Starting point is 00:00:41 and Unirold's 50th anniversary summer specials. Hey, folks, welcome to Good News, York. I'm Matt from Growth Mode content, joined as always by my handsome head-phone friend, Mikey B. Yeah. It's episode 90. I know. I can't be there.
Starting point is 00:01:06 9-0. That's crazy. It is crazy. It's, uh, it feels, I mean, it feels like it's, episode 89. You know, I just can't believe we're at 90. It's true. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Didn't know we'd come this far. Enough of us. We have an incredible guest who is creating an incredible product you might have noticed on our table here. We're going to talk all about that. Mike, tell us what we got here. We are honored to welcome one of the CEOs founders of a very innovative energy drink, at least in my world, something I've known.
Starting point is 00:01:42 never heard of. Absolutely delicious. We're very excited. Mr. Vincent de Grecia. There he is. There he is. You just made the handsome meter go up about a hundred points by being on the show. Thank you for helping us on that. Yeah, thanks for joining us on the show. We tried your, it's wava water and wava beats, which we'll get into. This is caffeinated water. lightly caffeinated. Yeah. And it's sparkling water. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Which I don't know about you, Matt, but in my world, I didn't know those two things could ever go together. So I'm excited to talk about this. Yeah. Yeah, I am as well. Welcome to the show, Vincent. Thank you so much, guys. Really appreciate it having me on the show. Of course.
Starting point is 00:02:30 So if you want, let's dive right in. Tell us a little bit about this product and maybe how you got to this endeavor. Yeah, for sure. So my background is. I'm a musician as well as I had a deep hospitality background. I grew up in a restaurant business. Grandfathers a restaurant tour, fathers a restaurateur. So grew up in restaurants, right?
Starting point is 00:02:55 So 10 years prior to starting Wava Water, I worked for a group called Tau Group Hospitality, which is an international entertainment nightlife hospitality grant. and I was a director of ops for on their hotel side for the last few years of my 10-year tenure. So it was during that time where I came up the idea for water, right? So it was over COVID, and we were just coming out of COVID, and we were reopening up all of our venues, right?
Starting point is 00:03:29 So New York City, we were building outside dining rooms. It was summertime, hot, minimal staff, and we were just drinking, me and my crew were drinking tons of ice coffees. For the reason, ice coffees is because me personally and a lot of my other crew, we don't drink energy drinks, and so does somewhat health conscious stay away. Yeah. Or just beverages that have a list of names of things in them that you don't even know what is, right?
Starting point is 00:03:57 So it was like ice coffees from the old day. So one day I finished my ice coffee. I put it down, went back to it 20 minutes later. the ice melted. I drink it because I was thirsty as we all do. And the light bulb went off on my head. I went over to the bar. I put a little bit of soda water into it. I squeezed some lemon and I'm like a lightly caffeinated spark on water. I'm like, it has to exist because I would crush these things all that. Sure. I see it R&D on the space and I saw a whole new space. I saw no one was really doing a simple, clean, lightly caffeinated sparkling water. There's a couple
Starting point is 00:04:33 independence, but no one was really doing it or doing it well. So after a bunch of, again, R&D research on the space, I went to my wife, who was my fiancé at the time, Alexis Cigretzian, now, but my name was Alexis Penisi. And I was like, check this out. I got this really cool idea. I made her a couple of concoctions. And I'm like, I want to go for it. What do you think about it? She's like, this is a great idea. I'm like, also, do you want to do this with me? She has a marketing background. She worked on the global marketing team from the Pondwachtadyon with LPQ, which is a new international Dutch bakery. And she was just laid off due to COVID and she seemed like at the perfect time. And I was like, listen to a rid of one go for what do you think. Again,
Starting point is 00:05:17 like I said, she was like, yeah, let's do it. But the caveat was that me working my full-time director of operation job where this high and hospitality brand, there's no way of what would be able to give the shot. There's no way I could have actually done it. We could have done it, right, with working 12 hours a day, one of responsibilities. So after much discussion, we decided to put all our eggs in the basket and go for it. Right. So shortly after that, I put in my notice with the company I've been with for 10 years. I was like, listen, I'm not leaving for a competitive company. I'm leaving because I have this dream and I don't want to do my own thing. I said, I gave them five months notice. I'm like, I don't want to leave you, you know, high and dry. I want to help
Starting point is 00:06:00 it open up all the venues. They're like, Vincent, we believe in you. Go for it. Finish out your contract, we had six more weeks on it. And that's what we did. Then we packed up our bags. We moved upstate where we had a family house two and a half hours north of New York City, where we were able to cut our expenses by 75% and focus on building the brand. And that's what we did. We moved up here for three years full time until we launched. and we watched about a year ago. We watched Wobble Water, right? So that's kind of the story of how we got to this.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Yeah. And, you know, for me, building Wobble Water, you know, what it is, it's a creative performance brand that utilizes it's a lightly caffeinated, and sparkling water or functional beverage with music to help increase our creativity and productivity, right? So we got the beverage, which 45 milligrams of natural caffeine from green coffee beans. So drinking the entire can would be like drinking a half a cup of coffee. So it's super light. Some of the lights on the market has a hundred milligrams of altheney, which is an amino
Starting point is 00:07:03 acid that's derived from green tea leaves that helps reduce your without an increase your common. The combination is they put the combination for increased focus and cognition. Oh wow. It's also a very clean beverage, no calories, no sugar, no sugar substitutes. Very clean and good for you, right? Unlike a lot of the other beverages out there. Yeah. And then back in the can, which is really cool, is the music album, which is Wabbeats. You scan down with your phone, and it goes to multiple and claylists of original music that we create ourselves that helps you focus. So we're also a music company that builds focus music.
