Welcome to The Snack, a lighter serving of Girls Got to Eat.
This is a Deer Media production.
Enjoy.
Hi, guys.
E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles.
All Eagles episode.
Can you imagine?
Am I just to say something?
Like, do you say go birds after that?
Fly.
Eagles fly on the road to victory.
Can I talk?
Hit him low.
Hit him high.
And watch those Eagles fly.
No.
I didn't realize that the celebrity.
fandom of the Eagles.
I just, I didn't know how many people were from Philly, how many huge celebrities.
Like, it's not just like who went to the game.
It's like people that are like native to Philadelphia.
No, like Bradley Cooper is our spokesperson.
Like, are people even understanding the hype videos?
He's narrating them.
Like, he brought them out of the tunnel.
John Hamm brought out the Chiefs Y.
John Hamm looks so dusty.
Like, I was like, that's not John Ham.
That's not Don Draper.
Don Draper.
He got booed.
John Ham's like, fuck all of y'all.
I'm out here.
Don fucking Draper.
And now seeing this team as they run out of the tunnel and I'm getting booed.
I mean, is he from Kansas City?
I actually have no idea.
Okay.
He's like, now do Taylor.
Well, you know, I thought I knew most of like our people.
Like, you know, obviously like Bradley Cooper and Miles Teller and I knew Kevin Hart was a big fan.
I didn't know Anne Hathaway.
I'm telling you, these took me by surprise.
I did not know.
It's just, I mean, I'm a lifelong Steelers fan.
I love them so much.
But there's not like celebrity Steelers fan.
No, I mean, there's pie.
I mean, that Snoop Dog made the Pirates hat, like really famous.
Okay.
The Pittsburgh Pirates, like the yellow pea hat.
But, like, Steelers don't have any famous.
That is true.
No, I love being an Eagles fan.
It feels so good.
I mean, you're honorary.
I just, I like their shit.
I sent you this thing this morning.
I get served it all the time.
Rich people who rich right.
Mm-hmm.
Jalen Hertz.
And Jalen Hertz was on there.
And usually they just talk about people's outfits and how they dress,
which there's so much to work with him.
But on top of it,
they talked about all of his charitable efforts.
They do so much for the community.
Yeah.
Did you, Bradley Cooper,
the little boy he was holding.
Don't,
I'll cry right now,
Declan.
Don't get me start on Declan.
Bradley was on his, like,
food truck,
just handing out.
I will,
that the Eagles,
like, autism foundation.
I could cry right now.
I can't,
I can't get into like what they do for the community.
They're really the best.
Their social media is the best.
We have had it confirmed from someone who worked at the
Cowboys organization that the Eagles social media is the best in the biz in the league.
Okay.
You know what?
We'll get into it.
Yeah.
We'll take our partners and we'll get into it.

So we are just going to talk about the Super Bowl a lot.
I mean, there was just so much to talk about.
I don't know if you look this up as stat.
Was it the biggest blowout in like Super Bowl history?
Oh, that stat?
I feel like I should know that.
It was the most watched Super Bowl.
Wait, it was?
In Super Bowl history.
Okay.
Yeah.
Who do you think brought more viewers, Taylor or Trump?
Jalen.
And Seekwan and Slay Jr.
And Jordan Malata.
Clay Jr.
Sle Jr.
No, because Slea, Papa.
That's his name.
You dare to Sle.
I know.
And he'll come up.
Again, you're not even ready for how else he's going to appear in this episode.
Can I tell you, so Jordan Maylotta is one of my hall passes.
He is an offensive tackle for the Eagles, and he's number 68.
He's from Australia.
He, like, never played American football in his life.
And that's your hall pass.
I just think, I just love him, but now someone, I just adore him.
And he, like, and he sings.
He's, like, part of, like, you don't think he's hot?
Maybe I googled the wrong person.
This guy?
Well, Raina, you put up some old pictures.
No, I don't.
What even is that?
500 pounds.
No, you have to dive into him because he loves Beyonce.
He, I just am obsessed with his whole vibe.
You know what he said, Raina?
Did you see this clip?
He was on the field with somebody and he was like, he said to someone like right
after he tackle them.
He was like, the line from that Bain says.
He was like, I was wondering which would break first your body or your spirit.
face on the...
Yeah, it's like he's talking shit.
I was wondering what you'd break fast.
Your spirit or your body.
So I'm saying this because someone DM'd me and was like, Ashley, why is number 68 on the equals the exact mix of your fiancé and your brother?
And why is that so accurate?
It is Matt.
Why is Jordan Maylotta exact?
My lot of.
And I was like, sis, you're right.
And he's one of my hall passes.
And this is weird now.
Well, you remember what I thought that stripper was hot?
And you guys thought he looked like my brother?
Sexy.
And then to make it even weirder, I texted my brother a photo.
That was so fucking weird.
It's one of those weird Raynal moments where Reynolds's flirting with her family.
Like when you sent your dad that sexy pick from Miami.
That was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.
It was so.
You showed me that.
Raina is on the sidelines at Soundcheck.
Checking out this guy.
She's like,
oh, he's so sexy.
I'm like,
he looks like Arlen.
You text Arlen.
You're like,
there's this hot stripper here.
I've been eye fucking and he looks like you.
I was like,
what is the Greenberg family?
It's because I come from a divorce family.
There's no mom to like keep us a check.
I feel like people in the comments are like,
I also come from a broken family and we don't.
That's sexy pig.
I said my dad was really weird.
I said the same pick to somebody I was sleeping with.
That was so weird.
Tesla looks more uncomfortable than I've ever seen her be.
I had so much fun watching this.
I host Dussela Roll Party and then they open, Lady Gaga opened,
and then they immediately go into this drumline.
Your brother said it's a famous drumline.
I missed that.
Was it Trombone Shorty?
It's like 100 people on the field.
I have no idea.
I don't want to misspeak.
I think Trombone Shorty was there.
They're a famous New Orleans band.
