Gooday Gaming Guests - Morning Ground Hog Day 1

I have the same routine each and every day. My Shop opens as soon as I get out of my loft bed.

this is the start of my early morning i'm going to call the groundhog day because every day my day usually starts out the same so i go to bed really early at night four o'clock four four thirty usually at night i like to sleep the night away and then i get up real early so it's four a.m so normally my groundhog day usually starts with, as soon as I wake up, I have like a loft bed or bunk bed, whatever you want to call it. So I get out of my bed and I turn on my power in my little workbench area. And then I turn my computer on and my shop is now open for the day. So that's really nice. I don't have to drive anywhere or do anything.

I just literally walk out of my bed and turn my shop on and I'm open. So normally what I do is the first thing I do is I check all my messages. So most of the stuff from me happens overnight while I'm sleeping. So I get most of my sales, any sort of messages. Because normal people are up until, you know, 10, 11 o'clock. As opposed to me who goes to bed at 4.30. So all the things usually happen overnight. So most of my sales are overnight.

Any messages, any issues. So when I get up first thing in the morning as soon as I turn my shop on which is my eBay store I go to work pretty much so it's four o'clock so I had a few messages this morning so let's take a little quick look here so we get going on actually I already did them but we'll go so I had a few orders not many but had a couple couple uh the lenovo laptop i worked on i got an offer that was fairly decent so i took that offer so i sold that that went pretty quick that was pretty cool with the dock and everything so we'll get that shipped out tomorrow

so today's sunday so i can kind of take a little bit of a break i don't have to rush to get my orders out because normally every morning my routine is to start i print all my orders out which i've already done i printed them all out i only had a few this morning and then normally i'll stop working on my orders depending on some are really easy to do i can just grab stuff and throw in a box and go other stuff i have to test and then even worse as other stuff i have to uh test and pull like a motherboard or something like that so that takes a lot longer but these orders mostly are pretty simple to do plus today is sunday so sunday gives me a little bit of a break, however, I'm not really, not working,

I'm still doing stuff, so I printed out all my orders, so this morning, I had just a few orders, but I sold that laptop, so that's pretty cool, um, and then, let's see, I sold a laptop. I sold a Xbox 360 S 500 gigabyte hard drive. This morning I sold a little for the backwards compatible fat. A model. I sold the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth board. I sold another one of those. PSP power jacks. I pulled the other day. So that means I have to pull that. This morning. So we'll do that as a little side project. This morning. On video.

And then a couple other things. A Wii power adapter. Right now I'm having a lot of sales. Which are almost 30% off. So all my small items. that I used to make maybe two or three bucks per order because you can remember everything for me free shipping is not free for me so even if I were to ship one screw has to go postal UPS I mean United States Postal Service ground advantage so even if I put a screw in a little box it cost me seven dollars after all my fees out the

door so I have to my minimum order was $11 but since I've had to my coupons and discounts things are selling for like eight dollars so that means i make like a buck per order and a lot of my stuff is just really small stuff so it's only a dollar now i make so once i get something a little bit bigger that really really helps me out but i'm just really doing some deep discounts at this point right now um so yeah so those are my orders this morning i didn't have any uh sometimes i have some damage control meaning i have something that went wrong uh some once in a while i'll get like a 9-1-1 message from a buyer for some something i did wrong or

he says it's wrong or something but i haven those. However, there's always a however with me. I've had three now returns in the last day. And if anybody knows me, they know I hate returns. And it's returns that really, really aggravate me. So if I get something, I buy something on eBay or anywhere, and it didn't fix my problem. I won't return it anymore. I'd like to.

But I won't. Only because. Returns I get are those. So. Three returns I've got. I'll vent about it. I use my YouTube to vent about returns. So I have three pending returns.

And I have big ones too. First one is, no, I actually have four of them now. Yuck. And that's almost like a hundred bucks of cash I have to put back. Which really bothers me. Because remember, for returns,

