You guys, we have had a few very hard hitting episodes.
Starting point is 00:00:41 You know, I was thinking this morning, it's so funny, because first we went from the girls who flooded everybody's algorithm, screaming at them that the devil is coming after them, and that they have to put their hands on their head, and it's real. You better 2 Corinthians 10 5 that. And now we're yelling at people to stop having sex, stop sitting. And it's real. You better stop. But it's, we'll just take a day today and just have a little fun. You guys, I can't get over the video of me being like, I stay in a bubble. I don't listen to things. I'm like, I look at Angela the other day. I'm like, have I, do I sound like I've gone mad?
Starting point is 00:01:23 No, you don't. You know what? Maybe to some people, but to the right people, you don't. And all that matters is that we speak the truth in love, because that's all we can do, and that's what we're called to do. So basically, you guys, today, first of all, hi. I love you. I love you. How are you guys? We are about, actually today that we're filming. It's April 15th. It's actually my brother's birthday. So say happy birthday, Nerys. We are a month away
Starting point is 00:01:56 from our first GGB live show tour in Atlanta. We're going to put everything in the description. We're already like on our way to being sold out, which is so crazy. I can't understand it. I just, all I know is I love you guys so much. God, we love you guys so much. So if you haven't gotten your ticket yet, please get it. This is going to be the first night. It's going to be so special for us because it's going to be the first time we ever do
Starting point is 00:02:20 something like this. We need you guys as support because we might fall. We're just going to cry though. I'm so'm so scared we're gonna cry the whole time we're gonna be so overwhelmed seeing you all of you guys so please get your tickets and come meet us in atlanta georgia carpool get a oh my gosh did you guys hear that are you okay did that hurt yeah can you guys please come to the show if you feel bad can you guys please come to the show if you feel bad for me? Can you guys just come to the show? So today we're just going to do like an ask me, ask me anything. We put up a box and so we're going to get to all your guys' questions.
Starting point is 00:02:59 But how are you, R? I'm good. How are you? Actually, you know, we wanted to tell you guys a story. Angela, we've said this a bunch of times, but Angela is a Muay Thai fighter. I've trained Muay Thai. Okay, you're a Muay Thai. I've trained Muay Thai. But I actually, I've never seen her fight, so I actually, she's like, listen, she's like, let's take Muay Thai fighting together.
Starting point is 00:03:22 And it took you, like, the third time to get me to actually go. And I'm like, all right, I'll go with you, you know? I knew she was going to love it. You guys don't even know. Princess Diana right here is the scrappiest. Like, you guys don't even know this side of her. I knew what she was going to be like. She comes and picks me up in professional boxing shorts.
Starting point is 00:03:41 They're Muay Thai shorts. You guys know, if you know what Muay Thai shorts are, they're a little, they're funny. She was like, what are you wearing? She's got no shoes on. I said, because you go barefoot in Muay Thai. So I was wearing sandals. She goes, where are your shoes? What are those shorts? She comes in like a fighter. Like she's got like the muscles, the boxing. Okay, the muscles, please. I don't describe it like that. You know I hate that.
Starting point is 00:04:14 You know I hate when you do that. Don't use these things to describe me. I'm never going to go out to eat again. You're so brave. Can you tell them? Okay, okay, okay. Okay. So I'm like, I say in my mind, I'm like, I'm about to be like Kill Bill today.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Like, I'm not going to complain. I'm not going to act like a little feminine girl. Like, I'm actually going to be scrappy like the Weymouth, Massachusetts girl that I am. And so we go. And so we each have to take turns. She has to hold the, um, what are they called? The pads. And so first let me say, you guys are, there are so many things that I'm proud of you for. Like truly, I could go on and on about her pride. Nothing has ever made me more proud than holding pads for her, training Muay Thai for the first time. Your hook was so good. Your kicks were insane.
Starting point is 00:05:11 You were so good. I couldn't believe it. But I couldn't do the. She was struggling with her hook. Yeah, I was struggling with my hook. I just don't know. That's where she goes. That's where Angela goes. She's like, she goes Sorry Angela goes She's like
Starting point is 00:05:28 she goes do like this she goes and she goes so when you do it like kind of make a noise You have to let out air like make a noise
Starting point is 00:05:35 No no I'm like okay I'm like I go you don't have to do that shh, shh, shh. And so I'm like, okay, I'm like, ha! I go, you don't have to do that. And so I'm like, I was doing karate. So then this girl goes, so it's my turn to hold the pads. I didn't know that holding the pads was going to be so hard, right?
Starting point is 00:06:03 I have never. She would always talk about, no, listen, like, I'm tough. Like, I've been fighting for a long time. Oh, yeah, okay, sure, Ange. This girl, I'm trying so hard to act like I'm not dying inside. She's punching and kicking and taking the wind out of me, you know? Well, because you were doing such a good job holding that i forgot it was your first time you were really that good i swear you're the
Starting point is 00:06:30 toughest girl i've ever seen these muscles dude don't do that you know you know how i get angela it's good like you're freaking fit so then so then she's um so so i'm sitting in there i'm trying to be so mentally tough like and she keeps saying like are you okay like this is your first time it's nothing. She goes, what? She goes, the guy, the coach keeps coming to help us because it's, like, obviously Ari's first time. He's in the middle of talking, and Ari's so nervous. She doesn't want to, like, interrupt him. So she goes very quietly, hey, is this okay? She shows me her arm in a claw like this.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Her fingers are shaking. I said, Ari, what's happening? She goes, I can't open my hand. She was trying to be such a trooper. And I was like, lift up your finger. She was stuck with a permanent hook. She couldn't. It was really sad.
Starting point is 00:07:37 My finger. My fingers. She punched the bats on. My finger was a permanent hook. I couldn't. And it was going like this. It was shaking. I'm like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:07:48 It's good. It's good. So I'm holding the thing with the hook. And you guys know how sometimes I have a problem like doing the one-twos. Like I'm a little dyslexic sometimes. And she's going, one, two, three. And I'm like, one, two, three. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Anyways, it was. No, you were so good. I don't understand. These people are serious about this sport. We're going to get kicked out if we don't shut up. It's just so funny because you have taught me so many things in our friendship, and this was just another one of those things where I was just like, you were just like dragging me along, teaching me, spoon-feeding me the freaking Muay Thai fighting.
Starting point is 00:08:23 I did not spoon-feed you anything. You were so good. So funny. I didn't know that you were naturally that athletic. Truly. You think I am? Yeah. Hey, listen, when you grow up in Massachusetts,
Starting point is 00:08:34 anyone who's watching that's from Boston, you know you gotta be a little scrappy. You had to go fight? Dude, my girl is 5'2 with a six-foot attitude, I'll tell you. She really... Did you have to fight? Yeah, I did. You did? What happened was when I was in eighth grade, this girl went around and told a rumor to all, no, I was in seventh grade. She went and told all of the eighth grade girls that I was
Starting point is 00:08:56 talking like S about them and talking bad about their families. So one day after school, they cornered me and they put, got in a circle the eighth grade girls and I was in the middle of it and they were pushing me around my mom's gonna cry when she hears this she'll never forget it for the rest of her life oh she's in the I was in the middle and they were pushing me around and you know what I said that day I said from this day forward I vowed nobody will ever mess with me again so I became the aggressor from that point on. And nobody ever messed with you again? How do we like Angela's pigtails? I'm loving them today.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Oh, I can't wait to see clips every five minutes and be like, I regret doing this. I can't wait. You know what we always laugh about? We did a Christmas special, and Angela wanted to wear pajamas. You just said pajamas. I was like, my mom, that's actually in some pajamas.
