Starting point is 00:00:00 Do you know those, um... What? I can't believe I'm drinking water out of plastic. I know, where's your Stanley? This is so foreign of me. I need to confess something. I was making fun of you behind your back, to myself, but making fun of you every time that you were attached to your Stanley.
Starting point is 00:00:24 When? Like, you were like were attached to your Stanley. When? Like you were like emotionally attached to your Stanley and I was like, did you ever see me talking to it? No, and I'm glad that I did. Maybe that's not a confession to say to a friend. We were filming. She's just kidding guys. She's so kidding.
Starting point is 00:00:41 I'm just kidding. Hey, how do you get through your singleness season? She sleeps with her Stanley. She talks to her Stanley. One thing, my Stanley. Yeah, no, but I was like kind of like judging you in my head and then I got a hydro flask and the whole life changed. Don't know what I'd do without it.
Starting point is 00:01:04 I'm telling you, give it a month, you're gonna start to bond with it. I'm already bonded. You're gonna give it a name, and next thing you know, you're gonna be putting it in a blanket in bed with ya. She's just kidding about that one too. She's not doing that.
Starting point is 00:01:18 I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Let's, all right. My friend's okay. I mean, it's fine. I mean, I'm not lonely. I'm just kidding. Can you imagine John getting jealous of my Stanley? You know those things? You know what I have in my head all day today?
Starting point is 00:01:33 Wait, wait, wait, wait. You know, do you guys know the stop lights? We all know them, the stop thing. You press it so that it goes green and then it goes wait, wait, wait. Why is it so- Whose voice do you think that is? I wish they would choose, I wish I could be that voice. It's so, yeah, we just have Ari's voice across America. Wait!
Starting point is 00:01:51 It depends on what mood I'm in. Yes. Yeah, I have that in my head all day. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Like it's so weird, why does it do that? I can't wink, can you? Tell me if I can, hold on. If I try to actually wink at someone,
Starting point is 00:02:11 I'll accidentally do both. Oh, I know you do. Like, you're being very rude today. Oh, that was good. Hold on, sorry. Hang on, sorry. I'm rude, I'm rude, no. Okay, I'm gonna sit like a lady today. Me too, me too.
Starting point is 00:02:27 What? I have bad posture. No. How's it look? Great posture. Posture? Okay, stop doing that with the face. It's like really, okay, by the way, it's 618.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Okay. Okay. Hi. I'm Ange. And I'm Ari. And this is Girls Gone Bible. We are a faith-based podcast where we talk all things, spirituality, mental health, relationships, everyday life, the struggles we all face, and we look at everything from a biblical point of view. We love Jesus here. He is everything to us. We are two girls with lives completely laid down for Jesus, because He's everything. And I hope that you being here and watching this podcast will show you too that
Starting point is 00:03:18 Jesus is everything, and everything that we think in our lives that is important, we think it's important, you enter into a relationship with Jesus and you realize, oh, nothing matters except Jesus. That's right. Two imperfect girls serving a perfect God, baby. Coin it! Coin that term, slogan. What's up, ah?
Starting point is 00:03:40 What's up, edge? Ah. Ah. We had a sleepover last night. Yeah, that was nice. We haven't had that. Sorry. You have a little one.
Starting point is 00:03:52 That was nice. We haven't had a sleepover in a while. When was last time? I know. How homey is my house? Your house is, you've done such a good job and I'm very proud of you. Is it giving Nancy Meyers, Ralph Lauren vibes?
Starting point is 00:04:05 Who's Nancy Meyers? I told Jenny. I was like, I don't know who that is. Who's Nancy Meyers? It's like a design type, you know? You're just like me. When we get something in our head, and we say it every day, I discover.
Starting point is 00:04:21 I'm calling you Nancy Meyers. Heidi Baker, I know. Everybody knows I discovered. I'm calling you Nancy Meyers. I discovered Heidi Baker. I know. Everybody knows you discovered. Listen, she talks so much about Heidi Baker. Can you meet her for the love of God? This is how I am with Stephanie E.K. Heidi Baker. Well, you know what Heidi Baker said. I know. Michael Cluianos is going to get a restraining order.
