Welcome back to Gills Arena presented by Underdog.
Whoa, whoa!
It don't translate.
I can tell you that shit.
Oh, no, it translates.
No, it don't.
The way I've got to get on that grass, bro.
You got to get on that grass getting off that turf.
Trust me.
You say you go hit the ball two times a week?
I'm a shooter.
So that put game, that's all me right there.
And that's what I do.
For the show.
That's what I do.
I work on a long ball.
He's straight.
He knows.
He knows.
He's been there.
Long balling.
He's done watch.
So when y'all did play, what was his game, like, one time?
He was in a lad.
I was in last.
He's talking about him.
I was in last?
He was all together.
I was in last?
I didn't ever seen him.
This was like five,
this was like five, four months ago.
It took us four hours to play a front nine.
So somebody asked, what does his swing look like?
I ain't ever seen him for your club.
It ain't like that.
It looked like Paul's.
Paul Pierce.
Look like Paul Pierce.
Okay.
You don't, see.
Paul said he played.
That's the show.
You let him do this.
You let him do this.
You're his teacher.
Play with etiquette.
I'm just saying.
You let him do this.
You let him come up here on.
So, Casey, you sing in the Gillswian Club?
He said you.
So honestly, in your honest opinion.
Mr.
Miyagi.
See?
All right.
I told you.
Mr. Miyaz.
I tell you for people that know how to play.
Paul Pierce could be both of them.
You his teacher.
Oh, wow.
You was a teacher.
You was teacher.
You said he could be both for them?
No.
Dumplin.
You said,
A little, nothing.
A little.
Said Picking people over there?
Yeah.
And Lou?
Dwight on a golf course.
I just thought he was talking about Chinchay, my favorite reference.
Hey, let's go, man.
I beat him by them in 30 strokes while he was cheating.
The last time we played.
He did.
I know.
I know.
It was embarrassing.
On that now, we got some basketball to discuss.
It was at Atlanta, New York game at the game at the game.
the New York game at the end, that game, that last game, that was that.
Here, just started?
No.
He'd been working with him for at least three months.
You know how long it takes you to be good at golf?
Like, a lifetime.
Okay.
You don't got enough life for to be good at golf.
No, we don't have enough.
You don't have enough.
You ain't tight.
Well, happy Cinco de Mayo to everybody.
Oh, it is single to my own.
You should know.
That's your people.
Don't celebrate with your people.
But this is Gilles Arena presented by Underdog.
Woo-Wo!
I'm merely a host, Josiah Johnson.
We got NBA legend and Arc Raiders Most Wanted Gilbert J. Arenas.
Back here in Gil's Arena.
Damn, I'm gonna, man.
Ankle monitor, no, we good.
Who?
No, just making sure.
You got in trouble?
No, just making sure.
Dacey laugh hard.
What'd you do?
I ain't saying no names.
See, the next to Gil.
We got NBA champion in the world.
Swaggy P, Nicky.
Back here with a...
Representing tough crowd in the car carrying country club member.
We got Mr. B. Brandon Jennings.
Play with etiquette.
Ladies and gentlemen, play with etiquette.
Seems like that goes without saying.
I always play with etiquette.
But you gotta let them now.
Uh-oh, you got...
You got some gloves.
I ended up getting another one yesterday
from brother, Mr. Kenyon Lee.
Kenyon Lee.
Yeah, see, it was a...
That's how nice I am.
That's how nice I am.
Look at that.
I'm collecting golf clubs.
Go ahead, though.
He made some good shots yesterday.
So I made some good putts as well and some good shots, but it was a group activity and my group lost.
Do you talk when you play?
Do I talk?
Talk.
Like what you mean?
Have conversation.
Wow, somebody's putting or?
Just, yeah, period.
Try not to.
Oh, see?
Etiquette.
Try not to.
This side of the couch, we got the distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff, former number one pick,
pick Canyon Martin back here with him.
You will not catch him talking on the golf pool.
Yeah, no, not with somebody swinging.
I try to...
Not even a cough.
Yeah, no, you try to play the right way.
Okay.
Play with etiquette.
Yeah, that's all.
You try to respect...
No.
Because you ain't going to always play with people you know, right?
Mm-hmm.
So if you're doing that shit with them,
then you're going to do with people who you don't know.
So that's...
I'm talking.
I got to ask questions.
That's why it takes so long.
Mm-hmm.
And last but not least, the man they call Cemetery Larry NCAA champion of the world Dr. Rashop McCants, Ph.D.
Living a scholarly life.
That was easy.
We got a lot to discuss on the basketball front.
Here's what's cracking in Gill's arena today.
Ant-Man in the Wool came into San Antonio and stole game one.
What did Minnesota expose about Wimby and the Spurs?
The Knicks made history with their blowout win over the season.
Sixers in game one.
Was Philly just fatigued from their game seven win or are the Sixers cooked?
And LeBron set another record in the Lakers series clinching road win at the Rockets.
But does the purple and gold have any hope in round two against a defending chance?
But before we get into all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog.

They still do that cold gil shit.
They still do that.
They're still using cold gil when they download the underdog app.
I ain't seen you in a minute.
Hell, I don't know.
I was on, what did I call that?
Low manager.
Low managing.
Yeah.
Low managing, you know what I mean?
Trust the process.
Uh-huh.
We got a lot of playoff basketball to get into.
Let's start in the Western Conference where the Spurs and Woolsey.
where the Spurs and Wolves met Monday night for game one of their Western semi-series.
San Antonio had been chilling since hitting the Blazers with the gentleman's sweep last Tuesday
while the wolves were riding high after knocking out Joker and the Nuggets in six games
without Ant-Man Dante DiVinchenza or Iyo Dissuma.
But they did have Jada McDaniels, dropped a career high 32 points in the series clinching win.
Minnesota is the first team in NBA history to win a playoff game while missing three or more players
who averaged 10 plus points per game in that series.
So wolves got some good news before game one with Ant-Man making his first.
returned just nine days after suffering a hyper-extended knee and bone bruise.
Wimmy delivered a historic defensive performance.
But the wolves came through in the clutch to steal the win.
Let's take a look at the highlights if we can.
Please.
Game was back and forth in the first half.
Both teams fighting for each and every bucket.
Amen did not start, but he made his presence felt.
Right away, Spurs jumped out to an early seven-point lead, but the wolves responded to go up one
after the first frame.
Like I said, Anthony Edwards did not start but made his presence felt.
He had 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting in 25 minutes of action.
Julius Randall finished with a game high 21 points and also had 10 boards.
Jayden McDaniels had 16 and 5 boards.
Terran Shannon Jr., who started in place the Ant Man, had another solid game, 16 points
and 5 rebounds.
And Mike Conley Jr. got his third straight start, finished with 12 points and 6 assists.
He was 4 for 7 from 3 and 24 minutes.
Spurs had 8 players scoring double figures.
Wimby, dominant defensively but struggled on the offensive side of the ball.
Aliens still messed around, dropped a triple double,
finished with 11 points, 15 rebounds, and an NBA playoff record, 12 blocks.
Wembees third player in NBA history with a playoff triple double,
which includes blocks, joining Hakeem and Andrew Bynum.
However, he was just 5 for 17 from the field,
0 for 8 from distance, scored just 5 points in the second half.
Dylan Harper was big off the bench, leading the Spurs with a team high 18 points on 7-13 shooting.
Devoncastle and Julian Champany both had 17.
Castle fouled out though a little over three minutes left in the game.
The Aaron Fox only 10 points on 5 or 14 shooting had 6 to 6 and 6 turnovers as well.
Ant Man took over early in the fourth.
scoring 11 in the first five minutes to help get the wolves back on top.
Wolves were up 9 with under 5 minutes remaining.
We're still up 7 with under 2 minutes remaining.
Spurs tried to rally. San Antonio cut the Devon to 2 after Devon Vassell stole Amman's inbound pass
and Harper raced down to court with a wide open dunk with 37 seconds remaining.
remaining. Then Julius Randall missed a jumper on the wolf's next possession. Spurs had one last
chance to dance. Mitch Johnson opted not to call a timeout. Julian Champany went for the win, but
missed the three at the buzzer to give the wolves a win. So after the game, Wimby and Ant Man
had this reaction to the wolf stealing game one and home court advantage.
It's a lot of me because obviously my game wasn't good, wasn't feeling good tonight, and thus
where the team is going to look for me, you know.
And, you know, if I had to be better, if the offensive leaders of our team have been better,
it would have been different.
What is it about these playoff environments on the road that kind of, you know,
set you off and really motivate you?
I mean, everybody in the arena is against us.
Yeah, I think that's the best thing.
And that's the best thing about it.
Like, you start on the road.
everybody got on pink, blue, and whatever the color shirts there is,
chanting, go, Spurs, go, and doing all that.
And, you know, I'm with Minnesota.
Like, I got Minnesota back at all times.
So I'm out there with my brothers, and we're going to war.
So, Sean, we're going to start with you.
I know you're a big wimby guy, big Spurs guy.
Biggest takeaways from the Wolves game one win over the Spurs in San Antonio.
It's not traumatic at all.
I think that from the standpoint of Wemby playing the way he played, DeAren Fox playing the way he played,
the Wool's playing the way they played, Rudy Goberra played the way he played, Shannon Jr., Mike Conley,
I think to lose the game one shot, we're in good position.
I think what's happening right now in the media space is everybody is jumping to conclusions after one game,
everybody in their real-time commentary, you know, end-all, be-all.
every game is going to be, you know, the end of the world.
But I think now that we're in the second round,
every game is going to be analyzed a little bit differently.
I think a little bit more patient is going to be exhibited
with a lot of different teams, especially like with the Spurs
and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Because you can still game one, but you can see first round
what happened with the magic and the pistons.
What happened with the Celtics and the Sixers,
things can change game by game depending on who shows up.
So I think right now with Wimby not playing good and Fox not playing good still lose by three
it's a bright spot there to make some adjustments.
I don't think defensively it needs to be too many adjustments but to pay a little bit more
attention to Shannon Jr. because he's showing me a little bit of what a Cam Thomas,
a Cam Whitmore high velocity score off the bench that they overlook that he's coming in, he's
showing his promise.
And I like what he's bringing to the game.
I like what Mike Connolly's doing, Nas Reid.
You gotta give Rudy Gober's credit.
I think he's in his bag right now.
He's in his defensive bag.
And what he did to Wimby was definitely commendable.
What he did, the Joker, you know, I've been trying to figure out
why my burping babies took so long.
I think they're in customs.
I ordered some customized burping babies.
But Rudy, he deserves, he deserves a lot of credit, you know what I'm saying?
And, you know, it's game.
Game 1 is down, next game, let's do it.
Let's shift over to you, Canyon.
So wolves did not have Dante Divencenzel, obviously, out for the remainder of the season.
I would assume it was so big in that first round series did not play in game one.
But Amman comes back, but only plays 25 minutes.
I think Spurge shot like 28% from 3.
Nasty game shooting across the board.
But what are your biggest takeaways from the wolves coming into San Antonio,
hostile environment, and stealing game one?
I'm glad you bought up burping babies.
That same burping baby that you speak of, during the regular season he was eighth in scoring.
First and assists.
First and rebounds.
Accident to first round, you know when Nicola was?
Eighth in scoring.
First and assists.
First and rebound.
So...
First one out?
Yeah, but...
Team.
Yeah, but that's a team sport.
But him doing his...
Team convert.
The only thing that he didn't do,
Well, he shot 19% from three.
Right?
44 from 45 from the field.
That's, but if I told you, a dude average 28, 13, and 9 and a half, you would say he had a good series, right?
25, 26.
It's a good series, but yeah, ain't nobody getting burnt.
But shout out to your guy.
But yeah, no, hey, Minnesota is a better team than I gave credit to initially, right?
Right.
Them doing what they did to them with the way they did and going on the road and getting this
was key, I'm saying, for their confidence, for their momentum moving forward.
Getting aunt back was a surprise.
It was saying that he wasn't going to make it back to the middle of the series.
Fighting through whatever his pain threshold is, he's doing that to will his team, which is
important for the start to be out there. Yeah, and San Antonio didn't shoot the ball well
from the field. Part of that is the way that Minnesota defended them. Yeah, Minnesota
played well on the road, game one. Went in there in a hostile environment, was able to get
one. The first game is, hey, now you play on house money, and heaven forbid you go down and
get another one, right? And Minnesota is a team with more experience, right? They've been there
The last two years, been in the West Combs Finals the last couple of years.
That's not to be overlooked, which my naïveness did,
going against the Nuggets because I thought the Nuggets had their number this year.
But that experience came through once again from Minnesota on the road in a hostile environment.
I think they're going to game plan even better for game two.
I think Chris Finch did a hell of a job, game planning, implementing that game plan,
giving Mike Connolly extended minutes when you need that comment.
common force out there to get things organized, made big shots, big shot laid off the wimby block, found him in the corner for a corner three was a huge shot.
But made timely plays, man.
Staying ready.
Staying ready for the young guy Shannon, stand ready for Mike Connolly, who minutes was sparingly throughout the season.
Stand ready.
So, yeah, so Minnesota got a date.
San Antonio played well.
Lost by two, of course, on their home floor, which, you want to get that one.
but yeah, they played well, didn't shoot the ball particularly well.
We'd be taking eight threes when your game is not,
when you don't feel it offensively is not the move.
I think Julius Rounden did a hell of a job
keeping him away from the basket when he was on him.
Of course, they was able to throw different bodies at him,
give him different looks.
And I think they're going to do more of the same.
They're going to crowd him even more,
make him play in the crowd,
and make him shoot jump shots.
And I think if they're doing that,
then I feel they feel their recipes for success
would be even better.
I'm in game two, but it was a good game one.
And they say, obviously, first game,
usually the easiest one to steal in the series.
But let's shift over to you, Mr. B.
Biggest takeaways from the Wolfs coming into San Antonio,
taking game one from the game.
I got a shout out to the coach, Chris Fitch.
The way he had Ant playing,
I think in the fourth quarter,
I think he only played him 25 minutes,
but in the fourth he played like 10.
