So Spurs, even things up. with their game four win over the Thunder, but which squad is taking the pivotal game five, winners of game five when the series tied two two. Going to win the series nearly 82% of the time. We will discuss New York in the finals for the first time this century after sweeping their second straight series. Is it time to stop sleeping on these Knicks? A lot of people don't think they have a chance in the finals.

They think the winner of the Spurs and Thunder series will go on to get the ring. We will discuss. And the all NBA teams dropped this weekend, but did the voters get it right? So we're going to talk about the NICS making their first NBA finals since 1999 and just a few. But let's start in the West with the more competitive conference finals.

Game three saw the Spurs jump out to a 15-0 lead, which was the longest run to open a conference finals game in the play-by-play era. But the Thunder responded with a 58-36 run, take a seven-point lead at the break, never looked back. SGA went schoolless in the first. quarter in free throw list in the first half. Still finished with 26 points and 12 assists. He was 12 for 12 from the line in the second half. Jared McCain led a dominant performance by the Thunder bench putting up a playoff high. 24 points. Thunder were without Jaylon Williams who missed the game with left hamstring soreness, but the other Jaylon Williams had 18 points. Alex Caruso added 15.

OkC's bench outscored San Antonio 76 23. Thunder won their second straight following their double overtime loss in game one. Took a 2-1 series lead. After That game, Wimby said he had trouble making his teammates better, needed to be more of a team player. And Greg Popovich came into the locker room right after the game for the first time this season, lit the squad up with some choice words to get them back on track. Spurs hadn't lost three straight games all season. Sunday they made sure that street continued. Let's take a look at the highlights.

If we can, please. So Spurs put together a defensive masterclass in this one. Winby opened the game with a three-pointed Thunderwere. Once again, without Jalen Williams, we're also missing A.J. Mitchell as well, game was back and forth early on as Isaiah Hardenstein hit four straight floaters to pace the thunder. But then the Spurs went on a 16-0 run to take a 15-point lead with just over four minutes remaining in the first frame. Thunder closed the gap, trailing by nine heading into the second quarter. Wimby scored or assisted on 17 of San Antonio's 28 first quarter points. Both teams struggled to find their offense in the second quarter combining for just.

41 points in the frame. Thunder cut the deficit to five points with a little over a minute remaining. But then the Spurs went on a 7-0 run. As Wimby finished the first half with a bang, as you see right here, pulling up from Half Court, the longest shot of his career. Spurs continued to pile it on in the third quarter, leading by as much as 25 points. Carried an 18-point lead into the final frame.

Wimby finished with 33 points, 8 boards, 5 assists in three blocks. Alien was 11 for 22 from the field, 8 for 9 from the line. Also a game high plus 29. Devin Vassell and Stefan Castle each had 13 points, combining for nine rebounds and nine assists. Castle committed just one turnover for the second straight game after having 20 in the first two games of this series, while Aaron Fox added 12 points, 10 boards, and five assists.

SGA was held to just 19 points on 6 of 15 shooting. It was his first time scoring less than 20 points in this series, And all but one of his 15 fieldgo attempts were contested as the Spurs defense smothered the back-to-back MVP. Isaiah Hardinstein added 12 and 7 boards and Chet Homer had 10 and 9 rebounds. Spurs held the thunder. Their season lows of 82 points on 33% shooting, including 6 of 33 from 3. Spurs' offense wasn't much better. They shot 39%, 27% from distance.

But San Antonio plus 12 in points off turnovers, plus 11 in fast rate points, and plus 14 in points in points in the paint. Now the series shifts back to OKC for Game 5 and what is now a best of three series. Here was reaction from both sides after the game. We didn't do nothing unexpected, but the truth is that we had never been in this kind of situation before. It was our first deficit in a playoff series. And we just responded, but it was nothing amazing.

It wasn't magic. We just did what we needed to do, and the series is far from over. We got six more wins before. We can rest. Yeah, they just punched us in our face early. There's two games in the road. They've come out the aggressors.

