Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. Two Jews, both big and tall, no subject, too small for the good guys. A mother's dream, premium podcast team, make it your weekly routine, it's a good guys. And if you don't give us five stars, what are you nuts? What are you nuts? Yeah, we're the good guys. We're not the great guys. We're just a good guy.
Starting point is 00:00:28 Mazur-Morans, welcome back to the Good Guys podcast. Josh, I almost killed somebody driving over here. Say more. It wasn't like, no, no, it was, it was actually, it was truly one of the scariest moments of my life driving a car. These Hampton's roads are very windy. Okay. I was going, I was going slow. And by the way, if I was going fast, I would be a murderer today.
Starting point is 00:00:59 You would be talking to a murderer. a construction worker was laying down on the side of the road like his backpack behind his head scrolling on his phone laying down so I couldn't see him
Starting point is 00:01:17 if I was even just outside of the lines I would have run him over and I looked back and it was he was laying there and then there were like guys behind him like eating lunch he was I swear on my life laying within six inches of the white line.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Whoa. On the side of the road, his head, the back of his head facing me as I'm driving. You know how they like throw like a backpack or something behind their head and they're laying on the side of the road. Bad.
Starting point is 00:01:48 I had a heart attack. It's all good. Everybody's safe. Everybody's fine. But let me tell you, that was a real jolt to my system. I was very emotional after. I was like,
Starting point is 00:01:59 oh my God. Like my old, I don't think we could podcast anymore. Did I killed someone? Not today. We'd have to take a few days off. What do we have to take off, 48 hours? Well. Yeah, a couple days.
Starting point is 00:02:19 I'd be in prison. How do we do? I guess we do a remote. Will you do it from prison? A prison pod? It would definitely help viewership. If I was in the slammer and every day I recapped my day in the slammer, There's a new podcast from this guy who has stage four cancer, and he calls it.
Starting point is 00:02:38 And so he does the podcast while he's getting his chemo treatment. It's called the portcast. Wow. Yeah. And he has all these comedians on. It's kind of morbid and great. So prison pod could work. I think prison pod is a great idea.
Starting point is 00:02:53 I think Tiger King should do it. Yeah. I would watch the Tiger King live from the slammer. Welcome back to the prison pod. Welcome back to the prison podcast. What was his name? I was meant to say Todd Crisley. Todd Crisley, by the way, you've been ghosting me.
Starting point is 00:03:12 What the hell, man? Your publicist is going to get, you're going to get in touch? I haven't heard. Where is she? Todd. Yeah, I don't even know if we need Todd anymore. He was excited. No, we need him.
Starting point is 00:03:25 I was excited. I love Todd. No, I'm a. The Crisley's. One of the greatest moments in time in reality. TV. Yeah, it's the, it's the American family. Yeah, I'm down. Grayson. No, I don't know. Oh my God, Josh, Grayson. Do you know Grayson clothing? No. This brand, first of all, I can get you. Oh, my God, so much beautiful free clothes. I think that the owner used to work at Ralph Lauren. They spun up. It's
Starting point is 00:03:52 technically a golf company, but they make the most gorgeous clothing. They invited me to their Southampton showroom. I got $2,000 in beautiful clothes. This, we're talking cashmere sweaters. I got a suit, a suit that's the material of sweatpants. You would never know. I'm going to connect you to them. Speaking of Grayson, you'll love them. Fabulous. I love all aphleisure wear. And having a slumpy suit that's actually sweatpants fiber is top tier. It looks, it looks like my theory suit except it's literally it's sweatpants i'm wearing sweatpants unbelievable it's unbelievable oh so i have to give you a good barb update oh okay okay all right this is good okay okay okay okay this is good okay all right how's she doing let me see how like honest i want to be with the morons
Starting point is 00:04:46 so i don't know if my mom listens to the pod as much anymore but she did give me permission to share this so my mother's 82 she's at a wonderful senior community in southern florida as he Well, no. She's dealing with, she's getting older quick. Let's just call it that. I want to be graceful and I'll slowly share more one day with the people. But, you know, I'm her only son. And so I'm sort of in charge of her health and, you know, her medical decisions, which I'm happy to do. Well, my mom got what a lot of older people get. She got a little UTI. Hey, happens, you know. Sure. God willing, she didn't get it from the way that a lot of women our age get it, which is after, ah! Sorry! Ah! Could you imagine? Yucky. A byproduct or a symptom can be hallucination. So my mom was seeing people. And this was a thing
Starting point is 00:05:51 that we had to deal with for a long time. A long time, I mean a couple days, where she had a lot of these hallucinations. So she would call me, she'd go, Josh, there are people in my room. And I go, should we call the police? And she goes, no, I know they're not here, but there's people here. Now, my mom is a lovely aid. And as we know, in South Florida and New Jersey, a lot of the East Coast, a lot of the people who work in nursing and whatnot are these wonderful people, either from the islands, from Jamaica, from all over the Caribbean, beautiful, extraordinary people who are truly the salt of the earth. And my mom is this wonderful aid who was helping her.
