We got a lot of Negroes in here breathing up all the good cold air. Okay. Damn, how many temperature settings you got? He got like multiple. Alright, how many temperature settings you got? Starting point is 00:06:06 All right, we good. So it's our 100th episode on what a journey it's been since launching during Black History Month this year. And we're making some black history ever since. We set out to be the curator of the Common Basketball Show by bringing a unique perspective to the game and to the culture with the lack of chill that you've come to expect from Gilbert Arenas. So let's look back on some of the best moments so far on Gil's Arena. We're joining Underdog Fantasy to launch a new live show, and the contracts are here. Welcome back to Gills Arena presented by Underdog Fantasy. What, what? Welcome, Curry.
Starting point is 00:07:06 What's going on with you, bro? I'm doing fantastic. Appreciate you having me, man. Thank you for coming. You know how you come on the show, you're like a big fan of the show. Oh, we appreciate you. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Thank you. Even though we talking a lot. Welcome back to Gil's Arena presented by Underdog Fantasy. What, what? We got Trae Young with us. What's up with you, bro? What's up, my guys? y'all doing all right? I'm happy to be here.
Starting point is 00:07:26 I wish I had the little, the jumbo charm right here for real. Welcome to Gil's arena. My Adidas comrade, Wow. Oh Zion. What I can say is I do respect brutal honesty. They honest with me, I know what I need to do to fix it. What Gil had, he was the underdog.
Starting point is 00:07:44 So when he became the top dog, that underdog was his foundation, never left. Right. Are you the best point guard ever? Yes. I have, yes. It's me and Magic, it doesn't mean it's the conversation. Gilbert was like one of the first NBA bloggers. Uh-oh. Agent Zero. The angle you spoke at it, it wasn't like disrespectful, but it was funny. And then I remember like, huh, I remember feeling some type of way like,
Starting point is 00:08:30 wait, am I missing something here? Oh, man, we talking sports. I'm going with the Brooke. Good, man. 100,000%. What's wrong with the Spurs? Yeah, what's wrong with the Spurs? I just thought I'm not fucking with the Spurs, man. What happened? What's wrong with the Spurs, though?
Starting point is 00:08:40 I'm fucking with the Spurs, B. I'm not going to put that out there. No, you were here today. I did, didn't I? Hello, everybody. This Spurs, B. I'm not going to put that out there. No, you were here today. I did, didn't I? Hello, everybody. This is Cannon, guys. Oh, it's new? Yeah, I got him like two days ago.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Players go on the podcast and talk to other players, and that's the first time you find out some shit about them. But you've been the beat writer for eight years. They never ask the right question. That's why they got to come to Gil's Arena, presented by $100. It's like you... What was your question again? They never ask the right question. That's why they gotta come to Gil's Arena, presented by $100. It's like you... What was your question again?
Starting point is 00:09:08 Three days. Three days of me knowing you. This Jack Johnson is over, bro. Take me somewhere else. Get me out of here. Let's just start there. Goddamn fool. Help support Gil's Arena. Help us really get to the top.
Starting point is 00:09:25 We were number four previously. We're going for that number one spot now. Monday, we set a new record of over 15,000 live viewers on the show. You said if we got over 12.5,000, you would hit the blunt. The people have spoken, and the time has come Can you verify it's like out though Oh, somebody fired. Somebody just opened the door. They fucking up in the back.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Oh, there we go. There we go. There we go. I wasn't strong enough. Use the arrow. Gil fucking up in the front. So let's go around. What's everybody's favorite moment on Gil's Arena so far?
Starting point is 00:10:32 First episode. We had a vision. Well, we didn't have a vision. We had a concept. We had a concept, and, you know, we got to thank these guys for really believing in something that had no structure to it, just a concept. And they were like, shit, let me know, I'm there. So I have what I'm, I know what I'm trying to do.
Starting point is 00:11:01 That just sometimes don't say it right. And the fact that they really understood that as players, to see that we're still here doing our thing, and just I appreciate everybody who actually bought into the bullshit that I was spitting out at the beginning, and that's why I rock with them. So I'll be hearing people talking about, yeah, get rid of this person. Fuck no. For who? The person who didn't believe in you know the dream, you know, so
Starting point is 00:11:30 You know, I said it's at his hater at first at that first episode first It's not that we went live and then had to shut the live down. It's all good. Yeah Hey, I ain't gonna lie motherfuckers got fired up in the back Motherfuckers got fired that day. I don't know why but mother got fired that day so Right now about yourself. I think stuff when stuff came on bringing on stuff I think that was like bringing on the goat. Thank you for getting to your Rolodex and making that crack for us
Starting point is 00:11:59 Yeah, we're gonna go down and then just I mean overall just coming day, like meeting the producers, everybody that works hard every day on it. Us just committing to this and starting something from scratch. And, you know, the way it's been coming has been great. So I'm just grateful to be here. For sure. So I'm a LeBron fan, but being able to see Steph up close in person and work out changed my whole opinion. I still don't fuck with Steph fans.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Yeah. But Steph Curry's all right in my book I mean, you know, I mean, I'm gonna bring Steph. Yeah, I bought Rich Paul So they could at least bring Brian Let's talk we working on it. He busy Rashad favorite moment so far all hundred Hey you dedicated You me in the chat turning up on the group chat. Hey, I like that.
Starting point is 00:12:50 All hundred, right? Because it's like when Gil ran it by me, it was like, let's just come up and talk shit, man. You know what I'm saying? You out here, just come up whenever. We start in February. Bam, bam, bam. So just fast forward everything and just see how it's developed.
Starting point is 00:13:06 We still just come on here and talk shit. And when you talk shit, especially not just basketball, but just anything competitive, that was our whole vibe. It was like, he a competitor. He don't want to lose any shit. So I know now it's like that's how it's going to be all the time because that's how we are. But it's talk shit basketball. So when you know basketball, you, it's like, that's how it's going to be all the time, because that's how we are. But it's talk shit basketball.
Starting point is 00:13:27 So when you know basketball, you can talk shit basketball. It makes coming to work easy. You know what I'm saying? It's like, I'm about to go ahead. I'm going to win another one. I'm going to cook. I'm going to go ahead and cook these niggas today. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:13:41 And go watch it back later. You feel me? You feel me? You know what I'm saying? I'm appreciative. You know what I'm saying? And go watch it back later. You feel me? You feel me? You know what I'm saying? I'm appreciative. You know what I'm saying? I'll be on that show. But Gil... I've been watching the games.
Starting point is 00:13:57 I'm watching the games. You know what I'm saying? But I appreciate Tim running it by me, man, and giving me the blessing and Gil, of course, but everybody else. You know what I'm saying? Especially Joe, Ken, Lex, B, but everybody else I'm saying like especially Joe Kenyan Lex Be I'm saying everybody that Contributed to the success of 100 and I know we always talk about this, but anytime you make Gil sweat
Starting point is 00:14:19 That's gonna be a good episode We sweat the tough Crowd logo into his sweatshirt. That was my favorite. I told you. And we had the Tough Crowd logo sweated into your sweatshirt, Gil, because you were so hot. Kenyon, how about your favorite moment on Gil's arena so far? Oh, wow. Hold it like a baddie. OK. You got to hold it like a baddie.
Starting point is 00:14:40 OK. I'm sorry. I've been bougie for a long time. I don't usually do shit myself. There we go. been boozy for a long time. I'll usually do shit myself There we go You can do that to me though, you gotta see why I am Can your favorite guilt terrible off This damn boy stupid.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Probably the start of season two. See, maybe through season one, be able to start season two. I'm saying I think that was dope. I'm saying, but no, just all hundred episodes, man. This is something that nobody else is doing. So no, it's dope, man. And probably my least favorite else is doing. So, no, it's dope, man. And probably my least favorite moment,
Starting point is 00:15:28 but, you know, we did the Halloween episode. You found out your son KJ got traded. Emotional moment for yourself, but then they cut back to me and gilding the Mario costume. Gilding the Average Jones with the Afro. But we had to stick to the script. It was what it was, but, no, we appreciate you. And Lexi, what's your favorite He Kills the Reader moment?
Starting point is 00:15:46 I've had a blast every episode I've been on, but I want to say that dinner we had before we started season two. And I walked in. I was late. Everyone was sitting there. I went and sat on the side with my friends, and y'all were like, no, Alex, you coming to this table. You come sit with us.
Starting point is 00:16:00 So at that moment, I was like, oh, this is really my little family now. And I really appreciate y'all. And I don't think you guys really understand how many people told me that there was no space for me in this media stuff, in this basketball talk. I've been told no so many times with ideas that I've had. So I'm so grateful for y'all bringing me in and this vision you have, because I'm right with you, Gil. And you were doing it as a former player. I'm so grateful for y'all bringing me in and this vision you have because I'm right with you Gil and you know you were doing it as a former player I'm able to do it as a current one
Starting point is 00:16:30 which I think is really cool so I'm really grateful for this opportunity and I love y'all so so much people don't realize that you Lexi was signed last year probably right after B but the season started see you know white folks
Starting point is 00:16:45 really don't be knowing some black people's right so they didn't know your season was actually starting and that's why you couldn't be really a part of season one but she was signed last year so we got to give a special shout out to the entire crew the entire staff the men and women behind the scenes that make this show possible without y'all we won't be able to do this every day so thank you to the entire gills arena crew maybe y'all be seeing them working fucking running back and forth i don't get a text today because it's getting cussed out miko at eight because i said where's miko thank you miko for season one hopefully you come for season two we'll figure it out for sure
Starting point is 00:17:21 shout out miko sure she says she got got beef with McCann. I'm just playing. Everybody got beef with Mika. Everybody got beef. So we've had a lot of great guests over the past nine months, but who do we need to pull up to the arena? Brandon, you alluded that we got Rich Paul, but we need Bron Bron. We need Bron, KD. We need our dogs. We almost had KD, but we wasn't we wasn't alive
Starting point is 00:17:45 It was a off day. It was off. It was all day Again, you should try to get GZ back. We should try to get GZ back Cuz we drop the ball on GZ GZ back in here. Let's get Joe buttons on here Joe button I think Joe buttons would be hard to come. We need that cam and mace collab to I don't know how we all go fit We could have got Joe Joe Smith's wife, but there's too many animals No, no, no, no, they hit me at the end. I had to look at it like Not today. I can't do it
Starting point is 00:18:17 Let me know I won't be here that day Don't have fucking plenty space is just to be doing every y'all want to do because I will not be here. Trust me. What do we need? We got all we need. We got all we got. We got all we need. We got Lamar Odom in here.