Starting point is 00:04:42 We had Stephanie Kayon yesterday. Yeah, last week. And she just means everything to me. I can't, I could go on and on for days. Wait, wait, wait, wait. So hopefully this can be a fun, sometimes we do heavy hitting episodes, but sometimes we just wanna do one or two light ones.
Starting point is 00:05:07 And that's what we're going to do tonight. We're going to do... Honey, I fear that this isn't going to be a light episode. Every question we screenshot, it is not light. Yeah, so let's answer some questions. We like to do question sessions once in a while. I just want to say really quick, so I recorded half of the audiobook today for the devotional that Ari and I wrote. Ari already did her sessions, and it is not for the weak. I mean, we literally talk for a living, and it was one of the most challenging things I've ever had to do is record this audiobook, but it it was so fun and it was so beautiful to sit and relive everything that we wrote. I got to read my parts.
Starting point is 00:05:53 I got to read through Ari's parts. It was like one of the most special experiences of my life. Thinking back to you and I in our bedrooms, in our houses, like trying to write this and be calling each other, did I say too much? Is this taking it too far? No, you're fine. What about me though? Did I say too much? And so, if you guys don't already know, Ari and I have a devotional that we wrote and it's called Out of the Wilderness and it's 31 devotions where Ari and I basically poured out our hearts and partnered with God to write something for long-time believers, lifetime believers, new believers, believers who used to believe
Starting point is 00:06:31 but fell away, and just like an intimate journal of our experiences with Jesus in our faith walk and just like everything we've ever hit that hindered us and even things before we knew Jesus and it's just like the most special thing I think we've ever done and so we're gonna put the QR code on the screen and you can go to girlsgonebible.com book and you can get your book. It's just even when we were just reliving the moment, saying out loud, I can't wait for you guys. I didn't know what to expect. This is our first time doing this.
Starting point is 00:07:08 So saying the book out loud, I'm so excited for you guys to even listen. Because it's like, I could feel every moment of when I was saying it out loud. And so it's just so special. I love it. It's so dear and dear to my heart, even writing about our friendship, because it was like we were in the middle of everything we were going through. Yeah. So... Oh, I love it so much. You guys know that Ari and I are on the Girls Gone Bible live tour.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Man, if you guys follow us on Instagram, like you see the photos, you see videos that we post, you see these nights that we are having on tour. They are truly life-changing for Ari and I. Like, what we have seen on this tour, what we have, just what we've been experiencing in, like, in-person ministry with creating an environment and an atmosphere where Jesus is respected and revered and asked to come and, like, the way that the Lord literally comes into a room and shows up when there's purity of heart and hunger in the room, like, you guys have no idea, it's insane. So, I think when we say tour, like, I don't, I just want you guys to know it's not like a live podcast tour where we're just like talking. It's like a night of revival and worship and we've had testimonies of healing. We've had testimonies of physical healings happening, which is like for Jesus to
Starting point is 00:08:37 move through two girls who are blindly obeying and like stumbling through this is just like evidence of His grace and who He is. And we have testimonies of people, women and men saying that like they're healing from addictions and mental health issues and like I struggled with really bad anxiety and it's been however long and I'm filled with joy and it hasn't come back. And so it's just like an environment where chains break and Jesus sets people free and heals their hearts because that's what He does in a moment. He can heal you. So, we want to invite you guys to go to girlsgonebible.com slash tour.
Starting point is 00:09:16 And it has all of our dates. In a few weeks, we should be announcing our next dates because spring is coming to a close and then fall is starting back up in September. So go get your tickets. We can't wait to be with you guys in person. What's your favorite worship song right now? Oh, honey. Oh, honey. Put on a little bit of that Stephanie Gretzinger. Put on a little bit of that Jesus image worship. Put it on a little, yeah. I am- I think we crown you as my favorite right now.
