Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning everyone. It is now 6-22 on February 7th, 2025. We had a little bit of snow and turned over to mixed yuck yesterday. But we are getting more. February is going to be more of a busy snow month for us here in Rhode Island. We're expecting a significant, well, maybe six inches Saturday night into Sunday. And then a couple of more shots at a little bit of snow midweek next week. So February should be a pretty snowy month. But we're still way behind the bubble when it comes to the amount of snow. We hardly had any in January.
Starting point is 00:00:43 Or we had nothing in Decembercember nothing really in january so we'll see what february brings and the exciting part is once we get past that then we can start talking spring already which would be exciting march madness all that fun stuff so it's right around the corner so we're getting to this last part of the winter here. Technically, it'll probably go, it still stays cold until April, really. You don't really see summer until July, so. Spring's really from April to June. That's, to me, that's spring, and then July is from, and then summer's July through, like, September.
Starting point is 00:01:23 So yesterday. My buddy had passed away. My buddy Brownie. Really sad. Really bummed out. So we found a place. A box. Nice box for him.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Put a couple of his toys. Because they always had toys inside their cage. So I put a couple of his toys in there for him. And I boxed him up. And we're going to get him buried. maybe today or tomorrow so i was really bummed out and then also what i did is i there was that big cage that i've used forever for for both of them i pulled all that out of there took that out uh put it outside and under storage i have some overhang storages that used to be carports in the front of the house so whole carports uh saga you can watch that
Starting point is 00:02:05 tell me we take them all down that we're in the front my front driveway it was really it was awesome setup it was so cool uh but i put him in the back so i found a better place for him in the back so that whole uh it was a rabbit cage first for a rabbit i had that i got at a yard sale and then he passed away and then i decided to get a guinea pig. And then I got a second one, which was Mr. Brownie in my buddy's spot. So that cage was taken out. It's been in my house for four or five years. I took that out, made more space.
Starting point is 00:02:39 I put my buddy's spot, the other guinea pig now, he's in a smaller cage. But I have another little play pen thing i can let him out every couple days let him run around a little bit uh so he's got a much smaller cage but it's a good cage for him and uh i made more space in our area uh because we know how a lot of that cage was taking up a lot of space. It really was. But I've kept it because it was just fun. I enjoy all my little guys. But they've kind of whittled away down now. So one time I had a whole bunch of them. I had like four little guys and my two guinea pigs and a couple birds.
Starting point is 00:03:17 But now I'm down to just a bird. My one guinea pig spot. And all my other hamsters I had they all passed away maybe a year year and a half while you get out of each one of them and now i have my little rocket he was really young so i think he'll be around for a little while he's just a little mini little i call him little pocket rocket he's a little peanut so i have him now uh so i just have those three guys so i cleaned up that took me half of the day to clean all that up, move stuff around.
Starting point is 00:03:48 I get up early because I go to bed early. I go to bed at 4.30 at night, 5 o'clock. It just works for me. Being clean and sober, the best way to do is to get ready in nighttime. Just cut it out. That way you don't even have to worry about it because that's usually when all the bad stuff happens at nighttime from investing for drinking
Starting point is 00:04:03 and all that good stuff. So I cut my night out. I go to bed at 4 30 i have some sleep medicine i take it's called remeron i used to take trazodone either one will help you sleep get you rich sleep and then i get up real early 4 35 o'clock although i slept in a little bit. 6 o'clock. So I spent most of the day on that. And then I was looking at. Oh my laptop came in. I got one local. And then I got a second one. A Toshiba.
Starting point is 00:04:36 It actually powers on. It's stuck at the logo screen. My other one I had. Just gotten in. Didn't power on at all. So I've got two different issues. So maybe at some point I can figure out one of them. I think the hard drive that was in, the one I got local had a hard drive and RAM.
Starting point is 00:04:53 The one that I got on eBay had neither. So I tried swapping both of those over, and I get the logo screen, but I'm not getting it further. Although the hard drive ide hard drive sounds like it's not working so i'm going to look into some sort of a sata adapter or something or some sort of a other other kind of a card to put in there so that's a project and then finally uh at the end of the day i have a big box that came came in. And it is my IBM 5153 monitor. It's really expensive. Broke it down into four payments so I could afford it.