Starting point is 00:06:30 And she goes, Tamara, there's someone behind you. And all I hear from Tamaria is, there's no one here, Ms. Barbara. No, Miss Barbara. You're hallucinating. And I was like, Tamara, I'm sorry. And, you know, I'm having these side talks with Tamara. And she goes, she's fine. She's just, you know, and she's seeing these people.
Starting point is 00:07:07 And then my mom goes, you know, there's a woman sitting on my bed. And I go, okay. I said, you know, it's a hallucination. Right? Mom, she goes, yeah, she goes, you know, it's a shame. She's very overweight. I'm like, what the fuck? I'm like, that's so, I'm trying to think.
Starting point is 00:07:29 So first of all, I hope she gets better soon. We love you, Barb. If you are listening, we love you. And we don't want you hallucinating. I'm sorry that you're going through that. That can't be fun. I'm trying to trap my head around knowing that you're hallucinating. You know?
Starting point is 00:07:44 Because that almost seems like, I never like, okay, you see someone. but you know that they're not there. Right. How does that even work? I mean, look, thankfully, you know, we're able to, and I know that I'm in a unique position where I have the money to be able to, like, get my mom help, thank God. And, you know, so. I should pause you there for one second.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Nobody has the money to get their mom help. I just want to say that. Like, I don't think I say that enough to you. And I don't think just because we're diving into this, not enough people talking. about this or know this. If you are helping out your parent financially, even if you have all the money in the world, that could have been something that used on something else. And it's a really big deal. And I'm sure she's very thankful. But like I've heard this like time and time again. I was on a call earlier this morning. And this woman who I was on the call spoke about how like
Starting point is 00:08:39 the financial burdens of moving her parent into an elder care situation. It's very expensive. And no matter how well off, well-to-do you are, it's still a big undertaking. Thanks, yeah. And I think a lot of people deal with it. And, you know, look, our culture in America is different from a lot of the other world where most people from, you know, outside the U.S. would be like, you have an elderly parent. Like, why aren't they living with you?
Starting point is 00:09:10 Right. But we unfortunately don't always have that here. And my mom was in California. And it was great for almost 20 years. But two and a half years ago, she was like, my friends are in Florida. And I love your family. But it's an opportunity for me to go be there in Southern Florida. As you know, for an old Jew from New York is kind of the epicenter.
Starting point is 00:09:33 And she's like, I'd really like to try it. So it's hard that she's away, which is why I need an aid to help me when I can't be out there myself. But, and, you know, I don't have siblings or anything. But it's been an interesting, interesting journey. and I feel lucky that I have, I'm able to get her the help that she needs. And I think that as kind of, you know, the medicine was kicking in and she was getting better, she had a better understanding of like, well, clearly they're not here. Like, they're not just standing around.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Like, you know, she's like, nothing's missing. I'm like, yeah, Ma, you're not getting robbed by your illusions. But. So scary. I just found it fascinating that she was judgmental. of her fat hallucination. This episode of the Good Guys podcast is brought to you by our friends at Carraway.

And if you're not watching your weight, I don't want to hear about it, okay? I don't want to hear that you don't have to watch your weight. Because we over here, we all have to watch our weight.
Starting point is 00:13:02 And let me tell you, I don't miss anything because I get to have my turkey sandwich on my white bread and not have to think about all of the sugar calories and nonsense in it. Because hero bread just makes better bread. They make better tortillas. They make better noodles. They make better everything. It's all better for you. And it just makes those experiences that much better.
Starting point is 00:13:25 You can still have the burger. You can still have the sandwiches. You can still have the fetuccini Alfredo. But you can do it more mindfully. And let me tell you, you are not compromising on taste and texture. You would never know that they're burger buns, that they're white bread, that they're tortillas, that you would never, ever know that this was healthier bread. You would never, ever know.
Starting point is 00:13:48 You're ready for this? You would never know that their hero noodles have 32 grams of fiber, 12 grams of protein, and there's 80 calories per serving. You would never know, and you would never know that all of their products range from 0 to 5 grams in that carb as 11 to 32 grams of fiber from the texture and taste. You would have no idea. Their breads are insane if you've never tried them. It's no compromises, just flavor.
Starting point is 00:14:12 You got to. You got to. And Hero Bread is offering 10% off your order. If you go to H-E-R-O. dot-C-O and use code Guys, G-U-I-S at checkout. That's Guys at H-E-R-O-C-O-Hero.com. Nobody is more fat-phobic than somebody who is or has been fat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I can't. I look at anyone and I think about their weight. anyone, and I think about their weight. I don't know if normal people think about other people's weights like this. I'm sure they don't. Yeah. By the way, Josh, I have a new diet hack. Before I go to bed, I eat a carton of blueberries.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Let me tell you, they fill me up. I don't want a snack. And it's been very helpful for me. One carton of blueberries. Within three hours of bed, are you doing this? I'm doing it 90 minutes before bed. Can't you just try to. stretch it. I'm sleeping like a baby. You think that. Something's working, Josh. I'm sleeping like a baby.