That's when Ant was able to do his thing.
They had six guys in double figures in scoring.
Kenyon just said, you know, Wimby 0 for 8 from the three.
You know, if you can let him just keep doing that, you know, keep playing outside the paint,
you know, that's going to benefit the wolves.
The wolves also scored 52 points in the paint.
The fact that when we had 12 blocks was great, but you just got to keep attacking,
keep attacking them downhill and just keep playing as a team.
You know, second round of the playoffs,
you definitely want to go in there and get home that first win,
and that's what they did.
It's going to be a dog fight, though.
It's going to be definitely a dog fight.
And can't wait to see what happens in the game, too.
Like you said, Wolf's 52 points in the pay.
But first, excuse me, Spurs 58 points in the pain in that game.
Fur is also 27 to 10 and fast break points.
So you just look at the numbers without looking at the score.
You would think that San Antonio likely would have won that game
did not happen.
But Swaggy, let's shift over to you.
Oh, man, I'd like to say that.
Minnesota got a lot of O KC, you know, when it comes to finding players.
Because these guys that they bring it in, I feel like could do a lot.
A.O.
A.O. is not playing yet.
And I feel like when he's getting, fix his calf and something that's going to bring more
depth, right now they're playing with the older Mike Connolly and he's, you know, performing.
He's outperforming.
Fox, first game.
And that's tough.
You know, for the spurs, you can't let that happen.
Go Burr, you got to give him all the props, all the credit.
To, you know, do what he's done.
To a so-called top five big, one of the best players in the league.
But no, without your superstar, you put him out.
Shannon Daniels becoming a star in his lead.
I love the way he's playing.
I feel like him and aunt got a future, you know, Jordan Pippen thing going on.
And isn't showing why this is going to be his league.
He's the face of the league why people love him.
He's relentless.
He don't get the props he deserved.
You never talk about him in an MVP race.
When it comes to the first teams, he all in the same situation as Luca and Cade.
He's the one that get left out.
But he's there.
And people love it.
People love him.
Right now, going out there, 75% at 24 and doing the moves he was doing last night,
learning how to takeover games, learning how to pick off defenders.
Don't drive to the lane would have been dunks if he was 100%.
I just love it.
I love the confidence they got in each other.
Really, I'm
State Future, Minnesota, the best guard,
Ant Man in the league.
Ant Man Future faces the league, in your opinion, Swaggy.
Best Guard now.
Best Guard currently in the National Basketball Association?
Better than SGA?
Best Guard now.
Best Guard, okay.
Shift over to you, Gil.
Biggest takeaways from the Wolf's getting that
game one win to take home corner advantage in the series.
So is that the fact or your preference?
Best guard.
Is that a fact or your preference?
Preference?
Preference.
Just say preference.
I'm asking for a friend.
I'm asking for a friend.
You didn't just say preference?
No, no.
Because he does a lot of things that they can.
You want to help him out?
Help him.
No, I get it, but.
He does a lot of things that shape him.
When you say, when you say facts, you got to have a fact.
They're helping.
They say perfect.
He does a lot of things that shake hands.
No, no, I get that.
I'm just saying.
Just say preference.
You prefer him.
You said something else too early.
Stand on 10.
You said D Fox?
You remember you said D Fox was getting, you said he's
getting outplayed by who?
He did.
Whimmy got that played by Goberder?
He's a superstar.
Stand on 10.
So I mean Gober
Joker
and...
Say it again?
And Winby?
Say the game?
Say the game?
He got outplayed them too.
No, not really.
No, he didn't
not play, no.
He didn't know.
He didn't outplay their team did.
Yes.
But Nick,
so.
Nick, shut him down.
Nick, no, answer.
So is that your preference or is that a fact?
Is that a superstar?
Huh?
Is that a superstar?
Is that?
Answer my question, though.
You're not asking my question.
Yes, it's a fact.
Preference or is that?
Oh, fact.
It's your fact?
No, fact.
Or the guy that won NPP.
What's the guy that won NDP?
What's the guy that won NDP?
You got to add all that in.
You got to add all that in.
At that age, yes.
They got to add all that in.
Did he go to a Western Conference final at 24?
They're both in the NBA right now?
No.
Got to add all this in.
They're both in the NBA right now?
I add all this in.
Help your own boy?
You don't need no help.
I got to add all this end.
That was easy.
I got you over.
Let's shift over to you.
I love the jacket.
Is that a, is that a Thai lewd?
Is that a...
Luke Canara.
Oh, okay.
Just making sure, just check.
The white wonders.
Tell the people what's note came with it, though.
Oh, yeah, so...
So a note came attached to it.
And it said,
this white boy is good, ain't he?
Enjoy the jersey.
Signed, Luke Kinnart.
Oh, shit.
But biggest takeaways.
It should have said, would have made even better.
Make sure can you get this?
Oh, man, that would have been funny.
That would have been hilarious.
That would have been hilarious.
The biggest takeaway is
Timberwolves are
Western Conference Finals
two years in a row for a reason.
This series is over.
I'm just going to be honest with you.
Over for who?
For the Spurs.
Wow.
Sacrae Blue.
And I'm just going to say it.
There was nothing the Spurs did that showed anything that can beat the wolves in the series.
They still don't know what their offense looks like.
Wimby still can't.
He still don't understand guard offense.
When you have a guard on you, you have an offensive book.
When you have a big on you, you have an offensive book.
Right? So the fact that they can stick a shooting guard or a small forward on you and you still don't know what you're doing,
that is not acceptable in the playoffs against a team that went to the Western Conference Final two times.
Right? You're playing against an elite team.
There's nothing that's on the spurs that's not experienced on that team.
You won defensive player a year. He got four.
Right?
They have an ant-man, right?
They have a Daniels.
They have established guys in his leagues.
They have a six man.
So when you're looking at the spurs, the excitement,
Wendy could have been out of the game at the nine-minute mark.
Right?
He got a foul on Rudy Goldberg.
The very next play, they came down.
They called it the block, but he slapped all this right here.
If that's on the road, foul, sit down.
Right?
He puts himself in situations where he's going to be in foul trouble
in this series when he goes on the road.
road.
It's just the inexperience.
That's all that it's really showing.
It doesn't show like the team themselves can keep up and stay grounded.
The wolves have a game plan that I don't think Spurs is ready for, and it's happened to Rudy
Goldberg his whole career.
Wemby might get played off the court in the fourth quarter.
Because in the fourth quarter, he has to guard Nas Reid
or Julius Randall at the five.
He's not going to take advantage of them offensively,
but he has to sit at the three-point line,
Ant Man drives.
When they came back, it was because Rudy Goldberg got back in the game,
and now he gets to match back up.
But before, he has to guard one of those guys,
and Edman is just driving to the lane.
He can't protect the basket with the two guards, I mean with the two bigs out there shooting three.
So there's going to be a point in time where they're going to look at him and like, man, do we just go small and match and not play our big man?
Which would be a disastrous too.
But they're going to, wolves is going to do that in the fourth quarter to him and see if they can adjust to it.
But it just seems like it just seemed very young when you just watch, when you just watch the game.
like I'm just like damn
they're calling that a block
that could have been a foul
that could have been a foul that could have been a foul
like you're looking at a whole bunch of things
that's like damn
don't jump you like my
I'm telling them don't the first five minutes
of the game man is very important for you
because if you get one
they're gonna keep attacking until you get two
then you got to sit down
so Wemby playoff record 12 blocks
he was on the road by this shit yeah
I know I know I know
first first fucking quote like
but 12 block after the game
Chris Finch I think complained about it said
a lot of those were gold tans or foul
You had Terrence Sandin Jr. after the game saying he's still going to attack Wimby.
They kind of talk shit back and forth.
He said he's going to catch him slipping at least once.
But Wolf not deviating.
It doesn't seem like they're afraid of Wimby, even though he did have those 12 blocks.
I mean, the goal tenet is after the fact.
I'm talking about the ones where it's foul.
Like, even at the end of the play or at the end of the period where Julius Randall went down and dunked it,
that could have been an end one.
Those are the things you got to watch out for and not get yourself in those situations
because it's very important to you.
And he finally admitted something I've said the whole time.
The way you play offense, you tire yourself out.
Right?
You spend so much time trying to take guards off the dribble, right?
Biggs off the dribble.
You want to put the ball on the floor as soon as possible.
You're just getting yourself tired,
and you don't play enough minutes to be in shape to do what you're trying to do.
And you're going to just tire yourself out.
So, you know, it's the rule of thumb, guard on you,
turn and shoot.
There's no reason to put that ball.
I don't give a shit if it's that half court.
Shoot it.
Right?
You got the big, you got Rudy Gober on you,
take his ass off the dribble.
Right?
You dunked on him two times.
So learn how to play both games.
What up the guards are pushing them out?
Because you use your size, man.
Pushing them out.
No, I mean, he can shoot three, right?
He's not strong enough.
I don't think he's not strong enough.
How the fuck you get pushed?
Were they pushing you back at you?
No, but I'm just saying,
he'd go 08 from the three and shoot net.
It's like he's super.
That means, like, he's shooting some books.
He can't get to the elbow?
I guess, I guess not.
He can't spin?
That's all I'm saying.
He can't spin live.
I mean, he's not doing it against a small guard.
He can't have an off night?
No, I'm saying, but this is a, like, it's a theme, though.
It ain't just an off night.
This is something we've been saying for a minute.
He was 35% from the three.
But he will concede.
He had an off night, so if he hits those shots, we're not having this conversation.
We've seen this more times than not where he concedes.
So Gil's point is he plays against everybody.
the same, right?
If there's a big rudy on him, take him off the bounce.
If there's a smaller guy on you, why are you putting the ball on the floor?
We see him trying to dribble against guards.
He's done it all.
He's done it since he came into the NBA.
Which is why he's number one in MVP voting.
That's why he was at the top.
That's your MVP voting.
He was at the top doing what he's done all season long.
If he changes what he's done all season long, he ain't going to win no award,
the team won't be here.
God damn.
Like what the point the man is making is.
is he plays because everybody.
But James is not small, though.
He's not a small guard.
Like, get to the elbow, turn around.
Name any scoring big man throughout history.
You can put a guard or a small ford on them.
You can't name no player in history.
He's bumping.
Because there's only one wimby.
You're not going to name a bunch of guys that can do that.
Okay, just name any small ford or any big guy that has an advantage against a car.
That's going to sit in the shoes.
Just flip it to it.
You ain't even got to do that right now.
You ain't even got to do that.
In today's NBA, if Jalen Brunson gets a big on him, is he going to try to post him up?
No.
He's going to try to go buy him.
If Tyreeze Maxy gets a big guy out there on him, he's going to use his speed, right?
That's what we're asking of Wimby to do.
When you get a small on you, don't try to go buy him.
Use your size.
Go down there and get you a catch where he can't affect your game.
at all.
That's all the man is saying.
Like, just get down and get a kid.
You got a guard on you.
You got Wimby on you.
You got Walthe Castle on you.
He can't move his feet.
That's what I've been saying.
You got Joel on you.
He can't move his feet.
I don't think he's wrong.
Well, the reason why he's not
because he's playing down.
What I'm saying is, if I'm playing small.
If he's posting up at the mid post,
what are you doing to push him out of three?
Using physical strength?
I mean, I mean,
two hands are just pushing on another file.
No, I know I'm saying.
Before he get it, though,
he's struggling.
That's why you gotta learn tricks.
Do you know there's a rule where if you turn in face, they can't touch you?
That is actually an NBA.
If I got the ball, you can do all this all you want.
I turn in face, you have to do this.
You're six foot.
What are you doing?
Six, I mean, seven, yeah, yeah.
He can shoot one, he can do this.
This is, if he just stands up.
Even Jay McDaniel, right?
He can't.
Him on him, right?
He can shoot right over him.
He said he can't shoot over.
He shoots over Rudy Goldberg.
You're telling me you can't shoot over McDaniels.
If it was that easy, I think all the bigs would be doing.
All the bigs ain't seven five.
I mean, well, the bigs that did do it.
I mean, all the bigs that did do it.
All the big is, Tim.
Tim Duncan?
If a small switch is onto a big in today's game and they go down and they say,
hey, just throw it to me.
I'm just going to throw it up.
We don't, it's not that easy.
It don't just happen like that.
When y'all making it, like, that's what he should do because he's seven and five.
That ain't how to get that.
games play.
You go down there like, I mean, Anthony Davis.
If Joker has a lot.
If Joker has a little one, him.
They're going to switch, they're going to double, whatever any.
And B?
Okay, C.
And he was trying to do what?
Post them up the whole time, right?
What was he trying to do?
What was he trying to do?
What was he trying to do?
He was just collabbing, but what did he didn't sit at the three point line trying to
go around and duck on him, because he can't do that.
So you're talking about, you're talking about,
Bowman and Emily, you put a guard on him, he's trying to take him.
Allan, right, every big man is trying.
Every moment.
Maybe he just don't happen any.
Maybe that's just not in this game.
I'm not looking.
But give it to your point,
Wimby had his worst offensive player game of his first postseason.
He's a shot A3.
Not including that game two versus a players
where he left with a concussion.
The issue is he shot A3.
What did he say out his mouth?
I'll tell you if you let me talk.
Tell me.
Let me tell you if you let me talk.
What do he say?
So Wimby was asked
would he could have did better offensively
or would he can do better offensively
in game two and had this response.
Start been making some shots.
I felt like no, I had to use my energy.
You know, obviously it used a lot of it on one side of the court.
And on the other side, I used too much, offensively, I used too much energy
and things that didn't really help our team.
So that's on me.
But first thing I started by making some shots.
O for eight from three. He makes one of those.
He goes one for eight.
Excuse me?
If he makes one.
Just one. Just one? Just one? Just one? Just one? The fact is he did not.
Right? Y'all with this, he did not. He did not. Right? He'd make a three. Yeah, yeah, he would still be playing.
He would be playing. They're not. So he did. He did. He shot 19 and he didn't. And they had home, God damn it. So what?
