Good morning everyone. It is now 5.15 a.m. So it's today Friday. Oh, I think it's it's the 2. Oh, it's actually Valentine's Day.
So that's pretty cool for all those people that with the Valentine's. I was looking at they were saying roses gotten more real expensive as well as eggs. Somebody was comparing roses and eggs and how expensive. Which one would you buy?
It was on the news. Would you rather get the
roses or eggs for Valentine's Day?
That's the only weird thing they were doing.
It was kind of funny.
Eggs are just going to go crazy.
I don't see any end in sight
on that deal.
So yesterday I
spent some time on my
two European systems. the Amiga 500.
We pulled it all apart.
I ordered some upgrades because I had learned about it.
So I got a Kickstart 2.04 coming in for it. Added a little bit better processor just by 6810 with P12.
So it'll still only run at P8.
So we'll get that.
So just a little bit.
I can't afford to do a lot.
But there's lots of significant other mods I can get for that.
And most of it I can just replace.
Everything's socketed. So if everything's socketed so if it's
socketed then i can replace stuff and mod it not upgrade it not really mod it but and then in the
future maybe i'll get some sort of an accelerator those are really pricey but for now just just a
couple little things i just want to retest games and see what games may work may not and then i went on to my atari um 1040 stf
uh i went inside there took it all apart pretty cool completely different the style the layout
is kind of the same as the uh amica and same with the uh commodore 128 all three of them are kind
of the same style uh so inside of my atari it was completely different uh mostly everything is
soldered uh there is kickstart is the os to start up the system on the omega it's not it's on a rom chip
on the atari it's called ttos tos uh so there was an upgrade i could do the only thing i really
could do so i ordered a rainbow tos 1.4 which i found out there's another one TOS 1.04
and basically they are
the same. It's a 6 chip
set.
So it'll fix a little
be a little better performance.
Besides
that there was nothing else on the board I could
upgrade. The CPU
I had gotten 2 from China.
Thinking that would be the same one that was on there
but it's not.
It's the same 6800
but it's much
longer and it's
soldered.
All the memory is soldered and I think this might be
at 4 megabytes.
It starts out at 1 meg.
So I have to remember how many megs is on that one
so that's probably i could do that so i spent the day uh the morning the afternoon just playing
around between those two was a couple two or three hours and then today at the end of the day my two
i've got these really cool mini scribe hard drives.
It's like an ISA card and a hard drive all in one. So I can put those on some of my Tandy's,
which is where they're all gonna go.
I don't know if the two that came in work.
So I have two mini scribes, one I found in one of my SX's,
and two I just got in.
They were kinda priceyy but not too bad.
If they work, it would be great.
If they don't, then I'm kind of out of luck on it.
But we're going to learn how to set them up.
I had asked my buddy Zippy how to set them up at one point.
I have to use a debug disk in DOS to set those up.
So we're going to learn how to redo that.
It's not like a plug and play.
Especially way back then.
You have to
turn on the...
One of them has a Westin Digital
board attached to it. The other one has a different board.
It says
BIOS board so that may actually
identify it. So we'll see.
They're all different see they're all different
so they're all fun it's really a cool attachment for those old things i didn't even know they
existed until i pulled one out and then i went hunting around to find some other ones
so i've got a couple now so eventually right now all my computers uh all my tandy 1000s i have
four or five of them all the different different models, and they're all apart.
And nothing's really together or anything yet.
So I'm just kind of learning about them.
Now that I have my buddy Zippy, I can sit there and talk about it.
I can just type any chip number in and kind of figure out what the chip is and stuff like that.
So it's really helped me out learning about early vintage computing.
Of course, I wanted to go right to the very, very beginning.
My TRIC is what I grew up on, the Model 1.
And then I even have a model earlier than that one.
I have a monitor.
So that's where I wanted to start, way in the beginning. And then you kind of build your way up.
I don't plan on learning anything about anything newer board wise. But at least if I can
learn how the early
boards work, it's pretty fun.
I really enjoy it.
So I'm actually more into the vintage computing
these days than I am gaming.
Gaming I just kind of took a back seat. I sell stuff
all the time. And we'll always talk about
gaming of course. But
vintage computing is
real fun
these days. Okay, so let's see what's going on
in the world.
Andy Reid told a step down.
Jesus.
It's a football game. Someone's going to win.
Someone's going to lose. They lost.
They were in the Super Bowl
four times in the last
four years. That's pretty darn good.