Starting point is 00:07:41 That's incredible. That is absolutely, as a musician myself, that is my absolute favorite part of this, is that not only did you incorporate music, which makes the product better, but you're also still kind of using your talents as a musician and songwriter and incorporating that into it. And I just think that's such a brilliant idea. What goes into the,
Starting point is 00:08:04 I think this goes well with it, or was there like a whole process that went into the pairing? There's totally a pop process. And it's not like you have to listen to one song with a certain flavor or anything like that. So we create focus music
Starting point is 00:08:17 and what we do to make the focus music as we incorporate vinyl beats into our instrumental music. So vinyl beats, you know, brain discern to simply describe is sound frequencies that activate brain waves to get you into desired mindsets, whether it be calm, whether it be creativity, whether it be focused, increase cognition, things of that nature. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:08:41 I'm getting that kind of sense when you talk about the beats and everything as I just look at the whole design of the can with the waves and honestly, the marketing, the packaging design as products go is phenomenal. We were actually saying that before we went on the air. Who did that? Is that you? Is that your wife? Is it a really awesome marketing team?
Starting point is 00:09:02 How did you get this cool looking can? Yeah, I mean, we do have a great brain agency that we worked with from the beginning, but we also, you know, our friend group is a group of artistic and individuals, graphic design, music, artists. And we had a friend started helping us with design at the beginning and waves where I incorporated right away. And as we're going through different design patterns, always with waves, another like epiphany light went off on my head and I'm like brain waves, right? That's kind of how the whole, you know, going down that rabbit hole came to play for building Wobo Beats, right? So we came up with the waves and then I thought,
Starting point is 00:09:45 brainwaves, the deep dive into brainwaves, vinyl beats came to my forefront and I was like, okay, this is really cool. We can incorporate the sound frequencies and bend them into the music. And there we go. We have focus music to help increase creativity, focus, production, things of that nature. But, you know, what we do is me and I have a team of musicians that we work with and other and full of the musicians that we program with to current music is we create all different styles of music, right? Not just like focal meditative music. It's we did an R&B and Soul album, all instrumental. We did a lo-fi album, Indian house album. You know, we really try to hit all different genres of music. You know, this one which will come out with a classical piano album,
Starting point is 00:10:35 guitar music album, and all the tracks will have different effects. to activate different brainways. So, Vinnie, we tried these. And for me personally, my favorite's the orange vanilla. It's kind of like a, tastes like a creamsicle to me. I love it. But I wanted to ask you, because this is such a unique beverage, did the coffee or the caffeinated part of it kind of have to dictate what flavors you chose?
Starting point is 00:11:02 Or were you like, these are the flavors I like. This is what I want to create. Yeah. So it didn't dictate it at all. So what did dictate it was we wanted to do classic flavorings that will always stay in the test of time that people understand that people love, right? So, lemon ice. When you drink the lemon ice, it literally just had any time lemon ice without the sugar. Sure.
Starting point is 00:11:28 It's round, it's clean, it's punchy, it's delicious. The orange vanilla, again, classic, just like you said, an orange cream. We wanted to, you know, stay high-level classic flavors, things that people would understand and people would love. And then we have our natural flavor, which is just the sparkling water added benefits with some sea salt to give it a little bit of flavor and not just leave it flat. You know what I mean? So again, just classic, clean flavor. That's really cool. What goes into, you know, kind of picking some different flavors?
Starting point is 00:12:05 Because I'm guessing as much as these classic ones that we're talking about, I'm guessing there was like a room. of other possibles, right? Is that the case or am I dreaming that? Yeah, we discussed it internally. We do research on what sells very well, high-level, what does it. We go through tons of formulations to get the right for the profile. We test those formulations.
Starting point is 00:12:31 And then we think this is... That's so neat. I just think, like I said, I think it's so neat how you put it together. When I look at the can and I look at zero sugar, zero calories, but it's got a flavor. Like, I don't know how you do. This is like magic to me. It's like there's nothing in this can, but somehow it tastes good and it gives me energy.
Starting point is 00:12:55 I just think that concept is incredible, especially for folks that are, you know, very just calorie and carb conscious. Speaking of that, was that the goal from the beginning was you wanted something, zero sugar, zero calories? and, you know, from someone who's a musician and does work or had worked in the restaurant industry, I mean, this is a bit of science, so who do you go to? It's a gentle cruising. You start to see the village, almost like a painting. Join me, travel expert Darley Newman,

For that to say, hey, listen, how do we make this zero calorie, zero sugar? Did you kind of know what you were doing? We kind of have an understanding, but we did work with the great formulation has to make it happen and get delicious. But, you know, when you're taking flavor and extracts, there's different kinds of
Starting point is 00:15:05 flavor extracts. Most extracts come from the use of alcohol to extract flavor from the orange or lemon, et cetera. We use a certain company that extracts the flavor using CO2
Starting point is 00:15:19 so it's a cleaner flavoring than they're using alcohol to extract flavoring. And the zero calorie, zero sugar, it's pretty simple. You know,
Starting point is 00:15:31 just keep a low level. you don't add anything because the extractive extractive flavor doesn't have any calories. You know, caffeine doesn't have any calories. A few doesn't have any calories. You don't use a sweeteners
Starting point is 00:15:47 or sugar so there's no calories there. We keep it, again, the thought process was I was thinking I was building something that, for me, that I wanted, because I'm hopeful as so many people out there are health forward that don't want, but don't drink sodas, don't drink energy drinks, and there's nothing out there for them.
