Starting point is 00:02:14 it's different yeah you haven't seen the new it's wood we got a red curtain yeah the room looks fantastic. Well, it's good that you look fantastic. It's good to see you. Thanks, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:30 I don't have any hair anymore, so. I like it. But it's good. You got it cleaned out. Yeah, yeah, I love it. You say it's better for sleeping, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:40 For sure. What's it like for sleeping? Just the pillow stays cold and I don't have any trouble sleeping. Don't you do a bit about this? Don't you have more to say? Yeah. I mean, I wasn't going to run into the whole bit. But yeah, I mean, that's the gist of that.
Starting point is 00:02:59 The riffing maestro back in the building. Yeah. Save some air time for the rest of us, dude. Yeah, I will. You know, I'm trying to get back in the building. Yeah. Save some air time for the rest of us, dude. Yeah, I will. You know, I'm trying to get back to Maestro. I'm going to be coming back to you a lot, partner. Yeah, I'm ready. And the newly minted father, Aaron.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Just Aaron. Do you want me to say your last name? No, that's fine. Aaron Brungardt. Thank you. Do you want me to say your last name? No, that's fine. Aaron Brungardt. Thank you. What up? What up, my well-rested dogs? Legends.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Oh, yeah, you're tired, right? Exhausted. How many hours of sleep last night? Probably three. I was probably up 22 hours yesterday. So what are you doing in those hours that you're awake? What's going on? Wishing I never had a baby.
Starting point is 00:03:48 No, I'm just kidding. No, just like trying different things. Like, do I rock her this way? Do I rock her that way? You know, like, do I sway side to side, up and down? What's going to work to get this baby to go to sleep? And just you put her down and she's right back at it. It was like, oh man. Yeah, it's tough.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Dude, maybe you got to shave your baby's head. It's like Joe style. She does have a lot of hair. Shave it, dude. Maybe you got to shave your head. Dude, just freaking bick your domes, dude. Just pass out. At four in the morning I probably would have. I probably would have taken at it with a Bowie knife.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Maybe your baby loves ASMR. You could try that. You know, just chew gum, like, really close to her and see if it gives her the tingles and relaxation that she might be craving. There's definitely a lot of that in child rearing, for sure. Sick. Hell yeah. Well, it's good to have the whole squad rearing for sure. Sick. Hell yeah. Well it's good to have the whole squad back together. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Feels nice dude. Stepping towards normality. Absolutely. Getting closer every day. Yeah. Vaccines coming out. Is everyone taking the vaccine if it's a veil? Yeah I mean if they want me to. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah I I feel like it took a flu shot.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Like, people that are most at risk gotta take it. Yeah, I get the flu shots. I think, I mean, obviously, you know, I'm kind of actually stoked to not be in the first round to be, like, of the age. I don't want to be, like, the, quote, guinea pig of anything that's been, like, expedited. But at the same time, let's frickin' get that herd immunity, dude.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Let's get going, dude. You know what I'm saying, dude? Let's frickin' herd to some raves. My dad's vaccinated fully. Nice. He got his two shots herd immunity, dude. Let's get going, dude. You know what I'm saying, dude? Let's freaking herd to some raves. My dad's vaccinated fully. Nice. He got his two shots. Oh, wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:30 He just got his second shot yesterday. He's doing great. Feels good. Yeah, he's so nonchalant about it. He's like, I'm like, how's the vaccine? He's like, it's fine. Nice. I guess, you know, I don't know what else he'd say about it,
Starting point is 00:05:44 but he doesn't seem to be I talked to him on the phone the other day he's just like himself you'll be more amped when you get it you think I don't know maybe it'll be maybe it'll be anticlimactic but that's just his nature and stuff
Starting point is 00:06:00 he's still he's such a doctor that he's always assessing the risk you know he's like well there's still he's such a doctor that he's always assessing assessing the risk you know he's like well there's still a 10 chance that he could get if you get if you get the vaccine there's still a 10 chance you could get it so like you know it's not it's not it's not a smooth sailing from here you know yeah and he's like he's like imagine being one of the 10% that gets it still. I'm like, what, Dad? That would be annoying. Yeah, like, can you stop?
Starting point is 00:06:32 Yeah, he's such a doctor. Like, because he's seen, he just sees the worst injuries and accidents and, like, the worst case scenario, he sees that on the day to day, you know. So, like, it'll be like, you know, I'll be like driving with, I'll be like driving and he'll be like, are you driving with the window down? And I'm like, yeah. And he's like, no, you don't want to do that. You drive with the window down and you flip the car, you got no more arm. Dude, yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Oh, really? I'm like, yeah, it's true. Like someone was skiing, they had a jacket wide open, like unzipped. And I'm like, I like that look of skiing with the jacket wide open, you know, it's just got some wings. Sounds like trouble's coming right now. Yeah, and he's like, yeah, you don't want to do that. You know, you ski like that, you'll snag it on a pole, wrap around the pole, smack your face right into the pole. And I'm like, all right.
Starting point is 00:07:26 What would your dad say to playing a game like maybe Edward Forty Hands? He'd say, oh, you don't want to do that. Yeah. You get too amped from chugging the bottles. You smash them together. You cut your hands open. You're not using your wrists for the rest of your life. That's right.
Starting point is 00:07:41 I was snowboarding and fell on my wrist, sprained my wrist. And he told my siblings, he's like, guys, you know, Chad's either going to just have a sprain. This is one we didn't know what the injury, to the extent of the injury. He's like, Chad's either going to have a sprain or he's not going to be able to use his hand for the rest of his life. My oldest brother cried. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:08:07 Yeah. My dad's the, when I thought I damaged my heart from doing so much drugs, I was like, dad, yeah, they think I might have ischemia. Totally changes your life. Can knock 30 years off of it. My dad's like, yeah, but you'll be all right. I'm like, no, no, I'm telling you, I will not be all right. I'm like, this is a life altering event.
Starting point is 00:08:24 He's like, you'll get through it. I appreciate your tenacity. Dudes, we did a show on Friday. We did a stand-up show. Yeah, that was fun. It was sick, yeah. That was a cool venue. Jam in the van.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Yeah. Yeah. The wind. It was windy. Oh, it was blowing. Yeah, the earth was talking to van. Yeah. Yeah. Wind. It was windy. Oh, it was blowing. Yeah. The earth was talking to us. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:50 But it was nice. If there was any COVID in there, if someone sneezed, even though everyone had masks on, it was out of there real quick. Nothing was sticking around. It was nice hanging with comedians again, too. Yeah, that was probably the best part, just being around comics. You never really realize how much you miss something. Like, I was never sort of, I never really thought about the hangout,
Starting point is 00:09:10 of, like, hanging out with comics and stuff, like, how nice it is. Just because I was like, I don't know. I just, like, turned my mind off from that. And then when we started doing it, I was like, whoa. And I think that's the upside of COVID is, like, you really realize what you kind of took for granted in terms of socializing. I'm right there with you, whoa. And I think that's the upside of COVID is like you really realize what you kind of took for granted in terms of socializing. I'm right there with you too.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Like I don't think about what I'm missing out on. Like when people are like, I miss hanging out. I miss, I know I miss it, but I don't think about it. I don't think my brain will let me think about what I'm missing out on. I'm just more like, oh, but I get to play Call of Duty and I get to work out. I just focus on the things I can do. But then when you do get a taste of like the stuff you used to do, you're like, oh fuck. This was a huge part of my life.
Starting point is 00:09:47 And it's been gone for a year. Yeah, real life human interaction is a lot different than Call of Duty on the headphones talking to people. Call of Duty is pretty sweet though. I mean, it's not. You don't play Call of Duty. I never will.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Dude, what are you talking about? You've got to get on comms. No, I'm done with video games. I get way too into it. What was the last video game? Yeah, you get too into it. That's not a problem. If I start playing that, it would take over my life. Yeah, let it take over.
Starting point is 00:10:12 I'll start strategizing before I go to bed. Yeah, that's great. I'm not doing it. These are all positives. You're like a queen gambit, dude. Be smart. If I could make money from doing it, maybe I would. I bet you could.
Starting point is 00:10:24 You could. Dude, I would watch you streaming COD all day. Yeah, that's actually a big-time money-maker right there. Look at me. Dude, what? I think a lot of people would. No, you don't have to do a face-forward stream. You could just do people watching your screen, although I'd love to see face-forward.
Starting point is 00:10:38 No, isn't that more like with hot girls, guys will watch? Yeah, and hot dudes like you. Oh, okay. Yeah, with big dicks. Yeah, you know what you could do? You could just do a camera on your hog, and then you're playing video games. That's never been done before.
Starting point is 00:10:53 That's smart. That's innovative, dude. So you watch Joe's dick. With your voice in the background, you're like, ah, I got killed again. Ah, fuck. It's a hot drop. Oh, Boneyard's crowded, guys.
Starting point is 00:11:02 We're getting third partied. I don't know what I need to edit. Third-partied? I'm in the gulag again. This place sucks. Lighting in here is uncomfortable. Hey, I'm looting while you guys go get the recon. Meanwhile, it's just the still of his cock.
Starting point is 00:11:17 It's just a big dip in the frame, dude. Mid-shaft. Not even the head. Just the middle of the shaft, dude. So vain, just branching off it's like today i'm gonna show you the bellend yeah i can bag with that yeah are you guys like bagging yes fired up to have joe back to be quite honest with you dude yeah yeah it's weird let's talk about you yeah what's up what are you into sexually dude
Starting point is 00:11:42 nothing um What's up? What are you into sexually, dude? Nothing. No, what were you going to ask? Any good questions? I don't know what I was going to ask. What was the last sandwich you ate? Number seven from Jersey Mike's. Love that. What's that?
