Welcome back to Gilles Arena presented by underdog.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
All right, you said that too strong.
Swaggy, why are you always oppressive you?
You came back from trying to a different man.
Yeah, because you got to, you know.
She's need, peace and tranquility.
This changed all this shit.
Just call it something else.
A little clock.
Say a little clock or something.
Don't fix your mouth to say watch.
But this is Gills Arena, presenting my underdog, whoop-whoop.
I'm merely a host, Josiah Johnson.
We're joined by NBA Champion of the World.
The spiritually enlightened just returned back from hanging with the monks in China six-time.
NBA champion of the world, Swaggy Pete, Nick, yeah.
It didn't get in a while, so you got to bring it in.
Okay.
Always made eye contact those, Swaggy, even when you bow.
You're right.
See?
That's that Bruce Lee.
Thanks to Swaggy, representing tough crowd,
car carrying country club member,
also the purveyor of tough crowd golf.
We got Mr. B. Brandon Jennings here with him.
And representing the Spurs and Victor Wamba Wamba,
the man they call Cemetery Larry, NCAA champion in the world,
Dr. Rashob McCamp's Ph.G.
The double.
Shout out to the production crew, always ready.
Don't be mad.
They're always ready.
They're always ready.
Yes, Hulk Hogan, Lex Lugar.
Yes.
We got a lot of things to discuss.
Here's what's cracking in Gills Arena today.
The Cavs reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2018.
It got hit with the broom.
Should Cleveland run it back with Donovan Mitchell and James Hardin?
And should they add some potential other free agents, big name stars,
some Greco Nigerians perhaps?
We will discuss.
Adam Silver addressed flopping and foul baiting,
but said the NBA's officiating has been incredible.
Is he spitting or tripping?
And the league is set to vote on anti-tanking draft lottery reform.
But will it really stop teams from tanking a lot of new initiatives, fines, penalties, can't get number one picked two years in a row?
We'll see what it'll do for the league.
But before we get into all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog.

This might be the last night of the conference finals.
We will see.
You might lose with that cold.
No Scott Foster on the docket.
There may not be extensions.
What's the code again?
You might lose with that.
If you can't watch the show live with us on YouTube, we got all of you.
on YouTube. We got audio versions available on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcast.
So we're going to start this show on the high school basketball circuit.
Kendrick Perkins found himself in a heated situation at an AAU tournament this weekend involving his son's team.
Let's take a look at the video if we can.
So, TMZ Sports attained video of the incident involving Perkins and a coach from an opposing squad
during an AU game at the Trey Young Family Athletic Center in Norman, Ohio.
Shout out to Trey Young.
And the family I let her send her.
What?
He from Ohio?
Or Oklahoma, excuse me.
Norman, Oklahoma.
Trey is from Oklahoma.
I was just so overcome by the video, Swaggy.
Refusing my states.
Perkins and the coach had to be restrained as they exchanged unpleasentries
following a chippy game between their two squads.
So Big Perk made an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show Wednesday to address the situation
and give his side of the story.
Well, in the tournament, it's a heated game, you know, 17 you.
They're going back and forth with them.
We end up winning the game.
All right, cool.
Well, the other team, they have, they had this guy that's like seven foot, 400 pounds.
Jesus.
After the game, he comes and he body slams one of my kids that play for my team.
So I stay seated.
Then I get up because everybody running around the guys, the players, they're about to fight.
So as a responsible, you know, owner of the organization, I get up and I'm like,
Hey, man, y'all need to chill.
You know, X, Y, Z, I'm grabbing my players.
I tell the coach of the other team, I'm like, hey, bro, get your players.
I got mine.
He pop off.
And I ain't getting nothing.
I ain't getting nothing.
Who the hell of you?
I'm like, bro, just get your players so I can get mine.
We can get up out of here.
He said it.
He got smart with me again.
That's when I got pissed off.
I'm like, I'm like, bro, who the hell are you talking to?
Man, I'm talking to you.
So then all of a sudden, you know, boo, boo, boo, boo, boo, boo, boo, boo.
Now, what people didn't see was after that, we had a little exchange, yeah, they held us back or whatever.
They held them back, held me back.
And then afterwards, we dabbled up.
He said, my bad, I said my bad, and we kept it moving.
Okay, so, Swaggy said that does happen at the AU tournament.
So what's your thoughts on Big Park getting active at an AU tournament?
It happens.
I was in the bay, you know, with the kids and stuff.
They had a tournament out there.
It was in the hood, you know, and stuff like that happened.
You know, when they see the NBA player on the other side,
they try to get their little 15 minutes of fame.
So I can see that happening.
You know, kids from the Valley got in their first fight in the bay.
My son ran over.
I was proud of my son being the first one to run to his teammate and help.
So I got up like, hey, man, no, he ain't doing this.
It's the bay.
You got to make it out of here.
You got to leave, be able to leave.
Then the coaches, you know.
What part of the base is why I guess?
Oakland.
The town.
And it's in the hood.
Town business.
Town business.
They circling around, you know, like the old hood, high school games.
It was all in there.
Throwing up every sign.
First they started off taking pictures, then it went from pictures to fuck you swaggy type.
I'm like, all right.
It got real aggressive.
It got real aggressive.
I'm like, all right.
Look at your picture, man.
Your picture, man.
Fuck you, no, for real.
So I can see that definitely happening, for sure, for sure.
Happening just like that.
So I commend Perk for not, you know, throwing no punches.
He's a big guy.
He could have threw these people off him if he really wanted action.
I don't know, seven foot 400 pound.
Center on the other side.
The Y is on play now.
A little bit exaggerated.
400?
Yeah.
The way he was moving in that video, don't sound like the shit he was seeing in the video.
Can we see the video again, please?
The way he moving in that video, it don't sound like Perk was being nice in that exchange.
Right?
Just get your players.
Just get your players and let me get my players.
We're going to go over here and you go over there.
That doesn't look like that's what you would say.
Well, you know.
But think about it, you see one of your players get slammed.
You should say, hey.
Son, man, what if it was your son?
I think I could see it.
Right, that's what I'm saying.
Put your dukes up.
You can get low.
Right.
Don't let nobody slam.
You get low, nigga.
Remember I told you to get low.
You just let her body's leg.
It could have been unexpected too, though.
Seven foot. You can see the kid, I believe in the background
of that video, he does look mighty huff.
Hey, want to let a nigga let you go, hit him in the balls.
That's not tell him that.
Go ahead. You'll let you go.
You'll let you go.
Blishther do you, Mr. B., what do you thought?
Some big perk getting active at an AU tournament
heard his side of the story.
At least it ended peacefully.
They daft up.
I mean, I love it.
I mean, I think that's needed more.
I mean, if that's his organization and knows his kids,
and if somebody did get body slam,
that's the first thing that you go do.
You go protect your team.
Far as, like, a lot of people that are at these AAU games
and they see NBA players and they say a lot of slick stuff to them,
you know, I just find it funny, you know,
because that's just things that they do, like coaches and, you know,
guys who are, if it's a coach, if it's a coach,
If as a parent talking crazy as a Kendrick Perkinson or NBA players saying, oh, your career wasn't like this or like that, it's kind of really, you know, not relevant because, I mean, you know, I kind of look at people that are who are these AAU coaches that never did make it, that, you know, you have to live your life through other kids to make it.
So, you know, a lot of these AAU coaches out here that never touched that hardwood floor on the NBA court, got to relax a little bit.
You know, if you didn't have jury across your chest, I think you kind of got to relax as an AAU coach.
and just do your job and get your kids.
Now, as far as AAU, I mean, AAU is life of death, man, to a lot of these kids.
I mean, every week you've got to go out there and you've got to compete.
And it's been life of death since I was 11 years old.
So I know by the time you get 17, you know, you're going to college the next year.
And like myself, I've been played at the highest level since 11 when it came to AAU.
So this happens all the time.
This is nothing new.
you know usually you know we see chairs getting thrown all type of things so this was kind of like
well they had cameras back in a day yeah yeah yeah i mean ball is life and all that hoop mixtape
all that stuff was still there um but no shout to perk and um yeah that's different nowadays though
$20 for parking 20 $60 for a $20 for you got to be very very judicial you're not acting like
you broke man but yeah back in the day you could just walk in the day you could just walk in
Now they got making them shit all kinds of stuff.
Now I ain't gonna front the parking park is $100.
Wrist bands parking for the weekend.
I went to one.
It was like a game for the weekend.
Yeah, $100.
Got multiple kids.
They play at different gyms and you gotta pay each parking each.
Teach your kid another sport.
It's decreased parking in other sports.
Or or-
Or-
Or-
How about this?
Your son just ain't good enough.
We gotta miss out this weekend.
Stop forcing.
Yeah, we gotta miss out this weekend.
paying $100 in your ass ain't playing.
We got to miss out this weekend, son.
You're going to the chess club.
Yeah, like something else.
Let's go play some golf.
I don't know.
There ain't no parking over here.
It's free parking.
If your son is trash and you're paying that.
Yeah, just your son is trash.
Just because you want to see.
You want to see y'all at the game.
Like, man, Nick Young will be at the game.
We're going to go, I'm going to get his autograph.
Son, look, you're not playing this weekend.
Are you nice?
You not.
You're nice.
You're not nice.
17 you?
They really like 18, 19.
They got some men.
Yeah.
They said they're 17 of you, but they two-year hell back slamming your son.
No, but I heard now in AAU, if you're a kid that's a freshman that's playing,
and he's 15 and he plays for his varsity team, he has to play 15 and under now.
Like, they don't let a kid, like, go up anymore.
I've seen that.
I think that's-talking about that.
That's crazy.
I think that's the most dumbest thing ever.
Like, because you're playing freshman as varsity, right?
Yeah.
Okay, so when you turned, when AAU came, did you play?
your own age or did you play 17 and under?
As a freshman
in high school? Yeah.
Shit, I was...
I'm having my high school team too, man.
No, I play 16s.
Okay, so you play 16?
Because I was younger. I was, I went up.
They had that back in the day?
16s.
16.
Yeah, 16 and 16? Yeah, 16. It was 16. It was big.
But Houston, who... Remember Houston who's back in the day?
No, we played them. 15.
I played Perk. That's how I know Perk.
Perk was in him and in the evening.
If you were in varsity, you play everybody.
You're talking about in high school, right?
Yeah.
So for your high school team, right, if you're 15, so as a freshman,
long as you play varsity, you could play anybody, like, in the off season, in the tournament and all that.
Yeah, but did you play in your age group or did you play up?
That's what I'm saying.
So when you was 15, what age group did you play?
It wasn't no age group, but I don't feel like.
I played for the pumps.
So what age group was that, though?
I don't know.
Yeah, yours was a little.
You was 14. You had to be freshman year 14.
I didn't play my freshman year.
So 15 was the sophomore year.
Okay. So for me, my freshman year, I played varsity.
When AAU came, I played 17 and under.
I didn't go back down and play 14.
Yeah. So that's what I'm saying.
So they had 17 and under back in the day.
So they went and got Brandon to play 17 because he was good enough as a freshman.
So even if they had the ABCD and all that back then.
Yes.
So they didn't have no age group for that.
I thought it was like, you know, no, that's what I'm saying.
Same shit.
Yeah, but that's good.
But the AAU tournaments are different where you can still, like, him being good enough to play with 17s would be cheating for him to play 15s.
I'm about saying, could be.
Right, and that's what they do now.
So if you're a freshman and you play varsity, they make you play your own age.
So a 15 can't, they say it's a waste of time for him to play 17.
Like Cooper Flag, like Cooper Flag playing against third guys.
Taylor King, Taylor King.
Shut off the Taylor King.
He was in the eighth grade playing with us on the pumps against the last.
Yeah, that's how good he was.
So that's what we're saying.
That's why I didn't feel like it, I didn't know if it was like an age group, 16 and
100.
Oh yes, no.
Yeah, they have 16, then they have 17.
The Atlanta Celtics, that always felt like an oxymor to me, but obviously a great A.
U program.
Man.
Shia, what's the craziest thing you see and go down at the A.
Craziest thing?
I ain't really see no, because I don't be going to the AU ships.
I mean, last one I went to was Russ Restbrook did the EYBL up at the, uh, uh, uh,
Sports Academy, probably like 2017.
But even like when you were playing, was there anything?
Nah.
Everything was, you were huffed back then, so.
Yeah, I mean, we was just running shit.
We wouldn't, no fights and none of that shit.
Who you played for?
Charlie, Royals.
Oh.
Who?
Charlotte Royals.
I don't know who that is.
I played in the Bob Gibbons tournament back there.
You had to be really good to be in Bob Gibbons, Bo Williams.
Like really, really good.
Like really, really like.
You never played for SoCal.
Are you crazy?
You wasn't with Sokow.
He wasn't with Sokow.
He wasn't with so cow.
He wasn't over there with us.
He wasn't over there with us.
They ABD.
Who?
DeWi Howard?
The White Howard, John Smith,
Dea Dei Adidas.
Point guard, Randall.
Yeah.
Randolph.
Randolph.
Y'all beat the White Howard and Josh Smith.
Yeah, for the Celtic.
Y'all didn't beat Dwight Hart and Josh Smith.
With KG and him.
I can't think of his name.
Rondo?
Yeah, Rondo.
Rondo.
They had all of them in.
Valley.
Yeah.
Y'all-in-who's your team?
Me, Join Form are, um...
That was right after me, that was right after me.
Alanna Seltas.
Lomada.
You were on that squad?
Yeah, yeah.
Shout out to Lorenzo Mata.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Alanna Seltas might be the country.
What was the name of your team?
So I don't know.
Pump and Run.
Oh, you was on pump.
Yeah, we didn't play his Adidas.
We didn't play y'all.
They didn't go that far.
They weren't that good.
It wasn't that good.
Pump and run every turn.
Pump and duck smoke.
You go to the pump.
You go to the pump.
You go to the pump.
brothers, but the punk owners just the duck smoke.
He goes to the pump ceremony area.
That's why I did beat the Atlanta Celtics.
OK.
Y'all weren't beat in T.
Y'all wasn't beat in the T.
They used to duck smoke.
They were so scared us, SCA.
You was not rocking with S-Ca.
Y'all never came to Bob Givens.
Y'all never was at Houston tournaments.
None of that.
Y'all was never in the smoke.
How'd he beat the Atlanta Celtics if he wasn't in there?
Because y'all went to Vegas.
And they was the number one.
That was the number one.
That was the biggest.
That's the only one of tournament.
They went to them to Vegas.
That's what the street.
That's down the street.
They ain't never went to the East Coast and got with them.
Who was on your team?
Who was on my team?
Yes.
