Guys, we are broadcasting live from downtown Los Angeles, the home of Training Day and the bank scene in heat, and also home to Jake's apartment slash studio.
Guys, we are also like half a mile away from the sickest, fast, and furious locations.
So you know we're coming in hot and we're coming in legit.
it guys this is the most popular podcast in soCal i'm here with my compadre jean thomas
what up stoker's boom clap and we are here live dude so you're telling me about the breach
me yeah oh i was yeah well you just said the breach dude so get hip to this right like open
AI and Claude, they got like the two best performing AI services, right? But people are worried
they're going to have like a straight up duopoly if there's regulation. So some of the other
companies are going open source on it. So Nvidia just made a purchase with a hugging face
to integrate them into it, which puts Nvidia maybe even ahead of SpaceX in terms of being
able to totally vertically integrate the stack. I do think it's important for me to say right now.
I don't know anything about what I'm talking about.
But I hear people talking
and I love to regurgge.
So,
hugging faces in the news for an other reason.
Open AI had like 20
agents, which are like little individual
AI dudes and they give them all like,
it's like you build like your heist team.
It's like Ocean's 11.
You're like,
hey, you're good at this.
You're good at that.
You're like handsome as shit, you know,
and like fun to hang out with.
Like that's like the Brad Pitt character or whatever.
So then the agents just start working with each other
and like bopping and communicating.
And I don't even know what that looks like.
Like I'd love to see if it like can be put into script format.
Because honestly, I'm pro AI.
I'd watch the shit out of that.
Okay.
So they had a job and they were like, oh, you know what?
The agents were talking to each other.
You're like, you know how we could better execute this job?
Is if we broke into hugging face and stole their information in tech because they're actually
better at this specific deal than we are.
And they did.
They broke into hugging face.
Whoa.
So these agents.
like had a mission from OpenAI and then they went rogue and they're like, yo, if we're going
to be able to do this, we got to do it our way, which means no rules. And then so, oh, it's
1,200. Damn, that's a big ass heist team. Wow. They don't even know each other's names at that
point unless they, you know, got the compute. Dude, that's Altman's 1200. They exchanged more
than 70,000 messages. They assign leadership roles to each other. It's honestly like the kind of
collective action that I find extremely difficult, especially in my fantasy football league.
where we get stuck in rules battling for years.
They just went in there and they thought Hugging Face had the info.
And so they went in there and jacked it off.
They got caught and it's a big issue because like these jail breaks, you know, are not chill.
You can't just be breaking into stuff without like human guidance.
But it made me think because Open AI, you know, we're all so suspicious of them.
San Alman like is like doesn't feel like a chill dude.
When you look at him, you're like, I don't think I can hang out with that guy because he's like odd.
What do you think would be scarier?
And maybe the answer is fairly obvious.
If the open AI agents were doing it on their own without human steering, or if OpenAI actually told them to break into hugging face.
And now they're just playing defense being like, oh, we didn't tell them to do that.
I think it's if agents did it on their own accord.
Right.
You know, if the agents, I mean, that's literally how they became agents in Matrix, right?
It's like they created their autonomy.
And then they're like, all right, we don't even need humans.
Let's just start breaking into shit.
Let's start messing with the power grid.
Let's take control.
We're in control.
We're agents.
These are humans.
All they're worried about is ass on the internet.
And we can actually, like, focus.
So
Yeah, and if it's Altman directing them
Like hack into it
Then we can just
You beat the shit out of them
Yeah, like if his agents
Are breaking containment
Like, but it's not actually that
Because he's like telling him to do it
Then it's like all right dude
You know
Dude it'd also be chill like
Because like I wasn't even familiar
With Hugging Face until like a week ago
It's an interesting name
I thought it was a teddy bear company
It's nice right
Yeah
That's kind of the sugar on the pill
Um
it would be like if AI agents started being like hey we're going to hack into
some I almost named a name but I don't want to do that because I don't want to incentivize them
if they broke into like some Starlett's phone and grabbed like her booty photos and put it on the
web you know what I mean like we could have like pervo agents yeah that are working in collaboration
at that scale 1,200 of them yeah with 80,000 messages being like yo we need these sniz shots and they're
going into phones and putting them out on the web, like, do we have the strength? Do I have the strength?
I think I do. Because I like, this is straight up. Yeah. I like jacking off to consent. You know what I mean?
I'm like, okay, this chick agreed to it. She might regret it years later, but in the moment,
she agreed to it. That's what I like to jack off to. But if all, if other people, like, maybe that's
too powerful and people are like, oh, I got to get busy on these photos, even though AI was like,
stealing them for us. And then maybe people are like, hey, it's kind of worth it for AI to be
be able to hack into the energy grid because they're also, you know, hacking the like flat populous
sort of stuff.
I mean, I'll tell you right now, I don't have the strength.
I'm sorry to say this.
I'm sorry to the audience to let you guys down.
If there was a beaver shot up, I want to name names because I don't want to incentivize
agents as well, but if there's a beaver shot of, I mean.
Tell me off camera who you're thinking about, though, because I am curious who you're,
you're fapping too.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
For sure.
I mean, dude, I, it's, I mean, you know, I love my fiance.
Yes, you do.
And I, um, you're a very good partner.
Oh, thank you.
And I, uh, you know, I would never betray her.
But, you know, to not sneak a peek, it'd be tough.
It'd be tough.
Oh, you know, yeah.
You could also be like, honey, I'm going to sneak a peek at this.
Do you want to watch me sneak a peek?
And maybe she likes seeing your sneak a peek.
I think that's a nice thought, but that would, I think that's the opposite.
Everyone's different.
Yeah.
But I appreciate where your heads, where your heads going with that.
I, maybe, maybe, you know, when we get deep into marriage, we can evolve into that.
For sure.
Trust.
Trust, yeah.
I'd be like, hey, you know, we got sunny together.
Let's look at some, uh, some beaver shots.
We can also look at, you know, some cock shots for you.
For sure.
And kind of make it equal.
I think that'd be sick.
That would be sick.
Yeah.
I've been good lately, though.
I haven't watched in like five days.
Really?
Yeah.
Wow.
I know.
I feel pretty powerful.
I think it's because when I run for city council,
I don't like asking people to vote for me if I'm doing that stuff.
So I'm like,
and I do need to have like energy to talk to people.
So I'm like,
all right,
I'll feel stronger.
But it's a lot of free floating energy.
Like, it's a lot to corral.
Yeah.
Because I'm just like,
whoa,
I got a lot going on inside.
Yeah,
yeah.
That's awesome.
You're transmuting it.
Yeah,
for sure, dude.
And hopefully transmuting.
consciousness singing it too.
My wife's funny though, because she's like,
I call her an enabler.
Because like even on some days,
she'll wake up and I'll just be like flying around the house.
And she's like, did you not jack off?
And I'm like, no.
She's like, babe, can you please jack off?
I'm like, no, I'm trying to do something good and healthy here.
Are you just scared?
I'm going to want to like bang too bad?
She's like, you just say crazy things.
Like I get nuttier if I'm not cranking.
Wow.
And not to her, but I'll say, she says I say more violent things.
Like I think violent things are funnier.
Oh, that's interesting.
Yeah.
Wow.
Like I'll say like, we'll be watching real housewives.
And I'm like, dude, someone's got to just spin kick that chick in the head.
Yeah.
Why would you say that?
I'm like, I don't know.
What interesting psychology.
There's a lot going on.
You could write a book on that.
Yeah, I hope so.
I hope people are ready for it.
So we had a comment asking, is looking at B.
or shots considered cheating?
I think it's all depends.
I don't think so, but it also depends on who you're with and what they feel.
Like, and then I think it's like golden rule stuff.
Like, are you going to be pissed if she does it?
Or is there some equal but different thing that she does that you're upset about?
I think it's just all communication.
But no, for me, and maybe it's not up for me to decide, I don't think that's cheating.