Last game we were able to course correct tonight. We just didn't do so. Yeah, we just got to do a better job with starting the games. Obviously, it's a little bit more challenging when you're on the road, and we know that. But we got to go out there and do it if we want to win games, especially against the team not good. So this is the first time Thunder failed to score 90 points in the game since 20 points in the game since 20. 90 points in the game since 2022. Skip, biggest takeaways from the Spurs,

Game 4 win in the Western Conference Finals. I fear I'm about to be in Larry's Cemetery. Just to reiterate, I did pick Thunder and 7, and I posted immediately after Game 4 a confession that bordered upon a concession. Because I've got, little to no chance without my second and third best scores and more important my second and third best ball handlers. I'm down to one ball handler and I'll get to him in just a moment. But if you take

away Jalen Williams, who's gone with two hamstring pulls, he was an all star last year. He was second team all defense, and I'm going to remind you that the Thunder last year in the conference finals in game three at Minnesota lost 143 to 101. They lost by 42. And what happened the next game, game four at Minnesota? Jalen Williams scored 34, but SGA was able to score 40 because he scored 34. You had a one-two thunder lightning punch. What happened in game five? You talked about. Game five's always tell the tale. What happened in the NBA finals last year in game five, again, at Oklahoma City? Jalen Williams scored 40 points. He's gone. And who rose and shown against your Lakers in the previous round, those four games? This kid, A.J. Mitchell, he's got star quality to him. He averaged

23 a game against the Lakers in the previous round. He's gone with a calf pull, and my strength with cap pulls. I don't know about you guys, but they're just bitches. You just, once it goes, you're just not going to get it back in three or four days. I'm sorry, he's gone. And I know nobody's talking about this because nobody wants to

detract from or discredit the rise of the alien. They want the alien to be the greatest player we've ever seen. And I give you that off game one and game four because he was that. But now I get to the

back-to-back MVP, Che Gilles Alexander. If you take away my second and third score and my second and third ball handler, then SGA is going to have to bring the ball up the floor nearly every single time. And once he crosses half court, this is the NBA's overreaction to the runaway internet outrage over SGA free throw merchant, which I, this is just me and I'm a thunder fan, but I don't I don't see it, I don't get it, but whatever. The overreaction by the NBA is to make sure that the referees allow Stefan Castle to play football against SGA at half court. Football, flat out football. He can attack him, he can ram him, he can bodybag him, he can do whatever he wants.

He can hack him across the arms out away from the basket. And, yep, Stefan Castle has had five fouls each of the last two games. but it should have been 25 fouls because it's every single time. I have never witnessed anything like it. It got so crazy last night. I tweeted, this just in, Stefan Castle just made the Pro Bowl.

The Pro Bowl is the NFL, All-Star Team. That's what he just made. He just made the Pro Bowl because he deserves to be in the Pro Bowl. He's the reincarnation of Ronnie Lott. I don't know. He's just playing bully ball football on SGA.

and he's just going to get worn down. So the combination of SGA or bust, I'm going to remind you, game one, how quickly you forget, but game one of this series, what happened? Jaylon Williams actually played in that game. Guess who handled the ball the most

in that game for the Thunder? Jalen Williams had it 35% of the time. SGA had it 28% of the time. Okay, so he's a big-time ball handler creator. He can get his own whenever he wants to get his own. And I do remind you at the end of the first overtime in game one, it was crucial. The last two shots were taken and missed, but taken by Jalen Williams. That's how big a deal he is to that basketball team that is now having to play football.

And so, you know, I just don't love my pick anymore. And the truth is, I will be surprised if the Thunder win game five. I will be surprised because the visiting team should win game five. I'll still rude, I'll still, I'll pick them, I'll still say that when, but I don't know how because they are up against it and the spurs are going to come in with huge momentum and they're going to be smelling six, be over and six, go home and take care of business. So I just don't love what I'm seeing. Swaggy, let's shift over to you.

Oh man I say the game just being physical Like Like Skip said My man's just playing football out there But he is making an impact on the game He is having the biggest impact With every game I see a different poster

And it's scary But they do allow I feel like the NBA allows When me to do whatever he wants Out there Allow the spurs a foul whenever they want I know the team, it feel like you know who they want to win and be in the finals, for sure. And it shows from the whole series, from the last series, the way somebody could elbow

somebody like that and nothing happens, no repercussions. So you know who you want and they know who they won't. But OKC is under, man. When you lose AJ 2, I feel like that hurts. another guy that's been averaging 13, 14 points. He was averaging 16 at one point during the season without J-dub. And that's just another guy that can put the ball in the hole. I would say the way they're laying the spurs play out there on defense is crazy.

So, Swahy, previous series, that was the criticism of OKC. Wait a minute, Joe. Let me introduce this point. Please don't steal my glory moment. Let Brandon go. Please don't steal my glow. It just seems like there's some flippings. There's some flippooribbing.

