Unboxing Then Setting up My Switch 2 from Best Buy at Regular PriceNintendo Switch 2

Good morning, everyone. It is now 6.14 a.m. Today is August 15th, 2025. And Friday. It's Friday today. It's the last day of the work week for everyone out there. My days are always a work week pretty much. But it's a fun work week. And I work from home and I'm my own, and I'm my own boss. So that's pretty awesome. It makes it a little bit easier. Actually, makes it a lot easier. So yesterday, what did we do yesterday? Oh, my switch two came in. So we've played around that. I'm a big fan of it. Well, I know I was going to be. Obviously, it's new gaming technology. The big takeaway, though, is the fact that there's no more... Well, there is a cartridge slot on the Switch 2. It's not really geared for that.

It's geared for the virtual cartridge slot cards. Is they call them virtual cartridge slot? So VCS, I want to say. VCS, we'll call it. So the interesting thing about that virtual VCS there, the virtual cartridge, is the fact that when I first opened, so we did an unboxing yesterday, I unboxed it on the box, of course, you know, somebody patting on one side of the box, not padding on the other side, so the box was sliding back and forth. I know people don't notice that when selling a very pricey item, put it a little bit padding on both sides. So it's twice I ordered something from Best Buy, and twice it came sliding around inside. Both those are real expensive, too.

But I'd break it down to full payments or even afford to get it. But I try to keep up on the new gaming tech as best I can. I didn't think I'd get a Switch to this early, and I didn't want to pay crazy prices because I could barely afford the price of a regular one with the Mario Kart. It was the only way to get it. But I found one at Best Buy. So it came in. We're unboxed from the box, complained about the box backing.

And then we actually unbox the Nintendo Switch 2. Big fan of the controllers on the other side, how they lock in. Not a fan or I know it's going to be a real problem from a lot of kids is those little clips. You've got to push the button in and in the back. They get them off. These kids are going to rip them off like they would do the original ones or try to slide them off. So I'm sure that's a danger zone part right there. The controls, they seem a little bit better than the original switch, but still, they don't want it last.

The dock is pretty cool. It's got a little bit more of a design to it, a little more, you know, curvy. And the switch to itself is a little bit bigger. I don't think I'd want much bigger than that. It's pretty big. I have a portal, PS5 portal, that's pretty big, too, with the controls and everything right on it. So it's kind of in that realm of pretty cool stuff. So the thing I couldn't figure out when I first started my Switch 2 is where was my game?

Because it was supposed to come to Mario Kart. So I guess the motherboard itself is programmed. If it has one with the Mario Kart on the box, it's programmed to when you set up your account, and go to the store it knows that that switch has a free download so it's all automatic you don't there's you don't get a cartridge anymore so you're nothing you can

resell i would have i would not have kept the mario cart a world although it looks kind of fun actually uh... i would have resold it but there's no option at all i don't even get a physical card with a code on it or nothing So that was interesting.

So the technology is pretty cool how they do that. The mother boy knows that it's ready for a free download once you, but you need to set up your account in order to do it. So we did that. We downloaded a few things. It was pretty fun. I had a couple games that I must have purchased. I don't remember doing that.

Well, one of my do. And then, yeah, so we worked on that for a while. So that was pretty awesome. Big fan. I have a game coming in. I'm interested to see it's called split faction for and I want to see whether inside of it I don't think there's a cartridge far as I know it says just a code but is it actually a code though so I didn't see any place for me to put a Mario cart code it just did it or it did itself through the motherboard so that's still a mystery I have a quote and then said that on the out of the outside of the box it says the codes look inside but it's really kind of deceptive because it really is nothing inside the box to look at for a code the actual code is being done automatically so that was

really interesting stuff I like how to change that obviously saved lots of money by doing it that way not having any sort of extra cartridge all right so let's see we got some messages here message I got a message okay great great great great so we're just I just had a message here on a little bit uh i'll do a little i'll do a podcast and just switched you later on today although i pretty much kind of went through it already but i'm going to go look at it some more i also came across this really cool monitor yesterday uh think vision pretty awesome i don't think it has sound though but it's really cool for monitor all right so it has

the HTML so that's interesting um let's look at what's gonna go on I am going to I had an old Shopify but it's not let's not let me reactivate it because it's trying to get a second code from my phone but it's using my old phone number so I get to figure out how to get past that all right so here on Parshmark I have 1,161 followers not sure how I even gave one to follow but I really have a lot of it's my social media site with listings and no no sales order I had one on so that's pretty all right let's look at my RSS feed See, yes, they wouldn't have any downloads.

But we're always consistently doing them every day. So keep track of my days. And at the same time, we're chronicling my life as we go here. So having early morning podcasts every day. I enjoy it. Something I can do while I'm looking through my stuff and kind of chit-chat and giving you some updates. It's always gaming related. because it's most of the stuff I do is gaming related oh no downloads again yesterday

it's a couple days of no-go for me I've been quiet the last couple days but they're up there maybe sometimes people take a day off all right and each each day now when I do my podcast I usually add two links to my to my YouTube of what I've been doing the day before they changed it to some other paid so it does have some commercials which i apologize for that but i'm trying to make a couple dollars for all my hard work as i try to me all right so let's look at uh youtube we will continue to grow i did promote i did not promote my switch to video i had to stop i officially stopped promoting now just let it go it's going to go uh 66,920

26 subscribers. I had 15,606 in the last 20 days. By far, most I had, oh, you know, I also hit another accomplishment. I, um, 2,100,000 views. So I quickly went up from 2 million to 2 million and 1,000 views. And as I always say, if at least you get a penny for all those views, that would really help me out. not not the fact and let's see my revenue is 44 dollars and two cents so that's exciting views are 281.4 watch hours are 1.3 K so those are going up to so I didn't promote anymore for the month but I do did do for now if I

switch to and we had around a thousand views just on the short though my switch to the other way I just had only 12 views so yeah significantly different if I don't so two comments one says I got one oh a Nerf rival pump shotgun with balls oh cool cool seems fun so I came across some Nerf guns the other day across we listed them and the ones I like the rival pump shotgun and I actually had a couple of balls with it grandma grandpa's upgraded computer yes you can still do a lot It's my Acer, Windows 7, Acer, Spire, I sold that.

Oh, good. So let's see what else we got going on this morning. So yeah, we're closing in on 67,000. It was pretty exciting. Well, let's see if we have any number subscribers. Let's see what they got going on here. or subscribe to some more people always do most of them are just in zeros or a couple of that of like 300 subscribers so that's pretty cool 346 is everyone looking for the big numbers

in the thousands I just got the little guys come and hanging out with me 250 subscribers these are all the ones I'm subscribing to right now That was it. It's all I could do. I gained all those subscribers overnight, and yet I only could click on like ten new ones that I can see kind of a bum. All right, so let's go away to eBay. so that gives me so I had two orders that was it for messages so probably have a short podcast this morning looks like what's going on to some other stuff yeah yeah really short one today nobody's going to do that for this morning so pretty pretty easy stuff and then we will talk to you guys tomorrow i'll throw a couple things about a couple links uh for what i did yesterday with my switch
