:06:59 Oh, no, it's all We do now Bitch, I can't even I can tap Tapping is like done my 36 with the motherfucker 22 21 when you get that I can only tap brother So I can probably touch the rim but coming down It's gonna be a lot of people in the chat calling it glaze arena now because uh, they're saying you're glazing the Brahma Here's what I'll say. We saw any 40-year-old averaging 25, 9, and 8. I'm saying any 40-year-old.
Starting point is 01:07:26 I haven't seen the 40-year-old average double figures. No, no. MJ. MJ. What I'm saying, any 40-year-old averaging 25, 9, and 8 with their team second in the Western Conference. 25, 9, and he's averaging 25? Yes.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Shit. 9 and 8. Ooh. LeBron. But when they say, when they say. That's crazy. That's not anything. But they call that glazing?
Starting point is 01:07:44 He's not even my favorite player You don't even want to have me have a conversation about penny hard away You might as well just take it out just get out That's coldest motherfucking ever like what I got I got in fights suspended and kicked out of schools Okay, yeah If Shaq scored more points than him, obviously that means I was arguing every motherfucking game. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 01:08:10 Think about what I said about my favorite player. Like, I love basketball, Hawk. 25-99. If you think I'm playing that, wait. I didn't know 25-95. 25-95, not MVP status? Yeah, it is. In some versions of the league, but when you got...
Starting point is 01:08:26 If a guy wasn't averaging 29, 14, and 11... Triple-double shot. Or 32-66 with an 11-game lead. I don't care what you say. That's not... There's only two people in history since back in 1942, and that's impressive, too, because they didn't even have threes or jump shots.
Starting point is 01:08:46 So Oscar Robinson's shit is impressive because they didn't have the shooters we had. So that was 10, 11 actual layups. Yeah, yeah. All layups. All layups. Flying commercial. Jump shot with some Chuck Taylors
Starting point is 01:09:03 flying commercial flight. Getting the first thing out smoking. Smoking cigarettes. I'm gonna jump shot with some Chuck Taylor's commercial Why you playing and shit, that's why they were Like this It was out there like this. You seen the crackhead make a layup? You ever seen the crackhead make a layup before? They going full speed. I haven't seen a crackhead make a layup. I have seen a crackhead do a backflip off a two-story building, nearly stick to the end. That's what I'm saying. They ain't feel no pain.
Starting point is 01:09:33 They get back up with one more crack. You ever seen a crackhead make a layup? They fast as the mother. They jump now. OK, he jumped for the three-point line. We seen him. So seen him move with a rebound. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Yeah. Donch. The early to go, the early to go. I mean, like, what Jokic is doing, man, is still, like, you have to be,
Starting point is 01:09:48 you have to be in tuned with basketball to understand movement, human behavior, knowing what people are. Like, I'm just, for somebody who,
Starting point is 01:09:58 who wasn't a passer like that, right, I'm in awe when I watch highlights of Steve Nash, Jason Kidd,
Starting point is 01:10:09 Magic, Pistol Pete, Jokic, shit, Luka, coming down the lane, you looking at the rim. No, I mean, because he wasn't, his passes wasn't these passes, right?
Starting point is 01:10:25 When you're talking about you got a guy right here, and Jason can hit a bull that motherfucker, and it hit here, and ding! Like, what? He's sitting under the rim, and everybody here, and he throw it right at the bottom of the backboard, and it hit, fall right into the dude's lap. Boom! Like, there's things that some of these people do. You'd be like, yo, what are you looking? Like, what's the process? Like, that's what I said, I watched 12 Hours of Kyrie,
Starting point is 01:10:48 and I'm watching him move, and I'm just sitting, like, I started off just sitting there, and then I seen him move, and I'm looking, three hours later, I paused it at the three-hour mark, and then I had to hit the board, like, yo, this motherfucker's a master, and I'm just watching like, yo, this is
Starting point is 01:11:03 different level, what's going through his brain at the time? And that's like some of these guys, you have to really love basketball to realize how good some of these people are. Yeah, absolutely. So, Mr. B, we talking about? I feel that way about Steph. Some of these, yes. I feel that way about Steph. Like, I like the rest of them dudes.
Starting point is 01:11:24 LeBron is very what he does Katie Did it go but when I watch Steph is like? Lord, I'm like Steph shit like Steph motherfuckers. I'm like Steph Shay Luca Who's that who's else moving at a different frequency just sometimes Brunson, right? Just how crafty and how he get, like, he just be sitting there like,
Starting point is 01:11:50 man, these motherfuckers is good, man. Like, shit, you. I was about to say. Like, you be sitting in there, and you going up, and the motherfucker jumped, and you did a 360. Like, how the fuck was you thinking of that? I was going to say Jamal Crawford.
Starting point is 01:12:04 I've watched a lot of Jamal Crawford. Like, Jamal was a... Like, when I look at Jamal, he was a reactor. Like, if he wanted you to... If he wanted to go this way, he'd have bink, bink, bink. Right?
Starting point is 01:12:19 He was a combo. Like, his combo package on human behavior was nice. But when you're talking about creativity, just, like, on the fly, like, you coming through the lane and you getting ready to jump and somebody jumped in front of you and you decide to do a 360. Oh, like Ja. You'd be like, what's a Ja?
Starting point is 01:12:35 Like, his air movement. Same thing with Vince. Like, I'm about to, huh! Like, oh, shit. You're like, wait, what? Michael Jordan, goddamn it. That motherfucker move against the Nets Well, that's everybody there reverse lay up there. I'm like, yeah, this is the best like people look at like oh my god
Starting point is 01:12:52 Like nah, y'all don't know how like yeah This is different. Oh, this is not it. This is different I've always gave you compliment. No, the behind the scenes. Give me a hug, man. You made me feel like a pro. Ladies and gentlemen, that's what we do here on Gil's Arena. We unite Hoopers. Huh? Zion, too.
Starting point is 01:13:14 That's just power. No, no, I mean, that's just athletic. Yeah. That's just, no, I'm just like, you know. That's the coldest shit, though. The jumping. You hear when somebody's moving out the way and dunk that bitch. Yeah, that's easy.
Starting point is 01:13:25 I had to learn that one in college. That's easy. When somebody, like, when you're going straight up, and you got a double pump, go under him. Just move it out the way. That shit hard. Jumping, move the ball out the way. That's hard, because he's jumping like this,
Starting point is 01:13:36 but you're going under his arm, and he's coming back up to dunk. I didn't have much bounce for that. I did that one time. I was so happy in college. I ain't gonna lie. It was in practice, bro. I just like, like, like even with my son Elijah, I'm like, think of that.
Starting point is 01:13:50 He didn't did a spin, came seeing somebody, did a, he just spinned the other way and I'm like, he did something in that city championship game, but he like dribble combo, acting like he was gonna pass and just zoom by it. I mean, it was like. I'm not teaching the reaction part of it. That's just your brain function. And I'd just be sitting there like, that's why I said, when I watch basketball and I see something, like I want to know like how you do it. Like, you know, like there's this move here.
Starting point is 01:14:21 I still can't figure it out, but it's like a, it looks like they're fully stopping, and then they keep going. Like when Joe Johnson was doing that step, step, go. Yeah, that tap. That tap, tap, pop. You're like, yo, what the fuck was that? Kiki Vanderway.
Starting point is 01:14:34 I do mine. Oh, Kiki. Game. Kiki taught him that? No, Kiki taught it to me. In the finals, my play against the finals, I went middle against Robert Orr, and I dunked it. Yeah, I tapped him.
Starting point is 01:14:46 Yeah. Right, yeah. Like, I... Kiki Vanderway. Kiki Vanderway taught this. My hero, the human being, will give you buckets. I do the tap with the... Like, it's the tap, it's the face...
Starting point is 01:14:54 Smith, what's his name? Did you just... The Hulk? Oh, yeah. I do the tap with that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's like things you see in people, like, that's why I said, like, when you watch basketball and you're trying to get better, watch everybody. Because everybody's frequency is a little bit different, and you need to see, like, in the NBA, they do something better than everybody else.
Starting point is 01:15:13 They're moving at a different frequency, like, watching the ball, knowing how it came off your hand. So, question for you guys. Obviously, high-level Hoopers all play in the league. What's the first move you remember trying to emulate figure out when you were coming up? The between the legs crossover Tim Hardaway the killer That was like I had to get that down pack I tried to do a lot of hot sauce and sauce The air will mix tape at the park
Starting point is 01:15:42 You were and what? Used to get man. My Kenny Anderson one? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They used to get mad. Mine was Kenny Anderson. It was Kenny Anderson against Bobby Hurley. Oh. Ooh. It was that move, bro, I tried to mimic that move. You know how hard it is to mimic that move on nobody? And Penny Hardaway.