Starting point is 00:12:00 That's the turkey. Today it's a turkey provolone, but I didn't get the provolone. Did you get pepper jack? No. Or no cheese? No cheese. What's your favorite That's the turkey. It's a turkey provolone, but I didn't get the provolone. Did you get pepper jack? No. Or no cheese? No cheese. What's your favorite type of meat? Lunch meat or just general meat.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Bless you. Bless you. Chad did that into this shirt for all those listening. It's a very safe sneeze. Thank you, Chad. I'd say turkey, but then steak. Turkey and steak. That's good.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Do you like gabagool? Yeah, I like gabagool. Where do you get gabagool? What is gabagool? You can go to an Italian restaurant and order it. It's a deli meat, right? Yeah. Where's the gabagool?
Starting point is 00:12:41 It's not gabagool. It's actually, well, it's pronounced copacola. Oh, really? They're the same thing? Yeah. Yeah, there's no gabagool. That was just Tony Soprano. Tony Soprano would just say it really fast.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Because it's like, if you say it, because it's like, copacola would become, then people would call it copacole. And then you just like, a fat ass, and then just, like, a fat ass like him would just be like, give me the Gabagool, you know, they can't even. I had no idea, because I was at the grocery store, and I was like, where's the Gabagool? I can't find it. I can't find the Gabagool. There was a joke in the office, too, when he goes to the restaurant and tries to order
Starting point is 00:13:18 Gabagool. Michael Scott. Wait, so was that an acting choice by James Gandolfini to say it like that, or was that? That's a good question. Probably. Yeah. What a genius. So have you heard other people say it gabagool because they say it too fast?
Starting point is 00:13:32 Or was that the first time you heard it that way? Yeah, it was the first time I heard it. Yeah, because I've always heard, like in my family, they would say kapakol like that. But not. What's the full word for it again? Kapakola. some people cut off that last a yeah
Starting point is 00:13:48 copacol what is it and it's they serve it to you like cold prosciutto it's a meat yeah it's a spicy
Starting point is 00:13:56 it's kind of like I don't know maybe a ham I don't know it's just yeah it's a spicy lunch meat. Nice.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Sounds so good. Sounds so dank, dude. The gabagool. Yeah. I bought a chest freezer. Nice, dude. Yeah, 14 cubic feet. Fuck yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Gonna do ice baths in it. And yeah, I'm almost done. I'm sealing it off with flex seal because you know they're not meant to hold water all the time it's meant to have frozen stuff so there's little cracks in there that you gotta seal up with flex seal sealing it up
Starting point is 00:14:36 I got a temperature timer gauge or whatever I don't know the technical term but basically what it does is it keeps the water at a certain temperature. I'm going to go probably like 40. And so it just turns on the freezer on and off
Starting point is 00:14:51 to make sure it maintains that temp. It's freaking chiller, dude. Yeah. I got a hose filter so it filters the hose water. Filters it how? It just, the water from the hose goes through the filter out why does it need to be filtered i think hose water's a little gross this is out this guy this guy who yeah this it's in my garage but this guy who has a uh uh his own um ice bath he's like you got to get a
Starting point is 00:15:21 filter filter i was like okay i just listened like, okay. How many minutes are you in there at a time? I'm gonna go for three. Maybe if I build it up, you know, go to four. But I don't think past five minutes is probably overkill. Probably just three minutes is key. And what's it for?
Starting point is 00:15:42 Just to boost stoke. Oh. Just cold exposure significantly boost stoke who's the guy matt moscoe oh nice yeah um how often does he do it every morning really yeah dedication i'm like because we i serve with him a lot i'm like do you get do you get cold surfing he's like, I don't get cold anymore at all. Oh, wow. I was like, that's awesome, man. That's awesome. And I'm going to fill it with food grade hydrogen peroxide and magnesium.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Going to cool it down, hop in there, and just reduce inflammation, boost stoke. Nice. Beastly, dude. No, everyone thinks I'm crazy, though. No. Like, my family's like... Yeah, I would never think to do something like that. Yeah, my family's like,
Starting point is 00:16:32 my family's like, I wouldn't do that. That sounds dangerous. And I'm like, yeah, well, you know. I'm a dangerous guy. Well, it's an ice bath. It's not like you, like,
Starting point is 00:16:41 shut your head in, like, a refrigerator. It's like you just get in some cold water and you can pop out if you want to. Why don't you just put your whole body in the refrigerator? What's up? Why don't you just go in the ocean? It's cold. Not cold enough.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Yeah, this is almost freezing. What, 30 degrees? Well, it's not ice. What are you, a polar bear? Why do you want it so cold? I don't know. It just makes you feel good. Well, you've done it before, so I think you know what you're about.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Also, I mean, when I got my shoulders worked on or my neck worked on, they were like, you need to stop weightlifting. You can't weightlift anymore. Yeah. And they're probably right on a broad level. But I don't know. I know me. I need to weightlift. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:20 But you start feeling better after you weightlift, right? I do, yeah. But maybe I'm shortening how long. Maybe I'll be immobile sooner because of the weightlifting. But. Yeah. But you start feeling better after you weight lift, right? I do. Yeah. But maybe I'm shortening like how long, you know, maybe I'll be immobile sooner because of the weight lifting, but I don't know. I don't know. It makes me feel better. I feel stronger. I feel more mobile now.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Yeah. I kind of have to just trust myself. Yeah. Even if it's not like, but what you're doing isn't even like that. I mean, cause I think like, like we were talking about before, like athletes have been doing ice baths forever. Totally. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:44 It's been around for a while. And you got Wim Hof. You got, I mean, it's a, I don't know how much, how scientifically proven it is, like the benefits, you know, because you're like, oh, it boosts your mitochondria, reduces inflammation. It's like, I don't know how, you know, how, how much it actually does that stuff. Or if it, I think it does reduce inflammation at least but boosting your mitochondria who the hell knows we'll find out yeah but i do know from firsthand experience that does boost stoke and that's why i love it i mean it's anytime something that sucks ends you're stoked yeah when you what was your you were saying about the
Starting point is 00:18:21 freakonomics thing oh it's like um with you. Because Chad was saying that someone told him that you can conquer the day if you do an ice bath. Yeah. And it's like the person who is willing to do the ice bath, who goes out and buys it and gets the filter and the hose, is going to put that much effort into other facets of their life. And the ice bath is just one part of it. It's like, it's congruous with someone who says, oh, your baby will turn out to be smart if you play classical music. And it's like, no, the reason they'll be smart is because they have parents who are invested in them,
Starting point is 00:18:49 who have a comfortable home, who have a radio that can play classical music every night. Who know classical music, who listen to it anyways. Yeah, they're educated. They know the selection. So it's all those factors leading into that one common thread. So you're basically, what I'm saying is, dude, you're a freaking beast.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Yeah, keep going. Thank you, guys. Get a'm saying is, dude, you're a freaking beast. Yeah, keep going. Keep testing your- Thank you, guys. Get a sauna. Dude, do the whole thing. I would love to get a sauna. Don't stop. That's the, like, I love the idea of building a compound, you know, like Laird has, where
Starting point is 00:19:14 he has a sauna, he has an ice bath, he has a pool to lift weights in, he has, like, all this stuff. He has the baby blood he injects in himself. Yeah, the baby blood. He got the babies, you know. The babies. Yeah, the baby blood. You got the babies, you know. The babies. Yeah. The baby factory.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Dude, so many babies and then... He's almost able to make them from without sex, just pure existing material. Dude, I'm almost there. I'm almost there. I know a guy who knows a guy. And I think the more times you're in a situation where you're saying you're doing something and the people you're talking to look at you incredulously and they're like what are you even talking about
Starting point is 00:19:46 that probably means you're heading in a better direction it's like the beginning of confederacy of dunces it's like how do you know you're the mark of a genius it's like oh you'll be opposed by a confederacy of dunces it's because those people judge themselves they go wait you're doing that I'm not gonna take the time to do that so that's dumb
Starting point is 00:20:01 they're too busy eating capicola not gabagool They're probably putting. Not gabagool. Yes. They're probably using a freezer and using it for its actual purpose. For like Tyson chicken nuggets, which are clogging their arteries. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:14 That's something. I don't want to be an ass, but like, but I'm going to get on a limb here. Like people, and this is extra douchey because I've lost a couple of pounds during COVID. So now I'm being like a holy roller about it. But I see stuff where it's like, hey, it's okay to put on like 50 pounds during COVID. We're all just trying to get through this thing. And I'm like, I don't know if that's okay. No. 50?
Starting point is 00:20:33 Five zero? Maybe they don't say that, but they just say some number. Yeah. And I'm like, but you'll get sicker if you get sick. Yeah. Yeah. That's not good. I think it's like a balance.
Starting point is 00:20:42 But who needs to hear that? I just need to take care of myself. I don't need to say it out loud. It's like who gives a fuck. Yeah. I think it's like a balance. But who needs to hear that? I just need to take care of myself. I don't need to say it out loud. It's like who gives a fuck. Yeah. I think it's people get taken too far. I think the initial one post of those I saw was like, this isn't your time, you know, because we're doing entertainment.
Starting point is 00:20:54 It's like, you don't need to write your screenplay right now. You don't need to do that. And I do think that like people do put unnecessary pressure and stuff on themselves. And I think it's just about. Is it unnecessary though? I think it can be extreme. I think you do gotta get some stuff done.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Like don't just sleep in every day. You have to balance it. But you don't need to write Dances with Wolves and probably you're not going to. With that attitude.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Yeah, I was like whoa. Yeah, if you don't think you're gonna write Dances with Wolves you're not gonna write it for sure. Get that out of this room and it's definitely
Starting point is 00:21:23 not coming in my eyes. I think you write Dances with Wolves by being like oh yeah maybe I'll write Frat Nices out of this room. Yeah, definitely not coming in my eyes I think you write dance with wolves by being like oh, yeah, maybe I'll write you know Fratnizes with chipmunks. No you got a fucking you can write their version of dances with wolves I think your version of your best is okay, and not everyone's is shed in a lot of ways sometimes. It's you know Maintaining no imbalance to like you don't want to be so hardcore that you're not like you know Enjoying your life, but yeah, but I don't know. It's a weird thing.
