Cold Days of Winter are here

Good morning everyone. It is 6 o'clock in the morning. Today is December 4th. December will go by fast. Christmas will be here before you know it. So my brother dropped off some cool holiday thing out front. So I took a nice video of all the Christmas stuff my mother decorated. She did a really good job inside. And then did some good cool decorations outside.

We got one of those star bright sparkly thingy that spins around and puts a bunch of stuff on your house. So that's pretty fun. So we're pretty cool for holidays. So what we do annually, which I have to find out today, is every year our local Agway has Santa Claus and we bring my dogs. I've got video pictures and videos for the last few years that we've done it. I do it with my mother and my dogs. And we've been doing it all the way since I remember when my Miss Molly, who passed away a couple years ago, my Beagle. We first got her.

We started doing it then. That was a good 10 years, 10, 12 years ago. So I've got to find out when that is. It'll probably be this weekend, hopefully. And then PetSmart has it as well. But the one at Agway is the one we like to go to. PetSmart is fun but not as fun as the one. There's a big line. You got to get in line and all the dogs are dressed up. She's been really struggling. So yesterday I went, we had another blood pressure device for her. She wants to try to check her blood pressure because she's been really struggling with her blood pressure. So you can go in there and get that.

And sometimes I'll bread there. You can get some extra bread. I take it home. So I'll go there. So I found a device, a blood pressure tester for, but it's for your wrist, which makes it easier for her than trying to put it around her arm. Anything I can do to make it simpler for and easier for her,

I've been trying to do. This could be probably a whole podcast just alone, just about caretaking and uh pretty much been on with my mother for for many many years and on my own with her for for a long time as well but just in the last normally she's always been out be able to do everything on her own. But going into this winter. It's going to be a tough winter. She's struggling. If she gets out and about. Then it helps her out.

But when she doesn't get out and about. Then it's not as good. But it's got really cold now. So. It's going to be a long winter. And I don't know. Her health has gotten a little bit worse. But she's still alright.

I think. But it's just. It's one of those. At some point there's going to be a. Something's going to happen. But I'm just trying to prepare for it. As much as I can. Trying to help her out.

In any aspect. That I am able to do the best while still trying to kind of have my own little, this is my kind of escape here, my YouTube, my eBay store, my podcast, it gives me a little escape a little bit. So I enjoy to do this and then like to share some stuff so anybody out there that's taking care of someone that they're seeing starting to um get a little bit not as good as they were it's uh just a little something to talk about all right so let's see what's going on this morning with me

uh let's see my my big sale ended it was kind of a bust which was my cyber monday half off i had everything half off but i really barely sold anything so we started a new campaign but first let's check the news so eminem's mother passed away a big fan of m&m well just basically when the um eight miles out and all that's good music then i don't really listen to music anymore uh it tends to draw me back into things that are not good so i don't only music i like now and even then i hardly listen to it if i'm in the car is k love i like the inspirational stuff the really really you know deep passionate ones those are the ones i like those songs so uh that's um pretty much i used to always listen to country but it's just

it's just all about drinking and broken relationships and all that stuff that i have no part of at all i've been in a relationship at all 20 years probably a long time but those things that are just don't work for you just best the best way that what the best thing to do is just get rid of them and that's worked for me just get rid of the things that you just couldn't figure out or deal with and then you're much better all right so let's see we'll go so remember we have etsy now too so etsy so far it's been uh no still no sales i brought etsy back in as a hopefully as a place to but maybe i need to work on a little bit more i added best offers too on etsy i gotta check through that i'm getting views 172 views

125 visits i'm gonna add more stuff but unfortunately when you add more stuff it's 20 cents per listing for a month and the problem is with that is it adds up quick so i've already invested about 60 into etsy with no return at this point but i had to close for a while i'm gonna work on some other stuff with it there's only so much time in a day excuse me i haven't woke up yet um to do stuff and sometimes yesterday i was playing around with tari for a little while i just took a break uh for listings and played around tari for a little bit i was trying to do some videos uh vertical just to see if it was any different we'll check youtube now youtube's been quiet as well because

i haven't been doing as much but i think i've come to a realization that pumping out thousands of videos really doesn't help anyway we're at three three thousand three hundred ninety four 3,394. So I've gone up a couple people. My revenue now is $26.36. So let's see. Views, 31. Probably was my Atari. Three models of Atari. So, yeah. Most of the views are 10, 20.

