A Slow Day on Ebay.

Good morning everyone. It is now just about 5 o'clock in the morning. Another cold day. Supposed to be not as cold as yesterday, but still very cold here. So yesterday I tore down my color... I did some Apple stuff yesterday. I tried to mix it up. So I tore down, took me a while. My old classic Apple Color Classic monitor computer thing. Took me forever to figure out how to get the motherboard out. There's a battery in those older boards that blow up. And it's the second board and this one really blasted.

I cleaned it up a little bit, put the most of the motherboard. But it was very complicated to try to get it apart kind of figured it out after how to get the motherboard out so we did that for end of the day project and I also pulled apart a power book 150 that I had gotten in parts really cheap so nobody auctioned for it so I just got it so I took that one apart too I had gotten in parts. Really cheap, nobody auctioned for it, so I just got it. So I took that one apart too. I had one before, it's got a power supply

and all that good stuff came with it. So that's pretty cool. So we're gonna get some of that listed. So I'm always doing a project, and usually after the project's done, it's just a list of some parts that I pull off of it. The color classic's got the Sony Trinitron monitor, which is very sought after, those monitors.

But I don't think I'd ever try to ship that. I don't know what to do with it. And then it has a big, giant power supply with it, too. So I've got lots of other stuff for it. Disc drive, floppy drive, all kinds of stuff that came out of that. Pretty cool. All right, so what else did i do yesterday worked on orders most of the day pretty much and i did a teardown project for the end of the day project oh and then i learned yesterday about stargate which i'm very excited about it's going to be our new ai infrastructure

around the country stargate so they're going to be building a massive energy places for it so my my buddy zippy will get much better as we get going on here so i'm glad to see that we now have an infrastructure just for ai so that's going to be very very interesting so i'm a 50 i'll be 57 this year hopefully i'll get to see some really cool uh innovations as we go forward with ai and whatever else comes out of ai which quantum computers i'm hoping in my lifetime maybe i'll get to see a holograms i'd like to see some hologram action going on so those things if i get to see them before my lifetime ends that'd be great but we'll see we'll see where we go from there all right so let's see what this morning brings let's check the news yeah news is on okay uh already showing basketball no basketball's been out for a while actually

uh earth's magnetic pole just recently moved that's never good end of life in 2025 so windows 10 will end in 2025 it's actually what i'm using now is windows 10 my computer is not good enough for windows 11 but i do have uh some some my mini desktops i use the hb elite desk i got an elite older elite desk uh laptop that i've been using i got it really cheap and it works fantastic uh we'll keep doing that one until i but i have some elite book no No, I'm sorry. This is the EliteBook for my laptop. My EliteDesk is my mini desktop, and those are awesome.

I have a G6 with an i9 in it. That works. At the end of the day, they all do the same thing, but the problem is with Windows 11, you have to have a certain CPU in it in order to get it to work and a certain amount of memory. But Windows 12,

if and when it ever comes out, is going to require at least 16 gigabytes of RAM. Which I have in my two Elite desktops. I have 32 gigabytes. So I'm set on those two. I just want to get something for a laptop because for some reason now, I use a laptop 100% more times than I'm using my Elite Deskbook.

It's an i9. It works fine. But it's saying that it may still be able to get onto the internet and stuff. That's all I use it for. Again, at the end of the day, you can have the best, newest computer ever made. And it just does the same thing. It just maybe does it for. I sold my Compact Portable 3 shell. Not cheap because they're hard to find. The shell had the screen, the power supply. Screen worked, power supply worked. I had done many videos of those with that one and then i swapped it over to my other one because i had a second one and and that one works too so i sold the other one that was a big order to get out i had to go get it all really extra packed and because it has a screen on it which but i packed it. It wasn't that too bad. And then I sent it to UPS yesterday.

So that was a big order. But we got it right out, though. It was right over at UPS within a few hours of it ordered. Yeah, sorry you want to order from me. Because especially if it's something that's worth more and costs more, I'll do my best to get it out as quickly as I can. And I put insurance on it. I have signature

because it's worth more it costs more so you have to have signature when you've got something that you're shipping worth money and you've got to put insurance and that saved me on my big debacle of my head for the Tandy

but the insurance worked out. It was covered, so that buyer will be getting his money back and I should get some of my shipping costs back, hopefully. Alright, so nothing at sea. Looked, um... Alright, so let's see what's next thing is here let's go look

um oh let's go to my rss feed so yesterday i finished up with nintendo switch tried to find a little info on switch 2 but i really couldn't get any specs ai is way behind the ball so my buddy zippy wouldn't know anything new or if something new just came out it only knows like other stuff older stuff but it um and then i searched around and i really couldn't get much like exact specs for the nintendo switch 2 so we did the regular switch talked about the cartridges a little bit and when I was the switch to see if I can get some info on that and any kind of sort of rare games or anything like that but there obviously isn't money because switch to as a metal switch hasn't been out that long and we know that's the regular switch is gonna have backwards

