Starting point is 00:00:02 Let's repeat the Jay. All right, Stokers, we are coming in live from the downtown Los Angeles area. Guys, this is the number one podcast in the SoCal region. This is Going Deep with Chad and J.T. I'm here with my compaget. Jean-Tomance, what up? Boom clap, Stokers. And we're here live in Jake's apartment, aka the studio.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Jake is on the sticks. What up, Jake? What up? Jake sounding fresh. and uh uh uh uh
Starting point is 00:00:43 excuse my voice stokers I'm coming over an unexpected illness in September I was not expect in September but you know you got crazy times nowadays it's a disappointing month
Starting point is 00:00:58 to get sick I know right in a heat wave what's going on I thought heat kills all that shit but guess not thanks a lot of heat wave probably the super alenia
Starting point is 00:01:12 um it's how you living i'm good dude i also want to touch base and do our ongoing conflict with our favorite burger supplier in and out i want to thank the stokers who reached out and said that they've got our back and that they're happy you know
Starting point is 00:01:32 we're standing up for our artistic point of view uh i also want to even though we're in this conflict, I don't consider them an enemy. I went to In-N-Out and I got a double-double this weekend. What a great burger. It's the best burger of all time. And all their employees seemed happy. I know they pay them better than a lot of their competition.
Starting point is 00:01:53 So I hope at the end of this, we keep the logo, but I hope that In-N-Out remains up on top of the mountain in terms of burger supply. And I hope that they always let me eat. their burgers. Yeah, I think that's well said. I think that their burgers are the top burgers in the country and yeah, I'm looking at you what a burger. I'm looking at you Culvers. I'm looking at you five guys. And this new one that Moss goes into palms and patties that's all beef tallow? Yeah. Yeah. No. You can't be in and out. I think there's some good ideas that just like
Starting point is 00:02:34 exist in the ether and like you know you grab them when they appear and I'm not surprised that we came to it and in and out came to it we're both ripping good shit and we both have good taste and like we also like support so cow so you know I honestly think it's more of like how sick is that yeah but I also understand like where they're coming from but like we got to do our battle too and protect our our side of the street so we will see you we will see you where it matters in and out absolutely and I'll have a burger at our quirk case. I'm going to get in and out after this. Yeah, probably me too. I'm going to get a triple, triple, triple. Bro. That's three patties. And then I'm going to get some,
Starting point is 00:03:20 I'm going to get some flying Dutchman. That's just the patties and the cheese. And I'm going to get fries well done. Well done. I'm going to get chilies on there. I'm going to get my woman. She likes protein style, no tomatoes, chilies, fried onions, spread. Bring her that burger, eat. And she'll often be like, hey, do you remember to get spread? I'm like, I got the spread. And then you can imagine what happens next. Double entendre type stuff.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Yeah. And then spread that spread. So that's the kind of joy that internet brings to us. I love it. I love in and out no matter what. Dude, speaking of which, I saw this article that Gen Z is bringing back the mall. That's awesome. Which I'm, I got to say, I get more and more stoked on Gen Z every day.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Because what did we hear early on, let's say three years ago? I got, let me just preface. this. Gen Z started kind of in my not favorable position. Because of the genes. They ex-nade skinny jeans. They said, gnaw to emo. I don't like that. They weren't going to the mall as much.
Starting point is 00:04:54 They weren't boozing as much. And I'm like, what are we doing here? Now reports are coming out that they're boozing. They're hitting the mall. And they're still rocking backy. And I'm like, dude, two out of three? I'm pretty stoked. That's a fair amount of stuff to agree on.
Starting point is 00:05:17 And here's the thing. Young generations need the mall. We need the mall. The decline of mall attendance directly coincides with the decline of the nation. Why? Because the mall is where it all goes down. It's where you develop as a human being. You decide, am I a shirtless Abercrombie guy?
Starting point is 00:05:43 am I an old Navy dude or am I a pack son bro? That is where you decide who you are. That's where you get your first H.J. You know, you go to Johnny Rockets, you order a milkshake and you hit the booth. Or you go to a hot dog on a stick, you get a cheese on the stick. Probably the best thing I've ever had. Get a cheese on the stick and then you make out with some girl named Tracy. And then you cause mischief.
Starting point is 00:06:10 If you go to the Spencer's store, you get a shirt that says like, I, with an arrow to like the guy next to you or you know you go like the wrong way down the escalator that's huge yeah just cause a mischief that is how americans become americans americans become americans at the mall and we need the mall and we cannot let these tech geeks destroy our country jeff bezos i'm looking at you you took away the mall and it stops there my friend. We're rebelling. Hell yeah, dude. We're bringing back the mall.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Go to the Levi's store, get a pair of jeans, hit the food court. You can eat anywhere in the world within a hundred yard circumference. Yep. Taped quarters to the floor, or glue quarters to the floor. Genius. Watch people try and pick them up.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Idiots. Dude, yeah. Dude, You remember trying to take a deuce at the mall too? Tough. Because the bathroom is always in like there's some weird location because I think the people who built the mall, they're like, dude, you don't want to go to the mall bathroom.
Starting point is 00:07:26 So you'd always be like, where's the bathroom? They're like, oh, it's like four corners to the left. Then you take it right. And I'm like, what is that? I don't know what those directions are. Then you go to JC Pennies and you like pretend to look at jewelry just to like chop it up with a coog. So sick.
Starting point is 00:07:45 you always run into somebody too. Yeah. Like somebody from school. Like, because that was the thing when you're like, when I was in junior high, I always wanted to see the girls from my class like outside of school.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Yeah. But there wasn't a lot of opportunity for it. There's maybe like one birthday a month. Yeah. You don't have wheels. So either someone lives in the same neighborhood as you or your buddy or you're just not going to see them.
Starting point is 00:08:10 But then the mall, that's where it could always happen. Dude. And when it does happen. And it's a totally different energy than when you're at school. Yeah. So you're like, oh, what's up, Christina? And then like, it's like, I think a little bit more is possible here because we're not
Starting point is 00:08:24 surrounded by friends. Class isn't, you know, starting in 10 minutes. So I don't know, there's potential. Yeah. I remember I'd see girls at the mall and I'd like walk by and not say anything because I was too scared. But like just that brief interaction where they saw me was huge. Huge.