Starting point is 00:09:46 By Jeremy Riddle. Guys. I have it on repeat every day. Stephanie Gretzinger, Jeremy Riddle, Jesus image worship, upper room worship, like- Abby Gamboa. Her name is not Abby Gambino. Why do I keep calling her Abby Gambino?
Starting point is 00:10:03 It's not Abby Gambino. That's not okay. I never get anyone's namesino? It's not Abigambino. That's not okay. I never get anyone's names right. It's the best thing about you. I know an Abigambino, do you? No. She must be from Boston. That's a very Boston name.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Abigambino. Abigambino, what's up, sweetheart? No, I don't know her. Abigambo Bethel. Beautiful. True, pure worship, you guys. And honestly, you know my number one, me and Jesus song,
Starting point is 00:10:29 we make a miracle worker, always. Can I give you guys a little bit of a grid in how I like to judge worship music? Right, Jesus is the ultimate judge. The worship music is literally for Him. It's not even for us. But if the song is talking more about you than it is God, I think we have a problem. I think it's just like always, it's supposed to be ministering vertically.
Starting point is 00:10:56 It's always supposed to go up directly back to Jesus. So that's how I measure worship music in a sense, you know? Okay. Okay. This episode is brought to you by Glorify, the number one Christian daily devotional app. Okay, guys, let's be real. Life gets hard. And during Mental Health Awareness Month,

Okay you guys, sometimes being on the road for tour means not having time to schedule a nail appointment. That's why whenever I've been on a time crunch, I rely on Olive and June Mani system and honestly, I am obsessed. It's everything you need for a salon quality manicure in one box. The tools are salon grade but made specifically for at-home use and you get to customize the set with your choice of six polishes. Right now, I'm into their new top coats.
Starting point is 00:13:06 They have the perfect winter sparkle that's subtle, but still fun. And the Celestial Effect top coat is so beautiful. The polish doesn't chip and lasts seven days or more, sometimes even up to 10. It gives you that plump, gel-like finish without needing a lamp, and it comes off super easily. Plus, it's free of 10 of the most common
Starting point is 00:13:25 no-no ingredients, which I love. It breaks down to just a $2 manicure, so it's beautiful and budget friendly. Honestly, my at-home manicure is never used to last or look this good, but now they actually feel like the real thing. Doing my nails has become part of my wind down routine. And sometimes I'll throw in worship music,
Starting point is 00:13:45 pick a shade that matches my mood, and just reset. Visit olivinjune.com slash ggb for 20% off your first system. That's O-L-I-V-E-A-N-D-J-U-N-E dot com slash ggb for 20% off your first system. Relationship advice. OK. Relationship advice. Okay, relationship advice. Anything specific or just in general? No, just give us your top relationship advice.
Starting point is 00:14:12 I won't be giving you a relationship advice because I haven't been in a relationship in two years. And somebody asked, Are you still single? Yes, I am single. You give me great relationship advice. Yes, I do? Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Yeah, well I don't, except sometimes it's a little, whoa, busted. I'm not gonna do that. Picking on my kid? No. So give us some relationship advice. For people in relationships,
Starting point is 00:14:41 I mean, we always talk about singleness and we always talk about purity and singleness. I think one day we'll do an episode on dating as a Christian in a relationship because this is my first time. There's so much, so, so much to dating. I guess all I'll say is, practically, like, seeking, both people seeking Jesus with all their hearts makes for a good relationship. I think what people need to remember, like, I guess this is what's been on my heart recently, is I think in the Christian world, everybody wants, like, God's perfect one for them. And like, yes, you don't settle, obviously.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Like, we always speak about that. Nobody's perfect. Nobody's perfect. Nobody's going to meet every ideal that you thought you needed or wanted. You have to remember that, you know, it's two lives coming together, two very different people with very different past upbringing backgrounds who have to come together and create a life. And like, naturally, there's going to be tension and friction.
