Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, it's your ceiling vent, so I'm dripping. Could be the rain, could be the upstairs bathroom. Yikes. You could hire the guy your neighbor recommended, but I'm pretty sure that's just his cousin. Do we know if he's licensed, or does he just own a ladder? Listen to your home. Go with Thumbtack. Upload a photo or voice note, and we'll diagnose your project and match you with the right pro for the job. Thumbtack, we know homes.
Starting point is 00:00:28 Hire the right pro today. Joe, what's up, dude? What number you call on me from? Uh, jakes. Why? Because you're on the pot. Hey, Joe, I'm here too. Listen, I gotta go.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Wait, no, come on, go on, go on. No, I literally got to go. Wait, can you just... I thought this was like my contact lens order calling. Wait, can you just... Because the audience is worried. They just want to know where you're at. This will come out after next week.
Starting point is 00:01:12 games. I gotta go to the comedy store. Okay, but are you feeling okay about Caleb? Do you feel optimistic now that we know it's not a season-ending injury? Yes, I feel great. All right, and you're not, you don't, because when we talked after the first week, you thought it might be the best scoring offense in history. Do you still have that confidence?
Starting point is 00:01:31 I didn't say any of that. You did say that. No, I didn't say that. I don't make claims like that. Joe, don't make me go all the way with what you said and also what you didn't say, what you implied. You know what? Are you telling people to message me? Because I got some messages from people.
Starting point is 00:01:56 We do want you to be our Bears correspondent this season. I mean, what do you want me to say? We just want to know how you feel about the Bears. It was a tough, L. You know, Florida's dialed it up. I love that team so much. I fucking love that. fucking team.
Starting point is 00:02:17 All right. What else you need to know? Well, I mean, how do you feel about the year? Feel great about it. I feel excited. Are you worried about Loveland? One catch, three yards, two underperforming weeks in a row. Will he turn it around?
Starting point is 00:02:37 15 games left in the regular season. I love it. What about the backfield? Is it Swift's or do we need to let Kyle take over? Swift had the big fumble. They're both amazing. Do you still think Justin Fields was a good quarterback? Listen, man.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I'm not here to talk about the past. You're doing the McGuire. He's doing the McGuire. Justin was great. I see Joe's so loyal. He won't bad mouth. He's just a good guy. Joe.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Listen, I'm going over my step. Hey, can I say this? I really enjoy this. I think the audience will really like it. Thank you, Joe. We'll call you. We won't be able to call you after this week's games because big dogs on his honeymoon.
Starting point is 00:03:32 But we'll call you soon with the Bears update. Yeah, I think I kept it pretty positive this time. Dude, after a loss, too. I appreciate your stoic optimist. Not even stoic. I appreciate your optimism. It's very impressive. Joe, it would mean a lot to a lot of people
Starting point is 00:03:48 we could call you this season. And it would mean a lot. It would mean a lot to the bears too, I think. All right, yeah, we'll see how it goes. All right. Well, we're rooting for you, dude. And I'm going to be nice. I want to say shithead things right now and be a little fucker,
Starting point is 00:04:06 but I'm going to resist being a little fucker because I love you and I'm so honored that you did this. Thank you. Yeah, well, you sprung it upon me. You called me from a random number. I thought it was about my contact lenses. But it was great to talk to you guys, but I got to go. I got to go to the comedy store now. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Are you excited for Chad's wedding? Are we going to get it after it? Yeah, it's going to be awesome. Yeah. Joe, you're going to sling that hog? I still need clothes for that wedding, but I'll get them. Hey, you want to go shopping? I still need to get clothes for the white night.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Do you want to get some, do you want to shop together? Yeah, let's go tomorrow afternoon. Perfect. Joe, you can, you don't have to wear pants. Yeah, you know what? That helps a lot. yeah I actually don't want you to wear pants
Starting point is 00:05:00 yeah I bet alright it's gonna be great I'm excited to see you guys but I'll talk to you later alright I love you buddy yeah I love you guys bye
Starting point is 00:05:15 love you Joe what a great call glad we surprised him he's so funny he's so funny I thought that was a call about my contact lenses yeah Justin he's great yeah he's good
Starting point is 00:05:35 guys we are live from the pod it's the week of I believe this was coming out the early week of October yeah um sick dude fired up to be here we got Jake on the sticks
Starting point is 00:05:53 my compadrage on Thomas what up boom claps Stokers. And dude, just friggin' chilling. It's a big week, too, because this will come out after. We can use the football schedule as a way to demark it, but we're recording before week three games. It'll come out after week three games.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Because as I mentioned during the joke hall, you will be out of town on your honeymoon in Hawaii. Maui-Wawi. And then this weekend, the big day soon approaches. It's a big day. You're officiating. Yeah, dude, I'm really nervous.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Are you nervous? I started getting really nervous today. Oh, you're going to crush it. And I don't want to project on you, but I'm stressed about the wedding all together. I feel stress. What do you feel stress about? I just wanted to go great. I wanted to be super fun.
Starting point is 00:06:42 I think it'll be a lot of fun. You know, I think, I think. I did too, by the way. Everyone, everyone coming has a great vibe. So I'm not worried about the vibe. I think it'll be a lot of fun. But I think too, you know, I think we can put a lot of pressure on ourselves to like perform well, you know, sure.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Like nail like nail beats. Like we have our dance. We're trying to like rehearse, nail the dance, all that stuff. But it's really just about the vibe. Yes. As long as the vibe is good, as long as people are like, all right, you know, they love each other. Everyone's happy to be here. I think that's all you need.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Totally. And I think most people don't even really remember the ceremony in much detail. No. remember the party afterwards. Yeah, and that's kind of what you, your memory holds on to. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah, I think, uh, I think, I think for you just be like, maybe just, in your mind, like mindset, have fun.
Starting point is 00:07:40 That's all, that's all. I'll have a good time. Copy that. And, uh, did we, I mean,
Starting point is 00:07:44 it's gonna be fun. We have Lola walk down. I'm really excited about that. Um, and, uh, yeah, it's gonna be great.
Starting point is 00:07:52 be good yeah did you have you done your vows I've done my uh service for the ceremony so we're doing like spoken and then a longer written vows I've done you know I've got like a rough draft of like the spoken ones you rehearsing no maybe I should do you still because when when we were coming up doing open mics and stuff you used to rehearse in your room
Starting point is 00:08:16 no I should mic and mic stand I think I should bring that back it was cool yeah because I was thinking of doing like I was thinking of doing like maybe like trying like to do like a preach things on stage maybe maybe giving that shot
Starting point is 00:08:35 see how it works yeah you should totally try just seeing like if like that could translate so just practice of those I don't know um well why wouldn't you try what's it
Starting point is 00:08:48 why wouldn't you I know I'm I'm going to. Yeah. But I just had that thought last time. I'm like, maybe I should try some, maybe I should try to like adapt a preach for the stage. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Yeah, you totally should. But that, but then that would require maybe a little more rehearsal. And, like, kind of like finding it at home and then going on stage doing that. Because now when I write bits, like I kind of like, I'll have like notes. I'll have like an idea of what I want to say and just kind of finding it on stage. But I think, I think for me, me person I think I work better when I when I you know I know what I'm going to say got it down yeah
Starting point is 00:09:28 and then you're very righterly yeah can play from there that's what demetre martin does too yeah yeah there's some acts that work better that way George Carlin everything was scripted oh George Carlin yeah yeah yeah I think both those dudes wrote it all out yeah I like doing that I like know what I'm gonna say and I think I just need to like put that effort back in after the wedding all you know start doing that. It is tough. Time is such a slippery. Dude, in your 30s, it goes by fast. Yeah. They say the days go slow and the years go fast. And I'll, I'll spend time stressing a lot, too. Yeah. I just feel very, and I have an easy life, but I still, just because the hedonic
Starting point is 00:10:10 treadmill of what I'm used to, find it challenging, because I'll be like, all right, I'm doing the campaign. I'm trying to do this other, like, we have, I'm doing like this other creative project. I'm trying to get moving. We have the stuff we do together. then I have the kids and then you know trying to sell tickets for stand-up and honestly like and then just shit that comes up you know like your the car door is not working on the van like when do I get that replaced paperwork stuff for when me and my lady get married that just kind of falls to waste of taxes and stuff all that she's all just like normal but I don't know I'm not well equipped for it right I'm not like a very type A person so I can find just the tedium of doing stuff to be really stressful. Yeah. Like I'll just sit there and be like, oh man. And I won't do anything.