Some flippage and some floppage. But let's shift over to you, Mr. B. What are your biggest takeaways from the Spurs, Game 4 win over the Thunder to tie this series up to 2-2 heading back to OKC? It was joyful, joyful. You know, they brought the nuns out. The nuns were blessed.

You know, they run Scott Foster out. Scott Foster was extended. Sister Act, too, type of atmosphere going on. Sister Mary Klan? A lot of joyful, joyful. You know, what I can't take away from it, O.K.C. didn't shoot well. SGA, he is struggling from the field. Right now, he's shooting 27% from the three.

You know, the way Chet's plan is definitely making SGA have to do a lot more. The Spurs, the Spurs are 11-0 during the regular season when they hold teams under 90 and 6-0. when they hold teams under 100 points. So that's what they did last, the other night. But I got to give it to the coaching staff. I feel like the coaching staff came in, made great adjustments, kept Wembeard, away from roaming around with Caruso,

keeping them inside the paint. But yeah, man, OKC, I feel like, you know, they got one. They did what they were supposed to do. They are down some players, but I'm not counting OKC out of this. McCain didn't shoot well. Caruso didn't have a good game.

either he didn't shoot well either so those shots will fall back at home this is a this is a championship team and you know they are 9 and 0 when they do lose a game so you know I can see them winning game 5 being 10 and 0 so this is going to go 7 they're fine and yeah I wouldn't put too much on it so no jaylin williams no a jitchell game 4 a j mitchell already ruled out for game 5 jaylon williams question but like we talked about these hamstring injuries can be very tricky the spurs defense held the thunder with 33 from the field, 18% from three. Do you feel like that's going to be an issue now heading into the game fight?

Because they're locking up. I mean, both physicality, whatever we want to say. I mean, both teams didn't shoot well, so at the end of day. So I'm just taking it like that. Both teams issue well, and McCain's, he's going to knock down shots. So, yeah, it was joyful, joyful. Last but not least, our resident Spurs fan, Dr. Rashon McKin's PhD. That was easy.

Biggest takeaways from the Spurs game. for went over the Thunder. Memories from yesterday. Seeing that I'm the only spur supporter here, as you just hear a bunch of crying and cry babies and excuses and explaining and a bunch of shit that don't make sense when we're going to talk hoop, right? We're going to talk hoop for a second. The beginning of the season, middle of the season, and near the tail end of the season like you brought up,

the OKC Thunder was a full-on football team. Full-on. everybody complained about them being a football team why is they why can they play so aggressive with us on defense and we can't touch them on offense that was the complaint all season every team we can't guard them but they can guard us they can hold us lewd dort is the castle okay i'm trying to i'm so confused lou dort is literally a hall of famer football player

castle may be pro bowl but lu dort is a hall of famer So now that it's even, no one likes it. Game two, Harper and Fox didn't play. Do you remember that really correctly? Two guys didn't play. They lost that game. Then they lost game three. There was no excuses on our part about not having our two ball handlers.

I had nine turnovers. 11 in the first game, nine in the second game, a total of 20. The last two games, he has two with two turnovers. Two total. Okay, that's called an adjustment. I think I was fighting tooth and nail against two motherfucklers on this couch about making adjustments from the coach and not having the player just say, no, I need to do better.

No, we need to take the ball out of your hands, allow our primary ball handlers to handle the ball, and we're going to get better results. Game four looked a lot better because we made an ultimate adjustment after Greg Popovich came in and told everybody you're playing like punks. Even Mitch Johnson. You're coaching like a punk, Mitch. Get out of this double team shit.

Let's stop doing that. Let's stop double teaming SGA because, listen, he can't really get by our guys like that, especially if they play without fouling. Number one, the big adjustment when you're talking hoop is we're now going to close out on all of their shooters. The shooters that were making those shots before were not making. those shots this time because of close outs. We stop the gap. We call it elbows and boxes. Play close to your guy, shoot the gaps, close out to your man and make him do what? Make them drive to the paint. Guess who's in the paint when you drive it? The Terminator. You don't even

want to shoot now. Now when you watch the game back, you see everyone driving from closeouts and then kicking again because Wimby's down there. Ultimate adjustment when you talk at who? Offensively, we don't need to shoot the ball that well because our main guy made his own personal adjustment. How to get your team involved more is for you to be more aggressive. 33 points. We're talking about ultimate aggression against two guys who don't want no parts of you.

