A Wide-Open Weekend to List More Items on eBay.

Good morning everyone. It is now just about a little after 5 a.m. Today's the 11th. We're on another weekend. This weekend's been really quick to come by. So today's Saturday. Let's see. Yesterday I worked on my Compact Portable 3 for a while. I swapped the motherboard to the other unit screen and that works a little bit of a line but I never really got the hard drive issue figured out so I put around that for for a while yesterday but we're shelving that now it's kind of can't really do much more

with it so we'll just put it aside I I don't want to sell it. I may sell some of the parts off the other one. Now that I have both of the shells tested, the screen and all. So I may tear that one down more and sell some of the parts off of it. Or just sell the whole shell as it is, which has the heat sink. I mean, it has the fan in it and and the screen so we'll see what i'm going to do with that i haven't quite decided so i spent some of the day on that yesterday i had a bunch of orders to do that took me a while it was a little bit warmer outside yesterday so i finally took down all our outside christmas decorations yesterday so yes

they've been up since yesterday and we had them lit up every day until maybe about a week ago and they stopped lighting them and then it's been so cold uh that i didn't get time to take them down until yesterday of course there's still a lot of leaves around so i had to pick up some leaves so i spent spent a little time outside yesterday. Because I really haven't been outside. And now it's going to get a little bit of snow today. Just dusting. And then a little bit of 40 degree weather. And then we go back down into the cold.

As I've said, we're in the deep dark winter now. And I saw some sort of forecast for February. Of a lot of snow here in Rhode Island. So I've got to get my snowblower started, gassed up and ready to go. I'm expecting some sort of a blizzard in February. So we'll keep an eye on it. Of course, I'll be telling you guys about the blizzards here and the snowstorm. And I'll have videos of any sort of... I can go out there and shovel and throw my my phone

on i have a little uh shoulder over the shoulder holder uh for my phone so i can do videos outside while i'm shoveling and stuff like that i'll have to use my other older phone to do that because i don't want to ruin my good phone so So we'll do some snow shoveling videos this winter if we ever get some serious snow. I've got pretty much video everything now. I've been doing it for a while, but now I really... It's kind of like I'm chronicling my life here. So God forbid if something were to happen tomorrow,

I'll always have all the things I was doing since I started doing the videos. And then now the podcasts, so you can hear me. If one day, for God's sake, if one day I just stop doing it, you'll know something happened. But hopefully it won't. I'd like to be around for the technology as it's growing. It's really exciting.

I'd like to see 2040. I don't know. Some days I feel like I'm lucky if I make it by tomorrow. Significantly have aged in the last couple of years. And I sleep a lot too. I sleep 12, 14 hours a day. But you know you look at yourself and you can just see yourself aging quickly i've really noticed it in this last uh well i'll be 57 this year so

uh it's significantly i've seen some lots of changes but uh getting old is is interesting and fun i enjoy getting older again it's a means to an end. Oh, I'm offline. I just realized that. Now I need to... All right, so I have to plug my modem in. I said modem. I have to plug my.

Cable thing in. Because at night time. Sometimes I'll get up in the middle of the night. And go to the bathroom. And if my mother is already asleep. There's no reason to leave the box on. For the internet. Even though it's just a router now.

We don't have a cable box anymore. I don't think anybody does. So I unplug it before I go back to bed. Because it's just wasted energy. And back in the day when we did have cable boxes. Cable boxes took so much energy. And they were running all the time. Even when you were sleeping.

So I used to unplug those all the time too because why keep running thing running plus everything in my room i have on some sort of uh a switch breaker switch or one of those plug-in breaker things so right before i go to bed everything is shut off so i make sure nothing's running same with downstairs uh pretty much in the hall in the house everything gets shut off except for them like the refrigerators and stuff even if i can even shut those off i would uh it'd be cool if they come out with a i haven't seen it yet but a breaker system uh i see ai generated uh a breaker that you can set each breaker to shut off at a certain time at night

right from the box which would make sense so much energy would save if you just shut everything down as you could have for a certain time so you know that there's not even that little leak of energy uh getting wasted in

into the lines for anywhere in the house other than the things you might need like the refrigerator but besides that really what else do you need on at nighttime well you heat obviously anything that controls heat um in the refrigerator so as soon as i go to sleep I would shut I would have my breaker AI set I would just tell it what to do or you could probably even shut off the refrigerator for a few hours just to give it a break let it just sit and reload a little bit

so AI breaker that's the next thing on my mind so we could set all the voltage around the house, set it so that I can monitor it. And there is a thing that I had for a while. I can't think of the name of it.