Starting point is 00:16:11 That is something like this. That is clean. That's a midday picking up. It's not too much energy. It's just enough to give it out of boost. You can drink these all day and never feel crazy. The LPN that bounces out any jitters from any excess of caffeine. So you can't have three or four of these a day.
Starting point is 00:16:29 I drink all over. I got to say. I can completely understand that because I'm in that boat, right? I traditionally drink water or coffee and black coffee. I don't put anything in it. So I drank probably five lifetimes worth of soda in my younger years and gave that up. And it was life-changing. And I think so many people are doing that.
Starting point is 00:16:53 But again, like I said, it seems like my options are, you know, energy drinks that are full of all kinds of nonsense that I don't want any part of. or just plain old water. So this is great. Fill in the market. Tell us a little bit when we talk about the market. Where can folks get this? Because we understand it's available in a number of spots all over New York State at least, right? We are.
Starting point is 00:17:19 We're kind of finedarily as far as retail goes in New York City. We're near to the market. We're a year old, but we're even younger than that as far as our distribution goes. So we're really just getting out there of a really proven concept. It's going very well, by the way. We know that we have a product that there's a need for it. So right now, you can get in retail in about 70 stores, 70 plus stores. And so you were in a couple of places in the Catskills, and we're hearing there.
Starting point is 00:17:49 We're one spot in Syracuse. I apologize. I can't think of a spot in right now. But on our website, there is a find-us head at the time. and I'll show you everything and we'll get us and you also order us online through our website
Starting point is 00:18:06 free shipping we get in two days especially if you're local over the state you know the day you send it out you get it to the next step yeah that's incredible you guys sent us a case of it
Starting point is 00:18:17 and I feel like it appeared within a day of a conversation so I can attest to that right there also I want to compliment you you not only did you send us a case but you guys had like the sexiest branding like we got this beautiful wava water sleeve and there's this
Starting point is 00:18:31 gold straw in it which I just wanted to thank you it's such a nice time like I feel more important just using it so just are you behind all the marketing and branding is that you and your wife together it's me and my wife together we discuss
Starting point is 00:18:47 everything in the large marketing and brand you know we're positioned as as a luxury brand you know we like to elevate it so a gold wall of straw was such a nice touch, you know. We didn't know people like,
Starting point is 00:19:02 we started like handing them those things out in the room. Like, oh my God, bottle of gold struts. It's amazing. Like, you would have bought.
Starting point is 00:19:08 So, you know, every time someone orders that a new consumer orders one day get a little stroke. Yeah, it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:19:16 The little things matter in that industry. It really does. In every business. So many folks, I feel like, have gotten away from that. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:19:23 I think, and honestly, I'll tell you what, man, as we're talking here, so many of these things just really impress me about,
Starting point is 00:19:29 your business approach, you know, even with the, with the flavors. And like you said, going with something simple and something that people understand. And there's so many of these folks that, you know, obviously you've created a new type of product, but there's so many of these folks that want to recreate everything. And they'll come up with some weird combination and then call it something that you never heard of. And it's like, what the hell am I getting? This, you walk up on the store shelves and like, wow, that looks cool. And it's a lemon drink or it's an orange drink.
Starting point is 00:19:56 I immediately know what's happening. and I just want to tip my hat to you. It's really a great job and a lot of thought put into things that other people, you know, they think they're being cool by being sort of difficult. I think you've really got the right approach. Thank you. I appreciate that. So the last thing, and we'll let you go, is really just, you know, you mentioned your website, things like that.
Starting point is 00:20:20 What are the socials? What are some places some folks might be able to check out more about this cool product? Yeah. I mean, our website is key. www.wobblewater.com. And then our Instagram, again, just wobble water straight. We are, you know, Lexi, my wife, she runs all of our socials. She runs all of branding.
Starting point is 00:20:43 We keep everything super high level. We keep everyone very informed on what we're doing, events, activations, and just what's to come. Well, I want to give you before we go. I actually have one more thing. Sure. From one artist to another, I feel. I need to do this. Let's talk about your music real quick.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Where can we find your music and buy it wherever music is sold these days or streamed? Yeah. We're basically on almost every music platform from Spotify, iTunes, title, Pandora. Just type in Walla Water and it's going to come up. Oh, wow. You can have access to all the world albums. And again, we come out with music every, let's call it, six weeks or so. sometimes we drop a single track,
Starting point is 00:21:29 sometimes we drop a full album. But every track, we talk about what this track is going to do for your mindset. Again, whether you're looking to be more creative. It's pretty much, one focus, line combination. I was talking to other musicians recently,
Starting point is 00:21:45 and I was saying, you're ahead of, first of all, you're ahead of your time with the Wobble Water itself, but you're also ahead of your time with the music because I personally believe that's where we're headed, where people are now consuming music by mood. So I think you really,
Starting point is 00:22:00 you really hit, hit the mark with that. So I just wanted to let you know. I appreciate how you incorporate the music into this. Yeah. Yeah, thank you. I really do appreciate that. It's a thing.