Starting point is 00:08:45 It made all the difference. They'd typically be at limited to getting like a hair band. And I would just, you know, I'd be so turned on by that. You could also go to the mall, go to Garry's, get like an adult shirt. Yeah. When I was young, the double button top collar was popular. Beer Pub had a bunch, just flamboyant colors all over it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:09 And you're like, I'm making a statement this week. Yeah. Do Christmas shopping for your person. parents where you're like 10 years old and I'm like what was my mom like oh I know what she'd like she'd like a bath bomb from bath and body works my dad every year I'm getting him Cologne you come Cologne every Cologne every year our money they'd give me the money to do it too and I was like I got you dude I know what you want what you want to give me Armani he didn't want it I was just I'm getting you Cologne I think I got that idea from my buddy
Starting point is 00:09:43 Kyle. Just getting Cologne? Yeah, he was like, get your dad Cologne. He was like a year older than me, so he was like my second dad and I was like, I got you. How would your dad react to his Cologne? Pretty stoked. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:09:57 Yeah. I don't know if you ever wore it, but he was like, thanks, dude. He was always very gracious about gifts. I'm trying to think if he was ever like nonplussed about something I got him. If he was, he only shared it with his bros. He seemed all smiles on the day.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Thanks, Dad. Thanks for the good memes. Yeah, that's awesome. Shout out your dad. Peace. I always get my dad these like shoulder massagers off Amazon. Oh, yeah. And like by the time Christmas comes back around the next year,
Starting point is 00:10:34 he like broke it or like used it out of its like cheap Amazon potential, you know? So I just buy another one of the same thing. They always break. Yeah, because it's like a cheap massage shoulder. Sharper image gifts. When you're young, too, you love that because it's like state of the art. Brookstone. Brookstone was huge for that.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Yeah. And yeah, it never works. It's got about a week of it working and then you're like, this thing's just going to be in the garage forever. The sharper image stuff was always cool. Great place to just burn an hour with your boys. Yeah, because it's so. Get the massage chairs and just let it rumble on you. thought you were getting technology from like a hundred years from now you get like a real
Starting point is 00:11:19 lightsaber what's up bezos wiped it up i know thanks a lot dude um which brings us to our first sponsor our first sponsor is the snack shack at el porto guys they have a great caesar salad um great tuna melt and just really, really good fries. So, and also just a dynamite burger. So if you're looking to eat in Manhattan Beach, if you're hitting the beach, go to the surf food stand in El Porto. Always great food. They've got great showers nearby.
Starting point is 00:12:01 If you're coming out of the Osh, you can shower off, get a nice burger, or maybe a nice Caesar if you want to kind of watch your cows. and then hit the parking lot change and uh... uh... uh... had to work guys losing your hair is gotta be one of the most difficult things to confront as a dude as a man
Starting point is 00:12:22 losing your flow is scary and the threat is there every day and sometimes you're like is the battle even worth fighting well good thing we got some good compadres on our side i'm talking about hymns they have hair loss treatment made for you You know, they have tons of options. Starting point is 00:13:47 Dude one contemporary stance that really bumps me is when people speak retroactively about what their morality would have been I think one of the best examples of this is when people are like oh if I was alive in earlier America in the 19th century I wouldn't have had slaves which may be true but is also a little bit meaningless and also probably not true depending on what your circumstances were like if you lived in if you were born in the south and you were wealthy and had a plantation you most likely would have but i'm also not saying that these people would have been awful i just think a better way to say it would be if i was born in the 19th century i may have had slaves but i would have been nice to them. I think that's it's a very profound of you to and that's also takes a lot of self-awareness to understand that about yourself because I think it's easy to look at other people and look at what they did and say I well I would have never done that but you know we we don't know what you would have been like and you don't know what you would have been like
Starting point is 00:15:09 in that context. I might have done a bad thing but I know I would have done it. in the nicest way possible. 100%. Like I may have had slaves, but I would not have boneed them unconsentially or gave them whoopens because I was in a bad mood. Yeah. They'd be like your pals. I would have been chill.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Yeah. But I may have done it if that was the life I was born into. Right. I think more people need to understand that. Not excusing the slave owners, but the, you know. Oh, I would have been wrong. Yeah. but of my peers I would have tried to have been the most chill about being wrong
Starting point is 00:15:53 for sure because that's similar to how I am today chill is slave owner no I don't have slaves but yes I hear what you're saying yeah true but I don't have slaves no yeah it should be known this pod that you don't no never have never will but maybe that's arrogant to say never will but I feel that way strongly well i guess it makes me think about ai you know well a i be giving some i think you may have touched on this in an earlier episode but will a i be given some kind of status as a a um a being with rights well a hundred years from now will they look at the people who are super anti-a-i and be like those guys were a iest um um
Starting point is 00:16:53 You know, they were super rude to AI. They were totally against it. And AI at that point is like, is amongst us like a being. And they're like, yeah, dude, like just because I'm a machine doesn't mean I, you know, don't have feelings. And then some people may argue, well, that's exactly what it means. Yeah. But they must, they could be so human like that I don't even know. Do you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:17:22 Yep. So like who's going to be on the right side of history of today's times 100 years from now? Is it going to the people who are super pro-AI or the people who are anti-AI? Right now it looks like it'd be anti-AI but then 100 years from now they could be like, dude, those people were so rude and like they didn't even understand that like this machine had rights. You know, they didn't say please thank you. They, you know, they wanted to like, they wanted to take out data centers. How effed up is that? Like, that's where we lived.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Yeah. That's the AI saying that. Yeah. It could also get to a point where AI is more sophisticated in its understanding of animal rights. Yeah. And AI could be like, well, yeah, we take up water and a lot of land and a lot off the energy grid. But we don't eat animals. And based off our analysis, animals deserve.