Starting point is 00:05:32 I use that Carlin or Carmen or whatever it's called. I've been using that forever. It works out really well. So I can get something that's a significant amount, break it into four payments. And then after I do that that i can go on to get something else uh so we're gonna uh we're gonna open that box up it's a big box it seems like i'm sure it's pretty safe in there it's about the size of the box i used when i sent my uh radio shack uh model forehead that got damaged just wasn't big enough bummer but hopefully the
Starting point is 00:06:07 monitor is fine and then we can pull on my ibm i just have one well actually i have a 5150 uh that should work for this monitor and there is a 5151 monitor that's not color but i upgraded a little bit and got to 5153 so all vintage computing stuff real early like this you have to have the correct monitors for it it's a real pain same with apple apple's just as bad if not worse getting a monitor that is compatible with ever whatever apple you find there's no all-knowing monitor especially in the early early days. As it got newer, then it was all VGA, so that was pretty much simple. But in the beginning, it was RGB, RCT, and all that other RNT and all that other stuff. And just because you have an RGB doesn't mean it's the RGB that's going to work.
Starting point is 00:06:59 So my Tandy CM-11 would not work for the IBM. So now we have an IBM monitor. And at some point, I will sell the set, the 5150 with the monitor. But no, I won't ship it. It's not possible. I'll look for some sort of local computer fair. I've got some other Apple and monitors sets that i want to sell but i only local for either a pickup of some sort of some sort of a uh a computer fair where i can set up a booth and bring some of my stuff that
Starting point is 00:07:33 i've collected and sell it uh i just want to play around for a little while and then i'll resell it all all right so let's get a look at this morning so we're gonna open that box up uh i've got a strap that i use it goes around my shoulder it's a body strap and then it holds my phone so therefore i can do uh live action uh video so we'll do that later i'm not gonna do it as a live feed i'm just gonna do it as a as a as a video but it holds my phone right in front right in front of me i can do it vertical no actually it's vertical yeah no horizontal it holds it horizontal so we'll uh do that later on all right let's see what's going on here this morning over to etsy oops i got a message that usually can be good or bad usually that means something's either not right.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Let's find out. Message. Hi, do you have the lid magnet for the Sega Model 20? Also, yes. Oh, this is that same guy. Yes. Yes. I have one, two, three, four, five. I think I have six, 2, 3, 4, 5
Starting point is 00:08:45 I think I have 6 complete tops tops not yet listed or any of those parts
Starting point is 00:09:02 yet so she's talking to say your Sega CD I had to actually refund this guy because I didn't I couldn't find the exact one that I had listed and it was in better shape than then the one it and the only ones I had were not as in good as good shape as the one that was in the listing. And it was only one because it's the 4201A. Which is completely different on the bottom to the 4210. Therefore, I only had one other one.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I actually had two. But they were... So I had to refund them because I couldn't send them that exact one that he saw pictured. And he wanted it. So he's contacted me again about other parts so that's cool so at least I gotta uh even though I had to refund him but you know what you don't want to do is send him something that's not as pictured unless I don't say if I say exactly like if I'm doing a listing for an exact one it's because it has some sort of an issue or there's something I want to point out if i'm doing volume of listings
Starting point is 00:10:05 more than one then the main photo would not be the exact one and i wouldn't say exact this one i had in his exact bottom and i didn't have it anymore i think i sold it by accident or somehow so uh therefore i needed to tell the seller i don I'm the buyer, I don't have this one. Show them other ones I do have. Oh, yeah. I just woke up. I just woke up. I will work on listing some CD parts here on Etsy later today. I was going to Sega CD anyway
Starting point is 00:11:07 because I'm going to start listing motherboards. I tested them through and now I found my Sega CD games and I can I'll be working on listing some better games. Let's see. So it was on my list
Starting point is 00:11:24 in actually one more thing for atari 5200 and then we're going on to sega cd meaning i'm going to do motherboards broken or not uh top covers bottom covers all that kind of stuff and etsy already got jump stop because i already have listings so i can easily just swap put new pictures so so that guy replied as soon as i typed in i so i'm up doing my orders and opening my store why other people are up at six o'clock in the morning uh worried about a sega cd uh magnet is beyond me but they are so that's why i always reply as soon as i get up because there's a guy on the other end that's waiting for me to reply to him even at six o'clock in the morning and then he's gonna reply back and