Starting point is 00:10:59 I'll just be like, this is tough. Yeah. But you know what's helped me a little bit is I have a family member who's going through a tough time and I'm helping them out. And which feels good for my soul, but also sometimes it's nice to hear that they're struggling because I'm not so bad. Oh, yeah, totally.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I think, I think, too, it's like we can kind of like look at everyone else and be like, They're doing just fine, but I think everyone's, dude, I wake up, you know, I'll wake up at like 630, you're like, how am I going to do this? You know what I mean? Where you just sort of like, it feels like you have so much to do and you're like, I don't know how I'm going to do. Like, like, it just, the hill seems so high. And you're like, dude, how do I climb this fucking thing?
Starting point is 00:11:48 Especially too, because like, like, you're all about Stoke. Uh-huh. So, like, you can't be like, you got to push up the hill and you got to make it look fun. Right. Or it's not stoke-inducing. Yeah. And so, like, I can relate to it right now because I'm running for city council and I'm like, kind of feeling shitty about it.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Like, I haven't been able to concentrate it on it the way I want to just because I've been busy with the kids and like just life in general. But that's not inspiring. And I'm supposed to get people to vote for me. And I can't be like, hey, I'm going through a tough time. They're like, what? You're supposed to help me with my tough time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Not talk about how you're feeling. That's not what a civil servant does. And I'm like, oh, whoa, like, I got to be inspiring. Yeah. When I don't feel like being inspiring. Yeah. And then, you know, some of these guys are good at that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:34 I mean, dude, you look at some presidents when the country's in complete disarray and turmoil and they got to be like, you got to be the guy who can be like, dude, we can pull through. Yeah, it would have been crazy for like Churchill to get on the radio. I'm like, you guys, I'm having a tough day. And I just don't feel like being inspiring right now. Yeah. Yeah, I do. I mean, we're getting bomb.
Starting point is 00:12:52 During like Dunker. Bring their Riz, man. Yeah, during like Dunkirk, he's like, I don't, I don't know, dude. Who knows what's going to happen? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can't do that. I've been watching, I've been, you know, every time 9-11 comes around, I like get obsessed with it. So I've been watching a ton of like 9-11 docs and stuff. And it's like, um, George Bush, you know, say what you want about the Iraq war and stuff. But those first few months after 9-11, yeah, it was a good idea. Dude, when he, uh, yeah. Dude, when he's on the rubble and they're like, I can't hear, he's like, I can hear you.
Starting point is 00:13:27 And whoever knocked these buildings down, they're going to hear from all of us soon. That's a good line. It's like, you know, at that moment, or Giuliani, you know, like I was listening to this guy who's a police commissioner talking about Giuliani, where, you know, where he like comes upon the buildings, you know, when they're still on fire and stuff. Yeah. And he first sees it, and he's like, oh my God. But he has to pull himself together and be like, we can get through this where New Yorkers were strong. And I think maybe even just like saying that out loud, just be like, we can get it, we'll do it. Reinforces, it's kind of like fake it until you make it a little bit.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah, but then like, do you see all those files that Mondani released? No, I haven't looked in that. About 9-11? No. where Giuliani did like a cover up on like the toxic fumes that were coming out of ground zero. Yes, yeah, I missed all of that. You want me to stop talking about. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:14:23 I'm interested. I've just been watching documentaries on like, like survivors talking about. I love those too. I'm making another point. But like when 9-11 happened, I watched, they did like a U-2. They cut it to like 9-11 footage from like their first responders and stuff to walk on. It was like beautiful. And then they did the All-Star tribute, which I think was originally supposed to be for like AIDS help.
Starting point is 00:14:45 but then they switched it to 9-11 and like the album all the stuff that came out I was like yeah gripping yeah and so beautiful because there was really people at their best right like being resilient and coming together but I guess the hard the hard thing for me sometimes and I'm like I'm like like what is better and not that they're mutually exclusive and now we're having like a serious talk so I apologize to the to the listeners like is it better to like fake it so you make it but also be not telling people about how catastrophic it really is in hopes of just like keeping everything together or is it better to say how bad it is and say we might not have a way out um that's a good
Starting point is 00:15:36 question i don't know i mean so so well like let's with the juliani thing so he knew that the He knew that they're toxic. You know, it was basically like all the smoke and all the rubble. Yeah, like the asbestos and all the, like whatever the dangerous. According to the five, when did he know? I think they knew almost the whole time. Oh, they knew the whole time. But they were so worried about like just business completely collapsing.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Right. And like people not getting back to their way of life and living in like total fear. Yeah. That they were like, hey, we got to like. we got to push this down and tell people it's safe. And then a lot of people got sick as a result. Yeah, a lot of people, a lot people are dying. It's like something like 15, 20,000.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Is that how many died? Something like that. Jeez, Louises. I mean, you know, I don't know if it's directly, but yeah, it's something like that. And people come here to get stoked. And that's what we're doing for you guys right now is getting you stoked. Yeah, I mean, I love that.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Because like when George Bush threw that pitch. Oh. Have you been watching that? And he threw the strike? He nailed that pitch. He's got a good arm. Oh, dude, Creme James is getting into the, uh, oh, he's getting into the conspiracies. Oh, whoa, cream coming in a fast and hard.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Well, there is, okay, so, uh, I mean, dude, honestly, I don't know the answer to that question. I don't know. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. If he had been like, look, this whole giant pile is going to give. of everyone cancer. It's kind of like, that's like a Chernobyl kind of situation.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Yeah. In the middle of New York. Yeah. That's, I mean, that's a tough sitch, dude. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Because they got to clean it up, right? I mean, I mean, maybe they could have given them, you know, the right kind of protective wear. Would it have freaked out the general pop?
Starting point is 00:17:38 And then, like, people wouldn't have stayed in Manhattan? I don't know. So I'll say this. And this will be part of my city council pitch. I may not be a perfect leader in crisis because I'll probably allow
Starting point is 00:17:52 what's unpredictable about it or what could be devastating about it. Register on my face. And there may be uncertainty in my answer. But I'll also not be able to lie if that's happening. If there's carcinogens, I like, guys,
Starting point is 00:18:10 downtown is totally fucked. I would go the other way and be like, if I was putting a number on it, I bet about $100,000 a year are going to die. So start making preparations. Don't trust anyone. And good luck out there. Guys, I'm freaking out.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Yeah, and I'm freaking out because it's going to fall on my head. And honestly, we don't have the money to fix it for everybody. All right, let's go to our leader. He's going to make a public statement. The mayor of New York, Mr. J.T. Parr. What do you have for us? It's a fucking disaster.