Starting point is 00:22:11 It's a movement and it's becoming more mainstream. Me and Lexia are going out to LA, UCLA, to a functional music conference at UCLA. Two Mondays from now, where all the top researchers, musicians, scientists, for functional music. And functional music is music that my final repeats can help pitch into certain mindsets. So it's happening. Wow.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Awesome. This is it. You've nailed it, man. Listen, we really appreciate your time. This is great. And, of course, for sending us some samples so we could really know what it is we're talking about here. It's great. It's been awesome to have you.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Thank you so much. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Wava Water. Grab it and grab the music that goes with it because that's badass. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:59 All right, Vinny, thank you so much. We will be right back on Good News York, sponsored by Ads on the Go. Get Ads on the Go.com. And we're back! Hey, welcome to Good News, York. Brought to you by Ads on the Go, get ads on the go. Get Ads on the Go.com. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:23:32 We're back We are back It's Tuesday Newsday Oh shit And you have a pile of things For us to talk about I mean it's news But it's not like the traditional news
Starting point is 00:23:44 We just it's just fun stuff Yeah like the same shit we've covered For 90 episodes Pretty much 90 by the way 90, 9.0 Nine zero. Almost a 10. Hey, quick shout out to other local podcast.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Captivate CNY. Hit their 100th episode. Wow. They're 10 ahead of us. Yeah. Well, they're also a year head start. They go for quality, not quantity. Unlike us.
Starting point is 00:24:13 We just, we just pump out shit. We're just... Year round. Yep. The diarrhea of podcast. Diarrhea of podcast. Actually, let's start. I want to start.
Starting point is 00:24:22 I've been waiting for this. You mentioned something about Little John yesterday. Yeah. And we didn't get it. Okay. We didn't get to it. What? What's the third one?
Starting point is 00:24:32 Yeah. What? Danny, what's the third one? Yeah, okay. And what? I don't remember the third one. He's got three of them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Okay. I think I just made Danny piss his pants. I've never seen him leave. That's the way. made a week. I've said I've said so many worse things. He's like, that's it. I'm gone. That's fine. He's crying.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Yeah. Okay. Oh, is it? Watch out. No. What? What? It is the third one? Yeah. What?
Starting point is 00:25:19 Somebody has not watched enough Chappelle's show. Well, I guess we call it. Anyway, the story, the actual fucking story. You mentioned it yesterday. I've been very intrigued, so what is it? Yeah. So, I don't know what. This is Lil John's story.
Starting point is 00:25:34 If you jump, this is our intern's first day. This is fucking great. Walk into this. So if you go to our Facebook page, and we'll, of course, cut it in here. But if you go to our Facebook page for Good News, York, you will see, I re-shared the video that Liljohn himself shared just recently. Okay. But it was from his time at the State Fair a couple weeks back where he came to town. There's a fan, little John fan, a young woman who lost her leg in a car wreck or something.
Starting point is 00:26:08 And so she's got a prosthetic. And we can just fire the clip. Danny's got it right there. I was hit by a truck when I was 14. I was on a four-wheeler and a drunk driver hit me. And I lost my leg, broke my back. I was in a coma for four and a half months. And I listened to Little John and get low all the time.
Starting point is 00:26:30 And when I was in my coma, my mom sang it every day until I woke up. And it was my first concert and the first time at the fair. And I got this awesome singing chip. Sick. That's awesome. Clearly a birds fan. And she got to meet me. What?
Starting point is 00:26:51 Thank you. I didn't expect that. See, I just said, what? Yeah, see, that was a real one. I had a good time and I had this concert, first concert every. So I, you know, and that was the reaction for not only me and a lot of folks in the comments, all the same thing. Like, oh, here's this really kind of inspirational video of this woman. And nobody expected him to come out like that in the video.
Starting point is 00:27:10 We thought he was sharing her video, you know? I have to admit, I always got him mixed up with little Wayne and there was like little, little dragon, a little, little marshmallow. It's a gentle cruising. You start to see the village, almost like a painting. Join me. Travel expert Darley Newman and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises L'Ik Bali to learn about river cruising in France. Starting point is 00:28:53 They never seem to get. any bigger either. I never understood that part. They never do. They never do. That is such a great story. Lil Wayne jokes aside. I mean, little John. You did it to me. See? Little John will just always
Starting point is 00:29:09 be special because, you know, that video was cool. When he was at the fair, he also posted some videos, giving love to Syracuse. And, you know, I don't follow every one of the artists that came to the fair, these big national acts, but I don't know that many of them really gave the love and respect to our town as he did. And I think that's just a lot to be said about an artist, especially somebody of his caliber,
Starting point is 00:29:33 name recognition, to actually kind of show respect to the area is awesome. Yeah, it is awesome. And you know, do you know why? It's because you see those promo videos or videos of artists giving an area a shout out, and you can tell it's very contrived. You could tell he genuine, like he had- Hello, Seattle! Good night, Dark Continent.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Where am I? But you know what I mean? Like, they, he genuinely was given, yeah, genuine love to the area. I've got to tell you, do you remember the Super Bowl a few years ago? I know you don't watch sports, but a few years ago,
Starting point is 00:30:07 and they had like the 90s hip-hop halftime show? Well, they did. Okay. And it was like Snoop Dog, and it was, I think, a little, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yeah, I remember that. So, I got to tell you something. Whenever a song from the 90s comes out,
Starting point is 00:30:23 John, right? People that grew up in the 90s obviously love it, and they start moving and shaking. If you want to see middle-aged white women go crazy, throw on Lil John. Get low. Get low. Oh, wait, that's Usher. Whatever. That one, too.