Starting point is 00:15:43 And I just think think grace for one another is really important, being committed to understanding one another and praying your heart out individually and together of just like, we need eyes to see each other the way that Jesus sees us. Yeah, I think I just see a lot of, like for me and John, for example, like the first few months of our relationship were like pure bliss because we were like not putting too
Starting point is 00:16:09 much pressure on it, not because we were in the honeymoon stage, but there was just no pressure like you're you, I'm me, we're going to come together and see if we like each other and see if this works out. And then you start doing really hard work because when things get more serious, you realize that, again, two lives coming together that have to learn to like mesh with one another and there's compromise on both sides and there's acceptance on both sides that needs to happen. And I just think a lot of people have ideals
Starting point is 00:16:42 that they just need to let Jesus break. So when you're meeting someone, when you're in a relationship with someone, just know that like, yes, the Lord has to be in it. He has to speak. He has to give confirmation. You have to have peace and you just choose someone, you know, like eventually you just like choose someone.
Starting point is 00:17:00 And so I would just say compassion and understanding and genuine love for one another and understanding that nobody's perfect. Nobody. And that goes along with friendships too. Yeah, for sure. Is that? Oh, don't, don't.
Starting point is 00:17:15 What's that? No, because of me. Because of me. People be giving up on each other. That's what I mean. People do give up on each other, that's what I mean. People do give up on each other. And it's crazy, like recognize that, how imperfect you are, why are you giving up on that friend?
Starting point is 00:17:31 Yeah dude, real recognize real, it's like recognize. Someone said, how do you manage FOMO while being a Christian? Oh, you know, I'm going to be completely honest right now. Things that I used to do, I think now how did I do that stuff? Yep. Which obviously I wasn't like... I was like, no, sometimes I make myself out to be like, I was not like some party animal, I never was. But yes, there are certain things that,
Starting point is 00:18:10 because I'm new, I'm two years in, but I would say that sometimes I see people and they, like I was talking to my girlfriend about this the other day and I really did lay my life down very quickly. And it was almost like one day I was like, that's it, I'm done. And that was amazing, but also very difficult. And I think I still, honestly, like even we were talking about holiness, yes, with Stephanie, I almost wanted to say like,
Starting point is 00:18:42 but can we talk about the perfectionism part of it? Because sometimes I feel like a little bit stressed out because I feel this perfectionism. And it's really stressful because I'm just not, I'm so imperfect. Like I come from a background where, you know, it's just so opposite of holiness. And that doesn't mean that I come from a horrible background.
Starting point is 00:19:11 It's just so opposite of the way I have to live now. And so, like, even when I go back home, I'm just like, it's difficult. I did not grow up in a Christian household, so when I go home, I'm around things that I wouldn't say is the most holy. And sometimes, like, yeah, like the other day, I wanted to, like, I actually did, I listened to my 2000 hits when I was younger, Paula DeAngelo, like Ashanti. And then I'm like, wait a minute, should I be listening to this?
Starting point is 00:19:48 There's certain things that I'm just still trying to figure out that aren't the worst things in the world, right? But I know that I have to live a life that is separated. And sometimes I struggle with that a little bit still. Yeah. Yeah. So what was the question? Oh, FOMO. Yeah. Yeah, so I think that, yeah, sometimes going out and stuff,
Starting point is 00:20:17 like I wanna, even, I don't know. I wouldn't say that I have FOMO. It's just, I think there's some things wouldn't say that I have FOMO. It's just, I think there's some things that I'm still trying to figure out. Is there a fine line? Like, should I, am I crossing the line by like even listening to certain songs and stuff?
Starting point is 00:20:35 Right, totally. And it's been, I have been on a journey lately where I have been having a little bit of a difficult time with it. Yeah, totally. What about you? Well, thank you for sharing that, because I'm sure so many people feel that way, you know? I think, yeah, I mean, it's something...