Starting point is 00:18:39 It's an environmental disaster. It's a total health hazard. Don't listen to when anybody tells you differently. They just want you to go back to work. It's going to be your fucking nightmare for a while. Yeah, they did an effective job. I mean, I don't like them, but the terrorists did an effective job with their attack. They have totally destabilized us.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Okay, Mr. Mayor. What do we do about the giant pile of rubble? How should we go about cleaning that up? And when can Americans get back to work? I'm gonna be honest with you. It's way above my pay grade. I was a I'll pretend I have Giuliani's background as a lawyer I never worked in anything scientific I'm a tough on crime guy. I you know I really don't know it's a good question and we should find an answer to that hopefully soon but it's impossible to know because I don't even to be honest with you I don't even have the domain knowledge to know if the scientists are telling the truth
Starting point is 00:19:36 So they could be lying to me and I could be regurgitating that lie to you. So you really shouldn't trust me as the deliverer of any of this news. Okay. And Mr. Mayor, what do you say to do you think we have a chance of finding some survivors in the rebel? Oh, probably not. But I've been wrong about stuff like that before. I tend to be too cynical. Like if I see a football player fall in the field, I assume it's a season-ending injury.
Starting point is 00:20:03 It's probably some remnant of like kind of survival. psychology that's just overstimulated in my brain from like ADHD but I would bet no but again you should talk to people who have been in comparable situations and I haven't I've never been in a disaster zone like this you know Mr. Mayor
Starting point is 00:20:20 when do you think we can get back to air travel are we good to start flying again I mean that's that's up to you but I mean if it was me I wouldn't do it because I would assume they're going to do more attacks because the first one was so successful so it's really up to you do you Do you feel safe?
Starting point is 00:20:36 Like, I can't tell you. I'm not, I don't work in Al-Qaeda, so I don't know what their plan is for a follow-up. But, yeah, if you like, is it important? Maybe you should go. Mr. Maird, are there terrorists in New York City right now? Oh, for sure. And probably more being spawned because of the success of the attack, where there's kind of a memetic thing in people where we chase what brings status.
Starting point is 00:20:59 And whether you like it or not, these guys are prominent now. And I think that's going to create, you know, spontaneous sleeper. probably all over the country okay and I guess some do you have any final words to say to the to New Yorkers to American people yeah go Nix go Yankees love you guys see it's not that hard of a job I don't know if that would work I see here's what's wrong about me I would be really fucking here's what's wrong with me I would vote for that guy I thought this guy's a straight shooter man yeah I do well you know what now
Starting point is 00:21:35 Nowadays, that could be what people want. It might work, yeah. That might be exactly what the American people need. I would be, you know what? I've tried it a little bit. And I don't know if they were, like I was at my kid's school had a, they call it a kid shell at it. It was like a big concert for the kids.
Starting point is 00:21:55 And one of the moms, who's really sweet. Her husband's awesome too. I was chatting with them and the mom came where she's like, I voted for you. And I was like, I'm not going to win. And she's like, don't say that. I believe in you. I was like, oh, fuck. I was like, I'm boxed in.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Like, I got to do, like, people, I don't know. They want to vote for someone. There's something in us where we want to believe the best version of it. Yeah, I mean. Which isn't unfair to them. It's weird that I think otherwise. But, uh. Well, I think, yeah, it's like, well, I think you with like any politician who's kind of like, like, let me, like Trump or whatever, he's like, we're going to have like a golden age of America.
Starting point is 00:22:31 We're going to. Yeah. You know, we're going to, we're going to. You got to have a vision. Yeah, we're going to become the best version of America there's ever been. We're going to stop foreign wars. Everything's going to be cheap. We're all going to be rich.
Starting point is 00:22:45 And everyone's like, yeah. Yes. And then he's like, we're going to war with Iran. We're like, wait, dude, that was not what you said. He's like, no, they're a threat. I'm like, are they? Yeah. You campaign on poetry and you govern in prose.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Yeah. I do neither. I think you can win genuinely You know it would be nice I'm just a little behind We'll see how the debate goes tomorrow And honestly I think part of my brain has like a A narrative component to it
Starting point is 00:23:18 We're like I want to start slow I want to start with low expectations And then exceed them Okay But I need to lock in And it's no one cares about these excuses I'm just talking to myself I need to lock in
Starting point is 00:23:27 I did a lot better work early last time But I didn't know as much So I have a little bit of a head start this time Because I'm much more aware of what the issues are and like what the policy suggestions and options are around them but I'm not I got to lock in
Starting point is 00:23:42 yeah otherwise why would you vote for me I agree with people when they say that I think uh I mean I think you'll crush it at the debates because I think you're just naturally good at that and I believe in you I dude I think you would crush it on the council so it's a tough gig though well dude I believe in you I appreciate that I think you'd be a great councilman you know what yeah maybe yeah it does look tough i mean wherever we go in there i'm like
Starting point is 00:24:09 you know the minutiae of it all you know you you you're detailed detail detail i'm like and i'm i'm asleep in two minutes i've always been really into you love it yeah you've always loved it like you you're locked in i'm like dude get me the fuck out of here um so that's why i believe in you you you genuinely have a passion for you It's not an ego trip for you. You love this shit. Yeah, I do love it. I do love learning about the cities, how they operate, what the conflicts are, what the potential fixes are.
Starting point is 00:24:45 But I was almost thinking about this. Could a politician do this as a flip? Instead of saying, hey, you should vote for me and here's why. Could you flip it and say, tell me why I should represent you? Yeah. I mean, why not? Like, kind of do the, like, the reverse psychology on it and be like, I'm not chasing votes. You guys should all chase me and tell me that I should win.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Yeah, play it cool. Be like, should I vote for you? If you want, yeah. Why would you? Why should I want to be city council for you? Why should I want your vote? Yeah, like kind of do the spin job. But then I think I'm like,
Starting point is 00:25:32 grasping at straws a little bit. I'm like, why don't you just tell them what your vision is? Just get to the vision. What's the vision for the city? Neg the voters. I mean, you could do the Spencer Pratt approach where you go around Burbank and you like, you see this shit?
Starting point is 00:25:45 You see all these homeless people there? You let the city council do this? Don't LA my Burbank. I mean, they're kind of on that. Oh, really? Yeah, they're on that jazz. Oh, wow. Yeah, you could do that.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Just go around and be like, dude, like, what are we doing here? And then the dog angle for Pratt works so well. What was his dog angle? He's like, we got dogs to save. There are dogs overdosing in Skid Row. Dogs being killed. This administration, they have malice towards dogs.
Starting point is 00:26:21 They are actively killing dogs. They're letting dogs be abused by the homeless. And, I mean, dude, you start a video. Yeah. A campaign where you're like, we have dogs. dogs to save, I'm in. But you know how I am about dogs, too.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Dude, yeah. I know. I did you start your video. And you're like, you'd be like, you'd be like, look, dogs are not my priority. Yeah. Pick up your dog shit. I'm really about owner accountability. It would be something I might run on. What up, guys. We were brought to you by Highland Style. Guys, I love Highland Style.

