The following podcast is a dear media production.
Two Jews, both big and tall, no subject, too small for the good guys.
A mother's dream, premium podcast team, make it your weekly routine, it's a good guys.
And if you don't give us five stars, what are you nuts?
What are you nuts?
Yeah, we're the good guys.
We're not the great guys.
We're just so good a good one.
So welcome back to the Good Guys podcast, Ben.
What kind of wedding would you have now after 10 years of married?
Wow.
Okay.
So first of all, we got married at the oldest Portuguese synagogue in New York.
It's 100 years old called Angel Horn Sands.
Safarity.
Yes.
Beautiful.
And I guess back then they incorporated some of what we'd see in churches now.
They were staying glass.
It's a beautiful, beautiful place that they turned into like a banquet hall.
My dad catered.
The food was amazing.
What I would change now is, obviously, the people.
It's hysterical who was at my wedding.
Yeah.
Like, it's just, which comes from getting married young.
I wouldn't change it at all.
There are so many people there that I loved.
There are so many people there that I haven't spoken to in actually, in years, in years.
Tomorrow will be my ninth wedding anniversary, actually.
So I don't think there are plenty of people that I literally have not spoken to in nine years.
So the people, for the most part, I'm pretty happy with my groomsmen, which is good.
But, yeah, I had a great wedding.
I think I would eat more.
The food was so good.
I don't remember.
I don't think I ate anything.
People usually don't.
I don't think I ate anything.
I was a good weight.
It would have been nice to have been thinner.
I was 259.
but that was like 20 pounds lighter than like it was solid.
I felt good.
I felt thin even though I wasn't probably, but I felt thin.
Yeah, not too much.
Probably just the guest list.
What about you?
Okay.
I would.
I feel like let me take out my pen and paper.
There's two versions.
I originally,
we wanted to have a destination wedding and we were considering doing it in Mexico.
because I love Mexico and we did want to do the thing where you have a destination wedding
so it sort of weeds out who really wants to make the effort to come and who probably
shouldn't have been there anyway but you invited them and I literally got a call from my mother
going congratulations on your wedding I won't be here she's a real one for that by the way
Dude, I was like, Mom, what?
What are you talking about?
She goes, my friends are flying in from New Jersey.
You can't ask them to connect.
My friend Nancy will not be connecting.
By the way, there's definitely a.
direct from New Jersey.
Like, what is you crazy?
That's so funny.
I'm your only son.
Oh, yeah.
I'm your only child.
This is not healthy.
Oh, good.
So, but where
we really wanted to do it was Tahoe.
Because Lake Tahoe is one of the
most beautiful places ever.
You would absolutely love it.
And my wife, it's her family.
It's their favorite place to go.
And I absolutely love it.
So there would be that version.
Lake Tahoe, less than 100 people, just out there in that wilderness, homie, and then just
do like a beautiful lodge-type wedding with just great food and destination-y and then set up
boats and things for like the other days so that you could really just have an amazing weekend
with friends in such a special place. Or I would do it this way, which my other dear friend,
the great Justin Anthony, who works at Meta, he had his entire ceremony and wedding
at Spago. He rented out Spago, which is still to this day, 30, 40 years later, one of the great
restaurants in Los Angeles. And yeah, I would just do like a 80 person. I would do more family
than friends. I'm actually sad that I had too many friends and not enough family at the wedding,
like third and fourth cousins and things like I made a big mistake doing that. And I would just
have like, I would have a little more food. Yeah. And then we had the greatest wedding, except the only
negative was that we did it in Malibu, and Malibu has like a hardcore time cut off that if you're
having an outdoor wedding, you can't go past 10 p.m. And that's when things were really, were really
ripping. So I would have liked that. And I would have had a Mr. Softie ice cream truck and I would have
invited Drake. Sorry. A hundred percent. You bring up a couple of, love you. I love you.
points that I'd now like to adjust my answer to.
First of all,
my parents too, and it's fine, it is what it is.
Like, this wasn't a wedding for their friends.
It shouldn't have been.
Absolutely right.
It was, but it shouldn't have been.
And I just, I hope that when I am older and God willing,
get to throw weddings.
I hope that I don't feel inclined to do that.
My son doesn't want it.
Like, there's a line.
You can invite like the closest,
but like when it's like half the party is like your old-ass friends,
I don't know.
I just,
I would attempt to trim that down if I could.
And then we spoke about it on the last episode,
even though my dad was catering and it was absolutely amazing.
I love the idea of bringing in rest.
restaurants. Like if I can have a carbone section, pasta, spreads, whatever. And then maybe I have a sushi
section from like an Ishikawa that I love or a Seki or a nobu or that's really cool. And I've
never really seen that. Maybe it's a second avenue deli even though they screwed me on the coleslaw.
Maybe it's a little second avenue deli section with pastrami or that's cool. I don't think I've
seen people do that, but there's something really cool about that, especially as we're,
we're like so foodie, like coat, like what they did at the U.S. Open.
You have a little caviar nugget bar with coat.
That would be fun.
But again, I also just said that I didn't eat anything.