Go birdie. He'd make him shoot bad. For that three point line. You got to take away something. Yeah.
And Wimby thought that was his advantage.
Let me pull him out of the post.
Let me shoot these threes.
I was off.
That's a bad little strategy for him.
Like, hey, usually I could make one or two of these.
Bring him out.
19% from the three.
He shot more threes than we would think.
You would think he would be down there bourbon babies, but he wasn't.
It was just like.
And that's not, that's not Wimby's game.
They made Joker try to be ecstatic.
I said, I wouldn't think Wimby is that dumb to say Rudy Gauber,
I'm gonna take you out another seven footer to shoot a three.
I would think that he would say Rudy Dorbo, feet is bad.
I'm gonna get by him and go dunk it because you did that.
Went by, ha, right?
So if that's what you do, then come back and start shooting threes against another seven footer.
No.
Something's wrong with you.
Like, imagine me bringing, I got motherfucka fuck a shack out here.
And then I settle for a three.
I do not know basketball.
You do do that.
No, I don't.
No, I don't.
It's different, Nick, because you got a,
No, I don't.
When you open up the bag.
I get to the bag.
You open up the bag.
You just like how Man shot three and we win me on them.
I should the three.
Got to make one, right?
You got to.
You got to.
He just made one before that, though.
He just made one before that.
Yeah, he was on fire.
Man, he can't go buy him right now.
He has thrown one leg.
I'm just saying, it's not smart basketball.
He has thrown one leg, can't go by him.
If I can hit a three and I can drive, I can open up my game.
If I hit the three, I'm going to hit this three and he got to guard me now.
He got to guard me now.
Now I can drive them.
That's basketball.
Come out here.
Let me do that.
If I drove you and I dunked you already,
that means you're going to do what now?
Back up.
You're going to back up.
Now I got to make you honest on my jumper.
I just didn't find it.
Okay.
That's it.
That's what happened.
Oh, because he didn't back up.
He didn't find it.
He didn't back up.
You dumped on me.
I'm still playing just tough.
Because I know what you want to do.
You want to shoot the three.
Right?
I mean, let me be still.
driving still going to get an easier.
Yeah.
Like, it's still a closer shot.
Yeah, for 7.5.
Closer to the bad.
So regardless if he wants to back up or not, I'm still going.
It's still an opportunity to miss the shot, too.
Yeah.
You can still miss it.
It ain't guarantee.
But it's a higher percentage.
Higher percentage close to the back.
I guarantee he shoot higher from two than he do from three.
Fantastic.
That I do know for a fact.
Hey, Rudy Goldberg.
Rudy Goberr kept a dude that was at what, 60% from the field?
Why y'all keep bringing him up?
60% from the field?
Listen, you do it all?
To 49% from the field.
Those are contested too.
You know how the bar has to be for y'all to keep doing it, right?
How the bar has to be?
Yeah, but Winby's way more athletic, though, then.
You don't need to forget it?
When Rudy Gober can contest shots,
he can play good defense on you at the two-point position.
But Winby's also, like, he's very athletic, though.
Yeah.
Like, Joker's not that.
Like, Joe, yeah.
No, I'm just saying, who blocked him last night trying to drive?
Oh, nobody.
Yeah, nobody.
There was some guys trying to block them.
Trying to doing the two separate things.
People tried to block Jordan.
That's the mean it.
People tried to guard Kobe.
The whole point of defense.
Try.
We shoot 100%.
Nobody shoots 100%.
No, no, no.
He don't shoot 100%.
Shoot higher from 2.
But I bet you that I will rather you shoot that
than shooting threes.
Eight threes.
10?
No.
Didn't shoot 10 threes this year.
It was down.
It was down.
You know what?
I don't care what.
Well, yesterday he shot in.
It went over.
Okay, I can just tell you what he did last night.
I can only go with I saw last night.
He shot 8.3.
But he saw 17 shots.
I do think a closer shot for him is way.
So eight of his 17 shots or three?
Six three is a game.
Does that sound cool for him?
In the regular season.
Absolutely.
For the 5 man, the 7-5 dude, eight of your 17 shots or threes.
And you didn't make none of them.
And a lot of them was on guard.
And you sued 35% for three.
That don't sound good.
For sure.
The 75 got eight of your 17 shots is threes and you don't make any of them.
It's the most threes he's taking all posse.
And you drove past the man every single time to get to the doctor.
No, not every single time.
Yeah.
Stop.
The man said he was tired.
What are he tired from?
What do you get tired from?
What energy is.
Glenn hard?
What energy is you waiting for?
Glenn deep.
He said off.
He wasn't getting tired for shooting three.
What is he doing?
He can't be tired for shooting three.
Obviously.
Grind to drive.
Exactly.
If he could drive every time and score every time he would do it, you don't think that.
Exactly.
You don't think a motherfucker in their head.
If I can score it every time.
I would do it every time.
Also play 40 minutes in this game.
God, he didn't score every time.
Who was guarding him?
Go burn.
What is it?
How many defensive years and he's the only person that guarded it?
No, no, no.
They had any man guarding them.
They had Julius Brenner.
Wouldn't that make it harder to drive?
You got little guys on you?
That's why they said, get.
That's why they said get to the fucking point.
You can't go down to the rim and just throw the man your ball
because they're going to switch off.
There's a big man down there.
We could say switch.
It's called Inverd.
Hey, look, Inver here.
Inver here.
Hey, we're going to pack the paint when he catches on the frito line.
Okay.
Hey, there's defense for all of that.
Don't pack the paint if he catches on a frito line.
Guess what you're supposed to do.
Catching all.
You got a motherfucker shorter on you.
They pack the paint, turn the shoe right over him.
You can pack the paint all you want.
You can miss that shot too.
Cool.
You can miss that shot.
It's still an off night.
It's still an off night.
It's a hard on go in just because you at the frito line.
It's a higher percent of shot.
It's a higher percent of shot.
Can we do three?
How about this? Can we just talk the facts?
Yeah, the fact is it shoot out from two, then they do three.
And that too?
And did he go down there when Ant Man was guarding him to even see if they was going to
invert and switch?
No.
Or packed the page.
He just got the ball, trying to do his thing.
Like, that ain't working, dog.
It ain't working.
This is a top defensive team also.
This is not the Blazers.
This is a top defensive team, just like your top defensive team.
This is not Denver.
This is not Denver.
Where they got a bunch of bad defenders.
It's like, they are like, okay, this is what we're going to do.
We can box it in one and we're going to put a guard on them.
Julius keep fucking with him because he's going to settle.
He's going to give up.
If he can't get it the first time, he's just going to give up and sit around a three.
There's a game plan out there, and it happens.
Who did we say this similar, Porzingis?
We had the same conversation about Porzingis.
Not in this building, but same couch.
Same conversation about Porzingis, right?
he will defer, like he stopped at the, you push him out, he's going to shoot the jump shot.
But at least he'll get to the free throw line.
He'd get to the free throw line to catch a then turn, but we were saying we wanted him to get close on the phone.
That's what we were saying about Porzingis.
Now Porzingis, at least a turn and shoot.
That's the point.
We'd get to that spot, turn and shoot right over the small because he did the shit to get.
First game he came back, he came in and scored eight straight points.
And I was like, damn, okay, this is what you, I was wrong.
But that's all just get to the search.
Yeah.
Let's get to a search spot and shoot right over, man.
All right, so sufficient Wimby discussion.
Let's shift over to Ant Man, though, for a second, if you guys don't mind.
So he was expecting...
No, I'm just fucking...
He was expected to miss at least...
And Wimby's the Capricorn, so I'm Team Wimby now.
Sacrae Bruy.
He's the Capricorn.
January 4th.
All right.
Just so you know.
Send him a birthday gift.
So Anthony Edwards was expected to miss at least the first two games of this series
while dealing with the hyper-extended left knee and bone bruise he suffered on April 25th,
But with the wolves, already without I.O. Dasumu,
Ant came back earlier than expected to give his squad a boost.
So when you look at what Amman was capable of doing,
only played 25 minutes, came off the bench,
but 18 points had 11 of those in a five-minute stretch in the fourth quarter.
Y'all respect Anthony Edwards for playing through his knee injury
to be there for his team in game one,
or is this going to have long-term ramifications for the wolves in this series?
Extension bone bruise.
I mean, that's just the body itself, how fast it recovers, right?
It's no tears.
I mean, you got to respect it.
It's the playoffs, right?
I mean, no, it's expected because it's the playoffs.
You know, you want to go out there, give your team a chance to win.
I think pretending to come back in the middle of the week kind of helped him
because I don't know if the Spurs really game playing for him,
coming off the bench and then bringing our sport.
It is Anthony Edwards.
So, you know, once he comes in, we know.
who's getting the ball. Ain't nothing changing.
We know who's getting that ball.
So he came in,
did what he did.
You know, had 10 points,
you know, early in that game, and then the fourth quarter he took over.
Right? But we know who they're going to.
Seven points.
And then in the fourth quarter, he had 10.
10 points in the fourth quarter?
At 11.
11.
In five minutes.
So don't disrespect.
I'm not disarrated.
What I say?
Five for seven in the fourth.
I reversed it.
I reversed it.
They took over to fourth quarter.
That's all that matter.
That's all that matter.
You know what I mean?
He did.
Sacre blue.
He did what others couldn't.
It is a way of life.
But open up to the rest of the couch.
From what we've seen, obviously, you know, Tate,
I'm missing that game seven.
And B, obviously looking shaky now,
coming back after a four-game stretch from the appendix to me.
But will this have any long-term issues for the Timber?
was in the series, but in trying to come back a little too early playing through that bone
Bruce.
We only see, right?
He went out there, he had a few days off.
He felt better than he had in the previous days.
We know that he is a competitor.
He loves his guys.
He wants to go out and compete.
Yeah, no, it's just, what is your pain threshold at this point, right?
How much can you tolerate?
I'm pretty sure there are things going on during the game.
me so I'm grimace a few times, the land jump, certain movements is going to irritate it.
But if you can tolerate it, you guys need you, right?
For you to try to go out and do it, hey, here's what it is at this point.
Yeah, it's, yeah, he's an intricate part of what they're doing.
You learn a lot about how Finch is coaching.
The job that he's doing, managing those minutes is not easy.
So figuring that out, bring it out off the bench to start the game.
Yeah, I was wondering, yeah, it was, is that the smartest move?
Let him warm up and then go sit.
So that was my thought process.
Can he cool off?
And yeah, but he's young, man.
So durable, young and durable.
Things heal faster the younger you are.
So good medicine now.
Good medicine.
Good medicine.
Just rub a little Hennessy on it.
I'm talking about.
A little tussing.
A little tussing.
I'm talking about?
It's a little bruise.
Yeah, a little tussing.
So let's shift over at Spurs.
Just one last thing for we move on.
So Spurs had two timeouts,
but Mitch Johnson opted to let the final possession play out.
Smart play.
He was asked about not taking a timeout
on the Spurs' last position
had this response.
On the last play, we just got a rebound,
and it felt like they weren't organized,
and there was enough time for us to push the ball
and get a look.
We didn't push it right away.
So it got to be that death knock time
where you got to call a time out or not.
I thought Dylan did a good job pushing the ball,
kicked his head of Julian.
Julian had to fly by.
Got a three-pointer in rhythm.
I had no problem with the shot.
That was a great shot.
I hope he shoots it every time.
LA looks maximum hole, too,
on the crowd, very impressive.
But, Sean, I want to ask you,
do you think that was the right decision
to let that possession play out?
100%.
I mean, I was straight.
I just knew it was going to be a good shot.
based on how open he was and the speed and just getting them off balance.
That's exactly what you're supposed to do as a player.
Push the ball and as a coach, supposed to let it play out.
Unset defense.
You got an opportunity to even drive it to the lane, get a foul, and get to two.
You definitely would want two, but if you can send it home with three,
which I thought it was a good shot enough to do, it was nice.
But I think this particular series is making me love the game.
the game a lot more than I used to just simply because you got a competitor in Ant Man
that's playing through injury.
And I think that if you want to call him a competitor, then you got to look at the gauge
of all the other guys who are not doing the same type of things that he's doing as far as
fighting through injury.
The severity of the injury is important, of course, but if you can play, you can play.
And I think Ant Man is exhibiting that in the series.
So when you look at the spurs, being able to have an opportunity to win down the line, it makes
it good for the game. Like everything right now in the playoffs, we don't have like three game sevens.
So a lot of series of advanced further than ever had in the first. Man, I think.
I think it's like 24. Right now it's just, uh. Yeah, NBC. It's a good place. Game is in a good place right now.
You know, there's a lot of critique we can give, but as far as the Spurs being able to not get this one, I think it creates more drama and the conversation around all of it. And you got two stars that respect each other.
against each other, Ant Man and Wembe.
And I think that's going to drive the engagement up a lot more.
And going to be prepared to be more critical.
I think as the series goes and these rounds continue, I think the more critical we are,
not necessarily in real time, but just throughout the whole series,
how the game can progress based on what we think,
I think it's going to make it more entertaining, for sure.
Well, let's take a look at that last possession, just for your guys.
Viewing pleasure, if you don't mind.
been some good...
Randall misses the shot.
Wimby looks like he thinks the spurs are going to call timeout, then sprints up the court
once he realized they're not.
But you got Deeran Fox on that court, you got Victor Wimb and Yama on that court.
See, this is when the deferring shit comes into play, right?
You got a guard with the ball, right?
Dillon Harper got the rebound, right?
Well, I throw it to the 7-5 guy.
For him to throw it right back to you, like, no, this is your job to bring it up.
Right, that was wasted a little...
That's why he said he didn't push it right away.
What Mitch was saying he didn't push you right away, so now you're in that window,
do you call time out or not?
But no, I guess a good defensive team in Minnesota, you're only scored 102 up to that point.
Hey, why would you want?
I'm not going to get that set defense.
I'm saying?
I think it's the right play.
I think letting it play out the way it did.
Your leading three-point shooter had a great shot.
He's made more threes than anybody in Spurs history.
So I'm living with him shooting that ball, right?