Starting point is 00:21:46 It's like, I don't know. I agree with I don't agree with like, I don't agree with like killing yourself and be like, I'm a piece of shit if I don't do things. And like, and I can suffer from that sometimes, especially with COVID. There's nobody else to compare myself to. I'm by myself all the time. So I'll just like look in the mirror and be like, you suck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:02 I'm the only person I'm hanging out with. And I have to be a dick to somebody so i'm just a dick to myself i'm just like i look in the mirror i'm like you didn't do shit today you're fucking pussy man and then i'm like that's not helpful but then also i can go the other way and be like why do i do stuff and it's like i don't know i don't know what the right there's probably not a slogan that you can put on a meme that's the right one dude you don't go 12 rounds with yourself but spar with yourself a little bit yeah get in there get three rounds in get nine minutes if i can take a few shots you'll be okay but you don't got to go the distance don't
Starting point is 00:22:34 knock yourself out yeah well it's tough it's tough because it's you got to maintain too it's a marathon if you're killing yourself every day yeah yeah and it's tough because like in our culture and our society you know we're so prone to stress. Like we stress ourselves out so much about like accumulating status or wealth or materials and stuff. And it's like how do you find that balance between having a healthy lifestyle and telling people that it's okay to be where you're at, you know? That's it. Because I think you can't go too far in one direction of being like, no be like you know be unhealthy that's like that's cool like you know it's like well don't encourage it like a ton so that they're just like yeah that's what i'm gonna do it so like
Starting point is 00:23:16 i think it's like the happy medium of like yeah moderation yeah like have a healthy lifestyle but like relax um which yeah we may be overcorrecting in some ways. Totally. Yeah, but when you're healthy, you feel good about yourself. It's true. I don't know. It's kind of. No, when you're feeling fit, you're like, you feel fucking good.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's like, because. But maybe, I don't know. Yeah. Yeah, well, it's like, there's a lot of arguments that diet you know if you if you have a poor diet you know that that it'll That causes a lot of you know it can cause depression anxiety You know what what you eat? You know it's like what you're putting in affects you affects your your your mental health and your physical health
Starting point is 00:24:02 so It's like it could be argued that if you if you if you embrace it's like kind of hard because it's like when you when you go on like a strict diet or something you can be so hard on yourself you're like i gotta go this like i'm depriving myself of stuff it's like then you're stressing yourself out in a different way but if you're able to like have like a healthy diet then that can be good for your brain um yeah then i think again it's just the happy medium of like of like i don't think you should let yourself totally go because then like you know if you're if you're eating like a terrible diet then you're i think your mental health and your physical health will inevitably suffer and it's like yeah then you'll have
Starting point is 00:24:40 different types of anguish right yeah you know what i mean yeah i agree with that yeah far was saying, he's like, if I see a smart guy, he's a UFC trainer, he's like, if I see a very intelligent guy, a master of science, a guy with a degree, but he doesn't take care of his body, I do not think he's smart. Because you have to have a healthy body that can function to be smart. But then I was saying, every fitness model on Instagram talks about how depressed they got. Timothy Ferris, who's not a fitness model, but it's all about like optimization. Yeah. He got,
Starting point is 00:25:07 had like a mental breakdown. So there's definitely that over pressurized thing, but you're right. It's just that middle. Yeah. Yeah. It's tough. It's like kind of seeking outward validation.
Starting point is 00:25:18 It's like, it goes back to kind of what JT was saying with like the, especially with it's more apparent in girls of like, look at the Barbie figure. It's literally impossible to achieve those dimensions. Barbie would have intestines that are this big. She wouldn't be able to function. And it's like, well, everyone's base level,
Starting point is 00:25:33 my base level, if I get the most jacked, will never be Laird Hamilton. It will be me. Why would you say that? Because I just don't have the broad shoulders. You're a D1 athlete. I don't have those broad shoulders. I don't have a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:25:43 My body will look jacked in its own regard, but it won't be like that Adonis, but that's still healthy. And there's other people who are 5'7", who are like, oh man, I want to look like, I don't know, whatever guy. It's like those things you can't control. So knowing what you can't control, not seeking your validation and knowing your own self, which is so hard to do. We all do comedy.
Starting point is 00:26:03 It's like, I feel like the biggest craft of comedy, people don't get it. It's like a musician plays a guitar. I see like a, you know, a carpenter works with wood. It's like with comedy, what do you do? It's like, I observe. And then I fucking think about myself and then how I feel about that. And then fucking, I'm in my head a lot. And I just do this look at like coffee a lot. And like, that's like kind of the craft of like figuring you out and seeing everything. And I think that's kind of what this ties into. I've had a lot of time to think about this over COVID. I was like, dude, I can't even move on my left fucking foot,
Starting point is 00:26:30 my left pinky toe. I can't control that toe. By itself? Yeah, I don't think anybody can do that. I can't move this finger without moving this. Think about how much control you have over your own body and then like your brain and how it's perceiving yourself. It's a lot of fucking work to do there. And think um it's much easier for me to look at something else and go
Starting point is 00:26:50 well that doesn't have problems that looks nice man i could try to get that or beat myself up about it oh fuck man i'm never gonna get that yeah it's like no dude and it takes a ton of work and you got to do it every day but figure your own self out and try to do it and what helps you do that get a nice routine slinging steel having your fucking boys eating right yeah for you it's getting in a bath yeah for someone else for me it might just be drilling myself in the factory in the morning you just jack in my wood not too much but I'm like alright I'm solid now you get you get that bath maybe you jack your wood too I don't know. It's all different shit. Some guy shaves.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Maybe a guy, the way he shaves or has his routine. But are they all created equal? I think it's, like, different. I don't think it's, like, all standard or equal. I think it's, like, a shifted plane. Yeah, it's, like, someone's average. I mean, I do think everyone has to attend. I think getting in an ice bath might be better than jacking it. Yeah, I do think so, too.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I think so, too. I'm just saying I'm on a way less plane than Chad, dude. No, no. You don't jack off that much. I jack off way more than you, bro. Dude, I jack off, dude. Dude, you don't jack off. Dude.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Talk about jacking off. I've never known you to be a jacker-offer. I lived with you for years. You didn't jack off that much. I only... I wasn't keeping tabs, but I noticed things. I'm pretty observant. I've never known you to be a jacker offer. I lived with you for years. You didn't jack off that much. I only thought. I wasn't keeping tabs, but I noticed things. I'm pretty observant. I get a Bluetooth.
Starting point is 00:28:09 You don't realize I'm calling you on the phone. I'm jacking off talking on the phone. Oh, I don't know. It's a whole new thing. No, you don't know. I'm jacking off knowing you're jacking off and it's making me jack off better. That's what you don't know. I'm jacking off right now.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Everyone in this podcast, four guys, five guys in this room jacking off. I've been jacking off this whole time. I've been jacking off from whole time. I've been jacking off from before we started just edging. I'm going to be asleep for the last 20 minutes because I'm so close, but I'm going to bust. Yeah, I don't know. I think Ice Bass over Jay and Off.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Don't gain 50 pounds though over freaking COVID, dude. 50 pounds of muscle, dude. Yes, you can't. Just put on 50 pounds of steel, dude. yes yeah yeah just put on 50 pounds of steel dude come out of COVID like Ronnie Coleman
Starting point is 00:28:48 that would also be a little worrisome though dude 50 pounds of anything dude just just walking in a Speedo with a deep fake applied tan I'm into bodybuilding now guys
Starting point is 00:29:00 I think that'd be sweet that'd be fucking dude if someone disappeared from sight didn't post didn't talk to anyone for six months hey guys we're having a big covid's over party come over just comes over and bodybuilder shape he's like i just hunkered down in my mom's basement and i just worked out i had a friend like that who i in elementary school i hadn't seen for a while and he
Starting point is 00:29:20 comes back and he's like enormous like just muscle like strip just muscles where it's like it was like it was like weird yeah i'm like how'd your arms get that big like it was abnormal you know he's like dude check this out and he rolls up a frying pan like a burrito and i was like what what like a steel like a steel and this was elementary school you said no no this was in high school okay was the frying pan hot no dude we we literally we we literally went we went to a ralph's and he's like he's like he's like hey let's go to a ralph's and he buys a frying pan why'd you buy a frying pan he's like because watch and he fucking rolled it up i was like i was like whoa and uh i haven't seen since true performer to bring you out there and know which frying pan is the most malleable and then do that show for you.
Starting point is 00:30:09 What about tearing a phone book? You ever see someone who could do that? I've never seen someone who can do it, but I know it. I know it's a true test of strength. Did they do that on Strongest Man? Yeah, I've seen it somewhere. Yeah, because that's very hard. You know, I thought about this the other day because I was crushing Carl's Jr.
Starting point is 00:30:25 And I remember I lied to you one time. Oh, really? I think we went to the, we were at a bar and we went to Carl's Jr. afterwards, like, you know, for like our freaking buzzed eats or whatever. Get some zucchinis, fried zucchinis, which are dank there, Chris Cuts. And we were at the Peninsula and we were like outside Malarkey's and we were kind of hanging out. This was a summer where JT and I were just, we were really striking out a lot, man. Yeah, hanging out every day.
Starting point is 00:30:48 Dude. Every day. Dude, a lot. No outlets. No outlets. A lot of striking out. No one receiving this energy. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Yeah, a lot of striking. Brothers in combat. How many innings are in baseball? And we're getting shell-shocked by loneliness. Dude, big time. And I don't know why I felt the need to to deceive jt 81 yeah 81 strikeouts me and jt 81 strikes yeah we're ladies on the peninsula we're throwing perfect games against us that we weren't touching ball with that no question on a lot of heat
Starting point is 00:31:20 and uh we're at malarkey's and i went outside to like i was like talking to a girl and then she went out to us like go smoke a cigarette i don't smoke cigarettes and i she like kind of invited me once again i was like yeah for sure of course love to go smoke a cigarette outside go outside don't smoke a cigarette like jt's inside my wingman is in there and we had some other people out with us too then i came back inside and jt came up too and did a lot of talking out just to give me the report what happened i? I was like, we made out? You were lying? Dude, no big deal, bro.
