Okay. You know when I poop. It's everything is an emergency. I will get up and leave the most important conversation I've ever been having if I have to poop. I just felt my stomach and I'm like, oh my God. This is not how we operate. This is the earliest I've ever had you get up. This is ridiculous. Get to get up and record. What are we doing? Well, you live in L.A. You have a healthy lifestyle. You know, here my body is trash. So we're in this heat wave here and it probably will have broken by the time this airs, but it's been so hot, but also humid. And people. people are losing their minds because truly like the humidity is like we didn't sign up for that. Yes, it rains here, but a hot, humid day, it's out of body for us.

No, SoCal humidity. Like, I don't know her. That's the thing. So it's weird. I like got back here from being on the East Coast and was like, what is this feeling? This is really off. You're not used to walking out in hot and humid and it's not raining. It's been a wild experience.

So pray for us, everybody. it's probably over by the time you hear this, but hopefully we survived it. Well, I was also thinking like, okay, September 8th, first day of fall, fresh, fresh new season. It's not. It's, I'm going to, I have to leave here to go to Columbus. It's 90 degrees in Columbus today. I know I was looking at going to Delaware in either September or October. And I was like, I just want to be there what it is.

There's a chill in the air. So I just, I feel like I can't rely on September anymore. So I need to push back to October. I thought this was like new season, new me. I thought we were going to like do a summer wrap up, like, what do people say? Their pits and their peaks are roses and thorns of the summer, but it's like summer's still here. We can do it next week.

We can do whatever we want. It's still technically summer. Next Monday will be the first like official day of fall. We'll do it then. All right. Don't worry about it, girl. You guys stay tuned for all the good and bad things that happened to us this summer. All right.

keeps happening. Okay. Okay. I want to premise this by saying, like, I'm not a big bakery girly. I don't like, really. I'm not, I'm not a big sweets person. Can't relate. I just, you know what? I'm just like a pastry slut. Like, I don't, it's not even sweets. It's like a pastry. I love a bakery. We love, we love bread and butter in L.A. and Santa Monica. It's like, incredible. But even like when we were out in the Hamptons every day, I'm like, where are we going today? Like, going to Tates, going to these little markets. So you're either more Ashley's friend or more Rana's friend when it comes to pastries and bakeries. But continue. I only like savory pastries and I love them. Like I will eat a ham and cheese pastry every

morning. And so like when I find a place that does them, I'm very excited. So I'm not just, I'm not a big pastry, bakery kind of girly. And this thing has been happening to me. And now I've had to keep a list because it's so weird. So I was in Martha's Vineyard and I went to this bakery and the girls at the front desk at the hotel had told me about it. And I was like, I'll be nice. I'll get them a couple things while I'm there too. And so I threw like five things in the bag and then their Wi-Fi went down and they couldn't charge me. And they were like, just take it. And I was like, oh, all these free pastries. Okay, great. So I take them, I give them to these girls. I'm like, I had free pastries today. How lovely. And then I was at the four seasons in LA last week. And I like popped down to the

restaurant. Where else are you going to say? It's not the France. I was in Dubai after that. Just these things keep happening. It's funny that you created this story just to donk on everybody. This is crazy, you guys. I just have these pastry things that keep happening in all the rich places I go. That's my life, okay? You know what? I have nothing to say for myself other than my life is awesome. I don't know what to tell you.

And it makes you feel comfortable. And it makes you uncomfortable. That's your problem. I mean, actually, if you want to know, I wasn't even paying for the four seasons. I had sex and then I went downstairs to the bakery. That's how awesome that day was. I also love that this story is about you not paying for stuff, that living this great life and also getting stuff for free.

That's what this is. whole story it's going to be about. So I go downstairs to the restaurant of the four seasons. They have like a bakery case. So I ordered a ham cheese croissant and a cold brew. And this guy goes, you know what? Just take it. And I go, what? And he was like, you know what? Just take it. I was like, you do want to charge it to the room? And he goes, no, you can just take it. I love this. Okay, sure. Thank you so much. So I'm like so excited. Also, just want to throw in later that day. I also got my car washed. And for some reason, they gave it to me for free at Beach City. at Bay Cities? What do you mean they give you for free? They have a whole system. Yes, Ashley, I go all the time. I left your house. I went to get my car washed and I give him my credit card. He comes back and goes, this one's on us. What are you putting out there in the world? I don't understand. So then I come back. I'm in New York last week. I'm walking down the street. There's a bakery called Apartment 4F. And it's next door to Rosemary's in West Village. I'm walking by at 6 p.m. This girl goes, excuse me, would you like some free pastries? Okay. No.

