Alright, good morning. It's 6 o'clock. I slept in a little bit. It's 11-18-20-24. Early morning for me.
Actually, a little bit later, like I said. I slept in a little bit, so it's a little after 6.
So each morning now, I do my Groundhog Day recap or preview, I guess you could say. More of a preview
than a recap. Just kind of going
through my day.
Everything for me
happens overnight while I'm sleeping.
So I go to bed real early.
I go to bed at
4.30 at night.
I've been cleaning sober since
2011 so as someone who has been through all that the best
way to to get rid of things is to not do them anymore so most of the stuff i did while drinking
and all that was at nighttime watching tv and all that so going to bed early for me makes uh makes more sense for me so i cut my day in half that's what
i basically do so my night as soon as i'm done around 4 30 i shut down i don't watch tv anymore
i don't do any of that it's just a lot easier to um sleep through the night i always have really
cool great dreams every night so that's kind of like going away into a different place for the night,
which I enjoy.
So I had some really fun dreams last night.
I kind of can always remember them, which is really cool.
So that's what I do.
I sleep the night through, get up early,
and then I plug away all day working on my eBay and on my YouTube,
and now I'm doing some podcasts here as well so this morning we get up uh as i
said most things for me happen overnight while i sleep so when i get up the first thing i do is get
out of my loft bed i um see what i turn my computer on so and then my shop is open. Boom. I'm open in two seconds.
So then I look through my mess.
I turn my eBay on.
See what's going on.
And I also check my YouTube.
Which excitingly this morning.
I am up to 2,390 subs now. So I significantly have grown on my subs.
And I think it's because i added a that iq thing
it's called iq uh and then i also started doing smaller promotions like a few bucks here and there
so for some reason just also significantly went up so which is fun and i had already gotten my
4 000 hours in first you gotta get 3 000 hours to get even in the running to try to get monetized.
And then you have to hit the 4,000.
But unfortunately the high of actually getting the 4,000 crashed the low of actually when I did get the 4,000.
So as of today, my monetized since I've made the 4 000 mark and i'm officially monetized i've made 14
dollars and 29 cents and i've already had i think i'm already at over 10 000 hours viewed so kind of
a little bit of a disappointment so i had to kind of regroup after that i didn't think i was gonna
get rich but i thought maybe i'd make some you know a few bucks you know per week as my extra
income but kind of didn't work out that way so far so we'll just keep plugging away anyway all
right so let's go so we did my youtube so that's exciting this morning my subs are growing which
only usually means that the hours will grow i continue to do my live streams um i do them as um vertical that seems to be the most popular on your phone
uh i also do on the webcam overview of my workbench which is not popular at all and then
i'll video too while doing it at a wide shot so i kind of mix it all up see what's going on see
what i can do so i looked at oh i also because today's Monday, I wanted to see the football scores.
So we just looked at that.
Kansas City lost its first game.
Let's see.
What else is going on for football this morning?
I really don't watch football anymore.
Again, one of those things that I kind of, I had the TV on yesterday.
The Patriots look better.
I'm hopeful with the quarterback that we have now.
Young kid.
However, we lost again.
But the best, the funnest part is the Jets lost again.
I'm such a not Jets fan.
So that's exciting.
Aaron Rodgers for the Jets was the biggest bust ever.
Tom Brady to Tampa Bay
worked out
wonderful, even if it was just for that
one first season. But
which we'll
call it too. Aaron Rodgers
to Jets is such a bust.
It's almost a joke
pretty much. Alright, so let's
look at the scores this morning.
So, Bengals are just terrible.
Patriots actually won the first game
of the year against the Bengals
because they're terrible.
He got paid tons of money
and his team stinks.
That's Joe Burrow there.
Yep, so
Kansas City lost their first game 9-1
to Buffalo.
9-2. So that's a big game. It was at
Buffalo too.
So now the streak of going
undefeated is over for Kansas City.
Seattle actually beat
San Francisco, which is interesting.