Starting point is 00:15:17 And it's probably because what you're striving for is perfection. Where I'm at right now is a middle ground. I'm not eating. I even though they were diet snacks, I went in. I was eating a bag of drizzle. I was eating just like two like, okay, I get it. It's 90 calories per serving. There's five servings. These little yasotopopables, delicious, healthier, Greek yogurt. whatever. I was eating too much. I was eating too much. And blueberries, they fill me. They give me that sweet tooth. Blueberries and madmen, I'm sleeping like a rock. All right. I agree. I'm going for perfection and you're going for pretty good. No, no, no, but you want, okay, so perfection to you is you stop eating three hours before you go to sleep. It's not perfection. I've just read
Starting point is 00:16:05 from the great Brian Johnson who wants to live forever. Another person who's been ghosted. steamy left and right for the podcast. He says that if you don't leave that three hour window before you fall asleep, if you don't leave it empty without food, your body naturally will spend a lot of that sleep time, digesting the food, heating your body up so that you don't, you like literally go at one degree higher in temperature.
Starting point is 00:16:32 It just, you don't get the restful sleep that you'd get if you just ate the blueberries at seven. But I get it. I go to sleep. 9.30. I don't know how. I mean, I guess I eat dinner at 5. I guess I could.
Starting point is 00:16:48 I could. 6.30? It would take a lot of willpower. You know, last night, maybe I did two and a half hours. I don't think I ate past 7 and I went to bed at 9.30. I think my timing's just a little bit off. But yeah, it's a lot of willpower. but if you're a big fat fatty
Starting point is 00:17:09 and you're struggling with snacks at night, just grab a carton of your favorite berry. They're mainly water. And some fiber. And they're really delicious and fiberous. Yeah. So I've heard the raspberry is number one. 90% water, very fibrous.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Is it as fun a berry to eat as black or blueberry? No. But if we're striving for perfection, raspberry. I love her. You say rassberry. Raspa. Rasper.
Starting point is 00:17:39 No, I say raspberry. I think the people who say raspberry just wants you to know that they can spell. Yeah, absolutely. There's no reason to say it like that. No, it's a show-off thing. I get it. You can spell. Yeah, Mazel. I get it. You can spell.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Yeah. What do you want an award? What do you want a trophy? We love you, Barb. And I hope you're staying in the air conditioning because South Florida in July is, what are you nuts? Oh, my God. No, my mom is having the time of her life at the beautiful single. your community. She doesn't leave her room. But other than that, she's loving it.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Are the ladies, does she play mahjong? You've asked, no, she doesn't. She thinks she's too good for it. She's busy criticizing her fat hallucinations.
Starting point is 00:18:22 She needs to play mahjong. And the fact that I forgot that you said no means that she really needs to play mahjong. Like that means that she should be playing mahjong. Barb, this is a fun game.
Starting point is 00:18:32 The kids are in it too. Everybody's in. You'd love it. Like, My mom has this doctor who comes, a new doctor, and they do house calls for older people. And so she was telling me, she's like, I have this wonderful new doctor. He's fabulous. I'm, like, expecting to hear her say, like, oh, he's, you know, trained at John Hopkins.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Or he's, like, has all this accreditation. She goes, tall, thin, what a handshake. I was like, maha, you are. shallow. Oh, my God. Tothin, what an hand shake. Oh, man. Our parents. She's a treasure. I was going to say, even Bruce are about to take their yearly pilgrimage to another place last year.
Starting point is 00:19:22 The Galapagos. Yeah. And this year, they're going to South Korea. They flying to Tokyo. They're going to South Korea. They're going to Vietnam. They're exploring that area. And let me tell you, I'm worried. I'm worried about my dad on this strip.
Starting point is 00:19:50 My mom, she's different. Even though they're like, they're two years apart in age. They feel about 15 years apart in age. My mom is Sprightly. And I just don't want my dad to get lost. I really don't. Benjamin, I'm in Ho Chi Minh City. Benjamin, we're in South Korea.
Starting point is 00:20:09 I'm saying in filet a soul. You get it, Benjamin, Falae soul. Oh my God. And I really hope he doesn't drink too much and then put on an Asian accent. Oh, God. He can do that.
Starting point is 00:20:27 And if he does that there, he's not coming home. Benjamin, I had too much soju and I offended our tour guide. Oh my God, that's going to happen. Benjamin, I was telling our tour guide about where the name Lulu Lemon came from. He didn't get it. He didn't think it was just funny. Lulu Lemon, you know, it's a thing.
Starting point is 00:20:57 I'm so worried. I'm so worried. But they're going to have a great time. Okay, so Tokyo, Seoul, and then Vietnam? I think they just fly into Tokyo. they go to South Korea, they go to Vietnam, they go on a bunch of different stops. It's like one of these like programs.