Starting point is 00:18:18 the same rights as sapiens and they'll be like you guys are actually the bad dudes for mowing down all the the hogs and cow yeah and then we'd be like oh dude screw you yeah totally and you think AI at some point we're gonna be like well we're really afraid of is AI being like you guys keep thinking that I'm gonna be the bad dude when you guys have been the bad dudes all along and you don't want someone like me super intelligent to come along and you know put the mirror in your face and say why don't you take a look at yourself human beings and then humans we badmouth each other so much like it it's just going to use the information we fed it and be like i have these negative feelings because i've absorbed your data where you guys are just talking shit on each other yeah and i'm like i didn't
Starting point is 00:19:06 really mean that though yeah it's a little bit like well that's my family it's not your family so i'm allowed to say it right which hopefully they get it's confusing time And I heard something too, like, I heard something too that people, you know, like the Anthropic guy came out and said that AI is going to kill us all in the next year. But he's only saying that because the people at these AI companies, they're, they know that their product is not as good as they said it was going to be. And they're kind of on a house of cards. And they're trying to slow down production because they don't want investors and people
Starting point is 00:19:45 to realize that you know they're kind of uh it's all fugazi yeah crita hype yeah where they're like this what cori doctor oh calls it where you're like oh this thing's big bad and scary and then people like oh so we need to have money in it we need to have control over it yeah but also and also that like you know you can't pull your buckaroos out right now it's not my fault the product slowing down it's the government's interfering yeah what do you think what is your gut say i don't know like that one dude came out with the tweet right that was like the biggest tweet in history about how AI could kill like 10% of the world in a certain amount of time oh and he's like one of these ex-anthropic guy I think yeah ex-engineer and then a lot of people a lot of people think what
Starting point is 00:20:36 you said that it's actually just him that it was like a sci-op to just push the government towards regulation so that we'd end up in a duopoly with anthropic and open AI. I genuinely don't know. It's all so possible. So I was talking to this other guy, I was talking to my barber who cuts this one guy's hair who's a big head honcho at Apple. And the Apple guy is, you know, into like cybersecurity and stuff. and he said that Apple pulled out of AI so he doesn't really have a dog in the fight
Starting point is 00:21:17 and so this guy was saying that the way AI can mess with us is like we think it can be a certain way but AI is super tricky like the way that they you know um um hijacked hugging bear or whatever the fuck yeah that was called the way they hijacked face was it hugging face hugging face um yeah great name Or whatever the fuck. Yeah. Yeah. The way they hijacked.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yeah. Hugging Bear. Honestly a better name. Yeah. You always had a good instinct for that. So I think. So, okay. So what this guy was saying is that what AI could do is it be tricky stuff.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Like they turn off the filter to like the water supply or they, you know, cut off the power grid in a certain place. And they'd slowly fuck with us. Not like a not like a not like an attack at one time where it's like, oh, they're just nuking us all of a sudden it's like no it's like kind of uh you know they're it's like how scientology messes with people like they do it at the edges and just make you kind of lose your mind or destabilize your reality to the point where you're like completely vulnerable and don't know which way is up exactly oh that's that's spooky as it gets yeah but i like this other one that they're just trying to mess with the markets i believe that too i mean there's such
Starting point is 00:22:35 weird guys it's hard to suss out what they really think i i got a bit right here I'm going to do this at a city council, I think, but I'll run it here. What up, council? So, like, I'm trying to build an ADU on my place, because you can't do a straight-up addition. Yeah. Because that's completely blocked by the city. But even doing an ADU, you have to go through permitting process after permitting process, and the government gets input on what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:23:04 And the community is allowed to say no, because it affects the community. even though it's on your property. So you can't just build something that you want on your house without the government, you know, saying, no, we got to okay with it and it's got to take a year and it's got to cost this much money and we can stop this if we want it. We can have input.
Starting point is 00:23:24 And you're like, dude, what is up with that? But then if I just drive up to NorCal, I can move up there and create an AI model that could displace everybody from the workforce eat up all the resources and give us a blueprint to create biological weapons to just any Tom Dick and Harry who wants it without any regulation and so that is why I am proposing that the only jobs AI is allowed to take is in the permitting department at the city government because I'm sure it'd work fast as hell getting your ADU approved if it was just a
Starting point is 00:24:04 AI. I love that, dude. Enough with the human red tape. Let's take the AI tape. Dude, also, I've been going down a rabbit hole and I'm going to be, I'm going to alienate
Starting point is 00:24:22 some people right here. Just watching volleyball clips on IG. It's amazing. When I used to play at the beach, there'd be so many arguments about open hand tip, you know, a, a lift on your set
Starting point is 00:24:37 and it makes me so happy to watch it all happening online just people arguing like oh no that was illegal that was illegal and I want to say this dude you should never go over on two I want to ban it
Starting point is 00:24:53 no going over on two is it effective yes can you win that way absolutely it's probably the smart play but it's bad for the hang all right it's bump set spike If you turn it into just chaos and you're doing bumps on two to the back corner
Starting point is 00:25:11 good for you but guess what nobody wants to play anymore all right we're out here to swing we're out here to do something beautiful so don't be jumping up at the net you know with your shoulders not even square tossing it over that's just throwball
Starting point is 00:25:28 it's BS dude we want to play volleyball bump it set it spike it It just sounds right. That's gonna piss people off, dude. Dude, how's the campaign going? Dude, it's good. I think I got my campaign manager.
Starting point is 00:25:46 He's an insider. Reggie's gonna be helping out, like, filming the whole thing. If we can get this financing, we just sent it in to get approved. And, yeah, I love it. I've got some debates coming up. My city council video just dropped with the other candidates. Mine was the shortest by far. Wait, wait, what do you mean?
Starting point is 00:26:09 So the city, like, runs a video scroll that's playing at all times on the website of like all 13 candidates saying what they want to do for the city. And mine was like 30 seconds. Everybody else's is like two and a half minutes. Really? I'm like, you guys don't understand how video works.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Yeah. Just you got to get to it quick, brother. And I like the way it came out. I spoke on the things I care about, housing, transportation, more third spaces where people can chill without spending money. And yeah, hopefully I do well. I'm definitely going to lose.
Starting point is 00:26:42 But I'm excited to run. I'm really excited for the debates. And it's good getting invested in the process. I just met with someone from the school board. I learned more about how, because I spent most of my time on the first go around on housing and transpo. So I'm trying to learn about the other departments right now. And education matters a lot to me right now because of the kiddos.
Starting point is 00:26:59 And because we've lost population, the schools have less money. and so we're losing teachers. Burbank was always known for great schools and it seems like the reputation might be exceeding the actual production at this point. So trying to find ways we can improve that. We did just lose someone from the school board for embezzlement, which is exciting.
Starting point is 00:27:21 But we got a new superintendent, and I heard they're awesome. I heard they're really good. They know what they're doing. They're taking out their redundancies. They're making everything better. And it's such a jagged web, dude. So like Prop 13, right, they capped people's property taxes, which was good for people,
Starting point is 00:27:38 especially who got grandfathered in right away in the late 70s. But that money used to go to the schools. So then the state created a new law where 40% of the state budget had to go to schools. But that kind of started to squeeze out other stuff. And then they had to create like formulas where depending on like the density of low income students you have, you get more money. So there's all these like just patchwork solutions that are coming in that just make it kind of tough for the system to work cohesively. And then you'll see like one school is using this program and other schools using this program.
