Good morning everyone. It is now 538, 12-11, 2024. So the days are just plugging away here towards Christmas. And then after Christmas you get that huge lull because there's really nothing else. I look forward to really going into that deep winter blues and all that. So I try to keep upbeat and keep doing lots of fun stuff during that time I do stuff all the time anyway but that's a tough stretch there from Christmas you all you get to New Year's Eve you can kind of count that as a little bit more celebration and then after that and it just goes to you get

to the spring. Spring is what you look forward to. I just woke up. Oh, last night my PS5 Slim came in. So I had gotten a PS5 Pro. I had it for one day and then I traded it away. It was a little too big and bulky. And I couldn't really afford to keep it at the time. I also had a portable too. And then I was going to get the PS4 why i got it it's portable now it's just cloud gaming

gaming so you can use that as a uh um as a portable only so that's cool so i probably would have went that direction but i do have my slim now so we'll unbox it later. I had to stay up a little bit later than I normally do just because UPS dropped it off. But it does it with a signature. So therefore, I had to be up for it until it came and didn't get it until like 6 o'clock, which is way past my bedtime. I'm in bed usually 4.30. My day's done. So let's see what's going on today. So I did some fun stuff yesterday i worked on um

i had some barbie stuff i just pulled out a box of barbie stuff and i also did tommy the train i found the other pieces to that so try to mix it up not just gaming and computing i've got lots of other fun stuff to do usually it's all that other stuff that sells better than the gaming stuff. Therefore, I've got like lots of old radios. Because I used to be in the liquidation business. So I was just trying to find anything that I could do where I could be home-based. I'm actually going to do a thing later about being home-based. So I, yeah, for a while I was doing liquidation.com,

getting pallets of stuff, broken returns, like from Home Depot and all that, and then trying to resell it as broken stuff. It worked to a certain degree, a lot of work. Then I found a local company that had lots of stuff like that and i just started buying from them directly and then and then i actually worked out better for much better but then they went into the direction of all tvs so therefore i switched to all tvs so selling gaming parts. I mean selling TV parts.

Is the biggest recycling nightmare ever. I was getting. Towards the end. Through them. I was getting really good deals. But I was getting a 24 foot truck. I'd have to rent it. Go up there.

Have them fill the whole truck up. With TVs. Mostly in boxes. Broken TVs. Or not working or whatever, return TVs. And then I'd bring the truck home. Somewhere I have photos,

at least one photo or two. I wasn't doing videos then. I wish I was. Boy, that was a nightmare. So that you'd get, I'd bring the truck home. It was a rented truck. So that means I have to unload that whole 24 foot truck full of TVs and put them somewhere

I don't even know where I how I found room in my basement at that time to put stuff but it was a learning experience and then you have to recycle all the boxes and then uh so you gotta take them all out of the boxes the styrofoam you can't recycle you have to pay for that and then finally you're at the tv and then most of the time it's a broken screen or whatever so you're just taking out the main board maybe a power board and sometimes one of the little video board and then all the rest of it needs to get recycled which luckily you can throw it into the electronics area even though you've kind of stripped it already. So that was such a nightmare.

But I did it for a while. I don't know, maybe a year. I was playing around with TVs. So I have lots of boxes still of TV parts. However, there are older TV parts. But they're still good, been tested. And then they have to be boxed and put. And then you got to list them.

So my point was finding ways to home base. But maybe I'll talk about that later. All right. So let's see what's going on here this morning. Oh, I added some. I added a bio to my feed, my RSS feed. I didn't have that before. So I added a bio to my feed my RSS feed I didn't have that before so I added that looks like internet oh I need to do something here I have to hook up my internet so I'll have to take a break for a couple minutes. So my internet hooks up.

And then I'll be back in a couple minutes. So usually what I'll do is. If I get from midnight to go to the bathroom or whatever. And my mother is already going back to sleep. I usually unplug. My wifi. Just to cool it down. That wifi.

It's a cox. Obviously you don't need cable boxes anymore so but cable boxes used to be the other thing i used to those things to draw so much power and they get so hot and lots of times you put the top of them and they're very dangerous so same with this now just oh i just have the wi-fi router but that gets hot too uh so in the middle of the night. If I get up and everyone else is asleep. I'll just unplug it. Just to shut it down.

