Welcome back to Gills Arena, presented by Underdog.
Whoop, whoa, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo.
A glorious Wednesday here in Gilz Arena.
So I can see you have a towel with you.
Oh man.
Yeah, I had to take a little whole bath in the car before I got here.
A whole bath in the car.
Yeah, I didn't want you to smell me.
I have to.
Washing up as we call it in something.
But not a real shower.
Not a real shower.
Not a real shower, you know.
It was raining a little bit, so I got some of the rain.
Win.
Rain and wind?
The rain came down.
I said, f.
When, today?
Yeah, a little bit.
Oh.

I believe I washed up in the rain.
See, that's crazy.
I went to the gym.
I went to the gym.

he should be out of the house early. You're not the one to drop him off, I hope. No, no, no,
because they're going to be listening. You know, a certain amount of tardies, motherfucking
absence. They like daddy, mama, please don't let daddy take us to school. You know, they don't
be tripping. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're not, yeah. They rely on. No, no, no, no. Stop,
Stop, stop.

But this is Gills Arena presented by Underdog Woo-Woops.
I just want to say we appreciate y'all for pulling up to our Tuesday double stream with Gills
Arena and the Arena gridiron yesterday.
Productive Day gave you on nearly four hours of content.
We know you are bored.
We had to fill your day for you.
We'll keep that going throughout the season.
But I'm merely host Josiah Johnson.
And as always, we got NBA legend and NBA 2K legend Gilbert Arenas.
Recently, a car, ho shower, what's just called a ho shower?
Yeah, a ho-bather.
A recent ho-batherer.
Former NBA champion of the world's Swaggy Pete, Nick Young.
And on this side, we have the punctual distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff, former number one pick, Kenyon Martin.
That is, Kay, you will be on time when time is involved.
What I'm talking about?
And if you're not on time with Kenyan, you will get left, as I had to learn the hard way a few times.
Catch that Uber exit airport, but we got a lot to discuss today.
Nothing more important than the return of.
You see it.
Can we get my shoes, please?
Those are nice.
Okay, no, all right.
Oh, you see him.
The LeBron, LeBron James is.
He's back, Gil.
All is right in the world.
We got a lot to get into.
Here's what's cracking in Gil's.
arena today. LeBron made his debut for his NBA record 23rd season. Do the Lakers have
enough to be a real contender in the West? The Rockets have won nine of their last 10 games
and are on pace for the highest offensive rating in league history. How far can their dynamic
duo of KD and Alper and Shangoon take them this season? And Shea Gildedis Alexander and
Nicole Yokic are the front runners in the MVP race yet again. But what does Joker need to do
to dethrone SGA? Before we get into all that, as always, this show is
brought to you by Underdog.

So let's get right to it.
No reason to beat around the bush.
We've got to talk about the biggest story last night.
LeBron missed the first 14 games in season while dealing with the sciaticas.
But Tuesday night, Brian added another record to his legacy,
becoming the first player in league history to play 23 seasons.
So just how long has LeBron been in the league?
Well, 82 current NBA players were born after his NBA debut in October of 2003.
So we talked about how LeBron would fit with this Lakers offense,
with Luca putting together an MVP-level season,
Austin Reeves emerging as a star,
where we got our first glimpse with the Lakers taking on the Jazz at the crib,
and it looks promising.
Let's check out the highlights.
God is good.
He will, won't he?
Brown pulled up to the arena more than five hours before the game
in anticipation of his debut.
We see the chalk toss.
We know it was game time.
Little rusty to start.
Didn't get his first buck until early in the second quarter.
But LeBron was out there doing this thing.
Looking like LaMagic Bronson,
embracing the role as facilitator.
Brown finished with 11 points on 4-07 shooting
and a game high 12 assists in his 30 minutes
action. Six of those 12 assists came in the fourth quarter to help the Lakers put the
game out of reach. Brian also made two threes in the game passing Reggie Miller
for sixth all time on the career list. Slovenia and Jesus continued his offensive
domination. Luca dropped 17 of his 37 points in the third quarter, adding 10
assists, five rebounds, and four steals. It was Lucas' seventh 35-point game this
season. Papad de Limon, Austin Reeves added 26 and five boards and DeAndre Aden had
20 and 14 boards for his third straight 20-point double double. Lori
and Kiante George had the jazz rolling early.
Marketing finished with 31 points, George had 34 and eight dimes.
The game was close through most of the first three quarters.
But then the Lakers do, what the Lakers do.
Oh, hold on, there you see it.
Dime time.
Lakers went on a 21 to five run to end the third quarter
to take a double-digit league with plays like that.
I saw beautiful city jerseys, city back on fire.
Luke out here celebrating.
Rhonda Aiden.
And Ronnie got some time, too.
And after JJ Reddick had told him to shoot the effing ball,
Ronnie heated his advice knocking down a game-cealing three-pointer.
Game ceiling.
Yeah.
It was out of reach at that point.
We were watching on playback doing the stream.
The stream cut off in every day when he hit it.
The internet said the internet said the.
job here is done. The work is done.
Leggars put up to see no moat. There was nothing left
to be seen. Game sealed.
No way the jazz were going to come back after that.
Leggars put up a season high, 140 points
that approved to 11 and 4, moving to 4th in the Western
Conference with their third straight win.
After the game, LeBron and Luca had this to say
about Brown's first game with the purple and gold.
It was just fun to be out there with the guys, man.
Like I said, it's been rough mentally for me.
It's the first time I started a basketball season
and not played since I've started playing basketball at like nine years old.
I've never missed the beginning of a basketball season.
And so, you know, just going through that, you know, physically, emotionally, spiritually,
and everything just testing me and just keeping my head down, you know, with the work
and then keeping my head up with faith.
You know, it's got me to this point today.
And it's just great to have a lot of joy, a lot of probably seeing me smiling and talking
a lot on the court today, just being out with those guys just so fun.
Was that yesterday's practice, post-practice?
I can fit in with anybody to...
I don't know you understand why that was even a question.
What's wrong with these people out here?
I can fit in right and win with anybody.
It's 23rd season.
It's insane.
And just sharing the call with him, it's special.
And he sees things that other people can.
So he's here to help us all.
So it's amazing.
And it's only his first game back,
and he played the main.
So I'm excited to play some more.
So LeBron now holds the records for the most points,
rebounds, assists, steals, threes,
and double doubles for a player in their 23rd season.
He doesn't?
I like the narrative, are you saying?
It is narrative pushing Wednesday, good.
This is also the first time in May history that a father
replaced their son in the starting lineup.
Brian got the start against a buck.
You're on a row, no.
You're on a row, no.
He pays you.
How much they pay you?
I did get a nice pair.
a nice pair, a lovely pair of LeBron's
wearing a shoulder today and support.
Full transparency.
But Gil, watch that game last night,
on playback, playback watch party.
How did LeBron look in his year's 23 debut?
Okay, when you add 23 year,
then obviously he's going to,
it's an A plus plus plus because
we've seen what the rest of the field
looked like at 22, 21 season,
20th season.
So, you know,
it was just
It was just great to see how much attention that he still commands.
I mean, I don't know if it was the second play.
He basically had a triple team.
And the fact that that's what's still happening today makes it even easier for, you know,
some of the shooters that we have on the roster.
So with him, Luca, and AR demanding that much attention, I mean,
Aiton's going to, his plays has to go up, right?
you know, Marcus Smart on his side, you know, hitting those open shots.
Rui doing whatever that shit he does, that he learned in Japan.
Like, I'm just saying, like, it's very, it's very outdated basketball,
like some of his post moves is like from the 80s, right?
It looks like he has no American training.
Turn around and just turn around, just, you know, just like, yeah, it's real real.
Hey, no faiths.
It's like, Chris.
Like, Coley, you do what you do.
But, you know, the fact that it's, the fact that he's still getting triple team just opens up the game so much more.
So they see, like, that second half.
I mean, the first half is rough because, you know, he's trying to fit in.
Everybody's still trying to play their game.
But in the second half, it looked like well-old machine.
Chip City.
2026 is right on schedule.
Kenney, a current Lakers fan.
I don't have to throw that in, can you?
You know what?
What happened?
Let me just take off the Chip City
in the 2026 until after he does this thing.
Caneyet Lakers fan adjacent, hoping to bring you over to this side at some point.
You know there's only one way that's going to happen.
I've been making calls.
I've been working my background.
The way that's going to ever happen, so.
Also sent some tape of cash.
I know he's only a second grade, but artists to get their mind prepared.
Yeah, that's in the future.
But in all sincerity, obviously,
Lakers 140 points
season high
Brian coming back
said
talked about it
on the show
yesterday how
he said he could fit
in with any
team in the world
and play his role
seemed to do a good job
of that
in this game
people like this is a new team
like no man
if he wanted to come out
early and be aggressive
offensive
and take shots he would have
he's a smart
basketball player
man he ain't played
this long
physically and his
mental game
has always been
above most people
So he understands where he can get his spots.
He understands how to fit in like Gil's point he made yesterday.
He's played on the Olympic team.
So being in that surrounding where you had to dump your game down,
but then turn it on when they need you, he's able to do that.
So yesterday wasn't surprised him to come out and be the facilitator that he was,
have double-digit assist in the first game,
and let just let the offense come.
Yeah, I'm not, let his scoring come.
Rather.
Still being like, this is the, it's a misconception when people tell you to be aggressive offensive
they think you have to shoot it every time, right?
You can be aggressive to be a playmaker.
And I think him being aggressive to be a playmaker, getting to his spots, but choosing
to pass on those spots with guys cutting and open looks and things like that, yes, he's getting
this spot still.
So it's, yeah, he's being aggressive, but he's being aggressive to be a playmaker and not
a score.
The scoring will come, right?
Because, like the year said, they're paying Utah.
They're dumb.
They got the triple team to man this first game back.
Like, they're stupid.
So you picked the right game to come back, like I said yesterday.
Yeah.
Right?
You picked the right game to come back.
You want to go come back against OKC or nobody like that.
That'd be Houston and those shit like that.
Like, no, that's not smart.
Right?
You come back against a lesser team that gave up 140 points.
Shit.
So play the Jazz Tuesday.
They also played the Jazz Tuesday.
They also played the Jazz again on Sunday.
Brian could have came back for that game.
I'm sure he wanted to get his lungs acclimated
before he has to go to the musty Salt Lake City
Aaron play a game on the road.
Absolutely.
But Swaggy looking at that, Brian,
seven field goal attempts, 30 minutes.
Like Kenyon said, was out there looking for his teammates.
Man.
Six dimes in the fourth quarter
in like a three-minute stretch of the game.
The game is slowing down.
Well, it's not slowing down now,
but you can tell when you're older,
the game comes easier.
You see things easier.
slows down, you know more than the rest of the players out there, you know where to find
your spots. You're having more fun because each game, you know, you're coming closer
to the end. I know Aiden enjoyed it. Everything he passed, Aidan was, I don't think he had
any of them passes so far. You know, and that's, it's beautiful, man. But can he, can LeBron
make, he can still make an all-star team averaging like four, 15?
right 15 and 8 you get voted in but this LeBron Jay I'm about to say if you keep
playing like this he's gonna play more years they don't put him on an all-star game in
Los Angeles press me life will find a way it'll be a down year for the
officer game again three three people hmm getting three two two is you talking
about if we if we never want a two they'll throw also in there but yeah too there's two
Guaranteed to.
Guaranteed to.
With or without him is two, but with two.
Still two?
Yeah.
I mean, this is his best year to make it because it's in LA.
Who?
Also.
Him and Daddy.
Some billboards up there, right on the weekend and force people to look up there like,
you know what?
Austin.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Let's get him.
I feel like no problem getting the fan vote.
Obviously, it is weighted with that other 50% coming from elsewhere.
But we know Luke is in.
Look is in.
You think LeBron pretty much good to go, Gil.
When you talk about LeBron, only seven field go attempts, serving in the road facility?
He was Bronny James for a little bit.
I had to ask the question that, you know, like, because he served in for Bonnie, did he take
Bonnie Powers?
And if that's the case, can you put Brian in to see if he was going to do what his daddy
do?
But he turned it on in the second half.
Man, you got to let the game come to you, man.
No, you don't.
You don't have to.
At that age, yes.
You got to run up and down a couple times.
You can't jump in.
You don't have to.
You don't have to.
It's smart for you to do.
It's smart for you.
Smart basketball players, you know.
We look at him as a smart basketball player, so no.
He can you do what I did.
Miss 14 game, come out there, motherfucker, fur, three, four, five possessions.
Bring it on here.
Bring it on, shoot myself in rhythm.
Younger, yeah, but I'm talking about at this age, she got, you take your time at this age.
You know, you know the narratives that is really bad that people really
really stick to.
They do it with USA basketball when they're picking their team, right?
They always ask that question.
We're going to pick guys that fits our team, right?
So they're just, you know, we don't know if he'll fit in.
But you know, like, all the basketball players that's in the league,
they've played basketball,
elementary, middle school, different AAU teams, college.
They've been on all types of team with all type of players,
and they had to fit in at some point.
They had to adjust their game.
So the fact that you're that you're that naive to say,
I'm not going to put these guys together because they're not going to fit.
You put those guys together, they're going to see what each other does well,
and they're going to figure it out.
And that's what happens here
These are NBA
These are the elite of the elite
Like you really have to be stubborn
Not to want to figure it out
That's all it is
I'm too stubborn
Like I know he can do this
But I'm setting my ways
That's that personality
That's rare in the NBA
You come across it but it's rare
Most players
You put an all-star team together
They figure it out
They know what I'm good at
And what I'm not good at
If they're trying to win
If they're trying to win
they're going to figure it out.
Like, it's no point.
This is the Lakers, it's Hollywood.
We talked about in the offseason.
Obviously, Luca getting his extension,
kind of how LeBron was feeling coming into year 23.
Polink is saying, you know,
he hopes that he could stay with the Lakers.
