The following podcast is a dear media production.
Mazum morons, welcome back to the Good Guys podcast.
This is an incredibly special episode, a bonus episode,
but what's really special is my co-host for the day,
The Great Paige O'Brien Peck.
Wow.
Hello.
Is this the first time you've ever had someone host without the other,
you or Ben?
Yeah, this is an official guest.
An honor.
Experience.
I'm sorry to the listeners, but thank you for having me.
This episode, thank you.
to the wonderful Disneyland for sponsoring this episode.
We got to spend an incredible, incredible day yesterday at the park.
And we're going to get into a normal episode.
But right now, I'm a Disney adult.
It's official.
I'm starting a TikTok.
Okay?
This is my life now.
I've transformed.
And you could for sure have a TikTok where you're just eating your way through Disneyland.
I ate 12 out of 15 of the most popular snacks yesterday at the park.
I was filming.
But we're going to go through my best bite.
I did run into you at one point we happened to like cross paths.
We were separated with our kids and we were like, I was like, oh, hey, what are you doing?
And you were running and you were hiding something behind your back.
You really didn't want me to see your ice cream that you were sneaking in there.
Yeah, I got a Mickey ice cream.
Yeah, it was cute.
That's how I live.
I'm a sober guy, you know?
I need to have something to live for.
Yeah, it was awesome.
Well, speaking of so we brought our 7-year-old max, our 3-year-old shy, and our 14-month-old
Meyer to the park yesterday.
And it's, let's give a play by play.
So first, we didn't tell the kids till what?
A couple of days before?
Yeah, we told Max before, which like, he can't keep a secret.
God bless him.
And he was like frothing at the mouth to tell, to tell, shy.
So Max is seven.
He's been to Disneyland once when he was two.
So he really doesn't remember and he really didn't get to experience much because he wasn't big enough to go on the rides or anything.
And he was really at an age this time where he could like rip and he could go on every ride and he was excited about it.
So that was fun.
But shy is our Disney kid.
He loves all the Disney movies.
He loves.
He's in.
He loves the princesses.
Moana is his girl.
We had a cute Moana moment.
That was like probably my highlight of the day.
The first time we came here was with myself.
on Max when I was on a wonderful Disney Plus series, Turner and Hooch, one season.
That's what they call me, one season peck.
I might be the common denominator.
Can't get a second season for the life of me.
But we came here with Max, and you're right, it was special.
But to see him at seven and shy at three to really be able to enjoy this.
And I thought one thing I got to say is that Disney really knows how to make it easy for
parents. Oh, yeah. The fact that we, so we got to, we thought ahead, okay, you know,
your plan, you got to think. So if it were just me, I would have come here with like half a
stroller and, you know, a quarter bottle of water. But Paige was like, maybe we should get a room
at the Disneyland resort so that when Meyer needs to take a little nap or we were here with
the wonderful Blake, my sister-in-law and her two kiddos who are younger, like we can sort of go in,
take a quick break.
It's right by the park and we'll get a little nap time in.
And that was...
Yeah, especially when it's hot.
It's just...
Yeah, I feel like we all needed a minute to regroup for a little.
And it's so easy.
You just like walk out in the hotel's right there and then you walk back in.
It was awesome.
You need a place where everyone can get back together and just say, all right, let's restrategize.
A little crib in there.
Everyone took a little nap.
It was perfect.
Yeah.
And the Halloween...
The Halloween sort of decor, the vibe, the experience.
I feel like that was really the best part.
I wasn't expecting that to be done already.
And that was such a nice surprise.
I mean, look how cute.
It was so sweet.
Also, it's kind of crazy.
It's like their two favorite things, Disneyland, Halloween.
They're huge Halloween kids.
Yeah.
And that's like not something that Josh and I have ever been excited about.
And now I'm like, I'm all in.
I'm all in on Halloween.
I'm all in on whatever gets them.
excited and happy. It's so fun. They loved it. They loved all the spooky things. Let's do a quick,
listen. We'll come back to Disney. We're here. Clearly, this is amazing, but this is a regular
episode, too. So, Paige, check in. How are we as a couple? We're great. Are we making it?
We're going to make it, you think? Yeah, I think so. It's been 15 years. I think that's probably good.
What's a good sign? Probably good, like we're going to call it? Probably good. We're going to call it.
