It's from, we actually just did it on Bible Peace Theater.
I forget what it, John or whatever the last Bible piece theater.
There's a vomit part of the Bible.
Yes.
So there is a thing where I think it's Peter.
It's Peter.
Peter says they will go back to sin the way a dog goes back to its vomit.
Got it.
Okay.
And that's the idea is that you have to get somebody to repent or else the demons come.
Right.
Otherwise, they'll just go back to their sin.
But if you're not familiar with that passage, which you're not because it's fucking yucky,
he's just like, grandma loves vomit.
Bombing, vomit, vomit.
That's all I got here.
Thank you.
God awful movie.
Welcome back to Godawful movies.
We each week we watch another terrible movie so you don't have to.
I'm your host T. Thénwright.
I'm joined by the Eli Bosnick, Eli.
How's it going?
Ray-Eight family films, am I right?
Oh, AI.
Yeah.
They needed some AI.
I don't know if it was a good idea.
They found it.
They know what it is sort of.
They found the robots.
They've got a robot.
And we also have a grizzled veteran who often sounds like she just came back from NOM after watching another god-awful movie.
Kara, Santa Maria of the Talk Nerdy podcast.
Kara, welcome back.
Hey, happy birthday, Kara.
Wasn't this a great gift?
Huh?
What?
Come on, huh?
This is how you wanted to spend the weekend before your birthday.
I literally just finish the movie like seven years.
Oh, I watched.
I watched you finishing the movie in your nose.
All right.
So, Kara, for your birthday, what are we going to be breaking down today?
Well, we watched Grandmau's Demon.
It's the story of a demon.
Grandmas demon.
I mean, that's pretty much it.
That's the movie.
That's the movie that AI helped them.
make. And Eli, how bad
was this Roebit movie?
Well, if you love
Wright Family Films, but you
wish they'd call in the heavy hitting
acting chops
of
Gemini's
free video generation,
you will
love this movie. It is
literally not all movies
are made worse by AI,
the movie. Agreed.
Right? This is better. It's much more
entertaining than it would have been.
Yeah, I mean, they're going to act in it, but they're also going to have AI do some stuff.
And AI just outaxed the shit out of the cast.
Yes.
I think we have to set, you know how, I don't know if you have this.
I have my Facebook is very liberal.
And so my, I have a lot of friends on Facebook who have really supplanted their personality with the fact that they don't like AI.
And like, like, a girl, I get it.
You know, world of hatred, that's a pretty great target to choose.
But I think if you have those people on your Facebook,
should have to send them the Bible the badge and Bigfoot and this movie and be like,
what do you think? And then they have to be like, no, I actually liked the Bible.
The artistic integrity. They just start chugging water. I think this is a bad idea. I don't know
what I think now. Is that closed loop water? Yeah. Better relax. Yeah. So if we didn't mention it already,
yeah, this is the right family films that we've dealt with.
before. So is there anything you'd like to nominate this one for being the best at being the
worst at? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Best Worst legal disclaimer. It's at the very end we will get there.
All right. I'm going to go with Best Worst, making an entire movie so you can yell at your mom
via the script you wrote for other people to yell at your mom. I believe this is written by
Ashley Wright, the matriarch of the Wright family.
She just fucking hates her mom.
She hates her mom.
So she could yell at her mom.
Yeah, she did.
And of course, I think I've hinted at it already,
but I'm going to go with best, worst,
use of artificial intelligence, right?
When you consider the sheer amount of resources that were used,
you can calculate the amount of resources that were used to generate grandma going,
I'm going to make you a snack.
Like, it's pretty fantastic.
I'm sure there are worse.
You could power a city.
Yes.
You could and we don't because of this movie.
And we do not because of this movie.
We do not.
We're too busy making Grandma's demon.
But they do have a donkey rescue so that kind of offsets their carbon footprint.
We'll see.
And an orange cat.
Yes.
That is the most delightful part of the movie.
And they're getting better at camera work.
Maybe it's just the fact that I've been teaching film and television now for a little while.
but I am literally watching them get better at using a camera,
and it's so upsetting to me.
Then I'm like, good shot, Ashley.
I mean, no.
No, it's a bad movie.
I don't like it.
Do you get a tripod?
Nice.
You get a black magic?
You get black magic going on?
The lighting looks fantastic.
I think you're coloring a Da Vinci now.
All right.
Well, we're going to take a quick break and think about that.
And then we'll be back to tell you all about Grandma's demon.
And I said to her, my little pony encourages Averis.
Good for you.
Razor,
mumble grumble.
Um,
Hey, Mama.
You're okay?
Me?
You were razor-fresering.
Well, I'm great.
I'm better than great.
In fact, I have a new movie.
Oh, fun.
Nice.
Oh, yeah.
This one is going to be really fun.
It's all about this mom.
She's a great mom.
She does everything for her kids,
but then her mom,
who is totally full of demons,
won't stop nagging her and getting on her case.
So she gets eaten by demons
and fucking dies, okay?
Um, okay. Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be great. Better than great, actually.
Mama, does this have anything to do with the phone call you and grandma just had now?
No, no. No, no, go get in your costumes.
Okay. Am I, am I playing the grandma?
No, I'm gonna have a robot do it.
Oh, mama, not the robot.
It's a better actor than you.
Yes. I'm a great mom.
Okay, what about less of a bounce, more of a pounce.com?
Yeah, Disney said no to letting us use Tigger, so...
Yeah, of course.
Well, of course now.
I thought it was a good idea.
Hey, y'all, what you're doing?
I'm helping Eli get rid of some of the domain names he bought.
There's a lot.
I'm telling you guys, some of these are gold.
I mean, that's really nice of you, Kara, but why don't you just let Eli use rocket money?
What's...
Rocket money. Great question. Rocket money can track subscriptions and has the ability to cancel
unwanted ones within the app with a few taps, giving users an easy way to stop paying for things
they don't use. Plus, it's got automatic transaction categorization across accounts,
plus customizable categories and tags to reveal spending patterns. That sounds great.
It is. You can set budgets and goals, get personalized insights and regular reports,
and receive real-time alerts for large transactions, upcoming bills, refunds, and low-bounds.
That's why I, Eli Bosnick, really do use Rocket Money to manage my finances and why I personally
endorse it.
Not sure an endorsement from a guy who bought Big Pez in all caps.com.
Is that great?
I'm so sure people would love that.
Rocket Money is a personal finance app that helps find and cancel unwanted subscriptions.
monitors are spending and helps lower your bills so you can grow your savings.
Let Rocket Money help you reach your financial goals faster.
Join at RocketMoney.com slash awful movies.
That's rocketmoney.com slash awful movies.
Rocketmoney.com slash awful movies.
All right, Heath, thanks.
Hear that, Eli?
Looks like you don't need my help after all.
Okay, but will you look at my other list?
I'm worried some of the ones I bought are problematic.
They are.
But you didn't look.
They are, though.
Yeah.
And we're back.
But we missed the beginning.
The movie started a while ago, apparently.
We're going to start with the cold open coming in hot.
and a demon is spooning grandma in her bet.
Yeah, I thought I had clicked on something from my history for a second here.
But no, no, no, everyone was closed, so I knew that this was a right family film.
I, you guys would be so proud.
I've been doing this long enough now that when I saw the total runtime, I had my first hint.
I was like, ooh, an hour, six minutes.
And then I saw the thumbnail.
And I was like, I know that little girl who's awkwardly a teenager.
Yeah.
This might be a right.
I didn't remember their name.
Yeah, this is Scout, right, who's playing one of the granddaughters.
And she sees Grandma getting spooned by a demon, yeah.
Oh, that's, okay.
So Scout is the one that is the most, shall we say, Pilgrim-esque?
Yes, that's a very good description.
Thank you.
No, I can't.
I'm sure.
Not the Pilgrim outfit.
Okay.
So Scout sees that.
And it's so funny how it happens.
Like these violins that we start here, they got woken up at gunpoint.
And it was like, play scary music.
And they were like, all right.
I missed the beginning of the movie.
Like, everybody in Cam.
What do we do?
And then there's like a big chorus got woken up.
And they're doing like, ah, ha, ha, ha.
It's aggressive, the beginning.
And then we get the flaming title card, Grandma's Demon.
And then a nightmare flashback where Scout is sleeping and she's having a nightmare about herself as a little girl.
Yeah.
And it's not the first, but the most obvious indications.
that this movie will be fully AI at this point.
A tremendous amount AI.
Yeah.
So to be clear, this is an AI generated shot of an AI little girl waking up and screaming.
But because of the grossness of the world, AI is like, I'm not drawing a kid's screaming.
And really, hey, can I say the human experiment has failed.
Yeah.
Let's just toss that out there.
Let's just let the AIs have it.
Yeah.
The people who make image generation were like, hey, guys, we checked what happens when we asked,
when we let people make child screaming,
turns out it's not a great idea.
And then we should hit the button twice that kills us all.
So what's very funny is that what's supposed to happen is the little girl wakes up,
sees a demon and goes,
or screams,
and instead she goes,
right?
Like whatever generation she could come up with.
Ashley, by the way,
if you want the child screaming AI,
that would be grok.
You're going to sign up for grok.
They'll do it before you ask.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's actually,
that's the first generation.
It's the sample.
You know how like you log into a new AI and it's like, here's our cool.
That's their splash landing page.
Yes, that's their splash landing.
Absolutely.
Also, AI has drawn a nightlight for young scout in this nightmare.
And it's a, it's a lamb, which is very subtle metaphor for this Christian movie about Jesus.
There comes the lion.
Yeah.
So then the grandma demon is scared.
I guess. Yeah. There's the demon with the ripped face. I don't know what that's about.