Because I had five NBA players on my team.
Me, Kevin Love, Taylor King, Ronaldo Sidney.
Oh, wow.
Malik Story.
Daniel Hackett that went to SC.
Yeah.
I forgot with that.
Yeah.
Right there.
Tons Gibson.
Yeah.
Hmm.
Tons was like that?
Yeah.
38 no.
I know y'all was cheating.
Todd was 22 as a freshman year.
It was 22 years old as a freshman.
I don't care.
I don't care.
I don't care.
Tiles was the old head.
I don't care.
Tiles looked fine to us.
He had a ball head.
Hey, he aged early.
So what?
You care about, he's got nothing to do with him?
Nah, not with a ghost dude.
Not with the book.
You got a big.
You can't have a whole beard with the ball head.
With the ball head and 14, bro.
All right, well, let's keep this day moving.
Appreciate you doing.
That's funny.
Shout out of AAU days.
Hon it down.
That's my dog.
Explaining the situation, she does it for the kids, has his AAU program out there.
Yeah.
You know what I see?
Shout out.
White kids is nervous.
Back down memory.
That's not going to be like a culture shock for some kids too, seeing all that.
That's what it's supposed to be though.
You're supposed to see all the top players.
You're like, yo.
Right out and grab her son and they're like.
Did you ever go to Disney World?
This is so ghetto.
She said this is so ghetto.
Y'all got to go to Disney World?
Huh?
You got to go to Disney World?
That was 13 and 100.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That was Nationals.
I was on the 10th.
I didn't know about all that.
Orlando.
Orlando.
My bad, I never played 14.
No, I'm saying, we're too good to even know about that time.
I'm saying, were you good enough to go to Orlando and play?
So national.
To national.
National.
National.
That 14 years old.
I saw Tariq Evans early.
Everybody, me, bro.
Me, DeMarr.
all, Drew Holiday, everybody, we all there.
You're all there?
Were you good enough to go?
Only reason y'all played.
I made this cool.
Y'all came after me.
I didn't know about no 14, 16.
It's been around since forever.
What you mean?
I never knew about it.
I was too good.
I was just playing.
Just take me there.
You was just too good.
Too good.
Shout out to Cocoa, bitch.
You didn't start until your song for a year.
You didn't make it so.
You didn't start to your sophomore year, bro.
You was too good.
You would have been playing in seventh grade.
I was on the street.
I was playing in seventh grade.
I was on the street.
It was like,
Where are you playing?
I was a hot sauce.
Ain't no way.
You're 12 years old.
Ain't no way you're 12.
Robite.
See me dripping the ball.
Say, man, you want a hoop.
That's all.
My dad, where is his birth certificate?
Game to Jackie P.
Shout out.
In no way.
He's 12.
Dunking like that.
No.
Let's keep this.
They're moving.
Back to the NBA.
Let's move back to the NBA.
Cavs reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2018.
And the first time with that.
out LeBron since 1992, proceeded to get absolutely embarrassed in a sweep by the Knicks,
started in game one when they blew a 22.4th quarter lead and got outscored 44-11 from that
point on in that game, ended with a 37-point loss on their home floor with Knicks fans
taking over the arena and chanting Knicks in four did not let Fadjo say courtside.
So after Cleveland got eliminated, Donovan Mitchell had this to say.
No doubt that this group can get there.
I've said that all year.
I think the biggest thing is you just use as a learning lesson.
It's a tough learning lesson.
But now we know, right?
I mean, that's not how I like to say things, but, you know what I mean?
We know.
You know what I mean?
And this team that we just faced had to go through this.
Maybe not this way, right?
But every day, they've been together.
They've been a group and had to go through this tough experience.
So this is our turn.
And I'm sorry for the city of Cleveland for it to be like this in a sweep.
That's ass.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
But I told you all last year and I'll say, I again, we'll be back and we'll be ready
and we'll be hungry and be locked in.
But yeah.
That's ass.
We hear our lone cabs fan clapping, saluting.
Donovan Mitchell got out of the second round first time in his career.
Cavs finished the playoffs with an 8 and 10 record,
which was literally the worst possible record you could have
reaching the conference finals.
But they played every other day since April 29th,
so after their first two series both went seven games,
heading into that conference finals.
But as Donovan Mitchell admitted,
the Cav's unfavorable postseason schedule
was the result of then not being able to close out
their first two series faster.
Hmm?
Wow.
What?
number one option, got to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Do you consider this Cavs season to be a success despite getting swept in that Eastern
Conference Finals?
No.
I'm not going to call it success because they went all in to try to make a finals run by trading
Garland, who was younger, and they went and got James Hardin.
So they didn't reach the finals.
So, no, it's not a success.
Donovan Mitchell also didn't show that he's a number one option on a championship team
because he just let James Harden.
he was looking to James Harden for to take over and this is his team.
And that's been the biggest, the biggest thing we've been talking about since day one since I've been on here.
And you want to be a superstar and you want all these things.
But when it comes down to it, you over here looking at James Hardin.
If I'm the Cleveland Cavaliers, they're probably going to extend James Hardin, which, I mean, I will let them walk.
I would probably trade, I'm looking to trade everybody at this point because we're in a position where we're in a position where we
can't do anything. Our future is cooked. We have the highest pay row. So we're just kind of looking
like it's time to rebuild at this point now because if we run it back next year, well,
Detroit's going to be better. The Knicks are going to be better. Depending on where Yanis
go, if he stay on the east, you better hope he, if he go to Miami, they're going to be better.
The Celtics are going to be better. The Hornets, the Hawks. So all these teams are going to be
better. So if you're looking for the future, the future.
is cooked. Like they're really, they just really just cooked themselves and going to the Eastern
Conference Finals getting swept, I mean you didn't show anything. So we, you know you're not
going to get back there next year because teams are coming back better. So I think they're
cooked. If I'm looking at the Cuban Cavaliers, I'm trying to rebuild and I'm not giving
Donovan Mitchell an extension. And if you do, then you're going to have to try to go find a number
one option and I don't even think you can do that. So go ahead. Yeah.
Some harsh criticism right there.
Go ahead.
Now let's move over to this side of the country.
You see you're irritated.
That was very passionate.
I mean, go look at the payroll.
Mr. B., earlier in the postseason,
you were close to potentially issuing an apology to Donald.
You said sorry.
But that was prior to the conference finals.
Like I said, blew that 22-point lead in game one.
Did not win a game for the remainder of that series.
I mean, I get James Hart as a Hall of Famer,
but this is your team.
Let's move over.
Do you consider this Cavs season to be a success Eastern Conference Final's first time since 2018, despite getting swept by the New York Knickerbockers?
It's Cleveland, man.
It's Cleveland. Cleveland never see success again unless LeBron come back.
LeBron is there.
LeBron is success for Cleveland, like in all sports, even the Indians, which I don't think they're the Indians no more, right?
They are the guardians.
The guardians.
Yeah, man, what was a dude named Tyson?
He said it was in Donovan Mitchell City now.
And we tried to rally behind Donovan Mitchell and his ability, his skill set, his superstar, capabilities and potential.
But getting swept, it's not all on you.
Of course not.
It's a team sport.
Your team got to show up.
But the leadership and the onus is on you.
you for sure.
So, you know, the press conference don't mean much when you apologize and then this is the
second time you're saying the same thing as far as, you know, my bad and we're going to
come back next year and nobody really want to hear that shit.
Except for the Cleveland fans.
They get optimistic quick.
Yeah, Chase Arden.
Alonzo Ball.
It's like you give them anybody they ready to go.
But I mean it's unfortunate man, you know they worked hard
Kenny Ackison is an assistant coach. They need a real real coach
You don't know what fuck he doing one then you got James Harden like he was saying which is is a great take
You can't be over there trying to get a ball to him when you the guy
He did it I don't know why you're saying he did in the last game because they was blown out in the first quarter
But majority of the other games, he was looking and deferring.
But remember what we said when they made the trade, I said,
you don't need James Harden to come in and play point guard for a guy who's already trying to play point guard.
He already doing everything.
When Garland was down, he was handling everything.
He kept them afloat.
So what they needed was some other intangible pieces that can do with Dean Wade.
Yep.
What he can't do, he was a liability out there.
Max Trues came in
I mean but what do you want Max Truce to do
This is Max Truce
Like he's a sixth
seventh man on the Miami Heat
He's not a guy you come in and be like
Yo
Stavis
They was depending on him
So then you look at Mowbly and Allen
And it's like that's
That ship has sailed as far as depending on them
To be intrical pieces
To winning something
They disappear and show up
Whenever the fuck they want
to. Like, I don't know if Jared Allen need to shape up, line up, get some braids, change
that whole look. He's back in the 70s or something. On the wudding on. No, but we saw it
last year, though. No, you didn't. Yes, we did. Did they not quit last year? Did they not
quit last year? No, did they not quit last year? It was. It was not quit last year.
No. He talked about the Cleveland Cavaliers. Did the Cleveland Cavalier? He talked about as a team.
Last year, Garland didn't even play. Mowbly was hurt. They set out because of what? What he
Not him. Not him. He almost won the dude's name. Number 12.
Man, that's stopped. From Atlanta, they traded for. Can we stop playing with Donald and
Mr. Hunter? It was Hunter. DeAndre Hunter. He stopped. What you mean? What you want us to do with it?
Come on, man. We gave him credit for being potential superstar. No, he's not a potential superstar. He's a star.
Okay, he's a star. Okay, cool. Can he stop? Okay, cool.
What else you want? He didn't defer to James. He's not. He shot more shots.
and everybody on the team, every game.
I'm glad you clear that up.
He's not a superstar.
He's just a star, right?
No.
How much he average this?
Second team all NBA.
He's second team all in.
He's definitely a superstar.
He's top 10.
He's top 10.
He's a superstar.
I said he was a superstar.
He's a superstar.
So let's stop playing.
I'm asking.
But look, what do you talk about us?
James Hardin and scored more than 20 points
only five games doing this whole goddamn play.
What do we bring him here for?
They scored more than 20 points, each game.
Right.
To facilitate.
He fucking got killed all.
He got killed every playoffs.
I seen you was on your phone.
Did you look at fourth quarter points?
Mobley scored 20 points, five games during the whole playoffs.
Did you look at fourth quarter?
Can we stop.
Them guys disappeared.
Did you look at fourth quarter?
Every year Donald McI got to carry a Utah team, you got to carry a
a Utah team by itself.
Y'all remember the bubble.
Come on, man.
He's the guy that kept going while Murray took his step back.
Come on.
Donald Mitchell, if he played with LeBron, he could.
If he played with LeBron.
If he played with LeBron.
And Kyrie, replace Kyrie, they still would win.
That's how much of the-
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
That's how much of a start.
Wait, wait, hold on.
Wait, hold up.
Hold up.
So he needed to join the super team to get his job out.
He needs the right people.
Hold on.
So you said, replace Kyrie Irvin?
James need a team where it's all defenders and he could hide.
Because this team got no defenders.
That's all it was.
Well, James was on the Clippers where they had all defenders and he was hiding.
They didn't do nothing.
For the Clippers?
Yeah.
They tried that.
It was on the winning street when they traded him.
They was on the winning street.
Started that season 6 and 21 Swaggy.
I know, but when they traded him.
When they traded him.
They got went up when they traded him.
That's why they trained him.
They went up.
They went up, yes.
I know, but they was winning.
They was on like a 10 or some game winning street.
I remember that shit.
And he set out three hands.
We're not saying anything bad about Donna.
It's all right.
You're trying to disband.
No, we just said last.
Last year is the same thing.
Did they quit last year?
No, he didn't quit.
You can't put him in here.
The team quit last year.
They didn't play.
But he's not quitting.
He's a part of the team.
No.
He averaged in 40 points.
No, hold on.
That's not quitting.
Wait, nobody said he quit.
He had 30-some points in the last game.
He didn't quit, but you gave up, you gave up all of this energy.
The series been over.
You can go score a bunch of points in the last game and be like what?
But he scored every game.
The Sears been over.
He's got to play defense every game, bro.
No, he does.
No, he does not.
He's a guy like Jalen Daniels or something.
So why he didn't go guard Jalen Brown?
I mean, David Brunson.
Donovan Mitchell.
Why he was like, yo, watch out.
I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
Don't worry about it.
This me.
All right.
Why women didn't do it?
Why should they don't do it when they were doing?
Why would you bring up?
Why would you bring it?
We're talking about Cleveland.
We're not talking about them.
You're just throwing stuff on down of him.
No, it's a part of the fucking scene.
We didn't say he quit.
He just said.
We just say he just go for him.
But why he didn't take that next level, though?
He is.
What do he got to do?
Guard the motherfucking best player and shut him down.
Who does that?
Nobody can shut nobody down in the NBA.
Who does that?
Nobody can shut Brunson down.
Who does that?
Who done it?
Jalen Brown?
Jalen Brown to do it?
Come on.
When?
They lost the boss last year.
When Jalen Brown...
They was down five, I mean, four one.
I mean, three one.
When Jalen Brown won finals MVP, who was he guarding?
Come on, man.
I'm asking.
He's talking to you.
I'm asking.
He's talking to you.
He's talking to you.
No, but I'm saying, who was he guarding?
Luca gets shut down by, they lost the OKC.
Who was he guarding?
He can't say it.
But no, all I'm asking, who was he guarding?
We got to put him in.
He said, I got the best player.
You go get the guy that you need to stop.
We do.
Devin Booker got swept.
Crickets.
Who?
Devin Booker's head.
What you mean?
No, y'all was calling him Superstore.
I ain't heard nothing.
He need to get traded.
That's all her.
That's what he was saying.
He said that.
That's all you said.
That's not nothing bad.
What are you talking about?
He quit.
Being traded is not bad?
No, we say they need to be on a good team.
I said, listen.
No, you're saying he quit.
I didn't hear Devin Booker quit.
He got Swift.
We're saying that.
I didn't hear that.
We said it was Jalen Green's team now.
The Cately Green's team now.
This don't look like this devil's team.
And then he said, man, I'm getting rid of Devin Bucker.
I said there's some conversations that need to be had.
I get rid of it.
I did say that.
I said about Devin Booker, there's some conversations that might need to be had.
I keep the same energy, bro.
I kept the same energy with Devin Booker.
I said Devin Booker was a superstar.
You said he wasn't.
And you said Donovan Mitchell is a superstar.
No, no, I said if Devin Booker is a superstar,
Donovan Mitchell is a superstar.
No, no, that's not, no.
They're not the same conversation.
See what I mean?
They're not.
They're not.
What I'm talking about?
They're not.
This is what I'm talking about.
Like the disrespect.
That's not disrespect.