They're hunting you down on the streets for your aura. Like, what is how funny? The line for this is usually like 50 people long. I tried to go the other day with Emily. We couldn't get near the building. She goes, well, we usually throw everything out at the end of the day. So we just give free pastries out. She gives me this giant box of pastries.

I was on my way to FedEx. I just give it to all the FedEx people. And I was like, surely this is done. So yesterday I go to this place, St. George, in the West Village, where I've been going to get my ham and butter sandwiches. And I order three sandwiches. And I get home. realize they've given me the wrong stuff. So I have to walk back and he goes, okay,

I still have your box. Just keep all the other stuff. I don't know what it is about me. The people are like, she just, she needs it. No, something else is happening and the car washes the smoking gun. Like, what is happening and you're putting out there in the world? You look poor. Maybe you look like you can't afford it. Maybe have you been dressing extra dressed down. My nipples were really out. You know that outfit I have from CBO, F-A-B-O. Yeah. Four seasons and the car wash nipples were just abound. I mean, good for you. Keep it rolling.

I don't know what else I have to say. I'm proud of you. Thank you. You know, I heard about those 4F pastries because I was in at the house where you were coming to and you didn't bring them to us, me specifically. Megan mentioned it and I said, what do you meet? She said, Rangers got all these free pastries on the street from this incredible place in New York. I said, tell me they're coming on the way. She said she gave them to the FedEx guys.

I thought we were best friends in that moment. I knew we weren't. You don't know me at all. To be honest, I actually thought that by the next day, they wouldn't be that good. I thought about bringing it to you guys, but I don't love day and a half old pastries. And I actually thought you guys deserve better. It depends on what they are. You know, like, I just like, you know, like a banana bread would keep a crumb cake.

Just depends. I'm not in this culture, so I'll keep it in mind. I don't know. It's just a weird thing that's been happening. I don't know what it is about me. But, you know, I think it's because I don't really want it. I don't really want pastries that much. I'm like a fuck boy.

And people are like, you clearly don't want this. So we're going to give it to you. It feels so good. And you just feel so hot when someone gives you something for free. Like, I remember being at the Equinox in Miami where just I'm the ugliest person in there, obviously. And I got a coffee in the way out. They have like a coffee bar in there. And the guy was like, just take it.

And I was like, okay. I'm sorry. How stunning am I? But yesterday, Raina, I was at zinc after going to berries. and we were having coffee and they had the market in the back. And I got some stuff, like some stuff for dinner. I got some fruit. I got like a water.

And their scanner wasn't working. And I like to scan the barcodes on the items. I had five items. And I was like, surely she's not going to give me this all for free. She would give you for free. Obviously, that's what happened to you. She keyed in everything, every single thing. I stood there for so long while she manually keyed in every item.

Like I almost just abandoned it. Like I almost was like, I could go to another store in this time and buy all these things. Yeah. Also, like, why don't I have to stand here while you do this? Just give it to me. Just give it to me. It's $42 total. I don't think people feel bad for you because you're tall.

I think people look at me and they're like, she's so little. She's like a small toddler. Her life is so hard down there. Let's give it to her for free. Well, now I'm just like, maybe I need to have my nipples out more. I don't know why you stopped. Your nipples have not been out that much. And like, you're my most nippily friend, I feel.

I don't know what's going on. You became a wife. No, I have that one tank. They've been out. Maybe, you know, I'm wearing darker colors. Maybe don't see them as much. You know, like I wear that black tank all the time. I'm always free-balling under there, but sometimes you don't know it.

