Starting point is 00:00:26 Welcome back to Gills Arena, presented by Underdog. Glorious Thursday here in the arena. Got a full couch. Already started. What's up, Gil? See you rocking your wizards gear. Y'all together. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:46 I thought you said we couldn't wear certain shit, like certain teams. Yeah, that's a team. I know you said one of them, but should have fire. But you can't go to the whole, like, the shoes, the wizard's shoes. Look like an American flag. It looked like you were ready there. Proud to be an American. All right.
Starting point is 00:01:09 You can't wear that teal blue out there. But this is good. You're good. This is a good color. That's when they were good. Huh? That's when they were good. No, they wasn't good.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Yeah, because you know, they wasn't good in this color. Oh, you did that for Kwame. I'm making this color look good. The team, when they wore this wasn't good. We was good when we was teal. or that black and gold so you should have wore that one yeah huh see because i was wearing the buck stuff when they're good like they were they were winning champions like that bucks logo yeah that that that that yeah that just well listen i don't know what the wizards did that you brother
Starting point is 00:01:46 you know what they did you know i don't know what they did to you because the oldest wizard hate out here man it's crazy with you i'm still thinking about you had 18 you average 18 how long you should be mad at your agent not the wizards they They let you do you. Your agent keeps you in the back inside a follow. That's him. Ooh. That wasn't the wizard.
Starting point is 00:02:09 That's why I don't fuck with him. He played for the Denver. The Denver did that. Follow was on the Denver team with him. I wanted to be like Aaron to follow. Did he start for y'all? Yeah. Damn.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Let me get it. George used to fuck with him though. But he was consistent, right? What? A follow? Yeah, because he didn't drink. He didn't drink, he didn't do it. He didn't do it.
Starting point is 00:02:28 He didn't do it. He went out with us one time and we told him couldn't do it no more. Yeah, so he was good, he was straight square. So he had a bad game. So he was, stay back, young. I said, can't handle his life. Go to chat. For real, that was.
Starting point is 00:02:41 He was a professional. Yeah. Okay. So he got paid for being a professional without his numbers. But this is Gil's Arena presented by a hundred-door. Woo-whoop. We're merely a host, Josiah Johnson. As always, we got the NBA.
Starting point is 00:02:54 So he didn't have no Hennessy problem, right? No, no. He ain't have his little flack on. No. Okay. As always, we got the NBA and NBA 2K legend Gilbert Arenas. He wasn't coming to the game like this, huh? Not saying that was you, but I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Next to Gil, we got NBA champion of the world. Swaggy P. Nick Young. Bringing his championship experience to the arena. We got the same. Next to Swaggy. I represent tough crowd. Card carrying country club member. Mr. B. Brandon Jennings, Compton Country Club in the building.
Starting point is 00:03:27 They got Country Club in Compton? Yep. Okay. Shout out. Shout out to Compton. And on this side of the couch, we got the distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff, former number one pick, Kenya Martin, back here with us. And last but not least, the man they call corporate Cemetery Larry, NCAA championer. We're over Shah McCants.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Food it and booted. Got the crown. Back ready to go. Missed you? No, y'all don't. Fucking miss me. You don't think it's on cheer for me like I'm a part of the team no more. God damn it.
Starting point is 00:04:09 You are going to be okay. We're going to cook anyway. God damn it. Let's get to cooking. So we got a lot to discuss. But here's what's cracking in Gil's Arena today. The Thunder are off to the best start in franchise history and Jalen Williams ain't even played a game yet.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Does OKC have a legit shot at the single season wins record? Chef Curry cooked up another vintage performance to help the Warriors snap their sixth game road losing streak. What message are the Dubbs' old heads sending to the YNs? And there were a record 135 international players on NBA rosters to start this season. Will this be the first time we see an all foreign, all NBA first team squad? But before we get in all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog. New to Underdog, Use Code Gill and get $100.

Starting point is 00:05:18 So we're going to start this show in the West. We're going to state is looking to avoid going into crisis mode. Early in this season, Warriors got smacked by the Thunder in OKC Tuesday night to fall to six and six and six straight road loss. After that game, Jermon Green and Jimmy Butler had some pointed comments about some of the issues the team is facing. Let's take a listen. Let's think that the fight's not always there. You know, they're not making shots. Give us an out to not guard, whatever, why, whatever reason that may be.
Starting point is 00:05:50 We've got a fight no matter what. I think most of that fighting I'm talking about it on the team and that can stop and just not playing hard because it's not everyone whatever it takes away. I think everyone has a personal agenda
Starting point is 00:06:02 in this league but you have to make those personal agenda work in the team confines. And if it doesn't work, then you kind of got to get rid of your agenda. Or or
Starting point is 00:06:17 eventually Essentially, the agenda is the cause of someone getting rid of you. So according to reports, Green and Butler's comments may have been directed at both Jonathan de Kamingia and Brandon Pajimski. Warriors responded by moving Kamingia to the bench for the game against the Spurs Wednesday night. I know it's hard out here, Swaggy, with your former team where you won your championship. So after starting him for the first 12 games this season, they opted to go with Ricky Will Richard and Moses Moody in the small ball lineup with Draymond Green at center.
Starting point is 00:06:49 They got back on the right track, though, thanks to a vintage. Steph Curry performance in his second game back after missing the previous three with an illness. Let's take a look at the highlights if we can, please. So, Chef Curry cooked the spurs to the tune of 46 points, five rebounds, and five assists, 12 or 25 from the field, 15 to 16 from the line, scored 29 of those 46 points in the second half. Steph's 73rd career 40-point game, 12 since turning 35, which is tied with MJ for the second most all time. Jimmy Butler added 28 points on 7 to 12 shooting, along with 8 assists. and six rebounds, and Moody had 19.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Kaminga did not score in his 12 minutes off the bench, and Will Richard had three points in 22 minutes as the starter. So Wimby and Stefan Kastel both messed around and dropped triple doubles in the game. The alien had 31 points, 15 boards, and 10 assists, but also had eight turnovers. While Kastel had 23, 10, and 10. They both needed the final moments of the game to accomplish defeat, but Kassel grabbing his 10th rebound with five seconds remaining. Wimby getting his 10th assist on a full court heave in the final play of the game.
Starting point is 00:07:51 game. Wimmy and Castle fifth doing NBA history with 20 point triple doubles in the same game. First duo to do so in a loss. So Warriors were down by as much as 16 in the first half, but Curry put the team on its back in the second half. Dubs outscored the Spurs by 12 in the final two quarters. Warriors gave the spurs their first home loss of the season. As we can see right here, and here's Wimby.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Getting his triple double with the assistant castle. two seconds remaining on the clock. Game already decided at that point. We did it. Worries gave the Spurs their first home loss of the season while snap in their six-game road losing streak. But let's take a look at Steph and what he was able to do in that game. So you look at most 40-point games on 70% true shooting percentage NBA history.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Steph has 67 of those games, most in NBA history, getting buckets. So after the game, Steph had this to say about the current state of the Warriors. We're not going to sit in a situation and just think that things are going to change on their own. Whether that's line-up changes, whether that's how we're approaching the game, whether it's energy, whatever it is. And we've been around the block long enough and we have enough experience to know that we can address stuff and not make it personal. It's everybody taking accountability and ownership. And keeping it real, we're probably got to do it three, four more talents down the rest of the season. Just the way basketball is at this level, we need to have expectations.
Starting point is 00:09:28 On a scale of like one to ten, a time, the ultimate crisis, you guys, four, okay. Just wondering how low, that might be a little higher than I thought we were going to go. Was it four? Yeah. Sounded four. Scale of one to ten in terms of crisis, Steph said a four. But Mr. B., how important was Steph having a vintage performance, like this to get the Warriors back on track?
Starting point is 00:09:52 I mean, not just for him, just for the Warriors, just in general. They've been struggling. I don't know what Steve Kerr's on, you know, playing with the lineup, playing with Kaminga and things like that. But I mean, you know, if Steph got to go for 46 every night, things like that, it's going to be a long year for them. You know, Jimmy Butler is their number two. He's averaging 19.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Should be averaging more. I think that could take some weight off Steph's plate. And then the other guys, they got to show up and start, you know, balling. you know, balling. But they got to figure out what they're going to do with Camiga and Steve Curry because it's just all over the place. Let's shift to this side of the couch. Corporate Cemetery, Larry, you said previously, Kamiga needs to get out of that burning building. Obviously, Warriors made the playoffs last season. They gave them the extension after a heated summer negotiations. But what does it mean for Steph Curry to have a venture performance like this to help the Warriors get back on the right track? It means that they're probably as cooked as I thought they were.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Steph haven't really had a game like this in a while. He's been shooting bad from the field, trying to figure out identity for the team. Probably the two guys that's actually out there really playing there is Kamenka and Pajinsky, playing hard trying to make things happen. And I think for them to put everything on Kaminga is just crazy. It's a crazy scapegoat. It's a crazy scapegoat because he didn't ask for none of this. He just won a hoop.
Starting point is 00:11:19 And you got guys presumably pointing a finger as somebody who just want to go out there and prove himself. And it's just nasty work. You know, Jimmy, before this season talked about all the noise, all the chaos paid off in a major way. I'm lucky to be part of a phenomenal organization, everywhere starts off great, but then, you know, someone has to be the bad guy and it gets to be me. I'm always the one doing something unbearable all of a sudden, but that's okay. I get to play in a wonderful league and this with some amazing teammates, but being here, they've only got one goal to keep hanging those things on the wall. Ain't no hit in the gym. He did say that. It sounds like he's hiding some shit right now. Sounds like he got there and all of a sudden everybody's having this. What are we doing?
Starting point is 00:12:25 We ain't playing defense. I don't want to hear none of that shit. Because you left from being a star player to go to play Robin. Now shit is all flustered and fucked up. And this nigga got to go score 46 to go prove that the team can win. That's weak. I don't need everybody to figure out who's going to take the blame, man. Be accountable.
Starting point is 00:12:46 The leaders are the leaders. John is the Kameenka and Przinski are not the leaders. Why the hell y'all pointing the fingers at them? If that's what they're doing. I don't know if that's what they're doing, but it just looked nasty. So Steph may not necessarily be the vocal leader of this warrior squad, but he is the top dog. But Kenyon Steph, 11 points in that 24-point loss of the Thunder on Tuesday. Comes back Wednesday, 46 piece.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Here's all the noise. Dre and Jimmy saying what they have to say, but makes that statement with the 46 piece to give the Spurs the first home loss of the season. What did a vintage performance like that from Steph mean for this Warrior Squad based on what they're dealing with right now? What are they dealing with?
Starting point is 00:13:26 Besides not being good enough. And besides Steve Kerr in the organization playing with this boy, Jonathan Kamiga's career. Like, what are they dealing with? This is the team they want it. This is what they signed up for. They had an off-season to go give. They went and got an old-ass Al Horford.
Starting point is 00:13:44 So play the people who want to go out there and who's trying to prove themselves. Like you said, like I don't get it. Like, why bring the kid back to do this to him again? Like, this is this. Like, where is the players association at? Like, dead ass, man. Like, where are they at? Do we have one?
Starting point is 00:14:04 Like, where they are? They're playing. They won't. See, that's the crazy. And that's the crazy work. You shouldn't be active players ahead of the players or you're like, no, you need
Starting point is 00:14:13 like. For real, for real. But, yeah, like, where are they at in this situation? Like, why ain't nobody saying, and why ain't nobody, like, that's nasty work and they keep allowing to do this to this kid, man? Like, that's, and but to everybody's point,
Starting point is 00:14:29 if Steph has to play like this for them to get wins, night in night out in this league, good luck. It's going to be a long year. Right? Long season. So,
Starting point is 00:14:39 Yeah, it's unsettling what they're doing to this kid, man. All he wanted to do is play basketball and, like Rasha said, prove himself. Like that's what you're in this league for, to prove yourself to, we need points, we're having a problem scoring. I'm aggressive. Where is that a bad, where that's supposed to meet? Mm-hmm. Like, that's where the rubber meets the role, right?
Starting point is 00:15:05 You need points. Got an aggressive ball player. Let's help him. And another note, like, Jimmy, you can't be criticizing people and talking shit to people with your fucking do-rag on looking like that. It's looking like somebody's fucking auntie on the porch, smoking fucking cigarettes and drinking malt liquor. Like...
Starting point is 00:15:23 Precious? Is that what you're going to be any precious? Yeah, yeah. I was like, that looks like. Yeah, exactly. I'm not taking you serious if I'm done. If I'm Jonathan Kamiga, no, I'm not taking you. If you are directing that at me, if I'm John the Kamigga,
Starting point is 00:15:35 I'm not taking you serious. Like, how can I take you look over there and you're trying, you be, like, dude, really? Yeah, it's like I went to this restaurant in Dallas, right? Dude, I had a hat. I'm going in, a dude at the door told him I couldn't wear my baseball cap. I'm like, all right, cool, I ain't got no problem. That's the rules in the restaurant, cool, this thing, and the third. I go in, sit at the bar.
Starting point is 00:16:00 I ask who the manager? Like, the people coming in, they like, can't you tomorrow, man, good to see you. Like, you're home for the week. Like, yeah, I'm like, yo, who in charge? He come over there. I'm like, yeah, man, thanks for having me in your stabbing. I'm like, I'm like, so there's no hats in the restaurant. He's like, yeah, cool.
Starting point is 00:16:15 I'm like, well, the dude at the door in the du rag can't be the one to tell me I can't fucking wear my hat. Not like, it's the wrong message. Like, Jimmy, you can't have it. I'm not just not going to take you serious, bro. From him. Like, just, dude, but the du rag can't tell you. Yeah, the dude at the door in the du rag.