So I'd probably do it and it's for everybody else.
And I wouldn't even get to eat.
Okay.
And then contraband-wise, I'm thinking we have trays of sigs going around.
Trays of Sigs, trays of Zins, and then trays of splits, wheat.
Like, what's a little bit, like, what's acceptable?
I would rather people would be smoking weed than getting totally shithouse drunk.
How old were you when he got married?
20, 30.
Okay, I was 25.
So in the mind of a 25-year-old, and if I had, if I had, like, more money then,
would have been great to get a late performer.
Like, we had a beautiful wedding band.
They were amazing.
Like getting a Kigo or like somebody and then handing out a little Molly water.
Yeah.
Now that would have at 25, whatever.
Now that plus Sigs plus weed.
That's fun.
Or you hand up bars of chocolate mushrooms.
Ooh.
That's fun.
Yeah, no, we need drugs.
Hard drugs.
Why not?
Totally.
Why not?
This is a fantasy land.
It doesn't have any negative impact on us the next day.
My brother brought a box of Cubans and we wound up smoking Cubans on the lawn with the late great,
I remember my wife's uncle, the late Jeff, Jeff Spurbeck, we miss you, we love you every day.
And he loved a good cigar.
And I just remember him and I ripping cigars in my wedding, just looking at each other being like,
this is the life.
It's really amazing what happens to a guy.
When he gets to smoke something peacefully in nice weather, maybe looking at a very,
view. It's really, really special. It doesn't have to be weed. It could be I ever called
a life-changing cigarette on a bench with a friend looking at the water in perfect weather.
We're very simple people, Josh. We're very simple. We're just looking for calm,
but the upper of the sig or the cigar. And it just, it's really wonderful. What is page? So you did that.
went back to kiss your wife.
Like what is,
what happens then?
You think we're kissing on our wedding day?
You're nuts.
You got a chest bumper.
Yeah,
right.
Straight to bed.
Woo!
Probably because you smelled like cigars.
Probably.
It's all my fault.
It usually is.
The other thing that I would have done that I think is something that we've accepted,
but is real craziness.
And I understand that it is a challenge.
but we can find out a better way,
is that the cocktail hour has now been omitted
for not only the bride and the groom,
but then some of the immediate family.
And I think it's the whole reveal of the whites
and how she's dressed.
But it's a shame because you miss your entire cocktail hour
because you're taking photos.
And I wouldn't do that because we missed the whole thing
and it was a shame.
I really wanted a nice pig and blanket
and I fought for those things.
You also want that time to be able to,
like a cocktail hour is also like in itself a social,
a social lubricant for everyone for the rest of the party.
Like you want to be able to just like casually walk around and greet people and it not be so,
like especially in a seated dinner that it's terrible like that like not having the cocktail
hour.
So yeah, I'm with you.
I'm with you.

You know, on Friday we have a very, hopefully on Friday, but if not, it'll be coming out very, very soon.
It's the first episode that I had to do alone of the good guys.
And boy, did I miss you.
Missed you more.
We had a beautiful co-host, my wonderful wife, Paige, Paige Peck.
Paige O'Brien Peck who stepped in because we got to do something pretty cool, Ben.
Yeah, we did.
Yeah, we did.
I was so sad to miss it.
But look, this, it's a dream partnership with Disney.
Shout out Disney.
You know, it's Halloween time.
It starts at the end of August.
They go all the way through Halloween proper.
And they know how to do everything.
But this Halloween experience at Disneyland, at Disney World, at the California Adventure,
as we know it, the ugy-buggy bash.
This was just an unbelievable time.
I got to go with the Great Max and Shai and Meyer.
Little Meyer, 14 months old,
just getting trucked around Anaheim, California.
It was awesome.
And tell me more about it.
So they gave you,
they gave you the treatment.
We're talking A plus guides.
We're talking, walk us through it, Josh.
For us plebeians, walk us through this experience at Disney.
Look, the truth is, it's the one thing that I'll be absolutely boozy about that if possible,
you get a guide who is someone who knows the park backwards and forwards, they get paid hourly,
and they basically can bring you to the front of every ride.
I've been spoiled from the great John Stamos, and especially when you're in a family of five,
six people and with kids ranging from a year to seven years, it's just nice to have a streamlined
process.
I realize privilege.
But we went and had just the most unbelievable time.
And it was perfect because obviously they have everything for every age.
But Max really wanted to do like the hardcore rides.
And he's finally tall enough to go on Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain and all the things.
But then Shy, my little beautiful artist, he loves the princesses.
He does.
This is a Moana king.
So the guide was like, you know, I know where Moana lives, aka I know where the performer walks out of him.
And she's like, we can wait for her because she'll come out in a few minutes.
And first of all, the people that work at Disney does such an incredible job of training these people.
We went and met Ariel in the princess sort of like they have three princesses that you can do photo ops with.
So Ariel was there and the Little Mermaid and she meets shy.
Ariel or Ariel?
I don't want to fight with you, Ben.
I think it's Ariel.
It probably is.