They're just not in the same car.
I didn't say you wasn't good.
He got way more buckets, bro.
Come on, man.
They both got 70s.
Come on, let's stop.
Yeah.
He both got 70s.
They both got 70s.
What does I have to do?
Devin Booker has been to the finals.
Devin Booker has been to the finals.
Devin Booker is on the late with the finish sons.
That's one time.
That's one time.
Chris Paul and da-da-da-da.
Yeah, we got there.
And if they win, who get finals MVP?
Chris Wall.
You crazy as hell.
Anyways.
If, man.
If, it's, that's, I'm saying, he had a, he had a better chance than Donovan Mitchell.
How'd he'll be in the same conversation?
Yeah, as Devin Booker would have been finals MVP if they won that serious.
Come on, man.
Stop playing.
Oh, y'all.
I ain't broken that back in a long time.
Dope?
Dope.
Dope?
Dope.
Dope.
I don't know what size you on.
Because you keep talking.
Nobody.
You say you with Donovan, then you go.
going against Donald. I'm saying
he's a part of the team that got swept
so he don't get to sit up there and separate
himself from the conversation.
I'm saying that he is a superstar
and I've been saying he's a superstar.
That's what me and you was going against him with that.
But he can't be separating himself like
or you can't separate him
from the conversation and him getting swept.
He has to be accountable.
How can you be a superstar? You're not the number one option
Let's think about his times in the playoffs.
Huh?
One time.
No, no. Go Burrughey, baby, body.
Second team, all NBA, bro.
Yes.
Superstar.
Where's Booker at?
When the last time Booker been all NBA?
Probably last year.
Nah, hell not last year.
I'm sure last year he made it.
No.
You know where Phoenix was last year?
Why Donovan Mitchell?
They didn't make the playoffs.
Why Donovan Mitchell never on a USA team?
He was 13.
24.
Two years ago.
Two years ago.
Wasn't eligible this year and didn't hit the game.
Yeah, so he did.
Yeah, because why Donovan Mitchell not ever on a USA team?
Why is the fucking?
and Jalen Brown on on the USA team.
You know that's politics.
The same way y'all say he's not a superstar.
The same way Janet Brown don't make first team.
It's the hate.
It's the hate.
Well, we know why Jalen Brown's not on it.
I'm just saying, Donovan Mitchell, what does he do?
He is a clean image.
He doesn't do anything bad.
He plays basketball, right?
He does his thing, so he doesn't do anything.
So I'm trying to see why isn't he on that team if he's so good.
We don't like the way he walks.
Checks overstrike, bow-legged.
I don't care about, nah.
Like that you're gonna have nothing to do it.
We do respect.
We do respect it.
You try to say, we say he quit.
We didn't say he quit.
You did he quit.
No, he did.
No, I didn't say he quit.
I said he said in the corner and let James Hardin go ahead take over.
I'm gonna sit in the corner.
Why are you sitting in the corner?
And you did.
And you did go get in the corner.
Go get Brunson.
James Hardin went to the strip club after the loss.
Why is Donovan Mitchell
and y'all blaming him?
Donovan Mitchell.
Why is he in the corner?
He was.
I went to the strip club after the law.
Why is Donna Mitchell in the corner and you're the soup?
This is your team, don't.
Find culinary offerings at the strip club.
That's not.
No, no, no.
Come on.
You keep ignoring that part.
If there's some snow, I'm going to go.
But why you keep ignoring that part, though?
Man, anytime.
Nick, why you keep ignoring that part?
What?
Why you keep ignoring the part?
Why is he in the corner?
And why are you not guarding Jalen Brunson?
Like, what's up?
You're talking all in the huddle?
Let's just go, just go do it.
Everybody does it.
But why aren't you just doing it?
I'm not saying he's all NBA defense.
I never said that.
He got to do everything.
I never said.
LeBron is in Garchet?
They got swept.
Is SGA in top five defense?
Is Donald Mitchell 41?
No, he's like top 20, I believe, defense were ready.
So stop bringing out.
But you're supposed to have defenders for that.
Who is the defender on their team?
That's a lockdown defender.
Name one.
Bruce was supposed to be.
Who?
They put him in there to guard Brunson.
See?
Struth?
Well, again, everybody can't.
Mowbley, but he disappeared.
He disappeared last year.
He said it was hurt.
And that's what we just said.
We just said they did the same thing.
But you can't put him in that galaxy.
The team?
What category?
You can't say the team.
No.
We didn't say him.
We said, when a guy out there fighting,
you can't put him with it.
The team quit last year.
The team quit last year.
He tried to do as best he could.
But the team was.
was like, yo, my toe, yo, this is hurting.
It's like, well, goddamn.
But that doesn't got nothing to do with him.
That's what I'm saying.
Find new teammates.
Don't say he's not a star because of other motherfuckers quitting on his team.
That's what I'm saying.
You can't separate yourself from the team.
KV does it all the time.
LeBron does it.
Wait, wait, wait, who?
MJ does it.
All of them.
What did you mean?
What?
What?
They just told, they give LeBron hell every time.
Every time he leaves.
blame the team, blame the coach,
get people fired.
Yeah.
That's when you blame people.
KD.
Now we blame Luca.
Lakers had mass layoffs.
Lucas's fault.
They are.
For sure.
For sure.
Luca did it.
It's Luca for me.
They're playing Broadway.
Braids.
I'm about to be a free agent.
All right, but let's get back in this.
You said not, but you said don't extend
Donovan Mitchell.
What would you get for?
I think they should trade.
I think they should trade all of them.
Wow.
The future isn't bright.
you just hear the names that the teams that I just said that's getting better?
This is who's getting better though?
Listen, nobody played in the East this year and you got there and got swept.
You think you're going back there next year?
The Knicks are going to the finals right now.
You can't have the same team.
The Knicks are going to the team.
No, I'm not saying have the team.
No, I'm not saying.
They're not going to get nobody to come there.
And you get a whole, you get some young players.
You trade, you need a good small forward that could shoot that corner three and lock down.
No, I keep Mobley.
They have the highest pay.
They have the highest pay.
They have the highest pay.
He went to the U.S.C.
Let's get into the specifics of it.
He's not bad.
He's not bad.
He's inconsistent.
Go ahead, Joe's sorry.
Let's get into the specific.
So Donovan Mitchell eligible for a four-year $272 million extension this summer.
But could wait until next summer and sign a five-year, $350 million deal that includes a no trade clause.
While reports are James Hardin will opt out of his $42.3 million dollar player option.
I don't know what.
And sign a team-friendly extension to provide some cap relief.
Cavs are in the second apron.
the highest salary cap in the league this season,
slated to have the highest cap next season as well.
According to reports,
Kenny Ackison will return for his third season as well.
So you guys kind of already alluded to it,
but should the cabs running back with Donovan Mitchell and James Harden?
I'm going to say no.
They're saying James Hart coming back for less money.
Okay.
If he comes back for less, I do that.
There's some other things that need to happen.
So they're not going to extend Donovan until the summer after
because he want more money.
And he want that no trade clause.
And the no trade clause.
He deserves.
So the only deal would be to get rid of Allen or Mowgli, which, you keep saying, don't get rid of Bollett.
I get rid of Allen before I get rid of Mowbril.
But Mowgli got more trade value.
You get more pieces.
I know that's what I'm saying.
More pieces for him.
So Donovan Mitchell, player option 2027, you do run the risk shot if you move that way.
And obviously, depending on what the cap looks like for teams around the league, that he can just dip.
For nothing.
If Donovan get the right pieces, he can win.
Nobody's going to Cleveland.
I keep telling you this.
Bro, it is cooked.
Bro, this is their best chance.
It was their best chance.
You got to, the creator of credit is due.
It's LeBron.
So when LeBron decided to go back to Cleveland,
he's not going to different.
Say they make the different trade.
And Stella James, it was Kauai in Donovan.
That's a different game.
Thank you.
That's what I'm saying.
Why, though?
Because they got somebody that could do it all.
Because they have a number one option.
And they have a defender.
That's what I'm saying.
They have a number one option.
So he would not be the number one option.
Cool.
I don't know.
Donovan Mitchell is scooting the fuck over.
No.
He just scooted over for James.
No, you can't.
No, he didn't.
No, he didn't.
That's what I'm saying.
James shot 12 shots per game.
Donovan shot 20 shots.
That's not schooling over.
Shoot 30.
Shoot 30 of them.
Shit.
James Garden Brunson.
That's giving up points and everything.
So you need to, you got to have to shoot more.
You got to shoot 30 times now.
Yes.
Because God damn, they just, every time he come down, they're picking on James.
And that's, that's giving up points.
So now you got to come down and do triple shit.
Yeah, you don't see what he's saying.
You go down and you got to guard Brunson, right?
You give up two points.
Now you go down and give James the ball.
He missed.
Now we got to come back down, give up two more points.
And now I've got to go down and try to make up the two points that we just missed out on
because I was supposed to have the ball.
Now we're four.
They're coming down hitting on an 8-0 run
And now I got to come down and hit two threes back to back
Because I ain't touched the ball
And for seven minutes
How is that possible?
Hardin average 14 shots per game this postseason
Donovan Mitchell average 21 shots per game
Just for transparency
What about the fourth quarter?
That's what I want to see.
That's what we're talking about
The Fern, not the whole game
Because Donovan going to get his shit
during the whole game
But we're talking about in the fourth quarter
When it's time to make the decisions to win the game
Who really seen them going to the Eastern Conference final?
Cleveland.
Nobody had Cleveland like that.
They said it was the dark horse.
Nobody had Cleveland actually going to the Eastern
Cup of finals.
So why would we run it back with the same team?
I'm not saying running back.
I'm saying you paid Donovan Mitchell whatever he won't.
You can get rid of James.
I would get a nice small for it.
Who will you bring in for Cleveland to make it a championship team?
Well, there.
No, no, no.
Please, please, please.
I definitely want to hear that.
I definitely want to hear who the hell is coming in.
Who are you bringing in?
Who is coming in?
Who is coming in?
to Cleveland.
Now we're talking about this.
Please.
Let's not think about who's not coming to Cleveland.
Who will be a free agent this year?
LeBron James is going to be a free agent this summer.
Yonis is out there.
Has played in Cleveland before.
Janice and Donovan won't be a, no, no.
There are some.
See what I mean?
You keep trying to break.
Yonis and Donovan will be a good mix.
You keep putting your guy in the corner.
Yonis and Dolovan will be putting your guy in the corner.
You know with Janice and Dame a good thing?
That's not the same.
How?
Is Dame better than Donovan?
Come on, man.
Is Damian Liller better than Donovan Mitchell?
Yes.
Good argument.
I'm not saying it's the clear.
Wait, wait, wait, is Dame better than Donovan?
I'm not saying it's the clear yes.
Kern, Donovan Mitchell.
No, no, Dame is better than Donovan Mitchell.
I'm not saying it's the clear yes.
I'm saying clear.
If Dame and Yon is had friction, you don't think they're not going to have the same?
No.
Did you see what Dave had to play against in that Western Conference with that Portland team?
Come on.
Okay.
What you mean? I went to the Western Conference.
He was doing that with Utah, too.
Who was doing that?
He was doing what?
He was not doing the same thing.
They went to that...
Man, they got punked by Draymond Green.
Who did?
The whole Portland team.
They got to the Western Conference finals and lost to the Go to State Warriors.
They got punk.
They were supposed to win, too.
They got damn their swept.
So what's the problem?
They got swept by fucking pool and, um,
Wiggins and, uh, uh,
Clay coming off the bench.
Not a fucking clay
Did they win it that year?
Did they win it that year?
Yeah.
They won it all that year, right?
Okay, so they lost to the champs.
They lost to the champs, bro.
What are you talking about?
That's still not the team, though.
Donovan Mitchell is not a better basketball.
I didn't hear nobody saying.
I'm going to get it done.
Man, Donovan.
The only reason why Damon and Janus ain't get done
because of the injury.
That's all I'm going to say.
No, I'm going to say.
He wasn't injured all.
He wasn't injured to the end.
He didn't get injured to the end.
The injuries was up and down, up and down.
Come on.
He wasn't happy.
Come on.
He wasn't happy.
Come on.
Don't do that comparison to him.
Who else?
Not yon.
You don't do that comparison?
That's not a bad comparison.
Who is Donovan going to get if it's not Yonis?
Jimmy Butler?
Dane Lillard shoots on the fucking half court line.
Not even close.
He need a defender.
He said, Jimmy Butler.
Better than Stroess?
Stroves.
Whatever the small four is.
Who is the Mac?
I like the.
Donovan Mitchell and Devin Booker.
I like that.
Come on, man.
He's been past Devin Booker.
I mean, not Devin Booker.
I thought you said Bill.
My bad.
Two different humans.
Yeah, my bad, my bad.
I like the Bradley Bill.
I like that Bradley Bill.
And Donovan Mitchell, though.
But him and Dame at the same life.
But leave Dame alone, though.
You got to leave.
That's top 75.
He in there.
Donald Mitchell will be top 100.
Shit.
That's very possible.
Somebody got to be.
school out. So was what?
They would just add 25 more?
I know, but
they got to re-rank them, too, though.
They got to re-rank them. Wait, hold on.
There ain't no ranking
system. It's just honorary.
Honor, and we would just take the 75th.
We would just take the 75th.
Donovan was the plan then.
Wait, I know. Wait, hold on. So Donovan
will be in the next 25? Yes.
Go ahead.
You don't think so? We'll see.
So let's talk about the other side of it.
Cavs traded for James Hardin at the deadline,
allowing him to make his 17th straight playoff
appearance, which is tied for the third longest streak in league history.
So Harden struggled in the Eastern Conference Finals,
the averageed 16.5 rebounds, three assists while shooting 39% from the field,
18% from three.
Also had five or more turnovers in three of the four games.
So in the cap, what?
How much down on average?
My bad, I didn't mean you took you.
How much down on the average for his career?
For his career?
24, maybe.
Let me see.
Remember, there's some people that's not in, too, that got to get any.
Four plays.
For his career, Davy, Mitchell.
average 25.5.
Man, he was a show getting in.
He's a good.
He's a show getting in.
He getting in before the Barterosa?
I know.
We're talking about Hardin.
So in the Cavs three elimination games,
this postseason Hardin was a total of seven for 27 from the field,
one for 17 from three.
So after the Cavs got eliminated,
Donovan Mitchell came to the defense of his future Hall of Fame teammate.
This man changed the game of basketball.
Like, changed the game of basketball.
in ways that we've never seen before.
And we live in such a ring dominant culture
that we're willing to write a guy off
because he hasn't gotten there.
Got it's transcended basketball, right?