Starting point is 00:21:11 They did it last year too. It's with a bunch of other couples. And it's, I don't think a swingers event, but they go with another couple. And they have a great time. And they're fortunate that the husband is also very active and a doer.
Starting point is 00:21:29 And the wife doesn't really want it too much. My dad doesn't want it too much. So the more I think about it, it's probably a swingers. event. Benjamin, do you know where my pineapple door hanger is? I swear it's purely a coincidence. I just like it.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Don't read into it, Benjamin. The pineapple door hanger. Isn't that what they put on the door? Yeah. They do. Pineapple. I wonder what it's like and I say this in all sincerity.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Like, for Bruce and Ava, right? They raised two amazing kids, married, when has a kid, like, obviously you never stop worrying about your kids, but like so many major milestones accomplished. Thank God. They have their health.
Starting point is 00:22:16 They, you know, they have enough, you know, scratch to go on a nice trip. Like, I just can't imagine what it would feel like to walk around these amazing places and like kind of go like, I got nothing to worry about. Like. The H. Right? Yeah. Pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:22:33 From an outsider's perspective, it's all I could ever want. Truthfully, it's all I could ever want. But similarly, you've met them. Like, I absolutely hit the jackpot. Like, we've been on, like, a million different, like, we've spoken about it, but we've also had, like, guests on, like, a Jesse Kirsten
Starting point is 00:22:51 or a Mel Robbins or whoever it was. And, like, gone into a little bit, like, oh, like, my parents this, my parents, that. And, like, there's always been, like, a running joke. Like, oh, like, Ben, there's really nothing. And it's, like, like really no. Like sure, eating food for sure, that stuff.
Starting point is 00:23:10 But like besides that, like I really am like the most, one of the most fortunate people ever. Right. It's just, it's really their salt to the earth, like would give me their last anything. Like you want me to go there, I'll be there. You need me to do this, I'll do that. And it's never with any judgment.
Starting point is 00:23:30 It's like it's so, I'm very, very blessed. and want to be that for Ruby, will be that for Ruby. Like, it really is that way. Like, if you have great parents, you're, I think it's significantly easier to be a great parent. If you didn't, I'm sure it's hard to figure it out. But, yeah, I'm very fortunate. Very fortunate. Yeah, it's like, I'm in a funny place because I, like, obviously, like, my whole life is,
Starting point is 00:23:59 is about being a dad and it's, like, my greatest joy. And I never thought I would get to this point. And I hope you're not listening page. But like we have a 7.3 and one year old and it's the greatest. And it's hard. And where we are in our lives right now, I've like, I never felt this. And I'm like, I feel done having kids. Like I'm good.
Starting point is 00:24:22 And usually when I would think that way, I would get so sad at the idea of never having another baby again. Or like, as they get older, like missing out on like having purpose. and to be needed and wanted. Because, you know, as they move up throughout their life, like I feel it with Max, even, where he, like, really loves being with his friends over hanging out with us sometimes. I mean, he's still, he's young, he's seven,
Starting point is 00:24:45 so we're still his primary. But, you know, it's healthy. And, uh, but yeah, it's like, I also, there's a part of me that goes, like, I did this three times and it's been fabulous. And I don't know if I need to do it a fourth and fifth time, which, yeah. I imagine it's healthy and good.
Starting point is 00:25:03 I think it's healthy and good. I think it's good to be content. Like you have knock on wood, three beautiful, healthy boys. Like, yeah, there's also, like, something to that. And, yeah, I think that not to get too morbid, I definitely think about my mortality a lot. I think about my parents a lot.
Starting point is 00:25:25 I sit up at night. Like, I'm sure you do the same thing. You said your mom is aging. Like, it's hard. It's very, very hard to think like this. But I also think, like, okay, depending on when I have my last child, God willing, or when my wife does, and I just like sit there and like do my thing, I will then be, they'll be, if I'm 40
Starting point is 00:25:48 and I'm fortunate enough to live to 90, that's a beautiful full life. They lose their dad at 50. Like it's just, I saw it with my dad because my dad has a 13-year age gap to his older brother and then a 20-year age gap to my deceased aunt. Right. And so I lost both of my grandparents on his side by the time I was seven. And he, in turn, lost his parents, I guess, in his 40s. Right. And that's not because they didn't live. live beautiful full lives. They did. They died in their late, late, late 80s. Right. But it's also that.