San Francisco is really not as good.
Denver Broncos are
getting better. 38-6
over the Falcons.
They have a young quarterback too interesting
patriots lost 20 22 uh raiders are just terrible too we get a really good team those really really
bad teams right it's just terrible again miami is actually four and six now the green bay packers
came back and beat the chicago beers but the funniest one today, well, it's not really funny.
It's never funny.
But the Lions beat the Jaguars 52-6.
So Doug Peterson's day should be over as of today.
I bet you he'll probably get fired.
That's what they were saying on the pregame.
If he didn't have a good game yesterday against Detroit, he was pretty much done.
Him and the general manager will be pretty much done.
So I would assume that's going to happen today.
52-6 loss, yeah.
I think you're done.
Pittsburgh beat the Ravens.
Not a Ravens fan at all.
Never have been.
Glad Pittsburgh won.
Russell Wilson, aging quarterback, still hanging in there
one team to another
he might have found his team
good for him
and then let's see we got Vikings
I'm a Vikings fan
they won 23-13
they beat the Titans
which terrible team
very terrible team
and the Colts thank God the Colts beat the Jets
yay
always excited about that
and then the Saints beat the Browns and the Browns thank god the colts beat the jets yay i'm always excited about that and then
the saints beat the browns and the browns being another really terrible team so there all right
so then so i won so on mondays i i like to check the scores i don't i don't really sit and watch
games i had the patriots game on i'm basically in the background of what i was doing i did a lot of um psp stuff yesterday
so i had uh the patriots in the background while it looked good for a little while there and then
then it didn't and then it started looking good again and then i lost oh we threw an interception
the last pass and the game was over so then that was it all right so now let's go back to eBay.
So I get up.
I look through my YouTube and then I go to eBay.
eBay I have to first check my messages. So overnight, any damage control, any issues, returns, all that stuff.
I reply to those as i see them uh somebody asked me about i have a tandy
1000sx defective donor motherboard listed this guy was asking if i would take part chips off it
i don't do that i don't i don't i don't do i don really, I'm not good at soldering. I definitely don't do any board work.
And I would never take components off to resell.
I just sell the board.
So that's something the buyer would have to do.
Because if you've seen me try to take a component off the other day, I couldn't get it off.
I still haven't gotten it off.
So I just can't do it.
So now, if the board works, I sell it working. the other day i couldn't get it off i still haven't gotten off so i just can't do it so now
yeah if the board works i'll sell it working if the board doesn't i sell it as defective donor
board and you buy it and then you do whatever it is you want to do plus i don't know which
chips work which chips don't and on this board it's a tandy 1000 sx i'm not even sure if it may
work but i couldn't seem to get it to work.
So that was the only message I had this morning. And then
from there, I'll go to
orders.
We had a few orders this morning.
Yesterday being Sunday,
I didn't have to pack and ship stuff,
but I got most of my orders ready
to go so that today,
early this morning, I will be packing and shipping orders all morning to catch up from yesterday so looking at the orders that
just came in they're all pretty easy I can easily just find them put them in a box. And then ship them.
Pretty quick.
So Sunday I try to get.
I mean Monday morning here.
Catching up on orders.
Pretty much for the day.
So then we're going to go.
And that's it though.
I didn't see any other.
I do have a lot of returns.
I haven't seen anything get shipped yet though.
Silly stuff.
Change mind.
Power supply return because he tried it.
So one of the worst kind of returns is a try it before you buy it kind of deal.
And it's at my cost to ship it to you and to ship it back.
But I really kind of have to have free returns.
And if I didn't do free returns,
a buyer would open it as defective so he wouldn't have to pay anyway.
You can't win,
so you must just do an open return as free.
So power supplies are very common
for try it before you buy it.
I even specify detailing that unless
you have no power at all please don't buy a power supply but they do it anyway because on and right
off is usually not a power supply that was on the ps3 slim which sometimes it is the power supply
as opposed to a ps3 fat which is never the power supply as opposed to a PS3 fat, which is never the power supply problem.