Starting point is 00:09:46 That's beautiful. So she, all they had at Target was XXXL. So I got them because she was like, listen, like, we're wearing the striped pajamas. Like, I don't care what you said. Like, we already made it. I'm like, okay. So I come in a different outfit. She's so mad at me.
Starting point is 00:10:03 I was like, okay, I'll put it on. I was sad that we agreed. I was not mad. I was sad that we agreed to wear the pajamas. So I go, okay, I'll put them on. So I put the pajamas on. I'm floating in these. I have a rubber band tied.
Starting point is 00:10:20 There's clips everywhere of me just floating in these striped Christmas with the red book. I'm in a bubble, man. You're a bubble man? I'm in a bubble, man. So we actually have really, you know, whenever we do a question box, I always hope you guys ask some juicy things. Because while we bleed a lot out, there's also like some things that you don't think to tell unless somebody asked you ask you you guys don't want to know anything about us all you want to know is how to get over a broken heart and how to deal with addiction and you know what that's what
Starting point is 00:10:57 we're here for we thought we were gonna have to answer some hard-hitting questions I thought you guys were gonna be like what's your favorite color? Like, what's your favorite food? Or, you know, did your dad leave you when you were five? What is your favorite food? I don't know. What is my favorite food? Your favorite food? Oh, I know what your favorite food is. Well, obviously it depends on the week.
Starting point is 00:11:18 This week, it's been, I've been on eggs, avocado, and sweet potato, for anyone wondering. No, your favorite food is roasted chicken, no sauces on eggs, avocado, and sweet potato for anyone wondering. No, your favorite food is roasted chicken, no sauces on it, and a sweet or a Japanese potato. I love the Japanese. And carrots, no sauces on it. Roasted carrots. That's right. That's your favorite food. Yours is literally anything. I love everything. I could eat all day. It's just's just well I'm happy you have your appetite back as you went through a hard period where you weren't eating much sorry that was nobody's business I'm so sorry but what is my favorite if I had to pick one thing like if we were what steak steak frites and mashed potatoes. Sliced.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Bring it to her slice. Don't make my girl slice it herself, okay? She will wreak havoc in the restaurant. With the Japanese sauce. Do you have a cat? What's on your... I don't know. It's split ends.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Okay. So we wrote down a lot of questions. So we're just going to go. Okay. How to stop cursing. How? No. How did you stop cursing?
Starting point is 00:12:32 What was the moment for you? Do you remember? I kind of remember. I think the moment for me was, it was honestly, the more I submitted to God, the more I just wanted to please him and the more I did it I felt convicted I couldn't I I physically couldn't speak like that anymore because it didn't feel good for me because I was so close to him what about you well you and I were kind of in it together with this but I remember before we even got like real conviction for swearing, we started to, like, because I had a swearing problem and you had a swearing problem. The second we became friends, we had a really bad swearing problem.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Do you remember? Oh, do I remember my mouth? I was really bad. Honestly, I sounded like a truck driver. It was a bit. Who was worse? I think we were equal. Oh, you were definitely worse.
Starting point is 00:13:24 And mine really ended up becoming friends with you really bad. But we before we even got like conviction from God, we started saying like, dude, this is embarrassing. We have to be ladies and clean up our language. And then honestly, I think it was just I think I had a conversation with somebody who was talking about, I'll never, I'll, I'll, I actually remember the exact moment. I was having a conversation with somebody who was talking about this like really big worship singer who, um, nobody would ever know, but they like swear in their everyday life. And they said something along the lines of, it's just so unfortunate that somebody who has such a massive effect on other people
Starting point is 00:14:09 and their faith walk, they don't have the same, they can do so much for other people, but they don't have that change within their own heart. Like how can they affect so many people with the Holy Spirit in their work, but not let the Holy Spirit work in them? And I remember listening to that and being like, that's so crazy because I literally like my life is Jesus and I preach to people all day long about him and letting him change your life. But there's this massive part of my life. And I don't know, it's just as if I can't remember the moment, but it was as if I woke
Starting point is 00:14:42 up one day and I physically couldn't, just like you said, get the words out. Isn't it weird? Like everything that we stopped, I feel like it was, it hit us one day and then we stopped and then we never went back. Never, yeah. It's, and it happened to both of us at the same time. Yeah, I mean everything has happened to both of us at the same time. But honestly, but like you said about the not slipping back, it's really like we made the commitment and of course we've had slip-ups obviously um like in like the big ones will be obviously when we're angry or like when we get
Starting point is 00:15:16 fired up or something happens whatever but in everyday life like it's done like we've never I've never gone back I am fully committed it's funny though because when I hear people back at home swearing I'm like oh like is that what I sounded like it hurts to not in a judgmental way like I don't care all my friends still swear like it's not in a weird way but I know like I can't it just sounds different it's like the word the f word was like it was fluid within my vocabulary it was nothing now it just it's so crazy how it it like pierces you when you hear i'm like it's just it doesn't sound good yeah if you want to stop swearing truly just invite god into that area of your life and ask him and trust me the holy spirit wants a hold of your tongue like
Starting point is 00:16:02 it'll happen. How to be more secure in a relationship? Go ahead. Well, I'm not in a relationship. That's the number one way. Just don't be in one. That's fine. No, I think, I mean, to be secure in everything, including a relationship, your security first comes from God. So when you're secure in God and that's where you put
Starting point is 00:16:33 your identity, you're not going to be, you're not going to have a lack of peace in your relationship. You know what I mean? Yeah, a hundred percent. I think to add on that, when you put your identity in Jesus and you're also living within God's will, there's a trust that happens not in the person but in God that no matter what happens, as long as I'm in God's will, nothing will happen that God doesn't allow. You know what I mean? So nobody will be out there, you know, like messing, you know, how do I word this? No one will be out there you know like messing you know how do I word this no one will be out there screwing you over shooting the sheep sure nobody will be out there like screwing you over doing something behind your back like that's where trust issues come from a lot of the time um and you'll just know that if that person is for you you have nothing to worry about and if they're not for you God will have nothing to worry about. And if they're not for you, God will reveal that to you. Do you know what I always say? I love that you say that because I
Starting point is 00:17:29 always say, you know what? If I'm going to be with this person, I'm going to trust them. And the truth will always come out. It really will. As long as you're close to God, he will always reveal. And you always say that in your prayers. God, don't reveal to me. Reveal to me if this person's for me. Reveal to me if there's things that I can't see. And he will, and he'll do it very fast. And so, you know, as long as you stay close to him and you pray about it, the truth will always come out. The truth will always come out.
Starting point is 00:18:06 So the only time that I've been, I've never been cheated on, but this is the first time I've ever had, I guess, like a betrayal by a guy in a relationship. Um, this specific moment that something was happening behind my back and the power of prayer and the way that God what's done in the dark will always come to light. Like God literally through prayer brought this thing, like made this person confess something to me, and he probably would have taken it to the grave with him. It's really cool. So, and that was such a trust-building exercise with me and God that like, he will never leave us in the dark. It's true. If you're walking in his will, not a chance. And sometimes we're insecure about things just
Starting point is 00:18:39 within ourselves, and that's totally normal. I mean, it's totally normal to have feelings of insecurity and unworthiness, but we truly, for me, you guys, I say it all the time, but I really struggle with that. And I have found so much confidence in God, just leaning on him, talking to him. The closer, the closer you get to him, the more you stand in boldness, the more confident you are. It's really like, it sounds so, for people that are just walking into their faith, they're like, huh? And I used to be like, what do you mean? But seriously, I have so much confidence that I don't, I just don't lack that feeling of, oh, feeling of insecurity if I was to be with someone. That's why I'm so happy that I spent this past year alone just with him. You know what's so funny about your life and your weakness?