If it was a catch and shoot situation, it was a lot better.
The rhythm of the dribble, I think.
It could have either win it away.
But great look, great decision not to call a timeout to go against that good of a set defense.
Yeah, so I think it was a right play, good shot.
You live with the result.
He didn't pass it to win me because he thought that it was going to bring it up.
It's a whimmy time.
But you're 7-5 guy with the game on the line.
You're a guard.
Experience too, though.
You can do that.
It's inexperienced.
It's inexperienced.
He's a rookie.
I like shit like that.
Like the inexperience of it is going to like shit like that is going to be.
Yeah, he's a rookie.
He threw it to the 75th guy.
Say it again?
Everything is inexperienced then.
For them?
For who?
If you know your team is inexperienced like that, call time out.
Like I said, they paused.
So he got a decision to make, right?
So he made the other decision.
The hesitation would them not pushing it right away.
Like he said, they paused.
He didn't push it right away.
So now I'm in the decision, do I make a type?
Do I call time or not?
So he made the decision not to.
But he paused because he gave it to win me because that's the start of the king.
That's what you're supposed to do.
No, as a rookie.
No, it ain't.
No it ain't.
Listen, he should have got.
Give it to 75.
You don't what?
So as a rookie, if I didn't throw it to you, what would you have done if I would have to take it?
Is he 7.5?
You drew it to me.
If you were to throw it to Brennan.
That's as far as the star.
If you were to through the ball of Brennan Hayward, small force bring it up.
If you were to throw the ball of Brennan Hayper, what do it did.
with it. Brandon ain't the star.
Dude, threw it back to you.
He's the five man.
But he ain't the star.
And Wimmy can dribble.
Let's stop back in like.
Be the same drive past everybody.
And he has brought it up
and he has brought it up
and shot the game winner before.
So if Maxie had the ball and then
NB was there, would it be smart to pass
back to him B or Maxie take off and go?
Hold on. Guess what the facts are though?
Yo, guess what the facts are?
He threw him the ball and guess what Mee did with it.
It was NB.
Yeah.
Yo, fuck.
The facts are, guess what?
He threw it to William and guessed what Wimby did with it.
Go it right back to him.
Do it right back to him.
That's way messed up at this.
All time out.
No, what he's saying is he should have just
off the door.
You're the guard.
I got to give it to my star play.
You're the guard.
You know, man, can't stop.
Winby come down and do what, shoot a three for gas.
He does.
He does.
He's got a better shot.
Guess what they got to take the ball?
Yeah, two time out of that.
They just got a better shot.
Guess what they got to take the ball out of that?
Once they don't.
He's been the right thing.
Guess what they got to take the ball out of?
If they don't get the advance it.
On the side right there.
They got to take it out where he dribbled it at and passed the Wimby at in front of their bench.
If he gave it off the other, can he burn the second one if he don't get it in?
He can't handle the ball.
He did a whole time with tomorrow.
Do you know, if they were giving the game God's in the beginning of the season.
He'd be acting like he can't dribble down.
If he would call the time out, right?
His ass couldn't dribble in that game.
You just told him the gym.
That's all he wasn't.
He was doing.
His ass couldn't trouble that game.
You told him to stand still and post up.
You know what?
That was the smartest shit his ass ever did.
Ever?
Did you see this fourth, did you see his office in the fourth quarter?
The last thing he wanted to do was get the ball and sit there and try to come down there
because he was going to shoot a three.
He was going to shoot a three.
So he would have been 0 for nine.
So he gave it there.
You dribble, he probably wouldn't even got.
He probably wouldn't even got.
I was just about to say that.
I was just about to say that.
They were going to pressure him.
He was tired already.
He was trying.
Can we run it back again?
One more time, please.
Can we run it back again?
Run it back.
Why I asked Gil this question.
Gil with the rules.
Here we go.
Look, look, look.
He dribbles it, right?
Time out.
He didn't dribbled it.
Fuck right there.
Foss calling for the ball.
But he didn't throw it to him.
He threw it to the guy and he threw it back to him.
Because the other guy was over.
One more time out.
One more time, right?
But he didn't dribbled it, so it doesn't matter.
He's still advancing.
He'd be advancing, yeah.
But if he would have dribbled it,
they got to take it out right there.
One more.
Could he burn one more after if he don't get it in?
He can burn it up, but he got a timeout.
Time out.
All right, hey, look, all right, you're open.
Time out.
Oh, they didn't call that.
Listen, give it to Fox for one.
One, there's nothing wrong with this.
No, no.
They've just came back.
They got a steel.
They got an easy bucket.
The momentum is on their side.
Yes.
So because the momentum is on their side, they got another stop.
You call a timeout and let that team.
set their defense up with the fucking offense y'all been having all day we don't know what play you was going to call
you would have called something dumb so there i will let you do that because at the end of the day
there was a great shot up from right here to whimmy in the post like y'all said turn and shoot
turn and shoot when did he do it i'll just turn and shoot you can you play i got my
bandit he did it right now he's 7 411 that what what what what
What other play can I guess?
Let's get it back.
Let's get it back.
And we're having to go on the player that you asked him to run.
Go turn and let him shoot.
Then he ain't did that shit.
Rewing it back.
I don't know.
Watch y'all.
You don't want him to dribble down.
Hold on.
We're talking about the shot.
Yes.
I have my best shooter on the court who's having a great game right now.
Mm-hmm.
Now play it, play it.
And pause it.
Oh, my God.
No, no.
After he gets, after he pump fakes.
Oh, love.
Right there.
Stop.
you telling me, I'm sorry.
That's a good shot.
That's the best shot you can get, you can have, you will want.
I'm won that.
Yeah, of course you want that.
Hell yeah, you want to shoot that.
I don't know you don't.
He with us.
Who?
Who?
That's what I'm saying.
Who led the team in three-point shooting?
You saying, Champaignia's with this year.
Julian Champany.
Yes.
And he's like 50, who is 7.4.11 at that moment of time?
Step back.
I don't get to fuck.
What do you do?
At this point, at this point in the playoff a chance to win at home, anybody on that
court that has this wide open of a shot,
I'm cool with it.
There was nothing that I can draw up.
You said everybody's shooting.
You said it's good for that.
There's nothing that I could draw up
in the, after a timeout,
after my superstar having a bad game,
I don't want to put the ball in his hands.
He had it.
He had it.
He's a superstar. He's an MVP.
Hey, bro, shut up.
He has the ball.
I give it to my store.
That's what he did.
I don't want my star.
Stard dribbling in a fucking full court, dog?
He has the dog.
What fuck are you talking about?
Why do they let him dribble a full court?
He does it all the time.
He has it all the time.
That's what he does when he catches it.
Then why did he do it?
All the time?
100% of the time.
So the guy gave him the rebound.
Hey, Harper got the rebound and gave it to Wemby.
And he gave him to him.
So Wendy could go.
And guess what he did with?
Winby looked at Fox because he won't Fox to have it.
Yeah.
Fox has somebody in front of him.
So he looked to the other side say you go.
Yes.
Nobody's in front of him.
of you.
So why did he's
because no one's in front of you?
So somebody was in front of Wimby?
Yes.
One of my car,
please.
What's the name was right there
standing in front?
Who?
Who?
Who?
Randall?
Go back.
Yeah, go back.
Randall was it.
Go back.
Damn Randolph.
Look at that wide open show.
Y'all, silly as hell.
There's no timeout play y'all was going to draw.
Is he.
Was it?
Was it?
No.
Wait.
Where?
Where?
Where?
Where?
Actually, nobody.
Where?
Where?
Nobody.
That's good.
So what?
Six seconds.
Okay.
Six seconds.
So why did he dribbled at this dog?
Right there.
Right there.
Right there.
Go back.
Whoa.
Go back.
Go back.
Go to fuck back.
Go to, rewind this shit.
Ain't nobody.
I thought he said Fox had somebody on it.
He did.
Stop.
He did.
Right there.
Right there.
Go.
Go.
Go.
Go.
Please.
Just slow.
Number one running back.
Shannon running back.
When we got the ball.
That's a steel.
Stop it.
Why would he throw Fox the ball right here?
Keep going.
Keep going.
Who's my point dog?
Why would he throw Fox the ball out there?
It's the same amount of space.
Why would he throws Fox the ball?
He would not throw Fox.
He's looking back at him if we can go on the left.
What's a steel?
Yes. Sandin is looking right at him.
Waiting for you to throw the ball.
Moving. That nigga play cornerback?
Moving back.
Yes, he played cornerback.
That nigga's actually that's right.
He's playing quarterback in a nigger, please.
He's moving back.
He's moving back.
He's running this way.
Even if he tried to attempt to make that steel and stopped,
Fox would have been the, that's risky.
That would have been the, that's risky.
But I'm wondering why Fox didn't come back and get the ball.
Oh, yeah.
Because Harper was already ahead.
You're the fastest person on the court and you were going to get to the ramp.
Back to my question, why didn't your guy, you said why didn't he dribble the bitch up?
He's the star.
No.
He don't have these.
The star had the ball.
He don't have these.
The star had the ball.
Like y'all said.
I want to get the ball to my star.
And they told us last week, DeFox is a superstar.
Yeah.
Cojone.
Why he didn't go get it.
You got to have Cojone's in the playoffs.
Yeah, this ain't good to mind.
It's a big man game.
Huh?
It's a big boy game, but your big boy draws on.
Julius Randall's a dumb-ass shot.
We don't care about it.
Now you're going to blame somebody else for women not putting the ball up.
No, listen.
Now you're going to blame somebody.
When Edman and shoot him, he's on the other team, he ain't got nothing.
He's going to blame.
He has the ball.
I know, Blatt.
He didn't even dribble.
Look, nobody.
What do he need to dribble for?
The, look, why are you?
I'm scared now.
Yo.
I thought it was a start.
Go drivel up the ball.
Look how much space he would have had in the floor.
He still ain't in the picture yet.
Y'all said some people
gonna be trying to steal the ball from him.
Y'all just said it.
He brought it up.
They need to meet all up on him, but still in the ball.
And nobody was there.
That's why he threw the ball up.
Yeah.
Still great shot six seconds.
The best shot you're gonna get.
That's the best shot.
Anyone should want in the playoffs to win the game.
You couldn't have drew it up any better.
How many game winners?
Have you ever seen this wide open?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Huh?
Okay.
It was a good try.
Yeah.
Listen, if A.
Damon Thompson had that shot.
As a coach, I'll be fine with it.
If.
You know how stupid you got to be
to go to timeout and set your defense
and then give up this wide open of a shot
as a defense.
You don't get these shots, man.
Who shot the word?
You don't get these shots.
You don't get open shots to the best play.
Your best shooter.
Your best shooter?
Your best shooter.
100% you run it back
every single time.
They'll take the
time.
They'll take that look every time.
On tape.
They'll take that look
every single,
100 out of 100 times.
They'll take that look
with him shooting it.
Absolutely.
On film.
Champany, my best three-point shooter?
What?
My best?
Absolutely.
This ain't my worst bite.
Best shooter.
In that situation all the time.
But he was.
None of them are.
As far as 995,
made threes, this is
100.
50.
They should be comfortable in that situation.
195 3s on the season.
Most Spurs is, I'm living with him to shoot.
Here's something more comfortable.
Let's keep this thing moving.
But what's our player on the Spurs have been in that situation?
Most the Clutch player of the year.
Cool.
Clutch player of the year.
Don't they have one of those?
Deerrin Fox 2022.
I said that.
I said, why didn't Deeran Fox at the ball?
Just one game, but the World's House the only game won.
A lot more serious.
Young stuff.
Left to be played.
Proze.
Let's keep this thing moving.
Today's podcast.
Hey, I don't want you take it.
I don't want to you take it.
Hey.
That same young shit
was the best time they were going to get.
I know, right?
That's so weird.
Like the young
100 times.
100.
But that's the best shot.
I don't understand.
The shot is this.
Get the ball to the star.
Yeah, the star had the bitch
and the start passing to the roof.
And they still got the best shot.
They were going to get.
Because the rookie made the right decision,
not the star.
The rookie made the right play,
The star gave the ball to the real
The star had it. He gave it back
to him. Who made the right decision? No, but Nick
wants you to draw something up and go the ball to the star.
Call the timeout, throw the ball to the ball.
Winby made the right decision.
They don't want to be ball.
He's a star.
That's not what he said.
That's not what he said at all.
He said that we're not going to call the time out on the rebound.
You might as well let Wemby push it up.
Who said?
But that's what Nick was saying from the beginning.
Yeah, that was wrong.
Yeah, that was wrong.
Give it to your star.
Give it to him.
He had it.
He had it.
And he threw it back.
So Wimby made the right play.
I don't want it.
I'm not ready for it.
I'm having a bad game.
They got a great shot.
I don't understand how that's bad on Wemby.
No one said that's bad on Wemby.
You just said he didn't want it.
He didn't.
You passed it.
Y'all said the star of players should have the ball.
He had the ball.
And he passed it away.
He made the right play.
Did he not?
Okay, cool.
They said that about Brown all the time, right?
Huh?
Ron has the ball and when he passed over the shooters
and he said he made the right play.
If they make that shot,
Wimby did a great play.
Either way, that was a great play by Wemby.
I'm sorry, that's a great play.
Bring it up and make the pass.
That was a great play.
That was a great pass though, right?
Yeah.
Cool.
Let's keep this thing moving.

You're out of New Aege and Fountain.

The child got going on over there in Wills, man.
None of your business.
I'm glad
to date.
Hey, listen, I'm actually
glad it in.
Y'all golf and we
off and we go off and two.
T-up.
Let's shift the Easter
conference.
All right.
All right.
Easter conference.
Sixers did the unthinkable
in their first round series
win over the Celtics coming back
from a 3-1 deficit
to win three straight games
including a thriller in game seven
in the garden.
Joel and Bean and Tyree
and Maxie became the first duo
to each have 30 points,
10 rebounds, and five assists in a game
in NBA history.
So before this playoffs, the Sixers were 0 and 18 in franchise history when trailing 3-1
in a series.