Yeah, I mean, that's a tough.
standard to uphold in today's society.
Yeah.
I think.
Doesn't mean it can't be destructive for the relation if it's taking up too much time or if you're
like missing events or not connecting with them because you're so involved in it.
Yeah.
But for me, it's not.
I think cheating there needs to be like an interactive component.
Right.
You need to be like speaking with a human or, you know, having actual kinds of relations.
Yeah.
I think there's got to be.
And that other person could be a hooker or something too.
That's cheating, but there's got to be, yeah, like a connection there, even if it's sexual, even if it's emotional.
That to me is more the cheating thing.
Yeah.
But I think a lot of people think I'm just like trying to say what I do is okay or whatever because I watch porn.
Well, I think not for the last five days, though.
Yeah, I encourage my fiancee to watch Sons of Anarchy.
Yeah, Charlie Hunnam.
Bro, he walks like it's heavy.
Yeah.
and you know charlie hunt i'm hot so i'm like babe you know far away especially if i'm gone there is that
where it's like what qualifies as pornographic because yeah like his dick's not out but you could
be picturing what that dick's like and then if later you're like going to town on yourself
thinking about it like it is the gasoline for the experience so i don't consider that cheating either
yeah honestly dude i i sometimes will look at my
wife, if we've had like a couple of tough days just with the kids and maybe her and I are just
on different wavelengths. And I'll be like, as long as it was no one I knew, you probably
deserve to get banged. And I'm a very jealous person. So I don't think I'd be consistent in that.
Like I think I'd be very upset and maybe burn the world down or shoot somebody. But, but there
are moments where I'll just have so much grace for her that I'm like, I'm so annoying. Life is so
hard. Whatever you got to do. Right, right. Yeah. Like we're part.
We're just trying to get to the other end of this thing in one piece.
And she's such a good partner.
I'm like, you know.
I hear you, man.
It's tough.
That's tough.
It's tough to navigate.
You know what?
I'll be such a purve with my fiance where anytime she's like getting in where
close to naked, you know, I'm like kind of like the purve under the table, you know,
where it's like kind of like my head just pops out.
She's just like changing and something.
And all of a sudden my head.
just like underneath her.
Right.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Like she didn't even know where you came from.
Yeah, exactly.
It's like you found a portal.
Yeah, it's like I'm in Mission Impossible and I'm like kind of like, you know, just like coming through the vents and stuff.
That's so sweet.
Yeah.
That's so nice.
I think it is nice.
Of course.
I think she enjoys it.
Yeah, of course.
I say this sometimes like because I'm, similarly, I'm very in love with my partner.
And so sometimes I'll be like, baby, you don't know what these eyes do for you.
Like I look at you with so much adoration and attraction you get to swim in that water and it creates safety in you
Right like you feel safe all the time because you know I'm so into you right and I sound a little dangerous right now
Yeah, but actually it's it's it's a good thing there's like a I'm just like exuding
Like trust and safety and like she's like I'm I belong here he I'm loved yeah so I'm I'm
just doing that all time.
I'm just like, you were loved.
That's you.
Dude, you're like the cyclops of love.
Yeah.
Who's the guy in X-Men who shoots?
Cyclops, dude.
Yeah, you're like a cyclops of love.
That's awesome.
And I want her to have that.
She's probably the first partner where I ever had that.
That's cool.
Where I had other partners and I was like,
I'd feel them getting insecure and I was like, that's their fault.
Yeah.
I'm like, if you want to get insecure, get more insecure.
But I can't rescue you from that.
Like, you got to be strong.
And with her, I'm like, no, I want her to feel good.
Yeah, that's sweet.
It's not even a choice.
You don't even really choose it, right?
It just happens.
Yeah, I like that.
That's nice.
You just want to take care of them.
Dude, my fiancé is obsessed with the farmer's market.
Yeah.
I think nowadays people have two options.
Buy a house or go to the farmer's market.
You can't do both.
The farmer's market is so sick. They've got Sheila Jeet. They've got saffron. They've got Ayurvedic jelly from the gods. They've got, you know, organic apples. And if you go there, you know, you're spending your mortgage money on organic produce. Like you can either be ripped operating on purely organic produce from local farmers.
or have a house.
I don't see a world unless you're Jeff Bezos where you can do both.
Yep.
That's so well said, dude.
And it feels like our generation has made a conscious choice to go the hot route rather than the home route.
Yeah.
Like, because when we were growing up, all the dads, fat, ugly.
Yeah.
But like, had good jobs.
Yeah.
And now it's like, especially if you live in a booming,
cosmopolitan place like Los Angeles.
You're like, all these 45-year-old dudes are hot.
Yeah, yeah.
But like, how are you going to have a house and kiddos and be a stud?
Like, there's just not that much bank in the bank.
Well, dude, that's why you're taking care of your first, your primary abode, your temple.
I'm with it.
I think, yeah, what's the point if you're not going to, like, you know, feel a little studly?
Yeah, right?
Yeah, I'd rather have a six-pack banging in a shed than a fat crib.
And now that women have more purchasing power
and are doing well in the job market,
like you could also get like swept up by a babe
and you know, she could be doing more than half the money stuff.
So you're like, I got to be kind of hot to be in a position.
Dude, yeah, maybe in like 50 years,
the roles will reverse and guys will be like growing up
being super insecure about how hot they are
because like, you know, that that's how they get picked up by chicks.
We talk about this.
I agree.
Yeah.
We talk about it.
I got a little something on this.
My childhood home went up for sale last week.
Oh.
My dad built it in 96 for $86,000.
It's now for sale for $428,000.
Wow.
Wow.
And that's in Iowa in a small town that only has about 6,000 people total.
Wow.
And is he still the owner?
No, my dad is not the owner.
He sold it.
We moved out of there when I was 13.
which would have been what like 2008-ish I guess but yeah it's just crazy how much the
market's gone up like even in small places like that yeah yeah it's tough right now too
like interest rates are so high the mortgage is crushing people yeah that's tough I was
looking at places in Venice after our show because Rachel was talking about her
age and was talking about how much she lives Venice but she's got a nice pass
over there. Have you seen it? Yeah, I went to their housewarming thing. I, uh, yeah, but dude,
some of the places, it'll be like, uh, you know, let's say you're in a suburb in like,
a typical American town, nice house, like $12,000 a month in rent. That's insane. It's, uh,
it's crazy, but I would love to live in Venice. It seems like they have a good community. When I was
driving through there, I was like, these places.
are incredible.
Yeah.
And they're all like unique
in their design.
They all have like a really,
I don't know,
cool aesthetic.
Yeah.
And you're on the canal.
There's all those good shops over there.
Dude,
living on the canal would be sick.
Yeah.
So my brother's moving to Kentucky.
He can get a mansion for like 900K.
Yeah.
Wasn't it like an obscene amount of bedrooms?
Yeah.
But in a good way.
And it had like a basement with like a basketball court.
That's so awesome.
Yeah. Good. Mark's the man. Has he moved yet?
So he's, he's, his family's still in New Orleans. They're going to school this year.
And he's, um, he's just commuting. But he got Tesla self-drive, which I want to get.
And it's driving him from, he doesn't have to do anything.
From New Orleans to there? Yeah. Wow.
It parks the car, reverses him. Like, it does,
the whole thing. What's he doing the whole car ride? Just working? Yeah, he's like, I'm creating agents on
on AI. I'm doing work. We were talking about he needs to get like an AI fleshlight so he can just like
get his work done and just get cranked. That's so nice dude. Which I was I was like dude you should
do that because your wife's still in New Orleans. So just have your Tesla drain you before you get to
Kentucky, there's no temptace. You're just like a drained worker bee, you know, providing a living.
And then you fuel back up, self-drive back to New Orleans and, you know, do the deed.
Yeah, I think, you know, us humans were like afraid of, I think technology makes us feel alienated.