It's probably a lot better now. I'm going to have to check on it. It hooks in onto your breaker, and then you can monitor all your power around your house. Something, what the heck was it called? Oh, I can't remember. I had one and then I sold it. But I bet you now it's almost probably,

there's probably a newer version that's, that wasn't AI driven, but it was something close to that. It clipped onto your main power on your, inside your breaker, breaker box. Electric panel, as you say and it would monitor through the computer and it slowly would pick up new signals and figure out what things were and then tell you how much energy it was taking when oh and also remember i have a sump pump too so that's a main one that would always have to stay on because now I'm in

this sump pump season here uh and my sump pump runs all the time now but I've just upgraded to a brand new one this this winter just this uh fall you can see the video of me putting it in so I'm nice and confident that we are good downstairs for the basement about two years they got to change those just preventative alright so now I'm online let's see what we see drone sighted over a nuclear plant sighting search. So there's still zones of drones flying around. So

she was inclined to uphold it. Inclined to uphold it. So I want to check on the band on TikTok. So let's see. What is it saying about that? Because that's interesting to me. So they inclined on Friday to uphold the law. Arguments.

Are we supposed to ignore the fact that That the ultimate parent is in fact. Subject to. Yeah so it looks like. I think next week. TikTok is going to. Be banned. That's really interesting. Something like that could cause war.

I told you. That's going to have some crazy impact. I told you I already said 2025 is going to be crazy. It's already started out. Some really crazy stuff. And it's only gonna go yeah worse so so that's interesting so i'm just hoping not really hoping but i i didn't never although i put videos on t on TikTok the same ones

I put on YouTube I always put on TikTok although TikTok you can only do up to 60 minutes when I started to TikTok it was 3 minutes then they changed it to 10 minutes and then you could do 60 minutes so I always most of the time after posting to

YouTube I would post to TikTok and then just let it run and not do anything else because I heard the ban was coming so there's no sense in trying to see if I can figure out how to make some sort of income on there so now

my question is what's going to happen to YouTube when TikTok goes away maybe people come over and hang out with us maybe i can get some action on my youtube channel that'd be awesome that's what i was thinking all right so let's look at you etsy this morning no nothing no sales on etsy bummer i had a couple sales i got excited i thought i was gonna roll roll. oh yesterday I started working on my systems a new system thing during the day during the afternoon I kind of ran out of systems that I had so we went to cartridges but before I did that I went to the original cartridge system which was the uh

what the heck was it called something f channel uh fairchild f fairchild channel f was the original first cartridge uh system so i went through that i never had it they're out there about 300 bucks you can get a whole one whole set with cartridges and all but i can no longer afford to get systems like that that i've never had as of right now but i i we still i still did a little um thing i was called the fear child channel f and i did a podcast yesterday about it and then I started out with the cartridges from there just kind of learn how that all the coding works through assembly language which I really never knew before and then I moved over to Atari

for a little bit a little bit of information on how the cartridges work on that and so I'm gonna I going to build on that and keep going with some of the early Nintendos and Xbox and stuff like that. But we'll stick with the cartridge ones because those are easier to understand. And AI Zippy,

my buddy Zippy, he gets me some little bit of coding that I could put into some other program. And then i learned places you can go to make your own kind of games which would be fun something i'd be into at some point and actually at some i i think it's pretty easy just to tell zippy what to make say i want a game that does this is this and it'll just make you code you take it and copy it and stick it on a rom and put it in your uh emulator system or maybe a rom to put right back into atari so that would be fun so that's where we're

getting that's where we're coming to so that's opens up all new fun things uh so nothing there let's look at YouTube. I was still climbing. Oh, I got to 11,000 of my subscribers. Let's see. Oh, and I made a category. I worked on my category yesterday. I thought it would be a fun category. These are all the rare.

So, I went up a couple. 11,233 subscribers. My average duration went up, which3 subscribers. My average duration went up. Which is cool. My revenue went down. $38.79. It's almost at the point now where I'm just so frustrated about that.

I try to make light of it, but it just seems like there's something missing for all this work. I can't even get it to generate a dollar overnight. Actually, I go negative overnight. There was a new thing I started. Maybe that'll help.