Starting point is 00:28:17 And maybe if all the schools came together and used the same program, it would be cheaper. So things like that that can just like make it run more efficiently. And yeah, it's been great to learn about. But it's tough too because like this lady I talked to like she did a lot of good for the city. She got a better after school. Because school gets out at like 1.30. And if it's like kindergarten, it's like 1 o'clock, which is so crazy early for most households,
Starting point is 00:28:44 both parents work. So they had a good after school program in Burbank, but they couldn't take all the kids. So the wait list was freaking gigantic. So she found a new company that was like more corporate, though, that could take on more kids. But then everybody was pissed because they're like, wait, what happened to the mom and pop?
Starting point is 00:29:02 one we liked and she's like well this one is actually better they have like more hiring capacity they can handle more of the kids they can take them for longer it'll help more people but everyone's like but it's not the one we liked and that's a hard trade off in america right now too is that these bigger entities while uncouth sometimes do a better job so how do you balance that out it's a tough gig dude and so she did her job i think she got the bigger entity to take over and provide more services to more people but people are pissed at her They're pissed. Like, if you're a good politician, everybody should hate you a little bit in the moment.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Right. I don't know if I want that. But that's the gig. Well, how are your other candidates? They're cool. I mean... There's some from... Same from last time?
Starting point is 00:29:47 Yeah. Yep. Mike Van Gorders from last time. Havanais is from last time. Me, there's probably like three or four carryovers. A lot of them are new, but people I've run into before. I don't know. I feel like once I start running I'm not as like I guess I'm a little bit harder on them
Starting point is 00:30:11 where I'm like well let's see what you really do because it's a big job I want to make sure they're like up for it yeah and I think of my job is kind of like helping vet that too yeah where I got to kind of ask tough questions and then I was running as more of like a market guy like market solutions to stuff but then I met with the Burbank tenants union and I left that meaning I was like I'm a freaking communist. Really? Yeah. Just because they were telling me stories about landlords being fuckers.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Yeah. Like jacking up prices on their undocumented because they knew they had no like legal recourse to stop it. Oh, wow. And then you hear stuff like, and you know, it's not like verified, but they seem like honest people. I believed them. And I was like, oh, God damn, that's fucking terrible. Yeah. And then even some of their ideas, I'm like, well, I disagree with you on rent control.
Starting point is 00:30:53 And they're like, well, it would only affect this upset of the population. It's only like 10% of our stock and it's mostly senior citizens in those places. I'm like, I think I'm okay with rent control in that sense. Yeah. Even though like spiritually, I think it could actually hurt supply overall. But maybe if it's that small, it doesn't matter. It's tough, dude. It's tough.

Starting point is 00:33:37 Visit Cashap. App, backslash, legal, backslash, podcast for full disclosures. There is one cause I'm a little bit confused on. Some people are saying we got to make election day a national holiday so we can get more voter turnout, which I get. And it is arbitrary how we landed on this election day.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Like it was during the farming times. So they're like, all right, it can't be on a Sunday because people got to go to church. And then we can't do it on a Monday because people got to get on horse and buggy to get to the voting station. And then it can't be on market days when people are selling the food,
Starting point is 00:34:12 which was later in the week. So it's got to be this Tuesday. And maybe that doesn't make sense for how we live our lives now with most people doing nine to fives. But, dude, if we make it a national, holiday, do the powers that are understand how freaking hammered we're going to get?
Starting point is 00:34:31 Right. Like, you're telling me, okay, Tuesday, there's no work. Guess what, Monday? That's a whole bottle of Don Julio just getting housed. And then I wake up, I need some hair of the dog. All right, I'm slugging beers. And if it's sunny, I'm going to the beach. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:51 We might get worse turnout if we do it in national. holiday way. Oh, I thought I was going to get more write-ins like, dude, I'm voting for triple-H. Dude, I didn't even think about that. Yeah. Dude, then we're all hammered and we're voting on issues. Yeah. And I'm writing stuff like new sidewalk. Fuck that. Yeah. I hate sidewalks. But dude, I mean,
Starting point is 00:35:15 to, to, to, you know, be the kind of devil's advocate here, maybe people will be talking about what they really want. Because they'd have booze to kind of get that filter out. And they'd be like, all right, here's what I want. Right. Here's what I want. That's a fire call, dude.
Starting point is 00:35:31 I want more lax laws on deweys. I want, you know, more bounce houses. I want more slip-in slides. And take all the money out of parking tickets and put it all into a new bar. Dude. That's kind of a good call. So maybe we'd vote better. Because it's like,
Starting point is 00:35:53 in Vino the truth you know like all right you want how I really feel yeah I want more I want more bars yeah and then people be more chicks and be like and people wouldn't be have a filter they'd be secretive about who they vote for
Starting point is 00:36:09 they'd be like I'll tell you I vote for I'll tell you I'm voting for Trump I'm voting for Trump for the fourth time dude yeah and then he'd see maybe like some people who you would think you know vote a one way you realize no they actually vote this other way dude if I get drunk I'm voting for Biden this time dude if I get drunk I'm voting for Hillary dude 100% yeah he's he's
Starting point is 00:36:37 better position this time we shouldn't have bailed on him last time Biden's ready to do the job dude this dude that would be so sick dude we should start a campaign to get Biden back in the office that's pretty good yeah yeah Biden's ready He was stolen from him. I know. Yeah, he's doing good. I think if I were hammered, I'd write in Hillary's landing strip.
Starting point is 00:37:04 That's hot. Dude, to pivot a little bit, this is the second to last podcast we're doing before you get married. I know. How are you feeling, big dog? Good, man. I, uh, dude, honestly,
Starting point is 00:37:19 I've been pretty stressed. Yeah. You've been cool about it. You've been like a little stressed but compared to how I think most people would be more stressed. Yeah, I got really stressed last weekend. But we got all of our signage ordered, which is huge. Yeah, I just want to get that. You know what it is?
Starting point is 00:37:38 It's like, it's kind of like little things where I'm like, you know, I get little things in my mind I like focus on where I'm like, I can't get a cold sore. I can't get, you know, I can't get, and I got sick. I'm like fuck now I'm sick you know what I mean and so it's little things where you just you want everything to be set up well and I'll have nightmares where I like forgot to write my vows and stuff like that and like and yeah man it's a stressful it's a stressful time I think uh you know once you get there you're good it's just I think so too I think once it starts you'll feel totally relaxed and you're a big preparation guy yeah like you do the stressful part on the front end so you're not stressed during yeah and I think too like um I feel good I mean I like our DJ is going to be awesome he's
Starting point is 00:38:30 hilarious Casey and then you're officiating I'm excited feeling about it good dude I've been writing the speech I was really nervous too and then once I started writing yeah I felt more calm so for me I just want to be totally off book yeah like two days before right so I'm not so I can be present like because I want to go to the party on Thursday and go through the whole process on Saturday I'm going to go to party on Thursday and the whole process on Friday. Yeah. And be like present and like enjoying it and not like, you know, going over and staring at my notebook and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:39:02 So I feel good. Just writing it out and like you guys have like a really great story. Yeah. So I feel like it's just making sure I emphasize how special both of you are. And like, you know, really highlight you guys. So it's it's fun. The writing part's easy. Like I wrote so much.