Not even, actually. 7, 6 views. 8 views, 7 views, 11 views. I get a few views for my podcast. But I like it because it also goes other places besides YouTube. So I've had a little bit of, like I said, yesterday I tried to do a video that I would post. It's vertical and I got a few more hits that way. As opposed to doing it, so vertical would give you the phone. So I had 28 views as opposed to if I do it horizontal vertical and I already do vertical live feeds which are gonna fix that one right now so it's just I think it has just has to do with people just watch things on their phone I'm not a phone guy so I'm not hardly ever on the I don't use it I don't know I don't really

use it at all for communicating I don't have anybody that calls me or anything like that. Kind of a lone wolf, as you can probably understand by now. So I don't sit on my phone and watch stuff at all. I don't quite get all that, but I try to put stuff out there that people can watch so it may be that i go away from wide out views of my full desk doing stuff to just vertical closer up shots to try to gain more uh views i think i'm not positive. All right, so I got to change. So, one did one live feed yesterday when I was playing around with Atari stuff. So, we need to put a thumbnail that's from that on.

So, when you get into live feeds, you get the thumbnail of your store image, which right now it's Santa Claus, which is a stove. But you can't do. I was playing. Space Invaders yesterday. It's a hard game.

And I was cheating and playing. Half the size of the thing. But that was fun though. So my 70. My light 6 still works. That I've tested. I have two other Ataris. The regular 2600s that worked.

One has a button issue, but still played the game. And then I have a smaller, the Junior 2600 that doesn't work. But I don't have the ribbon for it either. I need that ribbon to reset and turn it on

and all that stuff. Not turn it on, but just to reset it. And play the game. So I'll sell that one for parts. I just wanted to retest it. So I finally got to it yesterday. Alright so.

wake up kind of see what's going on for the day so I'm at so podcasts I didn't do one last night I was gone over the night I got tired so I'm at 50 I've done 53 podcast so far pretty

fun so let's see it has an analysis here I had two views to upload so it's have had 76 since I started doing it so that's kind of fun. And it kind of shows you. Around where people download it from. Plus it also goes out to. A couple of other feeds. Like Shopify and stuff. And supposedly there's other stuff you can add. Something new coming. That I can add to.

Try to monetize. Because none of this. Either the podcast. Or all my hours and thousands of videos on YouTube have monetized it all for me. But I guess it just is what it is. But I'm going to keep doing it because, like I said, it is my little escape.

It gets me a place to go when I get up in the morning. And maybe some people listen, so that would be cool. So to try to keep it up upbeat and positive as possible in a world that's just chaos all right so now we're on to ebay so everything up to that point so that's etsy i added that's my new routine now and my ground out day along with checking my youtube going to rss.com to see if I got any downloads. And now we're on to eBay. And I just see two things going on.

There was a time when it used to be like 10, 15 things going on per morning. Which I don't really miss all that rushing around trying to get all that stuff out but i kind of do miss the the sales so it's a catch 22 so let's see feedback for this morning coven when coven first came out boy my stall went crazy i was running like a maniac uh as described and well packed all those are my sega dreamcast uh controllers i gave that guy a good deal on that so that's cool um yeah colvin was crazy i was doing 30 things by the weekend and that was that's extremely a lot of parts for me. But now I'm down to like two or three per day.

Alright, so we've got two orders. Let's see what we've got here. And just a small, small, very small stuff. So screw sets, they give back. And luckily now I got them up a little bit higher price they're like around uh ten dollars per as opposed before i had that big sale going on until i figured out how to do a coupon that doesn't affect uh the smaller end although this one follow the oh i had i also have a five percent discount now so i ended my 50 discount on everything from i think it was 30 and up

and then now i transferred to 10 discount oh actually a 10 coupon i should say and then this and then an additional 5% discount and these are the ones I can do without eBay taking fees out there's other ones you can promote your coupons you can promote all kinds of stuff but then eBay just takes tons more money out of you and you're basically left with not much of anything so I had to nix all that because it just was counterproductive especially the ones

where you promoted your listings because I have like 900 listings so it was promoting each one and taking you know 10-20 cents or more off and I was like whoa where did it all just go so I said I'm out of that it'd be great I mean if eBay wants to help you promote stuff I was like, whoa, where did it all just go? So I said, I'm out of that.