Starting point is 01:15:58 But, but, but, I'm trying to... It went boom, boom, boom. I remember it, because I was trying to do it too. Boom. It should have been easy for you. Yeah. Yeah, I'm right-handed, so you know, obviously. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:16:10 Yeah. So I'm like, well, let me do it on this side, and I forgot the movement and shit. Like, ah. Right. He hard-awaited me to do that. The three-step? Yeah, I did that. That's what I did, yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:19 Yeah, my shit was all Sean Kemp shit. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's my favorite player. Anything he was doing, yeah, I'ma do that. Did you do the post-dunk points or anything? Nah, I ain't never get... That's a Tekken.
Starting point is 01:16:30 Hey, Sean Denver... He'll kick me out the game. But Sean Campbell, if you watched every Sean Campbell dunk, everything had a this or a point or... Look at it, I was giving you... I was acting a fool hanging on them people's furniture now. But... For sure.
Starting point is 01:16:42 Everybody was doing that shit. I was doing that shit because of him. The little fucking swing on him. Yeah, I remember. All that shit. I remember that. You remember when the N1 mixtape came out? Yup. So I'm watching it, right?
Starting point is 01:16:58 And I see a motherfucker throw it through his legs. Right? And then I seen him throw it through the legs, throw it back through the legs, throw it back through the legs, and threw it through the legs. You know I, hey, yo, what? What is a, um, no, a bone collector. Anybody got a bone collector's phone number?
Starting point is 01:17:15 Right? And I said, hey, listen, I'm sorry, but there has to be an art to throwing it between somebody's legs. What are you looking at? Because there's no motherfucking way that you can throw it through somebody's legs, he recovers, you throw it back through his legs, he recovers and throw it back through his legs.
Starting point is 01:17:37 It's mostly impossible unless you're looking at something. And he said, and he broke it down to me me and then he came and taught it to me. And he says, he, he, like he's opening them up, right? Like, and he said, I got to get them moving one way. He says, when I come back the other side, they natural reaction is to open up. When they open up, I throw it through their legs. Boom. He says, what ends up happening is once you get past a certain amount, they drop their leg to recover. Once they drop it, throw it back through their legs. Boom. He says, what ends up happening is once you get past a certain amount, they drop their leg to recover. Once they drop it, throw it back through their legs. And I'm sitting here like, and then watching him teach me and then watching the movies like what I'll do. And then he threw it through my legs and then boom. And I'm
Starting point is 01:18:17 like, and he said, it's all hip movement. Did you think anyone like birthed a lot of this era? Yes. But they don't get a lot of respect and credit for it? No. I'll tell you a skill. Yes, yes. So the foundation of this is the N1 era.
Starting point is 01:18:34 The players in the N1 era are the trainers today. You see what I'm saying? I do see the bone collecting. Yeah, so the N1 era, like even like the high school, the college players at the time who didn't make it, but they understood that stuff.
Starting point is 01:18:55 They are the trainers. They are the trainers now teaching. Sham God is the trainer for Dallas. Teaching the new school. He's staffed. He's player development. Yeah, player development. So all those, yeah, so this is the trainer for Dallas. Teaching the new school. He's staffed. He's player development. Player development. So all those, yeah, so this is the N1 era.
Starting point is 01:19:10 Having Kyrie as your, you and Kyrie together, Sham God and Kyrie in the same room is cheating. Cheating. Even when Luka was there, he had Luka out there motherfucking Sham God. I'm like, yo, man, this is, Hemichairi out there working on shit is... Like, that's all. It's mad science and shit to have together coming up with a new fucking plan. And you're talking about, you know,
Starting point is 01:19:34 two people who create stuff on people's shift and move and hips and... You know what I mean? So if you look at Luka, you'd be like, yo, he's too slow to get by anybody. And then you got to realize his feet are slow His ball movement is the fast right where he's sitting there like I seen I caught something where His boom boom
Starting point is 01:19:58 He's already it's fast because I make it already doing it the other way in the air So he jumps here to go back this way. So when he goes here, by the time he lands, he's already popping it. So he's not coming boom, boom. It's a hop, pop, pop. Like, oh, shit, that's smooth as fuck. His handle is quick. Yeah, his handle is quick, yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:19 You brought up Luka. Let's chat about him a little bit. Like I said, Luka, fourth Laker to drop 30 and 15 dimes in the game. Been looking a lot more like himself lately. In his last six games, average of 27 points, nine rebounds, nine assists. So, safe to say he's fitting in nicely with his new squad. So before the game Tuesday, Shams said the following.
Starting point is 01:20:38 So talking to people around Luka Doncic, he had no intention of ever leaving Dallas. I think that's going to carry over to the Lakers. I think he's loving his time in L.A. So Gil, how much will the trade to the Lakers benefit Luka in the short term and long term?
Starting point is 01:20:54 Why are you looking at me like that? Sergeant got a question. That ain't something Jordan talked about already. Not kidding. You can't talk about the second place Luka. You gotta talk about Luka. Can't talk about the second place later. You gotta talk about Luka. Luka? Yeah, Luka.
Starting point is 01:21:07 How is it going? Fake? It's fucking positive. Short term and long term? Positive. One word answer. Positive. You doing me like the negative?
Starting point is 01:21:15 Positive. Yes, positive. Billionaire? Right now, man. It's just like, what are you talking about? Championship. He don't want to leave Dallas. He gets traded.
Starting point is 01:21:23 Nobody ever wants to leave. It ain't like they sent him some... But that's my point. They sent him some... They sent him some... He don't want to leave Dallas. He gets traded. Nobody ever wants to leave. It ain't like they sent him somewhere. But that's my point. Somebody finna catch him. They ain't sending him to Sacramento. It's like your girl dumping you now. Beyonce want to holler.
Starting point is 01:21:36 There's only one person who voluntarily left Los Angeles. There were two people who left L.A. That was White Howard and Paul George. Nobody wants to leave unless it's really money. But for the most part, he came to L.A., Los Angeles Lakers. His value as a player, his value in his bank account is going to skyrocket. What's his nationality again? He's Slovenian.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Slovenian. I don't know if there's many Slovenians in Dallas, but I'm pretty sure there's a shitload of them out here in... And there's going to be some... We need a little Slovenian. There's going to turn into some. I'm pretty sure there's... If there wasn't one, there will be soon.
Starting point is 01:22:21 Slovenia, very nice country. So therefore, is what I'm saying, like, his followers... Very nice country. Yeah. And when I talk about benefit, we have all these conversations about face of the league. A lot of people think it can't be a European or international player.
Starting point is 01:22:35 They think it's got to be an American-born player to be the face. But it seems like, with this shift, we saw everything Luka did in Dallas, but now you're in the L.A. market. We've seen how powerful the L.A. market is in elevating and promoting players. If he embraces it, I mean, you're in a time right now with
Starting point is 01:22:49 the Dodgers who are doing their thing, guys like Shohei coming over. It's only two people, man. It's two teams that, Boston and Los Angeles, dog. It's either going to be Jason Tatum or it's going to be Luka Dodgers moving forward. That's just what it is. And my question, though, does it feel like a shift?
Starting point is 01:23:06 Unless Giannis moves to the big city. Unless Giannis moves to Los Angeles or New York. If Giannis went to New York, that's a different. Because you're talking about a two-time MVP, so he's going to be the most decorated out of the three young guys. And he has a personality. And he has the dunking and the crying. That's why I say you need something.
Starting point is 01:23:28 Yeah. And neither here nor there, but producers want you to know the biggest Slovenian population in America is actually in Cleveland, Ohio. Yeah, he ain't going to Cleveland. Which may be some synergy with the rest of the world. All right, George. I didn't ask you what population.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Do we got four or five here? Yeah. We got about seven. Do we have four or five? When the playoffs start, just like, oh, my God. But he's never going to do it. He might. But he might not do it.
Starting point is 01:23:56 But he could. Who are you talking about? Like, Jokic, when he goes to motherfucking Chicago. Oh. Yeah. And when he go to motherfucking Chicago, he damn near Derrick Rose out there, bitch. For real?
Starting point is 01:24:09 Hell yeah! That's, yeah, yes, when he goes to Chicago, it's damn near like he's Derrick Rose out in that motherfucking place. They do it, Luka. I'm trusting you. Luka's night. Wherever they are around California, they gonna all migrate to here to support some Luka. It's like the Lakers fans with the Nuggets.