Starting point is 00:18:38 I think there's a lot of people that we could have on. But who got a story? Who going to keep the people in Italian Lamar Odom Like you I'm on come in here we talk about him a lot So, so I think he was gonna come on last year too Yes, he knows how to handle himself on a pod so I think he'd be good Sure, and here we have a special announcement He was. Yeah, so he knows how to handle himself on a pod, so I think he'd be good. Sure. And, Gil, we have a special announcement,
Starting point is 00:19:08 but I'll let you kick off the honors. Oh, yeah, okay. So, look, if we get the $500,000... How many sales we got? I think it's, what, like $387,000? $387,000. If we get the $500,000, I'm giving away $10,000. I'm giving away $10,000.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Uh-oh. Right? If we get there before December, I'll give away twenty grand. Uh-oh. Right, I'll double it. And then I'm going to force Underdog to match it. So it's going to be forty grand worth of shit. But I'm going to give away
Starting point is 00:19:38 ten grand when we hit five hundred thousand. If we hit it before December 1st, I'm giving away twenty grand and we're going to do it how? So we've talked about it, but we're going to leave it up to the chat because y'all are the ones who are going to benefit. So for the $10K, should we go 20 people get $500 or 10 people get $1,000? We're about to drop a poll in the chat. I think the more money, the better.
Starting point is 00:20:01 The chat be selfish sometimes. It is 2023. It should cost a little more, you know, we got inflation Oh and the relation is a hey and we're doing it live. So we're gonna pick people out of the crowd In the chat in the chat now, we're gonna do it in a chat live. So y'all know it ain't no bullshit That's pretty dope. Okay, and then and then we got else announced. I'm trying to get that bag. So 500 is cool, but if we get... When, not if, because we're going to get there. When we get to 750,000 subscribers, Gil is giving away $25,000. And Underdog Fantasy don't know this yet, but they're going to match that $25,000 too.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Grand total of $50,000. Nothing y'all can do about it. If we do that before the new year, it's $ 50,000 and then they got a match 50,000 You mother give me five Yeah, yeah, click a button tell a friend is free so get these subs up help us get our numbers up help us help You we're trying to give away bread to the people that have made this show great a lot of y'all is haters in the Chat, but y'all need some bread anyway. Get your weight up. So y'all can keep hating. Cause haters gonna hate. Now you can get rewarded for that hatred. Financial vibes over there like shit. God damn it, Kim. She's over here like, no,
Starting point is 00:21:17 God damn it, no. Stop it. Stop it right now. The more shots, the more money he's going to give away. We need that bread. We need that bread. But let's get into the show. So we got some breaking news to announce. A sad day for the marijuana smoking community. Snoop Dogg announced that he's not smoking no more. Posted this announcement on his Twitter. You said that shit before.
Starting point is 00:21:45 He did? Yes. Hell yeah, he said that shit before. He did? Yes. Hell yeah, he said that shit before. He said after. Yo, Wyatt looked like he was gone. Like he died. I mean, shit, what Snoop without weed? I mean, listen, he had a great run. Snoop
Starting point is 00:22:01 had a great run. So Snoop released a statement that said, after much consideration and conversation with my family, I've decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time. How much consideration? It was like... Oh no, but he ain't been smoking longer than Willie Nelson. Who?
Starting point is 00:22:14 Willie Nelson? I ain't listening. Willie Nelson's not a real place, because what is this? I mean, when you say I had to talk to my family, it must be some... Some bad... Yeah, so we hope there's nothing bad going on with a real shit going on Some other health issues maybe I mean we just you know, he Nelson they do none for the culture Hey, come on man a to get better in life is to get better in life wasn't Willie Nelson in the wash
Starting point is 00:22:39 Let me do something Snoop had held it down for five decades. It's all right. mean, if he want to walk away, it's all right. Yeah, that's his choice, his personal choice. He had a great run, though. I fucked with it. He held it down. Improvement. So that makes it a career. He went into the career.
Starting point is 00:22:54 He had a better. This is his retirement. He's retiring. His career is better than Mike's. First Ballard Weed Hall of Famer. He's a smoking Hall of Famer. He's a smoking Hall of Famer. He's a smoking Hall of Famer. That nigga's retiring on top.
Starting point is 00:23:07 His whole legacy is better than Mike's. He the urban number one all time. Top five rapper ever, too. I'm ready to debate with anybody. Snoop Dogg, top five rapper ever. I'm ready to debate with anybody. What's up? Let it be known.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Top five rapper ever to live. I'm ready to debate with anybody. Let's get to it. So Top five rapper ever to live I'm ready to be with anybody Snoop We go beats we go, no we got it coach impact impact impact. Yeah Music that dog in there. No, no No, no what I'm saying, he's the only real gangster that nobody felt threatened about of course I give you that Yes, the only real gangster that can really like me a dancer then go and hang with white folks. I give you that.
Starting point is 00:24:07 That is a talent. His legacy alone is white top five. That's a talent. His legacy alone is white top five. Legacy alone. Do we feel like Snoop did more to eliminate the weed smoking stigma? Y'all remember back in the day, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, people weren't really fucking with weed like they are now. Now you can smoke. Weed is legal in the NBA now.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Snoop got something to do with it. Everything to do with it. What you mean? Smoking in the White House. Every time we see Snoop, he was smoking. Every time we seen him. Every time we seen him, he smoking weed. I don't know. I just think he's... A lot of us smoke weed cause Snoop smoke weed.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Cause we see Snoop keep smoking weed. You think people will stop smoking weed cause they'll stop it? He inspired me to smoke. He inspired me to smoke. He's the only one that can stop a few people's from like him retiring the Other celebrities gonna retire just like oh Snoop doing I'm gonna do it That is called in but you know you don't the whole thing was about when you hang around Snoop. What was it smoking? Yeah, I guess the smokers is but they were the thing, you know you to go when somebody that's the thing
Starting point is 00:25:02 Which you was like man, I smoke with Snoop, dog, bro. I got the smoke. Maybe he might get to the wine. It's cool. He got a wine. He might go to the wine. Got some beverages? He might go to the wine with his face on it.
Starting point is 00:25:13 But I need everyone in here and everyone out there a moment of silence for Snoop giving up smoking. Okay, back to our show. We got a Mosey fans question from the legend. Malik G in the building. What's going on, bro? Back up in here. Can we see him?
Starting point is 00:25:29 Can some people see him? One question, one question. I got a question for Gil. What was it like for your first time ever smoking? Since we're talking about Snoop smoking, I just... I'm not even going to lie. Uh-huh. Listen, do not smoke and drink. Oh, yeah, that's a kid. I didn't know that. lie. Uh-huh. Listen, do not smoke and drink. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:47 That's a kid. I didn't know that. I was drinking already, and then I had to smoke, so it fucked me up for two days. Two days? Two days. Oh, he was smoking at Zod. That's crazy. Like, I was trying to figure out who I was going to fire, but I realized I'm the one who did it. So, will you smoke again is the question? No. I figured out who I'm going to fire.
Starting point is 00:26:03 I learned my lesson. We had to upgrade the benchmarks to some harder stuff. I bet. I'm going to have some more questions for Gil. I'm on Gil's ass today. Pause. Damn. Wow. There's always one. There's always one, right? Wowzers.
Starting point is 00:26:21 He's not wearing all that, so out of respect for Mr. Barton. No, y'all do. People growing. Do what the fuck they want to do. I'm in proximity to you. Wowzers. Kane is not wearing all that, so out of respect for Mr. Barton. Nah, y'all do what the people grown do what the fuck they wanna do. I'm in proximity to you. Wowzers, man. Nah, people grown, they do what they wanna do, bro. Kane say we do what we wanna do, we do what we wanna do.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I like that. Thank you, brother. Yeah, nah, people, y'all can play the pause game and all that shit if y'all want, man. Y'all grown. Just don't include me in it, that's all. Ape that shit. That's all., man, y'all grown. Just don't include me in it, that's all. That's all. Say what the fuck I want to do. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Listen, yo, so my son texted me the other day telling me he's sick. Talking about his throat hurting, talking about Paul's doing his message. But me being a dad, I don't play that shit, right? I'm like, dude, did you just pause you telling me that you fucking sick? Like, dude, damn you just pause you telling me that you fucking sick? Right like dude damn nuts man Tell me you signal all like it's all the day Dame that's left. Yo, but they told me I had to stop saying before yeah before we get going going going I want to wish my mom happy birthday. Okay
Starting point is 00:27:33 Think she's watching live. I love you. Enjoy your day. See you Tuesday lady Yeah, mama Lydia, baby Well, let's keep this thing moving. We got some actual basketball to discuss. So we talked about The choke out So NBA won a lawsuit she NBA suspended Draymond green for five games for choking out Rudy Gobert during the Warriors Wolves in season tournament game Tuesday night For those of you haven't seen it. we might as well reflect on the moment. In history.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Oh, they're peacing. Craig. Craig. Craig. Put down the gun, son. Oh, my God, bro. Oh, man. It's funnier. Oh, my God, bro. Oh, man. It's funnier.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Oh, my Lord. So, NBA is also finding Klay Thompson, Rudy Gobert, and Jaden McDaniel $25,000 each, but Draymond will lose nearly $8,000 as a result of this inspection. $800,000. Wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:28:38 $800,000? $800,000. $800,000. Y'all be fucking up. Damn! Woo! I'm a little inebriated. I told you, boy, them fights weren't that... Worth it. Damn! I'm a little inebriated. I told you, boy, them fights
Starting point is 00:28:47 were shit. But it's Gobert, so was that chokeout worth $800,000? For him, yes. For him, yes. Wrong is wrong. Stop it. We already see him going.
Starting point is 00:29:02 He the reason that America's going to shut down anyway. Stop it. Stop it. We already see him going. He the reason that America... Listen, America's going to shut down anyway, but he the reason that we had to stop basketball. His goofy ass one, he should have kept his hands off of Donovan Mitchell that time, too. So Draymond probably choked his
Starting point is 00:29:18 ass just for the COVID shit. He was patient zero in the NBA, I think. Technically. Listen, we know that it was going to happen anyway, but we got a face to it, and it's the Frenchman. But he didn't have to touch the microphone. If he didn't choke that motherfucker, he's like, yeah. Good shit, Draymond.
Starting point is 00:29:39 So Draymond did that for America. 2020. So the NBA released a statement saying the length of the suspension is based in part on Green's history of unsportsmanlike acts. So let's take a look at Dre's history of unsportsmanlike acts, courtesy of our friends over at Clutch Points. Some of these numbers are a little
Starting point is 00:29:56 off, but he's got four career suspensions, 171 checks, 20 flagrant fouls, 19 ejections, and they said 1.4 million fines, but with that new fine on top of that, close to 2.2 million, and we don't know how much he got fined for punching Jordan Poole.
Starting point is 00:30:12 2.2... Zero. Zero? Zero. Yo, my shit was minor. Like we said, he got 100 mil for that. That list is crazy. This nigga's an animal. This nigga's a... That was a notable career incident. He's a problem child. Hey, I can tell you one...
Starting point is 00:30:26 Yo, can somebody look my shit up? Are you sure you want to do that after this? Yeah. I want to see in comparison. Like, people thought I was wild. Like, doing my journey, people thought I was wild, though. I want to see it. There's one thing that I can tell you right now.
Starting point is 00:30:34 That's... No one touches them two light-skinned boys with him doing this shit right now. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:30:42 I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I'm one thing that I can tell you right now. That's... No one touches them two light-skinned boys with him doing this shit right here. We can say whatever we want to say about Draymond Green, but Steph Curry and Klay Thompson gets to walk through the NBA knowing that they have
Starting point is 00:31:00 an unleashed Rockweiler slash pit bull with no leash. And that's when you're talking about winning basketball, right? Like, think about what the 80s say. The 80s say, we will hit Steph Curry. We'll put him on his ass. No, you
Starting point is 00:31:15 wouldn't. You got to deal with that psychopath. That psychopath fucking y'all up. They fear game. Yo, so do you think he's feared by everybody in the league? I'm just saying that. Yes. When was the last time?