Starting point is 00:26:35 And I'm not saying that 50 beautiful years isn't worth it. But it's something to think about, too, that I think about a lot. I really do. It's nice. But when people in their 60s still have their parents alive, I'm like, you know, that's weird. Yes. When you're a grandparent with parents, for sure. you meet those kids as well. And I just think they're, they're so fortunate, but they're a different breed. You'll meet a 33-year-old with grandparents, and they don't get it at all. Right. They don't get it at all. Like, I will see people like so sad, and I get it. Of course, you're so sad that your grandfather passed away. You're 33. You had a grandpa, 33? Right. It's pretty lit. It's unbelievable. It's Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:27:27 This episode of the Good Guys podcast is brought to you by our friends at Branch Basics. Folks, here's the thing. If you're someone who pays attention to what your family is eating, what's going on with their skin, and what's in your environment, you probably also care about the ingredients in your cleaning products. When you start paying attention, you realize a lot of conventional cleaning products contain things linked to hormone disruption, skin sensitivity, and respiratory irritation with repeated exposure, even when they're marketed. to feel safe or natural. That's because in the U.S. companies aren't required to disclose every ingredient in those formulas. And even if it looks like they do, they may use generic words like fragrance on the list
Starting point is 00:28:08 which can legally mask hundreds of harmful chemicals. And the more you look into it, the more you understand that what you clean with, what you clean your kitchen counters with, your dishes, your clothes, has the potential to shape the health of your home more than you realize. Starting point is 00:31:15 It's the most wonderful time of year at Staples. Do you want to know what I did yesterday? Guess. Real Hollywood shit. Real celebrity. Really? Celebrity. I mean, considering it was a Tuesday,
Starting point is 00:31:33 maybe you went to like a party from five to seven. Close. I got a full body MRI scan at pre-newvo. Ooh. Hollywood. That is like the Hollywood. Is there anything that makes you? more of a nervous Nelly than doing something like that?
Starting point is 00:31:51 You know, my wife was the one. I had talked to them like a year and a half ago and I was going to do it and then I just wound him not doing it. And then my wife was like, you remember that pre-newvo scan? Can we do that? I think she's just like a little bit gets in her head about things. And so, wow, let me tell you, I haven't gotten my results yet, but whatever they are, even if this experience was so good, even if it's bad news, it was worth it.
Starting point is 00:32:14 What, walk me through the experience. Okay, so you go in, this is just, and by not sponsored nothing, just a nice experience. You go in, they do a quick little assessment. This is how I know that I am an addict. So my wife, they ask you in your questionnaire, they go, are you claustrophobic, afraid of tight spaces, blah, blah, blah, blah. And my wife was like, yeah, I have anxiety about that. I was like, no, I'm a man. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:32:44 And they go, oh. And so my wife was like, oh, they're prescribing me some anti-anxiety medicine for the scan because they know that I'm claustrophobic and I get really nervous in an MRI and I go, fuck! I should have answered differently. So then I see what they prescribed her and I'm like, what, I'm like, what did you get out of van, Valium, Xanax, the good shit. And she goes, no, it's like, it's called Hydrox. or something. Basically, it's like a strong antihistamine in the Benadro family that makes you just like a little bit, you know, drowsy and relaxed.
Starting point is 00:33:24 And it's very short acting. And it's like, and I just looked at her pill bottle and went, ugh. Like this is how I know I'm sick. I'm like, oh. Like, yeah, that's too weak. Yeah. What? Like as soon as I looked it up and it was like antihistamine and I was like, like for what um so i'm glad i didn't get those pills um but yeah it's really have you ever had an MRI before probably for your head right when you have surgery i've had i was going to say i've had a lot of MRIs a lot and it never got easier for me to be in that tube without a valium or something like i get very claustrophobic in that type of environment very You know what I found nice was basically they have something over your face so that you can, they're scanning your brain too.
Starting point is 00:34:23 But they also, and there's like a mirror pointed at a TV like a projector behind you. And you have audio in your headphones so you can watch Netflix. Oh, that's lovely. It was lovely. So the whole thing like, and it was, it took about 50 minutes. But I fell asleep during it. It was like a wonderful easy. I get my results in two days.
Starting point is 00:34:44 So then they have a radiologist go through it with you. But they can see like 500 different kinds of possible, you know, disease, cancer in its early stages. Also, really, I just want to know why I get out of bed in pain. I get out of bed, my back hurts, my elbow hurts, TMJ, a Lisp. It's not good. And they're going to be able to tell you about that stuff? Well, definitely back issues and possibly like any tears.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I don't know exactly and I don't want to over talk. but I think it really gives you like a good baseline about where your health is at and where you can be proactive if you want to be. Interesting. Like I think I'm just too much of a hypochondriac to do something like that. Why? Like I don't know. I just like I would.
Starting point is 00:35:29 I'm sure that like there's nobody in the world that would get a clean scan. Totally clean. Is that even possible? I feel like we all have something going on. And like maybe it is smart to get ahead of it. I am I am definitely pro getting ahead of scary things. But you do like the function, you'll do like the function proud sponsor the good guys. You'll do like that is as informative as anything else.
Starting point is 00:35:56 A really in-depth blood tests that can tell you like that stuff. That stuff I do. I guess it's the same thing because I do love blood tests. Me too. I love it. I guess right? Yeah, it's amazing to see, especially when they're good. You get to see that you're all normal or all great.
Starting point is 00:36:12 I guess that, yeah, you know, maybe I'll give it a shot. Maybe I will give it a shot. Did you see the video of the guy who's walking down the street and he goes, just saw a bunch of guys under a bridge shooting a peptide. So cool to see them really focusing on their health. Yeah, I've seen that. Should we get to a weird story? I would love to.