Do you feel like because you're a wife? You just, you haven't been like showing your nipples off? No, I feel like because I'm 43 and they're just a little lower. I don't think it has anything to do with marriage. I thought you were trying to be like Demir for Shishank. No, no, I'm just old. Well, what's going out of my life? I mentioned this briefly on the snack that.

we have a new foster dog named Cody and you guys have probably already seen him by this point as we record. I'm going to pick him up today. And we talked about him. He's this like a little Maltese mix, whatever. But I did just want to talk about the experience with Zizu. So you guys were really invested in the journey with Zizu, who was the foster dog I had, the pug, a few weeks ago with Wags and Wags, which I've just loved working with them here in L.A. Oh, Rainy, you know who does Wags and Walks Nashville? Is Jason Tardick's fiancee? Oh, is that, is it there? Okay, cool. Yeah. So anyway, I just thought that was interesting. Like, I knew she did something with the dog rescue. I don't know if maybe she started that branch, but that's who she's, like, associated with. I think that's how they met. Yeah, I think so, too. He does stuff with dogs. Anyway, so Wags and Wax is who I'm partnering with here in L.A. And Zizu was the first foster that I haven't kept. I mean, like, Dewey was technically a foster. Azul was my first foster after Dewey passed. And so I've never had to give them back. And it was. it was so heartbreaking.

Like, it was such a hard day. Like, I enjoyed my time with him so much and I just felt love with him. And I think that so many people have this experience. And, you know, we had Isabelle Cleon and we love her book. And I feel like she's the top when it comes to these dog fosters and how painful it is to bond with them and have to give them back. And for me, it was so sad because. I just felt like he was going to miss us so much. Like, I wasn't handing him off to his forever home.

You know, like there's a quote, people apply to dogs for various things. I mean, I guess traditionally when you put them down, like something along the lines of we suffer so they don't have to. Like, you're saying goodbye to them and your life is going to feel so empty, but they're not going to be in pain anymore. And it's like that would have applied to Zizu if I knew I was giving him to like his forever home for like a happier life. But I handed him off to another foster, which I'm sure he's doing amazing. but he's still up for adoption. And I just felt like he was so in love with us. Like, I feel like he just wanted to be around us and follow me around all the time and just cuddle up with us. And he loved a Zool. And I feel like when he first came into the house, he had a little

separation anxiety. And then we kind of just started leaving him out of the crate when we left little by little. And then he would be right by the door when we got home. And then as the two weeks went on, he would be like on the couch with the Zol. Like he didn't even seem anxious anymore. And we just like fell in love with this dog and it was just so hard like I'm like I don't know if I'm built for this I didn't think you're going to give him back I just I saw you guys together on Friday and I just I know he was so he was like in your arms also like Azul doesn't like sit in your arms like that he's just too big to do it I didn't think you were going to give him back I know and I just I don't want you guys hearing this and be like go get him and go you know like it's just not doesn't

make sense for us right now but like he will first of all, he's still over adoption. He's so wonderful. You guys, if you know anyone or you're interested, like, please reach out to wags and walks or just reach out to me or just apply for him. He's on their website. But I just am going to keep tabs on him forever and like what happens to him. And I know he'll find a great home eventually. And, you know, maybe our paths will cross again. And, you know, I've comforted myself with like dogs don't miss people like humans do. Like, I know they can grieve and miss their owners and they remember you and all those types of things, but he's not, like, thinking about us now. Like, we're thinking about him. You know,

they live more in the moment. And I just have had to, like, do some research and, like, talk to people. Like, I just feel like he felt really home with us. And I'm checking in with his new foster all the time. And she said he's doing great. And I'm sure he's happy. And so I'm, like, comfort myself with that. But I just wanted to share how this experience was for me. And I don't know how I'll feel with every dog. I don't know if that was, like, the first one. And it was so hard. And it will get easier. I don't know if it was because of just how much I loved him and how much he grew on me and he just became my little buddy. And he just felt like such an addition to the family. So we'll see what happens with Cody and with the ones after this.

But, you know, Zizu is still out there and he's still up for adoption. And, you know, who's to say you never know. But it was really hard. People were sending me this reel from Tyler Cameron's fiance, Tate of her with this puppy that she'd been fostering, just sobbing. And she was like, who let me do that? that she had to give back. She was like, who let me do this? Who thought I was stable enough to foster dogs? And I just want to share that I feel like that too. Like, what are we doing? This is so hard. But, you know, it's for a good cause and to get these dogs adopted. What are we doing? I mean,

he had a great life with you. It was very cute. Him and his all were very cute. I'm glad I got to meet him. I don't think I'm going to get to meet the Maltese, but we'll see how you guys. I don't know. I just, I don't know if you're going to be as into the Maltese. as you were into the black pug. He's a Maltese mix. So last night, Shishon goes, Ashley, you think he's going to be like yippy? I'm like, excuse me?