Starting point is 00:19:32 It's just a testament that the enemy will oftentimes, I think we've said it on here, attack your gifts, attack the gifts that God gave you. You having a lack of self-worth when you are somebody who everybody loves like everybody loves you if the people in your life love you so much and value you so much me being probably number one wants to hang out with you 24 hours a day even if we're pissing each other off a little bit like I'd rather be with you than not and so for you to have worth issues, like, doesn't make sense. You know what I mean? And so it's so funny.
Starting point is 00:20:07 The enemy attacks you in an area that's actually your strength. You are so worthy to the people around you. But sometimes you can't see that's ridiculous. But now you can. Thank you, Jesus. But it's also, like, that's why I understand people because it goes back to when you were a kid, what you were told, things like that. And you just grow up and your brain is wired to believe all the things you were told as a child.
Starting point is 00:20:30 It all starts there. So we have to do a lot of unwiring and a lot of talking to God to work through that. And so you can be secure in your relationship. So true. Right? Mm-hmm. This show is sponsored by BetterHelp. How is your social battery right now?
Starting point is 00:20:49 Mine is a little drained, if I'm being honest. I've been so busy, but grateful to be busy. But it gets a little harder to be social. It can be easy to ignore our social battery and spread ourselves thin, especially with social gatherings picking up after the winter. What's the right amount of socializing for you? And how do you recharge? Maybe you thrive around people or maybe you need some more alone time. Therapy can give you the self-awareness to build a social life that doesn't drain your battery. As you guys know, on my
Starting point is 00:21:22 personal journey, I signed up for BetterHelp, and it helped me tremendously. I got a Christian therapist who talked through with me all of my issues and just about life that I couldn't talk about with a friend. And I am the biggest advocate for BetterHelp. So I encourage anyone who is going through the hard times or just needs someone to talk to. BetterHelp is the answer. If you're thinking of starting therapy, give BetterHelp a try. Hmm. I didn't even see any of these. How to keep, what is it?
Starting point is 00:22:39 How to keep your faith when nothing seems to go your way. Well, I, I was just reading, um, I'm reading through Genesis right now and I was just reading. I'm reading through Genesis right now, and I was just reading the story. I was telling Ari about it the other day. I'm reading the story of Joseph and the life of Joseph. And if you guys haven't read the story of Joseph in Genesis, I really encourage you to just read all of Genesis because it's so good and the stories are so amazing. But Joseph, basically, long story short, has a very, very interesting life.
Starting point is 00:23:15 He's always had God's favor on his life. And then when he's about 17 years old, his brothers are jealous of him because he's his dad's favorite. And he starts having dreams that he's going to be basically the leader of his family. And he's going to be in charge of all of his older brothers. They all get really jealous. They sell him into slavery. He gets sold into slavery. And then he gets bought by Potiphar. And then basically Potiphar sees the favor that's on Joseph's life because it says that everything that Joseph does, he succeeds in because God's hand is on his life. And then Potiphar puts Joseph in charge of everything.
Starting point is 00:23:55 So he's like he goes and then basically Potiphar's wife has a crush on Joseph and then basically says that he tried, he tried like sexually assaulting her. That never happened. But then he gets put in jail. And then long story short, then he gets put in charge of everything in jail. And then Potiphar comes and gets him back out. So that's like his life goes like this the whole time. And he is in the worst circumstances of his life a lot of the time. And then he'll be in a really good circumstance. But the one thing, so good times and bad times are ever flowing and changing, and you have to go to the bottom, and then you can get to the top, and then you're probably going to get back to the bottom. It's just how life goes. But the one thing that's consistent throughout all that is God's
Starting point is 00:24:41 goodness and his faithfulness. And so I encourage you to look at your life in a way that you see, even through the hard times and the turmoil, God is still good in those times. And I imagine that you still have favor. You still have blessings. You know what I mean? So good. And so I look at my life. Not everything is perfect.
Starting point is 00:25:01 A lot of it is great. Some seasons are a lot harder than others but I always look to the past to see the good that God has done and then I look to the future and I believe his promises that he's going to do even more good in the future you know I think that's the beautiful thing about finding God is that you know you what I realize is like you we're all going to go through seasons and And when we go through these storms, when we go through these seasons where nothing is going right, you just got to ride it out. You just got to ride out the storm.
Starting point is 00:25:33 We're going to go through good seasons. It's like a roller coaster. We're going to go. But when we know who we're doing it with, it makes it a lot, it's a lot easier. Right. And I think I look like what the scripture that says, whatever the enemy meant for evil, God meant for good. I look back on the times where nothing was going right, where it was just brutal. And I look back and he really, he really made it for good. He
Starting point is 00:25:58 really worked everything out in there. Yeah, I was, was sharing this with with a friend of mine. I was like, you know, I used to sit there and be like, man, why do I have to go through so much of my life? Like, can I just catch a break? And I look back and I and I'm able to help and share, help people that some people won't be able to help because I went through it. And so everything that I went through, every storm I've been through, He's always worked it out for the good. Always, always. And He will. And just understand that the hard times are a part of life and keep praying. And this is actually the time to have the most faith because your faith is being tested. And God wants to see you have great faith even through these hard times and to focus on God's goodness.
Starting point is 00:26:50 And when you have that heart posture of focusing on God and being like, no matter what bad is happening right now, I know that God is good. There's so much favor that comes from that obedience. Like obedience isn't just in what you do. It's in what's in your heart and how you feel and your perspective on God. And if you're obedient to his word and believe his promises, you're actually going to probably get yourself out of that hard season even quicker. It's so true.
Starting point is 00:27:16 It's so true. How do you know when you have good friends? I always say who sticks by you when the going gets tough? This past year, truly the worst time of my life. And the friends that literally sat by me and never left my side, those are your people. Those are my people. Those are the people that I look at and say, wow, these are, they will, there's nothing like you need people. The people that are in your corner are the people that are literally just like your family who will never leave you.