It'd be great if eBay wants to help you promote stuff, but they just want to take more money. So it's tough. But we still keep looking for money here. Because I have to continue to work from home. I always have to. So I need to find ways to do it make it at some point I'll do it on my own that's gonna be where it's gonna be hard because I count on my mother's income as part of taking care of the house when the worst case scenario I'd have to sell everything and then just get something small for myself. Which is very possible. I don't know.

I was counting on. YouTube to. Offset some stuff but. I just don't see how it can. I don't know what else I could do. Per day. To be more interesting. To.

Get views. To make extra income. to be more interesting to get views to make extra income. And TikTok, I haven't really even tried to figure out. Although, so contact buyer. Oh, I had a case here too. Which was for a Beezle. funds are on hold I say never got it and they

must just keep this money back yeah made a decision which you just refused your you buy our return buyer shipped item so I'll have to get his done so both scissors was that PS4 Pro black plastic hard drive cover that he says a clip was broken on it so he's finally shipping it back so I'm gonna refund him get that done I didn't realize it was a clip broken on it missing pieces so he gets his money I always refund as soon as I see a return marked as shipped just to get it out of there just not gonna fight any sort of a return although sometimes I get some really weird stuff back but I just make videos out of them instead just flip it that way so I need to vent my frustration I can make a video on what buyers can return on you

so again two words so I find YouTube has been a very integral part of what I do just for me personally just and then that's before I decided to do these podcasts

and now I really enjoy those my early morning groundhog day yesterday i did windows for my because it's hard to really pick a system every single day because i run out of systems so yesterday we did a history of windows and i just set up a desktop I mean a laptop an old Dell with Windows XP and so far I'm able to play some Windows 95 games not really playing them I just want to be able to just check them out

so and then I learned yesterday about virtual machines and oh I want to go to Dreamcast today maybe and learn how to finish setting up I've got two things for that Dream Shell and all that. I have three discs that's got all the

SMC games. SMC files. And FIG I want to call it. I think it is. I found them random at one point and I still have them. I need to load them so I don't lose a copy. Which I'm going to do today.

I have a cool Acer Windows 7 computer. Small form that I really like. I want to build some virtual machines and stuff on that I think. Because now with AI I can just sit and ask it, and it just kind of gives you, gives me all the things I would have had to go on a search for. Now I can just get instantly

information on how to get started on anything I want to do. So that's a game changer for me. Alright, and then the second thing I sold was a Nintendo Wii Red battery compartment. With the battery. Red one. I used to sell lots of the white ones.

You know, a few bucks. Again, it's... You know it's a small thing with a battery. By the time I ship it, free shipping isn't free for me so that cost me $7 out the door therefore I sell it for 11 which is my minimum now but I have a 5% discount on the little guy stuff so you get a little bit off and I make a few bucks so those are the two orders I have so that gets about it for this morning let's see where we're at get these printed out and then I go out and I go take care of my buddies, all my little guys

all fresh water, food, all that, my bird so those guys get taken care of next I only have a couple orders so go from there I don't think I have any more returns now I have two returns coming back but they've been refunded so yeah that gives me about 20 about 21 minutes 25 minutes usually my uh routine is in the morning is about 20 minutes or so so that fits in good with uh this early morning uh podcast get you a quick overview of what i do pretty much each day i added ety now as another something to check on in the mornings.

And my RSS.com, which I'm going to go ahead and post this now. So it'll be up for a little bit. And I'll talk to you guys later on this afternoon. I'll pick something to do. It may not be a system. It could be, oh, I have another computer. Lots of vintage computer stuff I'm into. So I've got some Euro vintage computer stuff that's really fun.