It doesn't have any of that gunk in there, like the paraben's or whatever that is. It has the good stuff in there that keeps your flow health.
Starting point is 00:27:32 They reached out to me because I was like I'm using this one hair product and they're like dude that's destroying your flow And I was like I can't have that. I will give Highland style a try and I've never been happier I love Highland style they're absolute legends They've got loose okay the glacial cream why it's got loose textured by the beach flow mat finish But if you're looking for a little more hold with the same effortless surfer look Try the glacial clay pomade boon and Ben politely roast me over DM because I was like dude I'm using this one thing and they're like you can't do that so I was like
Starting point is 00:28:05 now I'm a Highland Style guy forever I love Highland Style hair and scalp health starts in the shower so guys if you want your flow looking good feeling good use Highland Style use code go deep at checkout for 20% off your first order at Highland Style I was fired up tonight watching Devante Adams just absolutely put on a clinic against the Giants that was he's gonna be 34 this year
Starting point is 00:28:31 year. I feel like he's Jerry Rice. Like, I think he's got such good conditioning, such good routes. He could play until he's 38, maybe even 40. Dude, in Stafford, no one, no quarterback ever has been better at just feeding their number one than Stafford. Like, whether it's Megatron,
Starting point is 00:28:48 Cooper Cup, Puka, DeVonte, he just gets them the ball. Did I tell you I met Stafford? You did? Yeah. Was he cool? At a Magic Mind event. Dude, he's the coolest. He loves our videos. Really? He is like, he says he is, uh,
Starting point is 00:29:00 his a trainer or his train is like PT guy um like uh well like they'll watch videos while they're doing PT I love that guy man that makes me really happy he was so cool he's so you wouldn't he's like
Starting point is 00:29:17 he's so like down to earth where he just seemed like such a normal dude or he's just like he's just a bro he does seem like that he seems just really professional too yeah they had to play towards the end of the first half where they were trying to get in field go range and him and Devante hit a crazy connection.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Devante went like across his body to catch it. And then they had to move fast because the defender was obstructing him to down the ball. And they got it down and they just both came over and knocked helmets. And there was just like this, we were both samurai's of football. Like they were like, no,
Starting point is 00:29:47 like we are just professional. We're old as fuck. And we're still alive because we were just absolutely committed to perfection in this game to execution at the highest level. It got me so jacked up. So I'm not surprised. He's a fan of ours.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Dude. And you know what? Dude. I have just decided I'm going back to the Rams. Dude, let's go. Dude, they got a squad, man. They look good, tonight.
Starting point is 00:30:12 I love the Rams. Huge Rams guy. I'm still going to wear my Jaguar's shirts, but I'm a big, big Rams guy. I'll make the announcement sometime soon. I love the Rams. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:30:26 I said I was going to Jacks, but you know what? It hurt my heart to say that. I'm a Rams guy and you know my soon-to-be-wife she's a Raiders fan Raiders are looking like they could be good this year but you know she and I are gonna have beef and I'm sorry babe and the Super Bowl's at so-fi this year right is it I think so sick and it should it could have been the Chargers but their worst dog-piss team I've ever seen I got Hampton so I watched that whole game I've
Starting point is 00:30:55 seen a team execute worse who do you think is gonna be the half-time show I'm hoping it's Bebes. I've seen that, rumored. I know who it should be. Who? Ed Sheeran. Yes. Let's get Ed Shearin on there. Let's get Ed there, baby. Look, if we can't stop the conflict in Gaza, at least we can stop Ed Shearin.
Starting point is 00:31:19 It's like we can't do structural changes, but we can keep this guy from ever being cool. Dude, people were frothing at the bit to take this guy. I think him looking twerpy. contributed to it too. Yeah. He just looks like someone you want to bully for being weak. They really wanted to do. Like, I was kind of like,
Starting point is 00:31:40 like, you know, his like apology videos. I was looking at the comments and people were just like, too late. You're fucked. You're a piece of shit. Yeah, my wife said everyone at her work was just trashing him today. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Yeah, he's going through it. Yeah, you know, I never looked to him to be much of a moral or political guide for me. Yeah, you know what's saying? Yeah. I guess the rest of America did. Yeah, a lot of people are disappointed. My son is, because he loves that song Drive from F1. Really?
Starting point is 00:32:15 Yeah, and he's three, but he was like, Sheeran's a pussy. Yeah. Wouldn't speak truth to power. It's just funny, too. Like, we're all, like, we got to... I feel like people are like, we're boycott Ned Shearin. Because, like, he relies on popularity so you can do that. But we can't boycott Robert Kraft because he just owns everything.
Starting point is 00:32:32 everything. Yeah, why are people as pissed at Robert Kraft? I think they are, but I think there's like a feeling of powerlessness where it's like, well, what do we do to him? I mean, I guess everyone could like, all the big artists could boycott performing a Gillette and the Patriots could boycott playing, period. Yeah. And maybe that would make a difference. But I think there's just like, you know, for lack of a better term, like the oligarch class is kind of untouchable. And maybe one of the Paul brothers should like try to fight him. that would be dude yeah I mean when they're done it the world we live in I know people don't like when we get political but there's just so much
Starting point is 00:33:08 crazy shit that happens yeah I am compelled to at least mention it yeah when the Paul brothers leave the Pentagon where they were was that yesterday oh yeah they're they're hyping up the troops yeah yeah um yeah I'd love to see one of them fight Robert Kraft yeah you know if I had just returned just had a general interest too yeah and if I just returned from like a hard tour and you know maybe I was on the on that ship the USS what is it
Starting point is 00:33:36 USS Lincoln for eight months terrible conditions and I was just like man I just want to get home I would be really if the White House is like I'm sorry we did that to you
Starting point is 00:33:49 but to make it up for you we're going to get you a pep talk from Logan Paul he was nice that one time we met him at the Congress yeah I was trying to bunk I'm like be braddy
Starting point is 00:34:05 I was like are you happy I just do my best every day I was like it's a rock salad answer brother I kind of feel like a douche now you really just bodyed that yeah he just completely hit me with total sincerity and I had to like
Starting point is 00:34:24 I had like a shit kicker smile on my face that just disappeared and I was like all right I'm out of here man He's very present. Dude, speaking of dudes who are famous, I want to read this Instagram comment like I thought of it as a critique of a Theo Vaughn.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Because Theo Vaughan put up a carousel today and in one of the photos, he was with, I think her name's Hannah Stocking. She was at the Amazon gig we did, right? Wasn't she one of the hosts? Who? When we did the balls up like promotion, was she one of the hosts there, Hannah Stocking? Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Well, whatever. So, like, Theo is in a photo with her and he's doing this. Yeah. I'll send it to you, Jake, so we can put it in that thing. Hey, Theo, love you, man. But what's going out hanging with some of these peto clones and doing the Vril signal? Don't let these Canaanite dwebes bully you, brother. There are more of us who are aware of their greater project and noncing around.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Rogan also let you down and tried to protect you. These sick emaciated Satan worshippers are not the chosen. They're stagnant dysgenic gremlins. That was the comment. And there was like, dude, all the top comments, because you did this thing, where, no, they got Theo too. It's not too late, Theo. Kazarian confirmed.