Starting point is 00:20:56 It's something, going from living in the world, living, you know, an unholy life, or from an, you know what I mean, a family that's not Christian and just being around people that don't speak in a way that glorifies God, like, that's clearly something you can't do without the Holy Spirit to completely let your life change. And that's what Scripture talks about the whole time, is that like, we need Jesus to become like Jesus. You know, it's like only from His empowerment, but I think I, yeah, this is like a really interesting one for me because I have, this is probably one of the most difficult parts of my life as of recently, is changing so much and feeling FOMO, not that I like am wishing I could do things that other people are doing. I didn't even feel that before I was like really laid down for Jesus. Like,
Starting point is 00:21:55 I think I more have like, I can feel really awkward because I feel so different. And I can feel really left out in conversations and stuff because I'm having a fight of, do I engage and choose to not follow my convictions in this moment to fit in? And I think that's what I'm dealing with. I don't. Yeah, a lot of the time I feel like I don't fit in. And so that can give me a little bit of FOMO, but it's not FOMO.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Like I wish I was doing that or wish I was talking like that. I just, I'm like, Oh, I don't know how to engage. Yeah. So I think I can just feel like left out sometimes. Um, and this is so real and it's so, this is what happens when you did not grow up in an environment of, you know, Christian community and people and friends, and then you like, your whole life changes and everything, like, following Jesus means everything about you changes down to, like, literally inside and out, everything is supposed to change,
Starting point is 00:22:59 and then you're left being like, okay, well, nobody else really changed, just me, and now I have to deal with people potentially not even accepting me because I'm so different. I'm not the person that you became friends with all those years ago. Will you still accept me? Are you going to reject me? So I think that's what I deal with. Not so much FOMO, like I wish I could be at the club. We definitely don't wish we were at the club.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Don't wish we were at the club. Yeah, I think if you're in a situation where you are trying to lay your life down for Jesus and you find yourself consistently feeling awkward and left out, it's so normal. We all go through it. I deal with it. And yeah, you just remember why you're doing it. You remember the point. You remember who gets the reward in you glorifying God with everything about yourself, you know?
Starting point is 00:23:50 How do I tell my friends about Jesus that don't want to hear it? That don't want to hear it. You're really good at this. Well, I, yeah, I've been going through this for a couple years. Not that anyone doesn't want to hear it, but I simply, I always say this, I simply live it. I simply pray for them behind their back. I try to be someone that doesn't judge, because that's how I felt when I came into Christianity. So I try to give so much grace and be non-judgmental, because that's when you feel safe, is when you don't feel judged. And so, I listen to their perspectives, I pray, I like to share my own personal testimony, and it's been beautiful, because simply living out what Jesus did and how He saved my life has actually made people say,
Starting point is 00:24:50 wait a minute, maybe I should go to church too. Your life is just the perfect witness of getting people to Jesus. What about you? Well, because they're like, this Ari, is that Ari? It's insane. This Ari who doesn't struggle is the same as this one who... It's just like, it's insane to see your life specifically, the witness that is your life, to the testimony of Jesus is like, it's really what he talks about. It's why he does what he does.
Starting point is 00:25:18 It's why he allows us to go through things so that it's incredible. Matthew 5, 16, like what Ari talked about says, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven. And then what Ari also said, pray for them. Second Corinthians 4 says, people don't reject Jesus because they're evil, they're blind. Prayer lifts the blinders. And one more thing I'll say is, ask questions. And you said that, like you share, just ask questions. Do not just immediately start preaching at people. The whole point, whenever I'm like trying to talk to someone who doesn't know Jesus yet, I always ask, Holy Spirit, give me an access point. I'm going to start asking questions
Starting point is 00:26:03 and then like highlight to me what it is, the area in which we can talk about that will just open them up because when people feel seen, they get soft. Their hearts change. And I wrote this thing down. It says, Jesus asked over 300 questions in the Gospels. He led with curiosity, not correction. That's right. You know? Yeah, that's so good. People just want to feel seen. That's right. You know? Yeah, that's so good.