Starting point is 00:16:37 And all he could do is. He's laugh, right? He's like, yeah, you know what? You got a point. Right. But let's get over this side, guilt. Step coming through 46 piece, get the win. Stop saying vintage.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Step, right? He's regular? Yeah, that's what he does. Okay. Yeah, vintage means we ain't seen, we ain't seen us in a while, and he brings out one of those type of games. That's vintage. If he did this game, one, two, he had 42
Starting point is 00:17:05 and better shoot a percentage game two. game two so this is not a vintage this is just game to i just got back off of injury i had 11 points a first game and then boom what's happening i'm back right so you're you're talking about a team who they're six and six step curry seven and six right seven and six curries missed a cute a couple games right they took some ails um they start off the season four and two everybody's talking so it's just one of those things right it's you're trying to pretend that they're that good when step is not playing or step is not bawling right and that's the problem when y'all started the season four and two yeah this is what we this what we're talking about and then step missed a couple
Starting point is 00:17:48 games y'all start losing then now it's seven and six and you're like yeah we need to make some changes around here who for who you subbed in somebody how he do what do you have a whole two they had a whole two three three points in the game oh he had a whole three most smoothie though So he had three, and then the guy you saw that house had zero. So between the two of them, one and a half. So your decision, so one averages, what, 15? Whatever he averaged, this is what they was averaging playing in a position. Richard averaging 10.
Starting point is 00:18:21 So 25 from these two, starter bench. Switching her! 3,0. My man. Great coach. That sounds, I know you got to win, but that sounds great. I had a question before you start, like, so who has the most 40-point games
Starting point is 00:18:38 under 70% truth-shoots? Like, I fucking hate that, listen, that fucking true-chew, like, where at the most 40-point game? At high efficiency, though, Ken. What does that mean? What does it mean? What does the percentage have,
Starting point is 00:18:50 what type of percentage? So give me who I had the most. You should have said at the age of, at the age over 30. No, no, what I'm saying is, do you have that 12, 12, 40-point games, 35 rows of that second most often? So what's true versus read?
Starting point is 00:19:03 I think 43 at 30-year-older, which is second to MJ. Okay, what is the percentage that you have to make averaging the score of 40? Does it have to be 60% of your shots, 55% of your shots? Well, Gil, the score 40 can be any percentage of your shot. So why is the true percentage matters then? Because he's showing that he can do it at a very efficient rate. So what is that rate for it to be four? Like, because we know he's not 40.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Yeah, what is the percentage? You have to be shooting at a certain percentage. There's no, there's benchmarks, Bill, right? What is the percentage of the benchmark for it to be in this category? Yeah, I won't. There has to be a bench. 70%. So you, so in that game, you had to shoot, so he didn't shoot 70% in that.
Starting point is 00:19:47 True shooting. True shooting. The square mathematical shit. It's true shooting. So what is that? It's true. So what is it? Your field goes, your three-pointers, your free-throw percentage.
Starting point is 00:19:57 Yep. Get it off, Joe. Get it off. I don't get it off. I came up with the staff. What's that? It's impressive. Tell them, Joe.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Okay, so it again? We just talked on the show yesterday about Joker. No, I'm saying. Doing what he's doing? What is the shooting? Like, how, what is the... All right. Yeah, what was that?
Starting point is 00:20:16 Where were you last week? You're... Joe. I know. I know. Thank you. Go ahead, though. I'll let you cook.
Starting point is 00:20:25 I just want to help you. It's a basketball statistic that measures a player shooting or scoring efficiency by incorporating field goals three-points and free throws into a single metric. In one game? In the game itself. It could be in a game, a season.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Okay, so you combine them. So basically you combine the field goal percentage plus the free throw percentage plus the three-point percentage, and then... You get the 30 because he shot. He missed one free throw. He was like five for 16 from three, though.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Five for 16. 13 for 25. And then the free throws make it back up. 16 and his 25 shots were threes. So. Damn. Is he? Like, consider if you shoot over 60% true shooting is elite.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Okay. All right. But if you shoot 40%, you should... And those 40%... No, but if you shoot 40% from the field, but you make all your free throws, it gets you back up. Yeah. Uh-oh. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:21:23 Okay. So if I'm horrible at this point, shooting what a nigger playing defense, on me. And then I make all my free throws where there's no defense. It heightens my true shoot position. Like, I'm out there motherfucking killing. Yeah. Yeah. Kay Cunningham just had how many miss shots? Yeah, 45. 31 missed shots. Did we talk about the miss shots or the 46? Yeah, I talked about the miss shot. Right. So if he hits 17 for 17 from the free throw line, his true percentage. Yeah, I guess. up he races the whatever shot y'all thought he missed the 31 miss right if he wins the game
Starting point is 00:22:07 46 and he missed I mean what but go to your point if I'm able to get to the free line that means I exploited the defense yeah create more scoring opportunity I need shot the ball 31 you love 31 you left I don't know what I was saying is you're saying this is you're you're using it as a metrics yeah determine how great someone ability is to score no just a but but the fact that there's a there's a part on it where there's no defense at all. I can shoot technicals. There's no pressure on this shot,
Starting point is 00:22:37 and it's still added to it. And it counts. It counts. Like, it's crazy. So then that stat for Steph is not impressive. But generally, to get to the free throw line, besides text, what are you doing to get to the free throw? But I'm shooting this shot with no defense,
Starting point is 00:22:51 and it's called true shooting percentage. Right? But free throws points, right? Regardless. Regardless, right? You got to make them. How do you get to the free throw line? Got to make them.
Starting point is 00:23:01 the frithos, you know better, you know best at that. I'm over, I'm 0 for five from the three point line. Oh, for five from the field goal, right? I haven't, I haven't made no motherfucking shot in the game that has to do with shooting. James R. Go to the frito line. I'm 20 for 20.
Starting point is 00:23:20 James R. And I'm the best shooter out here. You see how that looks weird? You see how they look weird? O' from field, 0 for 3, 100% for the frito line. I'm out here. Like, what's 20 for 20 for the freestyle line is. That's oppressive.
Starting point is 00:23:37 17, 8. All that you're talking about just to play devil avenue here. So Gil say, say you 0 for 5 from the field. You 0 for 5 from 3, you go 20 for 20 from the free throw line. Somebody asked you how much you had in the game. What do you go say? 20 points. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:50 But I was over 5 though. No, my true person, my true shooting percentage is, oh. You're not going to lead with that. We all know you're not going to say my true percentage was. No, no, you do. You know, see I had 20. Yeah. There ain't nobody go ask you,
Starting point is 00:24:03 because ain't nobody going to leave the conversation with, yo, what was your shoe 200% in this last? Right. There ain't nobody going to leave the conversation with that shit. So it's like, hey. Hey. But that is a stat to make stuff, that's a stat to make sense.
Starting point is 00:24:15 How many of your head last night? All they go ask you is, how many of your head last night? Making 20 straight free thills is impressive, well. In case the clutch checks dry up, I'm trying to get the unanimous check. You never paid $20 in a week? Can I give praise and stuff? In the game?
Starting point is 00:24:29 Yes. Brother, you know who owns the free throw percentage, the free throw, like, Guinness Books a record? Who? Probably an old nigga that just... I almost had it. Oh, some old, some old man that's 77 years, 80 years old, that sit there and shoot like this, owns a goddamn record for it.
Starting point is 00:24:46 I'm pretty sure. You put some defense out there and they can't score on you. What's the most you made in the row? Freethos. Like, I think, I think Steph has the highest career free throw percentage in anybody. No, I'm just talking about just, Guinness Book of Records. Okay. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:00 There's probably an old man out there with, like, straight. To your point, I was a real basketball player. Right, so I don't know how many free throws I took. You know what I mean? Well, I thought you used to like you. No, no, no, no. I have this right. I have this 29 in the game.
Starting point is 00:25:12 The one thing I didn't pay attention to do is how many fleethos I made in a row. Right? How many buckets I got in the row? You talk about how many threes I made in a row? How many crossovers game winners? No. No, I mean, it was just part of the game. But to your point, I did see Anthony Miracola.
Starting point is 00:25:27 How many you got? What was everybody else? I'm pretty sure you know. Yeah, I'm pretty sure, you know, because you didn't average 29, so you kept up with shit like that. Give me bowling, it's all right. Okay? Just making sure. To your point about free throw, that's how Anthony Miracola come to the first ever Gills Arena shootout to make more threes than yourself.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Yeah. That's not hard, that's not hard, though. Shoot that nigga Joe? That's not hard. I did too. I did, too. The Gilbrick T-shirts. I said, he beat the whole couch, right?
Starting point is 00:25:58 Yeah, we all did. You just proved You just proved the point Chill out You all got clasped us and since you at the Guinness was a record for consecutive made free throws My football line Over 12 hours by podiagris Tom Amberry in 1993
Starting point is 00:26:22 So a guy in 1993 made 2,000 He was 71 years old when he did His true shooting person I know that because I was a kid when I seen it So that's why I know, but that true shooting, his true shoot percentage, he can miss the next shots of the rest of his life, and he has the highest true shooting percentage that ever lived. You guys, avoidance of analytics and any stats, I fucking hate it. Because it makes someone sound smarter than they are because they didn't play the game. They didn't play the game on basketball so they use these little things to try to make it sound like they good. When you add up the shooting percentages, it's not like, like, you look better.
Starting point is 00:26:58 It's not like It's not Einstein shit Add the shit up and say This is the percentage Based on all three together You separate them Hey Mark Price Steph Curry such as such
Starting point is 00:27:12 Free throws Reggie Miller Ray Allen Steph Curry three pointers Shack Dwight White Hop Field goal Those are all separate Add them together
Starting point is 00:27:20 Them niggas is not in the top Not at all But Steph Curry is Because he He shoots great what he's What is it? 50, 40, 90? 50, 40, 90.
Starting point is 00:27:31 KD would be in there. Yeah. 50, 40, 90. True shooting? That's what the metric is. It's just creating another category. Malcolm Brogden. Yeah, for guys that could shoot high percentages.
Starting point is 00:27:43 But then you talk about four. But he got to have 40. Yeah, you're scoring 40. Yeah, you're scoring 40. That's different. He average 13. I know, but he went to the all start game. I don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 00:27:55 We already had this conversation on this couch. We're not going to revisit this shit. Because the truth shooting, he was shooting, but... No, his team was winning. And I was incorrect. The actual record is 5,221 shot free throw. By that same dude? No, by a dude named Ted St. Martin, I have no idea who is.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Ooh, that's... I like that name. But let's get back to the Warriors. Let's shift back to the Warriors in the current situation going on right now with Golden State. So Warriors O'Guard had some strong words after their blowout loss of the Thunder. We played the clip of Jimmy and Dremont calling out members of the squad, which made he think to be Cominga and Pots. After the Thunder lost, Draymond also talked about
Starting point is 00:28:28 the biggest difference from the warriors at the end of last season when they went 23 and 8 after the Jimmy Butler trade. And now, and he said, I think everybody was committed to winning and doing that any way possible. And right now, it doesn't feel that way. I heard nothing do it, Camiga, then. Okay, but according to the report, let me get going. Let me get going.
Starting point is 00:28:46 According to the report, Pod saying he wanted to be better than Steph and carried the torture in the future, had some players on the team rolling their eyes. And like I mentioned, Steve Kerr said, Kaminga was going to be a start of this season. Kaminga started the first 12 games. now back in the doghouse against the Spurs. He didn't say how long.
Starting point is 00:29:02 He didn't say how long. He said he was gonna be a starter. He didn't say how long. Yeah, that's... Wait, who said they're gonna take the torch from... What's positive been saying some stuff coming in this season? You know, young fella... Brandon Projewski said, I want to be better than Steph Kerr to ask him what his goals were.
Starting point is 00:29:17 I think that's a fair goal to have, not to say, I'm going to be. I want to be. I want to be. I want to carry that torch. Her love, man. It's shocking. My scene is like the star players, from Jimmy to Draymond
Starting point is 00:29:31 just sending shots that young fella because they get the respect already and nobody going to hold them accountable and they could just throw shots that the guys that ain't got the respect yet don't you know they get played with playing time
Starting point is 00:29:49 it's easy escape goal where Jimmy should be 1A right now it should be averaging 25 or doing whatever it takes to win. But it's games where he has 12, 10, don't look interested. Fucking Draymond sometimes.
Starting point is 00:30:07 I ask my daughter don't get five rebounds in the game, man, he's the center. You're putting everything on, right now, a corner dude right now. Is that not true? Don't put it on the group? That's just, you know, we all been through that. It's like when I was, playing. He was like down 10 already. They subbed me in the game. We go down 20, but I get blamed for it by somebody. I don't play three or four games in a row because I got yelled at from anybody.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Is that somebody in the room right now? Yeah. Okay. I did feel bad for it, but I didn't. Yeah, it was the Celtics and they just had the big three brand new. They already getting their ass with. Getting spanked. Spanked. Looking bad, they sell them in, they go down a little bit more. It's our fault. I'm going to take accountability. I'm going to say, yeah, yeah, my bad, y'all.
Starting point is 00:31:09 You did say, like, a couple days after. Yeah, a couple days after, because I fell back because y'all never got in the game anymore for the next three games. Is Draymond Green? Is Draymond Green the Hall of Famer? Yeah, first ballot. All right, first ballot. First ballot.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Do we have expectations for his performances? No? No. No? No. Okay. So it's okay for him to play 30 minutes, get eight points, five rebounds, five and six. I'm out.
Starting point is 00:31:34 One for 10 from the field, O for seven from three. Then it's okay. And then it's okay for him to blame other guys for not showing up. Not a high true shooting percentage. Well, Jemont does show up. I mean, he plays. So he does show up. Yeah, eight, five and five and fouled out.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Eight five and five is enough for us to win every night. Was plus 15 in the game led the team to don't know if I care about that. I'm asking questions, bro. I'm not. I'm just giving you the answer. We're saying yes. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:03 So I don't think those other guys feel the same way. Oh, not comedian Pajinsky. I don't think they feel the same way. I don't think you can point the finger at me and have one double digit game under your bill and one double digit rebound under your bill in 12 games. And you're the center. So what is it that you're pointing the finger at me for? Because we all play hard.
Starting point is 00:32:23 We all play hard. That's where I'm feeling. We all play hard. You got one game 17, one game 10 rebound, everything else is under, you're underperforming as a Hall of Fame. Yeah, it's almost 14 and 7. Six, five, and four with four turnovers again. 14 and 7.