There's a shopping affiliate that looks like some sort of commercial or pop-ups for selling stuff other than what I have kind of don't want to add more commercials to my my youtube here but I kind of have to so I opt into that hasn't done anything so we'll see oh so my category I started yesterday was all the really rare hard to find systems that I had and I have had videoed so there's a I think this may be I think I put about 50 of them now I tried to hit all the ones that are really hard to find. And I didn't do every single video of each one. But I did some. So, let's see how many.

So, I put that as the hidden and unknown rare gaming systems. This 51 videos. I put that as my top uh ventures in new in categories and the next one is all my tandy 1000 and radio shack trs 80 there's about 36 videos again these are videos from the last three or four years so you'll see my my my workspace was really really small for the old older videos some I may not even be talking. But it's random. But it's still all about those different systems.

So that's what I'm trying to do with my categories. Next thing I'm going to do is go back to my Apple. I have a lot of Apple stuff that I had done. Real old stuff. So we'll get some of those. I have an Apple category and then I'm gonna keep building on categories for other stuff that I had I had a whole thing about I had a carport in front of my yard the town made me

take it down because I kind of overdid it I did overdo it so I got all the videos from that so I'm gonna make it a carport category you see all my frustration from well you'll see what and then there was another category i'm going to do about uh the house down the street uh the rebuild it caught on fire a couple years ago and they're almost they're building it it's they're doing all the inside now so but i took videos like periodically as it was first done it burned and then to them rebuilding it so I'm gonna put all that into one little category so if someone wants to look they'll have little places they can go to see I'm not

gonna put every single video but it'll be fun to add to it alright so YouTube it's growing but the key thing that I really need to grow is not thirty eight dollars and seventy nine cents my average duration went up to two dollars to two minutes and fifty nine but that doesn't really stay that long usually my average duration is 35 seconds so all right so let's go on to that so we'll hit eBay of course as i always say it's my lifeline here it's been pretty good i put a couple things on yesterday and then i ran out of time um what was i doing yesterday oh atari 5200 i got the top cover case bottom case is really big though and i have um two of the adapters for it let's see what we got going on

so today's saturday so it looks like uh i didn't see they look great and already purchased cool so I got a good I replaced someone needed the PS1 the inner metal the 7501 the bottom plate and there's a little metal for the motherboard and then there's also metal

for the over the port which the 5001 didn't and then let's see my second is my second message is an offer for eight dollars what is that i'm not gonna do that i'm not doing offers for $8 anymore. I just can't. It's just not even worth it. Because now, even one ounce now for selling is almost $5 now.

So three and change went away. Now it's four and a change. Other reasons why I'm trying to find other ways to get income because even selling parts anymore it's so hard because shipping just takes everything. And I mean obviously I would have to do more of so this I can't hurt anything

so the guy from he was pretty cool about trying to help me out with my compact 3 try flipping the cable told me to flip the cables to the other side

I just can't I can't get the disk driver or none of that to work. Because you viewed something. $180. Oh, no. Oh, they got one up now. Yeah, no. I can't afford that.

I'm interested in something, but it's way out of my league right now. I'm kind of strapped. Because I don't think I have any orders today. Maybe I have one. How much for a good gray one, and a back for another gray one? And a back for another gray one. There are no good gray ones.

Battery Compartments Are Battery compartment Covers compartments are credit card covers i may have to are clean so i don't have any i sold the donglesles, right now I have all of this, eight of the controllers I have, I may have to break that down, right now I have a, a listing for all eight, that's a lot, but I haven't had any, any luck on it, so let's see, yep, no, so no, no, no, uh, sales at all, I do have another feedback that I'll check on that.

So I have no sales. So we're going into the weekend, which is fine. Had some questions about an item before purchasing. Contacted seller beforehand. Seller was very fast in response and answered my question. Item arrived very quickly and was in great condition great awesome value of the product replaced my old rusted part and he used ps1 recently purchased so that's pretty cool that's all ask for he gave me the same comment twice which is awesome i do i i will have I'm always here to help. That's my thing. And even when things go bad and the seller contacts me in a negative way, I still try to help.

And then a lot of times it turns ugly after that. And then I get a negative feedback or neutral because usually I stand my ground. But I will. I always reply to any message as soon as i see it uh i sleep early so again i go to bed at 4 30 at night and then i'll get up to about five in the morning so once i'm up that's when i'm doing my messages here this morning and any damage control uh usually orders but i don't have any orders this morning so all right so that's it this morning I'm gonna build on the cartridges and we'll we'll do a little bit more of we're gonna do I'm gonna do some some some NES cartridges and maybe a couple

of different systems just early early stuff kind of see how they're how they're made how they're coded and how it interacts with the that system