Like in 75 years, no one's been able to do what he does.
You can say the same thing about Steph Curry,
and Iverson, right, like Michael Jordan,
James Hardin's in that.
So, yeah, like, obviously, I can,
relate to not having reached a certain point, but I do also feel like we don't talk about his greatness
enough.
That's true.
I'm talking about Hardin's greatness now.
Like that man, Donald.
That's a great man right there.
Harding 98 career playoffs wins are tied with Carl Malone for the most inmate history for a player who hasn't won a chip.
But his resume all but assures him of being a first ballot Hall of Famer.
So, Swaghy, what do you think about Donald Mitchell defending Hardin's?
legacy and greatness after the cabs got swept.
I think it's dope.
It's the team.
And James deserve it.
I think James get more hate than he deserves.
I think people were really mad.
He couldn't get it done over the Warriors.
People wanted to see the Warriors dynasty fall that bad that they start hating on James.
They have to change, when they have to change rules for players, I think it shows your greatness.
It changed calls, changed travels and, you know, moves.
They got kids doing it, even if it's right or wrong.
Even if you like it or not, you got to respect what James did.
I think he falls in that same category as Russell Westbrook.
Mr. B., what do you think about Donovan Mitchell coming to James Hardin defense
and big up his greatness and his legacy saying he changed the game?
James Hardin is first ballot Hall of Fame, top 75.
He definitely did change the game in a way of scoring in different ways.
Like Steph Curry, Shaq changed the game.
Kobe Ryan changed the game.
LeBron James changed the game.
You know, if we're not going to penalize people for not getting to the,
being able to get to the finals or having a ring,
I mean, then, you know, then why are we even talking about rings
or why are you even playing?
From that standpoint, because, I mean, that's why, you know, the greats are the greats.
So, I mean, I know he wants to big up his teammate, which is fine.
And, yeah, it is true.
All those things are definitely true.
But, you know, there's a lot of, a lot of, uh, in that, too, you know, with, with, with, with, with the way the playoffs is going for, for him, game sevens.
And a lot of that on this resume too.
So, you know, to put somebody in the conversations of like Steph Curry, Alan Iverson, you know,
and those guys who really changed the game, remember, those guys actually changed the game and won.
Iverson didn't win.
Huh?
Iverson didn't win.
No, Iverson didn't win, but he got.
They went to the finals too.
Yeah, by himself.
But he went to the finals by himself at six foot.
That's a different type of animal.
obese. And I know people think I hate
on AI, but I love, A.I is a whole
different type of, like... One star
team back then, though. Huh?
One, maybe two star team
back then. Who AI?
It wasn't super teams back then, that's what I'm
saying. So you should give him more
credit because he just didn't have a
super team. So,
you know, I just feel like when you put in certain
guys in certain conversations, it's like, yeah, we got to look at
the whole body of work and everything.
Yeah, AI didn't win it, but
AI
change the game
for other reasons
on and off the court.
So, you know,
Steph Curry,
I mean,
come on, man.
Like,
that's, like,
you know,
he's hoped to the most
average human being.
When you look at Steph Curry,
you just be like,
believe I can make it.
Like, you know,
it's like president.
LeBron James,
the American dream.
So,
you know,
those are the type of guys
who've changed the game.
But go ahead.
Sean,
what do you think about
Donovan Mitchell
coming in the defense?
of James Harden, greatness in his legacy saying the Hardin changed the game?
There's 5,000 guys that play this game.
And out of the 5,000, there's only a certain amount of guys that won championships.
We play the game to win.
Simple as that.
So if you're not winning, you're losing.
So all the guys who've never won a championship,
it's just like reaching the mountain top.
The mountain top.
What's at the mountain top?
My precious.
You know, the Lord of the Rings?
My precious.
Got to go get that ring.
National treasure.
What's in the treasure box?
What's in the box?
Treasures in the box.
Where's the box?
You got to find the box.
The box is at the top of the mountain.
How do I get there?
Some people took helicopters, some tip, some people took elevators inside the volcano, whatever it is.
They happen to get to the top.
The people who haven't gotten to the top of the mountain to get that fucking, that hardware,
that thing that we all play for, the conversations are completely different for everybody else.
That's the reason we play the game.
And for what our culture stands for right now and everybody's trying to rewrite the history around ring culture, that shit is bullshit.
Because when you lose, you lose.
Take your L.
Go back to the crib.
Go get another map and try to figure out another route to get to the top of the mountain.
Because we're not going to stop the pedigree and the requirements to get into the top.
It takes this to get to the top so you can be mentioned in the breath of these people.
So until then, your accolades, your achievements, all of that shit is for your fans, the people who support you.
They love that you never got there, but you got all these points.
Whatever changing the game means, means that.
I was going to ask that.
I was going to ask you that.
Yeah, because, I mean, there's a lot of people who change the game.
The step back file?
So where was it in the finals?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
We was doing it.
We was doing it.
We was doing it.
It was getting foul, so he was he was doing it.
So this right here, so you're saying this right here to the step back is what changed the game.
Yeah.
A double.
You trotting, man.
I don't know what that is.
That's the bullshit he did.
To change the game from AI, what, AI, they had to take a whole,
and not come out of the game.
out the game.
Being able to shoot that shot and not getting
subbed out the game. So that's changing
no. Yes. No. I don't think so.
No. No. No. Listen. It was a
moment in our culture where we hadn't seen some
shit before and he dominated in
that era. And we was like, yo, what is he
doing? He's the only one doing it.
Like, it didn't change. The numbers
or whatever that's your era.
Steph Curry changed shit because everyone
started to shoot threes after he
was shooting threes for the way he was shooting
threes. That's changing shit.
Like everyone now
No everyone's not doing the James Hard stepback
Bro
Everybody does it
That's the number one three
Shea does it every game
That's one guy
That's not everybody
Everybody
Luca does it every game
That's two guys
Wimby does it every game
And Wimmy don't do it
Everybody does it
Everybody does a step back three
And that step back you're talking about
Paul Pierce was doing that shit
So a step yeah
I'm talking about the
You're talking about the double step back
The step back jump.
Twing, twing, twing, twing, twing, step back.
James is the only one doing that.
It was a bad shot back then.
So who else is doing that?
It was a bad shot.
But who else is doing that right now?
Changing the game means making evolving too.
I know.
Who is doing?
People wasn't doing that.
Who is doing that, though?
It was considered a bad, everybody does it.
Everyone else is doing what James was doing, bro.
Tatum, Jaylon Brown, Jaylon Brunson.
Everybody does it.
They're not doing it the way he was doing it, bro.
Kobe wasn't doing a step back?
No.
Okay.
No, I've never seen Kobe do a tween, twin, twin, twin step back.
Okay.
Oh, you're talking about the tween.
So I'm talking about the setup shit.
So you're saying, that's the whole thing.
Everybody does it.
Everybody's doing it.
Everybody, that's not.
Maybe three guys.
You're talking about maybe Luca, Tatum, and James Hardin.
Every guy does it though.
No, they don't.
Because it's a bad shot.
Johnson, Shea.
I was learning a step back at 19.
Everybody's doing that.
That's the LA thing.
Okay, so how's that changing the game?
Because he's doing it in the game.
But that's not changing the game is like this, right?
Changing the game, just like he said, changing the game is like this.
Remember when everybody used to get the ball when they were younger, right?
I gotta go dunk.
I gotta be air like air mic, right?
I gotta be able to do this.
Now kids, give me that ball.
Doing step back.
I wanna see how far I can shoot that step back.
All they do is not a step back.
All they do it is not a step back.
All they doing when they're training is between the legs step back.
All they doing is working on move.
No, I'm saying, no.
Nobody catches the shooting before.
No, listen, when you go pick up a ball and you just go to the gym,
the first thing you remember, throw it up, try to say, ah, try to do that, right?
Now, I want to see if I can shoot it how far Steph can shoot it.
No, no, no, I'm not trying to do.
That's the first thing you're doing.
Sure.
There was a baby.
There was a baby that went viral and said, we did it.
I get it.
I get it.
I get it.
We did it.
What?
We did all this.
You were shooting threes from far before Steph, everybody.
But what I'm saying is who made.
So you can't say Steph was the one that did it.
Yes, he is.
Everybody else was doing it because he did.
That's what he did.
That's what I'm saying he did.
No.
So you're not saying he to make the step back pop up?
No one else is doing it, swag.
The kids are not coming out doing a triple step back.
Luca does it every game.
Talking about two people.
We're talking about kids around the world.
Let's watch a night.
I'm a videotape every time they're doing it again.
But Luca was doing that.
But Luca was doing that back in Europe.
When he was 16.
Yeah, when he was 16.
So what he talked?
They teach that over there.
Because we've been doing that since when we come to me.
They teach it from over there.
They didn't come from James Hardin.
That was 15 years ago.
They're shooting the three from long distance.
They come from Steph.
It did.
Who else was doing that on the daily?
Who was doing that on the daily?
Who was doing stepbacks in every place?
Everybody.
No, no, they were.
Overseas everything.
They were teaching me.
They was teaching me before then.
I was doing a step back in high school.
Never seen it.
What are you talking about?
Everybody was doing a step back.
We're talking about actually taking.
Nobody.
I want to be like Mike from the airtime.
I want to say how I can shoot the three.
Nobody was even shooting threes from till 2010.
What it would be talking about?
Nobody was, nobody was stepping back shooting the three.
Come on, man.
I was shooting three.
You get sucked out so goddamn fast.
Steve Nathleth.
You'll be looking over at the coach so fast.
Genoblee?
Tap on the shoulder.
Go on the screen, step back.
No, no, no.
No, no.
No, you're going under the screen.
All you do is pull up.
Yes.
No stepbacks.
That was a bad shot.
All that was a bad shot.
So he invented the stepback.
He invented the stepback.
No, he didn't invent-
Okay, so how's that change to the game?
Did he evolve his swagging in the step back?
Okay, made it.
Yeah, bring light to it like Steph did.
He brought light to the three-point, or did he say,
yo, this is how you got to do it to get to my level?
Because the three-point line is so different now because of step-free.
Because step-curry got four rings.
You don't shoot three from half-course every time.
So y'all acting like he shoot threes from half-court.
Did you watch Steph at Davidson?
But you know who did?
I seen JJ Reddick shoot them shots.
I seen fucking, well, for call it, the other guy, the other white boy.
Jimmy?
Jimmy?
Yes, I seen from Gazaga, the tall 6-9 to shoot them shots.
Morrison shoot them shots.
That's why he went to the league.
You didn't see me?
You didn't watch it.
You didn't get the channels?
He wasn't a shooter like that.
It was like more of a dozen.
You didn't know.
You didn't watch.
I did too.
I did too, but when I shot, it was a bad shot.
We'll get subbed out if you don't make it.
If you're shooting 40%, it's a great shot.
We want you to shoot a shot.
Yes, but you ain't going to make it every time.
He don't make it every time.
It's a difference.
Don't think Steph Curry.
I dared somebody in 2005 and come out and shoot a fucking half-course shot.
They'll take his ass out the game.
Their mind wasn't if coaches was fucked up back then.
Salim Steltymey.
So Gil.
So Gil.
So Gil?
So Gil?
For sure Gil was shooting at this.
So Gil started it.
So how Steph started?
If Gil was doing it first.
Because he made it popular.
Steph made it popular.
Gil did this, turned around.
Yes.
So he started it.
Uh-huh.
Now Gil started it.
Chris Jackson was doing it too in LSU.
No, no.
You know who Chris Jackson is?
You know who Chris Jackson is?
You don't know who Chris Jackson is.
Okay, I'm going to school you to, he played with Shaq.
Chris Jackson played with Shaq at LSU.
He was shooting from fucking Bangladesh.
He was...
Muhammad.
Muhammad started it.
His name is not Muhammad.
It's Rob, my Muhammad.
My shit up a room.
My dude.
And he had to pump fake like this.
Shooting from Bangladesh.
Mark, uh...
So did he start?
Right used to shoot from way back there.
Nobody started nothing then.
Because it's, they didn't make it popular.
No.
That's what James did.
Because they didn't win and do it.
That's why.
You change, how are you going to change the game and you ain't...
Well, no.
No, because you can't change the game without winning.
But, Step Curry had to do it.
did it on a level to where, bro.
He helped him winning games doing it.
Bro, he's winning championships do this.
Doing it.
So that's why it was okay to do it.
Like, Michael Jordan is flying in the air, winning championships.
LeBron James is coming in, the American Dream winning championships doing it.
Like, yeah, that's changing the atmosphere.
I'm not saying James didn't change the game.
Yeah.
Uh, Michael Jordan didn't start the dunk.
No, he didn't.
But the way he did it, it was winning.
It was winning with it.
Like, I'm winning at the same time doing all this.
Did you have a Michael Jordan poster with him,
leaning on that motherfucker like this.
He was leaning like Michael Jackson and smooth criminal niggins.
Like Michael Jordan flying through the air doing this against Isaac Johnson.
Come on, man, what he's talking about?
Magic Johnson changed the game.
Huh?
Huh?
You said what?
In what way?
In what way?
In what way?
Six nine point guard.
That's different.
Agree.
Yeah.
Agree.
Six nine point guard.
Agree.
What did he do?
What did he do?
He was fucking won, swag.
Penny Hardaway.
All of them guys.
They followed, but they didn't win.
Did Vince Carter change the game?
Michael Jordan changed the game, bro.
Yeah.
I'm just saying.
And then who after Michael?
Because this guy's like fly the glide that was flying like Mike.
Name the guy after Michael.
Fucking Dr. Jay was gliding.
Name the guy after Michael.
I think Vince Carter is the greatest raptor ever.
Name the guy after Michael's swag.
No, do you say Vince Carter?
What the fuck?
Kobe Beam Bryant.
I just wanted to throw that out there.
Of course.
It takes the game.
It's the name.
AI changed the game.
Who won, though?
Dennis Robin changed the game.
Who won?
Then it was changing the game.
Off the court.
You're talking about Kobe didn't have no step back.
Who would step back?
Who would get everything?
The Rockstar stuff?
Making the nails painted?
I think.
AI is the most,
AI is the most influential basketball player ever to ever play.
He's up there.
Do you agree with that?
No.
No, because you guys Michael Jordan.
Michael Jordan and Kobe.
Got on Jordans.
Because I...
I think Alan Iris is the most...
Anybody that bought them damn Kobe bullet shoes.
It's like Lil Wayne.
Like, Lil Wayne is the most influential rapper.
Tupacore.
Stop, man.
And Michael Jordan.
Tupac and Codagh.
I mean, Tupac.
Little Wayne is the most...