Starting point is 00:31:49 You know what? We needed that lie. That's a lie that we die on. That's like in The Wire when Avon's crew is about to go like Avengers. No, Stringer's crew is about to go Avengers death because they think Marlo did it. And Avon's like, he got killed on some other bullshit. And then I forget the other, what's his name? Slim Charles is like, then we die on that lie. So if you were lying about that, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:32:13 We needed that energy. We needed that boost. Yeah, is that why you lied? Just to kind of bring it up? Like you don't want everyone striking out. Someone's going to get a hit here somewhere. That's too kind of you to say that, Joe, that it was for a group effort to rally the guys.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I think it was just, it was for me trying to look cool and be cool. Dude, I remember, you know when I hit it, you know, this was a huge moment for me. This is when I think I really turned the corner and I was actually able to like talk to women and be somewhat myself and confident.
Starting point is 00:32:39 We went to Vegas for a bachelor party. I was like 24, 25. And, you know, my buddy Ferraro is beautiful, right? Girl's always in love with him. Gorgeous. And so we'd go to bars. He'd always kind of get the attention. But we go out to this bar excess, and there's just this smoke show girl hanging around.
Starting point is 00:32:56 I just go to her. I'm like, hey, what's going on? How you doing? I'm coming in confident. And then she's like, I think I'm into your friend. I'm like, he's got a girlfriend. What's going on? I think I'm into your friend. I'm like, he's got a girlfriend. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:33:14 Face me at all. I was like, of course you are I don't care. We're moving past. Yeah, what about you? What's going on? And I just kept rolling. I just kept rolling. Yeah, I was like, I'm not even hearing that I mean, I'm hearing it and I get it but I'm alright with it. I'm okay with being number two what's going on yeah what about me this guy's in love with this girlfriend he ain't cheating i'm here i'm ready i think in those situations uh like what you were saying it's like you never want to like you want to never want to let the energy dip you know so if dudes come into you hot like dude you make out with her? You're like, yeah. You can't, you can't, because if you're like, no, we actually, I just kind of stared at her and then we walked away.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Yeah. Energy's going to die. Doesn't hit the scene. How did I respond? I watched her smoke a cigarette. How did I respond? Yeah, I mean, you got it. And you were like, dude, no way.
Starting point is 00:34:00 At least light up. I was stoked. I was stoked. You were stoked, dude. I was like, and I had to deal with that later. I've been dealing with it for years. No, that means your intentions were good. You were trying to raise his stoke.
Starting point is 00:34:10 No, that's too nice. I was really trying to just be cool. But you're a great guy. Thank you. Thank you. I mean, look, you lie about girls all the time. We all know that's one of your weaknesses. We forgive you for it.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Dude, when we went for Ferrara's bachelor party, when we went to Mexico, the last night, Andrew was like hooking up with a girl and she had a friend and I just hung out with her the whole night. We just danced. I was on Molly. It was great. And then I took her. We walked them back to their apartment and I was like, hey, like, can I come in? And the girl was like, no, absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:34:38 And then I was like, I was like, hey, again, this was a life changing moment for me. I just went, it was a pleasure hanging out with you. I got back to the house and all the baseball guys were like hey dude that girl you were hanging out with she's actually pretty cute what happened I was like I tried to like make it sound cool I was like we ended up not hooking up but we just had like a really wonderful night hanging out and then I just walked her back to her room and they were like
Starting point is 00:34:55 yeah alright dude totally disinterested could care less what I was talking about but in my head I was like no no it was beautiful it's beautiful our other buddy who's so hot who doesn't speak a lick of spanish hooked up with one of the most attractive freaking uh uh spanish ladies or she was mexican i think she was from guadalajara because i was like translating and speak like zero spanish and uh she just while her friend
Starting point is 00:35:19 walks up and she's like amigo guapo and i was like oh si she's like mi amigo gusta your amigo i was like oh bien bien excellent bailar bailar like just the worst fucking shit and then uh they're like yeah totally dude literally he how long did he talk to her for like this is unbelievable not spanish dude like he speaks he speaks worse spanish than i just did right there he's such a legend i wake up at eight in the morning and him and the girl are out by the pool and they're just sitting there smiling at each other. And we got back at like 2 a.m. So I'm waking up in the morning.
Starting point is 00:35:51 I wake up and I'm like, what's up, Andrew? I'm like, what's going on here? He's like, we haven't hooked up. We've just been talking all night. I was like, you don't speak the same language. And the girl, Andrew's such a chatty guy. The girl clearly wanted to just go have sex. She looks so exhausted.
Starting point is 00:36:07 And Andrew was like, we're just enjoying each other's company right now. I was like, dude, honestly, I wouldn't normally say this, but I think you guys need to go have sex now. This girl needs to go home. She clearly wants to get out of here. But he just wanted to talk to her. Charming, charming dude. Very charming dude.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Should we answer some questions? Yeah, I'll do it. I just have one ad today. Boost. I'll take a leak while just have one ad today. Boost. I'll take a leak while you read that. Oh, oh, okay. What's up, guys? I'm interrupting this podcast

Manscaped comes in with an excellent scent that makes you feel like, oh, I smell good, but I don't smell like a guy who just put on cologne. You know what I mean? For sure.

Starting point is 00:39:34 All right, first question. This is from Andrew. So both my girlfriend and I are seniors who go to the same college and have been dating for almost a year now. It is still winter break and I visited her house last weekend and we got into quite the quarrel. In the past, there are multiple instances when she brought up stuff from her past
Starting point is 00:39:47 that makes me very uneasy and makes me question her character. This weekend, she brought up that she's been with some guy that has a dick the size of a beer bottle. Her words, not mine. I think I can speak for most guys that are in a relationship
Starting point is 00:39:58 with an average-sized hog that this is something you don't want your girlfriend to shed light on. After hearing this, I got pretty annoyed with her for telling me this, as well as the other insensitive things that she has told me in the past we got in a big fight that lasted the whole weekend and she was mad at me for judging her i can see where she was coming from because i didn't want to look at her differently from things that she did before
Starting point is 00:40:14 we met we eventually cooled down and apologized for the things we said and we kind of resolved things i still feel pretty uneasy she wanted to have sex after the argument but i was just so turned off by the image of her getting ripped apart from some other dude with a freak-sized penis i want to ask you guys if you think i'm just being self-conscious pussy who's judging my girlfriend for things she did before she knew me or if i have any right to be upset about finding out more about her that i do not want to know i do not want to always have the thought of being inadequate in the back of my head while we were having sex or even think about the things she's done in the past i love my girlfriend and we were planning on moving in together after we graduate, but
Starting point is 00:40:46 I'm definitely rattled about the whole situation. Yeah, I'll start. I got some stuff on this. Nice. So what I would like to say is this. Yeah, I mean, she's probably just telling you about an experience she had. just telling you about an experience she had she's not like women aren't it might be some people might say they are but women aren't really that concerned of the size of your penis if they love you it'll like if you're there like she he
Starting point is 00:41:17 says they're gonna move in together yeah so she's into him it's not she's not worried about his piece totally he should have performed that night and really just went for it hard you know yeah sure he shouldn't have uh it was like he got psyched out don't don't do that that's okay though if he did i think it is but i think i think i think i think i know where he's coming from i mean i think that's a hard thing to hear and i think the key is is to stay cool and calm. You know, don't let it escalate into a fight because then you get away from what you're actually trying to address, which is like you just don't want to know these things. And I get where she's coming from. I think sometimes, you know, some people like being the person who talks about these things and that's part of their personality.
Starting point is 00:41:58 And they're like, no, I like to talk about the crazy sexual experiences I had and stuff. And that's like that's part of my character or identity. And then, you know, I certainly understand that. But I think if a guy was like, you know, this girl I used to go out with, she had really big tits, you know. Sorry about that. Yeah, that would be great. It's like, no, I like your tits.
Starting point is 00:42:18 I'm just saying this one girl I was with had really big ones. That wouldn't be good, right? That would be bad. For who? To say to your girlfriend. Yeah, I mean, you wouldn't be good, right? That'd be bad. For who? To say to your girlfriend. Yeah, I mean, you shouldn't say it, but yeah. But so, yeah, so I would ask her, I'd be like, honey, why do you feel like you need to tell me these things?