Let's even it up. Scott Foster, I appreciate you. Because we got Tony brothers tonight, so we already know it's a different side of the coin. But when you want a referee to let the game go the way it's been going all season long, Scott Foster let the game go. He let everybody play. Do you remember that? You just flash out to a 15 to nothing lead. and from that point on at home, you get outscored 123 to 93. From that point on, at home,

you got outscored by 30 points. And the alien managed four total rebounds in that game. Did his production go up from each game? Did it go up? What are his averages? Want me to tell you his averages? Four. He got four rebounds in a whole basketball game.

and rebuild the Knicks to not only a contender, but a team that can take a guy that's under 6 foot 2 and make him a number one option and take it to the finals. And I think, I think there's a lot of people who said that Jalen Brunson should have went to Houston Rockets and played a third position because that's the only way he's going to be a contending championship player. I pushed back against that.

That guy named was Gilbert Arenas, by the way, that said that. And a lot of guys cooperated that like Jalen Brunson is too small because there's only two other guards that small that can take their teams to the finals and win. And I was against that. I think that Jalen Brunson is not only a champion and a leader, but he wants to win. He grew up with a father that had that same spirit. And I think that when you have that type of leadership, you can take it anywhere you want to take it. And he's been determined. He's not been faltered by any of the praise that he's been getting.

He's had this discipline and this focus on the goal at hand. To Brandon's point, as far as Kat being the main guy, I would say, it would be McKell Bridges. I think McKell Bridges is shooting like 69% right now after his crazy trash start that he had with the playoffs. We didn't know if... Talking about Benzum, right? Yeah, if he didn't, we didn't know, like,

if they could win without him playing good basketball, but they was able to weather the storm and wait on him because basketball is a game that you're going to have your slumps and you're going to have your hot streaks. And I think right now when you know how to... to play the game, get to your spots, and you have a coach that can adjust the team concept around having you get more comfortable and getting those comfort zones and making shots and making plays, the game comes to you. And I think that's what's happened with McKell Bridges, where

right now he is the wild car. He is the guy that you have to look out for when you got Kat and Brunson both playing unselfish basketball. Neither one of them are trying to go for 30, 40. They're out there trying to figure out how the team can best focus around winning the game no matter what. We're looking at the first series that they had, they had like a 30-point win or a 51-point win against Atlanta. Then they beat Detroit. No, was it Detroit? About 30? And then they ended up beating this team by too much.

And I think that comes from knowing what the goal is. Our goal is to get this done no matter who gets to shine. And you look at the NBA Cup, who were the two teams in the NBA Cup? Spurs Knicks, two teams I picked. So if it wasn't for Josh Hart, I would have never jumped ship, you know. And now Josh Hart got a little thumb hurt and he's regretting doing the thumb shit. But after that, all the Knicks fans, the Stephen A. Smiths, Josh Smiths, Steve Smiths, all of them. they're cheering right now because the Knicks are finally back in contention to do something they haven't done in a very, very long time.

And I think it's deserving. I think all of those fans deserve it. I think Jaylon Brunson deserves it. McKell Bridges, Josh Hart deserve it. I think Kat deserves it. I think O.G. Onobey deserves it. I think Mitchell Robertson deserves it. All of those guys deserve exactly this moment to be there.

But like Kat said, the job's not done. They want to get back to work. They don't want to be complacent and try to take this energy on and where they are and how they got there. They just want to go and get the job done.

And I was very happy for my brother, Stephen A, because he has been lifelong born and raised in Queens. Nick's fan and and he suffered a lot, man.

It's been a lot of suffering and a lot of near misses just even to almost, almost get there. And when I look at what just happened, they just went on an 11 game tear unlike any I've ever seen in all my years of covering the game you guys

played at the highest level. I've never seen anything like this because this was the all-time buzz and they buzzsawed these teams in half. And we can question the competition in the East, and that's valid to me. But you can't question what they were doing to the competition, which is, as you said, the three close-out games. And it's just ridiculous what you're doing when you win close-out games on the road

by 51 and 30 and 31. It's crazy. And when I look at what you've done for the whole playoffs, you've shot 40% from three for the entire playoff run. That's impossibly great. And when Shamit's coming in, making 11 of 12 and shooting 60% from three for the whole playoff run, that's insane.