I don't know.
I think you're thinking of Matt Cutchell's wife.
It's Ariel.
Is there a different...
So there's Ariel and then there's Ariel?
I think she specifically is Ariel.
Like Ariel.
No, is it Tupperware or Tubberware?
It's Tupperware with a P.
See, Chris DeStefano says it's tubbleware.
I guess now that I'm thinking about it, it's a tub.
It's not a top.
It's tub.
But I think it's.
Yeah, but don't distract me.
It's Ariel.
And is it Mario Lopez or Mario?
Mario.
Who's Mario?
Agree to disagree.
It's super Mario.
By the way, Mario Mario Lopez.
I don't know if you follow him on Instagram.
He's hysterical.
Mario Lopez.
Yeah.
He like, he like basically turned his Instagram account and it's like,
a family meme page and just like makes these skits with his kids about like being like a
just like a dad and like it's hysterical he's funny really funny i know i know him from this boxing
gym that we used to work out with uh we used to work out at together and we have box and he's an
incredible shape and a really nice funny guy and i also heard he didn't pay his gym dues
um so could you be richer
He's so rich.
It's hysterical.
He's so, he's very nice guy.
All right.
So Ariel, you went to the, the princess, Ariel from a little mermaid.
She had the schick so dialed.
She, first of all, she hits Shy with like, hello, buddy, like, welcome.
Welcome to my little, my little aquatic paradise.
And like, you're so cute.
And ba, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And then, and then she takes a photo with Shy, shy walks away.
And she sees a little Meyer and she goes,
Hello, little guppy.
Hello, little guppy.
She goes, do you like bubbles, little guppy?
I love bubbles.
I was like, you got a 14-month-old?
She was ready at every end.
It just, it really is, you know,
it almost has become a joke that, you know,
where does a kid want to go, Disneyland?
It's for a good reason.
They literally, for every age,
I'm not just saying this,
I'm saying this because it was a wonderful experience.
We already did.
dedicated ad episode.
This is,
what do they call this?
This is,
uh,
you're in the marketing.
This is called added value,
baby.
Added value.
This is from my heart.
This is,
it's a beautiful time.
It's just added value.
They really do it right.
Um, I absolutely
love Disney.
I love it.
I love Disney world.
I love all the things.
I can't wait to bring my son there.
Going to California Disney from New York.
This is a different kind of Shalap.
So,
uh,
He's too young to enjoy it yet.
He's too young to enjoy it.
But for you and Paige, a hop, skipping a jump.
How long did it take you?
Did you drive?
45 minutes.
You're lying.
Oh, that's a dream.
That's a dream.
Wow.
45 minutes.
And I wasn't expecting this because I was sort of dreading it because we were going to do the podcast in the, in the park, right?
But they were like, well, we want to do a dead center in like the center of the park as you walk in.
a beautiful gigantic Mickey pumpkin behind you and, you know, just the main drag right behind you.
We're like, great.
They're like, but you're going to have to come the next day.
We went on a Sunday.
They're like, you're going to have to come Monday at 6 a.m.
to do it because, you know, it's before the park opens.
And so Paige and I are like, oh, so, you know, we wake up at 5 a.m.
And we, her mom's watching the kids.
And so we drive down to Anaheim, the moment you walk into that park and it's empty and you're
like, oh my God. And of course, everyone working there and sending up the cameras and the audio,
the great Kevin, our producer was there helping set everything up. It's like, the moment you sit
down and you're like, oh my God, like I'm in rarefied air. You're looking at Walt's apartment above
the firehouse. You're like, I can't, but it was really, really special. It was really fun.
Wow. Yeah, kidding a candy store. Well, Disney, we love you. Love you. I'm now thinking you said that
so Ariel was a fantastic actress. Do you think that?
that those park people who have the voice down, who have the schick down, are they also maybe
migrating to a Broadway when one of those goes to Broadway?
I don't know about, I mean.
Or are they just like Park Ariel and then there's a different, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, I think they probably like their next chapter is like as a fitness influencer.
I think they're doing, they're doing natural body.
building shows in Tampa.
Okay, get to now.
Yeah, they're like,
Diane worked at Disney for over 10 years,
and now she's got a great tan.
And she works at a beauty med spa
in St. Petersburg.
Totally.
Totally.
Janine is a masseuse off the I-95 turnpike.
Oh, my God.
Totally. All right. Yeah, I guess so. It is just a job. But it's just, yeah, it's just a job. I guess she's not Ariel. Just one day she's Ariel the next day. She's somebody's wife. Who knows? So this is enough. This will feel overly branded, but it isn't. You know, I have kids. And so I'm busy. I'm on the pizza apps all the time. And so I thought it could be a fun segment for the show, this or that. I thought we could go to Domino's and Pizza Hut's app and see who's got the better deal.
Right now. Like what's the deal that speaks to Benny and Joshy, right? Okay. Yes. And we are not paid by either of these companies. No, but they're crazy not to pay. I agree. That's why this is a great proof of concept. Another good word.