Starting point is 00:36:19 I don't know what these... I guess Kazarian is like some ancient tribe of, like, Ashkenazi Jew that people think is where, like, the power cabal comes from. Okay. I had to Google all this. Theo with the 666, they got him. Dude, I'm convinced. Not convinced.
Starting point is 00:36:36 All right. I had a joke that I was thinking, like... I think the Illuminati now does do hand signals and photos. But I think they only do. do them because they saw people first accusing them of signals and then they would be with their friends and the alumni they'd be like do do the hand signal that everybody thinks we do yeah like they do it as a bit yeah to like make fun of people for thinking they do them yeah i i would agree i mean people people are like oh you know the jim carrie he was on letterman one time and
Starting point is 00:37:08 he did like some like uh upside down triangle with like his tongue out and he and he He was literally, he was doing that, like, as like, you know. It was a bit? It was a bit. But then people were like, that's not a bit. That one? Yeah. He knows exactly what he's doing.
Starting point is 00:37:30 He's eating box, right? Yeah. He's blowing the whistle, dude. Wow. He's letting everyone know. And then people were following up with me and my comments being like, do you think they got Theo? And I'm like, dude, I, what is that even?
Starting point is 00:37:43 I don't even know, dude. like your post was kind of vague that you were making fun of the comment like it almost seemed like you were joining the fucking conspiracy theories you're like yo look at this shit I do like to be ambiguous about that stuff
Starting point is 00:37:59 because I think if you say what you're thinking it kind of takes the I don't know it just makes it like you're just telling people what to think I'd rather just like leave it up to people a little bit I guarantee he has no idea that means that shit like he just probably was like this looks cool does it even mean that
Starting point is 00:38:14 shit. Some some dude told me in millennial culture this means telescope. Yeah, exactly. He could have just been like trying to look for somebody or something. I will say, now that I'm talking about a lot, there is part of me too, and I don't really believe this, but it's worth mentioning. This is a weird thing to do in a photo.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Yeah. I've never done that. But I think to counter, you know, Theo probably takes so many photos. He's like, what am I going to do another P sign? I have that thought too. Yeah, I got to do something. Or what if the really pretty girl is the one in the Illuminati?
Starting point is 00:38:48 Yeah. And they told her, hey, honey trap. Get Theo on board with this. So you're in a picture with like a beautiful lady. You're nervous. And then she's like, why don't we do this in the photo? Yeah. Great. Whatever you want to do. I mean, it could very well have been that she was like, hey, if you do this hand signal, I'll show you my tits. I mean, did anyone think about that? Like his nephew was like, hey, I'm sick this week. It'd be really cool if I could see a photo. of you, Uncle Theo, doing this. Then he does it and everyone's like, you worship the devil, you peto. You're working with the petos, Theo. Let me take through the camera
Starting point is 00:39:24 one more time. Theo, I saw your hand signal. I know you're working with the peto clones. Dysgenic Gremlins. You're better than this brother. If you need help, wink in your next podcast. I'll make sure you're okay. Dude, we should have that guy on as a guest. He's like, hey, what gets you stoked?
Starting point is 00:39:45 Dude, I was picturing him like, he's like a well-adjusted dude who works at like a marketing firm and he was about to go to lunch with his nice brother and he just dropped that heat right beforehand. Dude, he's your doctor. Yeah. Just before he gives you a physical. He's like, all right, brother. Pants down. Hold on. Theo, you're a dysgenic gremlin.
Starting point is 00:40:06 You've joined their side. All right, cough. Yeah. Cough. Yeah, they look good. Yeah, you're okay. Come back in a couple months. Watch that cholesterol.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Yeah. Yeah, and by the way, Theo joined the petos. Yeah. Stay alive. Yeah. Yeah, that was cracking me up. Yeah, yeah, I mean, in terms of politics, I'm just impressed by people who have consistent views. Because I change my mind all the time.
Starting point is 00:40:31 You know, people convince me of things every day. And like, right now, dude, I love AOC and Megan Kelly. Like, they're so hot. And people are like, are you liberal or conservative? I'm like, well, sexually, I'm liberal, but I'd say socially I'm, you know, a little bit more reserved. Like, you know, I think I don't, I'm not that loud at parties. Yeah, it's nuanced. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Do you? I think people are wondering how come Donald hasn't called out the new head of the Fed, Kevin Warsh, for jacking up interest rates. Like, he'd been given so much heat to Jerome Powell for not cutting, keeping it the same. then he brings in this new dude, his guy, says, here's the mandate, and then Kevin goes the other way. And I think it's very obvious. Kevin is hot. Jerome Powell, for all of his good qualities, is not a stud. Kevin, broad-shouldered, strong jaw, much younger.
Starting point is 00:41:32 These things matter. And I think Donald just wanted a guy in the Fed who would go his own way, but do it looking good. And I think that's why Kevin's getting a pass right now. Dude, ever since Kevin has stepped in, I've been way more interested in the Fed. I mean, he just, he kind of has the look you're looking for for a guy who's dealing in that business stuff. And I liked Powell a lot, but it was professorial. I'm like, take it to the university. You're not ready for prime time, doggie.
Starting point is 00:42:05 And I think Trump appointed him too, like initially, but for like just to the, the, the, the, the governors or whatever, like just in the general team. But I think he was also like he's not, he's not, he thought he was going to get hotter. And then Powell didn't fulfill his side of it. Yeah. I'll say, I mean, Kevin, you jacked up my interest. Yeah, I'm liking where things are headed. Hockey stick growth.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Should we listen to some phone calls? So we got a text in from a stoker. Doesn't say his name. He says, what up? bro chachos my default wild is buck wild but sometimes i get in trouble because i get buck wild when i shouldn't be how do i did how do i get just a little bit of wild without going buck wild thanks for the advice sent at 537 a m thursday you got to have a dh bro designated hitter that's a bro that's a bro that just socks you every time you get too out of control that's it dearest friends he's my best man
Starting point is 00:43:35 of my wedding. He just recently broke up with his girlfriend who was like one of the bridesmaids for my wife. She's also one of my best friends. We're very, very close with the both of them. And at my wedding, this bridesmaid who I'm very close with, she kind of started hitting it off with one of my high school friends, who was another one of my groomsmen. And now they're kind of like talking and the guy who was my best man is like super down in the dumps because he still wants to get back with her a little bit and one how do I get him to move on and get his dick with a little bit yeah um not to like objectify women or anything no I didn't take it that way at all I kind of just think like that's what he needs is like a rebound a bounce back yeah he needs to have free throws he wants to go through the whole
Starting point is 00:44:35 so that he knows that he can move on. And then if things progress further with my old high school friend and this lady who is my best man's ex, how do I break it to him? One of my other best friends who he also knows pretty well at this point might be smashing his ex-girlfriend who he at one point saw as like his future wife and the future mother of his children. I just need him to get a serious dope boost and then
Starting point is 00:45:14 work on letting him know that she might be getting piped down by someone who I'm very close to. Thank you guys. Appreciate anything you can give me. I mean, I think it's less important that she's getting piped down.
