long-time trainer said to be in some of the best shape of his career wearing around 230 pounds
that's 105 kilos for all the euros out there that use the metric system average 34 points
eight rebounds eight assists last season made a sixth all-n-n-bba first team brandy when you look at
Luca Danshin coming into this season, his team now,
Brian is gone.
Brian is still there.
Was invited to Slovenia with the rest of the team to work out.
Come on.
Appreciate it, that, Luca.
You know it.
Keep him a part of the family.
But what are your expectations for Luca Dantzik this season?
The same expectation that he's always had.
When Luca's healthy and Lucas playing and he's right,
even when he was out of shape he was carrying teams.
Now that he's definitely in the best shape, we know what it's going to be.
Lucas is going to be first team all NBA.
You can book it.
That name's going to be there.
You can figure out who the other four.
going to be. Luca's going to be first team all-N-B-A.
He's going to be in the MVP
race. The MVP will come down to
how many wins the Lakers have. If the
Lakers are a little bit higher up than we're expecting,
he's going to get the MVP. If the
Lakers are a little bit lower in the playing,
you know they're not going to try to give it to somebody in the seventh
spot. But at the end of the day, that's my
expectations for Luca. First team all
NBA, in the MVP running. You know
why? Because anytime he's healthy, that's where
he always is. The boy's cold.
Yeah.
$1,000. 64 games
last season. You're going to have to score in
He might get the scoring and the assist title.
He might get them both.
He's going to 15 texts.
You know what I mean?
Are you doing all that?
I'll let you get a 10th.
What's funny is if they're in the
fourth fifth spot
and he's averaging about 36, 37,
he can get MVP.
He's going to give him it.
We saw that.
We saw Joker's the template.
They gave the Joker when he was in like,
like I want to say fourth or fifth.
Well, last year before he got hurt,
they were battling for.
like third or fourth they're on a run like he was going to he was averaging like 35 36 he should
have got MVP there yeah at the okay c average 38 in march it's over but you know 34 8 night
last season leakers worthy four seed and adams silver's NBA yeah but it was there was there was
history up there though with the rest now this is this this this is his history yeah look is a bad
boy yeah yeah it's a bad boy i ain't a lot i just that west man that west is tricky
We just talk about them making
Don't nobody think they're going to beat
O KC or the Spurray
I didn't say that I'm talking about the playoffs
Gee yeah they're making the playoffs
Like Phoenix is bothered
Huh huh?
Huh?
They come and they're gonna be above Phoenix
I get it
We smacking in
Yeah 1,000
Listen I would love to say that
Same way Luca getting better
Everybody in the league is getting better
Remember how Luca was looking at Devin Booker
You think that's how he was looking at Devin Booker
You think that's how he's going to be looking at Devin Booker
looking at Devin Booker when they put him out,
that's the same way he's gonna be looking at this.
Hey, Devin, you watching this?
Hey, Devon, you watching this, son?
He can, he's not struggling with watching.
How was he looking at him?
You see, hey.
Devin, you watching this?
Call out Brooks, man.
Shit, not Devin Brooks.
That's who gotta stop him.
Uh-huh.
Dillie, you see it this?
Oh, yeah.
No, Dillie, you see this?
I know Dillon.
I know, like this.
That's why I like the game now.
It's some people that don't like each other.
Like, I, Dillon Brooks don't like nobody.
Yeah, but Rooka don't care.
No, do that.
45 or 50.
Make sure y'all clip that man doing that and send that right to Dillon, Joe.
What are he going to do?
What are he going to do?
Huh?
Still in the Dillan.
What's he going to do?
He can't stop.
At all.
I didn't say he's,
nobody says stop him.
That's where he got to stop.
No.
No, you don't have to stop Luca.
You know what you have to do?
Just make the playoffs and be a higher seed.
You don't got to deal with him.
Yeah.
Max.
Possibly.
If we win enough, when are we seeing you?
You tell you, you got the sun.
You got the sons over the lake?
You want to know who told me that?
Brun.
You had the Suns over the Lakers?
Brun told me that.
I know that, dude, he's like, I ain't worried about him.
I'm like, what the fuck you mean, nigga?
He's like, shump.
They're going to be seventh seed.
We're not going to see.
He's not going to see.
He's not going to have to see.
Stop watching the state.
Hold on.
Stop watching this state.
They're not being golden stuff.
They barely got in.
I don't know what they're doing.
We're not seeing them.
But you can say that when you're Bronn and you know your team going to finish.
We talk about the Phoenix Suns, bro.
The Phoenix Suns ain't ain't talking to nobody like that.
I'm saying they're going to have to see
teams at the bottom.
They're going to have to see them
They might meet them in the middle.
The four-fives do play each other.
I'm not going to lie.
I'm saying I don't think that
Luke and them are going to be a four-five seed this year.
That's what you're going to say, bro.
I feel like y'all are very much
disrespecting what we're going to be seven seed,
six-seat.
Listen, we just sold for $12.5 billion.
You can get us to the playoff.
You're getting us in the playoffs.
Hey, show up.
You know, I'm not, I'm no
Braun-Hater.
I'm not disrespectful with Bronn brought to the team,
but I just feel like if Luke is healthy,
I know what he can do.
I know he's capable of carrying a team.
And I think the AR going to step in there
about 27, 28 this year.
I think AR going to cook.
Yeah.
Because he's average like 28 last year.
Yeah, I think AR going to cook.
Brian energy came around.
And it shook, man.
Luke could like that, bro.
With the Maverick, bro, that young group,
and he was barely locked in focus.
He's probably 260 pounds.
Didn't even know how to be a pro year.
Yeah, and two weeks before the season's over,
he got the fifth seed locked up before the playing era.
He's a little-ass kid doing it.
I think just.
He was hooping prepared.
No, I told you, but I'm just saying, like, keep him, like, locked in and focus enough to be healthy.
But, like, to show respect to Luca, I don't think Luca worry about nobody besides just his happiness.
Yeah.
You know what, like, in that sense.
Hey, Luca, I don't know what they're talking about.
You better worry about winning.
Don't get you a championship.
If I'm coming out with 37, 9 and 8, I'm trying to win.
Don't listen to them quotes, Luca.
The MVP is not going to serve you.
If you get 37, 9 and 8, I don't feel that good, Luca.
I understand.
I'll get that win.
He's a leg.
He's a lot.
Yeah, he's going to get it.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm saying, go get the championship.
It's the Lakers, y'all talking about they could just make the playoffs.
They were just the 14th year.
That's what I'm saying.
But they were just a 4C last year.
This is Lucas team now.
There's no points and don't get no jury.
That's what he lost the whole, like, they don't get that.
They just won't.
We gave Luke to the team he wanted.
I'm not really looking what the team did last.
It's a different team.
It's a different team.
It's a different team.
It's a different team.
But I think that with Luke on the team, it's a different team.
But I think that with them.
But the expectation for the Lakers is banners, right?
Yeah, I did it.
Not making the playoffs.
That's what Brian got packed up for.
So what do you think they're going to rank the Lakers at right now?
Hmm?
You're going to have what, 9, 10?
Not about 5, 6.
No.
Media is going to put the Lakers 9 or 10 because everybody left.
Yeah.
And this is why he's going to be MVP.
910, that's the expectation they put on him.
It's a sweet of story.
And he's 6.5, 4.
Oh, my God.
I'm voting for him.
That's how that works.
And he's due, bro.
That's how Steve Nash won his second one because after he won the first one,
Amari Sadamaya was hurt.
He wasn't going to play.
They said Steve Nash, him, was going to be towards the bottom.
So that's 17.
And it was still number one.
Oh, my God.
That's 17 and 10, like 25 and 12.
But that means.
They got the Lakers Slater at 5-6 right now.
I'm looking at Polymarker.
Polly Market know what's going on.
With the prediction market looking like right?
The Polymarket know what's going on?
Yeah, but they don't know.
They don't be about 15.
Polymarket app available to the U.S.
They don't have a vote.
Who?
Polymarket?
Hey, I know they don't have a vote.
They put, they putting up bread of Cheney Alfredo.
They don't have a vote.
We're talking about the voters.
Hey, man.
We're talking about the voters.
I'm just saying the voters got to vote.
Shit, Polly Market, you hot to me.
Voters got a vote, so they're going to vote, and then you'll see it from there.
I'm that man.
So then you give a look at this extension.
We're going to build the team in your image, give you what you want.
Yeah.
Get Walker Kester, Quinn Grimes.
This big overhaul, we had heard about awesome.
And you're sitting here talking about
Making the playoffs.
Bro, bro, wait.
Hold on.
The nigga left, okay?
Nice.
All right.
Don't try to throw all that negativity or so over here.
Ask you a question.
Right?
Don't be throwing all that,
try to put all this expectation on the team.
So why was that?
Your man's just going to worry about when we get the Philly.
So why was that expectation there for year 23, but it's not there for a little bit?
But what I'm saying is don't, you see our roster, right?
Don't be trying to pretend that we're supposed to make it to the championship.
That's the roster he wanted.
Hey, hey, hey.
MVP compensation.
Hey, hey.
Don't try to, don't be trying to make the milk bag today by putting all this expectation.
Oh, Luca got what he wanted.
He got Walker Kessler.
That's what he wanted.
You're supposed to be the, you're supposed to be the number two seating on Danwell.
We're going to be set in a day.
This is what you wanted, Luca, right?
Get Brian out of here.
That's my squad now.
Yeah, but he didn't say come back with Walker Kessler.
He was like, come back with like.
They're trying to something like that.
Yeah, that's the only one.
No, this ain't the, I didn't hear me.
You see this man.
You see the end of it.
You know, this don't sound.
Oh, you are walking.
He left.
He's there.
No, huh?
Yeah, no, he's, he is.
He is the LeBron fan.
He will for sure.
He's a Bronch fan.
So, you know, he was in Cleveland,
Miami, Cleveland, and then came to L.A.
Now he's over in Philly.
Still here?
They're here protecting Brani's legacy.
He's a champion.
But in all sincerity, though.
I'm not against it.
I get what you said.
Yeah, we want more piece away.
You definitely want a Yokchins.
I get that.
You always want a Yokish.
But Walker Castle ain't.
They've been trying to get Walker Castor for a while, though.
But you give up two first, two first pick swaps for it.
Stretching the floor, good hands, able to catch the lob.
Yeah, you know what to do, you know his role.
We got it.
Yeah.
Then we're going to go get like Wimby or Palo Bancero.
Yeah, we need one more.
That's who we get with him.
We're not getting.
Damn, how much help is working in Wemby?
See, this is the difference.
Wimby real life is not leaving.
No, he's not.
No, I mean, it's first.
No, no, no, no.
He's going to own half of San Antonio.
It's not.
And his legacy.
It's the man.
It's the legacy.
It's the person.
No, it's the legacy.
Fuck all that.
It's my daddy ain't going to accept me doing that.
My people at home ain't going to accept me doing that.
I ain't doing that shit.
He won't even promote pop.
Because he really principled on that.
That's what I'd be talking about.
That's why the championship.
Basketball history.
He's been celebrating earlier.
Has shown that if I want to be in a group of three or four,
Tim Duncan, but they don't use it, or Kobe II,
If I want to be in that category,
I have to stay here, win it all here.
Yeah.
So he can't leave.
Who?
Blimby.
He don't want to leave.
They don't matter.
He can't leave.
He took 50 million less to punish himself
for losing the finals.
He took 50 million less.
To punish himself for losing the final.
I don't like you, that.
Why?
You don't like...
He can't trust him.
Delaidea Brunson took, like, a hundred meal less.
So make sure he had a squad around.
around him. I'm not against that. I'm rocking with that for sure. I think the Draymond Green
conversation when he's like, bro, basketball is more booming than ever and we having conversations
of the future of the NBA taking lesser to do whatever. You know what I mean? Like, I feel
as though it's dope, it's cool and shit, but you earn that bread. Obviously, you want to build
a team around it, but we hyping up the future basketball to take lesser. But I feel like
he don't think he earned that brick because he didn't accomplish the goal he wanted. That's the
dumbest shit I ever heard. I'm just like, no, no, no. Now you have nobody around you. Like,
You know what?
I'm a penalized.
Like, you can't even, I hope my friends, when they hear me talk bad about myself,
they like stop, dog.
But to hear me say, you know what, bro, I play so bad this week,
I'm going to get back $50 million.
That's never.
That's not what he did, though.
I don't want to, it sounded like that.
He didn't raise his hand to say, I play bad, so I'm going to get you all that.
But he's out of $50 million, right?
He out of $50 million saying, I want to better the team around me.
Who did you go get?
Like, it was a fluke.
Like when we said better, like go get one more shooter maybe, bro.
But I give up $3 million.
But 50?
Like, I'm wet.
Wait, wait.
I'm sorry.
Am I wrong for saying that?
Yes.
Bro, they were supposed to win the finals this year alone.
They just tweaked.
Without a doubt.
Right.
I'm just saying, bro.
Can I ask you all the question?
If I was six feet and I was dressed.
I would like for my team to be able to get a little bit of money.
So all my teammates don't fucking hate me for eating up the cap.
Oh, there is.
He's playing a whole game.
There we go.
It took 25% instead of 30.
That's, that's, that's, that's,
minding your business, staying in your role.
That's the problem.
What's the problem?
The false narrative that has been put on the player themselves.
Millionaires are taking pay cuts for billionaires.
Oh.
Speak on it.
And that's what I'm saying, bro.
So you want to win, right?
We want him.
We want, we want him.
That's your boy?
Yeah.
How about this?
You take 20 million less so we can get them.
Because I don't want to come out of pocket.
Yeah.
While we just watch a man who's getting in trouble today saying,
I want you so bad, I got you.
50 million.
I got you.
I'm going to give you some of this boom, boom, boom, boom, under the table.
So don't go against it.
See, none of them care about spending the money because there's a cap that makes us all play on the same playing field,
but we all don't make the same cheddar.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right?
If I got $16 billion, you got one.
I should be able to outbid you.
But these rules of this cap makes us
so I can't bully everybody.
So now it's like, well, if I don't want to pay you your money,
oh, I got this cap, cap, then the fans is like,
well, you got to take a pay cut.
Now they argue in second apron.