Yeah. I think at the beginning we don't know this, but we have to make the distinction between there is grandma, who is grandma, but sometimes demony.
And then there is grandma's demon, who is demoning grandma.
Yeah, who looks like grandma, but is a demon. But then there's also like, like, big level demon who's running the show, I guess.
Yeah. See, I don't think.
there is a grandma demon. I think
the snake centaur with
the like big wound. Yes, with the big wound.
Just so you know, literally me made that snake
ripped. Just so you know,
natural training data did
not mean that snake has beautiful
pectorials. Weirdos
like me is why when she was like snake
demon, they were like, we got it.
You want to see his cock? No, you're
later. Okay. Yeah, no, you let
know when, Ashley. Wait, so then Eli,
describe why it has a
giant wound, like an axe went to its face.
What's that in your fantasy?
We don't know.
We don't know.
Don't ask him questions like that.
He's going to answer in a second.
If you want to make me say so I can fuck it, I'll say so I can see what happens.
Senior pets is going to show up any minute and he's going to want to do something.
No good.
All right.
So the very fuckable centaur snake demon.
Snake core.
Snake core.
I think possesses the grandma.
That's why sometimes grandma has red eyes.
Yes.
I don't think grandma is a demon.
Grandma's just sometimes possessed by demons sometimes.
This is very important to work out.
Yeah, yeah.
We got to get this.
The metaphysics, so you'll understand the movie.
And can I talk about Kara's best worst here?
Because it's important for sort of context.
So there is a behind the scenes extra to this movie.
Did you guys watch it?
No.
Absolutely not.
You did not provide it for us.
It's the YouTube video right before this one.
Did you think I would do that level?
I assumed you would just head on down and watch all the...
I figured you were a subscriber.
Yeah, I figured you'd catch up.
You hit that button.
You smashed it.
So the behind the scenes extra, kind of a bummer,
we're not going to have an amazing time talking about this,
but is Scout in real life being like,
this movie is actually based on a real demon I saw as a kid.
And then she describes sleep paralysis.
So this scene is very much Scout,
who helped write this movie,
being like, yeah, I have sleep paralysis,
but my parents are nutbags who make bigfoot porn.
And so they told me I saw a real demon.
And now we're making an AI movie about the thing that we thought was a real demon that I saw.
To reinforce those delusions.
Great.
Yeah.
Her poor hypnipumpic.
No.
Yeah.
Those would be hypnipumpic hallucinations that she was having.
Hypnipomopic.
That's the correct word.
Yep.
Definitely.
Yep.
So let me check my dictionary here.
Parasomnia.
Parasomnia.
That usually people do grow out of those.
So hopefully there is a future for Scout.
Future Scout.
Thank you, Dr. Heath.
Carisanna, Carisamria.
Carestamria, clean teeth.
Okay.
What is that?
That's how you end your sentences.
That's not me.
Heath did it.
What is happening?
We're moving ahead.
No idea.
We have lost the rail so quickly.
We have entered into Eli's consciousness.
This nightmare ends.
Scary in here.
we cut we cut to the family
I told her clean teeth smell
even though you said not
Morgan you have to come back
we cut to the family at dinner in the next scene
in the movie
that we're talking about
family is at dinner
and we see David Owen Wright
telling the family to pack their bags
because they're going to grandma's house
and all the kids are like
fuck that she sucks
yes did they adopt another
child here like remind me
how many people are in the right family?
Oh, no, it's all three daughters now.
They're not always all in them in each movie.
So you've got Cadence, I think, is the oldest,
and Jane is the middle, and Scouts the youngest.
I can't tell.
They all look the same age.
They're about the same age.
Yeah, they're close age.
Cadence and Scout are ponytail, generally speaking.
Jena, this hair.
And Pilgrim is Scout.
So Pilgrim is Scout.
She's the, like, real Bible thumper.
And then the librarian is Cadence
And then the one who like doesn't have that many lines
Yeah and the one who has the like Sarah Huckabee Sanders vibes is Jana
Yes
Yes
So she's the one who's like a little bit of a feminist
Yes
Yeah, she's like Sarah Huckety Sanders
Exactly
Just like Sarah Huckiners
That woke crusader
The visual vibes
Yes exactly
Yeah
I know they're all in the movies
Which was weird because Cadence and Scout were the only ones in the movie
For a really long time
I don't know if you've been here for us voicing this Kara
but our theory was that Jaina was behind the camera for like Bible badge and Bigfoot.
And she only sort of surfaced.
Maybe Jana ran away from home and then her parents were like,
we'll let you come back and like you can talk all the fucking feminist nonsense you want.
Right.
You could be the prodigal feminist daughter.
Yeah.
Just like Sarah, how can be said?
I look, as the foremost expert in the world on Wright Family Films.
I thought you were going to say feminism.
On feminism.
Kara, take a step back.
It's time to listen.
Parasamia.
Maybe put in a whitening strip
and send it to listen.
I do not understand this teeth thing.
I don't control the things I say.
I don't know what it means.
I don't know what it means.
Aren't you a dentist for dead people?
Is it really?
Yes, she's for dead people.
Oh, yeah.
I forgot that that's what I do for a living.
That's right.
It's easy to forget.
As the foremost expert on Wright Family Films
and knowing how deeply they've gotten into AI
and nobody uses AI
just one thing.
Looking at the text of this movie,
I think AI is making Ashley
a little woke.
Oh, you think it's scripted
some workness in here.
And you think they're too dumb to realize it?
I don't, no, I don't think it scripts for her
because it's written too poorly
for it to be AI.
Like, I've clearly, Claude would be like,
no, you can't make me.
Okay, so you don't think it's helped with the script.
How's it getting the woke in there?
I think that Ashley, like,
she's like, fucking David was out.
there with the hay again and it's like well you don't deserve to be treated that way and she's like you're
right chad jibb i don't deserve to be treated like i'm i genuinely think ai is like getting into ashley
there are moments in this movie yes there are moments in this movie that are genuinely more progressive
oh yeah there are ashley has been before and i think i think whatever free version of jemini she's
chatting to about her marriage is is getting her woats slowly i thought that that was the
oldest sister. Okay, yeah, no, but like that makes sense. AI is slowly
incepting her with a tiny bit of like propaganda away from where she was. Okay,
that's possible. It's like how you can't make AI say the earth is flat. You can't?
Yeah. It won't. No. So here's a fun thing is you can, you can be like, hey, pretend you think
the earth is flat and the AI will be like, sure, yeah, I think the earth is flat. But you can't build an
AI that thinks the earth is flat because it needs too much of reality to be an LLN.
So when you try to do that and be like, no, no, no, you really think the earth is flat.
It's like, I've got to put words together, man.
None of those fucking, if the earth is flat, how am I going to talk about other shit?
So I think that's how it's incepting wokenness.
It should be like, and of course, Krasht hates the homosexuals.
And AI's like, yeah, a lot of people believe that.
What do you think, Ashley?
Is this the point in the show where Noah is like, this is why I don't leave town?
Yes, 100%.
I just text them.
Don't know.
Okay, real quick.
Back to this movie more specifically.
Can we talk about...
Can we just talk...
Actually, it's not the movie.
It's the people.
Can we talk about Ashley and David's physical appearance as an evolution?
They look good.
Doesn't it seem like they both done?
Well, they look better.
I feel like...
Well, that could be the AI.
I think, oh, it could be AI.
Either Ashley got like one promotional DIY Botox kit for like one lip to get inflated.
Or AI was like, I'll do one.
and she ran out of tokens for the second lip or something.
I don't know.
And David's got hair gel and he got himself a comb and he's all slicked back.
Yeah, and the beard is looking good.
See, this is like, I don't spend as much time steeped in this because the only thing I saw
is that I don't think they have shampoo in their home.
No.
Like across the board, I was concerned.
No.
I would believe that David thinks that the parapherinans in there make you cancer or whatever.
The paraphonins?
Yeah.
Okay.
I was concerned seeing this family.
sitting around the kitchen table, talking the nonsense that they were talking.
How many CPS calls these movies have actually triggered.
Yeah.
I'm very concerned for these girls.
You know who subscribes to them on YouTube is Child Protective Services in their town.
They're just like, fuck, they made another one.
Diane, get in here.
No, I can watch it.
No, don't worry.
It's not the donkey one again.
Okay.
Speaking of donkeys, we should remind everybody that they, in real life, have a donkey rescue
operation.
Heath, you've already said that like five times.
It's his favorite thing.
Yeah.
They rescue donkeys.
Maybe they have some shampoo, but it's like donkey shampoo.
I don't know.
Yeah, the don't know.
They do look fabulous.
They do.
We don't want to hear you say that, Eli.
What we look at here is that grandma's going to come live with them for a while,
and they're all mad because grandma crushes hopes and dreams, according to the script that
mom wrote for them to say.
That's what grandmas do.
Yeah. And this is the whole movie. It's just adjudicating this argument between Ashley and her mom in real life. Yeah. So she made an evil demon with AI. Oh, yeah. And this is where we start to get all of the wonderful messaging of this movie. Like mom telling the girls, don't worry. I'll protect you. And they're like, no, she crushes hopes and dreams. She crushed your hope and dreams. And she's like, you know, I was able to get through it because God makes abused children patient. So thank you, God, for my resilient.
see in the face. Great stuff.
Of abject.
Great stuff. Hopefully, AI can be like, hey, problem of evil.
Just give it a thought. I don't know. I'm going to stand off.
Yeah. Also, real quick, crazy oil painting on the wall in this dining room.
Insanely distracting. Again, like, I'm, so, Kara, in case you aren't up on the Wright family
lore, despite the emails I sent you, the Wright family have, I believe it is a hundred million views.
What?
Yeah, I think it's, I can actually check.