Starting point is 00:12:11 he wrote can you show me something dude i just woke up i didn't do it anyway the second i replied that's about as far as i got all right so let's go to rss feed i did not do any system yesterday midday because i had all my other stuff going on so i'm just kind of i'll come up with something it's not going to be every day now because i just can't really come up with ideas in the morning i'll always have my uh early mornings you can check out what i'm doing with ebay and orders and all that stuff if you want to come in, check it out. I'll do that. I definitely will do that every morning. I just had
Starting point is 00:12:50 one download yesterday, so my downloads have gone down. But I will come up with some more creative ideas, gaming related, as we go forward here. But for right now, I'm only going to do again I haven't thought of what to do for
Starting point is 00:13:07 a mid afternoon one yet I may go to vintage computing for a while and talk about some of that stuff early TRS-80s and Tandy's and all that I'm going to get a run down on how they run, the boot up
Starting point is 00:13:23 what kind of CPUs in them and all that good stuff so we'll probably do that for a little while that's what i'm thinking but i like to keep something that's gaming related so we'll figure how to integrate something gaming as well all right so let's go on to youtube oh i went to 17 000 still growing and i still promoting five dollars so I'm down to like a little five dollar I did a ten dollar one saying goodbye to my buddy I didn't show him he was in the cage I was showing the cage where my mr. spies in brownies so we had if I spoke if I spy do a promotion even of $5, comparing satellite, oh, so I was comparing the satellite 2595 CDS that came in the mail to the 2595X DVD that I had. And if I promote it, even for $5, I get at least 389 views, which is a lot.
Starting point is 00:14:24 If I don't, I'll get like five. No, I'll get more like 25, maybe 30. So, so I got, plus I also got a lot of views for my, uh, goodbye to my buddy, Mr. Brownie. Um, 99% of all my i was doing nintendo gamecube the other day too so i got some views there so my promotion i mean my subscribers is going up to 17 166 uh my revenue is going up a little bit 28 to 46 cents but i've never seen it go higher than $30. It's really strange. It's like, oh, no, you can't get to $30, and I think I'm going to get there, and then it goes down. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:15:14 And I still have not made, I finally finished my whole setup for payment, bank and all that, and then I realized it said I only had $70. Somewhere it said I had $106. So I've almost just about given up to think that in any way, shape or form that YouTube will help me income-wise. I don't know how other people do it. I'm consistently uploading stuff too. So we'll do a video later.
Starting point is 00:15:44 I just do it as a video because i was just doing them anyway uh i just got overexcited when i thought once i got to monetize i was gonna have an extra income but that overexcitement has crashed and burned pretty hard so uh we're trying to try to get over that so i'm working on my eBay and my Etsy. All right, so speaking of eBay, let's go see what's going on today. Oh, I sold a big part yesterday. I've been putting a lot more of, oh, nine potential things going on here. A lot more, and it's really helped me out, vintage computing parts. But the hardest stuff to find. Like I did really good with my, especially if it's really helped me out uh vintage computing parts but but the hardest stuff to find like i
Starting point is 00:16:26 did really good with my uh especially if it's an apple the apple color classic i sold some good parts off of that yesterday was the power board it's a big bulky board i sold it for a lot less now would have liked to try to get for it but i was happy for it what the order was and it went all over to california and of course all my orders have already been already shipped out and But I was happy for what the order was. And it was going all the way to California. And of course all my orders have already been shipped out. And that's done. So now I'm on to my next day. Which is this morning.
Starting point is 00:16:55 So we'll see what's going on. Go to messages. Let's see. It's like something's got retracted. Meaning buyer will make an offer and then retract it. Agua, and people sometimes contact me in Spanish. I'm not,
Starting point is 00:17:13 I don't speak Spanish. English, please. You always have to contact the buyer, I mean the seller, in the language that he speaks or they speak. I mean, I can easily google translate it but English please
Starting point is 00:17:29 he's asking if the board works I bet so I put English please alright so we had an offer for $10 and that's definitely not it's for the side panel and it's the green one for the halo.
