His energy, his physicality, literally left us too soon, which you know, so he's imprinted in our mind in his prime and it's just, yeah he's a beast man. One of my favorite things, not even any of his movies,

I think it was the letterman appearing appearance where he like grabbed a fan and threw him in the trash. Oh, yeah Oh when he comes out, yeah Yeah, he comes out crazy and they grabs a fan. He takes him backstage and puts him in the dumpster Do no one plays angry better than Farley. Or like, oh, his yell is, his stage yell is so good. And then the flip from angry into being sweet. Yeah. Both were so believable. And his athleticism in the Chip and Dale sketch,

which is one of the greatest sketches of all time. He's like, he moves so unbelievably well. So funny, so athletic. It's a big part of it. Yeah, Matt Foley, probably my favorite character of all time in A Van Down by the River. Probably the best character of all time. And you know, the best comic actors are good in the lead role and in supporting roles,

and I remember both of those for him equally well. Like he could be the main character in your movie. He had enough heart, enough depth, enough like leading man quality. But then like, he could be in something like dirty work and just pop in for like five minutes could be the main character in your movie. He had enough heart, enough depth, enough leading man quality. You know what I mean, so Black sheep almost heroes. Yeah, most heroes is fun, but Tommy boy is the classic Tommy boys the best It's so funny You know it's again good heart. Yeah good story What's the sweetness he had is like even when he was angry there's he had he just oozed like a warmth that I think was was huge. Yep. For him. Yeah he's one of the funniest. Great number one pick. We all love him. Alright so I'm going to number two pick overall in the draft. I Hate to do this to Strider this is his hero. I don't even know if Shire was gonna pick this guy

I Love this guy so much similar to Chris Farley funny in the lead, funny in support, a huge body of work and just pure, pure funny. Like you just look at him and you're laughing. And dude, if he has his shirt off, it's over. And it's funny because he's like a good looking dude, but there's just something hilarious

about the way he moves through the world. I'm going Will Ferrell. Yeah, it's hard to argue with that. I love him. I mean, old school, he had that run, old school. I mean, old school, him and old school. I think that's still the best movie of that era as far as comedies. Yep. Did Wedding Crashers? Wedding Crashers, Anchorman, Step Brothers, Elf. Elf is incredible.

Well then just him as an SNL sketch performer. He's probably the best sketch performer that the show's ever had. Dude, the campaign. He's really funny in that too, sorry. Step Brothers. What are we saying about his music? His musicality's incredible.

Oh, my leg, speaking to, his commitment, dude. They would say on SNL, writers would, he would commit to everything unquestionably. In his groundedness, he brings to have something absurd is great and almost unparalleled. He's the best. Mugatu as the villain in Zoolander, great. Yeah, the chat likes it.

I am sad, that's my guy. You're my boy But this next guy I'm happy to have him He's an icon. He's a live-action Cartoon the guys is straight up good-ass Motherfucking actor has some of the most iconic roles of all time and you watch him as a young child There's roles this guy does that if you put another actor in, it doesn't work. This guy makes stuff that shouldn't work, work.

Jim Carrey. Oh man. He's unbelievable. His face is putty. Incredible. Yeah, these are all first round guys. He's amazing, dude. He's Canadian, coming in here, getting it done.

You know, he's got a darkness to him in his later years. It's just, he's unreal, dude. Yeah, he's like... He's truly unreal. He's like, look, if you think money will make you happy, it won't. I'm like, then give it away. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Then go live in a hut in the middle of Saskatchewan or whatever, dude.