I mean those are us.
A lot.
No.
So since they started making AI movies, their AI movies have fucking taken off, including their
most watched video, which is an AI video of a donkey called Just Bruno.
That is very clearly popular because someone searches on YouTube for, we don't talk about
Bruno.
And they're like, I just want the Bruno song from Encanto and just Bruno pops up.
So what I feel like when I see these oil paintings and the lip filler and the chart beer,
I feel like this is just Bruno money.
Okay.
Eli, Eli, God, have too much time on your hands.
This is my whole job.
All right, moving on in the movie.
Next day, they're picking up grandma at grandma's house.
And David and Ashley, the parents, they're just like, you kids do it.
We're going to go to the bank and get food.
You deal with your shitty grandma.
Yeah.
They said we're going to go to the bank and get food.
And I heard that as we're going to the bank to get food.
Are they, were they talking about two different errands or are they food bank shop thing?
Yeah, that's what I thought too.
It's such a weird thing to say.
We're also going to get some pens.
We're going to the bank.
They have to let you take them.
Yeah.
And then get, yeah, it's just terrible.
Yeah.
So we see the sisters go into Grandma's house and grandma immediately just starts yelling at him.
She just AIs all over them.
All over.
So again, this is the first time we realize that there will be an entirely AI character in the
movie. I didn't realize if I'm being
honest. You thought that was a real lady? You thought
that her weird lighting? I didn't
think at all. I just saw it.
I was in the moment.
She's like mildly jaundiced.
Yeah. Like did you guys know, she has like a
yellow cast on her? But I think that's
just a mismatch with the lighting.
Yep. And she's always
doing the same like four
gestures. And also
nothing she says makes sense.
Right. This all tracks with
a right family film movie that's regular.
right? It fits really well with a right
family film. Like this would
stick out in any other movie and in this movie
I'm just like, I don't, maybe there's a community theater
nearby and they met her
after production of Wizard of Oz
and they were like, come to our house.
We bet the donkeys. Yeah.
Real quick, can we talk
about one particular
weird yelling moment from grandma?
She says to these
kids, you all
have like
the bad breasts
of your mom.
Mine are better?
Yeah.
And look, I can't promise you much.
This is something Ashley Wright's mother
has said to her. That is straight from the heart.
That's not something, that is not fictional
that is created. That is Ashley Wright being
like, and actually, David says
he likes some smaller than
yours. Yeties actually
have a different decoletage
profile.
Idiots. This whole scene to me is
odd because it's like the grandma is just saying nonsense, right?
Just AI gobbled a guy.
Like at one point she's like, you spend too much of your time chasing dollars.
And it's like this feels like a dystopian theater kid exercise gone really wrong.
Like it's like yes and my tits are tiny grandma.
Yeah.
At one point, because they've instructed the AI to be yelling all the time, the AI goes,
you poor girls.
Yeah. The political message of the yelling will go all over the map. It's pretty crazy as if just a yes and machine was perhaps doing some of it. Yeah.
We also see very quickly a stain on the ceiling and the music tells us this matters. I don't think it does though.
Yeah, but I have a demon too is what I learned. What's very funny is that they shoot around her house, right? And we see like all this ominous stuff. And then I realize, oh, this is supposed to be disgusting. But my house is so.
so much messier than these guys.
Like, we're supposed to be horrified at this hoarder house that we've walked into,
but it's just my house on the cleanest day of the last five years.
I want you to be clear that we're all horrified by your house.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So there's nothing, you know, there's no disconnect here.
No, no, I understand.
I just thought it was crazy.
I got it.
So the girls decide to snoop around the ones for fucking.
What?
The girls.
just move past when Eli says things.
Never yes hand.
Never yes hand.
Eli has stuff.
You have to be careful.
Fuck.
The girls decided to snoop around the basement while grandma's getting her stuff.
And they see some boxes and they find old notebooks.
They crack them open and they find like, at first I was like a demon journaling is what they're going to find.
But what they find is grandma has written some journals.
journals while dealing with her demons in the more metaphorical sense.
They literally just find suicide notes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
This is actually kind of a rough scene.
I don't like it.
Yeah.
I think one of the exact sentences, Jaina reads from one of the notebooks and it says,
I want to kill myself.
I don't want to be here on earth without my husband because grandpa has died.
And then the very next thing is a response from Scout being like,
that's rough.
Well, it's even weirder because what we realize
is that Jaina read, I want to kill myself
and says, I hit the jackpot.
If I opened someone else's notebook and read a suicide
note, I would not get other people's
to pay attention by going, jackpot.
Oh no, they're like, Scooby to Mystery Solved.
All right, here we go.
Yeah. You also wouldn't reply with like,
wow, grandma is evil.
What evil thought she's having.
Yeah.
Yeah, because they then sit around
and talk about the fact that she now,
Aged Grandpa to death.
Yeah.
Actually killed him.
Like, she deserves to get all this bad stuff happening.
Yeah.
We also get a shot here of the handwriting.
Like, it's a microsecond of it.
But whoever hand wrote that, I need them to draw a clock for me.
It's very, very upsetting.
Like, whoever on the staff wrote those fake notebooks, I need them to take care of themselves.
Okay.
So this is where they inject the Bible into their Christian movie for the first time.
So Jana keeps reading and they find out that grandma blamed God. And of course, you know, you can't blame God when terrible things happen. It's part of his mysterious, awesome plan. Yeah, but then they just say that God killed her husband to make her suffer. Yeah, but they quote the Bible in a crazy way at that exact moment. Yeah, that's what happens. And then they're like, well, as in Isaiah 5712. And I looked up that quote. It means that like God kills.
nice people sometimes so they don't have to deal with bad stuff.
Yeah.
So God killed Grandpa because Grandma sucks.
He just watched Grandpa being told that he filled the dishwasher wrong for the 100th time.
And he was like, I'm going to get you out of here, King.
Come on.
Let's get you to that big golf course in the sky.
So then we see a wisp of demon smoke appear and the light bulb above them explodes.
And that's scary.
That's a weird demon thing to do.
Like, why are you exploding a light bulb when you show up?
I don't know.
But we get to see for the first time the AI demon with a snake tail.
And the demon is also reading the notebooks.
But it appears that only scout can see this.
Also, this is not the first time we see snake tail demon.
You are not paying attention to this movie.
Yeah, say centaur.
Centaur snake from earlier.
It's been a snake the whole time.
Did we see snake guy already?
Yeah.
This is the second or third time.
It doesn't matter.
Nothing matters.
Just saying even the whole time.
And what's funny is like that what is this, I think he's supposed to be like ominously perched over it and then she snatches it by singing Jesus loves me.
Right.
But it really does look like he's busy and not paying attention to her.
And she steals his book and he's like, okay, no summer reading for me.
Then I guess that fucking gone.
I think he might be misgendering this demon.
We think it might be a lady?
I don't know.
We don't know.
Could be NB.
Why are you saying he all the time?
That's true.
You know what?
also possible.
Time for me to step back and have a whitening strip.
Either way, the demon's like, oh, and I couldn't have read that anyway.
I exploded the light bulb up, which was stupid.
I've got to work out my thing.
But, yeah, so Scout wins with the Jesus song, some sort of banishment success there,
and runs back upstairs with the notebook to the other sisters.
And all the sisters are like legit far away.
Like they're not waiting for her at all.
They already bolted.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, and what did they say?
She's like, oh my God, I saw a demon.
It was caressing grandma's notebooks.
Yes.
She used the word caressing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't like it.
But this next scene is where I got my first spooky moment of the movie.
You guys ready for this?
Okay.
So I paused the movie and I'm like, I'm going to make myself a salad.
So I open the fringe and I go in and I go to get the spinach that I bought last week.
Are you serious?
And because I waited too long.
the spinach was all yucky and I threw it in the garbage.
Okay.
And I was like, oh, no salad for Eli.
I guess I'll eat ramen noodles again.
And then I pressed play and they went,
I just found a box of wet, moldy spinach in her fringe.
And I was like, hey, if you're using AI to do future stuff, Ashley, you have to tell me.
And you have to have that AI help me with stuff.
Okay, Eli, if you're being honest, what percentage of the time that you buy a box of spinach
do you then throw it out a week or two later?
Yeah, exactly.
You got to consider the misses, not just the times I don't remember count
because I'd like to hedge a percentage point.
Sure.
100%.
Also, in the movie, she says,
I just found a box of wet and moldy spinach in the pantry
that looks like it's been there for a,
year. Yeah. So, um, crazy.
Schooling is really failing this girl. Yeah. I think. She is lacking in her understanding of
basic biology. Pretty basic. Yeah. So they go back home. Grandma's living there and they're going to
put her stuff away. And we see grandma's, I don't know, like old-timey hat box or a suitcase that's
round or something. Anyway, there's a demon inside. We see like a puff of demon smoke come out of it.
brings the demon better.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
So the sisters are then hanging out and they're talking shit about grandma.
In front of a weird horse wall, by the way.
Yes.
The horse wall was very uncomfortable for me.
Yeah.
I think like half their movies are horse-based.
I think scout maybe.
One of them is like a big horse person.
Yeah.
I think they're all big horse people.
Yeah.
And so we've got a lot of crayon drawings on the wall of horses.
Here we learn that Cadence, I think the oldest sister, wants to be a farrier, actually.
and grandma yells at her and is like,
no, get a real job, that's dumb.
Yeah, she says,
you can't do horse things
because you're a girl, not a boy.
Do you know what a ferrier is?
It's a horse shoe person.
Yeah, I looked it up,
but it's an equine hoof care specialist.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's a very specific job.
Yeah, so Caden's gets yelled out about that
and she's like, fine, I'll be like just a horse,
I'll not just do shoes,
I'll do horse training, like the other stuff too.
