We had our First Big Snowstorm Over Night here in RI at about 6-9 inches.

good morning everyone it is now 5 50 in the morning on sunday 2 9 2025 we had a significant snowfall overnight i just woke up so i'll need to get out there and do some shoveling not sure how much is out there yet i haven't really looked but i'm sure it's at least supposed to be supposed to be six to eight inches so that's significant we had a, that for us is a really big snowstorm because we haven't had any kind of big snowstorms in the last few years. Actually, even this last few months, we've really hardly had any snow at all. So we'll have to go out and do some snow stuff. Yesterday, I was dealing with some issues in the morning. eBay and Etsy. Actually, Etsy was a major issue.

It still is. It hasn't gone away. I'm going to have to take the return back and figure out what happened at some point. But for now, I stand my ground. I shipped it fully working. Oh, not fully working. I shipped it with the game on it.

And it was all about this one game for some reason. And that was the first message the guy ever asked me about was that game. And then now it's about the return because he says he can't play the game. To me, that's just too ironic. To me, that's just a red flag. Something's up. Something happened to it after I shipped it to him. I don't know what.

When people tell me that I didn't do something. Or I shipped something that I know it was completely opposite. So, that's a mess. So, we'll have to figure out where that's going to go. All right, so then I was playing around with my IBM 5150. I pulled all the RAM off all the banks. Still trying to kind of learn how to do the 5150. It's the IBM. It's the original one there. And I still haven't gotten video. And after I pulled all the RAM, now I don't get any.

Before, I was getting the the light to come on on the disk drive but now I don't at all there's no beeps or anything so I'm thinking it's some sort of a BIOS chip maybe

so I'm going to put the RAM all back on again because I would have moved them around a little bit so maybe that'll help I doubt it will. So we'll go back to that. Maybe today or tomorrow.

And what else am I going to do today. So we got a lot of shoveling and stuff like that. And we'll check orders and stuff. So we'll come. I'm working on Sega CD. Yeah. So we'll do some Sega CD today. I've been trying to get to it, but today

I'll get to it. I put aside my old computer stuff for me. That's just my little thing to play around with. We'll go on to Sega CD and try to get some stuff listed. Motherboards, small parts, things like that. Let's see what's going on this morning here.

News wise. Let's see check the news real quick oh i did get my other computer that i got at a thrift store i added 16 gigabytes and it should it was getting ready to update to windows 11 but then it stopped on me so i'm gonna retry it again today i'm not sure what happened so that'll be cool i like that it's a lenovo i found at a thrift store for really cheap and i swooped it up and i added a really cheap 16 gigabyte upgrade which is super cheap too. And so far... So far, so good. It took the RAM, no problem.

So that's cool. No issues there. All right, so let's go to Etsy. This is now my big... Etsy always was my best place to sell stuff. Well, I haven't quite seen. I'm sure I'm going to get some sort of a return, something. I'm sure, well, I'm definitely going to get negative feedback here. At some point, I'll be blasted there.

Well, everything was going really good at my restart of Etsy until I just knew that I was going to pull something like that or it was all on the focus on the game that was on it, and I knew that guy was going to pull something like that. It was all focused on the game that was on it. And I knew that. It had some relevance from that first message that I got. I knew it. And I almost shouldn't even have just... To save all of this, I would have rather...

The guy never even contacted me about it. And I would have just not have sold it. It would have just done its thing waiting for someone else. I wasn't selling just the game. I was selling... So I haven't seen anything yet, but I'm sure at some point I will have a message in regards to having to take the return back.

But, again, I know how I shipped it, and it was as is, So that was the whole point. So, so Etsy is quiet. Maybe I'll get shut down. I don't know. I usually have good positive feedback, but I did have also having another guy recently for Etsy.

When I first opened, started it up again, said he ordered the, uh, the two button covers for the Super Nintendo, said, sorry, I ordered them by mistake. Can I return them? And I said, please don't return them.

Please just resell them. They sell fast. Because, again, that's another thing. A lot of all the time and effort went into getting that 3DS out to that guy as quickly as possible. There's a lot of work that goes into each order in you know from the minute it sells to to finding it and then packing it and then getting it out the same day going to the post office is all lots of stuff that goes in there so on that guy i was like yeah

please please please he was asking so he was like uh can i return this? I was like, please don't. And I gave him the whole spiel about all the time, effort, and money it cost to ship it to you. And then if you're going to return it, it means I've got to pay to ship it back. And then I never heard from him again. So hopefully I just told him to resell it. Because those things sell fast. So what I would do is if I get something, I try to resolve it as a buyer. I never return anything, usually hardly ever.

Maybe once in a blue moon I might return something, but I haven't done it in a long time. I once had to open a return just to get the buyer for my damaged computer to help me with a partial refund. But besides that, I won't do it. I try not to. It's something really extreme. Alright, so let's go on to RSS feed. I did do a quick little shorter podcast about

pulling games off of the 3DS because I wanted to go where as soon as this guy gave me an issue, I went to my buddy Zippy and see what I could come up with for what would happen if you tried to pull a game off of a 3DS. I don't know, maybe he didn't do that.

I don't know what happened, but something happened where it's different than when I shipped it. So we did a short little podcast on that one. It was kind of fun, actually. I'm only getting like one or two downloads but that's cool i appreciate anybody that comes in uh i try to keep content as fresh as i can uh i do it daily definitely the one in the morning uh i've been kind of not doing that many during midday because i really haven't come up with a new idea yet. Gaming wise.

Yes, I took a little time off and I was playing Alan Wake 2, which I'm a big fan. I really haven't played it that far, but I'm now Alan Wake. And I'm trying to get through a subway station.

So it's my kind of game because it's really slow and you just take your time and nothing's really you know not really killing anything. Which is cool. So we just have two orders this morning it looks like here. Yeah. Two orders. Cool.

So I try to come up with ideas of stuff to do outside in the back and all. But maybe we'll see if we can do a little bit of snow. Because we really haven't done anything with snow. It's the most snow we've had but we do have another snowy week coming there's another storm smaller on wednesday and then a bigger one on thursday so we're definitely going to be and

they said that february is going to be a really snowy month which usually it used to be, but it hasn't been. But I think going forward, I mean, this month will be one. I'm thinking about maybe what I did with my chat GPT, my buddy Zippy. I wiped out all the threads I've had. So I started fresh. And now I'm going to come up with a major cartridge. I mean a cartridge

is controllers. Get an idea how a controller works. Starting out with the original Nintendo NES controller. Because there is a board in there. There are some components. And there has to be an input output. In order to get it to work on your system. Controls are like a main thing.

Without a controller you can't run and if a controller doesn't work you know it so so maybe we'll stop playing around we'll do we'll do something with controllers something i was thinking about doing and i'm trying to hit every every aspect of gaming systems and kind of how they work, just like an overview. I just finished up mostly all cartridges and CDs from pretty much all the systems I could think of, even the rare ones that I've had. So now I can go on to controllers, and then we'll go from there.