Probably good. We're done. I just walk off. The people get mad at me sometimes because I will,
I feel like at 15 years together, I can be the typical husband and joke around about like,
she's going to leave me at any moment. Yeah. By the way, you think that I don't hear these things because
I know you're like, oh, she doesn't listen to the podcast. It's fine. I don't listen to the podcast,
first of all, not because I don't love it. It's because you're not a big fan of my work.
It's because when we're in the car, I'm usually listening to the,
A soundtrack, a Moana soundtrack on repeat.
And so I, you know, whatever makes the kids happy.
So, but you think I don't hear.
And these morons are in my DMs.
They're a bunch of rats is what they are.
Yeah, I know.
And they let me know.
Yeah, they keep me updated.
Also, I feel like I should probably be fact-checking you because I think there's a lot of lies.
Oh, I embellish.
You embellish?
But yeah, you're allowed.
You're allowed 15 years in.
He's allowed to make the jokes.
15 years in. So we met you were 20. I was 24. Yes. And weird. And we swear this was not a setup. We met at a Halloween party. Not a Disney themed one, but a Halloween party. We were. And we weren't dressed up. Again, we weren't. That wasn't like a thing that we necessarily, we're not big on the holidays. And then now since having kids, though, it's like, you have to admit. Like Disneyland and Halloween and all those things are just like,
The magic, to see the magic in your kids' eyes is so fun.
It's everything.
Yeah, and you have to lean in.
I always say this too, and God bless people who don't have kids,
but I say, you know, at 30 or 31, I realized I'd done enough yoga, and I'd had enough
brunch, and I really wanted to now re-experience the joy of things like Disneyland and
through my kid's eyes.
And I feel like that's what we got to do yesterday.
For sure.
Yeah.
It was so cute. It was perfect.
It was perfect. So we're 15 years in now. We're three kids deep.
The people want to know, are we having a fourth child? Say it here today.
Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of those messages as well in my DMs. People are like, I'm team fourth child.
I'm like, who's talking about having a fourth child?
Sometimes I get a little loopy and I take too much allergy medicine.
And you start talking about how we were kids.
I can't be held responsible for what I say.
10 kids if I could. Just kids are expensive and a lot and they're the best. But like you can all,
we only have so much room. It's true. We'd have to get a bigger house. You do every other day send
me videos on Instagram of newborn babies. One of my favorite things in the world is like after being
pregnant is not ideal for me. But like after you've had the baby and you're in the hospital with just
the newborn and your other kids are at home with usually you.
And I'm just like laying there and they're making you that special drink that's like cranberry,
orange juice and ginger ale or something.
I'm like, I could stay here for days.
This is awesome.
Even though I just had surgery, I'm like, this is a nice vacation.
We love it.
I could do that every day.
I love that.
A newborn baby on your shoulder?
There's nothing better.
I just love a hospital.
Oh, okay.
I'm a hypochondriac.
So it's just good to know that if I hit the deck, I'm in the right place.
You're in the right place.
Yeah.
Speaking of, I just going to take a quick sip out of my tumbler.
This is hydrated.
This is, I don't know how to open that.
First of all, the Halloween Town merch here.
You take that.
Thank you.
I'll take yours.
This is so cute.
Can I take this for Max?
Yeah.
They're going to be stoked.
The merch was unbelievable.
What was great too was obviously Disney has something for every kid,
but Max was stoked to go on there.
the big rides, but our wonderful shy, who's three years old, he's our creative, our artist.
He loves, yeah, it was kind of cool because we got to experience both things, like the rides,
which we didn't get to do last time.
And he's also like just different kid with different interests.
He really liked the Spider-Man and the Star Wars and stuff.
Shy, on the other hand, he loves the Spider-Man and Star Wars, but his big thing is Moana.
He loves Tiana.
I found out yesterday, too.
Tiana Taylor?
No, not Tiana Taylor.
I'm a big fan of Tiana Taylor.
Yeah, same.
But he loves the princess Tiana.
And he was really excited.
He was like, I want to see where Moana lives.
And we found out where Moana was going to be coming out.
And the moment that he saw her, he was like waiting for her.
He malfunctioned.
He malfunctioned.
He like was smiling, happy, looking around and saw her and like recoiled.
He stood behind me.
He was like, I can't.
It was too much for him.
And then she walked over and was like,
hi, what's your name?
And she let him hold her hand and walk her to her post wherever she was going to
like meet people.