Michael Jackson, Tupac, and Michael Jordan.
These the three guys...
Little Wayne is the most influential rapper.
Little Wayne is the most influential rapper.
Where are we going with this?
And, no, we're just talking about change.
We're talking about change.
Taday Weston.
This was a James Harden discussion.
And Alan Iverson is the most important.
Hey, that's just called moving the goal post.
That is not.
The motherfahlers move to gold post,
try to prove a point, man.
It just be like,
ooh-o-o-o-d-d-d-d-d-d-drake.
All right, let's go.
What are we doing?
Boom what?
Let's keep this thing moving.

Right.
Take all your...
Ant Man had the basketball world buzzing recently for preemptively dapping up the Spurs early in the
fourth quarter of the Wool's blowout loss in an elimination game.
Here is that video for reference in case you forgot it was so long ago.
As you can see, eight minutes ago in the game, getting smacked by 33 points.
Ant Man walked over to the bench.
he did to dapp up all of the spurs, gave Papay ceremonial dapp up as well.
Now, naturally, some on this couch weren't feeling ant waving the white flag with so much time left on the clock,
despite it being obvious that the wolves were cooked. So this weekend, Ant dropped the video on his
YouTube channel giving further insight into his Dap Up decision.
at the eight-minute mark.
Tell us why you did that.
I mean, it wasn't a reason why.
Like, everybody just,
I feel like everybody just got their own opinion.
Like, yes, eight minutes in the game,
but we're not going back in the game.
When you win a playoff series,
everybody's celebrating at the end of the game.
Like, so they're going to be smiling while we,
while I'm pissed off and we just lost.
So I was just like,
let me go on congratulate these boys
because I ain't trying to be kicking with y'all
after y'all don't whip my eyes.
I didn't want to go dab to the n'clock.
at all.
Like, then what they would have been saying about me.
Like, that would have been a whole other conversation.
So, I gave them the respect they deserved, man.
Like, I could have waited to the end of the game.
That's what, that's other people perspective.
But, yeah, I did what I did.
That's why I'm me and y'all are whoever y'all are.
Tell them.
Tell them.
Tell them.
Man.
Love that man.
Your prediction for future face of the league,
are you buying Ant Man's explanation for why he dapped up
the Spurs with so much time left on the clock.
Yeah, man, game was over.
Once the coach take you out, you know you're not coming back in.
If he would have left, it had been he's a quitter, he's take his eels like a man type
and stuff.
I'm trying to get out of there, man, so I'm going to shake your hand.
I ain't about to sit around, talk to you.
I feel a certain way about the loss.
I feel a certain way about how I'm hurt, not playing the way I want to play.
It's a lot of stuff going into that.
I feel like if he was 100%
things would have went different.
And at the end of the day, that's being an honorable person.
Give the people respect. No excuses.
Shake their hands. I'm getting out of here.
Talk to my team and I'm going to go home.
Until I shift over this side of couch.
Shot, are you buying AMA's explanation
for why he decided to dab up the Spurs
with eight minutes left on the clock in an elimination game?
Hell no.
You don't matter of buying it or not.
You know, like you said, that's why he did what he did, because he is who he is.
You know, we already talked about this shit at length.
I don't hear it.
What y'all said?
Y'all didn't like it?
No.
You didn't like it?
No, I hated it.
You didn't like it neither?
Damn.
Yeah.
You mean, if you said you're going to wait to the end, you could have waited to the end.
And you probably wouldn't have said anything, then don't say nothing.
It's better for you to not say nothing than to go eight minutes ahead of time.
just to do it.
Why? What's the difference?
Because the game is still going.
Game is over, bro.
But you got eight more minutes.
And you're down 30.
LeBron did it with four minutes to go in the game.
That's the only player who's done it with time on the clock.
What are you talking about in the finals?
Yes.
When he went over there.
Because he knew it was over.
He shook all everybody hands.
And you don't want to see God.
I'm dancing on the floor and shit.
I don't give a fuck about what you want.
But that's what we're doing when we win.
No, but look.
We're dancing on you.
So you have to face it.
But I still feel away.
You don't avoid it.
That's just like you complaining about Wimby,
not talking to the press.
Thank you.
So if you're going to complain about Wemby, not talking to the press.
So you're going to say, hey listen.
But at least I shake your hand.
Sit your ass for eight minutes and endure this shit.
I'm not coming again.
You're going to see us dancing on your shit.
No.
And you're going to take your ass to the locker room and feel the pain of it.
What's the difference though?
Because he's trying to avoid the pain.
Who is better?
He's trying to avoid the
Who is the better person
If I don't shake their hand
Or if I shake their hand early
Who is the better person
Wait till the end of the game
Bro
Who is the better person
The person at the end of the game is
So if I just leave
Michael George still
I don't like a motherfucker
To this day
Don't matter
To this day
Don't care
So what
They make an all-star game
He's dead there guys
Who cares if you don't like me?
I don't care if you don't like me
His life ain't been the same
I don't care
Since then.
No one cares.
He got traded from Detroit.
The whole Detroit team got this panel after that.
He didn't make the Olympic team.
No.
He ain't top five in certain people with eyes.
Huh?
You're making shit up now.
I'm saying.
He's still top five.
He's making shit up, man.
Stop making shit up.
He's number four.
That's why guys, that time I spend his entire career with the pistol.
Last dance is all about right there.
What you're talking about?
You're just making shit up, man.
We was doing that.
You didn't shake his thing.
He started just doing shit.
I don't understand.
He didn't like it.
Now, but to a shot point earlier, when he was saying, like, all these new trends, everybody's trying to start, I think that's the same thing with this situation.
It's like, you know, the way the game is played, you know, you lose.
We've all seen it.
Magic, everybody, when they lost, they go out there, they shake everybody hands.
I think this new trend of trying to change things and how things go sometimes is kind of just like, all right.
It's like a cop-out.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
It's a cop-out, and the fact that we have more cameras and everything.
and you could see things in real time
where back in the day, you know, you couldn't see it.
But now it's like, it's just a cop-out.
Like, you know, at the end of the game, yeah, man,
you go shake their hands, man.
It is what it is.
Like, you take your L the way you take your L.
Even if you were a sore loser.
Like, you know, like, you feel losing
and still go fucking.
Yeah, like, I mean.
Wait till the clock to zero is what you're saying.
You can't do it eight minutes in the van.
Yeah, I just feel like, like you said,
there's new trends that everybody's trying to make
acceptable for stuff.
Like, you know, oh, oh, like, you don't have to win a ring.
you don't have to do this and do that.
It's like, well, then why are we having the debate about anything?
When did people start caring about ring culture, though?
No, no, no, no.
You started having the championship be the thing at the end of the season.
Yeah, take the championship away.
Just take the championship away.
Yeah.
Just take the championship away.
You're the MVP.
You're the best player.
Hey, there it is.
Go home.
Somebody wins.
But if you're going to do a championship, we have to have a conversation.
If you don't just say, we don't play to be in those type of conversations, cool.
There's another table.
There's another table for your ass.
That's the whole different thing.
If you're saying that, I'm not playing to win championship.
Okay, cool.
I just play for my stats.
Cool.
Now you got a different, you separated yourself from the feet aspect to the individual aspect.
No, but to everything, though.
To the guys who belong at that table.
Because there's guys that you win it all and get it.
So it's like we can't act like this doesn't happen.
The game evolved too.
It's guys that wouldn't have rings.
That many rings is they played in certain eras, too.
You can say that too.
Yeah, but there's still well.
respected.
Like, Charles Barkley is
well respected.
Like, Charles Barkley is better
than a lot of these fours today.
Who was his competition?
You could say that.
But never won't know.
Who was Wall,
Chamberlain,
Wilk Chamberlain competition.
You could say stuff like that.
You could say that.
But I'm just saying,
so it's a different era
and players are much better.
You can say this.
Swat.
In the shooting guard situation,
it's five of the guys
that would be number one back in Jordan.
Charles Barkley went to play
with the Houston Rockets in
1990 what?
I think I don't know
94
96
97
I pull it off
Oh it's Phoenix
Phoenix first
Phoenix first
He did go
Phoenix he went to the final
Yeah
96 97
96 96 90s after the
Houston Rockets
went back to back
championships
He went there to win a championship
so that he could have
hardware
a part of his legacy
The fact that he did not win
Shaq
and Kenny
can look at him
and be like, you never got there, big fella.
Yeah.
So the separate conversations is Chuck don't brag about all the things he done individually
because he knows the most important thing that matters is winning that championship.
So he don't go out there saying I'm Hall of Fame.
I'm this rebound this.
He's like, man, look, I play a great.
I'm a great player.
I never got to the end of the road.
But we know that's what matters most.
But he is, though.
He's still the top 10 small best power for?
He don't brag about that shit.
He's not telling people to go out there and play for that.
I'm not saying that.
I'm just saying it's different times.
It is.
People are better.
The players are better now.
Every team has a damn near Charles Barkley or Michael Jordan.
But the game will change.
The game has not changed about what's most important, even though the game has evolved.
We said, Carl Malone.
And when they went to the Lakers, like they were chasing the ring.
What did they want?
They wanted that ring.
Chris Paul wants the race.
You don't think Chris Paul wants to ring?
So how important is rings then?
It is very important.
Very, yes.
The most important.
Yes, you know why it's important because they want to be able to be at that table.
You see when Michael Jordan and.
I know, so who's number one?
If rings are most important, who's the best player ever then?
You said what?
Its rings are so important who's the best player ever.
It ain't no best player ever, man.
All right, so then rings are not important like that.
Like that's your saying?
Because you're separating team in rings, bro.
You're saying who's the best player?
player ever. We're talking about
rings and team culture.
But that has a major factor.
Like the rings has a major factor
on who's the best player. If y'all
saying that. So if I don't have a
ring and you have a ring, you're considered
better than me. I'll consider the winner.
I've won. I'm a
winner in a champion.
So you're not better. You're not better than me.
No, not. No. In individually,
no. Is Robert Ory
skill-wise better than Charles
Barkley? Or Tracy McGrady? No.
But he won seven of him
But is he a winner?
Hell yeah, he's a winner
Hell yeah, we can go ahead and see
Shit, he's saved
He's saved serious for the Lakers, everything
And you can't take that away from him
In the conversation
You talk about winning
You could say, oh, you ain't never
So he could be
So when it comes to the ring culture
He can be at that table
With everybody with rings
I know, but why did y'all say that?
Y'all saying, so who's better
Jordan and LeBron?
It don't matter who's better
They vote winners
To me?
Because the rings.
Who's a better player?
That's all I hear, because the six rings Jordan is better than
He's the better winner.
Yeah, he's the better winner.
Oh, so he's not the better player?
No, to me, no.
It's objective.
It's who you like.
To me, I think.
You can't convince other people who the better player is because you say.
But you can't use rings to say, but he's better.
That's all I hear.
He's a better winner.
That's why he keeps saying winner at the end of it.
So he's a better winner?
Yes.
And LeBron's a better player.
He won a six championship.
Bill Russell's a better winner
than Michael Jordan.
I can go with that.
The Brian's the better player.
The better winner.
Bill Russell is the better winner.
Bill Russell is the better winner.
But it's the goat if all we care about is winning.
That's what I'm saying.
But there is no goat because all of them have won.
All of these guys in the conversation.
But if I won more, I should be the goat if I want more.
No. No.
Because now you're talking about errors and teams and who we play to get.
But now, see, that's what I'm saying.
Now y'all want to factor in all that.
No, we not.
That's what I was talking about.
You're separating the competition.
conversation from individual from actual team wins, bro.
If Bill Russell won 11 championships in 1922, everybody's going to be like, well, he can't be the best.
He's playing against plumbers.
Jordan did the same thing, though.
Bro.
So then you would say the whoever one, you would say Steph Curry's the best because he's playing against more elite talent and all this shit.
But guess what?
They all won.
They're all sitting at the same table.
No, no, no, no, no.
What do you mean?
I'm saying everybody's one.
I'm saying it got to be a goat.
There ain't no goat.
It has to.
No, it doesn't.
You want it to be so your favorite player can be in the conversation.
But that ain't how it worked because everyone is at this table one.
He's not.
And you can't say who's better than who if y'all ain't ever played against each other.
Main reason why Kobe's not number one.
People don't put Kobe or LeBron number one because of six rings.
Can he stop the cat?
No.
Can he stop the cat?
cap on this couch. No. Please.
What? So, all right, six
rings to a side. Who's the better player
out of all three of them? LeBron James.
The better player between who?
Kobe Jordan and LeBron.
LeBron. Name list all three of them.
Kobe Bryant. All right, who would be two?
Michael Jordan.
I have LeBron James no one.
And I have Kobe too.
I'm with you.
So, I mean, LeBron James.
Because if people evolve, that mean my game evolved.
You just said if we take championship,
Take championship and move them out.
So what are you categorizing
a better player as stats?
Oh no, wait.
Wait, hold on.
Are you saying stats?
Hold on.
My bad.
I'm going LeBron Jordan, Kobe.
My bad.
If we're taking the rings,
we're just taking the rings out and just
what they made you a better player?
Explain that.
What makes you a better player?
No, I'm going to run.
You just said take championships out, bro.
Just explain now.
The people are fucking watching, bro.
Explain.
What makes you want to?
What makes you a,
Do you want to say score?
Just listen to what I can say it.
I can say scoring.
Don't say, don't say anything right now.
Just listen to what I'm saying.
I'm saying what makes you a better player if you're taking championships out of the conversation.
Saying scoring.
Scoring.
Scoring makes you.
So you're saying that because LeBron has.
I gave you one.
Wait.
So you're saying because LeBron has the most points all time, he's the better player?
I can say it.
I can say everything.
You just say it points.
Bob, I gave you one.
I gave you one.
I'm asking you.
Give me something.
I asked you a question.
Okay.
I said, is because LeBron James has the most points in all time history,
is that why you're putting him number one?
He's a better score.
He's a better score.
Why?
I'm a better winner because I got six rings.
Bro.
And I got the most points.
Why are you a better?
I'm putting your stuff in the same box.
Why are you a better score?
Because I got the most points.
Okay.
Why do you have the most points?
Because I got the most points.
Because you've played the most years.
Because I got the most points.
You played the most years.
Who else played the many years?
Michael Jordan played 14 years.
LeBron James is a better overall player than Michael Jordan, by the way.
He's number one in a lot of things.
That's why he's about a player.
How many defense selections did he have?
Not more than Michael Jordan.
How many defensive player to years did he have?
Not more than Michael Jordan.
How many steals leaders did he have?
How many rebounds and blocks did he have?
What assists does he have?
The most.
Who?
LeBron.
Okay.