Starting point is 00:32:37 I mean, if I'm comming it, then say something. How can he? I mean, he's in the dog house already. Right, right, right, right. Right. So since I'm in the dog house, y'all don't want me here. I'm going to go ahead and say how I feel that. They're going to send them to the kennel, bro.
Starting point is 00:32:49 They're going to send them to the fucking gas me. I'm in the doghouse. I never even did anything. I think, I never did nothing anyway. It's not his personality. But what I'm saying, I never did nothing anyway. You put me in the doghouse. I ain't doing that.
Starting point is 00:33:00 And now you talk about me? Yeah, well, fuck you. I'm going to say what I got to say. Whatever then, don't play me. He ain't been sorry. You don't like me anyway. Y'all assuming that it's about Kaminga. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:09 No, no, I'm just saying that that's the mentality. What he's saying is, what he's saying is. That's what he's saying is. If you don't fuck. He's looking at what, Jem on average, you know, I'm playing where I'm playing right now. That's like getting blow by. You're getting blown by in the game, and you come to the bench and be like, y'all help.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Nigger, stay in front of your fucking man, bro. He's blowing by your ass every time you come to the bitch. I'm going to help me. Nicarious, shut up. No, I'm talking about we need to play some defense. We need to play some defense. It's that one. It's that one.
Starting point is 00:33:40 It's that one that hell that to blow my mind, eh. We need to play some defense. So this is Drake my fault? No, I'm not, no. No, no. He's just, no. If he's the one coming pointing fingers, he's saying all that. So his question was, do we, what are the expectations, right?
Starting point is 00:33:55 I know, but he said, he said, he said, he said, he said, he said, he said, he said, he said, he said, so are you saying, because of Draymond's performance, that's why they were there at? No, no, no, he's saying. Partially?
Starting point is 00:34:06 If you're the leader of Hall of Famer, what is you? Thursday, what option are you? He can't ever been an offensive option. All right, so sit his ass on the bench and let somebody else come do something else. He do too much. He did many other things.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Quit post. He do too much. Let somebody else. I think. I think the mistake was Al Horford. You got rid of Clay Thompson for Fijinsky. And then now you got Fizinski on the bench. I think what is Eve Kerr?
Starting point is 00:34:30 You love Fisinski. I'm bowling. So now you got young fellow over the Quimpo. Now you got to play Kaminga, right? So now you don't have that out for Al Horsford. Like I just think bringing Al Horsford in was, it's. Yeah, you don't have a team for Al. But to what his point is, right, what I think he's, is if I'm Kaminga, right,
Starting point is 00:34:51 I went through all that shit last year, the year before that, all this shit over the summer, not getting signed, don't know what's going to happen, right? Getting bent, start, getting bent, all this roller coaster of emotions and shit with dealing with Steve Kurt, right? And I'm looking at my skill set. And I think I'm fucking, like,
Starting point is 00:35:11 I know what Draymond does for our team, but I'm looking at what I do like, shit, I can do that. Like, you give me that opportunity that they give him without fucking, That's he's thinking that You know what I'm saying It's hard not to When he's only
Starting point is 00:35:26 Like when you're looking at the stat sheet This motherfucker got Like oh man really Man this is what y'all And he's thinking oh this motherfucker Y'all don't want to play Yeah But he can't come out to say that
Starting point is 00:35:36 That's y'all I know we want him to That's your problem right there That's your problem I just I just seen the interview Of my coach And Eton Thomas complaining about the general manager
Starting point is 00:35:55 telling me that Gilbert needs to focus on offense he doesn't need to use his energy on defense that's what you guys are for and they got mad at that who was the jean right my general managers was earner grunfield so let me so the question is this okay I'm going to chime in as soon as you get done I have a job to do right yes I get paid for this job yeah right yeah I do this job very well
Starting point is 00:36:25 yes okay yes you got a job to do right okay okay are you doing your job well well huh well you doing your job well okay because when I'm talking to you I'm looking at you ain't doing your job and what is that huh what is it from the 50 on the shots that I'm getting 15, 16, don't turn the ball over. All the things that I'm doing well. But that's your job. Pizzinski, your job is to, God damn, and do this. You ain't doing this.
Starting point is 00:36:55 We're not talking about. I'm talking about my 5-5 and 5. I'm doing that. I'm talking about the young fellow. My six fouls, I'm doing that. Close lines on somebody, I'm doing that. But the other guy averaged in 15. The guy they're fucking with average.
Starting point is 00:37:07 But that's what I'm not saying. I don't know. I think it's him. For some reason, I don't think of him together. I don't think Posensky is. is doing what they thought he was doing. Of course, no, we all think that. Like, 11, 11, and 9, I traded Clay Thompson for this is the problem.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Yeah, we all think that. You know what I mean? So it seems like that's more of my issue. So I think the issue is, right? Kaminga is just one of those guys, they get to blame easier. Yeah. Because they go smaller. Because he did it before.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Like, oh, who, shit. Oh, hey. Because they did for Zizi earlier. They switched him out like, oh, you get a fucking one out. But. So you said to Jim. Kim came and said that shit, right? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:49 I played with a prolific score as well. Uh-huh. And I wish a motherfucker would have came in here and said, let that man just focus on offense. We play with two of them, actually. We ain't a team. Hey, listen, we... That is a part of the team, you know.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Play with... Listen, play with two of them at one, on one team together. Uh-huh. We can do that now. And I wish a motherfucker would have ever came in and talking about, listen, let them focus on offense and y'all got... Y'all care.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I care they way, care they bad. It's a team, cool. You need a guy that go. If you don't get your ass down that key to stop these motherfuckers, I'll let them go so you can get your blocks. No. We all said the thing is we don't need to hear that. We all know who getting all the shots as he is, right?
Starting point is 00:38:37 We know where the ball going. We know, listen, we look, listen, we in game 47. We didn't look down every single game that was played. You took the most shots We know that already I knew that on the team We knew Mello was going to take the most shot It wasn't a fucking question
Starting point is 00:38:54 But for you to come in there and be like Yo, let your team focus on offense only Man if you, but Your boy, listen It would have took all the niggas to hold me back in that motherfucker The gym would have said some shit like that Now think about that
Starting point is 00:39:07 If he say that to the coach When they're talking about Getting better at defense as a team And he says let him focus on score. What do you think he was telling me? You said, man, yeah, that's... Hey, don't, hey, you had two foul and they had to serve you out. Hey, try not to get in foul trouble, so you got to say in.
Starting point is 00:39:26 See, that's a different conversation. You know what I mean? That's what conversation you think I'm having at the boss. No, that's a different conversation. That's not talking who. Hey, that's not. What I'm saying is, they have the conversation with me. Like, listen, can you can't pick up too early, right?
Starting point is 00:39:38 So, yeah. I get that. Listen, try to stay out of fire. That's a different conversation than saying, let this motherfucker folks on offense and y'all carry his bag you only can't think about defense is bad
Starting point is 00:39:52 you don't have to carry his way he don't play defense no no I played defense no he realized I was a better because we already know who's taking off the shot it's not a question for sure you're bad at me because we know when you look at the roster
Starting point is 00:40:06 but I'm not gonna do it's like yeah yeah yeah so this what I told people like from day one right when I got to Denver I could have easily came that motherfucker a day one in demand list. I need 20 shots a night. Day one. I could have demand list. I need 20 a night. And what that would
Starting point is 00:40:24 have did to Youngfellow? He was an old. He was there before. No, he was in the second year. Right? I could have came in demand list. I need 25, 25 night. Touches.
Starting point is 00:40:43 Then what? You get 25 touches. But then what does that do to him? They look that's your ass and said, all right, man. No. Take your ass. Are you serious? No, high as paid on this?
Starting point is 00:40:55 Listen, no, don't forget. Listen, we were talking about 2004, Nick. I know, but that man just came from averaging 20 something. He's just off his rookie year. But that rookie year. They brought, listen, I was the top free agent that came. I know that. I know that.
Starting point is 00:41:08 I don't get twisted, Nick. But we're talking about then. We ain't talking about the Kenyon. I told you yesterday. The King that showed up to the Clippers, I'm not, I was worn, I was worn, I'm talking about, I was talking about, we're talking about the nigga that day, and he was in his second year, though. Yeah, but that rookie season was special.
Starting point is 00:41:25 It was, he got, I'm not taking anything away from it. Let's keep it on coming in to me. But I'm just saying, though, but the point is, when you're working and you doing certain things, but we've been talking about this, motherfucker carrying people back. Yeah, no, we're not doing that. But I'm going to solve this and we're going to do like that shit don't work. Don't get mad at me for him telling you. Because the coach said this.
Starting point is 00:41:51 But the head ball said this. Yeah, I wouldn't have a problem. So I got to make these passes and you know, I get to Tennessee. You're like, Tennessee, oh, oh, relax. Yeah. Just score. See, that's just score. That's not a winning organization.
Starting point is 00:42:06 We're not playing winning basketball. That's crazy. Not playing winning basketball, man. I'm staffing the finals. No, we're talking about this. The Warriors are a winning. How they hide, how they hide, like you said, how they hide, like you said, how they said, you know, can you, don't come out here and go get through fouls because, nigga, we need you on the floor.
Starting point is 00:42:24 To win the game, we need you to win the game. Right, so don't get in foul trouble. He's our defensive. They need him on the floor. Absolutely. They need Kaminga on the floor. They need me as fucking well, because I average more points to this dude. I'm more offensively gifted.
Starting point is 00:42:38 I'm do all these things better. Of course we still need it, but in his mind, like, looking at the stats sheet, this motherfucker will go. Six points. Why they can't just be on the court together? I think they can coexist. They can't. Shai, they cannot co-exist. They can't coexist because somebody's used to being in the backpack.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Everybody else used to have their own backpack. The niggas is comfortable in the backpack. Last night was a backpack night. Last night was a backpack night. Hey, get on my back. I got y'all. Remember? It feels good, don't it?
Starting point is 00:43:08 That's what got in punch. Yeah. See, Camina, he's like, look, come past me. He's seen that punch me. I'm a point in a punchback. He's seen that punch. I'm just saying. Kameenka, like, I'll punch back.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Cool, whatever. But, look, Drefield, comfortable in the backpack. This feels like old times. This feels like, this feels good. They stuck in the bag? Man, now he won't point, but like, look, he don't want to get in the backpack.
Starting point is 00:43:28 He don't want to get in the backpack. Y'all don't want to get in the backpack. It's comfortable in here. Jimmy came in the backpack. Jimmy came in the backpack. With a pillow. With a pillow. Hooked on his back.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Scoot over, Drey, mine. Scoot over, nigg. Scoot over. Dunk, let's scoot over. He was donkey. He went to leave. It's straight. And then go get a bob done and all kinds of shit.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Dress up just for the backpack. What are we doing? We're talking to Uber or not? I just want niggins to perform, bro. It ain't nothing personal. The young fellas ain't doing nothing but showing up playing hard. Steve Kerr trying to cover their ass because you got to blame somebody, except for him.
Starting point is 00:44:06 He's not going to take the blame. It's only Kaminga. Does Brandon do it? Because you're stars, you don't say nothing to them. Like, they don't get none of the blame? Who? Like the... Who?
Starting point is 00:44:18 What did you blame Draymond for? Jimmy Stelves, the Draymond? Let's exclude Draymond. Draymond does his production and his... We know his... It ain't stats. It ain't points. No, it ain't points.
Starting point is 00:44:30 You need him on the floor, right? I know. If Drayman's on the floor, he's going to be productive in the way that he is productive for his team. That's there. I know that. Period. Period.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Period. Period. The other guys who... They do the good, hot, bad cop all the time. But now it's two people doing bad cop. Jimmy and Draymond is coming at time. Bad cop, back cop. Yeah, but you see Steph's trying to be the nice guy, the mediator.
Starting point is 00:44:55 I ain't as nice as boss. Yeah. I mean, one thing about the words, I mean, but one thing about the words, you know, they can't flip the switch, though. What switch? What switch? They ain't switch. So, Mr. B, they can flip the switch, but will they flip the switch?
Starting point is 00:45:08 They can. They can't. No, you can't, listen, man. Without every missed games, that's why they lost. I know, but I'm saying they can always flip the switch. They can always get back to the winner. Step was gone, best player. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:22 Hall of favor. Without them. Uh-huh. Is there anybody else on the team that's in that category? No. So if he's off the court, lost, lost if you played the Wichists, you win, okay? We get it. He comes back.
Starting point is 00:45:39 You win. So he missed games they lost He's back When is going to happen Just because you sub somebody out You sub somebody out And you start winning because step is here now Doesn't mean your ideal work
Starting point is 00:45:54 It's not Kaminga coming in and out The guy who does all the work Is back now So don't matter who you put on the lineup He's doing what he's going to do But they haven't issues They're talking about it, I believe And then
Starting point is 00:46:08 They're talking about the issue He was going to win. But wait. Wait. He's got back. But wait. So all this losing was, but he wasn't here. There's more.
Starting point is 00:46:15 No, they just got beat. They just got. They got smacked by the Thunder Tuesday with step back in the line. It was his first game back. If Camingo wasn't the problem, guess what wouldn't have? He wouldn't have been moved to the bench. Right? So all that press conference shit was about what?
Starting point is 00:46:30 On a win. Steve, what you want us to say? Steve, what kind of, what should we say to the, hey, you know what to say? It ain't me. It ain't you. It ain't you, Jimmy. All these damn Drake subliminal shots. Why would you move this dude to the bench and then send shots?
Starting point is 00:46:46 Not say no name. Like you said, Drake. Drake. Is it the Braids? Drake. Is it the Braids? When was this? Tuesday night they lost a thunder by 24th.
Starting point is 00:46:58 Okay. The next game, Kamenga, is on the men. Tuesday night. So we played that clip at the top of this segment. Step had 11 points. Now, Steph just got back off of missing, what, three games. Without Steph or with Steph just coming back, what was the, what was they supposed to lose by? 1520.
Starting point is 00:47:21 To the Thunder, yeah, 1520. Supposed to win the game. Right. All right. Now's supposed to lose. To the Thunder? Supposed to win. Every game, you go out and try to win.