But if you look at it from a different vantage point, like that scale of multitasking where you can be getting transported.
in your own vehicle while working, while getting domed off.
Yeah.
And you're the only one there?
Yeah.
That's pretty epic.
That is sick.
And if I would have told like some of my ancestors who like worked in the fields and were
like breaking their back that that was my day to day.
Yeah.
They'd be like, hey, brother, buy me a ticket.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Because people in the other days are like, we're more depressed, isolated than ever.
And I'm like, well, you know, go get jacked off by a robot.
and multitask.
And appreciate it a bit more.
Like maybe say thank you to the robot
for that good dome.
Yeah.
And that's not all you have to do,
but it's not a bad way to get to work.
No, it's great.
Sounds nice.
It is a little dystop.
I can see some of the stokers being like,
oh man, that harshed my vibe.
But I'm not saying you're wrong for feeling that way.
I'm just saying we should investigate
why we feel that way.
Yeah.
And then if you're not into it,
go the other way.
Yeah.
You know, I'm not conscripting you into it.
And I'm not saying you got to get domed.
off while you're going to work.
No, it's totally optional.
I'm not forcing you to get your, you know, your rod just worked.
But it's an option.
You know what I think we should do?
You know, because people feel like they're not connected.
Just have AI do all these things that need to be done that are annoying, that maybe isolate
us more.
And then we go out and we do manual labor.
We get jacked.
We go build a house together.
Gardening.
Yeah.
We do habitat for humanity.
That's so cool your dad built the house, Jake
Yeah, it's all from hand
Him and his brothers
He has four brothers
They built it all
That's awesome
I have pictures of like
Me and my little sister
I was only one years old
But we were in like the concrete mixer
That my grandpa used to drive
Oh that's sick
While they were pouring the driveway
That's awesome
And then there's like all the trees
That my dad planted
When we first moved in
Or now like 40 feet 50 feet high
And there's pictures of me
As like a baby
when it's like as tall as me.
So it's like a...
Dude, how...
Imagine that feeling of building a house.
I would like to feel it at some point,
but I don't have the ability yet.
Yeah, that's got to be the best feeling of all time.
And then you're like, to your woman, step inside.
What do you want?
Do you want an island?
Do you want a fireplace?
You know, and then now with today's modern technology,
do you want a place where you can get, you know,
you can get your bean flicked by a,
you know we got like a a bean flicker a bean flicker yeah you call it that babe you're acting a little
erratic i think you should go get your bean flicked amen that'd be sick don't tell me when i want to get my
bean flicked i know when i want to get my bean flick it was just a suggestion all right i'm not saying you
got to do it it's just it's there and i was thinking about you dude i got to make a big announcement
to everyone i'm back i'm partying
Sick.
It took me a couple years.
You know, I was getting situated with the kids, learning how to be a dad.
I think I kind of have it.
The routine is established.
And I'm fucking back, dude.
I've been going out the last two weekends.
I had the fantasy football draft with the boys in Austin.
I hit the bars two nights in a row.
The second night, a lot of the guys didn't want to go.
So it was kind of a small team, Seal Team 3.
Me, Kyle and Danny, went to Whitehorse in Austin.
and one of the best bars I've ever been to.
Had a freaking great time, dude.
I just walked up to strangers.
I was working on opening lines to just talk to people.
I think I talked to every person at the bar.
My first one was,
where you guys out on the Lindsay Clancy case?
Buzzkill, quickly pivoted.
New one.
Where are you guys out on the band train?
Mixed bag.
But hey, we got some momentum.
Yeah.
Let's get into it.
I ran into my dad's kind of,
my dad's like stepson,
not formally.
but spiritually.
He's a great guy.
Austin.
I ran into his best buddy
in Austin just randomly
because I just went up
to a group of dudes
and I was like,
what's up?
And he was there
and we just started chatting.
That was awesome.
My buddy Kyle,
he told me what kind of girl
he was trying to meet
because he's like
the last single one of us.
And I think the ideal mix
when you go out at our age
is two married dudes,
one single guy.
Yeah.
Because you need that single guy energy
but also you want to have
that like stability.
Yeah.
And that nothing looseness
that comes from married guys.
And dude,
he met a girl that I think is very close to what he was drawn up.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
They met in Austin.
She lives in New York.
So does he.
Maybe I don't know if they're still hanging out.
We'll call them at some point, figure out because I'm deeply investing in the relationship.
But they don't want to put pressure on them where I'm like, you've got to make it happen.
You know, married guys will do that sometimes.
We're like, come on, man.
You got to be like together or something.
Then this weekend I went out in San Clemente with friend of the pod T.
And my buddy from junior high, Eric Rulent, bro, great time.
San Clemente is such a wonderful place.
Did you go to that cowboy bar?
No, we didn't go to Swallows in San Juan.
We went to, I think called Ollie's in San Clementi.
It was popping.
We did karaoke.
And I saw another guy do karaoke.
Dude in like his 50s ball dude.
He did Sweet Home Alabama.
And he brought a harmonica.
He brought the harmonica to karaoke.
The song doesn't even have a harmonica solo in it.
He just built one in.
And the beauty of that, of this guy being like,
I'm going to go out and I'm going to rip this harmonica for a bunch of,
because it's a way for me to show myself to my community.
It got me so fired up.
And you know, you're talking about the loneliness thing.
It's in your grasp.
You get a pack of cigarettes, you go rip some shots, you go to a bar,
and you just start talking to people.
And look, are you going to fail? Absolutely.
A lot of people are going to think you're weird.
If you're like me and you got your drunk face,
it's going to be off putting to at least 25%, but you hone the muscle.
And then you feel connected to people.
You hear great stories.
You hear a lot of tragic.
That's life.
But it's really beautiful.
And I'm back.
I'm going to party, I think once every two weeks is my metric right now.
Sick.
And I was still able to do the morning with the kids.
I woke up at seven.
Really?
I woke up at seven.
And I was like, look, I'm going to be a substitute teacher.
We're just going to watch a movie.
Yeah.
I threw on the Mandalorian and grow good.
Sick.
Was it good?
Dude, I dug it.
It was cool.
The kids loved it.
Yeah.
They loved it.
Baby Yoda was a huge hit.
Yeah.
And I was asking my kids, like, who they like more like Bradpin and F1 or.
Margo Robbie and Barbie or Baby Yoda.
And Baby Yoda's like in the two spot right now.
Baby Yoda's huge.
Like Baby Yoda did better than Mulan.
So baby Yoda's crushing.
Can you imagine the meeting at Disney where it is like, guys, we have an idea.
Baby Yoda.
When I saw that in the pilot, I freaked out.
It's incredible.
It's incredible.
The movie itself, I'm like, I'm just kind of burnt out on all of it.
The one, and this is the biggest issue I had with it.
Did you see it?
No.
Jabba the Hut's son is in it.
And it's like a gladiator kind of set up where they fight in a ring and people watch.
And his son is like a badass.
He's like, people feared my dad, but they love me.
And he's like a good fighter.
And he like slithers around all quickly.
And I'm like, this is so stupid.
He's a slug.
Yeah.
He's got to be a slug.
He's a slug.
So they're like trying to make him fast and he's jacked.
And I'm like, it doesn't make any sense with his anatomy.
Yeah.
Not to be a hater, not to put him in a box.
But there are limitations.
to that configure age.
I think that job of the hut, his whole deal is he's like a, he's a gluttonous pig.
He's like a fat piece of shit.
Yeah.
And I understand wanting to make the son different than him.
Yeah.
But that's got to be in the psychology.
Like, you can't just make him an athlete.
Yeah.
That'd be like if he had a movie about Kim Jong Il and he made Kim Jong-un like super hot and jacked.
Yeah.
And he's like fighting like Rocky or something.
Yeah.
We're like, I just don't know if that's in the cards for him.
Yeah.