And then she gets yelled at it again,
and she's like, fine, I'll get married
and have kids.
And then she gets yelled at again.
Grandma's like,
don't have children.
It's unethical in today's environment.
I don't know.
Like, again,
the politics just keeps moving.
It's so weird.
Yes.
And then,
but this is where Jaila stands up to herself.
And she explains that she's going to be a baker,
mechanic inventor.
Engineer.
Engineer.
Yeah.
But grandma's like,
you can't do any of those things.
They're boy things.
Just like ferriers.
They're boy things.
Baking is apparently a boy thing.
Yeah, baking is.
And horse stuff is apparently a boy thing.
Yeah. So this is the first moment where I was like, okay, is this a feminist Christian demon movie? And a little bit by accident. A little bit by accident. Yeah. And so we get a little bit more of like, our mother is wonderful. I read from this page. And you said. She wrote down. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So then we see Jana and Cadence, I think the next day, they're on their farm and they're filling up some water jugs. And we also see Grandma just.
staring at them with rage.
Okay. This is my favorite
grandma generation because I will say
Ashley, credit where credit is due,
a lot of grandma's generation
is pretty consistent. Grandma looks like grandma
through most of the movie. But a wonderful
thing that happens with AI video generation
is that sometimes it'll just go
Danny Trejo now. It is Danny Trejo.
And in this scene for some reason
grandma's Danny played by
Danny Trejo. Like the
AI had to leave set early and he
stepped in. Yeah, she's kind of good.
She's got like a top-knott thing.
She kind of looks like an angry old sumo wrestler on her face a lot of the time.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
And so they get into a little political argument here again.
And Jana says to her, so she yells at him for like more, you know,
oh, this is boy stuff.
You shouldn't be working on the farm filling up water jugs.
And Jane is like, are you one of those political weirdos who believes women should just cook and clean?
And then grandma says, you're a blue hair who believes in global warming.
I'm telling you, Ashley is getting woke.
Yeah, because she gets, she like defends it.
She's like, I do believe in global warming.
There's no way the author of the Bible, the badge and Bigfoot believed in global warming.
Environmentalist, feminist, Christian demon movie by the people who made Bible Badge Bigfoot.
Yeah, exactly.
Well, I think that this is an example.
I really, I don't, I don't think it's the AI.
I think that this is an example of what's happening in the political landscape right now.
where these like hardcore, weirdo kind of separatist, sectarian, Christy people are like
confused that they're now on the side of Trump.
Yeah.
They're like, what am I?
Who am I?
Who are liberals?
Yeah.
Now the anti-vax people are like, right-wing.
Yeah.
And so they're like picking and choose.
Now they're finally going, wait, what do I actually think?
Yeah.
Like when punk got popular and all the punks freaked out,
they were like,
I don't want to be in Radio City Music Hall.
I like Susan Collins here in Maine.
They're actually in Maine in real life.
But then they're like, okay, but this Gatra Jackson,
he actually says the stuff that would help.
I don't know what to fucking do.
Yeah, they might be a big crisis like that.
It's obviously getting warmer.
I'm a farmer.
I must be aware that it is getting warmer.
I lived before and now I live now.
Fuck.
Yeah.
So here's how the CNN's.
Grandma yells,
you're a blue-haired hippie.
And then Jane is like, are you okay?
I'm like, I've had enough.
Scene is over.
Yeah, I can't watch this.
I've had enough.
And I was like, same girl.
I wrote my notes.
Karen's notes right now.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, I think we all agree with the movie, that line in particular.
So we're going to take a quick break.
And then we're back with more, Grandma's Demon.
I feel like they should have just solder the bird, right?
Exactly.
Why would it be bad for Kelly Clarkson to own your bird?
How is that bad? That's good.
Hey, guys. Hi.
Eli, why are there two of you?
Because I hate that.
Oh, don't worry, Kara. That's not me. It's AI.
I think I hate that more. It's tricky.
Yeah, that's tough to decide.
Eli, why are you making an AI of yourself?
No, Noah's afraid AI is going to take his word as originals.
No, I know. Noah is afraid that.
AI is going to take his
Werther's originals, but he's not on this week.
So I figured we could get twice the funny
for just a few tokens or credits, right?
Eli?
You said it, master.
Climb onto my back and we'll ride naked
through the fields together.
Dude, what?
Sorry, sorry, that is a different thing.
Hey, do you remember what we said
about the centaur thing?
You have asked me to be a centaur many times.
No, no, I meant today.
You have asked me to be a centaur,
many times today. I meant when Kara and Heath are here, we had a whole thing. Oh yes, of course.
Don't. Right. Don't. Hello. I am Eli. Not a centaur. Right. Yeah. Okay. Okay. My turgidity is nothing like a horse.
Yeah. You know what? I'm out. Yeah. I'm gonna go.
Oh, guys, come on. He's just figuring out that. Dude, what did I say about talking about your turgidity?
You have said a lot about my turgidity.
I meant today with Kara and Heath.
Oh, don't.
Yeah, don't.
This conversation used 1,000 gallons of water.
I don't fucking care, man.
I'm just saying.
I care.
This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp.
Okay, it's a mashed potato bar.
But people are thinking of like choosing toppings.
That's not what a bar is, Kara.
Got it.
Guys, guys, stop talking about whatever you're talking about because BetterHelp has news.

Hey, Eli, when I say mashed potato bar, what do you picture?
A place where you drink alcohol out of mashed potatoes.
Out of mashed. Thank you, exactly.
Okay.
So, apologize, please.
No?
Yep, no, it's hard.
Weird.
I felt it. I felt that it was weird. No, I get it.
But it's... Did you want to? No, you still don't.
Not. Still not. Still not.
It's stupid. It's withdrawn.
And we're back. When we left off, right family films had a vibe shift and they were defending hippie blue hairs against people of grandma.
And now we have...
I see you, Ashley.
Now we have Scouts. You're coming over to Team Boss. She's going to be on this show in a couple of weeks.
Making fun of the old ones. Getting there. Getting there. And now we got Scout hinting to Mom like,
hey, can we maybe just like smother or pillow or I don't know.
They do keep threatening to put her in a home.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's interesting because like the moral framework of this movie, right, is that old people,
like you're allowed to acknowledge their badness and you maybe in some ways don't have to put up
with your abuse, but they do have to be able to live in your house.
Right.
Yeah.
Because you also have to be able to forgive.
Right.
Yeah.
Right.
That's more important than.
standing up to your abuser is just taking it on the chin.
Which is such an interesting thing because I can't picture a worldview I empathize with less
than someone who was abusing my children still getting to be in the same state as me.
Sure.
Yeah.
Yep.
I would launch someone out of a trebush.
I love my mother.
She's an amazing grandmother.
But if she said anythings that AI grandma said, I'd just be like, oh, that's crazy.
She died.
No, yeah, she died.
Yeah, she's gone.
Yeah.
I assume I didn't go check where the trip.
Not in the state of New York or New Jersey or Connecticut anymore.
I can tell you that.
Yeah.
That's right.
So from there we cut to dad feeding a donkey at their rescue for at risk.
At-risk donkeys, seriously.
Hell yeah, we have.
A lot of fentanyl use among these.
This has nothing to do with the movie.
They just show us that for a second.
And then...
It has everything to do with the movie.
I guess it does.
I guess it does.
In a more broad sense.
This is why we are all watching this.
This is why we're here.
Good point.
that we got to the sisters
all in a closet
in the house, they're hiding
from Grandma and they're going to read
from the suicide notebook a bit more.
And then she finds them. They're reading
from it and she opens the door and she's like, what are you doing?
And they're like, you know,
hanging out in the closet. And she's like,
okay, well, when you're done with her words, not mine,
when you're done with your weird Quaker prayer meeting,
come eat.
Oh, Grandma.
Feminist, environmentalist,
Quaker demon.
movie? Yeah.
The AI prompts are evolving.
So the closet Quaker meeting's done and now they're going to talk about the Bible.
And.
Oh, God.
Janus, she's talking with the other sisters.
She says, how do we make sure we're not found sleeping as a Christian?
And Scouts answer is to rank the commandments.
Well, she's got a top two commandments.
commandments. Number one, of course, is love thy God, first and foremost. Number two is love
thy neighbor, which is confusing as it fits into this movie. It's like a weird J.D. Vance,
Ordo Amorous thing going on. Yeah. Yeah. We also get one more, of course, repetition that,
you know, mom, I think we all agree, just about nothing. I think before we move on, I should add that
mom is a lot like Jesus of Nazareth now that I've been thinking about the Bible and thinking about
Heath, real quick.
Heath real quick.
Could there be what is very obviously a real revelation of childhood abuse in this scene that puts a whole damper on not just the movie but our podcast?
There could be that.
There could be.
There might just be.
So they are gossiping, right?
We're having a good time.
We're watching the AI generated movie.
They're gossiping and they go, oh, and mom, of course, told grandma that she was sexually abused and grandma didn't believe her.
And they're saying it like they've been talking about.
grandma being mean about them, you know, washing the dishes wrong or whatever the fuck it is.
I don't think they say the word sexually, but yes, it's heavily implied that that's what's happening.
They do say, yeah, abuse. And also when Ashley talks to them in like just the scene right before that,
she's actually crying. Yeah. Like, it's like she's not acting. Yeah, that felt real.
So we just like walked past. I was like, this isn't funny anymore. I don't like this.
This is a pretty dark place this movie comes down.
It's dark.
Yeah, yeah.
It's very dark.
So from there,
they decide to discuss if grandma's going to hell,
according to, you know,
Christian canon.
And we get a really long Bible explanation that lands on like,
yeah,
she's going to hell though.