That would be a positive story,
but being more or less non-committal.
LeBron having to opt into the final year's deal
for the first time in his career.
So naturally, there was going to be some discussion
about how he's going to be able to acclimate
and fit in with his team.
They have 14 games without him.
I was 10 and 4 at that point
before he came back last night.
And it seems like, hey, I'm just going to fall in line.
at least when we've seen for this first game sample size
and do what I can to help the team win.
Oh, LeBron.
Like, I'm still confused.
I'm like,
I'm saying what people were feeling out there
and there are all browns go come in and mess up the chemistry.
That's why I mentioned.
I said, this is not the Olympic team, right?
Where there's a Kevin Durant, there's a Curry.
Right?
There's an NB.
There's a Booker.
It's not that team.
He's coming back to his own team that he was, he's been here forever.
It's that team.
He's coming back to his own team.
Build boards everywhere that got the champion.
That's his team.
There's a new guy here, but it's still his team while he's there.
If worst case scenario, he is second option.
Yeah.
Worst case.
Worst case.
And at this age, I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind being the second option to a guy.
That's doing what Luca is doing, right?
Consistently.
Before he got here and now, that's not a bad,
that's soon to be 41 years old.
It's not a bad thing to be.
But you guys have been on a team before.
You've never dealt with that kind of dynamic of two stars.
Who?
How?
Kind of vying for.
Who?
What do you mean, Ty?
And not to say, obviously, it's going to be like that.
Obviously, Luca has a very high praise for LeBron,
says his favorite player of all time.
And they're high praise for one another two,
but each one of the motherfuckerser trying to average.
27.
So, and it's, that's just what it is.
Like, and they did it, but it's,
at the end of the games, it's like, you know,
so funny in things like that, who had to
sacrifice, which players?
Oh, shit.
Chonsie, right?
Well, Chonson wasn't there.
It was, that was.
Mello, they traded Chuck for it.
Right.
Chons.
Oh, we'd had Chonsie and Chuck together.
Are we winning it?
Yeah.
Because it's usually, it's never, like, the, the, the,
the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the two stars.
they take a couple less shots,
but there's always someone that you don't see
or you don't get praise to who takes a backseat
to make it all happen.
And that person goes unnoticed.
That's why I was trying to figure out
what third or fourth option
that's like, all right, look, goddamn.
Let me get it from you to swing it here.
Like, we know that's the Draymond Green
on Golden State, but every team,
if there's two main stars,
there's always some bridge guy.
that goes unnoticed because the stats don't say
but he's the one to get it from A
let me hit here
okay back door okay
hey I can see he's getting attitude over here
let me do the pick and roll
bounce instead of me dunking this
and me go ahead though to you get you a little shot
there's always a person I got on the team so
well who's gonna be that bridge guy on this Lakers squad
so you just looked last night one game sample size
Brown took seven shots
Luca took his 22 shots
Austin Reeves took 11 shots but was 11 or 12
from the free throw line so he was still being aggressive
despite the low field goal attempt
8 and 13 shots
Last night.
It works, huh?
It was LeBron last night.
It was also, you know, Austin Reeves a little bit, but, you know, you have market smarts.
You have got, you have bridge guys on that team that, that, that a sacrifice for everybody.
To help make up the difference.
That's why I feel like the Lakers might have a chance.
I'm like Aitman.
I want to, I just want to see him against Yolkich.
That's all I want to see.
Like, I, listen, he might have a triple thing.
No, no, no, he's going to get his ass burp-th birthday.
He's going to get burpins hampered.
Just like everybody else, though.
You're going to change the pamper, burp and put him to sleep.
I just want to make sure he don't like...
What?
Disappeared?
Yeah.
Like, you know what I mean?
That, ah.
Get frustrated.
You know, ah.
Like, you know, like, battling.
Yeah.
We have a chance.
Take the ass with him.
Don't do the ass who are.
Don't get through it.
What you mean?
Don't get hitting the head and it didn't hurt.
They start looking around like,
right?
You know what Gills are.
Right, either way.
Oh.
Yeah.
Only you don't nick it.
You know, we're good.
We have a chance.
Disrespecting me a lot.
Well, you better not do what the counterparts across the town tried to do.
I'll tell you that shit right now.
Go out there and play that man one-on-one.
I bet you won't, I bet they won't do that shit again.
Get the 55-pig.
Hey, oh, yeah, we're going to play him one-on-one.
Now, you better, like the first game that JJ got the job,
y'all better fall on him.
Yeah.
DeAndreggone's going to need some milk.
You know what I was.
I'll tell you that shit.
You know, I've learned through...
He's got to be aggressive with...
Who?
With Joker.
Okay, be aggressive at you.
Okay.
Double-knuckle.
Y'all get under the skin.
Double-knuckle.
You think you can get under that man's skin?
Getting under a nigga who's going to speak English?
Yeah, you think he's going to bother him?
All right.
He's going to bother him.
Lakers did it before.
If you don't physically...
Back in the day before...
I'm just saying, he was still the same.
No, no, no, no.
Say it.
Say it.
No, no, say it.
This was a different...
This was a different...
This was a different joker?
Say the name.
Did it to whom?
No, no, no, say it.
So we know what happened after that.
When everybody did that narrative and said he got stopped by the White Howard,
he got shut down by the White Howard.
He did.
Right?
In 2020.
Who did?
It is 2025.
Who did?
Think about it.
It's 2025.
Y'all had.
White House, Val McKee, and motherfuckerfuck, Anthony Davis.
So don't start this shit.
But when we put Dwight in.
No, what I'm saying is.
Dwight's a four-time defensive player.
He should play well, good defense against Nicola.
During a global pandemic.
That Dwight Howard match, right, where Dwight Howard was doing all he was doing,
you got to remember who Dwight was, right?
You're talking about a defensive stopper.
But at that time it wasn't.
He was in and out the NBA, though.
2020, right, was that?
That man won three MVP's since then and two runner-ups.
Ain't no more Dwight-Haworth.
What I'm saying is, since that time, in the next five years, in the next five years, he won.
Hold on.
Hold on.
He's going against who?
Who you just say?
Go bird.
So what are you saying?
He's skinny as fuck.
But he's, it don't matter.
He got four defensive player here.
He's supposed to be the defense to play a stopper.
But he's not playing hard, though.
I mean, he's not playing tough.
I get what I'm saying.
That's what I'm saying.
Nobody's playing tough.
That matchup pissed him off so much in the next five years is three MVP's and two runner-ups.
That match up.
He should have had five NVPs and five years.
He's in five years.
He should at least have four MVPs.
That's how pissed off he was about that series.
That's what he's done since he got stopped.
Nobody's getting into it.
What I'm saying is that's what he gets done.
And it just wasn't Dwight neither, though.
Y'all had Dwight, Javelle, and Anthony Davis.
And Anthony.
Y'all had motherfuckin'all fucking three Hall of Fame bit,
well, not Hall of Fame bigs, and another shot blocker.
Anthony Davis, as you know.
A very active shot block in Javelle McGee.
And usually they had Javelle and Ad at the same time.
And then you put one, you put AD on him and let the other dude weak side.
So it's...
And then what else big for...
It's like we used to do.
Me and Mark's Camby, goddammit.
Yeah, I got him, MC.
Guess what?
Come clean this shit up.
Yeah, they pulled that.
That's yours, Detroit Pistons?
Yeah, clean it up.
You got Tashon Prince back there doing what he's doing.
Who's doing that now?
Ain't nobody.
Thank you.
Okay.
Get it?
But you act like Rudy on our defense player here.
He's supposed to be a defense sloppy in his league.
But he's not built like Dwight.
But we all knew
what Dwight was made of. Like, there ain't no secret.
But that's what I'm saying. He's French. So if he
would have got the best of Dwight, if he would have got the best of
Dwight then, it would have been
He's French. He's French. He's right.
We embrace all countries here and Gills me and represent him by
a hundred dogs. But they're nice people, that's what I'm saying.
They're very friendly? Yeah. We're
yeah. He won't
know. But Nicola is.
Him. Kronkets. Crunkets. Is it
Crumpets?
Crumpets, I mean, sometimes when somebody got red in their eyes, they ain't really
much you can do about it, okay?
You got to be up, I'm not saying, he got beat up in the playoffs.
I don't give a fuck you a fucking, you bring the white, you can bring the white back all
you won't right now.
I guarantee you.
He will go out there and say, hey, this ain't about no win.
Yeah.
I'm going for 70.
Yes.
I'm going for 70.
This ain't about no win.
Go for 70.
70.
Kill me all right now.
Oh, he will.
Man, people are soft,
they let him bring the ball up, do whatever you want.
He's standing here, do this shit.
They don't let him do it.
I feel like they're trying to stop him.
They're doing this shit by the ball.
Just ball in your face.
He's like this.
Nick, just picking people off, man.
Nick, you've been in that locker room before.
You've been, hey, when they go on that motherfucking board
and they write that shit up on the board, right?
I guarantee the first, like, seven things that they put up that motherfucker
has something to do with number 15.
Oh, I know.
It's going to be.
But I'm just saying people, they ain't going to get into them.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they tell him to do that as well.
Hey, listen, be physical with him, do all that shit, cut him, do it.
I'm pretty sure they're saying all that shit too then.
Well, you're telling him go bird to do that.
Run him, do all that, guess what, yeah.
Put your ball, hit him in the back.
Guess what?
You try everything.
The motherfucker was out there shoot that bitch the other day when none of that shit touching the net, I mean, the rim.
Muffer was out there, bitch, lay-ups off the glass, none of that shit hit no rim.
I mean, it's some crazy style.
Like, anytime Joker has a ball in his hands, the percentage of the team scoring is something like,
It's something like absurd right now.
Every scouting report I was a part of that we had, we played against a guy like this that can do a little bit of bows.
And we said, you know what?
We just going to make them a score.
They're going to have to score 50 to beat us.
Every single one of them.
Here's 55.
Every single one of the loss.
Like it's just, it's one of those things where you try to outsmart the other person.
And you really be like, all right, we're going to play a man to man,
and we're going to stay home on everybody else.
32 and 15.
They're still 15, sis.
Not one help, you can go, you're not going to die?
Like, we, yeah.
I love when they do that because it's usually never my guy.
So I don't got to help on AI or go.
Trust me, I won't.
Yeah.
Well, let's shift back to the Lakers and to your point about them just going one-on-on-one versus Joker.
LeBron didn't have that experience.
Even at 41 years old, LeBron showed his impact on the floor and the defensive attention he still commands.
So let's take a look at this photo from the game right here.
They're done.
LeBron was subject of double and triple teams during the game, including this moment.
With two of the three players in this triple team weren't even alive when LeBron's NBA career started.
A whole back time.
I mean, just everybody back to him.
Not even looking at that.
So we touched on this a little bit, but how is the fifth person?
Look at him.
The fourth thing.
Denying Luca probably.
With what it's back to him.
You seem to do with the free throw?
I'm saying to know the fifth one out there denying Luca with the LeBron back is to him.
Austin Reeves guys, the one that's helping.
So you already have playmakers in Luca and Austin Reeves.
Now you add a third one with LeBron out there in the court.
But how much is having LeBron on the floor,
correct, scoring opportunities for his team?
teammates. Just LeBron by himself. There were stretches where it was just a
problem with Lucas sitting. There were stretches where they were on the court
together. He averaged seven and a half for his career. Yeah. So we round up.
That's impressive. Cool. So that says everything. Nobody else could do that. Not nothing new. He's a willing
passer that can score. He wants to pass the ball first. He's a score. He can score. He can
score. It's not nothing new.
When all said and done, he's
going to be second all time in assists,
man. So he's a willing
passer. It's hard not to put
LeBron James. First and scoring, second in
assists, all time. He's a
willing passer, man. He's played
23 years. Year one is the only
I know year one he
lost because Jeff McGinnis got put
on the team, right? Leading
the team in assists. But I'm pretty
sure it was at least 19 straight.
He averaged five that year, I think, shit.
Yeah, yeah, 5.9.
5.6, 5.5.5.5.5.
Whatever.
The Jeff McInnes got traded there.
Which had a height.
Yeah, so it took it from them.
So, I mean, the only people who would have threatened, like, beating them would have been,
like, one of Westbrook years and then Luca last year.
Other than that, at least 20 of his 23 years, he led the team an assist.
Yeah.
So.
You got that on the team.
Then you have a Luca on the team.
team, right? So if these guys don't look like Utah look where I don't care what the color
your skin is, you should be just a dead flat-out shooter. You shouldn't want to do nothing else
because it's easy. These guys are going to command all this attention. All you have to do
every day, take two, 300 shots and you will be a gold mine. There are 20 assists every night
between the two of them easily every night. 20 or more. 20 plus assist.
every single night.
So if you're doing that
and to win in this league,
we know the ball has to move, man.
Guys got to make shots, of course,
but the ball need to move.
And if you're averaging 28, 29, 30 assists,
like your chances of winning
and winning a lot of games increases.
The Golden State years,
when they were at their peak,
they were averaging 29 assists a night.
The ball has to move.
The guy's got to make shots, of course.
But when you have two willing passes like you're having Luca and LeBron and you have a playmaker in Austin Reeves, that helps.
You add another guy in Marcus Smart that's a willing passer who's a playmaker.
So, yeah, no, it's contagious.
Making your teammates look good is a great thing, man.
So I can see a lot of that coming forward with this team.
But you're having Luca and LeBron out there, man, that's like I said, it's 20-plus.
us assist every night.
Sure.
Back doors shooting corner three.
He would love this scene.
I would love that.
Looking at LeBron last night, man.
To be a Jordan and Kobe fan, it's hard not to put LeBron as the greatest player ever.
After what he did, it's hard.
Why is that harsh, Wagon?
No, for people, because they can't accept that.
But looking at this, LeBron James is the greatest player to play this game.
I'm sorry.