So, are we talking about defense?
I said offense.
Nigger, we're talking about, he said overall player, nigga.
I said offense.
What are you talking about?
He said overall.
So we're talking about overall.
He's a better winner and defender.
He can't say no defense.
He's a better winner and defender than him.
Okay.
Who?
That's what you're saying.
How many scoring titles does Michael Jordan have?
How many points does he have overall?
How many scoring titles?
How many points does he have overall?
How many scoring titles of the Bronn James have?
The Bronn.
Two.
We have two.
Michael Jordan has nine scoring titles.
Jordan is the better winner.
And 14 years.
14 years, I have nine scoring titles and you have two scoring titles.
Why is Jordan the better win?
Why is Jordan better to win?
He's talking about it.
Bro, the 90s was trashed.
So now we're talking about the 90s.
The 90s was trashed.
John Starks.
Come on, man.
Look who he's going against.
Bro.
Nagy.
Mike can't play against nobody.
What's the top five shooting cards?
He can't play against nobody in the 90s.
A subjective list, Maggie, that's not through interpretation by whoever you ask.
All that all that plan with your back to the basket basketball, man, get that shit out of here.
The 90s is trash.
Is David Iglo?
All that.
That's that 40.
All that back to the basket.
All that doing this.
All that doing this and doing this, doing that.
That's what Michael Jordan was doing?
No, the 90s.
That's what Michael Jordan was doing?
The 90s was doing?
That's what Michael Jordan was doing?
It was a big man era.
It was a big man era.
Listen, LeBron era, we play right here.
We got to bring that.
You got to bring that up right here.
LeBron was not playing like that.
What are you talking about?
What is he playing like that?
No.
LeBron right here to your face.
Mike was never like that.
Mike, give me in a triangle.
Mike, give me in a triangle in the 90s era.
Back to the basket.
Y'all know people watching.
Stop paying me, bro.
I don't care.
The 90s was trash.
Obviously, you don't care because you're just making up shit.
90s was trash.
He's just making up shit.
Michael, Michael Jordan fade away.
The MJ fade away?
The watered down 90s.
Remember when Larry Burdenin was saying that shit?
The water down 90s, trash.
He ain't playing.
So all the players in the 90s was trash.
No, I'm just saying the competition.
Who was on the Olympics team?
All the players in the 90s were bad.
I didn't say all the players.
I said.
Y'all just going to say they have to be just gonna disres.
They brought a motherfucker backfruit with AIDS and a nigga with his back broke.
Yeah, they have to be.
They have to be.
That's the way.
Listen, no.
On a dream team, I'm not talking about.
If it was so cold, you don't need magic and birds.
You disrespected niggas.
Don't even know you swear, you just disrespect the niggas.
You don't need, if you don't need.
Why do you have to go to the extreme to try to prove a point?
I'm not.
Then you are.
There was out the lead.
Disrespecting.
I'm not.
You are a basketball, bro.
It's the whole era of basketball.
You're disrespectful.
All right, name the top.
I'm just to ask you.
Name the top five guard.
It's insane, man.
Name the top five shooting cards in the 90s.
It's insane.
Y'all echoing each other.
Y'all know that, right?
Jinks.
Personal jinks.
Personal jinks.
I'm bad.
Personal jinks.
I get to sock you.
Hey, wow.
What a clock on me.
No violence.
No violence in Gil's arena.
Sock it to them.
Mr. Big.
To him.
No violence in Gil's arena.
We keep an amicable in Gil's arena.
When I get to the,
next time because these niggas is trolling.
These niggas is troll.
Can we get the top?
Tell us.
Can we get the talk box?
Damn it and the guard.
Can we get from 90 to 96?
He did.
From 90 to 96.
He did.
Michael Green did play with his back to the basket.
He was over here.
Let's shift over to.
Doing all that.
Hey, y'all, the guy that has no business doing on his couch,
I have no credentials to talk about the game.
But somehow, I'm backing up the 90s and the 2000s.
I don't know why.
The golden era.
A basketball.
The golden era.
Man, you don't dope.
Clydexter.
Clydexter told me.
He wasn't even in the 90s, really.
He was older than.
No, no, no.
He just looked older than.
Yeah, Clyde was.
Who are you talking about?
Clive and ties up.
Clydexter told me to my face.
He was better than Kobe Bryant.
I said, man.
Hey, man, where's the check to my dinner?
I want to hear that.
When did Clydex?
Talking about I would be, I'm just as good as COVID.
When did Clyde was.
I said, Clyde, you couldn't even stop Michael Jordan.
Draft in 83?
No, but I love fly, though.
I love playing.
I like Clymer.
I like Clyde.
Clyde me talking shit.
Clyde be talking shit.
Let's shift over to contemporary basketball.
So Adam Silver, the NBA commissioner, made an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show Wednesday,
discussed a variety of topics, which included flopping and foul baiting, where he offered these thoughts.
How about the flopping?
Flopping?
Big conversation, Mr. Commissioner.
So, yeah, it's, and it's been a conversation.
I would only say that there's a difference between.
selling a call, exaggeration, and a true flop, which is where you're actually fooling the
referees. I think sometimes even as I sit in the stands at games, players may be falling down,
players may be reacting to a call, but then to me, if they're not fooling the referees, it's like,
okay, that's like the players are taught to sell calls these days. I mean, can officiating get
better? Can officiating get better? Of course. We're always working on that. Can officials get fooled
occasionally? We're always looking at as well. But the officiating is incredible.
So is Adam Silver spitting or tripping?
The NBA officiating has been incredible.
Can we stop the narrative of Shay?
A lot of SGA's slitting.
He's spitting.
He's spitting fat.
That doesn't sound like a rumor.
You ever seen a nigger's start a rumor and then try to address the rumor at the same time?
Yeah, you started the rumor.
Why are you addressing the rumor?
You started.
You know, you put in and implemented flopping will be an offensive foul.
There were fines involved in a lot of different.
All of that was implemented, and not one time have we seen an offensive call on a flop and a fine implemented on a flop.
So here we are.
There's been fines for flopping.
When?
Not this year.
Not this year.
Not this year.
We've seen more flopping this year than end-time.
Mark's got one a couple years ago.
We talk about some motherfuckers.
What are we talking about, man?
We don't be knowing what he'd be saying.
I think he'd say shit and he'd be like, I'm kind of pleased to, yeah.
He isn't listening to what?
what he's saying, like, bro, you literally just said that the refs are missing calls.
If the rest are missing calls, well, I mean, it might not.
What?
Bro, they're missing calls.
He's flopping.
He's falling on the floor.
But can we stop the narrative with Shay, though?
Back-to-back MVP, Swaggy.
With all four clips of Shay, like, even my kids seven said OKC got their own rulebook.
Like, can he stop?
Can the world stop with the Shay flopping?
Like, he leads to lead in Fritos?
This is crazy.
I don't think they're complaining about that.
But they show Shay four different times.
But why are they showing him, though?
Because he's falling.
No.
No, because he's a...
Because that's the narrative.
Because he's falling.
Like, Luca...
Luca should have been on your course.
Lops, right?
Hey, hey, you hit me.
But he's not falling like this.
Joel and B. falls a lot.
I mean, so Brunson don't fall as much,
but he falls, but he don't fall as much.
Shea...
Every time.
Yeah, but you don't have to fall to fill the call.
Yeah, but it's a international thing.
It's a European thing.
I mean, come on, man.
Sabon is just to do it.
Yeah.
Come on, man, this thing has been.
They're not falling like this.
But what I'm saying, flopping and doing all that stuff for fouls broke.
It's been happening.
It's been happening.
Yeah.
Like, it's brought it in.
Why do you think they make the rule that you can get, you can get fine for a flop because it got out of hand.
No, because James and them was doing the foul bait and shit.
We got to start putting something in on this.
Yeah, but that's.
That was bullshit though, the flopping for James.
Because if you're, if I'm doing this,
because no, it was a foul.
No, I will give James, if you're doing this,
that's a foul.
That's a foul.
Like I'm sorry.
We were taught, we were taught these things.
Yeah.
Officer players are taught how to get an advantage
over the defense.
We do that.
We do that when we're training.
But the flopping was not a part of that.
Stop digging for that.
That's not a part of it.
All of that is smart offer.
Hey.
That's the difference.
You're selling it, right?
Yes.
That's selling the call.
That's why they stopped using that as a foul when we was, you get your hand in the cookie jar?
That's a foul.
They stopped calling it.
I don't know why.
Because we're using it as a, we're baiting the foul.
Well, stop digging for gold.
They stopped making it a free throw.
They stopped making it a free throw.
They stopped making it free throws.
It's on the side.
Still a foul.
Right?
But look, that's what we're saying.
Like, Shay's getting two free throws on fowling and flopping when it should just be ball on the side.
Or foul, man.
It's an offensive foul.
You can't, why are you flopping and selling the call, bro?
You don't need to do that.
He got a land.
That's the thing. You gotta let me land.
But he's doing this.
I used to sell calls. I ain't gonna lie.
I got that shit from Reggie Miller.
I used to kick my feet out on every shot.
Yo, Joe, what was the question again?
Mr. Be, there are no questions in life.
Only answers.
What was he?
Spinner tripping, saying the NBA's officiating has been incredible.
Yeah, I think we have the best reps ever.
Yeah, because you got to look at our game the way it's played.
Our game is very fast, and we only have three race.
out there and it's actually the hardest game to ref.
I feel like if you go to NFL, NFL has seven different reps.
If we had the best...
No, no, no.
If we had the best...
If we had the best...
Why are they getting AI to help?
I don't agree with the AI.
There's only one AI that they need help for.
Yeah.
I don't agree with the AI.
I think we should have...
I think we should have two more, two or three more refs on the baseline
so where guys can roam around, right?
Because the NFL...
No, because... well, the NFL has seven.
That's not like a prisoner, right?
But there's 22 players on the field in the NFL.
Yeah, but they have two players.
They have seven and they still, you know, they still be missing stuff to all the time.
Two more on the baseline to where they can be able to see certain things.
Like, just another eye.
But an AI, like, I definitely wouldn't do that.
There's only to see more shit when you're looking right at the damn play
and you're deciding not to call it.
Didn't ugly ass Tony say, I'm the judge or jury and the executioner.
That is why he literally is saying, I call what I want, when I won't,
and ain't nobody going to do shit about it.
No, no.
Why do you think they bring them in for certain games?
No.
Why do you think they bring Scott Foster in for certain games?
So go get two more reps on the sidelines so we can see this shit.
So if you're going to bring that, listen, you need another eye.
Why AI?
Just go get two guys.
Fuck, they already be doing this and then you got to go up there and the rest got to look at the boat.
So imagine that.
All right, let's talk about that.
So what's the difference?
Let's talk about that.
Let's talk about it.
So what's the difference?
Let's talk about it.
If you challenge the play, and I'm a coach, I challenge the play.
That should just have more challenges.
And the play gets overturned.
Shouldn't the ref be penalized for that overturned call?
Yeah, that shit happens.
You made a call.
I said, that's some bullshit.
Let's read me that.
No, that didn't happen.
And then it didn't happen.
You made the wrong call.
Penalty.
The integrity of the game.
Now, let's say do a plus minus for the refs.
At the end of the game, Tony Brom.
brothers got a negative 14 because he missed four calls, six in the middle, he got eight right.
Hey, listen, man, they better give your percentage because that's what I would put on the
bad enough.
They better give you a...
How many, how many motherfuckers is Tony going to miss the day?
So think about it if we had more challenges.
If we had more challenges, if we could challenge more shit, it would be like, yo, Tony brothers is trashed tonight.
Hey, what would be a foul though?
brother's going to call against O'KC.
Or, well, will be a foul.
Or, like, how many...
What would be a foul, though?
Unethical official.
What you mean?
What you'd be a foul?
Some stuff you might not think is a foul.
But that's what we're talking about, when you do the fucking challenge.
We're going to have the most calls tonight.
I'm trying to do the three rounds.
Hey, listen, pay the man.
You got a pay the man right here.
I understand.
If you think about that, if we have more challenges, then this is what I say.
I say more challenges.
They would have more bad calls.
We would actually see more bad calls.
I'll say more challenges.
When we playing LA Fitness and shit, right?
A nigga call a bad call, right?
We cheat like, we cheat like a hell.
We'd be like, now that was my ball or you called foul.
Like, Favre.
Like, bro, I didn't touch you.
Like, nah, that's me.
Because I miss a-
But if we gonna act like that for real and real time,
stop coming to play.
For sure.
And we spend two hours.
He called every single call.
You take the ball.
But now-
Hey, look, challenge.
Challenge that.
Man, listen.
Tony to miss six calls in a row
Well, we challenged six of them in a row
They was all wrong
Why he keep revving
Why y'all keep picking him?
He's terrible.
Sometimes you could just really be a terrible ref.
So instead of lying and saying the reps are incredible,
they are.
Let's be real.
They are.
You know what I, Tony?
We have the greatest rest ever.
Just like the players can be better.
Yeah, they can be better.
The players are better.
They're just more skilled
and they just, look, it's the hardest game to ref,
we are moving at a hundred.
More. Would he miss, with his points per game?
Listen, I agree with that.
Listen, I agree with that.
But at the end of day, you can't be mad because I can sell it.
Like, I'm a good actor.
Like, this is entertainment right at the end of day.
But if we do this and you're trying to sell a car.
Was James Flopin?
And it's not a sell.
And we're like, that's not a foul.
But you got to think about the court that we're playing on.
You got 10, you got 10 guys on the court and the court is small.
We're touching, we're touching each other every time.
So the skill and the IQ of us being able to trick rep.
I mean, bro, that's just how good we are.
I get that.
And I get that.
I get that.
We have the hard, the refs in the NBA have the hardest job ever, bro.
But if you get two more reps.
Like, the NFL is easier.
Like, I'd rather go do the NFL or anything.
Bro, it's seven, it's seven of us out here.
I think of them.
We got three.
We got three eyes.
I can get two more reps, bro.
It's going to be way more foul.
Yeah.
It's going to be more files.
They got to stick together.
Riffs are like the game.
Okay, do you want that or not?
Okay, so what's the, okay, so what the fuck are we complaining for that?
Because you keep.
Why are we?
Why are we can play?
Do we want the game to go faster or do we want to sit here and watch a four-hour game?
We want to stop the flopping.
No, we're not going to, no.
We want to stop the flopper.
If I'm good enough, if I'm, bro.
We want to, the flopping is slowing the game down just as much as two more reps with it.
Not touching me.
Yes, that's what it is.
It's a physical game.
It's a good.
No, you're not.
Yes, I am.
Yes, I am.
Yes, I am.