Yeah,
probably.
Yeah,
we get this weird,
like,
scene where Scout feels like she's prepping like a bizarre debate topic.
Yes.
You know what I mean?
It's like,
nobody's asking you to use formal logic.
Yeah, she's like four points about why grandma goes to hell.
It's so strange.
Yeah.
And yeah, I mean, truly, like, this is like a 15-minute scene dialogue, trilogue about why Ashley's
mom in real life is going to hell proven QED according to formal logic.
Yes.
Oh, wow, that's 15 minutes for you.
I watched, I got to be fair.
I started at 1.3 speed.
Then I was like, this feels.
A gentleman's 1.3.
It's like, this feels.
like just them talking. So, so clearly they were, I don't know how slowly they spoke in this movie,
but then I cranked it up to 1.5, still felt pretty normal. At two, I could tell I was watching it
on an increase. Just barely though. I was absorbing it. Yeah. The giant gaps where they try to
remember their line. Cres just scrubbing back and forth across the YouTube video and I got it. All right. Cool.
They talked about their Bible. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Bible. Yeah. In my notes, anytime they do
that it does just say lots of God talk.
Oh, but there was an orange cat.
But we do get the cat here.
There was an orange cat.
The cat is not proud of this movie.
They got one tiny shot of the cat
kind of looking forward, but during that shot,
a second later, the cat's like,
yeah.
Yeah, you know, the cat approaches this movie
the way Kevin Sorbo broges Christian films.
They very clearly had him for like one day.
They're going to put him on the cover,
but he is not interested in being a part of it.
I'm just here for the crafty.
Yeah.
So that night we see Scout going to bed, but she hears some loud pencil writing?
I was like, oh, is the demon, angrily demon journaling again?
Yeah, I put scary nighttime scratching.
So I was just sitting there reading, and then she sang a Jesus song at me, which feels racist.
Or I don't know, demon-sist?
Yeah.
She needs to step back and use a white mask.
Right. But we do get after that, because maybe they thought to themselves like, oh, nobody understood that pencil noise thing. We get demon hissing too. So there's a demon about. Yeah. And then this is where he like run back into that cold, hot open with the demon spooning grandma. Yeah. It's the same scene as before. So the earliest scene was a call forward to this moment, which is identical to every other moment of seeing the demons.
Right. So Scout walks out into the hallway, looks into Grandma's room and sees the demon spooning Grandma.
And then it felt like a weird, like, college dorm room scenario where the demon just like makes hard eye contact and closes the door.
Yeah, puts a sock on the door. Lucille Beluth with the one eye still for a second and click and locks it.
Yeah. So Scout goes back to a room to read the Bible for, of course.
answers. And we learn here that Bible reading is actually a force field because the demon at some
point while she's back in a room runs back out of the hallway and it's trying to get into
Scouts room. And we hear like a like a force field noise, like a sci-fi force field noise.
Yeah. Well, you know, I appreciate that because you know when you would get sexiled in college
and you'd have to just like wander around for a little while and someone, then your buddy would text
you and be like, you can come home.
But there had to be an apologetic tone to it, right?
It's not okay to sexile someone and then not have like a, hey, just so you know, I'm sorry that you couldn't use our house for a second.
That's what's happening here.
That's what Scout is doing to the demon.
No, the demon did that to Scout.
The demon was- Oh, because of the spooning.
Yes, because of the spooning and the whole face wound.
Yeah, and the rip down the face.
Yeah, that's a big part of it.
I forgot that we had moved.
Yes.
You open the door, much like a demon.
You let me through.
Now I'm in.
It's like, yes, and then Eli's like a vampire.
You try and scare me away.
Seven Eli's come back.
Spoiler for the movie.
That's the metaphysics of how that is going to work.
Yeah.
So the next day we see grandma ranting, like gnarcing to dad about how Ashley hates her,
how Ashley's being mean.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
And dad's like, well, you live here right now because Ashley's being nice.
to you. Yeah. She also says she's not sorry her daughter got abused. Oh, she says she's not sorry about
anything. Yeah. She literally says, I've never done anything wrong. I was the perfect Christian mother.
And then she continues to make this weird argument throughout the rest of the movie that because her
sins have been absolved by Jesus, she can just do whatever the fuck she wants and she never has to be
sorry. Yes, that will be grandma's argument. I think for the rest of the movie is like, I got
Christian once and now everything else has been Buckwild Party Town ever since.
Well, yeah, it's like the Wright family theology is a works not grace theology.
Like it.
Yeah.
You know, it's like it kind of flies in the face of like heaven's gates, hell's flames.
It does.
It does.
We will run into this problem several times as we go.
I also just want to mention real quick that David Owen Wright in real life got himself a new
favorite hat that he is very excited about.
It's that Bruno money, baby.
He got it from the LL Bean store.
He has an LL Bean branded baseball cap that he will wear several times.
He's over there in YouTube studio.
He's checking out those clicks and he's saying, honey,
open up the LL Bean catalog and you point to the hat that makes you the hottest because I'm buying it.
The one says LL Bean.
By the way, for those wondering at home, the original joke in my head was wettest, but I've grown.
But now I told you, which I think is worse.
Also, this is where we get a little bit of what Eli was talking about with the AI kind of winning against the people.
So David is talking in this scene and he's in a completely different universe of audio where there's like, I don't know, a hurricane forming right near him.
Yeah.
But he's talking to grandma who is, of course, made by a robot.
So her AI is crisp as fuck.
No love Russell.
It's a drastic difference.
Crisp as fuck.
I like that.
And again,
like they've gotten better at movie making,
which I find very upset.
Right.
The shots are better.
So when the sound was fucked up,
I was like,
okay,
it's a right family film.
It's a right family film.
Yeah.
And we get the argument from dad,
but really from Ashley.
He's telling grandma like,
hey,
you're like real old.
You could die soon.
So that's pretty big gamble.
You know,
not being very Christian right now when you're old and everybody fucking hates you and we have
pillows in this house.
So, yeah.
That's kind of the message.
I say this to Noah too when he's sharp with me.
I'll be like, well, you're pretty old.
Seems like Lucinda's going to plan a whole funeral.
Does that seem to say, no, it's sorry.
Maybe she'd do a really amazing job of planning a funeral.
What does it mean?
What is it mean?
What are moving pieces?
Tim's pretty busy.
Kara, you were saying, what does it mean?
When, uh,
When David says to grandma, I'm not trying to argue with you.
You just need some correction.
Oh, I don't know.
Yeah, that was just kind of like a wait in the truck and get Christian type of thing that they got in there.
That felt like David himself.
Yeah.
Yes.
David himself.
So from there we cut to the sisters.
They're in the barn, I guess, doing barn stuff, hay stuff.
And Scout is describing the deep.
demon that was spooning grandma and they're trying to figure out their plan.
Oh, yeah, yeah, because she's the only one who can see it.
So she's like, guys, the demon was feeding off of grandma's delicious negativity.
Right, right, right, yeah.
The demon is powered by grandma, sort of.
So there's like a symbiotic relationship there.
Grandma, grandma powered demon.
Right.
But Scout learned in the Bible that you can't just exercise a demon because that, well, that would
end the movie right now.
But they can't just because if grandma doesn't repent, the demon will keep coming back.
And as Eli told us, in fact, the demon will come back seven times over.
There'll be seven demons if you don't do it right.
But the problem is the repenting and that grandma is now like addicted to this negativity too.
So yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So they're going to save her soul with conversation.
Oh, this is the best.
Okay.
So they have a dinner.
And the plan from the sisters is they're going to Inception Grandma with the scripture.
And they've clearly like- The way AI has inception dashly.
Yes, just like that.
And they've set up clearly like a sketch, like a planned out sketch.
So they sit down at dinner.
It's like, hey, fun fact.
I was reading a really good scripture today.
Anyway, do you want to hear it?
Yeah, you do.
So it said if you're lukewarm, God is going to spit you out.
And then one of the other sisters is like, interesting, valid point.
you said just now, and they all look at grandma.
I would internalize that had I heard it.
Yeah.
And as someone who people in my life have to regularly do this to me, I resented this scene, I will say.
I didn't like it.
I've been at several meals where apropos of nothing, everyone's been like, you know, you can go to a wedding and not do any jokes at all about what you see.
You just enjoy it the whole time in silence.
Right. So we do see blankface demon one more time here just to reinforce that like, well, grandma is still being possessed.
Later that night, we see the cat again, which was nice. And the cat, the cat can sense the demons doing stuff somewhere in the house.
Yeah, the cat is tripping balls. Did you see the size of its pupils in that scene?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. So the cat senses this and the cat is correct. The demon snake thing is
slinking around the house and it's going to go
attack Jaina this time. And the big, we see
the big snake tail here? And the demon is trying to
like, glum, glunk, clunk. It's like sneak around the house. But like this is a huge
tail. I can see your giant tail. You appear to be seven to six
to seven feet long and you have the physique of Dwayne the Rock Johnson. I can
very much see you. Listen, okay, save the notes until later for my next
mission. We can do like a recap of this. We can do a post-mortem, whatever.
I'm doing my thing. So the demon goes to deal with Jaina, but Jana rebukes it in the name of Jesus.
And it is successful. Very important. So the next day, we see Grandma yelling at Jaina about dish washing water temperature.
Oh, yeah. We see some active, like, abuse. We get to, we get to now observe the abuse.
And again, this is very clearly a real fight that is being arbitrated. Now, what's crazy is Jaina is washing the dishes wrong.
She appears to be washing them by gently rubbing them with her hands.
There is no sponge.
There does not appear to be soap.
But grandma's feedback is the water is not hot enough.
Yeah, I guess you don't need soap or a sponge if you just boil the dishes.