All the Jordan fans, all you, me, Kobe,
fan. I'm biased because I'm a Kobe fan, but LeBron James is the best player to play this game.
Be careful, so they're going to call you a LaGlazer, just when you know.
Who gave him, what that wine, you know, and y'all going clip this.
Y'all clip it just, just to have it in the just archives. I know, I know, I know you
walk, I know, I know, I know, but you know what, but you know what, it's so funny.
You can't. It's, it's, sometimes the problem is, is, is, is you can be, I can be, I can
have my favorite players and still
recognize. Like, you know what I mean?
Like, it's not like our favorite player
got to
go out like this. Right?
He got hurt. Keelees went down and started getting
injured at the end, so he didn't get to live
to do this in his career.
Right? He got hurt at the end.
Had to retire early, right?
Our last memory, we're going to call it
the greatest last game of somebody's career.
Like, you know what I mean? So
I don't think people are, like, if you say it,
out loud people who don't like them getting mad but they can't say that their best player
look like this at the end of his career right they can't say their best players started off
at this age at the beginning of his career even if you're a Jordan fan right you're talking about
he was 22 when he did this he was 22 when he came into the league right not 18 average in 20 so
there's things like but at the end of the day they all brung some type of greatness that
you can't mimic you can fight for you can you know it's but it's it's still
part of greatness so people make the artists I was I was in Dallas over the
weekend I tell my mom happy birthday my mom was Sunday so I was in Dallas seeing my
mom right stopped at the store the barbershop that was next to the store of
course people recognize they come out now people want to have this conversation
barbershop conversation I went so they first question
question, who you got?
Brona Jordan, right?
So it's that, right?
And I say who my favorite basketball player is,
and they're like, oh, how are you?
Like, so you like the other guy.
Right?
So cool, right, your guy is great, taking nothing off your guy's plate.
People try to make the argument to change the other person's mind.
Like, no.
Like, we've seen it.
it. Like we saw
greatness happen. We were
a part of it.
So
for us to have a favor, the other guy to have a favor
everybody has their person
but to try
to shit on the next person's guy
because he's not your guy. Like you're not
going to change that person's opinion.
For how long you argue for you can
bring out every bad
stat that you could find for this person.
He beat
his wife. He cheat on his.
The kids kicked the dog
The motherfuck didn't pay his taxes
Who gives the fuck?
Right
I'm saying serious
Right
Not gonna change my mind
About this person
Right
So
He didn't pay his taxes
Yeah whatever
But you can love
That person is his person
Right so
Appreciate your guy
I appreciate his greatness
But the other person
Is great as well
Man the things that LeBron is doing
Like to Gil's point
No one has ever done
We've never seen this
Yeah
So there's nothing to compare it to.
That's what I'm saying.
There's nothing to compare LeBron James to at all.
We ain't seen it.
So to question his greatness at any time, people are just haters.
Like people are just flat out haters.
You're just going to try to pick the negative, the finals thing.
He switched teams and all.
Cool.
He was great when he switched teams.
He was great when he lost in the finals.
He should have won finals MVP when they lost.
So don't, even though in those moments, his greatness is still great.
So just because the other guy didn't lose and find he still, he had this downfall early in his career.
If you want to nitpick as shit and things that he didn't do, all of them.
So the guy is your guy.
Your person is your person.
So you're not going to change the other person's opinion on who they like, man.
For real.
That's like when you say OJ was your favorite person.
And I was trying to.
Was your man?
Yeah, I did like, Mojia.
No, no, no, OJ.
And I was like, dog.
OJM.
OJMah, I love OJM.
O'Renthal, James Simpson.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, he loves him.
Who?
The juice?
Yeah.
I like orange juice.
My dog.
Yeah, it's just like somebody coming to like,
if you got a significant other, right,
and he was, somebody else was with her before,
you're like, hey, dog, she didn't do all these things for me
or why you're with her, why you like her?
Like, the fuck they got to do with my situation,
like, yeah, because she didn't do that shit for you.
Like, that don't, like, we're good over here.
Look, because she didn't clean up after, like,
She didn't do the laundry over there,
niggas, like, no, I got to wash in the dryer
her, nigga, she didn't have to go to the laundromat.
Like, I made it in, like, it's like...
Yeah, Gil.
Do you have a washer and dryer here?
Two.
Two and two.
Okay.
Like the laundromat, two and two.
Two and two.
Before we move on, we got to give some love to Deandre Hayden.
Got to get some love to Deandre aden who's held it down and center
so far this season.
Aiden putting up 17 points, nine rebounds.
But in his last three games,
A's average 20 points, 13 rebounds, nearly two steals while shooting 78% from the field.
Okay, we talked about DeAndre Ate.
Previously you said you needed him in that double-digit rebound range.
Right, the 17.
Yeah.
But last three, three straight 20-point double-doubles.
So DeAndre Aiden proving he can handle the pressure that comes with playing for the Lakers.
Through 15 games?
Yeah, so far through 15 games.
So let's see what the next 15 look like.
And then let's do it.
Let's judge him in 15-game increment.
Okay.
First 15 games.
He's getting...
17 and 9?
Yeah, getting to 8.
17 and 9?
Absolutely.
I think you get the rebounds up.
Spend a little more time around the rim.
But I'm cool with the 17.
And LeBron came back.
I think he's going to get a couple more easy baskets like the lob
and playing a dunker a little more.
Like, different things that he needs to watch some film
and see where he can pick his spots at a little more
because those dudes are playmakers.
So switching up, not giving the defense the same look every night.
I think him moving around
because he shoots the ball well
from the little 15, 16
foot 8, that little area.
He shoots the ball well from there, but mixing it up.
But I'm cool with the 17.
I want him to get the rebounds up.
Go to the office glass a little more.
Maybe that would have.
So, any got to get it.
Just tip that bitch out.
Get your hand.
I'll get a rebound for that.
But, yeah, so far so good.
So far so good for DeAndre.
You've watched several of the Lakers games
on playback and on your Gilbert Arena Show YouTube channel.
weren't necessarily sold on Aiden to start this season.
No, I was sold on him.
We got him.
You were rolling.
And then the first game, then I was like, okay, I was trying to sell him back.
Wavored a little bit.
But what have you seen from DeAndre ad in this last few stretch again?
The attributes, right?
You know, like King said, you know, the fact that he can shoot, right, you know, opens up a lot of avenues for him
where he can get those little dunker spots.
He can roll.
He's athletic.
So in a situation that he's in, he really don't have a flaw
if he maximized what he's great at, right?
Stay away from some of that shit you want to do
and just this is what you're good at.
When this guy drives, he has his moments of moves.
Understand that.
Like, he has to be a student to these guys' tendencies.
Right?
So he should be watching Luca, right?
You should know, okay, when Luca has it in his right hand,
these are the moves he likes to tend to do.
When he has it in the left hand, these are his moves.
When LeBron has it on this side, he needs to study how these guys plays,
then he understands how to eat.
It's just that easy.
But if you're just going out there just looking at the game plan,
now I need to, so when he has it in the right, he usually, boom, boom, boom,
he's looking to pass.
That left hand side is when he does a step back.
He ain't looking really to pass much.
So all he has to do is always put himself in base sights.
never hide behind a defense when you've got these type of playmakers, right?
You know, you're not, you don't need to be one of these guys
that you're waiting to Rudy jumps to try to get the offensive rebound.
If Rudy's there, try to be in his sight because that's, you know.
Those guys got great vision to the point where you just got to show them just a little bit.
Hand here, hand up there.
They don't give it to you.
Make yourself available.
Yeah, got to make yourself available.
Make yourself available, they will find you.
He should never have to dribble.
He's an A.
He should never have to dribble.
the ball, really.
Never happened.
Never.
Catch it.
Shoot.
Because they're going to put you in position.
He got an easy 20 if he won't want.
Yeah, if he won't want.
I play with two willing, I play with Jay Kidd, of course.
Play with Andre Miller, right?
So two guys that's hell of a willing passer.
And making yourself available, going to your spots, reading the defense, watching film,
like Gil said, learning where to be, right?
to be, right?
Yeah.
It's a skill, right?
Learning how to make yourself available is a skill.
And you can do that not only in games, but you got to watch film, you got to have conversations
with you guys.
Hey, when you roll, hey, when you drive here, hey, where you want me to be?
And when you do this move, hey, what, what you want this, like, how would you like for
me to set the screen on this play?
Would you want me to pop, you want me to the short roll, you want me to roll to the rim?
How can I, so that's the shit, that's the next elevation in his game.
to be to go from 17 to 9 to that 21 22 to you making yourself available and your his motor needs to be in the right spot like i if he had that vando motor i know i shit on vando a lot but if he had that if he had that vando motor that's like even vando can have it's a easy 10-12
putting himself in just the right position because he no one's paying but no one's paying attention to the point where if he understands his backdooring his back-doring
When to cut.
Yeah, when to cut.
That's the thing.
You can cut for no, yeah.
He's just cutting this.
He's open right there at that dunker, but he's...
Shoot it.
He don't, though.
Shoot it, float it.
It's just like he got his bounce back.
Whatever was going on last year with him.
It's like he got his bounce back a little.
Work on that.
When my shit started to leave me when I was having any problem, what I started doing?
With a float.
Floating that motherfucker?
Yeah.
Hmm, yeah, absolutely.
Floating, yeah.
Yeah, I couldn't get there every time.
And I knew I'm going through this shit.
Yeah, you go, hey, I'm...
I can't jump over everybody now.
Being in the right spot, there's a skill, though.
You know, I used to get mad.
Like, we're up like, pump faker?
But the thing is, the thing is, scared to get foul.
Yeah.
That's the thing.
Pump fake, boom, butt.
You pump fake, I'm gonna go up, too, that's...
But, you know, but it is reality.
Sometimes that foul makes that guy out of the game.
Absolutely.
It's multi-layered, absolutely.
It's multi-layered, absolutely.
But you don't even think about that.
He's thinking about going to the line of missing feet, though.
But yeah, you're not thinking about it.
You ain't even thinking about it.
This is third.
This is third file?
Got him.
He ain't thinking that.
He ain't thinking that.
But I gotta make these.
Yeah, yeah.
So far, like to, don't know who on his staff that he could talk to or who he can watch film with to help him.
But yeah, I think, yeah, getting those little small things in his game.
Like I said, learning, learning spots, man, talking to conversations, learning how.
the conversation, learning how to screen and roll screen and pop, talking, having the
conversations with the main ball handle is man on where you need me at.
Yeah.
Aaron is a player that know how to be in the right situation.
You're fucking right, because he's playing with a...
He's always in the right.
Yeah.
I used to hate that shit.
We used to always be in the perfect spot, bro.
Yeah, you're watching that shit.
Yeah.
When you're playing with dudes who you know going to pass that bitch?
There's nowhere to be at, yeah.
That's a skill, bro.
Well, no, sufficient Lakers discourse for this day.
You're on the corner, like, you're playing the nigga,
like, you might as well run back, nigga.
Just run back.
Unless I'm going, unless I'm going left.
You cut you in my way, motherfucker.
I'm going right.
Hey, brother.
That's my strong hand.
A strong hand.
That's a strong hand boss man.
Just cut in front of you.
Yeah, you drive.
Yeah, you drive.
Yeah, you're going right.
That nigga cut.
Oh, yeah.
Hey, now, you remember the chin through,
and then there's a handoff from the big.
If Brennan Hay was up there, I'm always going.
I don't give, if I can go down this way, I'm coming back that way because he only wanted to dribble with his right hand.
He can only dribble with his right hand.
You know, he's doing this.
No, no, he's doing this shit.
Yep, yep, yep, yeah.
Hey, he's going to turn his back.
Listen, every time they wanted to play, trust me.
I'm going out the same side so I can give the ball every time.
Yes, nigger.
You don't want to turn that bitch up.
Hell no, because he's not want to turn that.
No.
If I'm playing the five, you know what I'm gonna do.
Yep.
I'm gonna make it, listen.
Maybe it's going to other way.
I'm gonna make him drip that bitch with his left hand.
Oh, you can hate that.
When they're trying to go to the hole off it, fake it and go to the hole.
Oh, shit.
I hate that.
Everybody can't do that.
That ain't for everybody.
Because he didn't see somebody else.
I'm going to fake this bitch watch.
He told somebody, listen, I'll hand this bitch off every time watching the game.
I'm going to fake it.
Right.
All right.
All right.

That was in your whole little rundown.
That don't count.
You like Brian Big.
Like part of the way, and I'm just saying, like, a nigger shout-out.
Because, you know, if he go over two, everybody's going, he was perfect yesterday.
He was 100%.
Shout out of money, Jeff.
Sufficient, a big assist.
Got more shots.
Game ceiling, three.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, he's smart.
He made his first shot.
That's it.
Why on it?
Wasn't going to get no better than that.
70%, he's going to laugh at you.
It was a playback stream ending three.
Gillsill so overcome with the motion in that moment, he could not proceed.
I couldn't see.
I didn't want to see him miss anything, so I just cut it off.
There's other mention of other stats that Brontey had that, unfortunately.
We don't have time to acknowledge those, but we will acknowledge the game ceiling three more.
So there's something special going down in H-Town where the Rockets are on the verge,
putting together one of the best offensive seasons in NBA history.
Houston faltered earlier in the season with their jumbo lineup,
featuring both Alperin Shangoon and Stephen Adams starting season 0 and 2,
but since moving Adam to the bench in favor of shooting guard Josh Okie
and with K.D. and Shangoon forming a dynamic duo, as well as Reed Shepard entering his six-man role and embracing it.
Houston has won nine of their last 10 games, the last of which came in overtime against the magic.
After the win, KD. and Shangoon shared a special moment on the court.
Everybody came in and contributed, man. It was some big minutes, big plays.
I'll be with the big hook shot to go into overtime, man.
That's all the win.
Yeah.
Beautiful moment. Rockers are leading the league, averaging nearly 125 points per game.