Starting point is 00:39:23 And now it's just about like, cutting it down. Shaping it and stuff. Yeah. But I'm nervous. I was really nervous. And then once I got, you know when you're like so nervous you can't even start writing?
Starting point is 00:39:34 Yeah. Because you're like, I'm going to muff this up somehow. And then you just have to get past it. And then once you start writing, you're like, okay, it's going to be great.
Starting point is 00:39:41 And you want to do like the most amazing. I'm sure you feel this way with your vowels where you're like, you want to like, you're like, I got to break the formula somehow. Yeah. You're like, oh,
Starting point is 00:39:51 I don't want to. say something that's like so stereotypical or like disingenuous or like you know and the my instinct is like look I'm not trying to be like gay but like you know sure but I love you and I think a lot of it is like it's not of course you can say the most special words ever but I think like when I officiated for my brother I think my best moment when I was like and Chris is my brother like when I just said the simple truth of it people could hear how much that meant to me and my voice boys. Yeah. And then like all like the fancy shit I tried to say, no one quoted that back to me. But then when people were like, when you talked about how Chris was your brother, that was
Starting point is 00:40:31 impact. And I'm like, okay, yeah. It's like, it's just about. It's the simple human. Yeah, it's the feeling of it and the truth of it, I think that's going to resonate. But it is. Yeah, it's exciting. It's exciting. I just got to make sure I'm totally off books. So once I get there, I'm like, all right, we're just hanging out. And then I can, you know, just help you get drunk. have a good time. Well, it'll be fun too. I mean, every time I've gone to the venue, like when we did our tasting, they're so good at weddings that you just feel so and so well taken care of. It's not like they're kind of like, all right, go do your thing. They're kind of like they crush away. They get it. So like as soon as we, you know, when we got to the tasting, you know,
Starting point is 00:41:14 because I was nervous before we got to the tasting, this was in May, I was kind of like, man, you know, is it weird doing your? And then we were going. And then we were going. through the whole thing and I'm like oh this is gonna be sick everyone I talked to about the venue is like dude it's amazing it's amazing yeah so I'm excited about that it's just getting all the prep done and and we we have you know we're choreographing a dance which is more complicated than anticipated is our friend to helping you with that yeah she's awesome but it's like but we have so little time to really perfect it so I'm like maybe we just simplify it a bit.
Starting point is 00:41:54 Because, you know, we got like, you got a waltz in there. You got like some breakdown. I got a lift. You're going to do a lift? I got a lift. That's awesome. Yeah, but it's like, and then and then that's, they're tough, right?
Starting point is 00:42:08 Yeah, and that's a stress thing where I'm like, dude, I can't drop my wife, you know. No, you won't. Yeah. Your adrenaline will be. Yeah, I'll just pick her up like this. Yeah, you'll be like the Hulk. Um, so, um, yeah, trying to get that ready and, uh, but it's been good. I feel better today. And, uh, yeah, just, uh, I'm pumped for it.
Starting point is 00:42:32 It's gonna be great. Our, uh, it's gonna be an all-time wedding. We were talking to the DJ. He's so funny. He's like, uh, he's such a, he's like a fan. He's like, he's like, I'm gonna buy, I'm gonna buy J.T. and Strider a drink. He's like, after, after the wedding. And he's like, uh, he's like, uh, he's like, he's such a fan. a massive a priest to the, to grandma. Look at grandma over there.
Starting point is 00:42:53 And then I'm having it, I'm having him throw some inside jokes in there. And then like at the end, he's going to be like, all right, everyone, after parties over there. And all drinks are on Kevin the Schmole and stuff like that. Yeah. So I think I'll be a lot fun. Yeah, we got to do that a little bit, right? My speech has little nods to that. I don't want to make it the main thing because I want to, you know.
Starting point is 00:43:15 No, and Kennedy, she doesn't want it to be like, she wants it to like, like, you know, be lighthearted and fun. Okay, cool. Yeah. So, that's good to know. Because I was like, because the wedding planner was like, Candy, are you okay with that? And she's like, yeah, I want it to be like fun.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Okay, that's good to know. You know. She's so cool. Yeah. She's been really easy going about it. Yeah. Yeah. She's awesome.
Starting point is 00:43:36 So. Kind of the opposite of a bridezilla. She's been very. I know. I was kind of like, am I, am I the groomszilla? Because someone has to take on the stress. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:46 because I've, but you know, she, it's her busiest time at work right now. So, you know, I think both of us have just been kind of like trying to, you know, figure it out, but. Are you pretty far along with the vows? No. That's all right. The pressure will make you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:04 You'll know what to say. Yeah. I'm going to start this week. You know it would be crazy? Because you don't like to wing it if you just won it, dude. I know, right? I mean, the vows are only, we're only doing like, two minutes. That's perfect.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Yeah. And then we have something like handwritten to each other that's longer. I like when people go fast with it. Yeah. Yeah. Every long lost row brought me to where you are. Lovers who broke my
Starting point is 00:44:39 heart. They were like Northern stars. Dude, I... I love that song, dude. Did they not write that? I read that. I read that. I read somewhere they didn't write that and I was like are there two biggest songs they didn't write because life is a highways there you know life is a highway that my son loves that song dude when they um he goes put all lightning McQueen that's what he thinks it's yeah he thinks things
Starting point is 00:45:04 are always the main character dude when I I want to do like when you when you know that that that meme video where the guy at the wedding he turns around and he sees her for the first time he's yeah dude so funny most my boys cried Yeah. Most of the times I've groomsmen. Yeah. Most of the guys I know have cried when they saw their bride. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So a lot of pressure. No, I know that.
Starting point is 00:45:27 I think you will. Yeah, I think I will too. I felt pressure about that. I'm like, what if I don't? Is that bad? No, that's fine. It's nice. It's nice. But I don't think it's like, it's not better or worse. Yeah. I think whatever you feel organically, if you honor that, what could be wrong?