I pay, you ship it to you for free. I pay for it. And then if you do a return, then I have to pay for it to come for it and then if you do a return then i have to pay for it to come back so even if it was a screw shipping it to you is four bucks another four bucks back so it's like ten dollars so i have first one my my first return this morning i mean in the last couple days is for ps pro plastic hard drive cover slot cover i don't know he said there was a broken clip on or something so that's coming back so that may be that's my mistake so it's missing pieces

the second one though is not mine and this is a big one so i specify specifically detail ps4 PS4 1115A motherboard SAB-001 4 pin power supply and 025 drive board. It's updated 12 firmware. So I give you every detail I can possibly get. This buyer is returning it because he said, I didn't realize, oh, mine's a 1215A. So that's a killer so all that information that i put out there to try to not to avoid exactly what just happened happened and i still have free returns i probably will always they're just a real pain i just lose i lose a lot on it but you kind of have to

uh so that's coming back so if i didn't do a free return uh what would happen is buyers would open up as defective and donor just so they don't have to pay so there's really you can't really get past it so you just kind of have to suck it up and and take the return so that's coming back and that was 50 some bucks and then the next one was sega dreamcast model one top plate says he no longer needs it so he's returning there's nothing i can really do about that i try not to contact buyers that unless it's something that says i did something wrong other than the first one with the hard drive cover it says a broken clip so i'm sure i must have missed a clip or something so let's come back and then my last one is the most difficult ones

the power supplies uh ps3 slim 3000 model power supply he's returning because it didn't fix his issue hence what i said before about i would never do that so power supplies are so hard to sell because even though i specifically say that unless you have no power at all don't get it they get them anyway because they can return them so that's again that's under changed mind so if it's under changed mind or well it doesn't fit it goes against my account if you get something that says defective if someone opens a return a defective donor i mean defective or not working then that goes against my account these ones change mine change mine it doesn't fit saying that i shipped him something that's not correct where he actually ordered the wrong one

but there's no way to like fight these things you can't so it just it just goes against my and it was um so instead of knowing that he had uh a 1215a and when you're going to order a motherboard you you're taking the motherboard out first. You're actually ordering by the exact motherboard. Not just the. The console itself. I couldn't detail anymore. There's just not way possible.

For me to do it. So. But. I try to detail it as much as I can. Because most of the times I can. Avoid those. So that's my four returns this morning. And then that's my orders. I have a few orders to do so let's see it's let's see what we're going on here yeah so let's see what else we got going on here for this morning so this morning i'm going to finish my laser

rail system that i was working on yesterday i to go back and fix yet another piece of it that I messed up yesterday. It took me a couple of days to put that thing together. And then it's Sunday. So I got some football. My local Patriots are terrible. But thank goodness there's no Bill Belichick. Even though we're at the bottom, we're going to start somewhere.

So we'll see if they get any better. They won a game last week. I didn't get to watch it because my Wi-Fi wasn't working. So I think the Patriots have won three games now. So it's fun to watch something. Maybe it will evolve into something. I'm sure we'll never have teams like we used to have. But who knows.

I really don't really watch football. i will watch it for a little while um don't really watch other tv news i'm kind of a news guy i watch the news a little bit here and there but for the day i got some i got that laser thing to do and i may do a couple of little projects this morning i'll find stuff so i've decided that in the morning I'll get up. We'll do a quick little. Morning groundhog day. Tell you what's going on for the morning. Where I'm at.

If there's anything really difficult. Any sort of. Damage control. I'll share it. Let you know. Because selling gaming parts is extremely difficult and i'd like to do other stuff besides that in the future i'm hoping to so far not so much but uh ebay is still my lifeline uh everything goes through there pretty much i had an etsy store forever i closed

it just to kind of consolidate a little bit just Just one less thing. It really wasn't selling a lot of stuff. Although I did sell a bunch of stuff over the years. And Etsy was easy to sell on. But then now they wanted to change things. All these sites want you to add more details and do all that. And I just didn't have time to really get into that. So I decided to shut it down. I opened a Shopify store.

I haven't really done much with it yet. It's going to connect to YouTube. And then also I have a little t-shirt. I have two other projects. Well, not projects. Just ideas. My first one is my French Fry Freddy cartoon. I got all my characters

so there's some links to some t-shirts and stuff for those, they're pretty cool and then I have my inspirational because I've been sober since 2011 so I like to try to do things that are inspirational but with a gaming

twist to it so I use Zippy, my AI companion, to help me design some... Firstly, the AI, Zippy, came up with some slogans, which were cool. So I used those, and then I wanted to put it on the background of a logo t-shirt somehow. But the problem with AI still is it can't spell. Meaning, it can spell, it gave me all the inspiration thing,

but quotes rather, inspirational quotes. But when I say, all right, let's take this quote and make me an image, it can't make an image. It make the image but then it can't when it puts the words on the image they come out not spelled correctly it's a problem i've had with uh zippy since i started using it hasn't gotten any better yet that i think i'm sure it will