Like I said, on pace for the highest offensive rating in league history.
Also leading the league in three-point percentage and nearly 43% per game, as well as rebounding,
offensive and total rebounds.
They have the sixth best defensive rating so far.
So looking at this rocket squad, what have the rocket shown you so far this season?
They're tough.
I like it.
They got like a big four, you know.
I like to add Smith Jr. in that.
He's been playing well, a big lineup.
And to the coaching staff, man, the give Shepard a chance like this is, you know, after not
playing as much and sending them to the G-lead all last year and now you gain the confidence
in them, you know.
Some people just keep people on the shelf and don't let them get a chance.
So, you know, they got a great coaching staff over there.
And then KD could be free.
He don't have to play defense, let them other guys play deans.
You could do what he do.
They got a top five pick.
You're going to keep him on the shelf.
Bad coaching then, brother.
You can't.
You're praising him, right?
Good coach.
He's a top five pick.
Yeah, you better playing.
But, shit.
In November, Shepard averaging 14 points, three assists.
Oh, he's going to shoot him all day.
50% in the field, 53%.
percent from three.
Like I said, the first couple of games, his answer, the pressure is shoot.
Yeah.
He'd do it well.
He came in a shooter, an aggressive offensive player.
That's why they drafted him last year.
So, yeah, for him to be doing what he's doing off the bench is no surprise.
Like we said here earlier, that big lineup of Stephen Adams wasn't going to work.
Need another somewhat of a ball handle, a small guard or a guard on the floor.
I don't know if Okoge is that, but.
somebody else other than Stephen Adams that could dribble.
Don't know if he's, I'm saying.
We ain't saying he, Jason Williams and no shit, but.
Man Thompson is doing his thing.
Yeah, but the big lineup wasn't going to work with Stephen Adams in there.
They just wasn't going to work.
We knew that.
So to make an adjustment, we thought they would.
The two games they made the lineup change?
Huh?
They went 0 and 2, then they started shifting the starting lineup,
1-9 of their last 10.
That's still good coach.
Because they lost the old case.
So they went to O.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
You could have had, being stubborn and kept that line up.
But if you had kept the line up, you wouldn't know.
You wouldn't, yeah, but you wouldn't be with that.
Because it's two games and then you...
I know, that's what I'm saying.
You could have...
But they got somebody in there as a guard that does nothing.
Yeah, but...
He's just out there.
He's just out there.
But he's out there.
But he's out there, though.
No, no, no, nothing.
He's out there.
Just out here.
Yeah, he's out there.
Just out there.
He's out there.
Then put Reed Shepard in and then put other guys in.
He's out.
Everybody does.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Everybody has.
He don't, he don't do not rebound.
If he can start Reed Shepardt.
He won't stop, man.
But you think the Fischer, Derek Fischer's in the run.
No, no, Derek Fischer's going to pick up and he won't hit a shot.
Maybe all that shit, you need that.
Coggy average eight points, but shooting 49% in the field, 46% from three.
Just having another body out there that can shoot.
It went to overtime, right?
I guess the Orlando Magic.
How many points you have?
Man, give it, everything ain't possible.
Everybody can't score, my little.
I'm just saying.
No, I mean, we're out there.
We do it.
Well, guess what, Gil, hold on.
But this is, but this is good.
Obviously, listen, listen, they're averaging 125 a night, right?
Uh-huh.
They don't need him to score.
Thank you.
He had one decisive point.
Thank.
He had, how much?
One decisive points.
It's okay.
They don't need him to help contribute to it.
No, what I'm saying is, think about it.
Just matchups itself.
I hear you.
Right?
he's out there for what defense
whatever he's in the line up
right so this man we got about 18 27
points he got one
that means that's a 19 point
deprivation that means somebody else got to do more
work than they're supposed
no they're doing what they're supposed
average average so obviously
you know what you know what
I'm going back to the league
I can do this no you can just
be out there
you got to be out there you got your ass cooked by a man
he got his ass cooked
No, no, no, no.
I can be out there.
He let somebody score, what, 26 points?
I can let the niggins scored 26 points.
I can get cooked by the streamers.
I can let somebody to score 26 points.
No, no, no, no.
I can score one.
So you were under the assumption
that all 26 points was on him.
And you want him to take shots.
You know how we do it.
When we're trying to prove a point, facts.
All right.
K.
Well, like I said, they average in 125 points.
Obviously, what Josh and Kogi is out there doing,
it ain't effective.
in them offensively.
They're having $125.
It's really coming from three people because...
Yeah.
Goon.
Reed.
Four.
Shinner.
Jabari.
Yeah, Thompson.
Jabari Smith scores a little bit.
Katie, Reed, Shepard and Alpine, Sangoon.
Yeah, Shepard playing 25 plus minutes his last five games.
Average in 15.
Jabari's averaging 15.
Reed averaging 15.
Sangoon averaging the dub.
Katie averaging what he...
I'm there, but I'm not there yet.
I just don't...
I just don't...
I like the coach.
I like four of them starting.
And I like this.
See, that's like what we used to have in Denver, right?
George used to motherfucker play with the lot.
That two-guard position.
He would start to Mar Johnson, start Aaron and follow,
start JR in the second half, wouldn't play.
So it's just, it's one of them positions that the other four,
you're like, I'm good there, but let me see if whoever got it going,
If you ever got it going or if somebody playing well in that two-spot, then that's who we're going to rock with.
That's unfortunate, that's what, like, that's this situation.
It's supposed to be stable of my community right here.
This is supposed to be.
You'd be Sean Stevenson, Roger Mason, and Daniels.
Yes, y'all did.
Never.
You mean when I got hurt?
When I was done, oh, yeah, I don't know what y'all was doing out there.
I wasn't part of y'all team.
You know, I was just engaged in it.
Father fucking, man.
That's good.
I would just pay you to be that.
Yeah, I'm saying, I like him.
I fucking what Udoca doing, man.
I like what Emil Doka doing, man.
I like his mentality.
I like his non-sense of approach to winning
and demanding that you approach it the right way.
I like that.
More teams had that.
A lot more teams are being a much better competing situation.
I ain't saying you would win,
but you would compete.
at a much higher level night in night out if you had somebody like emma udoka over there on the sideline
yeah holding the team to a standard holding them accountable man that's all it is man that's
there's nothing wrong with that jd and sangoon yeah so there's nothing wrong with that the big three
uh doca yeah d shangoon but let's talk about two of those three much of the rocky success is because
they're dynamic duo in kevin durand operating shangoon so recently uh durant was asked if he's ever
played with a big man like Shangoon and had this to say.
He said, no, not at all.
I played with a lot of specialists as big men.
Guys who do a great job of screening, rebounding, or being physical.
But nobody that can score quite like that.
And no disrespect to the players I played with.
But I'm sure they all feel the same way.
That's how good Alpi is.
So so far this season, KD averaged 26 points, five rebounds, three assists.
51, 40, 89 shooting splits.
Shang-goon putting up career highs with 23 points, 10.3 rebounds,
7.4 assists while shooting 48% from the field,
45% from 3. So how impressive
has this K.D. Shangoon duo been so far
this season? As expected?
Well, as expected.
Sangoon came a long way
from the last time we've seen him in the playoff
where he didn't look like he understood what he was
doing out there for most parts. Like he didn't
have a go-to move right he didn't know like he sagged off let me just take the shot right
it's like he already pre-planned what he was going to do um that was the last time we seen him
now this new one is like he's he's unscaled his decision-making up to another level so the fact
that he is bringing consistency with Kevin Durant yeah it's still only 23 years old when you look
I'm just saying like he's been in the gym like he's like he's been in the gym he's watched like
You can see him.
This is not I go into the summer
and I just work on my game.
And you can see he's actually watched
what he did wrong and he's
corrected that behavior.
So, you know, the fact that,
you know, when you're looking at the rockets,
it seemed like
they invested so far
in the right one.
We know we want Sangoon.
And making that take out, we're going to build around
him and we'll find
more stable players that can
scale their game up just like him.
KD is on that gills.
So, because he's, his big, could score better
than all the bigs he played with.
I mean, Sanguin, is better than the bigs he played with?
That's what he's saying?
No, he said a better score.
Yeah.
Oh, just a better score.
Okay.
Yeah, not to say he'll beat Nicola,
but at 23 years old, right?
Nicola averaged 20.
Sanguon average 23.
Same amount of rebounds, same amount of assists,
same amount of steals, same.
He's all nine?
Yeah, same field goal percentage.
He's having three more points than Nicola did.
Has garnered their nickname Baby Yolkich in previous times,
but do you feel like he can get to that level?
I mean, because Yolk is on a whole other level.
Yeah, I ain't saying anything but at the same age,
how people want to do it at the same age.
Numbers are the same comparable to Nicola,
so going to have a hell of a career.
His trajectory is definitely trending up.
There's seven and a half six this year, man.
Seven and a half?
seven and a half a six this year so 23 10 and seven and a half that's all of the six nine six eight
seven feet shit six and eleven six he might he might hit a triple he might hit a triple double at some
yeah especially two three years from now yeah when they start actually building the team around his
you put reed shepherd if he if he if reed shepherd played more yeah with kd out there one and a half
that's one and a half more assist the night
So it's shit like that, right, that you, because them dudes are drop-dish, they shoot the ball well.
You get him another shooter.
If Fred was playing, he might be nine, right, nine and a half.
You think that those assists increase with that.
Absolutely.
Yes.
With catching shoe guys?
Absolutely.
True catching shoe guys.
Like if Jabari becomes more consistent in his shoe, because he's a hell of a, I like Jabari Smith.
He's a stretch four that shoots the ball well.
He comes into his shot making a building like we think he can.
Yeah, Sanguna, they keep them guys together.
Yeah, yeah.
Couple guys cutting to the, yeah, I think, yeah.
I've been praising for a long time, so.
I've seen him up close as a rookie.
Yeah.
Spoken very highly about him, especially here at Yields Arena presented by $100.
Yeah, but that's two years ago.
Yeah.
When KJ was averaging 15 as a starter, with the Rockets, he was,
I mean what I think.
Yeah, you've seen his attribution.
Yeah, because KJ was cutting and he was fine and spot-up.
Upshooters, you're making pay, he's doing all of this shit, and I was like, oh, yeah, he's going to be a Ike.
That's when he's going to need a best playing free, you know what I?
He needs a dunker.
Bring him, bring the man back.
He needs a dunker.
The man average 15 as a start in least.
It started damn half the season down there, and so.
Puck, yeah.
Loads that.
Yeah, they run a little pick and roll at the elbow with KJ setting the screen for him at the
elbow and rolling.
Man, they used to run that play, listen, dog.
Unstopping.
The four setting the screen for the five man?
Oh, yeah.
I'm saying?
Yo.
Yeah.
They caught so many bodies with that play.
And just as an aside, how good to see KD?
We saw that exchange with him and Shane Goon after that overtime went over the magic, but
seems to have his joy back after a couple of tough seasons.
Yeah, you let somebody hug you from the back, brother.
You're just...
Happy.
Happy, bro.
Like, just getting a hug like.
Just getting a hug like.
that you could see the joy when somebody hug you from the back that's real love you get the
meat print on you did the hug you like this or was it was it like yeah it was like that okay
like that okay the meat print on speaking for yourself huh brother no i just seen the smile you've
seen the smile on kd's face yeah man i hug you up from the back all the time right
Remember those days?
My dog.
I wasn't happy.
You was not happy with the meat process.
You ain't supposed to do.
Grab my man waist and hug in front of back.
Those, I did, okay.
I'll add those rules, soon.
Yeah.
You let somebody, you know, grab your waist.
Or I did what you talk about.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
Let's shift over.
So, quick question.
Uh-uh, no, don't do it.
Don't do nothing, man.
Katie, playing very well with this year, right?
I think he's been playing very well, but...
That was my point.
What the fuck is the difference between this year
because they went in and then the last four, five years
that you blamed them for?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you see the difference?
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Do you see the difference?
Mm-hmm.
The age student, that's been an eighth student since he walked in his league.
Like, we've been saying.
He got his age.
What he got his age?
Another motherfuckering A student.
Yeah, yeah, huh?
He didn't have eight students then?
Who?
Yeah, they did, but they didn't come to the project.
They didn't really feel like doing the grade.
You got why it showed up.
Hey, you got Devin Booker who'll be like A plus today.
So they're just like, the teacher didn't know, right?
You've got a new teacher, though, right?
She's coming that motherfucker.
He put the groups together and the rest of the class looking like,
how the fuck they got four A students in that group?
But then the motherfucker just choose not to do work.
What was Houston record last year?
They were second in the West.
Second of West.
Yeah, eight students.
That's the point.
And what place are you saying now then?
Third in the West right now, right?
No, no, no.
A plus.
But you're not blaming him.
A slight decline so far
But like I said, one nine of their last 10 games
There was going to be an adjustment period with that crew
I couldn't say that you got that one
You got that one
You got that I couldn't
Finally winning
That's a good one
That's a good one
That's a good one
These two motherfuckers
I was a good way
When you could
Take small victory
embrace it. You can put it in your aura frame
so we will put the video in your aura frame. You can have it by Christmas.
Put that in your living room, sir. But let's keep this thing moving. I'll shift over to the
Eastern Conference. Pistons have continued their hot start beating the Hawks in Atlanta
Tuesday in the second night of a back-to-back to get their 11th straight
win this season. Kay Cunningham was back in action after missing the previous three games
finished with 25 points, 10 assists. Cunningham first player
in Pistons history with 25.
5 plus points, 10 plus assists in five straight games.
Obviously, Jayland Durham's been doing his thing as well.
He had 24 and 8 boards.
So the Pistons win streak is the longest in 18 years.
They're 13 to 2 start, best since the 2005-06 season.
Pins is currently honed down the top spot in the east and have the second best
best record in the National Basketball Association, all while missing key rotational players
for various stretches during this season and this winning streak.
