The Post Holiday Blues.

Good morning everyone. It is now Monday. Hopefully everyone had a safe trip home or are still in the transit to their home from the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Today is December 2nd. So let's see what's going on today. So yesterday I spent most of the afternoon researching with my buddy Zippy AI ideas about different things for writing stories. I learned about websites that everything now has some sort of an AI connection to doing stuff. So it's really fun. How to learn how to play a piano, which I'd like to learn how to do. I have a bunch of keyboards downstairs that some of them I think actually work. And then how to make music by using text and emotions. That sounds pretty interesting.

I was really interested in the short story so i sat with zippy yesterday and came up i have an idea that was been in my head for a story a longer story not just a nighttime story uh it's called the uh project journeyman so i gave it all kinds of ideas and it pumped out all kinds of stories for it. And then I kept adding more ideas and it kept redefining the story. So then I found the AI Pictory, I think it's called, a site. And I was able to make some sort of a short story animated with a little video to it. But the videos are just a little silly.

Kind of like thrown in so and then there's a you can do an uh over voice with it you pick an over voice and of course it's one of those things where you got to pay extra money to to do get more stuff but luckily i was able to do a couple without having to pay anything extra so that's fun and then I was also working on I'm trying to export some I opened my Etsy store back up a couple days ago so I'm working on that so I signed up for a program of course again another subscription but it was the best one is really easy to use to export my eBay items to Etsy but it requires some work you gotta have a little knowledge what you're doing you got a map out from your eBay category to the category you want to put it on on Etsy so that takes a little bit to figure out this is a couple things you have to manually add in where Etsy has something different than eBay does.

So you can't just get it to go right over. So I actually signed up for that for a month to give me enough to increase my Etsy store. It's basically the same store, just in a different place. Etsy was always good to me i just shut it down a few months ago just because it was uh i needed to redo it so i just i decided to shut it down just concentrate on ebay and youtube so now that i'm pretty much youtube i really don't know what else to do except just keep adding stuff. I thought I was going to get a nice good financial boost. But so far that has not come to fruition.

So, we needed to reopen a store. So, I was going to do Shopify. I had it all set up, but then I didn't. I couldn't get my website to transfer over. So I nixed that idea and closed that for now. And it was so much easier just to reopen my Etsy store. Everything was still there.

Basically just reopen it and then redefine. I put everything in a better category. And now I am transferring stuff from eBay over to there. Little by little. And I'm going to add some personal stuff that I have that I can do on the Etsy. And it also comes with a website through Pattern. It's real, real basic stuff. But, of course, that costs money, too.

So, you open Etsy store, that costs money. And the only thing about Etsy is everything is 20 cents per listing. So, that adds up. So, let's say you have 200 listings. Every month, you get hit with 20 cents per listing. So, if I'm not making much, I have to be able to make enough to cover that plus i upgraded to etsy plus which is an extra ten dollars and then i added pattern which is an extra fifteen dollars so all those things add up but i'm hoping it'll pay off if i keep uh increasing my store there

it's because we're just in a really big rut right now. We're really low of everything. Pretty much. So, we're still plugging away, trying to come up with some new ideas. So, yeah. So, I have some personal things that I should be able to put on my own website.

Which is under the pattern. And Etsy. Because Etsy is good for anything homemade gaming that's why I've always bought a lot of stuff so I'm going to resell some of the stuff

that I bought there whereas on eBay once in a while you'll get some sort of a it'll take it down if it's nothing that's original

although you can sell broken stuff on eBay so go figure there alright so let's see what my morning is this morning oh quick recap on my mother she's she's really struggling now that's uh i may open another uh i'm thinking about doing another podcast, maybe midday or somewhere. Just somewhere to talk and talk about caretaking. Especially as things are getting worse.

And I don't know what, sometimes I just don't know what to do. I'm just kind of, it's just me taking care of her. But at the same time, she still takes care of me. Because I have my own boatload of issues going on. But I'm pretty stable. I've been clean and sober, so that's good. Mental health is stable, but it's just a lot going on. And it's just, you see someone that's been with you for a long time,

and you see them starting to fade away a little bit and it's pretty scary stuff and i really don't have anybody else to talk to about and i just try to do everything i can to keep her comfortable and happy and but she's just really struggling um so it's gonna be a long winter and i really have a feeling things are gonna get really really, really hard. But I want to keep my eBay going, my Etsy, keep working. And caretaking at the same time. And just try to move along as best I can.