Starting point is 00:27:56 No matter your moods, no matter your hard times or hardships, they're not going to leave your side when the going gets tough. It's the same thing with relationships. So true. What do you think? think I mean I agree with you I mean loyalty is at an all-time high for me you and I are both incredibly loyal um insanely like to the point where I just if I love somebody in there in my life like there's nothing that I won't do for you like I will literally drop everything at five o'clock in the morning to come kill a spider at your house, for example, you know, but, and I, and I, and I expect these things in return. If we're at that level of friendship, we talked about the other day, cause I asked you, we were in church and I was like, Hey, who's your Peter, James, and John.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Oh yeah. You know, because we all like, we have, you know, we have so many people in our lives and so many friends. But I think what's really important is having your core people who I would describe Peter, James and John as being one. Jesus is most trusted and most loyal, but also the ones who aid in him serving God the most. Like I think that like as now in lives, and especially where we're at in ministry, like, I think something that's really important to us is who's, they don't necessarily have to like know the Bible and help us with it, but who's going to help us in living out our purpose for God? Who's going to help us on that journey? Who's going to be refining in that way? And so what I look for in the people that I have closest to me is who's going to push
Starting point is 00:29:25 me closer to Jesus and who's going to make me more like Jesus, you know? Yeah, exactly. And who, and like Angela said, who can you trust? Who are the people that you can go to and tell everything to? And you know that they're going to keep it. Like they're not going to. Yeah. I love that so much. What has the Lord been teaching you? I think something that God has been teaching me recently is, tell me what you think about, it's so funny, everything that I say, you say, we're just the same, like we're on the same wavelength all the time because we're doing the same things. I feel like recently for both of us, God has been kind of, because we have kind of been thrust into this thing, right? And we have so
Starting point is 00:30:07 much on our plate and so many incredible opportunities and people want us to come talk places. We're very confused. We don't know why, but we're so grateful, but it's, we feel so much peace about it. And we know that it's, it's not us who's doing it. It's the spirit of God doing it through us. And that's why that our prayer every day is just empty us and fill us so that you can do your work and just don't let us get in your way, God. But sometimes when you like zoom out and you see how much you have coming up in the next few months, specifically, it can get a little bit scary and a little bit pressure and just anxiety of like, oh my gosh, I don't even know what to do first. Like, I don't know what, like, there's just so much. What do I, where do I even start? And I feel like God has been showing me recently that he doesn't like, yes, he wants us
Starting point is 00:30:57 to plan. And yes, he wants us to, of course, look to the future and plan our life. But he also wants us to focus on what he has for us in the present moment. Like I've noticed that whenever I look too far into the future and start thinking about something sooner than God wants me to, I'll get anxiety. And I've realized recently that that anxiety and that pressure that I feel, it means that I'm not ready to get there yet. God doesn't even want me there yet. For example, we had a situation just in business where we kind of had to make a tough decision. And everyone kept asking us like, when are you going to do it? When are you going to do it? When are you going to do it? And I would get so much anxiety when we would think about it. And I would be, and I heard God
Starting point is 00:31:39 put on my heart that like, you're getting anxiety because you're not ready. Yeah. It's not time yet. Yeah. So everyone kept asking, when are you going to do it and I'd be like I don't know whenever God says and I just put it away and then it was as if all of a sudden one day I got peace I got confirmation we went and we took care of it yeah you know and so if if you if there's an area of your life that you feel burdened in that you're worried and feeling like crushed by, it's because you're not supposed to be carrying it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So true, so true. Go ahead. No, I was just going to finish in saying because when you're walking with God,
Starting point is 00:32:16 there is an effort, not that everything's easy, but it's kind of effortless because he's carrying it, you know? Yes. I think about how I used to live my life, always depending on myself to make decisions. And that's one thing that I've really learned with God is you don't have to make the decisions on, you don't have to lean on yourself. And another thing is, is don't, I was someone who would call all of my 10 friends and get advice from 10 different people. And what should I do? And then I'd come.
Starting point is 00:32:47 She saw it. I used to call everyone else for advice. And instead, God's being like, no, I want you to ask me. I don't need you to go to her and her and him. I need you to sit with me in silence. And I need you to talk to me about it. And I'll give you the answer. That's one thing that he's really taught me.
Starting point is 00:33:04 That is so powerful. Can you just elaborate on that? Because I know so many people who will go to a hundred people, and it's beautiful to have godly counsel, but they'll go to all their friends before praying about it. Yeah, yeah. No, I was one of them. I didn't know how to make decisions. I'd be, and it would cause so much anxiety and stress. And then I'd go to all
Starting point is 00:33:26 my friends. Well, hey, what do you think I should do? And I'd sit back and forth in my head until I, you know, I, God was really like, I, you are going to be so confused in your life and you are going to live a life of chaos and uncertainty until you sit down with me and you figure it out with me. Because I'm the only one who has the answers. I just had to make a very big decision. And I didn't know what to do. And I had a lot of anxiety about it. And for a minute, I was straying away from him.
Starting point is 00:33:56 And I started to go back to my old habits of calling my friends and my dad and being like, what? And I heard him so loud say, sit down with me right now. And I did. And he helped me make the most perfect decision and everything worked out. And it was just one of those moments. Another thing, another thing I think God is really, well, there's two things too. One of them is it doesn't matter how qualified you are. I mean, if it's one thing I've learned, there's been a lot of things that we have coming up and a lot of big things. I mean, we're going to be speaking on stages and we have these podcasts that we're going, and sometimes I get really, I'm, I'm, I still don't, I don't feel qualified. I still don't understand it.
Starting point is 00:34:39 And sometimes I'm like, am I ready for this? Like, am I, is it okay? And I say this to you all the time. And it's, if God wants you to move, he, you will move. Like, you will know. Like, I know this is what he wants me to do. And so you don't have to always be so qualified and so perfect. And so if you're in the will of God and you're moving, don't question it. Just keep moving along in his will. And then the last thing I would say is never get too complacent.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Always stay hungry for God. You know, always stay hungry. Never get complacent. The minute everything starts going really good and you start just living your life and you don't start reading your Bible and you stop talking to him so much, it's, you know, you go back to old habits and always stay close to him. Yeah. I think one more thing that I've kind of been dealing with and you've seen it in me is like, I have had a while now where I'm, like, pretty good about controlling my thoughts. And I don't know what door I've opened or what I've done recently
Starting point is 00:35:54 to allow kind of the enemy just, like, wreak havoc in my mind sometimes. Like, I've been having thoughts that are so absurd and so, like, they don't even have a base. They're baseless. Like, they don't even make sense. There are moments where I'm, like, just about the podcast where I, too, feel incredibly unqualified. But almost to the point where I'll have thoughts, like, I'll be listening to myself and I'll just be, like, nobody cares. Like, shut up. Nobody cares. You're, like, no one cares what you have to say. This
Starting point is 00:36:28 isn't smart. You don't sound like nobody cares. You're not making a difference for anyone. Nobody's knowing Jesus better because of you. You know what I mean? And it's been really, I've had to almost like, it's just so funny that your faith walk, like you can think that you beat something and then God will be like, actually, I'm going to make you even stronger in this area by taking you through this. And I could easily say like, I'm getting attacked, which maybe I am, but I also have a piece in it knowing that God is refining me even through this, that I'm having to get even stronger in detaching myself from those thoughts that go crazy. And I think you were saying that when that was happening with the thoughts, what did you do?
Starting point is 00:37:07 You started walking around and really talking. What did you do? I will just start praying my heart out. Like walking and literally talking out loud to him. Yeah, no, I take them really seriously because I know what it's like to let them actually go crazy, and it can get scary scary and when you let your thoughts get out of hand sometimes you get to the point where like I don't even know how I got here and now I need other people to intervene because I can't even get back to where I was so I'll get up I'll just like interrupt the thoughts and be like no that's
Starting point is 00:37:38 not true and I'm not thinking that and that's and God chose me for a reason and this is this is it's not about me and how I and whatever. You know what I mean? Yeah. Can you describe the most impactful miracle you've ever experienced? My friendship with you. I know me too. Truly, my friendship with you has been the most impactful miracle I have ever witnessed.
Starting point is 00:38:02 If I've ever seen one. I mean, some some days I'll just be with you and I just can't believe what God has done I can't believe he brought you into my life I prayed so hard for for I actually was can you bring someone into my life maybe a partner maybe and he brought me he brought me I'm sorry he brought me my sister for life that I can just do not only life with, but ministry with, that someone who has helped me grow and teach me and someone who loves me. Like, I kept praying for love.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Oh, boy, did he bring me someone who loves me. I was like. It's absolutely amazing. And he will do that for you guys too. He really will. I know a lot of you guys just, just need friendships and a miracle and boy, he, he is going to bring you guys that. Just keep praying for it. I'm telling you, he wants to do in your life what he did in our lives by bringing you the one person that you can lean on and be your support and he will just keep praying he loves you so much and I was alone for for a while in it but it was necessary for me to be alone because I would have
Starting point is 00:39:16 never gotten to have that intimacy with him the way I did yeah how to control having OCD and a relationship with God. Yeah. Well, I wanted to say something about you at that because, um, I was actually looking at her the other day because you know how Angela, you know, you know how she is with the bars and stuff. But I actually had a moment of thinking it's actually to your benefit with your OCD because when you cut something, you cut it. And so with all the things you've had to let go of with your OCD, like once you cut it, you're done. You don't look back. And I've had some moments where I say, man, I wish I had a little bit of that OCD. Because it's like, it's actually incredible. And even with like the fitness stuff, like when she, like with the workouts, like she's very structured.