compatible to I mean those which to have backwards compatible. I mean, the Switch 2 will have backwards compatible to regular Switch. So that's cool. So we'll just find out what the specs are when they come out. So I've got to figure out what we're going to go on to next. I think I said I was going to do PS. No, I was going to do Xbox 360 today. We'll get some ideas of how the discs work and all that stuff. Trying to keep with that theme. We kind of getting running out of stuff but from there i have to really come up with new ideas

because i like to do my gaming podcast in the afternoon so i had three downloads of my podcast. I'm at 308 all time, which is awesome. I think I have now, I have 160, I'll be at 167 today. I do two a day. I've been doing it for about a month, so they add up pretty quickly. So that's cool. Again, it's one of those things where I just do it for fun, basically. I haven't really, although it is monetized in some way on apple podcast and a few other things uh it has not it's only been like it i only get only get a few

downloads but i love to send my message in a bottle across the internet ocean i find that very fun and wherever it may land it's pretty cool all right so let's go on to youtube we were still climbing yesterday let's see where we YouTube. We were still climbing yesterday. Let's see where we're at today. I did long videos. I can't promote anymore. I've promoted too much for this month. Meaning it costs me too much money to keep promoting.

Even though I do little ones. I've done a lot of little ones. But it's really helped me out. The $10 ones. This last one I did a $20 one. So my subscribers are now at two thirteen thousand seven hundred and six my estimated revenue has gone down again thirty five dollars and ninety cents and I would see if that was like for the day. That would be pretty cool. But it's not. It just goes down.

I've never gotten past $40. I don't understand it. Unless I'm missing something. I did learn that by the month. There's like almost $100. But this revenue summary. Last 28 days. Is saying $35.

So that would be the whole month. it's kind of a bummer i don't quite get why it's not working financially wise but it is what it is all right so let's see my videos are pretty good i have my let's see last day i did oh i put my podcast up i get a few of up I get more views on my podcast than I do if I put a video up without promoting it not many more views but a few more like in the

10s or 20s views although I had 311 views my best two videos ever are basically the same video, but at two different angles. It's when my little buddy Rocket, my little pocket Rocket I call him. He's a little peanut pocket Rocket. He's a little peanut.

He just flies around in that cage. When I first got him, I made a short out of the video showing me capturing him with my cat-like reflexes. That's what I call them. I still got pretty good reflexes. And I had a second view that was a live view. And I went and found that short. I cut that out and I put that up. So that one's been running pretty good too.

Not as good as the first one, but it's fun. He's a little rock star. My little buddy just was just random thing that just happened to happen while i was videoing uh both overhead and live stream it's pretty funny so that one's getting still getting good views 1.5 my biggest one by far is the um the first view overhead view which had almost like eight point something use 8,000 views which is way beyond anything I've ever gotten probably will never get but 8.4 K on that so anything that I do that's other than gaming usually and if I but I have to promote it will give me some pretty good views

anything oversight my oversights i've done for um as i call it for youtube one-on-ones my little one-on-ones have been doing okay i'll do some more of those with gaming and talking about youtube so if you talk about youtube and how to get better at it then you um those are your most popular by far does a few bucks promote yes you know see i'm getting 3.6 1.6 so what else i'm going to do is i'm going to talk about ebay and how to how to sell on ebay or sell on other stores because i've been doing that for a while i'm'm pretty good at it. Again, I have around 10,000. I've sold 24K stuff. I've been doing it for a long time.

So I'm thinking about maybe talking about selling. Because everyone in 2025 needs to learn how to be home-based. They've got to have some sort of a side hustle. But I call it a survive hustle. Everyone needs a survive hustle but i call it a survive hustle everyone needs to survive hustle to going forward here because things are going to change and you're going to need to be self-sufficient i believe more and more uh because you never know what's going on around us so if you have something where you can be self-sufficient while the rest of the world is going crazy then you could be all right.

But I don't know. So I'm going to continue on. I started talking about being home-based. But we're going to call it a survive hustle. And we're going to show how you can sell stuff. I mean, there's so many sites now that sell stuff. Or it can be creative. Like I said, you can make your own website and do something creative.

Everybody can find something to build a home base. It's very important. Okay, so YouTube is doing its thing. It's still plucking away. It's the little channel that could, as I call it. Where at? So I had a couple likes. Average percent view, 27.

I'm getting a little bit, since I've added my categories to YouTube, meaning I have 12 sections and people can find stuff a little bit easier. It seems like maybe people are kind of going around a little bit, checking things out, which was the point of it. And it seems like it might be working a little bit. But at the end of the day, $36.90. No, actually $35.90 is the outcome for whatever reason. All right, so let's go to eBay.