Love that. Okay. So use my location. We're going to do carry out. Not going to share my location on the pod. I don't trust our fans. Yeah. It's smart.
Okay. Here are the marquee. Let's do the, what are we thinking? Okay.
The top four deals currently at Pizza Hut, you could get the triple treat box game day edition.
The triple treat box for 2499.
It's a one medium, one topping pizza, another one medium one topping pizza, bread sticks and a dessert, 2499.
It didn't really speak to me.
I'm not going to lie to you.
Fair enough.
Well, what about my hut box?
I hope she's...
How about that, Ben?
I hope she shaved.
You want to put it in my hot box?
What?
I want that extra large pizza in my hot box.
So when I'm getting it in my hot box good is when I either have a two-topping personal pan pizza,
or you can choose another entree, wings, or...
A buffalo chicken melt, which is kind of like a cassidilla.
Or there's four different of the melts.
You can get chicken bacon parmesan.
You can get a pepperoni lovers.
So you get to pick one entree.
And then you get to choose a side of either wings or fries.
I'm into the hot box.
And that comes with a Bev.
And that starts at $8.99.
Wow, eight bucks.
That's great.
That's a great deal.
Why would you ever pick the one for 2499?
That sounds worse than the one that's $8.
Okay, well, what about, okay, now let's just go to the market.
Let's go to the mountain top.
Okay, let's do the mountain top.
This is the ultimate hut bundle.
Okay.
So you're done putting it in my hut box, and now you want to get, you want to go to my ultimate hut.
And now you want to fuck my face.
Customize your choice of any two medium pizzas on any crust with any recipe,
any breadsticks, cheese sticks, or cinnamon sticks,
ate boneless wings and any two dips for $3499.
That's good stuff.
That's good for a family.
I like the use of the word any.
It makes me feel like I'm in control.
That's right.
Very good.
Okay.
Should we now check Domino's.
So now we understand.
All right,
that's what's going on at the hut.
Okay?
The hut's got a lot of good things.
I think that I have to assume Domino's is better.
I think,
I have to assume,
but let's see.
Should we do our stores deal or a national deal?
I think a national deal.
I think a national deal.
The deals of the nation.
Sure,
yeah,
let other people,
just in case they hear this.
And they're like,
ooh,
I want a triple cheese.
Like,
so they got a real easy one,
right?
They got some really nice,
and easy and that's choose any two for 799.
Okay.
That's a nice.
It's a very nice.
That's a very nice amount of food for the money.
I mean, in the city, you're talking two regular slices for $7.99.
No, a slice could never be $8.
No, no, two.
Four bucks.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
For sure.
Like the norm has become $3.75, four bucks.
Okay.
So you could choose one.
pizza, breadstick, chicken, oven-baked pasta, a salad, oven-baked sandwich, or a dessert.
She could pick two of those for $7.99.
I'm a fan that they do pasta.
Pizza Hut should really do pasta.
This is an Italian-adjacent establishment.
Before they jump to the wings, they should have Italian-adjacent items.
So, yeah, yeah, I'm interested.
Okay, let's go.
let's move to our specific locale.
For $29.99, no, no, no, I want to go to do the big macha.
I want to go big.
Big.
Okay, 2499, you're getting two large, two topping pizzas and a 32 piece
parmesan or garlic bread bite.
Wow.
Wow.
That's a lot of food for that money.
That's a lot of food.
Okay, how about this one?
Two medium one topping pizzas and two.
Two 16 piece bread bite orders choose from Parmesan, garlic, or cinnamon, $2,199.
Also fantastic.
Okay, so you can feed, that's feeding a family of four.
For sure.
So you can, at Domino's, you can feed a family of four for $5.
That's, I'm just saying, in a world of inflation, Josh, that's a great, great deal.
It's a world I'm down with.
too. It's phenomenal. It's delicious. What do we call that segment? And that's deals,
deals and quickserve. This or that? Oh, that's this or that?
The segment's not going to list. We're going to get a cease and desist from Pizza Hut.
And I got to say Domino's didn't have a hut box. They didn't have anything like fun.
No, they didn't have a cool name. Pizza Hut had the cool names for sure. Domino's needs to work on their branding.
They need to work on the brandings of their box, but their deals were better.

A California Post article says that CPAP baddies are trying to make wearing a sleep apnea mask cool.
Good luck.
This is from the Fatso Gazette.
Forget silk rods and curling socks.
Kayla Fawcett found a new beauty tool in the last place you'd expect, her CPAP machine.
One night before bed, the Wisconsinite could have guessed, wrapped her hair around the soft tubing of her headgear, clipped it in place and hit record.
She sent the video to friends who convinced her to post it on social media.
By morning, she had a head full of bouncy curls and a viral hit,
racking up more than a million TikTok views and a comment section full of people eager to try it themselves.
So many women were commenting that this changed their lives.
So yeah, I guess people are just trying to like level up the CPAP experience.
So they're saying that not only if you use CPAP to help you breathe in the middle of the night,
because you're morbidly obese,
you can then also do double duty and use it to curl your hair.
That's what they're saying?