Starting point is 00:40:17 She's very muscular. This is a big girl. She's really a linebacker. She's been working out. Will you shut up? Okay. I don't want you to I'm not saying I didn't say you were muscly you're fit no but listen like she like you call her she's at the gym three times she she's very structured so like with the workouts you're you will not miss a day it's it's and if that's I would say that's a little bit a part of your OCD.
Starting point is 00:40:45 You won't miss it. Yeah, for sure. I just like, I love, I think that goes hand in hand with your relationship with God. I love you. It has, just like you said earlier, Genesis 50, 20, whatever the enemy meant for evil, you meant it harm against me. God meant it for good. He can take even the bad things about us and use it to our benefit.
Starting point is 00:41:06 We actually got a lot of questions about addiction and about being addicted to various types of things. And we'll get into that. But I heard someone say one time, and it was like the most profound thing I've ever heard. They said worshipers, or no, I'm sorry. They said addicts are the best worshipers because when you have an addictive personality where you become addicted and obsessed with something like what better way to have a relationship with God than to use that addictive personality and get addicted to Jesus that's what that's why I why do you think I go
Starting point is 00:41:42 so hard for Jesus it's how I'm wired it's gonna be something thank God for Jesus because otherwise God knows what it'd be you know what I mean so there's he uses even our weaknesses to our benefit he really does you guys but yeah I mean having OCD and really I will say my one thing is because there will be times like like tithing, for example. I love tithing and I love giving generously like it's a very big part of my life. And it means a lot to me because God means a lot to me and giving to his church is very important. Sometimes I will be like about to give and I'll be like, God, how much do you want me to give? And usually it'll be like, you know, sometimes it'll be more than what I would have thought. And I'll be like, God, how much do you want me to give? And usually it'll be like, you know, sometimes it'll be more than what I would have thought. And I'll do it.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Sometimes a number will pop up that is so outlandish. And I'm like, but it brings so much confusion. Now, if that number came into my mind and the issue with the OCD is then I'll be stuck on it. And I'll ask a thousand times, God, is that really what you want? And then, but if I heard a number, huh? I do that too. You do it too. Yeah. If, but this is the thing, if I heard a number and it came with peace and confirmation, I don't care how much it is, I would do it. But if it comes with that, like scary, like, oh, did he really say that? Are you sure? And it's confusion and anxiety. Like, I don't think that that's from, I know that that's not from God, you know? Yeah. God, I have OCD in a different way than Angela. I have OCD with my thoughts,
Starting point is 00:43:11 with overbearing thoughts. Like I've, I really believe God has worked so much in my mind and just, I, I don't want to say that I don't have them because sometimes I do. But what I was a year ago to now is... Can't even compare. You can't even compare. So for anyone who is dealing with the obsessive thoughts, the OCD thoughts, let God work through you. That was one of my prayers. Lord, help me with my thoughts.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Make them stop. I need help with them. I mean, because when I go through hard times, that's when the thoughts come and they just wouldn't stop. And so allow God to work through your mind and help you with that OCD because he will, and he will heal you. I love it so much. I mean, you did all the practices to get there, that you really did everything you were supposed to do. Which character in the Bible do you relate to most? I love this question. I would say I was definitely Mary Magdalene. You know, she is what made me, she is what gave me hope when I read her story,
Starting point is 00:44:21 because she was so tormented in her mind mind and she couldn't get the thoughts out. And, you know, in the Bible, in her story, it talks about how the demons were in her head, just constantly tormented her mind. And she had just been through so much. And I relate to that so much because I, you know, I had just the overbearing thoughts just tormenting me. And when I had the revelation of finding God and I was delivered, like when he turned to her and he said, you are mine and just took her in his arms, I had that moment with him. And when I had that revelation of Jesus, I never left aside and I stayed close to him and I will to the, to the, to the very end, you know? So, um, I just relate to her so much. Who would you, um,
Starting point is 00:45:14 I was actually thinking Mary Magdalene, but you know who I think maybe a little bit more Peter is like, I think I relate to Peter a lot because Peter was pretty reckless. Yeah. And he was like nuts. And he was a wreck in so many ways. And Peter was described as being like a little unstable. I wasn't unstable. Peter was like unstable and he was extremely impulsive.
Starting point is 00:45:42 And like I can really relate to being impulsive. Like I was super impulsive. I was not, can really relate to being impulsive. Like I was super impulsive. I was not, I didn't have that like calmness. I didn't have that patience. I was just like, you know, and that's kind of why my life was like a little bit of a tornado sometimes. And then I just, I think about Peter and how he used to be so chaotic and so reckless and so unstable. And then God turned around. And when he had the revelation of who Jesus was, Jesus gave him the name. I think it's Matthew chapter three. He gave him the name Rock. He gave him the name Peter, which means rock. And it says that the church
Starting point is 00:46:17 will be built on this rock and Peter would be the firm foundation like a rock. So he went from being unstable and chaotic to being a rock. And that's like such a sharp contrast between the two. And I, it just reminds me of me a lot that like God is so good and his grace is so great and magnificent that he can literally turn you from the opposite of what you used to be. And I used to be really impulsive. And in finding Jesus, I've become calm, patient. I think before I act and speak and do anything. And you know what I mean? And so and also I think about because Peter, he Peter is the one who denied Jesus three times in the Gospels when Jesus was going to the cross. And then you see later that Peter, I think in Acts chapter 2,
Starting point is 00:47:07 he does that really big sermon that brings 3,000 people to Jesus. And so he goes from denying Jesus three times to then giving one of the biggest sermons that brings so many people. And that's another testament of God's grace, where I used to be someone who I didn't like actively reject Jesus, but with my actions I did. And then to then do a complete 180 and be like, actually, I'm going to give my life up for him. It's just, I'm just thinking about when you were in my room, just this is like before I, like when we were first starting our journey, when I, I hadn't even read
Starting point is 00:47:41 the Bible yet. And you were like, I just, I just have to go make a video. Okay. And I just hear you in the room with your phone, making TikToks, being like, Jesus is our Lord and Savior. And let me tell you, I'd be peeking in the room. And I remember thinking, this girl's going to do ministry. Remember when I said that to you? You did. You said you were just in the phone. My approach back then too, I was so intense. I'd be like, you were just in the phone. I know. I was so. My approach back then, too, I was so intense. I'd be like, listen to me. It was so funny when you think about it. It is funny. You didn't even know.
Starting point is 00:48:12 You didn't even, like, know anything about any of it. And you were like, you're going to do this. And I was like, guess what? You're doing it with me. We're doing it together. So funny. We're doing it together. So funny.