I mean, Ace Ventura, me, myself, and Irene when I was a kid, I watched that movie like a hundred times. It's great. It's one of the best performances I was a kid, I watched that movie like 100 times. It's great. It's one of the best performances I've ever seen. I think it might be his best. I think it didn't get that credit because he was already so established, but I don't know, the turns he makes in that movie

are insane. Yeah, I mean, Ace Ventura too, like they, I think they, when they wrote it and the director, they had a completely different idea for the character and he just brought something totally new and they didn't think it was gonna work. Yeah, but we're not talking about that, but it's But it's interesting that he's got this guy can act It's not that in and there's another comedic actor who might be on here who can also do the drama And you know this that happens in all these Chris these Chris Farley never got the chance to do it

Will Ferrell's try to do it not as great, but Carrie the guy can bring it dramatic What about what about cable guy ahead of its time funny movie? Yeah ahead of its time. It's so good, dude Yeah, you know what's kind of interesting about Carrie Tuesday like he's his voice here. Yeah, like Will Ferrell has Adam McKay. That's his like Uh, Jim Carrey doesn't really have that he's worked with a lot. He's worked with the Fairly brothers He's he's worked with ben stiller from cable guys. It's unreal, dude He's getting kick ass. And so what what was his? It started to dip with what like Bruce Almighty. That's when we were like, yeah when he was doing those Yes, man, maybe it started with yes, man, even though that's not a terrible movie. Bruce Almighty is not terrible

He's still relevant today. He's still crushing it today. I think he's one of the biggest names in the past 30 years He's always funny and he's he's charming. He I think he had the best part of the Oscars this year he and I'm gonna go Adam Sandler Yeah, he was up there for me I I mean that run of Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, I love Big Daddy. Yeah, those are all great. Those are some of the first movies that got me into comedy movies and shit. Yeah, I mean Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, probably my two favorite movies growing up.

Yeah, back to back incredible. His anger is so funny. Yes. I love Big Daddy. And you know, he's, he went kind of the route of punchline for a while, but he's emerged victorious and on top, uncut gems, a punch drunk love. Good movie. I mean, he's a great actor on top of that.

And I think he's just such great actor on top of that. And I think he's just such a beloved icon in the culture. Yeah. He's the everyman and he's a good dude. So. You know what I always noticed like with Sandler movies is like he would put his boys in it. I remember like first seeing that and I'm like,

oh, that's like Sandler's boy and he'd pop up in that. And you're like, oh, he uses the same dudes. And I was always yeah, I'm like oh, that's like Sandler's boy and he'd pop up in that you're like Oh, he uses the same dudes and I was always like I liked that. Incredible run of movies in the 80s and 90s. He's still funny today. He has my favorite style of comedy. And I remember when I was starting comedy, I read his book, Born Standing Up.

And one thing I love about him is he talked about in the 70s how everyone, it was the Vietnam War, everyone was going negative. And he's like, why don't I go the opposite way? And why don't I do a different style of comedy where I believe he said there's no punchline and I just love Steve Martin. Yeah I like the pick in the sense that I like Steve Martin but as far as comedic actor goes what are we what are we referencing big with that as far as his

acting? I mean, The Jerk is my favorite. Okay, yeah, The Jerk. He's a great actor writer. Planes, trains, automobiles. Okay, yeah. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. The guy can do it all.

Roxanne, JT talks about his performance in that as being like... If you watch LA Story or Roxanne, which are the ones he wrote, they're genius. And there's nothing else like them. It's like, uh, you know what? I'll, it's the highest praise I can give a movie. They feel French as fuck. And you love French cuisine. Jazz.

He's like a accomplished playwright He's like an art connoisseur he plays dumb, but there's this thing where you're watching him where you can just tell he's got like a super computer for a brain

yeah, and there's something really aspirational about it, but but then also a My blue heaven the movie with another really good comic actor He just plays like a mobster in it, but he does it Steve Martin style and it's so funny and weird Yeah, he's got a lot of good movies and he Not to be braggy, but there was a moment in time where it was rumored that my mom was gonna go on a date with Well, yeah, okay. This is a genuine pick then I do believe you got ass. And then he wrote a novel, Shop Girl, that got turned into a movie it's dude it's a beautiful book he's he's he's crazy he's prolific he's crazy crazy talented he was born in Waco and I think he's I don't know sure he's kind of an OC guy yeah Garry Rose philosophy yeah he worked at Knott's Berry farm yeah yep yeah yeah doing like vaudeville shit no he's it's all of the C guys.