Starting point is 00:45:30 And it's not one of his boys, so that's good. I think he's just got to stop thinking about her. so much. So I wouldn't even worry about telling him or like any of that. We need to de-center her from his life. And he needs to start looking forward and not backwards. So I wouldn't even, I don't know, maybe I'm a bad friend. I wouldn't even worry about telling him he's going to find out at some point. And like you can tell him right away to just rip the band-aid off. But I think the most
Starting point is 00:46:01 important thing is like he gets busy living or get busy dying. Like this shit's going to happen. and, you know, he'll fall in love with another girl, and she might hurt him. Love is a contact sport. You're in there, you open up to someone. They could, they could, they can bang you up, man. They can hurt you. You know, like they say in the movie Kinsey, you think sex is easy, it'll cut you wide open.
Starting point is 00:46:25 But that's where the good stuff is too. So he's just got to get back out there and risk the biscuit again. Because that's going to be how good his life can be, is how many times can he take the hit and keep coming. those are the people who have the best lives they have the most success they have the best partners they have the fullest relationships they don't break when it gets bad they keep going they either mend it if it's mendable or they find something else where they can create that that strength and that that love and that connection so he's got to just keep going how do you do that to someone
Starting point is 00:46:58 i don't know how do you do that to someone how do you kick him in the ass dude i mean he's just got to have him, I have a vision in mind for this dude. A hot blonde. Yeah. Maybe Scandinavian doing reverse cowgirl. Yeah, exactly. So you just see her behole just bouncing up and down and you're just getting twerked and you come in like 10 seconds. Yeah, what a lucky guy that he can even do that.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Yeah. You know what I mean? Like he's got abundance is right outside his door. Yeah. If he'll just open it up and walk into the sun. Yeah. Because like, you know, I never thought about this until now I'm like I'm going to be with one person for the rest of my life. Like, I'll watch a porno.
Starting point is 00:47:43 I'm like, oh, that's never going to happen. Yeah. It's off the table. This guy's complaining. You could be doing anything that you can do. And I think you can do a lot. So go do it. And who cares?
Starting point is 00:47:57 This other guy, he's fucking sucks. Your bitch friend from high school, who gives a fuck? guy's lame he's like the guy who set screens on his rec league basketball team which is fine but I'm not going to lose sleep over it just go dude yeah dude yeah I would tell this guy if you can have him listen stop being a pussy go out there and go look at some pussy from the back yeah like dude imagine that you can look at multiple pussies from the back over the next few months how sick is that if this is the last heartbreak of your life I'm mad at you. Yeah. Because you gave up after one summit. There's a lot of peaks left to climb,
Starting point is 00:48:38 brother. Yeah, get some cream on your dink. And then, yeah, then once he's doing the reverse cowgirl, like, by the way, Mike is banging Shelly. Yeah, dude, wait until he has like, he's like, oh man, I'm beat. That orgy was just a soul stealer. If I don't get a gatorade in me, I might not be ready for Cindy tonight she seemed cool right yeah yeah I liked her yeah we're gonna go get some what what yeah Mike is banging Shelley yeah dude are you serious I gotta go no dude don't don't call no dude don't don't call her don't even send an email I got a dude if I just reach out but what about Cindy she's gonna bounce on your cock I can't think about that listen I'm not I'm not gonna ask her to
Starting point is 00:49:36 get back together. I just want. I just want to talk to. Oh, my God, dude. I just know I just want to talk to. Dude, do you hear yourself? You know what? Dude, actually, I do hear myself.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Oh, hold on. I just had to get that out. Get out a quick cry. It was cathartic. Dude, thank you for being a good friend of me. Yeah. I'm going to have a lot of fun with Cindy tonight. And I can see a future with her.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Because I can see a future with most things. Because all I see is future. Yeah. When I pull these downs, all I see is future. I almost quoted Christalia. I got to wear shades because the future is so bright.
Starting point is 00:50:11 That was a good line by him. That was good line. Dude, I was thinking earlier today, thank God I didn't have like TikTok or Instagram when I was going through breakups as a teen. Oh, yeah. I mean, dude, if I was like, you know,
Starting point is 00:50:23 I remember this one girl in college where, like, like, where I, like, I was like, she was older and hot and she just broke my heart. I remember this. You told me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Yeah. And, dude, if I was, if I was going on, like, TikTok live, being, like, being, like, singing, like, emo songs or something. Or being, like, this bitch, you know, this bitch, she ruined my life. She's the reason I'm in therapy right now. Like, dude, thank God that's not. I knew guys who did that even just, like, before there was TikTok. They put up videos singing a song about their ex-girlfriend. I was like, oh, ha, ha, ha.
Starting point is 00:51:01 How did you see this? I'd call it my other boy. come over, dude. I'm just fucking idiot. I'm an idiot, dude. So embarrassing. Dude, it's so good. You know, it's funny.
Starting point is 00:51:13 My son is, like, very emotional, and there's moments where I'm like, dude, you got, and, you know, amen to him, braver than me. I was too bottled up and too worried about rejection. But I'm like, you got some Lloyd Dobler, and he's going to be the type of guy to be like, Dad, I'm going to see Kelly. I'm like, you guys broke up. Don't go to her house. He's like, I just need to go talk to her dad.
Starting point is 00:51:31 And I'm going to be like, no. Because he just, you know, he's young. So maybe it's just that, but he does seem to have like a very big, big heart and like he feels the devastation of stuff very strongly. Like if you're like, he'll build a little house and if I get a little claustrophobic and then I'm like, I can't go back. And he's like, please come back. And I'm like, oh man, you're going to you're going to love hard, brother. But I'm going to tell him the same thing. I hope he loves hard.
Starting point is 00:51:54 I hope he takes some hits. You know, I hope he's okay. And I hope none of it's cruel. But that's life. And, you know, I think those shocks to the system can be good. if you can push forward after him. And that's, more than never getting his heartbroken,
Starting point is 00:52:08 I hope he's able to bounce back from a heartbreak. Yeah, I mean, that goes back to the beginning of the pot. Just keep pushing forward. Keep going. I was that guy at one point that would like post subliminal like fucking stories and shit with like sad songs, right? Yeah, yeah. But then now when I look back on it or I see other people do it,
Starting point is 00:52:26 I'm like, bro, this is so bad. Like it's just, nobody else knows what the fuck you're talking. about or what you're feeling yeah and you're just like bro fuck everything fuck this fuck that and then you'll like post like some like crazy like uh like a me or not like a meme but like a quote card that's like my life has been shit because of this person and you're like what the fuck bro i know everyone's a human well we we want the world to know we're pissed yeah is that what it is yeah i think i think it's it's attention you're getting attention you're getting attention because like if you feel like if people feel bad for you they'll they'll like in a weird
Starting point is 00:53:08 way they'll like you more or or you know someone will come out and be like let me just suck your dick yeah and I think also you're not getting attention from your partner yeah you're not getting the validation from your partner so you're outsourcing it to the public yeah you're like hey and that's what's so embarrassing is the public has literally being like oh that's what you're hungry for and it's like embarrassing yeah I think it's like oh like you know she won't talk to me right now so I'm gonna go to you guys. Yeah, I think there's something where like I think there's some weird psychology thing
Starting point is 00:53:39 where because I definitely felt this when I was younger where it's like if you like show the world how much pain you're in. Yeah. You think it's gonna make them love you more I think in a weird way where I like I remember when I saw that girl I was like, I'm in therapy because of you and like to her she's like get the fuck away from me. She's like it's not my fault you're in therapy. Yeah, but to me at the time, I was like, I just showed her how much she hurt me.