Starting point is 00:30:44 That one will really get their asses shaking. But you throw on that little John, get low. They lose their minds. Yeah. We're at a Super Bowl part. Our kids were there and I just remember that came on and all the women in the room were like Grabbing onto the arms of the couch and all the kids were looking around like mom What are you doing? What's going on?
Starting point is 00:31:08 There it is You throw that on anyone? Dude's got it down man. I'll tell you what? It's great. I love it. It's awesome. You know what? Staying on music. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:25 All right. So I'm not a big conspiracy theory guy. Uh-oh. Oh, we're going into this one. I can't just say all conspiracy theories are fake. That would be ridiculous because, you know, that's it. Come on. But...
Starting point is 00:31:38 At some point, it's a numbers game. At some point it's a number of things. But this one... I don't believe it. I just appreciate the thought that went into it and I think it's hilarious. Okay. I did some digging on my own. Danny, if you could pull up the video...
Starting point is 00:31:52 We walked in and Mike was straight. down the rabbit hole. This came up on my feed and I had to just listen to this. Or dates. And every tour date lines up with a missing person or an unsolved homicide. Every place he's ever been. We came up with about 120 missing persons and around roughly 90 unsolved homicides. And I am telling you, the man is a monster.
Starting point is 00:32:21 All right. So, pause. To college, a woman that went to that. The man is a monster part. To summarize real quick, the theory here is that Garth Brooks, country music legend, Garth Brooks, the Thunder Roll, Garth Brooks. Thunder rolls. Is a serial killer.
Starting point is 00:32:42 And the evidence is they can look at crime data from the various major cities that this man toured in and they found that a crime occurred in those cities on the same day. Yeah, but it goes far. So it's clearly Garth Brooks. Clearly. I mean, no trial needed. Right. But here's the thing. He's a monster, as this fellow
Starting point is 00:33:06 says. But it's not just tour dates. He goes further that it goes back to when he was like in college and where he lived. Crime occurred when Garth was young too? Yeah. So I guess this woman that went missing or was killed lived only like five or ten miles away from where he lived during college.
Starting point is 00:33:23 It's crazy to me because I can't believe someone had the time to... Like, first of all, how do you even put that together? How do you go, oh, look, here's Garth Brooks' tour dates. Let me see if anyone died around... You know what I think? I theorize. It had to start with Tom Segura. He had some sort of bit that started this.
Starting point is 00:33:44 I don't know the backstory on that. I theorize, and I don't care enough to test this theory. But I theorized that you can find any major artist and make a viable case for the same thing. Again, just clearly based on stats. Numbers game, like you said. Andrew Dice Clay performed at Madison Square Garden, and five people were murdered that week in New York City. I think the Dice Man did it.
Starting point is 00:34:08 I heard that Mick Jagger was actually a pickpocket. Mick Jagger was a pick pocket. Yeah, a lot of people went to his concerts and left without their wallets. Yeah. Here's the thing, though. I went a little further. Oh, dear. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Danny, pull up from right to left. I've got some lyrics that I highlighted. I went through Garth Brooks catalog. Oh, you went through the lyrics? We're going this deep? Dude, we're going deep. Buddy, hit a little Control Plus and Zoom. Check out the title of this song.
Starting point is 00:34:39 What she's doing now. I'll tell you what she's doing now. What she's doing now. I don't know if that's how the song even goes. She's, she's warm-foo. That's what she's doing now. Oh, he clicked off my house. highlight. Last time I saw her, it was
Starting point is 00:34:50 turning colder, but that was years ago. Last, I heard she had moved to Boulder, but where she's now, I don't know. I mean, buried. You know, or it's just an ex who we stopped talking to. Come on, don't ruin it. Okay, this
Starting point is 00:35:08 one. So I'll just... What's the name of this song? It's called which one of them? This is like the most obscure Garth Brooks songs you could have found. Well, think about it. If you're Garth Brooks, I'm not going to to put my murder details in my hit songs. I'm going to put him in the B-sides. He's got a lot to learn
Starting point is 00:35:24 for practice. So I'll just smile and pretend and she'll never know who she's up against when she's holding me close. A monster is who she's up against. Dude, it's there. And then there's like two more. There's two more. Dude, it's there. It's all, it's incriminating. This guy
Starting point is 00:35:40 is a monster. He's right. Walking after midnight. Is this the Patsy Klein song? No, no, no. Oh, maybe. I go, it is. This is a Patsy Kleins on. Oh shit. So Patsy Klein's a murderer? I mean, she could be. I'm always walking after midnight searching for you. All right, scratch that one.
Starting point is 00:35:56 That's like a... But why did he cover it? All-time classic, probably. Yeah. And then last but not least, uh, this one I think is the nail. Oh, I can't wait for this one. No pun intended. When there's no one around is the name of the song. Uh-huh. This is
Starting point is 00:36:12 the man that nobody sees. He wears my old clothes and he looks just like me. Just one of the boys who gets lost in the crowd. He's the man that I am when there's no one around. Dude, there it is. He's a fucking psycho. There's a killer inside him and it's Chris Gaines.
Starting point is 00:36:29 That's what I'm talking about. I genuinely don't understand. What is that? I don't know. Did you start a document, Danny? Carth Brooks, I did it. What is that? He found...
Starting point is 00:36:39 Brookes, I did it. He found the... Oh, wait a minute. What does it say? It's a new track, actually. I'm always killing people and making them disappear in. I didn't have a time. No, I like that you left the G out.