Like, that hadn't crossed my mind. Yeah, it's a Maltese. That hadn't crossed my mind. I've never had like a dog like that. I can't imagine you guys with it. I had talked about this dog before, Sue, this senior German Shepherd that's still up for adoption with wags and walks.

And we almost had her to foster last week. But the timing like didn't work out. out, but we were really close, and that could still happen one of these days. And she is still up for adoption, too. So check them out and think about Zizu if you know anyone that could be a fit. And I just, I miss them. I think about him every day. And I don't know if that's like a sign, but, you know, I mean, I think you should go get him. But he had a beautiful time with you. And we have a huge platform. What's important is that you promote that somebody should go get him. Apparently not huge enough. What is going on? What? Where are. Are we even famous? Apparently not. I was like,

surely the girl's got in community will get this dog adopted because they're all just like they want me to keep him. They're setting me up. Yeah, they don't want to step on your toes with this guy. No, but anyway. So I just wanted to share how that is and there's another one coming and we're just going to keep doing this while we can and when we're in town. Okay. We will get the episode in a second. I just want to say one more thing. And this audience and you will hold me accountable. It's just I feel like I learned something about you this morning. I didn't know before, but maybe I'm not listening to you. But listen, I want to preface this by saying, I don't platform anything. J.K. Rowling does. And I would not consume stuff that she produces anymore. But I was talking to Shashonk in a group chat with you about how this new show is coming out in HBO of Harry Potter. And Shishonk said you have never ever seen a Harry Potter movie. Like, you've never turned on a Harry Potter movie? I have not. And I am now trying to run the tape on if I've lied about it before to save face. But the truth is, no, I know. I know nothing. I feel like the most I've seen of Harry Potter is this one audio that people make reels and TikToks when it's like, there will be no something something in this something something and there's

like a cape. You shall not pass. No, no, no. It's this other thing. There's this other thing. It's this guy with a cape. People put capes on their dogs. It's a funny thing.

No, Rand, I don't know anything about it. I know it's about like kids in class. Like there's magic. Because I would never, it's on TV or whatever. I wouldn't, in a hotel, I wouldn't put it on because I don't know it like that. I mean, it's weird to think about it today because it's not my radar. I mean, it's like a Sunday night watch for me. If I turn on the actual TV, if I'm logged into Yer and Shoshanx's YouTube TV, I'll turn it on.

But I watched the final movie, like when I was in college when it was out. I read some of the books when I was younger because they were so long and I could read them in the car with my mom so she wouldn't talk to me. Oh, yeah. I don't think I realized you had never consumed a single minute of a Harry Potter movie. If you guys are like in the comments, let me know if like anybody else is in this community. I know people are like team like what's the werewolf shit. What's, uh, Twilight.

Twilight. Okay. Sorry. I'm not trying to diminish it. I know people love it. I know people are like Twilight or Harry Potter. Like you just haven't consumed any Harry Potter, which is fascinating to me. Yeah.

And I've seen all the Twilight movies. And the first Twilight movie is really, I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite movies, but it's, I love it. And I will watch it over and over. I've watched it again. It's one of those things that like if it's on TV in a hotel, would you watch it? Like, absolutely. And then I've seen some others in the theater.

theater. I think I just read like the first book and then I just switched to the movies. But yeah, I was really into Twilight. Anyways, I just thought that was fascinating. Yeah. Okay. She was like, what did you just say? Yeah. I'd never heard it before. Then I just leaned into it. Yeah. So we posted the clip. And of course, everyone in the comments, you stole this from, like, people were like, you didn't come up with this yourself, you know?

And so I was like, okay, credit where it's due everybody. Like, I didn't steal it. Parall five. I do want to know the originator. Well, I will also say, I don't know if I'm the originator. I think people have been saying current husband, first husband, starter husband. Right. Starter husband.