Starting point is 00:48:30 A lot of people talk about modesty. What is your take on it? What is? Go ahead. I have had such a crazy journey with modesty. And I, you know, we did a modesty episode. And since then, we've even wanted to do an updated modesty so we can tell you how much we've grown since that video. And modesty has been such like a weird journey for me because I've had to like fight my flesh in a lot of ways and fight the
Starting point is 00:49:01 old ways that I used to act and like portray myself and it's not even just how you dress it's the way that you pose look whatever and I just want to say that like modesty is so incredibly important to me and like you know you see behind this there's just so many things that people don't see in conversations that they don't see and we don't know we don't owe anybody anything but I like it's huge for me and I'm I'm so committed to this journey of modesty like I really am and I I just don't want to let God down and I don't want to let God's people down and I just like I'm really committed to not even walking the line of immodesty yeah you know not even walking the line of immodesty. Yeah. You know, I, you know, it's so funny because I always thought I was modest until I started this. I really did. I was like, I love my style. You know, I always felt like I was, I had a pretty modest style, but you know, I, what I've noticed about my on my modesty journey is and it was it's in my eyes
Starting point is 00:50:08 like I look at photos of back then like a year ago and you can see the difference in my eyes because I'm walking right and and um purity and obedience um you can just see the, you can see the modesty in my eyes where a year ago in my photos, I was a little bit seductive in the eyes. So I think not only the way you dress, but, you know, the way you portray yourself in the eyes, the photos. And yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's been a journey with us and our modesty I think I'm proud of us I really am you know um we I'm just I'm just thinking like because it's modesty is it's I'm not gonna lie modesty is not easy like I it really isn't like there's I've really had to like there were things that I would wear that I was like wait this is a modest like I'm confused yeah but um
Starting point is 00:51:15 yeah we've had to it's it's definitely been been a journey for sure I I just I think where I still struggle being completely transparent is like sometimes sometimes I'll still it's just like there's such a like unbelievable contrast like I said between the life that was and the life we're living now the things I used to post and the things that I post now I've gotten to the point and I love it like I'm happy about it but I have such crippling anxiety every time I post on Instagram to the point where like down like down to anything just anything I just don't want to put I ask like 10 people before I post anything and I still accidentally post things that two hours later I'm like wait why did I think that was like there's some it's just so weird that sometimes your eyes, maybe it's because we just started.
Starting point is 00:52:07 You know what I mean? There's we've just started making these changes that sometimes I'm like, how did I let that one slip? Why did I think that was OK? It's like truly innocent. You know what I mean? And I get really down on myself when I make mistakes like that. And can I just say that you I honestly literally just said this two hours ago. You know, it's been really hard for me to see you be so hard on yourself because I have never seen such a transformation in so little time the way you have.
Starting point is 00:52:38 And you truly are a woman of God who has, you are modest. You are doing great. And, and so, I mean, I'm not even going to go there. I'm not even going to take out the earrings and start, but you, I just, it's, it's unbelievable. It is unbelievable. Thank you, Jesus, that I get to witness the transformation of what you've done, of how you've, and you are always just such a beautiful, beautiful girl, but seeing you in this purity and, and, and how, and how you want to just do right. You don't, you don't want to disappoint people. You just, you want to be, you, the thing with Angela is she just, she doesn't ever want to disappoint you
Starting point is 00:53:23 guys. And she's just been on this journey of like you should see her you guys have no idea like literally she'll post a photo it's not funny it's really not funny it's it breaks my heart but you should she'll post a photo and I don't know what will you be doing maybe you'll do like a little smirk and she'll be like is it okay no really is it okay like she'll dwell all day like there if there's one person who cares just so much about about you know disappointing you guys it's her like she doesn't ever want to stray you guys away or disappoint you guys so she's you just you should you should be so so proud of yourself and really like coming from you no I'm serious no I'm serious no I'm with a green sweater my green sweater pink deals talk about a transformation in someone who has literally
Starting point is 00:54:20 become the greatest role model for women of all time? You. You are. No. Is it pink tails or pig tails? You are the best role model in the world. You are. Shut up. You are. You are. How can I constantly feel God's presence in the low times?
Starting point is 00:54:41 Well, the, I think Ari and I always want to, like, whenever we talk about these spiritual experiences that we have with Jesus, we always want to preface it by saying that all of us are different in our spiritual inclination. Not all of us experience Jesus the same way. Not all of us experience Jesus the same way. Not all of us. Like we are a little bit Pentecostal and charismatic in our approach in our spiritual life where we do focus, not focus, but we have had very incredible spiritual experiences where God, where we feel the tangible presence of God. And I say all that to say that while that's beautiful and that's something that I do believe people, it's something you can pray for and ask for. I want you to know that that is not what your relationship with Jesus should be based on. It doesn't say in the Bible
Starting point is 00:55:36 that you're saved through your ability to feel God's presence in your life. It says that you're saved by grace through faith. So if you place your faith in Jesus Christ and you believe that he died on the cross, was buried and resurrected on the third day, you are saved. You are in Jesus. Jesus is in you. So do not let that be a deciding factor of whether you think that you're with God or not, because you are. Now, God or not because you are. Now, when you don't feel God's presence in the low times, I know that when the enemy has you in a bad time, when you're struggling, when you're suffering, when you're sad, he's going to use that struggle to plant seeds of doubt in your heart that God's not real. God's not with you. I need you to understand that in your hard times,
Starting point is 00:56:25 most of us do feel far from God. It's hard. That's why you need friends that'll pray for you because it gets hard to even pray for yourself. It doesn't matter what you feel. It matters what God says in his word that he is with you, that he dwells in you, you dwell in him, and the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that is inside your spirit.
Starting point is 00:56:43 And so just because you don't feel him doesn't mean he's not there. Now, there are things that you can do to cultivate that presence of God. I love speaking in tongues. I love my morning routine is probably like 30 minutes of journaling where I just let it out on the paper, whatever's in my heart. I just talk to him. And then I read his word. And then I get on my knees and I worship. And I'll just cultivate that spiritual experience where I'm speaking in tongues. I'm crying out to Jesus. I'm just talking to him.
Starting point is 00:57:16 And you spend time and ask Jesus, be like, God, I want to feel you. I want to feel you in the room. Fill the room. Fill my heart. Holy Spirit, give me a touch. And yeah, these are all things that you can do. You couldn't have said it better. It's truly intimacy. Not one moment. In my low times, now that I look back, as soon as I called his name out, he was there. He gave me that peace that surpassed all understanding. He truly did. Did the pain go away? Did I still have to suffer? Yeah, I did. But you know what? There was never a moment when he wasn't there for you.
Starting point is 00:57:52 So just because, you guys, you're going through some really tough times does not mean he's not there. And so, like I said, there's going to be seasons where it's going to be rough. There's going to be times where he's not going to take the pain away, but he's with you. And that alone should be enough for you to give you that little seed of faith to say, you know what? It's okay. He's with me. He cares for you.
Starting point is 00:58:19 And he is helping you. And he is behind the scenes on it. And he is healing you. And he is building you. And he is, he is helping you and he is behind the scenes on it. And he is, he is, he is healing you and he is building you and he is developing you and he's doing everything he can, whatever you're going through, he's behind the scenes on it. So now when I'm going through these times, I'm saying to myself, he's, he's, he's doing something. He's, he's, he's working on something. He's building me. There's something he's doing. So I'm able to sit back and kind of rest and not be so shaken up by life. Yes.