Starting point is 00:26:25 People just wanna feel seen. That's they wanna feel seen, yep. Okay, let's be honest. There's a lot of supplement brands out there making big promises. And on social media, it's hard to tell what's actually trustworthy and what's just trendy. That's why I started using
Starting point is 00:26:45 Rituals Essential for Women 18+. With Ritual everything is traceable, transparent, and backed by real science, not just cover branding. They even did a university-led clinical trial on this multivitamin and the results showed its increased vitamin D by 43% and omega-3 DHA by 41% in just 12 weeks. I have made it a part of my morning routine right next to my coffee. Two delayed release capsules and I'm done. Starting point is 00:30:29 that seems never ending? Go ahead. No, go. You deal with a disappointment streak that seems never ending. Yeah, I feel like I've gone through multiple seasons like that where things just pile on and they pile on and they pile on. And the first thing that comes to my mind, because obviously in the kingdom and with the mysteries of God, there could be a million reasons as to why you specifically are in a situation where it's disappointment after disappointment.
Starting point is 00:31:02 The first thing that came to my mind, and I'm going to trust that it's what somebody needs to hear, is that oftentimes, God is producing long-suffering in you. When He's repeatedly having something similar happen to you, or it could be like a spiritual attack, but this is where I'm landing that, like, for me, I know, like, I just know the Lord wants to produce long-suffering in me, in know, like, I just know the Lord wants to produce long suffering in me, in all of us, so that our faith has true endurance, and that so we don't falter and like flail around every time something bad happens. And disappointment, like, yes, it can make your heart sick, and it also builds your faith. Every time you take a hit, if you choose to allow Jesus to work in it, it makes you stronger. So I would just fix your
Starting point is 00:31:45 perspective on why this disappointment keeps happening and maybe 100% God is trying to produce something in you and it's up to you to pray and ask, what is it? Also, it could be so many other things. I don't know, maybe you're not in the will. I know people who consistently try at the same job and like beat it to the grave. And I always want to offer like, maybe that's not what the Lord wants you to do. And maybe that's why you're not having breakthrough in it. Maybe there's sin, like you never know. So it's just something you seek Jesus in and he reveals it to you. Yeah. The first thing that comes to my mind, and I don't know who needs to hear this, but so many times we are saying, I'm experiencing disappointment after disappointment, when really
Starting point is 00:32:36 it's actually out of God's love. And everything that I thought was a disappointment, everything that God had taken from me was out of His love, and I thought I was being punished. And so, maybe you're going through a heartbreak right now and you're wondering why, and it's out of His love. It's because that person wasn't meant for you, or you lost a job, and it's out of His love. And so, if we start changing the language of, instead of looking at it in the perspective of, I'm experiencing disappointment after disappointment and changing it to, it was out of God's love that I don't have this thing anymore. And God is trying to bring you into a season, I don't know who I'm talking to,
Starting point is 00:33:17 but God is trying to bring you into a season to understand His love. So then you step into authority of not looking at everything as a disappointment, because when we stay stuck in the disappointment, then we stay stuck. But if we start looking at it in the lens of, Whoa, what is He trying to teach me? He took that away from me for my good because it was out of His love. Now I'm going to keep my eyes on Him and focus 100% on Jesus, so He can bring me to the place that He has meant for me, then that's when He'll be like, okay, now I trust you. Now I'm going to bring you what
Starting point is 00:33:53 I have for you. But all I know is I can speak from experience. And what I thought was a disappointment after disappointment was Jesus just taking the things away from me that weren't meant for me to bring me to where I was supposed to be. So good. So good. Period. Period. And if you're experiencing the type of disappointment that you can't put a bow on, because that happens too, a lot of the time it is exactly what Ari is talking about. And then sometimes things simply are not going well. Sometimes you are in a situation where, wow, this really does stink. I've never used the word stink in my life. I've never heard you say that. It just sounded better than sucks. So I just... Anyways, you just have to take it to Jesus,
