So, good morning everyone. I slept in a little bit. Actually, I slept in a lot this morning.
It's 7 a.m. But I had gotten up in the middle of the night.
So, I had some stuff to do for a few minutes.
So, this morning we have a few orders. I'm printing them out now.
I have one, two, three, like four orders. Nothing. No messages that are alarming or require any sort of a damage control.
Because I don't know what kind of message I'm going to get up in the morning.
So my schedule always is I call it my groundhog day every day.
I get up.
I get out of my bed.
As soon as I'm out of my bed, I turn my shop on and I'm open.
I'm open for the day until until I'm done
pretty much and then we do the messages like we said but I don't see anything
really I check my offers offers are another thing best offers are it's
really really hard best offers I decline just about every best offer especially
nowadays so again as I always say free shipping isn't free for me so i i have a minimum
so even if i put one screw in a bag and i have to put it in a box i always use a small box i don't
really use padded envelopes hardly ever once in a while if i have an extra one it's a set of screws
i'll put it in a padded envelope but uh so if that one screw went in a padded envelope uh it's gonna cost me
seven dollars my cost out the door there's no way i can get in cheaper no such thing as stamp mail
you can't put it in a stamp mail package it has to be in the uh ground advantage it's got to have
tracking it's the only way you can track it and all that so like this morning i got this often happens so my my listings right now i have um a 20 off coupon and also another
10 and then i throw five percent and somewhere down the road so it's 35 off so my really low end parts listings are almost uh eight dollars now
therefore i make a buck so sometimes i'll get an offer like today i got an offer for
the original price that my listing is 11.70 the offer is six dollars it's not possible because that means i would have to pay that buyer one dollar to ship it to him so that ain't gonna happen so i just that's an
automatic decline so these these offers are maybe people just don't realize when they do offers that
free shipping isn't free for me and it's because it's included and then i had a a um a motherboard that's about
motherboard they sell for about 30 about 30 bucks so it was a half off he was best offering me 15 i
declined it i'm definitely not i never do anything that's half off plus again that 30 at 20 once you
take the coupon off you're down to like $23 so there's really no need
for me to take any offers. I have
them but I don't need to take
them unless it's just a few. If you
want a few more bucks off
sure I can do that.
But best offers in general
are a real pain in the buns.
They're frustrating
at best but I
almost get a fun sense of uh of elation when i when i decline
a six dollar offer i'm like come on i've had offers low as like three or four dollars
so what can i do with three or four dollars so what i always say is you take your six dollars
you go to the store with it and to see what you can buy but before you do that you
have to pay an uber to get to the store and see what you got left from that and then use that six
bucks oh actually it'll be negative then um to it costs you, to try to buy anything.
So that's the way I look at it.
So if you're going shopping, so if you want to send me a $6 offer,
it's not going to happen.
It's even $7.
I don't even really take up to like $9.
Actually, right now I'm not really taking any offers
unless it's really something that's over $20
and maybe you want a couple more bucks off of it
and i guess i kind of have to do that um but besides that so i had a couple of low low ball
best offers uh that i declined and then i just had a few different offers i mean a few different
orders um one actually is yesterday i was pulling apart a
wii i don't know if i kept it all together but i actually have a whole inner metal plastic set of
a wii that i sold so i need to do i'll pull another one today so i got that one to do
and that's with the metal and everything so we'll pull that
that's those are rum bulky so it's over it's over a pound however now I can use
ground advantage which at the price it is, used to be the price of priority.
Again, shipping costs have gone just crazy.
So, as they go up, that means the margin of a few bucks I make will dwindle more.
But it's just what it is.
I just kind of keep pace with what I'm doing.
I really haven't changed much.
I mean, I could add shipping costs, but that would have to be be one blanketed and it's just a lot easier with free shipping and free returns it gives you a little bit better chance of
selling something but if someone does free returns then it kind of goes
against you later so what I still have four outstanding returns that yet have been
none of them are shipped out yet so so that's negative money that i have to come up with
as those come in normally i usually if someone does a return i'll i'll just pay as soon as the
ebay marks it has shipped i will uh refund before it even comes back just as a just because I I usually
do but these days I'm kind of low on funds I have to wait but sometimes when
I get things back from a return God knows what it is and you really know
what a fighter return or try to say something wasn't as it was you can you're
never really gonna win so there's really no point that's
why i just refund just to get it out of the cycle get it off the queue of being in a return
so if i have the funds available i'll just refund it and then um move on that's all you can do
that's what i've learned there's no sense really fighting stuff the more i try to fight anything or contact the buyer or especially if it's something that's not as i got it um
the worse it the worse it is that i'll end up with some sort of a negative feedback
even if i know it's not what i shipped well but once in a while i'll still contact with something
really really off because i got lots of videos of showing where i uh i got
really uh screwed hard on returns that weren't what i shipped broken pieces and stuff i actually
got the one that the one i have is the one with the literally the screw that guy shipped me back
which is pretty funny and then just kind of shake it off and move on just have to cut your losses
luckily most returns I don't really get that many in general but they do happen
so let's see so that's then I just had a port for from the ps1 so we're gonna do
that one next so I only got like a few orders this morning.