Why waste electricity? They don't really auto shut down. That I'm aware of. So a full unplug of a Wi-Fi. When you're not using it. It makes more sense. Because it's just. Power being drained for no reason.

And they get really really hot. And they need time to. Just cool off. So I'm waiting for my thing. I just plugged it back in. And I didn't realize. I had not turned it on. So it's.

But it's going to take a few minutes so I'll be back in just a couple minutes okay so the internet's back now just takes a couple minutes to reboot and do all that stuff so let's see what's going on so okay as usual

I'll check real quick i was doing stuff on um did a couple videos on quantum quantum computing and now obviously once you start looking at a few different things then now quantum computing pops up all the time on my computer. But I think I find it very fascinating. Qubits and physical qubits and then logical qubits. Pretty interesting stuff. So I'm into all that kind of blowing up shit.

So again, I don't talk about anything gloom and doom. Quantum Computing Inc. is the leader in the industry. For how long that's where you can go to learn how to simulate a quantum

your conscious could travel multiverse when your dream claim scientists so big thing that talks about that we're in a multiverse, which kind of makes sense to me, actually. Alright, so let's see... anything that's looking... Alright, so we're going to keep...

I thought I'd get some orders off of them, but let's see what kind of views I got on Etsy, though. 327 views, 249 visits, no orders. Bummer. Someone favored my shop. See, it was going to take a while to get it back to people favoring my show i used to get my shop favored all the time but i shut down because i needed to redo it i mean i didn't really i just had to take all my listings and get them into the correct category i have now added best offers and i have a sale so although not probably this month i'll probably lose my money but maybe maybe month, or a couple months from now, it'll pick up again, and I'm transferring stuff over from eBay

more, so I could continue to do that, all right, let's go to, let's look at my RSS feed, let's see what we got going on, I got new people, the most exciting part about going to my RSS feed is to see the map where all the new red dots come from. The red dots depicting anybody who's uploaded my video. I mean my podcast. Oh yeah, so I added... So if you go to my feed now, it says, These are my daily adventures. Work a few times a day i'm 56 i grew up on all gaming and computing i am a seller of gaming parts on ebay and etsy in the past eight years i've learned about every system ever made pretty much not every one but pretty close to it i've had at least one of each one too i'm also an enthusiast collector and hobbyist of all vintage computing from the very beginning because at 56 i've seen every computer i've not had one but i've been through that each generation in the last few years i've been sharing my knowledge with others on youtube tiktok and now this podcast and then i put some links and i put see where all the magic happens so you can go to link to each one of my youtube my ebay store my etsy store or tiktok kind of see what's going on so i thought that would be fun to add let's see my analysis that's so i actually had 7 people

that's my biggest one yet so I'm at 105 let's see if I get some new dots that's the most exciting part um not seem to be the same I have one person that's from Ash

Bomb Ash Bomb that's downloaded most of the stuff. And it shows a breakdown of. Apple Podcasts. Which I'm on. Podcast Addicts. Podbean.

Which is actually showing up now. And Spotify. So. We're getting out there. Pretty fun. I really really enjoy doing my podcast. In the mornings. Especially. Because I'm doing stuff anyway so mothers just share that's why I call it groundhog day as I always say because it's basically my same routine

however the actual stuff I'm doing for the day changes dependent on where my eBay store goes. All right, let's look at YouTube. Let's see what we're at here. Oh, I made 4,000 yesterday. Again, the key being that... Oh, I'm 4,100 now. So I really cranked it up. like i keep promoting listings the ones that are fun and this significantly makes a difference and my santa photo has been really good i promoted

that show it's the first time i promoted this short and i only did it because it was the short of when we were at the eggway to get our santa where the first time I ever had the lady take my phone and video was actually taking the picture so the pitch should actually be in today I should I want to look at my gmail on my but now I have a video that's actually doing as well it's really fun and we've done that for many years so 4500 so now I've actually gone up a little bit. I'm at $30.52. But last month I promoted about $50.