You talked about Bridges, who's the X-Factor. The last nine games, he's played the greatest nine straight games of his lifetime. And I'm looking at Kat. He's 49% from three for the whole playoff run. That'll work. McBride comes in, makes 43% for the whole playoff run. So I've never seen a team off being down 2 to 1 at Atlanta

catch fire and stay on fire for as long as the Knicks have stayed on fire. The turning point of the whole run was game one against Cleveland at home. When they're down 22 with 7 and a half left, it's just, it's over, man. My wife's a Knicks fan. She's born and raised in New York. and she walked through and looked at the score about seven and a half minutes left, and she said, well, that's it.

They're done. And I said, I don't know. It's James Harden. You know, like, to your point, man, he's had so many flameouts in his postseason career. And here they came and they broke Cleveland's will. And then last night, as Josiah pointed out,

I thought maybe Donovan wanted to play last night and it's eight to two. And then, no. So last night in the first quarter, the Knicks had 15 fast break points in the first quarter, and they had 26 by halftime. So here's the point. Look at the Thunder, the best defensive team through the regular season in basketball. They allowed 11 fast break points per game for the whole 82 game season, 11 per game. And, wait, Cleveland gave up 15 in the first quarter and 26 by halftime.

For once, I agreed with some of the charge. Markley said, because he did the definition at half time of quitting is the cavaliers. Well, it was. So it's hard to put huge stock in the quality of the opposition, but what they're doing is just, it's never been done before like this. No matter who, if they're playing college teams, it's never been done like this before, where you just obliterate the opposition, where it's over after a quarter, every time, every game except for that game won, it's over after a quarter. So, and to all your points, you're not hitting on five cylinders,

When did that the little guard can't win a championship stuff started happening? Like when did that become a thing? When Gil said it? Oh. Becky Hammond, I think. Back in 2023. Because IT or something? Because I Zelle Thomas?

So Isaiah Thomas and stuff. You're talking about little IT, Boston Celtics? He was cooking. He was averaging 30. He could have, he looked like Bronson a little bit. Yeah, they play similar. Yeah. In the record, I mean, it's odd to see like a 6-2 guard, 6-1 guard win it all, and be the number one option.

So for Isaiah, yeah, he did his step, 6-2. You know, that's why I say AI, he got there, but, you know, he didn't win it. So it is rare. That's the guy, the number one option. This would be rare. I mean, I don't know if the Knicks can, ooh, I don't know. We'll see. You got to be really good as a little guy.

Like, when you played, were there? Ever nights when you felt like I wish I were four inches taller? Did you ever, did bigger guards take you where you just said, God, I mean, to me, you're tall, but you're not? Yeah, no, those Wessel Rush Brooks, those D. Rose, they've been, like, D. Rowe's 6'4, like, those bigger guards, like, even Gil, like, he was bigger. He was. Those bigger guards to me, of course. Like, right when I got to the league, the first player took me right to the post was Chauncey Billups and Jason Gil. Oh, God.

So it's like, you know, no, fella, we ain't. running around all night. We're not going to do all that right here, get to, go sit down. So those were definitely moments in my career where I was like. I thought it's trying to see, like, 6.4. 6.4? Yeah, like 6.4.

Bridges is a great long wing defender where they can help. It's almost like San Antonio, you're talking about stunt and recover. You know, they're good at doing that for Jalen

where he can kind of stay in the middle of it and not get exposed exposed, where we're suddenly like Hardin in the comeback game where they're just, he's got no help, and he's just here, go at him. Yeah, yeah. Okay, so Jalen can be a little bit of a defensive liability, but they have figured a way to cloak it,

to disguise it or cover for it. There's a difference. There's a difference between I don't want to play defense. Yeah, that's true. And I can't play defense, right? So I'm not going to say Jalen can't play defense, but he actually is out there moving his puppies. He's actually trying to put his chest in front of the offensive player.

He's buying into the team concept of rotating, getting out to the shooter, pressuring him. Like, he actually tries to play defense. And I think that's the difference between him and any other point guard outside of SGA, because SGA does try to. He's not no let you go. The stuff that James Hardin was doing, like, the stuff that Luca does. Those two, though.