Starting point is 00:47:31 You know, say, oh, we're not going to win. What they got Jimmy for? Is Jimmy not an all-off? Okay, listen, listen, okay. Jim's not an all-star? What was they supposed to lose by? There's Jimmy an All-Star now. They were supposed to lose by 15 to 20 points to that team anyway.
Starting point is 00:47:43 But they lost by 20. So you lose by the number your ass was supposed to lose by, and then you want to blame somebody for getting your ass beat against a team. You was going to get your ass beat against. But six straight road losses at that point. And how many did Steph play in? Okay. Does it matter?
Starting point is 00:48:01 Stop coming at me. He just lost in that game, 11 points. This lost. He just got that. But this game. Matter. You're fucking about him. them beating back or not?
Starting point is 00:48:09 They both had like six, seven points. Who did they play when they first came back? Thunder. When he first came back? Thunder and Spurs on back to back. You ain't even, I would have set that one. But that's the thing, you're trying to blame somebody because you're losing to a team he just lost it.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Fucking wing defenders out there. All right, well, let's shift focus, talk about the other side, talking about the Spurs. So after a shaky pair of games last week and back-to-back loss into the Suns and Lakers, it appeared teams. We're starting to figure out how to slow down. Wimby. But the French big man has gotten his game back on track
Starting point is 00:48:42 with the Spurs winning three of their last four games, including a record setting performance against the Bulls Monday night. Can we, we take a look at those highlights please from the Spurs Bulls game on Monday if y'all don't mind. Just a little Wimby appreciation. Wimby's back looking like an alien.
Starting point is 00:48:56 He had 38 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and five blocks, 11 and 19 from the field, six and nine from three. It was another Wimby Gami game that he added to his resume. Now the first player in NBA history with 35 plus points, 10 plus rebounds, five plus assists, five plus threes, and five plus blocks in the game.
Starting point is 00:49:13 I know y'all hate stats, but the stats are the stats. Darren Foxx off at 21 and 5 in his second game back. Stefan Castle, 19 points, 11 dimes. The Spurs came through and handed the Bulls, their first home loss of the season. Again, this game was on Monday. They were back in the crib Wednesday getting beat by the Warriors. When we followed up this performance against the Bulls
Starting point is 00:49:35 with that 30, 15 and 10. That's like me on two games. Like you're in real life. Let's watch it though. Oh, the sitter doing that shit. Feels good to be back. Waving everybody off, 7.5. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:49:46 I love that walk. Whoa. Yeah, that's the big of shit. Yeah, that's. That is what it is. Like I said, Spurs, handed the Bulls their first home loss of the season. Wimby followed up this game, of course, with the 31, 15, and 10. Triple double in the loss of the Warriors.
Starting point is 00:50:01 So in his last four games, Wimby's average of 27 points, 13, rebound, six assists, three blocks. 50, 41, 100 shooting splits. That's nice. Good to see Wimmy getting his groove back. How many games, you say? Four. That's fucking nice.
Starting point is 00:50:17 Not enough of a sample size. I'm saying they only played 12. So, yeah, I just, no, he's playing great. I'm just, I just wanted, I thought it was. No, he's playing great. I had the back-to-back loss of the Sons and Lakers last week. No, he still doing this thing. We were all in the arena, y'all were drawing up play, shooting jumpers.
Starting point is 00:50:35 For various portions of the couch. Good to see D. Fox back. I think that's helping him a lot. Yeah, I help him for sure. And still, just doing this thing. I think we talked about him earlier in the week. That's exactly what we talked about, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:48 Defox coming in and then everything changing. Making sure he can get to his spots. Open the floor up. Yeah. Defox also up and outst Define Castle. Castle, I think, was averaging six assists, five turnovers. Prior to D. Fox coming, now he's averaging 11 assists, and just 1.7 turnovers in the three games they've played together.
Starting point is 00:51:05 There. One two of those three. Fox move around. Say it again. He's averaging less turnovers. Who is? Castle was averaging six assists, five turnovers without Deer and Fox in the line of their last three games together.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Castle's averaging 11 assists and just 1.7 turnovers. And what is Fox averaging? Box numbers dip a little bit because of that Warriors game, but the first two games he came back. It was 23, four. The assists and turnover is sure. Just four. What?
Starting point is 00:51:33 What? What is this is four turnovers? Which one? Okay. Let me pull it on. If he was averaging five, it did now, I relieve him. Do I, am I inheriting it? Hmm?
Starting point is 00:51:45 Who's, the sis is still there, or the turnovers? So in three games he's averaging four sis. And? And. Uh-huh. See, he's smelling. And five turnovers. Okay, so I just took the turnovers from you and just put it on myself because I'm the
Starting point is 00:52:00 playmaker now. Because he's a true point guard. And then Castle went from six assists to a six. from six assists to 11 point. Because he's a slasher. Yeah. But I'm just saying. He's at his true position.
Starting point is 00:52:10 He's like a Jimmy Bowler with the Bulls. Yeah, he liked the pass and slash. He can't really shoot like that. So he gets open spots and he can find wimby, find the corner guys. De Aaron Fox is more focused on getting to the rim. He will turn that bitch over just like every other point guard to just try to score. You ain't got nothing to say? No, I'm just saying...
Starting point is 00:52:38 The question was about wimping, but... Every four or six, five turnovers. That's a good thing, bad thing? Oh. Four assists, five turnovers? Sounds good. I remember people were saying Fox need to move around and leave. Four assists, five turnovers is what he's averaging.
Starting point is 00:52:56 But also... What's that? For three games? Four assists. 19 points. But he's been out for a minute. Turnovers. He average 19.
Starting point is 00:53:04 still. No, no, what I'm saying is he's not doing nothing different than the other person was doing. The other person was actually having a better ratio at point. But now this other person has nearly doubled there is this. He's looking, he's,
Starting point is 00:53:20 the problem is, when we had one bad game and then they tried to blow it up like he's figured out, that's the problem. Two underperforming games. Two underperforming games. So the amazing, amazing games that he was having and then he had two
Starting point is 00:53:35 welcome back to Earth games and now he's back in Mars that's what this is like it's trying to make it seem like they figured them out they lock them down we didn't make it seem like we just merely asked the question that's why there's a question mark on it it was not we actually
Starting point is 00:53:52 broke the shit down that when Fox comes back it's going to open up the place and they're going to figure out how to adjust and they did wasn't no down the earth nothing it was Wimby look you turn we turn turning the ball over because we're trying to force this shit. Let's find out what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Let's adjust. Here's the adjustment. A.D. Fox, you see, they got to respect you now at the point, Castle. They got to respect you at the shooting guard, not the point. It's a big difference when we're talking who? We're watching the games. Shit look different. It ain't the same.
Starting point is 00:54:28 It ain't crowded. They're not sitting in there. They can't run the old school defense the way they had. plan because now we got different options. I'm glad all that fox hate is put the rest right now. Who was hating on them? Everybody was just saying Star Harper and all that they don't need them. Star who?
Starting point is 00:54:51 We got Harper dealing with it at the end of the beginning. They got Fox telling them around and trade them. I'm so confused here. It's what I'm hearing. is one thing, right? I'm hearing, okay, Fox came in, and I think I'm hearing he has 20 assists, three turnovers, right? Right, he's getting the ball flinging it and everybody's in heightened.
Starting point is 00:55:22 What I'm looking at is 13 assists, 14 turnovers. which means the ball is just flinging no different than it was before just out there trying to make shit happen force feed the guy no different than the last person that did it very different it's very different if you're watching turnover is very different if you're just going to do public opinion watching he's going to watch the game and say look at the box score yeah let's just say off the box score let's be lazy let's not watch the game Them D. Aaron Fox turnovers are not just slinging the ball around.
Starting point is 00:56:04 He's being aggressive. He's being the point guard. He's going to be a combo guy. He's trying to get to his spots. He's doing his thing. The same thing Castle was doing. Turning the ball over. But you got to respect.
Starting point is 00:56:18 Now Castle's in a different position where I'm not going to turn the ball over like that because I'm playing in my position where I get clean dishes. Boom, boom. 34 assists and five turnovers. in that same three games sample so 34 so it sounds i can see if it sounded like this my real point guard right what are we trying my real point guard came back and i'm averaging and those same things what what are we saying 34 assists and what i're playing well it sounds like that's what fox supposed to be i have no idea but it's not you're doing the same thing the last person did but
Starting point is 00:56:56 wimby's back playing good winby's playing good because we have our guy who I said he's going to create space for Wimby to have better options. But so, wait, hold on, so. I get it. Wait, hold on. So the Spurs are what right now? What, what, 8 and 2 or 9 and 3 or whatever? So out of those not, out of those first, what, 12 games,
Starting point is 00:57:18 you have, what, okay, so out of those games, what he had maybe two bad games, three bad games? Yes. Whimby? Two decent games. I mean, too deep, bag. Okay. If he was 10, 40, 40, 30, 40, 30, 40.
Starting point is 00:57:29 And then you go to 20 and 20 and 20. 20 and then in 18 it's a bad game and they figured you out okay oh that's what we're trying to say yeah okay so but at the end of the day yeah nine nine 19 22 and 18 yeah just don't listen okay okay is that nine points against the sons 19 okay oh but those wins are lost work those were back to back losses you're back to back and which ones ones and lakers and lakers had nine against the sons 19 against the lake both of those were losses and then they won Houston and then they won the next three games. Hold on, whoa, whoa, hold on.
Starting point is 00:58:04 Let's, because neither one of them teams have anybody to figure shit out when they come to Wimby. He just fucking played bad. So that's fucking, they threw shit out. They threw shit out of that. They threw it out of that he hadn't seen before. They threw shit out of that he hadn't seen before. Nobody else was doing that shit.
Starting point is 00:58:23 You mean to tell him DeAndreight went out there and did anything with motherfucking Wemby? Front, switch, switch, front. He played on the perimeter. He didn't change the games. He didn't change the game. He didn't change the defense. They didn't keep the defense on it. Not everybody's going to adopt the same defense.
Starting point is 00:58:39 I didn't watch the games. I watched it. We watched it. How about this? How about this? I don't know. Short again. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:58:48 I got the two teams that who he played the so-called bad games against. So he had nine points and then 19 points. So what was his other stats? Rebounds, blocks. A lot. Give me those, please. One of y'all give me. 9.9 rebounds, 2 assists against the sons.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Hold on, y'all. 9.9 rebounds, 2 assists against the suns, 19.8 rebounds, 3 assists. How many blocks? He had 4 blocks against the suns, one block against the leg. So was the Laker game here? Yeah. So he went out. No, no, no, he don't go out.
Starting point is 00:59:17 No. He was getting to begin. That's what he's going. No, no. He didn't do it. We can't do that. Is he went out? We've been doing it?
Starting point is 00:59:26 No. We all go out. We all did. He was going to my hand. Niggas go to certain place, niggas don't play well. In the history of the game, Niggas can't go out.
Starting point is 00:59:33 He didn't go out. Niggas went to Toronto. Niggas go to place, nigga played bad. He's like, oh, he was in the city land. He was watching the game. The commentators clearly said, Jay J.J. has adopted
Starting point is 00:59:43 what the fucking sons just did the last game. So, and that they are now being successful, nobody else adopted. So how many games they have been working? So how many games? Since those two games, hold on. Four games. Those two games, how many games have they played?
Starting point is 00:59:58 They play. How many games did they play since those two games? They play four games or three in one of those four games? And he is doing what? So the rest of the league didn't adopt. No, he did not. So why not? Because they don't.
Starting point is 01:00:09 He just played bad. 50, 40, 100. Let me just do what they did. It seems to work. No, no, what happened was. But you know, San Antonio's going to make adjustment. No, that's what I said. The other team did.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Can you play what Wimby did? When he was playing, they did that shit. He was trying to post up. Let's show what. what Wendy, Wimby decided to do. Play the video. I guess. He adjusted.
Starting point is 01:00:34 Yeah. Show the video. So we can see what Wimby did. You remember I'm trying to post up and you wanted to corral him and do all this shit. Let's show what Winnby did. Show the motherfucker. We were, we were showing what Wimby did. Only can catch me.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Sockray blue. Your mother passes sitting now, cool. Bonjour. You got to worry about that. You're talking about that offense. Bollyball. There we go. Keep that with me here.
Starting point is 01:00:57 Motherfuckus. Open shot. Hea. Take the easy shot, the open shot. Okay. We will. Hey, eh, don't help. Hi.
Starting point is 01:01:05 Why would you throw him in my chest? Ah, ooh. Got him, spinny. Woohoo. Mm-hmm. Ha. Okay, okay, double here. Got you.
Starting point is 01:01:13 Lay bucket. Bingo. Yeah, y'all want to do one again? Let me bring this on the court. Oh, you're about to pick me up? No, no. No, no. They're going to double in the post.
Starting point is 01:01:24 They're going to double me in the post. I know what to do now. I can do that. I'm going to do it. I'm going to put him to sleep. The first dribble is to put the sleep room right here. No, stay, stay, stay. They're going to double.
Starting point is 01:01:35 They're going to double. That first dribble is to put your sleep. Or, boy. Ah, you can't double that out. Hey. Do y'all got the sun's footage? No. Bring up the sun's footage.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Y'all bring up the sun's footage. Let's compare that. Let's debunk that. I don't think he won't that. No. Matter of fact, look. Hey, y'all got the sun. Won't y'all just look into this?
Starting point is 01:01:58 Don't you just look into the light. Don't you just look into the light. We're going to forget about this whole thing, okay? I know you hope. Okay. One, two, three. All right. We're going to forget about that because this is just,
Starting point is 01:02:15 and you're going to make, y'all, you want to show the sun's highlight? Jesus Christ. Because if the sun's highlight don't look like in Jesus. In Jesus. Because he just talk loud and move fast. All that shit that worked for these young kids They ain't got no fucking brain.
Starting point is 01:02:29 We're talking about a niggum, we're talking hoop. That's a completely different game. Completely. Completely. The Suns did different shit. Spurs did different shit. This is Wimby scoring and transition, my nigga. There wasn't no fucking nothing on the polls that was, come on, man.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Let's talk past the ball. Here we go. Here we go. I'm getting doubled in the post these two games. So I'm not going to. What's the adjustment? I'm not going to go in a post. What's the adjustment?