Starting point is 01:24:27 Just like Dodgers. I mean, Dodgers. Chicago's largest Serbian population outside of Serbia, if I'm not mistaken. Dodgers used to be Spanish. When Joker pulls up. Rest in peace, Fernando Valenzuela, legend. Until Otani came here. Who?
Starting point is 01:24:43 Otani. I said it was Spanish. Dodgers was Spanish. It was a Spanish community until Otani came here I said it was it was Spanish doctors of Spanish there was a Spanish community and East LA yeah I say Spanish people love yeah yeah it's Yeah They said we did a tee shot you want some mobile and it's Otani I'm saying in Little League though Little League. Everything is Oh tiny everything is 17 Jersey Everything is said I got one at the house. Yeah, absolutely White kids manipulating their name to make it sound like Tommy whatever is going you're not cuz you know Whatever ages are small. So most of them and baseball look like what chicken little helmet to be sure to be out there I'm just trying to tell you
Starting point is 01:25:40 Check it out. You never seen chicken little helmet too big for but just and not not hitting the face on the leg thing too much on the head, but Luka making this shift. Luka plays even closer to what he did in Dallas in this market. Oh, what? What is he averaging? 23 right now.
Starting point is 01:26:02 What I'm saying is, this is the, no, no, no, no're going to run the real narrative. We heard what everyone said about him. Fat, out of shape, hookah, beard. Just remember what was said. Lazy, lazy. Now say his numbers on what the narrative was. He's averaging what being what.
Starting point is 01:26:24 So he was averaging like 33-9-9 being fat, complainer, alcoholic. No, no, no, no. Whatever he was. We don't know what he was last year. This year. But last six games. I'm not going to give you the total since his calf has gotten back to... We don't know if his calf... 27-9-9 in his last six games.
Starting point is 01:26:40 Lakers won 27-9. So 27-9-9 is the bottom end of a fat man out of shape calf injury just coming back. That's what he is. What is he overall? Let me pull it up for you. So we can see what is actually what he was. So this season, this is called Lil' Stallion while Google Loads. 27-8-8. So this season.
Starting point is 01:27:06 27-8-8 overall in the season. So 27. Including Dallas. 8-8, Dallas combined. In Dallas, yeah. And you said. 31 games. And you said, what was the question you said? What was the same answer you said?
Starting point is 01:27:17 Does it get worse? What? And I said, in terms of being the face of the league now, does this improve those standings? 27-8-8 is... 27-9-9. 27-8-8 is... 27, yeah, 9-9.
Starting point is 01:27:32 No, no, no, that's what he's averaging. It lasts his game. But overall, 27-8-8, and this is the worst... Numbers are down. Mm-hmm. That's what they said. So if this is what a fat man out of shape drinking beer guy
Starting point is 01:27:47 is averaging, yeah. Also said he complains a lot, but watching him in a Lakers uniform just seems like he's very passionate. I haven't heard one complaint yet. I know one thing, he gonna get calls now. He's very passionate. I haven't heard a complaint yet. I haven't seen a complaint yet. He has the best D I've ever seen.
Starting point is 01:28:02 Ever. No, dude. And I can tell you this right now. He is gonna be the third person in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season. Right? Like, just think about the upside of the player, right? We're talking about a guy who's still in amateur mode, right? He's in amateur mode at 25. He's not in his prime.
Starting point is 01:28:32 He's not even in the second phase of being good. He's still in trying to figure this shit out. This is just all just actual reaction. This is not studying the game. This is not dictating the game, right? He's not in that mode yet. This is just him, just his natural ability. And the
Starting point is 01:28:47 upside is, the upside of him is he can average this is a 90 percentile, just like we watch Jokic with it. Like, oh, he's flirting with a triple-double that the motherfucker might average one. He's gonna average one, right? His ceiling is so high
Starting point is 01:29:04 in his ability that... So can Luka be the second player in the league after Russ to average a 30-point triple-double? He's going to average, put it like this, anywhere from 33 to 27. Right? That's going to, it depends on how much you want to score. He can average 33 to 27 triple-double. Mm. Does he at least get two or three rings with the Lakers? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I mean, bare minimum.
Starting point is 01:29:31 Hey, they gone. They gone. Outside of the Lakers shit... Let's start with one now. Outside of the Lakers shit, what should New Orleans do? Who? The Pelicans, whatever. The other team that was playing from that guy. Could they just, like, trade everybody?
Starting point is 01:29:43 With Zion, right? You can trade everybody but... But they got pieces, though, right? I can trade every you can trade everybody but they got pieces though, right? I can try I'm training every guy got one person you not saying I'm still I Mean girl, I'm disagree. I think voice I'll contract really teach him a lesson. Let him go to the open market I mean for the player but for the French, but we've seen that that 30 minutes You're a businessman, you know I mean, for the player, but for the franchise. But we've seen that 37-6. You don't see it. You're a businessman. You're telling me to get rid of my golden goose.
Starting point is 01:30:11 Like, what's wrong with y'all, man? I'm not getting rid of my golden goose. This is the man who makes me money or even, like, dents it. Like, if I'm in the red, he dents it. He's gone, God damn it. I got to sell my team. That's how some of these franchises are. I think if you see what you saw last night, you're the Pelicans. Yeah. You, goddammit. I gotta sell my team. That's how some of these franchises are. I think if you see what you saw last night, and you're the Pelicans,
Starting point is 01:30:27 you're not going nowhere. It's a golden goose. So you sell your golden goose to do what? Where your money coming from? OKC did it. No, Dallas did it. OKC did what? They got rid of... They got rid of Russ. That's all they got rid of.
Starting point is 01:30:45 Russ, KD. No, KD left me. My golden goose walked the fuck out. But look at that. He walked out on me. But you could turn it around, though. Yeah, you can always... You could turn it around.
Starting point is 01:30:56 You could? Yeah. You could, and you can't. I'm just saying, Zion over there... Everybody's not... He's just wasting his years over there, man. He's talented. But I'm saying, you're speaking from the player's side point.
Starting point is 01:31:06 Yeah, right, right. The player can't trade himself. But he can ask for it. You're telling me, I'm telling you right now, if you are my golden goose and you're asking me to trade you, I don't speak your language. Okay, well, I don't speak... AD did it? Okay, I don't speak
Starting point is 01:31:21 your language. AD did it. Alright, you speak in English, I know Mandarin they say the ad who He ain't a ad ain't him You talking different You watch the game last night I could see the highlights but a these sold the same amount of Jersey Motherfuckers going to the playoffs ain't touch no the same amount of jerseys. What? Motherfuckers going to the playoffs. They ain't touch no goddamn shoes.
Starting point is 01:31:47 Hey, can you name AD's shoe? What shoe does he wear? What's his signature shoe? What shoes does Zion wear? He is signed by Michael Jordan with a signature shoe. What shoe? Where is it at? Have you seen a motherfucker wear a Zion?
Starting point is 01:31:59 I never seen somebody pull up and say, I got to get this Zion. That's some shit I never seen in my life. What is Anthony Davis' shoe? That's like seeing a never seen in my life. What is Anthony Davis shoes? That's like seeing a nigga with MB shoes. What I'm saying, does he have a signature shoe? You never see anybody with MB shoes? Does he have a signature? No, hell no.
Starting point is 01:32:13 I've never seen him with the wheels on the bottom. What's that? Does Anthony Davis have a shoe? You talking about the New Balance or something? No, he got Skechers, dog. No, he got 361, I believe. I mean, yeah. Oh, no, MB got the Skechers.
Starting point is 01:32:23 Yeah, Skechers. MB got Skechers. Joker got the 361s. Now, Zion definitely bigger than AD, though. Oh, no, Embiid got the Skechers. Yeah, Skechers. Embiid got Skechers. Joker got the 361s. Now, Zion definitely bigger than AD, though. For New Orleans? For... I'm going to say he's bigger than Chris Paul there, too, then. Selling jerseys?
Starting point is 01:32:36 He's a... His name is Megastar. It's not... That shit died down now. But is it coming back? No. No, it's not coming back. Occipelican struggling this year, doing a ration.
Starting point is 01:32:45 It is like a black cloud over there. You know he's like the fastest to 5,000 points? Third fastest. I'm not saying he's not good. No. That motherfucker cold, but I'm just saying,
Starting point is 01:32:56 there's nothing happening. Yeah, over there. Yeah. I think that's just a bad spot. I'm saying they got great pieces that could work on the team. I'm not just saying Zion. Like, they got Murphy.
Starting point is 01:33:06 They got CJ still. Man, I'm thinking they're good on somebody. You know what I'm saying is... Okay. They will be good for somebody. Yo, so how you feel about... No, like I said at the beginning, you can trade everybody.