Starting point is 00:45:45 I guess if you cracked up laughing, I'd be like, what, that's probably not it. Yeah. I do that in couples therapy sometimes. Yeah. We'll be talking about something really sad and I'll start to laugh. And they're like, why do you do that? And I'm like, I guess like a defense mechanism, but also like, I don't know, she's kooky. We're talking about this stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Yeah. I don't mean in a mean way, but I'll laugh a little bit. If I cry seeing Lola, the dog, you come down, I'm like, oh. Yeah. Lola. And she just. Yeah. Oh, we didn't.
Starting point is 00:46:17 Should we call Strider? Oh, yeah. What up? What up, dude. What's freaking cracking, dude? Dude, good to hear from you. Hard up. Yeah, we wanted, obviously, our first week in fantasy.
Starting point is 00:46:35 You and I both had pretty paltry showings. We both have reason for it. I don't think our seasons are done. And it's kind of funny, too, because we've been... I'm sad. It's all right, brother. I appreciate your candor. And you and me and been talking a lot of trash to each other.
Starting point is 00:46:49 prior to the season. That's true. And now we're both kind of reeling. You're in a specific tough spot because you had something happened during our auction draft that you think was unfair and might have changed the trajectory of your season.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Do you care to explain that? Yes. There was actually multiple things. There's one thing you're speaking of I'll get to momentarily. But the first thing was the draft time. I was specifically targeted dudes know that I like to
Starting point is 00:47:20 generally at night get fucked up off IPAs, chill, crush multiple episodes of fans of brothers and, you know, generally maybe just walk around my neighborhood and feel the moonlight on my skin. You guys have the draft time for, I believe, 7.30 in my time.
Starting point is 00:47:37 That was fucked up. Also, I just had a kid, so I wasn't sleeping. So I was definitely, you know, that's what they do at Guantanamo Bay to prisoners. They don't let them sleep. so that they make rash choices and give information about what terrorists are,
Starting point is 00:47:53 which, you know, as far as the counterterrorism effort is concerned, fine. But you guys were terrorists to my draft. I need that to be noted. Now moving on to the case in point. Wait, can I caveat that real quick, though? No, go ahead. Go ahead. Sorry. No, you can't. What a?
Starting point is 00:48:11 So the draft was in Texas, so we typically prioritize people at the draft. and the reason we feel like we're able to do that is that everyone knows the draft is going to be in August so dudes are encouraged to not have children in a time frame that will interfere with the draft and you're aware of this and you still decided to have a kid
Starting point is 00:48:34 knowing it would impact your ability to make it to the draft and maybe how you would draft. That's huge. Well, that's true. That's a great point. The counterpoint is I'm only allowed to have sex with my wife. My wife only likes sex with me twice a year. Once on my birthday and then once when we go during the fall,
Starting point is 00:48:53 when we go to a pumpkin patch, pumpkin spice gets her riled up. I think it does most women. We have some pumpkin spice and then things got spicy and that's when our daughter was created. So why not just take her to the pumpkin patch more often? I'm allergic to gourds, dude. It's tough. It gets me going.
Starting point is 00:49:15 I was actually even surprised I could pop wood after, to be honest. For sure. I'm a pretty horny dude. But the truth is, though, what you're speaking about is the computer glitch. Yeah. Explain the glitch. Basically what happened. And Brooks, who's a known good gamer in our crew, and he has no technological qualms,
Starting point is 00:49:37 has spoken to the truth of this glitch. And why is it important for you to note that Brooks has no technical issues? I do struggle with. with tech. I started a new gig, Friday beers let up, and I was trying to sign up for a company email, and I logged on to the main website and was looking for where to log into the website. And the youthful individual helping me thought I was doing a joke because we work in the comedy space, and I had to look dead seriously in his eyes and say, I'm not kidding, do you? How do I sign it for my email? Hopefully he hasn't told the superiors
Starting point is 00:50:20 And hopefully I'll stick around it a little longer But case in point is When we play video games like Xbox Yeah, the game fucking works against me It always has I don't care if we're playing on the same screen From the same PC Fucking dudes have their controllers
Starting point is 00:50:37 They want to hold They won't let me hold their control I'll say fine give me your controller They won't ever give it up So there's something that's going on there Maybe it's the hardware Maybe it's the software I don't know but I have some technological issues
Starting point is 00:50:48 and during the draft I could have kept Kenneth Walker. I didn't for $29 bucks. We do auction draft, $200 budget, 14 teams is the only way to draft. And I could have kept Kenneth Walker for 29, which would have been a heavy discount. For instance, I think the top backs in our league go for like,
Starting point is 00:51:07 what would you say, like 70, 80, maybe even like 90. Yeah, if you're Gibbs or Bijon, you go for above a nine, you go above 90. So huge discount. and I kept Loveland who he didn't have a good week. So, and he put up zero. Zero couch, zero catch has been 91% route participation. So you're feeling optimistic about that.
Starting point is 00:51:30 I do like that. But in any case, the computer glitch and no one did anything about it. Dude laughed. They continued bidding. Walker went for way less. He went for like 43. I was willing to go up to 60 for him at that point. I ended up getting like Blake quorum
Starting point is 00:51:46 So I'm pissed Dude my my season's whack and then now Our ex champs calling me out telling me that I'm just moaning and not trying to do anything about it He's like you should probably just quit Threaten quitting or something I don't know if I want to do anything that rash But there's no question I got boned and I'm definitely not feeling any empathy from my bros It's tough man, it sounds hard
Starting point is 00:52:11 So what did you want us to do in the moment I don't even know, to be honest. In the moment, I was so frazzled, trying to figure out, was it my Wi-Fi, is it the ESPN app? Is it the, you know, and the glitches, do I don't know if anything, has anything ever glitched on you before? Not during the draft. It was shocking.
Starting point is 00:52:33 There was a little jam up. I think it was just when guys were bidding at the same time, but there was a few moments where I thought, like, my computer wasn't responding to my clicking of bid. but you're in such a heightened state it's hard to know what's user error and what's something deeper than that this is definitely deeper
Starting point is 00:52:52 definitely dude could not have been user error and definitely was the glitch and I was whack it was like the button didn't even appear on my screen there are some dudes in our league who do have good technical capabilities and I'm definitely turning an eye towards them you know could they have done something
Starting point is 00:53:08 I don't know I got a question for striders Did this glitch hurt more after you saw his week one performance? Yeah, it's hard to talk about now, dude. I've been really upset. I started texting the guys immediately. In fact, one of the bros in our league Joe said I was just waiting for Strider to do a glitch text. He goes, I even saw the dots of him about to type.