You know, like, from the dawn of time. It's not an original joke. People have been making fun of like their first, their marriage for a long time. First husband. I think because I almost, like I said it so many times for so long now that maybe people associated it the most with me. It's not like an original. thought, I will say, I actually got

And so like all the comments were that. So then I just like, I just leaned in and started to say it all the time. So that's how. But it just like came to me. Raina was the one that was like, why did you say current? I kind of just like was like, what? Current fiance is funny because they will not be your fiancee eventually. Yeah. I know. What is your husband like? How did you guys meet? Um, he is really grumpy, moody, um, and an introvert. He's kind of the opposite of me. Um, but we compliment each other so well. Like our relationship is full of laughter and that's like what brings us together. But we met because we went to, there was a bar in LA called Fu Bar and it no longer exists,

but on Thursday night, they had a night called Big Dick Thursdays, which happened every Thursday were in the club. They would, if you wanted, you could go into a back room and print out a photo of your erected penis. Wow. You would take it and print.

In that room, I believe there is a photographer that will take a photo of your erected penis and then they would print out that photo in, I'm assuming the same room, in the club, and then they would hang it up in the middle of the club on like a string. Okay. And so by the end of the night, you would have like about, I want to say 10, on average, or about 10 erected penises, some butts, some boobs, but mostly penises.

And everyone at the end of the night would like clap on which photo was their favorite. And that person would then go on to the stage and they would win a prize. It sounds like you're making this up as you go because it's that incredible. Yeah. You guys haven't gone? No. Can we even reopen this club? I'm sad that I didn't get this opportunity.

But it was a gay club. But you said boobs. I want my 40-year-old boobs up on that thing. But like we're straight women in there. It doesn't seem like that was the vibe. I think, I mean, there were women would go, I mean, mostly men. I feel like percentage-wise, probably like 90% men, 10% women. But yeah, there would be boobs.

There would be butts. Okay. Do you think that you could pick your penis, like, out of a lineup? My own? Yeah. Like, if there was 20 penises. I think so. I think your vagina out of a lineup?

What do you want? And like that had never happened to me before. Like, no, I like, you know, like, I've like met guys at bars, but no one has ever sent me a drink from a bartender. And so it was Ernesto. Okay. He sent a drink. And then he like walked into the crowd. So then when I ordered the drink, I walked up to him and I said, thank you so much.

We hit it off. I lived down the street from this bar. So I invited him back. We ended up coming back up to my apartment. We started making out because I was like, let's steal the deal. When I first saw him, I was like so, he's so high. He's so attractive. Come back to my apartment.

You bought me a drink. You're so cool. And then as we were making out on the couch, he like threw me off. And he said, actually, I don't want to hook up. I'd rather just take your number and take you on a proper date, which had also never happened to me. It doesn't happen to be that much either. Like, I have sex always guys.

Are you like, wait, is this a bit? Well, I was just like, after like drinking all night and like passionately making out in our couch, like, you know, like some heavy petting. I'm just like, usually it seals the deal. And so the final guy he was like, no, I want to take you out on a date. I was like, wait, what? We're like in, we're about to. So we didn't hook up that night.

He got my number. And then we like started dating the next month. And the rest is his dream. That's kind of the opposite. of you and your husband because he was like, I want to take you out on a date. And you're like, you can show up later. Oh, wait, what? That's so true.

You can show up later and I'll fuck you. It's a long story, but I was like a crush of his. He was like kind of a fan, but he just had like a crush on me. So, oh, so like a decade. How are you guys been together a long time? Longer than that. I know. He got me when I was young. He got me when I was in my prime and I told them this all the time. I had just turned 26 when we met and I feel like I had a couple of like good years still left in me before like we started to seriously date.

I mean, I agree. Thank you. I feel like people shouldn't like really settle down until they're 30. But it worked out. Is he, he's older? He's slightly older. Okay. Like about two years.

So I'm 36, he's like 38. Oh, okay. Just a little bit older. He's not like a zaddy. That's a great age. Yeah. Great age difference. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So it's like, I'm just curious. Because you don't see it. Well, we started off as a couple's account. So it was truly Yulein Ernesto in the beginning. We did like weekly YouTube videos once a week. Like we just like randomly kind of like fell into it. We just thought it would be fun. And like we ended up like loving it and editing the videos together and figuring out the

algorithm together and like, oh my God, what are we going to talk about this week? And then we got an instant. to help our like YouTube page. And then when TikTok came out in Reels, that's kind of like when we started to get more traction. But eventually, as things started getting bigger, Ernesto still has like a nine to five. He's like a corporate girly.