And let's see my last order.
Oh, port for GameCube.
So my last negative feedback is from that.
Bugger.
It said port four didn't need,
it just needed a little bit more cleaning.
I tried cleaning each port, attached to each port.
Yeah, sometimes they're really dried
up and they just need extra work and i tried to explain it to the guy but he flipped it
onto a negative feedback i'm not glad so okay and anything exposed to the outside air uh
gamecubes came out 2001 so outside air 2001 ports three through four are never were never under how they ever used
therefore they dried up and so you need to clean them up a little bit i clean them i clean each
one make sure i test each port before i ship it yeah sometimes i just might need a little
little square and i told him just hit it with a square wd-40 but he didn't like that comment
that's what i do i actually what i do is i use i use a spit lube
i put a little spit in the end of the the plug that goes from the controller into the port and
then i just kind of rub it around a little bit and then it usually uh it works again i've saved
hundreds of those ports over the years the gamecube ports but uh the battery is always
the problem with the port i
detail that the battery needs replacing it's a 20 year old battery it definitely needs to be replaced
so those are the orders i have this morning a little bit pretty basic so what i'm going back to
is yesterday i learned something huge uh i do a um a system midday sometime and then I bring in I
talk about it different variations of the system that I know and then I bring
my AI buddy Zippy in to give me all more insight so what I'd learned yesterday
which was fascinating,
which I didn't even realize,
it's all about the backwards compatible PS3 FAT.
I didn't realize the knowledge that Zippy gave me
was much more than I had,
that the Model A and Model B both have the COK001 board,
and those are the only boards that are true backwards compatibles.
PS1 and PS2, I think it said it has a PS2 chip on it, if I'm correct.
That's what Zippy was telling me.
And I thought E was also the same, but it is not.
And E has a COK-002 motherboard, which it says does not have the PS2 chip on it.
It has some sort of an emulator or something to emulate the PS2 so you can play some of the games.
So therefore, that means that on the original A and B, those still don't play every single PS2 game,
but they're supposed to play most of them.
However, now, which I didn't know,
is the PS3, that E plays much less games for PS2.
PS1 is supposed to play all of them, but not PS2.
So I didn't know that.
And then, even more fascinating that I found out yesterday,
which I'm going to go through in a little video later on, is that the Model G, I was always calling the transition. the Model E is a motherboard model COK-02.
So therefore, that's different.
Like I said, make an E a different board, and it doesn't have the chip for PS2.
Therefore, like I said, a lot of the games on PS2 won't play.
So G, I found out from my AI buddy Zippy yesterday,
that that is also a model COK-002.
However, it only has two front ports
as opposed to the COK-002E with four front ports.
So therefore, that means there's two variations of the C-OK-002.
I never knew that.
I was just assuming that when I got the G,
although I could use the power supply,
it was a little bit different, a little plastic on the bottom,
but still metal on top, on an A, E, or B.
And the disk drive on those mostly were
the ones where the drive board's on the outside. So I could also use those on an A, E, or B.
But I never thought that a Model G, well, according to Zippy, a Model G will actually
play PS1 games and limited PS2 games because it has an emulator board as an
emulator of some kind like the E but even less from what I understood from what Zippy was saying
then after G all the rest of the boards do not play PS1 games or definitely not the ps2 games so that was a huge
thing i learned yesterday i just kind of learned it from doing this podcast now and i use uh zippy
as my little uh i bring him in as a little sidekick but really what zippy does it gives me
much more insight the things i hadn't i didn't know about so later i'm going to do a video i have actually have a couple g's that uh work and i wasn't really even concentrating on selling
them the motherboards or even a partial i actually have a partial e listed right now but i need to
change that now that i realize that it's not a full backwards compatible like an A or B
it has to be that C okay dash 001 and I'm gonna look I've got some parts
boards around that I'm gonna sell for the C okay oh oh one and C okay dash oh
oh two and I also have a's B's and E's that don't work. I'm going to pull some of them, compare the boards,
figure out where that PS2 chip is on a COK-001
compared to on a COK-02, which Zippy Sane does not have one.
Interesting.
And then finally, I'm going gonna pull a ps3g motherboard and
compare that see okay dash o2 to the EC okay dash o2 so that was me some fun
stuff to do things I didn't know I'm trying to always learn other things
about systems exact motherboards and whatnot that I was not aware of.