Hadn't won a playoff series against the Celtics since 1982.
Damn.
Since 1982, Gil.
A great brand and a great year.
Meanwhile, the Knicks bounced back from a 2-1 deficit to the Hawks with three straight
wins, including a 51-point blowout in Game 6 in Atlanta that was the largest win in
franchise playoff history.
Nick's 47-point lead at halftime was also an NBA record.
So, Philly had a quick turnaround after their game seven win.
and New York took advantage to put belt to ass in the series opener.
So with Jalen Brunson coming through with another legendary performance to propel his team to the win.
Let's take a look at the highlight, son.
So Bresden got to work early and often, dropping 14 points in the first quarter as a Knicks took an eight-point lead after the first frame.
Look at it.
Oh, oh, there it go.
Some more Jailen Brunson.
For your viewing pleasure.
There it go.
Oh, look at that.
You got OG doing it too.
So Knicks were up 10 in the second quarter
before going on an 8-0 run
to take control of the game.
Brunson continued cooking in the second frame scoring
27 of his game high 35 points
in the first half. He had 11 straight points
to cap off the second quarter as his squad,
took a 23-point lead into the half.
OG Ananobe added 18 points on 7 of 8 shooting.
Kat and Mikhail Bridges both had 17 points
on a combined 14 of 21 shooting.
Sixers' offense left much to be desired.
Paul George led Philly with a team high 17 points.
But Joelle and Beat and Tyrese maxi combined for just 27 points on 6 for 20.
Shooting and B struggled defensively as well as the Knicks put him in pick and rolls.
Or damn near every possession.
Yeah.
Knicks were plus 13 and fast break points, plus 26 in points in the paint.
New York led by as much as 40 in the game, went on to get the 39-point win.
while shooting a franchise record
63% from the field,
51% from 3.
Nix are the first team in NBA history
to win three straight playoff games
by at least 25 points.
Also, the first
team to lead
three straight playoff games
by at least 30 points
in the play-by-play area.
So Jalen Brunton, Tyrese,
had this reaction to game one
of this series.
Do you feel you guys are
hitting a peak right here?
I hope not.
Honestly, you got to take this game with a grand assault and it's kind of move forward.
And I don't think we're going to see that team.
They'll be so on game one and game two.
They'll be ready to go.
It doesn't matter.
Like, if we lose about 7 or 70, there's really matter.
They won one game and we lost one game.
Like he said, we'll go make some adjustments and we'll be ready for game too.
Like, they're not going on game one doesn't carry over the game two.
And we'll be ready to play.
So good, we will start with you on the eastern side of the 10th.
What are the biggest takeaways from the next game one win over the sixers?
39 point low out.
Three straight playoff wins by 25 plus points.
I mean, he's right about, you know, losing by 5 or losing by 55, right?
It's the loss on paper.
That soul was hurt right here.
And exactly what New York did is.
exactly the game plan.
And B,
and it's,
man,
he's such a great player,
you know,
but just been injured so much
that he hasn't,
he hasn't gotten himself in shape
to really play in the playoffs.
And it showed in the last series,
in the fourth quarter,
he always gasses out.
That used to be the old saying about him.
In the fourth quarter,
he's going to gas out.
He's going to take a bunch of,
just random shots.
he did it in the Boston series
and he didn't have to play defense against anybody.
So the fact that his knee was bothering him then
and he had a bunch of new scares in that series
while he didn't really have to guard nobody in that series
this series is going to test him
because he has to play defense
so he has to play offense and defense
and at any moment
he's going to be done for the series.
You know, because every fall, you got to worry about his knee, every bump,
every tweak move, right?
And Kat is going to push him to the limits, right?
He's not, he's not in physical peak.
He missed the majority of the season.
He missed the beginning of the playoff.
Like, he's not in physical condition to keep up with this group.
They're going to run him through picking rolls.
They're going to do what they, with Tony Parker and Steve Nash's doing it.
They just bop, all right, you're coming off injury,
we're going to keep.
We're just going to extend this pick and roll
until you just get tires.
So in the fourth quarter, you don't have anything, right?
So it's sad because three years ago,
you're arguing who was the best player on the planet.
And the fact that it's Yokic right now,
and he's sitting back like, oh, man, only if.
And that's how good he is, that.
on half a leg he's still an MVP candidate
but you know he didn't get enough
prep time to really push his body to the limit
to be able to to keep up with this
they're going to just run them to death
this 5th game in 9 days
yeah it's so if it
you gotta yeah there's nothing to take away
from the game like X isn't old basketball wise
it was a blowout they lost about 40 right
my thing was it was such a quick turnaround
from Saturday to Monday
on a high too
on a high right
I'm sitting Joel game
if I'm them
two weeks off of appendectomy
like he still ain't like
that man had surgery
right
he was struggling with it in the Boston series
the knee thing he got hyper
extended slightly a few times dude rolled into him
twice let's give him an
Extra two days, right?
Saturday's game.
Give him Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.
We play Wednesday.
That goes a long way for his preparation.
It's my thought process when he was playing.
Especially if you can try and bust it like this.
If they had a gross to ball,
said we're going to lose by the third night.
Of course they sit him, but you don't.
I think you rest him because of what he's coming off of game one.
There's no need to have him out there.
Everybody else, let's see what we can do.
If it goes his way, goes his way.
But we've played enough basketball without him.
Without them.
And we're a better defensive team with Bona, drumming somewhat.
But.
Big bot, yeah.
And to say that someone has a foot speed, to say that Carl Anthony Towns has a foot speed advantage against someone.
That's embarrassing.
That's embarrassing, right?
Nah.
A man worth 21s, man.
I'm saying he's fat, but I'm saying.
Who's fast?
He has a foot speed advantage.
The point I'm making is he has a foot speed advantage against Joel because Joel has hampered, right?
Knee and all of it.
To that point.
You said who is the fastest big?
Right, he's one of them.
All right.
Yeah.
Yes.
Jokes, not fast, motherfucker.
He flew by and beat on the one.
Joker and B.
The man hampered, right?
The man hampered, I would have said in game one.
Get him ready for game two if that was me, but it's not,
you put him in that situation.
He didn't look comfortable.
He didn't look good.
He didn't play well.
The team didn't play well.
How to come off of, if it's me, I'm protecting one.
I'm giving him.
giving us one more day to get him ready for game two.
They didn't.
And we see how, yeah.
It costs him.
It's about to cost him to see.
Yeah, like I said, and the recovery time, the turnaround time is too quick now, right?
So every other day, the turnaround time is too quick.
Yeah.
And the NBA, because it's so close, you're going to play, because you don't have a flight
to catch.
Yeah, you can bus.
Yeah, you don't have a flight to catch.
You're not driving.
Take the train.
Yeah.
You're not driving to.
Philly from New York and vice versa, right?
You're not doing that.
So the turnaround time is quick
between y'all games, man.
I just think it's...
But it's coming off the surge to apodeckomy
and all that stuff, I think it was a lot.
He could have used extra day of rest.
But that's me.
And they didn't.
They lost about 40.
Go back to the drawing board.
Get ready for game too.
Do do, do, do.
45, 47.
Let's move over to you.
Mr. Biggest takeaways.
For next blow, I went over the Sixers
in game one in their second round series.
I mean, they're fatigue.
They're still on the high from winning in Boston.
Maxie came out.
He had one shot in the first quarter.
That's not like him.
So I knew it was over by then.
And McKell Bridges, he was playing amazing for them.
His energy was amazing.
And I think New York, they just fill it.
And, I mean, they've been winning by, what, 30-some points the last four games.
I mean, so right now as a team, they're just on a high.
I think Boston getting Boston out of there,
I think they can sense it.
They can feel it a little bit.
And now with the turnaround time being so quick, I don't know if NB is going to be able to hold up and they're going to be able to have that same energy.
I mean, they're going to be able to have the energy with Maxie and, you know, BJ for sure.
But I just think it's the next time right now.
And just the energy and everything around the city and everything.
A very energetic city.
Yeah, you got to play Bono a little more, man.
Bono Islands?
Bona, number third.
Bono.
The damn Bono, UCLA?
Yeah, you got to play him a little more.
Yeah, you got to play him a little more.
He's young, energetic energy.
He's going to file, but...
I think the next...
What do you need to do?
I think game playing is better, though.
Like, Boston, I think Philly beat Boston
because they're one-dimensional.
Like I said, they stick to the game plan too much,
quick threes.
You didn't make Juell move that much.
But beside that, Juel been dominant.
And the way he's been playing,
I would have played them out there.
But New York, he says, yeah, cars after New Towns.
I don't know how y'all say he's slow.
He's an agile guy.
He might be goofy, but he could move.
Might do all this, but he could move.
And Boston didn't have that.
Nick Fookish had set out there at the corner three, shooting that same shot every time.
You got a guy in the picking road that you got to worry about shooting and going to the hole.
And B, got to move too much.
But them guys play better defense than that.
them in Boston Heart.
You got to give them credit.
Maxie killed Derek White, each game.
Killed Derek White.
Everybody they put in front of them.
Y'all give New York their credit.
They played great deep.
They got guys to throw at every player out there
from one through, two through five.
I'm not going to put everything,
but Bronson tries, but like Paul couldn't get them shots.
He was getting on Hauser.
Kelly Ubrey, you know, they play great, they play great defense.
New Yorkers, I think they're the team to beat to get to the finals.
They think they're going to get to the finals.
Nick's the team to beat in the Eastern Conference.
Okay, the East runs through New York.
Shot to see you shaking your head.
Biggest takeaway from the Knicks, game one win over the Sixers.
I would say, scouting report.
for everybody who doesn't know what that is.
Going into this series, you look at us being having a week off in the New York Knicks
and then playing against a team that's coming in off of battle in the game seven.
First thing we do is you punch you in your face and we're at home.
So we got energy, we got momentum, we got rest, punch them in the face.
Brunson did that first quarter, punch you in the face.
Hard to rebound from that because, you know, you got to figure out.
out how you won it. This is first series is always, well the first series in the second round
is always the first game is fill out game. Like what are they doing? How are we going to respond
to what they're doing? They might steal it. We might win it. Regardless of what happens is we get
to come back and recoup and re-stratage for them. And I think for Philly, only playing six
guys over 20 minutes, you got to do better because you're going to get punched in the face
And if you're not going to have a rebound in the second half from that punch,
then you're going to be giving out every game in the first half.
So when you look at how M.B. played and B. played.
And you're going. You're cooking.
But boy, you're cooking. You're cooking.
But you were saying a lot of we.
You were saying we as in the – I thought that you stopped being –
The thumb, I thought the thumb gate.
I thought when he stuck his thumb in there,
he was off them.
I thought he was off them.
I thought this was a Philly.
Yeah.
Remember?
That's when he was like,
I would fuck with the Nixon.
You publicly said he was not fucking with the Knicks no more.
And you was talking about, I mean, I don't know if you jumped back on him,
but I thought he was off the Nixon.
I'm hearing the Wii thing, so I was,
did he get back on the?
Hmm.
Because this is the first time I'm here, the Dwey.
I thought he was Philly.
I thought it was like, like, like, Joel Embed and, you know, they're contenders and they're going to win.
I thought you didn't want to argue anymore.
No, I'm just, I was confused.
You took two weeks off, not to argue.
No, I was just.
But now here you are, interrupting me.
While I'm in the middle of my shit.
I know, but you was cooking.
You missed all this time.
You missed all the context behind my cooking.
See, that's like not putting seasoning on the food.
Yeah, yeah.
You got to come to the grill prepared, brother.
No, no, no, no, no.
You're not prepared.
You're not prepared.
Now you're cooking meat.
Yeah, so you're back and you ain't ready.
So are you cooking meat or you cooking meat?
You ain't ready.
Oh, I'm just...
You're not ready.
Okay, I was just confused.
Yeah, it's in the context of conversation
when you're actually talking about one side.
I can say we and not mean me.
I can speak four to 76es and say we and not mean me
because I'm giving context as I'm breaking down the scatter report
if I'm New York or if I'm Philly.
So if I'm New York, I'm saying we.
but maybe y'all get it maybe y'all don't i don't know i don't yeah i didn't hear him say we
let me know if it's obvious or not i don't know but like i was saying
philly
like yeah like maxy said it's gonna be the next next game we're not worried about what just happened
we need to bounce back we need to come in re-stratitize and figure out what we did wrong
and make the make the adjustments and b not going to have a bad game every single game
and i don't think he had a bad game based on the fact that they got punched in the mouth early
and to Nick's point as far as M.B.
Having the guard cat, that's a real rivalry.
And that robbery go back to when he was in,
if cat was in Minnesota.
So this is something that cats up for.
Cats up for this.
And regardless of if M.B.'s hurt or not,
he wasn't giving that same energy to Anthony Edwards,
who was injured and just came back.
So for NB.,
there ain't no excuse for him either.
So he's going to go in there.
He's going to be a competitor just like Anthony Edwards is.
Anthony Edwards came out to compete
Joel and B. I don't see him
see why he would want to sit down
this being his rival
and this is an important series for them.
They're not supposed to be here without
him, so shit, it's one of them things.
Did Anthony Edwards have surgery?
Yeah.
But in B did, right?
Appendectomy.
Okay, one has a bruised bone
and a hyper-extended knee.
And a hyper-extended.
One needs
One knees
Remember that the Mr. Potato?
Which one was the
Like he needs pliers
To, oh, operations
Yeah, yeah, he needs operation.
A great game
Because the knee is just not the knee anymore.
There's nothing, there's nothing
We've been talking about it every year
And every year
Dude, the knee is the knee
You can't reverse
Adphibated
What did?
Yeah, 34.
Did you see him on the sideline?
He was on a side line?
Well, who is he playing?
He put a team out?
Which doesn't matter.
That shit.
He didn't hurt.
He's laying on the floor doing this shit stretching.
You see him walk back on the floor?
But he had surgery, right?
He's walking back on the floor.
Which means that he's tough enough to keep playing.
I get that part.
He's coming back.
Cool.