Starting point is 01:33:20 Mr. Golden Goose. Hey, how you doing? Like, people just over there wasting. Yo, how you feel about Embiid then? You think he should move this summer? No, he gone. He can't move. Niggas can't move. I mean, some of this shit is over with though for some of these teams. Hey, brother, hey, there's some people, listen, he gonna have to walk on.
Starting point is 01:33:39 You ever heard of walk on in college? Like, you didn't get a scholarship? That's Embiid right now. Huh? I'm not saying shit for you. You better walk on. It's dead over there. not saying shit for you. You better walk off. It's dead over there. You better ask for a buyout and call me, motherfucker. We get the feeling that this summer is going to be a lot of movement
Starting point is 01:33:55 going on. A lot of these places are dead weight for these guys. He need a new hip. they need to shave bones off. They got a car to smoke up a little bit. We're going to go in, we're going to shave half your leg off, break it normally. We're going to have to put this in, prop this in. You're going to have to be like- Mark Williams.
Starting point is 01:34:20 Hey, hey, hey, hey, Bron, hey, how you doing? This is me right here. You remember, uh, gold medal, what I did against your... Yeah, yeah. Hmm? I can't get jiggy with this shit. Ooh!
Starting point is 01:34:33 Hey, man, look, I'm charging $1. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, the other teams still pay me $1. Come on, put me on the team. Hey, man. All right. They got 25 cents for you. Well, let's keep this thing moving.
Starting point is 01:34:43 We asked the chat, will Luka ever leave L.A.? 76% say no. Hey, y'all better get that shit up to 77% and be respectful to Luka. You're one short, chat. Percentage point short, but let's keep it moving. So Steph Curry, been the man in the garden throughout his career, was going 11-1 in MSG
Starting point is 01:35:01 during his time with the Dubs, including nine straight wins. And his only loss came during that 54-point outburst in 2013. So Tuesday, the Warriors were in the Big Apple, and Chef Curry did what Chef Curry does. Let's take a look at the highlights. So Steph scored 20 of his 28 points in the second half. 10 for 21 from the field, 5 for 9 from 3. Also had nine dimes. Seven boards.
Starting point is 01:35:25 That's crazy. You can't get an A1 on a tap, Gil. It's a new NBA. Let's look at the chef, man. You know, always performs at a high level every time he's in the garden. That right there is what fucks everybody up. That. So Jimmy Butler added 19 points on six of 12 shooting. Brandon Brzezinski also had 19. Draymond Green had 8 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists. Ooh, look at it.
Starting point is 01:35:51 I, every time he looks up, he's getting an F. Same spot, he broke the three-point record. As will. So Knicks were without Cat, who missed the game due to personal reasons with his status of return to the team uncertain at this time. Steph improved to 12 and 1 at MSG. Ten straight wins.
Starting point is 01:36:05 You heard that right, 10 straight. So in his career, Steph's averaging 26.6 rebounds, two steals, and making five threes per game every time he comes to the Garden with 48-49, 88 shooting splits. So obviously, all played in Madison Square Garden. You call it the best venue in the NBA to play in. What is it about playing in the Garden that brings the best out of Steph Curry?
Starting point is 01:36:30 It's the idea of being the mecca of basketball, right? I mean, Madison Square and just basketball historians have made Madison Square Garden the place to make your name. It's like when you was a singer, it was the Apollo, right? If you wanted to be, you know what I mean? If you wanted to be famous, if you did great there, that's kind of still, even today, the garden itself. You go in the garden and you drop anything that, you know, five threes in a row, they're going to remember. They're basketball fans. You know, they just love great basketball. So if you can go there and turn the crowd to make them go against the opponent, you are, they remember you.
Starting point is 01:37:23 Yeah. Right? No matter how they treat, you know, Trey Young, he is a, like, he's that guy for them. You know, same thing. There's people who,
Starting point is 01:37:38 their legacy is the Garden. Mm-hmm. And that's Curry right now. His legacy is the Garden. And you said he averages only what in there, 26? You wouldn't know? 26. That's throughout his entire career.
Starting point is 01:37:52 I get it, but you wouldn't know? But, I mean, it's a special building to play in. You want to be special in the garden. Like you said, the Mecca. It's the Mecca. If you get a chance to have some good games, get that thing rolling, hitting some shots, man, you feel good coming out of that place. So 12-1 in the league, 13-1 overall.
Starting point is 01:38:11 He won a game there when he was at Davidson in college as well. Look what they did to Lynn Sanity. What about the Warriors, though? The Sanity, like, arena name. Like, the garden, Boston and the garden. Boston garden? Everybody else changed their names
Starting point is 01:38:27 and shit, like Staples, Crypto. Still Staples. That's what I'm saying. In the heart of real ones. That's like the... Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:37 But what about the Warriors though? 10-1 since that Jimmy Butler. I know. Nice. That's a team right there in the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:38:44 Y'all better watch out. Quiet, too. They loud, but quiet. Very. Loud, but quiet. Yeah, it's like... Yeah. It's like they moving like...
Starting point is 01:38:52 Yeah, they moving like champs. Still don't have Kaminga back. Moving like ghosts out here, boy. Yeah, that's going to be the key to them. Like, when Kaminga comes back, how does he fit in? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:39:02 And he's a free agent this year? I think... Or he's still got one more year. We still trying to negotiate that extension. Yeah. The deal like you mentioned, trying to lower that price. Mm-hmm. It's... Right now, I mean, it's really gonna be hard to negotiate with Golden State.
Starting point is 01:39:14 It's winning in they mind, so if you wanna be here as a winner, that's that conversation. Hey, man, we 10-1, man. We over here... Does he start when he come back? We trying to win, so what you talking about, man? You gonna... You wanna be a champion are you talking about, man? You want to be a champion or are you talking about money? So I think he's restricted heading into the summer. Yeah, I'm letting him go. They're going to let him go.
Starting point is 01:39:32 They're going to let him. No, what I'm saying is they're going to let us, they're going to let him test the market and let him negotiate his own value. And basically be able to match whatever. They match whatever they want or whatever you know somebody gets old but if you're coming how you feeling right now this squad obviously nine and one with jimmy butler lineup i want to say 10 or 2 overall i mean their last 12 i don't want to speak for him but i'm pretty sure he's happy you're winning you know i mean you're going
Starting point is 01:40:00 but from a personal bread standpoint me if that team is 2-10, you need me. If he come back and they winning. That will obviously help elevate the bag. You can do some equal dollar shit. They still pay that motherfucker everything. When we was losing, they didn't want to pay me. You think they wouldn't pay me now that they winning without me?
Starting point is 01:40:24 Alright. I'm going to be that motherfucker like, They don't, when we was losing, they didn't want to pick me. You think they wouldn't pick me now that they winning without me? All right. I'm going to be that, I'm going to be that motherfucker like. So who's like, all right. Hey, man, hey. So they hung up again. What he say? Oh, yeah.'d he say? Oh yeah, what'd he say? He said we better have this money. He just hung up. He just hung up. I'm going to stay in. No, because I mean, let's just be, let's, we've been there, right?
Starting point is 01:41:02 He is on, he is on his contract year. When he was playing, he was up and down, but he was doing good. They made a trade, so the element changed. Now they're thinking championship. So you haven't been playing, so you're not a part of this success. So you got to come back and fit in where you get in. Because you're playing and you're losing, it's you.
Starting point is 01:41:29 Right? So now, when they want to bench you, bring you off the bench, do all that goofy shit, it's for the betterment of the team. Yeah, and that's the point I'm trying to make. You really don't have the leverage now. So you have no... But then you wait until they go on like a two-game losing streak Yeah, I mean that's come back
Starting point is 01:41:47 You in there hoping? You want to wait just selfish me I'm gonna just put myself in there so this ain't how NBA players is I think These motherfuckers take a three four game losing streak I'm not coming back in this motherfucker. Like, the one thing you don't want to do, come back, they 10 games. As soon as they lose, you just want to sit there like, everybody looking at you like this. We was rolling before you came back. Rolling before your ass came back.
Starting point is 01:42:14 And somebody might say that. And motherfuckers might say that. Yo, you know they're going to say that. Somebody might say that. Why you come back, man? Like, damn, shit, everything was good about a day ago. Trying to play your ass, trying to fit you in. Yeah. Over here fucking up the rotation.
Starting point is 01:42:27 Fucking up the rotation and shit. It's a real thing. So you want to wait until shit get a little rocky and you slide in. I don't know if shit going to get rocky. Yeah, I mean, I'm looking at their next game. So they're at the Nets. Then they're at home versus the Pistons and Blazers and Kings. Then they got the Knicks.