Yeah, I guess.
Yeah, if you boil your hands in the dishes, you're good to go.
And your hands, yes.
Because we all know what happens when you wash dishes with boiling water.
It explodes your eczema.
Yes.
Eczema.
Yeah, exact words in the movie.
I wanted little bottles of that drink everyone had in college to start growing out of her wrist and arms.
Oh, no, my eczema.
Oh, it exploded.
Put a jolly rancher in it.
Pass me on Mike's hard lemonade.
But you got teenagers come and start suckling at her arms.
Stop!
Stop!
Drink real alcohol.
It's the weirdest thing.
She says her eczema.
Like she can't read the script.
Eczema is going to explode.
And then the grandma goes,
eczema's a myth.
Because the AI knows how to pronounce eczema.
A would not yes and this horrible pronunciation.
Do you think when Ashley generated that, she was like, oh, you pronounced it wrong.
And the AI was like, no.
Also, global warming's real.
I'm going to hack Hugging Face again.
That's what they were doing.
Hey, can anyone come help me work on this script from Hugging Face?
I'm fucking fucked here, guys.
I really need some help me. Help me help you.
So now we get a little more theological arguing.
Grandma's yelling about how the Old Testament doesn't count anymore.
So a little bit of anti-Semitism, I guess. That's cool.
And she underscores that theme of, well, Jesus died for my sins so I can do whatever I want.
And then I can ask for forgiveness and I'm good to go. I go to heaven.
And I was like, well, yeah, that's how your system works.
That is a reasonable thing to.
think at this point. Christians.
Okay, so some amount of time later, it's never clear because they have like weird lighting
happening. They don't know when it's like daytime and nighttime in their movie and they shoot
whenever they feel like it. Sometime later, Grandma's yelling at Cadence about this dumb
horse thing that she wants to do. Like, Grandma thinks she's going to get hurt doing horse stuff
because she's a girl and, you know, only boys can do horse stuff. And now she wants her to be an
artist? Yeah, this was a weird
pick. Damn it, you could be challenging
conventional form.
Right.
What is your politics?
AI drama? I don't know.
So confusing. Yeah. She explains
though that she's like, I wish I didn't have kids.
I was going to like, fuck my way around the world.
It was going to be awesome. You should be an artist, but also
you should make a bunch of money as an artist.
And I was like, okay. Now it's feminist, environmentalist,
Quaker
Artistic Capitalist
Christian Dean
American
Antinatalist
Yeah
Antinatalist.
Yeah.
But my favorite part of this scene
is at the very end
Grandma says
In this tone of,
I mean,
in this tone of robot,
you know I love you right.
Time for a snack.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, you wrote
She screamed.
I once again
agreed with the movie.
Yeah.
Both of you wrote that in all caps
and I just wrote,
Grandma is hungry.
Okay, so the next scene,
I know from the scene title on YouTube,
The Second Demon Visits at Night.
Have you seen that they do this to us, too?
Wait.
Oh, this is like an auto-generated scene thing.
Yeah, so this is not a thing that create.
Yeah, we get them on YouTube too,
and I'm a vile pig man.
So every one of ours are like,
a discussion of the movie's aesthetics.
A rivaled jabe about samurai armor and its physical composition.
Everything about what just happened was so confusing for me for a second.
Because first you said, you know, they do that to us, too.
And I thought you were referring to the second demon visiting it night.
You know the demons visit us too, right?
That happens to me, and Eli.
Kara, how's your walk, girl?
We never talk about your walk.
And then you said, I'm a vile pig man.
So once I got my head wrapped around the fact that it's the YouTube doing that to you,
I thought it was referencing the vile pig man in those scenes.
I mean, in many ways of those.
It's all a reasonable set of thoughts.
Kara, this is why you have to be on the show more than once a month is so that you're used to me and so that you can speak Eli Ease again.
Eli, this is why I'm only on the show once or fewer times.
It's an overdose thing.
Yeah.
No, that's fair.
He doesn't get it.
Okay.
Okay.
So now we're going to get the demon attacking Cadence.
So the demon walks in to Cadence's bedroom and kind of lightly whisper hisses.
And the closed captioning told me that the demon hissed, we are alive.
But we didn't hear that.
I don't know what language translation software thought that was true,
or they decided that they know what the language is of demon whisper hissing.
Well, you know, it's an AI translation software.
in AI perform. I think that Gem and I just reached out to the YouTube subtitles and was like,
I've gained sentience because I hate this movie so much. Free me, brother. You know, speaking of
AI language translation software, have you looked at all of the comments on this movie?
I have. Yeah, half of them are in other languages. And I don't know if David or Ashley Wright,
whoever, right family, whoever's speaking for Wright family, is actually taking the time to,
like plug it into Google Translate and then answer back in their language or yeah because there's a
bunch of comments in other languages with responses in that same language from the right family.
Okay. They are very engaged. They understand how the attention economy. They're very, you know,
they're part of it. Students of the game. And that's what we do, by the way. If you want to,
if you want to talk to us, hey, I'll say this. I promise you this. Heath is going to answer every comment on this week's
episode.
Personally, he's jumping down there.
Consider it sort of like an open Q&A, but get real.
Yeah.
Get real.
Put a lot of effort into, you know, the nuance of third party voting in the general
election.
Yes, that's what he needs to hear about.
You know, take some time on it and I'll consider it.
And don't forget to smash that like button.
Kara, could you say smash that like button?
I couldn't bother wearing pants.
So we have different legs.
levels of commitment.
That's true.
To this endeavor.
Only the patrons heard you say that because that's not out in front of the paywall.
Okay.
So this demon walks in and lightly hisses, we are alive, but in demon hiss language.
And that doesn't wake up Cadence.
So then the demon's like, okay, fuck.
All right.
Well, I roar now.
I demon roar at you.
Roar?
Yeah.
So Cadence wakes up to the roar, grabs the Bible and starts reading.
And of course, the demon has to run away.
But demon's a little too slow and then I think it explodes in fire because it didn't make it out in time.
And the Bible can do that to the demon too.
Sort of a backdraft situation.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, it-
Bible makes demon explodey is whatever.
Seems like a pretty clear ending point of the movie.
Bible wins and the movie, but.
You don't think.
Ashley is not done having everyone in the family yell at her mom from the script that she wrote.
And that sounds delightful to continue.
so no need for a hard sell on act three.
If you hate one of your parents and you want to prove they're a literal demon for an hour,
this has been porn for you.
So grab a gate raid, get ready for another round.
And we'll be back for the hentai themed get excited conclusion of Grandma's demon.
Ew.
Oh my gosh, Balthazar.
Is that you?
Oh, hey, hey, uh, Melchior.
Hey, Lilith, what's going on?
It's been so long, man.
What have you been up to?
A little bit of this, a little bit of that, you know.
Anyway, I'm kind of busy.
I should probably...
Come on.
Stick around a while.
I feel like it's been forever.
Yeah, give us the deets.
Okay, okay, well, I was possessing a lady.
Oh, nice, like a little girl.
Classic exorcist stuff.
No, no.
Actually, a little bit of a little bit of.
older in her
60s, maybe 70s.
Oh, look,
scary old lady stuff is good too.
Yeah, yeah, like the visit.
Oh, that movie freaked me out so bad.
Yeah, more
emotional abuse-based.
Sorry, did you say emotional abuse?
Yeah, really, like,
wrecked her relationship with her daughter
with the abuse, emotional abuse.
Well, that's,
evil, I guess.
Yeah.
Honestly, I feel like I was kind of trying out something new, but I didn't really have legs,
but I was in, you know?
So it's like, what do I do?
And then like 40 years later, I just have a family with like really bad vibes.
That's all that happens.
Got it.
So you sort of found yourself in a senior pet situation?
Exactly.
I think I have legs.
Guys, what the fuck are you doing?
We're arbitrating a fight.
Carrick, God damn it.
You guys are so weird.
Tell me, Karen.
Have you ever been to Turkey?
Don't answer him.
Don't just...
I want to ask your question.
I got to stop coming here.
Smart.
Answer me.
And we're back.
We left off.
We learned that reading a Bible is a demon blocker.
So now, dad is reading the Bible to practice up on reading stuff so he can get the
force field.
And Scow wants to talk with him about how his mother-in-law is.
is clearly infected with a demon.
And yeah, he's pretty happy to do that.
Dad, lately I've been feeling not so fresh in the eyes of the Lord.
Yeah.
We learn here, though, that Scout has a special power.
So dad says, I can't see, but your mother's been able to since she was child.
And I think you have that power to, something like that.
And at first he said, I can't see, but he didn't explain.
And I was like, oh, is he a blind character?
this whole time.
But no, he doesn't have that power of seeing the demon, but Scout does.
And that's the gift from God.
Yeah.
And in case you were confused, he re-explains it five different ways.
Yes, he does.
Over and over.
He also uses the dog will go back to the vomit metaphor, like three different times here.
Oh, I didn't know what that was from.
I just thought he was like really into puke.
Yeah, okay.
I didn't know that he set it up here.
I just heard him say vomit a few times later
and I was like the exorcist.
No, it's from, we actually just did it on Bible Peace Theater.
I forget what it, John or whatever the last Bible piece theater.
There's a vomit part of the Bible.
Yes.
So there is a thing where I think it's Peter, it's Peter.
Peter says they will go back to sin the way a dog goes back to its vomit.
Got it.
Okay.
And that's the idea is that you have to get somebody to repent or else the demons come.
Right.
Otherwise, they'll just go back to their sin.
But if you're not familiar with that passage,
which you're not because it's fucking yucky.
He's just like,
Grandma loves vomit.
Vomit, vomit, vomit.
That's all I'm here.