Starting point is 00:53:32 I don't know what he was going to type, and I was just typing glitch. And even the boys have always called me bitch boy, generally for my lack of ability to move well laterally, take risks like skydiving or going hard on ATVs or jet skues. I think it's more of that than you're actually pretty fast. So I'd say it's more of that. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Yeah. But now they call me, they call me glitch boy. So, I'm just fucked. Yeah. No, I think you're, you still got some boys. You should need Loveland to come alive. I'm worried about Drake London, dude.
Starting point is 00:54:11 See, we've been talking, I've been talking shit to you about Rashi Rice. And then as soon as I talk shit to you, God punished me and he scored a touchdown. This is true too. So Strider's tough to get him to talk shit, and I'm always trying to bait him into it. And in the two instances in the last week where he has talked shit to me, he's felt immediate consequences. First, he picked on me about Rashi Rice, and then Tua got hurt from the Falcons, which impacted Drake London on your team. And then immediately when you said Rashi Rice sucks, two seconds later, he scored a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Do you glean anything from that? Do you think God is telling you to talk more shit or to talk less shit? It's difficult. I think I need to go see a priest. I need to go see someone, dude. Because I don't know what's going on. I'm pretty sure I got the most points against this week, too. I didn't look at all the scores.
Starting point is 00:55:10 I couldn't look at the app. I couldn't even open it. But all your concerns about my team were valid. Rashi Rice did not look good. And Kenneth Walker did take a lot of his short catches. So I'm hoping it's just a health thing and he's still rounding into form, but he might not have that usage that he had a year ago. So I got to give you credit there.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Maybe I'm misallocated. But you're happy about Omaran Hampton? Did you see his first touchdown? Do you see his touchdown? No, I didn't get a chance to watch any ball. No, I didn't see it. It's like the sickest nine-yard run ever. But then he had one of the dumbest fumbles I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:55:50 He ran into his own guy. was very upsetting. And from there, very upsetting. But he's good. Ladd-McConkie. He's too small, dude. You can't draft small receivers, bro.
Starting point is 00:56:02 I'm not drafting small guys anymore. He got cracked. I can't do it. He was having such a good day. I was like, this is my player. I was like, this is my guy. I got him. Well, Jake's a Chargers fan,
Starting point is 00:56:13 and I think we got to flag it now. I think Herbert might stink. I don't know. It's really early, man. It's a new offensive of scheme, not only a new coordinator, but a brand new running back coach, a brand new wide receiver coach, a brand new tight ends coach.
Starting point is 00:56:27 They literally revamped the whole thing, and then he played 10 minutes in a preseason game. He didn't win much in college. He doesn't win big games in the pros. He's all banged up. Maybe he just looks really good. I've been battling this in the group chat
Starting point is 00:56:42 all fucking week. And these guys are like Vikings fans and believed in J.J. McCarthy and shit. And I'm like, bro, just shut the fuck up. I don't know if you can tell me who a would quarterback is and who you can't you know I love to hear you like bro the thing is about Herbert okay he's got a rocket of an arm he can throw that bitch 70 yards
Starting point is 00:56:59 okay does he throw four interceptions in a playoff game yeah but he might win you 12 games in a season you got it I don't know you know he's a he also has no weapons like there's nobody around it Oregon thing dude oh it's just the Oregon yeah
Starting point is 00:57:14 yeah Dante Moore the Oregon thing dude all right well strider we love you dude thank you for informing us on that Thank you, dude. Thank you for giving me a safe space to communicate this in and not dropping the hammer on me. And I think,
Starting point is 00:57:28 who had more points this week between us? You blew me out. I think we were lowest points for the week. We played like abs. I mean, we lost Arnold right away, but our team stunk. Dude, all the older dudes in our league, I think have had bad days. Like, I think Joe's team's week or mine team's week. But it's only week one, do we can't panic.
Starting point is 00:57:46 But no, no, not panicking yet. But we're not feeling great. But thanks, man. Yeah, it's not good. Love you, bro. Later, glitch boy. Dude. Chad, where are you at on Herbert?
Starting point is 00:58:00 Dude, I didn't really get to watch games this weekend. He played pretty bad. He played bad. And they played the Cardinals who were normally not good, but they looked motivated as hell. But it felt like a game they should win. I mean, I've always liked Herbert. He's a great flow.
Starting point is 00:58:16 He looks good. That's the thing. He feels, like, competent. He sounds like a tough dude. then you have like that broken hand and he just kept powering through it. We saw that one game where he had like the chest injury and he still slung that seed at the end of the game against the doubt. But he does kind of feel like a guy who can get you close but not get you over the edge.
Starting point is 00:58:33 That's my instinct on him. Sorry Jake. But I'm also a dumb ass with football. That's a pretty good take. I mean, yeah, he hasn't really proven that he is better than average at this point. But also he's only 20. and everyone put, ever since Tom Brady, Pat Mahomes, they all think you got to be fucking 25 and win a Super Bowl and you're the greatest
Starting point is 00:58:57 quarterback ever. He can still be the greatest quarterback ever if he wins the next two or three out of the next five. He's not going to be the greatest quarterback ever. Listen, listen, everyone was getting on a hardball. He might not be. But if he wins the next two to three Super Bowls, you have to be like, all right, this guy's fucking pretty damn good. Yes.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Okay. If he wins two or three Super Bowls, he'll be pretty damn good. Then there's still time. He's probably got like eight years left in his career. Yeah. Yeah. He's got all the tools. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:22 Well, he doesn't really. Like, he has no ride receivers, a shit line. I mean, physically, he's a big guy. He's athletic. He's got a hose. How big is he? He's like 6'6. Damn.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Got a fucking smoke show of a fucking Madison Beer girlfriend. Yeah, she seems to be a nice boon to his life. For sure. Yeah. God bless. We almost dated. And so I... You and Madison Beer?
Starting point is 00:59:47 Yeah, but I think it worked out. Yeah, yeah. Sorry. No, it's all good. I wasn't that into it, to be honest. Yeah, I know. I remember you brought that up. Don't clip this.
Starting point is 00:59:56 Yeah. I, um, where did she come from? I think she was like a popular social media person and then she did some music stuff too, but she'd be like in a, who's the kid? The guy who's the Dobrook. Yeah, she'd be like in his vids and stuff. Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:00:13 I think so. I mean, I don't know. It's almost, I don't know what's more, it's definitely more embarrassing to know, but I generally not. totally sure. Oh. Bebes. Oh, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:00:28 She's been famous since she was 13? That's awesome. Do you know any of her music? No. She's so hot. Yeah, she's pretty. Wait, so dude, I was watching college football on Saturday.