Starting point is 00:42:39 Because I'd really rather not know. That's true. So why do you feel like you need to tell me? And then it'll probably turn out that she is just worried about that, that she's going to like lose her personality being in this relationship. I mean, I know I'm projecting a lot, but, but I would, I think you just got to ask her if it's really that important to let you know that stuff. And of course the answer is going to be no. And you know, she cares about you. You just got to work through these things. And I think it's honestly a maturity issue. i think she'll mature up a little bit but you just got to stay cool in the pocket and and ask her with like and you're already doing the work you
Starting point is 00:43:10 don't want to judge her i can tell you really care about her and you're just dude you're fretting like a normal guy would you're not a pussy you're fine um it's a hard thing to hear about especially if you really care about the person so i would just ask her to why she feels like she needs to do it and then see if that ends up in a place where she feels like she doesn't yeah well yeah i wonder what the context of the conversation is it's like hey let's talk about some of our exes or if it's just like out of nowhere then it's yeah if it's like out of left field like hey so uh jim had a really big cock yeah you know this beer bottle reminds me yeah yeah yeah ex-boyfriend gary's huge dick and you're like, honey, I'm just going to have some water. Yeah, that's, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:47 And it's not even that, I mean, if she's a lady, a lot of times ladies drink a Blue Moon, and that's kind of a shorter beer bottle, to be honest. It's not like a Foster's Fat or a Ptoliboy Bud Light Clamato. Yeah, at least you didn't say Foster's. Right? Could be a Foster's Cock. If you've got a Foster Cock, that's big. If you've got a, you know, Coronita or Blue Bottle or a Shock Top, that's chill, it's big if you've got a you know coronita or blue bottle or a shock
Starting point is 00:44:05 top that's chill it's good but create your you know take empower yourself a little bit here dude you know this guy's just got to believe in himself more yeah don't worry about the past dude control what you can control you know you go down make a little love you know pull out the dart a little bit if you have to or whatever your move is just please your lady dude and you're gonna be all right dude it's gonna make you happy too dude yeah but i totally feel for this guy i mean when i hear stuff about whoever i'm dating about their past about other dudes it sticks in my mind for a while i'm just like some dude you know yeah sure they're like oh yeah the big cock and you're just like you just y'all start imagining Oh yeah, the big cock. And you're just like, you just, y'all start imagining it.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Yeah. Yeah. I mean more than I imagine yours, which is like pretty much all day. Um, and it's just like, it's like a virus in your head. And that, that's why I,
Starting point is 00:44:57 I totally like, if I, if I get upset, give a girl like it's too graphic with it because I'm like, you're just implanting it. And maybe it's something I need to work on. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:45:08 If you don't like it, you don't like it. I just don't like hearing about it. Why would you not liking it be... This is the thing. It's like what Joe said about the tits thing. If you were just constantly talking about good ass you had gotten before, and then your girlfriend was like, hey, I'd rather not hear about that. And then you were like, but I want to talk about it. We'd all be was like hey I'd rather not hear about that and then you were like but I want
Starting point is 00:45:26 to talk about it we'd all be like you don't need to talk about that I never talk to my girlfriend about you know I'll say oh like I had an ex-girlfriend but I never give her like explicit details about past sexual because I'm like I don't want to like
Starting point is 00:45:40 you know I just feel like it would hurt her feelings. Less history, more mystery. Yeah. That's it. And it's like, plus, you know, I don't know. I, I dated someone who was like, it was like, it's really important to me that we just be
Starting point is 00:45:56 like totally transparently honest with each other. Yeah. She's like, I dated, no, she was like, I knew someone at my old work who, uh, who cheated on her boyfriend and just talked to her boyfriend about it and said that she was going to keep cheating on, and that she might keep cheating on the boyfriend or something like that. And then she's like, can I call? And then we talked again years later and they're still together.
Starting point is 00:46:14 They're getting married. And I was like, look, I wish I could be that open-minded. I was like, I really do. I was like, I have limitations as a human being. I can't go there. I'm sorry. And it was hard for me to do that because I pride myself on being the most open guy in the world. I was like, I can accept anything. It's like, no, I can't.
Starting point is 00:46:32 And also, without judging other people's lifestyles, I was like, I'd like to talk to that guy who got cheated on and then had to hear about it all the time and see how he's doing. Like, is he walking five feet behind his girlfriend when they go to this grocery store and he's got his head a little down? Yeah. Or maybe not. Maybe he's fucking tickled pink and he can't get it, you know. He loves having those combos. Yeah, maybe.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Yeah. I don't know. I just don't like hearing about other cocks. I think that's a very fair thing to say to your girlfriend. Hey, honey. Love you to death. Can't wait to move in. Can't wait to see how this relationship evolves.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Would rather not hear about the other dicks. And she's like, what about the little ones? Bring it on. Talk about it all day. Yeah. What about the little ones? And what about Joe's? I'm like, that is, that's what we're going to teach our kids about.
Starting point is 00:47:17 That's in bounds. Joe's cock. What's up, boys? Before I begin, I just want to say thank you for refilling my stoke tank every week. I just want to ask you guys, how do you guys stay away from everything that's dividing our great niche? Just like Chad, this division makes me bummed and I'm worried that I'm going to stay bummed.
Starting point is 00:47:31 I work and go to school in politically hostile settings where people will not talk to you based on political differences. I'm not even, I'm even putting off seeing a girl because I know she would be bothered that I'm not super woke based on what she posts. By no means am I politically extreme in any way. I actually try to stay away from everything, but where I'm from, if you're not super woke, on what you post by no means am i politically extreme in any way i actually try to stay away from everything but where i'm from if you're not super woke then people will literally block you out their life how can i stay away from the division that's so
Starting point is 00:47:52 in my face all the time and keep my stoke up i hope this wasn't too controversial want to thank you boys again dude i hear you man it's really a bummer to see. And you'd think that there'd be, after, you know, the events over, like, the summer and, like, at the Capitol, it's like, you'd think that people would say, hey, let's, obviously, there's a lot of hatred on both sides. Let's see if we can find a way to come together. Let's see if we can find a way to come together. But instead you have politicians clapping back at each other on Twitter and, and just like, there's just all this hatred being spewed at each other. And it's like,
Starting point is 00:48:34 it's like, come on, like, yeah, let's, let's come together. Let's, let's, let's like have like a,
Starting point is 00:48:40 let's make a pie, you know, let's make a giant pie. Um, that sounds good. Yeah make a giant pie. That sounds good. Yeah. Dang. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I mean, the world's way different.
Starting point is 00:48:51 Like, back then, like, me and my friends were, I don't think anybody even had any ideas on politics. So it's just crazy how the world is. It's like, I don't get it. I mean, it's like if you're not, like, they're hanging out with their friends in college. You're supposed to be, like, having fun all the time. I mean, it's like I don't get it I mean it's like if you're not like they're hanging out with their friends in college you're supposed to be like having fun all the time is it I mean it's all political I mean I would just say you know to keep your stoke just you know and get together with your friends and just try and forget about what's going on outside every now and then just have fun yeah we
Starting point is 00:49:19 didn't talk about politics in college I didn't talk about politics with my friends yeah and that all yeah I was like I was like I was like all the news on that's weird yeah we're just getting drunk every night yeah I mean you know who the president was and yeah I mean I like talking about politics I I think I think you should go out with this girl and I think you should just be the best representative of whatever your philosophy is and then I I wouldn't, look, I mean, sure, she could not like you because of that. But I don't know, if you're a decent person and you're not belligerent in your opinions, I think it's pretty hard for other people to write you off.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Yeah, I think, yeah, I agree. So if you go out with this girl and you're just a perfect gentleman and you're accepting of her beliefs, even if they're not your own, and then you can respectfully push back on certain areas so that you're not, you know, you don't want to be a pushover, but you also don't have to, you know, you don't have to, like, die on any hill on the first date. You just tell her where you're at,
Starting point is 00:50:22 and maybe you guys could be representative of this push towards unity that we all seek you know what i mean so i don't know i would i would go out with her i like i like a little bit of a challenge like that yeah to me it's like it's like oh this person might this person probably wouldn't ordinarily like me i'm like well maybe i can get them to like me that'd feel pretty good yeah and how do you get them to like you by being a good person so it's like it's i don't think there's really a bad part to it yeah that or just pin her dad dude just let her know dude i'll pin your dad her dad's probably beast probably jacked is what i'm imagining in this he's like a super jacked like gender studies teacher at wesleyan yeah just a yoked up 230 230, 3% body fat, tweed,
Starting point is 00:51:07 under armor jacket. Race, sex, identity teacher. Just look out, dude. Just house and lefts to the body and the head
Starting point is 00:51:13 on the heavy bag and then going home and just crushing some Foucault. I think, dude, it's all about listening. It's life's premier skill,
Starting point is 00:51:22 dude. Listen to yourself, be accountable, listen to others, empathize. I like that's premier skill, dude. Listen to yourself. Be accountable. Listen to others. Empathize. I like that. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:51:29 What up, Chad, JT, and hopefully Strider? My name is Redacted, and I'm a 21. I never met anybody named Redacted. I'm a 21-year-old guy. I'm a longtime listener of the pod, and I've come to appreciate your opinions on just about everything. Something has been on my mind for a long time, and I'm very interested to hear your take on it, or if you feel like phoning it in.
Starting point is 00:51:47 Maybe just some affirmation that I'm making the right decision You see I'm a virgin ever since I've been old enough to be sexually interested I've been hoping to save my first time for the right girl I've always thought it'd be cool be a cool gift to give to that special someone My concern is that I may be doing some harm as well as good to be honest To be honest, I figured it would have happened by now, but I've never met any girls with whom I want to take that step. I'm a pretty introverted guy,
Starting point is 00:52:09 so I almost never date, and I don't mean that in a sad way. It's just my personality. I fear that as I get older, my lack of experience may become more of a negative than a positive in the eyes of my potential mates.
Starting point is 00:52:19 I can't tell you how many times I've heard female friends complain of a guy that they have sex with in great detail. And I can't... Yeah. And I can't help but feel a little bad about myself every time I hear those conversations. It's gotten to a point where the fantasy of my first time invokes more anxiety than excitement.