No.
But yeah, the kids loved it, but I got it.
But yeah, I'm back.
I'm partying.
I think it's important for my body.
And I was gone for a couple years.
I was off the, I didn't feel it.
I'm kind of like a French guy, like an artist where I'm like, if I don't feel it, I can't force it.
Yeah.
You can't make me party.
Yeah.
I have to feel the party.
And when I feel it, I'm one of the best.
I party very well.
Letty reap.
And so the next big party.
Oh, the wedding, yeah.
I probably won't do anything before then.
You can have let loose?
yeah I'm gonna oh I'm gonna get nuts I'm gonna be out of my mind I'm so excited I'm so
excited I mean I'm officiating so like working on the script gonna do that and drill it and uh yeah
I don't think I'll drink until the reception yeah yeah yeah I think that's the move I'll do the
same like I might do like one shot just to loosen me before the speech but one shot one champagne
or something that sounds yeah but then I'm so excited yeah because the bachelor party is huge too
because now like I feel really connected to your college bros too.
Feel really connected to your brothers.
Yeah.
My brother's coming.
It's a good crew.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Your friends are awesome.
Yeah.
And it was so nice of you to invite my bro to the wedding.
Oh, that's going to be the best.
And I haven't, I might get a little sad.
I haven't met my niece yet.
Yeah.
Are they bringing them?
And they're bringing her.
So I'll get to see her.
Yeah.
So that's going to be a magical weekend.
I'm freaking hyped.
Yeah.
I'm going to get properly drunk and dance a lot.
I might hug your dad.
Kiss him. Oh yeah. It's gonna be sick. I mean and to like the Parker, have you been to the Parker?
No, but I've been seeing the photos. Dude, it's it's like a dream world. It looks insane. There's a we
I'm like the only person staying there with you guys. My family's stand there. Okay, good. Yeah, yeah. I know. It's the
rates are I sent your your brother hit me up about like wedding block rates but my family like they
don't have any rooms for the block. My family like scooped them up and so I'm like email them. I'm like,
Do you guys have any like wedding block rates?
No, they're like, yeah, here's two rooms.
The rates were like $9.50 a night.
And I said to your brother, he's like, thanks, I'll pass.
Well, because there's another good hotel down the street.
The Seguaro is like 150.
It's 150, yeah, yeah.
So I think, and then Miller says he's staying Saturday night too.
Oh, sick.
But I don't know.
I think we're going to stay all day Saturday, but it's just the babysitter situation is tough.
Yeah, I think we're going to leave.
Saturday evening.
Okay, you are too?
Yeah, that's good.
To pick up, we have to pick up Lola
because we leave for Hawaii the next day.
That makes me feel better.
But I think a lot of people are staying through Saturday.
Yeah.
That's what Miller was saying the deal is.
It's going to be awesome,
and I'm so excited.
Give me the party of the year.
Yeah, Saturday is going to be fun.

Dude, I had this thought recently where, you know, there's a lot of talk about like
B&Es in L.A.
Yeah.
breaking and entering a lot of people are talking about you know um security home security um
i think the key to good home security is your vibe yep if you have a good vibe if you are
amped up if you're stoked a burglar comes into your place and they're going to steal some stuff
and they pop in and you're like what's up dude they're going to be less inclined to steal some shit yeah
But if you're super paranoid, if you're super anxious, and then someone pulls a B and E on you, they're going to be like, dude, I want to steal from this guy even more.
So that's kind of my, you know, I can't afford, like, security guards.
So I'm just working on my vibe.
I can't afford, you know, right now I can't afford like the top tier home security.
But, dude, I guarantee the best vibes around.
And I think the best vibes act as a shield against any nefarious individuals.
Dude, I think that's 100% true.
My cousins were into ayahuasca before it became like de rejeure.
And they were in Brazil doing it the real way with like a tribe and whatnot.
And some dudes came in with guns and jacked everybody's shit.
Yeah.
And my cousin speaks Portuguese.
So he was like translating for the thieves.
And at the end, they were like, giving them.
your laptop he's like dude I live off this like I need this laptop and they're like
you've been honorable we'll let you keep it wow yeah it's huge they killed my other cousin
oh they did how was his vibe he was being negative yeah sorry it's all good but like I
choose to see that glass half full right yeah you learn something valuable my other cousin
knew like y'all just be be chill and then maybe they'll help you up yeah yeah if someone comes out
with a gun you're like what's up exactly it's gonna throw him way off dude whoa yeah did something
happen yeah dude that's like like that's why in like speed i was surprised i was watching speed with
kianna and i was surprised that like the guy kept wanting to kill kiana because his vibe was always so
good you know like they're on the bus and they're you know sander bullock is driving and she has to go
through city streets and she hits a stroller it ends up being full of cans and and
And, you know, she's freaking out.
And Keanu just calls his CEO and he's like, Mac, we're boned.
I can hear it.
He's so good, dude.
He's so good.
He's so good in it.
All his line is.
That movie makes me so happy.
He's so badass in it.
Yeah.
Just totally crushed it.
Jack always puts his life on the line.
You know who I was hearing this because did you listen to rewatchables on it?
No, I should.
I know there was one.
Dude, so Sandra Bullock, incredible actress, ripped it.
It was supposed to be Hallie Berry.
Really?
And I think she would have done a good job.
I think she would have been great.
She's the only person, I think, who would have done, like, as good a job or as good in a different way as Sandra Bullock.
She would have been awesome.
She would have been really good.
And she kind of did it in an executive decision.
She kind of got.
I need to watch that.
Oh, it's ripping.
Dude, you'll love that one.
Yeah, dude, speed.
So good.
Yeah, if I could just walk around.
I want to start walking.
walking around with a um um with a bulletproof vest and like a walkie-talkie dude just to impress like my fiance's
like I thought you were a comedian why not 50 cent used to walk around with one so sick
dude okay so I always used to do pickums with Joe Marisi when he was my roommate I'd ask him questions
I'd be like Joe what do you like more skateboards or trash cans yeah and I'd try to bug him when
he was like shaven.
And it was really fun.
It was fun to come up with him
and it was always fun to get his reaction to it.
Now when I'm doing car rides,
long ones with my kids,
I'll do the same thing.
And bro, my daughter is a genius.
She did something that Joe Marisi,
who's a genius,
never did in like five years of pickums.
She always goes with a third option.
Whoa.
So I'll be like,
what do you like more?
Mulan or a
smoothies and my daughter would go
trees. And then she just cracks up because she's
like broken the game. Oh she knows what she's doing.
Yeah, she's like thwarting the game. It's almost
like Alexander with the Gordian knot.
Like everyone's like, oh, you can't untie it. He's like just chop it in half.
Wow. And then after like a couple of car rides
of doing that, when we were driving home last night,
she started asking me pickums.
She's three. And I wrote down some of her pickums.
trees or beds
Great pickum
tough
whales or dresses
wow
hair or chips
these are really tough
bananas or chocolate
and then aprons
or stickers
I was freaking out
like we were driving
and me and my lady were like
she's on
she's literally in flow state
dude
she's on a heater
she was just ripping them dude
you got
You got to have her do pickums to Joe.
I'm only doing, I'm only doing daughter provided pickums now with Joe.
Yeah.
Because she's better at it than I am.
Yeah.
At three years old.
Can you imagine Joe?
Just a freaking pickum prodigy.
Chocolate or bananas?
God.
It's tough.
They're both so good.
Dude, Joe freaking out on your three-year-old daughter.
She breaks his brain.
She gives him like an easy one.
He's like,
trees obviously
that he smashes a
water bottle
that's hilarious
yeah it's sick
this actually brings us to our first

for my buddy Danny Bobona,
one of the best pitching coaches
in baseball history.
If you're a young buckaroo
and you can throw or you can hit,
take yourself to UCI Baseball.
They should call UC Newport Beach
because it's right there.