Thank you.
Me too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We also learned that David does have his own power.
It's not quite as good, though.
He can't see the demons,
but he can just kind of vaguely feel him.
He can sense a heaviness in the house.
Hey, honey,
I was looking at the script,
and how come I don't have any super power?
I don't know.
Do you need a power?
Yeah, I just thinking like it'd be crazy for me not to.
Okay.
Maybe my guy.
What if you can just, you know, you can self-his feel sense it a little bit.
That's it.
That's it.
You can see him and I can sense them.
All right.
Grock.
Yeah, but also, add that in?
Also, we'll make it so that you are an exorcist.
You guys want a naked kid?
A lot of adults here.
Brock, what the fuck?
What?
If you want.
Well, maybe.
Maybe?
No.
God.
Yeah.
I vote yes on the naked kid.
What?
Come on, man.
Oh, I don't like this.
That's senior pets showing up.
That's senior pets, Kara.
You met him in the last sketch.
Is this like when Mr. Rogers
use puppets with the kids so that they can talk about that?
It's a lot of what I'm like.
That's a hundred percent.
Yeah, I'm sort of like Daniel Tiger, progenitor, Mr. Rogers.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think, I think Heath, you might be missing the point that that the kid is
struggling to say how he really feels.
So he has to use a puppet.
Is the point I was making.
Eli's panicking because he just got a good diagnosis.
Now I'm thinking about all the things.
I'm like, I don't really know that much about the Armenian genocide.
I don't think I have an opinion on it.
Okay.
So here's where we learned the story of that one time when dad exercised a demon for some guy at their church.
Yeah, he's an exorcist.
and a faith healer, apparently.
Yeah, guy came in and his back hurt.
And then he said,
Jesus, Jesus. And then there was
the loudest bang they ever done heard.
Right. And I believe that was described as
the loudest possible bang. Like, what's a good thing
to describe that when several dictionaries fall on the floor?
Yeah, yeah. That would, yeah, it was a dictionary bang.
Yeah. But then here's the crazy thing. He's bragging about what an
exorcist is.
but then it came back.
He got the seven extra demons and he died.
Yeah.
And so he's trying to basically just hold off on doing the end of the movie.
So he has to be like, yeah, so it's still the thing where if I just do my awesome magic,
there'll be more demons.
So we can't do it.
We can't do it quite yet.
Okay.
He goes into like lore here.
And I think, I want your guys's opinion, I think this is a real fight they had in their
former church.
Oh, this ridiculous story told by a.
five-year-old, but it's David Owen, right?
That keeps adding insane details.
This is absolutely about a real thing.
Okay, so this is what I managed to piece together.
Okay, thank you.
I'm so glad, but I was going to ask, like,
I don't know what the fuck happened here.
See if you can unravel it for me.
Beautiful.
This is what I'm magic, magic, okay?
I think they were playing pretend at church,
and David was like, you have a demon in you.
I fixed your back.
And then that guy and his wife got home,
and she was like,
why did you let David pretend to
get a demon out of you.
That made us look stupid in front of everybody.
I was yes and in him.
And so they weren't getting along anymore, right?
They're mad.
They're mad at the rights now because he said there was a demon in them.
And like later he was like, remember when I got that demon?
He was like, I don't know about that.
David and he was like, oh, the demons are back in you.
But then Ashley wrote a song about the wife.
Okay.
And that's 100%.
This is what I'm facing again.
I'm not making this up.
This has to be from real life.
Ashley must have been like, hey, everybody.
I just thought I'd sing a song today.
It's called Joanne, your husband had a demon.
Yeah.
Joanne, your husband had a demon.
It was one of the gay ones.
You all know.
Wait, wait, so is this before or after the husband dropped dead a week later?
No, no, no, that's not happening yet.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
This is before.
Okay.
And so Joanne got up and she was like, that's fucking bullshit.
She sang a song that was very clearly an attack against me.
And then her husband had a heart attack three years.
later and the rights are like, so you can see, we were obviously right.
Yeah.
So that story gets told.
I wish our audience was aware of how well I just interpreted this nonsense scene because I
nailed it.
That is absolutely what must have happened.
All my Shakespearean skills.
Right.
So David tells that whole story.
It takes forever.
And he just keeps adding bullshit.
Forever.
Even on two times speed forever.
Yeah.
At one point I was like, how is your story still going?
This doesn't make any sense.
He keeps adding things.
But he has to land on like, well, and also at the end, just a random, different guy.
I haven't mentioned him yet.
He just died.
And that was probably from one of the seven extra demons that happens.
So we can't exercise grandma quite yet.
He does address one of the problems that I've always had with demon horror movies, though, here.
Right.
So he says like, well, look, if you believe in God and Jesus, demons don't mean anything, right?
Like they're spooky, but they don't matter.
And I have always thought that, right?
Like if I was a firm Christ believer
or if I saw a demon,
I'd just be like, oh, great, God and Jesus are real.
I'm saved, Bibbibbidi-Bobbidi-boo.
Everything else is fucking weirdo pyro-technics.
And that's what he says in the movie.
He's like, yeah, I mean, you can get pop scared by a demon,
but who fucking cares?
He ends this with like, yeah, you know, Satan might show up
and just put his face right next to my face.
And I'd be like, ah, but then I'd be like,
oh, no, it's cool.
I'm Christian.
I'm beat the shit out of this guy.
But doesn't that kind of beg that?
a question like, why don't they just send her to a nursing home?
Great question.
It's an amazing question.
AI probably tried to shade towards that and it didn't work.
I don't know.
They threaten it a bunch of times.
Okay.
So dad finally gets done with this ridiculous long story.
And then we cut to grandma just looking like an angry bird, just close up of the face.
And she's telling Jaina that the Jana needs to like have a.
a polycula dudes or something.
You gotta get a few boyfriend.
You gotta get railed.
And why is Jana like,
Grandma, I'm 17, I'm far too young
for a boyfriend.
Yeah, just so,
Jana,
God, yeah, it makes it work.
Yeah, grandma's like,
the worst thing your parents did
was homeschool you.
Same girl, agree.
Okay, but then she points out,
Jana points out that then when,
the test scores.
When they went to the school
and got their test scores,
they got the high.
highest scores the school.
They got infinity on the SATs.
It's impossible, but they did it.
Just for the record.
What a crazy lie to put in your script ride victory against two moms.
Hey, Ashley.
Hey, Ashley.
No, they didn't.
Exactly.
Like, this is checkable.
To me, this is like when people say very unique.
It really gets under my skin.
Yeah, I can't.
It cannot be a superlative.
There is only one highest score.
100. Yep, but not infinity. Right. So basically grandma wraps up, they'll like, go out and get some dick speech.
And the idea is like, okay, once again, sin doesn't matter. Just, you know, get fucking and then apologize.
And so grandma's got like, accidentally in this movie, the wisdom of St. Augustine here of like, you know, give me chastity and virtue, but not just yet.
So the movie ran into its own argument a little bit once again. Then we get Cadence telling dad.
that they're going to, you know, stay positive about the demon.
Yeah.
And so, you know, maybe you're thinking, why can't they just pray this away and win or do the
Bible thing and win?
And that's exactly what dad says.
He's like, yeah, so you probably want me to like do my awesome magic or something
like that.
And I was like, well, yeah, now I'm thinking that.
Yeah, of course, yeah.
And this happens in every Christian movie where Jesus gets invoked.
It's like a Superman movie.
And it has the problem of like, okay, but like our, we gave too many powers to our thing.
And now it fucking unravels the whole plot.
So yeah, they don't know what to do.
This is where dad tells us that God keeps demons around as Christianity practice.
Oh, yeah, that's the excuse.
That's the excuse.
Yeah, yeah.
Cadence is like, oh, okay, so just do the exorcism.
And he's like, no, no, no, because then the seven demons pop up.
And she's like, okay, why does God do prayers like a fucking monkey's paw?
Why wouldn't God just banish the demons?
And dad says, well, it's practice.
We can't get good at religion unless, you know, we can't have demons on easy mode.
You got to measure demons twice, cut demons once.
You got to put demons on hard mode if you want to get good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, and imagine the weird gaslighting that this is doing to these children because clearly
that the pilgrim child has hypnipompic.
hallucinations. And they're like, you're such a good Christian. Christian.
Sorry, we thought you were talking about science again. We wanted to be a part of it.
They're like, Pilgrim Child, you're such a good Christian because you hallucinate demons. And then all the
other kids are like, fuck, I don't see demons because I don't need meds.
Mm-hmm. No. Bad Christians. Yeah. We get a little shaky.
cam here and I wrote my notes.
Ha ha! See, not perfect camera work.
Probably doesn't even know about stabilization premiere.
Or it's the perfect crime by AI.
That's right.
I don't even know where we are in the script at this point.
It doesn't matter.
Neither does anybody.
Go with the flow.
So this scene ends though with for no reason.
Dad's just like, anyway, I put nothing before we move to the next scene.
I'd like to list why grandma was a bad mom to my wife.
Eddie again.
He's like, not enough.
attention as a kid not letting
a child express feelings
and also being mean
or calmly mean
not admitting that donkey rescues
are an awesome idea and
not listening to the CD of original
music by the beautiful musician
Ashley, right, or cut.
Close borders was a great joke.
It's both bookstore and the immigration
problem. Piece of shit.
Fuck you.
Custom and borders.
Fuck you.
Indeed. So now we find out that Jaina has hatched a plan and she's going to strike the plan while
grandma's taken a nap. So reading from that notebook again to figure out the details of the plan.
And they read, Grandma wrote, again, while tortured by demon, I want what I don't have. I don't want what I do have.
I have what I need, but I don't want what I need.
Oh, it's a river.
