Starting point is 00:00:48 Homechef.com slash go deep must be an active subscriber to receive free dessert. I love Home Chef. Make sure you guys get on it ASAP. So this is definitely, it just says, it says elevate mental clarity. I just want to make sure there's no magic going on. It says magic mind. No, it's, it is magic, but it's subtle magic. It's not the kind where you're going to feel it in how you perceive the world. It's not like teleportation.
Starting point is 00:01:24 It's like there's a quarter behind your ear. It's not like being on you're going to feel it in how you perceive the world. It's not like teleportation. It's like there's a quarter behind your ear. It's not like being on mushrooms. Okay, cool. It's more like being on cordyceps. Okay, I'm intrigued. I want to drink some, but I have stuff to do today. Am I going to do it? It's going to help you do stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:37 It's a productivity drink. Okay, cool. It's going to boost your mind and your stove. All right. At worst, you won't feel anything. It's got matcha in there it's smells sour it's got a bitterness to it so people are in the comments and they're saying wade doesn't burn how often do people say that to you all the time interesting it tastes like
Starting point is 00:01:59 medicine um i would say a lot they say that a lot yes that would be one of the most frequent lines actually when i'm in public i mostly get uh people mostly just scream zon zon what's the worst time someone screams on at you um oh man this is actually a pretty funny story um oh man this is actually a pretty funny story i was i was connecting i had come from like france or something i was connecting in in new jersey and it was one of those times where customs just took so long but i thought i was good i thought i was just gonna like get through customs get on the plane i realized i was getting my bag and i had to recheck it and go back through security because i was coming from like another country and i didn't know that and i'm like oh fuck so i get through security and i have like 40 minutes and i'm like i thought i was chilling
Starting point is 00:02:59 like i thought i was gonna just walk over 40 minutes but now i'm realizing it's it's gnarly so i checked the bag and i i am waiting for the uh the train at the new jersey airport i don't know if you've ever waited for that train it takes a long time 15 minutes go by and i'm like i'm starting to get stressed bus pulls up everyone gets on i can't i have no space and i'm like i'm like okay now i've like there's like 20 minutes till my flight i'm waiting again next train pulls up like five minutes later i'm like i'm getting on this train i don't care what i don't care what's happening no one gets off and everyone just like trying to cram into the train i jump in A lady gets pushed out. Like a lady. And she's shocked.
Starting point is 00:03:47 She's appalled. And I'm standing. She was next to you? No. We're all jumping in. I jump in. She pops out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:55 And she's standing there. And she's like. And I'm like. I'm like. I'm sorry. I'm like making space. And the guy behind me goes. That was my fucking wife bro.
Starting point is 00:04:05 And I'm like. Oh dude. I'm like. And the doors haven't shut yet. I'm like. I'm sorry. I'm like making space. And the guy behind me goes, that was my fucking wife, bro. And I'm like, oh, dude. I'm like, and the doors haven't shut yet. I'm like, I'm like, come on. I'm like clearing space. I'm like, squeeze in. And she's like, no. And I'm like, come on. And the door is just shut.
Starting point is 00:04:20 And now I'm looking at her. She's pissed off on the other side and the guy again goes that was my fucking wife bro should have jumped out with her and and i'm i'm like and i'm like dude i'm sorry i gotta make my flight there was space he goes i don't give a fuck about the flight dude and we're in there he says it probably three times that was my fucking wife and i'm sitting there the vibe is tense dude there's like 20 of us crammed into this little train car dead silent all of a sudden guy in the back goes no fucking way dude jimmy tetro and and i look back i'm like no no dude no no and he's like zon dude and the guy goes you know this fucking guy and he's like yeah dude he started out on youtube he's like he's like
Starting point is 00:05:14 he's like giving my full bio dude he's like yeah dude guy's a legend man he started out on youtube now he has this show the real bros are sleeping i'm just sitting there like bro shut the fuck up the door is finally open and i like start to go and the guy's like yeah you better run i'm like dude i'm making a flight what do you think i'm gonna stay here and fight you dude i'm why why did he not go out with his wife that's what i'm saying he's a bad husband yeah he just stood there going that's my fucking wife, bro. He's like, well, maybe, I don't know, maybe you get off now and get her out. What did he say to her when they finally linked back up? He was like, don't worry, babe.
Starting point is 00:05:53 I told that guy. What did you tell him? I told him that was my fucking wife three, four times. And the original, did she have space to get back on? She did, because there wasn't, but I like boxed out. And I was like yo come on yeah like i cleared she was just trying to be a hater yeah she was she got stuck in her i'm mad and she didn't want to she was not in a solution oriented state of mind she wanted to bask in the uh indignity of it yeah some people need bad things to go on because they already feel bad so they
Starting point is 00:06:25 need the bad thing to happen to blame it on reinforce why you actually might have saved their marriage they might have needed something to kind of focus on julia roberts's character and closer i haven't seen closer was the guy intimidating he was big he was like a large he was a large man and he and uh you're pretty you're pretty built though dude i but he was like a large he was a large man and he and uh you're pretty you're pretty built though dude i but he was like you know six i mean he was like six five six four was he was he handsome and like man no not he's good looking no okay he looks like the kind of guy that would say that's my fucking wife bro so would you have gone low on him like gone for an ankle and just try to get him down i would have been you know i would have been quick you know i would have maybe hit him
Starting point is 00:07:04 with a little little stomach jab there you go peekaboo here's the thing too i bet if he watched real bros he'd dig it or maybe he's one of the maybe he's one of those guys and he wouldn't he'd be like that's me or maybe he listened to the guy yeah that was like telling him my whole bio yeah watched it now he's like yeah dude that guy shoved my wife off a train wife's like yeah he pushed me off it was crazy i saw one poster for real bros your guns were looking crazy in it well i'm on i'm supposed to be on steroids in the movie so i i tried to get as jacked as possible um he's working on between takes like the marvel guys do really they're pumping yeah but we realized there's supposed to be a steroid progression in
Starting point is 00:07:51 the movie and we shot the whole thing in 10 days so you can't really right can't really create any type of actual moment so we just started shrinking my shirt based on how jacked i was supposed to be and it actually worked pretty well but you didn't actually do steroids i didn't actually do steroids no that's rare i know because most actors do steroids say they're not on steroids you said you were on steroids and didn't do right yeah were you tempted to try i i'm not man i i don't i don't think i'll ever i would maybe do if i you Never say never. Never say never. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:26 But if you're 60? If you're 60, I think if... I don't know. I would maybe do some like... Peptides. Yep. Whatever that is. I know.