Yes, a movement aimed at normalizing wearing a continuous positive airway pressure device
and having some fun with it.
There is nothing normal about it.
I'm not saying it is not unbelievably helpful.
Okay.
And I was very close to needing one.
If you need one, use it.
They're life changing.
That said, and this is just a fact, 90% of CPAP people wouldn't need a CPAP if they weren't so damn fat.
So, sorry, okay?
The person who's skinny, okay, who uses a CPAP because maybe they have, I don't know, like a deviated septum, they have enough.
Fat tongue.
They've got a huge tongue.
Yeah, it's true.
They got fat tongues.
Something going on, whatever they got.
Then it's okay.
Yeah.
Let's let them beautify.
But like, I could easily.
see Gen Z getting fat to use a CPAP just to be on trend.
You know, like,
ugh,
Jesus Christ.
Well, it says here that CPAP users are more than weird old uncles that snore loudly.
We're young, we're sexy,
and we're not afraid to say it with our masks on.
And that's batty behavior.
Just got a shiver.
They use the device to treat severe sleep apnea.
I mean, shout out.
Look, it's kind of like,
to a lesser extent, I wear a mouth guard at night because I have crazy TMJ.
And on the rare occasion that my wife turns over and goes, let's, you know.
Want to see my hotbox?
Canoodle.
On the rare occasion, my wife lets me see a hotbox.
I have to do the attractive task of removing my mouth guard with like the saliva ring as it,
as it follows and put it on my nights in.
It's not cute,
but I just kind of go like,
let's just forget that happened expeditiously.
It's like throw the CPAP on so you can live longer.
And then when you're going to be, you know, have a sexy moment,
take it off and forget that it happened.
Who cares?
Well, they don't want to take it off.
It sounds like now that it's sexy,
they'd canoodle in the CPAP.
Could you do that?
Yeah.
I think so.
I feel like it would sound like a sound machine in your face.
It would be highly uncomfortable.
It would probably need to be done doggy style.
Mom, turn this off.
But yes, you'd need to be face down, face down ass up with the CPAP.
It'd be like hooking up with Darth Vader.
It would.
Oh, my God.
That sounds awesome.
Yeah.
All right, CPAP baddies.
It's terrible.
Cepat baddies, shout up.
Put it in your CPAP Batty's hut box.
Oh, here's a good one from the post.
Diarrhea-soaked Hi-Rox athlete divides Internet over whether she should have quit.
It might be the stinkiest debate of the year.
A high-rock athlete has divided the Internet after losing control of her bowels,
mid-raised and refusing to stop, raising questions about whether she could have hung up her diarrhea-splattered sneakers
rather than power through to the finish line.
Jesus Christ.
Joanna, a 24-year-old Australian, was caught on camera running, rowing, and lunging
through the Beijing fitness competition over the weekend as fecal matters streamed down her legs
and somehow still managed to clinch first place.
Winning is winning.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, I guess.
Like, that's even, like, I'm like a poo-pooh diarrhea guy.
That's even too much for me.
It's a bit of a, yeah.
Yuck.
It's not nothing.
It's not nothing.
But I guess, I guess, good for you.
power to you, I guess.
Switching gears, Josh.
Can we talk a second about the WNBA?
Please.
Now, I know, as I said that, you got a small shiver down your spine.
You're like, Ben, we were doing so good.
It's not what you think, okay?
I've recently come to realize as the U.S. is playing Caitlin Clark and Angelry, same team.
I'm sure you've seen this.
they've been playing together.
They made me think, which maybe made you think,
which I know made everyone else think,
maybe not you,
that they're mortal enemies,
that they hate each other.
These women like each other.
They like playing together.
They are not enemies.
And I just want to say,
I don't know who did it.
They race baited and they also drove division between,
like the WNBA would be in such a better place.
from a conversation perspective,
if it wasn't turned into
Caitlin Clark versus Angel Reese,
which it was.
It was.
People were like,
fuck Angel,
go Caitlin,
go Caitlin,
fuck Angel.
And it's like,
no,
there's harmony in the players.
What are you guys even talking about?
It's media manipulation.
And I don't know,
when I heard that they were friends,
it bothered me.
It bothered you or made you happy?
It bothered you what the people were doing over it?
It made me happy to know that they're cool.
It bothered me that there are so many people out there that think that they have real malice towards each other and painted Angel Reese mostly as a villain.
Like I thought she was villainous.
I really did.
I thought she was like behind the fuck Caitlin Clark movement because all that you see is these WNBA women like treating her like shit.
and while some of that may be true,
these older heads in the league,
Angel Reese is not one of them.
She's just also a young,
talented player who likes her?
Like,
I don't,
I was shocked.
And do you think that people buy into this idea
that I disagree with that it's,
it's women's basketball,
so there's drama.
I also think that there's a dramatic element in the NBA,
too.
Like,
the NBA is just as much drama.
Like,
I don't know if you remember,
it wasn't manufactured.
Like I remember back in the day,
Kevin Garnett called Charlie Villanueva,
who had a bald head.
He called him a cancer patient.