And this month it looks like I promoted about another $50. So therefore I'm really negative $70 so far. But we're increasing here.'s that's a fun sign but to me the the main reason for increasing is promotions but i only do little ones i only do five dollars i'll actually promote all of them at about 10 bucks so let's see i've got uh one active active active i've got one two three four five promotions so that's another 50 bucks some of them actually might be 20 so 50 60 set probably like 70 bucks uh and it shows how many impressions you get so we'll just let we'll let those go

and it looks like next month the money will come out for that. But I wish there was a way I could take that $30 I made. And minus it from my promotions. That would help me a lot. I mean not significantly. Because basically eBay has been so slow. We're going to go there now. And I haven't had any sales on Etsy.

So let's go. And then I just had that debacle. Well it was still fun though. Doing the top head for the TRC. Sticker shark really. Was a bummer. At the end. It was a really big high doing it all having fun with it and then i lost just about all my all the hard work invested in it all right so let's go so let's

see so we're four so we've gone up yesterday when i went to bed it was at four thousand so i've gone up another 105 since yesterday average durations 1.55 oh and then i saw i had a congratulations you've had 950 000 uh views which is wonderful why couldn't i get one dollar for every one of those views that would be cool yeah i only have 30 and 52 cents one of those other people that talk about having not made any money oh and so oh comments so let's see we've got some comments here this is a good one um i have not received uh this he gave some kind of weird face about sometimes i'll get a comment so comments i added

and i don't mind it now so far as long as it's something that you request what's different between 11 t1 t1 t2 my ones told me so if you ask me a question i'll i'll reply if i if i it doesn't get too out of hand uh so the the comments so far been pretty good it's when they get weird and and way off track then I'm yeah so comments sir there's one other comment here what's it say this is a good one duo doc teardown I don't know if he means the video I don't know if he usually replies so so figuring out the power issue so that this was my duo doc tear down I did last

night for went to bed I had to stay up a little bit so I made another video and I'm working on figuring out how the power issue so I kind of understand it you have to tear it apart from the top and the bottom to get to stuff and the other one so that's what i replied to that so if i see the messages i try to reply to them so that's actually a pretty good addition all right so now we'll go to ebay and the drum roll oh just so if you hear my reaction, that's not good. So not only am I not really getting any orders, I'm also... Oh, I got three orders. I'll take three orders.

When I get an offer, they're really low. My minimum is $11 per order. Even if it's like one screw, it doesn't matter. Or maybe I saw something bigger oh cool so i did sell something that's a little bit more so that'll help me out so obviously i've been trying to do this list more stuff of a bigger amount just so that i can okay this is 12 oops 23 23 alright so

um yeah so if I I get a couple good big hits here and there then I it's alright

I used to I used to rely just on lots of selling like 10 to 20 items a day um for parts and then it would add up to a good amount but I just it's just not happening anymore Like 10 to 20 items a day. Um. For parts.

And then it would add up to a good amount. But I just. It's just not happening anymore. It's the. Everything is just saturated. So that's. Therefore that's why I've been really. Pushing my YouTube.

Doing the podcast. Trying to come up with other. Home based ideas. and plus selling some other stuff here and there i got lots of things other than gaming parts to sell as we talked earlier i have lots of salvaged radios that are good that need some work tv parts i got plenty of stuff I just got to get it right and I'm also my vintage computing that so this guy offered $10 on my my $13 so I kind of have to take a $10 offer that means I can go leave it like a couple bucks so kind of have to do that so we to have to print out some stuff here. So let's see what we sold.

Oh, and I bought two power supplies yesterday. I'm trying not to buy anything. However, it's an investment in my Apple Duo laptops. that neither one of my apple duo one or duo two works i found the power supplies that you can charge that those i have three laptops for the duo so i found a guy that had two of them for a fairly decent price so i bought both of them and then those duos i will sell them separately the laptops because the duo doesn't work and then eventually just sell the duo itself as a parts that's the plan feedback let's see what we got going on here

and then i also have another uh i invested in another. I have an Apple PowerBook 150. That I didn't have a power supply. And I ordered that. But that has a bad screen. However it still would sell though. So that should be coming in a couple days. So I'm going to ramp up my vintage computing. I got some other Apple stuff I wanna do today, I think.

And Commodore 64. I wanna get some motherboards and other stuff listed. So I sold a power supply for my uh, the 5-pin PS4, the dreaded 1115A power supply.