I'm scared of second apron.
I'm saying, bro, you got a bag.
This ain't your number one gig.
You got a billion dollars, kill it.
And you're going to go get it back.
And they don't care.
Yeah, go steal elsewhere like you've been doing.
Yeah, just give me some of that property you own back there.
That damn it?
Or a wife.
Give me the Brunson.
Give me the Brunson.
I give you $100 million on paper.
I like the Hamptons.
Yeah.
The South Side.
So I can still sound hood.
What did you saying?
What did you say?
What did you say?
Nothing.
He didn't do nothing.
My dad.
He didn't do nothing.
Gilbert Arenas finds out.
He didn't do nothing at all.
He didn't do shit.
He won a championship.
He won the championship.
He did?
All right.
Let's bring it back to the Lakers.
real quick. Madison Square glide.
I'm just saying, bro, but...
Brunson Garden. But to give up
$150 million, let's not start
making that normal. It's not normal.
But they wanted to be normal.
I'm... I'm talking brother to brother.
Hey, listen. I'm with you.
I don't like seeing
nobody give up that much money, especially
you get older and you start realizing
that that really is. Like, hold on.
So if he's giving back 50,
especially somebody like,
let's, like, that don't really need the 50,
that's 50 just earning interest
every year. So, like, like,
Like, man, that interest on 50 alone is what, about 5 mil?
You doing that annually?
Man, so you're giving up 50, but you're giving up way more than 50.
And then when you ask him to give up 50, it's not business.
Like I'm with Evan, I don't want to normalize, hey, guys, you should give that back.
No, my job was the ball and be the best I can be.
I'm not normalizing.
Hold on.
Your job is the GM is to figure out the cap.
That's not my job as a player.
And let me say this as a role player.
Hey, bro, when it come down to it, bro, know your role, start your role and shut your mouth,
Like when it come down to it, big fella, he giving 24, 12, 3 in 30 minutes.
It's like when I used to play with Dane, like we can play a buddy carrying me across the Atlantic.
And I'm talking about, hey, champ, give us some bread.
Like, hell no, I'm doing everything.
It's not none of my business.
And we have to start, not in a sense, you start making people seem like bad guys and be like, yo, take a hometown.
You're not even from here.
We sit there.
You're talking to other players.
Other players man are to do while we popping.
That boy in two years single-handly got the trap bat jumping.
Yeah.
And we're talking about, yo, you need to sacrifice.
Nope.
What we're talking about, I'm carrying you, my God.
You're going to be a legend.
All because I was born.
We need to like, it's funny, but it's not all because I exist and you drafted the right type of way.
You didn't get the Pacers type of situation where it's the fifth pick and you get.
I'm like, no, I exist it.
And now it's going to be red panty night for everybody.
Everybody's going to be rich for the next 15 years.
And you're talking about cut.
That's why the boss.
Brian getting mad, like know who you are, but at the same time, like, we all on the ship for one reason.
When you go to those NBA, like, meetings in the summertime, you comprehend, man, how are we advertising the top five people?
Even when you look at the Jeremy Lynn situation back in the day.
Hey, man, this game global, why we keep showing all these Jeremy Lynn highlights.
The more he, better he do, a better do for our business.
And you comprehend the value and what you're bringing.
But when it comes down to position and as a group, know your role and call it a day, bro.
Hey, when we sit there, I can probably get 20.
Big dog, I'm getting 18.
But as long as you good, I know why I'm great, bro.
If Luca go down, the Lakers is done.
It's unwatchable TV.
When Kobe was hurt for three years, what was it?
Unwatchable TV.
So when you do that value, let's stop playing the hell out of crazy
but talking to our people about being like,
yo, these people treat you like they're your partner
and everything else like that.
Respectfully, OG, fuck you pay me.
And that has to be normal.
I suppose a little black dude giving up $100 million.
At some point, there's one has to take.
a league full of players that when
that CBA come up, say
we're not playing for three years.
That's a problem.
Yeah.
I'm not saying, listen to no, I'm not
saying that. I'm saying the rules
are already in place. The game
is unfair. We've been new to shit
was rig when we was kids.
I wasn't no dumb nigga.
I saw what was going on. Why they got a salary cap.
Baseball, we got no fucking salary cap.
Why we got to go to college?
Why, we got to do that?
Why they didn't got it? I've been
knew it was rig. I seen it.
It was up.
The jig been up.
But I want to win.
I want to play.
And I want to win.
Because it would be two teams.
It's unfair.
But this game is better.
It'd be two teams.
That's why there's a salary cap.
Yeah.
It'd be two teams.
Yeah.
Lakers, New York Knicks.
So that's what they don't want that.
But I'm saying, if there was no salary cap.
If there's no salary cap, what'd you mean?
If there's no salary cap, there's plenty of owners that go to eat.
They're buying, they're buying.
their but no no no no good first go salary can't you tell me that that's a bad not going to
let me say baller not that means that's all of I don't nobody got more money I'm I'm
I'll be forgetting that they did the clipper because it is the clippers they got that rich man
over there there's a bunch of rich men over there but there's a bunch of rich themes and and
and golden state because they got they got silicone valley behind them so they can they can do
whatever they want yeah but some something but this is what I'm saying as no no no no no no
At some point, the player matters.
Yes, I'm rich, but my city's richer.
So I can convince Silicon Valley to invest and bring that money in here.
So there's a takeover.
So there's a reason there's a salary cap.
So whenever there's a lockout.
Whenever there's a lockout.
But why not for baseball?
It's because of the owners don't want to share.
It has nothing to do to the fucking players.
You hear what I'm saying, though?
Why baseball could figure it out, though?
How many teams winning baseball?
Only one that we care about good
Dodgers, New York
It is the reason there's only a few teams
That's always
That's not at all
We won
That gets the best players
The Chicago won
So I don't want to hit that shit
When?
When?
When?
When?
When we won in Cleveland?
I don't give a fuck how long it took
There's going to be a few here and there
But for the most part
Everything is structured
For certain teams to win always
That's fine
It just happens like that
What I'm saying is
Why the players
Getting more access
To the money
In the MLB
than in the league.
At the top level,
we know why
is what I'm saying.
But we still signed our ass up.
Well, technically...
We could just go start our own league.
No, no, no.
But we're not going to do that.
Because we want to be in the league.
Jerry Weston played in.
Across the board,
though, I feel like NBA players get more...
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Yeah, I was about to say that.
Technically...
The top level, the showhays and them dudes
is getting big, Brad, but you've got to think about all the dudes.
No, no, no, no, no.
If you take away them soccer players
that's playing over...
in,
everywhere.
No,
no, no, no.
No, no.
No, no.
Middle East?
You're in Middle East?
Yeah.
You take them out?
And it's just
salary cap money?
Remember,
there's guys in our league
making $58-something million.
When you break down
some of them
MLB contracts,
remember the 10, 10 years.
Yeah.
They're making less.
And also, too,
it would be 162 games.
I'm always being.
You still not have.
So when you talk about the top 10 most, the athletes, the NBA has about six of them.
They got, listen, we got 12 players on each team, 12 to 15 guys.
The MLB got way more players and they all getting these deals.
That's cool.
What I'm saying is the NBA could pay all us with no cap.
You could go get Evo and still give him his bread.
I really shouldn't have to take a pay cut.
But we don't have to.
We do, though.
Or else you find yourself in Kamenga's situation.
No.
Benedict Matherin, Anthony Simon, who's averaging $18.
Like, I could have been a bitch-ass dude and just been like,
hey, bro, I don't want to sign this to go back to Cleveland to go to war against,
go to state.
I want to go try and take some money somewhere else.
Been sat for a while.
Somebody would be like, uh, we want to give you this.
I could have sat out, end up coming back for $4 million.
Fuck up my own.
Let me be aging.
I get you just.
Yeah, after $26.
You know he's not read the contract.
I'm getting that contract.
I'm getting that contract.
I'm getting that contract.
As soon as I get in there, I'm like, hey, man, look, y'all got $5 million on the books,
but there's this extra land over here.
That's another $6 million because he's worth $11.
Come up off that property.
And the helicopter.
With the helicopter.
With the helicopter.
And the house.
Everybody ain't coming there talking, y'all talking regular talk with them GMs.
Them GMs are just crunch numbers.
You come back with this like old fella in Detroit.
Hey, buddy, there's a lot of land up there that's empty.
Think about after the game.
If you can't get the 20 million on paper,
Mm-hmm.
Downtown looked dusty.
That's what I'm saying.
20 years from now, somebody's going to want to clear it up.
Yeah, you give me a four flat and a nice spot.
You're on.
Let it go.
Come on.
Hey, start speaking a language.
Real talk.
Real talk.
Kauai understood that.
And I can tell you this.
When you get caught, it's only 700,000.
Oh, real talk.
That's it.
I take that file.
I'll take that a good deal.
It's a good deal to me.
I can see a good deal by the way.
I'll be like, I gotta learn.
I got to learn.
You keep track it.
Yeah, I got to learn.
I'm raw.
I'm dead, bro.
I take that penalty every time.
I'm so wrong.
I'm so wrong.
Like my car.
Y'all got, well, I heard 700,000.
I'm like, that's it.
That's it?
They would have had it today.
Seven.
And it's, right?
Thank you, boss.
Thank you.
You swear to God.
No double jeopardy.
No jail, man.
That's it.
Quah, I better be glad David Stern is still the commission.
What?
Hey, listen, if David Stern was the commissioner,
he would have had Kuwait.
I can tell you, David Stern would have suspended Kauai for the full season.
And Dave.
Braves would have been gone.
No.
He did sell him.
You tell me, David.
David Stern was a little miniature gangster now.
No, no.
First of all, bomber wouldn't have said no.
That's how I got.
You remember, they had an investigation.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's my duty to find it or not.
Right?
I'm the commissioner.
I can say I found some shit or I can say I didn't.
So are you going to take this deal
If we're going to keep it under the table
Or you're going to say fuck me again
Go on, it's your choice
It's your choice
David Stern
You know personally how that works
It's your choice
That's crazy though
David Stern rolled over
What if Obama said?
What if Obama said?
What are you doing?
I'm going to fight it.
What if bomber say?
I'm going to fight it
Real top.
David Stern
You ain't fight none
You're going to sell this team
That's David Stern
It would have the bomber
You're going to sell this team
Where you're going to take it
Period
David Stern moving in it totally
David, David Stern used to move like a mob ball.
What?
What y'all doing a day?
I was that?
I was that?
Oh, yeah, I forgot.
I forgot you.
Yeah, what was that like?
He was crazy in person?
You know me.
I didn't look at every, listen.
Listen, listen.
No, I know, but I'm sorry.
He ain't never, you know.
When I got in trouble, I even told Javis,
let me talk.
I got this.
What David said.
Shut up.
So I heard him do his little talking.
Yeah.
He said, yeah, I think you, uh, 50 games.
You know, 50, you.
50 games the rest of the season, go enjoy the vacation,
and then beginning of next year, clean slate.
Yeah, so I've been reading.
Yeah, so the most that's been, there's been three games.
Only time someone got seven, he shot that gun outside of the club,
but NBA property is a plane, NBA property is a bus.
This is the two-time person, he only got three games.
Unloaded.
No witnesses.
I said I did it.
I said they were mine.
I can also say they wasn't.
There's no fingerprints on it.
Nothing.
I said it was mine.
So I'm only thinking,
hmm,
I'm thinking one game.
But if you want to give me three,
three to five.
I can do that.
I can do that.
I can do that.
Stern probably stood up on his desk and slapped you.
I'm trying to play Lakers.
What did you start?
What did you start?
I was real comedy.
You know how you look at it.
DeVarce.
Got this.
What is it?
Huh?
He looked me dead.
It was a...
Yeah, so,
like I said,
50 games.
You just locked your Adidas deal, right?
I was like, yeah.
He said,
you got about $88 million left?
Yeah, it carried a couple ones.
But, yeah.
Yeah, so I can go take that, too.
He didn't say that.
He said, so if you decide to fight this,
the suspension that I'm going to give you
I'm going to take your contract
and
he said and I don't want to hear nothing about it
though go on go on vacation
like I said
though you don't see
you want to you wouldn't know
I was I was I was
did you have any teammates ever get in trouble
though when David Stern called you
it was a different type of energy
and he was letting you know I got all the car
remember when old boy from our team wasn't standing for the National Anthem?
So we had a guy that was running to the back during the National Anthem.
David Stern found out about it.
You better salute this country.
Yeah.
Amen.
That's how he was moving.
David Stern, the media was about to drop the story.
David Stern called Buddy.
Say, hey, listen, I need you out there for the National Anthem.
Buddy said, listen, because at that time, we didn't have any language in the contract that said, you got to be.
He said, listen, I'm not sitting down like Mike Maudev-Door roof.
I'm in the back.
I don't got to be out there.
There's no language that says,
whoopty, whoopty, woof.
David Stern says,
I don't think you're hearing me.
I'm going to find you and dare,
I'm going to find you,
I'm going to suspend you.
I'm going to dare the Players Association
to come after me.
They've got to fight to get all your money back.
And then after that,
when your contract is up,
you'll never work in this league again
and I'll make sure of it.
Buddy was out there like the last voice.
Oh, say, can you see?
That's how I'm just telling you,
That's how David Stern moved.
David Stern moved like a mob boss.
What did you say?
I looked him in his eyes,
I said what any real motherfucker would.
Yes, sir.
That's how David Stern move.
That's how David Stern.
You remember every time he would not stand up,
he didn't want to stand up the National Anthem.
That's how David Stern move.
Man, I was so scared.
I never mentioned nothing into after my contract was over.
2017 is the first time I said something.
You called David's Good.
I can talk.
You're like, we good?
So, uh...
Dave Stern, like...
I got moving into my game.
When he comes around, I'd be quiet.
When he'll be talking again.
Dog?
I heard the Ivers.
Yeah, I ain't never had to deal with that.
Shout out to David Stern.
He got my name right during Drive Night.
He took an extra moment to read my shit.
So shout out to him.
He never did me no wrong.
He didn't bother.
I was kid.
He didn't bother.
And as long as you don't get in trouble, he's on your side.
But if you ever get on the other side of David Stern,
he was moving different.