Starting point is 00:31:28 When was the last time? Yes. Devon Green is feared by everybody in the league. So the dude, Detroit. Tristan Thompson. Yeah, I fear. Ain't nobody. Isaiah Stewart, maybe not.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Leave me off. Has he hit Steph Curry? No. Has he hit Clay Thompson? So y'all telling me that everybody in the league is scared of him. I feel like if Isaiah Stewart did that, he would not grab Isaiah Stewart like that. I think he would.
Starting point is 00:31:50 That's what they said about Sam. I think he would. I think he would. I don't think so. I don't think he discriminates. Yo, he like me. I don't think he discriminates. And that's fine, but Isaiah Stewart, every time I see you, it's like, I don't think people want to get into it with that. Yeah, I don't think it is
Starting point is 00:32:06 I think everybody should leave him alone. Yo what I'm telling but I don't think Yeah, I mean that's fine. Yeah, it was where a lot of people don't care What a lot of people don't care because where he's here. So tell me where he's from. I think it's like people Second on Michigan Playing basketball Michigan No stop so Be this and yeah So for this Beat us in yeah So for the color I was Dre from Saginaw, Michigan. Hmm. I was born in Saginaw, Michigan
Starting point is 00:32:56 so Dark Community that said and Draymond got the blackest name ever. Like, there was a comedian that said, what you expect? Draymond, I mean, uh, uh, uh, Chappelle. Chappelle's like, he got what you expect, name Draymond Green, right? How do you expect a dude named Draymond Green to play basketball? Same way Keion Martin played basketball. Keion, Draymond. Yeah, go run.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Think about the water they got to mix with the Kool-Aid. That's what we got right there! Ready to fight? Think about the water they got to mix with the Kool-Aid Really fine we go my shot. I don't know that's a lot though. I was wild Yo, I agree. I give myself like I'd like yeah people were scared to come to the basket at times and Do certain shit when I was out there I get it, bro. Like you said like, you know it Draymond know that. I've been in this position. I know when you got a certain aura on that
Starting point is 00:33:51 motherfucking court and people like, oh, shit. You know what I'm saying? Do you feel like that was worth it? Where the Warriors are right now. Just think about this. Where the Warriors are, they're struggling. You got your best defender and you got your team captain, you know, your heart and your soul on your team,
Starting point is 00:34:08 and he go do that, and now he's out for the next five games. And we're struggling. It go a lot longer than that, though. But think about this. This ain't about game five. This is about game 82 and the rest. If you're Steph and Klay, right? Think about who the two stars are.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Steph and Klay. You know now no one. Who going to hit Klay again? We are the Golden State Warriors. We the Warriors. Why am I scared? What's going to really happen to me between these boys and somebody? When was the last time somebody hit Steph? Hard on the foul.
Starting point is 00:34:38 No, but what I'm saying is. Has Steph ever been fouled in the last six years? Because it's my respect. No. It's not because of J-Mon. Respect is I. No, it's respect. If I my respect no respect. It's not because it's not because It's respect if I play hard when I go or step card when I go to the layup I got to deal with this. No, the NBA is not rolling with that either. Huh? I got to deal with the person No, that's fine
Starting point is 00:34:57 But what I'm saying every now, we know they don't hit step because it's not a respect like I'm not I'm not gonna not hit Because of him Do something I respect okay, we got to going to not hit because of him. Give a fuck about him. Nigga, do something. Okay, well then, we're going to have to get down every day. I ain't scared of him. I'm not scared of him.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I'm not scared of him. I'm not scared of this dude. Let's get down. I got respect. Listen to this. Go ask AI when he had Derek Coleman as a teammate.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Go ask AI when he had DC as a Derek Coleman as a teammate. Go ask AI. That's fine. When he had D.C. as a... Derek Coleman as a teammate, dog. It's a benefit. Go ask him when he had me as a teammate how many times he went to the basket. I don't need it, though.
Starting point is 00:35:33 Go to the basket. I don't need it, though. Go to the basket freely now, dog. Man, that didn't stop Chris Chops from taking off on Cole when he had Shaq. He was out of the league the next year. Who?
Starting point is 00:35:43 Who them guys? Listen. Yo. Yeah, he was. It didn't stop me, though. What I'm saying is it didn't stop me. It don't stop me. Anybody can get touched. Anybody can get touched.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Who you got on that team? It don't stop you the first time. Will you get handled right after that? It stops you the second time. A.B., riddle me this the Wayne wave you do Yo riddle me this Reggie Dean Reggie didn't know I'm not from that Mike what happened nothing then Mike who who did Mike get after that? What do you get put it Dennis Rodman them? Okay, there's a. If you don't have an enforcer that's going to enforce shit.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Yo. So you say. So you say. I ain't never needed no enforcer. Yo. It's not about it. We don't need no enforcer. I don't need no fucking enforcer.
Starting point is 00:36:37 I don't need no fucking enforcer. So the question you ask. Who has Shaq. Who has Shaq put his hands on before that? A lot of people. Who Shaq hit that matter? Who Shaq beat up? I mean, him and Shaq got into it with... Who Shaq beat up on the floor?
Starting point is 00:36:57 Shaq beat up a few niggas. Who? Who? Who? Before the Chris Childs and Colby, you said... I mean, Shaq... Before the Chris Childiles and Colby, you said... I mean, Shaq and... Before the Chris Chiles and Colby fight... Shaq and Orlando...
Starting point is 00:37:10 Before the Chris Chiles and Colby fight... Shaq and Orlando beat a couple niggas up. Hold on. Before the Chris Chiles and Colby fight, you said... That didn't stop Chris Chiles from putting his hands on Colby, right? Who had Shaq fought before that? Who Shaq beat up? There's nobody fierce Shaq in that regard, dog.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I'm telling you this shit. There's nobody fear Shaq in that regard. It was after he put his hands up. People fear Shaq with the basketball shit. Shaq didn't put his hands on nobody out there, bro. He swung on Brad Mill and missed. 7'2", 350. Shaq, please, leave me alone. He swung on Brad Mill and missed.
Starting point is 00:37:50 I think it's the thought process of knowing what can happen if I do. But that's what I'm saying. Who fouled anybody when Charles Oakley was out there? If you hit Seth Curry right now, Anthony Mason, he's going to have Looney, he's, right? Oh you close. There was team. I don't have loony. He gonna have all this team
Starting point is 00:38:08 There was team everybody's gonna know what I'm saying If you can everybody the foul are you are you going to the basket thinking I'm about to get a layup or do you think? Draymond green about the fuck you up. No Okay, of course not Everybody's on the team. I'm about to dunk on your ass, niggas. I'm about to dunk on this clothesline. Oh, no, no, no. For sure not. For sure not. Of course not. Of course not. I stopped everybody from driving now. Of course not.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Of course not. We got a mostly fans question. Let's go to the crowd. You're about to dunk on your ass. All right. Dunk on your ass. Take this forearm, too, niggas. Between the four of you players, what was the most memorable fine or tech that you didn't
Starting point is 00:38:41 mind getting because of the situation? Oh. For me, always anyone with a ref. Or five. Ref. Five of you. Players. Oh, no, $50,000. I got fined $50,000 for faking an injury for Nick Young.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Please elaborate, Gil. Okay, because I've always wanted a shooting guard that can take the pressure off of me getting hit. And I seen his ability, right? And the way our team was, he wasn't going to get no playing time like that. So I faked the injury in a preseason. So he was forced to play all the minutes. And he went and killed. He went and got his busy and they find me.
Starting point is 00:39:24 How did they find out that you were fake because I stupid ass said it you know back then I can get fucks I really hurt I really I just wanted him to play he did good y'all okay you just crib walking with the boot on wow all right y'all want me to go? I feel like you may have some. You might have the most money. Oh, no, I think like year three, one of them, I think I lost like $350,000.
Starting point is 00:39:53 Damn, that's like $2 million today's economy. Yeah, for sure. $350,000 is $2 million today. Couple fights, missed a few games. I think I had two fights Couple flagrants and couple suspensions and yeah, they're like 350 Let's have you ever got no. Yeah How you feisty I'm a lady
Starting point is 00:40:25 Not on the court, I mean I just do basketball stuff I don't really get the extra. Also. I'm not trying to get fined Y'all know and for disclosure my shoe except the car Malone shit My shit was reactionary. Mm-hmm like if you look at the the cup of fight it was I felt dude trying to like strong on me and My I'm just not wired certain way and you and other situation felt he got fire hard he thought it was gonna go one way but it wasn't it's gonna go the other way but I've never been like put on my ass or anything either yeah y'all have any like like that was worth getting
Starting point is 00:41:02 kicked out of yeah it's It's like end games? Yeah, I think me and DC, I think Monte was going up for a layup. I think Bradley Bill or somebody like fouled him hard like at the end and I like pushed Bradley Bill in the stands and we was gonna get down. That was good? Yeah, that was good too. Yeah, I mean it was the end of the game. I mean we was up eight and Monte had the open layup and they like threw him in the stands
Starting point is 00:41:24 so I was like, it just felt good. I was on my comp thing. Oh I, shit I got a few. I ain't really get no No fines in the game. I only got like team fines. I brought the work on the plane. You what? How you bring work on the plane? Earlier today that wasn't even a thing there.
Starting point is 00:41:44 She was the stewardess. Rashad, please. We talk about end games. I'm not talking about no end game. Oh, you got team find you? So you had a stewardess that you turned into the work. You converted the stewardess to work
Starting point is 00:42:02 on the plane. You know them ladies is old as shit? I do. You said, I do? You know, they did all our planes, so I'm trying to figure. They didn't do all of them. It was a little jungle. Back then, it was all in the 40s.
Starting point is 00:42:17 No, no, I ain't never getting no fines. No kicked out? I got ejected, but it wasn't no fine. I didn't get any fines for it. Oh, yeah, I got it. I must be, yeah. I got kicked out of the wasn't no fun and again fine for you. I got I must be yeah I got kicked out. I got kicked out of game for clapping dog Well, I offer back call or something
Starting point is 00:42:32 Yeah, and I let him have it Yo, I ain't shit crazy on this man on their Florida. Yo Team like I didn't do team files. Yeah, like I team fines. Like I had to have a conversation with him about team fines. It was, what the fuck was his name? I don't even know his name. But he was trying to fine me. And I said, I don't give a fuck what you write on that piece of paper. They're not going to fine me upstairs.
Starting point is 00:43:00 Because I've already had a conversation that the fines are not big enough to make me change the behavior, but it's going to piss me off. Yeah. Like, that $5,000, $1,500, you're just going to piss me the fuck off, so you might as well just let that shit go. Right? I'm late five minutes,
Starting point is 00:43:17 or I missed the plane or whatever. You fining me for it is just going to make me do something. Just going to make me do something. Like, you know my game check is 350 right you find me five grand for something i'm gonna just miss a game yeah all right so my ankle hurt so let's just stop this shit now then all right no no no it was a tip tap scott tap scott yeah Tapscott tried to be the head coach. I don't know why he was trying to be the head coach when I was around.