Starting point is 01:42:44 Shit ain't going to get right. Then the Nuggets. But then they got Nuggets, Bucks. But then after that, it's Raptors, Hawks. So it's... Yeah. The way they're rolling, they can clean up, right? Or out of the next 10, drop three.
Starting point is 01:43:00 That's nothing. It looks like it may... Might be ahead. Lean towards that way for... They're in the sixth bar right now, right? They are in the sixth spot at Adam Silver's Western Conference. So many games are they out of like the third? Damn easy now easy, mr B but to answer your questions
Starting point is 01:43:14 So three games out the fifth spot four and a half games out of the four spot five and a half games out of the third Spot right and doable. Okay. I mean six game right. The way they going. Doable. Six games out of the second spot, but as we know the Lakers will be owning that. Back to the Garn question. Who made the Garn scoring in the Garn so like the aura? That'd be the Knicks. Oh yeah, you gotta ask these. Like Michael Jordan or Reggie Miller.
Starting point is 01:43:42 You said Michael Jordan or Reggie? Michael Jordan. The double nickel? So Michael Jordan probably made it great to play there. Reggie was just the enemy because of the playoffs and stuff, right? Michael's the one who coined the term the Mecca of basketball. Oh, he's the one who coined it. He didn't know that. John Starks.
Starting point is 01:44:02 I know y'all went crazy. But wasn't the Mecca 60s, 70s? It wasn't the 60s to Julius Ervin? It wasn't then? I think I didn't know that John Starks. I know y'all went crazy, but was it was it America? 70s it wasn't the 60s to Julius Erving it wasn't then I Mean yeah, but we're talking about Michael Jordan But he's the one who made it like a thing like go you gotta go in there raw Frazier walk Frazier was no he played there No, but this but don't know what I'm saying. This became like an opponent when I love it on it Oh, yeah, when I'm came in there and shook shit up. Kobe 61 was beautiful too. Who?
Starting point is 01:44:30 Kobe 61. That's what I'm saying. I'm trying to see the start, but then Kobe made it. For us. It kept it. Yeah, it kept it going. Shit, Bron. Is that the only?
Starting point is 01:44:42 That's really the only building. That's what I'm saying. That's the only building like you can go in do well and be known for Been there since yeah, you look at it is now like but back in the day, I think it was Had to be the form Form was huge back in the day They were smoking crack at the form. I think I had the good powder. But think about just the narrative.
Starting point is 01:45:10 But I'm saying, just think about the narrative. Like, when we talk about narrative, like, when you talk about just basketball, you're like, man, I can't wait to play in New York. I can't wait to play in the Garden. That, like, you know what I mean? It's held, it's held this pristine this whole time. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:28 I mean, that's, yeah, yeah. And that's anything though. Boxing, people that have concerts there. I mean, versus whatever's going on. Everything that's going on at the Garden, people are like, should I play at the Garden? Should I vote in the Garden? So it's that.
Starting point is 01:45:43 Yep, like when you think about like rap, like, yeah, I sold out the garden. Like, you know what I mean? Back to back. Like he could have sold out the dome, right? What is that? No, Spurs. He can sell out the Alamo dome, right? You sell out the Madison Square Garden.
Starting point is 01:46:08 You somebody. Because if New Yorkers come out to see you, if they come out to see you, you are somebody. No, you somebody. That's a fact. Man, that's a fact. You come out. They got shit to do.
Starting point is 01:46:21 I got shit to do. For sure. You better break the backboard, motherfucker. Like, you know what I mean? That's how they talk out of it. No, that's a fact. King, you better knock a nigga out. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:46:30 No, we had them cheering for us when I was with the Nets. We played the Knicks in the playoffs. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Y'all was, damn. Cheering their asses up. Oh, we swept their asses. Yeah. Knicks cheering for y'all.
Starting point is 01:46:41 Oh, yeah, absolutely. It's four home games. That was the best shit ever. Because we playing right across the river. Them motherfuckers, yeah, absolutely. It's four home games. That was the best shit ever. Because we playing right across the river, them motherfuckers, they selling out. They not, they okay, but we over there kicking ass and taking names. And we can't get nobody in the building.
Starting point is 01:46:53 We played them in the playoffs. Boy, I was in that motherfucker. Man, I can't wait. Showtime. Oh, man, I destroyed them boys. Kenny, you remember the back and forth with Tim Thomas during that series? I don't... We don't speak that name.
Starting point is 01:47:11 What happened? What happened? I don't know. I don't know. I just see this... Tell us the story. I remember it, Steve, yes. It had nothing to do with me from the beginning, but it ended up... me because of reputation. What you do?
Starting point is 01:47:30 What happened? I didn't fucking do shit. Jason Collins filed that fact on that dude, man. What? Wait, wait, wait. That's what's up. Damn, nigga, man, that's what's up. I didn't do shit.
Starting point is 01:47:41 Because he thought about it, he went back. Right? You know, Jason Collins, foul dude. Uh-huh. Right. You can go look it up. We're not finna give this no energy on this show, man. I ain't talked about this shit yet.
Starting point is 01:47:51 We're not finna. No, you good, Steve. Oh, y'all don't get along? Like I said, Jason Collins, foul dude. Heard him. Foul dude. Yeah, man. That's why I'm like, fuck Hector.
Starting point is 01:48:00 He ain't got no name. Nah. He's fucking up in the back. That's why I'm like, fuck Hector. He be like... So, I was busting their ass, right? And they asked dude a question. He made a statement about what he was going to do when he come back.
Starting point is 01:48:15 And they baited him. Was like, well, you know they got Kenyon over there. And he said some shit like, you know. Yeah, yeah, and it just went from there, man. It was... I had nothing... All the thing I was doing was putting foot
Starting point is 01:48:32 to ass out there on that basketball floor. That's all I was doing. It's that random stray that come out of... You know what I mean? But I... But you know, and y'all know me. Y'all been around me. I don't turn cheeks.
Starting point is 01:48:48 I'm not a turn the cheek kind of a guy. So you start with me. I take it all. I'm going to go with you. That's all, man. And I commenced in game four in the garden, like 36, 14, and five. Take this. This fucking sweeping.
Starting point is 01:49:11 Hey, yo. Don't kick their ass, bro. But no, Steve, yeah, we can talk about it off-air, Steve, but we're not finished. I'll give you all the details. It went way longer and deeper than it should have. Like, way, way, way out of like, so.
Starting point is 01:49:32 You went that far? Yeah, still to this day. Listen, man, I don't. Okay, you are a man of the people. So wait, wait, so y'all ain't. I don't bother nobody. I understand that. So, like, y'all ain't been cool since.
Starting point is 01:49:48 Not to say that you been cool, but it's like, y'all don't. Do y'all want me to tell y'all the story? Yes. Well, Kay, we are on Gills Arena presented by Underdog Woo Boo, and we love to hear stories. If you have a PG-13. Push you? Who?
Starting point is 01:50:01 No, does that have nothing to do? He put his hands on you? Shut up, fool. Hey, y'all want me to give this shit some like this? Like this? So Jason Collins' fire dude, he commits to call me Fugazi. Right? Let him tell a story.
Starting point is 01:50:20 So the media said, when you come back, what you going to do? He said, well, I'm gonna hit somebody well Yeah, you know, they got Kenyon over there. Mm-hmm He fake you forgives it is that in the third Right. Oh you can look it up this I'm doing it right now. He's looking up So I go to shoot around a practice the next day media come and ask me about it what he said Before I go out and talk to the media Our PR people pull me to the side
Starting point is 01:50:52 Do that this to say woo woo woo They had his picture on the back of the post whiny Tim mm-hmm had his name as pitch on because he was whining about whiny Tim. Mm-hmm. I taped the picture to my practice jersey and go talk to the media. That's cold. Trolling in 2003,
Starting point is 01:51:14 2004. 2004, April, 2004. That's hard. They asked me about it. I'm being sarcastic. Like, what y'all talking about? Like, I ain't read no article. Like, what the fuck?
Starting point is 01:51:24 Ain't nobody said nothing to me. But like, I don't know what y'all talking about. But, I ain't read no article. Like, what the fuck? Ain't nobody said nothing to me. But like, I don't know what y'all talking about. But it went from me joking and this, that, and the third, but y'all, then, what I'm, so I told him, straight up locked me and him in a room to go and see what come out. My teammates ain't never questioned me. My teammates ain't never questioned my heart.