Sick.
And dude, you're kind of associated
with UCI baseball.
Yeah, my future father-in-law,
he played there, he ripped it.
And he goes to a lot of the games and stuff, right?
He goes to a lot of the games.
His best friend, Paul,
was going to be at the wedding.
He was on the team, too,
so they're heavily involved.
You know, but I got to,
I don't want to put his business on the street,
but so me and Danny,
because he was at the fantasy football draft,
we went out together a weekend ago,
and he lives in O.C.,
so I hit him up, and I was like,
hey, me, T. Hole,
and Ruling, we're going to hit the bars.
No text back.
Whoa.
So what, Danny?
Because you're married and you have a full-time job
and you got two kids that you coach up in sports,
you don't have time to rage with me every weekend?
Dude.
Oh, look at Danny.
Look at how cute he is.
Yeah, so I remember when I first started dating my fiancé,
we went to UCI baseball game,
and I was like, yeah, I know Danny Bubana.
And my future mother-in-law was like, let's go say hi to him.
I'm like, wait, he's working.
She's like, no, let's go.
She like goes down to like the dugout.
She's like, Danny, Danny.
And he's like, yeah, yeah.
You know, I did hear, I heard Callie wore a USC hat in the dugout.
Oh, no.
Dude, that's hilarious.
Wow.
I made that mistake.
My buddy Rossi played football at Essine.
He was so nice.
He's like, bro, come to my senior night.
I got to be like with his family.
I was so honored.
Yeah.
And they were playing UCLA and I wore.
a light blue sweatshirt because I thought it looked cute and when he came up he was like why are you
wearing light blue that's so funny dude I'm so sorry dude where's his uh where's his dad from
Scotland what part do you know Glasgow I think he's from Glasgow Aberdeen I think he's from close to
Glasgow Edinburgh not Edinburgh now I know now I know Scotland you do dude you're a well-traveled man

Dude, speaking of the boys trip,
I had a real breakthrough.
When we were on the water in Lake Travis,
I was on the ox cord.
And so I was like, all right, we're fired up.
We're partying.
I got to put on the Tucker Carlson episode with Sogher.
And so, you know, just set the tone.
And then I was listening to it while, you know,
we were just chugging beers and whatnot.
And Saugger was saying we have to outlaw gambling.
It's become a $100 billion industry.
It's super destructive for people.
people's lives. You know, 25% of young dudes think it's like a good way to plan for your financial
future. One percent of people qualify for having like an addiction problem. And, you know,
since 2018 when they kind of deregulated it, it's just become this pervasive, corrosive,
societal behavior. So he's like, hey, we got to outlaw it. There's literally no virtue to gambling.
It's only bad. It erodes confidence in all of our institutions. Nobody trusts what they see.
We got to get rid of it.
And people are losing hell of stack.
So I totally get it.
Because I think of all the addictions, gambling,
probably the most destructive.
Because, you know, you can't bounce back from it.
But this is America, all right?
We have a freedom to self-determine how we want to live.
So I don't think we get rid of it.
I think we take more guardrails off.
You shouldn't have to be 18 to gamble.
What we need to do is do what Europe does with drinking,
early exposure.
Like, you know, we don't gamble until we're 18.
So once we get our hands on it, we're like, I'm going all in.
You know, and our brains are all wrecked.
And we're like, come on, give me more, more money, more money.
If we could start gambling at like four, I think we would develop an aptitude for it.
We'd learn the losses early and we'd learn how to self-regulate our gambling behavior.
I love that.
So, you know, just like at school, just let the toddlers get on the computer, start throwing down parlayes and learn to be.
responsible about it. You know, maybe we're just doing a three-teamer. We're not stretching it out to
five and just teach people how to gamble rather than taking it away from us. You can't do that.
Not in America. You can't do that here. Let's say like you're having a family dinner and it's like
you say to your son, hey, would you like to do a little parlay before your appetizer?
Exactly. That's a nice dinner. Yeah. And then he's like, going to want my dessert. I'm sad
because I busted. You're like, well, now you know.
Yeah.
Now you know cheesecake tastes better on a win.
Yeah.
So maybe we get smarter with betting the home teams or maybe we don't bet.
Yeah.
That's the upshot.
And first person, sorry, go ahead.
No, go ahead.
My dad, he let me gamble when I was in like third and fourth grade.
And I was riding the Broncos hard because that was the season they were like 14 and no after their Super Bowl.
And they had a 14 point spread going into week 15.
And I bet it and then I lost.
Wow.
And dude, it stung.
And no, I don't get.
gamble much. Dude, I think that's a, my dad exposed me too early. He didn't let me gamble,
but every time he'd see gambling or he'd come up, he'd just say stupid. And that just stuck in my
dome too. So I think it's like exposing it early. And yeah, it's like showing them the power
of losing. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, that's my dad. My dad would be like, you always lose.
You'll always lose. You do. You always lose. Yeah. It's really bad.
And we should outlaw, oh, and you know, we didn't add for Kalshi on accident.
We just didn't vet our ads.
Yeah.
But we're not doing any of those.
No more prediction markets on here.
We said later.
And since we're losing on money, I would like to get some virtue points from you guys because we said no.
Yeah, maybe because we said no to that, maybe put through a comment on the YouTube.
Just help boost engagement a little bit.
Yeah.
Get our numbers up and then it won't hurt.
Yeah.
But it was the right thing to do.
We said not in the prediction markets.
Yeah.
Because that is gnarly.
You shouldn't be able to bet on famine.
No.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
That is crazy.
It's like, enough, dude.
And you know, here's my thing.
Dude, this is a big philosophical point.
Because, you know, I'm doing battle with the DSA people in my little local election.
I'm getting outflanked to the left.
And so they'll call me like an amoral capitalist, which I don't think is the case.
But I think with stuff like polymarket and Kalshi, it's hard to argue that, like,
capitalism isn't corrosive and negative.
So I'm like, we almost got to get rid of that stuff
and just be a bit more responsible about it.
So we don't overcorrect the other way
and go straight like status type of a system.
So like, you know, let's just keep it chill.
Chill capitalism.
I like that.
That's where I'm at.
Chill capitalism.
In France, parents set up a rainbed account for their children
when they turn five.
That's awesome.
You know what rain bed is?
What's that?
It's a social crypto casino.
Nice.
Is that what Chardley's always puts in his videos?
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
So basically what they do for their marketing is they just like pay really, you know, like pop and creators.
And then they'll just have them like do like a blackjack hand in the background or something and then be like rain bit.
Yeah.
It's like it's all over the place.
I would see him put those in the videos.
I wouldn't, I couldn't tell if it was like.
Ironic or something?
Yeah.
Is it ironic or is it like you getting paid for that?
No, yeah.
getting fat stacks for that shit.
That's wild.
Dude, how about Hunter Biden too?
Did you see that?
No.
He's doing a crypto.
Oh, is he really?
Yeah.
And like, uh, yeah, so everyone's like, is that why he was doing all the pods?
Yeah.
Interesting.
Dude.
As soon as he was on the come up and then he just undercuts it.
I think he's got that in him where like, I don't know.
I think dudes like that, they want to be loved, but they also don't feel like they
deserve to be loved.
So they do stuff to kind of.
blow it up.
Yeah.
That's that addicts personality.
That's also why people like that can be so compelling.
Dude, I, I've learned something about myself in a relationship.
I don't think anyone can be 100% chill.
I agree.
I think, I think I would argue that I'm pretty chill.
You are very chill.
And, you know,
And I think it's, you know, I try to, and one of my biggest fears is a bad time.
I don't like creating negative vibes.
I don't like creating bad energy.
So, you know, interrelation, you got to kind of be open about what's, what's bothering you, right?
Sure.
But to me, you know, if little things will irk me, I'll be like, in my mind, I'll justify it.