I love that.
them. And then someone said Harry Connick Jr. was in that? I did. I said, but I couldn't tell
it. Okay. It looked like Harry Connick Jr. But, oh, you just said that. It just could not
been. I'm sure Trambon Shorty was there. They performed with Lauren Dagle, who sang America
the Beautiful. So that's, right. During that. Okay. It was incredible. I was so high. I was
alone at my house, just like marching along with the marching band. I was so much fun. Tessa,
look up biggest Super Bowl blowouts. I don't think that it was. It would have been when it was 40 to 6, I think.
like when it was actually 40 to 6.
It's just, I've said to you the thing that was so shocking was that like,
sometimes like a team will accidentally make it to the Super Bowl and you're like,
how did they get here?
But like these are the two best teams like by far in the NFL.
Like they dominate every single week.
And like to watch one of them lose this, this big was shocking.
I've never seen anything.
And like it, I have also never seen a couple lose so big in one week.
Taylor Swift lost the entire Grammys.
Travis Kelsey got his ass handed to him.
It was great.
One week.
I know.
And she had that pussy chain around her neck.
She had her little T pussy chain.
You think she took it off halfway through.
She's like, fuck this chain.
She's like, just got bad juju.
Just get out of here.
Right.
Like I wore to the Grammys and that's the bad luck pussy chain.
That's so funny.
I mean, I will say, the game was boring.
And I loved it because I didn't have to stress.
I mean, I was getting a little stress.
I was like they could still come back.
I'm scarred forever from 2017 when I was rooting for the Falcons.
I had just moved from Atlanta and they were up 30 points above the Patriots.
And then the Patriots came back.
This was one of the biggest comebacks in Super Bowl history probably.
So I'm always like, I never get too comfortable.
But it was just like, I mean, Jalen Hertz dominated.
There wasn't any really big explosive plays from Sequin Barclay.
It was his birthday.
Happy birthday, Sequan.
But, I mean, they still played together as a team.
Jalen just absolutely.
was phenomenal. He was the MVP of the game, hottest man alive. And it was just fun to watch
because I'm an Eagles fan. But like it wasn't any sort of back and forth exciting game in that
aspect. I didn't watch one minute of that game. All I did was drink and hang out, flit around.
And like I mean, it was like watching a JV team play a professional team. And it's shocking because
you're talking about like one of the most famous and like well known successful quarterback receiver
pairs in the history of time.
And like, how did this happen?
I love to see it.
But, like, it was, it was boring and I liked that.
I didn't really have to pay attention.
Yeah, I know.
I mean, my, yeah, my stress levels never really my heart rate, you know.
But we talk about how, like, these things are rigged.
And, like, it's like, I saw this TikTok in the morning and it said, like, the Super Bowl script was leaked and that, like, the Eagles were going to be way ahead at halftime.
And then, like, Travis Kelsey was going to have some big speech.
And they were going to, like, come back.
They were going to be down by.
Like a movie?
A big locker room speech.
But, like, people say.
I know.
I was like, are we filming these things?
People say it's rigged.
And I was, honestly, like, I had of this bad feeling that, like, Trump wants the chiefs
to win.
Obviously, he loves Brittany Mahomes.
Now she's like this MAGA wag.
Yeah.
And, like, he just is, like, more of a chiefs guy.
I mean, chiefs, the chiefs are MAGA, you know, like the owners, whatever, like,
the whole thing.
And I just was like, he's going to be there.
And, like, just with what's happening with his overreach and everything, I was just.
like, what if, you know, what if he's
threatening the NFL, you know?
And I just had that, like, sickening feeling.
And I don't think that's ridiculous
considering everything else that's happening in the world.
And so I was like, I
need the Eagles to just fucking mop
the floor with the Chiefs for me
to, like, feel safe. And that's what they
did. I mean, it was
so shocking. I mean, his allegiance
to the Chiefs, you know, and their allegiance to him.
And even Travis Kelsey, like,
was quoted in this interview. I wrote
down the quote. It's about Donald Trump coming to
the Super Bowl, first president to go to the Super Bowl.
Sort of sitting president.
First president for us to pay for him to go to the Super Bowl.
Sure.
Yeah.
Your tax dollars at work.
Yeah, you guys saving money now?
You brought a bunch of people.
It's a great honor, I think, no matter who the president is, I'm excited because it's
the biggest game in my life and having the presidents there.
It's the best country in the world, and it would be pretty cool.
This is a person who tweeted out.
I hate your girlfriend.
I kind of forget about that tweet sometimes.
Like, that was real life.
No, that was, I hate Taylor Swift.
All caps, middle school.
And then as they're booing her at the stadium tweets out again,
Maga never forgets or something like that.
No, like he really did try to dunk on her.
He was like, what do you say?
Like, what was this tweet?
The only person that lost worse than the chiefs was Taylor Swift.
If he wasn't our president, this man.
Like, he thinks he's Kendrick?
I know he thinks he's Kendrick?
I feel like this is like the other beef.
Oh my God.
But like I liked the comparison.
of Travis Kelsey versus Jalen Hertz.
Not that they're quarterback for quarterback.
You know, they're different positions.
But, you know, obviously it's like stars of the team.
And Jalen Hertz got asked during a press conference last week.
Is there more added pressure because the president's going to be there?
And he just goes, no, ma'am, and like turns his head.
Like, next question, please.
Also, Jalen Hertz, a lot of people don't know this.
He's an all female management team.
Do you know this?
No.
Everyone that works for him is female.
Like, it just is like, they're, it's such a good team to be a proud of.
They have a woman coach.
They have a woman performance coach.
Autumn Lockwood is her name.
And she, the first black female assistant coach to win the Super Bowl.
So we love that stat.
That's crazy.
But anyway.
So the Eagles, I don't know if people know this in 2017 famously rejected going to the White House.
They did not want to meet Donald Trump essentially.
Well, yeah.
I love that narrative.
There was, I feel like it's enough.
But you say narrative is not true?
Well, it's like enough of them didn't want to go.
And then he got to say he uninvited them, I think.
Oh.
They didn't want to go.
Right.
The team didn't want to go.
and then so he was like, they're not invited anymore.
That's like, it's like, I quit.
I quit.
You can't quit.
You can't quit.
You can't cancel your Super Bowl party because no one, RCPs.
You're like, it's actually canceled.
I can't, I can't have it anyway.