Starting point is 00:43:46 We don't play that shit. Nah, you sit there with your little suit on, be happy you got a job. Because other than that, you over here trying to put in control. Nah, no. I'm on the building, sir. I'm on the building, sir. He was a good coach. It's just I was too young for... I had too much power at that time for him.
Starting point is 00:44:05 I was cleaning some of my shit out not too long ago, and I found, like, for my rookie year, fucking Byron Scott fined me for being late to, like, a team meeting or something, like $1,000 or some shit. Like, I'm cleaning out my shit, going through it. I flipped the bitch over like it was my... It was like a pay stub. It was like team fine, team meeting was late.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I'm like, really? Really? Number one pick around this motherfucker, man. It was like team fine Team meetings late. Oh, like really Number one pick around his motherfucker man. That's funny. Let's talk old stuff Let's talk about go fair a little bit. So after calling the toast clown behavior Rudy go bear gave a detailed breakdown Of Draymond choking him out. He said he's got me me. He's grabbing me. He's grabbing me, but the choke wasn't good enough Yeah, it wasn't good enough for me to really have to go to sleep, but he tried. He tried really hard, but it wasn't good enough to where I felt like I was really in danger of falling asleep or something like that. It was a long time, and if he knew how to choke, it could have been way worse. He tried to. His intention was to really take me out, and I kept my hands up the whole time just to show the officials
Starting point is 00:45:05 that I wasn't trying to escalate the situation. So what do y'all think about Rudy Gobert doing a damn detail on him getting choked up? I've been oppressed some charges. I know he's not American. There's no way American, black American, you don't put your hands up for shit around this. We! We! This America, you put your hands up, It's never been good for us. Okay
Starting point is 00:45:25 He should have to out round that he watched wrestling just tap the fuck out just hit Draymond Draymond from Michigan Just hit this he understands Put your hands no more. You know how many people lost a lot with this shit, right? Yeah, I mean it wasn't worth it from Draymond, but I get it. So, it's just like that. So, it's like I get why. Like who it was. But it wasn't worth it.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Well, that's the crowd. No, the 800 was. I mean, but all. Like if he wouldn't have drug him, I don't think he would have got the five. I think we're still missing the point where the Warriors are right now. Everybody in the crowd, did Draymond deserve a five-game suspension for Choke and Gobero? No. How many games? One. Three. One.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Anywhere from one to three. It was the drag. Five games is a long time. It was like two weeks. All mine and Choke and Gobero. The drag. It was the drag. Five games is a long time, man.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Shit, we said ten yesterday. We was way off. No, no, but when you think about it, like five games is exactly like a fight. A fight in the NBA is what? What did Stewart get for chasing? Two games? He was... He was chasing for two games, punched three games.
Starting point is 00:46:43 So the max they were going to give him was that. Well, they gave Melo and J-Nar them, what, 15? That was 15. Yeah, because that was added on to some shit. But because he didn't throw a punch, just physical contact. Well, the other ones didn't get any suspensions, right? No. Just 25 racks.
Starting point is 00:46:57 I knew that. Yeah, just. If they didn't get suspended, then he was going to get something low. All right, let's keep this thing moving. Gil, you said that if Embiid had Giannis his motor He could be the most unstoppable player in the league. Well Pat Bev is doing his part to help him be go back-to-back I mean you could set up With a professional athlete
Starting point is 00:47:17 That's the schedule you just got to do it. But yeah They fucking everybody taking shots Gentlemen come fucking the staff up man. That's how you know, Everybody's taking shots. And that gentleman coming fucking the staff up, man. That's how you know it's real, though. We are a live show. Our crew works very hard. I've got wine. Don't need that either.
Starting point is 00:47:33 Where is it at? It's in there. Tell me about your condition that you have with MB, bro. I'm trying to learn something. I walk up to Joe like, hey, yo, let's do some extra conditioning.
Starting point is 00:47:42 He like, all right. I'm like, all right, we're going to do 17s. He say, which way? We're's do some extra conditioning. He like, all right. I'm like, all right, we're going to do 17s. He say, which way? All right, we're going to do it the short way. He, all right. So we do the 17s. All right, damn.
Starting point is 00:47:51 So when we get done, everybody clapping and shit. Like, they were amazed. Like, damn, man, you really got Joel and me to do 17s, right? So today I have to practice. Hey, Joe, let's do some extra conditioning again. Hey, man, I'm not doing 17s.
Starting point is 00:48:03 I go, uh-uh, Joe, come on. We got to do it one more time, Joe. He, all right. So he knock him out again. Hey, man, I'm not doing 17s. Uh-uh, Joe. Come on. We got to do it one more time, Joe. You all right. So he knock him out again. Another 17. So shout out to Joe MB. Like, that shows you. MVP.
Starting point is 00:48:12 He doesn't have to do that. The accent is... All right. All right. All right. I'm not running the 17s. I love that Pat Bev just takes credit for everything.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Again, what do you think about... Let's just speak everything Yeah, what do you think about? Let's speak on it. We do every time he goes to a new team and a teammate does something he's like that because I'm here What so I ain't been wrong right I can see it in play. So the fact how long is John on me when plan a Long time, right? So Pat Barrett just got there Seen something lacking that he needed extra conditioning The fact that everybody clapped Is a real problem. Oh, you got him the dudes extra Conditioning is the real problem. Oh, shit, you got him to do. Extra conditioning is the real problem.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Like, congratulations, Pat, for getting the nigga to, you know, go out there and, you know, run some extra time. But if you really want to be greatness league, someone shouldn't have to tell you to come do something. So the fact that the rest of the team couldn't do that, and then you question it. We're not running seven teams again. It really lets you know where mentally he's at.
Starting point is 00:49:27 All right. Yeah, right. This is the good version. Imagine what it really was like then. You know, we're going to make our teammates sound a little bit better. Yeah, because he's playing 36, 37 a night now. So just imagine if he did 40 a night out there, bitch. They did the 17s.
Starting point is 00:49:44 But the 40. But think about it we're we're players right and this is my teammate so i'm making it sound a lot better than really what it really was so you can just take this and say all right he probably wasn't okay with the first time they did it right he probably gave you some kickback but because everybody's watching watching it, he's going to run it. But you're supposed to be the superstar. This is where you're supposed to be. This dude shouldn't be trying to convince me to do some shit that I'm supposed to be doing anyway for myself. You think Pat Buffett could have kept that story to himself, or you think it's good that he shared it?
Starting point is 00:50:19 For somebody like me, he should have. Should have shared it, or kept it? No, should have kept it to himself himself because it lets me know that I've been right this whole time. This nigga been gassing out in the fourth quarter for a reason. And he just, he just, but. I mean, we'll see if he keep doing it. He should, Gil. You will see it in his play. You will see it in his play.
Starting point is 00:50:39 You will see it in his play. If he, when he, when his body really get in shape. Because his first quarter would look like his first quarter and fourth Quarter would look the same Everybody's getting in shape demand 611 280 It's a lot of weight carry around bro, you remember Joker see I'm saying it's a lot of weight good Joker still look like he'd be out there more for you look They both look the same when I'd be out there busy look tired. Did you look at Joker before but Joker before me? Yeah, he did. He's all he took but big
Starting point is 00:51:12 But you're like just a big human being To get in the kind of shape that like you got to be a certain Just a big person There's alternatives. What? He can get on that Versaclimber. And then we still going, okay, he going to be. I hate it.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Okay, he going to be 275 then. Cool. He going to drink two bottles of water, he back 280. Like, this is, like, this is, he a big person. But the weight they have, it's not the not the way it's just it's not the way You legs and shit heavy. He big but try to do it. It's a lot You you you know when a motherfucker got so much talent that they talent is they like I don't really need to be in tip Yeah, I'm somebody like Joe if you was in tip-tip-top me you'd be destroying his lead
Starting point is 00:52:04 But they're scared to go that extra. Well, he's destroying the league. And he don't need to do that. Shackler's destroying the league, too. He don't need to do it right now. I'm with you. But I'm just... He got to do that work in the summertime.
Starting point is 00:52:16 No, he can do it, get ready for the end of the season. So he's not... We don't even want to do it at all. I see you on the couch. I've seen the facial expression. I'm perplexed. I'm just perplexed. I'm just perplexed because it's like,
Starting point is 00:52:32 if your best player need an example of what it looks like to work hard, like how good is the team really? How good is the organization really? Like, if you go to different organizations within the NBA, the best player usually has the best work ethic. He's in the gym all the time. He's doing the seven to he's doing the shit and then the other players it trickled down to the those who want those shots, those who want that time, they doing that same shit. Like hey man, ain't time to go get some extra shots up. Get some extra cardio up. You know what I'm saying? I didn't play
Starting point is 00:52:59 enough last night. So the thing in Philly, like it's like I I can see how Pat can take credit for it but it's like, I can see how Pat can take credit for it, but it's like, if he's just a traditional athlete that traditionally know how to stay in shape and used to doing something
Starting point is 00:53:12 like this and bring it to Joel for the first time, he never really, nobody's ever went to him and said, let's run 17s at all. So the fact that he asked him
Starting point is 00:53:21 and he said no, and he's like, nah, Joe, come on, man. That second time is a you know what? Why not I'm Joe I'm Joe why not I ain't got nobody Ain't no push back here. Why not? I'm Joe. Let me go do it. Why not? But we don't know if anybody's asked him that's what I'm just saying just assuming that no one has asked him and Pat Bev Though but I like that big clap in the one that first... But I have a question, though. The fact that they clapped indicates that they have asked him,
Starting point is 00:53:47 and he probably told the motherfuckers enough. Or the other way around. Or they just never did it. So what if his ideal of working hard is working on his game? What if that's his ideal of working hard? But that's the problem. But what is the problem? His game is not the problem.
Starting point is 00:54:03 What I'm saying is we don't know what working hard is. The bitch averaged 33 last year. You got to be in some type of fucking shape to do that. Or you can just be gifted. Or you can be gifted and kicking the league ass at where you're at. So you're like. You don't need to be in shape. Hey, without.
Starting point is 00:54:17 Why would I be. Without Kobe's voice, Shaq was this great work ethic guy. And Kobe said, nah, this nigga lazy. But everybody worked hard. Because his work ethic is a different work ethic. And we all think we're working hard. Like, I thought I was a hard worker until I seen someone else working hard. Like, oh, nah, he doing it different.