Oh, okay. He like he has a full-time job. Like he gets a bonus every year. It's like one of those things. Got it. And so when I started to get more recognizable and our content started to get more recognizable, he was like, I need to,

to take a step back. I think, like, he was like, people are starting to recognize me at work. And, like, he has, like, vendor appointments, and he, like, goes into, like, stores. And he's like, I feel like, if I'm going to be taken seriously, or, like, totally. No one at his job cares. And everyone who organized them is so nice and so sweet and, like, is excited to see him. But I think he, like, started wanting to have a distance between his professional life and his

internet life. He basically took a step back. And so I carried on because I loved it and I wanted to do it. And it was working for me. And then that's when I really exploded was when he stopped working on the social media. And now his name's just there dragging you down. No, I'm just kidding.

Well, actually, I was considering changing it. It should just be your name. Yeah. That's what I was... No shade to him. Like, you know, we don't know him, but like, that's my professional opinion, but that's, you know... But I feel like I'm a little afraid because people know even me as Julian Ernesto.

People won't care. We said this to friends before. Have you changed your name? I changed mine. So my account got really big because I was a food blogger and it was just like a cute, kitsy name. And then we started the podcast and I was like, I just want to post content about me in my life. So I changed it to my,

my just personal name. Yeah. I don't know. You put up an Instagram story and just say like, I'm changed it. Because I thought your last name at first was Ernesto. Yeah. Oh, really?

I think of like Hannah. Remember Hannah was like Bean Burns? You know, like I think of funny. People kind of get to a certain level, which obviously I think you're at and you can just got to make it your name. Yeah. But you do you. Yeah, yeah.

And I was thinking, I think Yuley Morzon is available. You gotta get it. I get it. Yeah, we'll see. But I changed my picture, the icon, on my social media, to a photo of us, to a photo of me. Okay, we're getting there. And people kind of are like, what's going on here?

Are you breaking up? On TikTok, I changed my handle from at Yule and Ernesto to just at Yule, and that got a little, like, people were like, where's Ernesto? Like, he still has a lot of love online. So I'll consider it. Okay. And it also does say like the bold name is Yuley Morzon, but the a is. Is. Okay.

I think what's important is just like the lesson that like once you get a man out of your life, you do blow up. What you like, you know, just like kick him out of there. Yeah, just get a man out of there. And your life will improve. Yes. You'll get more Instagram followers. Yeah.

If you want. Well, there's a whole thing, right, online. And I don't know if you guys experienced this, but like people who follow creators that are single. And like, once they get a boyfriend or like, get a fiance. They were like, I don't want to see him. Like, I don't want him to be in the content.

I want you. Like, that's so, okay, let's unpack that. Because I was having a conversation with one of her girlfriends that's an influencer. And she was single for so long. And then she found this like love of her life. She married the most wonderful person. We love him so much. And she was like, I don't think people wanted that content.

I think people wanted the single girlie content. I validate that like people sign up to watch your content for one reason. Yeah. And when you pivot, they're like, wait, but I didn't agree to this. Yeah. Well, right. Like, I think some of that stems from, like, I'm following this fashion girlie. I don't care about her dusty boyfriend.

Yeah. Like, it depends on, again, like, why you're following them. For me, I felt like people were so invested in my life and my journey to find love because of this podcast. Yeah. So when Shoshan came along, it was, I mean, people really wanted it because of the nature of the content. I said that to her.

Once she was saying that to me, I was like, Ashley and I are really lucky that, like, our business is just dating and relationships. So anything we do, people are. They're part of it. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like, yeah, it depends on like your content. Yeah.

Because I feel like if you follow someone for fitness and then all of a sudden they're showing you like something else, you're just like, wait, what's going on? Like, thankfully when Ernesto left, all our stuff like that did well was also under my perspective anyways. So like even with him being in less videos, it was still like my voice, my tone. And like I just created my chaotic energy that I had my relationship and I just like put it on other things and elsewhere. and it ended up being fine.