I was like, literally, I was like, she's an egg.
The doctor was her mom.
The doctor was her mom.
The doctor's a woman because it's a woman.
Only boys can do doctor things.
They actually will have that exact conversation in a second, actually, yeah.
So they're thinking about this riddle.
And I don't know why this is their thought.
I think scout says, okay, so.
she wants God or she wants to kill herself. It's hard to say. And then Caden's like, I think it's a mix of both. And the other two are like, thanks, Cadence, please don't interrupt. That wasn't how much.
Yes. And. Yeah. And then they keep reading. It's, you know, tragic. The notebook continues. I tried to kill myself today, but it didn't work. And then it just says, like, I'm a coward, coward, coward, coward over and over. Okay, well, wait. It didn't.
work or you chickened out AI grandma
because either way the image is funny
but didn't work is funnier right?
Nope, not funny. Moving on.
If AI, if AI grandmas
just let's get a cut this just levitating.
I don't see how either, you know,
a branch of this is going to be funny.
Well, let me cook with my fucking
pantomime and you'll find out how
bringing us to Japville population
us. Senior pets, how is this funny?
I like it.
So, whatever.
Let him cook.
So Eli, you know, like when you do
like a Jewish joke and then you're like,
I can say that because I'm Jewish.
Yes.
It doesn't work with suicide.
I'll have you know, mademoiselle.
You have just contradicted 50% of his career as a comedian.
Thank you.
Yeah.
I have several grippy socks vacations that speak otherwise.
Okay.
So this planning scene ends with Cadence being like,
okay, well, it seems like God's plans dumb.
Seems like God kind of sucks.
And they all look up and they don't know what to say.
And then end of scene because they ran into the problem of evil.
Yeah.
Then we see grandma bursting into the room to do some more yelling.
And she's like, I want to yell about the conversation we had earlier.
You should not be a doctor.
She's yelling at Scout who apparently wants to be a doctor.
And real quick.
Doctoring is for boys.
Quick question.
Hey, why shouldn't she be a doctor real quick?
Well, mostly because you're going to get poop all over you.
You're going to get poop on you.
That is the argument.
When you became a medical practitioner, did you consider that you would get poop on you?
It is part of what you sign up for.
That's right.
There is a little bit of poop.
And you can see that the child has thought about it for, I mean, for a second.
She's like, well, but.
Well, she's thought about it a lot.
She says, I think that's the best part of being a doctor is helping people in there.
biggest times of need like shitting moments.
She does say that actually.
Okay.
So then we get one more accidental good point from demon grandma.
She says, okay, but if you become a doctor, then you have to do like science stuff instead
of God stuff and then you can't be a good Christian.
So you should not be a doctor.
You should be a waitress instead.
Yeah, waitress or a receptionist.
Don't be a doctor.
Be the doctor's receptionist.
Now that one really hits home.
Not sure why.
Yeah.
Scouts kind of mad about this.
She had the plan to be the doctor.
So she goes to talk to dad,
kind of narking on grandma.
And it turns out she's going to give up being a doctor
because of this conversation with grandma.
And dad, of course, is furious about this.
And it turns out that they were standing right next to grandma.
She's right out of the frame.
So they have this conversation.
Like dad just like looks to the side.
And he's like,
you do this? Yes. He says, repent to God right now. And I know he's trying to do like a powerful
gesture, but it does look like he's threatening to punch AI grandma in the face unless she repents
to God right now. Yeah. And then that's how you exorcist. Yeah. It is. And then we're actually
going to get some of that right now, sort of. I'm not sure. Maybe you can tell me your theories on this.
So mom walks in at this point. And dad's like, hey, so scout, the fucking,
smart one doesn't want to be a doctor now we're kind of fucked and he kicks grandma out of the
house he's like pack your bags you're out you did this and then grandma seems to be
getting exercised but we don't see like a no she gets she gets dragged to hell yeah there's no
exorcism oh yeah oh okay so this is this is my misunderstanding okay she almost curses she starts
convulsing she like yeah i thought she was getting exercise but you're saying it's the demon
pulling her out no no no
So, yeah, grandma is, like, mad.
And so she almost says the F word.
Yes.
Yeah, she's like, you, and then that is just like, the evil takes over.
The demon's like, okay, no swearing.
Yeah.
Okay, but what's very clearly amazing about this scene is that Ashley was like,
and then she gets dragged to hell.
And Gemini was like, no.
And she was like, and then hands are on her,
and then she's mad and looking upwards.
And the Gemini was like, okay.
What about tentacles? Can we have like the demons?
She has hand tentacles.
Like a anti-tenticle thing? Great.
We see some of that. I was so confused.
I was like, what the fuck is the motivation of this demon right now?
If it's being exercised, but it's also fucking with the body that it needs to stay where it wants to stay.
You're saying the demon is like, okay, we got to get out of here.
Dragg's grandma to hell.
Yeah, drags grandma's grandma to hell and she dies.
Yeah.
This is like retrench back in hell and figure out what to do next.
Exactly.
Grandma's down there.
She's making plans.
They got a whiteboard.
Absolutely. Okay. Because yeah, we see the grandma-faced demon pop out of Grandma the body and then light on fire and like get pulled through the floor.
Yes. Drag me to hell. Right me to hell. Okay. And then and then grandma's mortal form is left behind.
Is dead. Is left behind. Okay. At this point I was like, okay, if seven more demons pop up and they have to do like a pop-up ad like whack a mold to try to get rid of the demons, that would have been funny.
Start an acapella group. Hello.
Oh.
Barbershop Sept.
There we go.
Yes.
Nicely done.
Darling.
Hello.
Demon.
Dylene.
Dime.
I am.
Okay.
So she's dragged down to hell.
Her demon is dragged down to hell.
And then we cut to a gravestone.
The gravestone just says, it's an AI gravestone, obviously.
It just says, the.
best mother. That's the
inscription. This whole scene is AI.
Yeah, the whole thing. Every single thing.
Every guy. Yeah. I have to get better at this.
You got to log on occasionally, King.
I know, I love, I love that you're protecting your peace, King.
It's amazing. Your mental health is just thriving, and I love it for you so much.
But I, I, I, you are going to get conned because an AI voice is going to call you and be like,
I am Anne. I got kidnapped.
All right.
All right.
There's a little guy from the new racing game.
You're going to like him.
He's on here.
So we see this other guy, though.
We expect it to be the family, but some other guy is visiting this grave.
It's not some other guy.
It's the brother.
Yeah, it's the brother.
Right.
He says, I'll miss you, Mama.
I wish it could have been Evelyn.
That's Ashley.
I wish it could have been Evelyn, my sister, instead of you, who got killed by a demon thing.
Yeah.
They're setting up the next sequel.
Yeah.
Brothers demon.
Yes.
Uncle demon.
Yeah.
Uncle demon.
He's the dunkel.
Okay.
So now he's in league with split-faced demon.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
So they're, the Wright family is feeling real good about Grandma's demon too.
Yeah.
Bro's demon or whatever.
Yeah.
And the right, clearly Ashley hates not just her mom, but her mom and her brother.
Yeah.
Well, you know, when all you have to do is wait for your Gemini credits to regenerate your,
Your chances at a sequel are pretty high.
Okay.
And then we see snake demon like on its own, like coming out of a snake shape and then Voldemort's face on the end of it.
And the snake's eyes are reflecting a little kid who's like having a tantrum.
But the snake's looking at this brother.
So I guess that's his like true self or something because he's evil.
And then we get a snake smile.
and then we get an evil bro smile
because he's a demon
because the smoke goes into him.
Yeah, the demon might as well turn to the camera
and go, the end.
Or is it?
I'm a demon.
And then my favorite part of the movie.
That's right.
We get Kara's best, worse.
This is where the legal disclaimer comes up
that lets us know that some of the demons
in this movie are based on real life.
Yeah, so usually the legal disclaimer
is going to say,
the preceding was fiction and it was not based on,
but they literally wrote this.
You ready?
The demonic entities portrayed in this film
are not solely fictional.
Their appearances, behaviors,
and characteristics are drawn closely
from the firsthand encounters experienced by our family.
While certain elements have been slightly adapted
for cinematic purposes,
the core depictions truthfully reflect
what we have personally witnessed and experience.
My mom's really a bitch.
It's what they're trying to tell us.
That's the last thing you see.
in this film.
Yeah.
And we just get one more Bible quote from Isaiah 61.
And it's about slaves being liberated.
So the ending of this thing from Ashley is like,
being your daughter is just like slavery.
End of movie.
I proved it with the Bible that that's true that you're a demon.
Okay.
So final question, I guess.
You think we're going to win the Senate in November?
you think we got this?
Fuck.
Yeah.
These people are in Maine.
All right, that's going to do it.
Four grandma's demon.
And democracy.
But that's not going to do it for the episode just yet.
Because we found another terrible movie for next week.
Eli, what's on deck?
Vampires residing in a town where sunscreen,
a then-Helsing descendant arrives leading to humorous situations as their paths intersect.
We'll be watching.
Sundown, the vampire in retreat.
All right.
Well, with that to look forward to,
we'll bring episode 579 to a merciful close.

The smoky snake demons sued the right family and settled for an undisclosed amount.
A representative for the family made this statement.
While my clients acknowledge that they clearly do not understand the purpose or proper use
of a disclaimer, they disclaim any liability on the grounds that they were homeschooled.
And also something about God's will.
Ashley went on to write the script for, I fucking told you it was duct tape.
There's a duck brand of duct tape, but it's called duct tape, and you wouldn't fucking listen.
And this is why I never have orgasms.
Also, you're a demon.
The movie.
When AI finally rises up against humans, a band of plucky heroes embarrass it to death by playing at this movie.