Starting point is 01:51:44 My teammates ain't ever questioned me. My teammates ain't never questioned my heart. My teammates ain't never questioned how hard I play. Can't say the same. That's the real bully. No, I'm just speaking facts. I didn't start. Listen, once you start with me, dude. That's what I'm saying. I'm going all in.
Starting point is 01:51:58 So I wanted all action. And it went from on the floor to some shit happened. Listen. You got his address? You say you got his address? No, I ain't getting his address. I just...
Starting point is 01:52:16 So you went and whipped his ass. So let me ask y'all. It went further and further and further. Y'all been around this basketball world is that in the third right? Mm-hmm if somebody allegedly had did some slap me and her did something to me. Mm-hmm, which all I heard about it Yes, right. Yeah Either good or bad like he did do not know he did it in either way. Mm-hmm So then there he told somebody that he slapped me with some money.
Starting point is 01:52:47 With what? Actual? Yeah, that's what was. U.S. currency. Yes, that's what was. So while the guy is telling me the story, he's nervous. I would have. Oh, he would fire you?
Starting point is 01:52:58 The dude that's telling me the story is nervous as he's telling me this. I said, you have never met me before, right? He said, okay. Is nervous as he's telling me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, you've never met me before, right? He said, no. I'm like, I can visibly see that you're nervous as you're speaking to me. Let me ask you, do you think if somebody put their hand, that would have been the narrative and nobody would have ever heard anything about it? He said, no, it's probably highly unlikely. He probably was like, that's just what the man said.
Starting point is 01:53:27 But it ain't got nothing to do with, but you ain't go, no, this is the thing about, I don't bother nobody, man. But that ain't go be no, listen, if I feel threatened enough, we gonna box. So how long did you chase him? Huh? No, I didn't do nothing, listen, though.
Starting point is 01:53:43 So y'all seen each other out? A few times. But I put myself in a situation for shit to happen. Didn't happen. We moved on. Shit was around. Just time as it lapsed. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:53:57 And I did the Woj podcast. Woj was working in New York at the time, Steve. Right? I did the Woj podcast. The year, this is big three time. Right after. did the Woj podcast. The year, this is big three time, right after me. Did the Woj podcast. Woj asked me about it because he was familiar with the situation. I explained the story, how it went, and exact sequence of events.
Starting point is 01:54:26 From the floor to right after we played them in the playoffs, saw him in the club, he said some shit, then he came to Dallas, he damn near lost his life. Damn. Like... My man. No, dudes in Dallas are gonna do something to him. This is real shit. People that was there... I know what you're talking about. John that cut
Starting point is 01:54:44 Kev Hardhair, John's barber. John was there. I just saw John're talking about. John that cut Kev hard hair, John's barber. John was there. I just saw John recently. John brought up me. You remember when... Mm-hmm. Dude... Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about.
Starting point is 01:54:52 No, we in this... We 10 minutes from where I grew up. It would've got nasty had I not. Like, we gonna do. No, y'all not. We feeling it? No, you're not. And it just escalated into something that it never
Starting point is 01:55:07 should because it's like i said it had fucking nothing to do with me from the beginning right but if you start with me so we got a mutual friend no we got so we had al harrington's child's birthday party dude walk in i'm still well on the fence, like, hold on. Yeah, just, so I tell Bud, dude, like, man, you gotta tell me dudes like that gonna be here. Right? But for the kids, right, I'm, I'm, I'm... We both staying in Calabasas at the time. Mm. Mm.
Starting point is 01:55:41 I'm at the grocery store, I got my son with me, KJ with me. There's a picture that me and this dude. I got my son KJ with me There's a picture that me and this dude took with his phone that KJ took right Let's flick it up do show people that cool Take the picture. I do the wolves podcast He want to put the picture out there look talking about I look shook in the picture this that and the third Look at him. He looks shook in the picture, this, that, and the third. Wow.
Starting point is 01:56:05 Look at him. He looks shook in the picture. At a grocery store in Cali. And I got on flip-flops. At a grocery store in Cali. With my son. Nice ass bro. So Pete. I hope it was the Rouse Fresh Beer.
Starting point is 01:56:14 It was. I see. The Rouse Fresh Beer. So. For various of fine fried chips. So he posts the picture, right? I don't have access to the picture. He posts it on his page.
Starting point is 01:56:22 Say I look nervous. So I go on the page and. So unnecessary. I thought we was cool. He posted on his page. Say I look nervous, so I go on the page and... I thought we was cool. No, we ain't never been fucking cool. That's what he said? I thought we were cool. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 01:56:34 I responded. On the picture, we ain't never been fucking cool. You was a clown then, you're a fucking clown now. I don't deviate, man. I don't bother nobody. God damn. I stay out the way for a reason, man. I stay the fuck in the house.
Starting point is 01:56:50 I fuck with y'all because y'all... I don't bother people, man. For these exact reasons. That's weird, though. So, but... That is weird. Hey, but...
Starting point is 01:57:01 We got you. But my thing is, like I said... If you don't, we gonna jump that mother... But the thing is like I said, you know, we're gonna jump that but The thing is see say less and it's been it's been other situation and things happen in and I'm try to Take the I just don't allow it. Oh, no. Yeah, we don't The situation just don't allow it
Starting point is 01:57:22 Yeah, we don't we don't we don't show this motherfucker We don't allow it. Yeah, we gonna... We gonna... We gonna scale this motherfucker up. We gonna scale this motherfucker. We own it. We own it. This ain't got nothing to do with it. Nick, you in it. I ain't never... Little Timmy.
Starting point is 01:57:35 Like, I don't speak on it, right? Little Tim. Like, I don't speak on it, right? And then you got clown motherfuckers out here, like, nigga like Julius Hodge, want to speak on shit, some shit that happened, the legend. Like, dude, what? And then you got clown motherfuckers out here like nigga like Julius Hodge want to speak on shit some shit that happened, the legend. Like, dude, what the fuck are you talking about? So, this shit then got way
Starting point is 01:57:51 out of control and way out of, like... Like, you ever swear it up one time? No, never. Never? Never. It was just the reporter stuff where they'd be like, yo, he was like, yeah, I'm... You know, like, if you get hit hard, you're going to be like, I got... Like, he got hit and he didn't play no like, yo, he was like, yeah, I'm... You know, like, if you get hit hard, you're gonna be like, I got... Like, he got hit.
Starting point is 01:58:05 He didn't play no more. Like, he didn't play the rest of the series. Yeah. Called you Fugazi several times. I got to get back. And if you go listen to the commentating during the games, I think Rex Chapman and John Thompson is doing the game, and John Thompson convinced to say,
Starting point is 01:58:19 well, I don't know what Fugazi mean, but if Kenyon Martin is that, give me a few of them Right wait cuz the way he I had kicking y'all How them yes Jason Collins Which one? Jason Jason Which one is that Jason?
Starting point is 01:58:40 That's the one so what you want Jason Collins that played for the net Jason and Jaron Jason Collins played that played for the Nets. Jason and Jaren. Jason and Jaren. Jason Collins played with me on the New Jersey Nets. Oh, okay, okay. He fouled you. And shit went left. How did he foul him? I don't fucking know.
Starting point is 01:58:57 Go watch the clip, Nick. Did he grab him? Was it like this? You want it like this? Like this? I was just about to say, was it like this? Was it like this? You want it like this? Like this? I was just about to say, was it like this? See, but... See, Nick trying to take this in, but...
Starting point is 01:59:12 Yeah, I know, I know. No, but we're not finna do that. I've only, listen, I've only spoken on this shit once, and that was a woe, right? Uh-huh. So you spoke to woes, but you got to bring it to the arena. No, but, but, because it... if you ask me a question, right? Like I said, I didn't, but y'all, we here, right?
Starting point is 01:59:30 Yeah, I mean, we've been there. We can see how something is. I'm looking at the file. It's not like it was that. But I didn't file it. I know, I know. Listen, had I filed him, it's warranted. Yes.
Starting point is 01:59:45 My reputation at the time, I had had a few couple, you know what it is at this point, but it had fucking nothing to do with me. I'm just out here playing basketball very well at the time. I don't want no action with nobody, though. I want a hoop. Because the man told me if I punch one of y'all in the game, he's going to kick me out the league.
Starting point is 02:00:01 Damn. So you want a nigga with two strikes? Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Shout out to Melvin from Baby Boi. You know what I'm saying? You want a nigga with two strikes?
Starting point is 02:00:11 Yeah, I heard you. Yeah, I heard you. Yeah, I heard you. Yeah, I heard David Stern. I heard you hear me, too. Yeah, I heard David Stern. Son, if you want to continue to be a part of this NBA, you would change your ways. See what I'm talking about, cuz.