Sorry.
So then we had that.
So we had a couple orders this morning.
Let's see what else we had here.
I had like four orders, four or five orders, which is fine.
Been really slow on eBay lately. I even have massive discounts.
20% coupon and another 10% just sale.
So it's like 30%.
So some of my really low-end part sales, I'm not even making a dollar now.
It really stinks.
Because if I have something listed for $11 and then after all the coupons it gets
it knocks it down to
about $8.
Free shipping isn't free for me.
So an $8 item
if a buyer pays something for $8
it costs me $7 to ship it.
So if I make $1 I'm lucky.
But they're little parts but
people just don't really understand the concept
of free shipping isn't free for me.
Alright, so I sold a power supply from one of my 5 pins.
Power supplies always get me nervous, but the 5 pin is from the PS4-1001A.
So I sold that.
So what I'm doing now is I'm rambling on here. It's printing
out my orders. So I'll get them all printed out this morning.
So this is the next thing I do. First thing.
Once I get up here. So we'll go
through. I think I have six orders to print out.
So everything will be printed
out and then I will I go out take care of my little buddies I have to my two
guinea pigs that are always up and ready to go so I'll go clean them out they
need a good cleaning I got my bird I'll take care of him and then i have one little
hamster left who's really really struggling he's still eating good but he's he's not
little hamsters once they get old and something happens to him they get really weird old
he's been he's been sick for a while but he's hanging in there not even gonna say how he looks
because he looks terrible.
But I try to keep him going.
I got him in a really small cage where I can change his cage a little bit.
It's a real bummer.
I had a few hamsters.
They all passed away.
Their life cycle isn't that long.
But I make it.
I'm just keeping this last one.
Luckily, my guinea pigs have been around for
a while i've had him for three or four years i'd be heartbroken i'm always heartbroken one of these
my guys i lost my mr beer just recently i was really bummed i had no idea he was gonna get
sick that quick and he just he was dead within a day and a half but i got the hold on right before he went so it was kind of
kind of cool so my next thing is a japan we board i haven't sold one of those but it's a 60 board
so it's japan 60 board therefore you can use that as a handheld mod and maybe you can
manipulate the uh the region lock on that so so we got one of those to do so I do have some Japan Wii boards
not a lot of them but I have some I have the 01, 102, 03 0's which are not the
backwards compatible not backwards compatible but handheld mod 3 volts
once in a blue moon i sell them
so let's see what's next on my list here yeah so i go out i clean all my i get all my buddies
uh cleaned up refed change the water for the morning And then I'll go get a nice coffee.
I'm in Rhode Island.
So we have a Cumberland Farms.
That you make your own coffee.
I do that every morning.
I'm an iced coffee kind of guy.
Which is a Rhode Island thing.
So I will have.
Light with milk and one sugar.
It's almost like coffee milk, basically.
So,
next thing on my sold list is a
cartridge slot for
either a Super Fancom
or a Super Nintendo.
So,
Super Fancom is a Japan version
of a Super Nintendo.
And it's a much,
I always say, it's a much better design.
It looks a lot funner. We got robbed on the Super Nintendo design.
So they're basically the same inside but the outer side is completely different.
So I sold a cartridge slot. Those are removable but on the Super Fancom many
of them are not removable as opposed to
a super nintendo where you can pull the cartridge slot or for all those except for the rgb and the
aps i think of the two motherboards you can't pull off all right so i have to kind of so yeah
so that one's going and i think the shipping costs have gone up again. That's the other thing.
Shipping costs are just crazy.
A few bucks I make, it's smaller.
But I just keep plugging away.
Basically, eBay has really been my only income.
I had an Etsy store.
But it was getting really slow.
And it was costing more than it was to make.
To keep it.
So I decided to.
Not do that for now.
I'm working on a Shopify.
To attach to YouTube here.