Starting point is 00:36:51 It's irrefutable proof. Yeah, that's funny. That's wild. So I don't know. So be on the lookout for Garth Brooks, apparently. Garth Brooks is playing in your area. Is he still tour? Fucking strap up.
Starting point is 00:37:02 What? Is he still, okay. I thought he was one of those guys that, like, sort of took his money and retired. Wow, he took his money and. I mean, clearly he's got a garage full of skulls or something, sounds like. I want to talk about this real quick. Okay. Pizza bagel up.
Starting point is 00:37:17 So Barstool released this video. I'm not going to play the video. I just want you to see the picture. Pizza bagel. Dude, this is so great. And pizzas on a bagel. You know, we talk about organic content. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:27 This is an example of something so simple but so engaging. All right. And I'm curious to see where you. I'm curious to understand what were you talking about. Danny really surprised me with what he picked. So the premise is which bagel bite are you picking. I don't know if you can. Oh, I see.
Starting point is 00:37:40 So the idea is you go to somebody's house. They put this plate down in front of you. Which is the first off the pile you would grab? Is that what we're saying? Okay. So without overthinking it too much, all right, I'm immediately drawn to 10 because I'm a guy that likes a little crisp. Oh, oh. And I like that the cheese is hanging off the side.
Starting point is 00:38:01 That means it's extra cheese. You've put way more thought into this. Now, if you're a sauce person, number nine is phenomenal, but here's my way of thinking. There's nothing more painful than a pizza bagel burn on your upper roof of your mouth. Number nine, if it's hot off the oven, that's screaming. There are 4,000 degrees inside that thing. That screams third degree burns. I'm staying away from nine.
Starting point is 00:38:22 All right. So I like 10, but then my last one I'm thinking about up there, way up at the top, take a look at six. Okay. Six seems to me it's the perfect cheese to sauce ratio, and there's a little extra on the side, so you're really getting the most for your grab. I got to ask you a question. Yeah. Does this entire thought process typically go through your head before you choose a food?
Starting point is 00:38:46 100% But at a more rapid rate Must be exhausting to be you No it doesn't I'm a fat kid I grab the one on the top of the pile But there's a pile Like oh there's different ones
Starting point is 00:39:00 So you don't look You just grab Fuck no it's a pizza bagel Okay 17 to me Doesn't matter what it looks like They all taste 100% the same Yeah but you can get
Starting point is 00:39:10 Pizza in the morning Pizza in the evening Pizza at summertime With pizza on your bagel you can really get pizza anytime. That's what I've heard. Yeah. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:21 So you're going to pick all of, you're going to pick none of them. I'm literally going to the top of the pile, the closest to my reach. Maybe it's the edge piece, but again, the most convenient to grab. I'm not giving any sort of
Starting point is 00:39:32 consideration to the look, unless there's one that's horrific, right? Like sometimes you get those that you've put in too long and all the cheese is just soup and it's completely falling off the thing. Like, I ain't choosing that one. But anyone on this plate is,
Starting point is 00:39:46 is satisfactory. Danny, which one did you choose again? Yeah, this blew my mind because that's probably the last one I would grab because there's the least amount of cheese and sauce but he brings up a great point. See, to me, it's front and center. That's, I would be right in that, that one or the 21 as well. Yeah, but your theory is geography, whatever's closest
Starting point is 00:40:04 to your hand. But what Danny's saying is, it's giving you let that natural pizza crust on the edges because it's fair. Yeah, I thought that was a brilliant observation that I wouldn't have thought of. That's fair. Number three is like the red-headed... Here's the thing, and maybe we should do this for another day because I believe this bit would be completely different. If instead of a plate of completely identical things, we looked at like a dozen donuts. And, you know, where there's a genuine difference.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Now there, I'm like you, I'm going through that thought process going, hmm, do I want this one? Do I want the one of that? The powdered donuts tasty, but it's going to be the messy thing, you know. Like, there is real consideration. When it comes to a plate of these or like, you know, a plate of dino nuggets or some of this shit, like just consume it. There's, if you're taking the time to think about your pizza bagel, you are not a proper fat kid. I appreciate that thought. But for me, I think when you're looking at donuts, and that's a great bit and we should do it, as you said, there's a clear difference.
Starting point is 00:41:08 So then it just becomes what's your favorite kind of donut. So I'm saying with this, there's zero difference on any of those. Right. But I think that makes it better because it's more, if everything is the same. If it's the same exact product, what is separating it for you? Why are you going for this? It's a gentle cruising. You start to see the village, almost like a painting.

Starting point is 00:41:54 from an exploded head due to an extreme energy drink? Aye, this is Larry Deathstein, attorney at law. Every day, thousands of Americans pound extreme energy drinks and literally explode their heads right off. At Deathstein and partners, we fight for you. So take action to death. It's stopped by the Death Steen and Partners Office, where we only serve liquid death's new sparkling energy.
Starting point is 00:42:19 A better-for-you-energy drink. There's nothing extreme about it. With only 100 milligrams of caffeine, that's equal to a cup of coffee. Plus, liquid death energy has got zero sugar, and none of that freaky stuff, like sucralose or aspartane. When it comes to extreme energy justice, Death Steen and Partners will fight to the death.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Also, if you're not near our office, you can still try liquid death. Liquid Death Sparklin Energy at fine retailers like 7-Eleven. Or learn more at liquiddeaf.com. Where? LiquidDeath.com. I think it makes it more intriguing than, well, I just don't like jelly donut, so I'm going to grab this chocolate one.