Starting point is 00:08:36 You talked about that. Yeah. Something more natural. I don't want to inject. Yeah. You see the... What's the Invictus? The documentary about the... Yeah yeah when he's putting it all
Starting point is 00:08:47 in and he's just like oh there's so much liquid and he's like keeps putting more in he's like it's so viscous yeah i'm like not the word viscous viscous fluids don't feel good no christian would you would you go on steroids i'm too afraid i mean you're already like so ripped thanks man i'm too afraid of roids i don't know i have this like probably irrational fear of what would happen if i get steroids if you did i'll tell you you don't need roids christian if you can look like that without roids i'm afraid of that you're already a house but they're not going i'm addicted to it then what happens if you stop put on an addition if you stop that's the thing right i don't know it's just a whole lot of skin yeah well so with peptides it's supposed to not redline your
Starting point is 00:09:33 system so that it can still naturally produce like muscle building uh tissue and chemicals but yeah with steroids like your body kind of it takes a while to reset but i think there's stuff you can take during it so that it's a smoother i might do it if they put it like in a vape if i could like steroids that'd be sick like i might because that's more like over the counter approachable for flavor too damn again you're serious about just pumping i'm on this i'm on this cherry ice gear yeah i got this blue rise dude i i think i would do them just for the comedy of it if i got fucking yoked and being honest about it doing daily vlogs yeah yeah yeah i do it for the tube you'd be funny if someone like you did it and then like never
Starting point is 00:10:17 acknowledged it just like pre-record a bunch of podcasts and then take like two months off get jacked on steroids and then just show back up and speak nothing of it i'm like a huge body a huge neck tiny head i'm like what's up dudes you probably inspire a lot of people to do it then the next liver king have you guys seen the girls around girls doing steroids like a regular thing now yeah there's one called like anabar or something oh anabar anabar is that what it is yeah that one like uh it makes you look really cut yeah it has a hardening effect yes i took that in high school i heard that's what zach efron once did too do you know efron no no i love him have you seen iron claw he's great it was great oh my god i loved it he's so honestly i think he deserved a nomination he killed that shit yeah that movie didn't get enough attention it was dark you know
Starting point is 00:11:09 dude i heard the real life dad was even worse dude they left out they left out of death another brother went down it was a there was another death in that they didn't include because they didn't have time crazy that's how many brothers died they had to cut one out so that brother is really damn there wasn't enough time in the afterlife he's really yeah trying to get his dad's approval now i guess the dad was selling merch at one of their funerals no way yeah really some joe jackson shit oh man that's fucking crazy what do you guys think of hawk to a girl are you down with hawk to a yeah or is hawk to a already out outlived i thought it was i think it's great like the video is hilarious and she's hilarious i guess it's like you see she was with shaq recently yeah so i'm flexing on he's so funny i want to see what she's going to do with this because for a second
Starting point is 00:11:59 the whole hype was that we can't find her right like where'd she go can you find a mystery yeah and now she's now she seems to be stepping out as they say i would love to see hawk to leverage this and she's like courtside like commentating on you know nba games one day like damn remember when she started off i want to see her leverage this for her real dream it's a little like a star is born well yeah how do you but how do you leverage this i think i think that's my question is how do you leverage this because i think the internet has a inaccurate sense of how much money people make off things like this right like everyone's like oh she's gonna be a fucking millionaire now no i think a hundred thousand she'll make a hundred thousand dollars there's a ceiling to
Starting point is 00:12:44 this i think she needs to milk it and just hopefully she has a good personality like if she starts with a bunch of podcasts and a bunch of interviews and stuff people fall in love with the personality she has someone will offer her an opportunity to like be a regular on something well that says hawk to a girl is already getting offered six hundred dollars to hawk to it in a jar so that's one route you could go she lost her job as a teacher is that true i don't know maybe that's just rumor but it would be cool if she ended up getting a tv show where she's like like mr rogers where she teaches kids that's a that's a big leap yeah because i think i don't want to see her continue in the in the sexual realm i think that would actually
Starting point is 00:13:24 steal yeah i don't think that's charming about the original video i want to see her continue in the sexual realm. I think that would actually steal what was charming about the original video. I want to see her go the other way. Not fired. Oh, she was not fired. So she's still a teacher? So I was listening to a snippet. Man, I fell for that. She interviewed on Barstool.
Starting point is 00:13:39 So she worked at a spring factory. I don't know what that means. All right. And then she quit her job recently and she said she's gonna move to new york or la and do a bunch of she's gonna yeah so i'm saying just milk it for a not like a sexy thing or sexual thing just be a personality that people like to just listen to probably the the podcast the hawk to a podcast is probably yeah it's the best way yeah i'd still like to see your kids the i didn't know a lot of dudes are really obsessed with her yeah i was talking to some cats i know
Starting point is 00:14:10 they were like i love her i want to marry her really oh it's like that like dudes are low-key obsessed like that the mystery though that's one thing is like once she comes out i think you can't i i don't know the mystery factor was like yeah there's so much lore around right you know what's funny though all all the girls i guess people out there who have like in real life done the hawk tour and now feel underappreciated like i've been hawk touring in real life for fucking years you know some people out there are so mad they're not getting this attention and they've been doing the hawk to it dude the hawk to a podcast was like okay after the end of every episode how many times have you hawked to it yeah yeah i can see the opening
Starting point is 00:14:53 graphic for it you know it's like the welcome i want to see the charlie rose interview one day where she gets serious i'm sad he went down i always liked watching his interviews yeah who charlie rose he did the pbs interviews about that he had like a black background a nice wooden table it was always very classy and it turned out he would like uh open the pas would come to his room and he'd be like in his boxers with a boner good for him for getting a boner though he's he's old yeah yeah his show is great maybe he was just stoked he had a boner yeah i did check this out i've been working on this thing he's just proud of himself yeah
Starting point is 00:15:37 yeah charlie rose interviewed literally everybody yeah and he would have a good mix on the show it'd be like martin scorsese and then a ballerina oh nice you know in uh in in the real brothers of simi valley it's it's just a big coincidence but hawk's middle name has been tua this whole time is that true yeah and once we saw this we were like that's crazy that just happening around the release of the movie yep hawk tua sanders i mean we kind that just happening around the release of the movie yep hawk to a sanders i mean we kind of say that in the movie at the very end did you realize that yeah i did i did realize that someone made me realize i was like oh yeah we do kind of you do
Starting point is 00:16:14 hear the words well easy something like that in the movie i'm yeah i'm a chill life imitating art yeah dude i was watching i've been watching your guys's show a lot lately you guys do so many jokes that are like visual like cutaway jokes or like smash cat kind of jokes now all right which is tough because you have to have that scripted are those mostly planned out or do you guys find some of those in the edit and then just like which one give us example i can't think of one off the top i'm so sorry watch it no i did i didn't i've always noticed that about like the kind of uh the joke style of it like like xan will be like no that's something i'll never do and then you cut to him doing that thing that's a very obvious instance those are usually uh scripted and yeah i guess see now i'm nervous well we have i didn't
Starting point is 00:17:02 have there's one that but there's uh in season, the girls go to a Pilates place and it's called Pumpkin Spice Pilates. But you never hear it. You just see it on the chyron and on the front of the building. That's something that came in post that we came up with. But like, that's a visual joke that. There's a I think one. Maybe this is the kind of thing you're talking about where uh they're they're in the room and and the doctor says there's something we could do but it's super experimental and johnny goes
Starting point is 00:17:29 robot legs and he goes what what did you say robot legs and then it cuts to a confessional of johnny saying bro i don't even know why they thought i was serious about saying robot legs yeah that's the kind of thing where like because we shoot the confessionals after we can write things around it yeah right around like we're like we're like if improv happens we can we can add lines in in the confessionals about what was said on set so you guys just mark it as it happens in one scene and then you're like we'll circle back to this in a later scene or what we'll re-watch it before the dick oh so you guys already have the show put together without the confessionals and then you do the confessionals the confessionals are like after