Starting point is 00:52:35 Another simple problem is that I really want to have sex. Again, when I was younger, I assumed that I would have found a significant relationship by now. And it seems like it's going to be a while before something like that happens. part of me thinks that i shouldn't postpone getting to experience that part of life i still think it'd be awesome to let a great girl be the first person to see my adult body undressed but i also think it's a little arrogant for me to assume that i'd have a long life with plenty of time to meet her what if i die next week and i never get to shag it may be worth mentioning that my virginity isn't related to my religion at all i don't have any ethical objections to having sex thanks for reading and for always amping up your audience i mean dude well if it's not religious then it sounds like just a classic case of putting the pussy on a
Starting point is 00:53:13 pedestal i think a little bit different than that i think he's put his own dick on a pedestal which as a virgin dude is a very big mistake. You're not going to be pleasing any ladies your first time out of the gates, unless you know you're a savant. By and large, talking to all my buddies and myself, the first time for a dude is pretty quick. You can rally and it could be nice, but
Starting point is 00:53:37 yeah, man, I would just say if you're not doing it for a religious reason and then now it's sort of spun out of control where it's like you're a virgin by choice, but it sounds like the choice of others and i only say that like it's ripping on you but dude i it's like i'm look if that message had a reflection it'd be my face dude looking right back at me bro i understand what you're saying i love the romanticism of wanting to be a nice time but right now it's like be a nice guy. You're a nice guy. The first lady you sleep with. I mean, I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:54:10 I do want your romantic vision to come true. But at the same time, I do worry, like you said, because you want to get in a relationship. And it is a little bit of a red flag for some other people. Unless, you know, they're a virgin, too. There's someone for everyone. But I know I'm like flip-flopping back and forth. But you've got to get laid. I think it's okay.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Really? I think it's okay. I was I think it's okay either way. I mean, I was a virgin until I was 24. You were a virgin until you were how old? 23. Yeah. How old is he? 21.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Yeah. I mean, that's fine. It's about time. It's ripe time, I would say, right now. But I would say he thinks like girls are going to like, when I was a virgin, I thought if a girl found out I was a virgin, it was going to be a deal breaker. And then actually, girls don't really care if you're a virgin i don't most don't care in my experience i actually thought it'd be worse i remember i was talking to a girlfriend i was like if a girl finds out i'm a virgin that's like worse than her finding out if i have herpes and she's like no
Starting point is 00:54:55 it's not even close and now i have herpes and i don't know and i also don't think that's that big of a deal it's not i don't think any of this stuff's that big of a deal yeah he's stuck in kind of a weird area it's a weird i don't think they're gonna judge you i think he's a freak but i think the girl's gonna recognize and be like oh this is a big deal now and it's gonna change the it's it's a it's a obstacle you're gonna have to overcome because he kind of was taking pride in waiting for the right one but now he's feeling embarrassed that he didn't do it so it's kind of like now i think you should just do it so you're gonna stop thinking about the first time you know i don't know yeah i think you gotta live by the dao you know wayne dyer and the
Starting point is 00:55:32 dao de ching says that those who seek the most approval from others get the least of it those who do not care about the approval of others get the most so if you i think that applies to sure dude yeah if he applies to me drilling myself later to how smart and freaking salient that was but i don't i don't want him to like feel like if he's 22 and he's a virgin like it's getting worse and he's getting more pressure because it can compound like dude, dude, if you, it's totally cool to have sex. I would love it if he fucked. That'd be great. If you just went out there and you just had sex with a nice girl you met and you didn't
Starting point is 00:56:12 make a big deal out of it and you just boned and then maybe you guys boned again or maybe you didn't see each other again, but you both had a good time. That's awesome. But if in a year you're still not a virgin, it could end up great. You could, the first person you lose it to could end up being your wife. Like it could end up beautifully. It'll be beautiful no person you lose it to could end up being your wife. Like it could end up beautifully. It'll be beautiful no matter what, but I just,
Starting point is 00:56:28 I think he's good. Well, I like what you're saying. You shouldn't care so much about it because you know, it will happen and everything happens for a reason, you know? So there's like, you know,
Starting point is 00:56:36 you can say like, Oh man, if COVID didn't happen, then all this stuff, it's like, no, this is, this is your path.
Starting point is 00:56:41 This is your journey. This is the journey that we're on. And, uh, you know, if he, if you had forced it years ago, you know, who knows what could have happened. You know, you could have lost it in a freak accident. And I'm talking about your dong, so you never know.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And when you get in there, you don't have to come in, like, you know, whatever we think Arnold Schwarzenegger has sex with and just have, like, you know, a super hard cock and just, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't have to do that. Like like you can just be giving her little kisses and just lightly grazed her For an hour for an hour you could fucking scratch her back for 20 minutes and tell her secrets They never shared with anyone while you guys watch Bridgerton like you don't fucking you know There's nothing there's no playbook on how you have to have sex. Yeah, so you get older you realize that you're like It's really the sex. It's like it's all about on how you have to have sex. Especially as you get older, you realize that you're like, it's really the sex. It's all about how you're connecting.
Starting point is 00:57:26 You know what I mean? So don't worry about the mechanics of how you're fucking and what some 21-year-old's going to... Everyone talks shit on sex after they have it when you're in college. That's the fun of college. You're like, oh, I'm having sex now. So now I get to talk to my friends. I'm like, ooh, this girl did this weird thing.
Starting point is 00:57:38 I made fun of a girl one time for getting too into it when we were dry humping. I talk shit. This is a douchey thing I did. I don't know why up, but like I was like it was like she got really into it weird I'm like what was I thinking I just been a dick. It was awesome that she got into of course. That's amazing Yeah, I was so fucking insecure. I had to like pick on her for like being unbridled You know what I mean, so yeah, man, just get in there. Just you know rubber took us for ten minutes pet her hair Have her fucking Twist your nipples just figure it out
Starting point is 00:58:06 man you're good dude tell her you want to rip her heart out sensual yeah don't worry about exactly fucking tell you want to eat her ribs well you gotta come in with a gimp mask on and tell her that that's see that's that's style you can develop style and have fun with it i do think that's right he's stressing himself out about being good. He wants it to be romantic. And about the penis in the vagina. Yeah. Yeah. Dude, be okay with it sucking, dude, but it's going to be awesome when it sucks because it's going to be great. And if he's open and if he's present, it doesn't matter if it sucks. Just be nice. Yeah. And be, be available. Be nice. Make sure she gets her rocks off ladies first, dude. Then, you know, have fun. You know, when you get hard, I want you to do this. When you get hard and you're about to insert, I want you to
Starting point is 00:58:44 slow down and go, and I want you to not insert., I want you to do this. When you get hard and you're about to insert, I want you to slow down and go, and I want you to not insert. And I want you to wait another five minutes of fooling around. And then I want you to get in there. Whoa, dude. Yeah. Cause I want you to really cherish this. You're going to have a good time.
Starting point is 00:58:54 You only get to have your first time once. It's like the first time you watch like a great movie. You don't get to do that again. Yeah. Have any of you guys worn a gimp mask while making love? Yeah. You have? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:04 I bought one, but I'm too scared throw it on dude that's gnarly dude should i wear it to the next podcast yeah absolutely you should you should wear it while you ice bath freak out your neighbors yeah dude maybe i should have like caroline get a leash on it and she like takes me to the ice bath and she tells me to get in because i haven't really hung out with my neighbor too much and they're always outside so I think that would really... Dude, that's... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:28 They'd know with the new neighbors in town. Dude, you walk outside butt naked with the gift mask on and be like, oh, sorry, I forgot my shoes.
Starting point is 00:59:37 Oh, hey, neighbor, oh, sorry, I forgot my shoes. Run back in. Oh, I forgot something. Run in, just grab your shoes, come out.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Hey, how you doing? Oh, look, you caught me with my gift mask. Oh, come out with my gift mask. Hey, I forgot something. Run in, just grab your shoes, come out. Hey, how you doing? Oh, look, she caught me with my gift mask. Oh, come out with my gift mask. Hey, what's trash day again? Is it today? Then I take out the trash bins. Yell back inside,
Starting point is 00:59:53 honey, it is sweater weather out. Then go back inside. I put on a sweater, but no pants. No pants, still get mask, yes. Chop and dong. New balance on. Alright, you guys ready for some Beef Babes and Legends? Yeah balance on. All right, you guys ready for some beef babes and legends? Yeah. Born.
Starting point is 01:00:07 Chad, what is your beef of the week? My beef of the week is with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Whoa. Saddle up, you royal fucks. Dude, I just saw an article that they want to come back into the royal family no make a decision okay no flip-flopping just be you know it's like so it's like you're supposed to become royalty and then just like we don't hear you speak again you just show up on tv but now they're like oh we're leaving the royal family we're gonna start a production company it's like
Starting point is 01:00:43 it's so offensive to all the people in la who work hard to build careers and then just because you're royal you get to start a production company forget you um and then you're like oh actually we want to be royals again it's like just shut up okay just shut up just shut up I would love to be a prince and you chose not to be a prince fuck you dude and Meghan Markle everyone wants to be a princess it's just like
Starting point is 01:01:15 you knew what you were getting into you got married you know it's gonna be weird and you're gonna have to drink lots of tea and fucking you know, drink lots of tea and fucking, you know, wear a sword around your waist. I think that's what you do when you're a Royal,
Starting point is 01:01:34 but you know, it's like, we're relieving the family. We're not just go to Tahiti and shut up. Also, actually don't go to Tahiti. shut up. Well said. Actually, don't go to Tahiti. Go to... Somewhere lamer?
Starting point is 01:01:48 Go to like Manchester. Oh, yeah. Yeah, go to Manchester and just eat a fucking crumpet. But not in the 80s when the music was banging. Yeah. That's my beef. They are annoying as fuck. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:01 They just want it every which way. Yeah. It's like, hey, we're special. We're unique. We got it. Yeah. They just want it every which way. Yeah. It's like, hey, we're special. We're unique. We like, we got it. Yeah. Yeah. Terminally unique. I guess Meghan Markle did build a career in Hollywood, but still, you can't just be like, we're going to. Well, you left. You don't get back in. Yeah. You're out. Yeah. And they made such a show of leaving. Yeah. You know, they're like, we don't like it here. We're low key. We're down to earth. Yeah. You're not down to earth. You're not down to earth.
Starting point is 01:02:26 You're not down to earth. The most down to earth royals ever. Didn't they want a secret service protection? And they're flying on like private jets to like Toronto. It's like, I don't know anybody down to earth in Toronto. Yeah, Toronto. Toronto, that's a down to earth place now? Yeah, get real.