You're falling on the ground.
That's not the first person to do that.
Lou Williams used to do that all the time.
No, nobody respected that shit.
Yes, they did.
Bucket.
Oh.
That's the budget.
That's a button.
It was a ballad.
No, man, get in the fucking weight room.
No, no, no, no.
No, no.
You don't have to.
That's true.
You don't have to.
Everybody's not.
I'm trying.
Get your core strong, nigger.
God, you make me like that.
If I blow on you or you fall, man, that's some weak-ass shit, man.
That's some weak-ass shit, man.
Why do you want to touch somebody?
No, man, you want AI to be in there.
That's some weak-a-2-80.
No, I just want you to don't fall when I blow on you.
You are, come on, bro.
How?
Come on, my, man.
Are you good?
Let's get up.
I didn't even hit you.
Look,
I didn't even wet
Friday.
It ain't even wet over there,
Nick, get up.
Man, listen, if Rashad is...
They ain't even wet over there.
Listen, if Rashad is...
Nobody want to be that.
Man, listen, man, Rast...
It ain't even wet over there.
Nobody want to be that.
But you're falling for it's a foul.
Listen, it ain't a foul.
Listen, in Bratine...
I call out.
Being soft.
No.
You being too damn strong.
You being too soft.
Shit, this is a finesse game.
We're in the gym.
I'm not in the gym.
I'm in the gym and you're not even in the gym.
We're in the gym and you not even in the gym.
You're in the wrong damn gym.
I'm in both.
No, you're not.
No, you're not.
No, you're not.
No, you're not.
I'm spending too much time in the other gym.
No, you're not.
I'm daggering your ass.
No, you're not.
So what is we talking about?
Stop out.
And then you're mad because I'm locking your ass up.
No, no.
You're like, come on, man.
No, no.
No, you stop being a little bitch.
No.
No, how about you go play football?
Damn.
All that shit that you're doing.
Go play football.
Cut.
All right. How about that?
Relax.
No, because he, because he, because he want to go lift me.
A little bitch, nigga.
A bitch?
No, because he want to go, because he want to lift.
Everybody looks like, bouquets out there.
Yeah, he want to be out there.
350.
You finally got some shit right.
A defend Harlow.
A Defend Harle.
A Defian Hart, nigga.
What's up?
Oh, you're a hack.
I am a fucking hack.
God.
Exactly.
I got six fucking fat.
Exactly.
So this brings me my next question.
Obviously, SGA has been the side.
subject of a lot of slander as is like.
You know, they talk about
being Canadian, the flopping, all that, but did spend
the last two years of high school here in the States,
went to Kentucky. So it has a lot of American
influence in this game, is the point? But is flopping
and foul-bating as big a deal if people are making it out
to be? Or do people just like to be mad at shit?
No. We're just like to be mad at it. We're watching
the game, Joe. People are mad at everything.
You're watching the game. They hate greatness,
you're watching it. People hate
enjoy Bucket. You're watching. When you like getting
buckets and watching, like you just said, bucket
getting. People hate greatness,
But when you fall in to get to the Frito line and you don't have to,
because She wasn't doing that in college and he wasn't doing that his first three-year-old.
He learned from Lou.
You picked this up.
Chris Paul.
Put it down.
No.
Put it down.
Put that shit down.
Because you don't.
His game, his game actually don't need it.
He really don't need it.
He don't need it.
He don't need it, though.
Brunson needs it because he's six foot.
Stay is one and six foot.
Stop doing that.
That's why AI.
That's why you couldn't guard AI because he was eight foot.
He was a boat.
It's going to stay on top.
That's why behaving on Shay.
Huh?
He's what?
He's on top.
He's number one.
MVP.
No, because he has a high IQ and he can fall out of the game.
Now he's flopped.
Everybody does it.
How about you just stop fouling?
How about you just not smarter than me?
How about you just not?
That's why I got two-time MVP.
Ain't they tie, Wimby and Shay?
I think Shia's, how about you go tell Wimby?
How about you go watch SGA and have some IQ like that?
How hell that win-be-got?
Shit.
No, it wouldn't be-borne.
If everybody's falling, like the whole OkC team.
It wouldn't be born.
The whole Oklahoma City Thunder team is falling on the fucking ground, bro.
Did you see how fucking, what we're going to say for no reason?
You thought that was about?
Williams running to Kelden Johnson for no reason and just fall?
Did you see Pumbley and the other, the, uh, the dude come in there and do all that shit?
What the fuck you're talking about?
He over here talking about, I got one more for you.
What the hell?
Bismack Bion.
Nothing, bro.
Bidembe yom.
I got one more for you.
Man, leave a homie alone.
All he wanted to was paint his nails and get buckets.
Relax.
Leave him alone.
No.
You ain't see how he fell on the ground too.
He hit my man in the throat and then just fell on the ground.
Oh, that was bull.
Come on, bro.
This ain't no TikTok video.
Relax.
Beez-Mexamombo.
Relax.
You don't have to fall on all.
Drake just came out.
It's life skin time.
I see.
A beeee, whatever that shit is called.
Licekin time.
Oh, yeah.
They got to July.
I'm letting y'all know that right now.
No.
When I get this, after July, when the son,
Chocolate meat, y'all, y'all better go back inside.
Because it's our time.
We have taken the streets over.
We do what we want to do it.
Y'all got to July and it's our time.
After that, right after Summer League, I'm gonna be dark as hell.
The lights in the community tribe.
We do get back.
We're going to be chocolate.
They're going to be, ooh.
McKinsey, you're going to be on.
They can be on you.
They're going to be like, Rashide.
If I ain't snowing, I ain't going, I ain't worried about it.
Well, I mean, vanilla like vanilla, shit.
Well, I mean, I mean,
You said vanilla like vanilla.
Vanilla.
We talked about the chocolate and vanilla.
We talked about the automated replay.
It's also listened to what Adam Silver had to say about automated replay coming in the league soon.
I think in terms of replay, I think we're going to get the point fairly quickly where, for example, out of bounds, the very play that you were talking about.
Chet Hunter and his foot, it's big deal.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I think where, just like, you know, if you're a tennis fan and they have what they call
hawkeye and it's like the animation do do do do and do it and you quickly see you know where the line was and the ooze and oz and oz and the crowd it touched the line or it was out of bounds we're going to move to a system like that where that whole category of calls will be automatic where you know it's it's going to be you know laker ball nick ball whatever it is you know you know thunderball you know those calls will be done by an AI automated system with cameras lined around the court and it'll take all of those so-called objective
out of the hands of the referees.
It'll just be, it'll be instantaneous,
it'll be automatic, just play on, you know,
let's go, you know, spurs inbound,
and you'll move on.
You won't have to deal with challenges on those calls,
but it'll also allow the officials
on the more difficult, subjective calls
to give their full attention to the...
He said Lakers ball.
He did.
But he knew where he was going to go.
I am a big fan of ABS in baseball.
It makes it exciting now,
and I like to see umpires get clown.
It's different.
I'm playing the shoulder.
If we do that in literally, we get ejected,
so you have to use it discreetly.
So that's how you got to sneak them with the head tap real quick.
But are you guys rolling with the NBA using AI automated replay?
Wait, what they do?
What they do?
So in baseball, if you think it's a bad, if they call a ball a strike,
you can just.
Or vice versa, you think it's a strike and they call the ball.
Because they show the strike zone.
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we don't have that in literally,
but we still hit the umps with that just to disrespect them.
Facts.
Two-time Little League champion.
See, he capping right there.
See, now he capping.
Because if you're trying to take after with tennis, tennis has been doing this forever.
So I'm trying to figure out with the way the NBA makes so much money why you ain't been doing this.
When the guy, you're in tennis?
No, I'm saying when tennis with the ball, how they say track the ball and all that, how you know it's off the line?
Like they've been doing this for.
For sure, for a long time.
They can't tell which referee is cheating or not, so they're going to slowly implement.
But that was kind of tough, though.
Well, no, I mean, kind of just told on yourself about who really wouldn't leave.
If you're looking from, if you're the ref looking behind, it looks, it looks like it go off from Wimmyfoot.
I can see that.
Oh, that's why the angles of.
Yeah, everybody was right there.
Sitting right there.
That's what I'm saying about the refs.
You see it and you definitely seen it and you decided we're going this.
Nobody was right there, though.
Oh, it was Tony Brothers.
We're watching.
No, he wasn't.
Go back.
Tony brother was on that.
No, he was on the beach.
He was on this side.
It was James or Tony that was on the base.
This person and this person doesn't...
You know what's the fact that we can call us out today?
Hey, Tony Brothers, ref, oh, yeah, you know what time it is.
No, no, no, no.
I like Tony Brothers.
No, no, I'm not saying I don't like...
Just saying, which reference on this game or you know where...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and then it happens, like, after...
Like, you could tweet before the game and be like, yeah, he's refing tonight.
You know what time it is.
Right?
Results of what he is.
What he was?
Oh, you know what's going to happen?
Spurs one.
I thought he was.
We know NBA is rigged.
The Spurs won.
Foster,
going...
Yeah, the Spurs are winning
tonight, for sure.
Foster's refereeing.
So you know the Spurs.
Just let me know who refting.
Gucci Man?
Zach Zarbah.
Zach.
Guuchy, Maine, James Williams,
Tyler Ford.
Oh, man.
Zach is, sure.
Zach is Little Scott.
Little Scott Foster.
Yeah, but, yeah.
So you know the Spurs won.
Winning, huh?
I don't know, not because James is
OKC.
He got the shades on.
He does wear the shades.
He does wear the shades.
He dared to make it close.
No, he did.
to take it over the top.
You know, the rough job?
Reply, automated replay?
It's going to be tight and whoever hit the game, we're going to win.
Yes, I am.
Yes.
That's also annoying, because I do like human error by referees.
That's what makes the game fun too, to be able to curse them.
But that's part of the game.
That's why I said they have the, they're the greatest rest ever because they have the hardest job ever.
You are reffing against 10 guys out there that are moving at 100 miles an hour.
Come on, man.
You're not blind.
You're not blind.
Tony, you've seen that shit.
Man, look, I can't see everything.
Yeah, I can't see everything.
I can't.
Who paying you?
The fans, the fans, I'm over there looking at the popcorn.
I'm hungry.
I'm behind shit.
You don't remember this saying?
Half the reps got a pissing shit.
Checks in the mail.
But that two points then changed the game.
That didn't change the game though.
But that didn't change the game.
But you're checking the mail, though.
They won by more than two points.
You know what else we said in the huddle?
Man, it's eight on five tonight, guys.
You gotta do a lot more than this.
We got more effort.
Why is when he losing a ball like that?
Blame the player.
They went off somebody else's foot.
Because he lost the ball.
You tried to give it to them.
He lost the ball.
Off his foot.
He lost the ball.
Fucking weak ass if he never lose the ball.
Let's move on to our last topic of the day before we prepare for game six of the Western Conference Final.
That was pretty fun.
Thank you, Swaggy.
It's okay, man.
I won today, though.
You can't recreate.
I cooked you.
Hey, this seat right here?
On which one?
You know who I was?
You can't recreate.
You can't.
I cooked you today.
Which one?
I cooked you today.
Which one?
Donovan Mitchell.
And Brian.
You lost that one.
I cooked both of y'all.
You lost that one.
You lost that one.
On that ring shit, you're trying to say?
You lost that Donovan Mitchell.
You lost that Donovan Mitchell.
I'm going back.
I'm coming back.
You're not even in.
You're not even real person right now.
The way I cooked y'all back now.
Cook two.
It wasn't me.
That wasn't me.
You lost that Donovan.
That wasn't me.
That wasn't me.
And that ring one.
Making a peanut butter sandwich is not cooking, bro.
Cook, all.
It's not the same thing.
If you put butter in the pan and then you...
Uh-huh.
You know, put that spatula on there?
Yeah, on the bread.
Boy, make that shit buttery and toasty.
Butter with peanut butter jelly?
Man, you ain't never had no buttery bread.
Oh, my God.
Well, you got to put that butter on that bread, buddy.
You got butter in the back of your teeth and shit.
It was like...
Fire. Try it when you get home.
That's high cholesterol.
Hey man, we all gotta go some day.
Biggs.
Yeah.
So we have some breaking news, obviously.
The tanking reform.
So NBA border governors voted to expand the lottery and address the tanking problem.
So tanking become a major issue in the NBA.
Bottom, third of the league appearing to be actively engaging,
tricking off games to improve their lottery odds.
But for the first time in league history, there were eight different teams with 55 plus losses.
Also saw the most 30-point blowouts in league history this season.
So recently, League revealed a new anti-tanking reform being dubbed the 3-2-1 lottery.
League governors voted on that today and approved it.
So the new reform seeks to stop teams from deliberately losing games to improve their hopes of landing a top draft pick.
So let's take a look at some of the initiatives under this proposal.
The lottery would expand from 14 to 16 teams, including.
a relegation zone where the bottom three teams would get penalized with fewer lottery balls
for the number one pick.
Teams that don't make the playoffs or plan, but stay out of the relegation zone would
each get three lottery balls.
No team will be allowed to win the top pick in two consecutive drafts or get a top five
pick in three straight drafts.
And teams cannot protect picks in the 12 to 15 slots.
So we have a visual representation of how the new artery lodge will look courtesy of Sportico's
Leve Aqabas.
So teams with the fourth through 10th
Worth records would have three lottery balls each
and an 8.1.1% chance at the number one pick.
Teams with the NBA's bottom three records
and the 11th through 14th worst records
would have two balls each and a 5.4% shot
at the number one overall pick.
And the two teams that lose
the 7.V.A. playing game would each get
a 2.7% shot at the number one pick.
So on a recent competition committee call,
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said
we should have a system where you should have to lose.
It shouldn't be a badge of honor.
Losing should be uncomfortable.
Under this new system,
Silver would also be able to directly penalize teams for tanking,
including fines up to $10 million,
forfeiting or removing first-round picks,
reducing lottery odds for the number one pick,
suspending front office executives,
and in extreme cases,
altering a team's draft position.
So this initiative is looking to start
with a 2027 draft run through 2029
with reevaluation after that.
So, shall start with you, is the league spitting or tripping with the anti-taking draft lottery reform that just got approved by the Board of Governors?
It's interesting to say the least.
It's going to change a lot of different things, I believe.
Because it's like you look at teams that were tanking this year, like Utah and Dallas, and to lose that integrity amongst the fans and try to figure out what you want to do based on your GM and the people you hire in the front.
in office can't get the job done.
That's usually to me is what's happening.
You're not making the right trades.
You're not acquiring the right free agents.
Then you go out there and lose on purpose to try to get a draft pick.