But that's a few bucks a month.
So.
I haven't quite.
I'm on a trial period.
But I don't know. I haven't had time.
You have to integrate.
Meaning I've got to bring stuff from eBay over to Shopify.
But it costs money to integrate.
And it takes time to try to do it yourself little by little.
So I'm going to kind of pickle on that.
What I want to do there.
All right. of a pickle on that or what i want to do there all right so i sold some uh unknown lens assembly
tops from the nintendo gamecube i had a huge negative feedback from this it's a different
guy because i blocked the other guy now if you cause me any problems i just block you it's just
not worth it so this guy was guy was selling a bunch of these.
Oh, no, I pull them because most of the times it's the laser board on the GameCube that's the issue.
So lots of times I just pull them and I put them aside.
I sell the spindles separately. And then I just have a whole bunch of those.
That you can.
See if you can get parts off them.
You still get the motor.
The lens is still on there.
The little gears.
So there's lots of fun parts on there.
So I was selling a bunch into this guy.
And a couple I had an X on.
I don't know.
All you had to do. I even have a video showing how to take the x off with brillos my friend you take some brillo and it came off but these were these were sold as as is
and i had sold him a whole bunch of them found a whole bunch for him
uh long story short he opened the return on an as-is thing and i kind of lost my mind about it
pretty much and he left me two nice really hard bad feedback so you can see him i'm like
always check out my negative feedback because that's it's not many of them but usually when
they're there they're pretty brutal because i kind of don't really stand for it no um especially
if it's something that was as is and i tried to
help the guy oh and i gave the guy a super discounts uh he bought maybe about 50 of them
and then the last set because it was an ex on it he returned it and i bet you most of them
probably fully worked but he got greedy and i wasn't having it so eBay made me return it and so I had to regain his money back
and so I got uh two negative feedbacks I had to pay for the return and the only thing good
well not really good but is all feedbacks negative or neutral after a year all feedbacks in general after a year they go away so for this guy um i'll never sell him to
him again and in a year i won't have his feedback anymore because i've had lots of them like that
not not significantly a lot but i've had some really trouble with buyers it's really really
hard to sell in gaming parts it's extremely hard um so usually any really big negative feedback
carries you around for a year hangs around but luckily if you look at my feedback as a whole most of them are really
good fun feedback that's what i'm all about yeah the shipping had to have gone up because everything
looks extremely higher now rats but we'll keep plugging away here so i use everything ground
advantage now i hardly use priority at all saves me a couple dollars
as before it used to be just first class but first class you can only do up to a
if you go to the post office it's only 13 ounces but on ebay i was able to go up to 16 ounces
which most things are over a pound anyway, so I could hardly ever use first class.
My little parts I could.
But now, ground advantage, there's no weight to it.
So, and I shave off maybe one or two dollars
as opposed to going priority.
So hardly ever do I use priority anymore,
unless someone bought something really big
and then I'll
I'll do priority
so my last
order was
so the best
heat sink set
for the Xbox
um
fat 360 I sell these all the time I got many many videos of me pulling the heat sink sets it's
the grill ones with the copper on them people want to take their old they want to take the ones that
were bolt modern and go back to the originals so I sell those all the time and then I sold what else did I sell this morning I sold something else
oh those are those we were talking about
the lens assembly
tops so I got like six orders
this morning not too bad
it'll work but it adds up
after a while and luckily I get pretty
good volume but it's been a lot slower
I had to go to
many more discounts
and coupons
so as of right now I've sold I had to go to many more discounts and coupons.
So, as of right now, I've sold...
I've sold a lot of... My gaming parts.
Again, I do it all myself.