Starting point is 00:42:57 But whatever. Fair enough. Fair enough. All right. I enjoyed that. That was fun. That was fun. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:43:03 Hold on. Hold on. Back up. If you could jump back to that video, buddy. I'm just interested to know what some of their picks were. He clicked off. Control shift T. He is lost.
Starting point is 00:43:16 He's freaking out guys. There it is. Oh, there it is. Dan. Nice. What do you want to? I'm just curious to see what they pick in the video. Oh. I don't even remember.
Starting point is 00:43:25 I don't even know if I watched it. On the internet right now. I took this photo of these bagel bites at 2 a.m. And I need to know who you're drafted first. Also, just as a side note, this is, again, when we talk about content creation, like. Number 23. Yep. So that guy's choice was to go with the shittiest choice first.
Starting point is 00:43:46 All right, bro, is less interesting than I thought it was going to be. Okay. He's way too laid back over this. This is a serious issue. I mean, he got Barstool to share it, so he did something right. Real quick, though, before we go, this is exciting. Okay. We always...
Starting point is 00:43:59 What's exciting? The more and more, especially since American High has been here, we're having more celebrity sightings in Syracuse. Dan Aykroyd was at Dinosaur Barbecue. Yeah. I love that. He frequents the place quite often. Yeah, but you told me something this morning that I think is amazing.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Yeah, so I tell everyone this at every opportunity I have. And it is a true story, nobles. And still my mind is blown every time I speak this to a local person and they have no idea. So the first part is Dan Aykroyd is one of the co-founders. He makes crystal head vodka. Yes. Now, even if you're not a big drinker, if you've ever even just been to a liquor store, you might have noticed a bottle on the shelf that is literally a skull.
Starting point is 00:44:41 It's the shape of a clear. It's the coolest bottle, I think, in the whole liquor store. I love it. But that's Dan Aykroyd's product. That's, again, he's the co-founder of this vodka company. The interesting part that local folks don't know is crystal head vodka is filtered through Herkimer diamonds. And I grew up in Herkimer. So that is beyond exciting.
Starting point is 00:45:02 Yeah, it's an incredible thing. For folks that don't know, Herkimer diamonds are a particular type of quartz crystal found. in the Herkimer County area and like one other tiny spot in out west somewhere. Yeah, I am... They're very rare, though. I'm ashamed to admit that growing up,
Starting point is 00:45:19 I did not give a shit about Herkimer diamonds. I found out that people outside of Herkimer in the diamond world, it's a very big deal. We used to go there for field trips every year. It was fun, whatever. Come to find out... Do you remember there was a movie in the 90s called Congo? Those diamonds in the movie were from Herkimer.
Starting point is 00:45:35 Oh, really? Yeah, so up until Dan Aykroyd, that was the... big like holy wow but yeah Dan Akron. Well I know years before before the internet and before it was very easy for you to buy anything from anywhere. I know people that were very big in going to these gem shows, you know
Starting point is 00:45:50 just like trade shows you have for everything. They would have out west these big shows with unique gems and diamonds and things of that nature. These folks would take herkimer diamonds and they would sell for huge money out west. Because like I said, you couldn't just get them and they're so rare because they're only found
Starting point is 00:46:06 here. But yeah, And again, you don't have to take my word for it. Go to the Crystal Head Vodka website and you will see they very clearly disclose this. So it's not some like urban legend. There's going to be people on here going, bullshit. Yeah, I mean, genuinely, like, look it up. It's a very straightforward thing.
Starting point is 00:46:21 And also, you probably didn't know. And we locals need to take more pride in that because it's cool as hell. Pizza bagels are actually marinated in the Mohawk River. You laugh. That is something that not enough people know, nor do they appreciate. The last thing I want to talk about,
Starting point is 00:46:36 is Macaulay Cawkin is coming to Rochester and Buffalo. They're doing a 35th anniversary Home Alone tour. And in my household, I post every year. Christmas time, Home Alone 1 and 2 are my top favorite Christmas movies, which we can get into that discussion
Starting point is 00:46:55 as we get closer to the holidays. What's wrong with three? Oh, please. Name me one movie that's a third. That's good. And if you say Teenage Mutant Ninja TRIZs on, throat chum. Why don't you like the New York City one, buddy? No, that's number two.
Starting point is 00:47:10 I love that one. The New York City one's great with Pigeon Lady. Oh, okay. No, no, no, I love Home Alone, too. Home Alone, three was not even McCauley. Wait, hold on, which... Oh, oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think they did even more.
Starting point is 00:47:19 I think they did like four. Maybe even five. Oh, they don't count without him. Unless it's Fast and the Furious, once you get past two, fuck it. I'm not watching it. Listen. It's a whole different. Fast and the Furious 78 is going to be awesome.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Think about, like, back to the future. Love those movies. One and two, great. Three? Hot take those also. Teenage Mutja Turtles. One and two. Great. Third. Garbage. They're in Japan. It doesn't even make sense. By the third, it gets so diluted.
Starting point is 00:47:40 It's like the movie, or that game telephone where you whisper in someone's ear, and then by the time it gets to the end, it's totally different. But anyway. I caught the end of Robocop 3 the other night. You might be on to something. I don't remember three. There's a reason for it. Well, anyway.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Anyway. So McCauley Cawkin is coming to Rochester Buffalo. The one in Rochester is at the West Hurth, Have you ever met him? No. If I met him, I wouldn't be flipping out right now. I was told I looked like him when I was a kid. I was just going to tell you.