You can't come.
Nothing made me laugh harder than Travis Kelsey's Super Bowl outfits.
Walking in, I'm like looking at it right now.
He's in a burnt orange pimp suit.
Ron Burgundy.
I mean, it is completely insane.
The jacket comes down to his knees.
He's wearing penny loafers.
It looks so stupid, but you're like, okay, if he wins, sure.
It's a victory outfit.
It is.
But then he changed and he had to walk out of the stadium.
And, like, you think he would have brought like a backup outfit or something?
And he was like, nah.
I mean, he, did you get a good look at the outfit?
Yes.
So you guys should watch YouTube.
It is a sequin blouse.
Oh, I did not realize it was shiny like that.
A shiny sequin blouse.
This is Studio 50.
vibes over here.
I mean, it is shiny sequin.
The disco ball.
That is a celebration outfit.
And Kate Kennedy, who we love, she posted some funny commentary about the Super Bowl.
There was a picture of him coming out of the locker room wearing that, like post game,
looking all sad.
And she goes, I too can relate to being sad and going out top.
Like, I felt that in my soul.
Like, how many times have we been all dressed up and like sad?
Trying in the bathroom?
Like leaving the club, like in tears.
You're going out of.
But I told you guys, Eagles are going to win.
And any you guys who said the chiefs are going to win can suck my dick, and I knew it.
Like that sandwich shop that I picked up those sandwiches from in the morning.
I will not name names because it's one person that works there.
Bay cities.
I went and picked up sandwiches, and the guy was like, can I help you out to your car?
And I was like, that would be great.
And I was like, you guys are so busy?
Are you excited at the Super Bowl?
And he was like, yeah, but he was like, the chiefs are going to win.
And the eels didn't go, they didn't go to the White House.
And they disrespected Donald Trump.
they're going to fucking lose this time.
I mean, he was so in my face about this.
I was like, I have never regretted allowing a man to just help me with a sandwich
tray so much in my life.
It's so crazy.
Are you lacking people to speak to?
You have to talk to a customer like this.
Like, I should not be picking up an Italian hoagy and have to talk to you about your
political beliefs.
I can't talk about my political beliefs enough.
And I'm not doing it with strangers like that.
Because it's like, we don't know where you stand.
You're a stranger.
I'm going to have this weird interaction with you.
Also, like, yeah, he works there.
You're a customer.
Yeah.
And you would already paid.
I was like, I would have thrown those subs.
After your party, there was like a tray left of them because I was like, I'm not
eating those magasubs.
And so I was like, I'm going to go throw them at the window and just write go birds
and like blood.
Ashley gets arrested.
Yeah.
It would be worth it.
It is a shocking thing for me in general, like in Uber's and things like that when
people will share their political beliefs with you because I'm just like, don't
even have people to talk to during the day.
No.
I don't need to.
Clearly not.
Oh, I don't need to speak to.
to you about this. So this is, we're going to talk about a little bit about the app time,
but, you know, we did want to talk about this whole Donald Trump being cheered, Taylor Swift being
booed thing. They didn't show Donald Trump a lot, a lot, which I appreciated. They, I think they
did it during the national anthem on purpose. And that's the only time I saw him. I mean,
again, I guess I watched, I did watch most of the game. My eyes weren't glued to the TV the entire time.
We were at a party, you know, and it was just like going my way. So, you know, I didn't feel
like I didn't have to be as locked in. But they showed him during the national anthem. And
You know, my feeling is that I'm sure a lot of people in that stadium wanted to boo him,
but I don't think you're going to boo during the national anthem.
I think that people who wanted to cheer for him, cheered for him in that moment,
and people who wanted to boo weren't going to feel comfortable booing during our national anthem.
I mean, I think you kept it in the box.
Like, I don't even know if I, it's just during the, it's just like the timing.
I almost feel like that's when they decided to show him because of that.
And I mean, Taylor Swift, I, I, I, I,
think she represents the chiefs and I think like I in like the most philly fan way I can see a world in which
she gets booed because of that like if people want to take this narrative that it's like between her
and Trump and they hate women and they love him that's fine I'm not refuting it I just think I understand
why philly fans booed Taylor Swift I mean she also was notoriously previously an Eagles fan she represents
the chiefs and she's the most famous wag of the most famous player on the team and
second most famous player, whatever you guys think.
And so to me, I'm like, I'm not condoning it.
I would never boo Taylor Swift, but don't you, to me, I'm like, well, she's a chief,
she's like a symbol of the chiefs.
I just took it as Donald Trump.
You did.
Oh, you did?
Yeah, I think it's the South.
I think it's a heavily male crowd.
I think it's, right?
And people do like to hate on her in terms of football.
I think he really encourages it.
I think your average football fan also just kind of doesn't like the hype around her in
general and just like how much attention she's got at these games.
I could not care less.
I'm wearing a Taylor sweatshirt.
Yeah.
I think it's just weird as an adult to boo another adult.
It's like crazy.
I also would not be the president.
I would not,
like be in a stadium with the president right there and be booing out loud.
I would not.
I wouldn't do it to the national anthem, but I would, I would.
I just,
in public like that,
like I think it starts fights with people.
It would scare me.
Yeah, that's fair.
To like do something like that.
I just,
you don't need to do it.
Yeah,
I, of course I don't condone people booing her.
It just is like,
you know,
Philly fans.
are famously booed Santa Claus.
I don't know.
Like I'm not blaming it on Philly fans.
I think Chiefs fans don't like her too.
You know,
like so certainly MAGA people don't like her.
It just was like,
I'm wondering what the breakdown would have been.
And I also, again, like I can't stress enough.
I just don't think people who felt like
they wanted to boo the president
were going to do it at that moment.
But yeah, I was just like, why is she getting boo?
I hated it.
I hated to see it.
But I'm also like, well, you know,
Philly fans are going to, I don't know.
And I don't want to blame them.
either because those are my people. Philly fans are going to Philly
though. If anybody's going to boo somebody.
But there's a way, I don't know.