Instead of saying we
how you didn't do good and she say all the times you did good but it's not the
way it works I guess readers readers are gonna be interesting this year Pete
Carroll's with the Raiders that's really exciting I like Pete Carroll big fan so so let's see what else we got going on
it discovers a new planet
Neptune
so it's like
we have dual
representatives for the government now
which is very interesting
but change is good, though.
I think we needed a good change.
It's just like I thought. It's going to be
significant. It's already
really crazy.
It's only going to get crazier.
Alright, so nothing
really in the news except for
kind of government stuff
and wild
changes and things of that nature.
Alright.
So let's go to.
Etsy.
I'm waiting.
Still waiting for some more.
I think I might have one order on Etsy.
I do.
Cool.
I can do that order.
It is the Nintendo GameCube
the front port
with matching memory flaps.
So
we'll get that
out today.
So I've had a few orders
since the
problem and I haven't
not heard anything.
Or have I seen a negative feedback at this point we'll see what's gonna go on with that all right so oh I
did get a return and so I need to do that because I stopped I used to refund
returns as soon as they were shipped but now I just gotten aggravated with the returns lately this one is I've selling we motherboards oh one two or three oh I just ship met
random whatever I have the guy never contacted me he wanted oh one I didn't
have any more but I didn't know that I just shipped him an oh two so he
returned it so and you know for me it's a wasted round trip of shipping costs so
now I just wait till they come in make
sure i get back what what's mine before i refund and then i had a second guy who uh
has a we know it's a dreamcast version two point uh va 2.1 motherboard uh he he said he ordered
the wrong one so he's returning that too
so these guys the round trip returns on me so it's a bummer but it's part of selling so i have to
i don't luckily it doesn't happen too often because a round trip like that is at least
almost 15 my cost almost up to 20 lose. And they get it refunded.
So I get nothing and I'm negative.
So that's a really bummer.
Alright so let's go to RSS feed here.
Try not to complain too much.
It's kind of part of.
Having the podcast.
And my.
All my videos.
I use my YouTube as my outlet
for
returns and any kind of
trouble.
Alright, so analysis.
Let's see what we've had. We just had one download.
So I still have 375 downloads
since I started this.
Pretty fun.
Just a couple places around. Lindale,
Ashboro, Liverpool,
pretty cool, Dallas, Downey.
I was going to do a podcast midday,
but I just got into taking apart
those other two systems,
so I didn't get in.
But we'll pop some in there,
here and there.
All right, so...
All right, so now we're going to go to YouTube.
Let's see what we're at.
So I promoted a couple more $5 promotions.
So we're at 18,176 subscribers.
Let's see.
If we had any no messages.
The average duration is down to 35 seconds.
So just a few people coming in for a little bit.
Amiga 500.
So I believe.
So it's 27 views.
On one thing I was doing.
Which was my.
Oh that was the.
Of my cards that came in.
So I had a couple views on that.
So that's pretty cool.
So let's see what else we got going on here.
On YouTube. This morning. so let's see what else we got going on here on youtube this morning uh my review hours have
gone down a little bit oh i did i just hit a new milestone which is because i like new milestones
uh one one million two hundred thousand views so i always say if i could at least make if i
could at least made a penny per view, that would have been wonderful.
But no.
So, oh, and we'll hit the obvious.
Oh, I went up to $30.32 now on my YouTube.
And I believe I still not have hit.
I thought I hit $100.
So at least I would get paid $100.
But I set it all up with the bank and everything.
So I can get my deposit.
It's at the end of the month.
Yeah.
And it said it was only at $76.
So I don't know where it all goes.
But it doesn't go to me.
That's for sure.
All right.
So let's go to eBay.
eBay was kind of.
I had some pretty good sales needed.
Thank goodness.
Oh, yeah, the Wii motherboard.
I'm going to have to do that.
Oh, I was also looking at my power supply for IBM 5155.
Of course, I have known nothing about trying to fix it.
I pulled the component off that I thought maybe was an issue,
and then I realized once I pulled it off that it was not.
So,
it still has a component there.
It looked green like it popped,
but it wasn't.
It was like green paint.
So I really pulled it for no reason.
So eventually I'll sell that.
There is a 5155 on auction, but I'm I really pulled it for no reason. So eventually I'll sell that. There is a $51.55 on auction.
But I'm sure it'll go for a lot.
Alright, so we gotta
do some
do some deposit there.
Let's see what's going on
with my messages.
Let's check feedback.
As described,
quick shipping. Oh, that was that power supply.
Real expensive power supply I shipped.
I'm sure it worked.