Starting point is 00:17:47 And first. Even if it was the white one. I would still decline it. Because it's going to cost me. $12 to ship that. And he's in California. So that's a heck no. I'm not selling it for $10.
Starting point is 00:18:00 It would cost me $12. Therefore I'd have to pay him $2 to ship it. And that ain't happening. PowerBook 150 for $15 looks like a motherboard that's definitely a heck no anything Apple this is the PowerBook 150
Starting point is 00:18:20 motherboard I have it for $65 he wants $15 and that's a heck no so 99.9 percent of the time i decline offers and i don't do any counters ever because it's just a waste of time for me and the buyer it's a pretty basic concept if you sent me a really really low offer i just decline it and most times i never hear back from buyers because they just try to see if they can some buyers will just take something really low I don't I'll take a few bucks
Starting point is 00:18:50 off or controllers joysticks it's half off now gonna stick off I think it's half of what I'm looking for I don't want to deal with it and then that's usually the last time I'll hit from and I can use some offers here and once this one's not too too bad but I'm gonna skip not sure where it is actually
Starting point is 00:19:13 um this one Apple color classic $20 speakers $30 I'm gonna decline that one too it's too low it comes in a box and everything so I'm going to decline that one too. It's too low. It comes in a box and everything. I'm just declining stuff today. I sold a couple things yesterday. So that's only what it does do is even if I decline it tells me that there's interest.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Most things I list there's some interest somewhere. So these all got these all got these all got looks like retracted meaning the buyer will make a list of offer and then he'll retract it and normally the offer was really really low
Starting point is 00:19:55 anyway so I would have declined it anyway so it was kind of really silly it was like he did it twice, the same thing I don't understand that he offered it a, the same thing I don't understand that he offered it a few dollars less I wouldn't have sold it for that and then he retracted it twice
Starting point is 00:20:12 oh my goodness, the things I wake up to alright, let's see where we're at now, I think so I have two orders, after all that and let's see my feedback we'll do business again, thank you, what was that for So I have two orders after all that. And let's see my feedback. We'll do business again. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:20:28 What was that for? I always check every feedback that comes in. So I want to see. And my IBM. So we're going to go print out my orders. Xbox One X77 bottom case. No rubber feet. We'll do business again so that's cool
Starting point is 00:20:47 and then I had two orders one of my two orders here um definitely I could have accepted half of those offers and had a whole bunch of offers but just small little ones
Starting point is 00:21:03 one's a the logo for the N64 the top cover it one's a the logo for the n64 the top cover it pops off the front logo for the n64 which is uh um and then my second order so just two small quick orders and the second order is for uh i just did some of the other day yesterday 10 bottom screw ps2 fat uh there's the original 10 bottom screw meaning there's actually 10 bottom screws on the bottom uh with all the caps uh that's one set and then after that so there was three motherboards for those the 004 005 but the original ones are kind of similar than the 006.
Starting point is 00:21:47 And they're like little double-stacked motherboards. And they have little teeny power boards on top. Those were the 10-bottom screw of the originals. After that, all of them went to 8-bottom screws. And the 8-bottom screws is 4 long and 4 short. And then, you know, the 4 pads and then the 4 caps. On the 10-bottom screw, however, it's only two long. And then there's eight of the shorts. And then there's the four pads and the rest are caps.
Starting point is 00:22:15 And then finally, there's the 5000 model that has one different screw, but it's still eight-bottom screw. It's a little fun fact there. So I sold a 10 bottom screw cap set. Not the 8. So again, it's too short. 8 long. I mean, too long, 8 short. And then the regular caps.
Starting point is 00:22:37 4. 4 pads. And then 2 extra caps. So that's my sales for today. As of now. I declined all the other orders, which was like six orders. But there were some of them were really low.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Alright, so that's my morning. I'm going to stick to it, and then we'll go on to... Oh, I'm going to go out and pull apart my IBM. The box came in late last night, but I wasn't getting into it until this morning.
Starting point is 00:23:05 All right, so I'll talk to you guys later on. All right, have a good day. Thanks. Bye.