He knew.
Let's keep this day
I didn't get on the bad side
Whatever he said I was like
You tried it
I tried it I try
I try to negotiate
It's the only negotiation I ever lost
And I didn't
And I didn't get to negotiate
I just proposed my kickback
He was like yeah yeah
With all that
He's like oh you're a smarty-a-ass
Yeah
So what I said
Oh right all right
You're a genius
I thought we was gonna have like a talk
About the guy
It was 50 he said 50 first
Yeah
Said 50 second
And it was five
The negotiation work
He suspended me on my birthday.
What?
Happy birthday.
January 6th.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday.
On my birthday.
Like I had to, like, I was playing Cleveland in Cleveland.
Happy birthday.
Oh, it was jukeying, too.
I was about to bop them on the birthday, Cleveland?
You said that like, I played them.
He said, go home.
That's like I was in uniform.
In that record.
In that regular-ass hotel, like, this is crazy.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
But first, we got 27,000 people.
in the chat right now.
Let's go, chat.
Let's go, chat.
What a look?
Chat?
Hey, but chat, we're trying to see if that like button still works, so do us a favor.
Go ahead and hit that like button for us right now.
Let's make sure it's still working YouTube and having some bugs lately.
What juice?
What juice?

What iPhone is this?
I got the new and approved Gil Season 5.
Hey, I'm just going to say, chat, y'all prove me right.
You all prove me right.
You're proved me right.
What's that?
Who?
Please don't bring us in a more.
This man, Patty.
No, it ain't no drum.
It just...
What?
Huh?
I'm missing it.
Who he violent?
As long as the hands were something.
Who he violent?
We were going to do what we was going to do, baby.
He threw his shots at the old crew, man.
No, no, no, I didn't...
No, whoa, that's not the old crew.
Not supporter of the...
No, not our crew.
The people who tried to, like, who tried to, like, run shit around it?
Okay, all right.
Just making sure.
I told you.
Okay, you told you.
Oh, you told me.
You were right.
You was right.
I didn't know.
I'm all over going to tell us about YouTube.
I'm all we're going to talk about YouTube.
Take the show back, Joe.
They never been to YouTube.
No, we did take it back.
Okay.
You were right.
You're saying the right language.
Hey, I thought I was going to be jobless, so I'm just happy to be here, Gil.
Direct deposit, too much straight.
Want you to know.
On time.
Too much straight.
We don't need the lot no more.
Let's keep that streak rolling.
We don't need a lot no more.
We don't need a lot of all.
We was never going to be jobless.
We were just pretending.
Oh, please don't take the money.
No, boss, no.
No, don't do it.
Oh, really?
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
So what you're saying about the deal?
That's, does it?
Yeah.
Oh, no, don't do it.
No.
Two days?
Oh, no.
Gail not talking about anything in particular, ladies.
Season five.
For legal purposes, he's not speaking about any of these are merely hypothetical.
Season five.
Oh, y'all don't take talk for the game?
Oh, no.
That y'all don't want me to come home?
No.
Oh.
Oh, just hypotheticals.
These are all hypotheticals.
Tallest tail.
I should get a movie.
Hey, we speak this.
That's so good.
Uh-uh.
I agree.
It goes like this.
All you all fire to me.
Y'all don't want me to show up, oh, man.
And so we got AJ Savanza tomorrow.
All right, Pat.
We did have AJ.
But let's keep this thing moving.
We talked about the Lakerside.
Let's talk about the...

Middle school is a different world than the one we grew up in.
I'm Dr. Joy, and this is therapy for black girls.
We spent real time on it in our surviving middle school run,
bringing in a child psychologist and a psychiatrist
who's raising two black girls of his own
to talk about what's really going on with our kids right now.
So it's literally physiological and neurological and psychological and psychological chaos
happening all this end up.
We got into group chats and gaming,
friendships and bullying,
and how to tell the difference between healthy monitoring
and the kind of surveillance that erodes trust.
There's belonging.
You could think of belonging as I can be myself and I can still be accepted.
And then there's fitting in.
Spitting in says I have to change who I am in order to avoid rejection.
Then we turn the conversation toward the fathers,
sitting down with therapist Keer Gaines on Black fatherhood
and what it means to raise a daughter through this stage.
You don't have on shorts so you can't do flips.
You have on the dress.
You have to cross your legs.
That's the range of this run.
From screen time to identity to the father's doing the work at home.
You have to get off of a device.
But the reality is there's a lot of life out there
that we don't want you as your adults in their lives to miss out on.
This has been our surviving middle school run.
Brought to you by the people who spend their careers thinking about exactly this.
I'm Dr. Joy.

What do you think is harder?
Scoring a penalty kick or scoring a field goal?
He's in the NFL and I'm like, just a big factor.
I do enough.

Hi, it's Alec Baldwin.
on my podcast, here's the thing I'm speaking with more artists, policymakers, and performers,
like actor Stephen Root.
I think for me to be any good or for any character actor to be any good, you've got to put
enough of yourself and your empathy for people in it.
I'm a people watcher.
You see that guy going down the dream and go, yeah, I can use that.

Sixers side. So LeBron, plenty of
options this offseason, including a return
to the Lakers at a discount.
25, 25 million range gear, but the damage
had been done. With happiness and the
best basketball fit as his deciding factor,
Brown picked the Sixers,
taking an even bigger discount by signing
a two-year, $8 million deal.
Now he has back to the East to create a big
four with former MVP,
Joel Embed, All-N-BeeA guard, Tyrese,
and former finals MVP in all-NBA
wing, Jalen Brown,
with the roster that also includes first team all-Ricky selection, VJ Edgecom.
So let's start with the basketball fit in Philly.
And we're going to start with you.
Former number two overall pick.
And we go to the Phillies.
We got to start with you.
You missed the Philly.
But what are your expectations for LeBron in year 24 and the Sixers squad?
I think there will be a top three team in the East only based off the fact of,
I don't believe they're supposed to, I don't want to see LeBron play 65 games.
I want to see, I don't believe, M.B. should play 65 games.
I want to see them play just enough where they can get into the playoffs
and have some type of camaraderie.
The one thing I remember from last playoffs when they beat the Celtics,
the whole story was just Embed being like, hey, just run down on court.
I'll figure out how to play with y'all and I'll catch up.
Although that was cool, it was impressive, and they were able to win the series.
It's like, when you have a dominant big like that, you have that type of cast,
you need to make sure by the time you hit the playoffs,
all downhill running and knowing how to win for those three weeks, those four weeks.
And I just think the expectation should be, you know, third, but also trying to make sure everybody's healthy come April and May.
So you can make sure you have all your dominant players.
Because no matter what, if MB's on the floor, that's a completely different type of game play.
And you add that with Brian, Jalen Brown, and I don't expect them to be the best team during the season,
but to be dominant during that playoff run and finesse from there.
Because as long as NB is out there, you're going to have a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a team.
deep of trouble.
I like it for that, too.
They built for the playoffs.
It's not a roster that excites me for the year.
Because I feel like during the year, everybody's trying to get their shit off.
But it's like by the time the playoffs hit and it's late shot clock, they need a bucket.
They got Jalen Brown now to just go out here and figure out a bad shot.
That's a good shot to him.
But also, too, they got three points shooting.
And the narrative, it's just like, bro, I'm being tired of.
April hits and we wondering if MB is ready or not.
And that should never be the case anymore.
And now Bra is there.
The training staff is going to be a little different.
Yeah, but the training staff is going to be a little different.
But it's just like, yo, you should be able to show up.
And if he has knee problems, bro, like, he might play 50 games this year,
but he's going to play every game in the playoffs.
That needs to be the number one thing as opposed to coming to the playoffs
like the past three or four years.
They've been having, yeah, they've just been hurt.
Yeah.
But you've got a championship big if he gets there.
That's all I'm saying.
That has to matter at this point, as opposed.
to people being like,
yo, they're going to miss this,
or they might not make all NBA.
Let's make sure that at top seven or eight
know how to play with each other
pause at a high, high level.
And your guess,
to mention, how long do you think it's going to take
with them to accomplish that?
You got some big, not necessarily big personality,
but some dynamic stars.
Obviously, Jalen Brown was running the show
with the Celtics last season.
Forte Tatum came back,
and his number slid just a little bit,
obviously in beat a former MVP.
Tyreeze Maxie, now ready to take over
the keys of that Sixers franchise
in LeBron, year 24, with a chip on the shoulder,
still got something to prove.
Some interesting personalities in that locker room.
How long do you think it was taking them to mesh?
Yeah, I was just about to add, you should ask Shump that,
because I don't know what the day-to-day is like on the LeBron James Latte team.
So, like, I remember talking Isaiah Thomas and you hear stories about y'all not practicing.
Like, do you understand what I'm saying?
Or sometimes it's pause load management, and it's like, yo, the chemistry.
My fault, y'all, I got an addiction.
No, we appreciate it.
He pausing everything.
Yeah, but the camaraderie or whatever, that has to be built over time.
and knowing how to play and getting those attitudes tight right.
And B has his moments to the point where Tyrese had to call him out during his rookie year.
I think part of the bronze team being like you don't have to practice,
when you on bronze team, it's just a different prep for the game.
Like when I was with the Knicks, yeah, we did walkthroughs.
But when you on bronze team, you kind of always know we're supposed to win.
That was back in 2016, 17.
I'm not knocking.
I'm just saying it's a new day and age where you got this.
This LeBron James has walked into the league when he plays.
The expectation is you're the best.
You're going to win.
All right.
So you're not knocking.
You go to championship and you play around with the Spurs or OKC with that type expectation.
And they've been willing and dealing and they got the wheels in motion.
It's going to be a tough night for year 24, LeBron.
For sure.
an MB that's never showed up in the playoffs and then...
The pressure that Embed has faced once before was if Embed can't do it.
The pressure is now on Braun.
That's what Braun does.
He comes in like it bothered Kyrie.
Cairo had his own set of expectations, his own legacy, his own shit.
Braun comes and now it's about Braun.
So it's like that's what Tyrese is going to have to deal with.
That's what NB is going to have to deal with.
If y'all win,
Braun did this.
That mental battle is a, that's hard as hell.
That's the biggest problem I think a lot of players have to deal with.
Like when somebody comes,
you have to change who you are a little bit, ego-wise.
Yeah, but I watched LeBron last year
literally be the third option to Luca and AR.
To Luca and AR.
And I'm just saying like, bro.
It's like you said.
It's the proof of point.
Yeah, but once we watch,
I just think the times are definitely,
from 10 years ago to now year 14 Brian and year 24 Brian is two different completely
individuals.
Yeah, one drives to the basket, one turns his back to the basket.
Both of them are going to have a ball.
Both of them are going to control the situation.
Both of them are going to cause a tilt.
We're going to have to tilt and guard Brown one-on-one, but we're going to have to have
a man that's going to play the white and go play the lanes.
You're going to have to cleanse every three.
You can't guard Brown one-on-one now.
Who?
You can't guard Brown 101 right now.
Who?
No?
We just watched him in the playoffs.
He called a double.
One of the young boys.
They sent a double.
Like, OG on and nobody, we don't need no help with Brown right now.
That's what I'm saying.
You can't guard year 24 of Brian.
Not this one.
I don't think he does.
I think that if they played them in the playoffs, they're sending a double.
They are not.
I'm not.
With OG on them?
Yes, absolutely not.
You think so?
You already know what we're going to do.
Come straight downhill.
He's going to keep, he's coming down here from half court.
Double.
A double?
No, we need a.
O.G is strapping that.
straight.
Now, I'm not talking about
LeBron from back.
Year what?
You think he going to have a, you think,
you think Brian going to play against
OG Ananovi and actually be in a triple threat
and play face up?
I didn't say that. He's going to turn his back.
I don't care what that is.
He's going to walk down there.
He's going to say, give me the ball here.
He's going to turn his back and either
he shoots over his left shoulder or his right shoulder.
But either Bronn makes it or he misses it.
It doesn't have shit to do with OG.
I see that.
Listen, that, it's going to be, it's going to be a little bit
different.
But I think it's, like I said, I believe that
Bron is one of the coldest for all time.
I'm talking about this present version.
I believe there are certain guys.
In Philly, they're not going to, he's not going to get a double team?
Hell no.
Depending on who the-
Ron's going to be in single coverage.
Depending on who the defender.
Like, Tyrese.
You will be a, Brian, you heard this shuddy?
No, if they play.
Brian, you hit this shuddy.
Y'all hope you watch this, buddy.
You know what it is.
You know his media team see everything.
Hey, Brian, you see this shuddy.
I'm just saying this version of, like,
If O. G. Anobie is Gordon Braun, he don't need no help.
Not this version.
I'm not saying. They won't send it.
You bet not sending it.
They're not going to send it.
It's coming.
No, it's odd.
You can't have Ron back to basket and leave somebody down there to figure it out.
Bro, why not?
24 years in the league, bro.
Your man's going to have two fouls he's sitting out.
No way.
I am not sending.
I am not sending a double team.
You just watch to LeBron James.
You just watched them get double teamed.
with a fucking M-B there.
Oh, yeah, with M-B there.
Hold on, hold on.
I'm saying, if a beat is on the floor,
you're not saying it.
You're sending a double to LeBron.
No, you can't double.
That's what I'm saying.
So, Ron, I'm saying,
Bron, attracts these things.
Oh, no, for sure.
Now he has these weapons.
That's why I don't matter.
He's 24.
But even in, year 24,
you still think you need a double Brian?
No way.
Yes.
Not with certain guys.
How are you all watching the same?
Just last year.
That means.
Rob,
in the playoffs.
Katie, he was...
Who did he drive by for the OKC?
Talk to him.
Who did he drive by for OKC?
How do you say...
Well, whoa, whoa,
bringing up OJibri.
Whoa, whoa.
I'm just saying when he got...
When he got to OKC,
was like, we got to send the house.
No, and you didn't have to send the house
because you didn't have that man in the court either.
I'm just saying, hold on.
We're just strictly talking about, Ron.
Oh, but...
Oh, my himself.
Yeah, you just load up.
Okay, C did not have to send the house.
You load up.
They didn't.
They didn't.
And he was Doloh where he would have been the number one.
I get what you're saying.