It's like I want to like if there was like the alternative of this really
symbolic Eagles superstar girlfriend with the chiefs boo it like is it all kind of
could have been in good fun but it didn't feel that way because we're comparing it to
Trump and it gets political. You know what I mean? But like nobody and I know Trump has
aligned himself with Brittany Mahomes and vice versa but like nobody booed her.
Right.
Well, did they, I didn't even see her.
I don't think I actually saw her.
Yeah.
But.
Yeah, it's just, I hate it for Taylor Swift.
She's like, come on.
I didn't, this sucks.
It was so lame.
Like, I like her face.
She kind of brushed it off.
Like, it just, like, it did.
It felt like cringe, like punch in the gut moment for me.
I just didn't, I hated to see it.
Yeah.
So I'm not to.
Yeah.
And she's like, I've sold this stadium out like three times.
Yeah.
Keep going.
All right.
You want to talk about the halftime show?
I do.
Um, you want to go first?
show me you want to go first? What take are you doing?
Fashion?
Huh? Ha? Fashion?
I'm going to do an overall take.
Okay. I think that the internet is really divided and I think it depends on how far you've
dove into the meaning of this halftime show, right? Because it was highly symbolic
and political and if you understand the beef between Kedric Lamar and Drake, if you do not
understand any of those things, if you have not been an internet warrior like I have been
like, what is the meaning of all these things? And like Samuel L. Jackson being there.
And Serena Williams, I think you're like, this was not the correct performer for the Super Bowl because he does not have a catalog like other people have in the past.
So you're talking Rihanna, Beyonce, and everybody's up out of their seats singing it.
They know it.
He just doesn't have like a performance history like those people.
And so I think your average person doesn't know a lot of these songs, so it's less fun.
To me, it was a Grammy performance, not a Super Bowl performance.
Totally.
So that's my take.
But I actually overall, it was an enjoyable performance.
I think he's a good performer.
I didn't hate the dancers.
I didn't hate the costumes.
I love the bell bottoms.
Do you know they're Celine?
His boot cut jeans.
Oh, I thought they were Belantiaga.
Oh, I thought they were Celine.
But Levi's 501s, or they're a good.
They might be silly.
I've heard conflict.
Boot cut jeans back for boys.
I mean, that was crazy.
That's his platform.
So that's my stance overall.
It wasn't for me.
I'm like used to being up out of my seat.
So excited and singing.
I'm not like a Kendrick fan like that.
I don't know his music like that.
Yeah.
That's my Sam.
I know. I was like, everybody in the room. I was like, start singing anybody. Sing one lyric until we get to a minor. Like, you guys don't know anything. I don't. You know, like, and I feel like that was probably the vibe in a lot of living rooms in America. But, you know, I will say, given the state of the country right now where we have a president and an administration who are being so brazenly and unapologetically racist, like we've never seen. I am glad we had a halftime show where the performers weren't.
not white, where a message was sent, there is a black Uncle Sam and, like, his commentary as well,
the mention of the revolution, all while the president was there was powerful.
Like, Kendrick Lamar always has something to say, and he's not afraid to say it.
And I'm glad that he was the performer as opposed to something that didn't send a message
during this time during this Super Bowl while the president was there.
I mean, he took shots at Drake.
He's obsessed with Drake.
no one's more obsessed with Drake.
I'm just like, are we done with this?
How are we going to write another album?
He's just like, it's been a year.
Like, if you're still Team Kendrick, you're like, he buried him.
That's fine. Good for you.
I just, for me, I'm like, all right, he's still going.
His full-time job is hating Drake.
He's got to go therapy and he's got to learn, talk to Mel Robbins,
and learn how to let it go.
But as the performance, like the performance itself,
does it really matter what I think or what anyone thinks about the performance
because the symbolism and the message was there,
and I really do appreciate it.
I don't think it was that hype,
but I just don't think he's the best performer.
You mentioned his catalog.
I feel the same way.
We've seen him in concert.
He's just not that explosive or exciting to me.
I respect his artistry.
I respect that he has something to say.
So does it matter what I think?
I don't know.
I appreciated the moment in time that it was done.
I liked having Siza.
I love the Serena thing.
And people are talking about Serena,
her Crip Walk cameo in relation to Drake.
But it also is in relation to her crippwalking
at Wimbledon in 20,
2012 and being critiqued for that.
And so she also did a little differently.
She went a full send on the Crip Walk and she posted on Twitter.
She was like, I never would have done that at Wimbledon.
I would have gotten fined.
Like I liked that whole moment.
But, you know, it's just kind of like, so it wasn't that hype, but it was perfectly timed.
And I appreciate the message.
You know, Drake shots aside, I'm not, I just don't like Kendrick that much.
But I really do respect the message that was sent.
And it was funny because I was talking to somebody and they were like, well, the message
of the Super Bowl and all this was going to be about ending hate, he should have
Drake out, unite the nation.
I mean, can you imagine?
It would have been the best moment of my life.
I would have died.
Yeah, it would have been incredible.
But I will also say this, that, like, I didn't need it because we had the Beyonce
Bowl.
That was six weeks ago.
The Beyonce Bowl was the best halftime show, Super Bowl is included, to ever happen.
That is my strong opinion.
Like, what we saw on Christmas Day, I thought was better than any halftime show I've ever seen.
Her previous halftime shows?
No, the Beyonce, the Christmas.
She's done the Super Bowl.
Yeah.
Like, it thought it was better.
Better.
I thought that was the best thing I'd ever seen.
It was unreal.
I watched it on Netflix weekly.
I cry every time I watch it.
It was the greatest thing.
I like, I mean, I loved her Super Bowl performances.
Like, everything she does.
But all I'm saying is we just had this incredible halftime show.
Thank God for her.
Yeah.
And so I'm fulfilled.
I'm all set.
That was, you know, not too long ago.
And so I just feel like we just.
had that. We had Kendrick doing this with all the symbolism and the messaging, like,
I feel great about it. But yeah, like, I was watching it just like, eh. Yeah. But like, that
wasn't what was important to me. Like, you know, the flag and the dancers and it was, I'm,
I'm glad it was him when it comes down to it. And because not everybody would have had the balls to
kind of do what he did. No. And I just, I think to really understand this, it's funny because
I said to Tessa, I was like, people hated it. She was like,
like not on my corner to the internet, go on TikTok.