Starting point is 00:18:09 the after the rough cut after season two that it really saved us to add a confessionals day like later on when we already had a cut of the movie uh because like you know there's a lot of things that kind of change or it didn't really work that you need to make sense of and having that extra day of confessionals where you can be like if something isn't really working it can cut to someone and they can be like this is what's going on here yeah and that's like because of the format it's like a forgiving format and that's how real reality shows work they're not like fucking like doing something and walking off camera and like talking about it like they do a different day and they watch footage of themselves they comment on it
Starting point is 00:18:46 obviously you know so yeah just following that model really helps i like watching you direct a lot i'm always very impressed that you're able to act and direct at the same time like we were there at the like the truck contest day yeah that was a hectic day yeah it was crazy yeah it was sprinting and you guys had so much like it was a big like the size of the crew and the cast was big that day yeah and you're in one scene where like you have like a showdown and it's like 10 people have lines in the scene and you would be like cut and then you would give notes real quick but you'd stay like flexing and then you'd be like because you had to still be in character and then you're like all right action and i could hear you listening for if everybody was getting their like the tempo
Starting point is 00:19:27 right on their lines right but you were still in character i was like man uh i don't know that just takes a lot of focus to be able to do that yeah it's you you gotta just stay completely locked in for like the whole the entirety of the shoot there's really like not even there's not like one moment where you're like chilling for the entire shoot and you're probably more worried about the directing than the acting right for sure the acting is like becomes an afterthought it's it's like there'd be times where i'd show up and i'd be like oh fuck i have a monologue right now i gotta kind of like i gotta take like five to lock in and actually like get these get these lines down
Starting point is 00:20:05 but the thing is like we wrote the lines so like you know i know what they are it's just like i gotta like brush up real quick before a scene my favorite moment we were watching as um uh one of the actors was improvving a little bit and so we did a couple takes and you're like flexing you're like stick to script i know exactly that moment i was when you talked about i was thinking about that moment yeah yeah sometimes it's not time well yeah because the clock's running right you gotta get everything done before the day's over that was a funny moment yeah that was because he just kept going i was like just end end it end it finish the line yeah do it as written as written there's certain things like
Starting point is 00:20:47 in those big group scenes there's so much less room to you know it's like when you it's just like 10 people versus 10 people a showdown you can't have you can't just like go off the rails and just start saying nonsense it's like everyone has a beat you hit your beat if you add a little something to it add to it but then end it you know it was just and he just kept going and going and going and i was like i'm already stressed so i'm like just say just say the fucking line just say the line yeah i thought that was gonna stay in the movie for a second because it was in the first couple like really rough because i didn't go out because i said it in character in character i said i didn't say yeah i didn't say stick to the line i said uh he was going on a rant about like peaceful yeah and i was like now we're like no we're not doing that
Starting point is 00:21:34 yeah some of the i mean because the the real bros instagram has been posting yeah i mean i think the um i think the showdown between hawk and bryce that that goes down in internet history that might be on the hall of fame clips wow i think i do that like is it next is it above or underneath hawk tua i think it's above hawk tua because i i think it's aged so well, too. That's the thing about the earlier seasons is like they seem to have gotten funnier, in my opinion, as time has gone. You know what I mean? There's something about like, I don't know. It is interesting, though, that it's Bryce versus Hawk. And now we're talking about Hawk 2-0.
Starting point is 00:22:20 We're comparing. There's something with Hawk. What is it about Hawk? People say K's are like Hawk. The K is funny yeah zan get your boy dog you're a one-year-old child yeah it kind of never gets old it never gets old how long have you guys been making five years the show six more yeah 2018 is when i think season one came out wow and then season two came out was it 2017 or 20 no no 2017 was season two it was season one because 20 i mean 29
Starting point is 00:22:56 20 i we shot the last season in 2019 yeah and so so you must feel like you guys have changed a lot since you started the show. I think so, yeah. I mean, like, life has changed a lot. Yeah. It's like, it's interesting to look at where we were in season one. Like, season one, we were deep in the YouTube game. Like, the whole birth of season one was, it's not sustainable to do a video every week and wake up on tuesday and say what are we going to do next week let's knock out a bigger shoot let's do
Starting point is 00:23:30 one bigger shoot where we can knock out multiple videos so uh that's like the whole birth of of season one so it is interesting to think about that and does is it when you guys were writing this one do you just lock back into that same voice or did you guys want to like do stuff different that was more representative of where you're at now i think like we lock back in for sure but also i think just because we're at different points in our lives now like stuff just comes through probably in the jokes and stories and like you bring it with you but i don't think we were like trying to force things from our lives now just yeah and i think these characters are so out there that it's almost easier to write for characters that you don't relate to at all or you're not trying to like give them necessarily a relatable voice and they're also established
Starting point is 00:24:20 and i think that's what was so that's what was so much fun about writing the show as you go is like i always say this about tv compared to movies what you get with tv is like you know on season three when you say yeah you know that beef he had with hawk his one-year-old son it hits way harder when you've seen the beef right when you've been along for the journey just little character moments just hit so much harder because you've seen the beef right when you've been along for the journey little character moments just hit so much harder because you've you've been there you know why they're now acting the way they're acting when it's in a movie and you're talking about like the past or like you're establishing things it's like you have to establish the whole world and it's like it's like yeah because you're scared of spiders you know you don't you've
Starting point is 00:25:03 never seen him react to a spider. And now we're just supposed to just know that and just move on from that and be like, well, yeah, he said he was scared of spiders back in the day. So now we're moving on. Whereas with the show, it's like all those little things, they've just the audience is so much more in because they feel like they're along for the ride. So it just makes like the voice of it just feels so much stronger and you can you can really like let little moments hit hit harder yeah so we had the advantage of writing the movie that had already been you know a super established world and characters period no it's well said i was just thinking yeah because like tv shows are more like
Starting point is 00:25:45 they're almost like novels you get more time to play around in it see i was embarrassed to say that that's why i didn't say anything after you were done no no it's it's uh it's true like the tv shows you can just be more thorough like you just have more time and you figure out who the characters are better so like like i was thinking about the sopranos too like you just know what a christopher or a polyline is right like season're like, oh yeah, that's the kind of joke he makes. Yeah. And it feels good every time you hear it. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Yeah. It just like starts to like not write itself, but you know, it's like they, there's just like all those little things that are just kind of like, you can sit there and be like, nah, Bryce wouldn't say that. We know Bryce. He wouldn't say that. He wouldn't react this way. You know? Yeah. Do you guys, get i mean someone will probably die one day and on their tombstone have a quote from real bros oh man that's that's a dark way to think about it i would
Starting point is 00:26:37 you know really i would i would have you know been like yeah they'd probably have a tattoo but tombstone quote is pretty sick i'd be aggressive which quote do you think it would be on someone's tombstone probably zan get your boy well i'm gonna throw this out there just a very good shit yeah god get your boy oh sorry man yeah god get your boy dog that's pretty good god comes in and just scoops you up that'd be sick i might do that actually can you say god get your boy like it was the first time we'll have jay cut it in like no no chopped you there jay just stepped on that shit yeah i stepped on hard i got so excited why don't you want him to win i don't know i'm just a virgin
Starting point is 00:27:19 what happens if you have two of these things yeah dude i'll have two in a day but i'm a freak so that's true yeah you've seen me on the treadmill that's after two dude have you seen this guy on a treadmill before it's fucked up have i done one on a treadmill have you seen him run on a treadmill are you running i sprint my ass off how far are you running i'll do uh 3.2 miles usually oh um yeah and then how fast so i do okay so i do 11.8 miles per hour sprint so 45 on 45 off four miles per hour rest and then once i get to 10 minutes i'll do a minute on minute off 11.8 miles per hour sprint i i know he's in the gym because if i'm walking in i can hear his treadmill it's just when you look over he's just fucking like because if I'm walking in, I can hear his treadmill. It's just a whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:28:06 When you look over, he's just fucking like Will Smith and I Am Legend just going crazy. Oh, you guys are at the same gym. Yeah. Yeah. I love I Am Legend workout seats. Dude, I mean. That is a great movie. Him doing pull-ups.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Running with the dog, though. I mean, that's a dream moment. Yeah. You have a treadmill for your dog, too? I should get one. That'd be sick. Yeah. She'd love it.