Starting point is 01:02:59 I'm not going to go in the post. What's the adjustment? I'm not going to go in the post. What's the adjustment? I'm not going to go in the post. Hey, I know this whole movement, bro. Right. I mean, if I post up and you double me and that affected me, my adjustment is, stay on the perimeter and shake these dudes.
Starting point is 01:03:19 What did that show? A quick shot. On the perimeter, shake these dudes. I'm not going to go in the post where they can double me. Like it affected me. But you said, hey, Wambi, when you're in the post, turn and just look over these niggins. So you said when you're in the post. What he'd do if they doubled him in the post.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Right. So now the adjustment wasn't in the post at all. For him, he adjusted by going back to the perimeter. That's what he did. And taking away the ability to double. Yes. Right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:50 Which he was saying just when the double just turning. No, I'm saying what he should do if you're coming, turn and face. If you're going to play in that area. He decided to adjust in that area. Like, you haven't realized that. Cooking with Larry, t-shirts. In the description, y'all go check them out. Availbaggaredness.com, my hope.
Starting point is 01:04:08 You can go get the shirt. I give you a double and me going left. We're house five. Shout out to Mikel. He waved the big roll off for that one. Yeah, all that, whatever, y'all are talking about, man. That boy just had two bad games. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Too decent games. Whatever, nine points is bad. That's a bad game, 19, not a bag. I'm not buying that J.J. Redd nor that the fucking Phoenix Suns did anything to this man other than he didn't play well. Well, let's talk about some more bad games to keep this thing moving. But first, today's show is sponsored by Rough Greens. Sometimes in life, if you want to get to the truth, you've got to look at the numbers. Starting point is 01:05:31 Just add a scoop of rough greens. And speaking of a team that needs a scoop of rough greens, Lakers have gotten off to a hot start despite being without a top six player in the league last season in LeBron James. So Luca entered the purple and gold's biggest test of the season so far against the defending champion Thunder, averaging a league leading 37 points along with nine rebounds and nine dimes. So last week on the show, Gil, you said Lucas had the better career
Starting point is 01:05:54 compared to SGA thus far this is you said we have before last year you said before last year he caught up so they're equal now I said he caught up they're equivalent okay they're equivalent
Starting point is 01:06:07 well SGA must have seen the clip and the Thunder unloaded the clip on the lake show on the second night of a back-to-back Wednesday let's take a look at the highlights if we can please game was over in the first quarter Thunder jumped out to a 12 point lead
Starting point is 01:06:20 and led by 32 at the half as the Lakers struggled to find their rhythm SGA finished with 30 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 30 minutes of action. 85th straight regular season games scoring 20 or more points, 11th 30-point game this season, and he sat the fourth quarter for the seventh time in 13 games this season. Luca was playing with a heavy heart after the Mabbs announced the firing of Nico Harrison, the man who ruined his dreams of playing his entire career in Dallas. Slovenia and Jesus had his worst game of the season, finishing with 19 points, 7 boards, and 7 assists.
Starting point is 01:06:51 Austin Reed also had his lowest scoring output this season, finishing with just 13 points along with three assists and five turnovers. It was a hard one. Look, I mean, we watch us on playback. I think we were in agreement that the narrative we want to push is that JJ Reddick planning to see this team in the playoff didn't want to give up too much of the Lakers' playbook.
Starting point is 01:07:12 Little Ropa dope-dope. No, that was your narrative. It was, but you agreed? No, I didn't. You said it was a good narrative. No, it was. It was. If they played last night.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Lakers did not play last night. Oh, no, who the fuck this team was? Out here, but shout out SGA. Doing his proverbial thugged team. That right, man. Is that Luca playing defense? Oh, that little twist. Solid, solid effort.
Starting point is 01:07:36 He got that nice little hit. So, Leger's were held under 100 points for the first time this season. OKC's 12-1 start, the best in franchise history. So as you know, Gil is a lover and advocate of small market NBA teams. So let's talk about the best one in the league right now. Even without all-N-B-A and all-defensive election,
Starting point is 01:07:53 Jalen Williams and Lou Dork, who didn't play at that game, the Thunder have been dominant to start this season, have the best defense, best net rated in the league, set an NBA record with their 12.9 point differential per game last season, and they were at 15.5 so far this season. So as you gentlemen, look at this Thunder squad, 12-1, on pace, potentially. Did you write this?
Starting point is 01:08:16 I write everything. You started putting net rating and stuff like that? You never talked like that before. to expand my game. Okay. Interviewing. Call my audition tape. Just put a little good tape together out there.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Come over here and enjoy the square. Come over here and enjoy the corporate. So I can be like the square. I'm trying to tell you. I'm trying to tell you. It's better over here. Big words are using net readings. Like, wait a little.
Starting point is 01:08:37 Sometimes you got to square out, dude. All right. Disney, Gucci, Luffy for Christmas. But when you look at this Thunder squad, what makes this Thunder team so special? They, everything. I mean, when you talk about it,
Starting point is 01:08:51 about, you know, winning programs, winning situations, all the elements that it takes, work ethic, the love of the game, getting along together, everybody knows their roles, right, everybody buying in to the same goal, that's what this team seems to have done, especially at an early age, and it seems like, like, even right now, they wasn't happy on how they won last year, right? They won, but to their standard, they don't think it was good enough. And it seems like they're coming back like, nah, we're about to double back and show y'all what we really are. Confident, now.
Starting point is 01:09:32 We didn't whip your asses sufficiently. Like I said, the biggest thing they had, they gained confidence, man. Yeah, confidence. To come out and had the same guys in the locker room again. It's huge. Most rosters flip over, adding guys, they did a good job not doing that. So, yeah, man, they've been doing an excellent job at drafting. They're doing an excellent job at developing and holding on to their original assets,
Starting point is 01:10:05 which is huge. Yeah, so, yeah, them starting the way they did. I thought they would flirt with that 73 and 9. They're going to pace to do it. So I think they, yeah. I mean, they're playing. They don't know no better. They're going out having fun, competing.
Starting point is 01:10:23 And they want to show people how good they are. They want to beat everybody in the league. So them beating people by average of almost 16 a night is not a fluke. They are that much better than team. And they want to prove it. And I think they're on the mission to go back to back. Yeah. I think just having from like, you know, the first
Starting point is 01:10:46 from like, you know, the first guy to 15 guys, everybody being able to play two-way players. You know, the fact that they're young, the fact that J. Dove isn't even back yet. SGA, he doesn't even play fourth quarters like that right now. So, and, you know, I think the oldest player is, what, 27? Maybe like 20, or maybe.
Starting point is 01:11:06 Or something like that. I mean, they're young though. So just to see a young court like that stay together and still hungry, I mean, you know, that record, I think they're going to be able to break that record easy. And like I said, man, they're scary for one to 15. I was crusoe, I believe, 31 years old. Ball head still shiny.
Starting point is 01:11:26 So, yeah. Play with a chip on the shoulder in that game. Shee DM me and told me, watch tonight, I'm going to show you all. Because he was watching that day when he was saying, Luca, like, he was comparing all the all NBA teams and like, like, fuck Shay type, you know. One year just to catch up, like. So he said, watch the night. Did you respond back to him?
Starting point is 01:11:52 Did you heart the message? Yeah, yeah, I seen it. I think that. It was an ass-whippoor. It's just, there's no comparison to who's, like, team. Who's the best team? Who's the best player in the NBA right now? Who's playing with the most confidence?
Starting point is 01:12:10 Who just playing on another level? It's okay, see, man. It's Shay. There's nothing you can do that can stop that, man. No double teams. Off night he's still going to win. On night, they win in by 50. You know, they just...
Starting point is 01:12:28 You play both in. That's what you gotta do. That's what I want my Lakers to do. Like, the Lucas shit. You see when I just blew by and I'm off for just a one? No, I didn't see the, no. They didn't play last night. That was not.
Starting point is 01:12:43 That was not the lecture. No, no, no, no. I'm saying state. No, no. Don't think it's going to get any better on this stuff. They didn't? No. What was they doing?
Starting point is 01:12:54 What was they doing? Same thing LeBron was doing? Somewhere in the D League, G League, South Bay Leckers. You ever see your ass whipping so bad that you try to start the game back over? Like, all right, y'all got this one. Let's just run it back.
Starting point is 01:13:10 Run it back. Let's just run it back. Let's run it back. All right. Let me just run this back. It's a 2K. Ah. That's how it started.
Starting point is 01:13:17 You just be like, God, that team on paper. Just rub this back. This ain't even. Just look at the teams on paper if you don't see them play. Who? If you just look at it. Oklahoma City better.
Starting point is 01:13:28 No, no. Paper. No, Oklahoma City better. No, no, no. Don't look at them. Yes. On paper, the names, weakens. Without the team last night, without what we call it?
Starting point is 01:13:39 Any team got Jared Vanderbilt on the other team better? better. No, he's not in the starting line. Look at it. There's 15 players on the roster. Jesus. Why are you? There's 15 players on the roster. Jesus. You've been around. That's too much. You don't like Vando. Just thinking of starting lines. No, I mean, like, the name. Okay, if you look at the name on paper. We're going to be like, yeah, this is okay. What's that? Have you looked at the pictures? You look at the picture. Lakers look like they're going to lose by 50 every night.
Starting point is 01:14:14 Yeah, y'all got four white boys. That's when you show up at AAU. That's what they were like, yeah. Like, AAU nationals and you look at the name. All you see is the names. No, you look at the warm-up line. They come out for the warm-up line, you look down and you're like, oh yeah, we're going to beat them by 50.
Starting point is 01:14:31 What happened to our mex guy, though? That was the best high A.U. Come out them off from the back doing the shit out your ass, though. We're supposed to pay them $300. Run the flight. They're supposed to lose like this. I know all too well. Papad de l'amont.
Starting point is 01:14:43 Shai, you had something you wanted to add to this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I did. That's what I was. I just want to say, shout out to the chat. Throw them tombstones in there if you fuck with Larry cooking the day. I just want to big up OKC because they got a new edition that's actually out there fucking people up, AJ Mitchell, out there doing shit that can kind of cover for Williams being out. He's out there being a whole different anomaly.
Starting point is 01:15:13 You know, I do watch the games. Him in Case and Wallace is really showing up, playing a good team ball. He's, I think, highest point per game increased from the previous season to this season. He's playing well. But Reeves and Luca also on that top. He looks like a season player that has really been waiting for an opportunity to play. Took a big advantage of it. And just watching him play the confidence that he has, it's tremendous.
Starting point is 01:15:35 But at the same time, SGA had a point to prove. the team got to I mean and I think his leadership goes in there is like yeah we see it bulletin board material you see what they said y'all just some corner boys man they don't think we can do it again what we doing huh let's hey let's make sure
Starting point is 01:15:56 they fans leaving our fans leaving about a fourth every game Luca no Luca fuck Luca go get that nigga a burrito Sit him down So what flavor burrito What flavor?
Starting point is 01:16:15 Shrimp Shrimp burrito It's nasty That nigger shrimp burrito With the juices in it The guacamole too That green Yeah
Starting point is 01:16:26 That's how he was moving out there Mylaque am I like that Yo I just don't think man I know he does but Sam Pressing him don't get enough credit, man. What they're doing in that front office, like,
Starting point is 01:16:44 to Brandon's point he made early in before the show and where Rashad is saying, like to have guys that you can just plug in that's, I ain't saying as good as Jalen Williams or good as Lou Dort or goodish, but they are very, very capable of holding down the fort while that dudes are out. Yes.
Starting point is 01:17:05 And that goes to doing your job at scouting, doing your job, they're developing these guys, and them guys staying ready. Shout out to the, that's an organizational thing. From the gym them doing their job, to the coaching staff,
Starting point is 01:17:22 holding them guys accountable to the player development guys, developing them guys, keeping them guys sharp and on point. And them dudes, man, showing up, like I said, they don't know no better they're young and they're still hungry, man.
Starting point is 01:17:33 And to get your opportunity when the mother dudes is out, Get Shay a little kid, too. I'm saying, juice you up if you're in the locker room and you're like, we don't miss a beat. Like, that makes Jalen be like, man, I can get all the way right. What? Like, when there's other times, when the dude's not playing as well,
Starting point is 01:17:50 they wouldn't, 11 and 1 at this point, if they were six and five, five, he'll try to rush back. But gives him confidence that he can get himself all the way right. Knowing what Shay going to do, knowing Hartstein going out of any given night, give you 28 and 14. Check can give you the same. same numbers at any given night. And you're not missing the beating.
Starting point is 01:18:10 And other kid, Jaylon Williams comes. The big Jaylon Williams come off the bench, you know. He's a different variety. His shots. Yeah, like them dudes, man, they've done an excellent job, man, and putting that team together. And it is hard for me to believe in the next, like, two, three, four, five years.
Starting point is 01:18:26 They're not going continuously, I ain't saying win it, but being in a position to be continuously making noise if they're able to hold on to that core. Ain't this kind of what the boss and self just look like? like the year before they won it coming into that year they won it it felt like and they beat motherfuckers by 1520 they they got it they figured it out it was putting it together you I'm saying then he go down it's like man it's hard to repeat when you ain't got the same type of energy that but these guys I feel a little bit younger but they sold a team but they did
Starting point is 01:18:57 they wanted me sold a team like yeah like motherfucker jump ship like boss won the motherfucker championship you got to get a motherfucker jump ship you're like man man And then them being where they are, man, the expectations to give always his point to where they play. Playing Oklahoma, bro. They are the attraction. I know it's a small market, but they are the attraction. I have them in his seat, they're selling out. No matter who's coming to town, they come in and see the Oklahoma City Thunder play.
Starting point is 01:19:30 It ain't about who's coming in the building, and I think that's a blessing. a treat to the fans. Yep. Right? Knowing that their team is going to compete no matter if guys are load managing and all this shit because you never know who's going to play when they're coming in town. So the fact that them guys and your star shows up and plays, that's a treat. And I'm glad, something happens for that city.
