I am going to do an Amiga 500 Mid-Day Podcast.

Good morning everyone. It is now 5.42 a.m. It's 2.13.20.25. Almost halfway through February. Yay. We got more stormy weather, but it's more... Although we got snow yesterday. I had to shovel some. It was really light and fluffy. So I took another little snow video of that before I did it. Not while I was shoveling, just a uh showing the uh winter wonderland look which is always really cool so we i had to shovel we had a good three inches yesterday um but today we're going into another storm pattern but it's more of a mix icy stuff thank goodness i work from home so i never have to really travel anywhere uh which is such a great thing so being home-based uh survival hustle is is key especially in these days even in the government a lot of people are losing their jobs so you got to find yourself a

survival hustle i'm pretty much um foolproof now for everything I need is right here for me to work and to do. So no matter what else is going on, I usually pretty much can survive, which is basically what I call a survival hustle. So yesterday I worked on, oh, I pulled out my Amiga, Amiga 500. It's very similar to the STF Atari or the Commodore 128, the shape of it, the size. And I finally sat down. I finally got a mouse, and I learned some stuff about it. And I finally got to kind of work better than I've ever. I've had it for about two or three years, and it was really expensive. But first, I could never get a mouse to work but i

finally found a mouse adapter and i got the mouse to work i learned that kickstart is the rom chip that actually boots it and then you can run games through that kickstart i only have the original 1.3 kickstart on mine my amiga 500 i think there's a 1.2 i did see it on ebay and then i have got all these games i got got in local and then i got some online too uh and so i have versions of uh i can use 1.13 a workbench because that's the same as the kickstart but i also have a 2.04 bench so talking with my buddy zippy and learning i can and then i went on ebay for a while it's all kinds of uh you need a kickstart uh switcher because some games the older games don't work on the newer kicks newer kickstocks i think the kickstock goes up to like 3.3 or something like that and i had one guy one

guy looked on mostly everyone that's selling that kind of stuff is from a different country so i left a message for somebody who's got some a really fun one that's you can switch to eight different kickstarts so that's probably the one i'm probably going to get it's one chip then you can do a dual chip converter and then you can put two different chips on it and do it that way so there's some some people have that as well so you can do like 1.3 and then a three point something but i don't have anything further than i believe 2.04 so i would just want to be 1.3 and 2.04. Because I also have a Gotek for it. So lots of fun stuff.

But I spent a good hour or so on that learning. I didn't know nothing about it at all. I didn't even understand the whole kickstart thing. Now I kind of understand it. Then I figured out I needed a joystick in port 2 and the mouse goes in port 1. In order to play games, you need to hit it with a start button. Because a lot of the games.

I haven't been able to get to even turn on yet. So I've got a lot of work to do. So that's where I spent the day. Oh and I took my truck yesterday. To get it inspected. It needs some work. I've got a checklist of stuff I've got to finish. I started the.

Inspection here in Rhode Island. You're going you're gonna have your car inspected every few years most states have that out west they don't really have that but out here we do emissions check and all that stuff so i got some work to do so i'll have to bring it back made a quick little video i was sitting there waiting for them they started doing it when i first got there. But yeah, that was fun. It's the journeyman project. So I'm sitting in the news. No. So it says Windows 10 dies in 2025 so I've got a computer a couple that will go will go past Windows 10 but you can still use that for a long time

you can even get to Windows 7 I can get to Internet in Windows 7 so it's just it's not as supported anymore. Alright, so let's go to Etsy. Let's see. I have not heard back. A couple things I'm waiting for in Etsy.

everything that's good and positive i don't like anything that's uh not that good and positive and i usually i don't react too well to anything that's busy with something that I know I did and getting told I did something different I had a couple downloads cool always appreciated always get a few uses two but then it shows more than two so I'm not sure what it means. Maybe a couple from a different two places. Seven days. So, that's always fun. A lot of them are from Apple Podcasts. I get a few Apple Pandora, Shopify, Firefox, Podcast

Attic. So, it's cool. And then also, I'm only down to just one right now i'm gonna try to get to some other podcasts but it's just been i kind of i kind of came with a blank about a blank for the midday and plus i've been doing a lot of other stuff so it's kind of been so for now i'm just my early one-on-one and i try to talk about some gaming stuff and i try to keep the gaming as related as possible so it's gaming slash uh just set what i do for selling which is just it's kind of all in the same thing and like i said you can always go check out the videos on my youtube i'm always putting new stuff up once or twice a day i do use a long live feed

oh let's go on to youtube now we're talking about it we'll segue right into that let's see what's going on here this morning we were growing we're at 18,100 subscribers, my average view duration, is three minutes and two seconds, so that's much better, but it's not overall average, and of course my revenue never goes anywhere, it's $28.98,

so and I get a lot but at the same time I'm always doing a live view from a different angle so it's that music gets a lot more views although i don't think for some reason even though i sign uh live feeds up for monetize i don't think i really get monetized through live feeds which is a bummer because sometimes i see because there's

so many people different people watching at one time i mean not so many people, different people watching it at one time, I mean, not so many, but maybe we have, you know, 10, it's shown hours watched, but I never get anything for that, so it's a really, it's really weird, so it's a weird place, I don't know, luckily, I just do it as a, like, a little fun side thing, although I would love it to make some money for me me it'd be wonderful i think i put the time and effort into it you know what i mean but it's just it just doesn't but we we still all right so let's um go over to ebay so youtube for climbing i'm looking my next goal now and that is 18 100 so so I'm not gonna promote me every once in a blue moon and see how so much slower it climbs but we'll see all right so let's go to eBay see what's going on this morning here I had a couple orders yesterday oh I sold some controllers for my Atari 5200 oh we got

some little action here a lot of messages that's never good usually if I see a lot of messages that means something oh cool that guy oh let's see what you get in the end. Cool. Ah, $25. $25. How do you sell all three parts as a package deal i could do that sure i can do that so i gotta take a couple orders here this morning so we're just gonna take what I see I'll take the

And I sold that too. Cool. All right, so we had a pretty good morning. Thank goodness. So basically. Again I live for my eBay. So whatever I sell. Pays the bills.

And then if I have something left. I can get some fun stuff. And I'd like to do. Plus anything I get. Is going towards. YouTube videos. So like this guy here. I am communicating with. There's all kinds of fun mods and stuff.

I think he's from Ireland. So. Eventually I'll get some. I'll order some stuff from him. It'll come in. And then we'll do a whole video of me pulling it apart. And playing around with adding new stuff. Because all this old old computer stuff

which is just as fun if not more fun than gaming stuff there's vintage stuff to really early stuff especially european stuff i would never have had unless they were not got it uh amiga 500 being one of them is you want to modernize it and upgrade it as much as possible and this guy has all that kind of stuff so so that's what we're going to do so we'll wait till he replies back a little bit see if he gets my watches my video it's written on the right side near the floppy drive and the floppy oh right so maybe it's on the board we'll look in a minute all right so that's my what i'm doing this morning so you can check out the Amiga 500 I got all kinds of