Starting point is 00:28:30 She loves to run. Actually, you you know she loves to get chased so if she gets in front i'll just chase her just be continuous yeah this was the ideal workout setup in the house nobody bothered you bad i didn't realize form pull-ups yeah he's going behind the head and he's not getting much range of motion yeah he uh that's just a different pull up he's doing well he just performed at the beat those aren't i mean i guess this is just a photo but those are just for more rear delt focus dude good shout do you do these for rear delts the rope pullbacks sometimes but not really i can't get them i don't know what's going on really pull we gotta squinch so it's really just at that back point like really squeezing the scapula did you say squinch you gotta squinch him i knew what he meant what two words might put it together what's a squinch it's a squeeze and a pinch okay it's a
Starting point is 00:29:16 squinch well i like you know that's good for cooking is this is this a squinch that's a squinch or i think more up is a squinch yeah Yeah, you want to pull. I think it's a... Yeah. I feel like that's the kind of thing where you have to add in like a... Yep. Yeah. Yeah. Yep.
Starting point is 00:29:32 I think you squinch your butthole when you don't want to poop when you're in public or something. When's the last time you shit your pants? Seventh grade. Never forget. That's a good run. You had a good run. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:43 When's the last time y'all shit your pants last night after i have two magic minds that's the magic yeah i didn't tell you about that part every morning have a coffee because then you're setting the bar low like the day can't get worse than that right with pain will come pleasure yeah yeah i can't remember last time uh i mean for sure in high school is there anything you know that was like that was like next level yeah it was my sister in law's grandma's quilt oh wow yeah my brother he's 12 years older so i was staying in new york got that was when i partied hard i got hammered i've told this story many times and uh got hammered woke up and he's like he he was so worried about me dying that he slept in the same bed with me it was in his apartment he's like you shit the bed and um like i know i messed up he's like no no you
Starting point is 00:30:48 you shit the bed they're like dude and then afterwards he calls me up he's like my wife is beside herself and yeah it was intense beside herself is mad beside yes that dude on the train was beside himself he was beside himself i feel like beside himself is is a very white guy thing oh right i'm just oh buddy i am beside myself and it's so innocent sounding it doesn't sound threatening you're beside yourself yeah well it's more of like a i'm disappointed right sentiment where it's like it's like he's he's so mad that he's like you failed me as a younger brother but you couldn't help it you were sleeping you shit your pants no one's more beside yourself than you good call maybe i should tell him that yeah
Starting point is 00:31:33 yeah i'm just seeing that you have a birdhouse deck behind you yeah dude tony uh we actually this is from tony hawk pro skater dude wow. We were promoting the game. I wish I would have. Is it signed? I think so. It's taped to the wall. But the other side is signed. I was at the X Games two days ago and I didn't have anything for him to sign again. We just talked about this.
Starting point is 00:31:57 We had just talked about this. I know, but I was like, I don't know what to have him sign. The N64 blue cartridge game. I don't have one of those. No, but eBay. I know, but it just all happened so fast. Wow, that would be safe. Right?
Starting point is 00:32:11 That's the one. That would be next. How cool of a town is Ventura? I want to move there. I like Ventura. It's like, it's close to LA, but far enough that you feel like you're in a completely different place.
Starting point is 00:32:22 And it's a little crunchier than Orange County too, which I like. It's a lot more, yeah, it's a lot more mellow. Wait, where are you from? But you're from? I grew up in Venice. Oh, you grew up in Venice? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Oh, for some reason I thought you were a little more North. Did you go to Oaks Christian though, or? No, no, no, no. I went to high school in Sherman Oaks. Ah, okay. So Oaks in there. That's where I got confused. The Oaks, Close. Still Oaks in there. That's why I got confused. The Oaks, yes.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Yeah. Yeah. Where did you grow up, Christian? In the Valley. In the Valley. I was born in Chicago, but I moved here when I was a kid. Right, right, right. Jimmy, last time we talked about having you on the podcast, you were pretty fired up.
Starting point is 00:32:59 You had a beef. Oh, shit. Who were you beefing with? The Tetris movie. Oh. Oh. I thought it was good yeah no i i uh i do remember that yeah that was when i was uh did i talk about that on the pod no we were like we were dming about it you're like i want to talk about this that's my beef and then it was like uh it was it was just my beef was with it's with biopics it's with it's with biopics enough enough you know let's all at least let the story happen you know you see all these stories you mean let the
Starting point is 00:33:36 person die let maybe but like tetris you know whatever it's that's not even a person is it a movie well yeah that doesn't need to be a movie air had just come out too there was the bar there was a lot of product movies but like my issue it started with the flaming hot thing it started with people like when stories weren't even done happening and then they'd acquire the rights and then they'd like do a movie on it and it's like dude it's still happening you beefing with tetris is pretty funny but it's not tetris it's biopics in general enough biopics but why the but i'm with you on tetris though like it was good did y'all see it no it was good it was actually good it was i didn't expect it to be but was the doritos movie good too the ava longoria one that one was wait that's a movie you mean didn't expect it to be. But was the Doritos movie good, too? The Ava Longoria one? That one was...
Starting point is 00:34:25 Wait. Ava Longoria? That's a movie? You mean Hot Cheeto? The hot Flamin' Hot? Yeah. Ava Longoria's not in that? She directed it, I think.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Oh, that was pretty good. It was casual. It's an easy watch. Yeah. Anti. I'm not an anti. I am. You're anti Flamin' Hot?