Starting point is 01:19:54 They give them guys confidence too. They all got confidence in play out there. Ain't nobody like really worried getting, like, that's a talent to have a whole team playing free like that. Like nobody's really worried about if you make mistakes. Like Indiana, like the two teams out there and just... But we talked about it. The team loves each other.
Starting point is 01:20:17 It seems like there's no real inner turmoil. I mean, we can talk about the Warriors earlier in the show. You know, some people would be like, damn, my spot might be took it. He joking around after the game telling ESPN, now I'm still a basketball player. Think about like even that, Jaylon. If Jaylon Williams is out for the whole year, like just say, if he's out. He's still winning. You say, okay.
Starting point is 01:20:34 They have enough to beat the rest of the NBA. Absolutely. Let's talk a little bit about... It'll be a little tougher. But go here. I mean, just... What y'all was talking about yesterday, you know, I wasn't here. You know, small market shit.
Starting point is 01:20:46 And, you know, nobody's paying attention to it based on... Shut up. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's unfortunate, man, because we the media and we can put... We can put a light on this type of shit all the time. Like, we can say, look at Shay. at Shea. Look at Joker, 55 and 12. Like, that's not going under the radar
Starting point is 01:21:11 for any Hooper that watch the game. Maybe motherfuckers who tune in and see the highlights, and they only showing highlights of the Lakers and Austin Reeves and them. But when you're talking about who, which I like to talk about, I like to talk who. SGA ain't going underappreciated.
Starting point is 01:21:28 Joker not going, Donovan Mitchell is not going underappreciated. A lot of the guys who are small market players who play hard and they go out there and they bust niggas heads open every night regardless if the national media acknowledged them or not, it is what it is.
Starting point is 01:21:44 You talk about who? Well, Sean, as you know, Gills are in two days a week, now Wednesday, Thursdays, actually did have the plan for small market Tuesdays. Unfortunately, we got canceled. Unfortunately, we had to cancel it. We had small market Tuesday. We were going to be all small market
Starting point is 01:21:59 conversations. What happened? It said the views are going to be down. What happened? It's not. But underdog saying, that's not going to do no number of son he was supposed to be on that show. The old saying, you can't come in. Small market, too, though.
Starting point is 01:22:11 It's not that it doesn't go and notice. It's just that, like, you know, like when you mention guys like Tim Duncan, right, like guys don't really bring up Tim Duncan a lot because he played in a small market. And he was dominant. I'm not saying it doesn't go, like, we don't know about it, but it's just like if Tim Duncan played for the Knicks or he played for the Lakers, now how big Tim Duncan would be. So the small market shit does matter because at the end day, it's like sometimes,
Starting point is 01:22:33 It's just like, all right, like... It matters to marketing. Like, yes, and, but so, this is marketing. This is pretty much the first time. Let me not misspeak. But of small market guys and teams, they normally aren't big personality guys. I don't know if it's because of how they start or do they come in that way, right? How did you get dropped it?
Starting point is 01:23:04 Like, do they come in that way, or are they already, like, do they become that because of where they're playing? You can be loud and small. Because Tim was there forever. He just was what he was. She is here. Nicola is there. Yonis is there. Reggie Miller played in Indiana.
Starting point is 01:23:20 He never wanted, but he was small. I'm just, really good, good, good players. Wooden's a small player. Golden State was a small place. Playing in Oakland was a small fucking market. What about this guy? He's a national name? He's not a national name?
Starting point is 01:23:38 Small market. He wasn't doing Hulu commercials. No market, though. He's a big-time player. He's a big-name. Even his personality, even he came on publicly and said it. Even his personality, even though he rap and do all it, like, that's, that's, yeah. But, look at the time.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Yeah, if he was in New York, rapping. No, that he'll be crazy. So. But they'll be on his head. Mr. Allstop, just for, just, just with a. smart market does. 1516, he was 8th and MVP votes.
Starting point is 01:24:09 Didn't make the All-Star game, but made second team. That's what a small market does to you. What about Tray Young? Atlanta's a different type of place. What's going on with Tray Young? Is he in a big market? No, he's...
Starting point is 01:24:24 Atlanta's... Small market for basketball. When we're talking about... Yeah, for basketball, yes, it is. What we're talking about... The success... Just think about what you're saying, though, is the most respected. Just think about the success that Trey Young has had.
Starting point is 01:24:37 With no other all-stars, with no- I'm just talking about market. Yeah, I'm just saying, you're saying, Y'all right. It's a small market. In Portland, Milwaukee. Yes, in the small market. Those are small markets.
Starting point is 01:24:49 With the success that Trey has had, he'd have more playoffs and says than Dane. It's more like, like, than some of them. Atlanta, the eighth largest market in the NBA. Who? Atlanta. Yeah, so it's the what? Eightth largest.
Starting point is 01:25:00 Eighth? Yeah, it's not top. It's eight, top ten. We won't top five. How many teams are in the league? How many teams are in the big market? Here the way our 30 teams is top in. 28.
Starting point is 01:25:11 Are we serious? So did you hear the way I... So the way I word is, listen. But hear me out though. Go ahead, go ahead. The success that Trey has had, being in Atlanta, beating the Knicks on the biggest stage, beating certain teams in the playoffs, year in, year out, he doesn't get the love. doesn't get the love
Starting point is 01:25:31 nationally that he deserved because of I think because it's Atlanta is predominantly black I thought we talked about it being because of Trey. Because Trey rubs people the wrong way. He's disliked. Right, not necessarily because of his game.
Starting point is 01:25:48 But it's the national it's national right? When you want to when a writer in Utah don't like you because you came in that motherfucker and you beat them at the buzzer you talk your shit, now he has
Starting point is 01:26:02 a vote on something, he don't vote. So that's popular that they don't like you. Right. So to your point, yes, but if he played in a different place it would still be disliked. Because it's his game. It's what he's doing. I'm rolling dice on the course.
Starting point is 01:26:18 He could be planning a losing situation in Brooklyn. If he was on the Lakers doing that. No, no, no, that's all right. So y'all going to the biggest stage. He can be not, and this is not the Knicks. He can be playing in Brooklyn, playing in New York, playing in Brooklyn, doing exactly what he's been doing, he would get more love.
Starting point is 01:26:33 But if you're in Brooklyn, right? If you're in Brooklyn, right, and you're making it to the playoffs and beating the NICs, you're building Brooklyn up. Yeah, but you should, but the market, the media market. It's just in New York. It's New York. But it's not Atlanta.
Starting point is 01:26:50 Yeah. Atlanta, Vietnam is 10. It's top 10. But if it was Brooklyn, Brooklyn's top five. That's Atlanta because it's Atlanta. Too, we're moving up a couple of notches. But he gets more loved.
Starting point is 01:27:03 All I'm saying is the narrative we can push for small market teams like Shea, like Joker, like Yonnas. We big them up on the show. It's like, they don't go underappreciated. We like, so we big them up in here. Yeah, that's what you're saying. How many times have I came in and said, great shit about Nicole. Yeah, we got to go to them. I'm just saying the chat, constantly.
Starting point is 01:27:25 You can't be saying. Hey, me and Nicole had been to open this motherfucking daycare. For sure. You know, I'm, that's why I was surprised about the conversation. It's true. It's just a thing. Do it. But if those guys played other places, it would be more.
Starting point is 01:27:43 Anthony Edwards did play in Minnesota. If he played in Miami. Oh, my God. Gil has returned with paperwork. You know, he already got a sneaker and already. He's already nationally known. So imagine if he played in Miami. So imagine if he played in the big market.
Starting point is 01:27:56 To me, nothing changes. If his game don't change, it does. If his game doesn't change. When the lawyer, the game is still the city. You just got to win now. When the judge want to talk. It's my game. The judge is into the room.
Starting point is 01:28:12 Gil is returned with his paperwork. We have been asking for this in the past. What's the child? What's that? Somebody got served? No, no, no. This is, um. Oh, I thought the past support.
Starting point is 01:28:21 This is, uh. Oh. Diso master result. Yeah, yes. Yes. This is, go. contract and this is shoe companies contracts and it has terms in here baseline and then if you get drafted to certain teams you get a free bonus so you get a bonus if you're in a tier one key market teams and those are New York Los Angeles Clippers
Starting point is 01:28:59 Los Angeles Lakers Brooklyn Nets Tier 1 meaning if you land in that city your shoe deal heightens you get bonuses for this
Starting point is 01:29:15 So he missed my Like our bid is He missed my point Key Market Tier 2 teams Meaning It drops But we still gonna give you a little bit. You don't get this one. We don't give you a little issue. You got Boston, Rockets, Sixers,
Starting point is 01:29:36 Chicago, Heat, Dallas Hawks. So all of these players has a little bit more shine than there's no Tier 3. Tier 3, do you have to give the shoe company money back? Probably. But these is But what I'm saying is, what I'm saying is, so when you're talking about the next level, if you're landing these, so the teams that's in this tier two, and we think about some of those T's, Dallas, Bavich, they get a little bit of shine. They still get some shine. Right? Dallas do for sure.
Starting point is 01:30:14 Now think about the teams that are not named. All the cities, yeah. Right? So when you're talking about. But you're a point in land owner, though. She has, we're talking about a guy named Shay who swept in, in all of that. That's cool. Did we not see what New York City look like in the playoffs?
Starting point is 01:30:34 Yeah. That's a big market. Did you not see the damn near the whole city go crazy? That's what a big market team looks like. That's what Brunson looks like. When we're talking about Hallie, Hallie looked what? His stock went 10 times. What team was he playing?
Starting point is 01:30:56 Indiana Paces. He's on, that's the biggest light, and he looks so great in that light, it then heightens him. There's nothing you can do about. That's what it is. So if Shea was sitting in one of these cities, a top city, his stock just flies out the roof. Like they have to do so much more than everybody else. Joker has the average of triple double for someone who says, hey, man, Joker had a good game last night. But we don't even know what Portland's doing.
Starting point is 01:31:23 We don't even know what Charlotte's doing. We don't even know what none of these guys doing because no one cares. I disagree. I know you can disagree all you want, but here's paper. You went up there and got all that shit to prove me right. Okay. Because the names I just said when he took his ass upstairs was boodoo-boot-boot-boot-boot-boot-boot. Like Atlanta on the list.
Starting point is 01:31:45 Like Atlanta on the list, like, all I heard what you say is this, but Atlanta's on the list. But people don't watch Atlanta until they. So my thing is. So what you just said, right, you made a good point just a minute ago, right? Trey Song, who you get famous on? Guess who went to New York. No, I'm just saying. When he started?
Starting point is 01:31:59 New York. Yeah. Shay is different. And if you plan to Tyrese Halliburton's point you was just making now, him playing against the Knicks and heighten his celebrity and his notoriety. Just like Reginald. Just like Reggie Miller. Caitlin Clark and Halliburton is in Indiana at the same time.
Starting point is 01:32:21 to like if he didn't play well there's nobody give a fuck if he didn't play well he got to vote well and the fact that he's playing against the Knicks and the fans did all of that shit on the streets and all that that helped his jersey sales but we don't live in it we don't live in a society no more where you say big small anymore because
Starting point is 01:32:44 2025 the internet is 2025 internet exists internet is alive internet is internet That shows you, my son is 2025. You can go here and you can be big here. The internet is a lot. You can be big anywhere. You got to do that. Don't say nothing.
Starting point is 01:33:01 You can be big anywhere. The internet is alive. But you're going on theory of you could be big anywhere. I'm going on theory that Shay is big as a player. Theory. Yeah, say is. Super Paws. Damn.
Starting point is 01:33:17 She is, is, is, is, oh, Damn, how do you even? How big is he? No, let him go. You couldn't wait. You just kept talking. Why you stop? I just had to talk about.
Starting point is 01:33:30 I was like, damn. You were like, that was dangerous. What I'm saying is, like, Shay don't need the marketing to be who he is for the NBA today. He doesn't need all this additional shit. He's killing. He's doing what he do. But Shoker don't need that either.
Starting point is 01:33:50 Because he's not playing for the light. He's not playing for the lights. He's not playing for you to buy something from him. You know why? He's playing for the lot. He's arguing. He's arguing. Because they got whole countries behind them.
Starting point is 01:34:05 No, but he's right. Does that make them a bigger? Does it make him a lot of outside? No, fuck that. There's a whole country. Does that make him a bigger market, though? No. Yes.
Starting point is 01:34:14 You think Congress. You think Congress is happy that. We talked in one thing, but for Shea has a whole country. She has the whole country behind him. The beautiful country of Canada. In Canada, I bet that motherfucker ain't on the shelf. I mean, but you go to, when Nicole is from, he's the biggest thing that they support him. What up, Chad?
Starting point is 01:34:32 They're different, right? But, like, to, it's just them dudes play somewhere else. It would definitely help. Convers is mad. But what would he help? Convers wish that SJ was somewhere else. Of course. Yeah, Nike does.
Starting point is 01:34:48 Of course. No. They don't give a All right coverage down See that's a hour I don't know
Starting point is 01:34:54 Hour and a half hour and a half hour and a half stuff The fans don't give a fuck The fans don't give a fuck If Shay is like a fat I'm fucking 35
Starting point is 01:35:05 To that I'm going to have I'm going to have dry south man In the car I don't have drive south Go play for the Dallas Mavericks It'll be a little different
Starting point is 01:35:16 Jeff Yes it would The fans would not care. The fans are still going to watch Shay. But they're not. The people who, there's city, there's people that play, like, how are you on people that are having an argument every, every year, we're having it every year, right? We're saying the same thing every year.
Starting point is 01:35:38 We're the lead though. They're 11 and 1. They're 11 and 1, 12 and 1, 12 and 1, but they're not getting, they're not getting viewed like in 12 and 1. You got one who's averaging triple double. We're barely hearing about it. How, what calves, right? What the hell?
Starting point is 01:35:56 What did calves have to do for anyone to talk about it last year? 23 and something. Oh, they play 12 games? 15 and 0, 312 games. People who watch are paying attention. Anthony. People who are not watching are not. Anthony Edwards.