I thought I pretty much learned everything with the model PS3 FATS, but I was wrong, which is exciting.
I like to learn new stuff so I can share it.
So we're going to work on that.
I'm going to make a video in a little while.
I've got some stuff to do.
I found out my today
my my truck has a radiator problem so i need to see if i can get it get dropped off to get it fixed
with all i don't have the money to get it fixed right now but uh i have a 2004 jeep liberty that
been really good to me in the last year and a half i put a lot of money into it a couple years ago and it's been really good it's got over 200 000 miles but
antifreeze has been leaking but now it looks like it's all coming out from the radiator so
i have to go i have some guy that i really don't have many i don't have a guy you know people
ever say oh i have a guy i really don't have a guy but there is someone that will help me out with
fixing my truck so I'll go see him see if I can have a look at it see if we can
patchwork it for now hopefully it's getting older I was hoping to get
something I want to get a new motor for actually burns oil I've always having to
change the oil in it I really wanted to i like the cheap it's a jeep liberty 2004 it's pretty good
shape uh it's only two-wheel drive it's not four-wheel drive so it's pretty good on gas and
it's been pretty good to me uh i've invested you know i've changed all the seals on it and
and did a lot on the outer part of the motor but it burns oil so the inner motor
needs to be like the pistons rings and all that they need to be changed and i was hoping i would
save some money up to do that but at this point it does not look like that's going to happen so
we got to keep trying to patchwork it together so yeah so i had four orders this morning one two one
two three four all pretty easy peasy stuff just
quick pulling ship so we'll get that done this morning and then i gotta go drop my truck off too
so if i have a truck issue that means i can't go drop things off at the post office
that means i have to leave more things in the mailbox and i haven't really been going to the
post office that much because it's about five ten minutes away so every time you drive the post office obviously it's gas
to get there and and gas to get back but that means you get you could be your
package should shipped out faster with all the discounts and coupons and less
sales lately I had to cut corners and one of them is not going to the post office just to save that uh wear and tear on the jeep as well as um gas therefore most of the time now i post i just put everything in my mailbox i've
got like our super oversized mailbox everything just goes in that but the post off the mailman
doesn't come to the end of the day therefore doesn't get picked up till then and then it
goes to the post office and i think it still ships out that same day
from my main post office
out I think
because people are still getting it pretty fast
however sometimes if I do have a lot of orders
and they're really big boxes
it's hard to, I can't really fit everything
into my box
but if I don't have a jeep
that makes it even worse
then I definitely cannot go
it has to go into the mailbox.
And it has to wait until the end of the day.
Because my mailman doesn't come pick up until like 4, 3 or 4.
Which is good.
Because that way I can keep putting things out in the mailbox.
And I'll keep putting things out there until he leaves.
Until he picks it up.
And then he comes back around to drop off the actual mail.
He swings by because I'm almost like a business pickup. So he comes by around to drop off the actual he swings by because i'm
almost like a business pickup so he comes by with the truck picks up all my packages then goes does
the rest of the route on my my end and then he walks back around to drop off the mail the actual
mail and then if i if he hasn't come yet then i can still throw out a couple more packages
uh they don't like me though because i
have so much darn stuff uh that they um they're bringing back sometimes more than they probably
bring out and i'm sure it's a lot of extra work for them to log all that in when they come back
to their to their end of the day shift so uh but i do it anyway so i've god i was over the years of free shipping how much money the postal
service has made off for me oh my goodness between that and ebay fees uh that's where everything goes
ebay fees and shipping costs again uh now i'm shipping things you know at seven dollars my cost
and people are buying them at eight or nine dollars so it's all gone used to be about three
quarters of of my sales were were gone so for every ten dollars i was making like three bucks
but now i'm down to like like probably a dollar per order so once in a while i'll sell something
that's a little bit bigger like a motherboard or something so then maybe i'm making 10 or 15 dollars so yeah the profit is really going down significantly
but we just keep plugging away that's all you can do really so we'll just we're gonna i'm gonna
keep adding more stuff to my store i just haven't i did some uh psp stuff yesterday but now with i
learned something about the ps3 fats i've got a lot of those disk drives from the backwards compatible ones
the ones that have the
Drive board on the outside. I'm going to list
Defective donor drives. I've got about ten of them that had some issue or another
There's two special little teeny a micro cable and then a teeny ribbon cable those are broken off so it just comes
without them so i'm gonna get those listed today while we do a video on my new finding of the ps3
uh fat g model so we'll come to that later all right so i'm gonna get my day going here
it's a little bit later now it's 7. And then we'll come back midday.
Do some other.
System.
I'll pick another system.
Today.
I'll talk to you guys later.