So they have its second best defensive rating, six best net rating this season.
is it time to put some respect on the Pistons name?
They're putting respect to themselves.
I mean, you know, like, I mean, we all seen it, right?
Was it two years ago?
20 in a row.
Yeah, we've seen the 20 in the row.
Like the 20 in the row everyone was laughing at.
But if you watch the games, it didn't look like a team that deserved losing that many in the row.
It wasn't last year's Wizards or that wizard team that was, you know,
it wasn't one of those teams.
It's not, it wasn't what we're looking at from Indiana right now or those type of
it.
It looked like a team who played very hard and they just found ways to lose, right?
They'd be up, right, by seven with 20 seconds left, found out how to lose that game, right?
It was just the way they was losing was like, God, damn, like, who's scripting this in a sense?
Right?
So you can tell that the next year was going to be very different because, you know, you go back to the lab, go back to, you know, film, see what you did wrong.
You get older one more year, and that very next year, they look different.
Last year made the playoff.
Yeah, last year made the playoff.
Now you're looking at this year.
Like, it's one of those teams that everyone stayed together.
They got older, they got wiser, and you can see the results of it.
But we've seen the first step was when they was losing 20 in the row, but how they were losing.
I don't want to change the coach, man.
I don't mean to be that way about money, man, but.
Four letter words came.
All they did was change the coach, dog.
Like, they changed the coach.
added
took away
player
player two
took away
added
one player two took away added
one player
added Duncan Robbins
you got a shooter
you added Tobias last year
he's average 14
healthy
you know
mcade so you just
and
like I said
J.B Biggars
have come in with a chip
on his shoulder
based on how his situation
coach is like
emuodoka
right
hold my guys
accountable
I'm not afraid
to challenge Kade
challenge
during the challenge the guy.
I'm not afraid to do that in order to win.
So it comes from a coaching tree,
dad coach.
So, no, it's, yeah, no, I'm,
pistons are,
it's a down year for the east.
They have confidence.
To put this many games in a row,
wins is not easy in this league.
Winning is a learning behavior.
Winning is fun.
Winning is contagious.
So I expect this to continue throughout this season.
Granted, they're healthy.
But, yeah, they're fun to watch, man.
They're young, energetic.
Kate missed three games.
Yeah.
A story time, I missed four.
I think it was back on the spot.
Yeah, so the fact that they've been down a lot of guys that still winning
games.
Once you learn how to win, same thing we're losing.
So the term goes, bad teams find a way to lose.
Good teams find a way to win.
No matter who's playing and that's where they are now.
Yeah, we're talking about that game where Kay missed those 31 shots, but they were down three stars in that game.
He had to shoot those shots as Pistons fan.
So politely told me in my mentions on the app, 4 million on his Twitter.
No.
Shooting it 45, I don't know about that, but shooting it a lot, yeah.
He's looking at who else going to do.
They keep giving me the ball.
Come on, man.
Get us home.
That's what people don't understand.
For real.
I do have teenage, right?
And they keep giving it.
Hey, hey, keep going.
Shit, we need you.
For real.
because we didn't like he was on five
there's no they limit
I know there's no there's no like he was on fire
at that bitch and y'all keep feeding him
was far from the case
now you still
but listen
they can miss 31 shots Nick
but look that's that's four
or five games were for missus
when you know see that's how you know
they was together
they're together like yeah we're good
hey let it go
who else go
who everybody like keep on
If he made 20 of the 45, I wouldn't have shit to say.
Sometimes it's like that.
Sometimes it's like that.
He knows the game.
He's like, man, pick your head.
Keep shooting that.
Keep shooting.
It's going to go away and watch.
Oh, I dig it.
Oh, you need his one.
I dig it.
They're getting some contributions to a lot of plays.
They got the undraft of Ricky at Jenkins.
They're contributing, man.
The confidence grows.
Guys are out.
Other guys confidence grows.
So now they're getting more minutes.
coach know if he needs to put them in, he can depend on him.
So that's what this does for when Thompson's out, when Cade is out, when other guys are out,
helps guys confidence, man.
So looking at this Pistol squad, Piston made the playoff just three times in the past
10 seasons, having advanced past the first round.
Damn.
Since 2008.
They were the 60th last season, snapping in five-year playoff drought, loss of the Knicks
in six in the first round.
But this team feel at all like the 23, 24 O KC Thunder, a good team that's
That's just like a year or two away from becoming a great team in this league.
Thunder where I think 57, 25 that year loss of the math in the second round.
Because they're doing it right.
They're doing just like that, doing it through the draft.
Got the good young dudes, got the-doing through the draft, man.
Like the old Detroit Pistons.
I had a couple of vet.
Before the Pistons won, I mean to cut you all, before the Lakers,
how far did they make the playoffs the year before that?
When?
Before they beat Kobe in them.
Oh, yeah, they got swept.
They got swept.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
It was okay.
It was okay.
My round, I know.
What round, though?
Huh?
What round?
Second?
Huh.
And they came back and then they won.
They beat them year before, too.
They beat them before.
No, they were going to.
That's all that.
Be it before they came back and swept them.
What happened was even that, even that, even that.
That's all acting to see.
No, the year they wanted, they started off the season.
Was it 13 and 13 and it was 500?
And they made a trade in that trade was Rashid Wallace,
which then put Ben Wallace back in his true position.
Because guess what?
Oh, there you go.
Yeah.
No, no, serious.
So they put Ben back in his true position,
which means he's a better helper than he was guarding the ball.
Because you know what I was out there doing?
You know what I was out there doing?
What I was out there doing with Nicole are doing to the West?
But I'm going to say with Rashid Wallace that made you out that
puts you out the pain because he was.
No, because they put one on the other side.
So like Rashid regard, like before it was like Ben Wallace had to guard Shaq.
Now you have Rashid guarding Shaq and Ben, you can test it to top.
If you miss it, Tashon, catch it up top.
So you have now three back line that actually...
And Chanson made a half-course shot.
And Chonson made a half-course shot beat it.
Oh, the B-Yall, yeah.
Going overtime.
So they...
Yeah, it wasn't easy.
That was the game seven?
It wasn't easy.
But was it a game seven?
It wasn't easy, nigga.
But I'm just trying to see the progression.
Not a progression?
No, the progression.
Man, we were out of putting foot the ass to the pistons, nigga.
But they end up winning.
Yeah, because...
They were a sheet.
That's what I'm saying.
Listen, she's only game with the Hawks was against me in New Jersey.
He traded him during the game.
He's like, that's a short stop.
He knew he was leaving the next day.
So this only game in Atlanta, we played in Jersey.
He let me, he guard me in the post, just opening up.
I'm going by banging on their five, boom.
He's just like, go ahead.
I'm not going to be here long.
I'm not going to be here long.
This is not my chair.
They get that.
They can get this L.
Dead ass.
Like, he knew he wasn't that long.
But he went to Detroit.
He completed him.
He completed him.
So sometimes Tashon would have to play the four.
Yeah.
I'm saying, before he got there,
now he was four,
so they would have to.
No, no, when, that's what I said.
When she got there,
he kind of like.
So, yeah, Tansy, Ripp, Tashon, Ben,
she.
So a lot of people don't realize,
okay, the team was,
when they became,
when Rishie got there,
it kind of put everybody back in their natural attributes
where everybody became great at what they did,
especially defensively.
That's what they're doing now, though.
Offensively, people didn't understand
they were technically four out one in.
Mm-hmm.
Like, all four shot the ball very well from the three.
Had the two, she had three as a guard.
That's what I said.
No, so she was a three.
You couldn't be in the paint.
You couldn't be in the pain.
So now what, so what ended up happening is,
because Ben Wallace was the four,
but they treated him like a five on offense.
For Shaq to stay down there,
he had to guard, you know, he had to guard Ben.
Now, Rashid got the smaller guy sitting on him.
He's like, ah, this easy work,
and that's what happens there.
Or you put him in the post.
Or now you put him in the pose.
Right shoulder, it was really a hard matchup.
I was trying to see the comparison.
Oh, yeah, now they're a trade away.
Yeah, they work.
of being, okay.
Not a, not really.
They, they experienced the way.
Not they experienced the way.
They're going to get rid of Tobias,
get somebody better.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, he's a movable piece.
Yeah.
Like, he's the only movable piece I'm thinking about moving.
Yeah.
Everybody else, I got to, I got to let them grow.
Because he disappeared.
Stewart, the Garvey.
I got to, let me just see, let you all turn into what you're going to start.
Tobias, we know what you are.
We can get better in this position.
Yeah, and I think the other dude, yeah, like to y'all person.
And them other dudes, they are solid Ivy.
Stewart, the other guys, they bring it off.
They're running like you.
They're pros, man.
They're going to do their job, man.
They're going to compete.
And once you have them kind of guys, man, on your roster, your future is bright.
So you got Dern, I think it'll be O's before extension.
I don't know what they talked about right now.
They are.
But they got money to get you.
They currently have $106 million allocated for next year,
You gotta get some.
These conversations are talking now,
what's had,
and what you're doing?
Yes,
right now,
yeah, Matt.
I'm not,
we ain't even playing no games.
What's up?
What's up?
What's up?
What's up?
What's up?
What's up?
What you need?
What you need?
What you need?
Right now.
Community,
what you need?
Yes.
Shit, I'm not playing no game.
It's a pointless,
it's a pointless thing to do
to go into free agency
and say,
let's negotiate with you.
I don't need to negotiate with you.
No.
What for?
You're proven.
Yeah, that fucks everything.
That's a horrible feeling, bro.
When you got a good thing going
and you think you're going to be there
and that team be like...
You was in that situation.
We did that with Larry Hughes.
Yeah.
That's why I went to the Nuggets.
We just, listen,
coming off an all-star team,
two finals appearances,
we lost to the pistons.
They went in one.
Like, we're still top two teams in the fucking
top two, three teams in the East.
They make a business
make a business decision like that.
and ain't been back since.
Yeah, to blow it team up like that.
The pissers ain't going to do that shit, I guarantee you.
Going to the finals, then losing the Eastercom.
Yeah, Larry Hughes, our owner was going into surgery.
Before he went in, he said sign Larry Hughes back, period.
Yeah.
If I had one win.
He went into triple bypass heart surgery, woke up.
The first thing he asked did we sign Larry back?
Yeah.
They said, yeah, Larry,
left, he cried. He cried.
Because what they thought
they thought they can negotiate
with Larry. I'm going to tell people with heart
and people got a heart problem, he just woke up.
Yeah. He woke, yeah.
So, so, so they didn't realize Larry, right?
Larry already got screwed
by free agency. He wasn't playing
this negotiating game.
No. The first offer
that was going to be in the range where
he was going, he was taking it.
Right? So you had to, I told,
come out the gate
whatever you think is the number
if he's asking for 60
say 60
you try this 40 shit
and someone got 55 60 out there
he's taking it and he's not
renegoti some people don't negotiate
and that's what it was
they said Larry we got 60
sold I go play with LeBron
you feel kind of hurt by that I see that
because it was a dumb like it was a
dumb move
and not only the talent
it was dumb it was dumb like they
And the talent level of the guy
The problem is they wanted to sign them for 60, 65.
Get it out, man.
Just say the number first.
What did you're going to get them for 55, 40?
Say the number first, get it over, we're good.
But you can't be thirsty when you're an organization right.
I'm just saying.
The owner already told you.
See what happened to the Nets.
Sign them.
Right?
Listen, I signed with the Nuggets, man.
They lost half of their season ticket holders.
That day.
When it came out, I was going.
they were signing, training me to the Denver Nuggets,
half of their season ticket holders
counts of their season tickets.
Now your economics fucked up.
We have no chance now.
Who did they get?
Nobody.
Nobody.
They didn't get nobody.
New Jersey.
A fine state.
When you don't sign a player back.
A year and a half later, they have to sign.
They traded Vince for Vince a year and a half later.
You get somebody else to help fill in.
A year so later, they traded for them.
Or you just blowing a team up.
No, once you live, because, well,
What happens is you lose a player, then you have to over sign somebody that you, that isn't worth it.
Because you're in a city where nobody wants to go there, so you're going to have to overpay for it.
So somebody who's worth $30 million, you got to pay $45, $50.
Especially they're like, they, so you fuck up all across the board.
That's bad kiddles carry.
Like they, nigga, you lost sock up.
And that's guaranteed, that's guaranteed money for people to cancel that.
Yeah, that's crazy.
He looks like one of the coders
The league told him he couldn't do it
How about that?
That's crazy.
Right?
That's crazy as shit
Yeah
To come to the league
That's his signature
And the league tell you
No, you can't do that no more
You're out of uniform, son
Another thing is side note, my bad
He just, Kay just got his signature
shoe you think
Oh, go ahead
Go ahead
Your side note
What's more like you
No
You're good
Sangway P
It's conversation
But like
But he's about
But I know
Well we can
You said it.
So you think somebody weren't care?
What you got on your chest, boss?
Nah, I'm kind of mad at you.
Like, you wanted Larry Hughes and y'all end up getting me,
so you really hate me.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
You're still in high school when that happened.
I've been out of high school for 20 years back then.
20 years back then.
Well, you was a freshman in college, maybe?
This is a 20, this is 2004-5.
You're right.
I graduated of 04.
You was in the lead that long?
Yeah.
When year you got there?
Oh, 1.
It was your second year as a senior.
You was 2000.
It was just your second year as a senior.
That's why you don't know nothing.
You was a hell back, go back.
You was watching the clippers and the Lakers back then.
You weren't really watching.
So you weren't watching East Coast basketball back then.
I forgive you for your naiveness.
K-mark swing on a rim.
Like, I forgive you for your naveness.
Like, you didn't know.
I knew, I knew, I knew, I knew.
Oh, you know the funny part about it.
You know how, like, college right now, they just, you can, you can play at 26, 27?
Motherfiel's playing forever.
He went to court to play.
Yeah, I started this shit.
I started this hell back.