Starting point is 01:36:12 Were you paying attention when you seen them niggas winning that. I think everybody in Cleveland was to me. Everybody in Cleveland was. But the point I'm, so you just made my point I was made, right? Everybody, everybody in Cleveland was. How many fucking states there is? Everybody in Cleveland was. You don't need, some people don't need certain big cities.
Starting point is 01:36:33 Like, do you think, it's, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, let's y'all a question. Does support for a team start in the city that it's, that it lives? It starts there, right? For sure, of course. It starts there. Mm-hmm. The more people in the city. city where you play, the more people that supports
Starting point is 01:36:52 the team. It starts in the city where you play and where you reside. Then people move, people live other places that was from that city. Oklahoma City is a small place. But small. Other people live other places that's from Oklahoma City, yes. But Oklahoma City, it can only, has always been this big. It's a college town.
Starting point is 01:37:17 It's a college town. L.A. is not going to support O.K.C. Guess how much? Yes, they do. Never. You know how big the Internet is? How big is the Internet? How big is the Internet?
Starting point is 01:37:30 The Internet is bigger than the small city of Oklahoma City. I've never seen nobody walk around L.A. with the SBA. I'm talking about personalities, though. I'm talking like Anthony Edwards. I've never seen people walk around. They'd be bigger. But he is big. He's big.
Starting point is 01:37:43 The whole game. Last night, all I see was Anna Claus commercial. He's big. He's big. I'm saying this, you're talking about, he is big. Cool. Because his personality. Because it's not.
Starting point is 01:37:53 That's what I'm saying. What is he, he was with a lecture. Y'all are hearing of a second. If your game itself, a Jammarant game, move him in Chicago, can, can oversee the city. Either one of them. A personality in the game can oversee the city, right? Yes, but if you're a Austin Reeves and you're playing in a big city,
Starting point is 01:38:15 you're going to get more love. for sure. Then the nigger who's in for sure. So, no, so. The internet is the internet,
Starting point is 01:38:24 man. Move, move, the local TV going to pump you. No, move, I don't have any local
Starting point is 01:38:30 OCC TV because you live in L.A. But you know, the internet and OKC got access to everybody. We got access to Miami. We can watch everything. So if we don't have to live in L.A.
Starting point is 01:38:45 Okay, so you ever been to, I'm pretty, I'm pretty sure you have. If you lived in Cleveland and a Cleveland game is on, you're going to watch Cleveland, right? Yeah. I'm pretty sure George is not going to watch OKC. If it's on...
Starting point is 01:38:59 If it's on... No, he's going to watch the Cleveland games. George, if you have YouTube TV and you got access to four different games at one time... Why would I watch at halftime? I'm going to tune into the other game. The local TV. The local TV, the local TV watching the local diggers. Because we're going to pay.
Starting point is 01:39:18 Leave pass. We don't care if you're going to pay to watch these other teams that's on other platforms or not. We're going to keep it like this. So if you want to watch these other games, if you want to pay this, because we're no longer on linear TV.
Starting point is 01:39:34 We're no longer linear. We're no longer, hey, it's just ESPN. It's just TNT. These are the games. You now have access via the internet. Uh-huh. To watch all the games.
Starting point is 01:39:46 And no one watches. After just live in OKC. But no one watches it. Yes, they do. That's why the viewership is up for that team. That's the entire league. No. Isn't that team in the league?
Starting point is 01:40:00 That team won the championship. Yeah, let's go watch the champions beat Luca in this. Oh, watch the Lakers. Okay. Hey, hey, football, football, football. Oh, we're going to move to the goal. No, no, we're going to say football, right? All right, let's go to football.
Starting point is 01:40:15 I am. So football. Tombstones in the chat. Football. Who is the biggest football team? Oh, Cowboys. Cowboys, right? How big is that?
Starting point is 01:40:23 Huge, right? That means everyone spread. So when they... When was the last time they won a game? I mean, just won. 20-something years, right? But they're the most expensive team. 30.
Starting point is 01:40:36 The biggest franchise, biggest people, move out. We said the cities, Lakers, New York. Those people migrate, support their teams. that's what happens how many people move from small cities out so they're just local it's a local thing
Starting point is 01:40:56 that's why as a star if you're Shea and you're doing what you're doing right you would think that when you get on ESPN and you just drop it you would think you're number one instead of Shea drops another what's the name what is the tagline
Starting point is 01:41:11 for people to watch oh Lakers oh Lakers drop one Lakers this, Lakers, that, Lakers, this. As a store, you're sitting like, God damn. Like, I just had 40. I just had 40. They don't talk about you as the talking point. They talk about the Lakers as a talk of point.
Starting point is 01:41:26 And that's what happens in a small city. Well, speaking of the Lakers as a talking point, Gil, that's what we call Segway, Jay. It's been more than nine months since Luca got traded to the Lakers. Thank you. And after the game, Slim Slovenian Jesus was asked about the mass fire Nico Harrison and had this response. You just thought my gavel, I was helping you, Judge.
Starting point is 01:41:48 The city of Dallas, the fans, players, they always have a special place in my heart. You know, I thought I was going to stay there forever, but I didn't. So they'll always be a special place for me. Always I can call it home. But right now I'm focused on the Lakers, you know, trying to move on. But obviously, always is going to be part of me in there. Just trying to move on, focus on what we're doing here.
Starting point is 01:42:20 With Nico now gone, and you obviously have a lot of fans back in Dallas, is there a world in which you could ever see yourself playing for that franchise ever again, perhaps one day down the road? Right now, I'm just focusing the Lakers, my like, no further comments. Yeah, I'm going to go back to that small-ass market. I'm just focused on the big market Lakers. That's a dumb-ass question. Hey, you got any OKC stuff?
Starting point is 01:42:49 Yeah, we had a whole OKC segment. No, no, no, no, no, because they won by 30. Are we going to the segment or not? No, I'm just saying they won by 30. I know what, let's do the small marketing. Can you show us O KC interview? Unfortunately, small market Tuesdays, and as you know, the day is Thursday. Oh, they didn't.
Starting point is 01:43:05 So 11 and 1, 12 and 1. So you don't got no, you don't get no. We literally had a whole thunder segment. No, no, I want to hear them talk. Salute to small market. Did we have it or we haven't it? What? Are we about to go into the segment?
Starting point is 01:43:19 We just already have. Okay. Salute to small markets. That was the tagline name for it in the workshopping. I'm just saying I thought there would be a video of the, this thing about the guitar. Okay, see it. Okay, Sean. Does this match?
Starting point is 01:43:35 Most likely it's not going to match the topic, but let's go. Go with him first so we can ask him. Go ahead. No, what is the question? Does the Mads Friar and Nico give Luca more closure on that chapter of his NBA career? It's like Pouti Tane, you can't hear it, but it sounds amazing. Sounds amazing, don't it? I was saying the same thing.
Starting point is 01:43:57 I'm like, damn, Maluka. Don't need no work. This is the kind of questions you get after you lose like that? That's insane. The Mabstriar and Nico give Luke a little bit more closure on that chapter. If somebody traded you, every time you got to think about them. The chapter was closed when they traded him. Yeah, but you still got to think about it.
Starting point is 01:44:14 No, he don't. He didn't have to. You got to see his teammate. No, it was the owner. He had to see that small market team beat their ass. These small market nicks coming in here. Won't you ask me something else so I can cheer this bitch up? He had the whole off season.
Starting point is 01:44:28 Oh, I'm going to do the river dance. I don't know. We go down. The river dance at that. The fans still support him. The fans still love it. Twelve years of slave. I'm 12 years of slaving it.
Starting point is 01:44:40 But you heard you heard Luca again say I thought I was going to spend my whole career there right. He's all career. Yeah, he's asked the question. Yeah, but I'm saying I'm in LA now much better city, obviously, by any metric. He only asked the shit because he was asked the question. Yeah. Trust me, nobody ever asked him again. He's not going to solicit answers about fucking Dallas.
Starting point is 01:44:54 I think he's not going to come out to a press conference and be like, man, I thought I was going to spend my whole fucking career in Dallas. Like, yeah, like, no, I never thought about going back to play there. Like, he ain't going to come out there and say that shit. He's only answering him because he was asked the question. Do you think who could care to him was a small market? He didn't close that chapter. Dallas is not really a small market.
Starting point is 01:45:12 It's not really a small market, is it? No, Dallas is not. Okay. Don't trust. Did he stay no further time? No, thank you. Man, like, do you, what was Lucas jersey sale in Dallas going to the championship? What was Lucas jersey sale in popularity?
Starting point is 01:45:29 Hold on. When he got drafted, the day he got drafted, don't mean the day he got traded, what happened to Luca Donchitz popularity and his jersey sale and his awareness? All right, well, let me give you all this thing. What number? Guess why? Why the Dallas Fort Worth market is not a small market. It's not a small market.
Starting point is 01:45:49 Because more, there's eight million people that live in this fucking metroplex. Yes. That's more than fucking, yeah, 40 states that live in the doubt. So Dallas is not a small market. Dallas fourth world. The fifth biggest market is. But I'm just saying, as a city, Dallas Fort Worth is a city. It's not a state.
Starting point is 01:46:08 We're talking about just the DFW. Metroplex, Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. There's more people that lived there than fucking like 40 states. One of the biggest airports I've ever seen in a lot. Yes. So therefore they're number five. They're number five and Atlanta's number eight. And what number is Lakers?
Starting point is 01:46:28 So he can see the two. So he went from five to two and the world shook. What if he went to New York? He's going, Judge. Then I'm again. Do it again. Do it again. Hit the motherfucker woman. Tell me when to hit it. Because you're going some good points.
Starting point is 01:46:45 Whoa. Again. Damn. Let me hit it again. Tell me when the what. Keep it. He'll be working together. Hang it.
Starting point is 01:46:51 They'll be working together. Tell me what you want to hit it. Hey, he'd be trying to save them. Hold on. Hey. Ow! Did you hit it first, Swagin. I thought you're doing your thing.
Starting point is 01:47:01 You did you do it first. Hey, fun fact. Hey, Paul, I played the violin before. Mm-hmm. I used to play the clarinet. I played the violin. Sixth grade. In the third grade, I played the five years.
Starting point is 01:47:13 I play this glue. You played the glue. I played with the glue. Right? I used to peel that shit off my hand. I used to love peeling that glue off my hand. Hot cross buns. It's the first song you learned.
Starting point is 01:47:24 That's why I know the song right. You're about to play hot cross buns. That's the first song they teach you. Mm-mm. I was just going to play a high-n-n-higgin-h-h-hid. Hide. Run, nigger, run. One of my favorite.
Starting point is 01:47:38 We got one last topic to discuss before we head out for this one. week. So recently the NBA announced that a record 135 international players from a record tying 43 countries were on opening night rosters to start this season. The 135 international players breaks the previous record of 125 such as in 2020, 23, 24
Starting point is 01:47:55 season. Canada leaves the way with 23 players. Gil's staring at me right now. 10 more. 10 more, Gil. That's 10 less American jobs. Canada leads away with 23 players including 2025 MVP Finals, MVP SGA. France coming in second with 19 players, wee, we. Also a
Starting point is 01:48:11 71 European players and all 30 teams had at least one international player on their roster. So according to the league, opening night rosters are featured at least 120 international players for the fifth consecutive season. Mr. B, what is nearly a third of the NBA being foreign players say about the state of the league? That the development in America, they better step their game up. AAU systems, high school, everything, because they're coming over here and they're been taken over. And they've been taken over. They've been taken over the last couple of five years. If we look at the MVP's and the champions
Starting point is 01:48:46 and everything like that, you know, I'm a big fan of high school basketball, but man, you know, if you can get an opportunity to go overseas for a couple years and develop, I mean, the way it's looking, it looks like that might be the route. But for American basketball, AAU programs, y'all better tune it up.
Starting point is 01:49:03 Y'all better really start dialing in and really start preparing these young guys because we see what's happening. You gotta just focus on offense. out here then. Focus on offense in America. It's all we got to do is focus on offense. Passing an offense.
Starting point is 01:49:20 I wish Americans got as much leeway as foreigners to the two. That's another thing. They get too many passes, bro. They would never do. If Camiga was from France, he would never be getting treated like that. From the Congo, I believe. Yeah. Where are you thinking from?
Starting point is 01:49:39 He's from Africa. He's from across the water. He's from over there. A bunch of it. Congo. The Democratic Republic of Congo. We get away. You think they get away with stuff?
Starting point is 01:49:56 Hell, man. Come on, man. Let an American do what Luca do. What Luke will be doing? We got one. Just be a great human. And you see how they treat James Hardin. What Luke will be doing? You see how they treat James Hardin?
Starting point is 01:50:08 It's hard. I see how y'all treat Kay Cunningham. What I do? Are we doing with Luca Duh? He out there playing. We just gave him doing shit. He didn't watch us. Hey, hit the thing again.
Starting point is 01:50:18 You know, I watched it. Not enough. You talk about one day. It's cool. I'm going to give him love. But. Talk about this. You want me here for you?
Starting point is 01:50:27 No, no, no. Hit the theme for you. You want me hit the thing? Did the artist become best friend? Who? Okay. I don't fuck you. You took my nach.
Starting point is 01:50:36 Nah, fuck you. You took my nachos. I'm not fin to sit here and listen to you eat chips and guac. I'm listening to y'all saying some dumb shit. Like, you already bad enough. I got to sit there and watch you fucking starbursts after starbursts after starburst and this nigga over here eat chocolate digging in line. You're two niggas over here just back and forth with the rappers.
Starting point is 01:50:53 You're sipping coffee and shit like this. Gangster going blowing fucking your coffee is hot. Take the hotness. As a gangster, you're supposed to be, let the shit burn your throat. The niggas said, take it. What's the shit? He didn't take the hotness.
Starting point is 01:51:11 What's the shit is that? Like gangster. I don't know what you, shit going down your throat. I don't know what you're talking about, man. There's been what a lot of doing. He said, let the hotness go down your throat. He's like that.