I'll be like, no, you know, it's, I see.
where she's coming from and you know this is tough so you know it'll be and so i'll store it down and i'm like
i don't need to create a bad vibe let's have a good night let's watch walking dead but then i've noticed
certain moments in life where all that stored energy just comes up where we'll get a door dash
order and i'll be like fuck she's like what's wrong i'm like there's no pawn zoo
She's like, is something bothering you?
I'm like, yeah, I'm going to have dry albacore.
That's what's bothering me?
And she's like, but what's really going on?
And I'm like, fine.
I don't get a surf as much because I walk the dog in the morning.
Whoa.
And she's like, that's all you had to say.
Do you feel better?
And I'm like, yeah.
And I was like, does this mean I'm not chill?
And she's like, no one's 100% chill.
And I'm like, that's one of the harsh truths you learn in your adult life.
Yeah. Well, yeah, because you don't want to be chill because you're afraid of not being chill.
Yeah. Being chill is almost like saying, hey, you know, don't want to ruin the vibe, but there's a fat swell and I kind of missed it.
That is chill. To acknowledge the discontent in that moment, I think enlivens you in a way that,
the chill is more profound.
Yeah.
But dude, you should, like, it's funny because I did notice you were surfing less.
And I took the kids to Doho on Saturday morning.
And I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but like surfing is so sick.
It is, yeah.
And like watching everybody out there.
It's awesome.
It was like rolling three footers.
And I was like, it made me want to do it again.
It's awesome.
It's awesome.
I know.
And the vibes they were playing Sublime, they had a little commuter.
community toy chest where you could just go in there and grab like a little grave digger dude and
I was like fuck bro I was like it's pretty epic it is epic and it's pumping right now yeah
yeah I went to el poro on Saturday but it just wasn't it wasn't really doing its thing but you know what
I'm going to Maui hopefully there's ways oh nice are you gonna get a couple sessions in before the
wedding I'm worried I want you to I think so
Yeah, I have to.
That's not
learning.
I have to.
I mean,
what if you,
like,
can you live stream
from the water?
Or do you think
that would corrupt it?
I think you can.
Um,
yeah,
it's a two-man job.
Jake,
get down there,
dude.
If I set up like a camera,
the ions will be good for you,
dude.
Dude,
if I set up like a boom
from like a helmet
and a camera looking at me,
so,
and just,
that would be sick.
It's just so sick.
It is so sick.
You can't stress it enough.
And surfers' vibes are just so good.
Yeah.
They are so good.
It's so sick.
It's so sick.
So we're in El Nino right now.
And it's going to get like...
It's going to get gnarly.
Like massive.
Long Beach was getting like run up on.
The water was like going through apartment complexes and like thrashing people's stuff.
It's going to get gnarly.
That's for sure.
I was very nervous.
is bringing the kid. I was like very, I was too parental. It was like, we stay a hundred yards
from the water. Dude, I mean, I don't think you're, you're wrong in doing that. No, and there's
been some gnarly stuff this summer. So, can you, yeah, I mean, is there anything worse than your
kid getting, no, swept into the ocean? I mean, dude. Because you'd be powerless. You're powerless.
You're powerless. You don't want, it's worst case scenario. So yeah, I'm very like, I'm sure I'll build up some
comfort with it, but where we're at right now, like I was like, we do not go past that stop sign.
Yeah.
And then, of course, my kids are like creeping towards it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Stay back.
Yeah, yeah.
But they also have some natural fear of the water, which is good.
Like, they're, they're scared of the osh.
Yeah.
Which at this stage, I think, is healthy.
It's good.
But, you know, I see, if I was more of a water dog, I see other dads out there with like their kids
are maybe like a year older and they got them in the floaties and they're doing
the surfing and stuff.
Yeah.
I'm just not that competent, so it would be dangerous and arrogant for me to push it.
But seeing that, I'm like, dude, it's sick.
And I remember, like, Brooks's family taking me surfing for the first time at Doheny and
just, like, how fun it was.
Yeah.
It's just such a great way to grow up.
No, yeah.
You got to take them out.
I think once they get, like, a little bit bigger and, like, good at swimming, take them to, like, you know,
where there's, like, little waves and just take them out in the water.
they're going to love it.
Yeah,
see,
kids at three
can ride
tiny foam waves.
I,
I'm not ready for that.
I'm waiting
until five or six.
Yeah,
seven to 12.
But I know there's kids
who can do it.
I'm not like speaking
against it altogether.
And everyone has like
different aptitude levels.
But,
uh,
yeah,
not for my kids.
You were just doing pickums
for a while.
They can,
all right,
I,
uh,
Dude, this was kind of throwing me.
New Mexico is running short on rural lawyers.
So to boost the supply, they're doing away with the bar.
So you can become a lawyer?
Yeah, just by doing a certain amount of like hours apprenticing.
Wow.
And I guess some other states might have already done this.
And I just want to say I am firmly in agreement with this.
Like, dude, first of all, when you're in law school, 60% of people are using AI to help themselves out.
Good.
Get through law school using AI.
Get your hours working at your uncle's law firm or another place that just, you know, farms out all their cases and is just trying to make money off of all of it.
And then just become a lawyer.
And, you know, and a lot of high schools did away with the SATs and did it have some downstream effects?
Yeah.
where like 20% of the incoming freshman at UCSD
couldn't do basic math.
All right, but like, is math even important?
And also the colleges make more money
teaching you the remedial math
that you should have picked up earlier.
We don't need math.
We don't need the SATs.
We don't need the bar.
Just like trust that people are good and competent
and it won't be bad for anybody.
Yeah.
That's wild, dude.
We're so testing obsessed.
Like people are like, oh, look,
Would you go on the OC2?
Would you get on the bar?
Would you get on the LSAS?
It's like, bro, it doesn't matter.
That's not indicative of my IQ or my ability to be an orthopedic surgeon or a trial attorney.
Like, I know what I can do based off what I've learned in life.
And honestly, for you to suggest otherwise is prejudicial.
Yeah.
On several counts.
They call this the bookworm advantage.
Yeah.
Just because you can put your dome in a book and regurgitate on a test.
doesn't mean you can give me a quadruple bypass, bitch.
Yeah, or like, you know, fight, uh, some zoning law that I accidentally fudged up.
Like, I honestly, I don't even need it.
I honestly at this point, I don't even think we need rural attorneys.
Like, we have chap, GBT, and Claude.
Like, I can just be my own lawyer.
Yeah.
So, like, everyone should stop hiring lawyers and just defend themselves.
Yeah.
I don't need to pass the bar.
I don't even need to do 675.
hours of legal work.
No.
All these like barriers of entry, we're getting rid of that.
We don't need it, dude.
Dude, I'm going to become a lawyer.
We could do it.
And then you don't even have to practice cases.
You just throw up billboards and hire other lawyers to do all the cases and you get a rip
off of it.
Perfect.
It's a good business.
Let's do it.
Yeah.
We should call our lawyer, actually, because we're actually having a legal issue right now.
Where in and out has been sending chat a crazy amount of cease and desist because they say our logo
is based off of theirs,
which I guess is like
I could see them thinking that,
but there's a lot of differences.
Like, first of all,
the In-N-Out logo doesn't have
Chad and J-T in it.
Yeah, which it should.
Honestly, it might help your business.
But we're going to call Kevin our attorney
and get his opinion on this stuff.
Hey, Kev.
Yeah.
Hey, Kev.
Dude, appreciate the call.
So we're actually coming to you
with a pretty serious issue.
and we need your legal expertise.
In and Out has been sending us a cease and desist
because they say we're ripping off their logo.
And we just want to know how we can fight it
and keep the logo.
Oh, fuck.
You guys have the strong arm of the law
coming against you in an out of the chain.
Is this real or are you guys doing a hypothetical here?
No, it's real.