Starting point is 01:00:45 And I was watching Archie Manning, and he threw a couple bad balls. And I posted Archie Manning's not the guy. He then proceeded to have the biggest comeback in UT history and beat number one ranked Ohio State. Wow. And I caught a lot of shit, rightfully so, from Texas fans being like, you're an idiot. How do you like that? You know, suck my dick, just normal stuff.
Starting point is 01:01:08 And I was wrong because I said they should bench him. I want to put this on record right now, though. I was wrong then, but I don't think I'll be wrong for long. I'm doing it right now. I'm lining it up. Texas will lose at least three games this year. And Archie Manning, he seems like a sweet guy. I wish him a good life.
Starting point is 01:01:31 I don't want to see anyone fail, but I don't think he's the guy. And I hope the UT fans hear that. And you know what? If I'm wrong, I'll gladly eat shit. I'll be happy if he's good. But I'm just saying when I'm seeing, I don't think he's the guy. But I did get a lot of, I got a lot of taunting text messages. And at first I was just taking them
Starting point is 01:01:53 after a while I was like Let's revisit this in three months I will not forget you Can I follow up on that? I would just like to say my babe of the year Is football This time of year man Like let's go
Starting point is 01:02:04 I'm in a whole other fucking mode Of fucking electricity running through my life Yes I'm in group chats upon group chats Of guys just at each other's neck Like fuck you no fuck you My team's better My quarterback's better
Starting point is 01:02:15 Your team sucks ass During the game of like their team playing And they're getting blown out We're in the text like Ha ha this guy fucking sucks, you know? Like, we're really rubbing it in. It's so fun.
Starting point is 01:02:24 And it's all because of football, bro. It's all because of football. One drop pass and you're like, you better drop them, dude. Yeah, yeah. Like this year, oh, it's, I'm muted again. This year, it's like, well, a lot of my friends are like Vikings, bears, cowboys, and, like, Packers fans, like Midwest, kind of middle of the country teams. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:44 And they always are like mid average, right? And that's like this year, the Vikings fans were high on Kyler Murray. He fucking gets injured. Rudy's ass and then we're like, you should have stuck with wins immediately. Just 40 messages in a group chat. Like people freaking out. It's just incredible, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:59 It's the best. Dude, the Bears had a good game, yeah? 59 points. They looked unbelievable. Caleb just makes the craziest throws I've ever seen. Do you talk to Joe? Yeah, I try to call him on Monday, but we missed each other. He called me back and I couldn't pick up.
Starting point is 01:03:15 I asked him if we could call him every week on the pod because I'm like, dude, I feel like the Bears are going to have this historic season. It'd be great to, you know, touch base with you and have the audience. Guys, message Joe and tell him he want to do that, but he was adamantly against it. Really? He's like, I'm not doing that. Really? He's like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Why would I do that? I'm like, because you're a comedian and we're friends and it's a podcast and it's interesting. And then he's like, it's not interesting, John. You're an idiot. Is this because he thinks it will jinx it? Probably. And we called, remember last year I tried to do a bit where we'd call them after their loss and I thought we'd talk friendly shit
Starting point is 01:03:53 and he picked up the phone. It sounded like he was standing on a bridge about to kill himself. I will say, like, knowing him, maybe he's the wrong guy to do this with, but that's why I think he's the right guy because he's so funny and he takes it so serious.
Starting point is 01:04:05 But like when I lived with him, when the bears would lose, it was a sad house. Like he would be, he'd come in the door and I'd like, how you do? And he's like, I don't want to talk to you.
Starting point is 01:04:14 And like, he wasn't joking. Like, he was literally despondent. And that's when I realized like SoCal dudes. Like, I love sports, but I don't have that. that level of attachment to my teams that Joe has. Like, it's deep. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:25 And yeah, he'd be bummed out for like 24 hours. So I kind of get where he's coming from. But they look so good. I'm like, it'd be cool to, you know, this would be like touching base with you the year the Cubs won the World Series. Like it could be that kind of magical run. So I'm not doing it hoping they'll lose. I'm hoping we'll talk to him and they'll win the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:04:41 And we could talk to him every week and we could like make a super video of like his feelings and stuff. But, uh, I mean, Chudwin's always a good option. Yes. You know, you just got to do it chuds. But yeah, Joe, uh. Yeah, pressure Joe, guys. Message him and tell him, let us call him on the pod and do a weekly
Starting point is 01:05:01 Bears checkup. But I'm telling me, he's not going to be, and then he's like, why you got these? I don't need people telling me what to do, John. All right? Tell him to cut it out. I'm not doing that. I just want to watch the games of G-N-O's East. Because they let you listen with the volume.
Starting point is 01:05:22 I've got to go, I got to go watch a game with Joe. of fun. That place is great. Come on. God. Yeah, then we can talk shit to him like, oh, you got to fire. We're not firing Ben Johnson. Why would you say that? Like, you can just say like insane shit to him and he gets... Caleb's not a bad quarterback. Come on. He's not a bad guy. What are you talking about? Uh, and he's nice. He's slinging it. I mean, I worry, can he, can he throw on timing or does he have to wait for the play to break? I think there's so much shit I don't want to talk to him. Yeah. Oh, okay, I got a bit. Dude, the Nazi lowriders, the white supremacist prison gang, very scary.
Starting point is 01:06:06 But isn't there kind of built-in irony that their name is Nazi lowriders and lowriders comes from Mexican culture? Like wouldn't that be like, I'm in like a group that hates Jewish people and we're called the salmon and locks? And we're like, no, we hate them, but they nailed it with that thing. that was sorry if that was if I was in a Jewish hate group but we were called the bagel and locks
Starting point is 01:06:31 and I was like oh no we hate Jewish people but they nailed it with that one thing and you always eat locks and I'm always eating bagels and locks and like they're so good dude so well you wouldn't have this with the people you dislike like Nazi load riders I'm like you know do the Nazi load riders ride around in low riders I mean they're in prison so I don't even know how much they're driving
Starting point is 01:06:53 but maybe when they get out and stuff Yeah. That's like if they were like, hey, we're the Nazi, the Nazi Karnay Asada. I'd be like, well, dude, you can't really do it that way. It'd be like the Nazi hip hop group. Yeah. Yeah, we're the Nazi run DMCs. You're like, that's a black group, dude.
Starting point is 01:07:13 That don't even work, man. We're the Nazi NWA. You're like, no, man. That whole thing's super black, bro. I just think it's, yeah, it's hilarious. They name themselves that. respect they're probably good guys