He filed a lawsuit, so he could be 21 high school.
He just thought this was.
Yeah, he signed a petition, fought the court.
What?
I denied three times.
The Jackie Robinson?
Wait, how many times you got denied?
Three times.
Three times you got denied.
You persisted.
The doors of you, I didn't really go there.
That's what I was.
Because you went to Cleveland over there.
That's you fucked up over.
That was your first mistake, way.
Trying to go to Dorky.
Yeah, he was scared.
Yeah, that was the fucking, man.
Oh, yeah, he was scared.
Get out of there.
One way in, one way out.
But we asked the chat, are the Pistons legit?
84% of the chat says they are legit.
So you mentioned Kay getting his shoe.
Monday was announced.
Kay Cunningham has reached a new six-year endorsement agreement to re-sign with Nike
and will get his own signature shoe.
Shout out to Kay.
Good news.
You can smoke, man.
Give him smoke, man.
It's a competitive...
Oh, I got the smoke.
I got the smoke.
I'm not a smoke man no more.
You are the smoke man.
Shout out Kate.
So Kay's signature shoot
expected to the debut during the second
half of the 26-27 season.
We have ample smoke now.
All right, I got one right.
You over me?
LeBron and Bryce.
The goat.
Is that a good thing?
What?
Like Kay having a signature shoot?
That's what I wanted to ask.
Is he popular like that?
That's what I want to hang.
People are going to hate that I'm going to say it.
I want to ask a good Detroit Pistons fan.
You should be worried a little bit, a little bit because it is not, this is not Puma, right?
This ain't, this ain't enter.
This is Nike.
Nike is the sponsor of the NBA.
Nike has its own.
High boxing agenda.
Agenda.
Right?
And I'm pretty sure Kay staying in the Detroit ain't part of their agenda if they, if they sense that this is our guard.
Remember, he is a guard.
He is their young guard.
You know, Jawa's the one.
He is their guard.
And they're going to want to mass produce his shoes and move them units and do that.
So you can't, like, you want Kay to win championships and all of that and kind of stay there because it offsets everything.
But when they start losing the stuff
That's, come on, go.
You know what I'm saying?
The thing is just what I'm saying.
It's facts.
As long as he's winning championships in Detroit
and winning at a high level,
Nike is cool with him staying there.
Okay.
When they start having down years,
they're going to move that product to a big company
because his name, his shoe, will much,
like so we already know right now
he's on an Olympic team
that's going to be in Los Angeles.
Yes, no, for sure.
100%.
Right?
That's Nike.
product.
100%.
Right?
So it's a good thing and a bad thing.
Like you just got to be weary of it because of the city of the end.
And that is a faith, that's a, at 23, he is their young product moving forward.
Yeah.
So he's the sixth active NBA player to have your signature shoot deal with 19.
Who's the younger?
And he's like, who's the guard?
So you got LeBron, KD, Jai, Devin, Booker.
Hold on, no.
Say it's slow.
So you got LeBron, K.
Out.
K.
Okay, Ja.
Devin Booker.
Devin Booker?
And Yannis.
And Yannis.
Oh, the other five.
So the only guards is what?
Giant.
Yeah.
And small market.
Think about it.
And both of them in small market.
Yeah.
Now you got the rip.
And K's the only one that's winning right now, so.
And.
Yeah, because it was weird, like, you would think, but the fact that he's a guard and they didn't give Wimby his signature shoe.
That's like, Kiwiah shoe.
Because they, because it moves, like, shoe didn't move off of guard.
It does.
That's crazy.
I thought he would have been, I thought Wemby would have been different for them because of, I thought.
Because how he plays.
How he plays.
He plays like a guard.
All the attributes.
I think they're going to get one of him.
The alien thing.
I thought it was more marketable.
So you could have did the whole.
They are trying.
They could have did the whole campaign ad, the alien versus the freak.
And like, it could have been this whole.
Oh, my bad.
Can you give him a market.
Are we going to charge for that?
Can we delete the tape, please?
They're going to try it.
Yeah, they're going to charge for that, kid, y'all like it.
Because he's no different than, he's no different than Janus, right,
where Janus is a big, but he plays like a guard.
Yes, he had the shoe, though.
So having Wimby with a signature shoe,
it's one of those things is we have to test it out to see.
No, that was a concept.
That was an AI concept they made that we thought was there.
And we thought it was hot.
But so you got that.
Devin Booker, Jai, and Cade now, the guards on the roster.
He booked 29, obviously, Jaws, 25, 24.
They don't anybody buy this year.
Java's their young, progeny coming in.
Do people buy the book?
Yeah, I have a pair of the crew.
But this is, wait, book two, this is only his second shoe, right?
Do they sell?
Nick, you, I'm saying, you're a shoe guy.
I don't know.
In the first year, they was cool.
First year, but they're not attractive.
They, this year, they're more, they're more of a lifestyle shoe.
Yeah, but it's a basketball lifestyle.
So his Nike book two debuted in 2025.
The second one just, they just keep the images
in their fire.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
They stayed with the same shoes for the only second.
And I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, a shoe guy.
They stayed with the same shoe.
They would probably look very good on my feet.
Wait, when did this first one come out?
They stayed with the first one.
They stayed with the same.
Because he was going with the different color ways.
He was making the shoes of all the classic shoes.
He was doing his shoe in all the classic color ways.
Like, he's not, he's not the moving forward because obviously he got his
signature shoe at 27.
Yeah.
27.
He dropped the 70, that's why he started getting shit.
But what I'm saying is 20, but he shot his 70.
No, he shot, he dropped 70, he's going 75, six years ago.
He dropped 70 at 20.
But he had the old schools.
He had like some California chubes.
But what I'm saying is, he had like a cool persona outside.
He had the, can't do gender and all that.
That's when he got it.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
So he wasn't really in Nike's.
The vibe was local.
They don't do that.
What I'm saying is he wasn't in Nike's, he wasn't in Nike's vision.
as a as 20, 21, 22.
When he started getting, when he got the girl
and they started looking, then he started
that's when he got, that's 27 years old.
He went to the finals?
Kate ain't been, Kate is 23.
Him and Jive both youngest shit.
Man, I know.
You accidentally became one.
We want them.
That's very different.
So with Kate, they're pushing Kate in front of,
in front of them.
They're going to push him in front of the day.
But it's hard, though.
It's hard.
No, it's not.
No, it's not.
It's hard.
It's hard because for me, Kade don't,
I'm pushing him.
He's still quiet.
So I figure it out.
He's don't have like.
I'll figure it out.
He's like Kauai in a sense to me.
Yeah, but it's like a Kauai in a sense.
He had his own line.
So his shoe would have to be fired.
Like you can't just like Kauil Nader, for example.
His shoes, he's Kauai.
He was winning the championship.
I don't even know what you are.
Thank you.
That's what I'm saying.
But that's new balance.
Like, okay.
This is KD.
A fine company.
KD ain't the most outspoken person other than on Twitter.
But I'm saying his play speaks for itself, right?
And he's Katie.
And Kate is 23 years old.
Second team all NBA, like, second third team all NBA.
It would have to be like Paul George for a shoot in Indiana.
Paul George had to shoot in Indiana.
Paul George has to shoot in.
Yeah, no, no.
But me and Paul George is dunking on motherfuckers too and doing things out there.
But there's a difference.
It's Nike has his, Nike has their bigs or whatever, they're small forwards, right?
That's moving.
They had one guard, well, they had two guards, right?
Oh, shit, one.
They had Kyrie.
That's all they needed.
Then they got Jai, right?
And Jai was the future of the guard.
Like, this is Nike's guard.
This is who they're stamping.
Right?
He's going back and forth with the image.
Now they found somebody whose image is clean.
No tattoos.
Don't get in trouble.
Don't say much.
So they're saying, okay, this is our guy.
they're going to put him in a great position
when they're looking at
fair skin young man
no real when they're looking at shoe
when they're looking at shoe concepts
they're looking at shoe concepts
they're going to sit there like
okay Kade which one we need
light skinned it
okay we're going to take this
we're going to take this we're going to take this
New York City
how y'all like this world
good good no no okay
how about this one
this is the one here we go
this is Kay's shoe
they're going to do one of those
got to be fine
So Kay made his first All-Star, first All-MBA team last season.
We talked last week.
I asked you guys if you thought he was letting him find himself as a superstar,
said he wasn't quite there yet.
But with him now getting his own signature shoe from Nike,
getting that Nike push behind him.
Same trajectory.
You don't change his trajectory because the shoe not coming in until 26, 27.
But do we feel like they're going to start doing the prep work now?
He was like 25.
Same as Kay.
It's his second shoe.
And he went to the finals.
It's his second shoe.
Oh, God, no.
At 27.
No, but he's 27 now.
When he had it, he was 20, K, age, 24.
Who?
They're the age of 23.
Now, how many, what's kind of math you're doing?
He's turning 24, ain't he?
Who?
Kay.
Yeah, but the other dude, 27, about to be 28.
By the time his shoe come out, he's going to be 24th.
24.
24.
So, Debutt currently 29 years old.
He's 29.
Debooked 29, the shoe came out when he was 27.
He just turned 24 in September.
He was the second.
He was when the shoe came out.
When the shoe came out, it was 20.
When they gave Mr.
Signed to shoot, he was 27.
February, 2024.
I thought he said book was 27.
29.
When the shoe came out, he was 27.
Oh, this was horrible.
That's why you said it was too long.
That's what I said.
He had a shoe, too.
One shoe for so long, bro.
I didn't see you.
Because it came out, it came out damn near
after All-Star weekend of 2024.
Thank you.
That's why I said it's boring, bro.
Now, but when you think about a shoe,
when you think about a shoe, it's like,
Like, they didn't come out with one last year, February 2020.
So they damn near skipped a year in a sense.
And shoot.
They needed to see.
Yeah.
But they just keep different colors.
Hey, they're, hey, let's see.
Yeah, they waited too long.
They keep, they keep, like, he keeps playing, like, the different color waves of, like, he'll make the Airmax, the old school 95 AirMax in his shoe to this car, the Dion's in his shoe.
But he could do that.
Yeah.
To the motherfucker, like.
Okay, we get it.
Then them ugly phoenix orange ones he had on.
I was like.
Yo, them bitch is terrible, dog.
Like, I love fucking hoop shoes.
I wore different hoopts you every fucking game.
Hey, them, uh, like the,
them, uh, them orange drinks you didn't like?
Yeah.
3,900.
Yeah, that motherfucker cold.
On that site.
So, yeah, because they didn't make,
3,900, 2,800, like that.
But they only made, 4,100.
Yeah, because they only made 200 pair of them,
they got there.
Yeah, the orange ones.
They only made 200 pairs.
But every other one.
Somebody bought all of them,
and they overcharging them now.
An unfortunate part of today's shoe guy.
Yeah.
Let everybody get the shoes on their feet, ladies and gentlemen.
You had a reasonable price.
That's the crazy shit.
Because you look, the shoe come out, you look on motherfucking sight, and all of them gone.
You don't drop a shoe every six months.
You drop a shoe every season.
Yes.
Right?
So, I mean, every season, that means if I played all-star weekend of 2024, right, and I drop my shoe,
when we, in that season end, and then we start the new season, I'm expecting a new shoe.
Yes.
That means I went that whole season
wearing the same shit
and then All-Star Weekend come, not a new one.
We finished that season
and then we start this season
and we're still thinking about
Devin Booker 2 T's.
Yeah.
I should have starting this season with a shoe.
I should have a Halloween
a Halloween shoe.
I should have a Christmas.
I should have an All-Star weekend version
and then a playoff version of this year.
That man.
It's the latest.
of my shoe.
The dude, but everybody...
Economics wasn't right with it.
Katie, LeBron.
So we're going to talk economics.
Hey, I don't have to drop
two dry shoes, God, that it's since my shoe dropped.
I know, he looked like, hold on them.
But remember, they make the plan on the stage.
That don't matter, though.
Think about it, you can drop your shit.
Like, damn it.
I drop my shoe, drop two shoes.
See, Katie coming in the locker room?
Every season with a...
Katie doesn't drop three shoes in the same time frame.
Come in the locker room with different thing, okay.
We're going to talk.

Yeah, you're amazed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Tide take you a nap from two years.
Not one.
Not one.
Not two.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You're not one and done like me.
Yeah, you got to put you up.
I'm saying.
You hang around kid, high school kids.
You got a six and eight year old.
I do.
And I can't really talk to them about it.
Keep clapping.
No, no, but you've been around to get the sort of, to get the lingo is what I'm saying.
You're right.
You got to get the new lingo.
That's the old school.
That's our word.
You don't want to be one or down like the Lakers last year.
You want to be more like O.K.C.
You want to go round after round, after round.
You want to be the champ.
Log on the road, baby.
Yeah.
We'll mean to do your job.
Six, seven.
Yeah, you want to go to six seven.
You want to grow from six to seven.
And then you want to go to six to seven times.
Yeah.
Yeah, you gotta put your thing on it, man.
Let's keep this thing moving.
I appreciate it, though.
Shout out to Roastmark.
There you go.
If you want to keep that thing moving?
What's talking about?
Hey.
We have submitted this to Roast Park marketing team.
We will wait for approval.
Oh, you're going to get fired doing that.
Hey, you want to keep.
Hey, we can say what we said.
We got to read it.
Drink, Hennessy, do drugs to hell late.
Yeah.
All of that, pop, bro.
Yeah, pop, baby.
Hey, hey, go to bed at, like I said, add roll on to it, like I said yesterday.
Eat pork, smoke dope, go to bed at 3.30, and take Roe spot.
Take Roe, baby.
I don't say anything wrong with it.
Take Roe before you do all those things, though.
So we talked about Kay getting his signature shoe, but let's talk about another situation going on.
Steph Curry was one of the biggest stories on and off the court last week.
The pair of dominant Roe performances and wins against the Spurs to get the Warriors back on track.