He's playing against a dude who actually plays basketball too.
Who's an All-Star 2?
Who's an all-N-B-A player?
Boston put three players nobody knew.
Not even the Boston fans.
The motherfuck says it just came in,
said it started.
Everybody's looking around.
So that's who he got to play against.
Who's the center over there?
Bukovitch, Nick Bukovic.
Huh?
What are the thing?
Who?
He's the All-Star team.
Who?
Kada.
Kada.
They play three, five, man.
Yeah.
So he's not playing against, like, he's playing against a four man at five.
Who's playing on a perimeter, who's going to pump a, he's on drive.
He's going to, he's going to, this ain't a rivalry in a sense of both are at the same level of eliteness.
One person.
knee is prohibiting him to
sustain his greatness.
You know, out of seven games,
Embed going to show up.
He's going to dominate two and a half.
But it's going to be two to...
Town can move?
Because y'all can move.
No, I said foot speed.
Nobody said you could move.
Foot speed.
That's 50 feet.
You can move.
Foot speed.
No, it doesn't...
He has a foot speed advantage
on Joel and B right now, yes.
The Joel and B can't move.
One physically can't do what he wants to do.
Lateral.
Moving or not.
He can't do.
Laterally.
defensive, he can't physically.
So, calling him to tell him, when I get into that.
When I came back, I could move, right?
I was moving up and down.
But the other person don't have foot speed.
But he don't have no injury.
He's not injured.
But he's still slow.
He's not injured.
So if you're still slow, then it's not.
Injured.
But I move.
Injured, that means if I do this, this might hurt, so I'm not going to do that.
I'm not myself.
It's very different.
One is being slow.
That's his body type.
One is slow because the tire blown out
It's blown
Ferrari goes fast, right?
It ain't not one day
You put a spare tire on the Ferrari
It still go fast
What's going to happen to it?
Nick, the point that you're making it is good
Nick, Nick, how long car after the tone
I'm feeling simplified for you
I know, finish simplify for you Nick
Finish it's what you need
Right? How long Carl Lentown's been in the league?
10 plus right?
During his tenure as an NBA player,
not one time have our reference
Carl Anthony Towns has been fast.
Not once.
Not once.
Not once have our reference
Carl Anthony Towns being fast.
In this situation,
he has a foot speed advantage
because Joelle is hampered
and he can't move side to side.
He would have that.
Carl Anthony Town's foot size
has been the fucking side.
same since he came in the league, which are like 21 to 21, 22, some shit.
Like you got some big ass feet.
Yeah, yeah.
It's the point I'm making.
Size 20 can be, yes.
Size 20, he was 20s.
He was still having a foot speed in there.
Therefore, he has a foot speed in there.
Regardless if he was hurt or not,
Carl Lentheny Towns is a faster big man than Joel Embed and half of the rest of the
Like I said, I ain't never reference call after the Towns.
If he wasn't hurt, if it wasn't hurt.
Hey, faster than Joel in.
than Joelle and Bede is not a fucking hard task to do.
So regardless if he could be hurt or not, it don't matter.
He'd be able to move better.
He'd better move latterly better if he wasn't hurt.
He still would be faster than him.
Okay.
And?
Wait, wait.
That would be the difference.
How did your knees go right now?
If he wasn't hurt, he would be able to move better side to side.
It's the point motherfucker trying to make.
Carl Anthony Town speed is what it is.
It ain't going to change.
God damn.
He's going to be as fast as he going to be.
So it's still going to be an advantage.
Who gives a...
Fuck. No. The point I'm making is
Joel won't be able to move side to side.
We have to give a fuck about the point
you're making. No, I don't. No. We have to care
about what you. No, I don't get a fuck about the point. No, I'm talking
on your mate. No, the point. You're making the point that he's fast.
No, the point that I'm not. I'm like, he's going to be fast
regardless of you heard or not. The point that I'm making, nigga, if you shut the
fuck up for a second, the point that I'm making is
Joel still wouldn't be able to move side side because he's fucking hurt.
It ain't got nothing to do a Carl Anthony Towns, nigga.
Like, shut the fuck up for a second. It seems like y'all.
It just on a fucking argument. It just seems
But if he's not, if Joel and Beat is healthy, Carl Anthony Towns is still faster than him.
That's the point I was making.
That's the point you want to make it.
The point I'm making is by Joel.
You can keep talking about Carl Nett Town fast all the fuck you want.
That ain't the point I'm making.
That ain't the fucking point I'm making it.
So you ain't going to make it like, God damn.
It's like you're just fucking listening.
Why don't get all right with a nigga?
No, what I'm saying is you.
God, damn.
What I'm saying is.
Do you personally want to argue with a nigg?
Do you personally want to argue with a nigg?
Y'all just want to argue with a nigger for nothing.
What's the point of all that?
I just want to argue with a nigga for nothing.
No, because you argue for, let me ask for it.
Hold on.
Let me ask you a question.
The grown man on this couch talking crazy.
Let me ask you a question.
Shut the fuck up.
Let me ask you guys do this.
Like, what the fuck is going on?
Can I ask you a simple question?
I just want to ask you a simple question.
No.
I don't want to do it.
How does your knees feel?
Amazing.
Amazing, right?
Amazing.
When you first got surgery and it was swore,
and it was swollen.
Amazing.
Could I go by you?
Can anybody go by you then, easier or now?
Amazing.
No, just answer to you.
See, this is the problem.
When we present something that's real, you don't want to talk about.
How can it be real one time?
Your knee, your knee, what I'm saying is, your knees today was better than your knees
when they were injured.
So how you had to play defense back fucking two, three months ago at the, at every,
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, right?
You're not going to push off the same.
You're not going to do what you do.
Today, they're fine.
You're going to go out there and do you.
In B's knees or where you were when you got out of surgery.
So he can't do what he wants to do.
So that means if somebody drives, he's not going to go push off like he can.
He's going to do the little fake limb and then try to do that.
So he don't have to be faster quick.
But that first, he's seven foot.
You do a pull.
I can launch at that
and stop that. He can't remember this
was a defensive guy too.
Right? Everybody's
faster than him besides Jokic, but
he stayed in front of everybody when he
was healthy. He can't
push off the way he wants
defensively. So he can't
stop the ball. They're going to keep, they're running
picking rolls for a reason with him
because they know he can't move side to side
because the knee is just not right.
Is them be the reason they lost?
No. No.
Fatigue.
It's a team sport.
Fatigue.
It's a team sport.
Team sport.
Okay.
We're spending a lot on Joel right now.
No, I'm just saying what it looks like when you're watching a game and what the game
plan is going to be.
We're just going to keep working at you.
Yeah, we would have been done talking about if you niggas and we're trying to fucking
constantly argue with a nigga.
Like, God damn, we would have been talking about it.
Hey, man, relax.
God damn.
This is fuck.
You know what?
I'm going to whip your ass after this show.
Damn.
I feel like it
And being part of the reason
But shot
You don't think it was
What was the reason
Sixers lost this now?
What was the reason they had lost?
They got punched in the mouth
from the first quarter
Jaylen Brunson came out to
fucking play
Mikel Bryges came out to play
They were swarming
Great defense
Team defense
They were swarming
They were rebounding
Mitchell Robinson
came out to play
Everybody came
And it was in the garden
I mean
Doesn't all these things
factor in at some point other than
Joel and Bede's knee?
He can't do everything, but damn
I mean, he had his 14 points.
He didn't get the rebound like he was supposed to
but I think
Why is that? Because all going through the net a lot.
Because the ball's going through the net a lot.
63% from the field.
All right.
Shackley has.
Killing the boss.
Oh yeah, Maxey didn't show up at all.
We didn't even mention in his name.
It's more Joe L.D.
I didn't know Maxie.
He's talking about him.
Defensive effort on Massey.
I'm just saying.
Maxi had one shot.
It looks like that thing.
Three for nine from the field, four turnovers for Tyrese Maxie in that game.
McKell Bridges found his offense.
The game was benched.
I think multiple times.
I do agree, though, that they should have rest in B, though.
Yeah, game one.
I'm wrong with him, like, resting.
Like, even though Tyrese Maxis is who he is, fatigue and all that, letdown.
That shit's still real for anybody.
I don't care who it is.
They play in that environment.
They're going to play faster.
They're going to play.
Like, without Joel and B., it's more guard play that matches up with the New York.
team.
But New York has better.
But the NICs have better for revenue
defendants than them.
Needed him be for every game
against Boston.
Yeah.
Game two.
And that's the problem.
Boston is.
They're going to sell out of the years.
Like Boston,
Boston just, I mean,
they just, you know, I've always said
if you, you're shooting
a hundred and,
150 points worth of threes to
score 100, 105,
and two, you lost.
You can't.
Under 30% in their loss.
I'm just saying, like, you know,
that was the two years ago,
but they won a championship
because they was making it.
This time they didn't make this series they didn't make it right I don't know if they had one of those
Those 25 threes in all that series on their wins they're around 40% in their losses
Yeah, when they lose they lose all you have to do is just stick around
Yeah, it was but I got New York going to the chip do you guys anybody on the scout feel like the six or seven
opportunity to turn this around they were down three one in the previous series to the Celtics
I said I agree with you nah yeah, I've been gone too long
I think the nix learned that last 30
point. I think the Knicks learning less every other day until game seven if it reaches there.
Game seven? So the series is every other day. So the six of the game every other day since.
This series ain't going to seven. That is not going to do Joel any service.
This is literally, I believe, game four of the previous series. They might get one.
Listen, this is not going to do that. I mean, should they've been by an average of 30-some.
The Knicksman average. I mean, Joel, I mean, he didn't play that many minutes.
So he should. He still went out there and played, though. I mean, he still, he still, he still, he still.
running around.
There smiles on that bitch.
I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, because I want to ask, I want to ask him a serious question.
Do you wish you, we know the results now, do you wish you to just set him out a whole year
and let his body recover and let the knee recover?
What we said?
That's what we said in the beginning.
Yeah, but even in the Celtic series, the freak, I think Maxie lands into it, there's stuff
that it seems like him, just bad luck.
Yeah, and that's, but I'm, he can't get out of the way.
way.
Listen, it happens
throughout the game, yes.
But in his particular case,
he can't move fast enough to get out of the way,
man. He can see it coming.
See that motherfucker about to roll into him
and his best bett's trying to do this shit.
Like, it's just what it is right now.
His lateral movement is shot.
And to Gil's point, Boston, yeah,
he ain't got to guard nobody.
This series, they're going to make, listen,
Boxing out, man
If he got to go against Mitchell Robinson
To box him out, that's hell, though, on them legs
Carl Anthony Town still is
Who he is, man, offensively still
Is aggressive. He caught the ball on the
Wing in the first quarter and went right by the job. I was like, oh Lord
Went left and dunk that bitch
I was like, oh shit
This is going to be long, yeah, it's going to be a long
game here
But
it's one game
But
What you're going to do different?
A lot
What you're going to do different, Philly?
A whole lot.
So you were...
What's going to do different?
I'm going to just take out.
You put the cordisone.
I mean, there's just something.
I don't know if he can even take it.
It's over now.
It's just the knee, man.
You can't keep it jack.
You know, I know.
You've been there.
Like, we act like we ain't been there.
I know.
Right?
We act like we ain't been on that side of that motherfucker.
We're going out there dragging that bitch around and it ain't doing nobody, no justice.
I feel bad because it's hard.
Because he's so good.
Should be.
Josh Hart.
He's so good.
The all-defense thing?
He should.
No.
I don't think it's been really sure.
You know, I was, I was, there was.
Is that long now?
I don't think.
I was watching the intro.
And I was like, man, they're just messing up history.
Right?
Well, you got, I think it was Josh Hart.
They got him at, what, the small Ford?
Right.
Two?
Well, McKell's the two?
Yeah.
And I'm like
You're name in history
You're not a small Ford dog
Right
It's just some of these things I'm looking at like
A 6-4 small Ford
Then these names of history
Like you just
In his NBA you can do that
Yeah
Fortunate for him
Right
He can't run the one
He should be that right
I mean it's just
It was just looking at my small four
I'm like
SJ 66 at the 1
So
So for we move on
Benzitts
Starrant at point guard
been since 16, you're like, God damn.
Before we move on, we ask the chat, is it obvious?
They're going to say, yeah.
71% of the chat say yes, it is obvious.
One more Knicks-related subject.
In other Knicks news, J.R. Smith found out the hard way
what happens when you find yourself on the wrong side of a Knicks fan Mosh pit following a win.
So let's take a look at the video.
Smith tried to leave the garden through the general population exit.
ended up getting trampled by some rowdy Knicks fans.
I love New York.
Hook him to the ground.
Overcome with emotion.
And the fact that you can't get up.
He's stuffed it up.
He's on top of somebody else.
Yeah, it's bad.
Hand down, man down, as that's that.
Help me up.
They ain't dropped the joint either.
He's trying to hold on to that motherfucker.
No turnover.
No turnovers.
Yes.
That's a lot of Negroes.
the Negroes.
What's your reaction
to see J.R. Smith getting trampled
by Nick's fans?
I love it.
Not that he got trampled.
Just to see the
New York fan base, man,
just...
See what they did to the Pacers fan last year?
No, that's what I'm saying, but...
What I'm saying is, just to see
them in real time,
real action, because only time
I really, really paid attention to New York
as they always booed, because I
was busting their team ass so they was doing them they grabbing out you see what they were doing the
julius round of jersey and pitch and yeah yeah that's the only thing we know i know i know so to see them
on the good side of it just being happy he's still crazy it's still crazy no no that type of shit is insane
they're a little insane no no no he just failed no he was in a lot he was up funding he was
he was spectacular this is this is this is game one of round two I love that this is this is they're doing this is for
one around to imagine they win it they gonna burn the city down yes no it's a good burn no the angry
burn is the worst one no they're gonna be what's gonna be watch right it's gonna be watch right it's gonna be
bad they need that now they're going to the chip well jr won't know i get corner with jr don't put
i don't just good we can have fun with jr don't put yourself in that situation but you know you know you
know you're a fan but you don't get crazy yeah yeah yeah you're about yo jr's a god in new york
I know.