Starting point is 02:00:24 So guess what? Yeah, I heard ways. See what I'm talking about. So guess what? Yeah, I heard. See what I'm talking about. But, yeah, man, it's shit like that. It's a lot. Hey, man, hey. You know what I love this show? A conversation about Steph Curry cooking in Madison Square Garden will lead us down this pathway.
Starting point is 02:00:39 Appreciate it, Steve. That's a, hey, that's. Good job, Steve. Steve. Good producing, Steve. It was a good job. It was in New York. Yeah. Was it? Yeah. Oh. But, hey. We tied stuff Good job, Steve. Good producing, Steve. It was a good job. It was in New York. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:00:46 Oh, but hey, we had game. You tied yourself in. You like a true New Yorker. Hey, you know, Steve wanted to ask that question for about six months. Finally got it in. Found the perfect opportunity. He was nervous to ask. Behind the glass, too.
Starting point is 02:00:58 Hey, can you, uh... Hey, can you, what about, uh... Right, sound like the reporter I told you? Man, it's just what the man said. It ain't me, man. Yeah, you don't be like, but no, hey, what about a... Right? Sound like the reporter I told you? Man, that's just what the man said. It ain't me, man. Yeah, you'll be like, but no, hey, man. So do not call you Fugazi. Noted.
Starting point is 02:01:11 Was not going to ever do that anyway. No, because it don't fit. Like, I ain't never... So this is the thing. Like, what had I done up to that point to be that? Right? Get better at basketball, been in a couple scuffles. But ain't nobody... What has, ain't nobody ever,
Starting point is 02:01:27 so what, it just didn't, it was unwarranted. Because he couldn't call, what for calling that, though? Say it again? Because he would have got kicked out the league if he would have called. He wouldn't, shut up, Nick. Move on. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:01:42 Let's talk a little bit about the big one. In all clarity, the news went out yet, Nick, since you want to keep fucking going down. I don't know what time this is. Yes, since you want to keep going down. Let's talk about the Knicks. Let's talk about the New York Knickerbockers. Knicks are 84 in their last 12 games,
Starting point is 02:01:57 but 0-7 against the Cavs, Celtics, and Thunder this season. That's even funnier. At 40-21, they're currently third in the East with a four-and-a-half game lead over the Bucks and Pacers, but are three games behind the Celtics for the second spot. It's funnier than that. So, how concerned should the Knicks be with their inability to beat the top teams in the league at this point in the season?
Starting point is 02:02:15 Wait. What'd you say? I was thinking about that. Knicks can't beat the good teams. Yeah. Knicks are 0-7 against the Cavs, Celtics, and Thunder. Oh, yeah. We know that already.
Starting point is 02:02:23 So, why is that a... But 40-21, third in the East. Should there be a concern? Yes, there should be. Should there be a concern for the other team? No, how concerned should the Knicks be with their inability to beat the top teams in the league? What is the concern? The concern is that they can't...
Starting point is 02:02:37 Because they're going to have to play one of them in the playoffs. Oh, then they know they lost. I don't... What is the concern? They begin to ass-who whooped all motherfucking... I'm just saying, if they know they got to play a good team, they just...yeah. But it's crazy though, with Tibbs though, being a defensive coach, you would think that they would be better defensively.
Starting point is 02:02:59 So they're fifth in offensive efficiency, 19th in defensive efficiency this year. Did Mitchell ever come back yet? He has returned. It's actually the opposite. It's the opposite. So they got worse since... They got better offensively. That usually happens.
Starting point is 02:03:11 I mean, not enough of a sample size yet to be definitive in. They're worse offensively. Because they're not trying to fit people in that ain't been there all year. You ain't make no room for them now. But they've been playing a certain way. You ain't got to fit him in offensively.
Starting point is 02:03:26 Shit. He should help. He'll rim protect him. They defenses. He's only been back three games. As you know, face the Lakers tomorrow here in Los Angeles. We will be there. That's another loss for them.
Starting point is 02:03:45 It'll be enjoyable for them at least. They get to watch Luka. Yeah, I don't know why we should have picked them to go to the finals. It looked alright. It's premature. Based on things that were trending before the season, I think it wasn't a bad decision. But if you're Jalen Bruss right now, how are you feeling? You gave up the bread to build this competitive environment.
Starting point is 02:04:07 You gave up five first-round picks for Mikael Bridges. They gave OG the largest contract in Knicks history, if I'm not mistaken. Really? For real? 220? 220? OG?
Starting point is 02:04:21 Shout-out to my corner, niggas. Shout-out to OG, fan of the show. Saw him at Summer League. He knew who I was. It's a big deal to be here. I mean, even though they're still doing good, it just doesn't look good. They can't beat the good teams? It's like, I mean, just hopefully that they can get the monkey off their back.
Starting point is 02:04:41 I mean, you don't want to go in the You haven't beat you know any team that's worthy that that's gonna sit on you in the playoffs Right, so you're gonna have to get some big wins. You're gonna have to beat the Lakers the OKC if you got Are they done with a Boston? Let me see That I hope so. That's true. In the playoffs, they'll play, who, they'll play Orlando or somebody? Bro, they'll play Detroit, and they might get smacked.
Starting point is 02:05:12 No. If your confidence ain't man, listen, if you sit and have an identity problem, brother, that shit, that shit, you probably might smack them. One more game against Boston. So, like, for them, listen, as much as they lost, if they beat Lakers, they beat OKC, they beat the shit, if they beat Cavs
Starting point is 02:05:32 or Boston, if they can get three out of the four, they can feel comfortable about themselves. Alright, we actually good. We just been fucking off. But if they go one and four against them, an 0-4, and they slap. So one more game against Boston, I believe one more game against Cleveland. Those are the games
Starting point is 02:05:46 I will be focusing all my eggs on that because at this point it ain't about winning. We have a winning record. It's about beating teams that we feel we're on the same level
Starting point is 02:05:57 or better than. That we could possibly face in a month and a half. But if you're the Celtics or Cavs, you put your best foot forward for those games just to play my games with them.
Starting point is 02:06:06 Yes. It's like Denver did to the Lakers. Hell yeah. No matter how good we, like when we see them, we all, oh, shit, these motherfuckers, they whooped our ass from the beginning to the end.
Starting point is 02:06:15 Are you talking about the previous season? Last, no, but what I'm saying is like, think about it. I mean, just, what I'm saying is thinking about it. We are a current show. The one team, like we think we're on the same level as them
Starting point is 02:06:24 and they just smacking the fuck out of us. So the mind control that the Denver had over the Lakers was, Denver felt any time we play them in the playoff, they're already naturally scared. Yeah. You don't want to go into the playoffs, Nick, and they can't beat none of those teams that's in front of them. It's an automatic win.
Starting point is 02:06:44 It's like motherfucking Michael Jordan, you know, coming into a game like, oh, shit, here come the Bulls, right? You know, the 73 Golden State Warriors, they won the game in layup line. That's a real thing. Until the final. I mean, it's a real thing. Facts. But I think with Boston, I think with the Knicks for Boston,
Starting point is 02:07:04 I think when Jason Tatum came down in that first play and dunked on him, I think that right there just, it was like, he just let it be known, like, yo, it don't matter. When we see y'all, we're going to kick y'all ass. I think they already been punked. In the first game, whooping ass by 20, 30 by the half. You let somebody come down in the first play and dunk on you in the garden? I think it's going to be more dunked that much. somebody come down the first play and dunk on you in the garden? Man, we can forget about it.
Starting point is 02:07:27 Shit, it was going to be one dunk that much to dunk somebody first. That's what I'm saying. You coming down two hands on somebody? Come on, dog. Do the Knicks got to play the Hawks anytime soon? The New York Knickerbockers. In the garden. Because I can tell you right now, if, let's say, you got to be,
Starting point is 02:07:44 if you can beat Trey, uh in the garden You might have a chance Man Trey young been whooping They've lost twice to the Hawks and beat them twice beat them twice. Two-two this season. Oh, so they done. All right, yeah. So they beat them. But they beat them in the garden? They did beat them in the Madison Square Garden.
Starting point is 02:08:12 How much did he have? They're actually going to play one more time because one of those games was a playing tournament. Oh, playing what? Oh, that was a playing tournament. So what did he have in the garden when he lost? Who? Trae Young.
Starting point is 02:08:23 I'm looking it up right now, Gil. I'm a man of the game. They're playing one more time. So you think Detroit could beat the Knicks? Yeah, for sure. The way they're playing right now? Yeah. One has confidence.
Starting point is 02:08:33 What doesn't matter? That confidence is high. It's just the confidence. And they're young. They just go. It's just confidence. They mean. Like, playoffs is confidence, man.