First came to the Warriors' win last Wednesday, which we discussed, O'Gills Arena, presented by Underdog.
The second coming this past Friday,
just a day after Curry and Under Armour announced
they have mutually agreed to end their 13-year partnership
effective immediately.
Under Armour will release the Curry 13th in February,
which will be the final Curry Brand shoot
as a part of their partnership agreement.
Curry will still maintain sole ownership of Curry Brand
and is free to find another partner.
So you're hearing that situation.
What's your reaction to Steph Curry
ending his partnership with Under Armour?
Yeah, you built the brand, a foundation,
and do what he want to now.
He only control his own destiny.
So I like it.
Ownership.
He's built other people capitalizing
off your likeness and brand.
You take your own destiny, man.
That's like dudes owner and their own masters in music.
So, yeah, I'm with it.
I'm happy for him.
Joe, I heard that news.
What are your thoughts on staff Under Armour
in their partnership?
But Curry Brand, bring free to go wherever he wants
to now a sneaker-free agent.
But it's, it's, it all depends on if he's happy or not, right?
You know, it's, you know, looking from the beginning, you know, we can see why he signed with them
because, you know, other companies didn't believe in, you know, his talent.
I don't think that Under Armour knew he was going to be a game changer.
And I don't think they were equipped to match his celebrity-nism.
right and I just don't think that they they was ready for what he brung and you know I
think just he did a lot for the company and you know even though the brain was created
under them they owned it and they just gave it to him for him to go like you know listen we get
it right we you've been undervalued you here for a long time so it all depends on where
he's going to land now I mean most likely it'd be Nike if
Oh, so he could go to Nike.
Can't go to anybody go wherever you.
Well, some Reeboks.
I know at first it was reported that he couldn't sign with an American company,
which forces him overseas.
But the fact that he can go with Nike, that's his brand anyway.
And he can bring other people.
If he can go with Nike, I'll get that done right now.
Yeah, all it is, his numbers trying to figure it out.
But I think this deal is after basketball.
The first step, Curry, Nike.
That would have been before K, but I don't think it's...
Yeah, that's going before K.
That would be down now.
No, you think with K's getting done this year, but...
Which one?
Katie?
I mean, Curry's deal, whatever he's going to sign with, it's for when he retires more.
It's about his retirement.
It's his brand and being able to sign other players that wear his shoe.
Yeah, it's that.
So where does I put, Steph, though?
Because, obviously, Steph did interview with the Brown on Mine in the Game Podcast.
episode two dropped this week or part two of that interview.
They both said basically they're not playing in the Olympics.
They said that shit out loud?
That's what LeBron and Steph said.
I can't believe they said.
You don't expect them to.
But speak for yourself.
Nigger, stop it.
No.
That man will be 40, fourth.
I don't go fuck, how old are you going to be?
I don't like to talk so much LeBron,
but Steph, who's still playing at a very high level.
Hold the flag.
I got to push these new shoes out.
What?
There's still going to say.
American people.
How old is Steph B, though?
Two old to play in the Olympics.
Shit.
That would be 30, 30?
I'd be 40, I think.
Oh.
It's 2025 right now.
About to be 2026.
And stuff is 37 years old.
Right?
27 years old.
Oh, what is he?
Oh, shit.
You're going to be 40 and I like it.
So that math don't want to do that right math?
40 and life came in years.
New math.
If you want to do that new Singapore math.
39.
Now, Steph 40, you can do a brown 45.
I want to kind of.
No, they're not playing, no.
You got.
You got too many young studs.
No, man, like them.
You've seen them, liggins lately?
Right?
Yeah, the young boy in Oklahoma City, Williams, Cade, Duren.
You got, you got some.
You ain't got no names like that.
Like that name.
You do? You will in two years?
Yeah, man.
You got guys with signature shoes out here.
All right, man.
You're going to be all right.
You just got to find some big.
Like, Jaylon Williams, let's go.
Hey, you just got to find some big.
You got to find some American bigs.
Jay Dunn's, come on, man.
You know what I'm saying?
Who, Jay Dub.
Who, Jay Dub.
Who had to put a spin on it, trying to make it cool.
So we're talking about the dude that made all defensive team and all NBA team last year.
But they don't got the same ring as stuff.
He's a fan of Gills Arena, presenting my underdog.
You think the people overseas is free to that day?
You say, LeBron James.
Oh, shit.
That's the way.
Never Curry?
Who shit?
You still?
Yeah.
I did.
The names have been that.
Yeah, absolutely.
You've got to be worried about them.
That's...
No.
All right.
That's enough.
That's enough.
You got Jason Tatum be back.
Hopefully.
He'll play out there what Steve Kurt did to him.
I was Steve Kurt.
I hope.
We got now.
Now.
Now.
Anthony Edwards still?
He'll be mad.
I can't guarantee you.
I know a couple names that better not be on there.
Don't say him, Gil.
Please be respectful.
I'm just saying, it better not be the, you know, some of the names I was on there this year, because we have those names.
We don't, we don't have leverage to put a bunch of people that don't belong on there on it.
It was a well-assembled team.
We don't need well-assembled this time.
We need all.
We don't need to worry about that big situation.
It is what we got to do.
We wait to the all-NBA team is selected.
We're going to be retired.
We take all the Americans on that team, we put them on there.
Let them be rest to the Olympics.
He's going to be retired by then.
Back to Chef Curry and quickly, we'll just talk about that game on Friday.
So Steph celebrated a sneaker free agency by paying tribute to Kobe and Gigi.
Let's take a look.
We're a pair of the Kobe 6, Mombacitas in pregame.
Look that.
One of those in pregame, King, like you mentioned,
he was looking different.
He was a lot.
Yeah.
But in the game,
for Steph worthy, Curry 12,
to start the game before switching
to the Curry 7s in the second quarter.
But let's just take a look at what Steph was able to do
because we did not talk about a previously
against that Spurs squad in that 49 piece
because we are a fan of high-level basketball.
We can show that video, please.
Oh my goodness.
Gotta give him love.
He had 49 points in that game.
He was 16 for 26 from the field.
Nine for seven.
from distance. It was his third 40-point game this season.
Steph just a second player in NBA history with back-to-back.
45 plus games at age 35 or older.
So in his two games against the Spurs this season,
Steph averaging 48 points, five rebounds, four assists.
On 57, 42, 96 shooting splits.
Steph cooled off against the Pelicans on Sunday,
but the Warriors won their third straight road game
after starting the season one and six away from the crib.
That road winning streak was snapped Tuesday against the magic.
But Steph had 34 and 9 times in that game, including seven threes.
I'm sorry.
Let's appreciate the good times that we have.
I'm sorry, bro.
Let's look at this shit.
Like, this is the team that you won your championship.
Not to put him as point guard.
Ah, Hoff looks like most spates out there, bitch.
Ah, God is good. I can tell you.
It looks like motherfucking under armor.
I'm sorry.
Tripping.
With the things that you do.
Look at this shit.
With some Mikey's on rope.
They are, no, I'm just saying they, they, they, they, it ain't even about, you know.
They dropped the bag, though.
Not even about that, uh, he didn't wear the Nike's in the shoe is, the problem is he
spotlighted that he was a free agent and he dropped 49.
That's, that's what, that's what this is.
The day the news came out, right?
Right?
The day after.
And then he wears Nike.
Kobe.
He wears Kobe.
He wears the Kobe and Gigi shoe.
So the world is looking at him.
And then that's what he does.
Please, Steph.
Go to Nike.
He's not.
His demand.
His demand is so high because he performed when the world was looking at him.
Wherever he goes, it's going to have to be, if he does go to one of the big
companies which Adidas is jam packed over there. He's not going there. Nike, I think Nike
is jam packed. It's going to have to be a situation where, like, it's like how Tiger Woods
had his own brand under Nike. It's going to have to be something separate of that. Like, it's
going to, Jordan is Nike, but Jordan has his own building and it's going to have to be some
shit like that for him to go to any of these companies.
Stay away from these golf brand. The tag currently suggesting Dada. Please stay away from
the tennis line brands. It don't need that tennis golf shoe. Some step spinners.
Please, shout out to the check.
Don't do the Adidas golf shoe,
bowling alley's shoe, please.
But you don't like the Stan Smiths?
Please don't do that shit.
Hey, you don't like the Stan Smith golf shoes?
Cool.
I seen you drink another day with LeBron,
so you come cool now and get the, like,
please.
You come in here with some Stan Smiths or some dancers.
I mean, if he's going to go to right, he's going to Nike.
You got to.
You've seen that, right?
Debute it, please.
I'm just saying his brand is Nike.
Like he's a Nike brand as...
Oh, man, that'd be...
Right, they're the only...
That'd be lovely.
Man, he's going one of them Chinese, one of them Asian.
No, don't do that shit for him.
Get his own, the curry brand like Kyrie did.
No, he did.
And the own brand.
He can hold it.
This is his own brand.
But it's not here.
But it'd be here, it's his own brand here.
Not here.
Get to sell?
That's just sitting...
You want to sell more over there?
Sell more over there.
He's still gonna sell over there.
He's still more over there than he do here, I guarantee.
No, he still still still on sale
with Nike.
Let me ask you a question.
When I asked this question at the gym?
When the last time you've seen somebody
walking around the streets and Steph Curry's?
All the kids got...
What kids? Right? I mean, since like...
So you go pick a Chinese company.
That's what I... Same thing.
Same thing's going to happen. Well, it'd be more
because they sell them over there. That's what I'm saying.
Yeah, but we're going to see him over here?
Exactly. My point...
My point, exactly. He just...
You don't see a lot of... You see them, but you don't see it like
you do other guy's shoes here. Because you know
where they're selling that, right? Other places.
You know the problem is I was Googling what I googled was what is what is
what is Nike's worst shoe like the ugly issue right it's if you miss on a signature
shoe as as Nike something's wrong with y'all because just the bottom line
blueprint of how the shoe is designed is always going to hit yeah right it's just one
of those things like I got you know I'm sitting here looking looking looking it's like
what shoe you're looking at ours and you looked at you were like damn my shit fire no but
what I'm saying is at night like I'm looking and you're seeing it's just it's just one of those
things where just a foundation of it is you you shouldn't miss right you're going to have to be
real stupid if you miss on you know a signature shoe there so um so with thank you got the
step does go to Nike right huh just just if step does go to Nike
You're a 17?
Yeah.
That's what I said.
You got two years with him and then both of that is plays after.
Is it worth it?
Yeah.
For them.
Because he could keep selling.
Because you still got K, you still got Jai.
Like, he's not plans to still to be mockable.
That's why I'm saying it's more of a lifestyle thing.
But because he's an icon.
That's the point I'm making, right?
It's going to have to be this own entity.
No, no, no, no.
You're saying.
It's going to be his own entity.
It's going to be.
It's a hurry Brennan.
He signs other players.
Yeah.
So it's going to have to be like Converse is under Nike, right?
Converse is Nike, but.
No, he'll be like LeBron.
No, but LeBron.
LeBron hasn't signed nobody, right?
No.
He hasn't signed anybody yet.
No, this is, so this is what.
You don't think they're happening?
No, nobody is, nobody wears LeBron James shoes as a signature athlete.
No.
As a signature host, I do wear a lot of them.
No, right now, there's no.
Name somebody, Nick.
The only person that wears his shoes will be his son.
Name somebody, Nick.
Andy Davis.
That's somebody that's somebody that's getting paid.
to wear them. No, no. Yeah, he hasn't signed nobody.
LeBron, come on, man. Name somebody.
He hasn't signed anybody.
Name somebody.
But the people that actually wears his shoes, like, when I say wearing his shoes,
means the ones he has on, the only people that will get cleared for that shoe.
Oh, not the new ones, but...
No one I'm saying.
It will be Brony James and Anthony David.
Anthony Davis says, I want the gold ones.
They're the only two people that will be cleared.
The first ones, the people rocking those for show.
Yeah, you can rock them now because they're non-existent.
They're non-existing.
I'm talking about in real time, like in today, like the gold ones he will.
They bring those back.
What I'm saying is the gold one he has on last night.
The only people that can wear those today, like tomorrow's game,
will be Anthony Davis and Bronny.
Oh.
There will be no other athlete cleared to wear those brand new shoes.
They had a call.
They're going to have to wear last year's version, the year before that version,
because you can go get those at the store.
Yeah, there's no signature.
That's what I was saying.
So Steph would go sign up.
other athletes under his brand because he's on his way out so that's the only way that it
could benefit Nike because he's not actively playing you got to be had the name to do that
you know he was actively playing in two years three years from whenever he decides to step
away and they do it then then it's the lifestyle it's a golf is this is that it's it ain't
basketball he can still make basketball like currie's gonna see you wearing them on the floor
currie's gonna have they still make they got a Jordan 40 do you do you he's not he's not
He ain't played in 40 years.
Are you seriously sit up and trying to compare Michael
Joy and Shoe Legacy with Steph Curry?
Kobe's not playing. People wear
Kobe's every day. You don't have to be able to
before. Because they couldn't wear them shit before.
Yes, you could. Now, Kobe was different.
So he's playing against Kobe.
Those basketball shoes.
Remember, I used to ID all of Kobe's.
Those basketball shoes.
The ones in real time.
When he came out with the Grinch's, how long did it take?
There's no comparison in history to that man's shoe.
So you can't compare nobody.
I'm just saying
To that
If he goes
Line him all up
He could do what them
Doos is doing
He had the same type of
Brands same type of name
Steph Curry's name ring
If he was playing yes
He don't need to play to sell shoes
Yes he does
No no
Yes he does
I don't have to see Steph Curry on the floor
To wear shoes
It don't have to be
Okay so
It needs to be
I'm going to get the steps
No you know
Okay what
What is no different than
they come in because there's not a lot of
there's not a lot of athletes that really have
because I see him playing up there
people see him playing in those
so underarmers
if he gets some Nike
no no no this is longevity here
he all he does not a year or two of wearing a shoe
dog no all he does just
so once he gets his own signature shoes
so what happens is he'll probably
let's say three he'll get three signature shoes
if he's lucky to get it out of Nike
right those three if those three pop
when he retires
all he's going to do is look for
the, like his guy
that's going to be the first
signature athlete. And then go
from there, and then whoever that athlete
is, is the one that's going to carry his brand.