And she just walked and talked with him.
And he was, he talked about it all day.
He couldn't get enough of it.
He was, it was the best moment of his life thus far.
So the morons are dying to know.
Yep.
What?
Tell us about your.
feelings on Ben, your thoughts about my co-host, and am I nice enough to him?
In general? I would hope so. I don't know. Sometimes the people feel like I'm a little hard on
him, but I think of it as an older brother type energy. Sometimes I overly correct, and I'm trying to
It might be a theme in your friendships. Okay, wow. This took a weird turn. I'm glad it's happening
at the happiest place on earth. No, I love Ben.
But I
Ben is the greatest.
He's so sweet.
And I think I saw a clip the other day with the lawyer on and I never noticed it.
And I was like, wow, she's so right.
She said you always have an opinion in a stance.
Like, and you go for that 100%.
And I was like, that is a nice quality.
It is.
Like, I just feel like I have a hard time making a decision and never.
I'm like, I don't know about Ben.
She was so right.
He's decisive.
Yeah, he's decisive.
He has an opinion.
I'm like, that is a great quality.
to have.
It is.
Yeah, I love Ben.
All I know is we have like our group chat with us and Ben and Claudia.
That is titled OZM Friends.
Because we're the GLP crew.
And that was and that's all I, I mean, that's my biggest.
I know Chef, Chef Ben on Instagram's, Fourca July.
Shout out, Fork of July.
I do follow along his journeys.
But you're.
too hard on him on the podcast? What are you hard on him about? I, what I try to tell him,
you know, being a seasoned vet in this business, I said, Ben, people don't know they like it,
but they like conflict. It's the core of all drama. I think so. I think the fact that we both
are passionate about what we believe, and many times it leads us to a drag out argument, I think
is people like the fireworks. Yeah, but it's also important to show that, like, you can
disagree and still be friends, right?
I love that Ben, suffer deeply.
And I feel like in doing this podcast, I've realized that we are great business.
We have a great business relationship, but what's even better is our friendship.
Should we get into some weird stories?
I guess.
Yeah.
Why not?
All right.
Well, funny enough, and I swear I didn't pick this specifically, but A-List actor goes incognito
at Disneyland during heartwarming moment with Goofy.
Matt Damon's candid reaction to a heartwarming moment in Disney has gone viral.
The actor was spotted standing in the background of park guest Lauren Powell's Instagram video of her young daughter meeting goofy.
Damon, low key in a baseball cap, tan pants and a button-up shirt, didn't bring attention to himself, as he witnessed the adorable moment, a short distance away, and smiled clearly, charmed by the interaction.
Oh, I didn't see that.
Sweet, right?
That is very sweet.
I'm telling you, it's the magic of Disneyland
and seeing kids like the magic through them is so sweet
and yeah, it can make anyone smile.
It was such a nice moment.
Matt Damon, or as I like to call him my co-star in the movie Opnoy.
Yes, you guys had a lot of scenes together.
I didn't take that one.
Did you have a scene together?
Plenty.
Oh, you did.
A lot with me in the background, just nodding and looking smart and scientific.
Like, hmm.
I swear.
I saw the movie.
I remember at one point, my favorite story is there's a scene, as we all know, I have five glorious minutes in Oppenheimer, but because it's a Christopher Nolan movie, I was there for two months.
And because I'm in the background looking very smart.
And it was an honor to be a Mr. Nolan's masterpiece, truly.
And there's a scene where, you know, Matt Damon plays a general who's getting annoyed with how long this project is taking.
And me and the other scientists have to walk by him sort of solemnly, and he's just looking at us.
And I do remember walking by him in one of the takes and thinking, oh, that is very believable.
I was like, good acting, Matt Damon.
Oh, yeah.
I can imagine that would be, like, crazy to see up close.
But the, so the Disney, was it at this park?
Wait.
Or the thing with, you're just saying?
I don't know.
Oh, I don't know which one.
That's sweet.
Yeah.
I feel like it's pretty, probably easy to go incognito here, right?
Wear a hat.
I think so.
Cover up.
If you have a little, we were lucky enough yesterday.
We had a guide who helped us through the park a little bit.
And, you know, I did try to, like, get out of our wonderful guide, Joseph.
I was like, got any good celeb stories and he was very tight-lipped.
He wouldn't give me the good goss.