And if you really get involved in the messaging,
you've got to read an article about it to understand it.
In the moment, I'm half drunk, I'm watching a football game,
and I'm trying to like march around to Rihanna.
Yeah.
You know?
But it was deeply symbolic if you actually, like, want to get into it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, so tons of celebrities came to the Super Bowl.
Like I said, I didn't really know how many people were like Eagles fans.
But this is kind of tangential to a dating topic that I wanted to bring up to.
But Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover, recent breakup.
They were both at the Super Bowl with like different people.
I saw Paige in a photo with like Caitlin Bristow and the girls from chicks in the office who we love.
And I thought this was interesting.
So he was on Watch What Happens Live recently.
And I wanted to just get your take on like what he said.
So to give you the full scope, I guess they broke up in November.
She right before New Year's goes on our podcast and says we broke up.
It was mutual.
It was very pretty kind about it, I thought, but kind of just mum on the details.
And then he last week, she's been accused, by the way, of cheating on him.
He has not publicly responded.
So he goes on Washington Happens Live this week, and he's being asked about it.
And he very, very, like, didn't mince words, was like, she went on her podcast and lied.
This is not a mutual breakup.
I'm not going to defend her for cheating on me or not cheating on me.
I got broken up with.
I want nothing to do with this.
Leave me out of it.
And I was wondering your take on what you would do.
Do you think she, quote, unquote, lied?
What would you do if you're in the situation?
If you're him, how do you feel about the situation?
I think every breakup is so different in the relationship that you have towards the end and the level of discussing breaking up.
Like, I don't, I mean, do you think after this many years, like, it was out of the blue?
No.
Was Paige wanting to break up with him for a long time?
And he was just begging her not to and trying to make it work.
And then she finally just had to cut the court.
And it was a really upsetting experience for him.
Like, I don't know all the ins and outs.
I mean, we obviously know Paige.
We don't know her like that.
I haven't talked to her about her breakup.
But if you are ending it amicably, do you discuss it of how it's going to be spoken about
on your podcast?
You know, are you saying it was mutual because you want to soften the blow?
You don't want to go on this huge show and say, I dumped him?
Like, I don't know.
Like, if I was ending a long-term relationship with someone I really still cared about a lot,
I would probably be like, what would make you feel comfortable?
while I tell millions of people this.
Totally.
I don't, you know, it seems like he took it as like, no, she dumped me.
And I hate that.
And I am pissed that she's saying it was mutual because it wasn't.
But is she over here, like, just trying to soften the blow and not make him look like a bitch?
Yeah.
I mean, to me, it's just a gracious way to speak to somebody, speak about somebody.
Yeah.
Like to millions of people.
I mean, what's the alternative?
You get on there and you're like, I broke up with him, I left him.
And they've only really had one storyline on Southern Charm and Summerhouse between the two of them,
which is like, when's this person going to move to this city?
And I think they have fundamental differences and who wants to live where.
And to me, that is mutual.
We mutually do not want to live in the same place.
Totally agree.
I mean, I think honesty is the best when you're a person who is being honest on your podcast
and there is someone out there who could contradict your story.
Like I'm thinking of a time recently where a woman said she broke up with a man and it was Dale Moss and his ex gaily.
They broke up.
If you guys don't know, Dale, I mean, he was on this podcast forever ago.
We discovered Dale.
And he was on the bachelor, bachelorette.
And he won essentially and got engaged to Claire Crawley, whatever.
But he was dating this woman.
And she went on our podcast and very gently just said things that probably were hurtful for.
him or anyone who cares about him to hear.
Like, I just knew something wasn't there.
And I think the quote that I read was she thought to herself, like, if we were to break up,
how would that make me feel?
You know, it wouldn't, like, crush me and I knew that something wasn't right.
Like, she owned it.
And I don't know if that was discussed between the two of them.
We could have Dale on to ask him.
But I don't know.
I never know.
Like, I guess you think you're doing right by the person by saying it was mutual, but maybe
you are doing them a disservice because that's not their truth.
It's just, it's interesting because he also has a platform and he's welcome to go use it.
And I just think like if it was me, what would I want?
And I've broken up with people over the seven years that we've had this podcast.
I've ended relationships.
I sugarcoat that shit.
I'm not going to go on this podcast and bury them publicly to hundreds of thousands of people
and really say what I think about them.
When at the end of it, they were a nice person.
They treated me well.
It ended for various reasons.
But I'm not, I don't need to discuss that publicly.
I'd rather just say some kind words and move along.
And she said he's a great person.
Whoever ends up with him is really lucky.
And to me, that's not a lie.
But you're right.
Every person is different, like what they want you to say.
For him, though, I do understand him saying, like, well, she did leave me and I don't need
to make public statements defending her.
Totally.
That's his absolutely, like, I respect his decision to do that.
But I also just want to be so clear that I'm not even saying Paige wasn't truthful.
Like you said, like, she could have been like, this felt mutual in terms of like our futures
weren't aligning.
So maybe I finally pulled the point.
plug. Maybe we were like on life support for a while and I'm the one that did it, but it's still
like, I'm not wrong in feeling that it's mutual the ending of this partnership. Yeah. And sometimes
you do it to be the one to end it. He was saying, I watch what happens live. Like, I don't like
this whole stance of like love doesn't conquer all. Love does conquer all. And I was like, oh, no.
Disagree. Disagree. Yeah. I mean, they like weren't aligned. Yeah. You know, so it's just weird.
I'm like, I don't, I can't pick aside here. I'm just like they both are feeling what
they're feeling. I just, I guess I
struggle with it being called a lie because I'm like, to
me that was just like a gracious thing
to do for somebody that you
were with for a long time and not go
on a public platform and be like, I dumped his
ass. Right. And some people feel
uncomfortable doing that. They feel like
they don't want to sound like that. Like, oh, I'm
trying to be like a bad bitch and like I dumped it.
Yeah. I don't know. Whatever.
So I was excited to unpack it with you.