That's OKC.
You see how you picked the champions?
I just picked the team.
That's what I'm talking about.
They're going to be based off three weeks.
They're not the champions.
They're not the champions.
I don't think the next thing.
I don't think Philly goes right away to the championship.
I don't think, but I think certain teams were all crazy.
Whoa, whoa.
This year?
M.B. got to pull up, bro.
I, I, I want to hit it.
I want to see them in April.
What's your?
What's your, you think they're going to do?
And I don't fuck with Philly.
Okay.
That's why I'm glad y'all doing all this abroad.
Jaylor, you hit it?
Because I'm mad that the nigga took $8 million.
He's asking us for $50 and took eight.
So I ain't fucking with them.
It's the principal.
Right?
You want the 50 over here, but you took, you took two-year $8 million over there.
You could have signed that shit here.
He ain't want to be there.
And we wouldn't have had half this roster.
To get blamed for this time?
To get blamed for this team?
So you blame it, bro.
Fuck it.
Come on.
8 million
8
I would have gave you 20
on GP just because
So you signed 8
He got all the trophies
Now imagine
Now think about our roster
What he needs more
Now imagine our roster
With the 8 million
He's kidding at him
So you got Philly
And we got Kessler
And we got them
Then
But this is not about us
So you got Philly doing what?
What you got Philly doing?
Now you tell me
What do you tell me
I got it
Hold on
Tell me Philly's flaw
If everybody doesn't
Don't use injury
I got it
That's the problem.
Shut up, I got it.
What's Philly's for?
Rim protection.
Rim protect.
Who's going to do the...
Hold on.
Hold on.
When you look at Philly,
Braun playing the four,
he ain't blocking no shots.
Who's rim protected?
Hold on.
M.B.
Don't block no.
Go look at it.
This shit, dude, sir.
Two blocks.
I didn't what you jumping up to town for, man?
Did you?
He talking facts?
He talking facts?
Do I got a jail?
Do I got a jail?
Do I got a Jane and B.
He didn't finish games.
At 7 foot two, he done finished.
He done finish these games with four rebats.
Do I have a Jalen Brown on my team?
Do I have a young VJ on my team?
Do I have a maxi?
So I got three players on the perimeter that do the damn thing.
You get past them dinners of LeBron James.
He's doing all his job.
He's going to clean up what?
He does his job before you get there.
So he's closing everything.
Then I got Embed back there who's going to get a ball.
So I have defense.
Hold on.
Have y'all seen you've been in this league, Gil.
I don't need a wimby back there.
My guards don't, my guards don't get burned past like that.
Hold on, hold on.
You don't.
Everybody in the wimby.
Hold on, hold, hold on.
You can't hand check.
You don't need a wimby, but most championship teams, they got a big man that do the dirty work.
Who's going to do that for Philly?
When you look at Golden State, hold on, hold on.
You got, hey, you got, listen, look at Shumpingham's team.
You had Tristan setting screens, blocking shots, rolling fast.
They got Mr. Robbins.
Mitchell Robinson was huge for the news last year.
Before he elbow,
Wimby and shit,
that shit wasn't going like that.
Only thing,
he came in like,
hey,
you him,
shutty up.
Yeah,
let me get that.
Oh, my,
we just grabbed,
they just grabbed Jaylon Brown, right?
Okay.
Yeah.
Amen.
And then you're adding
LeBron James mine in the back,
and you're going to tell me they're going to.
I'm not talking about his mind.
His mind ain't going to block no shot.
No,
if them two kids,
more block.
A game together?
No.
What are we doing?
I don't know what you're talking about?
How many years is the bond average two blocks?
You want that?
What was the late for defense with that?
At 24 you want Brian to get two blocks?
Evan.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
At 24, you want Brian to get two blocks at the powerful position.
I want one point about.
No, that's what he just said.
I want one point three.
One point three.
Games, two blocks.
Everything else is doing one.
Okay, well, you said two for the season.
I'll let you go.
No, no, just big games.
Two blocks.
You know what you're saying.
What Brendan is saying is Anthony Edwards is going to come in there and try and get a bucket.
How?
Do you think that he's going to have a problem getting to the rim?
Peter Brown's going to guard.
What the fuck is what does?
Taylor Brown guarded him last year, niggins.
We're talking about in B blocking a shot.
Braun blocking a shot.
Once it get athletic.
I can do my-
It's going to get athletic.
Say it again after what?
Affiletic.
And what is my one, two, three,
athletic?
My one, two, three jumps over.
I got a two that jumps over people.
Bro, they got Taco Fall.
I got a two who jumps over people.
Hey, hey.
What he does is not even legal.
Listen.
And listen, they all are getting by.
Like, do you think Luca's not going to get by Tyrese Maxie?
Luke ain't going to finish shit.
He's going to float this shit out of him.
What you mean he ain't going to finish, my boy?
He's going to float the fuck out of him.
I'm just saying,
M.B.
can get two blocks, bro.
That's not crazy the shit on earth.
When I see MB, big ass, I'm not going to the paint.
I can keep him.
I can't.
I guess.
What's buddy named?
What's the other big of Detroit?
No, no, no.
Paul will protect some shit
You go up
You now have to change your finish
Because I'm here
That's rim protection
You ain't changing shit
You're beating Embed to the room
And hold on
I can keep
What I'm saying
Are people changing their route
Are people seeing in bead
And saying you know what
You see how Wembe
protects the rim
People see him and say
You know what
I ain't got my feet together
Let me get to the three point
For the past three years
Hold on let me
Hey show up let me
That's what he said
Hey, Sean. Where's the rep?
Who's going chest to chest, rule of verticality.
They can keep them from that.
Hold on. Hold on.
They have athleticism to keep people to see it.
I would love to see it.
Hey, listen.
If what you were saying, I understand what you're saying, if it was, hey, let's go play one-on-one, Bing, Bing, Bing.
This one, I'm going to give you what they're going to do to Philly before the season.
Everybody that sees them in the playoffs.
Real talk.
I'm going to give it to you for free.
And when you see it, make sure you give me your credit.
I'm gonna give it to you for free.
Give me my credit in May when it happens.
Come on, man.
We are recording right now.
They're going to put them in the mid-pick-and-roll.
Come on.
And B. going to run that.
Sorry, his drop is not good.
They've been blowing by him all playoffs.
When you blow by him, when you blow by him, if your weak side is broad, you're cooked,
they're going to be in there laying it up like this.
That is how they're going to attack Philly.
Oh, give me a pick-and-roll.
Give me two people on the pick-and-roll.
Jalen Brunton and whoever he need.
Carl Anthony.
Give me one.
Jalenin-Bronston.
Braun
What is he doing?
What is he doing with Jaylor?
No, he's going to leave him beat at the rim
And he's going to take the table.
Oh, man. We played basketball before.
I did this shit before.
I know.
Antoine.
Jared?
But he's saying he's saying
Jared?
Did you see how bad our defense was?
Jared?
Did you see how bad our defense was it?
Jared?
He's saying that that's the advantage you have
LeBron there for.
LeBron can make that adjustment.
What's the adjustment?
He's going to take the pick and now.
So now I got I got LeBron.
Now, Branc can stay man to man.
But you know what it's going to be?
You know what it's going to be.
Oh, bronze guard him?
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, no, no, no.
Who does it be guard?
Who did he switch to?
No, no, no, no.
You stop.
You stop.
He's over here now.
They're going to make him play in the middle of the court.
Once they make him play in the middle of the court, because his drop coverage is not
what it used to be.
As a big man, as a Gil, as a big man, I see it.
I love to heed.
I respect him.
Why do you think I got two defensive-minded people?
Who?
When you don't,
he's going to get screen.
It's a ball screen.
It's a ball screen.
I was heralded and,
this,
niggins was like,
oh man,
you're morgue to lock up a lot.
I really just couldn't get no more shots
because I always play with the guys
that shoot a lot.
But when I'm guarding somebody,
it's like sometimes it don't matter
because James Hardin is not going to do
the shake show with me.
He's going to be like,
come get this man.
Yeah.
And that's cut in,
give me this ball screen shot.
I got a one,
do your coverage.
Last year,
you're gone.
Last year Nick's did.
You're gone.
You're the back.
B and it was just like, we're going to figure it out.
Because Embed at one point, M. B was getting like 50.
Last year, I didn't have LeBron and Jalen Brown.
You're right.
This is a very different team.
All I'm saying is, like Brendan is saying, at some point, Embedd's going to have to be
there for the drop.
What he's saying is, it's going to be fooled.
Yeah, we tried that shit with Shaquille O'Neill, too.
That shit works here and there.
Are you comparing Embed to Shack?
No, I'm just saying, you're going to sit in that drop.
Are you going to come off this drop?
You're going to sit in that drop shack.
I'm going to go to do this pick and roll.
I'm going to hit this mini.
Miami was a great defensive team.
Cool.
Cool.
Like, but I'm just saying.
You're not factor in in B then.
You're not factoring what they got extra.
I am.
Yes.
No, no.
I'm taking all that into account.
I'm saying when I look at this team, when I look at championship teams,
they normally have some players up front that do the dirty work.
You got a guy that can switch a pick and roll like a Draymond green.
Yeah, he ain't going to shoot all the balls,
but he's going to do the dirty work.
You're going to have a guy like a Mitchell Robinson that can come off the bench for the Knicks and change a series.
You're going to have somebody that's going to scream, hard-ass scream, roll down the lane.
And B don't even want to screen and roll.
He want to screen and pop.
So I'm just sitting at this saying, when I look at this team, the game is, as much as they shoot threes, the game is still won in that paint.
You got to affect that paint.
And defensively, I don't think Philly going to affect the paint.
Defensively, I don't think Philly's going to affect the paint.
That's the DNA of the league.
And they're going to attack them in the middle of the court.
and that's what's going to happen.
I'm going to be here and say it today.
Well, I step up a job.
You better have a hundred.
And when I come back in May, listen, in May,
we're going to figure out that day.
That's exactly what they did.
Real talk.
I know it's coming too.
Everybody.
Everybody.
That's what you do.
And the playoffs,
during the regular season,
whoever want to clap their hands on whatever they do,
fine.
When the playoffs get here,
it's going to be the same shit over and over.
Where's it be that?
How healthy are you today?
give you the second problem?
The second problem is going to be
trying to figure out what it's going to be.
Who going to shoot?
Bingo.
Only one basketball.
Hold on. Hold on.
When you play, hold on.
It's only one.
Well, let me grow that bad.
Then you keep jumping over there.
Listen, at the end of the day, you're coming down the stretch of a game.
The Knicks know exactly how they're winning games.
That's why they beat the spur.
I'm still going to do it.
Because they know exactly where the ball's going to go, who's going to get it,
what the play's going to be, where everybody's going to go.
hey, this is the play.
Bam, everybody fan out.
Now, in Philly, who get it?
It's going to be like, hey, Tyrese Maxy.
Now, if he's not hit the shot, if he got it going.
If he missed two or three shots,
Jalen are going to be over there looking at him like this.
Then you know, Brian's going to be over there like,
I'm still the king.
And B's going to be over there.
Oh, you know, you know, you can throw it to me.
Like, you already know, you already know what it's going to be.
That's not a good impression.
That was a very, very good thing.
I was not ready.
Oh, you know, you know, you can still throw it to me.
Like, you like that one.
You like that one.
Don't leave me hanging.
Don't let me like that one.
You liked it.
I just like this.
Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches,
there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the pasto survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full,
or come home at all?

By age 11 or so, at least 70% have a phone. Middle school is a different world than the one we grew up in.
I'm Dr. Joy, and this is therapy for black girls. We spend real time on it in our surviving middle school run,
bringing in a child psychologist and a psychiatrist who's raising two black girls of his own to talk about what's really going on with our kids right now.
So it's literally physiological and neurological and psychological and psychological chaos happening all this same time.
We got into group chats and gaming, friendships and bullying, and how to tell the difference between healthy monitoring and the kind of surveillance that erodes trust.
There's belonging. You could think of belonging as I can be myself and I can still be accepted.
And then there's fitting in. Spitting in says I have to change who I am in order to avoid rejection.
Then we turn the conversation toward the fathers, sitting down.
with therapist care gains on Black fatherhood
and what it means to raise a daughter through this stage.
You don't have on shorts, so you can't do flips,
you have on the dressy, you have to cross your legs.
That's the range of this run,

You have to get off her device,

So, we know a little something.

like a number 10. Do you know what that means? Then we go over to France. Ligoon. Liga.
L'an? Liga. He knows more. He's better than me. What do you think is harder? Scoring a
penalty kick or scoring a field goal? He's in the NFL and I'm like just a big fact. I do it.
That's crazy. Join us each week for a quick chat with your soccer-loving bros about the best sport in the world.

Hi, it's Alec Baldwin. This season on my podcast, here's the thing I'm speaking with more artists,
policymakers, and performers like actor Stephen Root.
I think for me to be any good or for any character act to be any good, you've got to put
enough of yourself and your empathy for people in it. I'm a people watcher.
You see that guy going down the dream and go, yeah, can you?
is that? Open Igloo co-founder, Alia Mohammed. I love staying on top of what is going on in
our city, what is going on in city politics, what is on renter's minds, and taking all of that
knowledge to build a platform that hopefully is going to make New York City better in the long run.
And actress and singer Melissa Eriko.

All I'm saying is...
I thought it was one of them drops out played on the speaker.
That's your boy.
But all I'm sitting there saying is at the end of the games, it's going to be your turn, my turn,
and that's why you very rarely win it the first year because you got to figure all this out.
Go through a little bit of heartache and come back and do it again with everybody
won the sacrifice.
The coaches got to figure out how to get this guy
not to take this shot at this time,
but not piss him off
and still have him engaged.
Some of these other teams, like the Knicks,
they ain't got their problems.
They already know how they want to win.
Real talk.
So if Philly don't win,
it's going to be because of the chemistry
at the end of ball games
and how you attack them in the mid-pick and roll
and the rent protection
because they don't have a big man
to do the dirt work.
They might not even run a regular woodshund.
They might run a black ball screen.
How are you going to solve?
Huh?
How are you going to solve?
If we beat their ass in the first three
quarters, we ain't got worried about the last
two, three minutes.