He wouldn't give us any gossub, which is fine.
Joseph, we forgive you for that.
I was like, any royalty you ever guide?
And he kind of went, maybe.
Yeah, he's like, he said big, big groups with that.
Yeah, big groups.
They roll deep.
Wow.
I think that should be our goal to maybe become a king and queen of a country.
Sure.
How do we, can do, what's the track for that?
I'll ask chat GPT.
Oh, Benny Blanco reveals shocking amount of weight he lost after eating only pizza for five days.
Benny Blanco ate nothing but pizza for five days straight in an attempt to prove you can lose weight eating literally anything.
The music producer, 38, posted a TikTok video documenting himself eating only a large, thin crusts pizza from dominoes a day.
At the beginning of the video, he steps on a scale and shows that he weighs 152 pounds.
Oh, my gosh.
How tall is he?
He's clearly dedicated to the experiment as he shows footage throughout the week of him, eating only his.
his meal of choice.
So he just had one domino's thick crust pizza a day?
Yeah.
I mean, that doesn't seem like that, if that's all you're eating for the whole day?
I see that, right?
That's not that crazy.
I feel like I would be hungry.
In crust?
Well, yeah, it's trying to lose weight.
I understand.
But I think it's amazing that he's at 152 starting.
Yeah, good for him.
My goal in life is to be 6.6.152.
He lost five pounds.
And a week?
Yeah.
He ate his pizza.
I was happy.
Good for him.
Good for Betty.
He doesn't have too much going on for him right now.
So, like, he could use that.
He's a genius music producer, married to Salina Gold.
Yeah, just his food journeys.
But speaking of, what, did you have a best bite at the park?
Oh, BPP.
BPP?
Sure.
Our best bite at the park.
Yep.
Best bite of the park.
I knew that that's what you're talking about.
Um, I would love, so I, uh, decided it was a game time decision when we walked into the park yesterday that, listen, content.
Yeah.
Right?
Like, yeah.
You, these shoes you're wearing, this, my ensemble, it's paid for by content.
Okay.
Okay.
I, I wasn't sure what you're.
Right.
And so even on a beautiful day of recreation and, and fall.
in Jubilee, I was like, let me get to work, you know?
The grind never stops.
Yeah.
So I decided that I was going to take a bite of as many wonderful treats as I could.
Just one bite?
You only took one.
No, I ate at least half of everything.
Okay.
So we started with first bite of the day, corn dog.
Yeah, that was the first bite of, oh, we went to the breakfast.
We did the breakfast, which Max dubbed was the best new favorite breakfast spot.
This isn't good.
I don't know what is.
Direct quote.
Goofy's Kitchen.
Goofy's Kitchen.
And it was buffet style.
Halloween themed.
Halloween themed.
All the characters were in their costumes.
It was very cute.
Really cute.
Max couldn't have been, he couldn't have reviewed it higher, to be honest.
It was great.
And we got into the park.
We had corn dogs.
Those I didn't eat.
I don't eat meat.
You're vegan.
But they looked insane.
I do, back in the day.
I would have loved a corn dog with some mustard.
Those looked insane.
How was it?
I can't cite my source because I did backchannel some insider info on the corn dogs.
I heard, and this is alleged, that it's 50% pancake batter.
Yes, that's why it was delicious.
It looked so good.
Which really supports the texture, the bounce.
I like to call it, the bounce of the bite.
We did do a midday fruit break, which was refreshing and felt like a nice healthy option.
Yeah.
They were like, should we go get chocolate chip cookies?
And I was like, we're going to go on some more rides.
My children have had a lot of sugar.
We need a fruit break for sure.
And it was God's sugar.
Yeah, it was God's sugar.
Which is my nickname for you.
Oh, who?
And what else did we?
Oh, I had a pickle.
That was the first time I've ever had a pickle at Disneyland.
They were, that was a good pickle.
Strong pickle game.
Strong pickle.
Mm.
And I think, as you can see here, they do have the seasonal Halloween offering.
Should I do a live bite?
Yeah.
Should we?
To do the cake pop.
Okay.
Cake pop first.
Come on.
Are you a Mickey Ghost?
You could easily eat that in one bite.
Your jaw kind of like unhinges.
You know I'm a cute eater.
Oh, that's nice.
That's so cute.
I'm going to go in again.
Mm-hmm.
That's really good.