I agree with you, yes.
But his personal shoes,
it won't be his shoe that
he's going to be, it'd be like, oh, I signed
AJ Sabat, it'd be that. And that'd be the guy
crazy. That'd be the guy that carries
his shoe for that, unless just
there's some popping ass drops that he's going to have a golf line
for sure he's going to have a golf line that's going to be popping
but people like i'm surprised penny hardaway
i'm surprised penny hardaway never signed no one today
for one of his signature athletes that can re-wear his signature
which is classic that would be that would have been my move right like
pitting hard away like anytime you drop a phone posit or any of penny shoes
they pop i would have signed somebody anthony davis
somebody somebody the way somebody to
I would assign someone as a penny, like this is the penny ones or whatever, as my signature athlete.
Because same thing with, how about you do it with Jock?
They've been in Memphis?
That would have went.
But not he, not you know, but they didn't, but that would have been a guy.
You thought about having somebody else where, as a signature athlete.
Yeah, as a signature athlete, like, okay, these are the phone posits with a little twist on it.
Jason Tatum, where's Jordan, Quinn Richardson, where Jordan.
RIPP, Hamilton wore Jordans.
Kind of how I was with Kobe.
When I did it, no, no, no, no.
No, that's what I was.
You got a P.E. Special Edition.
No, no, he told me to wear his brand is the high shoe, the boot.
But it was the first of the world.
No, like, what's the name is signed?
He picked me.
He picked me.
That's his shoe.
But you get paid to wear.
Nike, of course, I'm getting paid.
What I'm saying?
That's his shoe.
We're talking about.
I'm talking about that a lot, me, that's 25,000.
Or no, he signed the Nike, but he wears your right.
You acting like we had to see somebody playing.
And you don't know the history.
You don't know Steph Curry in the back of your mind.
I don't have to see Steph Curry on the court to buy his shoe.
Yes, you do.
That's crazy.
Y'all sound crazy.
No, how?
Why?
Who else has gunned it?
All right.
Besides Michael George.
I'm just saying.
Who?
Name me another athlete.
That drops a new shoe?
That sold besides Michael George after they got done playing.
That dropped a new shoe after he retired.
There's never been a new shoe dropped.
Yeah.
The re-releases, so, you know, Under Armour try to keep dirt.
The shit that he's making out, them Jordan 44, it's like, nobody buying them up.
I ain't sold out.
Like, these years, we're told out.
Like, one, two, three, 11, 12s.
And you can get three shoes out of Steph where they can keep re-releasing those later on in life.
But Steph is going to have to try to, he's going to find somebody, and those are going to, that's going to be his guy that moves his brand.
That's where we brought the ball with AI.
They dropped the ball with that.
Five selling shoes.
Sabrina, right?
Yeah, she's playing.
I don't.
Think I ever seen her play?
That's right.
Have you not seen Sabrina Nescu play basketball?
Why is her shoe top selling?
Who's buying them?
Who's buying them, Nick?
Everybody.
Nah.
No, everybody.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I'm in the door, bro.
All of A.A.U.
The shoes are cool.
What she did was they had a nice of a lot.
They released them to all.
AAU and then you have to remember, too, as an NBA athlete.
My daughter had full pair of them at home.
How are you going to tell?
I'm in the gym, bro.
I see people with them everything.
Yeah, my daughter.
She got four pair of them.
It's not a girl.
You don't have to be a girl to buy a Supreme.
No, you don't.
I saw her basketball team.
What are you actually are?
He don't know.
He's just saying, a girl, all girls.
He don't know.
He said you got to be on the court.
A lot of little white girls, yes.
Can they look like a Kate LaCard, her, all of them.
Yes, it starts with them.
When a shoe is moving.
units, you've got to understand
who is wearing them.
Who is buying them? Yes.
Right? So when you're talking about a basketball shoe, you're talking about
AAU. You're talking about kids playing basketball.
So her shoe is very popular,
the ones and the twos, AAU. That's what they want.
They want those shoes. So that means
girls are bulls. They market it at the right, like when you
think about Jaws, AAU, when you think about
Anthony Edwards, AAU, we think about
Hardness, AAU. That is the
The group that is being pushed to because that's the youth.
When you're talking about the NBA, right, a signature shoe,
how many players have signature shoes, right?
For Nike, six.
Eight is the six.
Five.
There's five NBA players.
Active players right now.
Active players.
How many other players that are Nike athletes that are allowed to wear those shoes?
Remember, you're not, you can't.
be a Nike athlete and just say,
I want to wear the Devin Bookers.
Not at all.
I have to get permission.
Now, now he has to look.
Yeah, you do.
Yes, you do, Nick.
You're crazy.
You better take your ass to the mall.
And if you're going to the mall,
that's not my shoe.
That's not my shoe in real time.
That's not my color way.
That's the public color way.
Nick, right?
Nick, you remember that?
Nick, you remember the East Bay Book?
I had every goddamn shoe in history.
Team shoes.
Shoes king.
I wore every shoe in any shoe I wore.
I wore any shoe.
I wore any shoe you wanted that was not in real time.
Of course.
You can wear the shoe once it drops to the public.
If, what I'm saying is this,
if Kobe dropped the Grinches on Christmas,
when did you get them?
Exactly.
I never had the Grinchie.
When did you see another Grinch's on?
ID.
So if my ID, some kids, don't that mean it's special?
When did you?
If I's the ID my own shoe.
No, thank you.
Nobody can buy the fuck is you talking about.
I can make my own, hold on.
I can make different colors.
You say, we can't wear it.
That is special.
When the Grish, when the Grinch, when the Grish comes out,
the Grish, when the Grinch, hold on, when the Grinch comes out on Christmas,
I'm arguing with this.
When is the earliest, you can't question.
Y'all is, y'all is bad.
I'm watching every little girl from spring.
I got to argue with, I got to argue with different people.
You're arguing with a signature shoe guy.
Somebody's charging with a signature, a signature shoe guy.
Now, when I talk about signature shoe, think about my signature.
When we're talking about signature, you wasn't a signature shoe guy.
I was.
Now, can you tell me as a signature shoe guy,
when another player wore my Gilbert Arena shoe,
when I was playing in real time?
So when mine dropped and I wore him on the court and I debuted him,
All the other Adita players, when did you see my shoe there?
What are you talking about, Dick, bring your shoe?
No, when my shoe dropped, and I'm wearing them on the court,
all the other Adida guys who wanted to wear my shoe,
when did they get to wear them?
Are you talking about something crazy?
When I...
Nobody's going to wear your shoe before you wear.
That's dumb.
Are you talking crazy?
When do you get to wear them, Dick?
What are you talking about?
What are you talking about now?
I'm saying that's why you just be talking.
No, y'all just talking.
I'm talking about he's saying he's talking about something else.
Who?
He's talking about, you said, I got to see a player to wear his shoe.
No, he's talking about you winning.
The only person that you had to be wearing your shoe before you debut him.
I said, when do you get to wear him?
He don't comprehend.
After, right?
That's what you want?
No, win, win after.
When I approve it, one.
If I approve it, one.
No.
Or they make a version.
Like, if you think about my shoe.
If you're a turkey look wanted my shoe
All of those guys had to wear high tops
That's not my shoe
That's a version of my shoe
That wasn't my shoe
You want to wear
Gilber Arenas
They can make a high top version for you
You can wear it
So when you look at mine
And you got the Denver color
Where you got a Chicago color
Where you got
That isn't my shoe
My shoe was low top
You couldn't wear that
I approved high top
And high top only
You can make as many colors you want
That's not the same shoe
they're selling in the stores.
Did you approve anybody to be able to wear your shoe?
No.
Who was the biggest star that you disapproved of wearing your shoe?
I never disapproved anybody wearing the shoe.
Now, I want to wear the gills.
Like the low top version.
He got approved.
He got approved.
And Kyle Lari got approved.
Like, Kyle Lurie was probably the first one.
He hit me like, oh gee, I want to wear you.
I don't wear that.
But did he hit you directly?
And I was like, nah, you good.
Wow, okay.
Because he took care of my bald boy in Villanova.
Right?
Like, people don't know.
Like, you can't just wear someone's shoes.
Like, the ones you see, like James Hardin's shoe in real time,
and you see them different colorways,
he peeing them for those guys.
That means they called him, and he was like,
bet, that's going to be your color way.
So what happens is if those colorways are being sold somewhere,
they know who they're coming from.
Hey, Nick, do me a favor.
Y'all.
Nick, Nick, Nick, do me a favor.
Not the ID is the thing.
Nick, do me a favorite.
Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, listen to this.
Go around the AAU programs, the little league, the calves, all these little,
two of them around here, go in the gym and look at the shoes they wear.
I'm in the gym.
I'm saying, all the little kids.
I'm in the gym.
I'm in the gym.
Look at the shoes they're wearing.
I'm in the gym.
Look at the shoes they wearing.
I'm getting.
I get it.
I'm coaching my daughter's fourth and fifth grade girls basketball team.
Only girls.
All the little girls got on the Supreme, different color wave of them.
They weren't this.
They weren't trust.
I'm seeing it.
All the little private school girls, my daughter's, she won.
She won them.
I went to the store.
Like, who's true?
They're like, Sabrina's.
I'm like, oh, this color wave night.
This color wave night.
What I do?
I go by fucking four pair of them for.
She wore them in volleyball now.
She wore them in basketball.
It's the same shit.
Four little, five little girls on their team got the same shit.
Play volleyball.
And she okayed them too.
My daughter got a game this weekend.
She okayed them to the end.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, you put on.
Like, early as fuck.
Yeah.
Yeah, you got to be.
Like, you don't realize the reason, like, if you see NBA players,
she okayed her shoe for the NBA players.
Because the other signatures,
you athletes, but like, no, I'm good.
She said, anybody who wants to wear my shoe, okay, in the NBA.
Blast it out.
Blast it out.
I'm with it.
Well, let's give you to see.
When we got one last thing to talk about before we end the show for today, we touched on this
a little bit yesterday.
We got to talk about a question of a moment that went down during the Hornets Raptors game
involving Lamello ball.
Let's take a listen.
Lamello got his hands on it twice.
What the fuck?
What's the fuck?
What's the fuck?
That's on it twice.
His hands on it twice.
His hands on it twice.
Man, he threw it with two hands.
My niggle.
My niggins, go ahead.
You ever heard somebody coughed with a ball like that?
Yeah, that sounds like a dog on his last leg.
That nigga running for a lob or something.
Like, other than that, like, you're not asking you on the perimeter.
Nah, that...
That wasn't even a...
That wasn't a bark.
I thought you said he bark.
Basically.
Shit.
A squill for her.
All of it.
Some stranger things.
It's some stranger things, shit.
The fuck was that?
Quasimodo, like that bitch.
Do that sound again?
We play the clip one more time.
Man, it on my end.
It was like...
Bellick got his hands on it twice.
He was screaming for the ball.
But he wanted that.
When you make a sound, you never heard.
When you make a sound you never heard, you really wanted that motherfucker.
That's crazy as shit.
Well, on that note, good place for us to stop to this.
Yeah, you hear that, that's Kobe.
That's COVID right there.
That's Kobe right there.
I'm like, damn.
Who is that?
Who is that?
I'm like, where you at?
I know what to find you at, though.
I'm running back in transition.
I know where to find you at, motherfucker.
He'll go to snake.
He made a snake.
No, yeah, that was his cell.
You hear that.
Hey, listen, there's only so many times he's going to say it.
And if you don't get it to him by the second or third,
who was you?
What was yours?
I think you just say people's names
and what was your thing
when you wanted the ball?
I just called the play.
Yeah, you got the ball in your hand
all the time.
I just called the offense to play.
Yeah.
That fuck the aid.
You're about to be on...
1015.
You're about to be on a little ice over there.
Four's out.
10.15.
There we go.
Forz out 15.
I got that.
Reverse it.
Shit.
Fores out.

I don't recall Kenyon, injury prone.
No, Kenyon wasn't injury prone.
The injuries Kenyon had was two micro fracture surgeries,
had my Patela put back together,
had my ankles put back together.
So, no, I never was injury prone.
I got hurt because I played hard.
I didn't miss games because I played.
No, I played.
You name all those injuries, right?
See, the drinking and all that?
made him able to stay on the court.
Yeah, I'm saying?
Yeah.
Because he was eating vegetables and fruits is that.
Yeah, I'd have been out.
Yeah, I'd have been out.
Yeah, I ain't got nothing to hold on yet.
He had all that.
Yeah, two micros.
They had my tailor put back together.

And my ankle put back together.
Took a tote, ten of them under my big toe, put it in my ankle.
Yeah, it's real over here, bro.
You didn't eat pig feet.
Never ate that.
Collard greens.
Eat collard greens.

I eat pig feet.
No, my mom ate it all.
Trust, no.
My mom ate it all, trust.
I mean, on the last day.
Mom eat it all, nigga.
She used to make it all when I was a kid.
Shetlands, pig, and she did it all.
I loved that.
I walked in the house the first time she was making that shit from school.
What the fuck is that?
That little gristle.
And that smell, I'm like, who cooking shit in here?
I love chillings, bro.
Who is boiling shit in this house?
They don't sell them out here, bro.

But yeah, no, man, like, people like, but yeah, and I stand on that.
Like, people think I was bullshit.
Like, we used to hang out all night, man.
Like, come out there motherfucker and play a lot.
Average 34 half minutes a night after being up all fucking night.
And played well.
Had some of my best games in Miami after being out.

Failing to prepare, preparing to fail.
Yeah, you're damn right.