Man, good luck with it.
You remember, uh, first the,
the, what in the first quarter?
If I want to beat Philly,
Embed, you're getting two fouls.
You remember.
Or you better not play no defense.
Like, you remember, you remember, you remember,
you remember, we gonna kill y'all?
Like, how many, how many game winners?
You all 25?
Hey, who shot the last shots that go,
with Golda State?
Um.
Stefan Curry.
Did it?
I thought he was sitting on the bench.
When?
Them years.
Then what years?
Them years when it was in the championship?
They didn't win in 73.9?
No, that's 739?
Oh, you said during the regular season.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They didn't have them problems.
They didn't win the championship.
But they didn't have a problem.
They didn't win the championship.
But what I'm saying is, they didn't have them problems.
We'll figure out when we had that problem once in the Blue Moon.
But if we're beating everybody ass, we don't have to worry about that.
Like, do y'all not know what this team is made up?
I got one of the fastest.
I said, during the season, fine.
My guard, you can't stay in front of my goal.
At all.
He average 28.
100%.
He has 28.
He has 28.
with my big man out there.
So, you can't even double him.
At all.
Then my shooting guard, right?
MVP race.
And jump.
So that means when he gets the ball,
you got to be back there.
Now I got Jalen Brown at my three, right?
I got Jalen Brown on my three.
Who wants to attack that middle two?
MVP, right?
Then I got the Bronjays.
When the ball is in his hand,
I got to still watch the back doors, lobs.
I got to watch for all of that.
Then there's the end.
Then there's the best player.
When healthy,
is Argon for MVP.
Yeah.
What the fuck we're going to do with him?
There's only one basketball,
but we complicate that.
One basketball even coming down a stretch
is literally like, hey, bro,
you got to handle the Brian.
The Olympics had one basketball.
With Max,
they figure that shit out.
With Maxxie's faced.
They figured it out.
Who got the ball?
Huh?
Who got the ball down stretch?
Huh?
We know who going to have the ball.
He's going to.
Brian.
Who always has the ball?
Brian going to stay.
That's what Brindon is saying, though.
Hey, can you be Jalen Brown.
Jaylon Brown been doing that.
He's used to it.
He's used to it.
He's been in the right corner.
He liked that.
He's been in the right corner.
He was cool.
That ain't what he said on his Twitch.
Hey, brother.
He was on his Twitch.
He said he liked being the first side.
I don't know what he liked being the first side.
He's talking about the brunt.
And what they do with him?
What they do with him?
What are they do?
What do you just said?
LeBron did it used to be.
I told you.
But he's still going to have.
If you was in your prime, do you think you let a declining LeBron that's just
staying for.
Hey, and this.
He just won the first round series last week.
That's the best IQ.
Because if you give Braun that ball, and let's just say
Braun shit, it don't go in.
There's going to be a lot of eye rolls.
Like, oh, you don't.
Not from Tyrese.
From my lot.
Not from M.B.
It's not, that's when it go good, you don't get the eye rolls.
When it go bad and then it looked like it's Bronn and the other guys.
Egos are real, bro.
Listen, when it's, that's not.
That's not, that's ego.
But is that going to happen with this.
If it's going to happen.
You're doing good.
I don't want you to do it.
If we lost, and I feel like you should have gave me that bitch
because I'm younger, I can handle it.
You're just a little older.
That's what you got me for.
Get to the bad.
But LeBron ain't doing that.
Get to the back of the bus,
that ball is going to Maxie and Maxie only.
That's all, that's who's getting the ball.
Maxi, because he's the one that has the advantage.
You keep thinking it's going to Maxie only.
Jalen Brown ain't come by here to just watch the Maxi show.
Yeah.
And listen.
You don't want that ball.
Hey, listen.
And B, they don't.
It's going to be out here just acting like atmosphere.
How are you going to ask for the ball?
Oh, I can still do it.
Give me the ball.
Like, listen, and B. He going to want that rock.
He wanted it last year when Maxie was going by himself.
I don't give a fuck what you won't.
I know what you're going to get.
He don't want me the fourth option.
I know what you want.
Jalen Brown said, what did he say?
He said, this was what?
This is most fun year.
This was more fun year.
What did the boss is saying?
They threw him out like, like,
take your fun ass over somewhere else.
And he did.
Yeah.
So it don't matter
If you want to win a championship, right?
Get your ass in that right corner
Where you spend most of your career
Trust me
Hey, it sounds good
Being a nigga that had to be on that team
I had to deal with
I'm mellow men's
I'm in bronze men's you gotta deal with that mental battle
You gotta deal with
Oh over here
Yeah I just had 25 but next game
He ain't running no place for me
You got 25 that's cool
Sit your ass down
It's a king on trumpet
You understand that.
You got Maxie.
That's five people that feel like it's my time.
Hey, Sean, hold on, hold on.
Hold on, hold on.
Shut, remember what we talked about in the van on the way over here.
We talked about when you and J.R. first got to Cleveland
and y'all were forced to stand in the corner.
And I'd be like, hey, man, a young fella.
You're going to talk.
I bet young fella.
It's going to be all right.
You just play the rock.
Straight up.
It's going to be okay.
Y'all didn't want to just be corner boys.
Now, what do you think that would have been like for you if you had Jalen Brown?
resume.
That's what I'm saying.
So that's what I'm saying.
So like, I was trying to talk you off the clip
and you were cold.
Real talk.
But you didn't have Jayne Brown's resume.
No, put it out there again.
I was never in them conversations.
If you had Jaylon Brown's,
you know why I didn't go talk to K. Love?
Because I was like, hey, man, you just thought to deal with it.
I'm sorry.
Real told.
Because Kloved didn't like, I played with Kay Love.
Kave came from.
Kelaub hated standing in that damn corner.
Kay Love was the dog?
He hated it.
But what did he stand?
Where he was told?
And what else did he do?
He had to deal with the mental battle of it.
I don't know if I'm going to deal with you stare your ass to that.
Oh, the boy.
Bro, you got to cover yourself as honor about the ease.
Bro, don't we hear that shit.
I just said he didn't like it.
I was all I'm saying.
He didn't like it.
I don't know if everybody can do what Kevin Love did.
No, but the second.
I'm just saying, Jalen Brown might want.
Bro, Jalen Brown got more of a way than Kay Love.
Well, and Jailen Brown.
What I do know from.
watching Jalen Brown.
Yeah.
He wants to win.
For sure.
He had fun last year.
Yeah.
But when Tateham came back, he did take a backseat.
Yes.
He did.
Right?
So Jalen Brown at the beginning of the seat,
this team is going to be ran off them three guards.
They're going to do all the heavy lifting.
Who?
Yes.
I'm not saying.
Maxie, VJ and Jayne Brown.
Vijay getting cut out of the show.
Bro, yeah, no, he's going to be the other.
He's going to be the other.
That's still good, though.
Play defense.
But when we're talking about cut out, you got to remember,
my point guard is the fastest on the team.
The shooting guard is the second fast,
which means what we're going to do is we're going to take off.
And B.
We're going to take, we go.
What I'm saying is, first of all, we're going to go,
if we have to set up, then it would be LeBron and what's saying.
But the three, them three, they're going to be trying to get fast break the whole time.
Vij is going to have the hardest adjustment.
Now, I think he's going to be fucking.
A young kid,
let's just govern them a little bit and be like,
bro, they know they roll.
When Jaylen got traded to the Sixers,
they got Anthony Simons coming off the bench.
They got a lot of people.
They got Dean Way from the Cavend.
That's where they come in and here, punch somebody.
That's them.
La Bear and Fire Law, Jr.
Yeah, bro, they know they rose.
But when Jay B saw LeB.
Come over, I don't think he was sitting there being like
LeBron need to get his shit together
and figure out how to play with me.
to play devil's advocate a little bit more.
I think people like,
yo,
J.B. ain't going like this.
J.B. ain't going like that.
J.B. just be screaming for a little bit of respect.
He don't want all the spotlight.
He's like,
just give me my goddamn respect
and not a backhanded compliment.
He's not sitting there.
Like, he knows how to play the second option.
He knows he's one B.
He's just like, give me my respect.
Not every time I do something.
It's like because the lack of Jason or whatever else.
I just want to give credit to that and being like,
yo, it's LeBriand.
It's LeBron.
I understand what you're saying, but everybody doesn't feel the way you just described.
Why not?
I'm just, I'm just, it's winning.
Hold on.
Hey, listen, you just, you brought up Kai.
When LeBron came to that team, Kyrie was cold, but he wasn't close to Brown.
Kai didn't always love that.
Yeah, but he also didn't make the playoffs and LeBron had to come to the team.
When they relied on, hey, he was missing games and everything.
He was sitting out on his teams and everything.
You're making sense.
I'm talking about, not you.
I'm saying it's delusional mindset.
That's why Kyrie hit that shot because he's delusion.
Kyrie was the nicest.
That's why he hit that shot.
He's delusional.
If Kyrie didn't break his kneecap,
we would have never even known about a Warriors dynasty.
It would have been over the year before.
You didn't even need Kevin Love.
If LeBron had a one-on-one move at the end of regulation,
Kyrie would have never broke his kneecap
and he probably would have-
proven.
Evan, I'm just, I'm just.
You're going to finish it.
And we still would have won that game.
My fault.
No, no, you get that tip in.
And y'all would have finished the fourth quarter.
Kyrie won a broke his kneecap literally in overtime.
Because what do you have on the stuff?
28, 8, 7, 3 blocks, 4 stills.
He was at him.
It was fin to be over.
This whole dynasty that was built was off LeBron being by himself
and Della Dadova running out of gas.
No, I'm not saying you're wrong.
I agree with everything you just said.
I'm still taking it back to the mentality.
That's what we're talking about.
The dog.
You are right.
But there are going to be some dogs that are going to be sitting over there like,
It's my ball.
Straight up.
Hey, listen, no.
Did we not have it?
Gillo, you think, I don't want you to understand.
I don't think Jalen Brown is going to see Tyrese getting off and say nothing.
That's not what I'm saying.
But I'm telling you, when you lose game three and game four is a must win or y'all lose home court,
it's going to be all type of shit that's going to enter the chat.
do you think Jalen Brown is now going to say
I'll take a back seat and just
Because when we lose the season's over
The dog and Jalen Brown
The competitor in him is not allowing that
I don't know if Tyrese Maxie is going to allow that
He ain't in it huh
Tyrese a good kid though
He's a great kid
Will he accept losing
Yes
Of course he's been losing shit
Hey listen it's tough
Even though they made the play
If you're in the position you don't know
Even though they made the play off
Sixers and sixers
You're losing culture.
Am I wrong for saying that?
You're bogus.
You got drafted it up.
They don't bother me.
No, no, no.
I'm just saying like when you're saying, well losing bothered Tyrese maxi, I'm saying even though when they made the playoffs, they should have been, they haven't made it past the second round since Iverson was there.
When we're sitting there realistically, even the past 10, 12 years and they spent a bajillion dollars, like, I'm not dissing Philly, but it's like, well, it bothered Tyrese.
Tirese is a cute little kid bringing back the energy.
Oh.
I'm saying he's a little puppy.
saying he's a little puppy bringing back the energy
when you're waiting for Joe M.B. to play
90 games in four years.
So when you sit there and it's like, hey, will he
do what makes sense for sure?
But losing don't really bother him because
he's the first one and really take it serious.
We had to sit around and look at front offices
and be like, hey, they didn't show up today.
You didn't do this. Like, listen, I
understand all of that. I'm just
I'm with Shump because
when I've been on teams, they have
multiple stars. It's tough. And those
stars start getting asked
Because you know what happens?
You know what happens?
When you, that third or fourth guy,
that all NBA that you used to get,
you don't get that no more.
That All-Star game that you used to get invited to,
now you better be hoping to get in as an alternate.
That messes with them guys' ego.
Hold on.
I'm glad you said that.
And so that's why I brought up Kevin Love
because Kevin Love did a great job sacrificing,
but in the moment, there were times where he didn't like it.
When you're talking about,
I thought he should have the ball sometimes.
And you're like, nah, he couldn't have thought that.
Well, I remember when Braun turned that thing over against the Spurs
and Kyle was like, yeah, man, it's the regular season again.
Kyle was like, yeah, Brian need to come work with me on this game in the offseason.
I was like, oh, but that's where his mind is.
Because Kai, we, somebody else might not have seen Kai on Braun and Katie's level.
Kai always saw himself on that level.
And so when you start to, hold on, when you start telling guys like that to sacrifice.
But I'm saying, that's why it's going to be telling guy.
Hold on, hold on.
When you start telling guys like that.
A number one pick, a franchise guy who's trying to get in this thing and then someone trumps him.
A bunch of these guys think they don't want to be a franchise guy.
Remember, Jason Brown problem has been he's been trumped this whole time.
And now he's getting Trump.
His problem has been he's never got his flowers.
Now he's getting trumped again.
No, yeah.
So he's already been whipped and he's won and he's sacrificed already.
So you're trying, you're trying to make it seem like he had this year.
The year he had was only to say, I told you.
That's it.
You traded everybody.
I told you, motherfuckers, I can do it.
Now I can go back and do what I've been doing and winning and doing it.
You've been fucking me this whole time.
What?
That was aggressive.
Innocence.
Okay.
You know what I mean?
No lotion.
Y'all been doing that.
All stars I've won.
You haven't given me credit for you.
You haven't given me credit for all NBAs I could have got.
You haven't given me credit.
The world watched you put the fourth option to the USA team when that could have been me.
We watched you.
And this man still has came up and done his job.
He's already been hit with the ego thing.
Kai got hit before he got accolades.
That's when it happens.
When you're the dog and you sitting there, this is who I'm here.
I'm here.
And then boom.
LeBron comes.
And I'm sitting here hitting these shots.
Boom.
And then all the reporters coming there,
you're like, yeah, by the other.
And what do?
Run a Bron.
Run a LeBron.
Hey, LeBron, you won a series for us.
You did all that.
You sit back there and you sit there like this.
But that's why I gave you the example of Kai and Caleb,
because Kelao was the best power forward in the game.
Yeah.
People forget that.
So when he had to come over and sacrifice,
that meant something.