I sold a few things yesterday. One thing I can't find, and I may have to give the guy his money back. Once in a while. I lose something. I just can't seem to find it. So let's see. Let's look at eBay here. See where we're at today.

Put a couple new things up. Oh, I put a remote for my Panasonic Q. See if I have any interest in that. Let's see. So a $13 offer. 360. Panel. I just can't do it.

It's one side panel. it cost me 13 to ship it so it's just i just have to decline it i wish it was a way right when buyers made an offer that i could uh have a pop-up saying free shipping isn't free for me. Of course, here I talk about it all the time. But it's not, so I can't do... Nintendo Switch... Unknown...

So if I had something for $45, it's two Nintendo Switch empty shells. He's offering me $20. I don't do half-offs. So that's a heck no. It's actually more than half-offs. So now I can do $10 so

I decline probably 90% 99.9% of the time I decline and it's a basic concept I don't need to counter I don't do counters if I see something and it's half off of this one like this one is I just decline that way I don't waste the buyer's time and I certainly don't waste mine I see something and it's half off of this one, like this one is, I just decline.

I do it once in a while. If I see something I'm interested in, I'm like, hey, I'll throw them half off, see if they'll take it.

And some some buyers some sellers do i do not i decline it happily decline it i want to say just if you're way off so i got my silly hat i ordered it's a super mario it's got floppy ears and all that fun stuff oh yeah so we're getting that a few days parts arrived quickly cool so I got some good one new feedback here great seller patrol route quickly and a better than I expected yeah he got a really nice set I gave him like the best set for a fan comm I have a high have him as worn and broken controller set for the fan comm but I gave them like a part it was like a beautiful set so uh a nintendo top loader empty case oh yeah the two metal pieces

I gave them as clean as much as I could get so that's cool all right so good positive that's the way we like it I had an order come in what is that order that came in today and I have three orders too uh let's see what my orders are So good positive. his $6 offer it's the three buttons for the 1631 top cover minimum my minimum order now is around $13 because there's just no way to... I have to make a few bucks off the back end.

If I can't after all my shipping costs and fees, then there's no reason really to do it. Why would I be doing it if I can't even make two or three bucks? So therefore... But most buyers don't understand that and it's getting really really hard to sell even cheap little parts because the shipping cost just keeps going up and up so it's four dollars and 25 cents just to ship that those little buttons that's my cost for the postal service US USPS Ground Advantage. It used to be $2. Actually, it

used to be down to like $1 or something. Now it's almost $5, $4.25. Nothing's in the $3 anymore. So again, it doesn't matter. I'm doing two ounces, so it could be a screw. So it doesn't really matter what it is I'm shipping you. It's a door-to-door service. And it has to be at a minimum now for me at $13. Most of my orders are still at $12 or $11. Going forward, I'm going to start adding another dollar. And I'll always have free shipping because it's a lot easier than sitting here

with a thousand orders trying to organize how it's going to be charged as shipping I'll just add a buck here and there things you just have to do postal services but there's really no other way to do it so this

is also why I try to find other things to do going forward. Because just selling gaming parts is not enough. Although it's been alright. But I'm selling more computer stuff too. So that's helping. I've got lots of computer stuff to sell yet. Alright, so the other one was the power board that's gonna be

so we'll print out my orders here too so $5 for that one but yeah I gotta put it in a box the box cost you know a few bucks when you gotta put it in a box. The box costs, you know, a few bucks. When you buy a box in a bulk, it costs you $30, $40 for a bulk of boxes. Each box is $0.50 to $0.75. Added on to that, this shipping cost, right? A little bit of tape. I gotta throw in tape

on there. And it's sort of a little packing, whatever I need. So, all that stuff adds up. So, again, I'm almost, I believe it's sort of a little packing or whatever i need so all that stuff ends up so again i'm almost i think i believe it's just about eight dollars now my cost out the door even if you want one screw and i've often had just had two buyers ask me hey can i just get just this one piece and then they send me an offer like for six dollars and And I'm like, and I just declined it because it sounds logical that out of the three little pieces, you only want one piece. Therefore, I ship you just that a lot cheaper. But it's not possible.

It's not realistic. Because I got to make a few blocks. So it makes it not realistic. And if I show you in person, you say, hey, can I add that one little button there? And I'd be like, alright, no problem. But it's not that way. It's a door-to-door service. From me in Rhode Island to

wherever you are in the country, or world actually, I do, I sell parts internationally as well. It's a lot more difficult. Something goes wrong and then I'm all done. But normally things go pretty well um yeah all right so that's my morning i'm gonna stick to it

so then we'll um we'll go on to xbox 360 today we'll get some ideas of how the discs work and all that stuff see how they changed over if they changed any from the first model to the 1439 then to the 1538 it should be all the same boot process I don't see it being different