But I think you're right. Like if I'm following a girl because of like one thing and then she's a boyfriend. How dare she? But I like the Kanda where it's like immediate unfollow. I didn't,

I don't want to see him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I respect it. I follow these food accounts and like once in a blue moon they'll post like their baby announcement. I'm like, oh, I'm not here to see your face. Yeah.

Right. Oh, like you see only food on our account. See, only food. And I think if you're that specific, it gets a little. What are we? You're not supposed to have a face. I didn't know that you had a family.

How dare you? Yes, get your family. But I also understand if girls were following me because I am a single girl living my best life and then he comes along, I get it if you want to unfollow it. We don't want to see him. And that's fine too. Yeah. Wait, I have a question.

Yeah. So when you guys introduce a guy in your life, is there a level of like discussing things with them? Like how much you talk about them? Like, what did you guys decide like for yourselves? was the answer for you. Do you just put everything out there? It's like, how do you handle that?

And we've evolved. The show's evolved. It's very partner specific for me. I've had people be like, I don't want you to talk about me on the show. And I'll acknowledge that I'm dating somebody, but I'm not going to talk about what their dick looks like. And at this point in my life,

I'm not going to do that at all. But also, like, I've had situations where I've like introduced somebody to this audience. They've been with me for the whole ride and we broke up. I had to talk about that too. Yeah. Like, that's fine.

That's what this podcast is. I can choose. You didn't ask for privacy during a time when you broke up. actually the opposite I was like it was more attention what had to happen was we were touring

and they broke a mid-tour and her material was about him and we had to discuss Raina's level of comfort in which the way her material had to pivot she was like

I don't feel comfortable going and telling the same stories like we're together we're not together so it was like so which were you changed up your entire step because it was about like dating him

and so we have like a show in like seven days so then we had to put the podcast out because we knew thousands of people were going to come to the show and be like, they're broken up. And so she had to kind of rush her statement. No one caring about him at all. Wait, wait, wait.

We were like to show. The podcast episode where it was announced that you guys broke up was going to come out. And then people were going to go see the tour. Three days later. And so you had to really pivot. Yeah, I to text him like, we have shows and I need to announce this now. Yeah. I don't get him about him.

But I mean, I think the. things, I don't want to pretend that they're not on our minds, on my mind all the time. I mean, Shashonk, it was, I think people, when we first started dating, I did like a, sort of soft launch, you couldn't tell who he was. And then I, I remember the hard launch. And people were so obsessed early on because it was like, I'd been single for so long. And I, this was my man. And, you know, I felt uncomfortable. Remember, I, like, called you when I was, like, melting down. I was like, people are sending him stuff from the internet. about him and it made me really upset.

And he doesn't want to be involved in that. Like, he's a private person too. Oh, so he's private. Yeah, I mean, yeah. I feel like I've seen some dipping toes, but nothing crazy. He's a private citizen. Yeah. And his family is private.

Oh, yeah, yeah. I see what I mean, now he created this app, so he's trying to get out there a little bit more. But early on, I was like, I don't want him getting this kind of attention. I don't want people on fucking Reddit, talking shit. Like, it gave me a lot of anxiety. And I was like, I want to pull back. But I don't know.

We didn't, I didn't say his name. until we got married. Yeah. And then we brought him on the podcast. I think, well, it's like a specific name. Yeah,

like it's not like just like, yeah, it's not John. Easy to Google. And so there were just a lot of like calculated decisions along the way. And I think the longer

we dated years, then we got to make, like people started caring less. Like I think that's when someone immediately gets a partner. That's when it's just so much. that people are like, who is he? What does he do? You know, as time went on, people just stop.

And your content is not partner. You're not a couple's account. You're not a couple content. You know, I just like brought in it to the regular audience. Like, you're allowed to get excited about somebody and talk about them. It doesn't work out. That's fine too. Like you see like people being like, I'm so excited.

Oh, wait, never mind. And like we've had to do that on the podcast over the years too. Yeah. There's no shame in it. No shame in it. Oh, no, no, no shame. I just don't know like how you like what you decide. And obviously it's different.