So when Embed is used to getting 18 shots,
and you get that cut.
Well, high leverage guys don't like them shots
getting cut down from 18 shots to 8.
Role players know how to survive like that.
Hey, high level.
I can do.
Hey, role players know how to go from eight shots to six shots.
Not a big deal.
But when a high leverage guy gets his shots cut from 16 to 9,
start getting up.
Hey, man.
And then you mess around and lose a couple games.
I mean, I know I ain't out here taking nine shots.
Yeah, your ass going to.
Hey, Matt, he's been doing that.
Matt has he been doing that for two years for you.
That's for that secret group chat started up.
No, that's real.
But let me say.
You're acting like if B ain't taking the ballot
I know we keep saying
And B has been the second option
What I'm saying is this
Who's the first option?
Maxie
What I'm saying is okay
I don't know if Jalen Brown is going to
With that.
Maxi got to know
He was the first option
And they've been losing
Who
Maxi has been first option
And they ain't won shit
That's their culture
Listen
In B was the number one option
They ain't won.
Jalen Brown was the number one option.
And y'all didn't win shit.
He won.
When you were the first option, you didn't win shit.
I was like, who was the finals MVP when Jalen Brown won?
Jalen Brown.
Okay.
Who led every statistical category?
But was he the first option?
Okay, I get that.
But was he the first option?
He was Eastern Conference.
He didn't lead the team in nothing, though.
Nothing.
Jason led the team in everything.
Jason led the team in every category.
Except for Eastern Conference Finals.
Except for MVP.
So that's a series.
There's 82 games and then there's...
That's fine.
Even a playoff piece is letting and everything.
I'm just saying.
Jaylon Brown has those things.
No, I get that.
Tyrese, what is he going to say to Jalen Brown?
It was M.B.
Give me the fucking ball.
Okay, hold on.
But when he says that, what the fuck does M.B say?
Because he's going to be like, I get it, bro.
I get it, bro.
Give me the ball.
I think M.B.
is tired of that playoff pressure, bro.
I'm going to be completely honest.
No, no, no.
But I can tell you, that's not even my problem.
That's not even the issue.
The issue is not that.
And B be hooping in the playoffs?
Do not.
Why?
I think M. B is going to be grateful
and being like, you know what, bro,
when it comes playoff time, I got to go up against this
playoff defense.
I'm injured half the time.
I've been averaging the 18.
in the game in the play. I'm glad somebody else
is going to be there to help handle the scoring
load because no matter what, when you go in the
Sixers, you're like, we're going to have to stop Maxie.
He's going to get his 30, and then we're going to
stop him beat and you want to know who succumbs
to the pressure every, bro, MB,
playoff wise, when it's all cool
when we win it. What I'll tell you is
when you lose and they start pointing fingers
you down to one, when you down to
it changes. We ain't going to be down
to one. Hold on. Hold on.
Listen, you said, you said, hold on
you said because Max, it's the Maxxie's team
for the last two years, you said,
you said MB's already been in the back seat.
But now you got Braun and you got Jalen Brown.
Forget the back seat.
He might be in the trunk.
So that's what I'm trying to figure out.
Maxie got the ball.
On some games, Mee's going to be the fourth option.
Forget the back seat.
He might be in the trunk.
Bro, he can play off the ball with the ball.
Bro, he's getting 20 a night and two stills.
No, no, no, I'm talking about him.
He's a fucking B.
He's a third option.
Damn, dog, dog.
Where are that's the truth?
That's the truth.
I literally, I literally,
I learned that you see why me and Brendan
Oscelling.
They don't have a surprise.
Bro, M. B played 90 games in three years.
I'm straight.
This is a hobby to you.
Listen, Jaylen Brown.
When you come back?
The fact of the way he got this.
You see that F&B?
That's exactly, oh, that's what y'all owe.
Okay.
I have, okay.
You don't want to, yeah, Nick, we're kicking it on the team.
Like, I'm so happy that Kai, Braun and Caleb end up figuring it out.
But that's a, but, though, that first time.
That first year, that first year, that first year, who.
You'd be like, who, what's that no, what's that no way to give?
But it really happens because they have to deal with so much.
Well, you had to deal with it because you was a star of a team.
But y'all have to deal with so much shit, so much pressure, so many conversations that a lot of us don't have to deal with.
So y'all can sit.
But now five of them have to deal with.
No, there's not five of them.
It's not five.
That's one person that winning and losing is going to be blamed for.
He's dope.
I'm saying DJ.
No, the fact that y'all think VJ.
Edgecom and just like, oh, I'm happy to be here.
No, I don't think that's a case.
The moment they lose for being non-athletic or ain't running fast enough,
he's going to be like, so I'm this young, I'm ready to play 48 minutes,
and I got to wait because y'all older than me.
He bet not.
Hey, listen.
I'm saying, you ask them people to not have a high-up.
Hey, listen, hey, F, I can only talk.
I love to always talk from my experience, right?
So I just talk about what I see, and what you're saying is they bet not.
Before y'all got there, I remember having a conversation, me,
Mike Miller, James Jones.
We were sitting down with Deion
Waiters. Oh, Deon's cold.
Hold on.
Deon's double down. South Philly cheese.
What up, baby?
But we were trying to get Deion to realize
Yeah, that's a hot.
Yeah, that's hot.
Dog.
He'll snatch you up.
He will.
But we were trying to get Deon to realize
you got Braun, Kai,
and Keeleff.
That's different.
He's different.
I'm just telling you.
He's a dog.
What I'm saying?
That's right.
He's the guy that wanted.
the ball.
Yes.
Because you're saying,
well, these guys aren't going to think like that.
We said, Dion, you're not going to get the same shots.
Them step, you're going to, we were trying,
I remember Mike Miller and James Jones trying to tell Dion how he needed to play
now that the team looked a little different.
Yeah, I understand.
And Dion looked him dead in the eyes and said, some of these guys are going to get out the way
and make room for me.
You know how Mike Miller did it.
When he walked off, he's like, hey, he ain't going to be here by Christmas killer.
Real talk.
And he wasn't.
Yeah.
Because, but what I'm trying to show you is the mindset.
That's what you think just because Brian is in town.
You think just because Braun is in town,
on everybody or this guy's there.
Some of them guys, some of them guys ain't going to want to hear that.
They ain't going to hear it because they ain't going to be there.
Let's just be honest.
Brun has traded some of the top players in the world to be like,
Russ Westwood's like, you know what?
We got out of there, bro.
You know what Ari Bet say less?
Like all the people.
Let's just be honest.
And this is what you're not factoring in.
Oh, to me.
there's only one man
that's going to be blamed for losing
and gets credit for winning.
Lebanon.
That's going to be LeBron James,
meaning
Jay LeBron gets to play free,
Maxie gets to play free,
and B for the first time
gets to play free.
As a third option.
Right?
As a third option,
because what ends up happening is
LeBron's legacy
will be looked at only.
Everyone else gets the benefit.
at this moment in time because there's no pressure.
If Jalen Brown goes out there and miss a game winner,
they're going to say, why LeBron?
I didn't shoot.
I get it.
Bro, LeBron, why you didn't get it?
You're basically.
So no, so you ask it men not to be men, bro.
I don't know.
You can be your man, but you don't, you get to be it freely.
Yeah, I'm paying.
So Jalen Brown, they don't got to look around
because Brawn's going to get blamed for all of it,
no matter what.
So you get to play the best free basketball you get to play.
This is the first time that Tyrese is going to feel like every game
people see this.
Yep.
Yeah, they see this.
It's different.
You see it.
You don't have to worry about your blame for.
Tyrese appraise approached the game differently.
Listen, no.
Tell that shit to Russell Westbrook.
Shump, that's a great point.
Because the moment they fucking lost,
niggins start talking about Russell fucking Westbrook.
Who?
Everybody.
The whole world was violating this man like he couldn't hoop.
There's a narrative.
I'm like, LeBron James requires you to change your game,
act a certain way, move a certain way.
Winning follows him.
It's nothing he.
he can do about it. It's a big-ass shadow
that is just going to come over you.
Every game matters. There ain't no more
soft Tuesdays. But I'm saying. Ain't no more soft
Tuesday night game. You lose that Tuesday
you lead, hey, if you
in Philly, if they lost a game on a
soft Tuesday, no one brought
it up. You lose a game on a
Tuesday now. You lead off all the show.
Real talk. And now the media is,
the media is going to say, is Tyrese
not good with LeBron James?
Are they having trouble?
But that's the narrative. But that's, but
I'm saying it's real.
But that's when he gets y'all the matching suits.
And then everything comes back.
I never like the matchy suits.
Were you on a team for the matching suits?
Were you on it?
No, I wouldn't.
You wore your time, Brown.
Don't do that, man.
I didn't have time.
I was traded, bro.
Oh, what?
That's what I'm saying.
Britain is telling you all this because I was one of the guys that after we won,
it was like I still had the mindset.
Like, bro, I'm just now getting back healthy.
I could now jump in 360 windmill again.
and you're asking me to suppress myself more?
I understand.
I'm like, I got to shrink my game more.
I'm like, nigger, in three years, I'm like, I don't even know if I could do all this
more.
Like, I got major surgery, so my ego crept in.
So it was like, we got our win.
Cool.
Once Brian was ready, like, ship him out of the air.
I was cool, cool.
Because it's like, bro, at this point, now I need to elevate as far as becoming a better
player.
Like, I'm never going to get these reps.
Yeah.
How am I going to get these reps?
if I have to stay like this the whole time.
And I'm saying, yeah, you can sacrifice and do all that.
But until people are in that position, you can't say everybody's just going to do that.
I'm not saying will or won't happen.
I'm just saying it's tough.
It takes time to adjust your mind to go from being the first, second option to some games being the ball.
He's going to tell you to the business part.
He's just thinking like, you're going to learn the media.
When media days show up and you're going to see everybody around Brian, you're going to learn that after the game.
When you walk in and you wait
and you wait time out
the realistic thing is this is my
This is a very
This is a very
You're going to last with the media anyway
You get up out the locker room real quick
This is a very nice his whole body
He got like the tin bags of ice
Yeah my boy got a wedge of cheese
That he's sitting on
When y'all waiting for him to start practice
Because he's coming from his penthouse in New York
Now he'll be late
No no he'll be late
Even in New York, ain't he?
Yeah, he'll be late.
There's talking about it there.
Ron is that early.
What I'm saying?
I'm saying late or whatever is a different that's obvious.
If you can't tell the difference, bro, like, you deserve to win shit.
Listen, no.
It's easy as hell.
But when you was 26, 27.
And Brian walked in a lot of home.
And then they basically start talking to you, be like, do y'all realize I just played against this,
nigga and was trying to, like, we were thin to beat him?
No, absolutely.
I diggy, bro.
I'm just saying, like, I don't know my feet.
not factoring in the reality of it.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, bro.
The egos of the guys that are there are already did,
like, M.B.'s knee has already mentally already did it for it.
The only person that's up there that has to worry about it will be Maxie.
Because he's never really took him.
Escombe, this is his first, this is his first rodeo.
He's too young.
DJ say something, bro.
He's not going to say nothing, bro.
Of course, he's going to fall in line.
But we're talking about on the court.
Max, can you throw him the ball and trust that he's,
He's going to give it to whoever.
Listen, Ben, listen, all, hey, he's going to average.
I've been on that team, bro.
He's an average 16.
I don't watch a nigga shooting.
You'd be like, what the fuck he's going?
No, he's going to average 60.
He's going to be the best option in the league.
He's going to be back going.
He's going to be up and down.
Like, this, he's no problem.
Jaylon Brown is no problem.
Maxie is the only one who is touching.
He's like, he's like, Kyrie right now.
He's like Kyrie.
Remember.
He's coming in as...
He's been the number one option in the last three years.
He's the only one that has to change.
When Vijay shoot that ball and brawn do this right here,
tell me what this means.
We start biting him there.
What that mean?
He's going to get that rock.
Hey, listen.
When he's supposed to get that rock and Vijay...
You're talking about a big of the option.
He started biting him damn.
Y'all caught up.
No, no, no, no.
Don't you dead do that.
Y'all are talking about a fifth option.
Y'all call him the fifth option?
Defensively, defensively, he helped.
He helps y'all out a whole lot.
Yes.
Athletically, he helps y'all out a whole lot
in the athletic league.
And I'm gonna make sure.
DJ Edgecombe ain't just replaceable shit.
No, he's not.
Who said he's replaceable?
Gil said he just said he fifth option.
Like what I'm gonna go.
You're gonna guard everything.
If that's my fifth option, niggas, y'all in trouble.
If my fifth option jumps over people,
and his average at 18, y'all are in trouble.
This is my fifth option.
Thank you, are you tripping.
That's what I've been talking about the panel.
My second option, say it again,
finals of MP, ease the conference.
My third option is a superhero.
That's my third option.
My second option.
My third option is a fucking MVP scoring title champ.
That's my second.
Come on.
Are you all tripping?
I get it.
I'm walking.
I've seen so many.
Knicks and five.
I've seen so many cute.
Nick!
You can't even lose five games.
What?
You can't even lose five games.
Nix.
What?
The Knicks is, the Knicks is, what?
Nix and what?
Nix and fast.
I can tell you right now.
I'm going to tell you how to guard the Knicks.
Nix and five.
Jalen Brown.
They already tried it.
No.
Jalen Brown, you remember, that's a new player, right?
Jalen Brown, pick him up full court.
Make him dribble.
Yeah, make him dribble.
That's not going to do anything.
Make him dribble.
We're going to jump him.
He didn't bring it up.
The whole time.
Josh Hart, VJ.
VJ.
Get him.
I got dogs now.
They got dogs.
Why did he burrs?
The difference.
Why did he burr?
I'm about to break down the difference.
I'm about to break down the difference.
Josh Hart.
Don't have it in him to say,
yo, let me get my game on.
He don't do that.
It don't matter.
It do matter.
Because at the end of the game,
when we're trying to figure out Maxie,
are you going to give it to Braun?
Maybe Jalen Brown got it going today.
Maybe this, maybe that.
You think New York doing that?
No.
It's Jaylon Brunson time.
Figure it out.
He'd have led the playoffs in scoring.
How many years in a row?