Starting point is 00:36:34 I want really weird. He had anything really weird or just like fringe weird, strippers, the boob jobs, guy who's bleeding after penal something or other. The Post, I need really weird. Well, from the New York Post,
Starting point is 00:36:51 pregnant and shameless, women's in-and-out order sparks loud opinions after viral post. She had a bun in the oven and four more in her stomach. A pregnant woman had viewers salivating after sharing photos of
Starting point is 00:37:08 the massive in-and-out banquet. ordered to satisfy her prenatal cravings. Pregnant and shameless, the hangary customer ordered two cheeseburgers, two fries, one strawberry shake, and one large pink lemonade. If that wasn't artery clogging enough, the Redditor also had one of her fries and one of the burgers, animal style. Nothing wrong with that. Who gives a shit?
Starting point is 00:37:30 What does this even mean? Is the Post shaming a pregnant woman? Yeah, let that queen eat. She's hungry. Maybe she is having twins. She could be eating for three, four, five. Maybe her goal is gestational diabetes, which is lit and trending. She could be down.
Starting point is 00:37:49 It could be that. Or she could just be freaking hungry, Josh. Maybe she's hungry. Leave her alone. Leave the woman alone. Yeah. Also, airlines could ban certain disruptive conversations on flights under passenger sanity bill.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Good. The Quiet Skies Act is a rare move of bipartisan, in legislation that could finalize a ban on in-flight calls on commercial planes. That's allowed? I guess it's just frowned upon now. Not like, not illegal. Like, I guess, you know what? I've never thought about this before, Josh.
Starting point is 00:38:26 We know that smoking, for example, in the bathroom of an airline is a finable offense and you could go to jail. You also know similarly in a taxi cab, if you were to put your hand. on the taxi cab driver, punishable up to 25 years in prison. There are signs that we've come to know. But they say over the loud speaker on a plane, you know, they say maybe their recommendations, Josh.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Maybe they're strong recommendations, not things that are illegal. Fascinating. If you, I just know I'm going to get in a fight about this. Like, if you are on a, on my phone, flight on the phone, there better be an air marshal on board dog. I'm gonna be like Dustin Porriere when he got pulled off the plane and he was like, it's gonna be bad.
Starting point is 00:39:19 It's gonna be bad. Like, if you're on the phone, I'm going to call you out. We're gonna have a fucking issue. They're gonna, they're gonna land this plane and we're both going to jail. Are you, you're going to tell them. Yeah, 100%. So I wouldn't tell them. I would complain about them forever to you.
Starting point is 00:39:39 But I wouldn't tell them. I might, if they're not near me, like, I might tell the flight. I guess actually if they're next to me on the phone. Little tattletail. I would probably say something if they were next to me. I have to. You have to. If they're on a call on a flight, this is no good.
Starting point is 00:40:00 No good. No good. This is no good. Well, single women reveal the strange new dating deal breaker. It's a heavy no for me. It's having a roommate. Women don't want to be with guys who have roommates. They want them to have their own place.
Starting point is 00:40:14 It's really not that shocking. I get it. Totally. I get it. You're not in, like, you're not having a threesome. There's no like polygamy going on here. Right. Like, you, you should be dating a man with his own place.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Yeah. I think that's fair. That way, eventually it's yours and his place. Or you should be dating a woman with her own place. Somebody needs to have their own quarters. One of you needs to have your own quarters, certainly. Yeah, no, I think that's a very, very normal ick. Unless, of course, we're talking, like, if you're in your 20s, no problem.
Starting point is 00:40:53 But if we're talking about upper 20s, 30s, you need to have your own place. Even if it's small, it should be a place of your own. Otherwise, I don't judge her whatsoever. Well, did you know that Oreo and Reese's teamed up for a Coldstone Creamery, new ice cream Taco. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Have you seen it? I want it bad. I want it fucking I haven't seen it, but let me tell you, the greatest place in the world is Coldstone. Sure is. I love Coldstone. And when you think about it, the name is genius. It's literally a cold stone. Yeah. I know. You think I don't know. It's genius. Okay, so tell me about this taco. It's filled with ice cream and then they put Reese's on top or they put like Orioles. on top? It's like a Reese's Oreo
Starting point is 00:41:40 dusting on top with Oreo ice cream and it's hearty. It's a handful. So they call it a taco, but really it is just a waffle cone shaped like a taco. Is that right? Okay. Sure. What's really that, right? That's what it is. It's a waffle
Starting point is 00:41:56 taco. A taco is just corn in the shape of a taco. Yeah. Correct. But this isn't a corn tortilla. No, no. This is a waffle. This is a waffle. Yes, Your Honor. God, no, stop your cross-examination. That sounds spectacular.