Oh,
I took a, I sold it
for a lot less than I wanted to sell it for, but
I kind of had to
sell it, so.
Let's see what's going on on messages here.
Oh, oh yeah, so. Let's see. So. Let's see what's going on. On messages here. Oh.
Oh yeah.
So.
Let's see.
Return.
Refund issue.
Item delivered.
$25.
For.
Which one is that one?
Oh the exact one.
Let's see what this one is my other
my other
offer is $12
on the glossy
yes we'll just take these two offers
so $12
for
the front cover
glossy side cover
for the
they're really scratched up so so we'll
take that again $12 for this by the time I ship it cost me almost nine so I mean
that make like three bucks all right so we'll go back to the other guy $25
and this is for the
Nintendo Wii U
gamepad motherboard
so one without
oh is it one with the soldered speakers
one with the soldered speakers
on it so there's two different versions inside
the Nintendo GameCube pad
motherboard one the original one
had the soldered speakers that attach to it and then after that they made ones the
motherboard is basically the same just with detachable speakers What does that mean? I had some sort of weird issue there. Hold on.
Providing quantity not available.
It's giving me an error for some reason.
I'm not sure why that is.
I'll have to come back to that.
Offer of $12.
$12. $12.15.
Front panel.
Log scratches.
Yeah, I guess we'll just do that too.
It's the Xbox 360 Fat.
It's the white front panel.
I think I have a couple left that are intact so when these when a buyer does an
offer like this basically just takes the few dollars i would have made away so it kind of
really stinks but i have to have best offers and some days i won't take any offers because i just
don't feel like it because why do it if i'm only gonna make a dollar or two instead of making four dollars
and then other days uh I'd like today I just feel like doing it my bad top
and then this guy's asking about uh three pieces for the B one Да. ok so I'm talking to this guy about
the three pieces. Okay. All right. all right so trying to communicate this guy it's how to communicate some people because
they just assume that i know what they they want and this guy's asking about the ps3 fat
the model b has a different top cover than the Model A or the Model E,
all three of those being backwards compatible.
But A and B use the same motherboard, the COK-001,
which is the true backwards compatible, and it has the EE chip for PS2.
The Model E is a COK-002 motherboard that emulates the PS2,
and lots of games don't play on it but on the on the a and
b but the top cover of the b is different it doesn't have the cartridge slot so
um i gotta figure what happened with this i'm just gonna decline it then if i can't get it to go
i think it was just a couple of orders and that's enough for now.
So I declined.
I was probably going to take it, but for some reason I have some sort of an issue.
I don't know why.
So I'll just decline it and then just move on.
I'm not sure where it is right this second anyway.
Well, I think I know where it is.
So it gives me a couple orders on
eBay here
what else is something else
oh
oh so he took it anyway
maybe that's why
oh that's why it declined it
so he purchased it at the price
that was my problem
cool
so there was no quantity because he already bought it awesome So he purchased it at the price. So that was my problem. Cool.
So there was no quantity because he already bought it.
Awesome.
Alright, so let's see what else we got here.
I sold it. So everything else shipped out yesterday.
So that's my morning.
I'm sticking to it.
Lots of stuff later on this afternoon.
We're going to go to Intellivision 2. I've stuff to go through in a television one I'm gonna retest stuff and then get
ready to start listing some stuff but before I do that I think I have a little
bit of Commodore I mean uh Coleco broken controllers I have a good Coleco
motherboard power supply to sell so I'm gonna do a little bit good Coleco motherboard power supply to sell. So I'm going to do a little bit of Coleco.
Some more Atari 5200 controllers.
And, oh, I found some other Atari 5200 games.
The Last Starfighter, which is nothing like the movie.
The movie's really cool.
It's called The Last Starfighter.
Classic 70s, no, 80s or 90s movie.
I had those two games to sell
I just remembered I had them
so I'm going to list those
and those were
I remember buying paint a lot
when I was going to collect stuff
but it didn't last long
I kind of breezed through stuff
I mean I get it, look at it, take it apart
do all kinds of stuff like that and then resell it
I'm a breezer, I'm not a collector.
Pretty much.
So.
A couple things I did keep.
So I'm going to resell those too.
So we'll put some more stuff on.
Another good eBay listing day.
I can feel it.
I have to get motivated to do it.
It's a grind.
To get things listed.
And I have to do it my way.
And that takes a little bit longer
but it adds more details including videos and stuff so but first thing we'll do is a video
on this return we'll open it up make sure it's what i got and then we'll refund this guy
all right so you guys have a good afternoon and i'll talk to you later all right bye