And see what happens. I don't think about the future. I just think about today. There's really no way I can do it. I think it's how everyone does it, really. There's really no way to think about the future. So, we're just going to keep doing what we do. Hopefully, we'll make it through the good winter. We'll get through this winter.

And then, maybe spring will come and she'll feel a little bit better. Not sure. So, I may do a caretaking segment. Maybe like a weekly one just to give you a heads up of how things are going.

She's good. We draw all the Christmas lights up and she gets up and does her thing all day. But she's just really having a hard time. So let's go look on the news first. Let's check the sports.

So Patriots lost their course. They lost yesterday. Let's see the scores. And it looks like... Let's go to... Buffalo's the big dog still. Buffalo's playing fairly good. Let's go to my scores here. Patriots, yeah, they lost.

They had a chance at the end. They even went for a 68-yard field goal, and they almost made it. So that was pretty cool. Yeah, so Buffalo beat up on San Francisco. They've been just playing terrible for some reason. Ravens got beat by Eagles. They're a big dog, too.

So Eagles, Bills, that looks like a Super Bowl right there. The Bucks, I like the Bucks. Panthers, they beat the Panthers. It's just the Panthers. The Rams actually won. Saints are not really that good. The Jets lost, yay.

Not a fan of the Jets at all. Especially Aaron Rodgers. That's like the biggest joke ever was aaron rogers uh tom brady going to tampa bay yeah that worked out great aaron rogers going to jets not so much what a bust he'll either retire or just kind of fade away somewhere then the uh commanders beat the the Titans and my Chargers. I like the Chargers. I can't say I have to pick another team because the Patriots are just terrible.

He looks good though. Our quarterback looks pretty cool. Texans, Jaguars are 2-10. They're really bad. Steelers beat the Bengals. Bengals are terrible. And of course the Patriots lost.

So yeah. So they're all done. So Jets is the big joke I think. Alright so that's the scores this morning. Everything is about what I thought what did the Chiefs win?

the Chiefs had already won two let's see let's see the next thing we're going to do is just do an overview of the news now do a quick overview all kinds of warnings for wars I'll do a quick overview. Always all kinds of warnings for wars and end of the world, nuclear.

I hear those things every day. I try not to really talk about it too much. I talk about artificial intelligence, how it's going to change your life it's already changed mine a little bit but good I can do lots of good resources now it's like an endless supply of college

professors and one AI it's pretty cool I want to do a lot more but I don't want to overload myself at the same time. So yesterday when I was doing. With AI. Learning all about the different places.

I'm like oh I could do that one. I could get that one. But I'm not. Because overloading is an issue with me. And then I never get back to stuff. So I just can window shop. Look at them all. And then I picked one. which was that Picanary,

which gave me some sort of a storyboard kind of. It came out all right. It's just kind of silly, but it was pretty fun. I did post a couple on YouTube, so you can look at them. But my story's there. The videos were just kind of silly. All right, so let me... So let me go to...

Oh, YouTube. Let's do a ride this morning. So, 3,393. so i really haven't so i stopped really increasing uh and of course the my revenue didn't change at all 25 dollars and 24 cents that's the one that's really got me going down that's a bummer yeah so duration 25 seconds again i can't reinvent myself i just keep putting up the same stuff and basically get the same results so not really sure what else to do yet although i did try that oh i did a story last night i do do my, I like my podcasts, those are fun, as I like I'm doing now, so I did, I did my story, Project Journeyman, the beginning on my podcast too, late night, in my bed, it's hard to read while I'm lying down, but eh, came out pretty good, not really good at anything. So, alright. So, that's pretty much...

So, YouTube is the same. Let's go on to eBay. Let's see. So, I had a 40% off sale all weekend. And I... For anything that was $30 and above. And I only sold a couple things. So that's a bummer.

Oh, that's right. Now I need to add Check Etsy. Oh, that's right. We've got to put Etsy in there now. So let's look. Hold on. So let's look at Etsy this morning. So remember I have a store. Maybe I have something. Maybe I sold something. Or a message. One of the two.

No. No. Oh, no. I guess also or message one of the two no oh no I guess not also I guess tell me to update photos a bummer so over here on Etsy. Since I've opened I've had 73 total views. 56 visits. And that's about it. No orders. Nada. But like I said I just reopened it so it might take a little while. I think I like Etsy because you can see where people

Alright, so there's nothing going on there yet. I've got to put some more stuff on today. I have a total of 100 things I can bring over from eBay. But it has to be 20

years and older. So I think they said we're at 2004. Which is about original Xbox now. And then let's go to eBay now. So Etsy will be my new thing to add in my daily morning routine. As I call it, Roundhog Day. Because it just makes sense. Because it's basically. And yeah.