Starting point is 00:34:39 Flamin' Hot, anti fucking Tetris. Those aren't even people. Anti WeWork, anti the dropWork, anti-the dropout. It mentions the Reagan administration. Let me ask you this. It says the Reagan administration right there. Wait, what? In the Flaming Hot movie.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Oh, they're trying to paint a scene for you? Jim, okay, biopic comes out. It's the Rubik's Cube biopic. No. Hold on. Do you want to see it? No. Oh, I don't believe that documentary sure what that's
Starting point is 00:35:08 what i was that's just a less fun biopic who's gonna play the cube does it matter somebody andy circus somebody who's gonna do the voice of the rubik's cube fucking keith david i don't know oh he's got a good voice i like his voice enough he'd save his voice is the best yeah you know what's great you know what's crazy is that lionsgate just got the rights to the hawk to a movie stop playing yeah that sounds about right where are you kidding no no dude you're serious i'm serious this is exactly what i'm talking about yeah what are you kidding we fucking believed him and that's the problem i'd watch that biopic i'd watch that biopic how she came up with it i don't know i feel like the twist would be she's never hawked to it i can just see the trailer being like i just feel like i'm destined for more
Starting point is 00:35:54 i got something in me i gotta get it out it sounds like the most anticlimactic movie of all time it all builds up to a video that everyone has seen get me all fired up about biopics man i've had enough are there any biopics you like um these are like consumer biopics though it's like about products yeah i think it's not like muhammad ali i think like people deserve like like there's a jerry garcia biopic coming out that feels warranted like jerry garcia enough time has passed that it's like a good moment to remind the younger generation of the impact when you do a biopic prematurely it's like
Starting point is 00:36:32 it's almost like you're just i feel like a biopic right the hype of the thing should happen and then it should fade and everyone should forget about it and then the biopic years later should be like hey everybody don't forget about this thing that happened because this was crazy. This is just everyone being just capitalizing on anything they can and being not creative enough to think of their own ideas. So something crazy happens and then they go get the fucking rights, get the rights, get the rights. And they don't have an idea. How do you guys feel about the Michael Jackson biopic coming out coming out that shit's coming out yeah is there a trailer his nephew's playing him which one dante or randy uh he's like seven nephews far oh jafar this is your brother
Starting point is 00:37:15 yeah i was i was cool with his nephews back in the day in high school oh really the same age as me and jimmy can they dance i i don't know I think I would have been okay with this one had it not been in this oversaturation of biopics. Right, right, right. I think maybe this is one of the ones that I think could have been deserved. Go ahead. I don't think you can do the Michael Jackson biopic
Starting point is 00:37:42 with his family involved. Is it? Okay, so yeah, is that one too soon? I think it's too close. Too close. Like, if his family's involved, you're not going to get the full Michael Jackson story. Right, right. Yeah, I didn't get any auditions to play Jimmy from See Me, which is weird.
Starting point is 00:38:03 That's a character in there? That's crazy. do you watch the documentary oh yeah oh my god that's you're fucked up you're fucked up you're fucked they said i was too old well there's um the bob marley movie came out i feel like a lot of them get passed over like people just don't that one i think should have been big that one should i didn't see it yet but i didn't like i couldn't handle that movie sucking that would suck yeah sometimes i'm like if this sucks i'm gonna be upset yeah and that that's one of the ones that one should have like you said that one deserved to and also i think now it would have been a good
Starting point is 00:38:39 time for it yeah but it's just another biopic coming out yeah yeah but i i'm i'm down with biopics about like things like tetris or if there was like a mcrib biopic or like in and out i would watch that like i don't you know it's not one person i think all the in and out owners the original team died in a private jet accident they were in the jet stream of a bigger uh commercial jet conspiracy really yeah wow sounds like it was kind of planned oh yeah wow orange county so who's running in and out now that would be interesting a burger dynasty damn big burger the founder was good do you guys watch the founder great movie yeah donald yeah yeah i love that one yeah you hate that one too damn if you had to move would you move to another country ever i would yeah would you you travel i travel yeah i i think i would move to uh i really like the vibe in amsterdam like I think I could spend a lot of time.
Starting point is 00:39:46 I could spend a lot of time there. People are going to hear that and think that means you like drugs and whores. It's yeah, but it's, it's, it's not, I mean like, uh,
Starting point is 00:39:55 it's just the vibe in the city is just, it's just nice. Everyone's like, I just like the energy there. Are there a lot of drugs and whores there? I haven't been. I think when you're, see for people who haven't been there like me that's like the stereotypical first thought yeah the red light district sounds kind of cool but i would i would bet on even like
Starting point is 00:40:16 vegas is like this but i'm not trying to comp them like vegas is actually like a cool city beyond the strip but no one ever thinks about that they just think about the red light district is uh it is so aggressive i don't know if you've walked down it but like because like everybody who goes you walk down you're like wow this is this is crazy there's just like you know women in windows and they're not like subtle you know they're like they're what you're walking by and they're like you're like oh my they're slapping snatch just slapping like going like this oh my god that's aggressive yeah that's yeah that would that be it for you yeah that'd be oh we lost over there one slap one slap i'm like take all my money
Starting point is 00:40:56 we were walking down and i felt like banging the window and jesus christ get in here and pray for sex but the part that you grokked with with amstram is just the the general vibe of the people it's just like everyone there is nice it's all bikes there's more bikes than people uh there's like beautiful museums uh it just feels safe and clean and like everyone's in a good you're walking around it's like a thursday i mean this is everyone in europe where it's like a thursday and uh it's like 10 a.m and people are just drinking and you're like what do you do for work love that what is your source of income they don't work to live they live they don't live to work they work to live that's the difference exactly fire i'm with that it's like spain they uh they're they're there to
Starting point is 00:41:46 enjoy themselves yeah unlike china have you been there i have what's it like opposite of that they live to work so we're kind of in the middle we are yeah we're usa to work for sure do you guys feel like you live to work for sure do you guys feel like you live to work some kind of sometimes but like i think when you really enjoy when you love what you do that's the thing it's like creating it's like to me there's no greater joy right i love it it's so much fun that it's it's like live to work but it's like a privilege right like if i had free time i would choose to do my job sometimes which is because it's just like i just love yeah writing i love you know it's tough to turn it off yeah right you're like i'm there's some days where i'm like it'll be like a sunday
Starting point is 00:42:38 i should chill but then just my mind i'll be like oh i'll just edit yeah that's but that could be chill yeah you know you're not like as long as you're not getting worked up while you're doing it no it's just it's just fun yeah exactly it's making especially comedy it's making you laugh and it's someone did bring up a wasn't the machine technically a biopic which is you know damn a fair point damn that is a am i in a biopic yeah yeah absolutely is that what started you give me enough money i'll do another you guys having callers call in today yeah should we do that are you ready that was so much fun last time i barely remember but i remember it was fun
Starting point is 00:43:19 there's a guy with huge nuts who called him last time oh yeah super long nuts long long and big nuts i have very long nuts did you do you have good nuts thank you one question i don't know if you can get into it but i did see that you were shredding with the beebs oh yeah can you talk can he shred can he shred yeah he can shred that Yeah. He can shred. That's sick. He's pretty good. He's shredding. Snowboarding. Snowboarding. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Dude, I love the Biebs, dude. Yeah. He's a chill guy. He seems chill. He seems chill. He can rip. There he goes. He likes the trees.