Starting point is 00:54:41 He doing it different. Let me go ahead and get it to this level. And when I get it to that level like you do what? this is like like there's always levels you have to always be
Starting point is 00:54:51 like willing to take in information because to get to a next level you have to do something different you can take it in like I'm with so we talked before if he don't average 35 this year
Starting point is 00:55:02 I'm with you we've had this conversation before I'm with you so we talked before, if he don't average 35 this year, I'm with you. We've had this conversation before. I'm with you in that regard, absolutely. But you got to understand the person. Like, you got to look at who you're, who we're talking about. I'm saying? Like, I've been watching, like,
Starting point is 00:55:16 he's been doing what the fuck he's supposed to these first, because I've been forced to watch. Bitch really good, man. No, good. Like, really, really good. What is this shape though? Yeah, yeah, but my thing no no, but what no no, but he's playing the whole first quarter Mm-hmm. He's playing a whole third like so you're playing the whole first quarter You take him out and put him in with like seven to go back in the second quarter
Starting point is 00:55:40 Whatever it is. She played a whole third quarter And he finished in the game like 87 so you got it. So what kind of shape do you like? That's what I'm a diesel. This is real shit. I'm watching and this is his rotation Can these guys play a whole game and overtime with the same energy? Who is doing that Gilbert big none of them doing it no more whoever? Who's playing 48? What's the most minutes you ever played in the game? 55 minutes.
Starting point is 00:56:10 That's the same amount I've ever played in the game. We went in double overtime. We went in fucking double overtime. We went in double overtime. I only won overtime. 53. No, 53 minutes. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:56:19 But what I'm saying, can they do that? Yes. If you're forced to do it. If you're forced to go out and play them games. You're a professional. If you're forced to go in overtime, a double overtime. Nigga, you find something. Whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:56:35 So we are trained for a 48-minute game. Right? We're not. No. We were trained for 48. They're not trained for 48. He's trained for 32. He's playing more than that.
Starting point is 00:56:45 If you see his... He's playing more minutes than that other than Nick Nurse. No, what I'm saying is if you see his minutes or his before this year, I'm going to say before this year, if you've seen his fourth quarter performance last five minutes, he's done. I understand. I get that.
Starting point is 00:56:58 And that's 32 minutes? I understand. But now he's playing more under Nick Nurse because, you know, Nick Nurse plays his guys big minutes. Yeah, he don't play that year. So he played 34. six minutes last year. He's right around thirty four point one this year So it's but that's still something about some of the highest these past two seasons are the highest minutes that he's played Yeah, this is gonna give because Nick nurse ain't doing nothing, but like he playing his guys Like he's the one thing he doing he he don't believe in
Starting point is 00:57:20 The most God most minutes God played last night off the bench was 20 That was the guard like one of the guard string played last night off the bench was 20. That was the guard. Like, one of the guard strings played 20 minutes off the bench last night. Everybody else was 37, 38. I'm like, damn. So we got a mostly fans question. Let's take it over to the studio audience. Quick question for Gil.
Starting point is 00:57:38 I'm from the city. Do you feel like D.C. should retire your number? This is a yes or no quick question. Just a quick question. For the culture, yes. Fly us out there. For the culture, yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:57:52 You know, for my longevity, probably not. You know, for the culture and everything I did, that quick, yes. But, you know. And I agree. I'm realistic. Me too. Okay. I agree. Same with me in Milwaukee.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Since we're talking about the culture. Put my shit up there. What's your thing? You want to talk about the culture? Put my shit up there. You know, put my shit up there, man. You know, let my shit lay. I think Gil was one of them ones for my city.
Starting point is 00:58:23 So I just wanted to ask you that. Do you feel like- I appreciate it, appreciate it. Yes, yes sir. Do you feel like they should retire that number, zero? Yeah, zero, go ahead. I feel like they should retire- With the hibachi. I think so too. With the hibachi.
Starting point is 00:58:34 And everybody get free hibachi that day. Yes sir. Then you and Jordan Poole gotta square up. Huh? You and Jordan Poole gotta square up. No, no, he ain't zero. No, no, I mean, I ain't nobody square that. I mean, I'm not square enough with a do we have 17 right now Take them in the lab. Yeah, take them in the lab. Give them your chemo large and once agents and
Starting point is 00:58:59 This is DC man. We don't need we don't need But this is. If you're a six man, if Jordan Poole is listening, look. A six man has a certain type of style. Yeah. Right? There's a reason some six men can't be starters. The reason is how you're playing right now is exactly why six men don't become starters and they become forever six men.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Because what you do off the six men because what you do off the bench is not what you do as a starter obviously you're starting and playing more minutes and you're the guy averaging less than when you were fucking the fourth option right you have to learn how to adjust in your mental part of the game right so the fact that you know like you're not trying to be the star you're trying to be who you were in Golden State with the same tricks today. You have to make the game easier. We thought you were going to average 30 because the style you play plus you're trying to take on that leader role, it'd be easy. But the dumb shit you're doing is six-man shit.
Starting point is 01:00:02 So most likely they're going to put your ass as a six-man. They're going to come in and get a real star, put you at a six-man shit. So most likely they're gonna put your ass as a six-man They're gonna come in and get a real start put you at a six-man and then when you become a six-man you can do The clown shit in average 20 again So what about what about if he had a vet that told him what you just said like? You're not a six-man anymore Jordan this is what we're gonna do now Jordan you have to now adjust your mind to starter minutes Mm-hmm. You don't have to force these shots in the first eight minutes of the game, bro. It's cruise control, smooth sailing. Pick your point, pick your shots, get to the free throw line.
Starting point is 01:00:32 You end up with seven points a quarter, bro, and you're good to go. What bet, though? That's what I'm saying. Even in Golden State, they didn't have time to even adjust him to that because he was pushed out too fast. His next adjustment was, hey, Joy, you got to- I mean, how many years was he there? Three.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Three? Yeah, under equal dollar. Yeah, he had some bets there. No, but he didn't learn the starter minutes, how to manage starter minutes. Now he's in the starting row, and Gil is like, yo, you're playing like a fucking six man as a starter, and you can't do that. But he hasn't had nobody tell him. No, no.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Yeah, but I don't even think it's about that you you how do you how else do you learn you watch the greatest point like if we're gonna say steph is one of the greatest point guards one or two the greatest point guards ever you're watching him every that's how your skill became your skill yeah but you're watching steph at 35 36 you're not watching steph 2021. So while you're 2021, you're looking at somebody who's 35 who's already is in master mode. You're not a master yet. Right? So you're looking at a master and master mode when you're still apprentice. You have to follow what he did to get to this.
Starting point is 01:01:41 Did you hear what I said? Someone needs to tell him how to do that shit. He watched it. Watching it and being told that. No, but you're right. Listen, I can watch it all day, but I may not understand what I'm seeing. You don't understand if I'm in the gym every day. Because he's doing it his way.
Starting point is 01:01:56 He needs to explain to me. I can't do it the way he do it. It's Steph Curry. So you don't think Steph talked to him? I don't think that they did what we're talking about. How do you have to wait for two years? think that they did what he what we talked about He's coming off the bench with the bench mentality, that's why okay So so he is a starter now and we saying how do you adjust to starter minutes and being able to score and maintain him? Stop playing fucking hero ball like a six man. You need someone to tell you how to do this shit. Yeah two years
Starting point is 01:02:21 Yeah, two years. Yeah, two years. And nobody got to tell him how to do that. They just tell us where his basketball IQ is. That's all they fucking say. I guess he's a dummy. It just says where his basketball IQ is, man. Because he can't convert his game from six-man to starter on his first team, whereas
Starting point is 01:02:39 his team, he just got it. Never had this position before. Never been in this position before. Now of a sudden now, you know the party suppose he's expected To do what Steph doing now. He thought that championships solidified his career. He didn't think anything he got off of a team He said he got kicked off with the team though. No, he didn't want to be in that position to even say that Why am I even in position to say that? Yeah, that? I should be on my team where I win a championship. Yeah, but why are you saying that, like, yo, my championship is...
Starting point is 01:03:09 Because he can say whatever he wants to say. He can say whatever he wants to say. Just like Steph said, I'm the best point guard, my bad. What'd you say, Lexi? I said the thing with Draymond made this transition from him being a six-man to a starter faster, because I think they had every intention of trying to keep him on the Warriors Until that shit happened, but now you got to get rid of him and now he's forced to transition into this new role
Starting point is 01:03:31 He's not ready. He doesn't play like he's ready. Okay Okay, but what I'm saying, okay And this is why Why I said at the beginning we were talking about Hakeem, right? The shit don't translate as fast as you think. You're talking about people who played with Kobe Bryant, people who played with Hakeem, people who played with all these great players. How come the game of what their knowledge was didn't transfer to these players, right? You played with Steph Curry, a three-time champion,
Starting point is 01:04:15 MVP, finals MVP. You got Clay. You know how to beat, how they are approaching the game. How is that not translating to you when you're watching it? Because you're not watching it to you when you're watching it? Because you're not watching it to learn. You're just there. Most players are just there, playing, trying to fit in, versus trying to understand what
Starting point is 01:04:35 is making him great, so when I leave, I can use this for my greatness. And that's really what some players don't understand. We don't realize the greatness we're with. We have next to us to really understand. Like I watch B and how he moves with his fashion shit.
Starting point is 01:04:57 Even though I'm not in fashion, I understand the process. So if I ever want to get in fashion, I have a blueprint of it. If I'm just looking at all you, let me get some gear, blah, blah, blah, and then go out there and try to gills shit, and then I'm failing, everybody's like, you had me right there with you. Because I wasn't looking at it. I was just looking at the success and not looking at the grind.
Starting point is 01:05:20 He probably thought he was going to have some more time. It's unfair to me. It's just coming down to IQ, man. If you have a player like Steph Curry, a player like Kevin Garnett, like I'm with KG. If I don't learn the shit he explained to me, if I don't
Starting point is 01:05:35 ask him, me watching from afar, I'm not going to get the explanation I need to know how to make this move, when to make it, why to make it, all of these things just because it's coming from not only a vet, but someone I want to learn from. So if Jordan Poo didn't have that time, it's like, damn, he get to Washington and it's like bright lights. It's like, all right, I guess I just do what I was doing before. I guess I just do what I was doing before, right?
Starting point is 01:05:57 Right? Because that got me here. So I should just, someone needs to step in and adjust that. Be like, nah, nah, nah, you can keep a little bit of of that so you don't believe that they did that no like with Draymond I was a great the way the way that they're telling bro the way that they hold everybody accountable and go to say you don't think That they staff anybody ever talked to Jordan pool was like yo for three if I'm around some champions for three years You don't think I learned it's not every look Like my eye
Starting point is 01:06:26 Towards to this shit they ain't trying to give you the rules and the John's and brands in bring that an axe for this You know Steph better anybody on this couch. Mm-hmm, right? He'll give you advice any do you don't think after this boy got traded? He has reached out. Yeah for sure For sure, even what a way he playing right now, you don't think Steph reached out to him. So therefore, it becomes a point where that boy got to look in the fucking mirror. He has to look in the mirror.
Starting point is 01:06:53 It's self-awareness, dog. It's being, knowing who you are, where you are, and trying to get the best out of the situation right now. Nah, nah, we're not going to let you do this. Because you're not, you're using your mindset thinking everybody else
Starting point is 01:07:10 is. No, I'm not. Yeah, you are. No, I'm not. I'm reading this whole scenario. Okay. I'm looking at all perspectives. I'm not even dismissing what no one is saying. Everyone has a perspective. Right, right. But when I look at that boy's talent and I look at the opportunity he has to be a leader on that team,
Starting point is 01:07:26 and he hasn't had any tutelage on how to be the leader of a team. You've literally been on teams where you were the backseat, and you want to be there, but you've got to play your position so you can get there. You've got to watch the learn. I understand that. I'm the man. He hasn't had the conversations to convert his play. If he has, he would be playing better.