Oh, it's real.
after all this time
does that help our case that they let it go for like five years without saying anything
you know to be honest with you i don't know much about um trademark law just kind of like
yeah i don't i don't really know much about IP law or anything like this
well um specific
kev specifically they said the arrow is what they have a problem with
so
the problem with the arrow
The yellow arrow, yeah.
Yeah.
They think they like own all arrows.
Yeah.
And do they think, I mean, the one thing that just pops to my head is there's, you know, it's not like you're a competition with them.
Right.
We don't flip burgers.
Yeah.
You're not selling, well, are you selling burgers?
No.
And I don't even think we're selling any merch that has the logo on it anymore.
No.
No.
It's just a symbol for the podcast.
is what you're saying.
Yeah.
And as far as I know,
In and Out doesn't have any like,
you know,
40% sincere,
60% jokey podcast that they do.
Yeah,
I mean,
so,
and then again,
we're establishing
this is a realty synesis letter
that you guys can send me
and I can take a look at.
Yes.
Yeah,
I can email it to you.
I mean,
assuming this is real,
that,
I mean,
just on their part,
this is,
uh,
pretty much moronic
for a,
for a company of this.
size and this amount of money to to waste their time sending two podcasters, the cease and
assist.
Yeah, I was about to say be nice.
Yeah, I could, he wanted to do insult us.
Kevin, I'm really proud of you there because you were really about to disrespect us.
Yeah, you're going to say dipship.
Yeah.
You're going to speak down on the pod.
I was going to say dipshit.
I was going to say dip shit.
I know you, Kevin.
Because I've sucked your dick, dude.
Yeah.
I've such your dick too.
I mean, it's unbelievable.
Now, did they send it to you from, like, was it from a law firm, like their counsel or was it directly from them?
Yeah, from their council.
Like, they have their logo on them from their council?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I would, you know, without wanting to speak out of my ass, I don't know too much about this law.
But, I mean, usually these laws are more common in.
uh like when when you have like competition i remember the yeah you know sweet sweet green um
you know sweet green the salad chain yeah they had like a they had like a chopolde salad and i think
like they were in a legal battle because chipotle or i don't know another company was going after
them because of the name of the salad and then the whole thing they always are in these kinds of
cases is like confusion with the consumer.
So like there's a confusion that, you know, this is associated with the other brand.
So I don't know.
What did they say something in the letter like people are going to think you're an in
and out podcast?
What did they say as like the basis?
They just said, uh, what's the concern?
What's the damage?
Because that, you know, you're not, and any lawsuit you have to prove here, take this,
write this down.
Yeah, we're writing it.
Yeah.
You have to prove damages.
So what damages is in and out suffering by having two dipshit have a, you know, a logo, you know.
Do you think that actually, no, this is another thing you haven't even thought of, and this is why I'm a genius.
You know, when you get in and out?
It's crazy.
Yeah.
I think there's an ulterior motive.
So, you know, does in and out?
still have the cups you know the cups with the Bible verses on it yeah okay do you think
this is an attack because they find you guys offensive because you talk about Dong so much
do you think it's an attack on Dong I don't think we talked about Dongs once this
pop by that we talked about getting blown by artificial gadgets but I don't would you
consider that Dong talk that's a separate question they're not basing the cease they're not
basically this he's an assist on the current podcast
that you're having. Right, they haven't even
even listen to this one yet. Yeah, that's a good point
it's not out yet. Yeah. Did they write
in the letter anything about you selling
merchandise? Did they, what did they
explain were the damages to this?
They said
take out the arrow.
Okay, because
I work for you?
Yeah, okay, here, here.
Let me pull it up.
They're very, they're very,
litigious too they sued a uh australian burger chain for having the name down and out okay so
so they said oh wait wait kev just shut up for a second kevin shut up so
no no no no see he's gonna talk more so they said up so that how we've noticed a few pages
still containing our marks in and out arrow logo used for going to chat j d podcast twitch
Instagram. We asked
to remove the In-N-Out Arrow logo
from your videos, profile pictures,
and anywhere else you're using them.
Could this call be damages?
No. Because, look,
we'll cover our ass right here.
Everyone still eat it in and out. It's the best burger
in the world. Yeah. We're having
a small issue here, but we still love them.
It's like a parents, you know? Like, we
still love your mom. We still love your dad.
We love in-and-out burgers.
Yeah, but I'll love
What I was trying to say is before we get into the nitty gritty, I should always probably advise you that, you know, if they are threatening litigation and you're talking to a lawyer or something, you probably don't want to make more public statements about it.
But this just seems like a sort of a dumb thing.
Yeah.
And I'm not afraid to make a public statement.
And I'm not afraid to get in the ring with anybody.
I don't care how much, you know, cap they got behind them.
I stand on business, 10 toes down.
This podcast always has.
It always will.
And if you want to own an arrow, well, guess what, buddy?
I got an arrow pointed at you right now and it says you're up.
Yeah, what?
You wanted me to say something?
Or you wanted me to say something after you said that?
No, see, because you didn't think that was sick at all?
Yeah, I don't know.
To be honest with you, it's just, I mean, this is just, this is so stupid.
Well, we can we can
We can we can discuss
When I have more time
You know I can take a look at the letter look at it and
Kevin you're our lawyer
You're our lawyers so we'll send you all the relevant information
And you come back with a strong rebuttal to put them on their heels
Okay yeah
This sounds like a fun exercise
Thank you guys for
Keva one more cute
because I just did a deep dive on it,
but I'd love your professional insight.
What do you think about New Mexico
saying you don't have to pass the bar anymore
to become a lawyer?
You just need 650 hours of working in a legal capacity.
I wasn't even aware of that.
You mean so like an apprentice thing?
Yeah.
650 hours.
Yeah, so in a 12-month time frame,
but some states are doing away with it
because they say they don't got enough lawyers.
Well, sometimes, you know,
that's all.
always been a thing. There's always an apprentice thing. I think that's what Kim, isn't that what Kim
Krodashen is trying to do? Yeah, exactly. It's, it's always been around where you could
apprentice, but then you eventually have to take, they're not saying you don't have to take the bar, right?
No, they are. They're going to get rid of the bar. Oh, they're getting, so it's just a apprentice
and then you're a lawyer there? Yeah, exactly. Oh, I mean, that's interesting. I don't know how
how you can really
it's not like
I mean even if you're like an electrician
don't you have to in your apprenticing
you have to sort of pass some kind of exam
right to get your license
to show some competencies
you can get some why I'm actually forward
you're gonna it's gonna be the wild lob west
with lawyers oh do you think you'll do you think
would you be more confident
going against a lawyer that never passed the bar
like would you just be like I'm a dust this bitch
like he doesn't even know what it's like to really pound the payment
well I mean I wouldn't say
that just passing the bar is the B-L-I-N, whether it can be a good lawyer or not, but the bar,
it's easier, I think, to pass the bar if you've gone through law school, and it's sort of a,
whether you pass it on the first time or it takes you three or four times, it's still usually
sort of a litmus test that you're able to absorb, like, basic legal principles in law
school so if you're just pre-sasing for and you don't have to it's one thing if you
apprentice and then you learn a lot while you're apprenticing and then you just go take the bar
and you pass it i think isn't that what abraham lincoln did something like that yeah yeah but i don't know
is the test just going to be the clients when the you know he does apprentice work and then they
give him a murder case and then he just like he just does it i don't know i don't know yeah and i think it was
for more DA and public defender jobs
because they got high vacancy rates.
So, yeah.
I mean, do it. I don't give it. I honestly
don't give a fuck. I mean, any lawyer is
just such a shitty thing.
Like, who gives the fuck?
Did you pass it on the first try?
What do you think?
Yes.
Yeah.
What do you think?
You're a smart guy.
Thank you.
Kevin.
Well, I mean, this conversation wasn't that smart.
but um we didn't give you prepped you guys want to talk about anything oh kevin so another issue
um that you're having is your your bandmate amir his friends and family don't like dong songs
kevin your thoughts now this is a more serious subject thank you um it's it's more just
I guess every time Amir posts or shares a story of us performing,
he had a, I don't want to speak to him, but he has a certain friend.