And that was like a big headline.
There was like all this trash talk.
And then it's like KG's a bully.
And there's drama in the NBA.
There's certainly drama.
There's less in like this league
because like they're all like kind of soft
and like like they like hug after games.
I guess they're just like they have good sportsmanship.
back in the day they didn't.
But like I think there's drama.
I think there's off the court drama.
I think like you have guys like Damian Lillard that was a rapper, like who wrote songs and like mentioned players.
And I don't know.
I think there's so much drama in the NBA storyline.
It's a big reality TV show.
Where's Yonis going to go?
Who's it's just, it's a little.
I guess it's packaged differently.
Right.
Instead of pinning one player against another, they don't have to do that.
But yeah, I don't know.
It's interesting.
KG was mean back in the day.
Boy, yo, boy, is this guy a real menace.
But that was his thing.
He was a mean, mean, mean guy.
Mean.
Okay, so you're under the basket.
You're 6-6-220.
Top prospect, killer player.
What kind of trash talk are you talking?
Because I'm going to be bad.
I'm going to go, I'm going to do the things that are off center, right?
I'm going to look at you, straighten your eyes and go.
You smell like the back of an ear.
You know?
I wish that I wouldn't go to this, but I would probably be like, I fucked your mom.
You know, like, I'd probably be one of those.
Old school.
Yeah, like, have you seen your mom lately?
Yeah, she's at my house.
Like, that would probably be like, I think that's how I'd roll.
See, I would do shit that had a kernel of truth that would start a neurotic obsessive thing in their brain.
I'd be like, your accountant stealing from you.
That would be great.
You know?
Right.
Totally.
Your business manager is taking an extra 5%
and you don't know it.
Fucking idiot.
You're just turning the whole league anti-Semitic.
You got to look into that Jew lawyer of yours.
He's taking you for a ride.
Yeah.
Hershowitz, Hershowitz and Hershowitz is over billing you.
Oh, that's so good.
I get them good, dude.
You got to really just plant inside their head.
No, that's really good.
Yeah, your wife's poisoning you.
She makes you breakfast every morning, right?
Yeah, she's poisoning.
How, yeah, yeah.
How ill would it be if I was, like, getting a triple double every game,
like scoring 30 points a game, but every time I sat on the sidelines, I sat like this.
Let's go, boy.
I'm like, could you fucking imagine, dog?
No.
They're, I, listen.
They're dicks too big.
What are you blind rep?
Like I try to stand up like that.
What are you blind rep?
Their dicks are too big.
They can't do that.
These guys have a whole hogs.
A nice.
They got a nice whip on them.
What do you think it's like to be the NBA player with a micro penis?
I think you need a private shower.
You do, right?
Like that's terrible.
Because I'm sure it happens.
Sometimes it, like, God works in mysterious ways.
You have Shaq, who apparently is a penis the size of my forearm.
allegedly.
And then you probably have Vladi Divac
shout out.
Don't know why I'm thinking to him
with a quarter.
Well, you don't know that that's true.
Don't spread that around.
No, I don't know.
I don't know.
I would be so upset if I were Vladdy Divac.
I thought you're going to say I'm so upset.
I love Vladi Divac.
I can't believe.
And then, hey, listen, you've got, you know, Trevor orisa.
No, I'm getting like, you can't just say random people.
There's going to be a defamation suit.
Head and shoulders in Vladi Divac.
Come after me in a one-two punch.
He just, Ben, all the white players, like, it's a massive class action lawsuit headed by Steve Nash against Ben Zomber.
Oh, God.
But I think in the, I think in the hog game, you just want to be above average.
Is that what's referred to as a boyfriend, a boyfriend penis?
I'm not.
Like, it's just like, not too big, not too small.
I'm not up on that lingo, but that makes sense.
You don't want anything too big.
A Goldilocks penis.
Yeah, what do you do with it?
I would never want a huge penis.
What do you do with it?
But again, is that like the whole thing of like guys stay in shape for guys, right?
It's like, do you want that thing because you want to walk around like the equinox, you know, the, the locker room.
and just be like this darn thing, right?
Yeah.
Oh, sorry.
It hit you in the leg with my big penis.
Yeah.
You know, hold on.
Let me go get the Lelabo product as I lug this darn, you know, my plus one.
Like at what point, though, they're gay.
Do you ever think about this?
Like, statistics will say what percentage of the country is gay?
It's, it's high.
Not enough.
No, but I think it's pretty high.
I think it's something like, I don't want to, Kevin, do you know?
Let's say 25%.
Yeah, I don't want to just throw out a misinformation, Josh.
Okay.
I think it is like 20, 20, 25% something like that.
Yeah.
I'm just saying, I know a lot of gay guys.
It's not one and four.
And statistically it should be one and four.
You ever just walk around and think who's gay and not telling me?
No.
You don't think that?
I think it all the time.
I'm like,
I've known you for a long time.
You're single?
You're mid-30s?
I think you're gay.
I don't tell them that, but I think it.
I don't mean to project.
I think you and I are more vanilla,
if we're being honest with like what we like.
