You're listening to an Airwave Media podcast.
Hello, Starling Stars, starving for starch and starbursts.
Welcome to Good Job, Brain, your weekly quiz show and offbeat trivia podcast.
I'm your humble host, Karen, and we are your assembly of assorting.
associates. Well, actually, it's just me here today by myself. Uh, and that is because this
week's episode is a mini-sode, mini episode. Uh, so over the past weekend, we had our second
good job brain meetup, and this time it was on our home turf in San Francisco. Just want to say
thank you to all of you guys who came out, uh, to hang out with us and to play trivia with us.
I hope everyone had a great time.
We sure did.
Special thanks to our friends and families who helped out.
And special shout out to Brandon and Ashley, who couldn't make it to the meetup
because on their way to the meetup, their tire exploded.
And they were stranded on the side of the freeway for hours and hours and hours.
So sorry and so bummed that you guys couldn't make it.
But we're all very happy to hear that you guys made it back home safe.
That's the important thing.
So just want to give you guys a special shout out.
So we usually record Good Job Brain on Sundays,
and because of the meetup,
we couldn't make a full episode happen this week.
But don't worry, guys.
I have something else planned for all you clever peeps.
I actually made a puzzle,
a medium-to-difficult puzzle that involves music.
And so what I'm going to do is I will be playing,
clips of very specific songs in order.
Now, this is a puzzle, so I'm not looking for the artist,
or for you to identify the artists.
The solution should be a two-word solution,
and hopefully after some puzzle solving and some Googling
and some fact-checking, you will arrive at the answer.
And when you do, you can email us the answer
at gjb.podcast at gmail.com.
And I will give the first 25 correct answer submissions something cool, some unique good job brain goodies.
So that's all the directions I have for this cryptic challenge.
And without further ado, here is my music puzzle.
Sometimes I give myself the tricks.
Sometimes my mind like tricks on me.
I'll keep shutting up
I face up
And I'm right
My chest's never noise
Yeah, you're up
And I'm right
Yeah, uh, here
Ain't nobody going to control you
Because I'm right, right here.
I'm right here, I'm right here, I'm right here, I'm blank here, I'm blank here, yeah.
I can't see my reflection in the water.
I can't speak the sounds to show no pain.
The echo of my footsteps
I'll remember the sounds of my own name
Come sit next to me
For you still some tea
Just like grandma made when could bite sleep
Things were better to be once but never can
We've all left the den and tight-right
Two to trade left for your time
Take it cost only your mind
All right, I will provide a hint, one hint
And the hint is that I had to triple reference this puzzle
Using Wikipedia, Amazon, and iTunes
So good luck, you guys, and we'll see you guys next week