I find it interesting. Okay. Well, let's
talk about our partners and we will get
back into it. All right, you guys. I am
loving my new Brooklyn in bedding. I just moved into a new house and so I thought it was time to

love everything symbiotica does. I also take the super greens. I mentioned that before and the
omega. So this is an oil. It supports brain, eye, and heart health. It reduces inflammation. It's

We love those things.

crazy and I'm like hungry and bloated at the same time and then I'm like I want to crush a meal but
like I haven't pooped you get so sluggish I know I can't function I know by 2 p.m. days over and then
you're like stressed and then you can't go even more you know what I mean you're having like
constipation stress it's I mean you know being regular is really important to me um I talk about

for 20% off your entire order. All right. So to round this out, you have this idea. It really
made me laugh. You wanted to put together... Well, you introduce it. Well, I wanted to put
together our own unqualified cabinet, because there's no cabinet more unqualified than the current one.
It goes without saying, I mean, there's probably more that have been confirmed by this time airs.
It's just like, I can't, I'm laughing so I don't cry.
A lot of pushback on a lot of the cabinet picks and a lot of people that are truly not
qualify for these highest positions in the government.
So we were like, let's put together our own.
And, you know, the difference of ours is some of the people we're choosing are probably
actually good people.
All of mine are good people.
Okay.
And I, so I have some definitive picks and then I have a couple that I wanted to like Democratic
vote on.
And you, so you divided these up and you gave me a bunch of stuff, I don't know what it is.
So I had to Google what all these are.
I tried to, I tried to take some, like, of the ones, like, I tried to take some the less
excited ones.
I just didn't know what's.
I tried to be, um, diplomatic.
Diplomatic about it, but we'll, maybe, you know.
Okay.
Do you want to kick it off?
Okay.
Okay.
I'm going to kick it off with the Department of Agriculture.
Okay.
I think that my cabinet pick to run the Department of Agriculture, Martha Stewart.
She can just run it like her garden, agriculture.
Yes.
She's a queen.
And then, cook.
No chair, Snoop Dog, also good at agriculture.
Smoking weed.
Wait, I love this pick.
And I wrote down Martha Stewart because I was going to try to slot her into something.
And I don't think I came up with anything.
Okay, there we go.
Okay, Department of the Interior, I don't really know what they do.
But you said I like interior design.
I picked Tim Gunn.
Okay.
And he's in fashion.
And I think he would just walk around going, make it work.
And I think that would be funny in a cabinet meeting.
So, yeah, so exactly.
Like, I think Rain and I are acting like the president himself.
You know, like the president probably thinks the Department of Interior does mean design.
So that's why I was just like, let's, you like interior design.
You got this one.
Yes.
Okay.
Department of Defense, Darius Slay Jr.
Slay.
One of the best defensive players on the winning world champion, Philadelphia Eagles,
Slai Jr., Department of Defense.
Okay.
Okay, Department of Justice.
I have two.
We're going to judge Judy.
by the backup of
El Woods.
Because I also
There are fictional picks in here.
El Woods.
Elwoods.
A hundred percent.
Okay.
And Elle we trust.
Like it's hard?
Okay.
So I...
Literally that's all the picks right now are like, what?
Like it's hard.
Okay.
So El Woods.
Department of Justice.
Okay.
Department of Education.
I'm going Janelle James from Abbott Elementary.
You know,
she's the school principal on the show.
She's just acting.
And so I think she's qualified for that.
reason. She plays a great principal on a TV show. That's how unsurious these cabinet picks are.
She plays one on TV. Actually, listen, I'm glad that you did that because I'm going to do one like
that too. Department of Veteran Affairs responsible for providing services and support to military
veterans and families. Miles Teller. Played a pilot in the military. A hundred percent. He was in
Top Gun. In a movie. Miles Teller. Oh, my God.
Glenn Powell is his co-chair.
Okay, Tom Cruise.
Okay, Department of Energy.
Obviously, Beyonce.
She's a song called Energy.
She's going to run the department with that same energy.
Who has more energy?
Exactly.
So easy.
Whole ass song called Energy.
She's got this.
Okay.
Department of Labor.
So what they do, they policy and programs that protect workers, promote fair wages.
I pick Taylor Swift.
Okay.
Because she's well known for treating her team really well, paying really well.
great bonuses, fair working practice.
Okay.
Procedures?
Fair working conditions?
Fair working conditions.
I love it.
Okay.
Okay.
Department of Health and Human Services.
I'm going to stick with RFK because he really seems like he knows what he's doing.
Can you imagine?
No, I'm bringing Dr. Fauci back.
I took this one seriously.
Dr. Fauci is coming back.
I miss him so much.
Okay.
Department of State handling the United States foreign affairs and diplomacy,
which is not sound like Department of State.
of the state.
Okay.
But okay.
I picked the Rock and here's why.
He is beloved worldwide.
Okay.
And I just,
I think that like,
who's gonna say no to the Rock?
Like, he's so big,
but he's so friendly.
And I've like,
only heard really nice things about him
and, like,
working for him.
I also chose the Rock
and Dave Batista
for the Department of Homeland Security
because these are the nation's bouncers,
right?
So,
I just thought they would be great
to double team.
We get through my brother in the mix.
So that's fine.
I did have a,
a backup for Department of State, and it was Sabrina Carpenter. And because I just don't think
anybody can be mean to her. She's this little pixie. And if you are, she's just going to, like,
write a song about you, like, akin to like, how's my pussy taste? Right. Yeah. So I'll seed the rock to
Homeland Security. Okay. What's your next one? Department of Commerce. Okay. Promoting economic
growth, job creation, fair trade. I have two. Barbara Corcoran. Love it. I love Barbara
Corcoran. And share from Clueless. Totally. And here's why, because everything is just a jumping off
point for negotiations. Yes, and she loves a shop.
Also that. Professional shopper.
Oh my God. I even think of that. Again, just a fictional character.
Yeah. And that's how in serious. Okay. Who do you, who do you pick Barbara or share?
Share. Okay. Always. Okay. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Property Brothers.
Not a chip and Joanna.
Any of those people are fine. Anyone on HGTV, they've got it.
Have you ever watched the Property Brothers? It's so funny. I used to watch it a little bit. And then Spark
who was my fiance funeral run here, saw one the other day at work. He came in. Oh, really? Yeah.