Starting point is 01:07:48 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, No, that was me. I know we don't
Starting point is 01:08:08 You better get some fun The wrong place at the wrong time We went to Steph Curry we went to Steph Curry's event in Baltimore Right. What did I say? I want to record it. Mm-hmm. I recorded 21 minutes of Steph preparation. Now, his warm up for the kids, what he did just for the kids view, he was working out after the camp.
Starting point is 01:08:37 His work ethic before already gave me an idea what his work ethic is when the cameras are off. Right? The two hours he was going to work on. Just the 21 minutes he showed in. The 21 minutes you see on YouTube
Starting point is 01:08:53 of him working out. I don't need him anymore. I don't need to have a conversation with Steph about the... I can watch it. Boom. God damn. I can see the god damn I can see the energy I can see the speed I can see the concentration I don't need to have a conversation about
Starting point is 01:09:12 how to work anymore you gave it to me so the fact that you have to sit with this dude for two years you win a championship with him and you go to your team and have your own team and you don't know how to run it. That's a personal problem Oh my god Self-awareness man When you get drafted Anytime you get drafted in the NBA the clock is ticking self-aware Point something out to where you watch that for two hours
Starting point is 01:09:52 Cuz y'all say this is talk about we can't have friends in the league so I just don't make see though line up to me They ain't gotta be a don't learn from you don't lie Go to my my star player and learn from him. I don't have to walk. Okay, I want to talk to you I want you to explain it what I'm saying if you're training I don't want to just sit here and be like, man... Do I have to line up? So let me give you a hypothetical, Gil. Do I have to talk to the secretary? Can I finish? Go ahead. I got a question for you. Go ahead. Finish.
Starting point is 01:10:15 It's like, what are we doing? We're the leadership. We're not accountability on just leadership, leading the nigga into the position. We have expectations. We giving James Harden and the Clippers all this 20, give them some more time, give them some more time, but y'all want Jordan Poole to be right now.
Starting point is 01:10:30 So Sean, let me just point this out. That's crazy. So Jordan Poole played with the Warriors four seasons, praised early on after he came to the Wizards for bringing the crew together, organizing workouts, being in a leadership role. He's also said that he talks to Steph frequently too, and Steph gives him advice.
Starting point is 01:10:44 So that's the information that we know that was communicated from Jordan Poole. role has also said that he talks to Steph frequently too and Steph gives him advice. That's the information that we know that was communicated from Jordan Poole. Now what he's doing with that information... What he's doing with it, there's for us on him. We don't even know that he's even talking about leadership or any of that. All I'm saying is where you have the opportunity to pick the brain of a
Starting point is 01:11:02 guy... Poole has said he's done that. That's the point. Poole has said he's done that. That's the point. Poole has said that he's done that. Yeah, and I'm not saying that he hasn't. All I'm saying is in the position that he's in right now in Washington, y'all talking about he's supposed to be this right now? Like, he's trying to find out how it is.
Starting point is 01:11:18 He planned six men for the last three years, and now he's a starter. Nobody's showing me how to do this shit. I'm learning as I go. I'm learning as I go. You've been with a dude for two years. I've been playing my position. But you've been with a champion for years. That has nothing to do with it.
Starting point is 01:11:37 If I go to Michael Jordan and I'm with Michael Jordan for truly years. Four. Four. Four. Gilbert. Unbelievable. Four. You've all got to take some consideration. Four.
Starting point is 01:11:48 Four. Four. No, no, no, no. If I'm a shooting guard. Four years. If I'm a shooting guard. Four years. And I got to watch Michael fucking Jordan in the locker room for four years win the championship
Starting point is 01:12:01 with him and average 20 points both years under Michael fucking Jordan. And you give me my own team and I'm averaging 17. I'm pretty sure Michael Jordan is like, what the fuck did you learn from me? You learn, you average 20 under me and you go to have your own team and you average 17. Motherfucker, what you doing? What you doing? What? What you doing? I done gave you the pedigree.
Starting point is 01:12:32 I done showed you in practice every fucking day what to do. Is he supposed to average a bunch of points? Is that what you mean? Fuck yeah. So whatever the point is. He's supposed to average more than he did. He's more than six, man. So as long as he doing that. If it was 21, he averaging more.
Starting point is 01:12:42 Hold on. What are you talking about? Hold on. Hold on. He got paid one what? What. What are you talking about? Hold on, hold on. He got paid one what? What the fuck are we talking about? Oh, 130?
Starting point is 01:12:50 130. You gave him 130 for averaging 20. No, I gave him 130 because he's a talented... Off the bench? He's a talented... Dude, off the bench.
Starting point is 01:13:00 A very talented young player. Not because he averaged 20 off the bench. Okay, 20 off the bench. and then I make you a starter, and you average in 17. Are you happy? I'm very happy. It's the first 11 games.
Starting point is 01:13:14 It's the first 11 games of the season. Let's go. Let's keep this thing moving. Yeah, we're feeling it. You happy. Very special hibachi time for everybody. But give me my graphic first. You know I need to see it.
Starting point is 01:13:24 We give grace to Dane Bliller, all these other niggas, but now, like, hibachi time for everybody. Give me my graphic first. You know I need to see it. We can have grace to Dane Bliller and all these other niggas, but now hibachi time. But we're doing a special one. They gave me a jersey for a reason. We're going to relocate to Gil's kitchen. They gave me a reason, Jordan, for our very special hibachi time. I'm coming
Starting point is 01:13:40 to zero back. They gave me the jersey. How many minutes? How many minutes? Two. Zero. Zero back they gave me the jersey. I mean y'all let me lead the way please 20 minutes to First go about you time show us where to go Gil. We don't like walking around another man's house Okay Yeah. Oh, okay. I don't know. I don't beat in every bathroom in here. Your dad's had everybody over for Halloween, right? Uh-huh. New dad, so we was walking around the neighborhood.
Starting point is 01:14:10 We getting a little tour of Gil's crib. His kids go to school by the door. He just started tagging along. We going back to the new house, having everybody over. We get back to the new house, he go open the doors and shit. George said, I had to start putting the pistol on. I was like, whoa. Wow, I love your hair. I got to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that.
Starting point is 01:14:26 I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that.
Starting point is 01:14:34 I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that. I'm going to cut the top of that.

Starting point is 01:28:16 If you get it up by December first 20,000 in the chat normally selfish, but last time I checked the poll, they said they want 500 people to get $20. I think it's smart on their part. More of them have an opportunity. That makes sense. More people get paid. So that means, what, 500?
Starting point is 01:28:32 That means 40 people get 500 if they can get to 500,000 for... By December 1st. By December 1st. And we will do this live on the show. Shit, y'all know me. Y'all know me. I'm erratic. So y'all motherfuckers get there by next weekend.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Fuck it. You said $2,500 would match $25, I believe, for $750. If we get the $750 by January 1st, I'm giving $75,000 out. Jeez. $75,000 out. $75,000 out in the chat. My money.
Starting point is 01:30:07 Record it. Record this chat. You heard what the man said. 75 bands coming out. Can we get to $750 by January 1st? I spilled it. We'll get two more. I spilled it.
Starting point is 01:30:19 Party fouls. We just got them walking around. I spilled. We just got them walking around. We just got two more. Hey. I just spilled. We just got them walking around. Yeah. Starting point is 01:30:44 Very respectful, but you know. I do have to go home after this. You're talking like your wife beat you. I came in first. Very respectful, but you know. I do have to go home after this. You're talking like your wife beat you, dog. Good. I have to go home after this. No, you just don't say nothing. Family man. I ain't say shit.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Thoughts don't escape you ever. Self-control. I played the fifth. All right, we got one last segment. We got one last segment to get into before we can get the... What is that? I'm civil. I just talk crazy. All right, we got one last thing though. We got one last time to get into before we didn't get the What is that? I'm civil. Starting point is 01:31:21 This side of the couch tell them bring This side of the couch That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right.
Starting point is 01:31:31 That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right.
Starting point is 01:31:39 That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. of Territorial on the court. He used to be Cheshire's over here. I live that. That's what we doing?
Starting point is 01:31:47 I live that. I love the villain role, but you know, I take the Cheshire. The play back always see his ass. He's like, damn. Okay. No, I'm not a villain. I'm 11-11. I'm a villain.
Starting point is 01:31:57 I'm not. As you know, when we do special shows like this, it goes off the rails rather quickly. Shout out to Underdog Fantasy for letting us live. Skip Bayless can't do this. His role in Beck's ain't this. letting us live. Skip Bayless can't do this. His Rolodex ain't this. Skip Bayless. He can take the picture, but he can't make it. Hey, I know. Hey, Shannon, I know what type of work you need.
Starting point is 01:32:14 We got it here. Nasty, this nasty meat. We can get nasty meat here. Pull up, uh. Somebody got to set up a trailer. So, last segment of the week, we got to show some love to Tyrese Halliburton. If you're a point guard named Tyrese in the Eastern Conference, it's a safe bet you're out here hooping.
Starting point is 01:32:33 So we've been showing love to Tyrese Maxey and deservedly so for what he's been able to do with the Sixers, and we're filling in for James Harden. But we got to give the other Tyrese in the East, Tyrese Maxey, Tyrese Halliburton, some flowers as well. So after dropping 25 points and 17 assists with no turnovers in an L against the Sixers Sunday, Halliburton put
Starting point is 01:32:52 up 33 points, 15 dimes and zero turnovers in a win in the rematch against the Sixers on Tuesday. Think about how crazy that sounds. Gil, you said definitely the turnover higher, lower, go lower. He's been going lower on them turnovers. Man said you said definitely the turnover higher lower go lower. He's shot. He's been going lower in turnovers Man, you know what? And this is not a shade against Lonzo. That's my guy
Starting point is 01:33:14 This is how I thought Lonzo would come into the league Right that you got the he's just all around You know to me you just had the all-around because this you know those vision is amazing. Yeah. Yeah, I think it was just a scoring Yeah, he didn't Like he didn't I think he was like, you know when you say be a point guard I think that when you say be a point guard it you take out scoring and You know, he brings both of them and I thought this is is what Zoe was going to be and how he should have been. This is your traditional PG with a little bit of today's game.
Starting point is 01:33:52 So according to ESPN stats and info, Halliburton is the first player with 25 points, 15 assists, and zero turnovers in consecutive games since the stats were tracked in 1977-78. How tall is he about six five He's six four without shoes. So six six NBA six that's impressive. Yeah, so Halliburton also has the most assists with no turnovers in a two-game span and he has a More than six assists to turnover ratio. This season. I'm a a little knee-bread it's a stick with me bear with me everybody 61 assist ratio Back in his day though zero is the ratio Chris Paul is number one on force turn over this versus I'm saying it's little dumb. You can catch that you don't do no dumb shit
Starting point is 01:34:43 And you guys got show love the lights gonna do is named Tyrese. It's a new day It's when you're like when I seen him coming to the draft I seen it was Steve. He was working out and go to state was there so Me and Steve Kerr talked about it and just you know, dude's tools is just different. I work out waiting. No, you did in Vegas Hey, oh yeah. Yeah. He worked out. Well, Joe Joe is did? In Vegas. Oh, in Vegas. Yeah, yeah. He worked out with Joe Boumizar. Mo the moody, mo the mighty. We prepared him, but when I seen him, I think we talked about it a little bit, but
Starting point is 01:35:11 I said he kind of reminded me of Kevin Martin, the awkward shot, how he just moved. But I'm like, bro, he was going to sack, so I was like, yo, sack, free-flowing movement, do what you need to do, but don't be afraid to play your game. Because just like Zo was going through, they were trying to change the shot, how he played, and it kind of affected him. Even Markel Fultz at the time was going through some like, hey, man, you got to change this, change that.