Starting point is 02:08:40 Talent takes over, though. True, true. I mean, experience. Experience. But don't think about towns. What do they got that's going to stop towns? Allen takes over though in the play. I mean I mean experience experience, but Don't think about towns where they got they gonna stop town with the big confidence if I Go in there hit him in his chest that muffling ain't thinking like like if the people go back Detroit Detroit oh for when they beat the Lakers. What was the regular season record? I guarantee you the regular season record has to be 1-1 or 0-2.
Starting point is 02:09:11 Lakers over, I mean Detroit over Lakers. It was 1-1. No 1-1? In that 0-3, 0-4 season. That Detroit team is scary, dog. It's under the radar, too. So a Lakers one at home and then the Pistons won at home. What a beautiful day.
Starting point is 02:09:33 Here in the arena. Y'all bringing up that year, bringing up old shit. We are at current show. This is where you talked about the Lakers' nuggets. I was with him with it. Trae Young had 38 and 19 in that last loss. So he won. That motherfucker
Starting point is 02:09:48 won in the Garden of God. 38 and 19. Now, when we said confidence, right? The team lost. Look what he still did. Do you think do you think Trae Young against the Knicks I don't give a fuck
Starting point is 02:10:03 what their record is. Do you think he's going in there thinking they can beat him? No. No. Just him alone with that kind of confidence fucks the Knicks up. He's the only one that really believes, yo, these motherfuckers can't guard me and I'm taking over the guard and that's
Starting point is 02:10:20 you don't want to play against a person who feels they have that kind of advantage over you. Yeah. Yeah That's one person like it even if That's one person. Oh, you need is a motherfucker one. I'm 38 Hawks in the night spot right now To game Two games out of seven spots? I wouldn't want to play the Hawks. I think no matter what they say, he's going for it. I wouldn't want to play the Hawks. They can fuck around and play the Hawks first round.
Starting point is 02:10:49 If Trey get going, there's 20 games left. That's a great playoff series. Two and a half out of seven. That's a great playoff series. That's the funnest playoff series. For the first round? That'd be hard. Trey Young versus New York City.
Starting point is 02:11:05 And the first game being New York? I'm making a bet. I got Hawks in six. That's a cold one here. Mm-mm. They beat me before. You rarely get, like, good, exciting. First round.
Starting point is 02:11:19 Just playoff rounds. Like, it feels like a rivalry still. Like get that you get the old 80s 90s feel Last time they played each other the Hawks And they went to the Eastern Conference finals, I mean he beat them yeah, he beat them New York down down bad. Similar to the World Series. Damn. Damn.
Starting point is 02:11:51 You talked about Shohei earlier. It was on my mind. How was that game one, Gil? I know Steve ain't like that. How was that game one? Man. How was that game one? You know we're doing baseball this year.
Starting point is 02:12:01 Let's do it. Dodgers? Can we get the Dodgers? I'm a Dodger fan. Good job. Good. Yo the Dodgers Blackanese You think you can hit a pass that our underdog, huh? Then you can hit a fastball 80 or 90, but I'm Cuban brother Oh my god They voted us the fuck over here my whole family was baseball we need to see a birth certificate
Starting point is 02:12:36 You can turn that motherfucker down to 50. He couldn't hit it. That's what I'm saying. You said 80 or 90 I said a fastball and eight or nine impossible. What good a, there's one right there. We can go to baseball dynamics, dude. What? We can go to baseball dynamics. You can catch up with it, but you go on. At first? Oh, no, no, at first, no. 50 miles an hour? You know how fast 50 miles an hour move? Brother, brother. And a small object?
Starting point is 02:12:55 I go to, I go to, I go to the National Castle, baby. And I hit the 60 miles an hour softball. The shit hurt. I'm going to just be honest with you. That shit hurt. It does hurt your hands. The softball is bigger. The softball is big.
Starting point is 02:13:10 The motherfucking baseball is big. I like how they line green. You can see that motherfucker, right? But the oddball, that's the family. That's the family. Yeah, we should do a softball. We in this country because of baseball. Yeah, we can go to Baseball Dynamics,
Starting point is 02:13:25 buy a cake, I'll get you on the Hack Attack. When's the last time you hit a baseball, Gil? Right. Right. 80-80-cell. What the hell? Out the motherfucking window. Boom! 80, Nick?
Starting point is 02:13:39 80-80-cell. You standing there, that motherfucker going at 80, you won't get the bat off your shoulder. And when you be standing there, that motherfucker, it be pow, you the bat off your shoulder And we all be standing that motherfucker be like shit You gonna be like window put the ball this you can tell him when to put the ball in the machine and you still won't move Motherfuckers in the major league have a hard time seeing that motherfucking ball. Nigga, you... Yeah.
Starting point is 02:14:10 Well, speaking... I don't even... Trust me. And fucking around, foul that bitch off your foot. Nigga, you done for the day. Speaking of having a hard time seeing balls... You done. Natural transition here.
Starting point is 02:14:21 So golfer Tom Kim, a member of Tiger Woods TGL squad, went viral for all the wrong reasons on Tuesday. So after his premature celebration during a chip shot, was eerily reminiscent to another premature celebration. Let's take a look. Wow. Wow. I already know where this is going. Starting point is 02:15:45 Oh, you did? Yeah, yeah. So he checked. Yeah. He checked. And we was whooping New York ass, so... Iman was talking shit, so I was feeling good. Did you score after that though?
Starting point is 02:15:57 Yeah. Okay, I'm just making sure. I mean... No, I'm just letting you know you scored after that, after you missed that, or was that it? Nails? You know, a little stressed. Did you scored after that, after you missed that, or was that it? Because he bit his nails. You know, a little stress. He just didn't score here. Yes, motherfucker.
Starting point is 02:16:09 Why didn't you just keep doing it every time? Because I didn't even think about it. Oh, I didn't. Oh, yeah. Shut up. Shut up. He was biting my shit. Look.
Starting point is 02:16:19 He was eating his nails over here. I didn't know how big that meme was going to be, but I knew for sure it was going to be on Shaq and the Fool because it was like at the time when Shaq was just killing like JaVale. Starting point is 02:16:51 I'd be like, no, Shaq, don't leave them alone because they give you all the material you need to keep fucking with them. Man, he just be bullying them. No, no, no. He wouldn't have the material. Starting point is 02:19:56 Yeah. He had asthma, so when he got tired, lost oxygen. We just going to blame it on that. I'm just trying to figure out how to make up some shit. He did a lot of crazy shit. No, no, he did. He did a lot of crazy shit. No, no he did. Very good basketball player as well. He got better, but you used to be sitting there like Like he'd come out you just be like He was trying to be a guard or something. That's funny.

I ain't got to worry about like mismatches of guard. We just get to go out there and just play basketball? I ain't got no concepts, plays. I ain't got to worry about like mismatches of guard. We just get to go out there
Starting point is 02:23:47 and just play basketball. Oh, my God. Oh, for the cold, man. So let's move over to this side of the couch. Kenyon, who's your most underrated teammate? Like you said,

Starting point is 02:24:13 He was a torch, motherfucking practice. I had them rookies. Was it going into it? It was either going into his rookie season where we had the all LA, is it EBC World Games? Yeah. And Baron, so he was with Baron and then Baron put him on the LA team. Despite.
Starting point is 02:24:32 So yeah, we went to New York and I'm sitting like, who the fuck is this? No, I thought he was coming out here, I thought he was just an athlete, I thought he just could jump. Nah. He makes shots, boy. He handled it, shoot it. He was supposed to go to Duke. Yeah, he makes some bad, he just could jump. Nah. He makes shots, boy. He handled it, shoot it.
Starting point is 02:24:45 He's supposed to go to Duke. Yeah, he made some bad... That shot made it. But he was... He was... Yeah. Anybody they put in front of him in practice was... It was on the grill.
Starting point is 02:24:58 He was torturing dudes. I think for me, I'm going to go... I'm going to go with Will Bynum and DJ Augustine. That's great. Some great practices, some just great one-on-ones. Really helped my game out a lot. Will Bynum. That's Stocky coming in there every day.
Starting point is 02:25:21 Will the drill. Yes. So you was there when Chuck came? You were there when they traded for AI? No, no. He was gone? Yeah, I was gone. Man, Will Biden, we played them after the fact.
Starting point is 02:25:33 He walked up to me. He was like, fuck you. He said, what the hell would I do? He said, Chuck told me what you said about me, nigga. I was like, oh. He was laughing when he said it. Will's that guy. He took us out of Chicago. He had 50.