That's crazy. He's so sexy. Um, okay, my last one is the Department of Treasury.
U.S. government finances, including printing money, collecting taxes, overseeing the economy.
I have two, and I don't really have a lot of reasoning for this. Larry David. Love it.
Because I just want to be in a meeting with him. I like Larry for that. And I think, I don't know. Yeah,
it's like, I don't know what I don't know what else to say, but it sounds like a perfect pick.
I would put him anywhere. He's so curmudgeoning. I don't think you'd be like, no, no, what's that
for. And then Cardi B.
Okay.
I could just see her, like, being the head of the treasury.
She loves money.
Yeah.
So I just think that would be like a fun, spicy.
She was a song called money.
Yes.
Okay.
I feel like I'm not, I'm ending on not a really strong one, but I'm going to do Department
of Transportation.
In my dream world, Pete comes back.
But if not, let's just go Lewis Hamilton.
He's a great driver.
Probably the world's best driver.
Lewis Hamilton, Formula One driver, Department of Transportation.
He drives good.
He's great.
He's great.
He's good.
He drives good.
I think he can do it.
And that is our unqualified cabinet from Girls Got to Eat.
I loved this.
That was fun.
Okay, my favorite of yours was the fictional principal.
Well, that leads me right into my wrecks.
So I just have a few.
I just want to say what I've been watching.
I started the English teacher, which is another school show.
I love Abbott Elementary.
Those are elementary school kids.
This is high school.
And this came out in 24.
So it's not new.
I remember it came out.
I don't know.
I feel like people mostly liked it,
but maybe I saw some mixed reviews.
And Brian Jordan Alvarez is the writer and the lead actor.
And I just really like it.
I'm really enjoying it.
There were a couple episodes I didn't love as much,
but I overall really enjoyed it and really recommend it.
What's about?
Like high school.
He's a teacher.
He's an English teacher.
Is it a comedy or a thriller?
Yeah, it's a comedy.
Sorry.
Total comedy.
Like great cast.
You know, short episodes.
Sorry, I didn't say that before.
I just compare it to Abbott Elementary because it's just like a comedy,
a little spicier because they're dealing.
with high school students and like the way the students interact and all these things.
I just, you know, I love high school shows.
Yeah.
And the menu.
So this is this fucked up thriller from 2022.
It's comedic, I guess.
It's super dark.
Satire.
Satire.
Yeah.
And it is basically all these privileged people go to this fancy dying experience and things take a turn.
I think it's like the bear meets white lotus with murder.
And Anya Taylor Joy stars in it Ralph Fines.
And our agent told me about it.
He was like, I just think you would like this.
I think you and Raina would like it.
It was nominated for all these more.
It's a big movie.
But you said you feel like it, I don't think it's going to be too dark.
It's not too slashery.
That's what I don't like.
Slashery.
It's, you're going to be fine.
I think you're really going to like it.
I think you're really going to like the like foody aspect of it.
Sort of a satirical take on fine dining.
Yeah, and like the interactions and kind of like hierarchy of like kitchen and diners and
chef and I don't know, making fun of like foodies a little bit.
Yeah.
You know.
And then severance, which I'll let you talk about, but I started it and I'm liking it.
And last night, I watched The Bachelor for the first time this season.
Okay.
This man is too fine for the show.
Like, there's never been a Bachelor that looks and acts like him.
He's too sexy.
He's very sexy.
He's so sexy.
And I'm not talking about, like, he's, I'm not even bringing this about race.
He's the second black bachelor ever.
But like, black, white.
Indian, Asian, whatever.
There's just a vibe that's so smooth and sexy kind of like playboy.
And like, we just haven't seen it.
Do you agree, Tessa?
He's just different.
Oh, he's the hottest bachelor, I think, but I don't know.
It says to change it from Joey last season.
He was like cutesy and like that's why he was attractive.
Then you have Grant.
It's like, oh, I don't like, I don't trust him because he's too charming.
No, he's like a playboy.
Like he gives that vibe.
You're like, this is every guy that ruined my life in my 20s, you know?
But I like it just feels wrong.
Are you enjoying it though?
Because we always say people should be spicier on the show.
I'm into it.
Yeah.
I'm into it.
This is the first time my fiancee has ever watched an episode of The Bachelor last night was
his first foray into it.
He was like, he eventually got into it.
But he was like, wow, he really just like kisses everybody.
I'm like, yeah, that's the show.
And then one more thing I will say, we're watching it.
And Hannah Berner comes on the screen.
No.
She's on it?
Oh, I saw her post about it.
She did like a date.
This is very funny.
It's very unqualified cabinet.
She did like a finance date.
And like they were basically, it was, you know,
they're not really doing finance,
but he's a finance guy.
So they do this whole finance segment.
They had to collect these like grant bucks and to get time with him.
And Hannah comes in.
She's like,
I'm just here because I like to wear a tie.
Like it was very funny.
It was very like exactly what we just talked about with the cabinet.
Oh, I saw her post about that.
Okay.
I was wondering.
It was a weird jump scare.
Like your friend is on the screen.
I was like Hannah's the Bachelor.
Anyway.
I forget how famous she is.
I know, me too.
Because she's just like Hannah.
So it's interesting to say that somebody's only seen one episode of The Bachelor
because ABC announced that they put the filming of The Bachelorette on hold.
It typically is released in June.
And they're being a little mum about the reasons.
And so I started looking up like all seasons of The Bachelorette.
And just kind of thinking to myself, like, why is this put on hold?
I mean, you and I've talked a lot about how I just think this format in general is antiquated.
I think, you know, this show, the last season of the Bachelorette was 21 seasons.
And I just think that like it was the original.
dating show and we've moved on to just two kind of buckets now where we have like two out to
handle and love island people that just act like crazy and they're so sexy and then you have like
love is blind and the ultimatum and people that like really want to date and be intentional and be with
their partners and this sort of feels like this style has like fallen off and yeah I was trying to
think like one was the last time I even enjoyed a season of The Bachelorette like I don't
mind seeing men in a scenario where they're like dating a bunch of women but like this feels unfair kind
of like I remember watching like Gabby and Rachel together and like
how terrible it was for Rachel because all the men went with Gabby.