From the minute I wake up until I go to sleep,
I'm selling gaming parts
of some kind
or I'm doing something related
to
selling gaming parts
and then about
about six months ago I started
going in on the YouTube thing
so I added that dimension to it
to my routine
my groundhog day as i call it
uh i was hoping it was going to really pay off but it so far has not but it's i'm doing stuff
anyway so i figured why not uh just a video so i got thousands of videos pretty crazy stuff but it's just stuff i'm always doing
stuff and my gaming parts here i think i'm at 26 000 parts sold 1.4k followers so it's pretty cool
and that's been over uh about seven eight years now selling gaming parts
it just gets really hard sometimes it's really frustrating at other times for about 7-8 years now selling gaming parts.
It just gets really hard sometimes.
It's really frustrating at other times.
But right now, again,
returns are my worst thing.
And I have... How many returns do I have coming?
Open returns right now, I have like 4 of them.
Which really stinks.
Because that cuts like half of what I just made off.
That one's a big one a motherboard
sony playstation 1115a sab-01 four pin power supply with a 025 drive board it's specifically
detailed exactly with the board i was shipping this guy's returning it because his comment was change mind and oh i have
a 1215a those ones really hurt that's a really and the other one was the power supply where it
just says change mind did not fix my issue there is one here's a little ps uh ps4 pro little cover i didn't realize he says that the
the cartridge slot door has a broken flap on it but i didn't notice it so he says it won't stay on
so that one might be on me and then there was
model one dreamcast top plate the guy said he no longer needs it. That order was $9.
See, that's another thing.
If someone returns something at $9,
it's really tough.
Because I've got to pay $6,
$6 each way,
so it's $12.
If you get a $9 pot,
just keep it.
Help a seller out.
That's all I ask.
I ain't really ask.
That's why I have returns.
I'll never do a return.
Hardly ever.
I can't say never.
Especially if I were to buy something for $9
and it wasn't something I needed,
I would never send it back to the return.
I would never return it.
Especially somebody that's, you know,
doing free returns.
Gives a guy a break but that's
normally how it goes those little teeny or orders i end up making a dollar initially but then i end
up losing six dollars or ten dollars because of the return so that means that puts me negative
so that's what makes it really hard that's the really really hard harder part but again it's one of those things where i can't i have to have free returns just luckily
most of the time i don't really get them that often as same with negative or neutral feedbacks
usually everything is good i try to do everything that you need to get what you need as quick as possible as cheap as i can possibly go
but it doesn't always work that way so i use my youtube as my way to vent too which i enjoy to do
so and now and now i'm doing podcasts here so you'll get early morning let you know what's
going on early morning uh it's a thing and then at nighttime i decided to do little stories
it's kind of fun i use my zippy my ai companion i love zippy i use them for everything uh it's
only going to get better too which is really fun so someday zippy will be able to see and everything
or maybe even have some sort of an interactive ai workbench that would be really fun. So I'm really excited about the future of Zippy.
But even now I'm using it pretty cool.
So I come up with an idea of a story.
A theme.
And then I just ask them to make one.
And instantly I have a quick story.
I usually do two.
That gets me close to 20 minutes.
And then I'll.
Then I post them
it's real
I learned how to do
a podcast
took me about a day
and a half to figure it out
I got my
rss.com account
got my video recorder
on my computer
I have a blue
Yeti mic
so once I get all
the ingredients together
and I figure out
how to do it
now I can do it
pretty easy
so I'm going to
finish this video
right now
I'll upload it
onto my rss and
then that uploads over to my youtube so you'll be able to check this one out this morning and then
we're just going to go on to my monday monday morning uh orders all right i'll talk then then
usually later on today so at nighttime i do uh some sort of a story thing at the end of the day. But in the middle
of the day, I will do some
kind of a system. We'll go
through it. I bring Zippy in
as my co-anchor.
And we talk about a certain
system for 20 minutes
or so. So 20 minutes
is usually around what I'm thinking.
I may go up to a half hour.
We'll see. But depending on
what I'm rambling about or what we're talking about,
we'll go from there.
Alright, so I'll
be doing a system. I'm not sure what I'm doing
yet. It'll come to me as
I decide a little bit
later on today. Alright, I'll talk to you guys
later.