The guy tried to walk out, keeping the real and wrong?
He's like, no, he's trying to walk out the front door at the MSN.
That's he going to the people.
Great point, yeah, great point exactly.
You gotta go to the people.
Keep it real goes wrong.
I'm the people's chair.
Nah, hell no, I mean, you get stumbled.
The people want the chair.
No, he's a golfer now, bro.
He got a, he can't.
When keeping it real, college graduates.
That man, pick me up with my blunt.
Yeah, like I knew he wasn't in trouble because the blunt's just stayed.
I think he was just mad.
He was just down and chew all.
Yes.
They film it.
Get me up.
I'm getting trampled.
Rats is.
Too much.
Get me up.
I got the problem.
Ain't no way going out that door, man.
No way.
That exit thought.
No way.
After a game in the playoffs.
Even if it was my thought, right?
Even if it was the thought, like I'm going to go out with the people.
Soon as you.
Yeah.
Nah, what we're going to call it's hoover.
What's you're back right there?
New York.
You're going out there with them people.
I bet you his ass won't do it again.
Shit, I bet he do.
I bet if they get in the finals, he won't be out there,
he's crazy.
He better be in the finals.
I'm going to be out there to find him with my shirt off.
You crazy as hell.
It's going to be.
He ain't going back out there.
He ain't going back out there.
No, he tripped.
That was it.
No.
He tripped on a person.
Yeah, another person failed.
Yeah.
And there was a pile on effect.
It was just, that was it.
There was a pile on effect.
Like, no.
What?
I would have just been like, just, he just go out there next time and just show your shirt.
Hey, there's like the pile of as you see.
the dude that don't drop his beard, don't drop catching, yeah, I'm not going to let this fall.
This is going to help me when I get up.
Right.
I just call the fans that do that.
Huh?
No, everyone else do that.
Who?
I got a fan.
Well, you said the Warriors do it too?
I said no one else does that.
Yeah.
I got a fan like New York?
Everybody's fans too cool.
I mean, I don't know that.
Probably better out.
You said Boston?
Now they win it, listen.
They didn't have nothing to win it.
Now, not because Boston used to win it.
They didn't have nothing to do for a long time, bro.
Yeah, nobody does.
So now they're winning now, and this is the younger generation of fan?
Yeah, you might be right.
I think he's the only team.
Yeah, New York's only team.
You think Brooklyn would do that, the Nets?
No.
Not yet.
No?
Even though it's still in New York.
Toronto, the Toronto fans crazy.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Toronto fans grew up that.
Yes.
But other than the Knicks.
They swung on Rick Ross.
Yeah, no, the Knicks.
It don't matter.
They're one-of-one.
Canadians is the best people.
But I'm just saying, man.
It was the original booed the home team.
They're nice.
The fans were the original booed the home team people, man.
Like, they're the first one start booing the home team.
Apollo?
You watch Apollo?
You know, they ain't nobody doing what the Nick's trying to do.
Nah, they're not.
I mean, no.
Nick, I think that's just, that was just.
Portland.
What?
Portland?
We don't know.
I think Portland would go crazy.
Too liberal.
No.
They can't even afford their fans.
They can't even afford their fans.
They don't even get T-shirts.
Yeah, they don't get T-shirts.
They barely get, they ain't going to even have parade.
They probably, hey, they're going to be the spirit of the NBA.
Do this shit tomorrow.
I get you.
I'll get you.
I ring with everything tomorrow.
There's everything tomorrow.
Ain't no more seats.
Everybody stand up.
Hold on.
It's just taking off.
There ain't going to be no sweets in that joint no more.
He couldn't talk.
He put himself in a horrible situation.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, and them people crazy.
Drive kids ain't gonna want to go there no more.
These kids crazy, bro.
New York, yeah, there ain't nothing but 18 them up, whatever out there, and they're rowdy, bro.
Intoxic?
Y'all never been in a parade, huh?
Yes.
I forgot.
I forgot.
Was it in a parade?
When you were the championship, like that's the type of shit happened.
He was comfortable in that type of thing.
He was comfortable in that.
He was comfortable in that.
I forget, yeah, y'all ain't never been.
I mean, we went to the Final Four, so we was in a parade.
That's different.
It's different.
I understand.
Now I get where y'all coming from.
No, I seen yours.
That's your fun.
I eat a lot.
It's like,
you got your kids up there.
One last thing we would deserve that kind of shot.
They don't make you happy.
See, I'm watching you right now.
See, you're smiling now.
Look at that.
You're smiling.
He said they don't deserve that.
They don't deserve that kind of shot.
Really said that.
They don't make you happy.
I was hot.
To be cooler that too.
This thing up there having fun with his family.
The shit we just did last night with the girls.
I just got your four, five of them.
You're like, fuck them kids, man.
They're like, party at your house right now.
You want to go to the parade.
You want to go to the parade.
With them.
Ungrateful ass.
You weren't even trying to hire them.
When you leave them?
Tomorrow?
Tomorrow?
When you leave?
And we're leaving.
It sounded like Craig.
It sounded like dayday.
It sounds like day.
It was like that.
The boat agent.
I tried to put myself in parole.
So they had to be around, y'all.
It was like, yeah.
There's like, is there any felons over there?
I was like, damn.
Damn, I don't think so.
Does you know you can't be around?
No, sure.
Anything.
You has returned to the family.
Like, Bo agent.
You can't be around nor other felons.
I think we're good.
And that's what I was, that's what I was trying to put it.
Yeah, ain't nobody who's trying to record like that.
I think we did.
That's what I was trying to.
You're trying to serve me.
Yeah.
One last thing we're going to discuss.
Yellow boy, I'm pretty sure got in trouble in the day.
You know what?
He told me about a fire.
Tell him about a fire when he was five.
Did they ever find that?
Yeah.
Fire in the world.
Hey, definitely should have been.
Hey, definitely was a felon.
Absolutely.
Five-al-in-Blay arson at his finest.
Only if you get caught.
All got caught.
All got caught.
Everybody stitched on me.
Absolutely snitch on me.
It was three of us.
Yeah, it's talking about Jenna Brown.
Yeah, it was three of us.
What's on Jenner Brown?
What's wrong with Jenner Brown?
Yeah, it's talking about Jenner Brown.
We got it.
Gilles in his Lakers gear.
Oh, don't worry about us.
They're good.
Yeah, we're good.
Yeah, poor old.
We're good.
So let's celebrate the good time.
We won.
We won our stand.
We won our sphere.
We're celebrating.
Yep, you get you.
We won't.
We're good.
The Legers and Thunder tip off.
The Legers and Thunder tip off.
off their West semi-series tonight,
but let's go back to the not-so-distant past.
Last time we were in Gill's Arena,
Lakers had lost back-to-back games, including game five.
In Los Angeles, appeared to be on the verge
of becoming the first team to blow a 3-0 lead
in NBA playoff history.
Some on this couch felt that way.
I thought that they were cooked.
Purple and gold got a huge game-six win
over the Rockets in Houston with LeBron
once again putting the team on his back
and what many thought was a must-win game
for the Lakers squad.
Let's take a look at some highlights, just quickly.
No big deal, because we just had to discuss it.
The game was on Friday.
We do our last shows on Thursday.
I know some of y'all were watching.
So LeBron had a game high, 28 points.
Oh, good pass.
On 10 of 25 shooting, along with 8 assists, 7 rebounds, 37 minutes to action.
Rudy Hachamora added 21 and 6 boards, going 5 for 7 from distance.
Austin Reeves, also known as Lim and Daddy in certain parts of Los Angeles,
had 15 on 7 or 14 shooting as the Lakers cruise to the 20-point win.
LeBron now has 22 series clinching wins on the road.
in his playoff career passing Derek Fisher and Tim Duncan for the most in NBA history.
Look at these Lakers.
Don't close out.
Season on the line.
Oh, y'all was down by 30 at that point.
They did their best.
Rockets gave their best effort, a nearly full-strength rocket squad, nearly full strength.
I was wrong.
So after the series clinching win, LeBron pulled up to NBion Prime,
and had this to say about his seemingly never-ending battle with Father Time.
We all keep saying it's you versus Father Time.
What's the score?
Oh, I'm kicking his ass.
Yeah, yeah, fast.
Yeah, yeah.
He could go to somebody else at this point.
He already lost to me.
It's over with it.
So, Brown average 23 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds for the series,
playing nearly 39 minutes per game.
Headed into the series without Luca and Austin Reeves,
Lakers one of the biggest underdogs in NBA playoffs.
off history, overcame the odds.
If I'm, if I'm, if I'm, if I'm, if I'm in Rockets, we don't have to do some soul searching
if this team is going to stay together.
Because they did everything they didn't suppose to do on a court.
If you go back and look, two of those guys are 6'10, right?
Right?
They could jump, right?
supposedly.
They never challenged no shots at the rim.
Right?
They never jump.
They never swat.
I mean, it's like the best defensive player is their guard who challenges every day.
None of these guys challenge anything at the rim.
And it's like, wait, hold on.
You know, you know, you're more athletic than the whole team.
Like, what are you all doing?
Why are y'all just sitting here shooting threes?
They don't, there's nobody back there that's going to block any of you guys.
You're settling.
on a team that's not athletic,
so you're playing to their strengths.
Like we're like, San Gung, you're catching the ball
at the three point line, you can't shoot.
How's that helping your team out?
Because one thing you do gotta do,
because you can't shoot the three,
you gotta put it on the floor,
you gotta do your little shimmy shake, right?
You're gonna go left, you're gonna spin back, right?
Then you try to do one of these, right?
And Hayes was like, you know what?
He don't actually pump fake when he does it.
Let me just jump.
So it's like,
You have a team that's just not being, they're just in the wrong positions and how they're treating themselves.
Like, like, no back doors, no lobs at the rim.
It's like, come on, we're, y'all are not putting no pressure on nobody.
And the dudes, the dude that drive can't shoot the ball, right?
So there's no two, there's no, there's no three way scoring on, on this team right now.
Well, I hear you gear.
And to M.A. Udoka's defense, don't think you got too many lob throwers on the team.
Passing ain't the best attribute besides Sangoon.
Passing ain't everybody's best attribute, right?
I hear you, what the expectation should be and what the skill set is of the guys.
that's too
that's so far and few
in between
like you got a guy
playing at a point
who's not a point
you're forcing Thompson to be a point
he's not that
right no no no no
that's what I'm saying
but you're trying to force these guys
into things that they are not
you're trying to make Jabari Smith
to be a score right
he is not he's an open jump shooter
is he that's bad
I'm saying he's an open jump shooter
like you putting pressure on him
to do things that he can't do
that he's not comfortable doing yet
I ain't gonna say he can't
I ain't gonna say he can't
He can't.
He's not comfortable doing those other things yet.
What he does do well is shoot the ball from the perimeter.
You got to try to get him open looks.
He can't drive by Jake from Allstate?
Oh, I think he can.
Oh, okay.
I was going to say it.
I think he has frettic enough to do those things, yes.
But to go out and do them, they're not doing them, right?
Whatever they're putting them in a position to or they just physically can't, we don't know.
But the team in trouble, don't know how, what is going to do.
look like moving forward. We don't know.
Yeah, it was ugly, ugly home loss.
But, yeah, I got to, yeah, I got to give credit with credits to do.
Laikers did what they were supposed to in the first.
And we went in tonight too, though.
And I was dead wrong about, but they didn't play four.
They played three, and they was kicking the Lakers' ass.
I mean, kicking Houston's ass.
Of course he can play forever.
Look where he's playing again.
He just turns into a very.
capable rocket squad.
He turned into San Gung, a power forward, slow, past the ball, do those buff, back down
shit.
Yeah, he can play for a while.
You don't have to be fast.
About 15 feet?
Yeah.
At this rate, yeah.
That's all he did.
Pop threes, back down.
Because they don't force him to do nothing else.
The game is right.
The game is the base.
So he don't got to be super fast like he used to.
He just turn it on every now and again.
Yeah.
But he can play at this pace and this rate.
No, shit.
The game is about to make another shift.
Shit.
Because teams, teams that has that, that specialist defensive player in a guard position is hurting teams.
And there's going to be a big shift into the point where I would rather have a guard who can shoot and can't play defense over a defensive guy who can't score whatsoever.
Because you're very limited.
I can.
Or let me ask you this.
Let me ask you this one.
Would you rather have a rim protector in that position over a guard?
Yes.
I'd rather have my, if I'm not going to have a lawn shooter.
You had a Rudy Gober.
Would you have Rudy or Dyson Daniel?
I'd rather have a Rudy Gowber.
That's what I'm.
All right.
So the fact that you have a Dyson Danyans
and all they're doing is just sitting in there.
Because the other guard, right?
My guard can react.
So the guard is guard to him.
You can't shoot.
I'm just going to go for steals, clean it up,
protect the other guard.
That's all that's going to happen.
So you're just playing four and five on offense.
I got you.
You know, so it's, it looks really bad because all the teams are not playing very well who has that one guy at that position.
So they might just go back.
I'd rather have my big man who can't put the ball on the basket.
So quickly on LeBron's battle with Father Time, producers want you to know this is not coming from me.
LeBron had more wins in this playoff series without Reeves and Donchick in year 23 than Jordan did without Pippen in his entire career.
They was ready to kill Brown.
41-year-old.
He had lost this.
Oh my God.
Yeah, that was no win for him.
Legacy on the line.
Okay, we gotta stop.
Yeah, let him be joking right now.
Legacy on the line.
There's no way.
There's no legacy on the line.
Just let you know.
That was the discourse.
That was the discourse.
You know that.
Because it's called lazy.
They're ready to come to a prox.
How can somebody at 41, whatever he does?
He go out there and average four points right now.
Now, his legacy's not on the line?
Mm, got it down.
Okay, was Jordan's legacy on the line
when he was with the goddamn Wizards?
He's a more amazing.
No, what I'm saying is, when he was with the Wizards,
was his legacy on the line?
No.