Starting point is 00:42:14 I went to an ice cream place. I didn't realize this. I went to an ice cream place over the weekend. And I watched them hand-making waffle cones. I watched Start Out Flat and they roll it. I guess I don't know how else you would have done it. I watched them do it. It was magic.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Sure is. And then, Josh, I got the 25-calorie, no sugar, no lactose. Soft serve. Let me tell you. Instant bellyache. Instant. Instant. You think you're cutting calories?
Starting point is 00:42:50 Sure. Sure, you're cutting calories. But you're developing like an ulcer. Yeah. Don't do it. I'm never doing it again. This is the last time that I have diet ice cream like this from a soft serve. Lactose for, no, no.
Starting point is 00:43:04 No. Just eat it. Just eat it. just eat it. Have a small one. That should be Nike's new slogan if they made something for Fatsos. Just eat it.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Just eat it and have a small one. This episode of the Good Guys podcast is brought to you by our friends at Resort Pass. Starting point is 00:47:02 slash safety. This episode is brought to you by Starbucks. Josh, I know I say this all the time. I'm fair weather Sally. I know. And by the way, I just made that up, Fair Weather Sally. I like that.
Starting point is 00:47:15 But this, Josh, this is the drink of the summer. It's my new favorite drink. It's the blended pink energy drink from Starbucks. And let me tell you, it is refreshing. It is creamy. It is delicious. It's everything you need. It's so funny you bring up the Starbucks blended pink energy drink
Starting point is 00:47:33 what I'm enjoying right now. Watch for the sip. Is this ASMR? Did you hear the after? I didn't put that on at all. And I've gone to 15 years of acting class. You'd think I'd be further in my career. I digress.
Starting point is 00:47:48 But this is so fruity. It's so refreshing. And you know what else is great? It's got a little boost of energy for on the go dads like us. Or if you're just on the go. We could always use a little boost of energy. And let me tell you with flavors of sweet strawberry and assayi. I like my pronunciation.
Starting point is 00:48:06 None of that a kai crap. A sai are blended with real pieces of strawberry, coconut milk, and ice. Josh, even your vegan wife can enjoy this. I love everything about this. And it's really, it's giving summer. I feel like I'm not in a podcast studio right now. I feel like I'm at a pool. I just put it in order.
Starting point is 00:48:27 I ordered you ready for the order? I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and a side of fries because I deserve it. Oh, oh my God. And don't forget your blended pink energy drink from Starbucks, folks, if you're looking to switch up your order. This blended pink energy drink is it. I'm telling you, you won't regret it. It's a 10 out of 10. Order it on the app.
Starting point is 00:48:46 The Starbucks blended pink energy drink, it's the drink of the summer. You want to do a moron mail? Sure. More on now. I have two of them. Okay, first of all, folks, the moron mails through the roof. Good Guys, Podcast One at gmail.com. Keep writing in.
Starting point is 00:49:06 We'll keep reading. We're friends. Okay? You delivered to me? I delivered to you. Josh, I have one that's really, I debated not even doing this one. Okay. It's bad.
Starting point is 00:49:19 It's bad. Good. Good. Hey, good guys. I'm a Midwest mom who has been listening to you since the very beginning. Thank you very much. Unfortunately, this is a true story. My husband and I have two small kids together,
Starting point is 00:49:34 and he's from a small town. My mother and father-in-law still live in that small town. One of their close neighbors has several feral cats. My father-in-law gets mad because these feral cats defecate in his yard. He used to catch them and drive them far and up away so they wouldn't come back. But I just found out, Josh, this is bad. He drowned. that he drowned the cat.
Starting point is 00:50:01 Oh, yeah, y'i. This is incredibly disturbing to me and my husband thinks that this is psychopathic behavior. I no longer trust him with my young kids and I don't know what the future looks like. What would you do? Yes, Ben, I know there are so many layers and you need more info, but I tried to keep it short.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Thanks so much. Love you all. Anonymous, please. P.S. Josh, please let Ben continue his euphigen, I doubt, buyer impressions. That's the best. No, they're not.
Starting point is 00:50:27 No, they are. Oh, your tea, sugar in your tea. You can't be friends with somebody who drowns cats. You should report him and he should be in jail. When I read this, my stomach sank. I almost didn't read it. But I wanted to talk about the severity of this. I really did.
Starting point is 00:50:44 It was one of the worst things I've ever read. And I'm so sorry, we should put a trigger warning on the episode. It's not. It is horrible. Horrible. If you want, take that cat, bring it to ASP. BCA. You know what I mean? I've never, I could not, I mean, I couldn't believe it when I read it. And you need to, this man needs help. He should be in jail. I think you're just saying that
Starting point is 00:51:12 because cats are cute. I think cats are so unbelievably not cute. I hate cats. And I'm saying that. I'm the opposite of a cat person. I was five years old. The cat scratched my arm. I never forgot it. freaking bastard. No. But just like there's Kobe or LeBron, there's cats or dogs. I'm a dog lover and a big cat lover. These little cats and me, we never got along. That said, drowning a cat, he should be in jail.