Starting point is 00:43:59 I think he's one of the best musicians of my lifetime. Were you nervous to shred around beeps i mean sean white was there too so i'm more nervous to shred around sean right yeah yeah you know does sean like does he give you like a we'll be like give you an eye i'd be like dude that wasn't that sick no no he won't do that but he will give you a nod if something was sick which is oh that's gotta feel good work for that does he give pointers dude he did he was he he gave me some pointers like one of the first times we went because i was trying to like do a 360 off this thing and i like i was like i don't know he's like dude just you know just do this this and this and then i did it again i got closer and
Starting point is 00:44:43 he was like no like this and then i did i did it again. I got closer. And he was like, no, like this. And then I did it. I landed it. I landed like a back three. And he was like, fuck yeah, dude. That's sick. That's cool. That's awesome. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:54 I remember when Sean White was like six, the WB used to do interstitial little profiles of people in between Batman and Recess. And Sean White was one of them. He was like seven-year-old his one state title and snowboarding and skate yeah nice to be on those a lot too back in the day nice on some kids network being like this kid's crazy we had long loss back in the day so sick remember that Sports Illustrated for kids cover with with Tony and Sean doing doing like the doubles oh yeah yeah synchronized
Starting point is 00:45:27 skateboarding sick they should yeah i missed that actually it looks beautiful it looks so cool when you know one guy does a little grind the other guy does something over him yeah and just knowing they had to practice that and like get it down it's that one iconic mike mike shreds mike tornabene yeah he does he's gotten really I mean he was always good I guess but then he just got really good he'll post he'll post clips of him skating just like at like uh I'll be like holy fuck yeah he's not he's doing things that I'm like that's not casual yeah yeah he's good like I didn't know he skated at first and all of a sudden he like posted he like tray flipped like a like an eight stair I was like that's like a that's a big deal yeah i think that was like his thing like for most of his life
Starting point is 00:46:08 until he went to film school he doesn't he he's bigger than you usually see like you don't usually see skaters that are like that jack right you got to move all that shit around yeah because the board is small right yeah yeah watching mike skate makes me want to get back into skating because you're you're like seeing another guy that jacked right yeah you know it's possible yeah i'm gonna do roids yeah i'm gonna start skating they get jacked up on roids and get back into skateboarding that's what happens to every 30 year old yeah yeah all right must be in his 30s. They always just get jacked up on roids.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Babe, check it out. Do girls have an equivalent? Do girls have like a mid, not mid, because it's not midlife, like a 30s crisis where they start doing some shit they weren't doing before? Good question. Probably not. The Hawk Tua. Hawk Tua.
Starting point is 00:46:59 I'm going to start spitting on dicks again. Jake, let's call some people. Starting point is 00:49:10 Let's go. Hello. Hey, what's up, man? How's it going? Damn. How's it going, guys? What up? Just chilling, dude.
Starting point is 00:49:19 You're here with the... Don and Aldis. What up, dude? Oh, dude. Oh, yeah. Who are we talking to? I hope you guys are having a good day. You too, brother. What's What up, dude? Oh, dude. Oh, yeah. Who are we talking to? I hope you guys are having a good day. You too, brother.
Starting point is 00:49:28 What's your question, dude? Well, I guess it's probably more of a story. I sent it in a couple weeks ago, I think, and now it's kind of in hindsight. So, I mean, I'm down to still talk if you want to hear it, but I know y'all are looking for questions. Let's pretend like you're still in the middle of it all right all right um so i guess uh i'm a i'm a mid-20s dude as uh probably 80 percent of your listeners are at this point but uh yeah so i've been on the apps you you know, I do Tinder and I do Hinge. And so it's kind of just dating in this day and age, I guess.
Starting point is 00:50:15 But I also, I live in a town that doesn't have that many people. We have a population of less than 100,000. So inevitably when you're swiping, you know you uh might swipe on a couple of people that are friends with each other okay yeah so i guess uh there is a there's a point where i had matched with one person i'm gonna try to make this are you piping your boy's ex? No, no, no. I'm a respectful gentleman. I love my boys more than I love my girls. Okay, okay. That's a different thing.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Yeah, so I guess there's one time where I had swiped and matched with one girl. And I'm going to be honest wasn't wasn't that into it so i didn't really say anything it was just kind of uh playing the game of hot or not i guess yeah it's got a little ego boost real quick well you know like i said you know i'm a respectful guy i like to not do the ghost but is it really ghosting if you didn't even speak in the first place wait so what's the issue so so the issue was then she sent a message and i wasn't that into it so i didn't really respond but then fast forward like a month and i'm swiping you know again and uh matched with this other girl who um I didn't reach out to and uh she didn't reach out back at first so I just continued on and
Starting point is 00:51:55 kept doing my thing and then eventually swiped on another person who I did match with and did talk to and the conversations were going all right and everything but then uh so this is just normal life this is just normal life until girl b then decides to respond and those chats start going off and it wasn't long before I realized that girl b and girl c were actually frenzy with each other but both of them are kind of delivering some pretty fire convo. So I was feeling a little messy there. How'd you find out they were friends? Because, you know, just chatting, you know,
Starting point is 00:52:34 talking about places around the town and then. And just to be clear, you're just talking to both of them. This is just conversations. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I'll also, I'll add this note that I never met any of them. This is all yeah we're okay yeah i'll also i'll add this note that i never met any of them this is all just text in here at this point i think we can move on to the
Starting point is 00:52:50 next uh question what's the issue is there a twist talking to two girls at once that's fire but bro yeah you haven't met up with either of them but it is fire but it wasn't long until after that that i then realized that uh the girl A that I didn't end up responding to back then ended up being the third girl in this friend group. So then I was effectively swiping and chatting with three at the same time. Like I said, this is a story in hindsight now, so I don't really have a question anymore. But I think you should hook up with all of them. You know, it sounds like a great idea, but all three of them are out of the game for this guy now.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Because you went for all of them low-key, and now none of them want to talk to you because they shared notes, and they're like, nah, we can't do that. Well, the first girl was kind of out of it to begin with because i wasn't that into it but the two two and three i was pretty into and i think they connected the dots between the time i texted and then now so uh they're probably hanging out and talking about that dude from tinder nut gargler 6969 is roasting you saying oh for three yeah i was about to compliment his username too to you guys but i'm glad i did it yeah dude
Starting point is 00:54:13 nut gargler's on your ass dude oh man nut gargler get off my ass well i i think uh that was uh quite anticlimactic. Next time, make a choice, dude. Just shoot. Yeah, I don't know, man. Yeah, I mean, I prepped it. I said this was kind of a non-question
Starting point is 00:54:36 and more of a story in the hindsight. Now it felt more dramatic in the moment a few weeks ago, but... For sure. For sure. Yeah. But, yeah, big L l's but i appreciate you being vulnerable with us yeah yeah just yeah man uh dude good talking yeah we'll talk to you later