Starting point is 00:58:52 When you know you're not walking through it alone, it makes it a lot easier. So true. You're able to just kind of just walk through even though it hurts. So true. You're not alone. That alone, when you know you're not alone in those should just, that alone, when you know you're not alone in those low times, that should just, that alone should just comfort you so much. And one more thing about if you, if you're not feeling God's presence, I just want you to know
Starting point is 00:59:14 that the obedience in believing God's promises, even when you can't feel him, like, of course, if, if I'm being touched by the Holy Spirit every single day and I can just feel his presence in the room, like it's so easy to have faith when I'm having those encounters with Jesus. But it's in the wilderness where you can't hear him. Is he really here? I don't know where he's at. And you still choose to have faith and you believe his promises over your feelings and current circumstance. there is a blessing on that obedience that is truly going to be remarkable in your life. It's like that scripture, and it's such a short scripture, but it was the one scripture that I learned before I even read the Bible, which was walk by faith, not by sight.
Starting point is 01:00:00 Even if you can't see what's going on and you just can't understand it, you just have to walk blindly and have that little seed of faith of knowing he is going to work it all out for you. How to tell my boyfriend I don't want to have sex? I think you tell him proudly. I think what a beautiful thing. Honestly, now where I am in my life, when I am in a relationship, I mean, that's, do you know how proud I am of myself that I'm in this place? Because I was, I didn't, I never, I was, sorry, I didn't live like that before. So now I am so proud of myself that I fought through and I got to this place and I let my old self die.
Starting point is 01:00:46 And now I can like boldly and confidently walk in this path of purity. And I cannot wait to, to walk in purity with my partner. It's so good because that's the relationship that's going to last eternal. And that's, that's the relationship that God's going to bless. So be proud of that. Be so proud that you're, that you're walking in purity and holiness. Please, if there is ever, you guys need to understand something. And I never got it. Like I always thought it was so weird when people would say the relationship that God has for you, you would never lead you to sin. If there is a man who you're telling, I don't want, I'm not having sex outside of marriage. And he says, but why? And he's pushing you. That's not the person that God has for you. I never understood it because I
Starting point is 01:01:35 was always like, but what if they don't know? But no, whoever God has for you is going to be a man who respects the fact that you want to honor God in this way. And I'm telling you, please, just like Ari said, be proud, be bold. We're telling you right now that don't let the enemy put in your head that it's embarrassing or weird. It's not. And we're telling you from experience that actually it's like a confidence thing where I'm like, no, you don't just get to do whatever you want right now. It's a beautiful thing, and men will respect you for it. I want you to know.
Starting point is 01:02:09 And women will respect you for it. And if they don't, got to go. That's all we have to say. And do not let their โ€“ they're not okay. When you don't know that you're not supposed to have sex outside of marriage, there's something not completely right. You're not right with God. Pray for those people.
Starting point is 01:02:27 Don't let what they think make you feel less about yourself. Yeah. I love what Jenny Allen said when she came on our podcast was the way I knew if my husband was the one is did it fit in his will? And one of the things in God's will is, is he going to lead you to sin like you said? If he is even questioning you on having sex before marriage, you know that's not from God. And you can have the conversation. They might be someone who isn't saving themselves. And then if you bring that up to them and they're like, no, that's not for me, that's totally fine.
Starting point is 01:02:59 Respectfully, I'll see you later. But they might honestly be like, you know what? I was in a relationship and I brought it to the person and I said, I can't do this anymore. And they be like you know what I was in a relationship and I brought it to the person and I said I can't do this anymore and they said you know what I'm down to do that I'm down to go on this journey with you yeah you know yeah and it was a beautiful thing that it was amazing somebody asked do y'all think about other platforms well thank you guys for asking. Ari and I are actually starting a page on this place called Supporting Cast. And it's a platform in which we are going to do something called Girls Gone Bible Plus or GGB Plus. And it's basically just going to be bonus videos and content. And we don't know
Starting point is 01:03:41 what it's going to look like exactly. We're hoping to get it up and running in the next few weeks, but we're basically going to do videos kind of like a podcast, but much more intimate, probably at home in our pajamas. And it's going to be conversations that we don't, we tell so much on here, but there's just going to be more on supporting cast. We're really going to get deep because it's going to be such a smaller group of people. And it's going to be more intimate. And it's going to feel like one-on-one. We're going to feel more comfortable to be honest about things like our dating life, more mental health stuff. Just like real stuff that we just can't say
Starting point is 01:04:25 on here. Yeah. Yeah. It's going to, I am so excited because it's going to be like with your sisters on the couch. What are we not to take from the Bible? We take everything from the Bible. There's no one even little word that we don't take away from the Bible. Every little thing from that Bible is the truth. Revelation 22, 18 to 19 says, I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. Proverbs 35 to 6 says, every word of God proves true. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.
Starting point is 01:05:23 The Bible is very clear. and i know that there are things i before when i was a lukewarm christian i would say things like no like i love jesus and like i love like the lessons from the bible but like obviously no one is ark aren't real like you know what i mean like i would always be like i yeah of course like the bible is like nice like it's like a rule book like it guides you no every word the bible the word of god is compared to a double-edged sword it is cutting it is active it's alive and it does things to a human spirit it changes you it changes everything what do you think about denominations well it's so funny because when you first meet Jesus, when you first get saved and you first develop this relationship with Jesus, all you see is you and Jesus.
Starting point is 01:06:15 And then as time goes on and you try to find your footing in church or in different types of churches and you find your spiritual footing of like, what kind of Christian am I? What are the things I focus on? And I think what I've been really realizing through the past several months is that like, I understand now why there's so much division in the church. It's because everybody has an opinion on everything and everybody has a different way of doing things. And like, we've gone to so many different types of churches. And I've, you know, for me, I think I said earlier that Ari and I lean more towards charismatic and Pentecostal in our approach where we are focused on gifts, gifts of healing, gifts of tongues, gifts of teaching and evangelism and prophecy. And, and we are heavily, you know, impacted by the Holy Spirit and being in relationship with the
Starting point is 01:07:12 Holy Spirit and being in relationship with God in a way that gives us the ability to hear his voice and be like guided by him throughout our entire day. And so, yeah, there's, you have to find whatever's right for you. And I would, I would encourage you to look into that because, you know, you might be going, I think a lot of people fall away from church because they're actually just not in the right, at the end of the day, Jesus is all that matters. But I do think that you need to find your grounding somewhere that makes sense for you spiritually. There are some churches that do more for me than other churches do, that I feel more comfortable, that I feel more fed in going. And so I just encourage you to look into that and then find whatever church feels best for you.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Hope for someone with mental health disorder. someone with mental health disorder, I've, you know, I just want to say that we have these issues, like, you know, I was a prisoner to my thoughts, you are a prisoner at one point to your OCD. And then we label these things that we have, and we think that it's a part of us and that it's going to be the end of us. And I just want to let you guys know that whatever you're fighting again, whatever you're fighting through or whatever you think, whatever disorder you think you have, there's nothing that God can't heal. And I'm just such a huge advocate and telling you guys that because I was someone that God healed. I had many issues, like truly, like a truly, truly suffering in my mind and in just a lot of things I was truly suffering internally with. And God really, really healed me from that. And so I don't
Starting point is 01:08:55 care what you have, if it's bipolar, if it's OCD, if it's addiction, yes, God can break that. And he will. You just, we are what we feel that we are a prisoner to. I was such a prisoner to my thoughts that it became a comfort to me in a way. I thought that was going to be my life. And so I didn't, instead of fighting it through at one point, I let the thoughts get me. I let them take a hold of me because it became comforting. It became a part of my identity. Your bipolar, your mental health issues, whatever it is, your addiction, it isn't a part of your identity. And as soon as you can sit there and say, this is not my identity, God is my identity, and he can and he will fix it, just like he healed the blind man and just like he healed Mary Magdalene
Starting point is 01:09:45 and the woman with the blood issue. Don't think that he can't do that for you in your life. Okay, so I want you guys to have faith and I want you guys to have hope and I want you guys to draw close to him and ask him to help you with this and ask him to go into your mind. Go, Jesus, come into my mind and work on my mind. Help me. I don't want to be a prisoner to these thoughts.