Vanilla cake pop.
This fun little cookie.
Yeah, you have to eat the web beer.
An old school deli black and white cookie, right?
Yeah, I wonder if it tastes like it.
All right.
This one, another Mickey flavor.
Nothing people love on a podcast more than chewing.
It's like my worst nightmare, to be honest.
Anyone with misophonia?
Trigger alert.
Trigger wording mesophonia.
And then, oh, that one's really good.
And I had this yesterday.
Did this taste like a black and white kind of?
A little bit.
I feel like there's a little shortbread going on there.
And this is the ghost, which Max said was the best cookie he ever.
Oh, he had that yesterday?
He had just a bite, I swear.
Okay.
It's fine.
I'm not coming for you.
We literally ate so much during the day.
And then Max and I hung out for the Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure, which is like trick-or-treating.
Like an evening separate ticket offering.
Yeah, I had to take the others home for bed at the hotel.
It's like so fast.
It was crazy.
But they stayed and they had chicken and rice.
And Max had to FaceTime me to show me how good his chicken and rice was.
It was really good.
It looked good.
Not going to lie.
Well, as we all know on The Good Guys, we do do an advice segment where we have Moron Mail, where our wonderful fandom, they email, they call in, they text, and I did have a couple pieces of moron mail. Would you like to jump in here?
I would love to jump in.
Love it. This first one's called the birthday dinner. Dear Good Guys, a friend invited 14 people to his wife's 35th birthday dinner at a very expensive restaurant. At the end of dinner, he announced obviously,
we're all covering Sarah tonight, right?
Okay, fine, except Sarah's parents were there.
Her sister was there.
And most importantly, her husband was there.
Why am I buying your wife dinner?
Because it's her birthday.
You married her.
It's your overhead.
Then they split the entire check evenly,
despite the fact that I don't drink
and everyone else had cocktails and wine.
Welcome to my life.
Yeah, that's hard.
My portion was $240 for what was essentially
chicken breast and sparkling water.
I paid it because I'm not a psychopath,
but I've been thinking about it for three weeks.
Am I cheap or has birthday culture gone too far?
This is, birthday culture has gone too far.
I think that like if you're going to have people of all,
if you're going to invite like all your friends,
if we were to do that and have all of our friends,
everyone's in different situations.
Some people are single.
Some people are married.
Like some people are in different financial situations with work.
I just think that like you would have to expect
that if you're inviting people to a dinner, you're covering it or ideally.
Ideally.
Ideally, you would be covering the whole thing.
But like I get if you're like, okay, if it's talked about before, if you're going to go
to like a really expensive restaurant though and you're going to like, I don't know,
the whole, if you're not drinking, it's hard for us because like you don't drink, I'm vegan.
So typically if there's something, you know, like that, like people order for the table.
or whatever.
Yeah.
And I'm not going to make a big deal of it.
It does get.
I had fries and a side salad.
Yeah.
And some sparkling water like a Coke zero.
So it's like it does get a little hard when I get the frustration for sure.
What do you think?
I understand.
I think it's totally to your point.
I understand if you can't cover everyone.
But I would say then make it a kind of a financially neutral option.
Like go pizza.
He should have covered his.
wife 100%. I don't think that like he should have been like, we're all going to cover her,
right? Like we're all going to split. That's crazy. Pay for your wife's dinner.
Let's we forget the great kid David, my dear friend who's been on the podcast, I went to a birthday
dinner for him. And we all said, let's all cover kid because it's his birthday, which there was eight
of us. And his wonderful friend, the wood god, did not cover kid. And then when I asked, I said,
Hey man, like we're all putting in, you know, a little bit extra for kid.
He handed me $10, which covered kids first drink.
So that was cool.
That's that, yeah, that's a little, it's a, it's a, it's murky.
I don't know.
It's, I don't know that it's murky.
I mean, because then, then you run into the issue of like, sometimes it's just a
convenience thing of being like, all right, let's all just split it seven ways instead
of eight.
And then just everyone pays that.
I get it.
But when it's your wife, I would just be like, I'll add extra for tip or something.
Like, I'll cover her.
I'll pay the tip and I don't know.
Cover her.
I just don't know.
I guess I'll cover the person who I've committed my life to.
I guess.
I'll get her tuna tartar.
But also just go to like go for pizza.
Like go for something yummy that's more inexpensive.
Right.