You know, those are guys that just like, you're going to out, you've got to outplay me. You got to outplay me. And I think with the competitiveness of a Jalen Brunson being that small, It was similar to a guy like Isaiah Thomas and a guy. Like even Steph, Steph was never, I'm going to let you go right past me because he knew Dreman was back there like, yo, I need you to give me something so that we all have room to rotate. And Steph led the league when you're in steals because of that, which is.

But is that really considered leading the team by yourself, Steph? Who? Like leading. No, I would, I'll push back against that. I too. I didn't like that. the team. But he led the team in scoring, which is that's why they're like a smaller guard

that can lead the team in scoring to the championship. That's what they're considering. Like Isaiah, like you said, with Johnson being 6364, you're not going to put him in that category. But if them are the only two players, you've got to, you know, we've got to say that's what it is. But I know what you're saying as far as he had more help than anything. Like, I'm thinking like Iverson team type of.

How are you too small for me at 6-3? I'm talking about him guarding. He got a guard. Not about who's the whole team defensive concept. When everybody would be like, oh, you match up. That's what Mike Brown is a genius when it comes to covering for the guy just like he did with Deer & Fries. So what's going to happen if they play against the Spurs? When all four guards can go.

What you mean? As far as offensively? No, defensively. For him defensively. I feel like Jalen Brunson is getting, because he's not going against nobody. He's going to line up. He's going to line up against whoever's attacking him and we're going to make adjustments as a team. If the Knicks played as far as it, it's going to be a lot.

They're going to win it. The Knicks play the Spurs, they win the championship. The Knicks win it? Yeah. Mm. But why? They got everything. That the Spurs, they got length.

Like, he's going to have to guard somebody if he's playing against the Spurs. That's what Cleveland didn't do.

They didn't make him guard. Well, they don't have. They had two guys that they can make them work. Well, they don't have like the Spurs. The Spurs are young and they're like, bro, they come. Yeah, they're going to go down there and get, yeah, and they're more athletic than he is. It's going to be tougher for him athletically. Yes, I'm too.

If he's going downhill on Jalen Brunson, he don't have the power or athleticism to get over Dylan Harper or Castle. Yes. Or Vaseel, when you got to switch off on them and it's just catching go. And they're not, Castle is not a shooter. But we're not talking about it. What do they do? They just go to the rim and just jump over you. And then he got to come back down and guard.

And it comes across as cliched and like he's ducking the question. But no, I think he really believes in the team around him. Because I think he learned some hard lessons a year ago, two years ago. he can't do it all by himself because he tried several times. And again, he's not the biggest guy. And if you go J.B. or bust, there's going to be a lot of bust because it's just too hard on him.

He can't just take completely over a game flying solo. And this is a basketball team, man. And he's thanking everybody around him because they're all shooting 40, 50 percent from three. So the ball is moving, cats moving the ball, facilitating, and it took some onus and focus off Jalen Brunson, and he didn't flinch about it. He doesn't mind it at all. And Shea Gildjus Alexander has a lot of that in him. That's been a big reason for Oklahoma City success. It's one for all, all for one. And with Jalen Brunson, he is the leader of that team, but he's a big reason for Oklahoma City success.

He doesn't want to be the focal point of that team, and I respect him for that. That's why they're so good is because, you know, with the Lucas of the world, he's got to be the man. And Jalen Brunson doesn't have to carry himself like I'm the man here. They're all the men, and he knows it and learned hard lessons that way. So I just appreciated the way he handled it last night, and it validated to me. what a force they've become, despite the lack of competition, which I agree with you.

But they've become a force because he's such a forceful leader of that basketball team. And if you came out of nowhere and all of a sudden the city's at your feet, that city, the greatest city in the world, even though I love L.A. I understand.

I chose. I lived in New York for 20 years, and I'm here. And I want to stay here. But again... I'm about to get your ass with me. Some local crypt waiting outside. I understand. But the tag on New York is from Frank Sinatra on down.

It's like the greatest city. Frank, you know, he was a bill for L.A. life. Yeah, I got it. But the point is, it can just suck you in and drain you dry if you become a star in New York and you're not ready for it. because it is kind of like a small town and how tightly built it is. It's so contained

and everywhere you're going to go in Manhattan. It's you, you, you, you, you. And Jalen Brunson hadn't fallen into that trap to me. He's still Jalen Brunson, and the more they win, the more humble he gets. And I appreciate that because that's rare to me. It sounds like you was just describing some work, I bet, in New York.

You know, I think it's, you know, I do love that he knows this about his team and about the city because it's going to just help him in a long run.