eventually and the other really bummer part is once i get a logo with with a good quote and everything on it you can't redo it again it it just it can only do it once like it doesn't remember what it just did so you can't say oh i like that uh do you know i got all my characters for my french fry freddy and i wanted to put them into like a group photo but i can't do that it doesn't remember all the characters it made once once it makes it so it's a real bummer so it's got some really big drawbacks however it still helps me um with some ideas and just gives me other things to do yeah so so today is going to be a little bit warmer today i think it's warmer a little bit today we're still in a drought here in rhode island uh really most drought that i've seen

a long time that i remember we've actually had some fires here not in rhode island yeah but in massachusetts some pretty good you know fires that you see usually out west. So the weather is just getting crazy. Snow will be here soon. We really haven't had much of any snow in the last few years. And the way there is no rain, we're definitely not going to have any snow. So we'll see what happens with this winter. You never know what's going to go on with the weather but besides that it's been pretty pretty warm for november actually very

warm for november where we've been in the 60s 70s i think one day we had an 80s for november that's craziness so eventually we're going to get to the real cold stuff usually january february so i'm just kind of hunkering down for the winter got tons of things to do every day i can just randomly pick anything to do if i wanted to but usually my day revolves around my orders so now that i know what kind of orders i have i'm gonna pull that ps psp this morning i'll make that like a little video this morning early we'll do an early morning video gotta go get myself an iced coffee uh i do iced coffee light with milk and one sugar and i get a little donut or something and i have iced coffee around so that's a Rhode Island thing iced coffee i don't do hot coffee not normally unless i go out to breakfast or something and i have iced coffee around so that's a rhode island thing iced coffee

i don't do hot coffee not normally unless i go out to breakfast or something then maybe i'll have a hot coffee yeah i probably would have a hot coffee if i'm going out for breakfast but i hardly ever do that so and then um yeah i'll get my coffee and normally once i wake up i just get up i'm not i don't really i'm never really tired as soon as my brain's up I just wake up and because there's always stuff to do again right now it's 4 21 a.m in Rhode Island here and I'm up and there's like a million things I have to do already but it's Sunday so I can kind of kick back a little bit uh I decided now to add my podcast which I'll do something at nighttime before I shut down for the night.

And then something here in the morning. As I'm waking up here. But I'm pretty much ready to go now. And then we'll do it for about 20 minutes. And then I may do something else today too. I'm really into my vintage computing. So I did some Commodore the other day. I got some Commodore 64's I want to play around with.

I got a few. I'm going to sell motherboards off of those I think. I don't really have a lot of parts listed for vintage gaming. I got some tandy stuff uh but i'm gonna sell most some of my vintage gaming as intact i actually have a commodore 128 that's listed uh good to go i sold a another commodore 128 motherboard that didn't work. It's missing the power button. But it had a Jiffy. It's called a Jiffy DOS on it. Set up.

So somebody bought that one right away. So I sold that quick. I have one more. But this one the Jiffy DOS actually works. But I don't know where I put it. I can't find it. Because I want to list that one too. And I have lots of Tandy stuff.

Because I grew up. I'm 56. I grew up on trs80 the model one that's my first computer i'm still trying to find a photo there's a photo i have of me about 14 with the trs80 and i want to blow it up but i haven't found it to put on my uh i'll share it when i when i find it so trs80 rager shack so i started collecting trs80s and tandys about a year ago and now i have a bunch of them so i'm gonna start reselling a lot of those i just wanted to get them just to check them out like the tandy 1000 then there's an SX. There's a Tandy RL. I have one of those. There's a TX, Tandy 1000 TX. I have one of those.

And then I have, oh, a Tandy 1000 TL slash 2. They all do basically the same thing. But it's just fun to see the different ones. Some have the different floppy drives. And then I have all the Radio Shacks. Model 1, Model 2. I've got a Model 4P, like a portable one i still haven't finished that and i'd gotten some parts from australia for that and then i have model four i've got a little micro model and then i got a really teeny model of radio shack trs-80 so lots of fun stuff. I'm really into the vintage computing these days,

but really old vintage computing. Although I just worked on that, my Lenovo, which ended up working out pretty good for me. So that was just, I got some other computers that are, you know, just newer, but not that new that I could probably sell.

I got a bunch of, oh, then I have my elite desks g4 and a g6 and one of one or two of them has a back of sarah on it so that's what we're going to look at today we're going to look at my g6 my elite desk yeah i'll get that all later on today i just gotta uh i got them right here uh i need to set one up. I got to put a solid state drive in it. And then we'll play around with that. Alright so I'll get my morning going and I'll talk to you guys later on. or something usually during the day. Actually, all day. That's all I usually do. So something going on until the end of my night, and then we'll do a little story at the end of the night with my AI zippy author.