Starting point is 00:54:56 jim what'd you think about that i was among the worst stories that ever happened. You know? Nothing happened. What was this story? I think he needs a biopic. Yeah, we need a biopic on this guy. Talked to three girls on Tinder. And they knew each other do you think he
Starting point is 00:55:27 burns uh a little too much yeah maybe too much he burned himself into indecision yeah yeah that's true like the story happened for him before the story happened yeah i think at that point just lie and make up a question he's very i hope this is one of those three girls now yeah we definitely didn't talk about them to each other yeah what up what's up dude christian jimmy just listen you guys in part of my take stoked for the movie. Fuck yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:07 How are you, man? Good. Sorry, this is weird. But, yeah, so I have kind of a situation at school. I'm in college. And we have, like, my school, it's not like frats or anything. It's kind of just, just like the social life is based around your dorm and so within our dorm like you know you have like each floor you know it's kind
Starting point is 00:56:31 of like a big group but we're kind of split like between right now we have a problem between like dudes who rage and dudes who like don't really rage and there's neither a problem like if you do or if you don't everything's like super chill and inclusive whatever no peer pressure but something you run into is like the guys who are less inclined to like rage sometimes how to kind of like you know get them to just try it every once in a while or like even just like come out like not they don't even have to drink or smoke you know just like some dudes tend to just stay in and that's like chill everybody can do whatever they want but i guess how do you kind of like
Starting point is 00:57:11 maybe help somebody come out of their comfort zone try something do these people seem like they would be want to come out of that comfort zone like are they curious about raging or are they just hermits yeah i think and then like they'll do it every once in a while. And then like, it seems like they have fun. And it's like, we're all like kind of nerds, like it's a decent school. So it's not like we're doing this that often, but like. I think you need to take decision-making off the table for these people you're talking about. I think if you're trying to get, you know, one of these friends of yours to come out of their shell instead of saying hey do you want to do this
Starting point is 00:57:51 tonight you just say this is the plan be ready at this time i'm picking you up we're going to this thing you don't have a say in the matter you're coming out we're doing this there you go non-consensual raging i like that because then they'll do it and it's more likely than not they'll have fun and some of these guys they want they want you to do this they just they don't want to be the one that's saying let's go do this right they want to be like i don't know and then you to go come on yeah we need you out there yeah but any time you leave like uh planning up to them like yeah what do we want to do do we want to do this do we want to do this they're going to start twiddling their thumbs and thinking like i don't want to go out and these you know i think the best
Starting point is 00:58:39 thing you can do as a friend here is force this friend to come out i think he's right and also i'll add something that you can have an objective. Like I think drinking games are a great way to get people to come out because there's an objective. It's not just like, oh, we're going to drink. We don't know what's going to happen. There's a game. We're one guy short.
Starting point is 00:58:53 We need you to help us win. This is how the game goes down. If you guys are smart guys, I'm sure you're like problem solvers. This is the game. These are the rules. Can you come help us win this thing? It might be incentivized
Starting point is 00:59:03 because they have a role now. You play a lot mario kart fire i'll smoke you like video cards and dudes always like tend to like that so that's a great call your car it's hard to play probably for a new guy though that shit's tough in the esophagus yeah yeah as someone who's played with you it's hard i'd love to have a friend who just brought me out who just made plans and forced me out on the town it's nice yeah do you have a friend like that oh yeah and if you have like if you get in trouble with your lady or something you blame your friend dude i was home kicking it he came so we don't have a choice that's what a lot of people want is they don't want to feel like they're culpable for whatever happens right like i'm the guy i can be swayed you know i i'll
Starting point is 00:59:43 be at home very content. Someone will say, come out. No, I don't really want to. But if you make a strong case, I can be swayed. What makes it a strong case? Like persistence. Also, if it's like a cool thing. If it's like, hey, we have tickets to this concert.
Starting point is 01:00:06 This one has your name on it. And then you you're like if you don't have anything else if you don't have a strong reason to not go it's kind of hard to argue you know if they're like for the plot you're doing you're at home yeah you're like yeah but like i like this i want to be at home and they're like don't be don't be like this yeah okay it's's like tossing someone in an ice bath. They're not going to want to do it. Right. You just put them in there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:29 They're going to be so stoked after. Yeah. Yeah. Just get them in. That's a good metaphor. Does that help? Yeah, totally. Thank you, guys.
Starting point is 01:00:40 All right. Well, good luck out there, brother. Yeah. Thanks, guys. Have a good one. See you, dude. That was better. That was much better lots of energy that one went much better got to the point fast the first one so i didn't talk to her got another match we talked he was just flexing his
Starting point is 01:01:00 matches yeah yeah that happens a lot we're we're doing shows in san diego this weekend and this one guy what was the one guy bragging this one guy i was talking about he's like two guys in a row one guy said um i have a problem the problem is my neighbor keeps coming knocking on my window and wanting to have sex how do i get out of it and we were like not really a problem and then um yeah like i think you just wanted to tell us that your neighbor is trying to have sex exactly and he's like yeah she's pretty she's cool it's just she's pretty she's cool i'm just having so much sex it's hard for me to allocate time for her super successful yeah and then the next guy was like i'm dating a girl who's dated guys i'm i'm sleeping with this girl but she has a weird past she used to date guys who
Starting point is 01:01:45 are five to ten years older than her yeah it's fucked up man that's crazy can't get past that one can't get over that i would escort to have security escort those guys out like start a thing and people know if you come in my fucking show and you try to flex security will escort you he was like she dated she used to date older dudes we're like how much older he's like five to ten years yeah you guys are you guys are very patient you know i would have you know ended that call after one minute well let's think the stokers mostly are just having too much sex we're trying to it's a good problem trying to tamp it down yeah we're like hey man you should probably like take a day off but every time you brag about it you got to take two to three bodies off your list your total score oh good call yeah it's never cool to brag about getting laid huh no unless it's like you just met someone you're fired up about yeah like
Starting point is 01:02:35 yeah no it's love's connected to a person yeah yeah yeah that would be funny yeah i fucked last night like okay well yeah you're married that's your wife yeah i had sex with my wife yeah yeah she comes back sex with my wife you guys wouldn't believe it we don't fuck sorry i'm late i had sex with my wife last night we went back to you guys all know right yeah yeah you don't know they're just a flag i do have to be out of here in like five to ten this will be the last one better be good i think i saw this one i think this one was objectively juicy i also was reminded i haven't i have a beef of the week if uh we haven't already covered that on top of biopics yeah yeah biopics was last time dude dude. All right. All right. Wait, when did we discuss?
Starting point is 01:03:26 Long time ago. The biopics was a long time ago. Like 2021. Is this person serious? Wait, was this the guy with the wife? The beef. Oh, yeah. We got to get him on here. Do your beef real quick and we'll see if we can catch him afterwards.