How many years in a row?
I think five.
About three.
No, no, no.
It's up there now.
But I know what his flaw is.
It's just like most scores flaw.
It could be the flaw.
No, he got the ring.
They can't dribble from 94 to a certain.
So we're going to pick them up.
Like, they didn't do it last year.
Pick them up.
Yes, give it, give it to Josh Hart.
Bring it up.
Bring it up.
Running it down, speed him up.
Getting the ball.
Go, we're going to jump on the finals.
He shot it.
Get the buck out of the way.
I got five.
I got four superstars.
I got four superstars.
That's what I'm talking about.
The last five minutes.
The last five minutes when that game slowed down in the playoffs.
It's different.
The Knicks.
exactly where the ball going to go.
The guy's been clutched the last three to five years in the playoffs.
And Philly going to be trying to figure it out while four guys are saying,
I should get the ball, I should get the ball, I should do it.
How you missed that?
How you missed that?
Why you missed that?
We should have got that.
I was wide open.
Brother, I'm sorry.
What you're sorry?
I'm sorry.
I get it.
I like it on paper, too.
It's exciting.
I got that.
I don't concede it.
Like, my.
My second option is the finals MVP.
I think it's nice.
And my third option is an MVP.
And you're thinking I'm worried about whatever the fuck you got over at the next?
Hey, what happened?
We ain't paid a light bill?
Because they have the other finals.
Oh, y'all treat those like that.
Y'all just shouldn't us out of that?
Give it a light bill.
Hey, wait, hold on.
We got the final.
That's Paulo letting you know he's got shit to do.
Oh, okay.
But listen here, guys, we almost got 30,000 people in the chat right now.
Shout out to the chat.
Shout out to the chat.
Shout out to the chat.
They're doing what I did last year.
What's that?
That 130 came.
Nope.
I'm done.
No, we're not done yet, Gil.
Everybody make sure you hit that like and subscribe button for us.
Hit that like button.
Let's try and get these numbers up.
We got one more segment left.
It's time to try and finesse some bread on Polly Market.
This is put that on something.
We're going to give you some trades on the Polly Market app,
and you've got to pick aside and put that on something.
So first off, we just talked about LeBron Sixers.
Very spirited discussion by LeBron taking his talents to the city of Brotherly Love
to form that big,
We will see who has to sacrifice and all that good stuff.
But let's take a look at the win projections for this season on the Polymarket app.
So Sixers were 45 and 37 last season.
Currently, Polymarketer has them at 51 wins with 78% of traders thinking they will reach that.
68% thinking they will fall below that number.
I'm going to ask you first, then I'm going to go around the couch.
Will the Sixers win at least 51 games this season?
Yes.
Easy.
Easy.
52?
Yes.
55.
Right around there.
Think about it.
All right.
Right around 55.
So over 51.
Yeah.
So you are going with the yes on that 51 game threshold.
Branden, let's shift over to you.
I go over 51.
So you think the 6th is going to win more than 51 games or at least 51 games.
At least 51 games for sure.
And not more.
And even more.
All right.
Shift to this side.
Former 6th, every turn.
Yeah, I like it.
Low 50s.
Anything above like 55, 50s.
I don't expect them to play that much.
You know what I mean?
I want to see them.
They're going to lock in the spot.
Yeah, and be particular.
Lock your spot in.
And call it that.
But 50, that sounds good to me.
I don't want to see them doing more than that.
So at least 51 wins.
51 wins.
So 51 or more, you're good.
Yeah, 60, you haven't played too much, bro.
Okay.
I'm putting my money on that.
All right.
So you put 51 wins.
You would do that on the Polymarket app.
Okay.
Shout out.
So let's move on.
We talked about the new look Lakers earlier in the show.
What to expect from this season with the team built around Luca?
We also have championship aspirations.
Good.
you are the purple and gold.
This is Los Angeles.
Banners.
Didn't even rock with Brown
when he brought the first in-season tournament banner.
I think neither here or the-
win, 82-0.
How about that?
Let's put that pressure over there.
82-0.
They're supposed to go to 80-2-0.
I don't think that's realistic.
No, I'm not.
He's doing that to the Lakers,
we're going to do it back.
82-0.
They got all them superstars over there.
Oh, that's your team, Philly.
Yeah.
He's a Bronn guy.
He's a team of Brown.
He's team of Bron.
Wherever LeBron go, he'll go.
If Brongo there?
Oh, you want to kneel.
I ain't know a heat fan.
A stellar lifestyle.
You remember that?
I'm on where he at?
Where he at?
That's crazy.
We got chocolate chip cookies for you guys after the show, courtesy of Brown.
But Lakers, Gil, let's take a look at their
what's trading right now on the British market on the Polymarket app.
Oh, boy.
So, Lakers went 53 and 29 last season.
Lebron, Syedica missed a bunch of games.
Luca, Austin Reeves.
Lazy, come playoff time.
Damn.
Fourth in the West.
Polymarket app has it met.
45 games.
So 70% of traders thinking they will reach that threshold.
65% of traders picking them to go below that number.
You know, the Lakers will win at least 45 games this season.
Think about you. You got Luca.
Oh, Luca.
We got him.
Oh, this is the Slovenia season.
Don't take the over, man.
Look his team now.
What do we need in the draft?
What?
Man, man, huh?
Relax.
Let me see if you have got picks.
What do we need in draft?
What do we need on this team?
What do we need on this team?
Forward.
Forward.
Yeah.
Some legit...
Number one option next year coming into the draft?
No, next year's draft will be kind of weak.
This draft kind of weak.
That's not going to be like the draft is happening.
We got...
We got slope to, right?
So Lakers should, they're pick falls in the top four.
I believe it goes to Memphis.
Top four?
I can't believe it.
Okay.
Anything beyond now.
All right, all right.
So, so...
I'm gonna take it over then, because we ain't got nothing.
We like, if they're going to go above it, something in the dragon.
Yeah, we like being number one, and then we get James worded.
We like shit like that.
So, the Lakers will win at least 45 games this season.
Is it 4.
45?
45.
She said, he was like, Luca, 30 pounds, 105 kilos.
Yeah, I'm going to be 45.
45.
All right.
45, I can do 45.
I'm taking it over.
What did you call Luke?
Child support Luca?
Child support Luca.
Child support Luca.
Going to carry him over the top.
Child support.
Oh, my God.
He is for to be empty and must see TV.
Listen, I think Luke is about to be must see TV.
I think he's going to be talking a little more shit, too.
Honestly, some of the shit that I had a problem with the leg,
I'm like, bro, y'all ain't going to have nobody to talk no shit.
Like, if Luka got to talk all the shit, but I think-
Child support.
I'm going to-about-that.
Child support.
Child support.
Child support.
Child support.
Evan, with the Lakers win at least 45 games this season.
I go with that, 45 for sure.
Do you think yes?
45-37?
Okay.
I like that.
It's Luca, right?
Right.
They ain't lesser.
They're in trouble.
You know, you know, you know, the lead.
They don't give us a favor of schedule.
At least them first 10, 15, guys.
That's all we need.
That's all you need at the beginning.
Shump, last one or not least.
Do you think the Lakers will win at least 45 games?
Yeah, they'll cover it.
Okay.
They'll cover that.
That's a yes on the prediction for the Lakers to win 45 games season.
Let's shift over to the Lakers' face of the franchise.
Gil Luka made six all-NBA first teams in his career,
finished top five in MVP voting four times.
But let's look at the Luka MVP prediction market on the Polly Market app.
Right now, Traders have Luca at 16% to win his first career MVP behind Wimby,
who's the current clear favorite at 32%.
And Shay Gildish-Alexander trying to get the three-peat 17%.
That's not going to happen.
Will Luca win his first MVP this season, yes or no?
You do got that Frenchie over there.
It's not gray blue.
Wee-wee.
I know.
It's tough.
I know.
I know what you're thinking about.
I mean, I will put them second.
I think that they're going to.
put Shea down so far.
Yeah, he got to make the vote.
They ain't giving them, his vote is done.
The only thing I'll say about Wemby.
Yeah, but he's going to be in the conversation.
It's going to be Wimby.
It's going to be Wemby.
Luca Yokic, like that.
It's going to be in there.
For the next four or five years,
until further notice, it's always going to.
You don't think A.E. going to be in there?
You don't think who going to be in there?
Nah, bro.
It won't mean it matter because Wimby's always going to have a defensive player
of the year next to his end.
Yes. So it's going to be tough because what's
dude doing three blocks a game.
He's getting better offensively too.
And then he's playing 30 minutes a game because that's just literally how they're,
they're working them.
Like, he's probably going to win 60 games a year.
Like, it's going to be tough.
Even with Luca averaging 37 a night, going on that run,
he would have to damn their finish top three.
And even then they don't like giving Luca.
Lucas should have been one of MVP.
MVP has always been the best combination.
Katie, he's finally going to have a point guard this year.
Who?
Van Fleet.
Katie?
Van Fleet.
Ben, Van Fleet.
Man, Val.
But it's just going to be.
That's a scoring point.
So we take it.
Yes or no.
Yes or no.
Yes to the trade or no to the trade.
I'm just saying KD's average.
He's going to win it?
Yeah.
I would go, I'd probably go no.
He shot at war.
I probably got it.
I think like I said to your point, I think because when he plays both ends,
he has the highest opportunity.
And I think the team wins are going to be there.
Same thing with Shea.
I think, you know, the scoring is going to be there.
The team wins are going to be there.
That's the key for Luca.
We don't know.
think the team wins might be there.
They should.
But we don't know if the team wins are going to be there.
I think the favorites got to be Shea and, um, and, um.
Yeah, Wemby.
Wembe,
and also in Yokish, too.
Yolkish in the past year.
I don't think Jalen Brunson is going to get talked about for it just coming off the
I think he'll be more in the consideration just because he's.
You know, you know how I go.
Once you, once you, once you unlock that box, then they start talking about you
different.
Yeah, no, for you got to be in this.
Great.
You need to be.
Jalen Brunson's superpower is fourth quarter in playoffs.
So for him to try to muster that much energy
in the regular season, 82 games, I don't know.
I'm just saying he's going to get looked at
for the conversation different.
I feel like the conversation will be a little different.
No, no, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, not.
He's going to finally get his talks about it.
Yeah, but you got to bring, like, them boys bringing.
34, 35, I mean.
Rebounds, 8, 9, and 6.
Like, Yokic, the past three years, his numbers have been crazy, and we just, like, never mind it.
Even when you look at Luca right now, and I'm talking about Wemby, they put in defense.
Every time Wembe is going to be around him, like, Luca don't score.
I'm at a play defense.
I'm at a point now where it's like, all right, fuck it.
He don't play defense.
Let's not factoring that in, and what's he doing on the other side of the floor.
No, no, it's just a truth.
He don't play.
That's not what he does.
Okay, every single year he don't play defense, but he'll put up 55 points for you.
What is he doing on his own?
When you look at like the RPI or whatever value of who he's playing with,
he's literally carrying people to the point where it's like, bro,
he shouldn't even be in a playoff.
But you know the voters can be influenced.
And the voters are people that don't even know who the voters.
They might not know, but they are the voters.
It depends on what they?
And listen, the voters can be influenced.
Because of a narrative.
And Bigfeller influenced them.
Because Wimby already came out there and said,
Wimby said, I think I should be that because of the defense.
And then he went out in the playoffs and showed it.
And what I'm saying is when you look, them voters are going to be like, you know what?
I respect that.
He's right.
And so now this year, that's what I'm saying.
That's what I'm saying.
To your point, I agree with you.
But I can see how they start rolling with that because Wemby said it, he stood on it,
went into the playoffs, proved it.
And now they're going to be like, yeah, a big fella is right.
We should take defense to account.
But Wemby was also the first person in wild where he's like, bro, I want to win MVP.
We didn't know this goofy shit telling me I'm not to face the league.
Yonby's talking about I don't care if I get MVP.
That's why he.
I don't care.
like, nah, doc, he's saying like, bro, I'm doing this.
I'm paying attention.
And the voters won't be watching.
Like, I'm the best out there.
And we're coming back to him like, yo, give him the MVP because everybody else acting like,
there we go.
There we go.
That's what I'm saying.
Voters can be influenced.
That's what I'm saying.
I agree with your thought on Luca.
But what you just said with him saying, I want to be MVP.
I want to be the face.
The defense should matter.
A lot of voters are going to factor that in this year just because Bigfellow said it.
And then he went out there improved it.
Yeah, but then it becomes criminal in a sense of like,
What we know...
What you don't know is almost plays devil's advocate to, like, the Kobe situation or even Kate.
It's like, bro, our best player in the lead probably ain't going to win MVP but once over a span of like 10, 15 years.
And in a Steve Nass situation, we're going to have two...
We know guys like Braun and Mike were supposed to have way more MVPs.
That's right up.
That's all I'm saying.
We know that.
But that's why Shade won't win.
He has a 0% chance.
Yeah, they can't do it because they never did.
It's like you said...
You know why?
Because they never did it for other people.
17% on the polymarket guild.
On the polymarket out.
Who holds three in a row?
Three what?
Larry Bird.
Larry Bird?
Yeah.
Larry Legend.
You said, who's...
Larry Legend, right?
Yeah.
That's David Stern's guy, right?
Yeah.
Anybody who gets two, you're not getting three.
I don't get for what your numbers is.
You're not taking that away from him.
Okay.
He's part of my golden era.
That's one of my children.
You're not taking that away.
And it also is sure.
You know what I mean?
That's real.
And that's why.
everybody's been screwed on their third one.
You're real.
That man right there, you're not getting that.
Put your ass down.
You got to.
You won't get this one.
You can get that shit.
That ain't through in the row.
After a while, like, you see four or five people that probably could.
Not saying four or five people.
But he's saying there's been people that we know.
All three.
Jordan should have had six in a row.
A braun should have had five in a row.
They're not going to do it.
Right?
And that's just it is.
It's just, I'm not.
James should have had a couple
on the row too.
Hardin?
You don't think you should have won MVP a couple years?
Harding.
Janus got screwed by Yokic.
Yolkish got screwed by Yolkich.
I think James got the MVP he was supposed to get.
Yeah.
But they gave it to Russia in the year.