That's a younger guy that's already, you already got a bunch of young guys.
You're getting more young guys and you're going to be losing in the future because you've
got young guys and you're waiting on them to pan out like an OKC or one of these younger
teams that's done it the right way.
I think that if you put the right people in place.
for the executives, you'll get better outcomes.
I think a lot of these teams is dealing with people
who don't know what the fuck they're doing.
They don't know nothing about scouting.
They don't know nothing about talent.
They're just going out there and trying to increase the ROI.
And that's usually the reason why teams continue to lose
and they're a graveyard because they keep hiring the wrong people
in the positions that need to put talent in.
And so now you're dealing with tanking.
And the owners are taking the hit for it.
So I think the owners need to make better decisions
of who they put in position to hire people.
But you got new CBA aprons, all these things going on.
Tanking, like we said, nothing new.
I think nothing new for sports leagues.
NFL's always just done it.
You have the worst record in the league.
You get the number one pick.
And you don't really hit their fans bitching about tanking.
But you stripped over here.
Swaggy, is the league spitting or tripping with these anti-tanking?
I say tripping, man, because sometimes teams are just ass.
You know, some teams just can't win.
Like, shit, Dallas.
I don't think they had a chance.
Utah.
I don't think no matter what they did, they didn't have a chance.
Wizards, for sure.
Some teams are just bad.
So now they're getting penalized for being a real, actually, bad team.
Sometimes injuries happen like with Boston.
They would have probably, or Indiana.
I mean, with Indiana.
Things happen.
So, because Hannaberg got hurt, now I remember we're dead last, we got to be penalized
like we wanted to be here.
We just went to the finals, now we in the lottery.
Sometimes they're just bad.
And then I think it takes away from the players that's coming out.
I don't think they'll be seeing, like, well, they're going to put people on teams they want them to be on,
but it's going to be harder to put the LeBrons on the team.
because some guys are going to go to good teams and it's hard to, like you need that player to go through the ups and downs and losing.
It's hard to be a superstar and come to an OKC, and now you're coming off the bench.
That's the number one pick.
You're trying to find your way like Cooper Flag was in the beginning.
It's going to be tough.
Some people can't make it through that.
There's been talk about broadcasting the live portion of the draft lottery selection process with the paying bomb balls just to keep it transparent so fans can see exactly what's going down because we hear all those rumors and reports and rumblings.
Shady things going on behind closed doors.
But Mr. B, what do you think about the league's new anti-taking reform?
Again, Board of Governors approved it today in a vote.
I don't see it lasting too long.
Nick said, some teams are just ass.
And you just can't help it.
But, I mean, if I looked at that, it said, well, from 4th to 10, you have an 8% chance
of being the number one pick.
So, I mean, just stay between there.
All right.
If this came, with this new rule, if this happened, I mean, the Spurs wouldn't be who they are
because they had three years back to back.
Yeah, three years with top five picks.
You've got the, the Jasmine Grizz is in the situation now with that Jaron Jackson Jr. trade.
But that grizzy's pick may be less valuable.
You can't get three years in a row, top five.
You can't get back-to-back number one pick.
So, I mean, we'll just see, you know, but it's going to be hard.
I mean, but if, I mean, it's going to be hard to tell teams to, oh, they're tanking.
I mean, I don't know how you're going to be able to really prove that if your team is just ass.
Man.
But, I mean, just being four.
I would just stay between four and ten.
That's hard to do, though, if you just ask.
Like some would say the calves were tangy in the east.
Eastern Commerce Finals, but we know that not to be the case
because they'd have no interest
to do that. Sometimes teams would just...
Sometimes teams are just... Sometimes the organization is just...
Yeah, sometimes the team is just... Yeah, sometimes
the team was just better. I don't see it going
that... I mean, so it goes
into what next year? Like,
what this year going in, right? I believe about
20, 27. I don't see the Wizards being
with the team they had this
year. I don't see him being in that
fourth, I mean, what is it, the five
through eight or five through nine,
four through nine? I don't see them being
that spot even if they tried their
artists.
So what if, like, teams get it...
So say if, like, the Lakers, like, knocking on wood,
like, say if Luca get hurt or, like,
and they're making a run, and then next thing you know,
they lose and now they're at the bottom.
Like, you've got to get penalized for that
because you lost your best player?
No, they're saying the things that you're doing
to tank. You're actually losing
games on purpose.
Yeah, but what if you're just asked?
Like, Indiana. Like, Indiana.
That's not the criteria. It's like Utah was taking their
players out of the game and not putting them back in the game so that they had a better chance
of losing the game. That's tanking. Like you're literally have guys healthy and you're saying
we're going to bring them out of the game when we're up six. So and then these guys that we had
on the floor could help us win but we're taking them out of the game. Then you're saying,
all right, these four guys are now out for the season with injuries. So is this a way,
so is this a way to make guys earn their money?
In a sense because now you're going to have media like ourselves, like ESPN,
all these different outlets talking about, well, shoot, why did Coach then put him back in
with six minutes ago and they could have won the game?
Like, is he trying to tank?
Like, this is like, you know what I'm saying?
So it's just, it's just drama.
And why he always got to fix the NBA?
Like, why nobody else league got to get.
That's another one, too.
Like, why we got to fix everything?
I've never seen him I'd say, in the field, got to fix some shit.
That's a fact.
Baseball got to fix this shit.
It's always something from all-star weekend.
I mean, goddamn swagging list.
I mean, shit.
Why?
Why do everybody feel like that shit has to change?
Why does shit have to change?
So people don't take in the NFL?
You're saying they don't.
Listen.
They don't take in baseball?
Shit don't need to change if it's going well, right?
So if you have something highly successful, you don't need to change it.
If it's going good.
If I got the number one quarterback and I know he could change my.
franchise. You're telling me they don't change
for that quarterback to be number one?
I don't see that millions of times. If I got the number one
show on the internet, there's no reason for me
to change it. You're number one because
you're true. All right. You know, man,
that's crazy. There's no reason for me to change.
NFL's perfect. Baseball is
perfect. NBA is fucked up.
Why is it fucked up? Because
we see that you're trying to change some shit.
No, no.
No, no. I don't change.
See, y'all take advantage of the change.
Well, business is the reason why it changes.
I mean, we know that.
We're not, like, you know,
like, you know what I'm not?
Like, I mean, said, this is not A&U or high school.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
You just prepared it to the other sports.
I'm not saying why I mean, the only one.
Yeah, but you just said, yeah, but you just said why you're not, okay, if NBA is number one,
yeah, like, why do we have, like, NBA is not number one?
Like, the field should change their old probo.
In the field should change their probo.
Like, you're talking, like, far as who we are, yes.
Like, far as, as, as, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I know, I know, no, I know,
I know the NFL makes way more money than us, yes, because of...
No, so far as the biggest sport in the world.
Okay, soccer, football, what else?
In the world.
I don't know what I'm not too much about.
No, soccer is.
No, no.
Not out here, no.
No, I know.
Not in the States.
No, but we're talking about...
Bro, the world.
The world.
Let's talk about America.
Okay.
Okay.
Football is bigger.
Yeah, football, I mean, they play...
I know, but visual...
I know.
No, for short.
No, with that part, they can't, yes.
We get that part.
Visibly?
Visibility?
Yeah, popularity.
I mean, shit.
Visibility?
Visibly?
I mean, would you say we make more money then?
Guarantee.
No, baseball is the most money.
Mm-hmm.
You're right.
It takes a long time to get that bread, though.
Yeah, because the minor liege and all the stuff.
They will jam you up for a foot.
I won't give you $450.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no.
No, listen, you'll be sitting on $500 million and getting paid to your 60.
I know, but that don't mean you pay you pay.
With the Dodgers they just signed for 275, I think.
We are more marketable.
But how long, how many years, though?
For, four years.
275, four years?
Four years, 240.
240.
How many years?
He's the highest paid on the Dodgers.
I already know Tani.
How much.
He deferred his bread, good man.
I thought Tani signed for almost a billion dollars.
Like $700, but he, he, he, he, he, he, he,
deferred it. Oh yeah, he passed on that.
Team player.
Shut the fuck. He didn't pass
on a billion dollars. He's going to get his
bread eventually.
But I do
agree with Skrakeg. Like, why do we always have to
change? Like, why are we always the biggest
thing? Oh, oh man, we got
to stop 18-year-olds from coming through the league.
They have a year. We got to do this. Yeah, we got to have this.
It's like, it's always some change.
Like, is it like... The players change when you
talk about that rule?
Are they mad because the players have more control in the NBA?
No, no, no, because the player talent did,
that they just kept letting coming in the league wasn't like Dwight.
Let's be real.
Let's be real.
Are they, are they, are the, is the world mad because we got more control?
They stop.
Because, man, come on, man, let's be real, bro.
All right.
What about it?
That's what it is.
All-Star weekend.
I mean, yes, it is the best.
I mean, yes, it's.
Nobody would be like, man, I can't wait to go to Pro Bowl all-Star weekend for the end-of-
If we go to other sports, if we go to other sports, if we go to a
The other sports, right? Okay, who are the best players in their sports?
Which sports you're talking about?
Football, hockey, baseball. Like, you know?
Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, what, like, what demographic, like, you know, who are the best players from their sports? Like, why do we...
Like, that's the real question, though.
Hatchel Hoh-Hol-Tani, pitching and hitting home rounds at the same time in the same game?
Like, that's entertaining. They're entertainment.
I know, but what is the NBA...
That one just won, what, three championships in five years?
I know, but what I'm saying is that the end, I feel what's like Swiggin just says something crazy.
Why do we have to change?
Like, why is it that we have to change?
You don't have to change.
You don't have to change.
You're not forced to.
Stephen they said if he don't change the All-Star games, I'm going to cancel.
Like everything, like everything got to change.
Is it because the demographic is black?
I answer it.
Let me answer it.
I'm asking.
It's because the black.
Disney World.
I'm asking.
Right.
Disney World.
Right.
You go to Disney World, right?
and you want to complain about standing in line at the tram
you want to complain about the service right
if you go to the service desk and complain
do you think they're going to change some shit for you
no they're going to tell you know why
get the fast because we got a million people lined up to come
to Disney World every day
we're not about to change the rules because you don't like them
you don't think the NBA don't have that thing
yes they do but they have a choice to whether to allow us
to accept the rule or change it.
You're skipping over the thing.
Like I'm asking you a question.
Like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, because I'm trying to ask you a real question.
Why the NBA, like, why do the NBA have to change?
And you're tap dancing about it.
Okay.
Welcome to the devil.
Let me try again.
Let me try.
They try to, they try to.
Let me use Ibott.
Let me talk to me.
See, that's what you know.
I was being too educated.
My bad.
My bad.
My bad.
Let me use another.
Let me dumb it down.
I know.
You're right.
See, that's what they.
sell out brothers
I talk about that y'all
understand. No, it's not even about that.
Rossos chicken and waffles.
That is, man, this thing's crazy.
You want to go to Roscoose?
And you want to tell them to change
the chicken and waffles to chitlins.
Because I want chitlins when I come to Rosco's
Why are they telling us to change them?
Because I want chitlins when I come here
and you don't got it on the menu.
They don't want chitlins when they go nowhere else?
I want it when I come here.
So you can decide to change your menu or not.
Or tell me, go somewhere else.
Why are we the only sports that have the most changed, though?
Because you're not asking that.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
You know why.
Come on.
What is it?
You tell me why then.
I know why didn't you tell me.
Look at your color.
Look, look.
My color.
Yeah.
What the fuck you said to have?
Because we dominate the league.
That's why.
That's why I'm trying, we're trying to figure out why do we have so much.
Why does everything have to change?
There's nothing else changing in any other sport.
So they don't have black people?
They don't have black people in football?
Who are the best players in football?
Let's go.
What are we talking about?
It's 141.
I got to go check the key of that.
All right, well, let's wrap up today.
Let's wrap up today with our playoff pitch.
I thought that Patrick Hones was half black half white.
Playoff picks.
Go ahead, man.
I got, I'm super hot fire.
I'm amazing.
I'm black.
I'm confused.
I'm confused.
Yeah.
I'm confused.
Let's wrap up today with our playoff picks powered by Underdogs predation markets.
Let's take a look at the updated standing.
These things are on some tap dance.
You are tap dancing.
Hey, y'all niggas tried, but you failed again.

holding down the top box.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Shot second place currently. Mr. B, third.
Swaggy, you're in fourth place winning record though.
And the only player where they have point.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
I might have to go with O KC tonight.
Thunder with a chance to put away the Spurs in game this tonight in San Antonio.
odds in the favor of a game seven though.
I wore this jersey because it might be the last time.
It might be the last time I'm here.
It might be the last time I see these niggas, man.
Win me in the Spurs with a 60% chance to win on their home floor tonight.
S.J. and the Thunder, 41% chance.
It hurt.
To close out the series.
Shout out we're going to start with you.
When we see a game seven in the Western Conference Finals,
came spurred up.
Shout out to Carrie Irvin, man.
Got his new shoes on and shit.
shoes on and shit.
I'm gonna go Spurs.
I'm gonna stick with my guns.
I mean, it seemed like that would be the direction.
It would be disappointing not to.
Swaggy.
We're about to see Wemby shake hand at the six minute mark today.
The six minute to give them two additional minutes.
Going six, well, okay, see.
Or if why, it's with your time to Wimby and the Spurs, Mr. B.
You a hater.
You're a hateer.
How?
Who has a fucking hate?
I just won't thin a
de jibu.
Just say you a hater.
60% chance for the spurs.
Just say it.
That's crazy.
That's under 41%.
It doesn't have to equal.
Wait, who?
Yeah, I'm going to go spurs tonight.
Okay.
What's the first?
You're trying to win.
You're supposed to stay on underdog?
Yeah, on my win.
No, this is all about wins.
Now, I don't care.
I'm not with nothing y'all.
I thought about that.
I thought about that.
I was like, I'm trying to win.
You know what?
I'm trying to win.
I don't care.
I don't care.
I don't care.
The spurs.
I got a 60% chance.
Wherever I'm feeling that day, that's what I'm going to count.
I got to get that.
I got to get my wins.
That means I get doubles then.
You need double?
As you know, I just do higher lower.
Yeah.
You're being desperate right now.
I need the half.
Because it's 60 to 40, 60 40.
You got to do two and a half so you can get to even.
You can even it up.
That's the other half.
60 40.
King, you're going to go with motherfucking OKC for show.
I think it's over in six for sure.
It's over six.
I thought the wolves had a chance in there.
and then.
You was wrong.
You owe me that bet because you bet them winning,
but we ain't going to talk about that.
I did.