I need that. Yeah, that will help me out. It's the ADP-240CR it's four pin I sold one of my CPU Xbox 01 through 05 CPU heatsink and the clamp and then I sold another hi-def I do i'm just doing them as parts a lot of them work though um uh sega genesis 1601 the one that's the high def got that extra extra ex port i always thought that ex port was for video but it's not according to zippy it's it's for um uh extra things that they never did down the road i guess i'm not sure what happened there but all right so let's print that out so we got that one and i gotta print out one other one that came in uh last night so let's do that and everything i ship now is ground advantage unless it's a really big item

but the price of ground advantage which is kind of a replacement of first-class is now the price of a priority used to be so although it's changed the name the price so that if you go to priority then it's that next level is even more so for me I have free shipping which I pretty much always had and then with eBay fees so if I see if I sell 10 something for10, I'm probably losing about $8 now. So that means I make $2. So if you look at it that way, it's kind of a bummer.

But there's nowhere I can really... Etsy was a little bit cheaper. But Etsy charges you $20 per... I mean $0.20 per listing per listing and if you got a couple hundred listings that adds up so the GP the GPU oh 105 Xbox so the original Xbox was the 1.0 it had the dreaded fan on it so what you do is you take the fan out and you then you get one of these gpu heat sinks and just replace it therefore quiet your your 1.0 original xbox 0102 down really really a lot quieter you don't need the fan that's the only

one that had the fan was the original one so if i have those i i always sell those out usually i haven't sold one i had two i've had two but today's the first time i sold one of the two which is fine all right so i got that one going out so finish the orders I got here just printing out now and then that dictates where I'm going for the day although I I am going to look at my PS5. And I'm not even sure if it's a slim

or if it's just a digital version of the other one. It doesn't matter. I just wanted to get one again. Alright, next we have the power supply. We'll do that one next. So I do still have a discount. It's a lot it's a lot lower discount but I just I'm no longer doing promotions on eBay because that was just taking more money out it's craziness and then I do a coupon but I don't promote to coupon because then that's another thing that ebay would take money off of

so coupons and discounts don't charge you more through ebay but if you do other promotions and other kind of stuff they do so i i swear since i'm not doing any more promotions eBay's like cut me off in some weird way I just can't afford to promote do listings coupons discount and then promote so then my $10 goes down to like 50 cents and that's just not fun at all so i have to kind of stop somewhere but we'll just keep plugging away i always do my etsy will turn around on me and i started opening up a shop off five store but i that was more money that was

gonna come out and that was like 40 bucks a month he based fifty sixty dollars a month so let's see so the last thing was the top and bottom grill. No, actually just the bottom. No, the top grill and trim for the Xbox 360 S1439. I saw lots of those. Mostly the bottom part though. It's in two pieces.

So. Let's see how this is going. Just one of those. Oh, and then I gotta print out this other thing too. We'll do that. Let's see here. So, we'll get this one printed out and then I'm going to print out a LED cover for the Sega Dreamcast top cover. Just that little LED cover. It's clear. A lot of times it gets really yellow after a while and then the two screws and I think it's the same guy that originally offered me $6 the other day

and I ain't doing $6 then he offered me $7.50 but as we've already said it's going to cost me $8 to get it out the door therefore I just keep declining I don't do counters at all it's just not worth it, it it's pretty basic concept you make an

offer if it's too low i decline it and i'll keep doing that until it's something i'll i'll uh be interested and then i'll accept it so usually after like one or two declines i never heard from the uh that buyer again which is kind of the point because if you offer me six bucks please don't come back because it's not really helping me out if i can't even just ship something uh for eleven dollars door-to-door service where it's going to cost me eight dollars to ship it then i need to do something else you know but for buyer they just see a little part they go I can just get there for like five bucks sure if I saw you in person I probably

tons I pulled I was cleaning out some shelves so I got some fun other TRS-80 stuff to look at again old TRSA modem the original model 1 modem model 1 model 2 extension

thing we can put stuff in it extender that plugs into the cartridge The original Model 1 modem. Model 1, Model 2 extension thing. We can put stuff in it. Extender that plugs into the cartridge slot. That's pretty fun. So we'll play around with that. I'm going to put the Duo Docks aside for now. Until those power adapters come in. And then try to sell a couple of those laptops just separately.