They didn't give it shit to Rush.
Well, not give, but I'm saying.
They didn't give shit.
At one point, James was hooping crazy.
Why he didn't win?
I know.
He won enough.
That's what we all.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Like, not winning.
I'm saying he said, he said James couldn't have multiple.
I know why he won.
His power for it was 6-4.
What?
So what?
I'm 6-6.
I'm a point on.
I'm a small 4.
You picked that, though.
James had, I didn't pick that.
James sat in the meetings.
He said who we wanted.
He put together a team.
Everybody went to the Warriors and the cast.
Hey, it is what, it is what it is.
I'm not mad at the thing for it.
I'm just saying, if James would have won,
James would have multiple MVP.
I know, but what I'm saying is when we talk about
why they win and my whole starting five,
we look like an AAU squad.
Come on, John.
Like, I'm 6-4, 6-2, 6-3, 6-s-s-s-at.
Like, I'm out.
Y'all just said, they said, Brom, take whatever.
Bronn went to the, who would you say,
Boobie Gibson, El-Gausskis.
Eric Snow?
People was talking about his team.
He went.
I mean, it was, but oh, he went.
Finals.
Swaps.
And that's the problem.
What?
He got penalized.
Who?
LeBron got penalized for losing.
For losing?
For losing?
He lost.
He didn't get penalized for having a bad team.
You fucking lost.
That's it.
There's no, what team did you have?
Nicky, you got here.
The lights are bright.
Did you win?
You lost.
Go home.
You was cool with the team when y'all was taking pitches and doing everything.
Everybody loved the calves.
As soon as they lost, he don't have help.
When they beat you, they used to cut up.
Remember the air guitars?
But why it was going crazy?
They used to cut up.
Remember the pregame, the picture?
No, they used to cut up.
They was going nuts.
I live in Ohio and you can't, I mean, like, oh, girls this was dead.
They was going as hell.
Jabbar, we had your Mario Moon.
Hughes.
Clay's it?
Was it Clayson?
They was hooping, game.
I get that.
But on the wing.
I can't think of his name.
All I'm saying.
He was nice.
You can.
If you lose, yeah, we're going to start ripping y'all team up.
When we lost to the Warriors, yeah, they ripped us up.
All of a sudden, Imam wasn't even a championship player.
He shouldn't even been out there.
Delhi, they was like, why was Delhi even having the ball?
Deli almost had a same way.
Listen, they was talking about us as if we wasn't NBA players.
We were still in the championship.
So it's like, James doesn't get an excuse because now,
his power four was 6-4.
No, you're getting an excuse.
Yes.
Why do you didn't go get a 6-8 one?
Because they went to this.
I don't get to pick my team.
Because if I had to pick my team, I'd have did what LeBron did.
You remember when he picked this team and he won, you're like, oh, you can't do that.
So you can pick it.
Six-four-center.
Oh, shit.
Why you didn't pick it?
Because what I pick it and we win, you say the shit don't count.
Hold on.
Huh?
You said.
Why left?
Yes.
And joined the champion.
No, no, no, no, no.
That's what he did.
LeBron first did.
Hey, Bosch, come here.
Duane, come here.
Hey, boss, I got my two boys when to come in.
I'm not paying for that.
I just bought this team 400 million.
I'm not paying for them.
Right.
Oh.
Oh, okay.
Hey, Mickey.
Can you pay for all this?
Hell, y'all want to win.
You see the difference?
No.
You don't.
There's a difference only because there's one version where he doesn't want.
He doesn't want to beat D.W.
He wants to join him.
He didn't want to beat him.
I already beat him.
I've been playing everybody.
No, he won his first championship alongside D. Wade, sir.
He didn't win before that.
That's the problem.
Beat him in the championship.
That's the only time it counts.
Oh, in the championship.
Yes, the regular season is played.
Don't get me wrong.
It all erases at the end of the season.
all the niggas that didn't make the playoffs,
we don't care what you did.
We don't care.
We're glad you're healthy going into next season.
Get better.
We got these 16.
But that's the problem, though.
That's not a problem.
That's the rules of the game.
No, it's not.
You're going home.
We don't care.
Not that.
Like, let's pick a team.
Okay, Wimby.
Yes.
No one's saying it right now.
Wimby,
your legacy is already scratched.
You can never touch the mountain of Jordan.
Yeah.
Because they don't give you credit.
Because you lost all the time.
For being young and getting to the championship because you lost.
You lost.
Being inexperienced.
You lost.
So you, Jason Tatum, all you guys who lost in the championship being young boys, your dynasty is over.
You can only come second or third.
Because the man that has it up there, six and no.
And no game seven.
So you already get a scratch.
But that's the only cry.
when you have to deal with somebody
that has six championships.
None of these niggas have six championships.
We don't have to have this conversation
until Kobe, we was fin of had a conversation.
You need one more ring.
And then we're going to have this conversation.
Then it becomes, you lost this time in the finals.
He lost in the finals.
But you only have to do that when two things are the exact same.
Yeah, if we got two red cars,
same, make same everything.
Yeah.
Then it's going to come down to the exhaust that you added.
as opposed to the one I got.
So you're saying like they deserve like LeBron
and Wembe deserved more credit making it to the finals
at 22?
Michael Jordan.
I say Wimby has never been chasing Mike.
Wimby's a fucking big man.
If he want to go off Wilk Chamberlain's accolade, I get it.
But he's never going to match up with Mike and Kobe.
His stats are going to look different.
They're going to be weighted different.
He's not in that race.
You get what I'm saying?
I'm like, we only can do it if the cars are the same.
See, that's what I'm saying?
But that's always been the conversation.
say. Yeah, because I'm a big, now there's a rule.
If I'm a big man, I can't even be the greatest of all time.
I didn't say that. I'm just saying
you're going to be the greatest of all
time according to the opinion
of what? Because Mike is going to have
more points than Wemby.
You get what I'm saying? The guard
brings the ball up. He can literally choose
to not throw you the ball.
Yeah, I get it. I'm saying.
I wouldn't be mad if somebody
said, Wilts
better than this guy, even though
this, Luca's average in 50,
But Wilts better, I get the conversation because Luca has to decide to throw to you.
The point guard has to give to you.
I get that.
What I'm saying is there's no metrics of giving someone credit for making it somewhere they didn't supposed to make it.
Right?
You're a 21-year-old.
A Devin Bucker.
You're a 21-year-old.
You don't supposed to make it with a 10-year-old.
to the championship.
Like Spurs making it
to the championship
at the A.J.
Got hurt.
Or the son's
to say the way.
Hey,
AJ Mitchell got,
listen to know,
the reason he's not
getting credit is
because A.J.
Mitchell got hurt.
But I don't,
but what I'm saying
is it doesn't matter.
What I'm saying is
because he got there
and he lost,
no one says,
wait,
hold on.
Hold on.
You,
you get credit
for taking a team
that wasn't supposed
to be there,
there.
We don't do that.
No, we do,
first off,
we do getting credit.
We give you a spanking.
You didn't make it there.
you lost.
Whatever your record is, we're going to use it against you.
The same way we say Mike never lost in the finals.
Yes.
Mike went home his first seven seasons.
Nobody uses that.
We talk about it all the time.
No, you don't.
Don't say it.
Just because I love Mike, don't mean we went.
You might.
You might individually.
We was getting tired.
You might individually do it.
Mainstream media.
But you don't.
Everybody talk about Isaiah Thomas beat Mike.
Hold on.
No, they don't.
They talk about the bad.
If they talked about Isaiah's reputation would be a little bit different.
It would be better.
It would be better.
Because, bro, Isaiah's a year older than Mike.
What time out?
What's wrong with Isaiah Thomas' reputation?
It's not good.
It's not as high as the shit.
They just wasn't friends.
Bro, he spent Mike.
Who, I'm saying, who don't respect Isaiah Thomas?
Not as much as he should, bro.
He took it.
Bro, Isaiah beat Mike.
He won the top PGs all time.
With no first round picks.
He took Bill Lambert.
Like, I'm just saying, what Isaiah did to the Bulls with his team,
comrider and everything, they should have never even won any championship.
No, they, I don't know.
He's the first round.
He's the first guard, six three and under to be the lead guard, scoring guard to win a chip.
With Bill, man, there's only three of them.
Dumas won't know.
He's one of them.
I feel like y'all just saying it, like, he does some shit.
But Michael Jordan's legacy was what?
They tried to say he took out Larry.
Dumas had them plants on too.
They try to say you took out Magic.
Who took out Larry and Magic?
First.
Isaiah.
Oh, you're saying.
And then he kept speculation.
Shout out to MJ.
I ain't even trying to do no blast men shit.
But then he said like, hey, bro, I took you down there five or six.
Six years ago through me and my, my minion.
You're supposed to be the goat and I'm a year older than you in my city?
No, if he's, if everybody's hugging him for beating Larry and magic, then who is Isaiah Thomas, dog?
And six feet with lamb beer.
Hey, listen.
Like, am I wrong with saying?
No, no, no, no.
I don't let nobody do this respect to Isaiah.
But I'm not saying, he need more.
I'm not going for it.
Same way I don't go over D. Rose.
I work with Isaiah for like the last seven years.
Isaiah feel just like that.
You know what?
He feels, Isaiah feel just like that to his core, to his soul.
That's the difference.
He's telling his story.
That's why his championship weighs a little bit more.
But hold on.
But hold on.
You don't see so, bro.
His championship.
Isaiah had nobody.
His championship mean way more than a lot.
Talk to me.
Look, my championship, honestly, Isaiah, you can have my championship.
It don't hold no candle to yours.
All right, girl, final thoughts.
Talk to me.
Branca.
What's you looking up?
Bronca take his chair.
Where he's ranked in Bleacher Report.
Who gives a fuck?
He should be higher than what he is.
You know why it counts?
Why?
See, when people always say this don't count, well, that's the official list.
Yeah.
What list, though?
So we can say we don't give a fucking, you can just be in your heart.
No, no, no.
The only thing that matters, all NBA team, cool, that matters.
Why does that matter?
Because that's a direct reflection of how you can deal with a team as far as discussing a new contract.
Cool.
Bleacher Report is just a list.
But that list matters.
Yeah, for the girls.
is real. Our opinion.
Our opinion is our opinion.
A list that comes out and we're responding to it.
You put me right now, I'm ranked 15, but I think I'm 10.
Remember, I think I'm 10.
They raise me 15.
Gil, I could, we could on this show right now.
Start putting out a list every year.
We could do it.
No, we don't get a vote.
It's just like that.
It's a vote.
I'm sorry, but there's people who get paid to vote, meaning it's their actual job.
Even if we don't get a fuck.
You're saying, I'm just saying, the people will respect our list more than the
criminal.
The people will.
They're the consumer.
They don't know the consumer, the consumers whoever gets this list is the list.
Basketball fans are consumed.
But the list is the list.
The list is just getting put out by.
You know, you know.
Get in there, Joe.
If y'all want.
I see you trying to fight in here.
What I'm saying is, opinion, opinion comes.
Opinion comes because we don't like it.
He don't like it.
Real talk.
Opinion comes because we don't like it.
But Isaiah Thomas problem is exactly what's wrong with today.
Today, today, if they did it, what they do now to back then,
Isaiah would be wherever he is.
But the rules were different then.
Hey, Jordan, the team ain't ready to win.
So he's not going to get penalized for this.
When he was ready to win it had a championship team and the expectation to win, he never lost.
That's all that matter.
And that was the first time story.
And that's how that worked.
Yeah, game apart.
No, it's just facts.
Mike never lost in the finals.
It's a fact.
Yeah.
Isaiah Thomas kicked Mike ass all up and down the half in front of everybody in Chicago.
Every time it's a fact.
But it don't count.
It do count.
It counts, buddy.
How many medals does, um...
Five.
Stop.
Stop, dear.
Michael Phelps have.
A lot.
A lot.
18, 19, 2012.
No, no.
A lot.
A lot.
A lot.
A lot.
I don't know how many.
Twenty what?
21.
21.
21.
Let's just say 20 plus.
20 plus
20 plus
Let's say that
That's gold
Silvers
Nasty
And bronze
Right
Nasty
23 goals
Two silver's two
So 28
Damn
The silvers
Must have been
Like three silver
Say it one time
Two
Three silver
God damn
That boy
Got played
Every time I come
Right
Before
Before 98
Yeah
It used to be
Talked like that
The silver
In the bronze
I count the silver
I was good
I got to the championship
I lost to a better team.
But don't pretend that I didn't make the fucking playoff.
We're not going to pretend I lost in the first round.
You're going to give me my respect because I made it to the championship.
Yes, we respect.
Right?
You're not going to treat second place like we.
No, no, no.
You know what I mean?
So, in theory, the reason there's a low-
There's a reason, like there's a logo for a man who went there and only won once,
but he got there so many times.
He won.
So we're not going to, huh?
He won.
He lost way more than he won.
You see how you throw a wrinkle out there?
The fact is...
If somebody lose 11 times in the finals, you got that one don't count.
And listen, if Jericho...
They do!
But that's what they did!
I'm saying in general, bro, when you got there 11 times that matter.
You got one gold, 10 silver.
If Jerry...
That don't matter?
Hold on.
Yes.
If Shuck, yeah, okay.
We agree.
We agree.
Oh, no, no, no.
I'm just saying like, damn, after the fourth time, my niggie, you can't squeeze one in.
Paws.
What?
Wow.
That deserved the...
Brendan, what you got for us?
I'm not wrong for saying that.
I'm just saying if Jerry West had to play in today's media, I agree with Gil.
He would be talked about way differently.
He was murdered.
They would kill Jerry West in today's game.
Yeah.
They would kill him.
Today's media, they would kill him.
We'll see what they'll do with Luca this season.
Why do you keep bringing it back to Lukeca, man?
You're a leaker.
You're a leaguer.
Hey, I just want to segue.
Hey, when you, did y'all got some secret shit going on?
When he turned off the light, that means shut up?
I think so.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Did we give it away?
All right.
But that was put that on
That was put that on something
Hey man Joe, listen, listen listen
Listen, listen
I'm sorry, we we baked a lot of time last year
I know good you're trying to get it all back
You're trying to get it all back
You're trying to get it all back