Starting point is 00:34:40 every single one of us ever. We experience disappointment on the daily, and it's just like you can't, you just can't let disappointment make you bitter. Don't feel alone because you're not the only one experiencing disappointment. It can feel that way, but it's not the truth. And don't let it make you bitter. Don't let it make you mad at God because He's like the Father who gives His children good gifts. Like He's, every good and perfect gift comes from God. He's not the one making things, bad things happen, but you just take everything to Him and don't let it make you mad at Him. You know? I want to be on fire for God. What do you recommend if someone is lukewarm? And I just want to say that hunger to be on fire is actually evidence that girl, boy, you're already on fire. Like,
Starting point is 00:35:27 if you have a hunger to become on fire, that means the Holy Spirit's already in you working and stirring in your spirit. And it could be so many reasons why you're not on fire yet, but I would offer you like, potentially, if you have fire in you, so be encouraged that you already have that fire in you. Potentially, maybe discipline and boldness are what need to come next. Maybe you need discipline to do the things that the Lord is calling you to do. Maybe you need boldness to empower you to actually step out and obey and do the things that He's calling you to do. If you love me, obey my commandments. I think that to be on fire for God, like you have to have a genuine love for Jesus.
Starting point is 00:36:11 You have to be captivated by Jesus, and that's something that you ask for. We can't love Jesus in our own might. I'm telling you guys, every day of my life I ask God, help me love Jesus, help me worship Jesus. My heart is on fire for Jesus, and I ask every day, fan it aflame, fan it aflame? Fan the flame, fan the flame God. And so I'm like every day, like beg Him, set my heart on fire for you Jesus. And then I think just another thing that is really practical,
Starting point is 00:36:46 and we talk about this all the time, but being around other believers who are on fire for Jesus, fire sets fire ablaze. Fire catches fire. That's literally what actually happens with fire. So when you're around people who are on fire, you can't help but catch what they have.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Like you become on fire. You actually, like this is gonna sound crazy. I think I've said this before, but you, and I don't know if this is the right word, but you actually profit off of other people's gifts. Like if I have the gift of faith and you spend time with me, I'm gonna, you're gonna receive the gift of, not receive it, but you're going to feed off
Starting point is 00:37:25 of that gift. Yeah, I thought he just knocked on the door. I was like, what? You can feed off that gift. The more time I spend with John, the more... Truly, I'm way more prophetic when I'm around John. And you notice that when you... You feed off of somebody's favor. Somebody can have favor on their life, and it actually affects the people around them. So it's just like the people that you're around. And I would just say ask for fire.
Starting point is 00:37:49 You ask Him. You ask Him. Luke 11.13. I love this so much. It talks about how like if an earthly father would, is capable to give his children good gifts, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask? Yeah. That's what He wants to do. He wants to set your heart ablaze for Him, so just ask Him earnestly, like with all your heart, and He'll do it. You just talked about Father, and I think that's another way to set your heart on fire for Him.
Starting point is 00:38:18 And if you're someone that's in a tough season, take it as an absolute gift, because I wouldn't know God as my dad if I didn't go through such a hard season, and I wouldn't know Him as a healer if I didn't have such a broken heart. And so, that is what set my heart on fire, is going through the tough times. And so, when you see God as dad, you can't help but be such on fire to be like, I have a dad who loves me, protects me, and will heal me, and I can give all my broken pieces to, and he won't disappoint me, and he won't abandon me. So when you understand God as dad, how can you not always be on fire for Him? And I'll just say one more thing.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Helping His people, helping His sons and daughters will set you ablaze. Sometimes I can even feel not on fire. And doing our meetings and being in prayer for people that are sick, and then seeing what God is doing through prayer is unbelievable. It has set me on fire. When we get emails of like, you healed somebody's foot. You had called out... You want to say it real quick? Jesus healed somebody's foot.