Starting point is 01:51:24 Let the hotness go down your throat. I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know what you're talking about. Now, you drink that motherfucker. But. Wait, so Kay don't play defense? I don't know. We were talking about international player.
Starting point is 01:51:40 Yeah. To Brandon's point, right? I don't know, he said Kate don't play. Well, whatever, man. Shit. He's from Dallas. Kay from Dallas, Arlington, to be exact. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:51:51 A fine city. Yeah. High school was a couple minutes from my house. But yes, Brandon, to your point. They need to step up their development game early. AAU basketball is becoming a detriment to these kids development. kids development. Man.
Starting point is 01:52:08 Nah. Developing and playing the game the right way and not idolizing and not putting a big spotlight on guys that's just going out and chucking shots and shooting threes. That's not what they're doing in Europe and those guys, it's been the thing. What's they doing in Europe? IQ. Are they playing the game the right way? They're studying the history of basketball.
Starting point is 01:52:30 They play fundamentally sound basketball. History. All right. All right. No, no, no, no, no. Hold on, Nick. I know what you got to say. Actually, I wasn't motherfucking done talking.
Starting point is 01:52:42 Like, to be fucking honest. This you nigga just want to argue in this bitch. Well, I'm talking. The fuck. Like, to break the point, they are, our kids are behind when it comes to that part of the game. Because of that, the things that are being glorified, social media and media and things like that was being glorified. what's being glorified is not the fundamentals of the game of basketball, playing the game the right way.
Starting point is 01:53:11 They do that shit at an early age, 12, 13, that's why guys can start playing professionally like Luca at such a young age, because he has a fundamental background and then you develop all the other things and the bad habits later. Us, we develop bad habits first and then try to go to fundamentals. Don't fucking work that way. And the European guys are passing our ass up because of that. And the NBA are looking to those guys to fill those voice because the game is expanding.
Starting point is 01:53:46 They got one international play on every roster. And I guarantee if it's not a coach from over there on every roster, it's damn near a coach for every roster from over there. Are we glorifying their top players or the rest of the Europeans? There's only six, seven top guys from over there. 135. And named... No, for sure.
Starting point is 01:54:07 And what's the... There's only four stars. Name them. Four stars. Five. Five. Five. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:13 Five. Okay. What about the other motherfuckers? What are they doing? 132 guys. What are they doing? 132 other Europeans. What are they doing?
Starting point is 01:54:24 They're doing it. They're doing it. They're taking over. Nick. They're taking over. Shangoon. Nick. Those spots.
Starting point is 01:54:31 No, the spots he talking about is the corner boy's spots that actually know how to plug and play they understand rotation and all that. What was Spencer didn't we consider? Hold on. If we did that. What was Spencer Denner, we'd consider? Would you consider Spencer Denwood, a corner nigga? Yeah. Where he at now? Oversees. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:54:47 If he was foreign, he would be in the state. The point I'm making is somebody from Europe has his spot. And where he they switch spots. Somebody from Europe has his spot. Because they give him, they get foreigners more than our own. No. He is running. No.
Starting point is 01:55:03 Man, yes. You just ask the question. Would you consider the Spencer did with a quarter-nigger? Yes. So right now, there are 132-corner Europeans in the NBA. Not the stars. Corner Europeans. 132-corner Europeans.
Starting point is 01:55:16 They get more leeway than us. Corner internationals. They get way more leeway than us. No, there ain't leeway if you already had the spot, you had the spot. You had the spot. But you had the spot. Because you're giving it to them. You don't criticize them.
Starting point is 01:55:29 Who's giving it to them? Wait, wait, Nick. Spencer had a spot. They don't say nothing bad. about Luca, all he do is scoring. Who don't? Joker's a bet. He don't play.
Starting point is 01:55:38 Who don't? Stay gone too. Luke don't play defense. But if somebody was American doing the same thing, oh, he don't play defense. Because, guess what? James Hart. Do Wimby played defense?
Starting point is 01:55:48 Do Wemby play defense? Do Wemby play defense? I'd be pointing out the motherfucker that 7-7. Come on, man. Just ask you a question. Does Wemby play defense? Stop. Name anybody else.
Starting point is 01:55:58 Do Yonis? Do Yonis play defense? Now to keep naming. Two. Did She play defense? The same way, let me go on, keep going now. I'm asking you. Say yes.
Starting point is 01:56:08 Say yes. That's three. That's through the top of my guy. Did you say yes to three? I'm not going to say any more. Those five. Those three, like I said, those three. Those are three people.
Starting point is 01:56:16 One, two, three. They got three out of the five. Three out of the top five. Three out of the top five. I can name three. Well, there's a defensive team. Like I said, name me three American players that do what they do.
Starting point is 01:56:30 Name me three American players that do what they do. Name me three American players that do what they do. I don't play better defense, Nick. Nick, you don't play better defense. Are we talking who? I'm just saying. Name me three American players that do with these other three of his name. Both Canadians.
Starting point is 01:56:42 Come on, man. All right. Hold on. Hold on. Let's hear it, Nick. We're going to put you on the spot. Got it. Name me three American players that do what Wemby, Yonis, and Shea do.
Starting point is 01:56:52 Both sides of the ball. Oh, no, it's both sides of the ball. That's what you just said. That's what you just said. No, no, he said both sides. Please name me three. He said to do what they do, period. Please name me three.
Starting point is 01:57:01 Well, nobody can do what Yonis does. Please name me three. So the point that I'm making you, nobody can name you what, oh. Okay, we're taking two, three minutes to do this. What Winby does. Look on your phone. Y'all go look on your phones and figure it out because y'all can't name me three. The point, I have the point.
Starting point is 01:57:16 The point we're making is Brandon, geez. Like, yes. Please tell me. Who could do what we do? No. I have a seven-year-old, right? That he's, he's in love with the game of basketball. And I told my wife, if he's continued at this trajectory with his love and compassion for the game of basketball,
Starting point is 01:57:31 when he becomes 14, 15, 16, We're going to really consider getting the fuck out of here and going somewhere else. Don't need you. Right? Don't need you. No, I'm saying, but I'm just saying if the game continues the way that you have to go to consider it. You've got to because they give more respect.
Starting point is 01:57:47 No, we'll get more respect. They develop in a different way. It's bigger than just basketball. It's more for life for him to go out there and experience something in life. Y'all can't name three motherfuckers. It's weird to me. Name them who can be like security. It's weird to me.
Starting point is 01:58:05 Name what it would be like Michael Jordan. Name me. American players. Name me three American players. Name you're talking to you. Name me three. Name me three players that can play like to kill O'Neil over there in history. Oh, Kobe Bryant.
Starting point is 01:58:22 They're not playing right now. They're not playing right now. Kevin Doran. They're not playing right now. They're not playing right now. They're not playing now. Jeff and Gurry. No.
Starting point is 01:58:30 How can your name paid them? Nope. No. Maran you can't on the car Derek Rose Yeah can't why we get so loud Can we talk about real out? If we're talking who here is reality
Starting point is 01:58:42 Wow who there's a There's a hundred and what 135 international players A hundred and one there's a hundred thirty-five Nearly nearly third of the room God I let you I didn't speak for 30 fucking minutes We know you had nothing to say I have some When you get cooked just slow roast
Starting point is 01:59:01 I can't sit there You don't know my point. And just roast. Now, here's reality. There's 100 what? 135 international players. 85% of them are what color? Just go.
Starting point is 01:59:13 What color do you think they are? Okay. Color? Yeah, no. Color, man. Just. Those ships made a lot of stuff until they came to America. So the difference between reality and just narrative is there's 134 of them.
Starting point is 01:59:30 The difference is. the guys that are in this league are sitting at a certain height, right? So what they're doing over there is they're breeding better. They're breeding three, four, five that's sitting at six, ten, to seven something. So majority, high 90% of the international players that's in the NBA, their advantage is they are 610 and above with guard skills. our guards here have guard skills athleticism
Starting point is 02:00:06 speed that they can't keep up with what they're doing over there is we're teaching our bigs to be bigs they're teaching their guards to be guards so at an early age Janus Yokic Wagner Tony Kooch Sabonis Anderson
Starting point is 02:00:26 in their development even though they're the tallest kid They're working on guard skills. They're working just like a point guard. So if they do get tall, you see what they're doing. So when you're looking at the game, we've seen Tony Kukhuch. We've seen Vladi DeVox. What skill did they have?
Starting point is 02:00:45 Passing. They can pass the ball. They can do all this. We didn't understand it then. We didn't understand what they were yet, but you can see the attributes that they had. So bonus, we've seen the attributes that what he had. We had a Turkle loop. We've seen the advantage Turk has.
Starting point is 02:01:03 Someone got smart and said, wait a minute. If we can put them at the four or five, they can expand the court. We have a whole different game. See, so we're taking away from your just brute fours that set screens that do this. We want someone who can be a power for it in a center that can play guard. Yonis, you're not a traditional power forward. Fuck all that posting up. Grab the ball and beat our point forward for you to have this advantage.
Starting point is 02:01:35 Wagner, shit, you can be our shooting guard because you can shoot the ball and defend. That's the difference here. We just got to breed better. We got to sit here and breathe like their breath. I'm trying to figure out when the fuck did they get so tall. But it's their height. They're bringing over the height that we just can't keep up within our, in our, what's the name? Our Cooper flag, their Cooper flag, our Cooper flags, that's why.
Starting point is 02:01:58 All of them over there. I know. I know. So don't you think we should do that over here with our development? As far as like with AAU, the fact that now they're, you know, they're, like our big should be learning guard stuff. Yes. So, yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:10 I mean, but it's, it is development. Like, it's not the, that's why when you look at their five, all, it's the same people. When we say, put 10 of them together, where's Bobo from? You're trying to put 10 centers. Where's Bobo from? Same thing. He's, that is it, they're, they got the height.
Starting point is 02:02:27 Like I said, y'all want to. I'm breathing, man. Go get that snow. There's snow in Sweden, all slow. You know what I'm saying? Go over there to get some of that French shit over there. It's a lot of shit you need to be breeding with. You won't get one of them nice little seven-footers with a jump shot.
Starting point is 02:02:41 Yeah, that's right. And on that note, that's right here. I got a huge seven-year. I know, but I was going to say that. But why you said, well, you heard me when I said, you ain't got to go nowhere. You're five. Yeah. It's enormous.
Starting point is 02:02:53 Yeah, you have six, nine, six, ten jumping out the jail or shit. Are you good? Yeah. No, but that's why I said once you start paying attention to the Euro start watching Euro basketball, and you can see the other kid that's coming over where, what school is at? A kid of Virginia Tech, or no, no. The 6-9 point guard.
Starting point is 02:03:10 That looks like Luca? Yeah. He's, God damn. He's a French. He's a French kid. Neo. Yeah, like, that's what they're breeding. They're breathing.
Starting point is 02:03:19 So their small forwards can play real point guard. So when he comes here, he's a point guard at 6'9. Yeah. Like that's... Yeah. Skill set. Their skill set is very different. They start working on early.
Starting point is 02:03:32 Yep. We have athleticism, so we skip steps. Like, oh, I can dunk in eighth grade, so forget all the small boys. That's why they cut out the school. That's why they be cutting out the school. The tour days, huh? Over there. They also do them a chance to develop.
Starting point is 02:03:45 No, but it's not the one, two, threes. We're still dominant in that because of the speed and the athleticism, right? That four and five where our speed and athleticism matches. They have skills. They give them time. They give them time. It's learned. That was it.
Starting point is 02:04:04 They give them time. See that full circle? You went to North Carolina. You can't teach you a motherfucker to jump 40 inches. That's genetics. Yeah. They're called a vertemax. I don't give them.
Starting point is 02:04:19 You can put. What's it called ply metrics? Yeah, you can. It ain't going to help. Plymeters don't help. You can get about an inch? It ain't a bit about an inch? And ain't a bar of science.
Starting point is 02:04:28 They got a place called P3 up there. They teach the five. Your son do what? A cash is what? Huh? I'm going to fuck. How many calf races my son do? He's not going to put his head on a rim one day.
Starting point is 02:04:42 Like you'll say. And on that note, let us move on to mostly fans. Presented by our friends, an underdog. Download Abuse promo code Guild. Get $100 of bonus entries when you play your first $5. win or lose. So we have one question from underdog user.
Starting point is 02:05:00 Jay the HNIC, 25, not to be confused with the other 24J, the HNICs. Jay to HNIC 25 said, of these calls, which one do the refs avoid enforcing the most? Travel, moving pick,
Starting point is 02:05:15 carry, or over the back? Gary. Carrie. Carry. Carry for short. Carrey. He said, what? Which one?
Starting point is 02:05:23 Of these calls, which one do you? Who are they choose overlooked? Avoid it. All that shit. Which one they choose overlooked the most? Got me. Travel, movie pick, carrier, over the bear. But yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:33 Yeah, it's every possession. You look that motherfucker. Back. Nick's calling the plate. Back. This shit's the wording, but I didn't know, no, no, no. This shit was so. Carrying out.
Starting point is 02:05:43 No, R-carrying is the carry. No, I got one better for you. I got one better for you. How about three seconds? Never call that shit offensively. Three seconds? When the last time you've seen them do? I don't know.
Starting point is 02:05:59 When that time you've seen them call? I forgot that was in high school. Hey, Rudy, when they didn't pass on the ball and he just said this. I would have did the same thing. I did the same thing. But I think it's Carrie. Yeah. I think it's Carrie.
Starting point is 02:06:12 You know I would. Because they do it every position. Everybody drivet that motherfucker. Traveling. Everybody get that bitch Carrie. A man, James Harder was traveling for like three years straight, wasn't he? No. It was him.
Starting point is 02:06:23 She was like, what is him? that. Yeah, but that ain't a fucking travel. Just how many times he cared to get to the travel. Man. That's how many bringing the niggas start pressing them, niggas will pick that. Niggins start fucking up the Euro step. Why if they start fucking that shit up?
Starting point is 02:06:37 That hesitation? This shit here? One, two, three, four. How are you just dying five people and no trouble? Nigger, run at you and hesitate and pit hand up under that bitch. Like, no, that's... Melody used to do that shit too. Katie, too.