There was Kobe legacy on the line
when he didn't make the playoffs last four?
No.
Not them.
Was Karim legacy on the line them last couple years?
No, but what I'm saying is,
there's, your legacy has a window
and whatever you're doing on that window, great.
Anything extra, we're just happy to see.
No.
Right?
It's just that.
There's nothing he can do.
do moving forward that's going to change anybody's opinion right there he wins a championship
right now there's no Jordan fan that's going to say oh you know what he's in front of Jordan
it's not happening wait a wait a minute what did I say the other day this is interesting
this is this Stephen A Smith I don't get forth what he do he's not going to be in front of my guy
you not going to change people opinions no exactly why are we thank you why are we counting all of the
stuff that he's doing at 41 who is no nobody
is. Who's counting it?
Well, all the stats that he's accumulated
over the last five years are
added on to his legacy.
But it was already submitted, though.
So why are you adding on to
the legacy?
Anybody adding on to it?
I'm just trying, can I get my point across?
You ask question. I'm saying
what, like if
it can't be disrupted,
how can you keep adding on to it?
Who's adding on to it?
The stats are accumulating.
But we're talking about the legacy.
Can I finish?
You're talking about the legacy, now the stats.
The stats are a part of his legacy.
No, it's not.
Yes.
Leading the NBA in all-time points, that's a part of his legacy.
All the free-throw attempts, the playoff points, all of the different things are contributing to the goat conversation right now, based on all the accumulation of the things that he's been doing since this window, y'all said, has closed.
So my question is like, okay, if he loses this series, it don't count against him.
But if he wins it, you go and say at 41, he won in the first round with no Luca, no this, no that.
You got to put him against Jordan if he goes to the conference finals.
You got him, if he get his six ring or his fifth ring, you got to give him.
That's other people.
And what are the Jordan fans going to say?
I don't care, right?
I'm not talking about the Jordan fans.
Kobe fan.
What are you going to say?
I'm just talking about the criteria of legacy.
Y'all saying that the window was the window
and that it couldn't work against him if he loses,
but he's still playing.
And you're saying it don't work against Jordan
playing with the Wizards.
And it definitely does
because you bring up Jordan and the Wizards
when you don't have an argument
about what he did with the Bull.
Wait, no, no what I'm saying?
Who is they?
Everybody.
When you're saying when you throw negativity
on the older guy,
and I'm saying,
how are you doing this?
against him, but you didn't do it against
no other older guy who
was just running around, doing whatever
they were doing. Karim might do with your
bar. That's the point.
He's supposed to be the best ever.
You're supposed to get the most
critique for the
top position. So when Kareem was at the
end of his legs, did any of those
stats he put up?
He's not... Help him against Jordan
when Jordan only had two rings
and only 18,000 points.
Nobody... None of those...
None of those stats.
Nobody considered...
Of course not.
Of course.
What's the conversation?
Of course.
Then your stats don't matter.
So no matter what Kareem did, no matter what anybody did when they seen Jordan, Jordan won a second.
Say it again.
When they seen Jordan...
They didn't matter when they gave Jordan the crown.
So did this...
Remember in the Olympics, when they were going to the Olympics, 92 Olympics, who was the greatest player that ever lived?
Do you know what his stats look like?
I don't think...
nothing to do with Kareem.
Kareem had five rings, six MVP's.
He had all of that.
But I don't think Bs could be the greatest to play the game.
Before Jordan, they were the greatest.
But it didn't have nothing to do with stats.
Kareemina.
Remember in 92, Magic got five rings,
MVP's finals MVP's.
Kareem stats, he was done.
He was done.
None of that mattered.
So if you're going to change your opinion.
I don't think Kareen.
Or you're not.
There's nothing.
What I'm saying is there's nothing that you can tell someone.
To change their mind?
That's what I say.
That's what I say.
Especially their personal opinion.
You don't make it right.
Your personal opinion.
Don't make it right.
Thank you.
That's my point.
It don't make it right if you're talking, if you're saying we're talking unbiased sports, then your opinion can play a factor.
Thank you.
What's the point is preference.
No.
We argue and we both do the same thing.
Kobe's our favorite player, but we have somebody different at the goat.
Okay, yes.
Because you're reasonable rational.
So do we use playoff record as a metric of who the goat is based on 6 and 0, based on 4 and 6,
based on how many times you won, conference, finals MVP, MVP, all these things?
They count, right?
Does getting their count too?
I remember older generation before the new ones came in,
going to the championship actually mattered.
Right?
We're in a generation where you would say,
I would rather not make the playoffs than go to the championship and lose.
So if we're racing, one is gold, one is silver.
You're saying you would rather not make none of it
to laugh at by silver to not even start the race.
So that's where we are.
So you're basically saying,
Jordan is 6 and 0 when he got there, but you're not going to penalize him for when he couldn't get there.
So Tatum getting there at 22, Luca getting there at 20-something, they already have a knock against their career, even though that was Jordan's rookie season.
So if LeBron gets there and he wins this title this year, doesn't it add to his legacy?
Are you going to change your opinion?
Am I going to change my opinion about what?
About LeBron.
I said he was to go.
Are you all you said LeBron?
I never I'm sorry we don't yeah I thought my question is why we can't criticize him if he fails
But you want to celebrate him when it's he's people gonna do either one
It doesn't make sense to me people going to lose he loses it's against his legacy
If he wins he wins is for his legacy
That's it's just a hypocrisy to me that everybody jumps on because he's 41 and he does well and it's like yay
But then if he loses the joint and it's like
He's 41.
It doesn't do anything to his legacy.
Because the people that like,
hold on.
The people that like him are going to praise him
if he gets out of the first round, right?
He got out of the first round.
His fans and everybody are going to praise him.
The people that dislike him,
they were hoping that he loses
so they can go on their tirade
so that he's not the greatest.
It's both things are happening at the same time.
His fans, listen, he's great, great, great,
everybody over here like,
damn, I hope that motherfucker lose.
to talk my shit.
That's just what it is.
If he wins, they're going to add on to it.
The people, when he lose, they're going to add on to the,
they're going to keep pounding on to the negative shit.
They got to say.
Anybody that wakes up at 40 to 41 and sees what he's doing should be amazed.
It isn't what's.
Win or lose.
I think that's what it is.
We're amazed.
We're not worried about the legacy anymore.
We're just amazed.
That's all right.
It's already there.
When you talk about age and you're at the same age and what he's doing on that
Florida's crazy.
Yeah, that's what's what?
When you're judging him, who are you judging him against?
Like, so, like, when we say, all right, we're going to penalize you if you lost.
Yeah.
Well, who is he being compared to?
Because I'm pretty sure there's nobody at 41 that who you got in front of him will have any stats at that age.
So that exempts you from failure.
You already succeeded.
It should, though.
Because you look at the guys that did.
There's no sustained it's failure at least for.
No, since he gets failure at this.
Losing in the first round.
You should just be amazed at what he's doing right now.
No, it's not, man.
What would you call it?
A fucking loss.
Is it losing and failing?
No, it's a loss.
A third option?
He'll be just amazed at that.
A losing is not failing.
It is failure, but we're not going to count it against you as a third option,
41-year-old.
As a third, that's moving the goal post.
No.
You want to call it a team sport?
You want to say you a third option?
You want to say this.
Listen, man.
It was supposed to be 4-0.
It was impressive.
Like I said.
for him to get out of there without his
without his mates.
Very impressive.
LeBron did exactly what was expected
of him.
Lead the team, be the vet.
He showed his leadership in the huddles.
He showed his determination.
He showed his focus on getting the ball
and doing what exactly needed to be done
for them to win the series.
That is impressive.
Not because he's 41.
No, 41.
Because he's a great basketball.
Because he's a great basketball player.
Doesn't matter.
This will be impressive as Brian was young.
Well, he failed when he was younger.
No, he didn't fail when he was younger.
As a team.
Okay.
Took his team.
He would have took that team to the final.
He would have took that team to the final.
But he's been to eight finals in a row.
So that's not impressive if he gets past the first round.
But he went to eight finals straight, right?
Ten final straight, right?
That's why he lost in some of those finals.
He lost some, right?
So those were.
failures at a young age.
Right?
Failures at a young age.
Now that he's older,
now that he's older,
he has more wisdom,
more knowledge.
He knows how to take his team deeper.
But if he loses,
guess what?
It's a fucking failure.
That's why this is impressive
for him to get to the next round
and show resilience
that he can get over the hump
with or without Luca.
If he can do that,
that adds to his legacy.
But he loses in this next round
against OK.
You know, does it go against his legacy?
Does it go against the guys who couldn't even physically make it to that?
I'm not talking about them.
See, he's on the mountain, he's on, but it is because that's the legacy.
The legacy is against everybody else.
So you're trying to judge him at his, his worst of his career to everyone's best?
No.
You judge him throughout his career, throughout his career.
If you're gonna add on accolades at the end of his career, based on him accumulating a bunch of shit,
like, like, that's, and stuff that's, you're going to be.
going to help his legacy, you got to go back
and then judge his beginning of his career, too.
Like, everyone does.
No, everybody, you remember, everybody's last
couple years is added to their career.
So why is it not?
Jordan's, y'all saying his don't count.
Jordan's, y'all saying this window is closed.
So if you're saying the last,
you're saying this added on to everybody else's
end of their career, why can't it be added on here?
Why was Kobe last game 60 impressive?
It wasn't impressive.
Yes, it was.
Okay, now it was.
Not to me.
And he did it so many times when he was younger.
That game wasn't impressive.
All the Achilles, the knee mask, that wasn't impressive.
Wow.
It was.
It was very impressive.
Where he was, where his body was at that moment in time.
That was impressive.
That helps is that.
Right, something.
It would have been impressive and he took them to the playoffs.
You know, it was also what he took them to the playoffs and won the first round.
And won in the first round, that would have been in play.
That would have been in place.
You know what else was impressive?
The way Dirt looked at 41.
the way Tim Duncan looked at 40,
the way Vince Carter was that 40.
That's fucking impressive.
Yeah.
I know what I felt like at 40.
That was impressive.
That was impressive.
Well, let's look ahead to this Sunday series.
Austin Reeves back in the mix with two playoff games under his belt.
Lucas begun some on-court work status still remains uncertain for this series.
Thunder swept the season series with the Lakers by an average of 29.3 points per game.
God.
But, you know, closer than those numbers indicate.
Okay.
It's the worst of any playoff matchup in NBA history. Lakers are 15.5.
Wait, what did you say?
They kicked y'all ass by 29 a game during the regular season.
In a regular season. What they can do with playoffs?
Favorite by 15.
Reading numbers.
So they are favored by 15.5 points tonight.
That's the most of Bronn has been an underdog in any game in his 23-year NBA career, regular season or play.
I just feel like the script writers.
Like, I'm just trying to figure out what is the point of all this.
It's to ask you, Gil.
Like, we woke up.
We woke up.
So what did the Lake Writers?
So what do the Lakers need?
We woke up.
It's a Laker Tuesday, single de Mayo.
All the Hispanics right now getting drunk.
We are ready to cheer.
And you coming over here with 15.5.
Right nobody want to hear none of that shit, man.
No, that rewrite that.
Tell me, oh yeah, you know.
The sports books got dropping it.
We're going to win it.
Like, give us some hope.
Would you like some hope?
Yes.
You need an action.
Forno in his career on single de Mayo.
Oh, yeah.
And it's Taco Tuesday.
The rarest finger, DiMaio, Taco, Tocombo.
Listen, the Lakers need an act of God to help them.
No?
Damn, what they do?
Why, we gonna get this?
We're getting this first room.
Listen, we got a mole over there.
We got Caruso in there.
Caruso, do it right.
Caruso know where he got his first ring.
Do it right, Caruso.
We know he got his first three.
You might get one win.
He going for three.
I know.
Hey, did my ball head give me away.
He going for three.
I don't think that's going to move.
Either way.
Either way, tonight, make sure you pull up for our Lexus Thunder.
Live on.
Nick's Lex Lakers and a fire.
Let's like this.
I'm just put it out there.
Adam, Super, you're hearing this, because I see you've been listening.
I see your tanking thing.
You followed my heart.
Listen, listen, if you want the ratings to be the best ever,
a Laker, New York finals,
LeBron has never played in the finals in New York.
New York ain't been in the finals since.
1970.
1999.
Two-pocket.
Before blacks and whites got together in the NBA?
You said what year?
They haven't won since 73 haven't been in the final since 99.
Since they merged.
They were starting to hang out of colors.
It was colored bathrooms in the arena.
It was colored bathrooms in there.
There was still a color section.
So this right here is to be the biggest.
You see New York what they're doing in the second round.
It'd be amazing for ratings.
ratings make it happen.
Tupac and Bigg.
Yep, bad boys versus death row.
Goolite.

So was you wrong about Jason Taylor coming back then?
Since you want to be right about so much shit, nigga.
No, I wasn't.
We will get into that tomorrow.
Was it worth it?
I was right.
No, no, no, you was not.
Was it worth it?
Yeah, it was definitely worth it.
It was definitely worth it.
It wasn't right about that.
Yeah, because the guy who got him there,
ended up not being the one taking them there.
Definitely not worked.
That's all that was.
That's all that was.
He missed the last three shots in the last three minutes.
He was supposed to take it over the top.
You got to cook back with a team, man.
He did not.
Him ended in the street closed.
He did not.
Him ended in the street clothes for the past of the season.
And he didn't get hurt.
And he didn't get hurt.
Who didn't get hurt?

Because they wanted to.
No.
They took precautions.

See how he looked.
We're talking self-y.
Jason Tadem, Jaylon Brown, like the beef-popping tomorrow.
He played.
Jalen Brown didn't do what he was supposed to do.
That's all it was.
That's all it was.
Jalen Brown did not do what he was supposed to.
Who?
Charlotte.
No,
the Charlotte.
Who?
Because I wasn't here.
What team did you say?
The Charlotte.
They were, there was a second, what do you say?
Second most, second best to make, not, I don't know what the fuck this nigga said.

None of sense.

Or not.