Starting point is 01:10:11 I don't want to be a prisoner to these addictions. Be a prisoner to him. When you're a prisoner to God and you stay close to him and you build that, there's nothing like surrender and intimacy to him. And when you do that, he heals you from that. He will go into your mind and literally heal you from all of that. He will deliver you from all that, just like he did with me. And just like he did with Angela, he's going to do that for you too. We all are struggling with something. All of us. I am, she is, we all are. So I don't want you to be so hard on yourself. And I just want you to lean on God and let him work inside of you and heal those parts of you because he can and he will. And he will and he will and he will. And we're going to put some resources in the description box. You guys, you know that everything that is psychological is spiritual. There is a spirit behind every
Starting point is 01:11:07 issue that we face. There's a spirit of bipolar. There's a spirit of anxiety. There's a spirit behind schizophrenia. All these things are demonic and all of these things can and will, like I said, be healed by Jesus through prayer, through deliverance. Reach out to your pastors and your church and people around you. Pray for yourself. Don't stop praying for yourself. Take authority against these things, against these thoughts. Separate, like Ari said, separate yourself from the disorder. It is not you. It's not yours. Pray for yourself. This is not mine. I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and a sound, sound mind. And I just want to say on the topic of this, if it might be you that's
Starting point is 01:11:53 struggling with a mental disorder, or it might be somebody that you love, how do you have hope when somebody you love is struggling? And sometimes I can argue that it's so much worse when somebody you love is struggling, because at least when you're suffering, it's your suffering and you control it and you have a hold of it. When it's somebody that you love that's suffering, it's so excruciating, the pain, because you're helpless. You can't help that person. And I'm so sorry if you're going through that.
Starting point is 01:12:22 And Ari and I both have experience with loving people who suffer deeply with their mental health. And it's the scariest thing in the world. And it's especially scary when you've been praying for a long time and it feels like nothing is happening. But just remember that no matter how bad it is, God is still good. And nobody is too far gone to be saved. So never stop praying. Keep praying. Keep praying on their behalf. If they're not able to pray for themselves, don't lose hope. There is hope in Jesus and your loved one will be saved and will be healed. I believe it and I want you guys to
Starting point is 01:12:59 believe it. That's where true healing happens, when you believe God and his promises. I'm so glad you just said that because some people don't even know to, you feel so hopeless with people that you love that are really suffering. And you and I are so relentless with prayer. We pray every day for them. And, you know, we are seeing breakthroughs. So don't lose hope. There are breakthroughs. Maybe it's, maybe it's not exactly what you want to see, but no prayer is unheard. And so you just keep praying for them. Exactly. Are you both single? Yeah. Well, I wanted to give you guys
Starting point is 01:13:43 an update because remember I told you that God put a call on my life to be single and if you're new here I've said in the past that like I have you know I've realized I've kind of always been a relationship girl always been in relationships and it's obviously from the root is just a lack of safety in life, a lack of security. And oftentimes women will find that security in a partner and in a man when you don't feel fully safe, maybe in just your life in general or where you come from. And so I always thought that I needed, even though I had Jesus, I still felt like I needed that male support in my life or like if something goes wrong and I need a butt, whatever. I have never been happier in my life. I am truly
Starting point is 01:14:32 as single as it gets, you guys. Nobody, nobody in the messages, nobody in it, like nobody. And I'm so happy. And I just want you guys to know that if you're in a season of singleness or you just went through a tough breakup're in a season of singleness, or you just went through a tough breakup, or you're afraid of being alone, like the enemy will make us think the craziest things that we can't do it. And we're not capable. And they're all lies. Cause then you get there and you're like, Oh, the power of God sustains me like this, that the grace of God, that gives me the ability to be this happy alone and single and I'm safe and have security. I've never been happier. So I encourage you guys in your singleness to
Starting point is 01:15:10 understand that you don't need to be with someone either. And being single is honestly great. Focus on Jesus. Whoever, okay. How do you overcome the sin of wanting more than you have at the age of babies? Whoever wrote this question, I just want to thank you because I had a moment with the Ange last night and I was like, hey, is it a sin to want more? To be thinking and kind of talking about how you don't have this and you want more. And she goes, yeah, it is actually. And you know those moments. Discontentment is considered a sin. And you know those moments where somebody says something to you and you have such a revelation that you wake up and you are like, oh, my gosh, I need to change this. That was one of those moments for me last night. So I want to thank whoever wrote this question for saying this, because I started to reflect on my life and I said, I do that sometimes, the discontentment, because I understand you're at that age of babies where maybe you are where you want to be, but then there's this other certain area in your life where it's
Starting point is 01:16:25 not fulfilled and you start to get nervous and the fear builds up and you lose that faith. And if it's anything that I know in my journey is that God has an appointed time for everything in your life and it is not too late. And so if you don't have something in your life right now, trust me when I tell you, it's not your time yet. And so I really don't, I mean, no, my life isn't perfect. I do have moments of being like, uh, but when I see, when I connect the dots of my life and what God has done, I say, thank God he didn't bring me what I wanted at that time because it really wasn't my time and
Starting point is 01:17:09 I wouldn't be here right now. And so whatever fear you're in or discontentment that you're in, understand that it truly is not the time yet. So draw closer to God, talk to him about it, talk to him about your concerns. But I just don't want you guys to sit there and wish for something because it truly is not your time. And when it is your time, God will bring it. And so that should just bring so much peace to you. A hundred percent. And if it's not your time, then he won't bring it yet. And also just understand that when you're there, that's why living in God's will bring so much peace to your life, because you truly understand that what God
Starting point is 01:17:50 has for you cannot miss you as long as you're in God's will. Because I imagine if you're not in God's will, there might, I mean, God will work all things together for your good. And he loves you so much that he's, even when we make a mess and we make a mistake, he works it all together. you so much that he's even when we make a mess and we make a mistake, he works it all together. And he's so gracious in that. But if you're in God's will, you're not going to miss something. He's going to bring it to you exactly during the right time. And you're never too old and it's never too late and just keep having hope and just don't lose faith. You have to understand in these seasons of discontentment, it's normal. And I understand you and I've been there and I go through it all the time. But honestly, just let your faith and trust in Jesus
Starting point is 01:18:31 and his promises override that discontentment. Whenever you're faced with discontentment, just combat it with God's promises that he's going to come through for you in every area of your life because he will because he loves you so much he's obsessed with you and we're obsessed with you guys you know what I did in my season where I was in discontentment and I wanted more I said okay God you're not bringing me this so in this season where I don't have what I want what do you want me to do show me the way show me the path that you want me to do? Show me the way. Show me the path that you want me to do. And he did. And I'm so glad he didn't bring me what I wanted when I was in my discontentment. So ask him, ask him where you're supposed to go and where he wants to lead you.
Starting point is 01:19:17 Just understand, please take it from me that everything that I've ever asked God for and he didn't bring it to me. I'm so happy that I, do you know, do you want to know how many times I've asked him to let me marry somebody? I'm just so happy. God bless him. Not that there's anything wrong with him. I'm just saying. I'm just so happy that he did it. Do you know how many times I asked for a farm and just to, I wanted to live on a farm so bad.
Starting point is 01:19:43 You are going to live on a farm. I wanted a horse. I farm so bad you are going to live on a farm I wanted a horse I love you guys so much Thank you.