And then Katie Thurson's season was like so brutal.
And I don't really like watching women be treated like that.
Yeah.
I mean,
I agree with you in the format.
I think there's also a theory that like Love Island just completely upstaged it completely.
And they would come out around the same time.
And they're like,
we can't even compete anymore.
And like,
but to your point,
that's just a format people prefer now.
I think the format is dated.
And women don't want to do it.
Like, who turned it down?
Maria and then Daisy.
And then Jen,
just traumatized.
What, has Jen come out and said,
if I would have looked at these men's social media prior to going on,
I wouldn't have gone on.
Like,
the only person in recent years I can think of
that has succeeded is Charity,
she's still with Doughton.
But yeah, Rachel, Gabby has come out since, you know.
Yes.
She's like, I'm done with men.
Yes, and Charity, by the way,
was two seasons ago,
so who knows how long that relationship will last.
And, yes, to your point about the quality of men
that apply for this show,
I don't want to be so, like,
I don't want to sexualize this completely,
but like, I don't know, it just feels like the men that apply for this.
I'm like, what's going on here?
Yeah, I think The Bachelor is feels broken.
And they're like, we just, let's fix this before we come back.
Because like these women are not having a great experience.
Yeah.
And like I like that for that reason.
Also, is it considered DEI?
Is it illegal to do it now?
Yeah.
Well, they can just go back to their original format of seasons 15 through one.
White Christian girls.
No, all white men.
Can you imagine ABC was like, whoa, whoa,
Bachelorette, that's feeling DEI.
Yikes.
Get rid of it.
Yep.
No, I'm kidding.
That's a sad,
sad reality.
Yeah, I don't,
it's not like a fun watch to me.
I think these guys are kind of cringe.
These women just,
I don't like the way that they're treated.
I don't know.
It's just not for me.
I mean, the last great season,
Claire Crawley,
but it will never be another like it.
I mean, watching that.
I mean, it's saved,
it saved us in our souls.
And it was during COVID.
If you guys don't know,
I mean, Claire Crawley was the bachelor.
She was the oldest.
Bachelorette in history.
She's younger than I am now.
Wasn't she like 38?
Yeah, I think she was like 38, yeah.
And she just chose
Dale and they left together.
They had to bring in a new bachelorette.
If you guys haven't seen it.
If you don't even care about this show,
go back and watch those, what,
eight episode, six episodes, five episodes?
She refused to keep filming.
And then all she would do on other dates
with guys would be like,
what did Dale say about me?
Literally every day, she's like,
have you guys talked to Dale?
Have you guys been talking to Dale?
Like she,
would literally just think of reasons to bring him up.
Like somebody would be like, so I grew up with my family and she'd be like,
Dale has a family.
Dale has a family.
No, like, and then Chris Harrison was like, so Dale, you had to propose.
He was like, what?
I know.
Dale was like, I'm not trying to do that.
I mean, nothing was better than this couple.
It was the best TV ever.
Anyway, I think I'm going to, I think I like this season enough to keep seeing it through.
I really like watching it with the person you're dating.
Like, I haven't really enjoyed watching it in a lot.
long time. And I like watching it with him because I like his takes. Dating shows with men and
explaining them to men is the best. And like, I got him kind of hooked because I was like,
my brother and Steph watch it. He was like, oh, okay, I'll give it a try. You know, so it's just,
it's, I'm having a different experience. I'm like, seen it through his eyes and like all the
craziness and nothing better than watching a dating show of the man and explaining it to him.
Yeah. Well, I have three quick wrecks and then we'll wrap up. Severance. I loved. I hesitate to
recommend it to people because it is very specific. It is sort of like dystopian society, sci-fi.
And what it's about is severance is these people that live these lives outside.
They go to work and inside the building, their outside life is erased.
And then vice versa, when they go outside, their work life is erased.
So they don't know what they do in the building when they leave the building, which is so interesting.
It's a slow show.
It's very bizarre the way it's filmed.
But it's just unlike anything I'd ever seen, it is, I've always said, the greatest season finale of any show I've ever watched,
the way that they, like, wrap up a bunch of the storylines, leave cliffhangers.
And I think we are four episodes into season two now.
It took years, right?
Years.
Years.
And I just started watching season one, by the way.
I had to watch a recap because I couldn't even remember it.
It was so long ago.
But I love it.
It's a great show.
And I love...
I always get his name wrong.
I always want to say Adam Driver.
Yeah.
But foot shorter.
Yeah.
Adam Scott.
Big Parks and Rec fan.
And just two books I'm reading.
Just Kids, which is about Patty Smith.
It is...
She's a musical artist.
It's about New York in the 70s.
People really love it.
If you're looking for, like, a memoir.
Okay.
It's just like drugs and music in New York in the 70s.
I've seen, people just love this book.
It's a very, very popular book.
And then the Wayward Pine series, this is unlike.
Oh my God, Raina.
What?
You've been bringing this up to anyone who.
Anybody will listen.
I love it.
Have you found any community yet?
No.
Not one person.
Well, I found it through this girl who gives book racks and I love her Instagram.
It's a three series book about this man.
He is a federal agent.
He wakes up.
Basically, he's had this terrible accident.
He wakes up.
He doesn't know where he is or who he is, where he's from.
he's lost all memory,
and then he's trying to sort of piece together
how he got here and where he is.
And you're really not sure if it's sci-fi
or dystopian society or it's just like people
fucking with him.
And it's a three-part series,
and I absolutely look it.
I flew through it.
It was great during the weeks of the fires
where you and I really couldn't leave the house,
and I wanted to just kind of disassociate a little bit.
So I really enjoyed that.
And I've, Waiward Pine series, you guys.
Three books.
You just blow right through it.
And DM Raina.
She needs people to talk to.
This girl for book racks
Her name is Brady Lockerby
B-R-A-D-Y
L-O-C-E-R-B-Y on Instagram
I like her wrecks a lot
I don't tend to like people's book racks
so they just like say this book and they move on
I'm like, what is it about?
What's it about? Yeah.
So anyways, those are my racks.