Starting point is 00:51:40 I don't know the particulars, but let me pose this question for you, because we're talking about country rules, right? We're not talking about city rules. Yes. Okay, here's an example. Wild boars, wild pigs are an invasive species in North America. Routinely, even coyotes. Routinely, farmers will bring somebody in with a rifle and a scope,
Starting point is 00:52:07 and literally will just start popping them off. Sometimes they come in on helicopters, that's a little much. And literally, giant, beautiful boars, giant animals, and they're an invasive species, they're messing up the ecosystem. They're eating, they're hurting other animals. It makes it so. It's throwing off the entire economy. It's throwing off everything in that area.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Yes. That okay? I think that I would have reacted differently if this guy had shot the cat. Okay. I think that the pure act of drowning the cat is so medieval torture. Oh, it's the worst. That's not a way to what you're describing, like a predator or two, which, by the way, the cat's strays or whatever, it's bad. Okay?
Starting point is 00:52:56 The cat shouldn't be there. No problem. Get rid of the cat. Give the cat to, I think, because ASPCA doesn't take boars. If they did, I think you give them the boar. But let's say, okay, no problem. Shoot the cat. Drown the cat?
Starting point is 00:53:14 No. Totally. So you're not okay with the means in which he did it? I'm not okay with the means in which he did it. And I just think that the difference is that we keep cats. his pets. Right. So number one, the way he did it.
Starting point is 00:53:30 And number two, yes, there is absolutely a hierarchy in America. Does it make sense? No. Cats and dogs, cows, horses, all this stuff. And then, yeah, if you're wild, you absolutely take a back seat. No question. It's not right, but you take a back seat. Like, I wonder, though, if the ASPCA of a country-ass town or city would even accept a feral
Starting point is 00:53:54 cat, if they would be like, it's, feral. Like, this is a country cat. Like, what do you want us to do with it? No one's going to adopt it. It's absolutely a great question. In my opinion, you give it, do your best, bring it to the ASPCA, and they should have a euthanization team. And like, I just, I guess if they're, yeah, okay, sorry. No, no, that's it. I just like, yeah. Yeah, I agree. It's, I mean, it's, it's brutal. I couldn't ever live or deal with that and who knows. But. Crazy. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:54:28 I couldn't believe it when I read it, so I had to share with you. A good one, by the way. Very provocative. Very provocative. Do you want to do Woody and Nuts? Oh, perfect. Yes, we should absolutely do Woody and Nuts or Woody Nuts moment of the week. It's our gripes with people, places and things, both big and tall, whatever is sticking in your craw.
Starting point is 00:54:47 Josh, I have one, okay? My what are you nuts is myself. I disgusted myself this morning, and I've done it to myself in the past. I go out every morning to get my coffee. It's a part of my routine. Don't ever try and talk me out of it. You're not going to talk me out of it. I know people make coffee at home.
Starting point is 00:55:04 I get it. You can save money. I get it all these things. I like paying for coffee. I like going to get coffee. It's a part of my routine. Now, out here in the Hamptons, I drive my car every morning instead of walk. I drive my car to go get my cup of coffee.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Sure. I picked up my mobile order. Starbucks, of course. I get into my car. And what do I have in the cup holder, Josh? coffee. My empty coffee cup from yesterday. With the remnants of the ice, it's like this full of water.
Starting point is 00:55:36 And I just had a moment of reflection. I was like, Ben, you are fucking disgusting. Like, this is disgusting behavior. What are you nuts? Like I was so, I was like, Ben, get your act together. There was an empty water bottle next to it too. You know, maybe I'm being hard of myself, But I looked at myself and I was like, Ben, this is no good.
Starting point is 00:55:58 This is disgusting. But you left an old cup in the car? It's not that I left an old cup in the car, Josh. It's that before you get a new coffee, you have to throw away the old coffee cup. Maybe you don't feel it, but it was a what are your nuts to make. I'm giving you some grace. I'm being easy on, Ben. I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:56:20 My Woody, you know, this moment of the week is as I talked about, you know, we went to the beautiful Legoland. and what a time really, what an experience. But I, you know, sometimes, especially in a place like that, people will want to, you know, come up to me and, you know, maybe take a photo or whatever. And so somebody comes over and takes a photo of me. And they did the one thing, which is the, I don't know who they were with.
Starting point is 00:56:48 The guy was in its 20s, but they were with an older parent. And the parent just came, walked over and said, who are you? And I was like, ah. And he goes, I have no idea who you are. And I just looked at him and I said, I have no idea who you are. That's great. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:07 And he goes, okay. And I could just, I was like, what are you nuts, Josh? Just leave this guy alone. Like, it's annoying. But I'm like, I can't help myself sometimes. No, no. I'm happy that you said something. There's nothing worse.
Starting point is 00:57:22 Don't make somebody. It's terrible. I just wanted to take a photo in front of the Galactic coaster now at Legoland. That's it. You know what? Josh, that's terrible. You know what?