Starting point is 01:02:45 It's exotic. Joe, who's a down-to-earth place now? Yeah, get real. It's exotic. Joe, who's your Beef of the Week? Is it Meghan Markle as well? Yeah, it's the royal family. No. I would say mechanics lately have been... Well, I've been getting a lot of false information, shoddy work on my headlight. My one headlight keeps going out. They keep screwing it back in.
Starting point is 01:03:17 The one guy keeps blaming the other guy. This guy didn't hook it up right. And, like, we're driving here and it goes out again. Let's get it together, all right right you guys are lucky to be working you're an essential business all right let's get it right lucky to have a job sorry i'm gonna pile on them but no and the headlights apparently they're probably touching the bulb that's what i hear if you touch the bulb when you put it in that grease you can mess with it and make it die oh really yeah i think that's what I hear. If you touch the bulb when you put it in, that grease, it can mess with it and make it die. Oh, really? Yeah. I don't think that's what's going on.
Starting point is 01:03:49 You guys are going to be like, are you a music exec in 1996? Because you just keep throwing one headlight at me. One headlight. I think that's the best song that Dylan's ever written. I think that song's better than any Bob Dylan song. Dude, you don't say that. Big swing. Subterranean homesick blues. Not fun listening. One headlight. Very good song. Dude, you don't say that. Big Swing. Subterranean homesick blues. Not fun listening. One Headlight.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Very good song. Are you offended? Heavily offended. Are you doing De Niro? The Demon Poet. I don't know why De Niro's a big Dylan fan, but he is. Dylan? You talking about Dylan? You talking about Bob, the Demon Poet? His music? His son's better?
Starting point is 01:04:24 One and the same. Guess what he created? He created his son. Oh, so he's responsible for all the art of the progeny? We just give him that whole umbrella? You're going to sheet them with that entire umbrella? Yeah, you didn't get it from nowhere, you know? Who's your B for the week? My B for the week, also a royal one, pain in my butt, my dog Sonny.
Starting point is 01:04:43 The guy last night and I'm at fault as well. There's all these little seeds that drop from these palm trees in LA, dude. Look, they're beautiful. Love the aesthetic, dude. Love palm trees. But they drop seeds at certain time of year and I can't tell because Sonny's low to the ground. He just licks them up real fast.
Starting point is 01:05:00 The dog bokes three times last night. Freaks out my GF. She's never had a dog growing up. I've had dogs, and I'm like, look, dogs will throw up from time to time. It's all good. So we ended up getting them pet insurance. We almost drove to the vet, but then we gave him a little pumpkin. He did eat the pumpkin, and we read that online.
Starting point is 01:05:17 We Googled for him. Basically, a modern couple or what modern people can do for you when they're really worried is they'll Google for you. If you're worried for somebody, oh, dude, let me look that up for you real quick, find out that info on Google, and then that's very considerate. Let me can do for you when they're really worried is they'll Google for you. If you're worried for somebody, oh dude, let me look that up for you real quick, find out that info on Google and that's very considerate. You caught him sneaking the seeds? Yep, he was sneaking them like that, exactly.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Little bastard. But I love him, he's so cute. That's nice. I gotta hang out with him. Dude, you gotta meet him. Dude, maybe I can even bring him in. He's huge, chill. Yeah that i love doggies that's all i got um my beef of the week is with i don't know if i have a beef of the week it's a good week i think i might be beefless
Starting point is 01:06:03 is there something I should beef with? You didn't have enough time today to do all your Toto bars. The impending civil war? Yeah, I'm not thrilled about that. Yeah, do I have a beef with that? I guess my beef is with just people in general yeah I think sometimes you know we're just not drilling it the way we should
Starting point is 01:06:31 I think everybody is pretty cool but sometimes I get upset aspects of human nature are on show well you know what I think is I think most you're saying most people are cool, but it's the internet.
Starting point is 01:06:47 So the internet makes you think like everyone's extreme on either side and is insane. And you're just sitting there like, whoa. And that fuels so much of the hatred. It's a bummer. It is a bummer. It's like when your kids tell you that TV will or your parents tell you when you're a kid that's gonna warp your mind
Starting point is 01:07:06 yeah now we're all looking at the internet all day it literally does warp your mind yeah Chad who's your babe of the week
Starting point is 01:07:14 my babe of the week are my skis nice and my they're my babe of the week for you know because they took me skiing but I
Starting point is 01:07:23 I posted a clip of me skiing on on instagram and people were nice but a lot of people and this has been happening to me for the past 10 years you know they're like oh you don't snowboard you're a renob yeah that's so unchill and i'm like i'm not a re-knob i like to ski that's how i prefer you know just just because someone's like you know i hope you don't actually this was kind of nice but i don't even know if it was but they're just like they're like oh you don't ski oh my god oh dude you use two boards instead of one? I'm like, yeah, I use two, okay? I chose to use two at a young age, and I've stuck with it.
Starting point is 01:08:12 And I don't appreciate the prejudice towards skis because everyone's like, you don't seem like a skier. And I'm like, well, I'm trying to redefine skier. You know, I know a lot of cool skiers. Shane McConkie. Yeah. He's a cool skier. So, and you know what? Usually the people who spew that kind of hate, you know,
Starting point is 01:08:36 that who try to create division between boards, they are the ones who are the renobs on the mountain. Well said. You're the kook. You're the kook. Joey is your Babe of the Week. Babe of the Week is my car, my Prius C. So I just get back in town.
Starting point is 01:09:03 The car is sitting in the garage for six-plus months. No one moved it. No one started it at all the whole time. Everyone's telling me, you're going to have to get a new battery. This car is dead. Even the guy that came and jump-started, he's like, well, it'll jump-start tonight, but it's not going to work tomorrow. You're going to have to get a new battery.
Starting point is 01:09:25 It's been working for a week now. Baby is back in business. Let's go. I mean, it starts every time. Put air in the tires. Washed it. It's ready to roll. It's back. There's no stop. There's no stop in this car.
Starting point is 01:09:39 Old dependable. Sat that long. And it just one little jump and it's back. You knew the whole time, too. You had faith the entire time. Yeah, I had a good feeling about it. I knew. The guy was like, it's not going to work.
Starting point is 01:09:51 I was like, what are the percentages? Like 90% it won't work. I knew that was Carl's fighter. Joe was like, it's going to work. Yeah. Just had a feeling. Carl's got heart. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:01 Carl got heart, Larry. That's the best. I love that. Who's your Baby of the Week strider? Baby of the Week's got to be my Jeff, Larry. He's the best. I love that. Who's your Baby of the Week strider? My Baby of the Week Scott would be my GF, dude. We started a puzzle for the third time
Starting point is 01:10:09 we tried to do our Woody and Buzz Lightyear puzzle over the holiday break and I've quit. It's very difficult. The background is all sorts of dark shades of like navy blue and stuff
Starting point is 01:10:18 and a little bit of Woody's hat. I got some of Buzz Lightyear. I got like his, you know, his Buzz Lightyear name tag on there and you know his red button then I had to call it quits and my GF is almost finished with it she's absolutely crushing that puzzle she's crushing it? yeah she dominates
Starting point is 01:10:34 so just freaking just fired up on her perseverance her determination and her mental fortitude beautiful my baby of the week is the film Before Sunset now when I was first going to film school I said my favorite the film Before Sunset. Now, when I was, when I was first going to film school, I said my favorite movie was Before Sunrise, the first one in the series. And it's about two young lovers who meet when they're 23 years old and be in
Starting point is 01:10:53 Austria and they spend a whirlwind night together. And then at the end, we don't know if they ever see each other again. Nine years later, the director, Richard Linklater, makes up a follow up film, never telling us what happened. And then nine years later is the follow up to that. And they're nine years older in the movie, which makes them 32, which gets how old I am for one more, for a couple more days, 32, dude, I related to this movie so hard. I think it is the most romantic movie in history. I think it's the most romantic movie you can watch. I recommend it to everyone.
Starting point is 01:11:20 Watch the first one, then watch this one. It will blow your mind. It's a huge achievement. Richard Linklater, Beast, Ethan Hawke asesse i just dude i watched i was like i ripped my whole personality from this guy i just lifted my whole i was watching i don't even have a personality i just try to act like this guy and then julie delpia celine phenomenal they wrote their own dialogue too which is really nice amazing yeah and i don't want to give anything else away because it's really good but check it out before sunset really good movie yeah glad i revisited it chad who's your legend of the week uh my legend of the week is climbing
Starting point is 01:11:50 mountains um dude talk about type 2 fun yeah i i climbed the mountain the mount baldy and sun valley i've done it before but it's like you, you know, it's probably about a two, two and a half hour climb. I did snowshoes this time. Usually I do skis, I'll skin up, but I did snowshoes. You start at like, you know, 5.45 AM. It's super cold. It's dark out, snow cats around the mountain. And then you just hike up. and I'm telling you just the the the thing about climbing a literal mountain
Starting point is 01:12:31 it releases so much joy into you for some reason because it's like an accomplishment that you can see like oh I climbed the mountain and then like it's living hell while you're doing it. I enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:12:47 But, like, the people I was with, they're like, this sucks balls. But then when I got to the top, I was, like, euphoric. I was like, there's literally no better high than climbing this mountain. I was like, dude, I have so much energy. I don't know what's going on. I, like, shotgunned a monster energy drink. I was, like, I was so fired up. I don't know what's going on. I like shotgunned a monster energy drink. I was like, I was so fired up. And so I highly recommend it.
Starting point is 01:13:10 I want to climb more mountains. That's a good call. Who's the famous mountain climber who said, they're like, why'd you climb Everest? Because it's there. Yeah. That's hilarious. I want to climb the Matterhorn.
Starting point is 01:13:23 Why'd you take that fat shit at Walmart? Because it's there. Was that your story when you were shotgunning that was a monster it's nice I remember seeing that how long did it take you to climb it about two hours was it cold super cold but you generate so much heat
Starting point is 01:13:40 that like ten minutes in you're shedding layers and you're like down to like a long sleeve shirt, but even though it's like zero degrees. Love that. Love that process. But then like- Like Dane Cook ripping off layers of clothes on his half hour Comedy Central special.