Where you don't have to sweat it.
And you can be like, yeah, I think I can cover my wife's, you know, supreme.
Yeah.
You're supreme.
I know Jenny loves the Supreme.
Yeah, that's a tough one.
I do get the frustration, though.
That would be very annoying.
Well, there is the babysitter situation.
Dear good guys, my wife and I have a babysitter we love.
She's 22 responsible, great with the kids, and we've used her for about two years.
Recently, she started dating a guy.
Now, whenever we get home, he's sitting in his car outside our house waiting for her.
He doesn't come inside.
He doesn't bother anyone.
He's literally just parked there, but I hate it.
I don't know this man.
Why is there some random 24-year-old dude sitting outside my house at 11.30 at night while my kids are asleep?
My wife says I'm being insane because he's technically on a public street.
I want to politely ask the babysitter to have him wait somewhere else.
Is this reasonable or am I becoming my father?
Okay.
And it's from Neighborhood Watch.
Neighborhood.
I, when you first mentioned it, I made a face because I was thinking that she was coming home every night and this guy was there like sitting on the couch with her hanging out.
And I was like, okay, that would.
That's wild.
Yeah, that's wild.
But when you said he was waiting outside, 22 years old, this day and age, he probably is like, I don't want her walking to her car by herself at night or like doesn't know if the family's going to walk her to her car.
You know, 1130.
I don't know.
Maybe he's just like being a nice guy and like, oh, just pick you up.
and I'll wait. It's like something my dad would have done.
Sure.
Right?
Like, for sure, would have been like, oh, I'll just pick you up.
No problem.
One a.m. by dad's sitting there waiting.
I don't think, I don't feel like that's that creepy.
Do you, what do you think?
I think it's, I think they should, she should introduce them.
Yeah.
But I also would never, if I was picking someone up at 1130 at night, I'd be like,
oh, let me come in and grab, you know, what do you get to drink?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's a little late.
It's a, yeah, I guess.
But I don't, I don't know.
I think as a girl, I'm thinking like, if I was 22, I'd be like, can you just wait outside for me?
Don't bother anyone.
Just sit in your car.
And then when they get home, I'll walk.
I'll walk to the car.
You can, like, walk me home and walk in with me and whatever.
It's weird out there.
But I know.
It's cooey.
Yeah, that's a little weird if you're, like, pulling up every day and he's right outside waiting.
But if you know it's her boyfriend, I don't know.
Doesn't feel that weird to me.
Can we talk about the first time I picked you up at your home for a date and what I encountered?
Sure.
Sure.
So we had gone on like two or three.
We'd gone on like a frozen yogurt date, a movie date.
Those were like our first two dates.
And then I went to pick you up at your house.
And you're obviously at that time, you're 20s.
You're still living at home.
And your father, who, as we all know, played football in the NFL.
and your brother who was quarterback for a Division I football Fresno State,
the jewel of the Central Valley.
And so they were playing catch in the front yard.
Now, as we all know, Josh from Drake and Josh, probably not the most athletic.
And I was like, oh, God, my future father-in-law and brother,
I knew at date three that I had married.
They're playing catch, and I'm going to bobble this catch,
and it's going to ruin my reputation.
That's something I would freak out about.
I'd be like, I'm not going in.
I'm not going to walk past them.
So what I did was, after contemplating for too long in my car,
I got on a phone, I faked a phone call as I was walking up.
So I kind of went like.
And they thought you were reaching for a catch
and they tried to throw it to you?
No, thank God.
The thing about playing catch with not your dad,
but your brother specifically is like civilians throw a ball
and it kind of lands in your bread basket.
Just like a soft toss.
Kelly throws them up here.
Yeah.
Lasers.
That's where you're supposed to throw it.
Hurts the hand.
Harts the hand.
I could jam a finger.
Yeah.
That's how Max plays catch with them, though.
Our seven-year-old?
Yeah.
He throws better than me or?
Yeah.
He's pretty athletic.
Yeah, that would be very intimidating.
I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
I'm sorry, too.
You're still thinking about it 15 years later.
What's funny is that even though I did avoid that moment, sooner than later, we did visit.
Yeah, I was going to say, have you played catch with them since?
Yeah, I, yeah, and they know.
They know.
They give you an underhand toss.
We've since visited all Lake Tahoe together and we played some catch in the front yard.
And I disappointed them then.