Like, don't worry about it. Like, I was just like. Gaslighting. Like, how we joke. Like, we joke. And I was like, okay, but like, what have I ended up kissing you? Like, what if I came in here? This is a guy that's like not out straight, like, has never said anything about being gay.

I was like, what if I came in and kiss you? And he's like, it wouldn't have been a big deal. Like, we would have laughed it off. Like, he's like, I have other gay friends that I joke around with. Like, it wouldn't have been a big deal. And I was like, it wouldn't have been a big deal to you. Right. And then I start crying.

I'm like, I mean, the tequila's flowing. I'm crying. And I was like, it wouldn't have been a big deal to you because it would have meant nothing to you. It would have meant everything to me. And then you're laughing it off as like the gay guy that ended up kissing a straight guy. And you think it's funny. And like, it's not a joke to me. Like, that's messed up.

Anyways, I'm like, basically like, cussing him. at this point saying like how fucked up it is that like what this could have led to and like how like he thinks it's funny you know right it's not a deal yeah um and then the next day after coming down what happened oh we don't hook up or anything no but was he receptive to that he was receptive to it okay he was like i understand like i'm so sorry he like apologized he's like i understand i'm so sorry like but i meant it as something fun and cheeky like how our relationship is which was flirty but you're flirty with me. Yeah.

And you know what you did. Yeah. And so that would make me feel crazy. Yeah. And so I felt like I felt like I was like I'm going insane because part of our flirty relationship was like wondering like if actually something would end up happening. Like how far could I take it? And to make a long story short, the next day we ended up like chatting on Facebook Messenger.

I love this. Such a nostalgic story. It happened a long time ago. And then I basically was like sorry. I felt like my reaction was a lot. I think it's just because I like you more than just a friend, more than just a flirting relationship. I just like like you. I have a crush

on you and I think that just like triggered me. And then he was like, I'm so sorry about that. Like, you know, I am straight. Like, but like I love you. I love our relationship. And then we kind of never talked again. Oh, okay. So you didn't like stay friends after that. It's tough. I mean, we kind of like... Unfortunately, you had to be like the sacrificial lamb.

I hope he learned a lesson from that. But like, it does mean something to people when you say things like that. Yeah. I'm also proud of you. I'm proud of the old... the old you. Yeah.

For like saying something. It is hard. It's really embarrassing to be like, I like you. But it doesn't even gay, straight, whatever. It's just like, why not just say the thing? Which is totally not like me too. I would never, like I'm not used to. Like I said, I would have Christians on these guys and just work with them and just like wonder the whole time.

I'd never confront. I'd never just like. Well, because it's easier than getting the answer. Yeah. Like rejection is so much harder. And part of it was like also like a strategy for me to like never meet someone that was available. You know, like if I only had crushes on guys that I didn't know their sexuality. presumably straight.

Like it was like a defense mechanism because like then I could never get really hurt if I knew there was like actual potential. Well this is like why I've been attracted to emotionally available people my whole life. I mean if it don't live in the same city as me or we're never going to want the same stuff.

Right. It happens regardless of your sexuality. Yeah. But like it's the same defense mechanism of like we can't end up together so this is safe for me. Yes. Because I know what the end is.

I read this book before. Right. Did you work through that? Like did you have come to that conclusion on your own? or like in terms of pursuing people as a defense mechanism? Or was that like any therapy or were you just like, I'm doing this thing? Because now you're in a healthy relationship with someone who wanted to be with you.

I don't think. Or you just outgrow it. What a beautiful question. I think I just outgrew it. Also, I think I went to UC Davis, which is a big college, but it's in Northern California. It's a cow town. There's not a big gay scene there. There's not a lot of like gay people there.

And the one gay person was my best friend, Jazz. You know, like, I'm sure there's more, but the one person that I really knew was my best friend jazz. Once I moved to L.A. and we went out to West Hollywood and all these guys started flirting with me, I was like, oh, yeah. There was a little bit of like, not wanting to be in a relationship, but there was also a little bit of like, these are my only options. These straight men that are flirting with me once I came to L.A., and there was so many guys, it kind of went away because I'm like, oh, yeah, let's look up. But I will say there probably still is a little part of me that holds on to that because now I'm, I have crushes on all these celebrities that Ernesto would say, I can't have. Okay, well, I'm manifesting.