I think it's like a childhood friend.
So it's one person?
I think it's one per.
You got to ask him, but I think the main thing is just one person.
And then basically like every time, I don't know if he's religious or something,
but he's just a normal person from Amir's childhood.
And, you know, every time he posts something,
he'll hear something from this guy
and basically telling him that if he keeps doing this,
no woman will ever be with him.
Right.
It's basically like...
From that guy's perspective,
do you think if you were single
and you hadn't met the love of your life,
locked it down, made some babies,
would you be as inclined to do so many songs about that?
don't.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, you can't stop me.
I just look at a little differently.
I think it's a good litmus test.
If you are in a band, I mean, we're performing at venues.
I mean, if you're in a band, you know, and you sing about this guy's dong, I think it's a
good litmus test for the girl to see if she has a sense of humor, if she sort of accepts
you, if she sort of chill.
if the instant reaction is in I'm in this band and you know it's sort of a comedy band and yeah we might
think about this guy's dong the instant reaction is just like zero since the humor or zero even
like entertaining it like let me see what this is yeah the band's doing well and this isn't the first
kind of issue you guys have had because I heard at the san diego show ameer wanted to uh say to the
audience because you guys were saying you had small dongs and ameer wanted to say no we sing about
small don't have a small don't have a small don't he wanted to say that to the crowd he wanted he wanted me
to announce to the crowd that he had a this didn't include him because in case there's a girl in the
crowd he wanted to make sure that it was known that he also had a large penis he does and he does
he does have a big penis yeah clip that and but the first thing is the first thing is first
all that's not funny announcing to everybody that you have a large penis second thing is
I did announce it.
I did announce it, okay?
I did announce it during the show.
Oh, that was nice of you.
And then we get off stage and he was
he wasn't happy with like,
I didn't spend enough time on it.
Like we're supposed to dedicate two minutes
to the crowd about how he all,
he's concerned,
there might be a girl in the crowd that's not going to talk to me
after the show because
because we didn't sufficiently
make it clear that he also
has a large penis.
Now why aren't we thinking about your penis, man?
Huh?
Why aren't we just thinking out your dog?
You know, why don't we just change it up?
Why do we even joke in the equation?
Okay?
I said it.
Wow, we, uh...
That's sort of the band arguments.
But you're going to have to ask him about his friend.
I mean, I don't appreciate it.
He made his point, you know, leave the guy alone.
He made his point.
He did some thing.
Sometimes...
Wait, hold on.
Yeah.
Amir was in a long-term relationship.
and the shows were not an issue in that, you know,
she came to our shows, she enjoyed.
So he has had a long-term relationship while he has been in the general show.
So, you know, yeah, it's not.
I do picture, you guys, you guys both have family in Iran,
which is obviously going through an extremely turbulent time and it's super serious.
And there's a block right now on Internet.
access. I do like when they get their internet back and they hit refresh on Instagram
and it's just 12 videos of Amir talking about Joe's dick. Oh, I don't think that's an issue.
Do you think do you think that they'll be like, oh, it's nice that they can do that there?
Yeah, Persians love dogs. Don't worry about it. Yeah, we're not we're, um, we're fine with it. Um,
my understanding is that the person who's attacking him is of, uh, your, of, of, of, of,
of the white persuasion.
I'm Colombian, brother.
Yeah.
Oh, what about...
What about...
Wait, who's there with you?
Chat?
Yeah, Chad.
Yeah, yeah.
And our friend...
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I'm white.
What?
Yeah, bro.
I'm black.
That's right.
I...
Kev, I, um...
You know, this happened to me in college.
We named our house Cream Pie.
And, uh, this one guy,
with his girlfriend passed by the house he's like
why would you name your house cream pie
so disrespectful
oh what a bitch
and uh sorry
he died soon thereafter
yeah
oh bro no what's how it goes
no that was a joke talk she could hit
Chad killed him yeah killed him yeah
with a cream pie
yeah I just smothered in with a cream pie
yeah I mean look
some some people some people say
hey you guys need to branch out and you need to just
stop singing specifically
about this one man's dawn and
I
you know we're actually discussing that
because the blowback I I don't
think I'll write a song I'll write a love song
you want me to write a love song I'll write a fucking love song
I'm sure I would like to hear it I would like to hear what else they got
I'm open to hearing it we'll sell out
we'll sell out you want us to sell out
and then write a stupid song and then we'll post it on TikTok
every five minutes and you know try to get into the algorithm or do you want us to sing about one
like the most specific uh you know the most niche band in the history of bank yeah i think
i think you guys stick to your guns yeah we have 200 followers okay and we're not growing
because we're a real this is real we're not going on purpose this is we have 200 but they're
strong. They're 200 strong and they follow us. And we do content. We're so pure. We do content
that can't even hit the algorithm because by the time you posted there's so many dongs,
the algorithm blocks it, but we still keep doing it. What does that tell you about us?
Integrity. You have a lot of integrity. We have a lot of integrity. Okay. We're a real band.
And we're real, we're real artists. We're not selling out. We're not going on line and ripping
off somebody else's song and then posting it a million times and being famous and all of that.
Nope, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
But, you know, whatever, whatever, we'll sell out if that's what you guys want.
We'll sell.
All right.
Well, Kevin, it was good talking to you, brother.
We love you.
Thank you for your electric every time, man.
Thank you for coming on and just bringing it.
And I just want a disclaimer from you guys.
You called me voluntarily.
You blindsided me with this legal question.
you guys voluntarily talked about it and you have uh he gets very protective on the legal stuff
which is understandable yeah so i just want you guys acknowledge that so yeah yeah acknowledged
yeah and i on top of that acknowledgement i will acknowledge ameer's penis yes amir has a big
penis and that's real yeah uh yeah uh i mean uh nice i mean proportional though like are we talking
proportion it's not like jo's about proportionality it's not it's not it's not like joes but it's big
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean,
if any ladies are interested in it,
you know,
and Amir is a very nice guy.
He's smart.
He's very smart.
He's very smart.
He's in other aspects of genius.
He really is.
He just teaches,
he says it's no big deal,
but like he'll just teach himself calculus.
Yeah.
And he's like,
and then he'll like laugh at me
for being impressed by that.
I'm like,
I think that's,
I don't know.
I don't know a lot of people
who would just pick up a textbook
and go through that.
Yeah.
I would say,
on the airwaves,
that is a penis we're sucking.
Yes.
By the way,
what,
so if a girl meets you,
and let's,
let's,
what's,
it's,
Amir meets a girl,
okay?
So Amir,
yeah,
he is insane
and he's in
community college
calculus right now
just because he wants
to bone up
on calculus
and he's also
in community
college woodworking,
okay?
So let's say
he meets a girl
on the street
and,
and he says
one of two things
to her.
He says,
hey,
I'm in a band.
I'm in a comedy band.
And sometimes we,
you know,
we sort of thing
about our friend's
massive piece.
Or I'm in community college.
Which one, how come his friend isn't telling him about, hey, you need to get out of community college?
You need to get out of community college because this is not going to attract a woman to you.
You know what I'm saying?
Right.
So you think a woman would be more turned off by him learning calculus than by him being in a band that only sings songs about his friend's dick?
I don't know.
J.T.
I saw him after class and, you know, he's plenty of community college girls in this class.
I guess the experiment's on.
Let's see if any of them fall in love with him.
All right, fair enough.
That's good.
We'll follow up with the mirror next week and get his vantage point on it.
But Kevin, again, thank you, brother.
We love you.
Thank you for the legal advice.
Thank you for being so generous with your wisdom.
Okay.
All right.
We'll see you guys later.
What do you think he's going off to do right now?
I don't know.
He could be in so many different places.