Starting point is 00:39:31 Jesus healed somebody's foot. Helping His people and sacrificing your needs for others and just, yeah, just helping others. Helping His people will set a blaze for you because you are being at service to others, and then you will see miracles in other people's lives because you are sitting in prayer for them, and you are being sacrificial to His people. And so that's another way to set a blaze. So good. To be on fire for Jesus. And you know that one very, very well. Oh, there is this one, what do you do when your personal problems are taking away from your relationship with Jesus? And I love this one
Starting point is 00:40:10 so much because the enemy wants you to look inward so bad. Every single thing that we deal with is, like, I truly believe almost all of it is just a distraction. Like, sure, he comes to hurt you and discourage, like, he wants to discourage you and He wants to distract you. And He wants to leave you empty so that you can't do anything for God and you won't bring anyone else home to the kingdom. Philippians 3, 13 to 14 says, No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing, forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press
Starting point is 00:40:45 on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." Every time that I'm dealing with things relationally, every time that I'm dealing with so much, it's so chaotic, I always try to sit down and be like, Lord, what do you have for me right now that Satan is so afraid of me catching that he's creating all of these insane relational dynamics in my life? Like I feel like I'm arguing with someone,
Starting point is 00:41:17 I'm getting hurt by someone, like this is all going, like what is going on that he's trying to get me all messed up and distracted? So just like fight the temptation to look inward when you're facing troubles and like truly continue to look at Jesus and it removes every burden and yeah. What do you do when you're personal what? What do you do when your personal problems are taking away from your relationship with Jesus? Oh yeah and that and and when that happens that is when I believe that can also be a test to remain humble,
Starting point is 00:41:47 not have pride, and deal with that person in humility. And that's a test. That is Jesus working on your heart to make you more like Him. He'll put you in situations where you could either go one way and fight and have pride, or deal with that person, take a deep breath, take a minute, and deal with them in humility. That's been, that is like when you're in your pruning process, one of the biggest things is he's humbling you and teaching you how to be and making you better.
Starting point is 00:42:15 And so he'll oftentimes put you in situations that, all of us can take out the earrings and put up our bows. Not the bows and the hair, these bows. These bows. We'll just leave you with this. Please spend time with Jesus. If nothing else, I understand we have podcasts and we have Christian YouTube and we have even sermons, which are amazing.
Starting point is 00:42:41 That's actually not your secret place. Even church isn't your secret place. your secret place is you and Jesus? In the morning is great Stephanie always says it at least an hour give Jesus even 30 minutes of your time Uninterrupted you sit you abide in his presence you ask him to come you ask the Holy Spirit to fill you search you speak to you You sit in silence with a little instrumental music, then you read the Bible, then you worship your heart out, seek the face of Jesus. What does that mean? That means you sit and you wait and you dwell and you expect Him to come and say, I'm not
Starting point is 00:43:16 leaving until you meet me here. And you command your soul to worship Jesus. You command your soul to love Jesus. You command your entire being to be captivated by Jesus. You command your soul to love Jesus. You command your entire being to be captivated by Jesus. Loving is a choice. Love is a choice with people and it's a choice with Jesus. So make a choice today to say, I love Him so much, I'm going to give Him everything, and I'm going to spend so much time with Him every day of my life. And then I'm just going to end it with people. We need people. Fight for it.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Make time for it. And check on people. And if somebody's not calling you, call them because people are so important. Friendships are everything. And we need people. Get in a group. Read the Bible with them. Study with them.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Study the Word together. Pray together. It is so important. So please do not isolate yourself. And fight for friendships and fight for community. Amen. We love you. We love you guys so important. So please do not isolate yourself and fight for friendships and fight for community. Amen. We love you. We love you guys so much. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May he make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May he turn his face towards you and give you peace. Shalom,
Starting point is 00:44:19 shalom.