Starting point is 01:03:38 My beef? What's your beef, Jimmy? I was reminded by Christian saying bodies about lingo that i don't like um it's giving what i think it's giving is great let's close the book on it's giving no no no no no let's end it's giving well so what's your issue show me the car facts. Just shut up. Oh my God. It's giving. Like, dude, it's such a cop out of things to say. Also, when people say POV and it's not a fucking POV, you know, and they're like, POV, you did this and it's just a video of them that it's not even their POV.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Fuck that. And fuck it's giving. What's wrong with it's giving? I'm over it's giving. People just say it's giving i'm over it's giving people just say it way too much what about glazing glazing i'm over too glazing like something people like you're glazing so if you're like steph curry's the best shooter of all time they're like quit glazing i'm over the way i you know people say that the way i the way i don't care wait so why do you like it's giving i just it's giving like get off my lawn
Starting point is 01:04:50 old guy i like it's giving i think it's so when you're doing it it's giving cool see oh what a nice guy jt no but i mean that it does work for you it's giving frustrated i could see it not do you want to try it take it for a walk and let's see if it works for you uh it's giving like like what am i talking about what's getting the first call yeah what's the setup first call um it's giving non-issue that's pretty good yeah that was good that worked good job stupid i know you like that i almost threw up in my mouth i know i know you like them a little bit it's giving i could i could compliment you with it it's giving if you want when i was saying you're good and it's giving it was giving
Starting point is 01:05:34 glaze oh yeah do you ever think about smushing them all together it's the way i am giving glaze glaze seems like just reminds me of like skating i think that's why they mean yeah it's like the person's jizzing on your face i think oh got it nice yeah it could be like dude jimmy your outfit is it's giving mature but still cool as fuck that works well dude i've really been swayed fuck you make a strong point what about the ones that are gone did you like it hits different i didn't mind it hits different i didn't i liked it too i liked hits diff i think it hits different still in there like it's just like not as hot but i think it's you can use it whenever i think that
Starting point is 01:06:19 one will stand the test in time i think so too yeah what about no homo no we got to get rid of no homo it was brutal from the start no ditties away what about what about saying something is crazy that's getting old for me like it's funny like ironically now but i think like if you use it like seriously to say something is crazy no like that's crazy when you like give it the emphasis on like the a part like someone will say like a funny phrase like um like that guy being like tinder and three girls who are the same friends is crazy yeah oh it's just like adding a couple a's yeah like doing that it's just like it's pointing out how ridiculous i can't remove the word crazy from my vocabulary sometimes no but it's not like things are simply crazy and you just need to say that that's crazy right that's it but that's crazy what about saying that is
Starting point is 01:07:11 crazy what about another tough watch bro thanks have you seen that one which one no what's that it's like good cringe oh another tough watch is a compliment yeah really watch i think it's good cringe good cringe is nice that sounds like a good we should make that one it's like it's like it's like nathan for you is like a tough watch thank you thank you nathan that's hard is it hard yeah i like that this i mean that's like normal but it has a whole other meaning oh no no well talk dude my dad's is it is it hard my dad's funny he would like incorporate our slang as we were growing up that's funny like my dad would be like i'd do something kind of lame but i'd be like talk about d-bag and i'd, but I'd be like, talk about D-bag.
Starting point is 01:08:07 And I'd get mad. I'd be like, shut up, it sounds stupid for me. Yeah, this new deal is making me hella moolah. All right, are we out of time? We didn't find that guy? Yeah, did we get the guy? I didn't get that guy, I got one more. All right.
Starting point is 01:08:18 Is it good, though? We'll find out. Yeah, let's find out. Do you guys have more stuff? Are you doing another one today? that yeah san diego oh well just only know because ray mysterio and reggie bush right hello what's your question oh what's up yes sir sorry we got to jump to a quick we're on the clock yeah uh no worries um i wanted to ask, I had a different question, but lately I've been feeling unfulfilled with work.
Starting point is 01:08:51 You guys are going to laugh, but I work in sales. So when you guys are in a rush, is there anything that you guys have kind of in your back pocket to pull yourself out of this or things to kind of get your back pocket to pull yourself out of this or you know things to kind of get you out of that funk this is a rut you feel every day yeah no it's like it comes and goes you know low moods high moods do you spend time doing things you love when you're not working i like to skateboard i'll do that um i'll go to the beach but sometimes too it's like uh not feeling present when you're doing that like i'm just still thinking of deals like
Starting point is 01:09:37 work like just kind of just stress more than anything i like to read sad short stories because i think people feel bad for feeling sad so then when you read something sad it puts you in touch with the sadness in a way that's liberating you realize that it's always there everyone has it and then it's not the worst thing in the world to carry it with you as long as you're in touch with it and you can juggle it with other things like happiness it's just part of life and then if the sadness is still too much even after you've connected it to art then you realize you need to make a change and probably quit your job but that's beyond my pay grade to suggest that for you what do you think yeah like it yeah we're like uh i mean when i get the deal
Starting point is 01:10:21 it hits good you know it's like kind of like a dopamine bandaid. And it's like, all right, like this job, nothing. But then it just goes away. And right. You know, like achievement, other parts of my life. Yeah, I would say just do just try to find things that give you more of a lasting feeling of fulfillment that are outside of your job. You know, it's a lot of times when you're feeling in a rut you might realize you haven't done things that make you happy in a long time and the older you get the more you have to make a conscious effort to actually do the things that make you happy and actually see the people
Starting point is 01:10:57 that make you happy yep and it's easy the older you get to get busy and kind of forget to do those things and forget to make time with your friends that uh bring you laughs and stuff like that um and a lot of times when i'm feeling down i'll realize you know i haven't oh i haven't i haven't played basketball in a long time or i haven't i haven't like hung out with this certain friend in a long time so just trying to yeah it takes effort and schedule those things like hit up your two or three best friends and be like yo in a week from today or two weeks on this date, you want to go grab a drink or grab food?
Starting point is 01:11:28 Just carve out time to do nothing but just have a good time with people you have a good time around. Like Jim said, make the effort of making that shit happen. It is true, too. The older you get, the more sweat you got to put into making that stuff happen. 100%. It was worth it. You don't want to be like i i pinned myself i
Starting point is 01:11:46 pigeonholed myself it's like oh like they won't think of me like i haven't spoken to them in like a year but i know very well they could be doing the same thing exactly um to that point i've also i i reached out to two old colleagues that i used like old sales homies and uh we're actually getting beers tomorrow because i was just like guys it is good to know I'm on the right track and you know I like a big fan of the pod you too Jimmy and Christian I think that's you so I appreciate the advice I think this is a actionable stuff I could work into my day very very easily um the meeting i just got off of went well though so you're on a heater right now you sound very close to balance i like i love the show saturday too by the way i was there oh legend oh thanks man thanks for coming
Starting point is 01:12:40 out yeah very good um well hey i know you guys had to go i also had to i have to jump i got my inbox piling up but okay for sure um i think it's you know i think sometimes we just lose sight of what's like easiest and the most beneficial for us so i appreciate it and i hope you guys have a good rest of the week nice sign off by him i'm also noticing that uh we got uh our boy from the first call is uh made an account to uh to tap in and say this is the first call i made an account to comment my bad i got nervous hey biff mystery it's all good we're good guys thank you guys for coming doing the pod oh it's good to see you guys so good to see you guys so real bros movie comes out july 5th july 5th so day after fourth of july guys such a smart

Starting point is 01:13:53 You can use that Roku. You can also just log on to the website if that's easier for you. Yeah. But, yeah, the Roku City is going to be – they're adding some trucks in, I believe, into Roku City. I can't wait. Dude, Kotico smiles so funny. He does a great face.
Starting point is 01:14:09 He does it perfect. Awesome. Thanks for having us, guys. Thanks for coming in. Yeah. Later, bros.