Starting point is 01:35:36 I'm like, hey, bro, you're going to try to change your shot. Let that shit go. Play the way you play. And he been doing that. And he going to be a problem. And he gonna be a problem. He gonna be a problem. I'll fuck with him a lot. How do you guys feel about them changing guys' shots so late in their careers?
Starting point is 01:35:53 Their career just starting. It's just... Like, certain guys need it. Yeah. Like, certain guys need it. Like, Lonzo Martin, like, the ball, like, he wasn't gonna be able to get that off. Yeah. Like, Lonzo Martin, there was no way in the NBA he was gonna be able to go from one side his body to the other to get there was no way feasible
Starting point is 01:36:09 He was gonna get that off. I don't think everyone is well But once you get to the top one's whole shot, but once you get here as one thing, but it's if it's coming Yes, the movie. Yeah, but he's coming from one side his body to the other And that that messed up like I called it out earlier, his pull-up. What it messed up is his going right pull-up. When you go right, right, and this guy's on his hip, usually I can just shoot here. Here, now he has to come across his body. So which means is if I push you right, I know you can only go into the basket.
Starting point is 01:36:42 You're never going to pull up. That's a defensive... I can track that. As for shooting, I shot like this. From the side. I shot from the side and then eventually
Starting point is 01:36:57 changed. People said my shot was too slow and I'll say, well, how are you going to block me if I know I'm not open? I can see you coming. I'll say, well, how are you going to block me if I know I'm not open? I can see you coming. I'm going to go. Eventually just nature just picks on. If I get, if I'm shooting and you block the fuck out of it
Starting point is 01:37:14 and you keep blocking it, eventually I know I'm going to change it. So when did you change your shot, Gil? Every year. Really? If you look at my shot when I first started versus my shot in Washington. The catch of it or the speed? The speed and mechanics. I try to get my shot off faster every year, but I don't necessarily, I don't think I've
Starting point is 01:37:30 changed the mechanics of my shot. It all depends on. 17. What I'm saying is your shot all depends on how you play. The older you get, you know when a motherfucker coming fast, like, all right, I'm fake, go. Right. Like, okay, I know he a jumper, so even though it look like it all right, I'm pumped, fake, go. Right. Like, OK, I know he a jumper, so even though it
Starting point is 01:37:48 look like it's open, I know it's not open. Eventually, you become aware of what it is. We've seen over time, when I was shooters, we guys would make shots. It don't always look pretty, but it got something to do with your depth perception. It's a lot of things that go in and shoot the ball. It ain't just look pretty, but it got something to do with your depth perception. Like, there's a lot of things that go in shooting the ball. It ain't just like how it look.
Starting point is 01:38:08 Like, the dude Kevin Martin, like, he was a hell of a scorer. That shit was ugly, but it went in. Like, Reggie Miller shot wasn't the prettiest. It was like second, third all-time threes made, but it's just once you get it here, it's what counts, but getting it there is what. You get that motherfucker off? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:28 Shit, I've always been a shooter, so. You're not a, but I'm saying. I ain't never had this many repetitions. You know what I'm saying? You're not a fast shooter, right? It's whatever the occasion. Yeah, see. Catch and shoot fast, curl, whatever.
Starting point is 01:38:36 Shot, shot, shot. Like when I see your spot up, it's like you have, you take your time. Yeah, I go through the Shot, shot, shot. Like when I see your spot up, it's like you have, like you take your time. Yeah, I go through the motions because I'm trying to warm up. It's like my warm up is all mechanical. It's like checking the oil under the hood. Okay, I'm here. All right.
Starting point is 01:38:58 Okay, cool. Now, if I miss and how I miss is going to be how I adjust. You know what I'm saying? Through the mechanics. So once I get four or five shots up, it's like, all right and you're you're I mean lefties are they have their own little mechanics Yeah, right. Just step back. Yeah Like but like most most lefties they it's they jump more and they they hold it Like nigga you thought.
Starting point is 01:39:25 I got two lefties and me trying to tell them how to shoot is a little different. Like, y'all are lefties, so y'all got to. Yeah, how do you do that, though? That is different. I show them tape of lefties. Somebody else? I show them tape. And what I do is I watch all the lefties.
Starting point is 01:39:39 So when I'm looking at it, I'm like, okay, that's their natural. But it's easier for me, man. Their natural is this this shooting this way, but it's when I say put your goddamn feet. I'm like, oh, that's right here in my man Yeah, it's very rare that you don't like left-handed people mostly can hoop if they get who like they who pay nice They who they fucking you You disgust Left-handed guy who can't shoot you like what are you doing? Tayshaun Prince, you know, what do you have?
Starting point is 01:40:22 Leon Clark. Oh Yeah, Keon Clark. We had another gift. Oh, yeah. He was mad. Oh, yeah He can't do that. Well, but you got to be able to know Thinking no guard ever ever Salim Stoudemire that lefty Nick Van Exel Chris Molly just go down a little like lefties is nice Travis best Kenny Anderson your guy Kenny at whoo the lefty jumper Lamar Odom tomorrow better not Jay rolls a lot is that they look but for some reason like the Some of them someone I should appear your shows nice
Starting point is 01:41:11 Thousand left in the bed. Oh, they're Christmas left. He was was that I was never Never missed Like just nasty just the way look his mechanics whole career his whole career is nasty There is her his whole career is nasty Was you warming up one time and he didn't show you enough? No, no, no, no, it wasn't that. It's just I don't fuck with the Matt Barnes shit. Oh, the Matt Barnes shit. Yeah, now lefties are...
Starting point is 01:41:51 Take your lady. You don't like the take your lady thing? So we got a mostly fans question. Let's take it over to the crowd. Nasty hoot. My high school team, both of them look nice. Sit there. Your whole life. Go ahead, you got it. Shut up. What you got, Killer?
Starting point is 01:42:03 All right, this question's for Gil. I believe it was 2010. Against the Lakers, you played in some Dolce & Gabbana strap-on sneakers. Were you really able to play your game in those luxury brand sneakers? And do you still have them? Okay, so, one, they were Nick Young shoes.
Starting point is 01:42:20 He wore them pregame, and I was like, yo, that matches our jersey. So I let him go off first, and then I snatched them shit. The reason I wore them is because they had a basketball bottom. Okay. Right? They didn't have the, like, McKenzie has a flat bottom. They didn't have, like, this kind of bottom.
Starting point is 01:42:38 It actually had a basketball bottom, which as long as it's a basketball bottom, I'm good. You know, so a lot of shoot a lot of companies like Louis Vuitton sent me shoes. Was it YSL that's your company. They shouldn't be they send me shoes But they didn't have the basketball bottom for me to go in there and actually play they still had like that Chuck Taylor tiger Yeah, so that was really okay. Who can talk to you? No, not why I'm not why I sell text why I sell so Because it's it's it's like flimsy. Mm-hmm. It's like it's flimsy. So that's that's too much impact No, but that's what bill russ that boy gonna have turf toe
Starting point is 01:43:16 That company really actually had the basketball bottom coming to play Is wild I think 56 they they was hooping it. It was in cover. And nobody said, damn, this shit is whack. And Phil Knight came along. Phil Knight came along. I can't imagine. Got shot by Magic.
Starting point is 01:43:32 Said, I'll go to MJ instead. I'll go to MJ. Yeah, this boy was wild. So we got to ask this question. We're talking about Tyrese Halliburton, Tyrese Maxey. So I'll give you the stats for this season. Maxey's averaging close to 28 points per game, seven assists, five rebounds shooting, four rebounds.
Starting point is 01:43:40 He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. He's got a lot of good shots. ask this question. We're talking about Tyrese Halliburton, Tyrese Maxey. I'll give you the stats for this season. Maxey's averaging close to 28 points per game, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, shooting 49% from the field, 43%
Starting point is 01:43:52 from three, 1.5 turnovers a game. Halliburton putting up 25 points a game, nearly 13 assists, 4 rebounds, shooting 51% from the field, 44% from three, 2 turnovers. Like we said, you got the six to one turnover ratio Yeah, mmm. Who's the best the one Tyrese in the East maxi or Halliburton?
Starting point is 01:44:14 Harry maxi he's the role of maxi. I mean maxi easy 50 ball they winning They win it pace was just close to their the show. That makes sense to his... Wait, who you want? Tyrese Maxey. For how you played? But I like the fact that he had... He's been waiting his opportunity. And he's got his opportunity right now and he's showing it.
Starting point is 01:44:37 Listen, man, we 8-1 because of me and Big Boi. So, at the end of the day, let's... That's how I'm looking at it. I'm Oliver. No, no, no. I like the way... I like the way he pays, but that's how I'm looking at it. I'm Halliburton. No, no, no. I like the way he pays, but they're... He's playing with less. I don't care, Steve Nash.
Starting point is 01:44:51 Well, I thought because you were point guard too that you would value... I just like Maxie though. I like swag. I don't care about all them old school point guards no more. Fuck all that. So you hating on his swag? You hating on his swag? Yeah, I'm hating on the aura the aura is ugly
Starting point is 01:45:08 Right now Pacers are 74 My nigga was about dot dot my bad my bad was a dot got me Albert putting up 25 13 for shooting 51 play like J. Co I'm gonna go with Halliburton because play like a rapper number go with Halliburton because that's more that seems like more it's harder 25 and 13. It seems hard. With less, with way less. Because he can average more if he just took away the assist. 50 with the MVP on your team is crazy. Reacting like he can't.
Starting point is 01:45:53 13 assists a game. That is right. 28 a game. 50 with MVP is crazy. Who's averaged 25 and 13 in this league? No one. He's averaging 25 and 15? 25 and 13 right now. 25 and 15? 25 and 13 right now.
Starting point is 01:46:05 25 and 13 right now. No one's done that. 25 and 13 as we sit on this couch. It's boring. It don't look like Luka. Yeah. That ain't boring. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:15 It is boring. It is boring. It is boring. He Tim Duncan and... It's flashy though. No look passive. No, it's impressive. He got no look passive.
Starting point is 01:46:22 It's impressive as fuck. And who's watching Indiana, patient? That's what I'm trying to say. That's the issue. Not a. And who's watching Indiana Pacers? That's what I'm trying to say. That's the issue. Not a soul. Nobody. That's what I'm saying. That's why it's nasty.
Starting point is 01:46:30 Would you like this game more if he was on the Lakers or the Bucs? Yes. Okay. That's important. Halliburton would be a star. It's that jersey. Whatever jersey you put on matters. Like, the fuck?