Starting point is 00:54:06 And now she's going to be like, you know what? I should go date him. Yeah. Yeah, that's exactly why, like, I would, at the time, I was like, oh, she's going to see this and be like, oh, okay. But I was blocked anyways. So I just posted like two weeks straight of like sad shit and she never saw one. Yeah. So it's like, who the fuck cares?
Starting point is 00:54:27 It just the other fucking 200 people that I know on my story are now like, this guy's a fucking weird. Yeah, and your guy friends are like, oh, she's single, I'm about to hit her up. Yeah, exactly. Like, oh, this guy's sad? Oh, it looks like something happened. Hey, if you need to talk to me about Jake, I'm here. Exactly. What's up, Stokers?
Starting point is 00:54:48 This is Harry Collin from Boston. Heard about the cease and desist letter. That sucks, bros. Let us know if you need some East Coaster to tune this kid up. But, Colin, because you guys helped me out with an existential cue a while back about either living in a boat or just taking over the list. world and decided to take over the world but I realized now I need some more adventures so I picked up the guitar about at a campfire level right now my
Starting point is 00:55:14 question to you is how do we find a band to join oh thanks bros good question dude I think I think just go start playing open mics go rip the guitar sing your heart out you'll find someone who wants to jam with you you form the band that way. Find someone who digs your music. Start ripping guitar or if you have some buddies where you're like, if you just want to keep it like cash, you'd be like, like,
Starting point is 00:55:44 dude, you want to just fucking be a band? Dude, what you need to do is you got to do an open mic, but you got to make it epic. All right, Beatles in the Let It Be album, right?
Starting point is 00:56:00 Was that the last one that they did the Apple talk about? Get up on a roof in New York City, get the amp loud, and play, don't let me down and let the whole city hear it. And then people will be walking by him by, dude, that guy's got balls, he's got taste, and he probably needs some bros. That's fire. And have the cops come up and be like, whoa. And then you're like, yeah, fuck you have the cops are here. Paul McCartney gets this little like kind of elfish smile where he's like, he, he, he yeah, fuck you. Yeah, fuck you. Yeah, impish. He has an impish smile. That's what's up.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Dude, so now they're doing Sam Mendes Go ahead, did like 1917 and Skyfall in American Beauty, he doing a movie It's one movie for each Beatles member Oh really? And it's Barry Keegan, Paul Meskull, Harris Dickens, I forget Here the fourth guys I didn't realize it's like different movies for all of them All of them get a different movie and I think they're all in each other's movie
Starting point is 00:56:55 Damn It's a big undertaking That's wild Cool though, right? But you know it's tough because if the first one's not good you're like well I guess I'm over it yeah then everyone's like we gotta watch the Paul one I'm like I don't know yeah Sam's a beast though
Starting point is 00:57:13 I want to hear your take on this JT I guess because I don't really know much about it and you're more in tuned with it but is Fincher falling off there was this big argument on a stream yesterday that like he came out with one bad movie and now people are saying he's falling off is that a true statement I would say like he did a couple choices that didn't have this ceiling some of his other movies did like he did that Mank movie which I think was like a passion project of his father's and then he did the Michael Fossbender hitman movie oh yeah I forget what the
Starting point is 00:57:48 name of it was which is kind of speaking to their point I guess uh what was the name of it I forget but I like that they're saying he's falling off because I think there's an argument there but his next movie the Adventures of Cliff Booth is the biggest budget movie he's ever done, and he's working off a script from Tarantino. And if David Fincher has a good script, he's about as lights out as it gets. So I'm freaking fired up for this one.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Cliffwood, that's the biggest budget he's ever had? I think it's a $200 million movie. Damn. Yeah. Wow. And it's Tarantino wrote it. And then Fincher's like, you know. And he and Brad, they love each other.
Starting point is 00:58:34 They love each other. They do good work together. When's the last time he has? out of script that good. The social network? Yeah. That's sick. Yeah, I think that movie's gonna rip, but he does need a banger. What was the name? Can you look
Starting point is 00:58:49 up the name of that Michael Fossbender movie just so I can like sleep a night? Which did have some cool shots in it, but it was like the killer. I don't think, I think he was just trying to make a cool movie. I don't think he was trying to like get
Starting point is 00:59:05 his I don't know, deep or his grand with as some of his other movies. You know I watched the other night, The Outsiders. Oh, that's a cool movie. Yeah, the acting's a little, I was like... Like you think the Matt Dillon scenes a little too over the top. We're gonna do it for Johnny.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Yeah, I mean, it's like, but I was like giving it some grace because it's the 80, you know, early 80s. But I mean, the cast is unbelievable. Unbelievable. Yeah. Tom Cruise's teeth. Dude. The fact that him of all of them became the most popular. Yeah. Good for him.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Well, because Swayze feels the coolest. Swayze, yeah, Swayze. But he's also playing the leader. He's just an absolute beast. The fight is really cool. The fight is cool. I mean, I enjoyed it. Like, don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:59:51 We were watching it. I had to go do a show. I wanted to finish it. It's a good movie. But I just, I was like, the acting's a little much. But dude, Roblo's so hot in it.
Starting point is 01:00:05 And it's the greasers and the soches. Yeah. Any movie where these split it up it's like the gangs and it's the hasors to have nots yeah i'm kind of in oh totally i've been getting dumber dude do you have like weeks where you feel dumber my whole life no but you have weeks where you're like dude i'm dialed and then weeks where you're like yeah i just can't there it's just not there yeah for sure i think lately i've you know i've just kind of resigned to like i i can't really i can only think about wedding stuff
Starting point is 01:00:40 Um, I'm there with you now too, brother. My man on, I, on Friday I shot man on bench stuff. Uh-huh. Misrecorded it. Didn't get the footage. Really? I was super depressed. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Oh, damn. And then I shot today and I was bumbling my words way more than normal. Really? What is going on with my brain? And dude, I swear, I think this is maybe me being a narcissist. I think I'm stressed about your wedding. Dude, I, yeah. I'm sorry, I put that on you, but yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I'm worried. I think, yeah. I mean, dude, it's. It's got to go great. It's a real thing. I mean, it's like, yeah, it's, it's, when you have a performance thing ahead, it's tough to think about anything else. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:19 I got to, I just got to get off the way. But also, it's all about having fun. It's all about the vibe. I know, I know. It's not, you know. I want your parents to like it. They're going to like it. And let's say, let's say you forget a line or you stumble.
Starting point is 01:01:36 No one knows, you know. They don't know what it's supposed to be. They don't know what it's supposed to be. So just be in the moment. You're not doing Shakespeare. No. You don't think I'm doing Shakespeare? Well, I'm just saying.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Oh, it's not. I know what you mean. Yeah, yeah. See, why do I take it like that? Yeah, you're not, like, you're not playing ham, like. It's not scripted already. It's not supposed to be certain words. It's not like people know, like they're like, he's up there, he's doing Hamlet.
Starting point is 01:01:59 I totally know what you mean. Yeah, yeah. I do. I totally get it now. But I took it wrong. Yeah. You got, you're going to be great. All right.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Yeah. And you got a mic up there too. That's nice. A mic will, I think, feel more... And I can hold it? I think you can hold it, yeah. Awesome. You know what?