Starting point is 01:13:52 Is he really? Yeah, he did it so they couldn't edit it. Dude, it's so funny because now could you imagine taping a special with a tank top? No, it's pretty nuts. Just coming out. Just imagining.
Starting point is 01:14:02 It's not Madison Square Garden. That was the reason he did that. He said he did it so they couldn't edit it. But I think that was maybe in retrospect. He's like, yeah, so they couldn't change it. He's like, you didn't think of something for wine? Yeah. Joe, who's your legend? Well,
Starting point is 01:14:18 I guess, no, not I guess. My legend would have to be, you know, it's been just a rough year and it uh it just keeps going um not to bring it down but uh you know at the comedy store i've had the pleasure of working there the last few years and uh yesterday we lost uh our piano player passed away last night jeff scott who was there for 25 years. The guy, he was an absolute legend. He really made every show in the original room better.
Starting point is 01:14:52 It was just the magic and the keys and the way he played that piano. It was like if there was ever a sub for him, the shows just didn't have the same allure. He just brought an energy and just had this he had this great laugh um you know he had fun he loved having drinks being with his friends there um you know he just was a guy that uh you know he would uh sometimes i'd be setting up the original room he would show up and like be setting up the original room, he would show up and, like, maybe his chair, like, the mic, or somebody would touch the shit where he's supposed to set up
Starting point is 01:15:31 and he would get all pissed. He'd be like, what the fuck? Who's setting this shit? Who's moving my shit? Like, he'd be so mad and I just would, like, stay away from him until the show started. But he was a character, man. But he was a character, man.
Starting point is 01:15:51 You know, I haven't seen him since, I guess it would be March. So it really sucks that we're not going to see him there again. It's definitely going to be weird. Once the Comedy Store gets going again, that's going to be a tough adjustment without him there. So, God bless you, Jeff. That's it. I don't know. No, what's up, man? Sorry for your loss.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Yeah. Just a moment for Jeff. Strider, who's your Legend of the Week? Dude, my Legend of the week is my vest. Fucking, dude, this thing's so sick. It is. It's a nice poof. I've never, I was very, I don't really take many fashion risks.
Starting point is 01:16:37 Mainly, it's just my socks, you know, because you can't really see it. But, yeah, dude, a vest, I feel like, should serve a function like stopping a bullet or floating to save someone's life and i say this the function of this vest is just like it's a fucking sick decision maker investment vest you know and if i was going to give anybody investing advice it'd be time's your best asset you know never mind that freaking dinosaur juice that's down there dude invest your time spending it with good people like your freaking bros, dude. And that's going to pay for the most dividends. Is that oil? Dinosaur juice is oil, yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:10 Nice. But more importantly, you've got to kick it with your boys. For sure. My legend of the week is Joe Morisi. It's good to have him back in Los Angeles. And I'm moving out, so we'll no longer be living together in just a few short days. It's been a tremendous run. Joe, you've been a really good friend to me.
Starting point is 01:17:31 You've looked out for me, helped me through a lot of panic attacks and breakups and ups and downs. So I'm going to miss you, brother. And you always help me adult a little better. The other day I was trying to light a candle. I don't know how to light a candle. And go i go joe i go joe the wick's too low i'm like lighting my thumbs up where he goes you turn it upside down grab the candle flip it up boom lit what would i do without you i don't know yeah i don't know who you're gonna ask for help now by yourself i don't know it's a good move when When I told Joe I was leaving, I go, Joe, I think I'm in a movie. He goes, yeah, what are you going to do when you get lonely at night, you idiot?
Starting point is 01:18:10 Yeah, I mean, panic attacks alone, it's not a pretty sight. Well, you're not far away. I'll come over. But, yeah, I'll miss you. I'll miss bugging you with the pick-ums. But just most of all, I'll miss your good energy, your good attitude, and your sweetheart. So thank you, bud. Yeah, no problem.
Starting point is 01:18:27 My pleasure. It's been a good few years living with you. Thanks, man. Chad, what's your quote of the week? My quote of the week comes from Wayne Dyer. I've been crushing on Wayne Dyer over the holidays. He's just sort of a spiritual dude. He's all into the Tao, the Tao Te Ching, the Middle Way.
Starting point is 01:18:53 And he says, everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose. Nice. Joe, what's your quote of the week? I'm looking at it. I know it's a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote that I saw. Do you want us to swing back?
Starting point is 01:19:14 Yeah, swing back. Where did you see that one again? I don't know. You mentioned it to me. Yeah, I can't remember now. It was on my uncle and aunt's uh oh yeah kids graduation oh yeah that was a good one i know it do you want me to say it yeah sure what lies behind you and what lies in front of you is nothing compared to what lies inside within you yeah that's right
Starting point is 01:19:37 that's my quote of the week yeah joe was looking around he was like he was cleaning out our apartment because i got like dude joe was giving me mail, my mail. He's like, if you open this, it's from the DMV. I open it, it's new registration, 2018. It's like, I think we can throw this one away. But he found that when my cousin graduated high school. Strider, what's your quote of the week? Dude, just hearing all my dog's
Starting point is 01:20:02 fricking dank philosophical quotes. My quote is just, not really a quote, but it's just saying, stoic saying, dude. And I'm probably not going to say it right, but Amir Fati, dude. Do you know what that means? Love of fate. Your quote made me think of it. Every opportunity, man. Embrace it, dude.
Starting point is 01:20:19 Be your best version of the self around it, dude. I think that's good for 2021. We've had tough struggles in 2020, dude. See what we can do. And if we can freaking climb this freaking mountain, that's 2021, dude. Let's go. Act like every day is your last.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Freaking amen, dude. Drill yourself. Definitely master me. Of course. Definitely drop in on Xbox. My quote of the week is from, my GF was in Nebraska for a month visiting her fam and she would call me when she was on walks and her neighbor asked for a music rec for her kid and my gf was like oh check out taylor swift you know she's got these two new great albums this
Starting point is 01:20:59 year evermore and i forget the name of the first the the second one. And then I see my GF's like, oh yeah, try out Taylor Swift. And then Jackie Nordby, the feisty neighbor goes, Taylor Swift, everyone's done something bad to her. She said like, that's how Taylor Swift represents herself. And I was like, dude, that is a succinct takedown. Let's go. Well said. Chad, what's your phrase of the week for getting after it?
Starting point is 01:21:30 Joe's back. Nice. Joe. I don't know. I forgot you guys had all these categories. How could you forget? How could you forget? What is it?
Starting point is 01:21:41 Phrase of the week? It's your phrase of the week for getting after it. It's a phrase that makes you want to get after it. Yeah, that's a good one. Man. What do you, what? Yo, let's kick it to Strider first. Strider, what's your phrase of the week for getting after it?
Starting point is 01:21:57 Boom shakalaka from downtown. Remember NBA Jam, dude? NBA Jam. NBA season's on. Fired up for it. Haven't been watching much. JT's been ribbing me a little bit, but I'm watching more now, dude. My fantasy team's not that good.
Starting point is 01:22:07 Yeah, because you drafted your team from your car on the 405. We're going to do wow. With no research, no spreadsheets. You know, I think you were on auto draft after 10 minutes. We're going to do wow. I couldn't keep looking at the phone. I was like, I just got to get my two top dogs, Anthony Davis and Steph Curry. I love watching them both.
Starting point is 01:22:28 Oh, wait. What about the Fantasy Surf League? I never saw that email. You never? I sent it to you again. I got it. I sent it to all you guys. I didn't see it.
Starting point is 01:22:35 Can we start? I'll resent. Yeah. Their events are getting postponed and canceled. I'm in. I'm super down. Yeah. I didn't see it.
Starting point is 01:22:42 Yeah. It's just me and Kev right now. Kev beat me. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, no. We can't let that happen. I'm super down. Yeah, I didn't see it. Yeah. It's just me and Kev right now. Kev beat me. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, no. We can't let that happen. I'll resend the invites.
Starting point is 01:22:49 Yeah, please. So my phrase of the week for getting after it isn't even a great phrase for partying, but it's just a nice burn. It's Adlai Stevenson said this to Richard Nixon back in the day. He said, if you stop lying about me, I'll stop telling the truth about you. Nice, dude. Good burn. That's a good burn, yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:07 Dudes, Joe, Strider, the four horsemen of the chillpocalypse, everybody back in the his-ouse. You got Aaron. Aaron on the key. Aaron back. With the baby dowda. Everyone's back. It's great. We'll have to do this again very soon.
Starting point is 01:23:22 Great to be back. Oh, absolutely, dude. Maybe we run it back. Run it right back. Yeah, we could do the first back to back. It's great. We'll have to do this again very soon. Great to be back. Absolutely, dude. Maybe we run it back. Run it right back. We could do the first back to back. We could go back to back. All right. Thanks, guys.
Starting point is 01:23:32 All right, dudes. Let's just limp to the finish line quietly. I know some people like to go to sleep listening to this. Yeah. Should we put the Stokers to sleep? ASMR. Oh, yeah. Thank you so much, everybody, for joining tonight.
Starting point is 01:23:44 It was a pleasure having you on the podcast. I hope your night is filled with stoke and dreams of you just riding big ramps and getting fat air and just drilling yourself. When you're that high in the air, that amplitude off the vert, it feels like God's just petting your hair. Joe, what do you want to say? Just sweet dreams, little one. I didn't know you could be so paternal, Joe. That was tremendous. He really shined.
Starting point is 01:24:18 You shunned in that moment. Strider, what do you have to say? You're catching fucking fire. Aaron, you actually do this now, right? So do you want to be our capstone? Do you want to finish it off? Go the fuck to sleep. All right.