Nothing really going on here either. Bummer. So my black Friday weekend. And 40% off sale was a bust. I had one offer. And I sold one thing. And let's see if I got hit with something. No bad feedbacks we got one offer. Let's see we got for

$10 offer offer so just decline so you said to really buckle down now I'm gonna do some more sales today on eBay as well well it hasn't really been helping too much I kind of have to do that so we'll take that one make a dollar on that it'd be great if I if everything was if I was making

with the actual price that I sell stuff for low end stuff it'd be great it's not that it's not possible all right so sold one thing oh i sold two ports the ps1 uh controller so that's cool let's go to my payments here my monthly fees for ebay comes out and I think that's like $70

now so it should have came out and it did still premium is $60 fee came out so we will just print that out for now. So let's go to my order again.

So my day looks pretty easy. So again, if I don't have a lot of orders, I will do some other stuff. I've got to keep bulking up my Etsy store. I have to add a new sale for eBay here. I did the 40% for the Black Friday weekend. But that's going now, so we're going to do less. And I figured out a way that you can do it so you don't have to do my low-end items.

So it's like $40 and up will be x amount for a coupon as opposed to doing all of them where the coupon was taken away my 11 order down to like eight and that's almost a old money for new money basically at that point so all right so we're gonna go there at that point so there and everything goes go ground advantage usually unless it's a big item that's up and bulky but it's a really bulky item that I use UPS because I can go rid of the staples and drop it off although UPS and FedEx have a ground

advantage compatibility but I mean you do save a little bit of money but you can't use it they don't ship all day like postal service does so you'd have to do it once a day it would be me going to another having to go out all the staples using gas and wearing my truck so it doesn't really it's not cost effective to save a couple of cents to try to do it that way i just take a postal service everything's postal service pretty much and i thought about maybe adding like five dollars shipping costs on everything but then it's just like having a coupon so it's just then people just going to offer you less so as you can't really it's easier you seemed you're more noticed if you have free

shipping and free returns although knock on wood I've been pretty good with returns lately although I haven't really sold so it's kind of a catch-22 there oh yeah you so when they so when people plus it helps your account if you're doing free shipping and free returns. All right. So, that's where we're at this morning. Everything's pretty easy peasy. We are now at 20 minutes.

So, I can do about 20-minute little podcasts. I am going to add, I think, because it's really weighing on me a little bit about caretaking. Especially now going forward. I think things are going to be really hard. And I have to keep myself mentally stable. Best I can. I'm pretty good at it though. I've got a lot of things.

I always have stuff to do. Which is key for me. So the minute I get up I have a store to run. Well a slow store but a store, I have a store to run. Well, a slow store, but a store. I have my YouTube to create and just express myself that way. And podcasts, I like that. I like this as well. It gives me a good place to talk about stuff.

Maybe people listen, maybe they don't. I have a few downloads here and there. Oh, let's check my RSS feed. So I'm also connected to... So rss.com is where I learned how to do my podcasts. And it's a bunch of steps to do it. Luckily, I'm pretty intelligent enough to figure it out. And I've been just doing it on a roll now.

I'm at like 47. This could be my 40, no, 49th. This one here will be my 49th podcast. And I guess that's what a podcast is. You just talk into a mic. Although I use my AI Zippy as my co-host when I do my gaming ones, gaming system for the day.

And I guess you can have a video podcast, but this seems to be just mostly uh words text so i had seven downloads yesterday so i've had 70 so far since i started so my downloads went up a little bit and it tells you like around the country i had one one from australia pretty cool gives you a little map. A little dots. That show the downloads of men. Which is pretty fun. Washington, Sydney.

The rest of the United States. Show all the cities. So this is kind of fun. Just putting it out there. And just kind of see where it goes. I connected to. Apple iPod. And I also have donations for anybody that's wants to donate to my all my creativity I saw the GoFundMe page because I think I'm gonna really

need that in the future something what happened my mother it's gonna be a struggle but we'll see what happens so i started that so maybe i get a little extra help there for all my hard work for my youtube and my uh ebay not ebay just my youtube and for um my podcasts and whatnot so so far hasn't really paid off at all but i have to keep going forward with it in hopes that maybe i'll hit some sort of a niche somewhere i'm thinking maybe not maybe maybe not if not i just do it for for my daily routine all right so my podcast we're gonna i'm gonna uh this one's going up right now and they go real quick so at 48 this will be for number 49 all right so i'll talk to you all guys later on