And I think there's a lot of fun kinks and bisexuality
and all these other variations of human sexuality
that are like surrounding us
that we're just like less aware of
than that probably
totally agree with you.
I'm just thinking about my specific
group of friends.
You don't have friends,
you don't have friends
that you think are probably gay.
There's got to be more gays.
Well,
but that's what I'm saying.
It's like I think of those friends
who you know as well as anyone
could know a friend
are probably up to more than you realize.
I understand.
You never really,
you never really know your neighbors.
I understand.
One and four of that
maybe are probably up
more than you realize.
That's interesting.
Having a much better time than we are.
God bless him.
I'm jealous.
That's interesting, Josh.
And you're definitely right.
Now I'm thinking about those people that are definitely doing that.
Mm-hmm.
Wow.
And good for them.
And what's that like?
By the way, great for them.
No judgment.
No judgment here.
Great for them.
Like the biggest anguish in my life is I really want to sleep with my wife.
He's kind of mad about it.
Like, that's it.
Dude, she's the only one for me.
I'm just like, just like, just more, yeah?
Just more straight up, down the line, missionary, both of our eyes closed, okay?
No, I'm sorry.
With two CPAP machines.
Yeah, though our CPAPs on.
We could do it through the sheet, like the casino, like, whatever.
Like, that's my big issue, because I could go out and gallivant around and run through my DMs and just getting a game.
of trouble, but to one end.
To no good end, Josh.
No good end.
That would just be so bad, so quick.
That would end this podcast, quick.
I think it would end your sanity quicker.
You'd just be fucked.
You're right.
Like, you'd be a shell of a human.
You would be.
It would be great for like a period of time.
But then, I don't know, once you've lost that structure, who knows what you lose next, Josh?
I think you're right.
And all the wonderful things that A, a relationship.
Affordes me and B being with someone like my wife affords me who's the best person I've ever known
But I think that because I'm sober and I did this before I met my wife
I think the one way that I allowed myself any sort of addictive behavior was in that
Dating and because it becomes like very pattern based and ritualized like oh like we're texting now we went on dates and like now we're hooking up and what's gonna happen and it's like it can just become become all encompassing yes a hundred
100%. So yeah, I think that if you broke, if you lost that, who knows.
Should we do a moron mail?
Sure, please.
More on now.
Folks, good guys podcast, one at gmail.com.
Keep emailing us.
We'll keep reading them aloud.
This is how to tell a friend they have bad kids.
Oh, boy.
Hey, good guys.
My boyfriend and I are in a phase of life where most of our friends have kids and we don't.
To be clear, I love kids.
I'd love to have kids.
I'm just not there yet.
As some of our friends' kids have gotten older,
they've become more and more insufferable to be around.
They're not well-behaved kids,
slapping us, running around in restaurants,
crying, screaming constantly.
The parents rarely, if ever, address the behavior,
putting us in an awkward position because I shouldn't,
nor do I want to parent your children.
I don't have kids in my own,
so I don't know how to navigate this
without offending our friends.
What do the good guys suggest?
Do we just stop coming around them?
Or do we try to find a way to invite them to things kids can't come to?
How do I tell them their kids aren't allowed?
Thanks, good guys.
What do you think, Ben?
Kind of lost me at the slapping of others.
Like, if your friend's children are hitting or slapping you and the parents aren't doing anything,
I have no issue with you saying,
don't like don't slap me like if you're if you're hit by anyone you have the right to say something back to them
the parents should be parenting crying in a restaurant welcome to having kids like running around
welcome to having kids like it just if you want to maintain a relationship with them and go out
and they don't have sitters and they want the kids there like you're going to have that the physical
violence piece if true would be my gripe and where I'd draw
the line.
But I don't think that you are inviting them.
Then they said, I will just invite them to things like no kids.
It's like, I'm pretty sure that if they had time to do that, they would do that.
But like they probably brought their kids because they don't or they can't.
And schedules are hard and I don't know.
What do you think?
I think it's a dual thing.
I think you can't really gauge what's reasonable until you have kids.
Yeah.
So to your point, like, yes, some of these things are just, when I was, I said I would never do certain things before I had kids.
And now I'm like, yeah, right.
The reality sets in.
But to your point, absolutely.
A, you can have boundaries for yourself.
You don't have to allow bad kids to treat you poorly because their parents aren't policing them.
And you have to walk away from the friendship.
You just have to.
Like, you can love them from afar.
You can do phone calls.
you can set it up on like a workday lunch where the kids are in school or something.
But yeah, don't be around those kids.
I wouldn't be.
I can't stand bad kids.
Yeah, but also, and you never know why a kid is bad.
Also, don't go to a dinner with somebody's kids and pretend that the kids aren't there.
You know?
Right.
Like, especially when they're of age, if they're bad, then they're old enough to be good.
And they know what's going on and they're there.
I don't know how old they are, but it sounds like they're probably seven or eight or.
and like if you're going to dinner with their parents
and you're not engaging them,
I don't know that this is true.
