Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, and thank you so much for listening to Girls Gone Canon, to our coverage over the past handfuls of weeks for House of the Dragon. If you're hearing this, you might be looking for a brand chapter. Unfortunately, there is no brand new chapter this week. But, again, thank you for following us on this journey. We are going to have a new brand chapter next week. But this week we are a little busy. We are in New York City. And why is that, Chloe?
Starting point is 00:00:35 We're in New York City because we just listened to George in conversation with Neil Gaiman. It was a great conversation. I actually live tweeted it. So I'll post it later for patrons if you want to check a couple of the tweets. You know, there was nothing listicle worthy. There was nothing hot topic to trot about, but it was, it was beautiful conversation and some really great stories, including the one canon thing that came from this, the most important thing. Actually, no, I was so glad that that got asked i'm glad that neil gaiman pulled out that question for it to be asked of george this was so
Starting point is 00:01:10 this was no this was really good eliana and this one made me think of you you were a row behind me a little diagonal which is funny because the last time we saw george together in 2018 that's basically how we were we were kind of kitty corner almost you were down the row uh this time you were kitty corner but we came in had a question from someone i can't remember their name bless their heart about whether or not tywin was stopped up all the time and george went on a rant about jrr tolkien and how he does not talk about elves pooping anyone pooping hobbits pooping there's no poop in his story, but George is brave. And he said there's no toilets in what place is it?
Starting point is 00:01:50 It began with, like, M. Ner. I don't know. Anyways, it's about the elves. But the important part is George thinks privies are important, and he thinks that Tywin was stopped up. And I want to point out that Mary from Learned hands said tywin truly was full of shit at his death constipated and george agrees well the important part is the question asked did tywin have diarrhea or was he constipated because those
Starting point is 00:02:20 are two different things two different things you know and but both of those will lead you to go to the bathroom a lot. And so I think that was, like, a good distinction, and it was important to ask. This is the kind of question that, like, this is similar to the kinds of questions that I have, so I'm glad that that was asked. I think, truly, we're just happy that a true shitpost got through. So thanks for listening. We had a blast tonight listening to Neil and George have conversations. Eliana got a couple signed books on sale over there from Gaiman even.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Yeah, I got Anansi Boys. I had to wait for so long, and then they sold out of Sandman and Good Omens and American Cuts. But you got Anansi Boys. Yeah, I really wanted a signed Sandman copy, though. Gonna be real, but oh well. Hopefully next time. But we both did end up with extra copies of Fire and Blood,
Starting point is 00:03:13 and we might be doing something with that. Yeah, keep your ears and your eyes peeled. We will be posting something, maybe to your feed, maybe to your Twitter accounts, wherever you follow us at. So keep your eyes peeled. If you want a Fire and Blood signed copy, you might get a chance. That said, thanks for listening. Every week, we really appreciate everything you all do to download, listen, review, rate, like, subscribe, all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Our patrons, our friends, thanks so much. We will be back next week to start Bran and the Clash of Kings. Yeah. But now, a clash in the big city. Oh my god, goodbye.