Starting point is 00:48:09 When I was a kid. Literally, you could be a stunt double. Yeah. Well, I don't know about now. Because now people tell me I look like, I'm not going to say whatever. No, you definitely look like him still. But, you know. And he got old too.
Starting point is 00:48:21 He did get old. Yeah. Remember the Good Son? The Good Son was probably the most underrated McCauley Calkin movie ever made. Yeah, because his... It was a phenomenal movie. Well, he was known as the kid. from home alone, the young, innocent child, and he was a psychotic murderer like Garth Brooks.
Starting point is 00:48:39 Absolute psychopath. And he, even as a child actor, man, he was good. There's awards for that. He's coming to Rochester. Tickets go on sale September 12th. And the show, they're going to be showing Home Alone, the 35th anniversary. He will be there on December 6th at the Westhur Theater in Rochester. But he is coming to Buffalo as well.
Starting point is 00:48:59 And I don't know about where else in New York. but I got to meet him. I've got it. I've got it. Dude, he's such a huge part of my childhood. You know what bothers me about home alone? There's one thing. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:49:10 If they had just called the cops, it's one of those movies where the most simple, basic, normal human thing would destroy everything. Our intern is poking holes. He's doing his job already. He's pointing to Danny and saying,
Starting point is 00:49:25 the phone lines were down. Oh. Yeah, but he could have went to the neighbor's house. Oh, the whole street. Oh, because the alarm clock... Fair enough. Christopher Columbus was a racist. Oh, the director.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Wait a minute. You know what? That's shameful. Yeah. Look what you did, you little jerk. Yeah? Bro. What?
Starting point is 00:50:08 What? What? No. Hold on a second. First of all. I've seen that movie 100 times. I just bragged that my household watches one and two. every year and I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:50:19 What? Just say it again because I'm not on. I was going to say, were you on Mike? So Danny just breaking news. We're like little John. What? What? Apparently the phone lines were down,
Starting point is 00:50:32 which that's pretty obvious. I should have known. I didn't know the phone lines throughout the neighborhood were down though. So he couldn't have called the cost. But then Danny drops a bombshell that when he spills the milk when they're eating the pizza the night before
Starting point is 00:50:43 and they're like, what did you, you little jerk? They get rid of his ticket. I do also think, though, he was really lucky that he found the only criminals who didn't own a gun. The wet bandits. So, hold on. In this right now.
Starting point is 00:50:59 This isn't Danny. It's somebody's bad screen recording. It's fine. Oh, you're fine. Oh, Buzz. Buzz, your girlfriend, woof. Buzz was the unsung hero in this movie. Oh.
Starting point is 00:51:12 There it goes. Oh. Wow, wow, wow. Danny, would you consider that an Easter egg or is that like something we should have caught? Yeah. See, that's one of those things. I sort of appreciate, you watch some of these things where they like go out of their way to speak the obvious. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:39 It drives you insane. But that's called being it's too on the nose. I think I, yeah, absolutely. I can't believe you spilled the soda and now my ticket is wet. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's on the nose. Right.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Dude. Danny's. Kevin. Danny's officially the Home Alone analyst He's our special How many kids you got now? Two
Starting point is 00:52:04 I got four Damn How like Real talk Oh Okay How hard would it actually be To do something
Starting point is 00:52:14 And for a few hours Not realized that one of your kids Is with you That's a fucking Dozy of a question It's like if we're being honest I would say It's not as far-fetched
Starting point is 00:52:27 As they made it out to be Asked Ask the question again. How long would it take before I... Yeah, before you sort of really... You know, you got the bundle. You're traveling. You get the bundle.
Starting point is 00:52:35 You just sort of assume that everybody's with you. But... Flying or driving? We'll just say going to do something for a couple hours. You're at the mall. As you and Danny both know, I worry about everything. Yeah. So...
Starting point is 00:52:47 You actually have those kid leashes? No, no, I don't do the kid leashes. I do shock collars. But what I... I'm constantly double-checking. Yeah. I will say personally not very long because I over worry and I love my children.
Starting point is 00:53:01 But I could see how it could happen. Not to the extent of... Yeah, I mean, that's obviously... ...over the top, but... And after Home Alone, too, it's like, bitch... Like, you're not getting past the airport. No. Danny's...
Starting point is 00:53:13 Here's the thing. So that's just going to the mall. Now, factor in, you're with your entire family and you're flying over to Paris, and you just overslept, and you're rushing to get to the airport so you can catch your flight on time. how like yeah and there's like 20 people in the crowd no social media
Starting point is 00:53:31 checking and do it like the neighbor's kid came over so they did the accidental head count like and you yeah oh somebody else took care of it like all the kids are here and let's not forget the got to factor in kevin gets confused in the airport because some dudes were in the same trench coat as his dad that's really what happens by the way i love that they run right up to the gate and they're like get on like that shit's way outdated dude all those classic movies where where you can chase somebody to the gate and watch the plane go. It's like, oh, man, that doesn't.
Starting point is 00:54:02 That used to be a thing. I don't think people realize that. There was once a point where airport security, well, there was no airport security. You literally could walk up to the gate. Which is wild. The only difference was you can't get on the plane unless you had a ticket.
Starting point is 00:54:13 It was the only thing. I was too young to either remember or to see it, but you could fucking smoke on airplanes. That's insane. Some of them still have ashtrays. No, they don't. They do. Really?
