Wednesday was no different as the team opted to play a very questionable April Fool's prank

on one unsuspecting fan or so we thought. So let's take a look at the video if we can't please. So the Wizards gave the fan a chance to win 10,000 racks if you could hit a blindfolded half-court shot. As expected, the fan missed badly. But the team pretended like he made the shot as the mascots on the court celebrated with him. So the fan was then handed a big $10,000 check and shown a replay of the shot, which obviously did not go in where he realized he had been the victim of a prank. It was not actually getting the $10,000.

So according to reports, the fan did end up getting an autographed jersey and some court side seats for next season. But it turns out there were some tomfoolery amongst us. So in response to the backlash, the prank received the Wizards put out the following statement today. They said, we apologized for last night's April's Fool's joke that left many wondering if we had misled a fan. The skit involving our mascot and other members of our performance team was scripted and intended to celebrate the day. All participants were in on the joke, but we missed them mark. Our fans are our priority, and we continue to be committed to providing a positive experience to all who attend our games.

Spurs were back in action Wednesday on the road against the Warriors as Wendy continued his campaign for his first MVP with San Antonio looking for their 10th straight win.

Spurs entered the matchup with four straight. row wins by 25 plus points, which is the longest streak in NBA histories. The Warriors were short-handed to say the least missing nine rotation players in the game, including Chef Curry, and the alien took advantage to make Golden State look like some April Fool's as well. Let's take a look at the highlights, if we can, when we got to work early and often scoring 10 points in the first four minutes of game action. He put up 17 points, nine boards in the first quarter alone. Don't look at this line up.

After coming through with 41, 16 boards and three blocks against the Bulls on Monday, San Antonio got their 10th straight win improving to a league best 26 and 2 since February 1st. And 15 and 0 in the last 15 games that Wimby's played in.

So after the game, Wimby pulled up the Sports Center with Scott Van Pelt. SVP asked Wimby how important it was to him to be recognized is the best player in the league, and he offered this response. I think that all the grades, you know, that are in the Hall of Fame or that are in our mind the best of all time, they have fought and grabbed everything they could grab early on in their career, you know. And if I want to make my spot among the grades, I got to try to not miss any occasion I have to put my name up there.

He has been playing well all season and as of late. You know, they're going to be a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. Young Corps. So, and he's leading that. So I'm excited to see where else it goes. what other accolades that he could put on his shelf other than defense's player the year because we know that's going to be a staple for him.

So you got to somebody's going to have to do something amazing to take that award away from him. I don't know what that's going to tell. But people don't seem to have voters fatigue with that though. Interesting. But they do with other things. But it's need there nor there. But yeah, no, man, he's not.

But to be in a locker room and to have someone put together a scouting report for the next opponent, especially you've got a good organization and a good staff that you are over-prepared for what the team is going to be.

2-9 and all of these different things are part of the terminology in the NBA so when you got teams that don't buy into that you see bad defense right but then you know that the coach is like JJ JJ jay knows the terminology he knows how to put guys in position but if those guys ain't executed and he looked bad. So when you look at an organization like Ms. Johnson, he's coming back from having a successful tier of Coach Popovich having a system

of this is how we've done it, this is how we prepared, this is how we were successful, this is what you need. When you take that and you go with it, the players come in knowing that this is the formula, so you don't go against the formula. You're not going to have players, we're like, we should do this, so we should do that.

So Wembe coming in and seeing it, it's like, this is dope. Everybody actually does play defense. Then you go to other places that are scouting for you, and you're seeing that your opportunities are limited based on how they've scouted you. They're taking this away from me.