Starting point is 01:02:15 I don't even mind, because I like the headset style too. I mean, you can't do that if you want. No, no, I'm not changing what you guys got. Look, I'll talk to the planner. Yeah. What kind of mic situation we got? Sarah, she's great. Yes, he's...
Starting point is 01:02:27 We've emailed. Yeah, we're in touch. Are you doing... You're a headset guy now. I mean, for the one-man show. Do you prefer a headset to holding the mic? I guess it's different performing If I were doing just straight stand-up
Starting point is 01:02:46 I prefer holding the mic But with the one-man show I like having the headset I tried to do norm style for a while Where he had the mic in here And then did the hands around it He left it in the stand He left it in the stand
Starting point is 01:03:03 That was kind of cool It is cool Dude if you can pull it off There's something cool about it There's guys like Patrice and Marin pulling off the sit down is pretty badass. Yeah. And still crushing when you're doing that.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Yeah. And then Norm leaving it in the stand. That's also very cool. It is cool. You know who like one of my favorite sit down comics is? He's actually been on your guys' show a couple of time. Mark Smalls. He's like,
Starting point is 01:03:27 he's great. He's so wild, but like him just sitting there like telling crazy stories with like long hair. Like just the like the picture of it. You're like, what the fuck is this guy talking about? He's just interesting to look at. Like you can just see a frame.
Starting point is 01:03:41 You're like, watch the rest of this. Yeah, he's a great guy. They said Roger Ailes at Fox had such good judge of like who would produce well on TV, like be successful that he could look at it with no volume and be like, this person's good or this person's bad. Yeah. Dude, Mark Smalls, he's hilarious.
Starting point is 01:03:58 And Roger Ailes said Mark Smalls is next. Yeah. Before they pushed him out, he said, this Mark Smalls guy has got what it takes. Yeah. He almost took Jesse Waters' spot. I never I didn't know Jesse's the biggest thing at Fox now is he I think so
Starting point is 01:04:15 wild and then Alex Mechelson he'd butcher his name because that's how it looks but it's Alex Michelson yeah yeah he's like the biggest thing in CNN now
Starting point is 01:04:29 is he? Oh dude he's huge yeah really he has his own program at CNN and they do like big coverage like he was there they did a big bust in LA for some misallocated homeless fund he was on it he um he's got the front he gets all the newsome stuff good for him dude i watched him like all the time
Starting point is 01:04:47 during covid it's crazy because we knew him when he was just doing local stuff did i i dm him one time very personal guy very cool i dm'd one time years ago just hammered be like let's meet up at the beach did you did you like i pro pro forma nothing i don't i don't remember what it was i was like hey brother I'm in Venice. Let's kick it. And he's like, I can't. I'm like, all right.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Your news coverage rips. It's got to catch a tan, bro. Dude, the way you covered that crisis in Ukraine, let's have a fucking beer. He's doing good stuff. I'm proud of him. Always a very nice guy. What up.
Starting point is 01:05:31 It's skating snail. What up, Chad. What up J.P. Appreciate you. I was calling. because I recently got into golf and I realized I don't really like got too many friends to like go play with and it kind of like made me realize even further that like I've had a hard time making new friends since I've moved from my old city to this bigger city.
Starting point is 01:05:57 I was I came from a smaller town and now I live in a bigger city and most of the friends that I've accumulated throughout my time being up here. year has been at places that I've been employed at, but when I leave those spaces, I don't really got friends anymore, it seems like. So, I don't know. I just kind of was looking for some advice as to how I can get back out. I honestly feel like I forgot how to make friends. So you can, you know, should, uh, put me an answer to some. Yeah, I think, I think, um, as you get older, it is tougher to make friends. Way harder. Um, I think the key to it is you need to do activities.
Starting point is 01:06:44 You need to like have a buddy go golfing with, have a buddy you play pickleball with, have a buddy you have beers with, have a buddy, you know, who maybe, whatever your interest is, whatever hobbies you're pursuing, invite people to do that with you. I think that, you know,
Starting point is 01:07:02 because no one in their, I don't know how old he is, maybe late 20s, 30s, no one in the late 20s, 30s is going to be like, you know most people would be like hey dude do you want to grab lunch with me they're like i'm busy but dude if you're like let's golf it's like you're doing something that they're pursuing as well so it's like you're that gives you an excuse to meet up but um yeah yeah i think i totally agree and dude also i want to validate what you're saying and piggyback off what chad said
Starting point is 01:07:34 it's very hard to make friends as you get older it's very hard don't beat yourself up for it I'm going through it now with parents in my kids' school. I get shy, self-conscious before all the events. Little looks can kind of throw me where I'm like, is this person not like me? Stuff like that, where I'm just like, the wheels are moving too fast. I would say this.
Starting point is 01:07:59 You can go slow. It would be the same advice I would be to someone who wants to get laid. It's like, don't go into every situation trying to get the result. just start slow like first just start smiling at people more every time you go out and just have nice little back and force with people at the CVS people at the restaurant people you run into it the guesters just try saying like one thing to everyone when the opportunity is there and then build on that and then see what's like working for you and then I think what you'll do is you'll slowly build up the identity of someone who's friendly and someone who's social and then when you do meet a guy you
Starting point is 01:08:36 like just try to like don't try to like be best friends right out the gates just be like hey maybe maybe me and this guy just share a laugh and I think as you get more like small about it and just happy about those moments I think it'll naturally come through I also like I moved out here and I didn't really know anybody and golf was perfect because when you go solo they usually pair you up with somebody they throw you force so like you you meet somebody and you talk to somebody that you never know you'll be all right Do you seem like a really nice guy? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:10 All right, Mr. President, you know, as we head into this uncertain future with AI saying that, you know, it might kill all of humanity. And then, you know, it's tough to buy houses and the economic forecast, we just don't know. What are some encouraging words? What's some optimism you feel about the future? I honestly, I think it's a little silly to be dumerous because, It's like tautological. Like you are doomed. You are going to die.
Starting point is 01:09:41 And so everyone's like, oh, it's going to be really bad for us. It's like, well, yeah, it's been bad for everyone before you too. And you can focus on that, but like you're not going to change. You are going to die. And like, do I think AI is going to like wipe out all of us? Like, no, I think that's that same thing where we're like, oh, we're the moment in time where everything ends. Everyone's always thought that. And history tells us life goes on.
Starting point is 01:10:03 But we will be wrong once. and AI might be the one that does kill us all. Okay, and the economy. Oh, I mean, who could ever forecast that? I would just say, you know, rich people will keep getting richer. Poor people will keep going in this direction, most likely. But, you know, if I'm elected, I'll try to narrow that gap for sure. But, like, don't expect a miracle.
Starting point is 01:10:31 I mean, it's reality. these things tend to they're smarter with money than any of us so they'll probably keep winning but I don't like it if that's any consolation no yeah that's helpful all right thank you
Starting point is 01:10:46 yeah sure so if you guys want to vote for me vote for me again I'm not even really sure I want to do it but I do feel like it's the right thing to do so I will continue to try so yeah God bless you guys and go Nick's oh I'm president now huh
Starting point is 01:11:01 go football basketball. Yeah, you were elected. Oh, I'm seriously shocked, but that's really nice. And it meant a lot to me for a while, but it's worn off. But I love sports.
Starting point is 01:11:16 Go NFL, go NBA. Some really good fights last weekend, too. Thanks, America. Boys.