Yeah, you haven't played since.
I try to avoid it.
Yeah.
I don't, obviously, every year we do the turkey bowl on Thanksgiving.
Obviously.
where everyone in our town gets together and plays a pickup game of football, and I'm with the wives.
Yep.
They're having mimosas and mimosas and bagels on the sidelines.
That's the best place to be, to be honest.
I'm a mimosas and bagel type, too.
It does get a little intense, that little game.
I wouldn't play either.
Shout out our dear friend, the great Eli, who tore up his knee on turf.
I said, babe, it's turkey ball.
You got to play.
He's with his in-laws, too.
He has something to prove.
He cared.
Yeah, he cared.
Well, we have one more, before our wonderful Woody and that segment, we have one more advice.
The Costco membership.
My girlfriend of three years and I lived together last weekend, she asked if she could use my Costco
card.
I told her she couldn't because Costco checks the picture.
She said, then add me to your membership.
I told her the second household card is currently being used by my mom.
This is me.
Literally.
We just went through this.
Okay.
We've lived together for two years.
and your mom is on your Costco membership instead of me,
somehow turned into a fight about commitment.
I genuinely don't understand how buying 48 rolls of toilet paper
became a referendum on our relationship.
Do I kick my 68-year-old mother off Costco for my girlfriend?
And that's from our Kirkland signature boyfriend.
That is funny.
We just went through this.
I hadn't had a Costco membership ever.
And we've been going together.
Josh's a big Costco guy, big Costco guy.
And so he'll just like walk around with the kids sometimes and just browse.
And I don't love doing that.
But we've had to go lately for, you know, parties, event, like things like that.
Costco's brilliant.
Sure.
So we went and I was like, today's the day.
I'm getting my own card because now we have a big car.
I have the gas car.
So I always, I like to go to Costco for gas.
Sure.
And so, yeah, I got my own card.
And what did they say?
They were like the main.
The main cardholder was my mom.
I was her second.
Yeah.
So we had to start her own membership.
Shout out to the great bar of my mom who likes to do Costco for one, which is.
Yeah.
Wow.
She's like, Josh, there's no better produce.
She likes the salmon from there.
She likes the salmon, the produce.
Right.
She does like the locks.
Yeah.
Okay.
So our final segment for the podcast is what do you nuts?
It's our gripes with people, places and things, both big and tall, whatever, sticking in your craw.
I got it.
I have a good one.
I know you have a good one.
Let's hear it.
So we discussed my dad played football.
My dad is now coaching high school football.
It's very cute with his friend who he coached back in the day.
And now they're coaching his son.
And so it's been so fun to go with the kids to like watch their games and stuff on the weekends.
There's nothing better than a little football in the fall,
little Disneyland, a little Halloween.
There's all, I love this time of year.
So we decide on Friday that we're going to drive out to go,
Max and I and my sister to go watch one of their games.
And we're on the freeway.
And my sister's like, this Tesla next to us, this guy, this guy's asleep.
And I turn over.
I kid you not, I have the video.
this guy was full mouth open mouth breathing glasses on head turned to the side like staring at us in our window
passed out and he was in self-drive obviously but we were like there's no there's no way and then 10 minutes
later we're still next to it because we can't we're like we should follow this guy this is this is dangerous
he was still asleep like passed out and I was like how is that possible this is we're driving further
and all of a sudden max goes look there's another one and we turned over another guy fully asleep
in self-drive on the freeway.
Fully passed out.
It was the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life.
That is wild.
Yeah.
And then we're like, that's probably Josh in your test.
I know.
You get all your work done.
But he was like mouth, mouth-breathing.
Like he was asleep.
It was so scary.
And then eventually he woke up and just, oh, then my exit and then drove off.
Really?
Probably take that.
But that was crazy.
I've never seen anything like that.
Well, hopefully he's still with us.
He is.
he was fine.
But I've,
I'd never experienced that.
That's crazy.
To put that much trust?
That's crazy.
I, um,
my Woody Nuts moment is, um,
the phrase,
you know what it is?
No, we don't.
Cool.
Okay.
I so rarely know what it is.
Who said that to you this week that triggered you?
I,
I follow a guy on TikTok and he's got a food review and it'll be like,
I got so.
So you know what it is.
I'm like, you didn't really need to say that.
You know what it is?
No, we don't.
That's just a phrase.