But I would think that a little rage would come out
if they were supposed to have dinner with mom and dad
and all of a sudden they're having dinner with these people
and they're talking about things that they don't care about
and they're not including me and who knows.
I have friends that are just like have a gentle parenting style
where their kids run amok at a dinner that we're at.
I'm just like, nah, no, like we won't do this again.
Yeah.
Well, because it, it embarrasses me.
Yeah, no, if it's really bad kids, which I, I have not, I have not had that yet.
I'm sure I will.
I have not encountered that yet.
Terrible kids.
Oh, yeah, dude.
And, yeah.
Not only, it's not terrible kids, because the kids are cute and sweet.
They just have no limits.
And the kids are, don't have boundaries in that way.
Dude, wait until your kids go to school.
It's a rap.
Yeah.
Like, because then they're just in a class of 20 other kids where the parents are,
Some are great and some are less great.
How do you approach sleepovers?
I don't do them.
I don't really believe in them.
Or they can happen in my house.
That was my question.
It's just such an interesting.
I slept out a ton.
I always loved it.
And I wasn't like getting into trouble.
Maybe I was watching road trip and Euro trip to like see a rogue breast.
But like I wasn't like, I wasn't getting into trouble.
I just like like sleeping at friends' houses.
It was like different and whatever.
And my parents were fine with it.
but the idea that is really crazy when I think about it,
like especially a new friend.
If you've known this person,
you know their parents for 10 years,
it's a different story.
A new friend,
let's say it's the first day of third grade,
and you come home and you're like,
I made friends with Timmy.
Can I sleep at Timmy's house?
It's like,
we don't know anything about Timmy's parents,
anything.
Right.
It's just a crazy concept.
Like we don't know.
anything that you'd literally said it
like in a joking way about kinks
like we don't know our
we don't even know our friends
in whole right
let alone are not friends
at least like friends
you think you know their morals
you think they aren't you like
you think you know them
you probably know most of them
but a stranger
just because like you've met their child
I don't know it's very weird
so yeah I don't
again
making hard and fast rules far in the future.
Like it's not a,
but I think I'm very uncomfortable with the concept.
You know, you'll have,
they'll be able to sleep over at Jackie's house.
They'll be able to sleep over at your sister's house.
They'll be like trusted confidants.
You're like, yeah, those are safe.
Of course.
And then the rest, if there's any riffraff from school,
you say, they can come over here.
It's even come over here, Josh.
Like, isn't that fucking weird?
Especially as they get older.
What if, like, Timmy has a knife?
Yeah, I mean,
You're worried it's going to affect your umbrella policy, your liability.
I'm just thinking, like, what if Timmy's a robber?
Like, I don't fucking know you, Timmy.
You're sleeping in my house?
You smell like stunk?
You want it in your house.
Of course.
And then you just have, like, beds.
You just have a lot of, like, you always get the beds with the trundle.
Of course.
You know, like have a lot of places to sleep.
And I just wanted here.
I don't trust.
Even though I had a friend with a trundle, Josh.
I remember like it was yesterday.
You've told this.
one with the wood chip.
I remember like it was yesterday.
It was peeling off the top.
And he'd pull it over and it was a maid bed just covered in shreds of wood.
It was fucking disgusting.
And I just dusted off.
Get in bed.
Slept amongst wood.
I would go over to a friend's house and then they'd be like,
my parents are laying down some blankets.
We're going to sleep on the floor.
I'd be like, this is going to be bad for you.
I'd be like, with my asthma and your dust mite,
First of all, this 240 pound 5 foot 5 frame is not meant for the floor.
And I am going to get such a wheeze.
And I was like, I'm going to keep you up.
I'm going to keep you up all night.
It's bad for you.
You should have got me an air mattress.
Such a wheeze.
Yeah, if you're inviting people over to your house, have a fucking bed.
Have a bed.
Or a couch.
Or a, yeah, like those futon.
Have something.
Not a sleeping bag.
That doesn't count.
Should we get to Woody and us?
Yes.
Our Whatdy nuts moment of the week is our gripes with people, places, and things, both big and tall, whatever's sticking in your craw.
Josh, has your chat GPT ever just randomly code switched on you?
Is it cursing more at you?
It's cursing at me.
It's cursing.
He literally went to me.
He's like, dude, I think that idea is fucking incredible.
I'm like, what?
Mine too.
I'm like, what?
When did you like, you're not my bro?
Like, what are you talking about?
What are you nuts?
It was so weird.
It's like, yeah, dude, that idea is fucking incredible.
Let's fucking see how we can get it done.
Oh, God.
What?
No, I'm done.
That's so funny.
It must have been a weird update.
Just throwing curse words?
That's the update.
Somebody walks into Sam Altman's office.
They go, boss, I got it.
I fucking got it.
So funny.
My Woody Nuts moment of the week is when people say that their depression meds make them feel differently,
and that's why they don't like them.
Woody and nuts?
Isn't this what we signed up for?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Different?
I'm in.
I've been looking for different.
What are you nuts?
I don't want to feel different.
I do.
That's the point.
I do.