Starting point is 01:46:40 Hallie leading the league in assists right now. Anybody? League, channel. Let me watch Indiana Pacers. Indiana Pacers. Hell nah. Hell nah. Hell nah. We saw the situation when he got traded from the Kings he was heartbroken had to go to Indianapolis will be out there Oh, Joe Smith. this, I'm going to sleep. I'm hungry. They ain't make no food for us yet. I'm hungry.
Starting point is 01:47:05 No more shots for you. They got fake eggs up there. I'm hungry, though. I was just thinking of the side. They ain't got no food. I'm a hibachi connoisseur. I never realized these niggas had fake eggs. Hey, man, Joe Smith, come on on the couch, man, so we can get our manhood back.
Starting point is 01:47:20 We're not going to let the thought run around here talking about you need a job. We got a job. Can you scoot over? This job. We got a job, but can you see over this way? He won't be able to say shit no more about it right there No more fix it in the same side. You're no more big sit on the same side Joe number one pick win one pick number one time, but guarantee D when you see the mostly fair graphic Did you hear what she said to the man though? She was like, you know, won't you get Shaq to give you one of them Papa John's or something?
Starting point is 01:47:57 Yeah, that was just I don't care if it's fake. Don't talk to me like that. You got a buzzer friend Don't ever talk to me like that Yo, don't talk to me like that don't ever talk to me like that To get that to help Even give me one don't don't talk to me like what what's 1000% like that. I guys do not talk to me You can't have no more friends no more Joe Smith should have put her you say. Every friend you say, that's my friend, you got to sleep with them. Just cut. If your significant other tells you to open a Papa John's, that's...
Starting point is 01:48:28 No, Shaq, give him a... Go talk to your friend, Shaq. Remember when Ike Turner was like... He put the Papa John's on you? Ike! And I can tell you, Joe, if he gives you some, you don't need no help. We were like, and we'd just be running around days. We'd just start slapping.
Starting point is 01:48:41 Like, what's wrong with you, Ake? He's like, Teddy and... What's wrong with you, President? What's wrong with you, Ake? I was just trying to help Ike. Ike don't need no to help I I don't need no help We got a mostly fans question from the audience Um, I know everybody talks about goats and everything but what's your personal goat like I know Gilbert, you know, penny and Brandon AI But I just want to know what's your personal GOAT that impacted your career?
Starting point is 01:49:08 Personal GOAT? I'm going to say, I'm going to go with Penny. For my GOAT, Penny, because that's what made me really love the game. When we talk about GOATs, it's always biased because it's our feelings on what made us really love the game. So, you know, Penny Hardaway is my personal GOAT who really made me fall in love. I mean, when it came to the shoes, the style, the penny doll, like, it was different for me. Like, I watched NBA, but I didn't become a student until when I seen him on draft day.
Starting point is 01:49:48 And he came into the league and just watching, like, watching his lightest. Like, I didn't know nothing about no fucking Memphis and 25 and none of that bullshit. Right? And when I see, when I'm just watching the draft, I'm like, oh, who the fuck is this? When I went to high school, that was my number. My first year was 25. When I went to Arizona, I wanted 25.
Starting point is 01:50:12 My high school number was 25. When I went to Arizona, I wanted 25, but Steve Kerr was 25, so they retired it and I went to zero. But if it wasn't for that, my number would be 25 because of Penny Hardaway and that thing. That's my personal goal.
Starting point is 01:50:27 Why'd you pick zero when 25 wasn't available? Because coming from the Valley, they said I wasn't good enough to be a player at Arizona. Okay. I wasn't good enough, right. I think for me, I think for me it's two. It's two goals. It's AI.I. and Kobe. I just think Kobe's work ethic and what he brought to the game
Starting point is 01:50:49 and then A.I. just his swag and his aura to the game, like being that small at six foot and the things he was able to do at that eight, you know, watching him in the 0-1 finals against the Lakers, winning game one is like one of my like most watched YouTube clips I ever watch so yeah, just AI and Kobe to me and then myself like the fuck like You know, but I like what I've done for the game so and what I'm still doing
Starting point is 01:51:17 So yeah, you watch yourself and then be like, oh shit, Brendan. Hell yeah, like, damn, I was really... Yeah. And then I... But listen, it's like you. You watch your clips, come down here and kill. I'll watch my clips and then go create something dope for Tough Cry. Hey, I ain't gonna... Hey, I'm not gonna lie. So that's how I do it. I'll watch my shit and then my text game be savage. Yeah, yeah. For real, yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:39 Yeah, I'll watch my... I'm Agent Zero, girl. You gonna do what you gonna do. Yeah, like, I'll re-watch, like, what I did in the pop-up, be like, all right, what's next? All right, I'm about to kill him again. Lord, please let us get through this 100 episodes. You gotta look yourself in the mirror. Please let us.
Starting point is 01:51:52 You gotta look yourself in the mirror. Remind you who you are. Who I am. I got it. Dwyane Wade told me, never forget who you are. Bet. I am somebody, as the great Jesse Jackson once said. Jesse Jackson can watch out.
Starting point is 01:52:05 He tried to holler at my moms. Hey. What? What is going on? Hey, hold on. Hold on. Hey. What?
Starting point is 01:52:14 Jesse Jackson. You kind of. You kind of get a little, huh? You could have been a Jackson. You kind of. You could have been a Jackson. You wanted a Jackson. You wanted a Jackson.
Starting point is 01:52:23 Brandon Jackson, boy. You told me, boy. Come on, boy. You wanted a Jackson, boy! You're going to win, boy! Come on, boy. No, I was just laying up one time. I was laying up right in my rookie year. Like my rookie or second year, I was laying up and Jesse was like, what's up? How you doing? I was like, where's your mom?
Starting point is 01:52:36 I was like, where's my mom? The fuck? Where your mom's at? But yeah, no. Jesse Jackson's cool, though. He be saving people. He be saving us. He be saving us.
Starting point is 01:52:44 He be saving us though he be saving people Hey, I was mine 97 98 Transform the game for me, shaped it. Dribbling late nights in the parking lot, early mornings, just created the grind. And then the culture for what he was doing with the tats and the just rebel, renegade attitude. He had his own commercial, he was doing his own little dribbling shit. It was like nobody was better than him. It was like he was eclipsing Michael Jordan in 2002 2001 1999 like I just loved his approach to it and he was unapologetic
Starting point is 01:53:32 up until the end where they kind of pushed him in the corner where he you know but other than that Chuck Chuck is the hands down the goat you talk about influential you got to be up there near the top i mean we was all getting brave some of us more tender-headed than others had no business doing but trying to get that ai look right he low-key on a mount rushmore he's low-key i mean it's a you can fight it for everything just what he brought from the game i think i mean if you put him in around much more I ain't trippin okay who are your goats or goat you're about to pick a boxer now much as I'm a Pistons fan like Michael Jordan man is just that and but
Starting point is 01:54:22 as far as like that competitive nature and What he I approached it like was no prisoners like I don't give a fuck if I have friends in this or not This is by any means but somebody who I like tried to Emulate my game after and stuff like that when I was younger like I was a Sean Kemp guy. Oh Like I was real life like, I was a Sean Kemp guy. Oh. Mm-hmm. Like, I was real life, like, Rain Man couldn't tell me shit. Like, I was him.
Starting point is 01:54:51 Like, just a light-skinned version of Sean Kemp. Like, every dunk that he did, everything he was out of, I was going, trying to do it. Games, practice, and dunk contests, whatever I saw him do, and then they came out with them damn kamikazes in and I was like He was rocking with those at my high school colors at the time my junior senior high school colors green and black I wish mmm right on time. I don't hope that man got his cell phone back
Starting point is 01:55:20 Lexi who's your Cell phone I'm just being honest. When I was younger, I loved watching Kobe. For the same reason as Brandon, his work ethic was just crazy. I wore his shoes. He had my favorite shoes when I was growing up. And then when I got a little bit older, I would say Steph. And just the way he just revolutionized the game
Starting point is 01:55:40 and put a different type of value on three-point shooting. They always want to put us shooters, like, in a box. Like, that's all you can do. But he, like, just made it completely different. And now three-point shooters are some of the most valuable people on the court. How about in the WNBA? You know, I always loved watching Maya Moore play. She just made it look so easy.
Starting point is 01:56:06 But I knew I would never, ever be able to play that way. So another player I've really looked up to is Christy Tolliver. She plays for the Mystics now, but she went to Maryland. She's the reason why I went there. You know, she's one of the early players in the W and in college that was shooting beyond the arc, like, before it was, like, okay. So she's someone I've always looked up to. Who's the better shooter you heard that?
Starting point is 01:56:26 Me. Like, no question? Yeah, no question. Who was the first time you smacked him where it's like, I run this down? We haven't really even had any shootouts because I haven't really been around him that much. But one time we actually played one-on-one.
Starting point is 01:56:41 We played full court one-on-one once when I was a little bit younger. I was about to beat him, and I blew the layup. He tried to block it, I blew it, and then he went down and beat me. But that was the only time we've ever played, and now he's just older now. For everybody in the chat, Lexi's dad, Dee Brown, the legend, the Reebok Pumps. You know what I'm talking about? He can see. I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:57:03 You didn't know that? Listen, not only did I have no idea, I seen that nigga pop up on my story. Like, Dee Brown one of the heroes. I'm like, what is Dee Brown? And the homie was like, you know that's Lexi's dad, right? And I said... He gave me a follow on IG and made my heart flutter. I had just said sexy.
Starting point is 01:57:25 I don't want to have it. I was like, damn. I was like, damn, that's probably why he peeked in. Like, I'm going to have to warn this nigga, man. You're going to have to back up. Stay away. I'm going to have to back up, bruh. Back up.
Starting point is 01:57:35 Back up. He is always watching. He is always watching. I said, I get it now. I said, I get it now. He is always watching. I was like, I get it now. I was like, man, let me.
Starting point is 01:57:43 He's always watching. I love you. I love you. Mr. Brown, we are taking care of Eric's Eve with the utmost respect. We good? Yeah, we good, Mr. Brown. Learn when she get a little older. She older now. Your daughter older now. You'll see.
Starting point is 01:57:54 Look, who's this nigga over here, man? I was in my daughter's page, nigga. Some dudes look too old, nigga. Hold on. Nigga, I'm on that nigga. How old are you? Why are you following her? Mr. Martin, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:58:06 I go to high school with your daughter. Are you sure, nigga? Oh, I'm good. Oh, I'm good. Come on. Oh, it's going to get bad for her. Oh, yeah. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:58:14 Nigga, you dancing at 30. You're 30. You dancing at 30. You're 30, nigga. I wouldn't have it if I was you. Mine is delusional. I don't want to know if a nigga can fight. I just want to know if a nigga can fight.
Starting point is 01:58:23 What's up, nigga? Ain't going to be no fucking. No, but yeah, yeah. Mine is delusional. That's one. No, they ain't gonna be no Number yeah. Yeah, mine's delusional. She'd she over here talking about. Yeah, you know Michael be Jordan cute That's who you're going after Good luck with the bro. Okay Don't keep shooting for that you'll be a virgin forever So I'm good
